Found me the perfect contractor. I don’t think I would have found who I used on my own. The ratings by previous reviews was a great help. I am very happy that this service is available as compared to what I used in the past. Will use them again in the future.

I used the service tech recommended by HomeAdvisor and was more than pleased with the successful result. Kevin was professional, thorough, helpful, and pleasant. He answered my questions, and explained each step as he worked on finding out why the tub would not drain completely during the spin cycle. Works a treat now!

Generally they are very good. HA follows up and I think they do a very good job. I like that you can get reviews. I prefer to develop a "working" relationship with a contractor. I use Home Advisor when I can't go to my existing contacts or have had it with a contractor due to no communications, lack of basic response or quoting high prices. The only complaint I have is the real fast response guys at HA I have found to be expensive, not always, but enough times. Then you are kind of wasting your time showing them what you want done. The attitude on quoting seems to sometimes be, toss enough high quotes against the wall and if it sticks I do real good. Not for me. I want a reasonable fair price out of the gate. I don't let them "go fishing" so they can then adjust what the high quote originally was. Quote your best price.

The website works well and connects me with the contractors. The quotes are not always accurate. HomeAdvisor follows up to make sure the jobs were complete. In the future, I hope they have more contractors to choose from to get better pricing.

Fast, reliable service. All agents we talked to were friendly, respectful & not pushy. The info on the companies was very useful. HomeAdvisor had good follow through. The reps of the companies they referred us to were just the kind of people you want to work with.

HomeAdvisor was very easy to negotiate and gave multiple choices of providers. The service people did exactly what they said they would do. They were polite and knowledgeable. Garage door repair: Went to website and immediately got several vendor options. Read the list, selected a vendor, and made a request. Almost immediately I got a confirmation. The vendor called before the appointed time and arrived on time. The repair was completed satisfactorily and the entire Home Advisory process was easy, efficient, and effective.

My only suggestion would be to include questions that would identify a job as being small and therefore not require me to speak with contractors who wouldn't take a small job.

I also love how much HomeAdvisor encourages feedback -- it knows it cannot help and perform its service without freely flowing feedback.

Lynoko Garage door repair - Replaced Garage door torsion bars on a 18 Ft by 8 ft garage door. Showed up on time, answered all my questions and did a professional job for a fair price. Made good recommendations on upgrading garage door components with a five year warranty on all new parts.

The contractors recommended were of professional in their quotes. Home Advisor performed its function very effectively. I would certainly use them again for any of my future projects. This is my third project using them and they have provided sound advice

HomeAdvisor sent Kings Chimney to my home. Kings told me I needed a new chimney cap and I paid them $500. They took my money, never returned, and I later learned from another company that I already had a chimney cap. When I informed Home Advisor about the scammer stealing from customers, they continue to give out this company as a referral. STAY AWAY FROM HOME ADVISOR UNLESS YOU WANT CRIMINALS COMING TO YOUR HOME. Kings Chimney are con artist, thieves, scammers, and liars and they focus on seniors. Home Advisor will send these criminals to your home.

I have been able to complete numerous projects on my to do list through the outstanding service providers that I have found at this site. I never would have found them otherwise. The prices were outstanding and the completion of the projects most timely!

The city inspector also said that it was a very professional looking and installed job. We plan to have them add a second heat pump unit within a month or so. Impressed with first job. The installation looks very nice and works very well.

Home Advisor suggested 3 local companies to submit my inquiries to. One company contacted me the same day to set up a site visit the following day. That company gave an excellent quote and I hired them. The second of the three companies called me about 4 days letter and left a message on my machine. The third company Home Advisor referred me to never contacted me (that reflects on them, not Home Advisor).

Additionally, many of the pros will call me within minutes or hours of my request, which gets the project rolling quickly instead of dragging out for weeks. In the early morning hours, we woke up to a leaking pipe in the ceiling. We tried multiple plumbing service numbers and HomeAdvisor as well. The end results were positive and we were able to get the help we needed through HomeAdvisor. However, the emergency service did not provide us with results until regular business hours.

I have not had a bad experience with Home Advisor. I do get really concerned about giving my name, phone and address to a website to be broadcast to any number of vendors ~ I would rather see the vendors first rather than them have access to my information! But again I have never had a bad experience so I assume Home Advisor vets their recommendations.

My only issue was that the details I included in my initial request, which included plywood with radiant barrier for the decking, did not make it the contractor who used regular plywood.

First time emergency. 2 time I text them they said pick a day text me the day before & when you're on your, never heard back. Called $25 Plumbing next. They sent Don the next morning & text when they were on there way. I got Don who was on time. He did the job I about 3 1/2hrs. Would highly recommend Don & will request him for any future plumbing problems.

We wanted ground mounted lighting for safety and security at night. We had 9 fixtures total: 5 spots and 4 downward facing lights. Installed using LED bulbs, solar timer for lights to go on, and transformer installed in garage. All wires hidden outside and inside wiring very trim and neat.

Used HomeAdvisor to find a tree removal company to cut down three 15 yr old palm trees and a really tall Yucca plant. The contractor that contacted me first ended up getting the job because the quote was fair and acceptable and he could come out a couple days later. This is the second time I've used HomeAdvisor to find a landscape type of contractor and both times have had an experience that meet all my most optimistic expectations.

API Plumbing arrived within an hour of my call after hours and took care of the leaking and came the next morning to install the much needed replacement for a very old water heater. S&S was a very good company to work with and a very fair price. Home Advisor made a great recommendation. The install was professional and clean up the same. Price was reasonable... especially compared to other gutter systems that would not work as well. The 6" gutters with perforated caps work very well with my fir needle problems.

Roof cleaning - HomeAdvisor recommended 2 companies who both called me within 10 minutes. One company gave me a quote over the phone, the other made an appointment over the phone and gave me a written quote. I actually chose the company that was more expensive, but was impressed with their professionalism of making an appointment with me and giving me a written quote.

They allowed identity theft. After I told them my previous boss was using my information to run HomeAdvisor... they still allowed him to use my information. I am in disbelief... Very upset. They allowed ** to use my name. I am very upset and very angry at the company...

Poor Communication by HomeAdvisor/contractor in setting up initial meeting. HOMEADVISOR email confirmed time and date of meeting. Wasn't told contractor would call to confirm (Missed call). Drove 1 hour to my sons house and no contractor. Called HOMEADVISOR. They couldn't contact contractor, I called contractor and worked things out. Despite communication issue I am very satisfied with the work done.

Had a water leak around the water heater in the garage that was getting steadily worse. Removed the water heater, thinking it was the source of the leak, planning to replace it with a tankless. Found it was not the heater that was leaking. Electrician wired the tankless, but since there was a leak in the wall, needed a plumber ASAP to make the repairs and connect the plumbing to the new heater. Made appointment with the plumber to have repairs made the next morning. Repairs were made efficiently and for a reasonable price.

Almost all of the pros used were great. I had a couple of bad experiences, but I think that was more to do with the Pro than Home Advisor. I'm not sure what the standards for Customer Service are to remain with Home Advisor, but if it's possible, they should get dinged or removed, as some of the Customer Service I've received has been deplorable. Again, this was minimal in comparison to the positive experiences I've had.

It was very easy to find and schedule this company online. They gave me a list of companies to choose from, all of which looked good. I liked that I got a text from HomeAdvisor the day before reminding me of my appointment. Great company!

I was contacted promptly, got an on site quote and scheduled the work. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I received a call from HomeAdvisor as well as emails tracking my progress. The contractor I selected completed the work to my satisfaction both in time and cost.

Contractor had not installed a direct vent tankless water heater at high elevation. Worked with Rheem until the job was done. Came back on Saturday and Sunday to work on job. Final results were very professional. Happy with the work, and they are now Experts on installing Rheem indoor direct vent tankless water heaters at 7200 ft.. :)

Installation of shower door on a snail shower - We are very happy with the job done by All View Custom Glass. The guys were on time and finished within the hour. They did a super clean up job as though they were never here. Their workmanship is excellent. They are friendly, courteous and nice to work with. Their price was within reason and they suggested a few things when they first came to do estimate which really helped. We have a 12 inch door handle. They suggested to go with the big glass blocks and the big snail tile shower, a smaller handle would not look good. They are super guys and know what they are doing and do it very WELL. They even wrote on our contract a 3 yr warranty in case anything crops up we can call them, this is super! Thanks so much guys for the SUPER job.
