K&D CONSTRUCTION did excellent work in replacing the rotted decking on my roof, demoed the chimney that leaked into the house every time it rained. They fixed the drywall inside the house that had also been damaged. After they finished the job, I am impressed as to how professional everything looked.

I explained the problem and Larry the technician made an appointment with me to check out the heater. He came on time, diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary part and returned again on time to make the repairs. Larry was a pleasure to work with. I am very satisfied with HomeAdvisor and intend to use them again in the future for any home projects or repairs.

In 2015 I have hired a contractor to renovate a bathroom. This year I hired an electrician. I was very pleased with both contractors.

Siding power washed. Excellent service. On time, considerate and work was done efficiently and with concern to get it done right.

Bath remodel. Bottom line, we are happy.

I was selling my house so I was bargain shopping. One of the suppliers I found was absolutely first rate. The other one was more of a B-. Overall good though.

With the exception of one contractor, all other contractors have been top-notch. The one exception was Duenas - handyman services - who was a nightmare hire. Will continue to use HomeAdvisor-recommended contractors for future projects.

I like, so far, dealing with HomeAdvisor. They have always recommended at least 3 names and these people were very nice to deal with even with just an estimate of cost of job. Sometimes I didn't take first call and had another estimate which I felt was a better suit for me. But all these people were nice and I like that HomeAdvisor screens them before listing.

I had previously contacted a general contractor to oversee a more extensive remodel project for our master suite. After I got over the sticker shock, I decided to scale back the scope of the project and act as my own general. I used HomeAdvisor to identify subs for painting, tile, glass, HVAC, and plumbing. In every case, I got qualified subcontractors that provided excellent service at a fair price. I have already recommended HomeAdvisor to several friends and will continue to use them for a long list of 'honey-do' projects that I have.

I had dreaded the idea of finding someone to replace gutters. I had one company come out and they told me that plus gutters I needed soffits. Jose said I did not need soffits. Jose explained about the gutters and how they would be installed. Since I didn't need soffits I decided to have gutter guard added. The work was completed a few days ago. Everyone was so professional. Gutters look great and I do not ever have to hire someone to clean debris out again. I am very happy with this project finished.

I want to be clear, my complaint is with HomeAdvisor NOT Ajax Drain. Initially I contracted with a different plumber. HomeAdvisor cancelled the appointment because they could not confirm the plumber would arrive as scheduled. However they sent me subsequent messages reminding me of the cancelled appointment. When I called HomeAdvisor, the agent seemed clueless, not aware of the cancellation. He could not recommend another plumber, saying there was no one else in my area. He also recommended a handyman. I told him I needed a plumber. I found Ajax Drain on my own so I don't know why the HomeAdvisor agent could not find him.

The door was installed well. No problems.

I have only had one bad experience with someone I hired through HomeAdvisor, but I feel that is not their fault. It was mine. After all, I hired this person. I could have easily had the same experience looking through the Yellow Pages. It was a valuable learning experience. The two companies I've hired since then have been wonderful!

I always check with HomeAdvisor when looking to hire professionals to work in our home. I gave them 4 stars because I have received a couple of high bids, but I would have had no problem hiring those people had I not received lower bids from other professionals. Also, a group I hired from HomeAdvisor to do interior painting got a bit sloppy at the end of the job, splattering paint on the floor and splattering wall paint on the trim. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor and recommend them to anyone.

This was my first time using HomeAdvisor. What I really liked about this site is it has the professionals reaching out to you. I had white pages, but that was basically picking names out of a phone book and calling each one up. I was provided with 3-4 possible companies to do the work and after receiving bids, chose American Restoration. They were prompt, did expert brick work, were courteous and neat. Custom made to fit into my home. I am happy with the company I hired and if I had met them sooner they would have made my kitchen cabinets also. The wood they use is thicker than what I purchased and the price would have have been better than what I paid.

Within 15 minutes of hitting send (at 9 PM) I had 2 contractors calling me, and another 2 in the morning. Each came out quickly for a quote, and I was able to use each response to ask questions of all 4. With the help of reviews on the site, I picked the one I thought best fit our needs. They did a great job, and now I have a new AC company for our house. But I will be back when another area of the house needs work.

Old floor covering was replaced with pre-finished wood and quartz tile. Dr. Floor did everything ask of them at the quoted cost and added tricks and tweaks I never imagined that displayed their professionalism and added to the quality of the installed flooring. Payment, a handshake, and a thank you seems very slight for the treatment and quality that I received from Dr. Floor. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Floor.

Had a new vinyl fence installed and a old wooden fence removed. We used CCT Outdoor Service and they did a outstanding job. We are very pleased with them.

We are having AC installed in attic but need to have the old duct work removed because the old duct work contained asbestos in the insulation around the heating ducts. They were the cheapest bid, arrived 10 minutes early and were professional. My only slight disappointment was they left our ceiling a little soiled with dirty handprints and they didn't clean it up. Everything else was covered and protected. We would use them again.

I will be using HomeAdvisor in the future and recommending this service to family, friends and neighbors.

My experience with HomeAdvisor started out pleasant, but after they charge my credit card without my authorization, it has been a nightmare trying to get them to refund the money. They told me 7 to 14 days for the refund. It has been over 14 days and they still have the same excuse that it is being processed. All the customer service reps say the same teleprompted response but nothing gets resolved. They're quick to take the money and extremely slow to refund what is rightfully not theirs. I will never subscribed to this company because of their lack of customer service and going the extra mile to refund the money in a timely manner.
