    KB should change to a different person to do the carpet because my niece who's an infant bled her feet on an exposed nail. The guy should’ve used something that should cover the top of the edges of the vinyl and the carpet where the nails are. My niece was walking a lot so we had to cover it. While KB Home's work was clean and nice, we're not satisfied about the counter and the carpet.

    My son paid for one of KB Homes in the Orlando area and the plumbing alone is far below anything I have ever seen. The kitchen sink is falling down because the support brackets were not installed the correct way. The company put an under mount sink in and did not put any clips in the middle in front or back to support it. The garden tub that was installed does not get hot, the mixing valve that was installed has never worked, should have never been installed.

    The polylines that were used in one bathroom don't even have the chrome escutcheons. Rings around the lines coming out of the wall, just the lines coming out and the stops put on. And not even a main shut off valve that is easy to get too. These are things that a good plumber should never "slip" by. After having a new fence installed, he found out the heads to "his system" were not even inside his property lines. Would have thought someone could have caught this but this is too bad but a good learning lesson of what to watch out for when he buys next time. So I will make trips up from Sarasota to fix them, too bad.

    Hello, I posted on around 6-8-2016 about a plumbing problem my son was having in Orlando with his new home. Update: I had asked my Son to e- mail the company and after I drove home I went on this site and posted. I drove back up to Orlando from Sarasota on Wednesday and was told that KB had called and spoke with my Son and that they would have someone there on Thursday. My son called me that night. New brackets for the kitchen sink, new mixing Valve for the garden tub. Everyone is Happy. Thank KB for fixing these items.

    (0 stars) Service at time of buying was hardly adequate. Overall the house is adequate. If you can find a similar house not built by KB I would recommend buying from other builders. Since owning the house (we bought it brand new), there have been many issues. Most of which have surfaced after the warranty. These issues are not self-inflicted. Examples include but are not limited to: electrical problems, landscape quality, and other issues like tile/upholstery (no kids/no dogs). Their home buying experience is rigged to make the customer feel okay for a time, but beware of the ethics and integrity of the real estate/home business marketplace.

    There were problems when my family decided not to use the lender affiliated with KB (customer complaint was filed). In addition to that, KB made arrangements on behalf of our HOA with a contractor that maintains “common areas”. This contractor is expensive and provides very little value. If I were to buy another home, I would do everything in my power (even pay more money for the same house) for a peace of mind to not deal with companies that operate the way KB Home does. You have been warned.

    Since the first day I talked to KB Home staff regarding my options I told them I want a shower in my 2 bath because I have family member who are not safe to use a bathtub. When they did the approval the shower was cross-out and I ended getting a bathtub. I sent an E-mail to Mr. Brian ** telling him my frustration. I received an email from him asking me my best number to be reach.

    I sent him my # and he never ever call me back; but sent me a message with 3rd person Robert **, telling me "if you want the house like that without shower, get it. Otherwise cancel the contract. But we are not giving you no money at all," that's what Robert ** told me that his boss told him to inform me. Is that a correct or professional answer? Why Mr ** did not face the problem with me? Do you think that I deserve that treatment? I wait very patient when KB Home had some problems with the new regulations at that time. I should change my mind and get other company but I did not.

    We moved into our new house in December 2015 and have had nothing but problems with this house that KB homes built. Everything from continual electrical problems to no landscaping done to steps pulling away from the house to AC not working etc. I regret buying from KB homes and will discourage anyone and everyone to avoid KB Homes like the plague. I consider KB Homes bottom feeders in the Home building industry.

    My son is a first time home buyer. A friend referred us to KB Home at Harris Branch in Austin, Texas. His son was also buying a house in that neighborhood. They told my son about an allowance for the selection of options for the house. When he showed up to KB studios they explained that the allowance is a value for a given home so that the home appraises at that value. Anything over the allowance will have to be paid for before construction begins.

    My friend's son stayed within the allowance, but when the lender had the house appraised, it came $20,000 lower than the sale price. Now I expect my son's appraisal to be $30,000 since he exceeded the allowance given by KB Homes. These are young people buying their first home and they won't recover their investment in probably 10 or o years when the value of the house matches what they paid for it. How can KB Homes be allowed to do such thing? They should be banned from selling homes in Austin. If you are planning to buy a house watch out for KB Homes. They will take you for a ride. This is legal stealing.

    Unfortunately there are no enough complaint descriptors or options to describe the atrocious process that has been purchasing a KB Home. I would pay someone personally to go with another builder to save them the hassle and concern, they are running a completely inept business with lack of organization or clear leadership.

    From the beginning of my build out process I have had several missed appointments, lack of follow up, and overall lack of quality control. I have been promised a process such as a warm introduction to the client specialist with minimal execution and overall dismal results. I currently have an outstanding issue since November that has separately been brought up 3 different times with the expectation that I follow up for a broken outlet. The overall quality of the materials is dismal even though I have paid for upgrades on the initial materials.

    The clarity and lack of ownership from the design department, the sales department, the contractor, their preferred lender, and their own customer service is astounding and leads me to the only conclusion that the entire organization is broken. What makes the situation is even worse is that my dissatisfaction with the process upon initial closing was made abundantly clear yet it seems that KB Homes has settled for lip service and lack of execution.

    There is not enough characters to really express my disapproval of KB Homes. KB homes will tell you that they will take care of you, but will give you every excuse in the book to not to. If you have a issues during construction and fixing it is more than your deposit they will tell you they will return your deposit and take a hike.     KB Home has been outstanding. The people in sales really know everything about the home that they're selling. The construction staff is on top of everything, answered all questions and explained anything that you have questions about the house. They also keep an eye on everything that's been done. The people that designed the house, through the years that they've done the work, if you don't know the type of brick you need, they can tell you where to go and match. When the house has been completed, we didn't know a few things but Orlando gave us some suggestions and he's been outstanding.     From the beginning with the salespersons and then through the whole process, I liked the way KB Home explained to us the features of the house and everything. Then once going over there to the studio, all these options that we could use or get for the house were pretty good. They have everything laid out. The person that helped us there was very knowledgeable of what she was doing. She was giving us options also because sometimes we were undecided. And then she’s like, “You know what? We can put it this way and then see how it looks, or maybe we can put on the other job.” That was pretty good and neat.     I just want to let everyone know that before you by a KB Home please, please get a realtor or you will be screwed! KB gave us Home Community Mortgage to be our lender and they were horrible! They pre-approved us and started building our home and we watched our home being built and through the process they never kept up with us and told us how things were going with our loan until 30 days before closing and they started questioning things. My husband and I got screwed and we aren't even going to get our home! Sad! Sad! They dropped the ball big time and you must know that my husband, a military veteran, was slapped in the face by all this! So much for defending our country! Now I see how other veterans feel when they talk about how they get used and treated! Please don't ever buy a KB home without getting a realtor! My husband and I are back to square one and homeless on top of all this!

    We have recently purchased a new home in August 2015. Now we are in Maine and our carpet looks horrible as if there was a daycare going on here when there's only two adults and one teenager living in the home. We sent a request to KB Homes. They sent someone out to inspect the carpet. Then he also tried to say maybe it was our vacuum and he asked what kind of vacuum we had. Then I turned around and asked him which vacuum did he recommend. Well what do you know, we have the recommended vacuum so that could not be the issue. Then KB Homes responds with, "That is normal wear and tear." Really, in seven months? Our carpet looks horrible compared to other carpets that we have taken pictures of in our neighborhood and the families have multiple young kids. The joints are showing in our carpet.

    This is so unfair for us to have to replace the carpet at our own expense after seven months. The company makes so much profit to when it comes to warranty issues they do not want to be taking care of. Keep in mind it is still under the one year warranty through the home builder. I am being told that someone from KB Homes will be contacting me. The carpet that is used in apartment complexes is way better than the carpet that was installed in this new home. So far we have not been satisfied only due to the carpet issue. The rest of the home has been great so we will see what they have to say. Will give an update.

    My honest assessment of my KB home buying experience is as follows. The sales staff are knowledgeable and able to make sales and get you a decent deal. With that being said, they all are not equal and some need to improve their knowledge a bit on the product they are offering. I did not care for my local finance contact through KB and almost went with a different company for financing until I spoke with their main finance office and they made everything crystal clear. By far my best experience was with the construction manager Tommy. He is top notch, along with his crew of minions who get what he asks to be fix. Completed quickly, efficiently and without sacrificing quality. Been in my house for a month now. A few minor issues here and there that are being fixed as they pop up. Overall I would recommend for someone to buy a KB home.

    I have held my peace long enough, and now I am ready to complain!!! Let's discuss 04/09/2016, @ 1:18 pm, this incident is what made me decide to let loose. Saturday 04/09/16 @ 1:18 pm, our Cadillac CTS was parked in front of our home as it is every day due to the fact that it is my husband's work car and the garage has our other 2 cars inside of it. After a long day of shopping we came home and noticed that the entire front end of our car was dented, the fender was bent, the front right tire was busted wide open, so we checked our cameras only to see one of Brent's workers had dragged our car 5 feet down the road, thereby messing up several items under the hood.

    This was a HIT and RUN and the entire act is on TAPE because we have cameras around the entire perimeter of our home to protect us from outsiders. However, this has all been incidents from insiders, KB Home employees. What are your CORE Values? Immoral, unethical and just plain dishonest? What are they? We asked Brent for the plate numbers of the Truck and Trailer so that we may prosecute those individuals, they hit a neighbor's car as well but did NOT drag it to another subdivision and keep going, they just nipped that car, OUR car is being considered a TOTAL LOSS by PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE!!! DUE to KB HOME, a subdivision where we chose to make our safe Haven, where is that safe? How is it safe?

    We contacted the police immediately and filed a police report. He reviewed the tape and advised us to also contact Brent since his trailer/office is directly across from our home. We contacted Brent only to find that HE DID NOT care, just like always, he NEVER owns up to his mistakes caused by his workers. Prior to this incident the workers were driving in our grass and tearing up our concrete. They broke the entire driveway in the backyard and had to go and re-pour only months later. Brent stated that this was normal in new subdivisions.

    Prior to this incident the workers put down old grass and Brent stated that the grass would turn green. Well it is still BROWN today. Prior to this incident the workers stole our air conditioner and almost burned down our home not once but TWICE. Prior to this incident the workers stole our appliances and Brent stated that this was normal in new subdivisions that is why they have the owners move in as soon as the appliances go into the home. Prior to this incident the workers and my husband had an altercation and my husband blocked them in and called Brent to let him see that it was his workers driving through our yard. Brent did NOTHING.

    Prior to this incident the workers backed up into our fence, and Brent never responded. Prior to this incident the workers were supposed to repaint and they never came until I advised Brent that I would contact corporate. Prior to this incident the workers tore our ATT line out of our backyard and we had to pay ATT to come back and replant it in the ground. Prior to this incident Brent was nice because he needed a 10, well we can name more than 10 incidents that is immoral, unethical and just plain dishonest. I have done all that I could to contact someone in order to assist me in these matters with KB Home, including sending this email to mailto:CustomerRelations@kbhome.com. They sent an automatic email back stating that they would contact me within 24-hours, however, I have yet to receive an email or a phone call from them or the PM in the subdivision.

    I was not sure that I put my initials with respect to paying $600 for the infrastructure cost related to water and sewer. I was surprised to get a bill in the mail yesterday. This a hidden disclosure agreement snuck when signing many pages during closing. I'd to ask the bill collector to send me a copy. This cost would be considered as part of the infrastructure cost for normal thinking mind, which would be eaten by KB Home. It is shocking that those of us who bought town houses are liable to pay $600/year for 30 years. Is there legal way to force this builder to eat this cost. Don't buy KB Home.

    KB Homes' sales staff were so kind and helpful, especially as we were trying to pick out exactly where we wanted to build the lot. The design studio was great. They helped us pick out all the things that we want and saved up our budget. The rep was very conscious of our budget and understood exactly how much we had available to spend. The final superintendent that we had, he was really great and was very responsive to our questions. Every time we texted him, he responded usually within an hour.     I purchased a home from KB Home in the new development known as Creekside Commons located in Clayton NC in February 2015. I have had nothing but problems trying to get things repaired and/or replaced inside my home. Finally when these things were taken care of another problem arose - the ground behind my home is sinking. KB says it's not their problem, but refuse to give me contact information for who is responsible. KB took care of one neighbor's sinking ground problem because someone in that household worked for KB. KB stated although they are not responsible, they would take care of it because they want the homeowners to 100% satisfied, but nothing has been done to date.

    This was our first home buying experience. We really didn't know what to expect and how much work/time is put in into buying. At first KB Home sales team made it sound very easy and how much they'd be there the whole time for us. We were originally promised a time frame by the sales guy... A couple of months passed and we had noticed that there had been no progress. I had repeatedly asked the sales guy if it was still on schedule as promised and I had even emphasized that we were in no rush and the only reason for me asking was whether or not I had to extend my lease to my apartment.

    He kept responding "Everything is still on schedule and we'd be surprised how fast it'll be put up as soon as they break ground." Needless to say, we had to move out of our apartment a month and a half before closing.     My husband and I built a new home with KB Home and closed at the beginning of February 2015. Within 1 yr. my master shower floor pan cracked. The cracks could have occurred months ago. The cracks have a resemblance of short hair. I didn't realize they were cracks. I have never experienced a shower floor pan crack in my old house that was 10 years old. I have filed a claim with KB Home to have the floor pan replaced. As a homeowner, any areas of the shower that have cracks where water could cause damage is a major concern.

    I have contacted KB Home customer service and requested to have the shower floor pan replaced. I contacted the manager and he has REFUSED to replace the shower floor pan. The damage is within 1 yr and should be under manufacture and KB Home warranty. Damage could have been caused by improper installation. I was told the shower pan was made of fiberglass, and it's flexible. Why did it crack? We paid $5,000 to upgrade our master bathroom. Overall, I have never had any good experience working with KB Home on my home from start to finish.

The process was easy, and everything was explained well. The home is very well built, and it’s the most energy efficient home I’ve ever had.     And if you buy a home from KB Home and you need something and call the builder, he will call you back that day. That’s better service than I get from my own doctor. Dave in particular is amazing.     KB homes was really nice and works hard with what they are meant to do. 1st time we walked up to KB homes over at Whitmore, we thought that we could possibly live here. But after speaking to your sales agent, we felt that we can live here. If that makes sense. We had most questions answered and felt like this was an easy process. We were as well really surprised on how fast the construction of the house was. Which was nice and seeing that we could move in as sooner as we thought it would.

    I just bought a KB Home two days before Christmas. I felt a little bullied into making the decision because I would lose the lot. I'm happy with the lot. And I'm happy with the house. And I'm really glad I didn't lose the lot. The thing I'm am NOT happy with is that KB Home has this ridiculous policy that you have to sign your life away right then and there. What I mean is that that night, December 23rd, I spent almost four hours signing documents that basically made me give up all my rights on having any kind of opinion on my own house. The house I am paying a LOT of money for. The house I will be living in, not anyone from KB Home.

    I had to go through every single part of the house right then and there and decide whether or not I wanted a separate shower and tub in the master bath, whether or not I wanted doors on the den, whether or not I wanted a fireplace, etc., and I am now not allowed to change my mind about any of those decisions that I felt way too rushed to have made at that time. I opted not to do the fireplace because I was worried about it taking up too much of the great room, but now, four days later, I've changed my mind. And I can't do anything about it. I mean, what?!

    The neighborhood has zero houses, I repeat zero houses, built except for the two models. My house won't even begin breaking ground for at least two months and I cannot add that fireplace because why? I understand that it would be a giant inconvenience to change plans when you're close to building, but to have to make final decisions the day you decide to buy is just stupid. At least give your buyers a couple weeks to decide what they need or don't need in their homes.

    In addition to that, I was under the impression that I would have plentiful options of finishes to chose from. This is not the case. I went to the design studio yesterday and left feeling very disappointed. The options are way limited. They have about between five and fifteen choices for most of the fixtures and you have to chose one of those. I can probably find something I'm okay with, but, honestly, I'm paying a lot, and I have to live with my choices, so I would have liked to have had a little more range to chose from. Also, for the level of quality they pride themselves on, they sure do pick the crappiest choices to have "included" in the price. Almost as if they do it on purpose so you have to pay mega bucks to upgrade.

    Then there's things like the toilets and bathtubs, which you have basically two choices and too bad if you are unhappy with the shallow bathtub in the master bath--I will probably have to just pull it out and replace it right after I move in. I'm pretty not okay with that, but whatever. The thing about KB Homes that really bothers me is that I looked at three different neighborhoods, all about ten to fifteen miles apart, and the prices of things like doors, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, etc., vary drastically within the three developments. Of course the development I chose is by far on the high end. I went with the eight-foot doors throughout the house and it was twice the price as it was in one of the other neighborhoods. When I asked why this was the case, I was told that it was because of how they had to use different vendors. Okay maybe, but I seriously doubt it.

    Then when I discovered that the fixtures are also different prices depending on location, it proved that my suspicions were right. They are obviously using the same vendor, Moen, Kohler, etc., so not please explain to me how those are more in a different area. If you're going to flat-out lie to me, at least make it somewhat believable. At least say it's the cost of installation or something I could somewhat buy. So I guess what I'm saying is that I bought a house I pretty much love, but I'm not at all excited about it. That should so not be the case. I'm very, very disappointed, KB Home. Very.

    We're happy that we went with KB Home. From day one when we first walked into a KB model home to when we were handed over the key, that was a great experience. From the materials being used to all the contractors working under the company, they were very professional. My wife visited the home every day and she never felt threatened by any of the contractors working during those times. They were all very courteous and they informed her of what they were doing. She was told, "If you have any questions, you know, let us know. We'll find an answer for you."

    My husband and I signed a contract to purchase on a new build KB home back in March. We are new home buyers, and aware we would encounter bumps in the process of building a new home. However, our first experience has been a disappointment from the beginning to current time. We've been tossed around from sales person, we had total of 3. Our KB studio experience was a bad one. And we've been seeing very poor workmanship and no attention to detail in the build our home. They installed damaged cabinets, cracked interior doors, shoddy roof, the upgraded front door has a gouge, and the list goes on. We've brought it up to various people about our concerns but yet to see any improvements done. If we could go back, I would not buy from KB home and purchase a home from a better builder.

    Water damage, framing issues, broken pipes, mold exceeding state's safe levels, cracked foundation, broken windows, and the house hasn't even reached the first inspection point. There should be negative stars for this builder. I absolutely can't believe how bad our experience has been thus far. We have been under contract to have a house built in Canterbury Park in Pearland TX since July and construction is headed backwards at this point. Initially we were lied to by the sales consultant. She said it would be three weeks before we could buy a house because they were having issues with permitting all of the houses they had already sold with the city. Six weeks later we were finally able to sign a contract. The design center process was hectic but has so far been the best part of the experience.

    After that we had to deal with the finance people. The person here in TX didn't send all the paperwork we initially signed to the person in FL causing major confusion and aggravation for us. The person in FL was worse. She contacted us 15 different times, each for "one more item" to complete our paperwork. Why she couldn't review what she had and then send us a list is beyond me. Also both these people blamed the other for the problems; very unprofessional. Next came the build which has been a fiasco. Wall board not completely covering the frame, PVC pipes shattered and broken by the framers, wall boards popping off the house, broken windows in house, the concrete on the front and back porch cracked less than a month after being poured leading me to believe the foundation is flawed, heavy rain during the build which flooded the second floor of the house, and a myriad of other issues.

    Our biggest problem has been the flooded house. The two incidents of heavy rain flooded the second floor of the house with standing water at least half an inch deep. A great concern is the water pooled to one side of the house, indicating to me that the house is not level. This water was also not removed. It was allowed to saturate the OSB decking for the second and drip through the wood. Of course the boards are now peeling, cracking, warping, and delaminating. Of bigger concern is the layer of mold that has developed all over the house. When we finally got the builder to have the house looked at almost 20 different kinds of mold were found in only two tape lifts and the house was deemed unsafe due to higher than state allowed square footage of mold growth.

    The inspector recommended the removal of ALL the OSB decking and the stairs as well as placing the house in a negative pressure plastic bubble to remove all the mold and not contaminate other areas. This was almost a month ago that they received this report. To date they have done nothing but give us the runaround. Supposedly they have to get 3 different quotes from repair companies, but in a month have managed to get zero quotes. Also, I have tried to get them to answer how they plan to remove ALL the decking between the first and second floor framing without removing everything on top of the decking. They refuse to answer.

    We have requested they tear the house down and start over since the damage is so extensive and they ignored the problem and kept building for two weeks after we brought it to their attention initially. If they had done the repairs when we first showed them the issue, then they wouldn't have to replace so much. Of course they have thus far refused to see things our way and have just elected to fight us or ignore us. Bottom line... if you can build with anyone other than KB... DO SO!

    KB sales have very bad response time and it seems like they couldn't care less if you bought their home or not. Dealing with their lender, home community mortgage was the worst part of our whole process and they are not in compliance with appraisal turnaround time and closing and they along with KB sales were unethical in withholding our appraisal back from us since it did not appraise at value when we were the ones who paid for the appraisal as buyers. KB should not have been given that information and the only reason they were is because they are affiliated with HCM. If we had gone through our own lender none of this would have been allowed. As a result they failed repeatedly to close on promised dates but yet did not feel the need to tell us it would be delayed until day of.

    I cannot express how amazing my experience has been with my home so far. I have been living in it for coming on 3 months so far. Though I have had two small issues with the home, they have been resolved immediately! Tyler at KB Home was notified of the issues and had an action plan ready in less than a day every time! To note the issues, both involved the sliding door in which water was able to get into the home. They were resolved in less than 48 hours (other than cosmetics that took about 2 weeks).

    When I went to purchase the home, I was expecting to basically be on my own from that point. That was incorrect! Tyler has made the experience after buying the home wonderful! Anytime I have any questions or need any assistance, he has been there to help me at every turn. Sadly, I am only to give the experience 5 stars for 'Would recommend to a friend'. I would like to change that to 6 for 'Already have recommended friends'. So far my experience has been amazing. At the pace we are going, the experience will only get better and better. I would love to type out another review after a year of owning the home to continue letting others know how my experience has been!

    The best thing about purchasing from KB is the support that you can receive from people such as Tyler. Please keep this up and you will find no shortage of advocates such as myself.     KB home put us through hell while buying our home. We are qualified buyer with 20% down. We did not use their lender because the rates offered were not competitive and they refused to offer us incentives (something all our new neighbors received). They also led us right to the point of locking promising rates then falling out of touch for days, then conveniently offering only a higher rate (when the market interest rate had actually fallen). When I switched lenders they gave me a default letter, threatened me, manipulated escrow, refused to issue proper notice for a finish date but proceeded to threaten to charge me a daily fee if my close when past the homes finish date. They gave us all the courtesy of one weeks notice, which came in the form of emails to my lender, not an official letter which turns out they have a policy to send to buyers a month before.

    Since both my office agents quit (due to unethical behavior by KB), I was never sent this. They have a relationship with the title company and funnel the sellers who chose their lender to the front of funding, and we had to fight to get anything. Closing took an extra two weeks because the officer refused to work with my lender until the last minute, all my neighbors homes who were finished before got to move in at least a week before us. A big deal since we had to pay extra rent during the wait. This is only a portion of the hell we went through. Why does this company do this to their clients? Not only are they unethical, their behavior towards customers who chose to go with an outside lender is in my opinion (and the opinion of at least two former KB agents) is illegal. They are unscrupulous and awful. I will never send anyone their way. They also have employees who manipulate, if you complain, they retaliate.

    There were a lot of unexpected incidents that occurred which made our experience a bit more stressful than it should be. We thought it would be a lot more smooth as far as buying and building a home. Probably in the future if we buy a home from KB Home, we're most likely not going to sell it anymore. Being a first time homeowner, you lack in a lot of the knowledge on how to completely build your dream home. I wish that we felt more important as a customer versus feeling that our opinions didn't really matter. Also, the consideration from other people was not taken seriously. Customer service needs improvement. On a positive note, the designing part was really great. The sales rep was also very helpful and nice in every way. He did the best of his ability to provide us with the best customer service that he can.

    I had a very good experience with KB Home's sales staff as well as the mortgage agency. They always look out for your best intentions and aren't pursuing anything to benefit themselves. In fact, they're actually benefitting the customer. Moreover, I had never met somebody like William. We love him and he made this experience very good for us. Overall, you basically get your money's worth and KB Home has a friendly staff who looks out for the customer's best interest.

    Built our first ever home in 2014. Loved all of our KB team during the buying process but now that our one year inspection came around I'm very displeased. We had a large crack in our garden tub. We were told it wasn't the foundation by the Flying Colors worker. Two months later the crack that took 3 days to fix is back. Took three phone calls to KB to get an appointment. Which the supposed "owner" of Flying Colors left a card on my door at 10:20 am... I was standing in my kitchen on the phone with my husband at this time. The "owner" stating I never answered the door.

    Oh and by the way he is now an hour away in a matter of 20 minutes the amount of time it took for me to reach someone at Flying Colors and KB and can't come back today. I've now called KB back and there isn't much they can do till a week later when the repair "owner" can come back out. I am beyond upset. I took off a whole day to sit here for this Flying Colors company. I think it's time KB finds a better company to help their customers.

    The field staff from KB Home was excellent. They didn't try to pull any punches and told us straight what it's going to be like through the whole process. They've been in contact with us for the most part, although sometimes, I'd have to work to track somebody down like the lender. But they were on time with the build and they gave the home to us on the date that they said they would.

    We went down in April 2015 to look at KB Homes in Georgetown. We liked the model homes so much we decided to go look at land. Found a beautiful lot next to a water reservoir and backed up into private land. We loved it so we went back, wrote them a check, signed all the paperwork and we left. The next day we got a call saying someone else had put money down before us so we had to find another lot. Well we were a little upset but they were nice enough to open the lot next to the one we wanted even though technically it wasn't supposed to be. We then are told we have to get down to the design studio as soon as possible. Spending more than two hours going over every little thing is a lot to do especially all at once.

    We then had to go back down a week later to finalize everything we picked. We decided to go with the most expensive floor because it's scratch resistant and we have animals. They told us our house would be done late August early September, which is great since it was June. Well they love to bombard you with texts and phone calls when they need something but as soon as they get it you don't hear from them. Well everything kept getting pushed back further and further even though the people who had gotten the lot we wanted had moved in and got settled. Because the construction crew was getting behind all of our credit reports and taxes expired. So we had to do that all over again and not only did they have to pull our credit again they did it 2 or 3 times in a month.

    My husband and I decided to go down last weekend November 8, 2015 to see the progress since our closing date was the 22nd of this month. When we walked in we could not believe all the mistakes we found that they hadn't. 1 out of 6 shower shelves was level, the rest looked like they were put in by a child, the 3 stone pillars in front were not the same height and one was leaning. They took 5 inches off of our kitchen. The wall from the bedroom to the countertop, they had installed the wrong sink downstairs and of course they don't tell you at the design studio that when you get the expensive floor you will have ugly wooden seams in your floor so as soon as you walk in that is what you see.

    The tree in the backyard had a stone wall around it but no drain so we had water that had collected there for 2 weeks with no place to go. They say the protected land denied the requests but they have a good 5 feet to put a drain in. To make matters worse I get a call from the VP of operations who kept giving me excuses and told me that the house wasn't complete so honestly those mistakes aren't worth worrying about. Not once was there an "I'm sorry." It was just all excuses passing the blame off on someone else.

    For the money we were paying for this house there shouldn't be any issues. He ended the phone call with "well then you will be losing your $1000," and I replied "well you never took it out" and we called the bank to do a stop payment. Never in my life have I dealt with adults that do not own up to the mistakes. I'm just glad we hadn't signed anything and we were able to walk away. Oh and to only have an 18-month warranty on a home that poorly built is terrible. Imagine all the things we couldn't see that they did quickly and poorly. I also have pictures to back up every single complaint in here.
