Very fast, I only heard from one source, the first and only electrician to call/contact me. However, the contact who called me was knowledgeable, provided guidance that did not cost and more money. It would have been nice to have more than 1 bid. I went with the electrician who HomeAdvisor connected me with and I'm very satisfied with the work completed.

This is my first time using HomeAdvisor because I needed a concrete shed pad for my backyard. They recommended a contractor that had no business license on the name listed on HomeAdvisor. Long story short, I am out $1,200 because they showed up once to ruffle up the grass and cover it with crushed rock. Concrete was never poured. Their number was changed. The address was for a tattoo business. Calling HomeAdvisor to assist me on this unscrupulous contractor is simply a waste of time. They offer to get a hold of the contractor. Good luck when they change their number. HomeAdvisor blatantly leaves this contractor listed on their website for more referrals even after other homeowners have left 1 star reviews of jobs uncompleted. This is the last time I will be using this referral service. Extremely poor vetting process on anybody wanting to create a fake business name to immediately take people's money and disappear.

Very quick and responsive. I was contacted by a professional that was capable and resolved the issue. I live in a remote, rural area and it helps to have this type of service. I have used HomeAdvisor in the past for something entirely different and was equally pleased.

Had a broken glass in my double window in my living room. Shopped around for prices until I found "Home Advisor". They gave me multiple options and it was easier to find what I needed easy and quick. Great prices and great experience overall.

We had two windows that were original to the house when it was built in 1981. Both needed to be replaced. The new windows were installed and look wonderful. The installation itself was incredibly clean. Everything was cleaned up when they were done and the windows were spotless. They made the front of the house look wonderful.

HomeAdvisor essentially pushed Hiller on me for my electric project, even though others were rated higher. HomeAdvisor called me and connected me to Hiller. Hiller tech was almost two hours late and charged a lot for the job. I would never consult HomeAdvisor again or use Hiller.

Never had this done before. Was highly satisfied with who I hired. Second choice never showed for a quote, said they'd call back and didn't. I didn't know it was HomeAdvisor when I called this Tree Trimmer, found out later.

Yesterday I needed plumbing and electrical repairs. I immediately received two very good referrals and was able to schedule plumbing repairs for today and electrical for tomorrow. Always excellent service from companies recommended by HomeAdvisor. The site offers a lot of information about the affiliated companies. I can find very good local professionals fast and am always confident that I will get the repairs done immediate and properly, with warranty.

I was nervous about filling out my info and being harassed by phone calls and emails. Instead I received a phone call and a follow email, the calls I received within 15 mins were from companies I recognized. All I had to do was make appointments. I have 3 other projects I will be using Home Advisor for.

Bug and rodent treatment. Service was friendly, on time, and thorough. They (Ouachita Termite and Pest Control) offered me what I wanted, single treatments rather than monthly contract. I rate them 5 star and will call them again if the need arises. I am glad I used HomeAdvisor.

We’re very helpful when I called... They call Plumbing Co up and had them call me. Also gave me their phone # so I could talk with them on my own. I would recommend this Co. to all my friends for any honest repairs. Anthony Plumbing was a great Co. also.

I found a window company on HomeAdvisor, company is Precision Green representing PlyGen windows. The guy met with me, we did a contract and 5 windows were installed. I paid as installation occurred then he requested a $3283.50 deposit for the next set of windows. When he never called to confirm the next round of installation I called him and he claimed he had to let his installer go. From that point on he never responded to my voicemails, never returned my money and never completed the job. I want to sue HOMEADVISOR - any attorneys taking them on for the consumers?

We have looked for references from HomeAdvisor twice in the past 5 weeks, and have been very pleased with the response and quality of work. The trades have called quickly and the follow-up has been excellent both on the part of HomeAdvisors, and the trades.

Required plumbing repairs under the kitchen sink with the issue being bad drainage and leaking under the sink. And was put in touch with a company that undertook the project the very next day and was very satisfied with the communication and quality of repair. Technician was on time and performed the project with good communication. Would utilize the service again in the future on any project or repairs. Highly recommended.

I was contacted within 30 minutes of my requesting additional information online on a Sunday. I was so impressed by that action alone. My appointment was made for the very next day for a consultation of what work needed to be done and what the cost would be. Pure Defense Pest Solutions is a Polite and Professional pest control service. They Came out as scheduled and sprayed the outside and inside of my residence. Pure Defense uses a contract so you must cancel within 30 days if you don't want the contract to renew. They also guarantee their work and will come back out if needed. I haven't had to do that. All I know is I don't see anymore wasp.

So far so good. I got a great company to come do some odd jobs around my house. I was a bit concerned when I saw the service I used had three bad reviews. I inquired with the office lady and I am glad I gave them a try and they really impressed me from the initial call to the finish jobs they did for me.

Wow!! Just a great company that KNOWS hot tubs. They managed to replace bad parts (the heater, ozonator and other parts), clean up a mess, refill and reset the entire system in ONE AFTERNOON. They didn't leave until they were satisfied that everything was working properly. They are now our regular service company!

Scam from the beginning, from a contractor's view. Charles was salesman, said I would have "area exclusivity" so I wouldn't be competing against everyone. I was to receive "great" referrals. I thought I'd give it a try. That call cost me $350. Within minutes, a lady called and started talking all about her bathroom pipes and I could tell the call was going to take quite a while. I was right in the middle of a job holding a beam. I apologized and said I would need to call her back very shortly. Within an hour, I called her back and she said she had already gotten someone else and was taken care of. ENLIGHTENMENT... in this small, mountain community, if she had another contractor already, there is OBVIOUSLY NO EXCLUSIVITY!

I'm still learning the processes and navigation of the website. There are some aspects of the site that are somewhat mysterious. I do appreciate the prompt response, by both HomeAdvisor and by the contractors. The live-chat feature is a bit difficult to operate -- they don't seem to be very patient with those of us who are less technologically adept.

Helpful place to locate a contractor. Enjoyed the experience and most importantly, it was a success. Yes, there were some concerns. Too few companies have websites or a Facebook presence, so obtaining more insight was a challenge. Two contractors never responded. There was a big range to the quotes: High bidder's estimate was three times that of the low bidder.

I've only used HomeAdvisor once but I found a great roofer on my first attempt. I was completely surprised that someone could come and do the job so quickly and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this service and will be using it again the next time I need a contractor at home.

This outside pump was making noises never before experienced. Daniel remedied the problem (apparently something lodged in the outtake pipe or float). Checked it repeatedly to make sure it was cleared. I would certainly recommend this company, Armor to anyone. Very responsive and very reasonable.

Paint exterior of house. Replaced all rotten wood trims, pressure washed and paint all wooden materials. Sand and paint metal railings. Work was done in a timely manner and supervisor was very pleasant and easy to work with. He was very understanding when anything was brought to his attention in terms of work that needed to be completed or finished.

Repairs were done to my porch railings (3 porches) and made ready for painting. The repairs were done in a fair amount of time with no problems with his equipment and supplies. Having the right equipment saves time and make the job done right.

Upon notice of project to be done, I received some quick responses from vendors and some more delayed. HomeAdvisor provides some vendor review for vendor essentials but the customer must do their due diligence. Home Advisor does follow-up on the status of your project.

Better site than several others I looked at. Looking for concrete driveway, this site only gave me 3 viable names, one was not local. There are 30+ local companies of various sizes. Another site gave two concrete driveway references, 2 asphalt installers, a couple of roofers and other "services" that had no relevance to my project.

K & K ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE, is a great service for customers to use. And the guy who came to our house helped us very much with his great team! They helped us with our basement and were able to live in our house again and we appreciate it.

Kitchen sink will not drain. Plumber found pipes clogged with sludge. He worked for hours to unclog the sinks. I've had a plumber here before but Winston went the extra mile to fix my problem. Roof Coating - I was surprised how quick I was getting contractors calling me. With the first set of 3 and the second. It was nice having so many options all in one place. This meant I did not have to go searching all over the place.

HomeAdvisor promised the world. Delivered negative value. Their system is designed to funnel every person to you regardless if you can actually help them or not. I finally had to shut off the system because it was generating so many irrelevant projects it was taking too much time, and charging $18 per call. Be warned. There are better options out there.

Replace water distributing pump - Excellent communication with the company & good work but expensive as we could have bought the parts online & have hired a plumber for labor at a lesser cost. I do not know the going rate per hour but it was unreasonable.

HomeAdvisor provides a decent resource for the average homeowner and though they provided information on and the ability to contact multiple providers, some of those providers do not respond, though this is out of Home Advisor's control. There should be a better feedback mechanism for these providers.

I don't like the fact that they basically make you schedule an appointment instead of giving you the information on at least 3 contractors to do the work. The whole system is extremely confusing and not at all user friendly.

The Air conditioner wasn't turning on and especially on the past hot days - we all suffered in our home. I called that night and Phil immediately called me back and I scheduled an appointment for the following day. The mechanic came the next day and fixed the issue. Very courtesy and they knew what they were doing. I will definitely use them again in the future.

A very pleasant experience with Willie's Home Improvements. Decided not to have the cabinets done yet, but had a painting job (3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) done. Willie's Home Improvements did a GREAT job. He was very professional. He was reliable and on time. They cleaned up after the job was complete.

We had previously called another company to repair our AC and they said they couldn't get here for over a week. With temperatures projecting in the mid-nineties for the next week, I felt this was unacceptable. HomeAdvisor was able to put me in contact with Josh ** of Brozwood Mechanical and he was here the next day and had my AC back up and running within 30 minutes of his arrival. I will certainly use your service for futures problems.

Would highly recommend anything electric. Great customer service and got it done within one day of calling! Really can't beat that sort of response time. Especially since another contractor said it would take over a week to get to the house to do it.

Wallpaper border removal - Chris is on time, works fast and does quality work. He does something most workers will not do and that is he cleaned the work site after the job was done. I had a horrible mess with border that was stuck to the paint on my sheetrock. He worked patiently enough to remove it without drywall damage. He filled in the dings with mud and sanded. He has a keen eye for detail. I would highly recommend him. Also I am extremely impress with HomeAdvisor. Their follow through is off the charts. HomeAdvisor rocks!

The stars don't represent my complete experience with HomeAdvisor, but I had to average them out. I have gotten excellent pros for snowplowing and tree trimming, for plumbing and a new hot water heater, for a new furnace. However, the general contractor I got from Home Advisor has been a complete and utter disaster (and that's being polite).

For a first time user the experience was better than expected. After putting out a request for a quote a designer contacted me within minutes. We set up a meeting and were able to proceed with project. The project was completed and are very happy with the results.

Provided a list of contract workers or business to choose from. Not all replied. Some replied initially, but then did not follow up. I would prefer that the list keep within a certain radius if so indicated. I will use this web site again, but will also use another to find contract workers or business to hire.

I didn't hire the fencing pro, but I'm sure he would have been good. A friend suggested someone, who I ultimately hired for that job. The grading work was done by another friend as well. However, I will always look to HomeAdvisor for their recommendations on Pros, as they have never steered me wrong.

Lightning Rod system installed. HomeAdvisor provided a list of several companies to choose from. They followed up on every job. I was able to speak to a HA representative quickly when I had some questions. HomeAdvisor is a great way to find a solution to every home related job you might have.

The recommended company, Premier Appliance Repair, was reliable, honest with fair pricing. Jay the technician who repaired my dishwasher was very knowledgeable, professional and knew, just by listening what the problem was. He explained how to avoid a similar situation. Would use them again.

Window washing - The service was fabulous. They were fast, professional and complete. They were done in about three quarters of an hour and everything looked great. The service was well worth the price and it was a great value. I highly recommend them without any reservations.

I initially called HomeAdvisor over the Memorial Day weekend with a kitchen flooding problem with my sink drain. HomeAdvisor could not seem to find someone to help, so I called an outside vendor. They did not seem to fix the problem and I called HomeAdvisor this week to get someone out to fix it. They did come out on time and fixed the issue. The only concern I had was that the initial call to HomeAdvisor did not have anyone available the first time. In the end, I paid twice before the problem was fixed. The plumbing issue was an emergency because my kitchen was being flooded 4 times in 2 days.

Called one - they came out and tried but a company policy prevented them from going on roof to complete job. Called 2nd HomeAdvisor recommendation and all went well dealing with a very responsive company - Grand Rooter in Miramar Florida.

Window Glass Replacement - I just filled it on HomeAdvisor site then I got the call with few minutes on the middle of the week end. I then scheduled it and it got fixed within a couple of days. It was all easy and fast.

As a professional I would advise that HomeAdvisor is a scam. They do not provide legitimate leads and when trying to opt to cancel membership they refused. Instead they advise that they can only suspend membership for a duration of time. I only finally got them to cancel my membership after a large sum was taken out of my bank account without authorization. The HomeAdvisor group refused to compensate me and I have been forced to file a dispute.

Sprinkler would loose pressure and water bill well over $150. Leak but no ground evidence. E&R knew what they were doing and located issue and fixed. Fast response, fast fix, and great service. They also do lawn care and are very good at their job. Would call them for sure with any other lawn issues.
