I bought a Streamline Hard Floor Wet Dry Vacuum with Boost Mode in April, but just after 2 months the problem started. The vacuum would stop every five seconds while I was washing the floor. And then the canister emptying light was on all the time and wouldn't let me do the job. I tried to return the item, but the return policy is only 30 days. There is no way to contact someone at Hoover or return the refund. I paid over $300 for this unit and it only worked for a few months. I wanted to buy a Hoover because I had one before and was very happy with it, but this one is a mess. I don't recommend it at all.

I've had 2 Hoover vacuums in less than 6 years. The first one stopped working after less than 2 years. They replaced it with a cheaper model. That one lasted less than 4 years. I should note that I live in an apartment w/ hardwood floors. So, I only use the vacuum on my 3 area rugs and a couple of runners. In addition, getting ahold of their customer service is miserable. I do not recommend Hoover products.

Unsatisfactory Hoover vacuum battery. Its durability is low and not holding power after charge, I purchase a hoover vacuum. On the description it says battery last for 45 minutes, but I bet you that is a liar. It's never last me for 10 minutes. I don't recommend anyone to buy hoover cordless product.

I had bought a Hoover a few years ago. It worked for 3 months then would not work. When I contacted them, I did not have the receipt so they would not honor the warranty. I said I would never buy another one. Well a few years later, dummy me thought I will give them another chance and ordered a brand new one on Amazon and it worked 1 week and now won't suck anything up. Contacted Hoover again, since I do have the receipt and they proceed to tell me they don't honor the warranty because I bought it 3rd party.. really..Amazon is 3rd party? Hoover is terrible and I will NEVER buy another one.

This is the second carpet shampooer I have spent a lot of money on for both of them not to work and be so easily broken. Water goes everywhere. Leaked so bad my hard wood floors are ruined. I like the shampooer it just needs improvement. I definitely wouldn't recommend especially being how much money I've spent on something to just stop working properly. The handle on the one I am writing this review on quit spraying the water properly. After only 2 weeks of having it. Barely used. I only used the solution that came with it. Also from the company. I've tried everything. Every trouble shooting advice I can. It leaked all over my floor. Ruined them. Hardwood floors. It was plugged in at the time it was leaking, which could cause a fire.

I have a 2 in 1 steam mop that needs a new hard water filter. To my surprise you can't purchase one in Canada! I called the 800 number and asked for a call back, this was on August 29th... No call back on the 29th, no call back on the 30th. I called on the 30th at 1:45 CST and the recording told me the hours of operation were Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST. There is a 2 hour difference between CST and EST, so at 3:45pm EST they are closed? I finally got a hold of someone on Sept. 3rd only to find out that I am ordering the part from the US and it will be $20 CDN plus whatever surprise duty gets tacked on. I am going to throw this Hoover in the garbage and go buy a Bissell.

I can't wrap my mind around this company. They've been around for over a century, so one would think that tenure would warrant pride in their product and especially, customer service. That 100% does not seem to be the case. I've now had two of their Smart Wash Carpet cleaners in back-to-back years. Both have had issues I could not correct between suction and in literally dispensing water.
When I've tried to contact Hoover, they are nowhere to be found. Their chat is automated and provides zero assistance other than throwing links at you to diagnose which one could find videos of themselves on Youtube. I've called numerous times during the listed business hours only for the voicemail to hang up in saying they are actually not open. I took a screenshot showing I was on hold and forced to listen to that creepy harmony they play for literally 54 minutes to no avail after the first time I managed to get through. I attached that photo below. I clicked the option for a callback and no surprise, no callback ever occurred. I then resorted to email and the same story, no response a week later. They shouldn't have a customer service department whatsoever if they don't care to actually provide service to said customer. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY...

Bought a good Hoover canister vacuum cleaner. Button broke that opens the canister and I have to buy a whole canister. Just for a 50 cent button, they want me to pay 40 bucks and I'm sure not going to pay that. I'll get a different brand.

Hoover Floormate Deluxe After 6 months product leaks from clean water tank, in less than a minute the entire tank empty & not plugged in. Cheap crap. Don't buy hoover. Customer service is the absolute worst, won't talk on phone. Easy to avoid dealing with customer. Garbage products and garbage company.

Was sold a used carpet shampooer. For a company that stands for cleanliness, more specific to clean carpets, I’m totally at a loss for how a used product was sold a second time. In addition to the used vacuum, like a fool I just took it out, loaded it up with solution and went to work. Only for the first several passes to leave remains all over carpets. I have now been in a new house for a month that I have never slept in. I cannot bring in or set up any upstairs furniture cause the carpets are disgusting.
After reaching out I believe a total of 4 times maybe a 5 to n recorded calls, I was lucky to get a refund for product (still waiting on). After submitting photos of my damaged carpet, claims/liability department sees no fault in matter and after weeks of not being in my very first home, that don’t feel as if anything further needs to be done. Think I asked for new carpets to be replaced. I just want clean carpets in the new house I purchased. Reporting to BBB. Bissel and Shark is what I was after from jump and in a hurry picked up this product. What a colossal mistake!

Hoover's customer service is the worst. Twice I emailed and neither time did anyone bother to answer. I called and actually got a call back a few days later. They wouldn't help me because I couldn't find my receipt after moving. Even though I was still under warranty and had a Walmart protection plan. The customer service people I spoke with couldn't have cared less. I ended up having to buy a whole new vacuum cleaner. (Not a Hoover, never again.)

2nd Hoover in 2 yrs. Purchased from Walmart. 1st was Hoover steam vac. One use. Did good 2nd use flooded my bedroom when locked in upright position... bad seal to tank. 2nd one was a power dash used once did good. EXACT SAME THING AS the 1st one over $300 dollars total down the drain. I could have had the one area rug and bedroom professionally cleaned for half of what I GAVE them. NEVER AGAIN!

Hoover's the worst company you can buy vacuum cleaner off. Mine's on me. 6 months old and it's been a piece of junk since the day. 6 months before that I bought another Hoover and I took it to the repairman and they threw it in the trash and I had to go buy a new one cuz that Hoover don't want to stand behind their products. They tell you to take it to this rip off in Washington PA. That is no good so what's supposed to do. I turned them into better Business bureau but they don't give a darn. They will when after I get done writing this review cuz Hoover don't ever buy one. They're heavy to handle. Broke off mine. The beater bar does not work right. Just all together a piece of junk but they won't fix it. I found that out yesterday with their idiotic games and nobody will pick up a phone there. That's ridiculous.
To remember the old days when you bought something and blew up before your year warranty was up you could talk to you in person. This is childish. You have some imbecile up at the top of the screen. It never answers you then you wait the day after you answer you back. I'd like to talk to a human person. There should be a phone number but they're just avoiding getting cursed out. They are worth vacuum cleaner company in United States.

I brought a OnePower Stick vac on 10/21/23. All was working fine until one of the batteries would not charge on 5/20/2024. Tried to call them with no success, just kept me on hold. So on 5/21/24 started to email them, did get a response. Did everything they wanted Model numbers of the battery, charger etc.. All I want is another battery which has a 3 year warranty. Also tried to call again every day still nothing. To this day 6/8/2024 have not receive a new battery. It looks like they do not want to honor their warranty. Also after you give them all the info again you don't hear from them, so I email them again and again and again.

I'm stuck with another Hoover floor cleaner that doesn't work out the box. It's supposed to have a warranty; but, Hoover never answers the phone. Now it's too late to return to the store. I guess I'm gonna have to toss it.

Low quality products/service. Devoted return request when defective product broke within 6 weeks of minimal/reasonable use. No further offer to make things right. Don't stand by their products which have significantly gone downhill. No longer a reputable company.

I have been phoning Hoover for over 3 months with no response. I've also sent numerous emails with no response. Hoover obviously have too many customers that they don't care about customers who want to ask about returning faulty products. I'm very disappointed in their lack of customer support.

Don't buy the Hoover dual power max pet carpet cleaner. From the start, every time I place the clean water tank on the machine it starts leaking out the bottom. You're better off throwing a 5 gallon bucket of water on your carpet and sucking it up with a straw. Took weeks for my carpets to dry out.

This is the 2nd Hoover Floormate I have purchased from Hoover.com over the last 2 years. The first one lasted about a year and a half. I decided to purchase another one because it is much easier than mopping, even though they don't seem to last very long. I only used my new Floormate once before it started leaking water from the clean water tank all over the floor. I reached out to Hoover customer service and troubleshooted with them. I tried everything they told me, but the vacuum was still leaking water everywhere. Then they started asking me for pictures of the vacuum. She then gave me the address of a vacuum repair person about 30 minutes from me and said they MAY cover it under warranty. I literally got the vacuum 1 week ago and used it 1 time. It cost me $165.00 and now I have to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed and Hoover may or may not pay for the repair??? Terrible customer service and warranty policy. I will never buy another item from Hoover again!!!!

Please do not purchase a Hoover vacuum. They once were a reputable company, that’s no longer the case. I purchased a $210 pet pro Hoover vacuum that never worked well, called Hoover, we troubleshooted and realized that a replacement or repair was necessary. I then needed to send a video of my vacuum’s lack of suction. Then then wanted another one, so I sent that. Now it’s been 2 weeks and they aren’t responding to phone calls and texts and this is the phone message they give you while you wait hours- because otherwise they won’t call you back. They think this is amusing, video of their long wait and “humorous waiting song”. **. My pet pro vacuum that doesn’t pick up crumbs or dog hair: **.

I purchased a FH53050 pet smart carpet cleaner, it worked great while it worked. We used it monthly cleaned every time. Turned it on smelt burning rubber and sounded like stones in mixer. Turned it off right away. Contacted Hoover 5 times for it has a 5 year so called warranty. I sat on phone one day for 3 hours. They never answered the call. Tried the chat process 5 different times. On the 5th time finally got a claim number in an email. They wanted me to send them a video or photo.. What kind a photo is what I asked. So we took the unit a part and sent a lovely picture of a completely rusted tight motor. Also at about 9 month the spray motor on the handle stopped working.. Took it apart. It all caked full of soap scum. I sent the photo of the rusty motor in the email 4 times now and no response ever. Such a shame. They used to be a great company. I recommend only buy something you only want for a year and throw away.

I own 3 hoover vacuums, all not used frequently due to having a cleaning service. I went to use my Hoover hoover uh30010 vacuum and the front wheel crumbled apart. The vacuum was stored in an appropriate place with others. The vacuum is in otherwise excellent shape, less than 10 years old and I am unable to obtain a replacement wheel ANYWHERE (part 002068001). Hoover said “sorry, we no longer make those parts, and there is no substitute available”. Meanwhile, Shark and many other brands are providing support for many years. Don’t change parts on vacuums that you don’t intend to support. I will NEVER buy another Hoover vacuum again in my life. They are focused on SALES and not customer support after the sale.

Purchased a Powerdash Pet due to the advertising and manual showing a flip window for easy cleaning and maintenance. Upon receiving it did not have the flip window. Customer service states the model was changed and no longer has a flip window despite the advertising, maintenance video and manual all showing it. Hoover refuses to exchange my product and told me I'm out of luck despite their false advertising. I did my research and bought this model specifically for the flip window. This is an illegal business practice and even though they admit they are in the wrong, they are refusing to correct the situation. LIARS AND CON ARTISTS. Will be reporting to the BBB as well for illegal business practices. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HOOVER.

I bought. Hoover WindTunnel in August of this year and the cord to the machine came loose. Now I can't use it. Or get a hold of anybody. 3 months old. I thought Dirt Devil was BF hoover is worse. Never buy again from Hoover.

I have purchased Hoover vacuums for years and for a low cost appliance, they have been fine. However, a recent purchase has a problem requiring customer support, and I learned after extended effort in all avenues, that there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Even the chat box gets frozen! All effort was futile and a waste of time, leaving me with a very sour attitude towards a major company that will not support their product or respect their customer. In truth, their runaround was unbelievable, even in this day and age.

This product is a waste of money. This is my second attempt at this product after the first one did the same thing. Company has been unresponsive and website they claim is available to assist. Is crap and also not user friendly.

How can people say that steaming works and is faster. It is been taking me 1 hour to steam clean when I can wipe things down faster. It takes me 5 minutes to steam one spot like the corner instead of a few seconds.

After less than a month from purchase and normal use for only 3 times, the belt broke and melted the plastic rod in the roller brush (replacement cost $50.00). Am concerned that a brand name appliance was made so poorly (and without any way of getting my money back).

I purchased a carpet cleaner. We have used it a 1/2 dozen times. It's okay you get what you pay for. However I needed a replacement filter and it is not listed on their website.. So I tried to do a virtual agent that turned out to be a robot. It said it would contact me back. It never has. I called the company be a telephone. I was put on hold and then put on a list to call back. No one has called back. I will never buy another Hoover product especially after Reading these reviews.

Purchased at Kohl's. Used about 6 to 10 times. Lack of sucking pr vacuum power. Hoover calls it "dirt cup". It holds dirt as there are no bags. The connection of the "dirt cup" to the body of the machine is weak (unsecure). There is an opening or space between the hose and the rest of the machine. Obviously that opening reduces the power of the vac. The owner's manual has drawings vs actual pictures. There is no parts list. Customer reviews are mentioned & shown. There is NO place for any customer to provide a review of any HOOVER product. Are "reviews" from employees? Actual customers can not enter a review.
