Had a great experience with Independent Home. I couldn’t ask for better people. The team was nice, friendly, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I liked the looks of the bathtub that we got from them, although we can’t use it now because my hot water heater had given up.

I have an imbalance problem and I use a cane or a walker and sometimes a wheelchair. With the problems I have in my home, I thought this system is what I needed. This way I could do my own bathing and shampoo my own hair. I don't like to be waited on. I've always been the one that's there at the side. It's hard now to accept help. I visited a good friend of mine several years ago in a nursing home. They had something similar to Independent Home in her room and she encouraged me. She said it would be a good thing for me to get this in my own home. When I got back in my own home again after several years, I had the choice to have it done. I had no problems with the installers. They didn't bother me one bit. They were here and everything seemed like clockwork. I have used my tub a few times but have really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anybody that wants to be on their own as much as possible.

Independent Home did an excellent job. I went with the design that fit the bathroom I was designing and I was limited on space. I installed the tub myself. It was shipped to Georgia and we put it in. Everything's been great. Several of my neighbors have looked at it and might be buying one for themselves. I’ve already told them Independent is the people to deal with because they have a nice, quality product and I like the way it looks. I like the way it’s built. It’s been very pleasurable and I couldn’t have asked for a better company to deal with.

My Independent Home walk-in tub is good and we all enjoy it. Their dealer was excellent and the installation team was great. They cleaned up after themselves. I recommend them to my friends.

We are very satisfied and happy with our tub from Independent Home. This model works best for me, it fits our space and is comfortable. The guy who came to install it was wonderful, explained everything and cleaned up their mess after doing the job.

I love my Independent Home walk-in bathtub although my husband won't use it. The dealer and the installation team were both nice. I had to do a lot of calling but it all worked out. The tub is awfully small, though. Also, the pressure when I first turn on the hot water and the cold water to neutralize it is not much.

The model of the tub that I picked out from Independent Home was a larger type since I’m a large woman. Their dealer was very good and the installation team was fine. The only problem that we have is that they didn’t put any shower surround-type board up onto our wall and I don’t think our wall is going to hold up to the amount of water that the shower had put back onto the wall. I’ve been in contact with Independent Home twice now and I got the same gentleman both times. They keep telling me they’re going to get in touch with the contractor and put it in and this and that. But I hadn’t heard. So I contacted the contractor myself but they refused to come out and put up the 15-minute wall board because their office is four hours away from me. So I’m not too happy about that.

Independent Home's bath tub is wonderful. I love every feature of it. I'm old and I haven't been able to get in a bathtub for several years. It's nice to be able to do that again. The dealer was great too. I told him when he called that I couldn't afford it and he said, "Let's just come out and show you what we've got. It'll be all right." So I said okay and my niece was paying for it. It was a fantastic experience. I've recommended Independent Home to lots of friends.

We're highly delighted with our walk-in tub. I'm 84 years of age. My wife is 83. We're both getting to the age when it's a bit difficult to step into things, so we had thought for some time having been attracted by advertisements seen on television, to get a walk-in tub. The dealer was absolutely superb. The guy who came initially was a very nice chap. And then, when it was the day for installation, the two gentlemen that came to install took the whole day. It was from eight o'clock in the morning till eight o'clock at night for them to get it sorted out. They were very pleasant gentlemen. We had no bad experience with regard to the installation or the use of the tub following the installation.

The dealer I dealt with had such an attitude that I didn't care. But I like the guy who did the installation, which went very well. Overall, it was fantastic and I like the bubbles in the tub. Although, I haven't gotten a bill from Independent Home yet.

My bathroom is so small so I got a tub from Independent Home where the door was going to be left-handed. The dealer was wonderful and explained everything. I enjoyed talking to him. The installation team were very nice young men too. We joked around, and it was a fun time. Now, I'm enjoying the tub.

The tub seems to be okay. It's just the method on how it was installed wasn't what we were told it was going to be. The dealer was good. They came down and took pictures of our bathroom before the tub was even shipped. I was told that they're going to take the door frame out to get the tub in because we're getting a big one and we won't even know that they've been there. But when the installer came, he cut a hole in the wall and put it through. He had to mud it but he was only there for one day. Mudding a drywall is a three-day process. So after it was installed, we had other contractors working in our house finish the installer's job. They had to fix the drywall part of it and then repaint.

Independent Home sent a man here who showed me and talked to me about their products. He sat down with me and told me how the tub was going to be put in and how long would it take. He showed me showers, too, and I could’ve have put in one but what I wanted that time was to get underwater for a while. Although they're too expensive, the way he presented it to me made me buy the tub. Using the tub makes me feel good. I put salt water in it and it helps my legs. I've had multiple myeloma and the tub helps me. One thing I wasn't satisfied with is the little old piece of metal where the door shuts that aggravated me. It fell off into the tub the first time I used it but I glued it back there and it's now fixed.

After receiving several quotes for walk-in tubs, I found Independent Home provides the best quality for a great price. The walk-in tub was delivered to me with great care. The two installers that came were prompt and did a good job with the installation of my new tub. I would happily recommend them to friends and family.

My husband surprised me with a walk in hydrotherapy tub. Our last house had a backyard hot tub and we loved the hot soaking time and the massaging jets. Now I can have that pleasure whenever I want in the privacy of my bath. I love it and it feels great.

My experience working with the sales representative was great and I liked him very much. When they came and put it in, they were very professional and it didn’t take them very long. It was easy to purchase a tub from them, and we chose the tub with the features that we wanted. A very good salesperson came to our home, and the installation team were professional, courteous and able to answer my questions.

Had my tub installed and everything went according to plan. I wish the faucets would have matched my other faucets in the bathroom but nothing I could do. Only option was chrome or some other color. My home was built 40 years ago and the faucets have never been changed. The installers were great and very clean in my bathroom. I will recommend the tub and company to family and friends.

On Oct. 29, 2015 I spoke with the CEO of Independent Home Step-In Tubs about the purchase of a step-in tub. He was very nice and took the time to explain to me how they were able to build custom make tubs to meet the needs of the customer. I was pleased with what he told me and agreed to meet with the local sales rep the next day to discuss our needs.

My mom needed a tub so we bought one from Independent Home. We got the one without the jets. The installers were fantastic and did a great job. If I have any problems, I’ll give them a call and they are right here to fix it. Overall, it was a good experience.

We were going to redo the bathroom and advertising call came and said that they had someone in the area that could come by. I talked to my husband who said to let them come by. They did and we liked it so we went with Independent Home and purchased a shower tub where one can sit down. The purchasing experience was real nice, pleasant and informative.

The Independent Home salesman was very personable and knowledgeable. The purchasing process went well. The installation team were very good, appeared knowledgeable, kept us informed and did the work in a day. It was a very easy and pleasant experience.

The initial tub that Independent Home put in wasn't big enough and didn't fit me, and on top of that, the work that they did was terrible. They tore up my house. They didn't put it back the way it was. They didn’t paint it and it was awful. Then they brought another tub and only one guy was installing it. His buddy was sick so the guy had to come do it all by himself. He was upset and was in a big hurry that he didn't do a good job. The tub squeaks because he didn't level it right. The big screws that tighten it up to the floor weren’t done right either. He put a crack in the wall and covered only part of it. So we're not happy at all. It was disappointing especially on how much we paid for it. I would not recommend them for a friend.

So far, I’ve only used the tub once. I’ve been very busy and haven't had the time to really enjoy it. I got the deluxe model bathtub from Independent Home. I considered another brand, which is the one that advertises all the time, and I talked with their guy and got the pricing. I then decided that what Independent Home is doing would be good for me and it's half the price. I did the purchasing over the phone and had no problem with it. I called a few times to see how things were going, and it moved along pretty well. Then I got a hold of the installer and talked with him over the phone a time or two. I was in Minnesota while the tub was being installed, and I had somebody watch my place. She said the installation team did very well and she was pleased with how they reacted. It was done in a very timely way. I was pleased that it worked out as well as it did considering the fact that I was not even around when it was installed.

We pbought a simple model walk-in bathtub from Independent Home and the buying process was fine. The installation team was nice and they're courteous and able to answer questions. The whole experience was pretty easy and even though it took a little longer than expected, they were quick.

When we purchased a tub from Independent Home, the teller that I talked to was very nice and answered all my questions. Then we got it in plenty of time and everything was there. We installed it ourselves and we're using it. However, we had to redo the whole bathroom and put marble on the walls. We got it solved and now it looks beautiful.

I'm very satisfied with my experience with Independent Home. I had a salesman come over and he presented the Life Tub case well. I ended up talking to one of their representatives at home and with the first day I decided to go ahead with them. The installation team did a wonderful job. I knew that they would have a problem finding an outlet to connect this tub up, because there was no outlet on that side of the wall and on the outside wall of the house. But they were able to locate an outlet on the inside of my wall in my bedroom and it came out better than I thought. They cleaned up everything and got matching tiles to put on the floor, which we're gonna go ahead and replace the whole flooring with. The installation of my toilet went well. I am very satisfied with the work that they did.

I got an acrylic bathtub from Independent Home. I’m unsure of the exact model name, but it has a radio, lights, air and water jets, as well as a speed drain. We had a bit of an issue, though, with the control panel from a Canadian company that sent the wrong one. It took them five weeks to send the correct one, and then it took time to get it to California so that it could be brought to Nevada for installation. There was a bit of a delay, and my bathroom was already demoed, so we were without a bathroom for quite a while. The man who was sent to do the installation was very good and very nice. The bathroom was cleaned up afterwards, and he did exactly what we paid for. I like the tub. I’m happy with it.

Getting an Independent Home Walk-in Bathtub was an easy move. I enjoyed talking with the sales rep. He was very nice. We liked the people that put in the tub. They were very nice when they came. They did everything very professionally. They were in and out sooner than we thought they were going to be (they came at eight o'clock and they were gone before one o'clock). We love our tub. It's nice to know that even though I couldn't get a shower through Independent, the young gentleman installer was a remodeler with a license so I could get him to come and do it.

Our old tub had a hole in the bottom of it and that was the big reason we got another one. We purchased the Independent Home walk-in bathtub model that opens up to the front. The model determined the price, but we knew what we wanted when we started so we went ahead. Their guys then tore our old tub. Overall, we still have a few wood trimmings that need to be finished in terms of installation, so I'm not really completely satisfied. But the tub itself is nice.

The Independent Home Walk-in bathtub that I got for my mom was good. She used it a couple of times although she didn't end up getting the model she wanted, one with a curved door and had more design to it. Instead, she got the latest model of the tub. But everything went smoothly. Their salesman explained everything and their installers were professionals and did their job in a timely manner.

The sales rep from Independent Home who came out was the nicest and most pleasant fella. He was very positive, not pushy and talked us through the whole thing. We already heard several spiels from different people and we really liked what he had to say. Both my wife and I said, "I can work with this guy" and we were very pleased with him.

Purchasing Independent Home's walk-in tub was easy. The installation team did a great job explaining everything and installing it. They did everything they said they would do in the time they said they would. However, we're not happy with the tub because we don't have the water pressure and it takes too long to fill it.

I chose Independent Home over another specialty tub manufacturer because their price was better. I got the Deluxe model and purchasing it was pretty easy. We gave an approximately 50% deposit and paid the rest off when the gentleman installed the tub. In addition, the installation team answered all our questions, gave us an orientation and did a good job. However, the problem we're having with the tub is that the air jets don't work properly. They shut off after about four minutes when they should stay on for the entire tub. They sent a part out then they had somebody come and switch that part out. After they switched that part out, the problem was continuing exactly the same, and so we're in communication with the company to see how and what they're going to do to fix the problem. So, we're hoping that they're going take care of it.

Purchasing a walk-in bathtub from Independent Home was easy. I've been watching the ads and I called one of them, but it was way too expensive. However one of their guys came by and he explained to me why one tub didn't cost as much as the others. It's all made in America and that was one good selling point. I got a walk-in bathtub from them - not the cheapest one, but the next one up.

A lady friend gave me the name of Independent Home, the ad and the phone number of who to order it from. At the time they decided to deliver the tub, it was difficult with me because I had fallen and broken my arm. I got one arm that’s in a cast up to my shoulder and not able to use the tub even though it's there. I use it to get stronger, but I can't use the jets. They also had to tear up my door and put a new one. I don't have it taken care of yet. The ceiling in the bathroom was not done right as well. When they put the sides in, they damaged the ceiling. They said they had a lot of problems because my house is old. The installers were here an awfully long day until late into the night. They left around 10:00 and that's late for an old lady. I also haven't received the pillow I was supposed to get for the tub. I thought it would come when the tub was delivered.

A salesman from Independent Home came and showed me one of their product models and asked how I happened to know about it. I've wanted one for a long time. It was easy purchasing their tub, although I had to rake up together all the money I could to get it. I ended up paying $5,000 and owing $5,000. Everything went fine with the installation. However, I slipped into the plug-in the first day and hurt my toe, so I've been looking for a small mat to put in that. Other than that, it's going very well. Additionally, I put some Cascade dishwashing soap in it this morning and ran it for 15 minutes and then let it rinse for 15 minutes. That went well so it's okay. Overall, it's looking out well. I would recommend Independent Home to a friend. I was talking to one this morning and she perked up like she might be interested.

Purchasing the Walk In Bath Tub from Independent Home was easy because I knew I wanted it. We were settling on the price and the rep told me what I wanted and that was it. However, when they took out my old tub, it left a bare wall and they left it open. They totally finished off the tub very nice, but I think it's colder having that wall exposed like that. When I looked inside at the controls I could see that bare wall exposed. Their installation team very nice and courteous, but they didn't tell me about that exposed wall. I would have put something up to cover that wall so it wouldn't be so open.

A real nice guy from Independent Home came out, described everything to us, and we decided to purchase the tub. Then, the installers who came were professional. They talked to us while they're working and showed what they're doing. We had an enjoyable day while they're putting in the tub. Overall, we had a good experience with the people who came out and done it.

My wife and daughter said I needed to use a walk-in tub. The person who presented the tub was straightforward, gave us a price, which the others would not do, and it was very reasonable. I had three people tell me about their walk-in tubs and he was the only one that would come right out and tell me, "This is what it'll cost." And the price was way below theirs when I finally found out. There was one problem when we purchased the tub. They had thought they could get it installed about a week before they did. The installer was one person and he was very cooperative, professional, did a good job and cleaned up well after himself. We got along just fine. They told me exactly what I saw as the truth, didn't exaggerate and didn't talk over my head. I appreciated that.

I had a great experience with Independent Home, but we're still working on the tub because they need to put a booster and they said they had someone order it. The tub is filled up with enough hot water and I've already changed the hot water heater. I haven't even used the jets yet. I've been out of the country for about two weeks and I called them and they said they will try to get the boosters to me. But everybody I worked with were wonderful.

I was having problems with my very small bathroom. I had a shower with no doors and a toilet six inches away from it without safety bars. Had I fallen in the bathroom, I could've broken my back and couldn't have done anything. It was a very unsafe situation. My daughter was here when I almost fell and she said it's time to take action.

We bought the deluxe model. The installers did a good job and were in and out in no time. The whole experience was definitely nice.

The installer was a good hand, but I'm not very satisfied with Independent Home's walk-in tub. I'm disappointed in several things. It takes too long to fill the tub. The faucets are cheap. They're too sensitive to adjust. A little movement changes the temperature a lot in the faucets. They hooked up a smaller connection to my plumbing than what I previously had in the bathtub, so that reduces the flow. You get cold before the tub fills.

My mom is 92 and I realized I needed a walk-in tub for her. The review about Independent Home was good which made me choose them as one of the three companies to call. I spoke with the owner himself. He was very nice and got me in touch with a saleslady. Before the saleslady came, I had two other appointments with other companies. Then the saleslady from Independent Home came and I find her to be friendly, down to earth, ready to answer any questions and very available. She was very helpful especially on how she gave all the information and answered all of the concerns that I had.

Our experience with Independent Home is what we expected, so much so that we'd be interested in doing some more work with them. There was a very pleasant salesman who came here twice and was very expansive, and we liked what he said and showed us. The man who was in charge of the installation mentioned to my daughter that the company had the ability to put in a walk-in shower in a separate bathroom. We've called a local company and asked about information concerning that, but it seems we'll be able to look into that with Independent Home.

The purchasing process of our Independent Home walk-in tub was easy. I got it for me and my 90-year old husband because we couldn't step into the tub and he wouldn't get in the shower either since he fell twice already. Their installation people were also nice and polite but they forgot to tell me that we need a big water heater. I feel that they should mention this stuff.

We got a Celebrity bathtub as that was the only one that would fit. I had no problem purchasing it and the experience wasn’t too bad. The people who came over to install it were knowledgeable and courteous. They came and did what they had to do and everything went alright. They were around for about 12 hours that day. They left a bit of mess but I had somebody clean it, anyway. They also had to cut a section of the wall out to get the tub in. I’m just waiting for them to come over and take care of something, but other than that, I don’t have any problem with it.

The model of walk-in bathtub we got from Independent Home is nice because it got the jets in it. When purchasing the tub, it took quite a bit for them to get in financed. The finance company wanted too much information, but they finally got it straightened out. But the installation team went about their business and did what they were supposed to do. They didn't do much talking but they weren't rude and they showed us how to work the tub. My son loves it. He's a truck driver. When he's home, he takes two or three baths. And I like it too. Whenever I get in, I turn the jets on. It helps my back and my right hip. It quits hurting and it lasts for a few days. If I could just keep the water hot enough, it would be terrific. We've only got a 30-gallon water heater -- not big enough, and it gets cold before I get the tub filled. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I'd recommend it to anybody who could use one that can't get in and out of a bathtub.

When the lady from Independent Home called, she was all right. I told her we had been thinking about getting a walk-in tub and she said they were a small company and they were independent. She asked if would we like for them to stop by but I told her I didn't know them. She called back and told me they were going this way and asked if would we mind if they stopped by. We said we didn’t have time for that. She checked again. I said, “Give me time to ask my husband” because I wouldn’t do it without him knowing. We told her they can stop by and we’ll listen to what they have to say.

I was looking for a walk-in tub for my mother. I had a polite and honest dealer when I was purchasing the Independent Home tub. He's a good salesman. He talked with me and didn't push a sale. I am satisfied with their people but not with the tub. I have a 40-gallon tank and still have to add five gallons of boiling water to the tub to fill it up. The tub was insufficient.

Unbeknownst to me, my husband set up an appointment with Independent Home. When we purchased a walk-in tub from the dealer, he was good - very knowledgeable. I was not convinced, but he convinced me. The process was very easy and everything, including the financing, was explained extremely well. The ones who came for the installation were also very polite, helpful, neat and on time. They worked straight through and didn't mess around. The only thing is I wasn't expecting it to be so loud when I turn the motor on. But other than that, we love our walk-in bathtub and enjoy it. We liked the bathtub from Independent Home because we need something different than to step over the tub. We had a Roman bathtub and it was dangerous. Plus, we're getting older and got diabetes and don't walk too good so we want to get something we could get in and out of easily. When the salesman came out and talked to us, he was very thorough about it. He had the brochures for us to look at. We liked the tub and got it for a fairly good price. The two guys worked all day and did a fantastic job installing the tub. They got here about 8:30 in the morning and didn't leave until after 7:00. We love it and were glad we got it.

I called Cameron, the tech guy and he took care of the purchase right off the bat. The installation team came in at eight o'clock and was out by 1:30. I've seen Walk-In Bathtubs through magazines. Independent Home was the first one to come to my house to show me about it. I went with the Life Tub exclusively by Safe Life because it looks good. The gentleman was very nice and showed me all the pros and cons on it. I have arthritis in both knees. It was getting very difficult to get in and out of my tub and I figured one of the these days I'm going to fall so it looked like a good time to get one.

The salesman was awesome. I wasn't going to try it at first but then they came back with a price that I could actually afford. He's very personable and very easy to talk to, answered all my questions. When I told him that he was the first one I looked at, so I wanted to look at others he said, "No problem. We'll keep this price the way it is. Just give us a call." He didn't pressure me, and I really liked that. I actually saw a tub that I liked better but I couldn't stand the salesman. The salesman was pushy and is rude. Everything about Independent Home is awesome. It was a nice experience.

I love my Independent Home walk-in tub. I went with the most expensive model because it had the most features, and also by that time, they were very helpful about bringing the price down so it’s cheaper than the less expensive one. Also, the installation team that came to my home were great and fast, I couldn’t believe it. They came on time at eight o’clock and were done by 1:30. The old one was out and the new one was in. They explained to me how everything works so I was pleased with them.

Independent Home was very good with the service. We were happy with the way they installed our walk-in bathtub but I think they gave me a cheaper tub than what I asked for. I'm supposed to have three feet on the bubbles and it's only two feet. Also, I'm supposed to have a heated tub and all it is is a cushion. It's not heated and the water splatters all over the place. I have to put a towel on the top so water doesn’t get up there, and a rug on the bottom to soak up the water.

I first heard about Independent Home’s walk-in bathtubs when they called us on the phone. I was really excited about it. But then after they got it all in, I found that it wasn’t exactly the answer to my shower trouble. I like to take my showers and I didn’t realize that by getting this tub, I was going to be limited to my showers because you get the shower head from the tub. You put it up on the wall and the water just comes straight down where all the faucets are, but it was going down on the floor. So I called them up and they sent me an extension. We had to put it up on the wall and push it out, which has helped.

I have a walk-in tub through Independent Home. The dealer was pleasant. He came to the house and we had a nice chat. The installation team was very good. There's just one time when they were going to get me some scent to put in the units but I have not received that. It might be my fault as I didn't get back to him but he said he was going to come out to get it on the office.

I love my Independent Home tub. I put bubble bath in it and it was the first time in over nine years that I have been able to have a bubble bath, and it was nice. I've only got to use it once because it turned out that I had a hot water tank that was leaking real bad, so I had to take care of that and that's a big chunk of money. We don't want to have to buy one now. The two guys from the installation team that put it in were real nice. I like the fact that they were always very polite and very nice.

I love my walk in bathtub from Independent Home. I was interested because the price was okay. Purchasing the tub was pleasant and the installation team who came out was terrific. They were very kind, they put a cloth runner throughout the house where they walked and then they removed it after and the floor was clean. The only thing I'm unhappy about is the shower. I was made to believe I could take a shower with it, but when I take a shower, the other water doesn't shut off, so there is water everywhere. But other than that, I'd recommend them.

On behalf of future customers, I must report that I believe there are several factors to consider before purchasing a walk-in tub. First, you need a 50-gallon hot water tank to be able to fill the tub and not be sitting in tepid water. My 40-gallon tank was not able to meet the needs. Second, check your home's water pressure, especially if you use well water. Without proper water pressure, it takes over 30 minutes to fill the tub and that is unacceptable for anybody to sit there waiting to be able to finally turn on the hydrotherapy vents.

I got the tub from Independent Home because it was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the others and it was easy purchasing it. I felt that it would fit in the space well, but they came and measured. The installation team was terrific and finished the job in less than a day so I would recommend them to friend.

Buying the bathtub from Independent Home was easy. The sales representative was very nice. We're still waiting to be able to use it. Our room is not plumbed and we're supposed to have a plumber come out today but he didn't show up. The tub looks great. It's very welcoming. We have to go in and take a look at it every once in a while. The installation team was quiet but very nice. They worked on their own. I'm handicapped, I don't get around too good so it was difficult for me to go out and visually inspect anything

My dad was ready to come home from a nursing home where he was paying full price because the insurance cut him off. So I was fine with Independent Home coming up and doing the bathtub on Monday. But they forgot to bring the casing that it's set in and told me I had to wait until Saturday to get it. That was five more days we had to pay for to keep my dad in a nursing home and at $280 a day, that came out to be a nice little chunk of change. He was telling me he was coming from Philadelphia and I don't understand how you can forget half of the stuff if you're coming that far to do it. That upset me very much but there's nothing I could do because he already had the old tub to our house so I was stuck with the situation.

Purchasing the walk-in bathtub from Independent Home was easy. But I've used the shower in it and I'm getting some water drainage down there from the little doors where all the connections are. And the guy who installed the tub didn't remove everything that was down below and on the front side, and he scraped out the screw on one of the sides where the curtains are attached against the wall. I also asked him to remove the little 2x6 piece I put in the corner shower because it would've been a sore. He finally got it out, but I don't think he was too pleased and what he did to it didn't look finished.

Also, their installation team were very professional and had to work their tails off as they had a very hard job getting it into our bathroom and they never took a break. I was very impressed.

I had a complete knee replacement and I was in the hospital in rehab. When I came home, Independent Home called me then we got the tub. It was okay but I would rather just have a plain tub but I couldn't get out of one. Independent Home's tub is an expensive tub for no more than we're gonna use it and if I had it to do over, I'd probably wouldn't buy it. My husband's on oxygen and it didn't seem to help him that much. Other than that, we still like the tub.

We got a price on a walk-in bathtub and their price was ridiculous so we went online and found Independent Home. The sales rep named Frank was very nice, friendly and talkative. He gave us the best price on the Celebrity series that we picked which has everything we wanted, the jets, and the hose that we could use. The two guys who installed it were hard workers. Our experience was good but I'm disappointed that we had to put out almost $1,500 to get a new water heater and we haven't used the tub since having it installed 3 weeks ago because of that. We were never told that we would need a new hot water heater. The tub and the tiles look good but everything else doesn't. I don't like the finish of the wall they put up, the floor is creaking a lot, and they must have spilled something on it because the color doesn't match..

It was a good experience with Independent Home. We went with the high-end walk-in tub because my mother-in-law wanted the nicest one. Purchasing the tub from the dealer was an easy process but they didn't discuss the electrical (like getting a separate breaker at the side of the house) with us. Because it's a very odd-shaped house with a U-shaped roof, it required us to spend another $700 on electrical work on top of what we spent in the regular installation which was understandable. That's why the installation took longer. But other than that they were great. The guys were immaculate and top-notch.

When Independent Home did my walk-in bathtub, they had damaged the sheetrock bond where they put the hand bar that was there and it was coming under it. It's not that bad, but they didn't say anything. And where they installed the sheetrock, it was dusty and my maid cleaned it up for me. I have trouble standing and I'm weak but it's okay. They were doing their best and they were nice and friendly.

I was amazed at the price of the tub but I have reached the age where I felt I had to have a walk-in tub so I swallowed the price. Installation went beautifully. It was done within a week after I had signed up so it was a very prompt service.

We just had an issue when we had to call them back because there were a couple of unexpected things that occurred once we got the tub and were trying to get the plumbers to hook it up. Independent Home offered their product to me much cheaper. The men that put it in were very nice and were careful with everything. They found out that some of the floors underneath the tub were rotting and I had to put in another flooring. I was pleased that they did. Otherwise, I’d have to replace the tub in another year. The salesman also was extremely nice. He came by when they finished to see if there was any problems.

Love our tub. It makes bathing a pleasure. I have the shower I love, while remaining seated, which I need. Husband has the tub he can soak in. It drains in 90 secs or less (I timed it). Small problem with leaking, but remedy was offered by asking.

Joel and Wade installed my walk-in tub. I would highly recommend them. They did an excellent job even though we had a few snags. The bathroom it was installed in is rather small. They worked continuously all day long and cleaned up all of the debris from the cast iron tub. Joel kept me informed all day long as to what they were doing. He also took down pictures in the other room so they would not fall with the pounding on the wall. The Independent Home walk-in tub is worth every penny. I can't wait for my daughter to come and try it. She will definitely be surprised.

The tub is great -- works fine and it's perfect. I've done a shower and a bath in it and I'm very happy with it. The people from Independent Home were supposed to be here today to install the tub but that hasn't happened yet. I've had it for about three weeks now - it's a little slow in terms of installation. I'm a little disappointed that it's taken as long as it has but I had a feeling that it would take a while.

However, the place I'm living was not really happy about putting one in on the third floor but they finally agreed as I long as I took care of the insurance. I called up Independent Home office and I asked some questions. They sent out a rep who did a measurement and we discussed which one I should choose. I finally decided to upgrade it (my instigation, not theirs). We got a price and I gave them a deposit. Their installation team came in around 8:00 and they had to reverse the plumbing. It was in an area that was tight to take out a bathtub and then put this new one in. They were finished at 1:15 - five hours, which was fine. The only thing I had afterward was they had gotten a circuit breaker inside the unit that I didn't know was in there. They're secretive but still, I understand it as I tinker around.

Independent Homes had good reviews so we got the Acrylic Deluxe model from them. We were talking to a salesperson and I think the guide was good, he was really helpful. I though it was appealing that this tub would spill and empty fairly rapidly. We had our own contractor install the tub since we remodeled the bathroom around the new tub.

We went to their showroom and tried out all the different models and chose the one that we were most comfortable with. It was a pretty easy process. The installation team did a fantastic job - very careful, consulted us about every part of it and laid it out perfectly and very meticulously.

Independent Home had the best score when I checked online so I contacted them and went with them. I had a very good experience with the salesman and the installer was top notch. He did a wonderful job. When he installed my tub, he had to cut a part of the wall out in order to get the tub I wanted in, and change the baseboard heating. There were so many things to be done and everything just turned out perfect. I'm very happy.

I purchased a walk-in bathtub from Independent Home due to their acceptable price and they offered approximately what I really wanted. We got the celebrity series and the area that I had fit in there perfectly. It also had the cannon water jet option. When I bought it, they came by, checked out and measured everything. They told me exactly what it would cost so I had a good experience. Their installation team also showed me how it worked after they finished up and I had no problem with it.

They did a good job but I wouldn't give Independent Home 100% because I had a bad experience with the first crew that brought my tub. They ran off and left me high and dry without saying anything. They left here to go get something to eat, then go to the store and get some parts and they never showed back up. They wouldn't answer phone calls or anything. Then the outlet in Newark sent somebody else over about two weeks later because they already had work lined up ahead of them.

I chose Independent Home because the price and the product were very comparable to the prices I came up at. However, I'm a little bit concerned because I was told that my forty-gallon water heater would be enough and it wasn't. I'm quite disappointed that there wasn't honesty about that. That's one thing that Independent Home should be more open about. I had to pay another $900 to have a plumber put in an extra forty-gallon tank. I ordered a 50-gallon tank and I'm glad that the plumbers were honest and said, "You know this is only gonna give you about six gallons more." I said, "Well, what should I do?" It turned out that it was only with an extra 40-gallon cause I already had a 40-gallon down there and was gonna replace it with a 50. Forty-gallon was only about four or five years old. They said, "Just add another one." To make a long story short, it cost $300 less to have them do that than to have a 50 gallon-put in there and replace the other 40-gallon.

Both men were very considerate, friendly, and willing to answer my questions. You are lucky to have them working for you. I only wish it didn't take so long to do the entire job.
