HomeAdvisor does the research so I know each provider is appropriately licensed and insured. Each provider I've hired has responded promptly, given accurate advice, fair pricing and excellent service. I've had tree trimming and rodent removals completed. I'm comfortable using Home Advisor as my resource to find local professionals.

HomeAdvisor provided three excellent companies for us to work with. All called immediately, scheduled around us (a weekend) and were early or on time for appointments. Very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. This is a great service, and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to family/friends.

Had a leak in the laundry room causing a small flood. I called and was able to reach someone who sent someone over in the same day. Once there they were quickly able to determine and fix the issue. No more leaks.

HomeAdvisor offered little help when assistance was needed. Purely, a third party that added little/no benefit. Could have called Best Buy directly and gotten same service and had a point of contact within Best Buy. Not the performance that I had hoped for.

We are a daycare and when we need jobs done we need to be able to have them done quickly and professionally and HomeAdvisor helped with that. It take time to Google companies to fit our needs and with Home Advisor does the research for you which makes my job much easier.

There were 2 GEEKS. One was extremely knowledgeable, and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it before and during the work. The other was very nice, but less experienced and had to get assistance from the first GEEK. But the whole experience was positive. I now have 2 TVs and sound systems that work perfectly.

This is the first time I have used HomeAdvisor. I found it extremely easy to use, informative about the service I was interested in using, and good recommendations for companies that accomplish the duct cleaning I needed. The contractor I used in the end couldn't have done a better job.

I was most satisfied with the paint job of my 3-room apartment. The employees came on time each morning and continued working diligently throughout the day. This is a great place to go to find businesses that do the work you want done. I normally receive several suggestions and then get contacted by the businesses in a very timely manner. In one instance, I received a call from a representative from HomeAdvisor when I could not locate the category that I was looking for. She was able to find me several contacts who did brick pointing in my area. I contacted two of them and selected one who did the work and I was very pleased.

HomeAdvisor found me a local professional plumber within a couple of minutes after logging on to their website. I answered a few questions regarding the problem I was experiencing and was hooked up with VIP Maintenance out of Cheektowaga NY VERY quickly. Very satisfied with HomeAdvisor AND VIP Maintenance and will no doubt use them again in for any plumbing problems/future projects!

The project cost more than I expected, but new panel box and breakers plus 8/2 wire about 100 ft added to the expense of the project. Thus the price was higher and although it could not be helped with all the work that needed to be done, I am somewhat amazed at how little the cost really was.

They cut down a huge pine tree in my yard, it had become dangerous and needed to go! They were very fast, knowledgeable, and professional. They had the tree down and cleared off in less than an hour! I will be using them again. They really know what they are doing!

Air Temp Solutions called me first - never heard from anyone else. Arranged for service call and came out either same day, or day after they had called me. Very professional. Even called me, to tell me that the tech was 30 min out. On time and the tech was very knowledgeable. We had to upsize an expansion tank due to improper sizing by the original installer - Rays and Sons (DE.). Several other issues were also handled by the tech. SUPER WORK!

Be careful! If you don't want to be contacted by numerous contractors, use another site. Thankfully, I got immediate replies from several companies eager to give an estimate. Finally, we hired One Window At A Time. Bruce and his crew are excellent. Read the reviews and you won't be disappointed.

Job was to paint Master Bedroom/Bathroom, Kitchen/Dining, Living Room, Hallway, 2nd Bathroom, Doors, and All ceilings in the rooms, trim painting, minor repairs of holes and cracks. The painters were very considerate of my wife and her disabilities. The contractor was very accommodating to her needs while accomplishing the job.

If they use fake phone numbers, their business is probably deceptive too. I would strongly recommend to stay away from this company.

Overall I am happy with the fence except two spots, I think that the installer should of asked the question prior to installing the one section. They left a mess that I had to clean up in my driveway where the concrete was delivered, bricks, pieces of wood left throughout my yard.

Sink was separating from quartz counter and needed additional support. Gap created was over an inch. Heavy duty brackets were installed in the front and back and sink was re-caulked all around the entire sink. Very professional job completed by the repair person.

POOL LINER - The price was reasonable, the customer service could have been much better at the office. My wife and I felt a bit uncomfortable with the treatment during our service request. The field employee were very helpful and knowledgeable in their trade. They did a great job and completed it quickly, we had water delivered the next day.

I've gotten very great professionals through HomeAdvisor. It's nice being able to find several qualified options in one trusted place. It makes the whole process of getting something done so much easier and takes out a huge headache from the project!

The technician arrived on time and found the problem quickly. Fixed it and was on his way in under an hour. Considering it was mid-day on Sunday, made the experience all the more sweeter.

Gas oven repair - Tech worked me in his schedule, came when he said he would and verified the problem. After checking all components of the oven and confirming my suspicions of the main control board, he let me order and install the part myself, without throwing more money away in good parts.

Will begin with the fact that I received three recommendations. Ramesh (who lives the farthest away) was the only one to contact me. Within ten minutes, no less. Showed up, gave an excellent appraisal, hired on the spot. He arrived promptly on day of service, worked quietly and cleanly, AND came back the next day (at no charge) because he wanted to use a different colored grout in one of the areas (he didn't feel the one he had used was appropriate).

Within minutes of contacting Angie's List regarding a home inspection we were able to schedule the service we wanted. Contacts were courteous and professional. Work done and completed on time. Informative and easy service to use. Felt very comfortable knowing Angie's List had done all the checking that licensing and background checks were current.

Received two listings for carpet cleaning companies in my area immediately. Within 15 minutes received a response from one of the companies listed and booked with them. Easy process and very effective tool in finding expert workers. Response time of professional was immediate upon submission. Would use HomeAdvisor again for future projects and recommend others to use them as well. HomeAdvisor is a free tool and certainly simplifies helping one to get there To Do List done.

I am now aware that the company lists vendors that may or may not be competent. I am also aware that I chose a vendor who did not follow the terms of the written contract. There was breach and consumer misconduct. Part of the misconduct was proven in writing and part was evident on voicemails. All of this as forwarded to HomeAdvisor along a negative review written. You must be aware that HomeAdvisor may not discontinue advertising with a vendor even if your complaint is legitimate and can be proven. Their response is that they look for a trend. This is fine in most cases however where dishonesty is involved, it is not. Especially when that can be proven. They will not help negotiate matters, which was unclear to me when I chose to use them.

Needed help unclogging kitchen drain and unjamming disposal; they were the only company that contacted me and set an appointment - they were punctual and had a confident attitude in servicing the stopped drain. They offered payment by cash or check.

Saturday morning I requested a quote for countertop repair. Within a couple of hours I received a call from Chad at A to Z Remodeling Inc. He arrived a little later, reviewed the damage, provided the quote and we arranged for the work to be accomplished the following Thursday. The damaged surface was replaced within a couple of hours on Thursday as planned. Chad and Bob did a very nice job for a reasonable price. I would be happy to use A to Z again.

I do like the option of providing several businesses to choose from. I also like the fact that I was contacted quickly by someone in my area.

We needed someone to come in and do a deep clean in a couple of rooms in preparation for my son to come home from the hospital after having surgery. I could not have asked for more. I arranged this for my son and daughter in law. I don’t live here and was just visiting.

Great guys, worked fast and efficiently and cleaned up after they were done. They came last week to diagnose the problem, determined that the motor was shot. Ordered a new Central Vac machine and came back and installed it. I would highly recommend them.
