Great value, good work. Honest manager. Mike is great to work with. I recommended him to my neighbor and he completed her job before he finished mine. I realize he was giving me a bargain price, as I am older and retired. He has a very good heart, but it took too long to complete. I was having another project started and that had to be delayed. (Several other projects were on hold until the deck was done.) Overall, I am very happy with the deck and the work.

I contacted several companies that were recommended and one of them worked out great. They did a great job, their price was fair and had a good overall experience with the customer service, etc. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

We are selling our house in Pasadena and needed an electrician to do some electrical work and he was the one. He came in and checked everything out and repaired what was needed. Excellent work, pricing reasonable, friendly, very knowledgeable. He was very polite and explained what was needed and did not over charge. If you need an electrician he is the one.

I am so grateful to HomeAdvisor. Before I found your site, I ended up with contractors that took advantage of me, for years. Avenue Outdoors (John) is THE BEST HomeAdvisor lawn company. My husband had third heart attack and bought new lawnmower. Wanted to mow lawn in 98 degree weather. The lawn had not been mowed, edged, weed/trimmed anything in awhile. I called Avenue Outdoors (John) this past Friday afternoon and got John right away. He offered to come that same day Friday after my work at 5PM in the heat and traffic. He also offered that he could meet Saturday morning and asked which was best for me. I said Saturday morning, would be best and if I was ok with everything , he would complete the mowing job. He kept in touch and let me know he was on his way.

My husband owns his own business. He recently purchased a subscription with Homeadvisor.com to get new leads. You are allowed to turn on and off your leads when you know you will be too busy to deal with them. This weekend he turned it off, but sure enough he got a lead at 1 am. Right after the sales rep closed the deal with my husband, he started getting leads in other counties. We live in San Diego. He got a lead in San Bernardino. That is hours away from us. He called and the customer service people said that the sales rep just forgot to narrow down the geography.

I was furnished with several choices of companies to perform the work (Update the service entrance cable and electrical panel) and the ones that I selected kept their promised appointments to look at the work to be done and provided detailed quotes for the work.

One time the estimate was too high however I was able to choose another company and got the price to a point I could afford. Back in March I used HomeAdvisor to find a contractor to replace our T1-11 siding. We decided to go with A1 contracting out of Bangor PA. We paid a $6,000 deposit and the work was never started. We contacted HomeAdvisor and they were absolutely no help. They at first send an email to the company asking for them to contact you. You're then asked to call back and they begin their "research" of the company. If this doesn't work, you have no recourse. They do not stand by these businesses that they are recommending. After calling the police, I found out that the man who did our estimate is in jail and A1 contracting is going out of business. DO NOT USE HOMEADVISOR. You are better off finding a professional on your own.

HomeAdvisor was the answer to a prayer. Attempting to update a mid-century condo in a new city with a very short time frame was daunting. Reached out to Home Advisor with a request for counter installation and within minutes had an appointment with a contractor for the next day. The contractor had a team of master craftsmen who were also able to paint and install new cabinets and lighting. Entire project was completed in 10 days. The transformation is amazing!

I found out today a company was using my company name and I was alerted by a customer. Factory Direct patio Covers Inc. belongs to me and HomeAdvisor has created a profile and has advertised this company as business that is using my name of corporation and my reputation. Please show everyone that HomeAdvisor does not screen companies' records or their reputation. My company is located in the same area that these people are doing business in my name. Please Beware of HomeAdvisor.

Concrete contractor was a hassle to work with. I had to constantly remind them of what we wanted. Language problem with them and the deck and stain people. Communication was a real problem. We chose people with good reviews and were unsure how they got such glowing reviews. Good up front to get the job, then showed up whenever.

My call was immediately returned and followed by a next day appointment. The service was by an active licensed contractor of the CA Board of Licensed Contractors. Professionalism, superior workmanship, time, and affordable cost were exemplary. The door problem was quickly resolved and once again a door functioning like brand new.

Received three contacts shortly after inquiry. All three were available within a couple days. Got estimates from these three plus another recommended by a family member. Core Exteriors was the last quote and we opted to go with them based on quality of product, professionalism of salesman and availability for installation. Very satisfied with experience with HomeAdvisor and will definitely use again when we have need for home projects!

Site was easy to navigate and I really like the customer reviews on the businesses. It makes picking the pro you want much easier. The only part that I didn't care for was the appointment making process. I scheduled through the site but was unclear on what to do after that. I called the business and there was nothing available at that time so I had to reschedule. That new schedule was never updated in here and the site cancelled my appointment on me. I had to call the business to get it clarified. I had also got ahold of a second pro (Ray Lusk Plumbing) that was able to get out sooner. I could not find a place in the site to put that I used them instead of the first one I made an appointment with.

I have now used HomeAdvisor to find contractors to do critical electrical work and provide other services for my 1907 home. All three contractors were very professional, upfront, meticulous, did great work, and completed it on time! Most important, they were all very friendly and helpful. I am very grateful to the friend who steered me to HomeAdvisor.

Shower cleaning, caulking, and sealing. Great job at a reasonable price. The technician explained what he would do, was very polite, and did everything needed to make my showers look like new. It took 4 hours, which was well worth the time. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I received two calls for appointments to bid the project (tree removal) within 24 hours of posting my job. Both referrals were professional in their contact with us. We decided on the lower bid and signed a contract. We were having other repairs done on the house at the time so asked that they wait until he was finished. When I contacted them to schedule the job, they were very prompt.

Carolina Cleaning is apparently a consortium of independent cleaners which I found out when I paid the ladies. HA should probably mention that in their presentation.

I had a few outlets that needed troubleshooting; however primarily, I had installed an access to the attic and needed wiring moved out of the way in order to install insulation and finish constructing storage area in the attic. I also had a fan that needed somewhat repaired. I received a call within minutes of filling out a questionnaire. Shumake came next day and looked at what I needed done and within hours it was complete. I am very pleased with what was done. Shumake cleaned up their mess even though I said it wasn't necessary.

HomeAdvisor took sign up money 374.00 for sign up then told me I don't qualify for their service because I use subcontractors and would give me a refund. No refund to this day now 9 weeks later. Don't sign up with them they're full of **.

The first contact was from a garage door repair company who informed me that they would not do work on windows. From a second request to HomeAdvisor, a glass and door company replied and set an appointment for 10 am next morning. Approximately 45 minutes after the appointment No One showed up. In trying to call the number for the company I was routed to a voice mail from HomeAdvisor. I called HomeAdvisor and asked to contact the contractor. I was "patched through to the contractor," but he could not hear me.

Washing machine empties into drain that tees into rinse tub drain. Clog was beyond where I could reach with drain opener or my small drain auger! Made the laundry unusable!! I called HomeAdvisor and the recommended Michigan Plumbing Drain Service. I called them and they sent an crew the same day. They came in and surveyed the problem, gave me a quote and I okayed it. They got their gear and proceeded to unclog the drain. A half hour later the drain was running free and clear!!

I hired Advanced Granite Solutions (AGS) to install my new "Black Galaxy" granite countertops. The results of the install were fabulous!!! They worked with me and I couldn't be more happier with the result. The only issue that I had with the job, was that they came at the end of the service window. This caused a delay in them getting to work of installing the countertops, but also a delay in when the plumber could come and reinstall my water. Overall, I am very impressed with the work and I would recommend AGS to install granite countertops.

My fence line was overgrown and needed cleaned up. KC Lawn Enforcement came out and did the work for me. They cut out small trees, pruned limbs back, tore out all the weeds and rake up all the leaves. The yard looks better thank I could have dreamed.

Stetzel Roofing & Slate Repair: LeRoy Stetzel and daughter, Jen recently repaired my 80 year old Slate Roof. I had been told many times by local roofers that I needed a new roof as Slate could not be repaired. Not True! The Stetzels gave me quality work with reasonable prices. They were very personable, accommodating and aimed to please. (They also cleaned and repaired my gutters.) They cleaned up the area before they left and I would not hesitate to call them again. I would highly recommend them for any type of roof work.

Homeadvisor saved me the time to have to find a reputable person to do the job. The only thing I do not like is that some of the people recommended by HomeAdvisor would call to confirm the appointment for an estimate and then try to say right before you confirm that there is a charge $$ for them to come out for the "free" estimate. If they charge for estimates it should be clearly stated in the profile. I personally would never pay for an estimate because if they can't afford to come out and give you a free estimate how are they going to use and buy the best materials for your job :o).

I found HomeAdvisor by accident while searching online for someone that made lawn irrigation repairs. I called a phone number I thought was a company that turned out to be HomeAdvisor. I have never used this service and have noticed several television commercials since. This is great. I now have access many services for my home. I will tell other people I know of my satisfying experience with HomeAdvisor.

I wrote HA informing them that a business listed on their site was including false information (advertising that they were BBB accredited, when BBB lists them as NOT accredited) in their business landing page. The response I received was that "we cannot make changes to a business' profile, so you will have to contact the business to discuss this." HA business model is to "connect homeowners with PRESCREENED, local service professionals to complete home improvement, maintenance and remodeling projects." If they not only don't truly prescreen (if they had this would have been an obvious error) and they won't correct a knowingly false/misleading advertisement on the website, their services are useless.

I've used HomeAdvisor for Fence Installation Recommendations/Quotes and Gutter Cleaning. The reviews seem to match the level of service... which is out of HomeAdvisor's hands. The process is easy enough. The only annoyance so far is one gutter cleaning company keeps sending me emails for gutter replacements and what not... which is not what I wanted. Tweaking my spam folder will handle that nuisance.

I have now contracted with 3 persons whose names and services I retrieved thru HomeAdvisor and would recommend all three of them. I will contact HomeAdvisor and probably contact the next time I am looking for help with my home.

I hired Jeff ** of JSN Restoration & Remodeling to perform construction work related to the safety of my family based upon a 5 star rating from HomeAdvisor. HomeAdvisor recommended JSN Restoration & Remodeling for my work project. Jeff ** and I agreed upon a work proposal that he presented to me. I had to wait for a month before he could start the job, he told me. The day before the job was scheduled to be done, Jeff ** called me up and cancelled the job. He told me he was going out of town on family business and would get back to me the following week. He also told me that he would have his subcontractors call me to schedule the work he agreed to perform. Jeff ** never contacted me again, his subcontractors never contacted me and I was left holding the bag with a viga beam that supported my roof cracking and in jeopardy of collapsing, potentially causing injury or worse to my family and anyone visiting my home.

I submitted my request to HomeAdvisor website very easily and was contacted that day by multiple contractors. I had 3 quotes within a couple of hours. HomeAdvisor made it very easy to hire someone quickly. Also, having multiple quotes allowed me to find the best price for the job.

I had a bad experience with a contractor recommended by HomeAdvisor. In fairness I used them two other times with excellent results. The negative review I submitted to HomeAdvisor was rejected, in spite of my submitting documentation they requested. The positive reviews I submitted were published without delay. My advice is to take their ratings with a grain of salt, as they reject negative reviews.

I have used HomeAdvisor many times over the years and they have provided me with excellent contractors to do the jobs (repairs/maintenance) that I needed!! Landscaping, Electrical, Windows, Plumbing, etc. Rather than go to the phonebook or internet - start and end with Home Advisor.

I used WP landscaping to cut my grass, edge, and weed whack. They did an awful job. When I complained they came back out to “fix” the issue but it ended up looking the same. They did not answer my next email or return a phone call. They never came back to do my lawn. I had to hire another company. Very unprofessional.

They are professional, and very helpful. I like the fact you can look over the companies and decide who you would like to hear from. They follow up with you to make sure you were happy with the service. Nothing negative to report. Will use them again.

Replaced sink. Put in soap dispenser and instant hot water dispenser. Moved all drains to fit new sink. Work was done perfectly and my kitchen was left as clean as when plumber arrived. Could not have been happier with this installation.

Power Washing Home Siding: Dan arrived on time, we walked around the house so I could show him what areas were being done. He and his helper worked quickly but not hurriedly, and finished up in two hours and cleaned up after themselves. My house looks nice and clean again! Dan also recommended some roof cleaning work, but was not pushy about it. I will probably look into that at a later date. I will definitely use his services again.

I have been pleased with HomeAdvisor. Have used it twice. Once for appliance repairs and once for tree removal services. I like that the professionals call or contact me quickly and seem to want my business but are not pushy. Removing two big dead trees (cottonwood) at edge of property. Some thick branches hanging over plastic fence. Yeary Tree service crew did absolutely fabulous job, safely and fast. Excellent clean up after. Very satisfied and will highly recommend to anyone.

You recommended 4 companies. Two called me immediately AdvantaClean and Air Specialties. They scheduled appointments to make estimates. They both explained the process of mold removal but the process explained by Air Specialties was much more thorough and was guaranteed. I called Insta Dri for an estimate. They were going to spray a chemical throughout the house which would kill everything mole, viruses, bacteria etc. That did not make sense. I would recommend that you remove them from the list. I am very happy with the work by Air Specialties.

Had to find a tree service to remove a large tree damaged from a storm. HomeAdvisor provided an efficient process at finding a local company that was able to come in quickly - and at a fair price - and complete the job.

Dao Construction is not the most punctual bunch but they certainly make up for it in speed, quality, neatness and accuracy in detail. They only took a little less than two days to install 560 ft of flooring and underlayment after ripping out the old wall to wall. Once the new flooring was down, they replaced all of the baseboards with hardwood and it looks incredible. The crew was extremely polite, was mindful of the neighbors and worked well with the condo association office. I was concerned because I was going entirely on HomeAdvisor's Recommendations and did not actually know anyone that had used them. I WAS VERY HAPPY with the end result and they will be the first ones I call for my next project.

HomeAdvisor put me in almost immediate contact with qualified, professional repair contractors. Results were that repairs were arranged and completed within hours of first contacting HomeAdvisor. Contractor arrived on time and completed the work repair as described. Costs were reasonable for level of work performed.

In addition to the quality of the firms they have all been very timely in providing quotes and have adhered to the promised schedule(s). Based on my experience with HomeAdvisor I would look to them first in trying to identify a contractor.

From the arrival of the company (DM Tree Service) representative to the tree and stump removal, I am very pleased with this company. The work was complete and the yard was neat at the end of the work. Great care was taken to not damage other plants and yard items. The owner called a couple days after the work was completed. Unfortunately, I couldn't be home at the time of the work. I was pleased at what I saw when I got home.

Excellent customer service. I had asked for a partial refund and customer service intervened on my behalf. They were professional and willing to work to secure a partial refund for me when I had a dispute with a vendor. They were professional. Customer service was polite.

Can find experts in almost any area. The limits may be due to the location the service is being requested, smaller towns will have fewer pros. That is normal and shouldn't be used against HomeAdvisor as their service pulls from established pros in the area being requested for the project.

Basement tank removal - I was very pleased with Anchor Bay Services and I am glad they were posted on HomeAdvisor. The price was good and they explained everything to me (including township inspection). They took out the pipe leading to the outside and cemented the opening so no rodents could get into the basement.

Water damaged to ceiling in the kitchen area. I am a house owner and Drywall was replaced and finished with smooth surface by Carlson restoration company. I painted the area with no problems. Project was done very nicely. I should have cover the areas before the project began to avoid dust spreading in the surrounding areas.

HomeAdvisor recommended a service provider who responded within minutes of our inquiry and knocked it out of the park in terms of efficiency, courtesy, and satisfaction. After HomeAdvisor's gave me John **'s contact number I called John ** and made an appointment March 21st. Mr. ** came by the house and gave me an estimate for the job. He said that he required $108.00 deposit. I issued a check for $108.00. We made a 2nd appointment and unfortunately I was not able to make that appointment. We made a 3rd appointment around the 1st week of April. Mr. ** didn't show nor did he call. I called him and he gave me all kinds of excuses. The 4th appointment was scheduled but the same thing happened. He never showed nor call so by this time I wanted my money back. He said he will give it to me and made an appointment for him to drop off the check. He never showed nor did he call.
