Workmanship was not great- plaster slopped on the garage flashing. Flashing pulling away from the wall in the garage. Concrete floor in garage has drainage issues. Obstruction in the plumbing, electrical wiring problem, cabinet indentations around hardware. Paint on carpet, uneven seams on trim. Uneven wall/ceiling texture, grout touched up, small bubble holes. Thermostat was not set up properly- so furnace ran, but no heat- called for service.

Overal KB Home provides us with many options in floor plans and designs. Every space in our home has a purpose and wont be a wasted space. KB also has a great staff that made the process run even smoother for us. We will love our home for many years to come.

As a first time home buyer, I was drawn to KB Home in Ontario Ranch, CA because of its design and options. From the beginning, I was told that the home would be available at the end of January but was not given an exact date. In the meantime I sold my home and planned on moving in end of January. As I get closer to the date, I expected representatives of KB Home to provide me a close of escrow date. But was provided only estimates and approximate dates of move in. When I asked for more concrete dates, I was told they could only approximate. After weeks and weeks of trying to get information and consistent dates of moving, I gave up. I will never see to buy a home with KB home again. Felt very much like I was being deceived.

KB Home's professional staff have made our experience with building our first home better than we could have ever imagined. They had a great choice of floor plans and options available that we could adjust to fit our needs. We were able to be involved throughout the building process. Logan and Ty kept us well informed on what was going on. Robert made the loan process easy and was always willing to answer questions. Design studio was helpful with helping us choose the many design choices to create a home perfect for us.

We are a rather large family, and we also have several special needs children. We searched for a home for 4.5 years. When we arrived at Hanover Square Ms. Posy met with us showed us around and motivated us. After that initial visit we decided this was the place. The rest went just as well from start to delivery we must say it's been blessings upon blessings. And we are not certain that we will need to do it again or need to, One thing is certain though, It will be difficult to duplicate or even supersede. KB Home sales staff, particularly Linda, was and continues to be helpful throughout my home buying and move-in experience. Ruben, the constitution manager, continues to make sure all is well with my home. Very satisfied with choosing KB as my new residence.

This is our 2nd. KB Home purchase. The first time, our buying experience was not good at all, and we had a 4 month delay in getting our home. When we visited the Sales office for this new home at Inspirada, our Sales Counselor Jim, took the time and explained to us how the process worked now, and convinced us... He was Right! We had a very good experience!

Working with Michael ** was a pleasure, he always made himself available to us even on his days off and at night when he was home with his family. KB HOME has lots of plans for new build home to select. You will have lot of natural lights in your home if you chose the right plan. Signing sales contract to construction and then move in was really smooth with outstanding support from KB home staffs. There will be overwhelming information during construction and move in phase, but they will make it comfortable and easy for you. I would definitely recommend KB Home builder to my friends.

Just the fact that we had the opportunity to be able to personalize our own house from the ground up is truly amazing! It is so exciting to move into a beautiful new house that we had a part in customizing! At every level of the process, the KB staff was kind, honest, and helpful, which keeps the humanity in the business! They were not trying to solely make a sale or make the most money possible, but honestly cared about our personal lives and wellbeing. Therefore, we didn't feel like a part of an assembly line of home buyers, instead, it was more personal and heartfelt. We are truly thankful to KB for bringing us into our beautiful new home!

BUYER BEWARE! I dealt with Robert ** on the purchase of a Home in Jacksonville Florida from KB Home. This company enjoys to pull a bait and switch and then when you confront them they believe that it is alright for them to yell at the customer. When attempting to cancel Robert sent me a cancellation for putting the reason as “buyer remorse” and stated they would not refund my deposit. When I responded to his email about not signing that since this was not the reason, I received no answer. I have been deceived and lied to from Robert and KB Home from the beginning even with the mention that Jax Beach is 15 minutes from the location of the home. I highly advise to save your time and money and not purchase from these criminals.

Process from start to finish was unforgettable. Overall experience from start to finish was exciting. I was able to see the evolution of the home from the ground, to finish. Picking the upgrades to have the house just like I wanted was awesome.

Great, fast and efficient. I purchased a home in Tangle wood Deanna was my loan officer and Jeff and Judy where my sale agents, all of them where very knowledgeable and helpful, kept me up to date. Closing was really smooth.

The KB staff from sales, finance, and construction were more than accommodating. Throughout the entire build process, the team members were readily available to assist. Even when there were “road blocks” more and more team members were ready and willing to step up, assist, and get the job done.

My experience with KB Home was great. Jason ** and Linda ** did a great job by keeping me well informed from the beginning to the end. And also Jeff the contractor was awesome as well. KB home worked with me on choosing a convenient closing date because I work out of state. This is my first experience buying a home and it was a great one. Our experience with KB was great! Like with everything else in life there were a few bumps on the road but they came through and delivered. From pre-construction to the Design Studio to all the Buyer Orientations, the process were explained to us in detail, we would recommend to friends and family!

Reliable, responsive and professional. For my first home it was a terrific experience. I would definitely recommend any first time buyer looking into the new home buying market to look into KB home. Also their customer care is was amazing.

Excellent pre-construction and sales staff. The subcontractors are very sloppy as they build and leave tons of debris and trash laying around. I hate to think of what I might find if I dig deep enough in the backyard. They're also terrible at installing exterior pavers. It's better to save the money on the upgrade and hiring a contractor after the fact; or doing it yourself.

My older home was a KB Home built in 2000. Seems like the quality may have been a little better back then. Some design aspects can be improved. One or two pockets of dead space. We have have appreciate an option to add a 1/2 bath.

KB staff members made my first home buying experience a pleasure. I am a single parent with no one to help me with my journey and my KB team was always there to help me with questions I had about the many various steps of the new home construction. Their goal was always and will always be making me (customer) happy and providing me with the perfect constructed home of my dreams. Believe me they succeeded!! Overall I was very satisfied with the KB Homes experience. I am a first time home buyer and did not know what to fully expect. The sales reps were able to explain what to expect and helped me decide to move forward. They were friendly and approachable throughout the entire process and even after I moved in. The construction rep was so knowledgeable and walked me through every inch of my home during the build and before completions so I would know what to expect as a home owner. He covered so many things I never knew to think about, which is so helpful.

Great sales staff. Great Construction super. I noticed that once the warranty company takes over, other residents complained that it took months to get warranty issues resolved. My nieghbor had mold in her bathroom with mushrooms growing through the floors. Warranty team ripped up the floors. They didn't come back for a month or so. So whatever issues you may have, try to get it resolved during the first 90 days so that it gets fixes quickly.

The entire process went smoothly from loan application, home selection, contract signing, loan process, studio selections, construction, and closing. Overall I am very happy with the quality of my new home.

It was very exciting to purchase a new home from KB Home. This was our first experience with a new build and the process was smooth, easy and very exciting! The home is well made and the staff have all been attentive and informative. Each department went above and beyond to make sure that this was a positive experience for us and to do whatever was necessary to make sure we were beyond satisfied.

The quality of construction was abysmal. The quality of finish work was unacceptable. The foremen, and those in charge of engaging subcontractors, need to be reviewed for competence. I can't name one group of subcontractors that did a quality job. There was absolutely no continuity between subcontractor (plumbing to drywalling, to tiling etc) and no apparent oversight anywhere along the way to make sure the jobs were done correctly. Inspectors appeared to be absent from the job site. Finally, KB put profit above customer satisfaction. We will not recommend KB to anyone for their future homes.

Very smooth home buying experience. Right from selecting a correct house as per your requirement and within your budget to availing a home loan, selecting building materials/appliances of your choice to timely closing and extended care and service all that is very professional.

KB provides beautiful homes and a great team of staff. I would have the vendors or subcontractors pay more attention to the fine details of their installation and workmanship. I know KB has high standards and I believe that should be instilled and passed along to everyone one else involved in building a KB Home.

KB Home is a solid builder. We love our floor plan. They did such a good job of utilizing every square inch, resulting in a spacious one story home with plenty of storage. It’s only 2089 sq but it feels so much bigger. The reasonable price of the home left plenty of room to upgrade our cabinets and flooring, and add stone to the exterior of the home. The design center not only had great options for us to chose from, but excellent staff as well. Thank you for making our first build so enjoyable.

KB has a knack in finding the correct place with good plans to build houses. That said, we had lot of issues with the house during delivery. Customer service representatives are extremely friendly and they'll do their bit to help you a bit. Overall experience has been positive till now.

Everyone is great except Customer Service. They are difficult to reach, don’t return calls, and can’t seem to fulfill a simple request for an Owner’s Manual for the thermostat. I am wary of attempting to resolve issues more complex than that!

My wife and I had been looking at homes in the Bay Area off and on for nearly a year. We had seen countless existing homes and decided to drop by KB Homes Sales Office with our agent. We saw the model home and immediately fell in love with the place. We met our sales agent who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly, not pushy. That very same weekend, we went into contract and began our process to move back to San Jose from Gilroy. That began a very stressful process to sell our existing home and the move.

The staff was friendly and always helpful in providing the information required to understand the process. Maricela & Steve are extremely patient in answering our questions. The model homes were nicely done and helped us in picking up different configurations of the homes. All 3 plans at Rosebriar were well designed and made efficient use of the space. We've already recommended our friends who are equally impressed us.

The staff at all levels of our buying experience was great. The homes are built soundly and very energy efficient. Wish the lots were a bit bigger but the amenities at this location make up the difference.

KB Home is definitely built on relationships as we have formed several over the course of the time it took to build our home. The company has a standard of customer service that is truly impressive. From start to finish we literally have no complaints with anything. I think the company is truly innovative when it comes to the design of the homes. From the spacious bathrooms and kitchens to the options you can choose throughout the house; there is a model/floorplan for each and every family. We have the 2333 model and we absolutely love the size!

There were a couple of issues which I understand is not possible to have a perfect experience when buying a house but KB made the best effort on the whole process to keep us informed, comply with the tasks that we had and to keep our satisfaction at the highest.

We were trying to build our home at Capano Ridge in San Antonio Texas. At first, we thought this would be a great experience because Mellisa was an absolutely amazing representative. We signed for the lot about four months ago and started to get a little impatient because we were told they would be breaking ground no later than November 15th. Well, it's December and ever since Mellisa left we have not gotten any calls or anyone to keep us in the loop. We still have not gotten our appointment scheduled with the foreman.

Everything from sales to contracting went very smoothly. I was very pleased how often we were contacted and informed of any new information. Everyone is always aware and kept in contact. Any issues we had were quickly resolved. I would 100% refer KB Homes!

Our KB build exceeded our expectations. The team we worked with was phenomenal and we cannot speak enough praise. The build team was extremely attentive to every detail and informed us weekly on happenings of the build. Our third party inspector also mentioned he'd never seen such a clean worksite with very little action items to be repaired. We couldn't be more pleased!

Outside of the lack of communication from the sales office with my realtor the experience was a great one. I really love my home and the customer service team. My Customer service rep is always so very responsive. I love the check ins after being moved and and getting settled. I feel like they do truly want me to enjoy the home and all it has to offer.

Our experience with KB Homes proves why they have been in business for so many years and are a national company. The customer service has been outstanding and it is evident that they really care about their product and client satisfaction. KB provides a fair market value home that is at a minimum above average value of product.

They build a very fine product and they really stand by what they say. They are relationship-based and they want to be there for you if something is wrong. We had some hiccups but we had folks all the way up the chain, come to the rescue to see what they could do right. We are happy with our house and we will be here for the long term.

Overall we love the house. The price and even the upgrades were reasonable, the staff was great as well, they all went above and beyond to try and take care of the situations that would arise. What's more to love you get to build your dream home from the ground up inside and out. Overall it was a decent experience but we are not fully satisfied with everything about the house. The workmanship was horrible. If I could attach pictures of the bad workmanship I would be. The workers would install damaged products and try to cover them up to looking "presentable" assuming most people will not notice because of being overwhelmed with everything that's going on.

There were initially delays in closing, due to City permit complications, but the team at KB Homes Communication Hills handled it with top-notch professionalism and candor, with frequent updates on realistic expectations along the way. They handled the stress of delays that were not their responsibility, but still did so without complaints and moved the needle in making sure the sale was smooth. Construction-wise, KB homes at Communication Hills proved themselves different from the reviews in the past, and demonstrated that they care and are committed to the workmanship in the newer phases of homes that they built.

KB Homes from sales to finished construction was an awesome experience! The staff was very professional and went above and beyond at walking you through the whole process. The communication was the best we have ever experienced in building a home. Updated pictures of the build, texts, emails allowed us to relax and enjoy the process.

Overall experience with KB Homes has been very disappointing, we held them to a high standard but in return got a house with many issues. Customer care has stepped up and guided us through many of the issues.

Beautiful home but not satisfied with some of the construction in the inside. I believe KB could have done a better job with some things in the inside of the home. A new home should be as close to perfect as possible. A new homeowner should not smell gas the day of move in, see paint splatters on doors, sink plaster sloppy and substandard, loose (low voltage) wires in the attic, dented new AC unit in the attic etc. If I spend this amount of money it should be as close to perfect as possible. However, some of the staff were very attentive in correcting things that I was not pleased with. I'm big on customer service so I appreciate the willingness to correct the mistakes.

To us KB has made our dream come true, we designed and build our home from scratch. Yes, there were hiccups here and there but we worked through them together. We are excited for the years to come! The quality of my home has met my standards and I never want to leave! We did not have a great experience two years ago with KB, which ending in being denied. KB's corporate policies are not consumer-friendly. Towards the completion of the home, you will feel rushed, you will be highly stressed out and you will need to do third party inspections. Do not think for one second that your home will be built to perfection. I got two inspections on my home and each inspector found different things. Having said that, the KB team is the reason why I give KB a 4/5. The people working at KB regardless of which department they're from have customer service skills. This is a big deal. If you get someone that cannot communicate with you, then you will experience big headaches. KB hires great personnel and it is these people that make KB a good builder. I can assure you that it is not their policies. Quality of the home is good so far. I would recommend KB as a builder in terms of quality. The quality from other builders seems to be lacking. KB is good option to choose if you care about workmanship and quality of the home.

I wish anyone who wants to buy a home could experience the wonderful, helpful and professional service we had. I had our home inspected prior to our one year warranty period. The inspector noted the excellent framing work with only minor issues. The detail work is an entirely different story. Inferior paintwork with missing spots and no back rolling. Switch and outlet cover plates were installed prior to painting, resulting in paint on every cover. Paint everywhere on the tile as though it was never covered. Our custom cabinet for the double oven had been cut freehand along the bottom to bring it level with the adjacent cabinet. Hoping we didn't notice? One wall on the island cabinet was severely out of plumb, resulting in a gap where the dishwasher was installed ranging from a 1/4" at the bottom to 1" at the top. The tile work was the only trade that did a decent job.

With buying a home being such a stressful thing, KB Home team made the experience easier than expected. The sales staff we worked with, Anthony and Lori, willingly answered the many questions we had. Being able to see our home being built from the ground up was an amazing experience. Towards closing, Mike ensured our house was done right and was a pleasure working with.

KB Homes has lived up to our expectations. From looking at a dirt lot to the day we signed our papers and got our keys it was an easy no hassle journey. We are satisfied with nearly everything. However, I am not happy about the atrocious quality of paint you decide to use on the inside of your homes. It has been explained to me that it is one coat of low VOC paint... which basically equates to one coat of primer... I mean seriously. It gets scuffed SO easily and the texture comes off when it is cleaned. I want this to be fixed. I didn't pay a ton of money for a house to have to repaint the inside because of the poor quality of paint you decide to use to save a buck. Our landscaping in the front has also sunk about 4-6'' and our driveway has no support under it as it is hallow because it was not tamped properly. Our front stoop is also falling off the front of our house. Terri is working on the last two things but the paint issue needs to be addressed.

Our master bathroom wasnt to our expectations on what we upgraded, our front door latch was broken, our kitchen cabinets are split, the back door had to be taken out and our new house had to be dried due to a leak from someone not doing their job right. Our stairs are warped, our carpet that we upgraded doesnt have padding under the stairs. Light switches are a constant pain behind the door instead of to the left.

KB Homes is a fantastic choice for your family's forever home. My family was treated with nothing but professionalism and kindness throughout our entire process. We were on a tight schedule and KB Homes delivered on time and with great customer service. Thank you to everyone involved!

Their lender was unprofessional from the start and their superintendent has anger issues and lied about repairing an issue. Warranty repairs that are completed are performed quickly and poorly. It is obvious that KB Home is more concerned about building homes as fast as they can to then quickly move on to the next building site location to make as much profit as quickly as they can. They do not care about their reputation or providing a good quality product for their customers. I will not purchase another KB Home again and will make sure my family and friends do not purchase one as well.

The construction of the KB Homes are solid. The building materials and staff are great however, the design studio was disappointing and needs to offer more choices and the staff needs more training. Studio was great and was on point for the house to come out how it Was described and construction was on point to the tee and was very well explained thru the whole process.

There are always minor issues with new home construction, although for the price point the KB Homes in the Inland Empire show well when compared to other builders. The quality of workmanship is noticeable; especially after viewing 40 new homes from 6 different developers and 20 newer existing homes.

From one fiasco after another, and the restrictions in the amount of money. KB Home is allowed to compensate customers for KB Home ERRORS, Clare and Michael delivered part of our reparation requests for the delays in construction. On the other hand, KB Home loan team was not helpful. They completely dropped the ball from the very beginning by not providing us with loan pre-qualifications. KB Home loan team cited loan restrictions to force us to pay $10,000 to buy down the interest rate 5 weeks before closing. Your team is awful and I would never recommend KB home to anyone.

I loved going through KB homes as my first home. I thought their process was fast with fantastic products in their home. I loved that they had kept me updated throughout the building process of my home. Although, I just see some faults as we are living through the home such as little flaws as holes and patches on the walls, etc.

You get a wonderful sounding song and dance of how beautiful and great quality your house will be. Reality, they moved our closing, plus construction up by 4 months to finish the house by the end of the year (for their accounting), rushed through the final walk through phase, felt bullied into giving good ratings with the builders basically staring at you waiting.

KB Home did a below average job. I was not very satisfied. KB will show you some Interior materials that are included But the lowest quality and tell you to upgrade for the most unrealistic prices. KB staff were not well prepared and didn’t have much knowledge, they just wanted some sales. The builders used lots of damaged materials to design house and rushed to finish with unskilled workmanship. I would not recommend.

We honestly nearly walked away from this house and probably would have had we not sold our previous home and was in a temporary apartment. Several of the neighbors we met during the building process have walked away. KB needs to do a better job of putting the customer first. The product and the field staff employees are great. Make the customer feel like their 300-500k is going to what they want not what they are allowed to have. A handful of small items could have had this a perfect 10/10 survey and us recommending KB to others including our employer relocation staff. Instead every time we asked for something a day or two later we were told no.

Overall, everything is new for me since this is my first time purchasing the house. However, every staff in KB Home works with me to resolve any concern and problem I have to make sure that I'm able to purchase the house at the reasonably fair price and provides the best customer care to ensure my new life in Portola Spring community will not be troubled. The sales team were all smiles, but issues with proceeding with the home purchase were poorly communicated. When the home was completed, multiple areas of the home needed addressing. It would behoove KB Homes to review that their sales personnel understand the content of the emails they send out, as well as be able to advise where to find the appropriate information. In terms of construction, a close inspection of detail as well as ensuring that appliance installation is done appropriately would mitigate many issues.

While I have critiqued the quality of the workmanship, this should in no way reflect on the performance of the KB team. Michael, Susan, Hugo, and Alberto are all incredibly good at their respective jobs. The subcontractors, with the exceptions noted above should be chosen more carefully. Perhaps, bringing in local subs would help. I am a project manager for a mid size residential contractor in the bay area and have been in the trades for 20 years. We are retirees who had been living/traveling full time in an RV for the past 5 yrs. When we decided to transition back into housing it was a hard decision because our budget is fixed & healthcare/insurance is a new $ surprise every year. First we looked at established homes, but with all of the mold, foundation, repair work we decided on construction. We've been through the remodel, fix up process & it was fun in our 30s. Not so much in the 60s. KB Homes first caught our attention with the energy efficiency. It has been a great decision for us. The process went smoothly & everyone at KB has made every step easier. Now we have a beautiful new landscaped home made to our specifications in a nice community & near the medical center and shopping convenience. We are thankful they helped us along every step of the way.

The Sales and Construction Staff at Legend Pond were fantastic. Our experience with KB's Lending department started off well, but we ended very poorly. Our credit was pulled without our consent towards the end of the process to verify our income. This was done by the processor after we had had a conversation to wait for a bit longer. This caused a myriad of other problems because an account that had been paid off had not recorded causing our credit scores to not come in at the needed score of over 740.

This was my first home-buying experience, and it was overall a great experience. Going to the KB Home Studio and being able to select all manner of options to really make the home mine was an absolute blast. Everyone I met from KB throughout the process was super friendly and helpful. My one complaint was the pushed closing/move-in date. But I absolutely love my new home!

The salespeople will follow up with you throughout the whole process of buying- but good luck hearing back from anyone else. I learned more about the construction of my house by driving to it than by anyone contacting me.

The experience I had with KB Homes was phenomenal. They help guide me through the home process and making sure I feel comfortable. The process of buying a home through KB was smooth and I highly recommend. They make great homes!
