We cannot express how pleased we are with the outstanding service Westside Home Improvement provided to us. The problem stemmed from a previous company removing our porch to install a wrap around deck, which was incomplete and wrongly started. I located Westside Home Improvement through HomeAdvisor.

I have used HomeAdvisor for 3 different projects: tree removal, install television and tree trimming. I have been extremely pleased with the quality of work done. All three have exceeded my expectations in both quality of work and cost.

They do a very thorough job. Expensive, but again, you get what you pay for. Work was done professionally and would highly recommend.

I needed to find a company to install a sprinkler system for us. HomeAdvisor gave me multiple options and we chose one that exceeded our expectations.

Quick and easy to find a contractor or more than one to come and get the job quoted and then done.

Most contractors make initial contact. Some don't. You ask for an estimate and if you are lucky at least one gives you a price. I've had this experience more than once now with HomeAdvisor. Maybe my job was too small, but contractors should have the courtesy of calling you back and saying so.

In the heat of OK summer I did get a provider who could come quickly and get the diagnosis and worked quickly to get me working again.

I have a chain link fence and the gate base pipe rusted out and the gate was hanging off center and would not open or close. Bill ** removed the base pipe and replaced it, then he cut and trimmed the fence material on the base so the gate would open and close without getting hung up in the grass. It works better now that it ever did before.

Great experience hiring a landscape company from this site.

Everyone that I have hired from HomeAdvisor has done a great job with the work that I have requested. It is a very reliable source for providing good services.

Water was extracted from behind the tile. Repaired, cleaned, grouted and everything sealed.

The initial contact from the owner came within about 5 minutes of submitting a service request. The technician replaced the capacitor, thermostat, and cleaned out the unit in just over 2 hours. Couldn't have asked for better customer service from either and the rates were reasonable especially for this kind of situation (no AC with 80-90 degree weather everyday and I have 2 pets).

This is an excellent site to find people to get work done around our house! Not only are we matched with pros who then contact us, but we can see reviews and cost estimates before we hire anyone! I love this site and will continue to use it for years to come!

When Does an Appointment Made not Equal an Appointment Made? Here's what HA sent me by email: "Stripe or Mark Parking Lot. Thursday, July 7, 2016 @ 11:00 AM (PDT). Your appointment is scheduled with this pro:" But when no one showed up at that time, I called the pro. They had no appointment in their books. Turns out, after research, the "Your appointment is scheduled with this pro:" is not an appointment made with the pro. It's an appointment made with HomeAdvisor. Their "appointment... with this pro" is totally misleading. And future users should be aware of that which is why I'm writing this review. And I hope someone at HA revises their automatic responses to make it clear that the "appointment" is with HA, not with the pro. Which means, that meaningful appointment, with the pro, must still be made.

Wood floor refinishing - Very professional, time worked to complete job was exactly what was committed to. Left the house very clean when job was completed. Would use again.

Electrical repair - HomeAdvisor presents several good options for me to choose. There is information and reviews presented for my review. We have used this service 3 times now and are most pleased with the companies we have chosen. I have told all my neighbors to use this service.

Samsung Refrigerator Ice maker repair - Company sent was prompt, efficient, polite, knowledgeable. I had no problem with the company except the replacement part did not work. A new part had to be ordered. The replacement part did not come straight out of the box but in a parts box in the back of his van. This part should have been checked before installation.

The process was excellent as the "process flow" made the experience a piece of cake. We have been members since 2001 and did not use it for a while but are back.

Water heater inspection - My appointment was made quickly even though he was busy. I think honesty is one of the most important things and the company was both honest and efficient. Since I have a gas water heater, I feel a lot better knowing it has been inspected. I am confident with the information he gave me.

Using HomeAdvisor online made it so easy to describe the work that I needed, show me best quality businesses to meet my needs and then to put me in contact with my choices. I got a call back within 10 minutes.

Repaired attic exhaust fan - The electrician referred by HomeAdvisor did a great job. I would not have found them if not for HomeAdvisor so I am very pleased with the referral.

I've used HomeAdvisor in the past for lawn services and found a dependable provider. When my garage door started to malfunction, I contacted my original installer who put me off and said he would have someone call me. After four weeks and a follow-up call, I decided to try HomeAdvisor again. The service worked like a charm. My garage door was repaired the next day by a service professional and now operates like it is brand new.

Kitchen plumbing leak and repair - I was pleased to learn about HomeAdvisor and wouldn't hesitate to call on them for repairs (not that I want anything else to go wrong!). Wayne was knowledgeable and a "get in and get out" type of guy. He did his job well.

Repair Carpet damage - We were very satisfied with the repair and would use them in the future should we need to.

Completely replaced garage door opener with new track. Did complete job and reinforced both garage doors, as they were older and showing weakness! Very nice people to do business with! This is a free repair advice service and used the best company for my area. Thanks so much!

I just love HomeAdvisor. I have used a few of the companies now and have never been disappointed. It helps me a lot to come to this site for help when I don't know where to start.

They helped me find an A/C repairman for a same day repair. Picked up my call and the first listed was not taking calls so they went to the second. I don't usually take chances like this but it worked out. I was trusting the reputation they are trying to build. It probably cost less than some of the others I called but were not available. The repairman seemed professional, answered my questions and got me up and running the same day though he needed to buy the part and return to complete the job.

They could not or would not do anything to resolve the issue with the contractor that was found & promoted by them. Needed plumbing work. 2 companies were recommended. Got calls from both companies within 3 hours. We went with one of them and they were cheaper than other estimates I had gotten AND the work was excellent.

Bathroom Remodel - The company was responsive to my request. They came within 2 days to give me an estimate and the project was completed a week earlier than the original estimate.

I ran a maintenance dept for several years and feel this is a very helpful tool for people that don't know how to find people to do the work that they need to get done around the house. You can also read what other people thought about the work they had done and if they were satisfied or not.

After posting my request for a qualified pro for my specific need, I was given 2 choices, and one of them got in contact with us immediately. Within days, my problem has been solved. I was encouraged that HomeAdvisor had already checked out the businesses, so I could feel comfortable having them do my repairs.

We have used HomeAdvisor two times now. Both times the contractors have been reliable, very helpful with suggestions, great cost for the work that was done. They were honest and a pleasure to work with.

Integrity Mechanical was one of their suggested contractors. I was very pleased with their work and their quick response even on the Friday before a holiday weekend.

Needed sink reinstalled after having new kitchen counters put in. Ended up being more complicated, as new sink from counter company was deeper than old one so it interfered with existing pipes. Also ended up with new garbage disposal as it was old and rusted and was damaged when removed to install counter. Bob was very good about keeping me up-to-date as issues popped up, and gave me estimates before continuing. Went out and got new disposal for me and everything was still completed in same day.

Service provider contacted me within 10 minutes to arrange an estimate. We met the next day, and I was impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm and I hired him immediately. Plumber showed up the next business day with his assistant (the others did not appear to have assistants) and got the work done the same day, even with the additional project I had for them to do. The work was done within the time predicted and there were no additional expenses associated. I would hire this service again.

Requested a pro to repair my garage door opener. HomeAdvisor redirected me to set the appointment. I received a confirmation, but no one called or showed up. I called company and they had not received any info on an appointment.

We contacted HomeAdvisor after trying to contact several independent contractors with no luck. We had a call from HomeAdvisor that evening and a pool company was out to our house the next day to start the repairs we needed. That pool company was wonderful and I will be using them again in the future. I recommend HomeAdvisor for any home improvement needs. They follow up to make sure you are satisfied.

HomeAdvisor is a nice tool to use to search for trades professionals to handle projects. We actually hired one of the contractors a second time for a second project, knowing the quality of work would be good. It's nice to have a number of people to choose from to hire for projects based on actual customers ratings and reviews, but just as you would with anything else, you have to make sure they are a good fit and will work well with you.

HomeAdvisor was able to provide a local HVAC person whose office was close to my home. He came out the same day to check out the heat pump and provide an estimate.

They recommended a great company. They charged exactly what I was quoted on the phone.

I didn't personally know anyone that worked on heating and cooling units and didn't want to just open the phone book and pick one. I didn't trust that I would find a good one that way. My roommate told me about HomeAdvisor online. I thought since they were putting their reputation as a business out there, they would be careful to make sure they recommended good companies and pros. So, I went to the HomeAdvisor website and read the reviews listed for each company in my area. While I didn't have a lot of money to spend, I went with the one with the best reviews although the rates were slightly higher. As it turned out, his rates were not higher. The next time I need a professional of any kind, the first thing I will do is check with HomeAdvisor for a pro. My experience using them this time was great! I feel like I can trust them and they're the pros they list.

I contracted a roofer through HomeAdvisor. The experience has been an absolute nightmare with a simple one day job extending into its sixth day now and my yard strewn with asphalt, plastic and roofing nails and NO workers in sight to clean up. When I contacted HomeAdvisor in desperation, I was advised by their resolution person that they are simply an advertiser with no leverage other than to stop advertising that company. So much for "screened professionals"! He proceeded to call my contractor (at least he was able to get through when I was not) and made him promise to come and do a good job of finishing. That is essentially the limit of HomeAdvisor's involvement. "I'm sorry, but..." just doesn't do me much good. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!

HomeAdvisor is a predatory company. The sales dept lie about what you really get. The leads are bogus. The pricing is more than I was told. I wish I would have looked at their reviews prior to signing up with them. What a bunch of fakes. Bad experience with them, I'm glad I fired them.

The quality of leads is poor. Customer service is non existent. Call customer service and wait for at least 10 minutes. Try to get a credit for a lead from competitor and you get denied. Call legitimate leads and they never call back. Really dissatisfied and would like to talk to someone to complain but can't get through. Really really bad lead generator.

I have come to the conclusion that if they are not on here I don't use them. Period. Did that and have still got to correct errors left behind.

Replaced light fixtures, changed toilet mechanics, cleared a slow drain (didn't request but happy it was done!) and pressure washed house, drive and sidewalk. Called later about drain and went back to ensure it was operating properly (unheard of, exceptional service!).

I was interested in having my front yard landscaped to add some curb appeal to my home. I didn't know anyone in this line of work so I googled landscapers in my area. I stumbled across HomeAdvisor and I am very satisfied with the experience. The site put me in touch with several highly rated landscapers and they reached out to me immediately. I was able to set up appointments for estimates and within a few days I scheduled my job. Now that the job is complete, I can't be happier with the result. I would definitely return to this site for other jobs I may need help with!

I went onto the website to look for a chimney sweep vendor. I found two of them. The first one was unable to accommodate my schedule but the second one did. Home Advisor checked on me by email. I will definitely use them again!

I have dealt with this a few times, very frustrating and expensive! HomeAdvisor has my budget, leads are charged to my credit card automatically... then sent over for zip codes we signed up to service. However every few months I get trickled in leads for areas that I do not service, or told them I no longer service! I am charged upfront over $20 per leads, sometimes over $35, and they hope you do not notice. We do not want bad will in the community so we feel that we have to reply since they gave out our name to the client saying we'll be calling them for service!! They will not refund back leads older than 30 days, saying "It's up to you to monitor your profile." The profile will not even show the unserviced zip codes being charged so that doesn't work either. Trying to predict when they will bogus charge you is a hassle and I shouldn't have to do in order to get their other good leads.

I highly recommend Perfect Climate HVAC. The owner Ken ** is a former mechanical engineer who is pleasant, dependable, and extremely knowledgeable. His team are also pleasant, dependable and knowledgeable.

Our AC went out on a Saturday evening, and so I asked a friend for a recommended tech. She recommended checking HomeAdvisor, so I did. It was easy, and the ratings were not only helpful, but comforting to see. The best part is that it was free to use! We will confidently use HomeAdvisor from now on to get the help we need with our house. On an additional note, this was far and above our experience with home warranty services - more professional, quick service and reasonable cost.

What I liked about the HomeAdvisor service over Angie's List or others is that the site helped me narrow down my choices quickly based upon what I needed and also auto-dialed the contractor. Angie's List is a nightmare trying to navigate and all of their "special offers" from contractors are typically not even in the same category.
