If I could give negative stars, I most certainly would! The driver for HomeDepot.com/Daryl Flood Logistics out of LaVergne, TN would not take my dishwasher to my house, he said that if the driveway was more than 500 ft., they couldn’t deliver it to the house. However, all my other appliances had been delivered to my house. He said he could leave it at the end of my driveway or he wouldn’t leave it at all. He was unprofessional and was very disrespectful, along with his counterpart traveling with him. I called HomeDepot.com and reported this issue as it was occurring, and all the customer service rep wanted to do was send me to the complaint department to file a complaint which did not help me with my situation. HomeDepot.com did tell me that the more than 500 ft. was not correct, they do deliver to any and all addresses unless it’s unsafe for the delivery persons and/or vehicle.

I am writing with regard to the North Spokane Home Depot. We ordered new appliances for our home on January 14th. They consist of a standard refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. We paid approximately $5,100 for the merchandise that day. This does not include the substantial kitchen remodel we contracted with Home Depot. We arranged for delivery on February 10th. The Home Depot cancelled the delivery and rescheduled for February 16th. After providing us with a literal last minute cancellation, Home Depot rescheduled again on March 9th. After yet another reschedule, Home Depot cancelled our delivery today. This does not include the times we had to reschedule due to Home Depot scheduling on days we explicitly told them we would not be available.

Home Depot has not delivered our appliances two months after we have paid for our merchandise. Customer service was inept at addressing our issues with Home Depot's delivery delays. The third party Home Depot contracted to deliver our appliances gave us no accommodation for the delivery or worked with us to find an alternative path.

As a result we had to completely cancel our purchase. A complete refund will be pending. I will be sure to update this review if we do not receive it in a timely fashion. We will not do business with the Home Depot and we advise anyone working on home improvement projects to take your business elsewhere. If feasible we would also cancel the entire kitchen remodel. This company's shoddy customer service and inability to deliver are frankly embarrassing. For a company with self-proclaimed expertise in home improvement, it has much to learn when it comes to transacting business.

I recently purchased a dishwasher that was delivered on Friday March 3, 2023. It was installed that following Monday, March 6th. After installation the packaging was removed and exposed a dent. I used the texting to make the complaint. The appointment was made for a service person to come out to look at it on Wednesday March 8th. I waited all day for them to come but they did not show. I again contacted them and was told it was canceled since it was 24 hours past the 48 hour complaint time. It would have been nice to have a courtesy call to let me know. Now, I'm stuck with a brand new dishwasher with a dent in the front. Bye Bye Home Depot, there are other options.

I ordered an Electrolux washer and dryer. The Home Depot says 48 hour return. I unfortunately had a problem with the dryer, so I tried to call Home Depot 800 numbers 3 of them to be exact. Could not get a person on any of the numbers, only an automated system. I called Electrolux, they told me to call the Home Depot store under their 48 hour return policy. I called Home Depot store, told them I wanted return, and the guy said they had to order me another dryer, which they did. The second dryer had problems, I have a video of it. I took that video to Home Depot store and let them see it. The person in appliances listened to it and said that there is something wrong with it, gave me a number to call for refund or replacement. Went home, called number, was told that they could not refund me. I had to talk to the store. Called the store, talked to assistant manager, he got my order number and details.

Called back and said if I wanted a refund I had to call Electrolux. Wait a minute I gave Home Depot my money not Electrolux. He said call another number for a 3rd machine to be delivered. I was within the 48 hour return policy but under no circumstances would Home Depot honor that policy. Now I am stuck with junk, which in my opinion is what Electrolux makes junk. I will never spend another dime at a Home Depot store or at home depot.com. I am paying off these junk machines and having nothing to do with either one of these companies again! What a waste of my time, hours and hours spent on this junk.

Buyers Beware! In 2018, I purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer from The Home Depot and purchased a 5 year extended warranty. The washer and dryer come with a one year labor and 3 years parts replacement warranty from the manufacturer. That should have made it a total of 6 years but The Home Depot refuses to honor the warranty agreement as per the terms of coverage written in their warranty contract. They claim that the five year warranty purchased started when I took delivery but according to the terms of coverage in the contract it states that the extended warranty starts after the manufacturer’s warranty expires, one year from the purchase date. The Home Depot refuses to honor the agreement and I will never purchase any major appliances from them in the future. Do not be fooled by their so called warranty.

We were buying some pavers from Home Depot and they refused to honor the price as marked - even though it was clearly for the pavers we selected and had a big arrow pointing right at them. The manager said under Connecticut law they could charge a different price. They are a very dishonest company. And there have been a pretty good number of times when we had a cashier who made a mistake in our favor, or mistakenly did not scan an item, and in every instance we have gone back and given home depot the chance to correct the cashier's error, which of course they always do. But - they have no hesitation to play games with mismarking of commodity items, and they don't care in the least. They are a very abusive and dishonest company.

New Bosch dishwasher delivered 1/28/23. Delivery men put a 3" rip in kitchen floor while removing old & installing new. Even after my warning not to drag the appliances but to lift. English was not their language. They tried to accuse me of damaging the floor (I have pictures of them doing it). Also damaged the new dishwasher while installing. Door wouldn't close properly, it wasn't centered in cabinet and the seal on left side kept falling off when they let go of it (that's why they tried to install it all the way to the left leaving a 2' gap on the right, not centered as it should be). Dishwasher was flush with cabinet on left but sticking out on the right. I told them to remove it and sent it back. I then arranged for replacement & new delivery 2 wks later. Filed a claim for damaged floor.

No one showed up to deliver the replacement on 2/14 because Home Depot cancelled my order on 1/28/23 after arranging for a replacement w/ delivery. They also didn't contact me or refund my $1400. They no longer offer veterans discount on appliances either. Had to drive to store to get refund. Unable to reach claims department for damaged floor. They are on Eastern time not Pacific. Got email to send estimate for damage and no further info. I saved for 5 months to get this dishwasher. I am beyond disappointed. I will NEVER buy anything from Home Depot again. Still have to deal with floor damage.

For all of those who are U.S. Veterans, there exists an awareness of which companies offer discounts for Veterans and those who don't. The company known to most of the United States as Home Depot does a significant amount of advertising about how the company supports all branches of the Armed Service(s) and blows their own horn in the pages created on their website. However, the game has changed. Home Depot no longer offers discounts in two major topics. The standard for the company was a ten percent discount for all products purchased by a Veteran.

The first change came when certain products were no longer allowed the discount; electrical wire, most lumber and major appliances were taken off of the discounted items list, with no reason given or shown on the shelves, as it is up to the customer to 'catch' this at the check out register. Oddly, the store cashiers have no idea of when or why this has taken place, including the temporary or permanent status question one would ask. Secondly and more alarmingly; the Home Depot Corporate Office, changed direction on who can and who cannot receive a discount. Gone are the days when a valid Veteran I.D. was sufficient proof to obtain a discount.

The ONLY way a Veteran can obtain a discount is via the Home Depot online process. The process involves a detailed list of personal information which must be filled out; including name, address, phone number, and service, service branch and a number of other details, The Home Depot organization then turns the completed form over to a third party who allegedly contacts the govt. files to verify the information.

To their game plan, this Veteran says NO THANK YOU. I decline the offer of ten percent on the basis of my private information is not the business of Home Depot, nor is there any reason to trust a third party with the information as there is no way to know what the supposed third party is going to do with the information once the details are in their hands. Identity theft is one thing and in the opinion of this writer, this is the same as handing all of the private information over to an unknown person and trusting them to be honorable. Granted, Home Depot or any other company who does business with the public has no obligation to offer any discount. However, this is the same as selling a discount for your private information. Again, NO THANK YOU.. Stand clear of Home Depot and their ever changing means of gathering information on the customer.

It all started with a $500 Gift Card and a two-week vacation from work. My order for drywall & MDF was made on Feb 3 and was scheduled for delivery on the 8th.

I took that day off and my friend drove 2 hours from Newport Richey to help me "make a day of it and just get it done". In the afternoon I received an email confirming delivery had been delayed. That cost me a day of work and an $80 lunch. He drove 2 hours home. I called the number on the email and after 2:20:17 I was told somebody would be in touch. 24 hours later nothing so I called my local store to cancel. After 3:38:26 I gave up being on hold and drove to the store. There I spent 2:15 in line with Customer Service. The order was successfully canceled and I was given a store credit. Those keeping score will calculate ~8 hours of waiting.

After cooling down I tried to reorder from a different location only to realize at checkout the store credit was only for IN STORE purchases. I visited the same store and was assured, absolutely GUAR - AN - TEEEED!!! everything was in stock and I could just purchase said order and arrange delivery. With great reluctance and blind faith, I did. Order delivery was scheduled for Feb 17 (Okay - my vacation started on 2/11 so I am only a week behind). On Feb16 at 9:51PM Home Depot email stated delivery has been rescheduled for 2/25. At this point I have spent a two week vacation in limbo, waiting and waiting. Then..... waiting some more. The electrical was done, the room has been emptied - TWICE.

I have canceled the order yet again and now I don't even care about the gift card. There was so much confusion about credits for delivery and then trying to figure out how taxes to charge, then issuing a new card, then buying the order again. Take the gift card and shove it. Also, just don't expect me to drop another dime in a Home Depot store. You wasted ONE WHOLE MONTH and this is what you call 'Helping Doers Get More Done"? The hilarity at the irony is unprecedented. So, Home depot has $374.13 of mine and I have nothing to show for it. I go back to work on 2/20 so thank you for wasting my long-awaited vacation and my time.

I have been denied and the website won't honor my request, it says need valid email, and I used both emails associated with Home Depot. I am very upset and disappointed that I have spent so much here and have gotten no return or help resolving this issue. I will shop Lowe's from now on. The return was $143. Which is trivial compared to what I spent.

On Home Depot’s official website ordered Dewalt cordless drill kit DCD797D2 with HDepod’s promo discount 15%. Once received the tool noticed that packaging was not accurate as it supposed to, the stickers with shipping barcode was scratched off the packaging but I still could read partially the address and some other information which doesn’t belong to me. Opened the box, one of the battery packs is not responding not on the drill itself and not on charger neither. Next day made my trip to Home Depot for replacement. They didn’t have it in stock. So representative told me that they will refund only the actual paid price, which means I can forget about promo code from HD, because it was reframed on the drill at first purchase. And same representative told to order online again.

So from my understanding this is some kind of Ponzi scheme, “Dear value customer here is your welcome to neighborhood discount 15%, which we’ll take away from you by sending you a defective item”. Coincidence you might say, OK I had nothing to do and ordered online right at the store another the same kit. Today I got a package with my replacement of the same model Dewalt. Opened the box… Battery pack which is on the drill is not responding again not in charger neither. And this drill kit has weariness signs, scratches on the battery packs and drill driver itself. I got proofs this time, recorded unpacking video. How wonderful Home Depot cares about their customers

No problem with the sales person or in store. But the call on the day before delivery never came so I contacted HDepot. Was promised it was in the warehouse and on the truck. Specifically gave me the # of the truck it was on (#4), that it was loaded, and that it was # 10 on the list and that it would definitely arrive. I called again the morning of the supposed delivery and was again told it was on the truck and would come and they would call 30 minutes before. No call. At 4 pm I called HDepot and they said it would not be delivered for a week (after I had cancelled appointments and stayed home all day waiting for them). Essentially they lied. It was never even out for delivery. Their customer reps (when you can finally get to one past the robots) were nice, but apparently their delivery service is completely irresponsible. I understand they use a subcontractor, maybe a mistake.

Ordered Home Depot's Home Decorator Collection file console online. Company sent incomplete product - wrong back panels. Contacted support to order correct back panel. Built console, waited for back panel. 3 days later was informed no correct panel would be sent. Over a dozen emails, 2 batches of pictures and an hour long chat with Home Depot, vendor Home Decorator Collection refuses to send correct back panel to complete product. They buy from China, said it was imported so couldn't. They and Home Depot both refused to pull out a correct panel from another box and send to me. I said I would wait, even if it took weeks or months to get. They refused.

Both Home Depot and vendor insisted I had to take built product back to store for refund, and reorder another product from them. I suggested an assembled product be sent to me and incomplete one I built picked up. No, they would not do so. Neither Home Depot nor the vendor stands behind their product. I consider this a bait and switch; who is to say any of the products have a complete, accurate list of products? And if they do not, the customer is out of luck. Do not buy Home Decorators or order from Home Depot.

They installed the dishwasher and left without testing it. I tried to operate it and realized it was not getting water and determined the valve was closed. I turned the valve on and water gushed everywhere. I realize now afterwards that the installers knew this because they were asking for paper towels at the end of the install to dry the cabinet. They left with the valve off knowing the dishwasher would not work. Called HD and got the runaround. Now I have to wait another week before they come to finish the job. Let me start off by saying that I don't do reviews and that my complaint is not with any of the Home Depot workers as they have been trying to resolve this issue the best that they can. Because this is a third-party, contracted, delivery company that Home Depot uses there is not much they can do. This has been, hands down, the worst experience that I have had.

I ordered a refrigerator in December and the delivery has been canceled by the delivery company several times. One of those times the driver called to confirm that he was on his way and never showed up. There was no explanation as to why just a notification that it, once again, needed to be rescheduled. Rescheduled, it was supposed to be delivered two weeks later. Again, without notice, the delivery was canceled. Now it is scheduled to be delivered the first week in February, over a month since the refrigerator was purchased. I will never buy anything from Home Depot again because of this problem and would not recommend them to anyone else. What a shame.

I purchase a GE Profile refrigerator June of 2021 with a 5 year protection plan warranty. Within a 15 months the refrigerator stopped working properly. I called home depot to report the issue, and hopefully since I'm covered under my warranty get my refrigerator fixed. Instead of assisting in the situation, I was given the runaround. Home Depot claimed that GE was responsible for fixing the fridge because they were the only people equipped to fix the refrigerator. GE did not want to fix it because the fridge was now more than a year old, and no longer under the manufacturer warranty.

For a month and half I was being tossed around between these two companies. No one wanted to take responsibility. I spent the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays without a fridge. To say I was highly irritated and disappointed is an understatement. I would advise any person purchasing any appliances at home depot not to let them con you into buying a warranty, it's garbage. It's a money grab. Home depot left a very bitter taste in my mouth after this nightmarish experience, and I don't plan on making expensive purchases at that store ever.

Our tiller was delivered yesterday morning, January 23. We were supposed to be notified by a driver 30 minutes prior to delivery. That didn't happen. There was no knock on the door to let us know they were here., (My 3 nosey dogs never barked.) We were told the tiller would be put in a garage, on a patio, or in the carport. Instead it was dropped in the mud. This tiller weighs about 400 pounds. I don't have special material handling equipment like that driver had, so I've been forced to unpack the box piece by piece to lighten it to see if I could move it, which I have not been able to do. The bulk of the tiller has spent the night outside in the weather and we expect rain tomorrow. I will spend my day today trying to move this tiller body into the carport where it should have been placed to start with.

When we called Home Depot to ask for help, we were told we just received basic delivery. Their "customer care representative", when asked if dropping it in the mud and leaving it was acceptable, responded with "Yes." This is not acceptable. Let me advise you to order large items with caution. Home Depot customer service is obviously non-existent. Your item can come whenever they choose, and be dumped wherever they wish. Live with it.

Told him the kind of the old appliance and right there and there, he said he can not do it by himself and has to be done by 2 peoples. Back to warehouse again. HD scheduled next deliv date for 12/15. But Whirlpool called a couple of days later saying a new unit was being shipped and would be deliv on 12/19. Next deliv date, 12/19, no sign of deliv by 2pm, I called HD and was told deliv had been scheduled for 12/19, but no one had put in an order to put the unit on the delivery truck. Said next available deliv date was 1/6.

When I strenuously objected to that date, they scheduled deliv for today, 12/29. Based on last experience, I called yesterday to verify that the unit was scheduled to be loaded on the truck AND delivered. This morning 2 men showed up to install a DW they thought was already delivered. Once again, they had screwed up the order and neglected to put the DW on the delivery truck. HD offered a new delivery date of 1/5. We declined the appointment and cancelled the whole order.

We went to Lowe’s and bought a similar model for less money with a delivery date of tomorrow. I will have someone else install it once it arrives. I will never again shop at HD. They are dead to me.

I had the worst experience at the Home Depot in Jackson. Long story short, we went in store to order a storm door for replacement. After picking out our door, we went to schedule installation. The computers were having issues so we were told the order was placed and we would get a call from installers. After a week, we went back in store to see what the status was. We were told that the order we had was blank and thus cancelled. I was frustrated but I understand things happen. So we went through the process again. I was assured by the manager that we would receive better service this time. We did get the installers to the house to measure the door.

Per the printed document we got from Home Depot, we expected a call to schedule the appointment within a week. It is now 3 weeks after and we hadn't heard anything. I just called to check status and wouldn't you know it, our order is blank again. No info on the door we supposedly ordered. The manager I spoke with was completely unhelpful. She transferred me back to Jim in millworks (who was kind, apologetic, and trying to be helpful) only to be told that we would have to start over again.

I am done with Home Depot. I can't believe that lack of responsibility the management team took for this. It is a little project but between my dad and my brother-in-law and myself, we have spent MILLIONS of dollars on materials. So I decided to buy the door at Lowe's and will have it installed by a local contractor. It will be done next week. And now I am going to spend this snowy afternoon letting everyone know how disappointed I am in the response from Home Depot.

Picking stuff up at the Home Depot store is easy. What is not so easy and is a TOTAL failure is when you need to interact with a customer care agent for a special order. Email and phone messages remain unanswered. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone. I have been trying to place an order for a replacement part for more than 4 months now… Unfortunately, I cannot find it anywhere else. Anyway, lesson learned. Avoid Home Depot!

In January 2022 I paid Home Depot in full for George Burton Construction to renovate my home. While I had reservations I was assured Burton construction were professional. I believed in the Home Depot Brand. My renovations were flooring, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, remove an arch and extend a wall, remove tub and shower to build bigger shower.

The job began the end of March 2022. I never received a schedule, although asked numerous times. The job was not done professionally nor in a timely manner. I’ve asked for reimbursement/compensation for money I paid for services that Burton construction did not do. I paid local licensed plumbers to get the job done in a timely manner when I couldn’t get a reasonable committed date from Burton. The bathroom alone I paid $11,000. Burton construction capped shower pipes, installed new toilet, and tiled the shower walls-that’s it!! Burton's men tried two times to install the toilet. I hired a local professional to come in, tighten the tank and seal to the new floor.

I paid $1700. to Burton Construction for backsplash in the kitchen, they did not install backsplash!! I paid $975 for refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher installation. Burton only installed the microwave. The molding under the upper cabinets have light shining through. The under the cabinet lights work partial and periodic. Pull out cabinets were never installed, pantry cabinets that cost over $1700. each were installed April 10,2022 and each were defective. I found this after installing the shelves myself in August. Burton Construction ran out of shelve pins, I needed to order. Don ** the district manager for Home Depot witnessed Burton Construction workers try to repair the defective pantries. A few days later screws popped through outer walls of cabinets. I paid local professional painters new wall that Burton installed needed to be retextured.

This weekend I found a small hole in the quartz countertop. I paid for backsplash in bathroom that we didn’t get. Countertops delayed once because no one called for template, I did after 2 weeks. Second delay because bathroom vanities not installed when promised. Children brought to job site 3 times. Oil spots on driveway from work trucks. I’ve been offered a fraction of the money paid for services not rendered and money spent for cleaning up Burton Construction. I’ve been a customer my adult life, although HomeDepot would rather pay an incompetent contractor than stand by a loyal customer. This tells me Home Depot is NOT the brand you can trust.

You would be better off installing new cabinets than purchasing the cheap veneer sold for 16 plus thousand by Home Depot in my case. There is just way too much to list that went wrong and most likely not many will take the time to read everything. Home Depot provided a rendering after I made a request, but that looked like it was done by a third-grader. The cabinets don't look like what was described.

Recently, I had to go the local Home Depot store in order to return a small unused paint sample that was supposed to be a "color match". Upon arrival, I went to the help desk/return/pickup desk whereon I had to deal with an employee who simply stated persistently that returns for paint simply would not be accepted. Due to my insistence, the employee then called the store manager in order to sort out the situation, and things only got worse from that point on.

The manager used the same pointless talking points indicating that on the small paint container it was stated that it is non-returnable. Well, it also says on the paint container that it is a "color match" (which clear this one was not). Subsequently, the manager came up with the most absurd arguments one can possibly imagine, like implying to ask if I did not know the paint color (supposed memorized it) as if the differences between the hundreds of slightly different tones and gradients of white would equate to the difference between red and yellow and thus would be easily identifiable by simply memorizing and later comparing all possible intangible nuances of white from one's memory.

After about 15 minutes of that non-sensical situation, I indicated that in case a refund was not issued (I am talking about $5) one would file a complaint against Home Depot (Reynoldsburg, OH) about that incident and concomitantly file a complaint with credit card company in order to receive a refund. Eventually, the manager of the store conceded and issue a store credit on the amount of $5 -- which I spent right away since I have no intention to ever return to a Home Depot store again. That was truly one of the most obnoxious and obtuse experiences I have ever hand in any retail setting. Normally, I spend thousands of dollars per year in home improvement stores; but most certainly will never spend even a dime at Home Depot again.

My husband started building our house in October 2019 when Covid started. We purchased 1008sf of tile in July 2021. When we went to pick up tile it wasn’t all the same lot numbers. So, we asked if Home Depot could get matching lots of the tiles we picked out and we would return when they received them. Days later when we went to pick them up we counted 7 boxes of broken tiles. We were assured they gave us extra to cover the damaged ones. Our installer showed us more broken tiles inside boxes which left us short-duration installation a year later.

Due to Covid we were unable to install until July 2022. Floors seemed to look good. We went from floors straight to cabinet insulation. We only have 4 windows in our house and I started noticing a checker pattern on the tile. Thinking it was dirty, I got on my knees and cleaned them with soap and water and a microfiber towel. It wasn’t dirty but I also noticed a couple of chips.

I contacted Home Depot and was directed to Customer Service Specialist. She asked for pictures and my receipt. I explained it had been a year since we purchased the tile and could send pictures of installation and my records of all products we used. It was over a week before I called her back. Tosha wanted me to fill out a claim with MSI manufacturer’s. Home Depot took no action on a product they sell to assist us in our claim. Basically, I was on my own dealing with MSI the manufacturer. MSI refused to accept responsibility for defective product and tried to tell me it was a dye lot issue. It wasn’t because we had pictures of all the pallets, boxes etc. Somehow glaze tile and matte tile got mixed together. Nevertheless, we have to have tile removed and replaced.

I have contacted Matt Carey’s office (Vice President Customer Service) and left messages. If you’ve ever had flooring replaced you would understand my frustration. This is my retirement home. The only house we’ve ever built the way we want and now have to spend countless hours cleaning up after the demolition and all I was offer by manufacturer is the same tile which is no longer available in the glazed finish. I was the only one involved in dealing with the defective flooring. No contact with Home Depot. No one at Home Depot cares about what their product has done to our home. Not a return phone call one. Is this what customer service has come to? I wish I knew how to post pictures of my floors. No one could live with them!!!

We called Home Depot to inform them we never received the package and that the delivery driver had even admitted that he'd left them in a stairwell. Rather than Home Depot providing us with a credit and then addressing this with their contracted carrier, their response was that we had to fight it out with our credit card company. There was no care in pulling out the wire racking, they just yanked on it. We needed to actually repair not small patch over the drywall. The design team measured 3 times, apparently that wasn't enough as the unit didn't fit. The installers left the rest of the pantry in pieces and left. Designer came back 2 weeks later and we were told our corrections would be put on a rush as our house was now strewn about with pantry items and construction materials.

Slow forward 12 more weeks and the installers still didn't have all of the shelves and were missing the baseboard. Now Home Depot is stating that the project will stay incomplete because they sold us something they don't actually make. We can leave the project unfinished or they will come back and rip it out. At this point I took it back to Home Depot to just exchange it to get a new wine fridge that actually worked, I was even willing to keep the money with Home Depot but they informed me that the item is “non-returnable” and I had to go through the manufacturer to get a refund.

Less than 3 months of ownership, it breaks beyond repair and Home Depot says “too bad”. So they are fine with selling what they know is a faulty product then refusing to take ownership of their deception. After digging through the reviews on Home Depot for this exact fridge I realized that multiple other customers had the same thing happen to them, so if they would like to join me in a class action lawsuit please feel free to out.

WHY I WILL NEVER SHOP OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THE HOME DEPOT. Through the past 25 years we have purchased a lot from Home Depot. We are DIY people, so we purchase a lot of products from home improvement stores. When we built our house, we were in the Home Depot store weekly. Our whole kitchen came from Home Depot. Home Depot has always been our first priority for everything for the home. Now that I have found out that Home Depot (along with a lot of the DIY stores) all use delivery services I will be very cautious what I buy at their stores. And if it has to be delivered, I will ask who delivers before I purchase. If they don’t employ their own delivery crew, I will go somewhere else.

I purchased four kitchen appliances, a warranty, and all the additional accessories required to install the new appliances from the Home Depot location in Marysville, Ohio. It was an easy purchase as I had already done a lot of research into what I wanted. Although the store only had one of the four items on display, I had printed off the information for each item and the sales clerk was able to check inventory and found that what I wanted was in stock at the warehouse. We completed the sale, and a delivery date of Friday October 14th was given to me along with all the instructions to prepare for delivery. I paid extra to have all the appliances installed and move the old appliances to another room.

I was informed that the delivery people only install, they do not uninstall. The day before the scheduled delivery I had a man uninstall all my appliances. The gas stove was unhooked and moved to the middle of the kitchen. The microwave was taken off the wall and moved to the middle of the kitchen. The refrigerator was unhooked from the water supply but left plugged in and moved out of the space it was in. The dishwasher was unhooked from the water supply, electrical power and removed from its space. He even removed the doors from the cupboard to make it easier for the person to install the new dishwasher. Then I cleared a path from any obstacles that could interfere with the delivery. (I want to make note that I am a 73-year-old woman with a very bad back and two surgeries on my ankle this year, but I managed to have everything checked off their list of demands before delivery).

I have gone into detail because I want you to picture my kitchen as I proceed with this letter. On Thursday October 13th I received an email and a text stating that my order is arriving soon. The delivery is scheduled for Friday Oct 14th between 9 am – 1 pm. On the morning of Friday October 14th at 8:18 am, I received an email and text stating that my Home Depot order is 2 stops away. Now I had no idea what that meant in time. I didn’t know how far away they were or how long it would take them to reach our house. I proceeded to empty the refrigerator and freezer and place everything out on my deck. The temperature was in the high 30s. I then waited for them to arrive.

At 9:30 am a neighbor stopped by, and we were in the garage/driveway talking when a large Penske truck came down the street. It drove past my driveway to the end of the street (we live on a dead-end street), turned around and drove out (I want to stress here that NO ONE got out of the truck and walked up to talk to me or ring my doorbell). Since it didn’t say Home Depot on the truck, I thought they must be delivering to someone else on our street. At 9:45 am I received a text from The Home Depot that stated “We couldn’t complete your delivery. We will call to reschedule order **…”. I waited about 20 minutes, and no one called.

At this point I began to try and find out what happened. I first tried to call the person in the appliance department at Home Depot that sold me the appliances. She was not there but the person I talked to said she would try to help. I told my story to the person on the other end of the line. I was placed on hold for some time. When she came back to the phone, she was sorry, but I would have to wait until the delivery people called me. Then I tried calling the number in the email I received that stated “We’re sorry the delivery couldn’t be completed because:

    • A problem occurred before a delivery was attempted

    • Or a problem occurred at the final delivery.

We will be giving you a call to reschedule or call our support hotline at 800-455-3869.”

I told my story to the person on the other end of the line. I was placed on hold for some time. She referred me to someone else. This behavior was continued for 6 different people. I told my story; I was placed on hold for some time and then transferred to the next person. By the time I reached the last person (I was told this was the manager of the Home Depot in Marysville), I was way beyond upset, angry and in disbelief that a customer could be treated the way I had been treated for the past 2 1/2 hours. (I do want to apologize for the language I used during some of the conversations as I have not used those words in a very long time or ever.)

During my conversation with the store manager, I find out that the delivery people could not make the delivery because their truck was too big to back into my driveway. They would have to find a smaller truck and would call me to reschedule the delivery. As I told the store manager (and would have told the delivery people had they talked to me), it was ok to park on the street and walk the appliances up the driveway. I live on a dead-end street and at 9:30 in the morning there is no traffic on the street. She came back with a lot of “I’m sorry, ma'am” and then proceeded to tell me it wasn’t Home Depot’s fault. It was the delivery people’s fault.

She also stated that the delivery people would call me in 24 to 72 hours to reschedule. By this time, it was Friday afternoon, and I knew I would not hear from them until Monday. All of my appliances are unhooked and in the middle of my kitchen! What am I supposed to do until the delivery people can deliver my appliances? “I’m sorry, ma'am”. I swear all the customer service people I talked to have a manual in front of them with the title ‘How to Handle an Upset and Angry Customer”. If the customer says this, you say that.

Monday morning a man called me and said they could deliver my appliances on Tuesday. I told him that would not work for us as my husband had a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday and we would not be home. We agreed on Wednesday morning. I told him it was OK for them to park on the street if their truck was too big for the driveway. I also told him that no one talked to me Friday about the truck being too big for the driveway and if they had I would have told them it was OK to park on the street. He told me they were going to make the delivery in a smaller truck Wednesday morning. I told him ‘good, because if they didn’t deliver on Wednesday, I was going to cancel the order’.

Tuesday evening, I received a computerized phone call from Home Depot stating my delivery would arrive on Wednesday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Wednesday morning, I again emptied my refrigerator and freezer and awaited the delivery. At 3:30 pm I called the support hotline. I was told that the delivery people were at my house at 12:45 pm and their truck was too big to pull into our driveway. She said they would have to reschedule the delivery and bring it in a smaller truck. I told her I did not see any delivery trucks on my street or driveway, no one knocked on my door, rang my doorbell or called me. She said they would have to get a smaller truck and they could deliver the appliances on Thursday.

At this point I could not believe what I was hearing. I asked her how she would feel if it happened to her. She said it wouldn’t bother her at all. It was a minor inconvenience compared to what she had been through this year. She was dealing with cancer and not receiving a delivery on time was not a big deal. At this time, I told her I wanted the order canceled. She said she could do that, and the order was canceled.

I did a contract with the Home Depot to have a fence built that involved a special order for material (vinyl boards). I thought I would eliminate rotting of the traditional wood material. The contract required me to pay in advance for the project and at the time I trusted that the job would go as planned. The fence contractor arrived and said they would not do the job because there was not two feet of clearance of the fence line required in the contract and left.

I immediately called the Home Depot and requested a refund because the contractor would not do the job. I was refunded for the labor portion of the project but was not refunded for the material because it was a special order. I tried to find an alternate builder on my own but none of them wanted anything to do with the vinyl material.

To meet Home Depot's terms, I would need to cut down my Oleander bushes to give the fence line two feet of clearance. These Oleander bushes provide my home with privacy and would take too long to regrow, so we decided not to do this. The real problem is the Home Depot contract can be used as a license to steal and is used this way too often.

I later found that many fence contracts stipulate they must have two feet of clearance but since they are normally paid at the completion of the project, they will do the project anyway so that they can get paid. The Home Depot installer used the contract and the special-order material to try to get me to do their work as their demands would have resulted in me doing the fence demolition.

The terms of a Home Depot any contract need to be avoided. My biggest error here was entering into a contract with the Home Depot. My advice to anyone is avoid contracts with the Home Depot, find alternatives. Furthermore, I will not convenience shop at that Home Depot and for that matter any Home Depot in the future.

Ordered a dishwasher that was on sale from Bozeman Store on the 10th of September. Was told by the salesperson it would be delivered in 5 to 6 business days. Waited and no word. Called the week after and was told it was scheduled to be delivered on the 23rd. On the 25th, called customer service. Was told it would arrive on the 24th. Remember, I called on the 25th. Was told they would see if it arrived and call me back, didn't. Today is October 1. Called and now no answer. Used their virtual chat to get transferred to their "live" representative. Was told again that it was in transit. That was it. That was all they had to tell me. This was supposed to be a birthday present but now it's become a nightmare. This was supposed to be delivered to the store due to our address is too far away to deliver to our home. No communication, nothing. Just left wondering. My husband feels like hell, my birthday present turned into a nightmare. Thanks Home Depot!

I understand if I wanted to return it. But 2 hrs later? Not 2 weeks, not 2 days, but 2 hours. I didn’t want to return it, I wanted to exchange for one that works. I was told to go through the manufacturer. I need a generator NOW. This is a Predatory policy IMO.

They said had to re-order the item again and send it to the store. for another week of wait. I never liked the Home Depot because I think they are really bad but this one really tops it all.

I patiently waited a week and after not receiving the items I contacted them again for a refund. The new representative, Logan, said they do not refund on items not delivered. He refused to honor what the previous rep said, and refused to transfer me to a supervisor, basically told me I was SOL with no recourse. I have never dealt with a supposedly legitimate company that refuses refunds on items not delivered. Is that not literally theft? I will NEVER shop at Home Depot again. Delivery drivers did not relay that we needed to inspect the product before they left. They just left. So when I called for help we were placed on hold. They promised to call back and never did. We had to call back to try and get some answers. They said it's not their problem and there was nothing that could be done. We spent over $5000 on new appliances and we will NEVER again. The estimator came to my home and stated he could put the flooring over my kitchen tile and put a transition piece to cover a couple of millimeters in height from dining area and kitchen. The other two estimators who came to my home had stated the same.

When evaluating my estimates from three companies, I decided HD was my company of choice. I applied for the Projects card and was ready to move forward. The associate at HD reached out and said my estimate is now higher. They will only warranty the flooring after pulling the tile out of the kitchen. Ridiculous, messy and an unnecessary expense! I asked to speak to the estimator and was told he was a subcontractor and I can’t speak with him. Then I asked to speak with the installation company. Apparently, they have one point of contact at a “call-in“ number and they don’t speak to the two contractors involved. One company for estimating, one for installation and their “call-in” coordinators. It’s the most convoluted process ever!

I asked to speak to the store manager and he wasn’t available. then I went to another HD and tried to speak with a manager…not available. The department manager finally called back and was incredibly rude. Moral in the store is rock bottom. I tore up the credit card and went with a local company. The owner came out and said it wasn’t necessary to pull up tile. They did a beautiful job and I’m pleased. Home Depot has horrible customer service, processes in place which are frustrating. Hi there, I came to the Oregon city, OR Home Depot to get a bunch of rebar for my fiancé. Well I wasn't dressed for the part. So now I'm trying to figure out how I was going to do get these dirty rusty heavy bars onto the cart...and an awesome employee of yours named Adam (who works in the parking lot and loading section) happened to walk by me. He caught me with that 'I'm screwed' look on my face while giving him a Man nod as he walked by. Unbeknownst to me Adam was taking his final break before he was off in an hour. Adam grabs a big cart and circles around to me and says, "Here this should make it easier, would you like some help? Which ones are you needing to load up and how many?" HE SAVED ME!!

Now his attitude/kindness was literally the best part of the whole thing. Not only did he help me load the rebar twice (I messed up in the size) he ALSO took the time to help me cut the rebar in half due to the fact it would NOT fit in my car the way it was. He also informed me in the most respectful way that this wasn't a normal thing but he would help me this one time due to my situation. Now meanwhile as I'm dancing around trying to help in any way possible, this OTHER employee came up and said and I quote, "wow, Your LUCKY Adam is helping you because NO ONE else would have cut those!" He said this in the rudest way and also I had originally asked that same employee if he would help me find/load some rebar and he literally said, "ma'am I'm busy right now!" turned around and walked away in the most disrespectful way.

Once again that was THE OTHER employee who was working in lumber department. He was just standing there glaring at us, from a couple aisles down the ENTIRE time Adam helped me. So I know he wasn't busy. As I'm making comments about the rude man staring at us Adam proceeds to tell me how that guy is actually a really cool employee and has his back when he needs help in the lumber section. Once again Adam is the most respectful kind employee I've ever had the pleasure meeting in ANY home depot.

Now a co-worker walks by and asked Adam if he took his break, AND THAT'S WHEN I ABOUT FELL OVER! I had No idea he was on his break!! He didn't even hesitate to jump into action and help me. I seriously WISH there were more employees like Adam there. He stayed with me until the very end (past the time of when he was supposed to be off) and even helped me by wrapping them up so they didn't fly around in my vehicle!

For the record, I am in this home depot on a weekly basis. That day I was caught off guard by my fiancé's frantic phone call because one of the guys underestimated the amount or rebar they needed to finish the job. So I didn't have any time to grab gloves and proper shoes etc etc And what was going to be a complete disaster ended up being the BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN HOME DEPOT ALL BECAUSE OF ADAM. I can't tell you how much I appreciate his help, kindness, RESPECT, and his absolute never say die spirit!! THANK YOU ADAM FOR GIVING ME THE BEST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN HOME DEPOT!!

TO THE MANAGERS: Other employees should watch Adam and how he interacts with customers. Hopefully they follow his lead. If everyone on the team was as helpful and respectful as Adam, this home depot would be featured as the #1 home depot for customer experience and satisfaction out of all of the stores!!! Lastly, I've literally told everyone on my fiancé's contracting team to go to this store and ask for Adam if they need help. Most of them were going to the Clackamas store but per my instructions (and their trust in me) said they would go to this home depot for now on because Adam had my back. Yes, It means that much to me. My fiancé is the lead on the team and can't thank Adam enough. He will be writing a review as well! Sincerely your happiest customer Tess.

The customer service here is truly terrible. I placed an order in store on June 25th for a washer and a dryer. The agent repeated back to me that I was getting a washer and a dryer. I paid and left. Two weeks later something told me to verify that the right washer was put on the order because I specifically did not want an agitator. I pull up the order in my email and see that the agent placed an order for 2 dryers. I acknowledge that this is partially on me for not looking at the receipt, but because the agent said the washer and the dryer when confirming the order, I trusted that it was for the correct items. I chatted into their text line, explain what happened and the agent told me I could cancel part of the order and order the washer or I could cancel the entire order and they would place the order for the washer and dryer.

I confirmed and they told me that I would receive my refund in 3-5 business days. At no point did the agent ask me how I paid. If they had, I would have told them I paid with a debit card. So I wait and keep checking my account to see if the refund was processed. Today is the 6th business day. I chat in again to make sure the order was truly canceled. The agent this morning told me that my refund could not be processed because I paid with a debit card and I would need to go into the store. No one bothered to contact me and tell me that my refund could not be processed. I was in the area of the store this past weekend and could have gone to have my debit card refunded. I’m 9 months pregnant. It's not exactly easy for me to get someone to take me all the way over there for a mistake I did not make.

I called the support line and the first person I spoke to said they would try to help, but when they put me on hold, it rerouted me to the main line. So I had to explain for a second time why I am dissatisfied. The agent again attempted to process the refund and it was rejected, but not before telling me that appliance refunds take 7-10 business days, not 3-5. I get placed on a hold and eventually I am told that they are going to send me a check. They did not offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience and delay of having to wait for my refund and essentially taking my $1,500 hostage. I’ve worked in customer service a long time and I know this is not how things should be handled.

This is a bit long, but I’m hoping you please read all of it. I’ve been waiting on the finish of my renovations to post this for the end result. I started a kitchen renovation last October. Worked with a designer from Home Depot. She was difficult from day one, and at times rude. Annoyed at any of my changes. I thought that was the idea of a designer, was to help you get the right fit for your space and needs. Unfortunately, Lowe's could not do the things I needed in their mid line cupboards. Was promised my custom order cabinets from Home Depot for the last week of November. Enio took the week of December 12th off to allow for a couple week delay. Cupboards did not show up.

When I started to press the designer in December about the delivery, she would not take my calls or answer my emails. I find out the first week of January that she retired December 31st. I guess the reason of her lack of enthusiasm for my order. As the order showed up January 14th, it was clear there were issues from the moment we opened them. As we started installing, drawers were breaking, doors were falling apart, there was damage to several pieces and somehow the sink cabinet was water damaged?? Worse, the island was completely the wrong color and there were many wrong cabinets. The designer missed the measurements. The window wall was short space by 9” for the cabinets. The over range cabinets allowed only 19” of space to the range hood. Code is 30”. My 48” gas range is in her pictures.

The pantry wall had 3 sets, to be 24” deep, one of the uppers was only 12” deep. I guess to attach to thin air?? The designer sold me $400 worth of soft close hinges as she said my order did not come with them, but they did. She should know her product. The pantry wall was 5 1/4” from the ceiling when the rest of the cabinets are 4 1/4”. Leaving issues with the crown moulding. The island is a very, very dark grey, nearly black which was to be light grey for a mild contrast to the white cabinets. The fridge upper and panels are so tight, you can hardly fit the fridge. Etc, etc, etc.

As I obviously made complaints to Home Depot immediately. I was given what they call a resolution specialist. This person promised everything fixed. By this point I have been living with no workable kitchen for 3 months. 7 people. The specialist took longer and longer to get back to me, each time promising answers by the end of day. One of his emails, tells me that he has such serious problems far greater than mine that I was not a priority. He said things as gas and roof leaks. SCARY TO THINK OF BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS! It took until March for the order to go back to the cabinet maker for correct cabinets. Then several more weeks to get the doors replaced. I canceled their counter people as I would never use Home Depot again. My deposit for the counter I’m told is at the Woodstock location as a store credit and I can go drive and pick it up. Originally, I was told to consider it a service fee?

I was promised compensation for all the trouble and the wrong island colour. At the end of all of this ridiculous situation, my resolution was NOTHING. The BBB tried to resolve things but we were unsuccessful. Home Depot’s answer is they gave me $2,800 is extra cabinets. The cupboards I got were the replacement ones that were wrong and damaged. One of the replacement cabinets fell apart as we were placing it up. Their holes, fasteners etc. we had to L bracket to reinforce and create completely new screw holes, glue it and more. They sent no fasteners for any of the new drawer fronts. Most of the replacement doors are mitred very poorly.

This was to be a very exciting project and beautiful custom kitchen for me. It has been completely ruined by this company. I’m my eyes a horrible, horrible rude, lying company. I urge anyone who needs goods like what the Home Depot Carrie’s that you find another store. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE HOME DEPOT FOR ANYTHING AGAIN. As there are still unresolved problems that they do not want to address, I have had to hire a lawyer.

When I finally made my decision I have the sample to my contractor (I had to go to work) to pick up the stain. He gave them the paint sample. They mixed the wrong base, they made it oil base instead of water based and it changed the color drastically (dark red). It looked horrible! Fortunately the contractor had done 2/4 of the deck and I was able to stop him.

I went back to Home Depot and have told them what had happened, of course, they blamed it on the contractor but how could you go wrong when you have the literal paint can with the details in front of you. I told them the contractor is charging me $1500 to sand it off. He could not use the remover because now it was oil based. I put in a claim with Home Depot to have my reimbursement of $1500 due to their mistake. They pushed my claim from department to department and I still have not heard from them since March - it is now June? I have experienced the absolute worse customer service in my life. I placed an online order from Home Depot for a GE Washing Machine, order #** on 5/14 and it was delivered and installed by Home Depot’s installation contractors. We did not use the washer for about a week but when we did we discovered water on the floor, upon looking further, I notice a small drip of water coming from the hot and cold water inlets and I also realized that the hoses that were installed were not the stainless steel hoses that was part of the install kit I had paid for. I called customer service and they scheduled a service call to come out and make the corrections.

When the 2nd crew of installers came out with the correct hoses, they told my wife that the first crew had damaged the water inlets to the washer and they would have to be repaired but they could not do it, and we could not use the washer until it was repaired. They were going to make an appointment with an appliance repair company to come out. This was on a Friday and on Monday I had not heard from anyone, so I called customer service again and explained the situation. The lady I spoke with told me that GE was going to replace the machine instead of repairing it so the new installation was scheduled for 6/11.

The new crew showed up at 11:15AM but told me they did not have a washer but were only there for a service call. They reconnected the water hoses and there was a small drip. They replaced the water hoses again and that sort of stopped the water leak, but they said they were recommending that the machine be replaced and their company would place the order but gave me a Home Depot phone number to call just to verify that it was received. After they left I called the number and spoke with a representative who told me that in no certain terms would I be receiving a replacement model that I had not called before the 48hr period after it was installed. He told me that the Home Depot representative that told me I was getting a replacement unit had made a mistake and it was not going to be replaced as he kept telling me that “it’s off the table”. He wanted to schedule another service call.

At this point I am tired of service calls. We had not been able to use the washer in over a week so we have been inconvenienced and there is wood flooring under the washer that got stained from the leaking water hose. I told him that I would keep an eye on the hoses to see if they were still leaking and if they were, I would call GE or Home Depot Warranty to come out. When I told him that I was greatly disappointed in Home Depot’s customer service, he offered me a $100 off the price of the washer, but like I told him I don’t want the money. I want a washer that works and is not leaking. I also asked him to escalate my call to I higher tier but he refused.

In a later email to customer service they told me that the installation service providers are contracted through GE and Home Depot is only the retailer of the merchandise. I’m other words I am the customer but once Home Depot gets your money it’s somebody else’s problem. If this is the way they treat their customers, I’ll spend my money somewhere else and I have because about two days after this my freezer went out so I spent my money with Lowes.

I talked to the supervisor who was rude and female. No one could give me an explanation as to why my credit card interest is higher than my husband's credit card. I pay my card on time and pay extra on my payments. My husband's Home Depot credit card interest is 2% lower than my card. The amount he owes is much higher. Our total income is the same and we pay the same bills. Both of us work and both of us have businesses. Home Depot discriminates against women. I will no longer do business or purchase items from Home Depot. I will encourage other women and men to do the same.

Spend 30 min in store afterwards trying to find out what happened. Customer support was able to tell me purchase dates and times, store, register, etc, but was unable to tell me what was purchased on the card. This is such a scam! Home Depot keeps records of all purchases. I know that from returning items previously. The only reason they would not be able to disclose the items purchased is if they had something to hide. I will never accept or buy a Home Depot gift card again.

We reported this issue to Home Depot and they offered no assistance whatsoever. Although they sold, delivered, and installed a defective machine, they wiped their hands clean of this transaction since we identified the problem outside of their 48-hour time window. Now, we need to go to the manufacturer for assistance and a potential repair on a 1-week old washing machine. Home Depot, please be better than this. Today, I called to confirm a 6/10 pick up. The courteous person at the call center said that the status of 6/10 had suddenly changed to 6/13 as she logged in. She then called the “resolution center” who “resolved” the issue by repeating the same story. I have a good contractor who is cooling his heels waiting for this. Not to mention it is expensive! I immediately contacted customer service. They were supposed to schedule a pickup of the delivery and it was recommended that in order to get the item I wanted I would need to place another order and pay for it again. They will not refund my money until the order is picked up. I have now been waiting for over a week to get the items picked up. Called Customer Service again and they cannot tell me when the item will be picked up.

In the meantime, the second set that I ordered, was delivered, however, I refused the delivery because the item number was different than what I ordered. I again called Customer Service and this time they told me that the order # may be different than what was ordered online. They also stated they would expediate the pickup of the first order and the delivery of the new order. I am now out over $1400 and do not have a patio set. Every time a call is made to Customer Service a different answer is given. I will never shop at Home Depot again and do not recommend anyone else doing so. The first delivery was cancelled because apparently they don't know what they are doing and had ordered the wrong type of truck and the driver refused to load the shed. The second delivery date was cancelled for reasons that elude me. I made a call (the delivery was cancelled via email late the night before the delivery was expected) to inquire and the manager of one store spoke with another and worked it all out for the delivery to happen - however the next day when I called to confirm I was lectured about how that could not possibly happen - speaking with a total of 5 people before finally cancelling the order completely.

Beware of Home Depot!!! They have become abusive to their customers. I have been a loyal customer since 2006 with a HD credit card and since the 1980s as a cash customer. HD just decreased my credit limit without any notice whatsoever due to “inactivity.” Yes, inactivity – COVID took care of most “activity” for me and for much of our country. Lockdowns and restrictions prevented a lot of “activity” from happening. Especially for people who lost their income during that time. Our government allowed tenants to not pay rent, excused student loans, provided unemployment benefits for people and gave out stimulus checks. But HD doesn’t care a whit about lack of “activity” due to those circumstances. Some automaton simply decreased my credit limit, which now has negatively impacted my pristine credit score.

Did I contact them about this? After wasting an hour of my life (and at 70+ there’s not a whole lot of hours left) with their impossible-to-navigate AI (Artificial Ignorance) menu-thon, I got a human who said nothing could be done; just apply for an increase (and further impact my credit score). Nope. Something CAN be done: simply reverse the decrease. HD just REFUSES to do it. Now that I am finally starting on a new home build, they apparently want me to go to Lowes. So I’ll either go to Lowes or use my Amex card and let HD pay the high merchant fee. It’s a bad business model and a sure recipe for failure to treat loyal customers this way, especially in this economy.

I bought a Frigidaire range from Home Depot on May 2. It is defective, and the oven doesn't shut off. Although I tested it right away, I did not learn about this problem within 48 hours. It was maybe 60 hours. Frigidaire policy is that after 48 hours, it is a repair not a replace or refund. Home Depot is well aware of this policy, and has no means to repair or service appliances, not here, and not anywhere near here. They were rude, incompetent and condescending. They have twice accused me of lying about whether I reported the defect to Frigidaire. I tried to give them the confirmation number of that report and they didn't want it. Why? Because they don't care.

After lots of phone calls, emails and anguish, Frigidaire found a Sears repair service an hour away. They can come between 8 ad 5 on July 5th! Will they have the right parts? Doubtful. In the meantime I have no means to cook. I have to turn the circuit breaker on and off, which is downstairs and difficult for me to reach. I'm a senior citizen. My brother is disabled. Guess what? Home Depot doesn't care. They have a twitter account @HDCares, but they do not. How can they know this policy, and still sell appliances they know they cannot service? Not one person at HD has apologized or even tried to help. Their manager said, "Nobody repairs anything any more, hahahah! Remember the old days with TV repairmen? That's over." Don't ever buy anything from them and expect them to care. They don't. Write to your legislators, and file complaints with your state DATCP, and the BBB.

Resolved on 5/14 and to make a long story short, Home Depot made it right. The issue here is that although you purchase from 1 company there are 3 parties involved. The vendor (in this case Samsung) who has horrible customer service and an outsourced delivery team. Home Depot is the orchestrator and seems to have little control or influence on the other 2. Overall I think Home Depot did everything they could to try and make this right.

Ordered appliances in February with 8 week lead time. One appliance arrived damaged and was refused and Home Depot says now I have to deal with the vendor to resolve. It's been nearly 3 months since they took my money and I am caught in a bad nightmare. I am stuck with 50% of what I ordered, no replacement in stock, and find myself in the middle of Home Depot and their vendor. Do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable company. By the way there is no guarantee the replacement will match what you ordered and if you happen to buy a pair or matching set you will be screwed. Every time you call, you hear someone will contact you in 48 hours. At present time I have been kicked to the middle of May for something ordered and paid for in Feb and promised in April.

I looked at the other two items still in process status not moving. Those items I needed before Friday as stated online.

I called customer service to check on my purchase. They had no idea why those items were taking so long. I told them, “I took off work expecting my order. Taking off takes away my time.” I decided to cancel late Monday because they had no idea and my items weren’t moving in the system at all based on what I saw on tracking my packages. They said, “I had to wait until my order was shipped from the vendor!” Home Depot won’t release the vendor’s contact information! They claim, “They don’t have it.” How can they have business with a business without contact information?

I threatened to sue. The first time I thought I would ever have to go to small claims because they refused to refund me. I even spoke to a supervisor. She was rude! She didn’t care! I asked, “How can you keep my money for an order I never received? Nor do you know how long I’ll have to wait to receive it?” She said, “It may be on back order.” I said, “That’s fraudulent! I was about two minutes away from calling an attorney later that day. I called Home Depot again making sure they didn’t change their mind. Once I go legal, there’s no turning point!

Another lady (not even a supervisor) explained, “She saw where they had over 3,000 lawn mowers of the kind I ordered and most likely it was delayed because of orders.” She sent a ticket because even she said, “If it’s still in the warehouse, most likely I wouldn’t receive it by the 5th.” Finally a person with common sense! Less than an hour afterwards, I got confirmation it was shipped by UPS! I will never use these people again! Their online service is atrocious! They will not want to refund you! On Wednesday (3/16) I found some items on their site that I wanted, and they promised delivery by Friday 3/18. I placed the order, on Friday, I checked the status of the order, their site still said I could expect it today. However, when I checked the UPS tracking numbers provided, it said they had printed the label, but UPS didn't have the packages yet. So how is it possible that it could be that they would arrive today. I called the number provided on my order, and was told by a representative there that it was because my payment hadn't gone through (total lie). That conversation ended, and I decided to go another route (if the rep is already lying to you, you won't get anywhere with them). So, I went through their chat system on the website. That person said he could not cancel it because the system told them it was already shipped, even though it obviously hasn't (according to UPS).

I got to a manager, who wanted my phone number to call me back. He said that I would have to wait 3 days, if the packages hadn't progressed any further according to UPS after 3 days then I would get a refund. Otherwise, I would have to (a) refuse the shipment or (b) take the packages into the store for a refund. This company doesn't care about their customers being happy, they just want to hold on to your money for as long as they can while holding a "carrot" out in front of you of either finally, getting your merchandise long after they said you would get it, or get a chance at arguing again for a refund.

I ordered a bathroom vanity online and opened a home depot credit card to get the discount on my purchase. The box delivered to me had multiple holes in it and pieces of the vanity were falling out, visibly broken. It was also the wrong color. I hauled it back to the store to return, expecting to exchange it for the SAME VANITY (correct color, not damaged). They told me I could get a new one, but it would NOT be an even swap. It would be $75 more since I had 'already used' the coupon for opening an account. The manager was rude and told me no exceptions.

We recently purchased a large shower enclosure online from Home Depot. We had to resort to online shopping as none were in stock. The delivery process was terrible. Item was ordered on Dec. 20. Today is March 4th. The updates kept telling us 4 more days, 4 more days. When it arrived in Edmonton we were not given a delivery date. Somehow, without us knowing it was delivered on the 1st of March and we did not find out about it until March 3rd. It sat out on the walkway up to our house for 2 or 3 days!!! We still did not get any notification that it had been delivered. I had called the delivery company Day and Ross on the 28th of February and again on March 1st. No delivery date.

I contacted Home Depot customer service and this is their response; "Your order will be delivered to the closest dry area outside your home; typically the front door, porch or driveway. Shipments will be delivered as an NSR (No Signature Required). Our carriers will not contact you unless you opt out of this: There is currently no ability to “opt-out” of NSR service for all orders, however, if you are having a large item delivered (over 70lbs) and would like the carrier to book an appointment, please contact Customer Service as soon as you receive your order confirmation." I presented the original receipt and item to customer service. The inexperienced & arrogant rep. said, "It's NOT on the receipt OR the Credit Card". (She NEVER even read the receipt or UPC code on item to be returned. Only scanned bar code on receipt.) She attempted to dismiss return transaction entirely. I confronted her and pointed out the item IS on receipt and product codes DO match. And ONLY then I received a refund. There are some good customer service reps and some that need to be AVOIDED and REMOVED completely. Beware who you're dealing with and always have your original receipt or you may be dismissed and NOT get your refund on the Credit Card. And don't let them issue you a "STORE CREDIT". You eventually will be BANNED from a returning item w/out a receipt. What a way to start off the day. POOR! In addition, she didn't want give me back my original receipt. WOW!

They also will have a credit limit on a home depot card increased without the customer's approval so that they can pay the contractors. ON February 11, 2022, I was at work when UPS delivered the Dryer, but for an unexplained reason would not leave the Washer. When I returned home much to my dismay, not only was the washer not there but the Dryer was dented in about 6 places and sounded like a garbage disposal when I turned it on.

I called Home Depot and told them what happened. A so called Manager, Steve said he would arrange for a refund for the washer, but UPS would have to pick up the dryer because it was delivered through them. I disagreed and said the dryer was junk!, and he said he would contact Homedepot.com, so far all I have received is a Big run around so much I have told everyone there I will filed charges of Fraud and theft because they are not returning my money and someone picked up the dryer yesterday claiming to be a manager from home depot and so far they claim not to have either appliance and I am not going to get any refund!, How do I find someone to help me? I cannot afford to just give them my money. It is Fraud and theft on their part. South Common Edmonton Home Depot. Relatively small project order, lumber, boards, countertop. Supposed to arrive before end of Dec., no show no call. Very hard to get answers where is the order. Shows up damaged Jan 7. Re-order supposed to arrive by Jan 12. Since that date spoke with 3 different managers. First one who placed the order (Raj) promises callback. I call him repeatedly because he doesn't call back. Gave up on him. Spoke with another manager (forgot name) who promises to find out where it is... again a promise of a callback and no callback. Call again last week, speak with another "manager" (Melissa) who again promises to call back with an answer and, no surprise... no callback.

I called finally fed up to the store, cancel the order for the countertop and tell them to fetch the other boards and lumber for the project and refund it. No apologies, no regrets for a massively disappointing experience, but at least an agreement to refund both purchases and another delivery charge back on them. Imagine a company that is so bad that even the managers don't care about what image they project. While it reflects badly on these "managers" for being so bad, it reflects even worse on Home Depot that all of their managers don't care and are this bad at their job.

I ordered a black stainless steel dishwasher on 12/19, my expected delivery date was 12/28 and it did indeed come on 12/28. We’re in the middle of a rehab so when the men delivered it they asked me where I wanted it, I showed them where they placed it, and then I signed for it. My husband came home 2 days later to open it and put it in and we noticed on the right side it was damaged. Thankfully I called within the 48 hour period. The lady at Home Depot customer service was super nice and helpful. She put the reorder in and our delivery date was scheduled for 1/7. Well January 7th came and I received no call or email so I called, I was told that in the system it does show I’m suppose to get a delivery but the warehouse didn’t load the dishwasher and now our new date is 1/15.

On January 11th I got a email that due to the delay at my local warehouse they had to change my delivery date to 1/22. I didn’t call. I was patient and understood. So today 1/22 our delivery shows up and it’s not the right dishwasher!!! They loaded the truck with the wrong one! I call to try and get this resolved because at this point now it’s just annoying, they offer me 5% off my purchase only because they couldn’t get ahold of the warehouse to see what’s going on and that I would get a call on Monday. Don’t purchase big purchases online or from Home Depot. So disappointed in this whole experience.

I gave this a 5 star review because it's a 5 star on abuse towards a paying customer, 5 stars in negligence, 5 stars in zero accountability and 5 stars in lack of transparency. I ordered a double basin farm house sink on HomeDepot.ca and it was supposed to arrive over a month ago. It broke and I didn't get a call from them to say what had happened. After I called 5 times an associate at the store where I was supposed to pick it up (Home Depot Ancaster) read me the notes in the file. Someone from HD had written that UPS had to pay for the sink and order a new one, which no one did. I went on to order it and when then head office reordered one as well, and then I got an email saying one of the orders had been cancelled.

My 2nd sink was supposed to arrive on Jan 7th, nothing happened. The tracking said that it had left Brantford on the 5th of January. After many phone calls an associate at Home Depot Ancaster named Donna, was finally able to track it down and clarify for me. The sink ended up in another store and they refused to return it to me! Best part is the HomeDepot.ca, again neglected to notify me or reimburse me. It seems like they ordered another one. I don't have any information as to when my sink will be arriving. I cannot put counters in my kitchen nor backsplash - which is the least important thing in a kitchen.

This is appallling behaviour on the part of a retailer. It's sneaky to not inform the paying customer what is happening. My friend had a similar experience at Lowe's. She bought a barbecue and it got delivered to the wrong store. A manager drove out there, retrieved the barbecue and it was sold to them half price for the inconvenience and they got gift cards to the store and the garden centre. Now that's service! Next time go to Lowe's! Cindy

I informed her to look at the paint cans (obviously purchased before). She would not stop insisting I pay for everything! I requested the store manager she ignored my request. Another employee stepped in and reached out to the store manager.. Mind you the whole time the self checkout employee would not stop harassing me. I was so irritated I asked her to shut up and leave me alone. I will ask the store man to check my integrity vie receipt. She keep harassing me (I did not know she was responsible for the store security).

Anyways Jeff the store manager asked what he could do. I informed Jeff that I am being not only accused but harassed by their its employee who still would not shut up! I had to ask him if he could have her be quiet while I explain. He did but it did not last long. So over her loud voice I showed him the paint cans & the receipt of what I purchased to prove my innocence. He belittled me by telling me I do not need to shop there anymore and I should leave the store. Not to return.

All I wanted to do was purchase a few items and have obvious pre-purchased paint shaken. I leave the store. After t sat in what happened I reach out to Home Depot headquarters or official site. And I found I was ignored, and if not being ignored I was given false information on who to contact. So in return for being a customer I was harassed, accused, told never to come back, ignored, belittled. Wasted my time! All I wanted was to stop in and purchase a few items and have previously purchased paint shakened.

They tried calling a couple hours before drop off, but I work at a prison where we cannot bring phones into the facility. I thought they would just drop it off. They left me a message saying the house looked vacant so they didn’t leave it. It was, I am remodeling it. I called them and they spoke to me about redelivery. I asked how late they deliver, they said to 9. I get off work at 3:30, so that would leave plenty of time for them to redeliver. They said they will redeliver it during that time frame. I waited a week without any contact. Contacted the 24/7 Home Depot text support and explained the situation. After a few questions about what assistance I required, I received no response.

Received an email that my order was delivered. I had some friends come with me to help move it inside, but nothing was there. Tried contacting the text support again after being on hold forever, no response. Then I received a notification shortly after that my returned item had been received and they refunded me my money. Contacted the Home Depot customer support again, with no help. I really wanted this vanity, and would have reordered, but it was on sale and is now over 50% more. I made hundred calls to Home Depot who said they were not responsible for the appliance after delivery & transferred me to Whirlpool. I was shunted between the 2 parties many times, finally got someone from local Whirlpool support to take a look.

The Whirlpool agent from local store told me there is nothing they could do as the dryer itself was in good condition & the problem was with the breaker. I had to spend $200 out of my pocket to fix the breaker, then the dryer worked finally. My humble suggestion, request - please don't purchase home appliances at Home Depot, instead purchase appliances from local stores who will stand by the product they sell/install and will be available for any issues if they arise after delivery (like the one I experienced.)

I recently ordered a dishwasher from homedepot.com. The dishwasher took a month to arrive, then the truck was late. I finally got the dishwasher on Nov 29. We work so we didn't install until Dec 4, Saturday. We removed the wrapping and the pallet from the bottom of the dishwasher and noticed the metal bars that support the feet were bent. Then we could not put the trim on the side because the metal was separated. Then we noticed a crease in the trim line at the bottom of the door. We called and reported the dent, and the person said, "Go ahead and install it and we will use it until the service person could arrive." I got a service person email notice to arrive on 12/6. I stayed home waiting for 4 hours - no show, no call. Finally got in touch with someone who said, "No you have no appt." He booked a new service appt for 12/9. He came out, tried adjusting the feet. What a waste of time.

Today the service rep reported to Home Depot and said the door is bent and everything else is normal "wear and tear"! So because we didn't report damage in 48 hours we have no recourse. So now I have this piece of crap looking dishwasher and to replace the door they want to charge me for the service trip and the door and labor, well over the cost of the dishwasher due to the electronics. Their suggestion, buy another dishwasher if I am not happy. I realize they have the policy of 48 hours but we have a small business to run and didn't have time to have the thing apart to inspect. We called immediately during install.

I am not a dishonest person and would in no way make a false claim. I have been waiting for a dishwasher to be available since APRIL. This is very sad state that they can take my $855 and there nothing I can do. There are no exceptions!!! I will never enter a Home Depot again. I will NEVER visit a Home Depot store again, and will do my best to ensure that anyone that I am associated with, patronizes Home Depot. I ordered a washing machine from you, never imagining that I would be in Home Depot/LG Hell. A vicious circle that was created so home depot and LG together can hold on to a consumers money, and Just play games with them.

The washing machine was delivered to us on 11/27. They tried to deliver it, however it was damaged. We did not accept the delivery. I called the store (home depot) and was informed, that it is NOT their issue, that I am a LG person. I stated "I purchased this from home depot" and the store informed me that I am not their problem - EXACT WORDS.

I called LG, which they had already received the pictures of the damage. They indicated someone would contact me in 24 hours. Of course, no phone call from LG (to date, I have never received a call for them regarding the damaged washing machine). So on Monday, 11/29, I cancelled my order with Home Depot. Home depot indicated that I would have my refund in 3 - 5 days. (Actually on the phone they said 48 hours). So here I am 6 days later, and still no refund. The sad part of all of this, I was a fool and ordered another one from Home depot. Very dumb move on my part.

Today in the store on 12/3, I am informed again, that home depot can no longer help me. They do not refund money on applicances. I DID NOT receive or accept the washing machine due to the damage. I purchased this from Home Depot and they should be the one refunding back to me. I trusted home depot, based up on lowe's and best buy. As of today, I will be a lowe's customer.

I am then informed that LG has not yet released the appliance so I can get a refund I asked how long this takes and they said typically 24 hours. Well guess what.... it has been 6 days. I spoke with LG, and they stated they would escalate this as they do not understand why this has not yet been released and perhaps it is not back to the warehouse? I truly dont care, it's not my issue, and no one, NOT home depot nor LG care about me the consumer. I am caught in a tangled web of lies between home depot and LG.

So as of today I am out $2000 dollars, and still no washing machine. I have NOT been refunded the first one, I have ordered the 2nd one (and paid for it) but yet I have no washing machine to show for all of this. Again, home depot informed me that I am NOT their customer, that I belong to LG. LG will not help me. They stated that I need LG to work out the problem. Again, I ordered this from home depot, not LG. I was NEVER once informed of this when I purchased the washing machine, no one at Home Depot said "Hey after you pay for this, please do not call us, you belong to LG." I would have immediately walked out the door. This has been repeated to me so many times. "Mam, you are an LG customer, not home depot. Does not matter that you purchased from us."

I will never ever ever ever visit a home depot store. I am going to be cancelling the 2nd order as well, as I cant relate to a store that does not support their customers. Please advise what is the steps that need to be taken to get my washing machine refund on this order? My next steps is to take legal action as I am quite sure any legal area would love to see how both home depot and LG DO NOT support the consumer and just continue to find ways to keep the money.

Do not skip this review. IT WILL SAVE you from these vultures. The experience I have been continuing to deal with at Home Depot is nothing short of bait and switch, awful tactics meant to literally steal money and deliver the poorest quality possible. My husband and I began our journey to Home Depot by reading some reviews of available doors and thinking that we would check out Home Depot considering it to be a reliable name. We were wrong. The salesperson at the Home Depot, Bricktown store on Staten Island, Nicholas, showed us some very expensive options, then gave every reassurance that we would not face the debacles we read about regarding their preferred brand, feather creek. That was a lie.

Before we received the poorly crafted door we were called to the store 4 separate times with waiting times at customer service as long as two and a half hours as they fumbled around trying t find the door we were told was waiting there. The door we received several months later for more than 7,200 dollars arrived and after confirming by phone it was in fact there, I again waited, while my contractor pulled the old door out, for more than an hour for the door to get to the front of the store. When I arrived home my contractor discovered the damage.

I called and spoke to The store the manager at their Bricktown location, Fabio, who originally said they would send someone from the company to look at the door and that the manufacturing defect would be covered and replaced by the company. He then went back on that and later said the cracked frame is cosmetic and offered me a crayon and 300 dollars. The back door I ordered came in the wrong color and design, and he tried to convince me that we did something wrong in the ordering process. The garage door was never measured after 6 months. We cancelled the orders for the back door and garage only to learn that 795 dollars was sneakily added to the "no interest credit card" that was offered at the time of purchase.

The company has not sent anyone to examine the door after repeated attempts and it seems that the 7200 purchase that is now 7995 with hidden fees is something we will be stuck with. The store manager does not return calls. Customer service centrally will not help at all despite their kind demeanor in conversations. DO NOT BUY A DOOR FROM THIS STORE. DO NOT GET A Home Depot CREDIT CARD.

Initially, I was told Simonton soundproof 96" French glass doors were available to go with the Simonton Sound and Security windows I was purchasing. After the in-home sales consultation, a deposit, and a couple more visits for measuring, it turned out they weren't available after all, and I would need to settle for Milgard doors that weren't soundproof rated (nice looking doors though). This promise-the-world tactic happened 2 more times when I was also informed a frosted soundproof bathroom window and a frosted transom window in the required sizes were not offered either. I understand you can't always get what you want, but Home Depot's sales team should get their facts straight before you contract with them.

Speaking of contracts, theirs leaves a lot to be desired. The window prices aren't itemized, so you have no means of checking their numbers, all you get is a bottom line. The installers were adequate, did a decent job, although I did notice a lot of ding repairs they made, in a mismatched color, to the stucco ledges beneath the windows. Also, the latches on the 2 sets of French doors were not adjusted properly and was told someone would follow up. I eventually did the adjustments myself when no one showed. Fortunately I had a torx screwdriver and was able to figure it out.

About 3 months later (!), 2 guys showed up totally out of the blue to do the adjustments. We ended up spending over 25K to insulate our home from the airport noise we're exposed to, and in the end, the results were marginal at best. I did notice my energy bill went down after the new Argon gas-filled windows and doors were installed. I was promised 24 months interest-free financing with my new Home Depot credit card but had to call customer service after each of the 3 installments to get them to apply it.

I was also promised a $200 gift card and after several inquiries, I discovered it was something the salesperson was personally sweetening the deal with, not Home Depot. I ended up telling him to forget it, didn't feel right taking it from him. In the end, I can't enthusiastically recommend Home Depot--lots of promises, not all delivered. Their warranty is good and the job did get done, but no wow factor to the process. Shop it out with some local window contractors, then decide which is best for you. Finally, I was surprised Home Depot never followed up on a job this size to see if I was satisfied.

For the last 4-6 months we have been building a house. We've ordered all the windows and doors from Home Depot. They give us lead times that are not met. When we are in store and they tell us they will call us with an update or for any other reason, they do not call. The only way to get any kind of service is to drive to the store and get in the face of someone, only no one there seems to know how to get real information. Most of the time associates cannot operate their computers. For instance, recently a six window order arrived at the store with one of the windows broken. It took me three phone calls and one trip to Home Depot in Cedartown Ga. to get them to reorder the broken window. It seems that would be an automatic thing to do, but it didn't happen.

Two days ago I made a call there to ask that the windows that were in stock to be delivered. It took 27 minutes to get someone on the phone. They kept putting me on hold for someone to pick up the call but they never did. So yesterday I went to the store to ask that the windows be delivered. I waited around 40 minutes and spoke to 3 different associates before one of them actually sat down to a computer to set up a delivery date, and he had to ask another associate to come and help him. It seems that first of all, they do not hire enough help to run the store and secondly they do not train them to do the job. I don't think there is someone in management who knows beans about how to operate a store like Home Depot. No one there takes responsibility for anything. Sad, very sad.

So once I get my money back, I am taking another risk at Home Depot sending me the wrong item again. Beware. Order from Amazon and Lowe's only!!!

After shopping for over an hour, I had an emergency phone call and needed to run outside and asked the girl at the register to watch my cart, and she said yes. I returned three minutes later, and my cart was gone, so I asked the girl who was playing on her phone what happened, and she said she didn't know, said check customer service. I went to customer service and saw my cart, so I told the lady on the phone, "Hey, that's my cart. I've been looking for it." She looked at me and heard everything I said, but she was on the phone, so she didn't respond. I grabbed my cart and went down an aisle to continue shopping.

The loss prevention guy ran up on me like I was robbing the store and ripped the cart away, saying I took it. I said, "what are you doing this in my cart? The lady said she would watch it while I went outside and told me to get it from customer service." Looking at me like I'm a worthless **, he said, "it doesn't matter; I'm taking it. It's the sop." I started walking down the aisle to find the girl who told me to get it, and he started practically chasing me and said on his radio, "he's still in the store and walking away from me," like he's the police, and I'm resisting arrest or something... A guy I'm assuming is a manager popped up, and I told him his guy just took my cart from me and is treating me like a criminal, and he started saying that he was the one who told him to do it, and they started saying "sorry it was just a miscommunication."

After the manager and the loss prevention guy repeated that about five times and said I could continue shopping. I left the store and didn't buy anything. I have been going to this Home Depot for twenty years and have spent tens of thousands of dollars and have never had a problem. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any store in my entire life. I'm sure there could have been a better way to handle it; I was not headed for the doors; I was going in the opposite direction to finish shopping. It makes no sense to me, and it ruined my day. I shared, I had done exactly as instructed and what else I could do, neither would answer my question. Instead was told that will be $100 cleaning fee. I felt they conspired to charge that fee before I even got in door! I will move all my home improvement business to Lowe's.

This store is known as "Home Creepo" to many. You can wander around for days trying to find something and then when you get to the right bin, often don't have the thing you were looking for. Go to the website to find the exact bin, and the information is wrong. Ordered backsplashes online. Picked up to find out the ones I ordered were on top, ones I didn't were concealed within package. They sent me to another location where they said my choice was available. I got there and they did not. The second store said no one had called them to verify even though the first location promised me they had. OK. So those are initial experiences.

Recently I bought a shoe closet to assemble. It was a nightmare. I wrote a warning review. Home Depot won't publish it. Keep saying "something went wrong". I have to conclude was the something that went wrong is they will not publish negative reviews. Unfortunately, this store is ubiquitous and I end up going there often. It pretty much has the market on hardware, home supply stores. But be ready.

I spend a sizable amount of money at Home Depot Annually. The store usually carries the majority of what I need but if it wasn’t in stock I would usually have it shipped to store since I’m in there 1 to 2 times a week minimum anyway. I started having problems with this method because the associates were too lazy to actually look for the products and would ask me to come back at a later date to pick it up because I couldn’t find it so I Decided to start having things shipped to my home they didn’t have in stock but this led to a $27 order not making it to my house and me having to spend hours arguing with Home Depot about a refund.

I was told I had to contact my financial institute to get a refund for something that did not make it to my home. I generally do not ask for refunds even if products are subpar. I just don’t buy that product again but in this case because I didn’t get my product at all I wanted my money back. Eventually they agreed to Refund the measly $27 but I had to threaten to cut up my Home Depot credit card and never use their services again over $27. A company this size should stand behind their online ordering and hold FedEx accountable for not delivering to the correct address, not delivering on time or not delivering at all. I will never use this service again and I will spread some of my money to other big box stores rather than shopping exclusively at Home Depot anymore.

I want to report Home Depot representative's bad attitude for the customer. I have ordered the items on 7/27. When I ordered them, home depot provided the expected delivery date which was 8/5. After 8/5 I haven't received any email or call from home depot store, so I called them more than 10 times to check the status of my order. The representatives provided the information that where my items were. They said the vendor shipped my items to carrier and last Monday when I called to homedepot.com, they said carrier started my items to home depot store. Today when I called home depot to check the status of my order, they said they didn't have my items and they cancelled my order without asking me.

From 7/27 to today, home depot never let me know my order status by email or phone call. Also when I talked with the representative to talk about this issue, she said this was a backorder. But when I ordered it, home depot never provided this was a backorder and the other representative provided the time line of my items. So I have no idea which representatives provided the right information for the customers and also when I asked her name, she didn't provide her name and cut my words and started to play the music so I was forced to stop talking.

Now the items are out of stock and I could not finish my flooring because home depot canceled my order without permission of mine. I have been waiting for my items more than 20 days and made a call to home depot customer services and a store more than 10 times to check my order status. The most big problem is home depot never let me know my order status and some representative did provide the wrong information for the customers. One representative said your item had the timeline and you would receive them on 8/5 and another representative said vendor never shipped your item. The other representative said your order is backorder but when I ordered it, home depot never provided the information that this was a backorder. If this was a backorder how home depot provided the expected delivery date within 2 weeks. I am wasting my precious time because of the misinformation from the representative.

If I could give Home Depot zero stars, I would. I ordered a dishwasher including delivery and installation. After 3 months of the installation company cancelling and rescheduling the install, when they finally came to install they unboxed the dishwasher (that had been left boxed in my kitchen for 2 months after they delivered it but couldn’t install it because they didn’t have the right hose) it was dented and they refused to do anything about it because it had passed the 48 hour post delivery period. If they had delivered and installed the dishwasher on schedule the dent would have been noted at that point.

Every time I tried to call and schedule the delivery they gave me the run around and then they would either just not show up or claim “the truck broke down”. I spent hours upon hours on hold with them, only to be promised something and then have someone else turn around and tell me they would not follow through on their promises. Do yourself a favor, even if it costs a bit more, go to a mom and pop shop that cares about their customers. I will never buy an appliance at Home Depot ever again.

I spent a few thousand dollars on supplies for a new bathroom I was having done at Home Depot in Peoria, AZ. Back in November, I was purchasing floor tiles, wall tiles, faucets, sinks, etc., one of which was Daltile 3”x6” subway tiles for my bathroom walls. Not knowing how many in the end I would need, I specifically asked the manager in the tile dept. at that time if I bought more tiles than I use, as they were open stock could they be returned. He told me absolutely that the Daltile I was purchasing—a 3” x 6” bright white subway tile—could be returnable as you could also purchase them singly. I purchased many boxes of this tile as my receipt showed. No one ever said you couldn’t return 30 of them if they were bought by the box and not separately. Who would buy hundreds of tiles all separately? That only a full case could be returned. A case of 100 tiles sold for $15.00 so $1.50/tile. But, if you bought them singly, they were $.15.

At first, the customer service cashier Reagan in fact was going to give me back the cost of one entire case—$15–but I was kind enough to point out to her that the $15 was for 100 tiles and I was only returning 30 tiles, not 100. From then on, Reagan was completely belligerent, snickering and laughing with the other customer service cashier as she said she wouldn’t refund less than a box of 100. I was refused from returning 30 tiles for a credit on my credit card. They put up such a fight over $4.50. I wanted the refund on my credit card not cash in hand, but was only granted a gift card in the end which I didn’t want as I’m done shopping for the bathroom. Why should I have to spend more money in the Home Depot rather than receive a refund? It made no sense.

The cashier Reagan working the service desk was so beyond rude. Reagan then called a manager in tiles over at my insistence and he was very willing to do the refund on my card until Reagan put up such a big fuss with him saying it can’t be done that way and saying she didn’t have the code for single tiles only cases! I will never set foot in another Home Depot again. To treat a customer in that regard that has a slew of receipts with her for hundreds of dollars spent in that store, and over $4.50! It’s Lowe’s for me from now on.

May 16th, 2021 - I ordered a bathtub at Home Depot online. Was supposed to be delivered June 8th. Received notice it would be delivered June 4th. Waited all day. No delivery. Then supposed to be delivered June 8th. Again no delivery. Called the phone number for tracking with NSD many times. Long hold. They hang up saying will call back with first available person. No return calls. Called Home Depot’s 800 #. They will send an email and notice to NSD. I should hear back within a week. One lady said to cancel and reorder. Another told me NSD is having a hard time hiring enough people, be patient.

If I reorder I'll have an even longer wait. So I wait, no communication from either NSD or Home Depot. Called Home Depot again. Home Depot will assign researcher to look into my order. I should hear back between 24 to 72 hours. No call back within 72 hours. June 18th called Home Depot again. No one was assigned my order so no research happened. Transferred me to resolutions. Resolutions will give some credit back and they will call NSD so my delivery is prioritized. Received email about discount applying in a few days, but nothing about delivery date. It is now June 23rd. Called Home Depot to see if we could pick up tub from NSD warehouse.

NSD warehouse is a 2 hour one way trip for us. Was told bathtub is not there I need to cancel and reorder. Wanted confirmation from Home Depot that NSD confirmed that bathtub isn’t there because when I asked if Home Depot had received a response from NSD the answer was always no. How a company this big can hire a delivery co. they can’t communicate with is shady. I told Home Depot I will wait until they can get a hold of NSD. Call Center Lady said NSD isn’t answering. I ask what is the chance I will get order if I reorder it? Call center lady said almost no problems on 2nd order. My installer can only install in June. I’ve told them this with every call. Call Center person can’t get resolutions to respond. Call center person can’t get supervisor to respond.

I was put on hold by call person for ?? length of time. I hung up and called back about an hour later. After going through the prompt’s I was transferred straight to survey as though I had already spoken with call person. 2nd call I got call person on the line and they hung up on me as I was giving them my name. 3rd Call once again skipped call center and went to survey. I opened a credit card with Home Depot a couple of days ago. I gave the address that I am moving away from unfortunately, and I went to the store to change it to the new one in order to have the bill in the correct address. I used the HD CC to buy $ 300 worth of materials today. I have spent a lot of money at HD during all this month as I am renovating my new place.

They told me at the store that I had to call the number on the CC, and they would take care of it. So far so good. I call them and after speaking with a robot for 20 min, finally some lady which was not speaking from within the US, and which I can barely hear, came on the phone. After questioning me for 15 minutes, about my SSN, DOB, NAME, Card Number, Security Number on the back of the card, Old Address, New Address, I wanted to change to, Whether I had any other tel number on the account, email address, etc, finally I thought I made it, she said she would transfer the line to the Security Office (this is how she called it).

Another lady came on the phone with a worse call quality, started all over again with the above questions, and continued asking for the number on my CITI Credit Card, which she somehow knew I possessed. At this point, I stopped, and asked her why did she have to know my other CC number. The answer was “for security reasons”. I told her I do not feel comfortable, and maybe I am talking to scammers who want my Credit Card information. I told her I don’t want the HD CC anymore, and hung up. Then I went back to the store to apply a $ 25 discount coupon which I forgot to give to the cashier the first time. Cashier Erica at the Waterbury CT Home Depot at the Customer Service was extremely helpful, and respectful.

By the time she finished all the procedure for the 25 discount, she started to speak on the phone with someone, and asked for my ID. I gave it to her. She continues on the phone for like another 5 min. Then I ask her, "What is the problem?" She says, "Someone wants to speak to you." I grab the phone, and another dodgy guy with no communication skills whatsoever, cop wannabe started to question me like I was being interrogated. I told him, "What more do you want from me now?" I gave her the driver’s license, was saying that it was for my good. Immediately I felt like I was transferred to some third world paradise. I was like, "Why are you interrogating me, sir? I am **. Your employee has my ID right here, and can verify what I am saying. What are protecting me from, MYSELF?" His answer was no doubt to be expected given the low level all this story sank into.

He is like, "Sir did you receive a voicemail just now?" And I was like WHAT??? He is like, "Ok, you cannot use the card, sir. We are revoking your Credit Card." I then paid with my own CC. To finish the story: The Home Depot CC people are HORRIBLE. They are bit able to protect you from fraud because in my view they are too incompetent at best. While the store experience with HD is overall good (even though they are rude sometimes), the corporate office I dealt with today can get a 0 Stars, and can go to hell for all I care.

You always have to search the store and have them page someone over. Then they always have a hard time placing the order, unsure if this is due to lack of knowledge on using their computer or to hard to navigate and place a order. Both times the employee forgot to order items.

One time it was the baseboards, but did order the quarter round. The other time I can't remember what they forgot to order, but when the contractors came to install them they noticed it and had to call the store to let them know I needed them before they could do my floors. The contractors they have are expensive but poor quality. I have a L shaped living room dinning room all one surface but the contractor insisted that he had to place this raised up divider like piece in between instead of just running in all the same like I have seen in many homes. Where to begin - We asked for a quote from Home Depot as we needed to replace the carpet on 2 levels of our home. The first measurer who came out missed some things that I caught after they emailed a quote to me so they had to send another guy out to remeasure. When they sent me the second quote it had the wrong carpet on it so they had to re-do it again. I wish we would have walked away at that point but everyone makes mistakes so we let them continue. We were now more than 2 weeks into the process and finally had a valid quote that actually looked pretty attractive considering the "free" installation, "free" furniture moving, among other things stated in the agreement.

When we chose to accept the proposal we were contacting by Kimber who let us know they were 6 weeks out to install, not convenient but understandable. She was very pushy and informed us that she was only scheduling the installers for one day and that we should have all of the rooms completely cleared for them because they "really aren't furniture movers anyway". What? We are a hard working couple in our mid-fifties so our backs aren't what they used to be but we wanted to make sure everything was done since we had a houseful of relatives coming the following weekend so we moved every bit of furniture and everything from all of the rooms out onto our 2 decks. I even pulled up some of the carpet.

Seth, the installer was rude from the second I greeted him at the front door. He acted like he had a hot date at 3:00 or something and all he wanted to do was the bare minimum he had to and get out as fast as possible. He told me he wouldn't have time to do the stairs and they would have to schedule another day to do them. When I called Kimber she said the very soonest they could come back would be July 13th, exactly 4 weeks away! There was no compassion whatsoever and no apologies for the inconvenience. I said I can't wait that long and will have to hire someone else to do the stairs so I wanted a partial refund for the stairs and for us not getting the free furniture moving as stated in the agreement. She refused.

We were already 2 months into this thing and they wanted to now delay another month. Seth left the carpet and pad with me for the stairs and headed on his way. So to recap: 1) Multiple botched estimates and quotes. 2) They did not touch one piece of furniture or other of our possessions, 3) Did not do our steps even though it was in the bid and we moved all of the furniture for them so it could get done in one day. 4) Rude installer with absolutely no people skills. 5) Left a horrible mess. 6) Refused to refund any money even though they did not fill their end of the agreement. I must say Seth's assistant was fantastic, hard working, pleasant, and friendly. It's too bad he's working with a guy who couldn't care less about pleasing the customer or doing the right thing as agreed. Never again.

I bought a zero turn riding lawn mower on May 21, 2021. Home Depot supposedly has a white glove delivery service that sets up the mower and has a representative on site at delivery. It was supposed to be delivered within 7 to 10 business days. It is now 26 days later and I don't have the mower, I have not received a call to schedule the delivery or on site representative. This is a $4,000 Toro mower, not a $300 throw away. Would never recommend Home Depot home delivery service.

Home Depot has yet to reimburse a duplicate charge made to my credit card for a gift card reload, on 5/27/21 for the amount of 1,000 dollars. A few duplicate charges were taken care of, but this one remains on my credit card. I’ve been given the runaround by many on the phone, and I’m hoping an honest Home Depot employee will help handle this for me. A thousand dollars is a lot of money to just blow off, especially when I’ve spent considerable money ordering all new appliances, and completing a home remodel, exclusively using Home Depot.

I recently went into the local store to purchase 2 patio chairs to match the bistro set purchased previously. I recently moved to the area and have shopped there plenty times to set up our new home with carpets a woodshop and plenty of wood and others so I am familiar with the store but not as much with their ordering on-line. We could not find the items in the store even though it said 8 were available. We found a display item but wanted 2 new chairs. We went home and ordered them on-line. I recently retired from retail mgt. When an order came in to me I checked and if the item was 100% and I could fill the order I did. If not the next closest store took the order.

My wife stopped the women who drove up and took the display chair (no bags, tags, papers etc) while she tried to drop the chair and drive off. My wife asked about the order and the person said "this is all they had so I was asked to drop the one off." My wife stated we ordered two new chairs and we could have taken this chair yesterday if that's what we wanted. The woman said, "that's all we have." I called customer service to find out the situation when I got an e-mail that the order was cancelled and customer service said "that's all they had so that's what they did." I cannot believe that the company's policy is to provide that quality of service and back it with first rate customer service.

Tried to order 2 pallets of sod online. Was offered a promotion if applied for credit. Applied. Told that if in store go to cust. serv., if not call a number. Called number. On infinite hold. Called store cust serv. Got recording about employment application. Called store again. Asked for store manager. Cust serv person explained she doesn't deal with credit, despite online indication otherwise. Got manager. Have to be in store for them to deal with credit and then they only call the same number according to her. Asked for name and phone number of her regional or district manager. Have gotten this before from Lowe's years ago. She refused and said I had to call the national cust serv number which she didn't know and would only say 1-800-Home Depot.

Called number for cust care (uncare really). She would not give me the information I needed. She had to open a ticket, refused to put me through to a supervisor. Spoke over me with her talking points only and terminated the call. This is what corporate America has turned into. Unfortunately, Home Depot is leading the way. American complacency allows them to get away with this!
