We purchased a new Husqvarna YTH21K46 riding mower from Lowe’s located in New Hartford NY store a few years back. While I was mowing our lawn yesterday (7/16/17) I noticed flames shooting out the front cowl. This appeared to be a fuel line that may have became defective and failed. The mower is complete loss and we are now looking for a new mower within only a few years of purchasing this one. Local law enforcement and fire department were called to extinguish the blaze since the fuel tank was nearly full. We have had nothing but problems with this mower since we purchased it, the engine mounts were never tightened from the factory and I had to install new ones. The welds on the mower deck broke and had to be re-welded. The exhaust manifold kept coming loose, the list goes on and on.

This is very disappointing and somewhat disturbing knowing this fire could have caused serious injury. We won’t be purchasing another mower from Husqvarna due to the quality of the product. I have reached out to Husqvarna about this issue and they did take an incident report and said they would be calling me back. I will update again once they respond or if they respond.

POS. First can't reverse without shutting off mower (Husqvarna 46" Rider w/ lg bags) or unengaging blade which causes unneeded stress on drive belt being engaged off and on (a lot!). Lever to engage/unengaged slams your right knee cap! OW! Safety??? Bagging SUX! Bought large bags. They are terrific. Problem is the mower clogs constantly. Wet or Dry = clog. Short or tall = clog. Small twig = clog. I spend more time with this crappy mower then I ever did with my old Sears on the Fender shifter. Takes me an EXTRA HOUR to mow my 1 acre. Tires? SUCK! Small uphill grade and the tires just spin. DO NOT BUY this mower unless you like frustration and have a great deal of time you don't need.

Purchased a new Husqvarna Riding Lawn Mower. M# YT48XLS. Had it for 3 months. First day I used it the left front wheel just rolled off of the axle. No biggie, I replaced it and went on. The mower would not charge the battery. I had to fully charge the battery about every 2 weeks. Took it back to the dealer where it was repaired. I was told that an alternator and a regulator was replaced under warranty. Also since day one the deck which I feel is poorly designed would get clogged.

The blades would not discharge the clippings. I had to buy a mower lift so that I could clean under the deck after about 1 hour of mowing. Also when deck begins to clog the center blade will leave uncut grass in the middle of the row of cut grass. Bottom line I have to clean under the deck with a pressure washer about every 1 - 2 hours of use. TERRIBLE DESIGN!!! By the way the dealer Habersham Hardware has been very helpful. They are trying.

I bought this blower from Lane's Outdoor Equipment in Chipley FL on 8 May 2017 because Husqvarna had a $40 rebate with the blower. I completed the forms before the rebate expired and emailed to them. After waiting almost two months for the rebate I called the rebate center and was told that they have no record of my paperwork. I sent the claim form and the sales receipt but they don't have them. Now that the promotion has ended they are sorry (really sorry) but they can't honor their agreement even if I re-submit the required paperwork. I have several other Husqvarna products but this will be my last one. They suck!

I bought this mower to replace a 25 year old John Deere. After a while one gets tired of working on them before using them. I purchased it at Lowe's in April, In May the belt came off so I called Lowe's and they told me to bring it in. I did and after three weeks I picked it up. Right away the belt came off again. This time I called Husqvarna and they told me to take it to a dealer, I did. Two weeks later the mower is back home, I have finally been able to cut the entire lawn, but guess what? The belt came off AGAIN! Husqvarna used to make really quality equipment, I have a 20 year old chainsaw that has never given me any problem. If I had known this was the way they treat their customers I would have bought another John Deere. Now I have to take it back to the dealer and hope they get it right this time.

Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chainsaw - The chainsaw is well built and reliable until it begins to leak bar oil. Husqvarna knows that this problem is very widely reported by most model 455 owners. The part fails after about 40 to 60 hours of use. The fix is replacing the oil feed hose with a new style (correctly manufactured) hose (part 158551400(1)). The part costs $2.95. The labor costs $53.00. The repair is covered by the 2-year warranty or the pay extra extended warranty.

Husqvarna notified its dealers about this manufacturing defect, shhhh, but did not notify registered chainsaw owners. Husqvarna will not do the right thing and issue a general and advertised recall. Memo to Husqvarna--do you see all (hundreds) of 1-star ratings on this website? It is a prescription for laying off many of your workers. Your quality and customer service ratings have plummeted lower than even Black and Decker. Do the right thing, issue a recall and free repair when it is Husqvarna's fault.

I had a similar situation to some of those I'm reading here. Bought a Husqvarna riding mower at Lowe's with an extended 3 year warranty. Worked fine for two seasons, this year all of a sudden a loud clunk noise and the mower started smoking. We shut it down immediately and called for service. The repair facility fixed it and sent it to Husqvarna and they denied the claim, saying we had to have run over something or hit an object in the yard and it wasn't covered. We didn't hit anything and there is NO damage to the blades, but apparently that doesn't matter. Wish I would have seen this site sooner and would have never bought the mower. Will never own another Husqvarna product again, and I'm not real happy with Lowe's at this point either who got an additional $200 for a warranty that seems will never be honored. Would have given zero stars if I could have.

Riding mower serial #031915A056372 - Bought riding mower from Lowe's. Husqvarna mower was recommended by salesman. The mower was purchased on 5/2015. It worked beautifully for 2 seasons. However on June 4 2017, my son cut the front half of the yard with no issues. When he got to the last half of the yard, the mower started making a horrible sound. My son disengaged the deck and jumped off of the mower, thinking that it was going to explode. After waiting several minutes, we tried to start it up again. It started right up but had an even worse grinding noise, complete with a horrible vibration. He immediately turned it off and we had to push the mower up the hill to the garage.

I called Lowe's warranty number and after 2 days the local repair shop picked it up. Today they call me and say that the deck is completely busted loose along with the PTO clutch. Numerous other pieces and parts missing (there were no pieces found in my yard) and that the mower was "abused or used commercially and is therefore not covered under warranty". The mower has always been garaged kept, fluids check and changed regularly. I told the repair shop that there is nothing in the almost 2 acres that could have ripped off the deck and clutch. No damage could be seen anywhere on the mower, no scratches or dents, just the deck and clutch hanging. Right now, nothing is covered under warranty. I'm responsible for repairs. $2000.00 thrown out the window. There is no way that I would pay for repairs on this thing. I'll put the money on a new, different mower.

After looking at reviews (greatest thing since sliced bread) I decided to purchase one of these (Husqvarna ST227P Snowblower), what a mistake. I have used the machine approx. 10x and have had it back to the dealership 7x. To date they have had to replace the carburetor -- machine would not keep running, replace the drive - would not go forward or backwards, belts broke second time I used it, gas lines split and leaked gas after the first season, plastic for the discharge chute controls snapped off and remember this is after only 10 uses. The dealership has had the machine more than I have. I attempted to exchange it for another machine and or have my money refunded but Husqvarna said no but they would extend the warranty for an additional 6 months and keep having it fixed until the warranty run out. In the meantime I have had to borrow a friend's machine, pay to have our driveway plowed and shovel.

The last time I took the machine in they had to replace the drive which took 2 months for the parts to arrive. Twice when I went to pick the machine up after being called because it was '' repaired'' I have had to leave it due to the machine breaking down when they were trying to load it on to my truck. I contacted Husqvarna who in turn contacted the dealership I purchased the machine from and were told that the gas lines leaked was due to me leaving ''old gas'' in it over the winter. Unbelievable.

All of my equipment is winterized and some are 15 plus years old and have never had the gas line changed, what a joke!! It appears that Husqvarna's quality has gone and I will not be purchasing any more of their products. I currently own 2 of their chainsaws, both over ten years old and never an issue but speaking to friends who have purchase new ones they have had nothing but issues. At this point I am rooting for the greenhouse effect and we never get snow again!!! What a waste of $1698.00.

Purchased new mower (46" riding mower) less than 2 months ago from Lowe's. I love many things about the mower mostly the pep getting up hills and the light weight that I can easily get unstuck from around my pond by myself but my love affair ends there. With the light weight comes the cheap quality of components. Mind you I replaced a John Deere mower that was about 10 years old and only had problems with battery. So far this mower has busted the housing that holds the deck and blade together. It is very poor quality, cheap metal that busted off at bolts. Talked to Lowe's and they said it would cost me to get the mower to a repair center and I would be without it some time while they repaired it. I couldn't afford to be without a mower so I replaced the part myself. Shortly after the bolts fell out and deck again failed, ordered new bolts and replaced.

Next is the belt keeps falling off and it won't go into reverse without fighting with cheap, plastic foot pedal that bends when you try to press it with your foot. It locks up in either forward or when you finally get it into reverse locks there as well. The quality of the parts used is the worst ever. Who would expect a flimsy piece of plastic to last very long as a foot pedal? So I am a single parent and this was a major investment for me, and now I am forced to be a mechanic because I can't afford to be without a mower. I wish in hindsight I would have gone with the JD but it was heavier and it was important that I be able to lift the mower out of the mud myself when I got stuck.

When I spoke with the manufacturer I was told this was not covered under warranty. I chalk it up to very poor workmanship on the part of the manufacturer. I cannot believe any reputable manufacturer would not back their product for 3 months use.

My Dad and I bought this YTH2454 mower new and used it for only a short time before problems started. The front axle is bogus. It starts to lean backwards and then the front wheels start facing out. We took it to a service center and Husqvarna told them it was an operator error? When this happens the wheels will fall off. I took it to a friend and we welded brackets to the frame so there is no way for it to lean back which fixed this problem. The hydrostatic transmission went out which I replaced. The deck hangers keep falling off.

I am in the process now of engineering a new deck hanging system instead of the brackets that slip into a hole. This hole keeps wearing out which in turn lets the bracket fall out and the deck drop on the ground. I have had the holes welded up and drilled out several times. The electric clutch for the blades went out. I have had to replace the steering column. My small engine repair man says the reason Husqvarna will not fix these problems, is that they are in the parts selling business. He said every one of these machines that comes into his shop has the same problems!!! I will never own another Husqvarna product and would advise everyone else to do the same!!!

It sucks to have to repair a brand new saw. Today I received my second HUSQVARNA saw a T435 14 inch. Filled it with gas and oil, tried it out and guess what. Right oil running out the bottom. Tore it down and again a big split in the oil supply line. Again we have to fix a brand new saw. Went to HUSQVARNA website to try to contact them and nowhere is there any way to email them. So I will wait til Monday to get a replacement part. I have attached a photo of the split hose. Very disappointed in HUSQVARNA quality control and lack of ability to contact them.

Husqvarna Zero Turn Mower 4 years old and garbage. I am currently working on this thing and have since the first day I bought it. Just like some of the vehicles on the road today, there should've been a recall on this thing. Hydraulics are terrible due to weight distribution, any small grade going downhill you better get ready to bail, it cannot hold its own weight. Broke the casting on the handle second time using it. Tension pull keeps bending and had to add reinforcements. As for the motor, Briggs and Stratton do not make em like they use to. Kills all the mosquitoes for sure. Bent the push rods. Three other people that I know went and bought the same mower. All four of these machines broke the muffler off. Had to replace the stator. Just all and all I should've bought a Grasshopper. This blower is a lemon. From the start it was in need of repairs. I used it the first winter which it worked somewhat okay. The power steering on the left side was a little hard to work. In September of that year I had Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh, Wisconsin come and pick it up to check it over. That is when the problem started. When they brought it back there was no high speed. Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh said there was nothing wrong with it and that was it was supposed to run that slow. I had them pick it up again because I knew that it was wrong. They replaced the power steering cable and a belt. When I got it back the second time the speed was still slow and now when you released the auger lever it still kept on running.

I then called Krueger Hardware in Neenah who picked it up from Neenah, who charged me a quarter of the pick up charge that Fasco did and Fasco is in Oshkosh. Krueger found that Fasco had put the auger belt on wrong and that it burnt the belt cover. Now this year on the first snow fall the high speed was gone again so I had Krueger's come and pick it up. They found that three of the seven bolts on the crank cover were loose and that caused a leak which dripped on the belts. They had to replace both of the belts. Fasco cause this too.

Now on January 26, 2017 I find that the power steering on the left side is bad again. It almost takes two hands to activate it. So this is going to cost me more money. I am seventy years old and can't afford all these bills. What gets me mad is that I had a Sears Craftsman blower for ten years and all I put in it was gas, oil and the skid plates once. If I keep this blower that long I would have paid for it in repairs ten over. This blower new cost me $2197.77. The serial number is 081811m000136. Is there something wrong with this blower?

We bought our Husqvarna snowblower on 1-27-14. We purchased it from Fleet Supply in Sauk Centre, MN. Our snowblower worked ok for the most part. It wasn't the quality we thought it would be. When our son was snowblowing 10 days ago he checked the oil and fluid was running out on the floor. We immediately took it to Fleet Supply in Sauk Centre, MN as we had bought it there and they are an authorized Husqvarna repair shop.

When we dropped our snowblower off on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Ralph said it would be done within 24 hours as he had to empty his shop each day. My husband said to take his time and do it right. Ralph quoted us $20.00. I wasn't ok with that as it should have been under warranty. I called on Thursday to see what was up. Ralph was very short with me and said he hadn't had time to get to it. On Saturday I called 3 times with no return call. Ralph finally called back and said he didn't want to call back as I was rude to the cashiers. Ralph isn't doing his job and it is suddenly my fault! Get a grip! He said he had to order a part. The repair was now going to be $70.00 to fix. He didn't plan on calling us to let us know that as he is just too busy. I simply wouldn't have paid it. It should have been warranty anyway.

When my husband picked up the snowblower on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 they blamed us for the issue. They said we didn't put stabilizer in the gas and it broke down. I think he said the carburetor was stuck. We always put stabilizer in our equipment. Then the buyer from Husqvarna was there. He got loud and mouthy with my husband. This should have been a warranty repair plain and simple. Mr. Husqvarna said it was up to him and he said it wouldn't be covered without testing anything. I would NEVER buy anything from Fleet Supply again and I would not buy a Husqvarna. It isn't our fault it had a faulty carburetor. The people at Fleet Supply were absolute JACK **! Todd the manager was an idiot and took no responsibility and Ralph had not idea what he was doing!

Purchase snow blower Husqvarna from business that deals with Husqvarna. Purchased snow blower in 2015. Never used it. No snow. This year went to use it and found that plastic frame that is closest to ground was bent in one spot causing paddles to hit bent spot and not allow paddles to turn. Warranty was still good. Called Husqvarna and the place I purchased it from and got the big run around. Who put plastic in a area that comes in contact with cement.

I checked out a lot of different zero turn mowers and ended up with a Husqvarna MZ 52LE. The dealer raved over the quality of construction and durability of this mower. What he didn't say was what a piece of crap this mower is with zero turning or traction. If you have any respect for your lawn as I do you will NEVER buy a Husqvarna. These mowers rip your lawn into shreds. Any time you try to turn around, the stationary tire locks and just rips a nice hole in your lawn (every time). And Lord forbid you get onto a hill and need to back up, the tires will literally just spin until you are really good and stuck, and you find yourself on many, many occasions having to get a tow strap and pull it out. My old mower (Grasshopper) never got stuck. Had I known what I know now I would never, EVER have purchased this mower!

The lady at Husqvarna told me the saw was not old enough for the parts catalog to display the brake cover that I need. She said they would do a study on it and get back to me. They told me if there was a problem with the mower to bring it back to them and they would fix it in about a week. Well in three weeks it didn't run anymore so I took it back. And was told I cannot bring it there and then I cannot return it, I have to take it to an authorized service center. Not what they told me when I bought it, but it sounds ok, right. Nope. Below is a copy of the text on Husqvarna's webpage.

"Why would a servicing dealer refuse to repair my equipment that I purchased elsewhere? Each of our dealers is an independently owned business and we cannot control their business decisions. We can only suggest that you call ahead, prior to bringing your unit in for repair, to make sure a dealer can and will assist you. If necessary, contact customer service for other authorized servicing dealer options in your area." All the service centers in my area will not honor the warranty. So I have to pay to have my 3 week old lawnmower repaired! I will never ever buy another Husqvarna!

Husqvarna 128LD overheats. Purchased a refurbished weed eater online from VMInnovations and it initially seemed ok until I actually tried to do a trim job with it. The unit overheats after about 10 to 15 minutes of use and dies, won't start again until it cools. Unit comes with a worthless warranty from the manufacturer. No "factory authorized dealer" will service a unit under warranty unless you bought it from them. Why would Husqvarna authorize someone unwilling to do the job? Calls to the manufacturer require 2 hours on the phone dancing around with them on one "please hold" after another only to be told that refurbished units only carry a 30-day warranty.

Tried explaining their "authorized" refurbished seller has a 90-day manufacturer warranty spelled out on their eBay to no avail. VMInnovations claims it is only warrantied by the manufacturer so I guess nobody warranties Husqvarna anything. An item being refurbished should be just that but it should be thoroughly checked to make sure it's ok. Buyer beware: unless you buy their products from a dealer and overpay for it don't expect warranty. Husqvarna is fully aware of this fact.

Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2014. It has a 3 year warranty. So far it has had a running problem which the dealer found to be a part missing on the carburetor. The dealer replaced the whole carb under warranty. The front drive wheel adjusters bent and both wheels were angled in at the top and out at the bottom. The dealer replaced both front adjusters under warranty but Husqvarna said they would not ever replace them under warranty again as they thought it must be from me abusing the mower, which is not true. The second summer the rear wheels center hubs wore out and both wheels and rear adjusters and some gears in the wheels were replaced by the dealers after a several week wait for parts. The blade adapter wore out so that the blade just spun around. I replaced the adapter and blade at my expense after waiting for parts to come.

The outside of the air filter, the filter, and the pre- filter fell off and were lost. I had to buy the new improved complete assembly at my expense because they no longer made the one that my mower came with. This part took about a week to get. The front wheel adjusters were straightened by the dealer but after 2 mowings they are bent again and will not hold adjustment. Last week the drive cable for the AWD broke and they are on back order of at least 15 days. I contacted Husqvarna the time before this breakdown and was on the phone an hour with them and on hold. They did nothing but ask me for model and serial numbers and name at each person I was connected to. After 1 hour of talking and waiting on hold they disconnected me.

Today I called again and was told they needed all the info again although they have had many records with my name on this mower. I did not have the info as the mower was in the shop so they would not begin to help me. I went to the shop and called them back with the info and after an hour they said they would review what has happened and call me back. Needless to say I purchased an expensive mower that I thought I would get great service from and that just has not happened. I have spent many weeks each summer without a mower that is usable. It does not matter that it is under warranty because it is their discretion whether the mower is being abused. The dealer has claimed several times that I am letting a fat woman ride on it or that I am jumping up and down on it or that my wife and kids are doing something to it. Nobody has used or probably ever touched the mower except me and the dealer.

At the moment I once again am without a mower while it sits in the shop for over 2 weeks minimum for a part that is back ordered. On a positive note, both the front and rear wheel adjusters have now on the newer models have been replaced by a different type. The air cleaner housing has been replaced on the new models by one that has an additional snap which may keep it from falling off. Meanwhile I wait weeks to get my sub standard mower repaired... again.

I purchased an all wheel drive Husqvarna mower from Lowe's and it was a good reliable lawn mower for about a year, after that I started having problems with the transmission. I ended up pushing more than it went forward on its own (it went very slow). The 3rd season (still under warranty) I brought it in for repair and the service center said it was used commercially and not used for residential cutting so they said it was abused. I had a Toro for 20 years and it was still running when I got rid of it. I live on a half-acre so there's a lot of grass but I don't own a lawn maintenance service and I do not let anybody else mow with my lawn mower.

I also don't know how you abuse a transmission, the outside of a lawnmower is just fine and so is the oil and it starts up just fine. I called Husqvarna to dispute it but they said they stand by the repair centers judgment since they can't see the lawn mower. They sent me a $50 gift certificate to go use at the service center. I never brought the lawn mower in for any repairs, this would be the only warranty issue and they still would not cover it. I do not recommend Husqvarna.

May 28th, 2016 I purchased the 54" Husqvarna riding mower from our local Lowe's Home Store. We were told that it was top of the line for quality and customer service. As we were in the process of buying it we asked several times about warranty and owner's manuals, the cashier ignored us. They finally went online and printed a copy, but gave us no warranty card or any of the tools for adjusted mower components or washing the deck. As we exited the store and walked to where they were loading the mower I watched them ram the grass guard against the side of the trailer and heard a crack.

The guys loading it told me, "No worries. Come back on Monday and we will give you a new one." When I got it home to unload it, I noticed that it did not look new. There were signs that it had been used before. So on the initial test run I pulled the knob upward to engage the mower deck and the engine almost choked out and the mower deck shook violently and then the entire body of the mower continued to vibrate as I started to mow. During this run I notice that the digital hour indicator read 7 hours, but the one that I thought I was buying only read 1.2 hours of use.

About 20 minutes into my mowing the transmission disengaged and the mower stopped dead in its track. This happened again about 10 minutes later. This forced me to shut down the mower, get off and reengage the transmission pin each time it happened. I finally shut the mower down so I could look the mower over better. I notice scratches on this mower that was not on the one I had purchased. I also looked underneath the mower's blade and deck and up toward the deck drive-belt pulley and noticed that the base of the center shaft appeared slightly bent and the mower deck did not appear to be attached properly.

So what I bought was a new mower, but loaded a refurbished one in its place. I loaded the mower back up and delivered directly back to Lowe's. I spent three hours trying to get my new mower and Lowe's staff gave me the biggest run-a-round ever. They tried to tell me that they could send it back to the dealer and have the mower repair, but I would be responsible for the cost of repairs. I flat refused to take anything other than a new one. Then a store rep took me out to show me one identical to mine, but he said was new. I was looking it over and there were signs everywhere indicating it was used.

The seat was torn, there was dirt and grass under the mower deck and again, documentation package was missing. I went back to Customer Service and demanded a refund on the spot and after a few minutes the store manager came over and completed the transaction and my $2500 plus dollars was refunded.

I blame Husqvarna 30% for the poor quality of their equipment, but Lowe's gets the most blame for their poor customer service and deceptive business practices. I have no intentions of ever buying from Lowe's again.

Apparently, pull pins are just a bad design. Mower has probably been used about 30 times, bought in 2015 for Kansas use, and have not had any problems. In fact, it has been great for all the reasons I did buy it! However, back to the "pins". A friend mowed for me last week, and apparently put more muscle into pulling the pin for adjustment (which they are a little sticky sometimes) and it broke off in his hand. Just sayin'... I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck.

Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

We used the machines two seasons and by March and October 2015 we had the problems: 4 flanges for front wheel had to be replaced after 2 seasons of use. (They were greased). 2 wheels on the deck were cracked and broken and had to be replaced. 3 of the latches on the grass collector broke and had to be replaced. The lettering for height indicator is totally erased.

Husqvarna Corporate refused to pay for replacement parts. These parts we considered defective and/or manufactured incorrectly. They did not examine the parts and just arbitrarily said it was due to "improper maintenance". We mow 4 acres, we keep parts greased and we keep the mower clean and in the garage. After the denial we purchased 4 flanges/ bearings for the front tire, wheels for the deck and new latches for the grass collector. Too many problems indicate an inferior machine.

That cotter key is so not doing it, does not hold the wheel in place. There is 1/4 to 1/2" slope that the wheel can move on the axle, no grease zerk. Also no grease zerks on the pulleys on mower deck. And he's just started.

I wrote a letter to the Customer Service Department in North Carolina and received a response from the Husqvarna Technical Department and their response was, "With your machine being out of warranty by more than a year, I will not be able to help you fully with the cost of repair. With that stated, I can alleviate the greatest cost of the repair from you by supplying you with the parts needed to get your machine operational once again. If you accept this offer I will ship them to you direct."

I responded back to them with the parts that were needed (approximately $235.00) that the repair shop gave me. Within less than one week, all parts were shipped to my home address and I delivered the mower and parts to them for repair. My only cost will be for labor which was quoted to me to be about $75.00.

Thank you, Husqvarna for standing by your product and for the help and assistance you gave me to rectify my problem. My faith and trust in your company has been restored and will surely pass on the word on how you stood by your product and kept me as a customer.

I purchased my 22" Rear Discharge Self-Propelled lawn mower, serial number 012011M001514, on April 1, 2011. The mower is also registered at the Husqvarna website. It has always been serviced at the end of every season and never missed any maintenance from that date. Last week, September 30, 2015, the Drive Control Assembly on the handle bar broke. I took it into Bourlier and Sons, Inc., in Clinton Township where I live for repair. Yesterday, October 6, 2015, I was informed that not only was the drive control assembly broken, but the transmission was no good, cables had to be replaced, wheel bearings need replacing for a total of $330.00.

I was also told that most of the damage came from cleaning the under drive cover through the water washout feature as described on page 17 of the owner's manual. The manual states to let it run for 1 minute to remove excess water. I let it run for 3-4 minutes just to make sure there is no excess water left in the mower. I have done everything as the owner's manual states and now all I can use this mower for is a boat anchor. I took this to another repair shop in my area and was told the same thing. If this maintenance problem is because of using the washout feature, why have it?

This mower should have lasted many more years by the way I maintain maintenance on it. I called customer service today at Husqvarna and the lady on the other end could have cared less about my problem. I have heard such good things about a Husqvarna mower as this is why I purchased one. Now that this has happened this will be my one and only purchase of any Husqvarna product. It is no wonder that consumer confidence is down within our country and all this mower has been is a throw away product. No consumer confidence for this company anymore.

I purchased a new O turn at the beginning of the season. The very first time I mowed it bent a push rod. Didn't even get my yard mowed all the way. Mower had 4 hours on it and when it was delivered it had over 2. The dealership I purchased from wanted to charge me for pick up so I called a different one and thankfully they were great and didn't charge that. Still though. EVERY TIME I mow, the belt comes off as soon as I turn the blades on. I oil the blades every time before I mow. I baby the mower.

I had had this dealership come get it 3 times now. They put a new belt on it, they adjusted the blades, nothing has helped. It started sneaking while in motion at about 10 hours. Only one of the headlights work. I could go on and on. IT is a Lemon. I have called Husqvarna. They just tell me to call the dealer. What happens when my warranty is up? My brother has had the same mower for 4 years, just an older version, never one issue. This is just ridiculous. If I wanted these problems I could have bought old used mower. That's what I feel like I have. I have not mowed the yard one time without a problem.

I went to Lowe's where I purchased it and they do not cover outdoor power equipment if it has been used. They said the manufacturer's warranty was good for three months. They sent it to what they I understood to be Husqvarna but it was a repair vendor for them in conjunction with Lowe's.

They called and said it was an internal part some type of "coolant air conductor" which was broken and would not be covered. They also said the carb was dirty. I questioned the warranty and even though it was an internal issue, it was not covered. They said they would fix it for a total of $98.14. I told them to send it back. They billed the machine as being covered under warranty but it isn't.

I've put a new spark plug and air filter in the mower and it still won't run. Poorly designed without a manual choke. They claimed it would start first time every time. Boy that was a lie! A simple choke would make it easier to start and the frame is rusting out horribly.

After 1&1/2 yrs the chainsaw, compared to my old Homelite, is impossible to keep running. When I manage to get it running. Poorly designed chain tensioner. LGTH22V48 - Bought mower new. Mowed my sparse lawn a few times and started to have issues with clods of cut grass falling from underside of mower deck where grass was packing excessively. When these clods fell into spinning blades the mower would bog and several times (5) the mower actually stalled (full engine stop). The last time it happened the left side blade arbor sheared all four mounting ears and tore out of the deck. This caused the belt to tear itself up, ruining it. I took mower to dealer who inspected and cleaned it trying to find cause. Dealer confirmed to me that he found NO indication of abuse/blade strike and in fact the broken arbor carried the least nicked blade of the 3.

After several days dealer informed me that warranty was denied citing "operator abuse." I was left with the bill and no resolution to the mower deck "packing" issue. I posted a summary of this issue on Husqvarna's facebook page and have had contact but no resolution to my complaint. Today after mowing my yard for the 2nd time since the repair I scraped out the mower deck and out came a pile of highly compacted grass 10" high and 23" across at the base. More than half of a five gallon pail's worth! The "packing" issue persists with no resolution in sight.

Let me start by saying that a warranty is like insurance - It's wonderful to have as long as you don't need to use it. I purchased my zero turn with a catching system attached, May 2014. During the second or third cut, apparently the chute clogged and stopped the blower fan from turning. This in turn made the belt that turns the blower break. I probably should have made a lot of noise at that point. However, I needed the mower and could not be without it for any period of time (I mow 4 acres), so I simply removed the catching system and used it that way. Apparently, when the belt broke, it did some latent damage to the spindle on which it rides. It finally gave out last weekend. Since it was still under warranty, I called Husqvarna and they told me warranty claims could not be initiated over the phone. An authorized dealer must personally inspect it. They gave me the names of the two closest to me.

I took the parts in to one of them for him to inspect, but he would not help me in any way, shape or form because I did not purchase the machine from him. He told me the "big box store" I purchased it from was responsible for all warranty claims. He was sick and tired of the big box stores getting all the sales while he gets stuck with all the warranty work. In fact, he stated that he loses money on warranty work. I'm still trying to figure that out. However, he was more than happy to sell me the parts at list price. I tried to write this experience as a review on the Husqvarna website, but they refused to post it because "it did not meet their review guidelines." Big surprise there. The bottom line is - I will use this mower until it wears out, which eventually it will. When replacement time comes, I will look elsewhere.

Clutch engage cable broke after 26 hours. Looked at it and it was frayed at both ends and had a clean cut in the middle. Obviously defective, frayed and mounted incorrectly. Got cut clean through by a blade pulley. Took problem to local (sort of, but closest) authorized dealer and they refused warranty for the fact that they "tried 7 different ways and the computer would not take it." So I had no other choice but to pay for the cable and replace it myself. But the repair center was so sympathetic that he even expressed that he felt my pain and frustration. That made me feel so much better. Yeh, right.

So, I contacted Husqvarna for reimbursement. Husqvarna website form was useless...no response. 1 (800) 487-5951 Husqvarna Group, customer service phone. Called and spent 45 minutes. 1st level agreed with service center immediately so I asked to speak to supervisor. Told that it could not be "escalated" until I got the reason from the local center. I told them I refused to go back to them for the reason they already gave me and then have to call Husqvarna back, let me speak to a supervisor. So they took all information about tractor and gave me a escalation number, and if I lost it, they could do nothing. Long wait times and finally another operator said they cannot override the local repair center. They would not refund me. They could only send me a replacement (of which I already had!). That is the best I could get, though useless unless it breaks again, though I mounted it correctly.

Customer support puts too much on the consumer and customer and anything you do wrong will negate the customer service request. They give you the runaround. Too many level and requirements to get answers or satisfaction, if at all possible. They say, "If you lose the number..." Lots of reasons and info needed to "escalate" to simply speak to a supervisor. They say, "Need reasons for dealer" even though you already got them. They say they cannot override dealer decisions...the dealer has the final decision. Husqvarna gives too much power of decision to local repair centers and dealers and "cannot override" their decisions. I will never buy another Husqvarna anything ever again, even with the 3 years warranty temptation. As other reviews state, the warranty is of little value or just plain worthless.

The dealer and Husqvarna do not recognize that there is a problem. One thing I do know and that is I am becoming a very experienced Husqvarna mechanic. I purchased this unit because I have weed trimmers, chainsaw and a Husqvarna rototiller that have all been very good. I thought their mowers would be no different. Yesterday I went and purchased a new Deere zero turn mower to replace this one as I am sick and tired of fighting with this one. The Deere has to be better. It can't be any worse.

Lowe's wouldn't replace it nor would the dealer. They told me I should have bought the extended warranty. Then this year the front wheels drop to the ground, can't push it. Undoubtedly there are plastic bushings holding the front axle and one side broke, can't get a part so the dealer tells me. I guess the only thing made in USA is the motor.

The rest made in plastic from God only knows where. 400 dollars of junk and probably haven't use this heap of junk no more than 25 times. The only reason y'all keep making this crap out of plastic is because you know it will tear up and you just want people to spend more money. And y'all call yourself "American made built to last." Get underneath, take a ridged 3' putty knife after every other use and chisel out hardened (Concrete like) grass clippings. It is not an easy chore for anybody to do. You should not have to do this every 2 weeks after spending 3 grand on a mower.

In the spring this year, after only 9 hours of use the spindle started making grinding noises and smoking again. This time they replaced the spindle and the pulleys. Two weeks later after I got the mower back it immediately started making strange noises. I called Husqvarna consumer support and told them I believe I have a "lemon" for a mower. The customer service agent told me to contact the dealer again and have them pick it up to be looked at. I attempted to cut my grass again and with only 10 hours of use the mower melt came off and would not drive.

The dealer picked up the mower and it has been in their possession for almost 3 weeks. I called Husqvarna customer service again and spoke with **. He told me that I need to deal with the dealer and there was nothing and no one else I can talk to about my issues. I specifically asked to speak with his supervisor. He refused to do so. I repeatedly asked for another manager or anybody that can help me resolve my issues. He said there was no other person in the entire company that I can contact about my problem. I explained that I am very frustrated because I, the consumer, have a $4000 lawn mower that has spent more time being worked on and in the possession of the dealer than it has in my possession doing it intended purpose. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again.

I brought it into the Lowe's where I purchased it after calling the number on the mower, and was told it should be covered under warranty based on what I told her. I initially only wanted the part sent and I was willing to replace it myself, but was told it had to go back to the store, which I did.

Without ever consulting me about what happened (either at the store or by the repair shop) it was, ultimately, assumed I had to have hit something. I never hit anything but grass. I took pictures of the cheap, pot metal casting that sheared if anyone is interested. I have only had the mower since October 2014 and I now don't trust it based on what has happened. Lowe's has always been my home center of choice for years now. I am currently building a house and have easily spent over $20,000 in the last year alone and the house is only 50% complete.

From here on out, I'm afraid that my preferred home center for most things will now be Home Depot. It is not so much that I was charged for the repair, but that it was determined without ever consulting me that it had to have been broken due to user error, which I know to be a false assumption. And when I questioned this at the store, they turned up their hands and told me to contact Husqvarna. I'm not sure that was the best answer for a product you promote. Never buying or recommending another Husqvarna product is not a big deal to me, but ending my 20+ year old Lowe's relationship should speak volumes. Loyalty needs to be earned.

Was told the tractor was out of warranty so I would have to pay for any repairs. The third year a similar thing happened. Dealer told me he feels the mower deck was under-designed for its size, (54"). Would have been nice to know before purchase. Repairs were made. Later that year or possibly the next the deck broke for the third time. Again this was a pulley mount. This time the dealer asked if I would mind if he sent it to a friend who has experience fixing farm equipment. A year passed with no problems but the next year the mower deck front mounting plate broke. I was so frustrated I had a friend fabricate a reinforced part and weld it. Last year the steering stopped working.

When disassembled the plastic bearing had failed and wore through the steel mount. Again a new much stronger mount and bearing were fabricated and installed. Yesterday while installing a new drive belt I found the bracket for yet another pulley was cracked to the point it will need to be welded and reinforced as well. Each time I had a failure it cost me time and money to make repairs, hire someone else to cut my grass and even pay to have the dealer pickup the tractor to bring in for repairs. I wish I had kept better records and photos because I think I would be talking to a lawyer regarding this. I should have researched Husqvarna better prior to buying this tractor. I would have been far better off and money ahead, if I had hired a lawn service these past 9 years. If that isn't enough to steer you away from Husqvarna, there was a $50 mail in rebate on this model snow blower. I sent in the rebate form and have not received the rebate. When I try to call to find out the status I get a recording telling me they are having technical problems and my call cannot be processed and I should call back at another time. This has been going on for weeks. I know I will never see my $50 rebate Husqvarna promised.

My mower RZ4623 with extended warranty. The welds on the mower deck broke, mower 15 months old. Would not cover under warranty. I was told that they said they're all breaking because mower was transported on a trailer???????? I picked it up with a trailer, nothing was said about it. The service center picked it up with a trailer, brought it back with a trailer. Apparently most of this model has the same problem. It's a factory defect and they won't own up to it.

This mower is no good, their warranty is no good, and their reputation is no longer good. It is not hard to see this product should be recalled. Besides that, the mower deck rattles like crazy, belt flops around, and comes off. There was no grease in anything. Had to grease all before using. Seat is already cracking apart, loose bolts. I am TOTALLY disappointed in this mower.

Money I spent on warranty was a waste. Money spent on the mower was a waste. They did say my ignition switch was covered under warranty (Oh yeah, that is going bad too). STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY OR YOU'LL GET SCREWED. You have been warned. They are no longer the company of good products it used to be. VERY ANGRY. WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. My husband and I purchased a Husqvarna YT H2042 20.0 gross horsepower 540 cc Briggs & Stratton engine riding lawn mower from Lowe's in our neighbor town. We thought we were purchasing a good quality mower, but we were wrong. We purchased with a 0 interest for 18 months and before we had it paid off the problems started. The mower would not pull itself - totally stopped. First repair cost $400.00 - the valve was bad. That repair lasted about two weeks. Took it back to the repairman. The mower would not start - starter was bad. Another $400.00 repair bill. Asked why all the problems, answer was mowers just aren't made like they were.

That repair lasted about 6-7 months. The mower would not start or move again. Took it to a different repair place another $350.00 repair. The starter, battery (which we were told was the wrong size for the mower but was the same that came on it), belts were bad and the engine was making a noise. This repair lasted again about 6 months. The mower stopped pulling itself and the engine sounded terrible. Fourth repair cost $498.00 the engine had moved around some way and the belts were bad again, the starter was bad again, the engine mounts had to be drilled out and reweld so everything would line up correctly. We have cables laying on the cutting deck from rewiring repairs. Again it lasted about 6 months and now we have a mower setting in the garage that will not pull itself again. Very very bad product. The warranty covers nothing. Lowe's needs to stop selling these products.

Bought at Lowe’s they loaded it on a TRAILER when I bought it, they pushed it without putting hydro pumps in neutral. One wheel turns faster than other, no nearby service centers, nobody around here wants work on them because they’re junk, junk, junk, that’s what they told me.

THE WARRANTY SUCKS. THEY FIND ANY REASON NOT TO FIX IT UNDER WARRANTY, seat already tearing, mower is 14 months old. Their service station wanted $150.00 to weld it, got it welded myself for $5.00. Belt comes off all the time. This is the WORST mower I've ever seen, I would NEVER buy another Husqvarna product. I am VERY disappointed and stuck with a $3000.00 POS. I even bought extended warranty, won’t honor it, mower no good, warranty no good, their reputation no good. Stay far away from brand. Stay away from the 562XP! Bought the saw at the start of summer to compliment my other competitor’s saw. Used the same gas and oil mix in my competitor’s saw as well as in the Husqvarna 562XP. After less than 24 hours of use, I took the saw in because it was getting progressively harder to start. After being in the service shop for 42 days I got a call saying that the carburetor has some worn parts that would be covered under warranty. Great, covered under warranty and it will be a couple more weeks until they get the parts installed.

A couple weeks pass and I call the shop and they say that it still isn't running quite right and they are looking for something else wrong, now the saw has been in repair for 2 months and they still don't know what is wrong. Get a call a few weeks later stating that the piston is scored and not covered under warranty, “Sorry nothing we can do.” As I said before I run the same gas/oil mix for my competitor’s saw as well as the Husqvarna. Ended up taking my competitor’s saw into the dealer to see if that piston had any trouble, and he said it looked perfect.

Called Husqvarna to inquire about the manufacturer defect, and why it would not be covered under warranty. They were rude and would not let you talk to anyone that knew anything about the chainsaw and said they will communicate directly with the shop, nothing I can do about it, and no one I can talk to. So after paying just over 700 dollars for the saw I got 24 hours of use out of it. Terrible service, horrible customer service, and a joke of a chainsaw. Will never buy another product with the name Husqvarna on it again. Buyer beware, stay away! You have been warned.

Update: on 12/6/14 I took the saw to two independent (Non-Husqvarna) dealers, both looked at the piston which was scored on the exhaust side only, both stated that running on straight fuel, or an improper mixture would give both intake and exhaust, nearly 360 degree damage, not what my saw has. They both said that due to the intake side being perfect that it was likely another problem. The one dealer said he would suspect an air leak, and that would be covered if I would have bought his saw. The one dealer admitted to Husqvarna being a terrible company for a customer to deal with. So once again, you have been warned, buy a different brand. They also blocked my review several times on their website, so I have decided to post on their facebook page instead!

The belt when disengaged flops around and the engine pulley continues to rotate which pulls the belt up and off the rear tensioner pulley. The design here is really bad. The belt should be pulled off the engine pulley. Nope they disengage at the cutter plate. Drrrrrrrr, off the course the belt will continue to rotate as it is still in contact with the engine pulley. This is very dangerous as the cutters are meant to be disengaged but the belt is still thrashing around. Afraid this is the first and last Husq. The service sucks at $300 to put a belt on, of course this is not a warranty issue. Well it is a customer satisfaction issue.

I made several phone calls to Lowe's and they basically said "too bad, nothing we can do." But they still sell the poor product. Husqvarna does not stand behind their warranty. They like to use the excuse of "bad gas" or if it is not a manufacturer defect then they won't cover it.

Now, keep in mind, my motor is actually made by Briggs & Stratton so I called them as well. The bottom line is that my issue was a bad carburetor caused by "bad gas." I have seen and read several complaints about the same problem. I loaded up my mower and had to drive an hour to a repair shop that is covered under Husqvarna's warranty. It cost me $130 to have a new carburetor installed due to "bad gas", the person I pay to mow my lawn every week, $40, the time spent on the phone receiving pathetic customer service from Lowe's and Husqvarna and the gas I used hauling my POS Husqvarna mower to different places to see who could fix it.

It cannot both cut and move itself at the same time except on a level surface with very short grass. I have taken it to an authorized repair service twice as recommended by the company and they told me there was nothing wrong with it and that I "should expect to have to push it some as it was not made to completely propel itself."

I cannot get just the plastic handle. I have to spend $70 to get the whole assembly plus the cable. I have yet to replace it.

This last breakage was the final straw. The drive cable broke due to a bad design. The cable rubs against a spring and there is no way around it. There should have been some shielding to protect the cable. The cable cost $40, but it will break again in 2 years due to the design. I had my previous mowers for about 8-10 years on average. The second repair center said it would be about 2 weeks to get it done -- THEN we find out that they had to send it to the ACTUAL repair department 150 miles away - then we found out that it would be 6 to 8 weeks before a Husqvarna rep could look at it to see if it would be warranted.

We could not talk to the person at the repair station because he was "out" for the day. We then called Husqvarna customer service (LONG wait to talk to someone - AND - EVERY time we get transferred to another person). The person we were talking to called the repair department where the mower is (STILL) and again, the person to talk to there is "out" for the day. The one time we did finally talk to the repair department head guy (when we finally were told about the 6-8 week delay). He said that our mower was the FIRST one that they had gotten to work on since becoming a warranty shop (THAT is scary). I purchased a Husqvarna 46 only after extensive research in Oct 2013. I used it in the fall to clean up some leaves, and stored it until spring. I used it twice, and in June 2014 which backing up with it, the motor died. I initially thought I ran out of gas, but I was more than half full. When I tried to crank it, it would not turn over.. nothing, not a thing. I called Lowe's repair since I had the 4-year extended warranty, and it was picked up by a local repair shop. After three weeks, it was returned and a bill was handed to me.

The repair shop stated that I had bad gas, and that it was not covered under warranty. I told them that how in heck did it become bad gas when it would not even turn over. I later found out the shop was not even an authorized Husqvarna repair facility. Lowe's in the end gave me a gift card of $35.00 half of the repair cost. I used it twice after it came back from repair, the second time out of the blue, it started to sputter, choke, and then backfired so loud the neighbors came running out thinking a shot gun had gone off.

I called Lowe's repair again, and insisted that they only send it to an factory authorized repair facility. The told me they would have someone call me the next day to arrange pickup of the mower. The next morning I went to my local Lowe's and spoke with the assistance manager. After I explained the issue, the fact that it only had been used for 7 hours, and had already spent 3 weeks in repair, and it looked like it would be another 3- 4 weeks in repair. He indicated that 4 weeks was not acceptable, he got on the phone and called Lowe's repair, they told him that I would receive a call by Tues (2 Sept) to advise me when it could be picked up for repair.

The assistant manager indicated to me if it was going to be 3-4 weeks before they repaired it, he would give me a new mower. Later that day the repair shop called and told me they wanted to pick up the mower, but that it would be 5-6 weeks before it would be worked on, because they were swamped with work. This was the closest authorized factory repair shop, 35 miles away. I told them that they could not pick up the mower, and immediately called the assistant manager at Lowe's. He told me to give him the information off my sales receipt and that he would do a direct exchange and have it delivered that same day.

By about 3 PM, he was having problems getting his system to accept the invoice number from my sales receipt so I brought it to him. I was in the store for about 30 minutes and watched as the store manager, and his assistance input the information into their system. When I left, I had a receipt for a new Husqvarna 46, and a firm delivery date of Tue 2 Sept. There was one catch however, the cost of a 4-year extended warranty, which is almost $300.00. The manager explained that since the mower was 10 months old, and it could not be returned after 30 days. The only way to give me a new machine was under the extended warranty, since it could not be repaired in a reasonable amount of time.

Now, mind you I did not have to purchase the extended warranty the second time around, but honestly, for peace of mind, and a new mower, it was well worth it. I know that in most cases if a mower is going to fail, it will be within the 1st year, factually 29% of all riding mowers have problems in the first year. I figure the cost of a trailer to get it to a repair shop is $400.00, so the extended warranty was the least expensive way to get it to one if it needs to go...

Anyway...there are many complaints about Lowe's customer service on this web site. I think it depends who you deal with, and how you approach them, that will determine if they help you out or not. I did not ask for a new mower, however I did indicate if it had been within 30 days of purchase when it first screwed up, I would have returned it. So for those of you complaining about Lowe's and your mower, put the phone down, get off your rear end and go down to speak with a manager face to face. You may not get a new mower, but it's a sure thing you won't unless you try.

He directed me to another "dealer" not listed on Husqvarna's locator who does this work. They were also closed. So I still have a chainsaw that does not work, have had to take time off from work to get to the recommended dealer who does not perform this work, and spent money on gas driving around for a defective product.

My expectations were: 1) Husqvarna telling me to take it back to Lowe's where they would give me a new one and send the defective one back to Husqvarna; or 2) Send me return postage labels so I could send the saw back to Husqvarna (similar to Dell Computer's policy). Instead I have the burden of repairing a defective product placed on the customer instead of the supplier of the defective product. Of all the items I have purchased in my life, I do not believe I have ever had such a poor buying experience. I will never buy another Husqvarna product and will warn my friends against purchasing Husqvarna products if this is their definition of customer service.

All in all the RZ4621 has been a decent mower. I am writing this to maybe save someone else who has purchased this mower, some time. I was going through problems with my deck belt coming off continuously. I could not find a single review that helped solve my problem. Every time I would go out to mow, I would engage the blades only to have the belt fly off. I would re-install, try to engage again and the same thing. Sometimes it would take as many as 12 times until it would hold and I could mow. Now mind you this happened every single time I would go out to mow. Once it would stay, I could shut it off and start it again that day, but sure as I'm writing this review, I would have to do the same thing the very next week in order to mow again. I tried everything from all the reviews and complaints that I would read - I tightened the spring, I changed the idler pulley with the belt keeper, you name it, I tried it.

I finally read a post on a forum somewhere where a guy was going through the exact same thing. Someone had suggested he tighten the bolt running through the other idler pulley which tightens the idler arm firmly to the deck. I went out to check the situation of my idler arm and it was as loose as a goose. For some reason it never dawned on me when putting the belt back on time after time that the idler arm should not have play in it. I guess what did I know. Bottom line is this - If for some reason you cannot get your belt to stay on when engaging the blades, check your bolt that goes through the pulley that attaches the idler arm to your deck - You will be glad you did. I have not had this happen to me since then and I check to make sure the 5/8ths bolt is tight before using the mower. Life is good now and the months of aggravation are over. I hope this helps someone.

I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word "almost". In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise).

More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

I just bought a Husqvarna riding mower from Lowe’s that I paid $1600.00 in May 2014. THREE months later I called the local dealer to come pick it up because what I thought was the blade failing turned out to be a Spindle. They called me the next day to tell me that the repair wasn't covered under warranty and that it would cost $175.00. When I asked why it wasn't covered they told me that the spindle was broken by serious impact. BY WHAT the freaking GRASS??!!

I live on 2 acres of flat land. The same land that I had been cutting for the past 3 months. It seems that they find any excuse to not to cover something under warranty. Then had the nerve to say there could've been a rock or something in the grass??!! Seriously, if a little rock can break my $1600 piece of equipment just goes to show how shoddy these things are made. NO way it should've broken. They obviously do not care about customer satisfaction. After only having for 3 months and a measly $175 repair, they should've just fixed it at no charge. Very dissatisfied. Live and Learn. Will never purchase another piece of Husqvarna equipment EVER!!

Bought a 4824f zero turn last yr. Ran great. Ended up with about 42 hrs. on it. It started fine this yr., but since then had 5 issues. First was supposedly because of the gas and ethanol, but it wouldn't fire. I put gas on spark plugs and no fire. The mechanic claimed because of water and tore the carburetor apart twice. He DID get started so ok. That was $205, I paid. Then I mowed a lawn and had to clean the deck. When I got back on it, no start again. Solenoid this time. So the dealer replaced it no cost. Yaaaa. Then I mowed two lawns and the next time I jump on it, no start.

Take it back to the dealer because electrically, something is wrong. The mechanic replaced the starter after 1 1/2 wks. And it starts. Then he puts the starter on his bench and guess what, the bendix no longer was stuck. It worked fine. What is going on!? Finally today I mowed my lawn, and it stopped in midstream. I thought I ran out of gas, but I checked and had gas. Jumped back on it and nothing. No noise whatsoever. I checked voltage and had 12.74 V to the started. No what. I figure what of the sensors. A buddy of mine said maybe a fuse to the ignition. Why, why, why? 52 hrs. and so bs ready to trade, sell, and go somewhere else.

The mower has been stuck in the shop with the part "on back order" for almost 6 weeks. I have had to make other arrangements throughout the high-growth spring weeks and through more than half the summer. Still no resolution in sight; a complete waste of money.

Last year, it started... (what looks like oil leaking out of the exhaust-muffler) and it had dripped onto my concrete floor. It had smoked at times when engaging the blades - when the load was put on the engine. I called Lowe's Advantage and filed a work order. They had a company that they use in Virginia to check it out. When I got it back, I read the work order and what was done. They did a service tune up on it. They changed the spark plugs, changed the oil and filter, and changed the air filter. Their paperwork and one of their employees said that they also sharpened the blades and detailed (cleaned up the mower). But, they didn't sharpen the blades or detail (clean the mower). The blades hadn't been sharpened and there was still oil residue on the muffler and chassis area. They said that I would have to pay for it.

I called the Lowe's manager and complained. I clearly said that I don't think it's been fixed, that there seems to be an engine problem with the rings or the block. He said he would make a note of it and I didn't have to pay anything. Well, I didn't know what to do. What could I do?... Last week I mowed with it for about the fifth time since I had this done... Still the same oil looking leak as before. Yep, I think I've been right the whole time, wasn't fixed... I just called 7-31-14 to complain again to Lowe's Advantage. They're setting up someone to check it out again. I don't know if it's the same company or not. I asked the person filing the phone complaint if they've had similar complaints and she said yes.

By the way, I bought two Husqvarnas at the same time from Lowe's. And I bought extended warranties with each. The other one has been used the most though. But, now it's starting to drip too. And all of the riding mowers that I've bought new came from Lowe's. An 18 HP 42" Murray Yard Machines MTD back in 1997. It was still mowing fine when I bought a 24 HP 50" Cub Cadet in 2004. Both were still mowing/running fine, but I sold them when I bought the two new Husqvarnas in 2012. Both have the Kohler Engines. Both 26 HP 54" cut...

Since I bought them, I've noticed that they're putting Briggs Engines on them now... Have they had problems with the Kohler Engines? I paid good money for each... $2200.00-ish for the standard style riding mower and $2600.00-ish for the zero turn style riding mower... plus the warranties for each... And, when I first complained, I went to the Lowe's store in person. No one really wanted to help me or they couldn't. They said that I would have to call the phone number on the mower... Well, it was the Lowe's Advantage number. Couldn't they have helped me in the store, or called for me, or set up my complaint there in the store? I don't want to get stuck with a high dollar mower that isn't going to give me the service that I paid for... Sorry. Thanks, please advise... I'm not going to check the attorney box below for me to be contacted yet. I will see if we can make this right first... Please help.

Put old blades back on after sharpening but still had problems. Recently replaced belt even though it looked good and had no improvement in cutting quality. It leaves a lot of grass in both the heavy areas and light areas of the yard. Customer service could do nothing and recommended I contact local dealer. I bought a Husqvarna YTH22V46 riding lawn mover in Aug. 2013 and also bought the extended 3-year warranty to go with it. I use it on the average of about twice a month on a very flat, smooth terrain. The months of Nov-Feb, I did not use the mower at all since it was winter and the grass doesn't grow as fast during those months. So far, I've had to replace the mower blades, the belt and just recently, two spindle ears. The spindle problem required the mower to be picked up and delivered back, which Husqvarna has done without a problem, and the other two problems, I took care of myself.

I've only asked Husqvarna to pay for the spindle issue since that is an obvious defect in the workmanship. My repairman agrees with that since his shop has seen three Hus. mowers very recently, all with the same spindle problem. I called Hus. and spoke to a representative who then informed me that the repairman said that I was the cause of the spindle problem and there was nothing they could do about it. This is obviously untrue b/c the repairman, whom I know, did not say such a thing and since when does a repairman tell a huge company as Hus. how to conduct business.

I am really disgusted with Hus., not only for the shoddy product I was sold, but for also trying to blame their own inaction on someone else. I would not recommend buying this product or any other way do business with Hus., as I certainly will not be doing either of those in the future. I wish now that instead of buying this Hus. mower, I would have spent the $700.00 it would have taken to fix my 17-year-old Kubota. Oh well, live and learn, I guess!

Lawnmower 775BBC 21" rear-drive purchased 10/13. Ran great out of the box. Second mowing this spring, the blade-drive brake spring broke; visible inclusion at break. Disassembled and found out just how shoddy this thing is built. Everything under the deck is exceptionally cheap and lightweight. Nice paint-job, though. Repaired spring. Chief complaint has to do with design. You show this wonderful machine a picture of damp grass and it completely plugs. Have to hose it out, tons of chewed-up grass, big mess. Tilt it on its side to do so and it will not restart; wait an hour. In 3-4" of damp (not by any means wet) grass, it plugs in about 15 minutes. This is using the side chute, don't know how the bagger works. Deck washdown feature is utterly useless. The rear-drive differential consistently locks up when pulling backwards. Oh and the chute falls off at the slightest provocation.

When I was a kid, Husqvarna was one of the names any self-respecting dirtbiker lusted after. I don't know if their other products suffer from the same globalization disease and I will not be finding out. We went into winter, then the mower was in storage thru the summer as we sold one home and rented (mower in storage) till we purchased another home. We moved in the winter and are just now using the mower again. Upon removing the crooked wheel, we learned the hub was crooked and had caused a complete grind-down of 2/3 of the gears. We called Husq and a wonderful rep. helped us find a repair shop. They called Husq and were told the wheel replacement was not covered because we didn't have it checked out right away.

I've bought a 1998 350 and a 2008 445 chainsaws this year. I've had the privilege of finally getting a 2009 455 Rancher last month, all from pawnshops this year because that's all I can afford. They all have been well used and abused, I fixed a few things, disassembled them, cleaned them and they all run every time a need one to feed myself. I looked at all the boards and all the reviews and I think some of the bad reviews are from people that have no experience with simple repairs. I've had an oil pump failure on the 350, I pulled the pump, cleaned it. Replaced the $8.00 plastic gear and moved on with my life. I didn't pay $120 to a service center or get upset and post a angry review calling all Husqvarnas junk.

I can not speak to the quality of a new saw because I never had one but I can personally speak for the used Husqvarna saws with some personal information about my own situation. I'm happy with the ones a have and my new 455 Rancher....well new to me. The 455 is a beast. It's my pride and joy. I love it and we have a great relationship. I care for it and treat it like it's my child. I give it only the proper fuel and oil and bath it regularly at the end of the day before bed. Its leaks some oil but hey, what 5 yr old child doesn't leak overnight? In return it allows me to WORK, this winter it will keep me warm. If you pay $419.00 plus tax for a saw and you have problems with it I can understand being a little angry but don't trash Husqvarna because the product went down or is having an issue, at least you didn't have to work all month to buy a used one at a pawnshop.

If I ever get a new 455 I'll let you know what quality it is in ten years because I won't be complaining to a dealer or a forum about how my toy broke and mommy won't buy me a new one and they all are junk because mine broke. If you don't like you new junk saw send it my way and I'll send you a picture of it in ten years when I'm still using it. Oil pumps go down, bolts fall out, my favorite I heard was the saws are junk. If they all are junk then how come I paid my child support this week with my well used junk? Junk doesn't pay your bills. The information forums should be for information not venting... Wait that's what I'm doing 8-(.

I guess because when I hear someone say all are junk because the one that was GIVEN as a gift to me wasn't perfect I get a little angered. Again if you do not like your new 455 I'll take it off your hands gladly. For people who are truly having problems out of your new saws I truly feel for you, I have the advantage of never being able to afford an overpriced shop repair bill so when one goes down I fix it myself very simply. Cost me little of nothing because my labor is free and the saw was already well used so I didn't take the hit as hard as you did.

If you will ask some of the people on the forums how to fix your problem, I'm sure most of those guys would be very happy to help and the people putting Husqvarna chainsaw repair videos on YouTube makes most repair tasks very simple. Again I see the biggies in the Husqvarna saw is the cheap plastic oil gear but hey it does say Rancher on the side and not xp. Husqvarna provided a product for $400 and it is a good $400 product, notice I didn't say $1000 product? All in all I would buy another 455 Rancher in a minute if I come across one, in fact if I can get an opportunity to get a brand new one later this year you better believe I'll jump on it because I trust the product. In fact I trust it so much I'll bet my next meal on it....oh wait I do.

Yesterday, my wife called me from her mother's and said that the unit started, ran rough, then began billowing white smoke. She shut it down and called me. I went over to check out some things. Engine had fuel to the carb, spark to the plugs, correct oil level, engine compression (I checked with compression tester). It will spin over, but never so much as a "cough" in trying to start.

Lowe's didn't want to talk to me, since I was past the 30-day return limit for outdoor products. Husqvarna corporate didn't want to talk to me, just gave me the name of a Husqvarna repair facility in my area. It is actually a tool and equipment rental center. I bought my RZ4623 on 3-12-12 and my first invoice for warranty work was 6-21-12. While cutting a flat space of grass the deck began to shake violently. I raised the deck and again engaged the blades and it didn't shake as bad but the blade on the right side would not turn. Upon inspecting it closer I noticed that the pulleys are PLASTIC?!? And the bolt and shaft that hold the pulley to the blade housing is METAL? During normal use any mower deck gets a rough ride and it is just a matter of time before metal chews up plastic in such a rough place. I took it in for service and was without a mower for the better part of the summer. Last year was ok. Now this year I was cutting my grass and the same exact thing has happened with the same exact pulley on the right side.

I see some people have said the belt comes off and I'm guessing the bind and pressure puts extra force on that right side and either the belt comes loose or that metal shaft wears out the plastic on that side. $2600 from Lowe's for this piece of crap and 2 out of 3 summers it will be spent inoperable. Lowe's passes the buck to Husqvarna and Husqvarna wants me to take it to a service center and fix it. I don't want it fixed, I want a different mower. This is the last full summer of my warranty coverage and I already know this pulley WILL fail again.

It already has done the same exact thing twice, why do I want the same LEMON back to break down again next summer to the tune of a $200 repair? There is a definite design flaw on this mower, a manufacturer defect, a LEMON is what it is. But you can forget a recall being issued. There is too much money spent to recall it. They would rather settle their issues one at the time even if it comes to a lawsuit which mine may come to because $2600 for a mower that won't mow 2 out of 3 summers is absolutely unacceptable!
