HomeAdvisor is a quick and efficient service to obtain reliable and qualified people to do the work required. I would certainly use them again for referral.

HomeAdvisor suggested two companies for the service that I was asked for. The company I chose was excellent and the reviews posted in the website help me to decide which company was better for the service.

I was looking for a reliable electrician for a project after being burnt by another contractor on a different project (did not use HomeAdvisor). After using this site, they matched me with a few electricians and while I was reviewing the results, I received a call from one of the highest rating ones and was extremely pleased with the match. If this is how great all matches are on this site, why use any other listing site?

Repaired exterior light on garage. Fixed wiring and replaced photocell. Work took about 1 hour. Price was a little more than I expected but glad to get the light repaired.

Researched an electrician, found a good one.

I was able to find a company to repair the HVAC system at my beach home using HomeAdvisor. I was surprised only two providers showed up on your list considering the population of this area (28512). I was also surprised to receive a phone call from one of the companies a few hours later, which I didn't care for. I would prefer to use HA as a resource that allows me to review the providers and choose which I want to contact. In this case, once I had identified the name of the provider I wanted to contact first, I found their phone number elsewhere and called them directly rather than waiting for your service to feed them my name and have them call me.

I have used HomeAdvisor twice now and am very satisfied with the providers I have hired through their referrals.

Had a blockage in the sewer line. They appeared very quickly. The problem was a soft blockage rather than something like tree roots, and they priced it accordingly. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional.

I picked two companies to contact us regarding our job. One company responded within the first hour. The other company never did contact us - even after I left a few phone messages as well as emails. However, we were very pleased with the company that we found and used through HomeAdvisor.

This contractor met all of our expectations and even exceeded some. We are very happy with the job that Southern Nights Outdoor Lighting has done. Other potential customers are welcome to drop by around dusk to see our lighting. I will not add any photos because they are so much less informative than seeing the real thing in 3D and from a number of points of viewing.

The locksmith assessed the situation, re keyed all locks and made adjustments to doors and positioning properly the locks that were misset by owner... Did great job!

Had a cracked footboard. It was repaired in a timely matter and it is beautiful. It looks brand new as if it just came off the showroom floor.

I submitted a request and within minutes received a few calls. I found a landscape contractor in my neighborhood that worked with me on planning and budget and did an excellent job on the first stage of my project.

I am a contractor. I called to get information about the company and liked what I heard. The salesmen told me I had to pass a background/credit check - so I gave him my info & credit card info. I was told when I passed the background/credit check I would get a call and we could go over pricing and what it would cost... 1 week later my e-mail was full of spam from the company offering other items. I called HomeAdvisor and was given the runaround...so I check my bank statement and found out HomeAdvisor charged me $300. I turned the account off, called, raised hell. Finally got someone in cust. ser. that told me though "You didn't cancel the account within the first 2 days."

Web service is more annoyance than help. 1st time I request quotes, nothing happened. I got hold of contractor and he completed the work. Days later get nags on web & phone to perform the service that was already complete. Fill out web request to rate the service, three time due to web solicitation. What happened to first two copies I submitted? You are lucky I am reporting all this, but will not use HA again...too much overhead.

Using HomeAdvisor to complete a stump removal project was very easy and user-friendly. The interactive website was intuitive and made sure I submitted all the appropriate information. Once the project was submitted, I received contact from 2 different companies and chose to use Villatoro's Tree Service.

I have use HomeAdvisor on 2 separate occasions. Both times I selected a company from their list. Both companies did extremely accurate and wonderful work.

I couldn't find a price before making an appointment, so made the appointment without knowing the price. That made me really uncomfortable.

All I did was browse for gutter cleaners in my area. I did choose one and was very happy with their work. However, I got numerous calls from other pros. This is not good. I didn't request any calls. All I did was browse for them.

I was completely stressed out since another company that I met at an Earth Day event had taken my money, started the job, had multiple excuses why they couldn't finish. For two weeks, they ignored my phone calls and emails. I am so lucky that HomeAdvisor found One-Up Solar who contacted me and completed the job in 24 hours. I wish I had used HomeAdvisor from Day 1 and I wouldn't have lost my money and endured the stress of dealing with a dishonest contractor.

Requested diagnostics and sought repair. Offered three options for quotes. Responded to the first option and had two electrical problems diagnosed and repaired within 1.5 hours and late on Saturday afternoon.

HomeAdvisor is a shady company! I run a business so I called to check on their rates. We're a startup so honestly it was over our budget. No problem there, I told them to check back with me in a couple months. One day I googled my business and a PPC add popped up. I clicked on it thinking someone was using our name. It went to a generic page with a phone number. I called it and it was HomeAdvisor. They set up a PPC add to steal my customers. To think, I planned on using them, I just couldn't afford them yet. So I contact them via live chat. They say they have no knowledge of that phone number belonging to them. So I let the guy know I called and they answered. He says he will pass the information on to his boss. Next day it magically disappears. Stay Away from HomeAdvisor. Shady Shady Shady!

Their television ads accurately describe their free (to the client) service they offer and I don't see any evidence that they've sold my phone or email contact information. The plumber came at night to fix a clogged sewer line in the basement that was preventing our kitchen sink from draining. He was extremely courteous and professional. He took care of the problem for a reasonable price.

I always use HomeAdvisor for our home projects...been using them since they were called Service Advisor and will continue to use them because you know you are getting professionals who have to meet certain standards to be part of the HA team. Whenever I speak to a contractor I ask them if they are approved by HA. If they say no then I do not hire them.

This service worked out well for me. I got two responses right away. I would use them again for other things.

The job was to waterproof a 12-foot portion of the back of my house (underground). First, Limitless Golden Construction had to dig a hole 4ft x 4ft x 12ft (not an easy task as they had to save many bushes and plants in pots, AND they had to dig around parts of a sprinkler system. Next they cleaned the underground portion of my house with wire brushes and then tarred that section and covered it with plastic. Finally, they refilled the hole, put back the plants and the various parts of the sprinkler system. Three (3) guys worked 4 hours without stopping (I gave them water to drink). Excellent job! 5 stars.

I have used HomeAdvisor 2x and both times I have been very pleased. Response time was almost immediate and vendors called the same night or next day. Great to have a service where the vendors have been vetted and have a history of happy customers.

The mobile mapping app provided to the service company did not map him to my house, it was off by over 30 miles even with a correct address and zip code. This caused him to be 1 hour late that caused me to be 1 hour late for work.

I was recruited by HomeAdvisor salesperson Rich who told me I would receive leads from HA and I would pay for these leads. My main concern to him was I wanted to control how many leads I would get. Rich assured me I would be in full control of how many leads I would get. I told him I would like 10 a month. Again he assured me I could control how many leads I would get and I could turn them on and off at my discretion. So based on that I signed up. He then told me I would go on a conference call and had to answer each question I was asked with a YES no matter what the question was and that it was just to get me entered in their system and someone would call me the next day or so and go over how everything worked and then someone would go over with me how the website worked.

I wish I'd known how easy HomeAdvisor made finding a great contractor. It reduced the risks and frustrations involved in hiring at random and eliminated a lot of time and calls. It was refreshing to find a contractor who was professional enough to return calls/emails and show up and deliver when promised. I'll definitely use HomeAdvisor for future jobs.

I responded to an email from HomeAdvisor asking if I was looking for a landscaper. I completed the form in hopes of getting the names of contractors that I could research and contact to get estimates. Instead, within hours, I began being inundated with emails and phone calls from contractors. I immediately called HomeAdvisor and asked them to remove all of my information and to inform any potential contractors to NOT contact me. I explained that I did not intend to sign up to be solicited. I was told it was taken care of, but the calls continued. I called back again and they said they would again attempt to remove my name and number.

I don't go anywhere else for projects at two homes, in VA and NJ, and have never been disappointed.

I've used HomeAdvisor multiple times for multiple projects. I find it informative and great for sourcing contractors to do projects in my home.

While talking with HomeAdvisor on the phone, I had 2 different services that they recommend call me. I ended up hiring the first one I talked to and that worked out well.

I told Mike the electrician to consider a different service. If I had not taken things into my own hands through Facebook, contacting the electrician who said HomeAdvisor never contacted him (HomeAdvisor sent me a cancellation notice) I would have hired someone else. The disconnect between HomeAdvisor and the electrician really stunk.

I clicked on the internet link that directed me to HomeAdvisor and found the local lawn service that filled my needs. The lady that assisted me on the phone was pleasant and very helpful and provided me with the necessary info. She was a great representative for HomeAdvisor. If all your customer service people are as helpful and pleasant as she was you have a great staff!

I originally wanted an estimate on interior door replacement for my home, but I ended up having the company replace my front door instead. I still plan on having the other project done in the near future, and I will use the same company. Work was done well, and they were easy to get a hold of. They responded quickly to my emails.
