We pay a monthly insurance fee to the water bill and so, we just called Homeserve, and then they sent someone over. I actually ended up calling very late at night. I didn't know they happened to be open probably 24 hours. They answered my call and said that they would have someone give me a call first thing in the morning, and that happened as they said. I'm very happy with the service. The contractor was very knowledgeable and respectful with the home, polite, and professional. He asked where the location of the issues were and we showed him. It was a great experience. I was very glad and happy with how things went. Resolved the situation very quickly and with no issues.

I've had HomeServe all throughout the years and it seemed like a good choice. Submitting claims has been easy. Everyone's very helpful and they send someone out right away. The claims representative was great. I called on a Sunday thinking that they would send someone out on Monday, and then the plumber called back to say that they'd come between 9:00 and 11:00 at night, but was able to come out about 7:00 the same day I called HomeServe. Overall, it was excellent. They were very quick and kind. I've used their services quite a bit and it saved me a lot of money.

HomeServe responded quickly. The plumber was polite, professional and thorough. Resolved the problem quickly. I always refer Homeserve to friends and family. The agent I spoke to understood my concern and expedited getting a plumbers to my home. I'm very pleased that the best was made of an ugly situation.

I’m old and so any time we can get this HomeServe that would help with the maintenance and upkeep of the house that is at a moderate cost, there's no problem. I've only had them look into one issue and that was with my water. I received a bill that had gone up to as much as $5,000 and I had forgotten that I even had this service. I was talking to one of the representatives about one of the other ones. Before I even said that, she said that I also have water inside and outside service if there are any problems. I said that I’m gonna need their service and that I've got a bill that’s going on with me and the City of Miami-Dade Water and Sewer. We get billed every three months and that should’ve been about six months. They kept giving me a chance to find it and we could never find out. We’ve already had several people out. That was how I got them to come out and take care of a particular bill.
The person that did the work was very good. He seemed to be very informed and he seemed to know his craft. My son spoke with him as well. He said he couldn't find a leak, which that had been the ongoing explanation whenever we would get somebody out to check it and yet my bill was still going. I was hoping that he would’ve been able to find something, but he said the same thing everybody else had been saying. I figured he knew what he was doing. He also checked the outside.

The contractor came at 5pm. I reported my broken flooding pipe at 6am. I am seriously thinking of changing my insurance with Home Serve to a more users friendly and reliable insurance. I have several policies with home serve and I am not happy with with your service.

I called on a Sunday. Was able to get service the next business day. The technician went above and beyond what was required as this was 2nd time he made the service call. He gave advice on what to do to avoid so many service calls and fixed the problem. Truly wonderful man.

We have an older home and we got Homeserve for its coverage. When submitting claims, I usually call it in and they get right on it. Usually, someone's back to me within a two-hour window. I don't seem to have a problem at all. The contractor would come out and fix the problem. If it's an emergency, they would come out immediately. Homeserve has never sent anybody out that wasn't very efficient at what they were doing. I've been very pleased with the service and it's been a good experience all the way around. Homeserve is a good deal. Everything is handled so quickly and efficiently.

I called regarding the problem with my sink at 7:45 AM. The customer service representative was very helpful. I received a call back from Lanzo Plumbers within 10 minutes. The plumber was at my house at 8:35 & spent an hour making sure my drain ran properly. Thank you for the excellent service!

I had to pay an extra $300.00 that I was not aware of. I was told on the day of services that the plumbing company only pay $800.00 too for a new water heater. The heater chosen for me was $1200+. I was told later that Home Serve sets the rates. I needed to know in advance of extra charges. Otherwise, the services were great.

I called Home Serve with my A/C problem and the Representative was polite and quick to assess the situation promptly reach to a Technician from Dewey, and it was not ready available another appointment was made with Oasis. The tech was very helpful and knowledgeable and experienced, quickly resolve the problem and my air conditioner is working GREAT! As a Realtor I recommend HomeServe through Cal Water for all their most pressing everyday household needs. I wish Home serve would have a setting like the Residential Homeowner Warranty those are a joke.

I got to looking at the material and decided that Homeserve was probably the best course of action for me to take. If anything breaks down in my house, it's just a call away and they’ll come and repair it. When I submit a claim, they're prompt on it and call me back shortly if they're busy. They give me a call and let me know what time the contractor is coming. Then, the contractor calls. I've had HomeServe for a while now and I don't use it very often but when I have a problem, they’ve been able to come in, take care of the problem and leave. The contractors were very cordial and businesslike. The last one that was here did a clean out with my main line and he did a very thorough good job on it, and I was pleased with that. I'm satisfied with Homeserve and my friends and family members should get it as well.

I called HomeServe and told them about my water heater as it wouldn't stay lit. However, there was a misunderstanding with the first young lady I talked to. She made a little mistake and said it was the air conditioner. They sent the wrong people out. B and D Enterprises came for heating and cooling repair. Then HomeServe finally sent the right people out and they took care of me. The guy said something about the pilot light. He cleaned the dust from under there. Everything worked properly. They came out the same day.

The water company told me about the plumbing of HomeServe and I decided to put it on there. I filed the claim over the phone and the lady I spoke to was very nice. She told me when and what time the contractor was coming. He did a good job.

I've had Homeserve for a long time, but I'm not sure if it's even worth having and I've been debating on that. We have three things going on. There's water leaking out of the floor by the stool, and then the air conditioner had a leak for some reason, and then there was something else. We called HomeServe and told them about it. We assumed that their contractors were coming. The lady said that I could only have two things in a year and that the items that we named off that needed stuff for were not covered.
Dixon took care of the air conditioner. However, every time we called there, they were so busy that they couldn't keep it up. They said they'd come in the morning and then they never showed up, or they'd call and say that it doesn't cover this. Mostly, it took a while to get any action done. Then he unplugged a hose he said was clogged. But he wasn't supposed to take care of that. He's not a plumber. I'm waiting on somebody for the plumbing. Something's coming up under the stool. They said it needed something new in there. A friend of mine and my sister tried to fix it. It's a mess in the bathroom right now.
HomeServe needs to get extra help because they took way too long to come and take care of us. Then, they didn't even take of care of us anyway. I'd call and they say they'd call back the next day. We had to wait. I had to have somebody stay over when I had to leave for something because they took so long to get here. Then with what the lady said, I don't know if I should keep this because I'm paying money for it every month and then I don't get to use it. If they can look into that, that would be great. Right now, we're just gonna let somebody else do the plumbing 'cause it stinks in there and we've had nothing fixed yet. I'm waiting on my sister if she can come and get it down.

The gentleman that came out was very nice, and knowledgeable. He helped me find the city water pipe, which meant he took his shovel and moved the grass out of the way and waited patiently for the city to come in the event they would push back. I would definitely recommend him.

Would have given 5 stars but the communication between HomeServe and the contract plumbing company was less than needed! I informed HomeServe that the leaking pipe was in the hall closet but HomeServe failed to communicate that information to the plumber and unneeded trips and time was a result of that communication gap!!!

I was totally satisfied with HomeServe warranty. I have had for about 5 years and often wanted to cancel. This warranty worked perfect. They sent a reputable company out that took care of the problem on a Sunday and was very professional. I would recommend to everyone.

I called last week for some interior electric work which I am covered for. I spoke to a woman who said someone would call & make an appointment. After no one called me for four days I called back. I got a different woman who was very nice. She said there was no record of my call. She set me up as a high priority & an electrician came early the next day. He was efficient, quick & so far it appears he knew what repairs to make.
It took almost a week to get through. I cannot believe the first woman did not even make a record of my call. Home Serve has gotten too big. They no longer call you 2X/year - Spring & Fall - for an AC & heater tune up. You have to run after them. I called about a month ago about an AC problem. I was on the phone for 1-1/2 hours & then disconnected! I stuck with my portable fan. I was not going to call again & be kept hanging for a couple of hours. I may reconsider my contract when it next comes up for renewal.

My air conditioning broke at 7:45 p.m. I called HomeServe and it was repaired at 11:00 a.m. the next morning. The technician wore a mask and practiced social distancing. I was extremely pleased with the response and service that I received. I recommend HomeServe to all of my friends and family.

Into my second week, still trying to get it resolved. Water has been leaking at my curb box for quite some time. First plumber came out and said that it was wet inside, but could see any water flow, so no repair was necessary, asked for a second opinion, and it is almost 8 days, and still waiting. Service is horrible.

Claim they provide service but no contractor wants to accept their jobs. It's been over 2 weeks and I still have nobody that will even come out to repair the leak in my waterline. All they do is provide excuses. I was told to find a plumber that would agree to provide services under their agreement.

First time workers arrived 10:45 pm. They were pleasant and did their job. However a few days later, we heard a bubbling sound and asked for another repairman to come and check things out. He was courteous and snaked the pipes once again. We have not had any other problems since.

I have air condition condensation back up in my basement utility closet. Remembered that I had HomeServe. Call them up right away. Didn’t have to have my account number. They had everything for me. They set an appointment. Two gentleman came in did what they had to do and 20 minutes later it was done and I was so happy and they got here on time. They was very polite. Technician did not rectify the problem and said the machine was running good after spending couple of minutes doing nothing. I had to get a local contractor to repair the machine out of pocket and is now running well. Thank You.

On 08/10/20 I called Homeserve for a plumbing repair as my washing machine broke a plumbing line. A plumber came out and reported it to homeserve in which homeserve refused to pair for the repair. I have had interior water line coverage with homeserve for years as well as other home coverage options they offer.. Be aware that homeserve as a company did not follow through on my home warranty...

I purchased what should have been help for me if my septic tank had an issue. Well it did and after a lot of run around and terrible customer service basically nothing was covered. A complete waste of my money. Obviously I cancelled it immediately.

Our gas hwh failed and was leaking. I called HomeServe, who sent a plumbing tech late the next day. After the weekend, the plumbing contractor found several complications with a direct swap out, so, he called HomeServe, who agreed to revert to electric hwh at no cost to me. We are pleased with the result.

Everyone was very professional. The service person was great. I'm dissatisfied because the item on my AC system that needs repair is not covered per the policy. I was under the impression when I talked to the customer service person that everything was covered for repair.

I saw HomeServe on the internet and what they could do. Instead of having multiple services, I could use them to get some of the stuff in my home done like my air conditioning and my water system. My air conditioning broke down a couple years ago and Batista Heating and Cooling came in and fixed it for me. I recently had a problem again and the guy came in and showed me what the problem was. There was something else with the blower and I had a different service for that. We have an old unit for AC and heat and we happened to have a maintenance with the heat people. They came in to change the blower and everything worked fine. My two experiences so far with HomeServe have been good and I have no complaints.

I was having sewage back-ups in my basement, HomeServe had PSI Plumbing out same day, multiple cracks in the main sewage pipe was found. HomeServe had replaced immediately. I have recommended HomeServe to family members and friends. They don't just give warranty for plumbing, water units as well, which I just got with them also.

K & S Plumbing Co. This company represented Home Serve very well. The plumber was knowledgeable and very capable, and most effective as he solved our water pressure problem. Among other things, he replaced the water regulator and explained the impact of the replacement. He then tested the result, and we were wonderfully pleased.

On 07/01/2020, we inquired about status checking of our water heater which we have lived with since 1999. They told us to contact Frassica Plumbing in Corona, CA. On the same day, Zeb, a technician came to check it and actually showed us how to flush it for cleaning. This house was built in 1960 and we moved in 1999. So actually we have no idea how old the Water Heater is. Zeb said the quality was still good and no replacement was necessary as long as we clean it periodically. Since then, we have sound sleep every night without "THAT TREMBLING NOISE". We are thankful for his guidance, quick service by the Plumbing Co. as well as Insurance Co. They deserve 5 stars.

I was having a new home and it's always important to have it insured. I heard about HomeServe from our water company and so far, my experience in submitting claims with them has been great. I started to call based on some issues and the reps I talked to were accurate. If it was something that they could help me with, they'd say that someone would get back to me and listen to what we spoke about. And they corresponded with me.
Then, my issues were always taken care of and I always got someone to come out within the day. The techs I had knew what they were doing and saying, informed me on stuff that I really didn't know about, and were very informative. I haven't seen their work as in "work work" as yet, but the quality of the work I received was good. All in all, I would recommend HomeServe. You can place your claim and someone gets back to you within 24 hours. And it's a very good insurance to have for your home.

The tech was very knowledgeable. Was able to solve my issue very quickly. We thought it was a clogged drain but he immediately was able to tell that the issue was with the stopping the drain. Bathtub of bathroom got clogged. We called Homeserve and with few questions to establish identity and nature of problem, HomServe agent was able to fix an appointment in next 2 hours same day. She also asked questions to check if anyone at home had any COVID related problem. The contractor called us in next few minutes and confirmed the address and confirmed the time of appointment. The contractor came on time and fixed the issue. We strongly recommend that HomeServe is a must-have for peace of mind.

I had a drain that had a problem in my laundry room, or so I thought. My technician was very courteous and helpful. He explained to me about how certain cycles in the laundry may actually push out more pressure in the water than others which could cause a sort of backwash due to the p-trap pipe. His explaining gave me new understanding of how drains and washing machines work.

It was very easy to submit the claim for my mother's interior plumbing and drainage system. I called HomeServe and the rep was wonderful. The tech from Mainline Plumbing was great. But it was a problem with Aqua's equipment so it wasn't something he was able to fix himself. But he identified the problem right away and told me exactly what to do. He diagnosed it within the first 10 minutes. So we called Aqua and they came out, and it was done. It was fixed.

Honoring the claim was a little slow and confusing at the beginning but after establishing a direct contact with a technical manager, the process became much smoother. At the end, HomeServe honored the claim properly, with no out of pocket left for me to pay.

Through my water company, I got to know of HomeServe. I needed the coverage for all my appliances. My husband passed and I try to do things to help me. Making a claim was easy. For one I filed, they sent out United Plumbing and they were excellent. They solved the problem. I wish my problem could be fixed though. During the repair process, they called me. I like that much better than texting.

The whole program is wonderful. The contractors were really quick and their work was really good. Everything has been perfect. I got Homeserve because I'm a widow, so it's really hard making bends and kneels. But it's really great to be able to have someone come and do the work as fast as they do. I'm very happy.

Submitting claims with HomeServe is easy. The first time, it was quick. Somebody was here within an hour. And then, we had to call them back because whatever they serviced wasn't working well. Then air conditioning unit started working, but then it didn't work during the day. Because of the heat, it was too hot. We scheduled an appointment for them to come back, but I don't know why the appointment got canceled by itself and we never heard back from that company. So, I wasn't fond of that company that HomeServe used. If I do have to get the A/C serviced again, I don't want that company. But the company we used previous to that was pretty good.

Gas line replacement. Was not happy with one of the employees spitting everywhere with this covid19 going on. The one in charge told my wife he didn't have to paint the pipe but finally went and got paint and took care of it, said didn't want to get paint on their hands dirty. Did not put hanger on pipe. Were going to leave house filthy with pipe dope finger prints. I told them they needed to clean the prints off. The worst workmanship I ever seen. No soap test was used to test for leaks. Was told to smoke a cigarette, we would know if there was a leak.

The time it took for the contractor to come out to service me was acceptable, whatever it was. And then, the gentleman was quite professional. He explained to us what he was doing. It was great. All is well. Everything works.

Called to find out if Home Serve would have plumber put in a new faucet for me -yes- no one said my plan covered faucets! K-JET came out and did it. Later I I found everything was leaking. Called k-jet - would not come out until Tue. I said that was unacceptable. Called home serve. They got Roto Rooter to come out last Sat and he said everything was loose. Still leaking. Roto rooter came out again- different guy. He said the k-jet person put on used connectors - I have them and also the old faucet- this guy said there was not much he could as the shutoff valves had a problem and the sink was broken and the new faucet had problems.
4th plumber sent by home serve agreed that the sink would have to be replaced- odd size- fits between 2 walls-4th guy and I made sure the measurements were correct. I called home serve and everyone was gone for the holiday. Checked Lowe's and Menards for prices. Called Onyx manufacturer here in KS and they said that if the order was dated July 3 they could put a rush on making it- did do this at Menards July 3. Home Serve has pictures.

My claim went really well. I filed it after hours on Saturday and HomeServe had the repair company come to fix the issues the next day. It was a Sunday, so I was really impressed with it. They've been very responsive. David from K Jett Services explained everything he would do and showed me the roots that he found in the floor drain as well as some sludge that was in that PVC pipe that caused a problem as well. He was professional.
Having HomeServe is one of those situations where it's not exactly the same as having a home warranty, but it is very similar. It's similar as well in terms of if you have the insurance and you hope you don't have to use it, but you hope to offset any major costs that might occur. I live in an older house with lots of oak trees. So, as far as plumbing and the infrastructure or piping and stuff like that, it's old. It's about having some peace of mind not to have a huge expense. I had vacillated too. I was like, "Do I really need this comfort to paying, 'cause all together, it's hundreds of dollars a year." But at least at this point in time, to pay a bit each month makes sense to me.

I had a problem with a breaker that needed fixed. He replaced the breaker, he came in and fixed the problem. He worked very fast, didn't waste time. He left no mess, left everything as it was. Was completely professional and very polite.

Drain water backup/Sewer problem. Would hope that if future similar issues arise, representative would be the same. He was very thorough. Even after seeing that water was running through, technician checked further to ensure that everything had been checked. Technician was very qualified and thorough.

I had a water heater claim through HomeServe and I do have to get it repaired myself but the guy that came over was very good. He explained everything and he didn't rush anything and I'm glad I got it. I'm glad I was able to call him. He explained that they couldn't repair it themselves because it was the water that was dealing with the air condition. I also had a claim with Homeserve a few years ago for some pipework. That went well also. I have a leak in my kitchen sink. I'm retired and live by myself, so I really don't have anybody to look at it. I was able to call HomeServe to send somebody out for that, but I gotta find somebody to do it. I wish that they would give me other choices to having somebody to come out and do something that's hard for me to do myself.

We had a slight leak out of the bottom of a toilet. The contractor that came diagnosed the problem and said that it was some wear and tear had led to a place where water can seep out. He said that there were two options, one of which would have been a fairly expensive repair that would have been on us that would've meant taking the toilet off entirely, taking out some tile and putting down a whole different base for it. But he said, he could actually just fill in with some sealant thing. The first thing would have been permanent for eternity, the other might last for 10 years. So we took the 10-year one and it was covered by the warranty. He did an excellent job and the leak's gone. He solved the problem without cost to us, so we were happy.
HomeServe has excellent service as well. Because the other time we've used it was where we forgot we had it, and we had a significant situation that was an emergency and we hired our own personal plumber. After the fact, they agreed to cover the fee. It was a reasonable cost and they covered that up as well even though it wasn't done the way it was supposed to be with calling the first. So, we were totally pleased.

Got quick callback to set appt for 12 to 4 next day. Tech showed up at 6:45. Reviewed situation. Said he couldn't touch it because it was water draining from HVAC system not toilet tub or sink. Broken pvc pipe remains.

Thanks for providing this feedback. I found that your issue was in fact a leaking condensate drain line, which is part of your HVAC system and not part of the interior plumbing of your home. I had a plumbing claim and everything was fine with HomeServe. They sent out United Plumbing and their tech was careful due to the COVID thing. He said the plumbing was clogged up somewhere and it was blocking the sink. He finished the repair in 30 minutes.

Pleased with the job and replacement of the feed pipe. We had leaks in the ceiling tile of the finished basement. We took the tiles off and determined that the leak was behind the vanity. We had to punch a hole in the sheetrock behind the vanity.

I called HomeServe leak guard because I had a leak under the sink. The sheetrock was wet. They sent a plumber out the same day. Even though the leak was not covered...was a broken faucet, the plumbers repaired it on the spot for a charge.

I had to wait 2 days before the plumber called me. Then I was on hold for at least 20 minutes and nothing got done. Spoke to a supervisor and made my complaint. Still waiting for the plumber. The problem did not get fixed and I am back at the same place I was on June 21. I am very frustrated.

I'm a single woman, and I live in the country by myself, and I need all the help I can get sometimes. Homeserve has been really good. I had a couple of problems but they were mostly a misunderstanding and contractor problems. People didn't know what they were doing and they didn't fix the issues right. Those were not with Homeserve though. They've always been really helpful. I do my claims over the phone, and the claims reps are all good.
I was having trouble getting somebody out here for one thing. Then they never wanted to show up when they were supposed to. I was working full time, and I was having a hard time making connections. Homeserve switched contractors and then eventually, somebody did come out but they didn't do it right. It went south again by another contractor. I ended up fixing it myself. It really wasn't Homeserve. It was just a bad contractor. I've gotten people to sign up with Homeserve down through the years because I've had them for probably seven years. Everybody that helped me was so good. The customer service has always been outstanding, very polite and business-like on the phone. People are really nice.

I had an issue with the water heater. HomeServe sent out Mayes & Sons Plumbing to repair it and they were great. Their customer service was really good and they explained everything that they were gonna do. They also explained what could be some of the potential issues and when they came back, they fixed the water heater in a short time. They were terrific and very professional.
The service with Homeserve has been really good, too. We had to have the hot water tank replaced two years ago and when Mayes came out, we found out that the company who replaced the water heater put in a unit that was not one of the better quality. It's just kind of an okay quality and we weren't really happy with that. At the time, we didn't know that as we don't know about hot water tanks. I would expect to get a better-quality water tank than just an okay one that could’ve been a significant issue two years in. But the process with HomeServe had been easy and the response time from all of the plumbers had been good.

I have been a Homeserve subscriber for several years. Today I inquired about a conversion to an upgraded plan. However in order to do so Homeserve requires for the existing plan to be canceled first. Once the current plan has been canceled, the new plan would become effective 30 days later. They do not provide a bridge for coverage.

I had a warranty on my home before and it lapsed so I had to get a new one. I have HomeServe now and when I have a claim, I call and they give the information. They send somebody to check the problem out. The contractors call me and let me know they're on their way. They are good and the quality of their work is excellent. With HomeServe, you pay your deductible and you get everything you broke repaired for free. That's what I like about it.

One of my very good friends here has a sister that lives in a nearby town. She had plumbing problems with outside and the bill was huge. I then found Homeserve and they were affordable. They're probably number one. I've had nothing but wonderful results as of now. The last time, we didn't know if it was the city or me or the people across the street whose line was broken since it was under the ground. So, I found somebody right away, and then I called HomeServe because it was my line. And then, they said, "You should call us first, and then we find somebody." It was late Thursday or Friday but they said that was okay. They went with the person that I found because I asked the city workers who to recommend. And then, I never got a bill or whatever. HomeServe took care of it. I realized that they have just certain people that they send out. But what I did worked.

I got a letter from MLGW, my utility company, a couple of years ago when I bought my house. That was when I decided to go ahead and take out a policy with HomeServe. I'm very pleased with that decision because you just never know. My dad was a plumber so I know what can happen. I always knew if I ever owned a house myself, I would definitely have some coverage. You cannot count on your insurance company.
When I made a claim, I called their number and logged on. The rep was great and I could not be more pleased. They set me right up and I had somebody out of here the next day. My last claim was for an interior plumbing and drainage system. Best Care Home Services came out and that went great. They were very professional and were in and out. They got the problem fixed and I was very pleased.

I wanted a home warranty because of the expenses in case something breaks down. When I have a claim with Homeserve, it goes really smoothly. I call in and their reps over the phone are excellent. Their contractors provide excellent service too. I had a motor replaced in my air conditioning unit two weeks ago and the gentleman that came out was absolutely phenomenal. Waiting for the service did not take long too. He was out in less than 24 hours.
I had another incident with the same air conditioning unit and I was waiting for a circuit board to be replaced on that same unit. But that malfunctioned and went bad within a week after this gentleman was out, so that was something that the technician that came out explained to me wasn't anything that he could have easily recognized that was going bad. It was just an incidental thing and I don't blame that other technician for not realizing that. It was something that just happens.

I called HomeServe for a service on my sewer and septic line. The techs came and did what they had to do, so everything went well. The plumber who came out knew what they were doing and were very professional. They handled everything smoothly. All in all, Homeserve is the best and they are very good for people like us who are always on a budget. I called in a Repair Requests on June 10th. I received a text and email periodically from HomeServe asking if a contractor called me. After I answered no there was no further contact. I called Homeserve on several occasions and was told the contractor will call me. Finally I was told the contractor rejected my order. I was then told a new contractor would call me & their phone number was given to me. After I hadn't received a follow-up call eventually I called the contractor and set up an appointment. The contractor came out on June 19th. I'm dissatisfied with the follow up service HomeServe didn't provide me.

Condensate was leaking from condensate pan. The technician told me that the condenser coils were leaking. This is not true. The refrigerant side of the unit is not leaking. The a/c works normally, blows cold air, the only issue is that condensate leaks out of the unit and on to the floor. In the what is not covered section, it does not list the condensate pan or condensate system. I can understand that if it was leaking down stream of the unit, it would be On me. I was told by the technician that the unit needs to be replaced. I find it very hard to replace the unit that works normally other than the condensate leak.

The company you sent to see about my problem were very unprofessional and rude. They told me the problem was landscaping. Before they even came in I told them had a couple of toilets that were clogged and was not easy to flush. They never looked at them. They just got on their truck and left!!

When I called Home Serve I had water on the floor of the bath and drainage was backing up into the tub. Jared responded to my call and he was great. It took him a long time to get it open because there is evidently a problem in the sewage line. It is working now but he said it can happen again. I'm so impressed with the service he provided.

Cassidy's Plumbing came out twice. The first guy didn't know how to get to whatever it was needed to get to, so somebody else came out the next day. They took care of the issue but I would’ve preferred for it to be done all in one day. According to my husband, he had already figured it out, but he wasn't really sure. It was a wire back there that was messed up. My husband showed the guy where to go and showed him the wire. Once they put that wire together, it worked. It was a waste of time and money.
I had another company but I switched over to HomeServe because of the fact that I had to pay every time somebody came out, whether they fixed an issue or not. With HomeServe, they'll send somebody out here to look at it and I don't have to pay any money. But as soon as I'm able, I'm gonna switch back to the other company 'cause they do a lot more than what HomeServe can do. I have recommended HomeServe to people, and I have also recommended the other company. They're saying the same thing that I'm saying they prefer to use. Even though it's expensive, it would be better to go with them.
I had a plumbing issue. HomeServe's contractor came out here and fixed it, but the drywall was messed up on there because of the way it busted. They wouldn't fix that, so I had to find another contractor to come out here and handle that myself. On the other home warranty, they fixed all that. I had the same thing happen where a pipe had busted and the wall messed up, but they fixed the whole thing. They fixed the piping inside and put the drywall back up.
I have another issue where it's leaking right now, and they sent somebody out here. The guy wanted to bust the wall to find the leak, then he would fix the leak. But he's not going to put the wall back up, which is crazy. He didn't even have a tool. They should have sent me somebody out here who has a tool that allows them to test the moisture of the wall, and they'll know exactly where the pipe is. That ticket should still be open. I went out and bought my own little measure to do the moisture. I’ll call them back and have the plumber guy come out. I'll cut the hole in the wall, but I still gotta find somebody to put the drywall up. So, paying the extra $75 for somebody to come out here with the other company makes sense because then if that happens, they will replace the drywall and put the pipe up.

Called on a Friday, initial appointment was for a Monday, then got a call saying initial company had a larger job come in so they could not come out till Thursday. That was not acceptable, so they then said will come out Tuesday, on Tuesday, they said worker called in sick so it would be back to Thursday. Had to get another company to come out later in the week. That is not responsive or timely.

A/C fan was broke. They had to order a new 1. Took about 5 days for a new one, but because the weather was so nice and didn’t need the A/C it was ok. The 1st 2 days had to spend money and stay in a hotel. The service tech with Cassidy did stay in touch and let me know what was going on.

I had an insurance policy to replace my hot water heater which they did unfortunately it was replaced by a hot water heater that was dated 2017, three years old. Extremely disappointed as I didn't realize it until after it was install.

Technician showed up on time and replaced the water heater and all of the component parts, as well as the electrical connections and removed the old water heater without any associated problems. The new replacement water heater works fine and the technician answered all of my questions excellently.

Every time we call them the plumber comes it’s never covered. Don’t actually know what they cover. They don’t fix anything. Just come to your house, explain the problem and leave. Do not do anything about it. We have called them for similar problems a few times and it has not equated to our problem being solved. Would not recommend it.

Possible leak. Called late in afternoon and no hold time. CSR was efficient and informative. The plumber called within 15 minutes and set up an appointment for the next day. Plumber (Stotts Plumbing) came when they said and scheduling agent called in advance. Plumber (Drew) was great and fixed a minor problem and HomeServe called to follow up before he even left. You can’t get better service than that.

I had a problem recently and I wanted to get insured because the first time was very expensive. I got the HomeServe service plan. Then we had a problem in the basement with some water coming out of a sink. When the techs came, they could not repair it because it was working perfectly. It was two days later. It's good now.

Toilet clog. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it took three trips. The problem was finally diagnosed and fixed. Techs were very helpful and pleasant as were office personnel. Apparently it was not a common problem but it seems to be working properly now.

Water pipe leak repair. The service man was actually from LA and was helping here with overload. He and his son helper were thorough and fast in locating the leak and cutting it out and replacing. I called Customer Service to report my problem. As promised, I received a call from an HVAC contractor the same day, actually within an hour. The contractor came out the following day. He identified the issue, and had the needed part on hand to make the repair. He was courteous, explained the problem, and completed the work in a short period of time. I was very pleased.

The plumber responded immediately. He explained that the leak was coming from a pipe in the wall and then replaced it. It was repaired and I’ve had no more problems. I would recommend Home Serve because of response time and knowledge of the problem.

I was denied any opportunity to service and potentially repair the aircondition unit in my house; this regardless making prompt annual premium payments for years and without any tangible repair jobs. This has happened repeatedly over the years with repeated denial of maintenance or small repairs for the aircondition unit. I am beyond frustrated and would be thinking of alternative service coverage.

I initially had trouble submitting my claim on the website and opted to call the phone line. I had a great experience with the operator even though she too had website issues. While waiting for a call back I got through and she must have too. I was quickly called by The Plumber and got a service time that was earlier than I expected. They were great to work with. I called them and had a repairman at my house within a day. My AC unit was up and running within an hour of the repairman arriving. They stood by their contract and made the process very easy. I am glad I had these coverages with HomeServe. I thought it was a good idea to get a service plan and I heard about HomeServe through my water company. Recently, my bathroom sink was clogged up for almost a week and when I called HomeServe, they sent out Barney Jordan Plumbing. My experience with them was great and so far, I like my contract because I don’t have to worry about hunting for a plumber or electrician. I’m very satisfied right now.

My parents have Homeserve, so when we bought the house, we phoned up to a couple of the programs. It's very easy to request a service from them and if I call in the morning, usually someone comes out that day. If I call in the night, someone comes out either the next day in the morning or in the afternoon. So far, I've used them four times for the heating and twice for the sewer. I was very happy with the results of my heating claims and it was because Homeserve was the one that was sending the people for that. But I was not too thrilled about the plumbing plan which was more through a third-party. So sometimes, they were just a little lazy. One time, I wanted them to snake out something and they didn’t wanna do it if they even see an issue. Despite that, I’m very happy with Homeserve.

I was originally with the gas company and the utility company. When they switched, HomeServe became the provider and that's how I got it. I've been using them for the last five years and I have them on three houses. The request is not a bad process at all. I just recently had them out for air conditioning in my house and the guy came out and said that somewhere in the system, there's a leak. The Freon came out of the system and that meant nothing's covered other than his service call.
I tried to call HomeServe and I found out specifically what was covered for my air conditioning. A lot of times, when I reach people on the phone, they're nice but they're just telephone operators. I tried two times and I finally gave up to get them to send me a copy of what it really covers on the air conditioner. I really wanted something in writing to say what is and what isn't covered. I was a little disappointed about that. Also, when a customer has a detailed question, they should be able to hook them up with someone who can give a detailed answer. But other than that, I've used them before because I've had them for hot water, furnace and air conditioner and usually, they've been very good.

HomeServe was the first one that ever contacted me and I got the service plan in case I needed it. I had a pretty good experience with them when I submitted a claim but it was a little rough. I thought I had everything covered but it turned out that I had everything covered except my central air unit. I had to pay for that myself and for $3.20 a month, it cost me over $420. Then, the first three people I dealt with were kinda rough. I got hung up on once and the last hold time was crazy. But the last person I dealt with was very knowledgeable about what was going on, explained it to me why I understood they would pay, and told me what might have happened with the confusion with my central air unit. Other than that, the contractors were good and I had no problem at all with them.

HomeServe always comes through. I had a plumbing problem where the thing it’s set on in the floor was fixed, then I a plumbing line I had to have repaired. I also had some clogged drains that they fixed. I call them when I have a problem and they take the claim. Then usually, someone calls me back within 30 minutes to a hour. The contractors that they sent out were good, too. They were gentlemen and always explained what they were doing. All in all, there is nothing that HomeServe could do to make their service better. They’re very good.

Why have this insurance, if your contractor will not fix my hot water heater... I was told that my hot water heater was old, so they won't fix it, only replace it... If I had a new one, I wouldn't need Homeserve... I was told the part wasn't sold anymore... It's a universal part that I found online...

I had no gas service in my home and could not get through to National Grid (it was a Sunday morning). Home Serve responded and send a service tech to see if the problem was in the gas line. Response time to my problem was exceptional and technician was knowledgeable. Very happy with their concern to my problem and response to it.

I had an outside spigot in the backyard that I couldn’t shut off and the faucet was in bad shape. There was also a shut off just inside the wall in the basement and it was messed up. Making a service request to HomeServe was easy. It took a couple of weeks for someone to come out, but the actual plumber called me back the same day. However, we’re in the middle of this health crisis plus I work every day. He came out a couple of days ago to evaluate the problem then he came back two weeks later to fix it. Everything is good now. I’ve had to use HomeServe twice and both times, I was satisfied with the service, the cost, and everything.

My initial call went great. Derrick was friendly, professional and very helpful. Hers and His plumbing was also great on the initial call. They were able to get me an appointment the same day... She said between 2-5. Great. At 5 I called and the lady I spoke to said their driver was "out of range", but she would let me know as soon as she heard from him. So I started looking for reviews for "Hers and His" plumbing... not good. Then I called Home Serve and said I had wished I had checked their reviews first and the lady said, "You can't believe those reviews." Bottom line: he showed up at 5:45. Unclogged my sink and tub and was on his way home for a 2 hour drive! He was nice and I have not had any more issues SO FAR. I hate when you have to do a review right away. But I guess it was ok and that is all I'll say...

We had your contracted plumber come to look at our clogged lateral. When he snaked the line he sent the sewage into our family room through the bar sink. He showed no remorse or concern. Furthermore his attitude was poor and overall unprofessional and unsanitary. While he was wearing a mask, he never put booties on when he entered our home to see the damage he caused.
My husband had to call his boss to try and get a restoration company to come out and clean the mess. We were offered restoration services but they couldn’t come until the next morning. Clearly we couldn’t let sewage sit in our home, so my husband and I were left to clean the disaster. After the plumber left, we discovered he left piles of the sewage/feces in my front lawn. My husband contacted Aqua Homeserve and the plumbing company the following day because he felt the job was incomplete. Since he got the run around from both, we hired a company we trusted to finish the job. So to say that I am unsatisfied is an understatement. I am horrified by the way the job was completed and handled. I am evaluating my options on how to move forward with this situation. I have included photos, but I am unable to upload the video.

Power jetted line to clear it after snaking it failed. Two different men did their best, to clean it out, both were professional and explained the problem and cleaned up sewage they pulled out, they also explained about installing a cleanout garage into a cast pipe for future issues.

I called HomeServe to make service requests and their reps were professional. There was a claim where I told the tech to call me and give me a heads up when he was on the way. He did everything the way he was supposed to do it. When a rep called me about that, I told her that when the guy came out there, he didn't do the repair that I needed. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t worth doing. It was just a bolt that needed tightening. He tightened it so everything is fine. It wasn't a major thing that he did. Everything was okay with the rep who called too. People should definitely sign up for HomeServe. They can't lose and can’t go wrong.

Getting a plan from HomeServe was a just-in-case situation. I have an older home and one time I blew a fuse. I’ve been using too many things in the kitchen at once. HomeServe was very helpful. External Water Line Repair. I called the customer service number early in the morning. The lady I spoke with told me that I should expect to hear from a plumbing company in four hours! I thought I heard 24 hours. Within two hours I got a call from a plumbing company that a repairer was on his way. An hour later the plumber knocked on my front door. After an hour the work was done. Whatever you do DO NOT use HomeServe! They give you the insurance for a sewer line and then when you have a problem with the sewer line they WON'T fix it! Had their vendor come out, who was nice and knowledgeable, but required another sewer scope at MY cost of $198, then denied the $3200 repair bill. Seems pretty interesting, they'll take the money for the policies but won't actually repair when a problem comes up!

Not sure if the COVID pandemic is impacting how they do business but they sent a contractor to my house that took a 5 min look at my HVAC unit and said that it would need a new compressor and that insurance would not cover the repair and that I needed to buy a new $6000 unit from him. Seemed shady. I had two other HVAC guys come out and both confirmed it wasn't a compressor issue. Just needed some coolant.

Sewer Line Repair in Cleveland. Home Serve plumber misdiagnosed the problem and said that sewer line goes under neighbor's driveway and they will need to dig up the driveway. Neighbor refused to give permission to dig up her driveway. We hired another plumber who diagnosed the issue as crushed sewer pipe in the crawl space, fixed it and got everything working again. We sent the diagnosis and repair options to Home Serve but to avoid paying the claim, they kept on insisting that they need neighbor's permission to dig up her driveway to do the repairs.

It took 2 weeks and 3 different days to address my concerns and problems. After they rectified the problem with the main drain, I also had a concern about the washing machine line. It was clear to me that the flies were coming from that line too, which by the way does not empty into the main line. On the third visit, they finally did what I originally had requested. I've used Home Serve, for several years, for my heating and ac without any problems, that is the reason I signed up for other services. If I have similar problems in the future I will cancel.

The company sent by Home Serve did an excellent job but then I was distressed to learn that the contract did not cover the unit. It was along with everything else in the entire system NOT covered. I submitted a total of three claims. One was for a dryer, but that never really got resolved. I submitted one for my refrigerator and there was a lot of issues with that. But eventually, they said that they were going to take care of it and reimburse us, so that's supposed to be working out pretty good. The third one was for a water heater and they came out and fixed that really fast. The contractor was professional. So overall, Homeserve has been good. It's just that the claim for our refrigerator took over almost two months because we were given misinformation. But somebody got involved and managed to take care of it for us.
When we call Homeserve, nobody seems to know anybody and I always have to keep on explaining my case over and over. There were times when they said they were gonna follow up with us and they never did. At one point, we were waiting to speak to an agent and the agent said that they were busy and then we kinda heard them in the background kinda laughing. So it almost seemed like I started to lose trust in the company, thinking that it was a scam.
When we call someone, we expect to be able to speak to them and never wanna give out their last name. I was trying to write down who I speaking to because it was a big issue but they never wanna give their last names, and I kinda felt like they were hiding stuff and they were giving me a big runaround. But eventually, somebody from the advocacy department got involved and everything is supposed to be resolved and we are supposed to be getting reimbursed here soon. So we're waiting to see how that's gonna go.

My wife and I just bought a house and we thought it'd be good to go ahead and sign up while we could with HomeServe. Initially we asked for a plumber. We moved in and the sewer was good, and then one of the roots of the trees in our yard had stopped it from flowing. The city didn't have blueprints of where my sewer is supposed to be. So the guys ended up having to come in and dig up my basement. And they finally found and fixed it. They did an awesome job and I was proud of them.
My basement is under my house and when they were down there they mentioned to me that I need to have my electrical checked out. So I had an electrician come and I was kinda disappointed because when I went down there with him I got a breaker box and the door's off and the wire's out. I had two lights that wasn't working and they got them and said it was all right and that I got a new wiring and the breakers are new and left. But he didn't try to put the casing back on it. HomeServe could've had another electrician come and look at my situation but it never happened. The problem remains the same and the reason they said that is because one of my boxes is close to my sewer. If another electrician came he probably would say the same thing. Other than that Homeserve did their job.

My neighbors had HomeServe and recommended it. They said it was worth it to get it. Submitting a claim has been pretty easy and they’ve been friendly. So it’s been pretty good. They’re good about texting or calling or letting me know. The contractors have been good as well. They came out and looked at stuff and then submitted it back to HomeServe. And either it’s not been covered or they didn't find a reason to do anything, so I haven’t had any work done.
I have an ongoing issue of an undiagnosable leak. At the time that I first submitted the claim, the company came out and thought the issue was inside the house. They didn’t see it, so they left it. The one thing that was a little frustrating was that Homeserve did not let the company do a camera on the second time they came out because there wasn’t water running out at the time. I think it was gonna be hard to diagnose it without having a camera in place to see where possibly there was a leak coming from. Everybody I interacted with was friendly. But I was a little frustrated with the last one because there’s truly a problem there and they didn't let the tech have a camera it to see. So I might go back and try to see if they can take a look at it again.
There’s a sewer pipe coming out of my house and I had it dug up because of a patio I was gonna redo. Now, it’s been three months dug up, and I have this big moat outside my house because the patio guy doesn't wanna put over the space until all of this is taken care of. It may be partially a septic issue because after I had that pump, then the issue was kinda resolved.
When I had Homeserve come back out and look again, it wasn’t leaking. So I think there’s a backpressure issue that’s contributing. When there’s this pipe coming out from the side of the foundation and then there’s this big hole of where that pipe comes out, if the shower’s running, there’s water coming out from around the pipe and going down the side of the foundation. That had stopped for a little bit after the septic was pumped. But now, it’s starting again. So there’s a leak somewhere because there wouldn’t be water pumping out. But I still don't know exactly where the leak is coming from.

I needed to get the gates painted outside in the front. I was just browsing because I needed something a little better than a barbwire. I was searching who does it. It’s kinda hard to get people to do anything right now. HomeServe popped up so I wanted to a quote. I used their app. I gave them the address and my name then somebody called me. Someone came out, gave me a price then I had another price. I just went with the better price. The contractor was very helpful and neat. They did a good job and it was fine. I have no complaints. But I’m sorry that they went out of business. The guy left me his card with the receipt and everything. I need to have the gates painted again, but now, that contractor is disconnected.
I also need a doorframe replaced as it's getting rotten. It has a metal frame around it. The frame has to come off and the wood has to be replaced then the frame has to be put back on. I had someone to come and he said that he would do it, but that was a year and a half ago and he hasn’t called me back. I might have to call him. I can’t get anybody to do anything. I don’t mind going on the internet and looking for stuff. But I really don’t like to do all that stuff on the internet. I’d rather just call. I know we gotta change with the times but it’s kinda hard. It’s like they even want too much information.

When called for service- 1st time in 5 years of coverage- explained the issue was a back up in the condensation line- I was then charged $50 service call fee to have a pro come tell me that I was right and this wasn't covered and then had to pay $230 out of pocket. I should have been told that was not covered and I would not have wasted the $50- Super frustrated... Plan to drop all coverages, and let others know.

My clogged plumbing. I called the 800 number for HomeServe. They sent a local plumber from Hitt Plumbing out right away. They fixed the problem in no time. Both the plumber and the service were fast, friendly, and efficient. This insurance was the best purchase I have ever made.

My Homeserve experience has been a cluster mess. My first claim was December 28th and I just had the job done two Fridays ago. It wasn’t handled well and the contractors they had were crappy.

Plumbers were readily available for service, courteous and knew what they were doing. Explained each step as they worked. Excellent experience. Home Serve recognized our concern with our water heater leak flowing, and, shut-off to tank frozen. Initially, customer service refereed us to a plumbing contractor who gave us a three day response over the weekend. After contacting Home Serve customer service again, they ensured we were connected to a plumber who came out within an hour and completed the needed water shut off, and, replacement of our water heater within about 2 hours. We are very pleased with their responsiveness, professionalism, and our experience with Home Serve!

My water bill for 1 person has been 100 a month. A friend is living there, but he works. No one can wait 4 hrs for Home Serve so I gave them his no. He works close to the house. They notified him they were on the way. He got no other correspondence from you.. You gotta do better than this. You have his number for **. Must coordinate with him although I don't know why you'd need anyone to be there. All other companies are reasonable with their time. These 4 hr windows went out of vogue 20 yrs ago. You can do your work outside + if needed then contact him if you need him there to check in the house. Thank you!
