I have used HomeAdvisor for many projects. It is a wonderful tool for finding the right professional for all our home projects.

This was the third time we have used HomeAdvisor & have been VERY PLEASED with the companies that we have dealt with as a result of this service.

I am very pleased with your excellent service as I have experienced positive results with the three contractors I have hired to complete 3 different, recent projects over the past two weeks! SO IMPRESSED!! I struggled with keeping my grass area looking good for over two years. First grubs, then fungus, and then watch out crabgrass! I was done!! So... I called Landscape Effects and inquired about having synthetic "real looking" turf installed. We live in a log home and need regular extermination service to prevent damage from wood destroying insects. When we became dissatisfied with our previous contractor after the company was sold to a large national chain, we needed to find another service provider. After contacting another large company and finding their rates higher than we had been paying, we turned to HomeAdvisor to look for more options. The initial questionnaire was thorough and appropriate and we had a response very quickly. I liked the option of deciding whether we wanted to receive calls from interested contractors or just profiles of companies that serve our area. The information provided was exactly what we needed to make our decision (i.e., company profile, current reviews by previous customers, average charges). This was our first contact with HomeAdvisor. It was so easy! We will definitely return to HA next time we need to have work done around our home.

I use HomeAdvisor for all my home projects where I don't know a contractor.

They were fast and quick. No idle time wasted. Very professional. Just make sure you have a re-touch paint just in case they need to do some spackling.

Quickly received 3 recommended companies. One of these provided a reasonable estimate and timely service.

Just a few minutes after submitting a request to HomeAdvisor for contractors for my gas pipe extension project, I had the names of three contractors; I submitted requests for appointments for all three. Within minutes, I received calls and quotes from 2 of the 3 (the 3rd never did contact me). HomeAdvisor contacted me an hour or so later to see if the recommended contractors had contacted me. And they called again later to see if the work had been done and if I was satisfied. I'm very satisfied with the contractor I selected. I recommend HomeAdvisor and will use them again if the need arises.

Forty-one yr old valves to washing machine were suddenly leaking badly. Via a competing agency I called several locally known plumbing services and they wanted way too much money and an organ. Thanks to HomeAdvisor I found the kind of plumber you use to find through a friend or family. His price was very reasonable and his work was perfection. My confidence in the world has been renewed. Btw from the time I call HomeAdvisor and the plumbing job was done was less than 20 hours.

HomeAdvisor gave me three companies in my area and sent my info to them. Only Arnold's Tree Service responded. I called several other tree services to get an idea of the cost. Some made appts. but never showed up. Arnold's was very reliable and cost-efficient.

The crew of 5 from Family Tree Services showed up around 830 am and they carefully moved everything to get to my dead 25' cherry tree in my backyard.that needed removed. They spent about approx. 4.5 hrs on taking the tree down. They also trimmed my linden and my red bud trees in the front thinning them out and making them look lovely again! Very reasonable price!!! Thanks for doing a GREAT job! I will definitely use them again and recommend their service as well!!!

I have used Homeadvisor.com for plumbing work and glass repair. The customer service was excellent and they were very concerned I was provided with the information I needed. I will definitely use again!

I was looking for a plumber who could come the same day to fix two leaking toilets and a dripping shower. They recommended several plumbing companies in the area and one of them was able to come that day and fix my problems. I will definitely use this online service again when looking for home repairs.

As for HomeAdvisor.com, I would have gladly given it 5 stars except for the fact that I had a call for a window estimate that I never completed. For example, for the electricians, if I wanted to set up an appt, I had the choice to do that & get an estimate set up. BUT when I looked up companies for window estimates, that wasn't an option, so I closed it, yet I still got a call from Sears to come out & give us an estimate (that wasted 1.5 hrs of our day as I knew I would never order windows from high priced Sears). My husband claimed he didn't know it was with Sears when he agreed to the appt. There needs to be an option to set up an appt if we want to be contacted by that particular company or opt out if we change our mind and decide not to set up the appt.

I used HomeAdvisor to search for an Electrician, a Heating/Air Conditioning Company, for installation of a Water Heater, and for building a deck. I was very happy with the pros they supplied me with.

This site has proven useless in finding qualified contractors. The property is in a metroplex and I was only contacted by one painter. I am back to searching out contractors on my own.

We feel that we must share with you the most truthful and personally-felt review of a company that deserves your attention when you are seeking tree service. We randomly chose Simpson's Tree Service and it was the best choice we have ever made. The owner and crew truly were the most professional, safety-conscious and superb workers we could ever have had. We had four huge pine trees and one elm tree removed on our property - the crew worked in harmony and safety. They also stump-grind, haul-off and clean all debris from the property in a timely matter. It was fascinating to see such dedication and expertise. They would place the limbs exactly where they wanted them to be without any other disturbance to the property. They cleaned the area after they finished as if they were not even there. We were extremely pleased at their work. You will find them to be a very fair and reputable company.

We utilized the services of A.W. Perkins Hard Surface Restoration and Cleaning. The Perkins provided superb cleaning and same day service. They were OUTSTANDING!

The service this company provided was exceptional. The owner was prompt and courteous. He attempted to fix my previous wireless system to no avail. He then made a suggestion that required no cables under the house. It was a little more expensive, but I no longer have to worry about mice eating through the wires, and the new setup works great!

Great site. Made my decision on contractor's sample. Got some work done at home and with good contractors. The only thing I would change is having contractor's immediate access to your phone number because they call before you make the submission. I would rather make the calls and them not call me.

My air conditioner was not working. The company was prompt, efficient and friendly.

I thought I would try HomeAdvisor to find an A/C repair company in my area. They did recommend a company but when I went to schedule an appointment with the company, they never received a notification and I was never contacted. I ended up having to reach out to the A/C company to schedule an appointment. I then tried to contact HomeAdvisor support to let them know that my request to schedule an appointment never got to the repair company. Other than HomeAdvisor recommending a company, they were not of much help.

Almost immediately after signing up on the website, I received a phone call advising me that there was a plumber available and gave me a number to call. I was very surprised because all the other website did not show any results. We live over 50 miles from the nearest city of any size. I called the number, left a message, and the plumber called me back. I was amazed that this actually worked!

Good choices for projects. All hired professional for 3 projects with no problems and excellent work and fair prices.

I was contacted by sales department of HomeAdvisor soliciting my business several times before I was pressured to try their service. I was told I could cancel anytime within 30 days. The same day I signed up they started charging me for leads I never got. I called them within days of sign up and cancelled their service and they just kept charging me for leads I never received. I faxed, emailed, and called by phone and could not get helped. Beware of this rip off company for bogus leads. Now they have sent my account to collection for stuff I have never received. BAD COMPANY!!!

HomeAdvisor was very easy to use. They found me an Excellent contractor nearby. Highly recommend! The only thing: The phone # listed for the contractor was Really a number for HomeAdvisor. They take your info, then send it to the contractor. That seemed a bit deceptive, but it's how they make a buck off of it. In any case, I recommend them and will use them again.

I've used HomeAdvisor twice in the last week for two separate issues and was very pleased with the response time, customer service, quality of services rendered, and the cost of those services provided. A/C issue on Tuesday and a Broken Window Repair on Wednesday.

Did find a good company, but also received calls from over 6 companies wanting to come give estimates.

Awful!!! I currently have Sage Pool as my provider. I contacted them yesterday and today regarding the very low water levels and green pool water. It is now 4:50pm and I still have not heard from Dave or any other representative about fixing the pool. Please see pictures below to show Sage Pool has not properly maintained my pool for some time. Nor has anyone contacted me or told the tenant in the home water is needed in the pool. Low pool water levels can damage a pool pump. Pool pumps are expensive and Sage pool does not seem to care. Sage Pool is the worst company ever. Can you help?

This is my second use of HomeAdvisor for finding contractors to work on my home. In both cases, contact was quickly made and I hired both of the recommended contractors. I have been well pleased with the results of both projects.

If it was not for HomeAdvisor, I would still be looking for a pool service company that would come out and help.

This site is one of the best site. In minutes the site will find you the best contractor with very reasonable price. I recommend this site to try first before looking other places.

Our company had tried using HomeAdvisor to generate leads. We are a window company, but were sent leads for non-related items such as toilet repair. Despite cancelling and sending SEVERAL emails to stop this service, we continue to get garbled recorded messages, followed by an email. Clearly no one in customer service is checking their emails, and if they are, don't care. Contractors, AVOID HomeAdvisor! Their unprofessionalism alone is enough to turn anyone off.

Contractor was superb, reflecting well on HomeAdvisor!

Meter was replaced, cables were replaced, panel was upgraded.

We used Cornerstone to clean the grout and replace caulking in two of our bathrooms. The customer service was outstanding. The job was done professionally. We are very happy with the results and will use Cornerstone again on our next grout project.

I really like that HomeAdvisor pre-screens and gathers contractors. It makes it easier for you to find the service you need. Although lately it seems that for a few jobs, the amount of companies they give you to choose from is limited. Sometimes even only providing one company to choose from for a job.

Worse mistake I made was to hire HomeAdvisor. I received nothing but bunk leads and they lied that they couldn't find my Alarm license when I gave them all docs needed. They will charge you for leads that don't even Answer and bunk leads that are hours away from you. They tell you that they have 15 to 20 leads a month in your area but you never receive a good lead. When confronted all you get is the run around with customer service and their managers. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I have found three different contractors for different jobs I have needed done and they have all been great.

HomeAdvisor did a great job in helping me locate and hire a company to remove a fallen tree from my home over a holiday weekend. They quickly assessed my need, got me directed to a very good local company that took care of my project the same day. And they checked back with me to make sure my project needs were met. I will use them again next time. I have a project and have no idea whom to contact.

First time user of HomeAdvisor. Got good results. I was a little concerned about how it would work, but it did. We got multiple calls (which wasn't so great, but all were pleasant an understanding). Apparently there's quite a competition to respond first.

Was happy with the ease of identifying referrals for vendors in my area for what I needed help with. Made an appointment for the next morning directly from the site. Appointment happened and repairs commenced. Very happy with the vendor and HomeAdvisor with this first experience.

The service was excellent.

The spring on my 16 ft. wide garage door broke last Thursday afternoon, right before the start of the 3-day Memorial Day weekend. Both of my cars were in the garage, and they were trapped. With a broken spring, the door could not be raised, either by electric opener or by hand. I contacted "HomeAdvisor", and found out the earliest appointment was on Tuesday, May 31st, which would mean my wife and I were stuck for the entire weekend. No cars, no going anywhere.

I hire 2 contractor from HomeAdvisor and have been extremely please with both.

The contractor's timely arrival and prompt, honest, straight forward diagnosis/estimate are noteworthy. Unfortunately, lightning in the area and persistent rain refilling trenches as rapidly as they were dug caused the job to be suspended. I shut down the job for personal safety reasons, weather and power equipment considered. Should the weather break tomorrow, the project will resume to its completion.

I have used HomeAdvisor twice and I am very satisfied with the results.
