I live in Richmond, VA and bought a generator just before the big snow/ice storm hit because I was afraid I would lose power. Thankfully, I did not, but when I went to return the generator, I found out that there's a 7 day return policy for them. Today is day 9 and the first day I could get out to do the return. I called the store and the corporate office and got the same story..."so sorry, I know there was an ice storm and you were unable to get out, but the terms are the terms." I get that there are terms, but there are also extenuating circumstances and I'm now out $900 that I can't afford.

I am writing regarding a recent delivery that did not go as instructed and has created a significant issue for me. My order was first canceled without explanation and then later marked as delayed. Wanting to prevent any problems, I contacted customer service multiple times and even visited the store in person to ensure the delivery driver would call ahead. My building requires front desk approval for large deliveries, and I was assured this would be noted. I was also told to closely track the order and be available at the delivery time, which I did.
Despite these steps, the item was delivered without any notification or phone call. Because the delivery instructions were not followed, I am now left with a very large and extremely heavy chandelier that I cannot reasonably transport on my own. This situation was caused by a breakdown in communication and delivery procedure, not by any action on my part. I am requesting assistance with a pickup return or another appropriate resolution, as this item cannot simply be carried back to the store.

Home Depot in Albuquerque, while reflective of all Home Depot, is substandard at best. The staff and employees are lazy, rude and unprofessional. This store meets employees park anywhere blocking actual parking spaces. Additionally, the store doesn't have the products I want. I typically have to order to have the product delivered. For that reason, I usually order from Amazon. If I'm ordering for delivery, I'm going to order from a company that focuses on online sales, customer satisfaction, and delivery. Home Depot sucks. At least it's better than Lowe's.

Home Depot delivered a defective refrigerator to my house today. They took the old refrigerator away. I was told I could return this one in 48 hours. When I open the refrigerator door it drops down onto the floor. The only way to close it is to reach inside the door lift up on the Shelf and then almost shut it and at the last minute quick pull your fingers out so you don't injure them and then slam the door shut. That is what I have to do every time I open and close the refrigerator. Instead of sending somebody out to repair the door they said they can only replace it and they make me wait 6 days for a replacement.
When I called to have them send somebody to return it so that I could buy a refrigerator from a different store who could have delivered one in two days they said they couldn't come for 4 days to pick this one up. They do this on purpose so that you're stuck. So I'm stuck for nearly a week with the door that falls to the floor every single time I open it and can only be shut very carefully so that I don't shut my fingers in it. The people at the store were perfectly nice. But they are not the people who help you with the problem. All you get is customer service so-called and they are horrible. They just read everything off of printed script. They don't have any customer concern. It's not their fault.
The fault lies with Home Depot as a company. They are not a company who cares about customer service at all. I would highly discourage anyone from ever buying a major appliance from them. If you want to go in and buy a few Nails that's probably safe. But I would never spend money on something that's going to be delivered to your house because once it's here they don't care how long it takes to resolve the problem. They will resolve the problem but not in a timely fashion. It has been a horrible experience trying to buy a refrigerator from them and I will never ever go near their store again. Please don't make the mistake I did.
It is worth it to pay a little more and buy your kitchen appliances from a local company that stands behind them and not from a great big National company Like Home Depot who does not care one bit about customers. They care about money and that's all. Don't make the mistake I did trying to save a few bucks it was not worth it! And actually I found some but another company that would have delivered the refrigerator for free at Home Depot charged me $39! Terrible terrible company! They have no heart. And as far as I'm concerned nothing that can called customer service. It's a shame because the people who working the store are quite nice but I will never ever go back there again. They are one cold-hearted company! From now on I stick with local businesses and not a national chain.

Last fall our 41-year-old Rheem water heater finally died. I ordered a replacement. It came and was installed. Only four months later it began leaking. My installers came out twice and worked on it but it still leaked. I dreaded calling Home Depot, expecting a long, hair-pulling process. Finally, I placed the call. She asked a few questions and quickly determined the issue was a factory defect. She said one of their contractors in my area would call within 1 business day. The installer called shortly after I hung up with customer support. He came an hour or so later, verified the conclusion, removed the tank and returned the same afternoon with a new tank, which he installed. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of hassle in getting the faulty water heater replaced under warranty. I had not sent in the original warranty paperwork and feared HD would use that as their out. She never even asked about it.

All previous payments had been well on-time or early. I went through with a person on the phone and paid it, she heard me say fifty bucks which is more than my payment. I talked through it as I was paying, then next day, the whole card was paid. That is not what I put in or discussed with her. Not sure what is going on with Home Depot/Citi, but they are seriously faulty.

Home Depot store number 2001 in Merrillville, Indiana. I was having a door shipped to Home Depot on a warranty claim. They knew the size of the door and I wanted to see how much I could get the door delivered for and installed, they told me after disconnected five times in a row trying to get through to someone in storm doors installation or warranties being transferred around and cut off. I asked to talk to the store manager and I did. They told me they'd have to come out to give me a quote on the door size, which they already knew the door size since it was being ordered through them, and also charge me $79.99 if I wanted it delivered besides whatever cost they were to charge for installation.
How do they want to give you a quote on a door that they know the size of you're buying from them, for one, and being hung up on disconnected five times in a row is totally uncalled for. I find this store to be totally inadequate in the management of departments and workers very sad for this disabled veterans stuck at home with no transportation and depending on stores and people to get the job done properly and carry good products.

Bought a dishwasher in November for a Christmas gift. Dishwasher arrived just before Christmas. Paid for install, but they did not install it. They did not have the appropriate parts kit available on the truck (install parts kit was paid for at time of purchase). Dishwasher didn't function and needed returned. Replacement Dishwasher was delivered in mid January.
Replacement Dishwasher was not installed -- Installers did NOT have the appropriate parts kit available on the truck. The previous H.D. installers should have made sure parts were available. They did NOT. Installation of replacement dishwasher was completed several days later with the parts that should have been available on the 1st trip. Pathetic, incompetent, lousy customer service.

I have always liked Home Depot, but will no longer be going there. I was hoping to buy carpet there. One employee said they did free install so I picked out carpet but was informed by Kim I had to pay for install so I went to Lowe's. So Home Depot calls me back saying they have a sale and now instead of paying the 5300 it would only be 3850.
So I went back there and when the employee showed me the color it looked more black and I wanted gray. I don't even remember looking at the color they showed me, so I asked to look at other carpet at the same price, which she showed me and I picked one out..gray. So Kim called and the price went up 1000 more than the price on the email. I said, "How can that be, you said it was same price but then she said it must be 3.89." At which point I left... for good. I am supposed that Home Depot plays bait and switch. Highly disappointed in this company. I already talked with 2 friends who will no longer be going there either. Too bad. Thirty minutes later HD sent email cancelling the order, said it wasn't in stock at that store. They just didn't want to deliver it 50 miles for free. Said refund processed automatically and would take 3 to 5 days. No refund after 10 days so called 800 number and spoke to someone in India. She said I had to go to the store 50 miles away to get the refund and there was nothing she could do.
Called the store and a manager said I had to come to the store for the refund. He couldn't explain why I had to go to the store for a refund of an online purchase. I asked if I would be compensated for my time and gas for a 100 mile round trip and he said no. I hung up on him and went online to dispute the charge with the credit card. The manager called and left a voicemail saying he was able to process the refund after all and I would get it within ten days. Very annoying.

In November, the door from the kitchen to my basement completely died. The house is over 100 years old and nothing is level so I decided to have a new door professionally installed. Home Depot said that they could do it and they had me use their millwork apron people. The person on the phone never once said that I could go to my local store and do the exact same thing. Multiple times I said that I found it very difficult to do it over the phone and I would feel better talking to someone in person. Miguel on the phone told me that that was the way it was done. I was told my door would have to be special ordered after it was measured. I paid for everything in advance. Then I found out that the order had been written up incorrectly. I was somehow to blame for all of this according to Home Depot. The door was on one order and the installation was a second order so the two parties involved were not communicating with one another.
This necessitated many phone calls and much miscommunication. The door finally arrived and it was damaged. Now a new door had to be ordered. When I had no update I contacted the Door manufacturer. They haven’t even started production yet. Then of course it will have to be picked up and installed. I will be two months without a working door. The broken one leans against the door jam, and then either falls into the kitchen onto one of us or falls down the basement stairs. I would not recommend the apron millwork people or Home Depot to anyone. I did escalate through Home Depot, but they really haven’t been able to do anything. It’s just a long drawn out mess.

I gave my Daughter a Home Depot Gift Card for some home improvement projects at her new home. When she tried to use the gift card, the PIN was missing after she scratched off the covering. She was told "if you don't have the original receipt there is nothing we can do". So she called me and I texted her a copy of the receipt. They then told her to call the customer service number, and get the PIN. She called customer service, and was told that they could only give the PIN to an associate. When she tried to had the phone to the associate, they told her "don't push that phone at me". After several minutes of abuse, my daughter left.
I called and spoke to the manger on duty Amy, who wouldn't give me her last name. Amy stated that they called and had the right person on the phone when my daughter left. I called customer service and was told the following.
1. No Receipt is required to help with a lost PIN.2. The PIN can only be given to an associate.
3. With a lost PIN the total balance of the gift card must be used.
Why did the first associate tell my daughter to call? Why did the first associate tell my daughter they can't help with out a receipt? Why did the Employee's at store #419 need to be abusive? The answer is simple.. Home Depot was already paid when I bought the gift card, and if they are rude to people using gift cards they don't have to supply any goods or services for that money.

Date of Experience: December 2, 2025 Order/Case Reference: Executive Escalations Case #**. I am sharing this review to warn future customers about a catastrophic failure in The Home Depot's delivery and customer service system.
On December 2, 2025, the delivery carrier, DELIVERY HUB, recklessly and illegally dropped off my products in a FIRE LANE ZONE. This is a gross violation of safety regulations and company policy, directly exposing the high-value shipment to immediate risk of damage and theft.
Failure to Mitigate LossI immediately contacted Home Depot Customer Service to report the illegal drop-off location and the risk it posed, specifically asking them to mitigate the loss. My request for urgent, corrective action was ignored. This failure to act on my warning resulted in the subsequent theft of the entire product shipment from the unsafe location.
Failure of Executive EscalationsThe case was escalated to the highest level (Executive Escalations Case #**, handled by Andrea **). Despite the clear evidence of carrier negligence, a major safety violation (Fire Lane), and the complete loss of product, this executive-level team has failed to provide an acceptable or equitable resolution.
The Home Depot is fully responsible for the actions of its contracted delivery partners, and the refusal of their Executive Escalations team to rectify this situation is unacceptable. Be advised that due to this shocking service failure and the refusal to resolve a loss caused by carrier negligence, I have filed formal complaints with several external agencies, including the Office of the Attorney General. Home Depot needs to take immediate accountability for the reckless conduct of its carriers and the failure of its internal teams to protect customer property.

Beware: Home Depot sends all “Need help fast?” emergencies to a 2.0-rated installer with several hundred bad reviews and BBB complaints, and instead of standing up for the customer they make an insulting offer and ask you to sign a gag order so you don’t write bad reviews when the job is done poorly I called Home Depot’s “Need help fast?” number because I had water under my heater, assumed that meant I needed a new water heater, and needed urgent help. That number goes straight to Delta Mechanical, shown as their installer and “100% backed.”
Delta’s own paperwork says they will inspect the area, install the equipment, and test the unit before leaving. They did none of that. The wall behind the heater was soaked, they mounted an expansion tank into that wet wall, which fell out the next day, never came inside to run water or clear the lines, didn’t actually test anything, and left. Soon after, there was water under the new heater again.
I was at home with a leaking water heater, repeatedly calling and texting Delta asking what to do. They ignored me, and the visit they finally scheduled was a no-show, so I had to hire another licensed plumber to protect my home. They even brought another water heater with them in case the new one had failed, but after inspecting everything they found and repaired a leak in the wall and told me the water heater itself didn’t need to be replaced, exactly what any reputable vendor would do. In total, I paid about $1,100 for the original installation with Delta/Home Depot and another $788 to the second plumber just to end up with one proper installation. Home Depot told me my labor warranty was void because I had called someone else.
Now Delta and Home Depot are trying to spin this as “just a wall leak” instead of admitting the installer never did the required inspection or testing. Home Depot’s response was an insulting offer of $500 tied to a gag order telling me not to talk about this or leave bad reviews, an offer I refused so I could speak up for other customers. On top of that, Home Depot’s own site only allows “product” reviews, not true customer service reviews, and they review what you write before deciding whether to post it, which makes it even harder for customers to warn others. With several hundred bad reviews (263 on Yelp alone) and BBB complaints about Delta, it is a reckless, irresponsible business practice for Home Depot to keep sending customers to this repeat offender. Homeowners should know this before trusting that “Need help fast?” phone number and “100% backed” promise.

Then they charge you if I am not mistaken like almost $1000 to your credit card. You get most of it back so long as you bring the truck back. I don’t as a-little upset about the phone and deposit policy but I was in a hurry so I went along with it.
When I turned the truck back in after 4 hrs the price ended up being $21 more than what was quoted…. This was just icing on the cake from what turned out to be a very disappointing transaction with home depot. The sad part is they could have had a win by just doing the right thing. 1st Home Depot equipment for the security clearance! Then highlight and point out the cost on paper. Return, second damaged product again to Home Depot, and they would not provide a refund do to 1 month time. I think a contractor installing and uninstalling the second disposal and scheduling conflicts,,, one month is insufficient time for a second garbage disposal that needs to be returned, and does not work. Assured they used a different delivery group than Lowe’s. Was given a number to call if any problems at all and they would take care of it. Well that was a bunch of BS. This is the 3rd time I have unloaded my refrigerator that is not cooling right and I am sure this is not helping to unplug and plug back in, and I STILL HAVE NO REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER!!!! It is ours and we paid for it. The truck comes and starts to back up and nudges some gravel and stops. They then say they can’t make it up. Will not even try to come up forward.
My son lives next door so my husband said take it there and we will take care of it. They couldn’t do that. My husband said we will put it on my trailer and take it up to house, but they couldn’t do that either. My son had something delivered last week to his house and they put it on my husband’s trailer and took it up and it worked out fine. Guess Home Depot needs a better delivery company! Home Depot damaged my driveway during a routine delivery, and instead of owning the mistake, they pushed everything to Sedgwick, their claims company. That’s when the real problems started. Sedgwick has dragged this process out with delays, poor communication, and excuses that don’t align with New Jersey liability standards. They’ve repeatedly acted in bad faith, tried to undercut the actual repair cost, and made it clear they’re more interested in protecting Home Depot than resolving legitimate damage. After months of going back and forth, they’re still refusing to pay what’s required to fix the driveway they damaged — leaving me, the customer, stuck covering the cost for something I didn’t cause. Consumers should be extremely careful when scheduling deliveries from Home Depot. If something goes wrong, you’ll be left fighting their claims company on your own.

Had I known this at the time of delivery, I could have kept the food in an alternate location. Reached out to Home Depot customer service and they were vague and noncommittal with regard to following up with delivery drivers to ensure this information was shared early going forward. I purchased a banquette from Home Depot (Order **) and had it professionally assembled for $150. Once assembled it was clear the product was defective because the pieces did not align and the unit could not be used as intended. I contacted Home Depot customer service, provided photos, and requested a refund. They offered three options: return the item for a refund, contact the manufacturer for replacement parts, or keep it with a small discount. Since the product was unusable I chose a refund.
Home Depot then informed me that I would need to pay another $150 to disassemble the item before they would pick it up. That means I would spend $300 on assembly and disassembly, on top of a $500 defective item. In other words, I would be losing more than half the value of my purchase just to get my money back. I explained repeatedly that I should not be financially penalized for receiving a defective product. I asked them to either cover disassembly and pickup or allow me to discard the defective item locally and still receive a refund. They refused both, only offering me a $100 discount if I kept the broken product.
This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Customers should not bear additional costs for returning defective merchandise. Home Depot’s refusal to take responsibility has forced me to escalate this issue to my credit card company for dispute resolution. I am filing this complaint with the BBB so that others are aware of these unfair practices. I hope Home Depot changes their policies so customers are not left paying hundreds of dollars in extra costs for items that arrive defective.

Original delivery date was August 12-14. On July 30th we received an email from Backyard Products that since we had not sent them the building permit, the building would be delayed until September 24, 2025. We had read all of the site preparations, including the notice to check with local government on the need for a building permit (which we procured from the county August 14, 2025). Then we received an email from Home Depot on August 11th stating our building had shipped and would be delivered August 26th. We prepped the site including $1000 in roadbase, cut trees, and removed a fence that kept our animals in the yard.
Long story shorter, after three phone calls with Customer Service we were told the building would be delivered in September. We were given three assurances that we would receive compensation for the costs and inconvenience. 72 hours after the 3rd call we received an email from Home Depot requesting a response to our cancellation of our order! With great alarm, we placed another call to Customer Service which was extremely disappointing. During that conversation we were given a delivery date of November 3rd. Home Depot has given false information, lied to us, become indignant, and done absolutely nothing to either resolve or take responsibility for this situation. I contacted their customer service (obviously located in another country and reading from scripts) and asked to change the error of address. I was told the address couldn’t be changed and my only option was cancellation. Strange, but okay, cancel the order so I can reorder to correct address. After 2 follow up calls before the order was shipped 11 hours later, there was no cancellation and I was charged and given notification merchandise I paid for was being delivered 2 states away.
My 3rd phone call to customer service I was told to commit fraud with my bank and say I didn’t authorize the purchase or receive the merchandise. I asked to speak to a supervisor repeatedly and was denied. The “customer service” employee then sat the phone down for the next 15 minutes as I listened to them talk about me in Spanish. After extensive Google investigation I finally found a email address (not easy to find) “hdcares@homedepot.com” to email, not call, someone in the US. THAT was over 12 hours ago with no response. Do yourself a favor, shop at Lowe’s.

Purchased over $850 at Home Depot Coconut Creek. Dave Manager very helpful. 7/21 today, delivery abruptly cx’d via email - no reason or details given. Called store- spoke to Manager EJA - unhelpful - kept repeating call 1800 Home Depot to make a complaint. After going thru many prompts and pressing buttons finally spoke to a Ivan. Told me delivery company home depot uses “Dash”, cancels all the time. Asked to speak to a supervisor- he hung up the phone after he told me to call the Coconut Creek Home Depot. Spoke to EJA again and even ruder and louder this time “repeated over and over in a loud voice“. Call Customer care 1800 Home depot”. They do not need to pay a manager like her who takes no ownership to resolve or look into what happened. Home Depot can save tons of money and use a robot with a recorded message.

I paid $120 for a scheduled delivery from Home Depot, plus a $30 "express" fee to ensure it would arrive this morning between 10AM and noon. At 9:15AM — before the delivery window even began — I received a message saying the delivery had “failed” and needed to be rescheduled. I’ve now spent over 45 minutes on hold with customer service, after several failed attempts to speak to someone. No one can tell me what happened, and no one seems able to help.
To make things even worse, when I tried to cancel the order, I was told that I have to go in person to the store — which is 45 minutes from my home. Seriously? In 2025? This has been an absolute nightmare. I planned my whole day around this delivery, and now I’ve lost time, money, and patience. I’ll be shopping at Lowe’s from now on — at least they treat customers with basic respect and don’t leave them stranded with zero accountability. Do better, Home Depot. Much better.

Received multiple emails from home depot stating my order was going to be delivered today. The delivery time kept getting pushed back going from 3pm all the way to past 9pm. At 830pm the delivery tracker showed delivered even though it was not. The proof of delivery photo was taken through the windshield as the truck was on the highway.
The customer signature was forged. I was home the whole time and my security cameras did not show a truck even drive by my house. I called customer service and the person I spoke with laughed multiple times at the situation and said this wasn't the first time this had happened. He was no help and told me to call back in the morning. I changed my plans to be home for ultimately nothing. I have no idea if or when I will receive my order or a refund. This is not what I would expect from a company like home depot. I checked out of curiosity and forging someone's signature is a felony here in Florida. I'm guessing Home Depot doesn't care though.

Now I know why all my friends shop at Lowe's instead of Home Depot. I was there today and had a very bad experience. Couldn't find what I needed so I tried to find the product location through their app. No matter how many times I entered my store location it kept giving me information on a store in a different state. Then I called the customer support number and got the royal run-around from a recorded message and never go to a human being. Finally I tracked down a store employee (I never saw one in all the time I was looking) and then finally found my product. I will NOT ever return to Home Depot.

The next Delivery team of Erick & Daniel were fantastic. The guys took extra time to make the new appliance setup and understanding a breeze. They were also great professionals that listened to the first experience and made 100% certain that this time it would be performed on target. These guys were awesome and thanks to GE and Home Depot for stepping up and making a difficult situation much better.

Very disappointed with lack of compassion. Was shopping with my special needs daughter today (now 33), she really relates at more of an 8year old and not even 5 foot tall and she saw kids making things in workshop. So I figured with her obvious disability it would not be hard to get her one. In a somewhat snobby way the Home Depot representative looked at her knowing she was disabled and said "Do you have a child with you". She later gave me the kit and said "we have to ask" Really? If there was a price on it I would have bought it, very disappointed. It is a shame I have to feel like I am stealing something, after all I have bought here. I wish there was a zero stars option. I ordered 1,500 dollars worth of power tools online and after waiting 2 weeks I cancelled the order, but since it had allegedly shipped, I couldn't cancel it, it had to be processed as a return. This is a long story but to summarize: After more than thirty days of multiple phone calls totaling close to three hours of phone time, and speaking with very apathetic and rude customer service agents, I finally informed them that I would be going through my CC and BBB to get the refund I had waited more than 3 weeks for since cancelling the order. This is absolutely inexcusable on the part of Home Depot and I will never shop there again.
After informing them that I was going through my CC and BBB to resolve the issue, the customer service agent basically refused further help, and essentially hung up on me. Thirty minutes later I received an email saying my refund has been processed and I just have to wait on my CC to reflect the refund. It could be coincidence, but if it took that much of an ordeal to get my money back, I am appalled. The fact that the customer service agents didn't even try to help and that the escalation team took 3 weeks to resolve this is not acceptable.

It takes a lot for me to shame a business publicly, but I want to warn all of you as to the deceptive business practices that The Home Depot and AJ Perri are engaging in. I called both entities multiple times and sent emails and both have refused to return the calls. My AC was running hot a few weeks ago. It was during the first heat spell, and I needed a quick recharge (or so I thought) of the coolant for the Central Air. What I didn't know at that point was that my 20-year-old unit uses R22, which is a coolant that is not produced any longer. It was actually replaced by another coolant which has also been banned. The age and make of the unit alone would identify for the technician that it's an R22 cooled unit or that it was run by the replacement coolant which is also banned.
Well, Home Depot promised to have someone there the next day. AJ Perri took info on the phone and asked the make and age of the unit. I asked specifically if they could recharge it and was promised that they could. The technician showed up on time and looked at the unit and said: "We cannot recharge R22 units. Sorry. Your only option is to replace. Let me get the Home Depot AC Sales team on the phone." This was simply being used as a lead to take advantage of a desperate consumer.
Despite all of the above, they charged me $138 for the "Repair Service Visit" AJ Perri KNEW was pointless. It's not a lot of money, but it's reprehensible. AJ ** knew on the phone that it could not repair this. Home Depot directs AJ Perri to go anyway and sell a new unit. To charge for the "Service call" is tantamount to unconscionable business practices and I encourage all of you to share this. I wish I had the resources to start a class action. Had AJ Perri told me that on the phone and offered to send a salesperson instead, I would have taken the meeting.
Oh, by the way, the tech was wrong and it's not illegal to use R22 if you can find it, which I did...so it's fixed. I imagine that this business model extends to all of Home Depot's "repair" services and fear that many have been and will be taken advantage of by this deception. Not only didn't you get my business for the new AC unit, The Home Depot, you lost all of the business I gave you for everything else. Wrong guy to ignore. Here endeth the lesson...

The delivery guy did not want to pull the protective plastic off; we had to beg him to do this even though we paid for fully set up and running service. We noticed it was rolling when the door was opening and he said it would stop when food was in there. It did not stop rolling that night and the door will not shut on its own. The side has a dent which the delivery man showed and he promised to have 10% taken off when he got back to the store.
I called several times Home Depot. They see the damaged pics the delivery man took but they will not give me the discount because the price dropped $100.00 and they refunded that. Finally, today I called once more and they will be sending someone out in 5 days the soonest to level the refrigerator but the lady said they can only give one discount and I already got that with the price decrease. I will not be using Home Depot anymore. Back to Lowe's I go and I advise you do the same.

When I called, I was advised that James Allen was the installation supervisor and that Cheryl Karaian was the installation coordinator. This was communicated on Tuesday, 6/3/25. I called Wednesday and spoke with Lisa because I did not receive a response from anyone, and was advised that an email would be sent to all individuals related to the project.
When I did not receive a response, I called again on Thursday, June 5, and spoke with Lisa again. FedEx do not carry things into a home. At the time of ordering this was not mentioned. Nor was the fact that the sectional sofa was coming from 3 different places and would have 3 different delivery days so my daughter would have to take 3 days off work. I phoned Home Depot and was told tough. We can deliver it how we like. Then they blamed the vendor that they got it from and I could try contacting them to get one delivery. Every time I have tried to get deliveries from Home Depot it has been a problem. They have the worst delivery system and the worst online customer service. There is absolutely no way will I ever buy a product for delivery from them again. I have bought sofas and other furniture over the years many times and everyone has always delivered them in one delivery. Plus all furniture has been carried into the home. They cut my limit by 37%. Their reasoning was "increased usage" and my credit score has declined. I called and questioned how often they review credit scores. They stated "every month". If that was true, they would have lowered my limit months ago. I stand firm that they only checked my credit score due to increased usage of my account. Their reason of declining credit score will now be more valid, since lowering my limit will lower my score.
Next month when my score drops due to their lowering my limit, will they use that again as an excuse to lower my limit? I called to discuss this, was transferred to the department that handles this, only to be told "that's our policy". Why bother having a representative in this department? Just have a message stating "we don't want you to use your card up to 50%, that's our policy". I'm refusing my remaining deliveries and will now do business with Lowe's. To preface this story I will say Home Depot has lost a very loyal customer...FOREVER!!! It started last month...I ordered a 46" Cub Cadet mower to be delivered to my local store, $200 discount (on sale) and a promotion of 18 months interest free financing. This is the Waynesboro, VA store, BTW. I tracked it leaving Jackson, TN to Memphis, to Winchester, VA...back to Memphis...back to Winchester, then the last line item shown was "Out for delivery" somewhere in Burlington, KY. But I was told that was inaccurate, the mower was actually on a truck somewhere in Ohio and the trucking company (Estes) refused to transfer it to their hauler because it was "packaged unsafely". So as far as I know, that one is still in Ohio.
I informed them I no longer wanted that particular mower after all it's potentially been through. Who knows how many times it was loaded and unloaded? As fate would have it, as of that day, HD no longer has any 46" Cub Cadets in stock and they have been discontinued by HD forever. Okay, what do we do now? How about we sell you the 50" for the same price as the 46" and deliver it for free. Okay, I'm not thrilled about this, but I accept. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday...Nope, now it's delayed until Friday.
The kicker on this...early this morning I looked at the status of the delivery. It showed we missed an attempted delivery after 11 PM last night. Pretty sure my two Labs would've let us know if someone was outside our home with a delivery truck around midnight. Anyway, that info has since disappeared from their site. I have doubts that I'll ever actually get a mower from them but if I do it will be the last thing I get from HD. Oh, the 18 month interest free deal I mentioned earlier...I'm still trying to work that out. Because they had to cancel my original order, yeah the one in Ohio...that one had the 18 month deal applied to it. The 50" I'm supposed to be getting shows I only got 6 month interest free. They assure me it's going to be corrected, but so far, not.

This was my first time buying appliances through Home Depot. What. A. Nightmare. Since I have been dealing with non stop complications recently when buying anything online, I went into Home Depot in Roseville Michigan and had a wonderful experience with Nani, the sales rep. She put together a wonderful package and told me she would attach it to my online Pro account and I could pay for it up front or online. I paid online and was informed a few days later via Email and text that my delivery was set up between 3-7 PM.
Normally I buy from ABC warehouse and am always given a name and phone number as a contact for the delivery. Home Depot I got nothing but a automated text from their system giving me the time frame. I waited from 3-7pm with no one showing up. At 7PM I receive a text that says "Were Two Stops Away". That's it. No idea how long they still have to arrive. At 7:34PM I receive notice that they "Missed Delivery" and would reschedule. I left and went to Home Depot the next day.
Nani called customer service who contacted the third party who said they can deliver Saturday and that their vehicle broke down the evening before. WHY people stopped learning to be HUMAN and pick up the phone and CALL ME is beyond me but when I heard they broke down shortly after getting a notice that I was 2 stops away, I'm pretty sure I immediately knew where the failure point had occurred. (As a side note I find it interesting that a missed 7pm delivery doesn't align you for first thing delivery the very next day but for whatever reason, after wasting nearly 5 hours of my time, us loyal customers get pushed to whatever next available time slot allowed.)
I told them saturday doesn't work as I'm not spending my day waiting for no one to show up again and without a phone call before delivery, I'd prefer to just cancel the order and go to ABC warehouse where they have the system down for delivery. So Saturday comes and I get a call from Nani at 943am telling me I'm scheduled for Tuesday between 11-3. I request a phone call one hour before as I already know the delivery people don't respect my time so Ill be the one to respect myself and not let people abuse my time. Saturday at 1221pm I get a call from a heavily accented ** man telling me he's 30 minutes away. I tell him I'm not there and am scheduled for Tuesday. He tells me if I don't show up for my delivery they can't guarantee it.
At the time of this posting, it's still Saturday so I can't speak as to what will happen to my delivery however as I suspected HOME DEPOT IS OUTSOURCING TO THE ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST DELIVERY PEOPLE THEY CAN. Now I'm highly concerned because these appliances aren't cheap and going into a completely remodeled home. Do you think these delivery people care about my appliances? Or floors? Or any part of my order? It's apparent that home depot puts profit before people and customers so if you chose to do business with them, be prepared to fight for your own dollar, time and product. 'Cause Home Depot does not care about their customers. If they did, they would have the same caring employees deliver their products, not outsource them to third parties with vehicles that break down and to people who can't communicate with customers.
Needless to say, I'll be using every other supply store I can (and I'm a contractor and property investor) instead of Depot and will never order appliances again. By the way, this is from the Home Depot website: Net earnings for fiscal 2024 were $14.8 billion, or $14.91 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $15.1 billion, or $15.11 per diluted share in fiscal 2023. I also attached a screenshot of Home Depots top executive pay for 2023. I'll be doing my part to go where my business is appreciated. So long Depot. Do better.

I asked the cashier if they could take it down so I could pick it up after work, and she said yes, calling Chuck from the garden department to make him aware. I left my name and number and went on my way.
When I returned later that evening, the tree was still standing in the garden area, and nobody had taken it down. I went to customer service to let them know I was there to pick up my tree, but needed assistance getting it down and into my car. The cashier was hesitant but eventually agreed to help. I then asked if they had a box for the tree. He said no. I asked if they had large bags to protect my car’s interior. He said no, but suggested I buy a $50 storage container instead. I declined and asked if they could just take the tree down and put it in "will call" so I could come back in the morning with a truck. He said he would do that.
The next day, I returned only to find that MY tree had been SOLD to someone else. There was no apology, no offer to find me another tree, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience and time wasted. Steven, the supervisor/employee who I had spoken to, was completely indifferent and showed no remorse for my three trips to the store and losing the tree I had already paid for. Because Home Depot inappropriately loaded it. That is only a piece of the whole thing (like the new shipper has the address to deliver in Texas rather than Tennessee, etc). I went to Home Depot in Biloxi Mississippi, to look for a contractor to build and install a new window in my house's brick wall and to also remodel our laundry room. After providing me with a list of contractors, one of the staff members strongly suggested Elisha Kelly to complete the work. He was the best among the others listed, she said. Needless to say, Elisha ended up being the worst contractor I've ever dealt with. I will now list what happen:
1. Elisha locked up out of our home on purpose: We gave Elisha a key to the front door when he first started working for us. However, one night, Elisah deliberately locked us out of our house by exiting through the gauge door rather than the one he had the key to. Therefore, in order to regain access to our house, we had to call a locksmith. Again, making us spend more unnecessary money. The reason why I knew Elisha meant to lock us out was because earlier that day Elisha got upset with me because I had to talk to him about being disrespectful.
2. Elisha did not install our window correctly: When I first talked to Elisha, he told me he knew how to build a brand-new window, but he did not. He did such a bad job that my neighbor had to finish the installation (who is a brick mason). I also took pictures of how Elisha installed my window for evidence of his horrible work. If anyone would like to see them, please contact me.
5. Elisha attempted to steal my brick following the window demolition: We fired Elisha and enlisted my neighbor to finish the installation. When the contractor inquired about the brick's whereabouts, Elisha falsely claimed the waste collectors from my neighborhood had taken it. However, once Elisha learned that others and I had witnessed him loading the brick into his truck and driving away, he admitted that the brick was at his house and subsequently returned the bricks. So, now my neighbor was able to properly install my brick window.
3. Elisha blocked access to the existing dry vent and outlet after he put back up the drywall: he totally covered it up. So, the outlet needed to be reinstalled by someone else, and my husband had to find the dryer hole in the wall cutting through the wall to gain access to it. It wasn't until we let him go that we realized he had this.
It's unbelievable that Home Depot suggested Elisha to me. They must not have thoroughly vetted him. So, ultimately, I blame Home Depot for recommending Elisha Kelly from “Kelly Solution Construction LLC to me. Elisha Kelly is by far the worst contractor I have ever met, and I would not recommend him to anyone. Elish not only extended the time of our project, but he was on occasion disrespectful, deviant and malice.
Shame on you Home Depot for having Elisha on your list of contractors to help your customers. The pictures you see below will show you two types of trim Elisha install around my window, bad installed crown molding, bad installation of trim in corner of wall (had to be reinstalled by someone else, and a picture of how Elisha put Wood up against the window and did not use my own bricks to outline the window). My window had now been installed correctly by my neighbor who took down the wood around the window and use my brick that Elisha took to his house and was made to return. I did not include the after picture.

On 11/1/24 I wrote a sincere letter of complaint to Ted Decker, CEO of Home Depot, against one of their ProReferral contractors. Never even received an acknowledgement. Their contractor damaged my toilet when they performed unauthorized work, which ended up costing me $100 to repair. Home Depot stands behind their contractor. I have been a Home Depot customer for dozens of years and have made purchases of over $30,000, including a $12,000 new roof, $1,000 fridge, and a $900 washer, plus all of my other hardware needs.
Customer service starts at the top. Home Depot does not value customer loyalty. Not only will I no longer shop at Home Depot, but I have no faith in any warranty they provide. Decker’s behavior is shameful and unconscionable. Apparently, ProReferral does not even vet their contractors since they obviously favor the riff raff that they referred to me, even though he has numerous negative reviews all over the internet, including walking off a job in anger. Going forward, I will now be shopping exclusively at LOWE’S.

I was told that they don't have anything to do with the warranty because I didn't buy their warranty which wasn't offered at the time of the sale. Took my mower to a certified dealer for repair and now over 4 months later my mower is still in pieces on their floor because Cub Cadet will not warranty the engine. Cub Cadet said that they do not make the engine, and it is not their problem. Go back to Briggs & Stratton. So here I am with a $2000 plus mower that I used for 10 hours, and nobody will stand up and be responsible for the mower. I doubt that I will ever get my mower back in running condition and most likely have to pay the Certified Service Dealer for the time they have into it. There was a time when Home Depot would stand behind the products they sell or would help take care of your problem, but not in this case. Which resulted in me having to repurchase the correct item while I wait on them to pick up this wrong item and process a refund.
Then I get an early time delivery/pickup time of 8am-12 noon which is perfect because I have things to do on the delivery date. Also they always give a four hour window. Then the time changed to 10:30a-2:30p which completely inconvenience my schedule. When I called back in they just keep saying they have to give a 4hr window but can't guarantee any particular time. The customer service lady had an attitude from the moment that she answered the phone. I would highly recommend people just keep it simple and go to Lowes for appliances because most time they do have product on hand which will be less of a hassle.

I'm doing a project here at the house and little by little I'm buying some pavers 1 day at a time because they are too heavy for me to carry since I'm doing it by myself. This time I put 20 pavers from the garden center on a cart along with other items. I pushed the cart toward the checkout but left the cart to get other items in the main store since it's too heavy to push around. I was looking for something else and maybe gone less than 10 minutes but when I went back my cart was gone. I asked the cashier and she didn't know, another girl said someone might've thought they were returns. 20 pavers??
When I got another cart to start all over again this man overheard me and said he took the cart that had the pavers on them and just witnessed a girl putting them back. So here I go again starting all over again!! I should've just left the store cause I was so tired from stacking the pavers the first time. I'm 69 years old and too old to be going through this. I think you should have some kind of tags to leave on the carts when you leave them near the checkout areas. I love shopping at Home Depot so I hope this doesn't happen again cause I'm going back to get some more pavers. For the inconvenience I should've just paid half price!!

Home Depot has failed me for the last time. I was told the product I ordered would arrive on a certain date, I was told it had shipped, given a tracking number, and the shipment was lost. I was told my only option was to cancel the order, re-order, and wait another month for the order, despite the fact that their website says there were 976 units available of the product. So, their incompetence, lack of communication, and poor customer service made the issue mine to handle. HD made no effort to fix the problem on a very simple order. I've been an HD customer for decades, with various instances of frustration, but this is the last straw. All done with Home Depot.

Even after expressing my frustration with the bad reception coming from his end he just continued on like I never even mentioned it. Honestly don’t really know if my issue was taken care of. This review is about Home Depot and their shipping company Estes in NJ- I ordered cabinets from the home decorators collection over 3 months ago. Cabinets came and one cabinet was smashed - unusable. I was forced to take it or return the entire order. Needed to start my kitchen and pantry. If I only knew then what I know now. 3 months later still no replacement on the damaged cabinet (can't install the other cabinets and countertop until this cabinet is in place). Estes has damaged 2 more cabinets and most likely a 3rd - packaging of the cabinets is suspect, but freight carrier is destroying the cabinets.
Broken frames - smashed pieces -major dents and scratches. Home decorators has been working to replace, and has been very pleasant always offering to replace the item, but I am still losing multiple days of work and money. HOME DEPOT COULD CARE LESS - took my money, no discount, no credit - 4 days off from work - 3 months no cabinets - paid contractor multiple times to be here for install only to have cabinet arrive damaged - it weighs almost 200lbs, I need help in moving it and now have hundreds pounds of garbage to move again.
Spent 2 hours just today not counting other times when the delivery company failed to show up - after another day off of work, for the home depot rep to go - oops - best we can do is they can come tomorrow - item requires signature and inspection, guess I should just take another day off, it's OK, it's not like the economy sucks and I may need money to buy food for my family, doesn't matter, I don't have no cabinets to put the food in anyways. I know this is the ramblings of a madman, but you can not understand the level of frustration. Do yourself a favor - save your hard earned money and buy cabinets from a company that cares - home depot doesn't care and will take your money and tell you to go pound salt.

I paid extra for a 10 to 2 delivery and the next morning got a call at 7 and was told the delivery was for 6 to 8. A time no one was there to receive it. Overall a terrible experience - a very professionally operated company. They need many more folks, better systems and IT and better customer service training. I purchased the Aleko 8-person sauna cabin through Home Depot, and while the sauna itself seems solid overall, there were several issues that affected my experience. The sauna arrived with visible exterior damage due to poor packaging, which was disappointing. The shipping crates were in bad shape upon delivery, and the sauna had scrapes and dents on several panels. The heater also did not function properly out of the box, as it only got slightly warm but failed to heat up after 15 minutes of use.
On a positive note, Aleko’s customer support has been responsive so far, and I’m optimistic that they will replace the faulty heater and compensate me for the damages. However, dealing with these issues has been time-consuming and inconvenient. Overall, the sauna has potential, but quality control during shipping and better packaging are areas that need improvement. If you’re willing to deal with potential delays in resolving issues, it could still be a good option.

I bought a Ryobi electric riding lawnmower from Home Depot and also the extended warranty plan they offered. While the mower was under warranty I needed a drive motor controller replaced. A simple plug and play part. A two-hour job tops. I would have and should have replaced the part myself but it was under warranty and the part cost $377 so why not use the warranty. Home Depot warranty department would not send me the part directly but set me up with a company to pick up my mower and replace the part. Home Depot warranty department scheduled the company to pick up my mower on June 17th 2024 to replace the drive motor controller.
The company Home Depot scheduled did not contact me so I called them. No answer, left message with no response. This went on for a couple weeks. I contacted Home Depot warranty department to let them know I was having difficulty contacting this small business that they set me up with to fix my mower. The Home Depot warranty department told me that this is the only company in the entire state of Washington that will do warranty work for them. I should have stopped my claim at that point but I was finally contacted by this company and they picked up the mower on July 3rd. They said it would be a week. Well, two weeks passed and no word on the mower.
I tried to call the company but no answer, left message with no response. Week 3 and week 4 pass by and still no word from this company. The Home Depot warranty department is also trying to contact this company during this time and getting no response. Week 5, and 6 pass and still no update. Finally, after over 7 weeks of calling this company someone answered the phone. After all that time all they could tell me was they ordered the wrong part. To keep the review short. After 3 months of opening my warranty claim and this company holding my mower and failing to fix it, communicate with me or the Home Depot warranty department, the Home Depot warranty department decided they had no other choice but to refund me the purchase price I paid for the mower. I did not want a refund.
My mower only had 74 hours on it and was always stored inside. There was nothing wrong with it other than replacing a very simple part. I asked for my mower to be returned to me but the Home Depot warranty department refused and said I opened the claim so they were keeping my mower. Yes, it was good to get the refund but looking at today’s prices I am looking at spending an additional $1500 or more out of pocket to replace my mower. I also spent $370 on a grass-catching attachment that now does me no good since they no longer make the model mower I had. This would have never happened if the Home Depot warranty department would have set me up with a legit business that had some ethics and respect to customers. This was a very costly mistake for me to buy high-cost items with warranties at Home Depot.

They did NOT deliver as promised or even warn me that the materials would not be delivered. I paid contractors to drive from Phoenix (not knowing materials would NOT be delivered).
Additionally, several “ship to store” items that were supposed to be shipped to the Kingman Home Depot and then delivered to my property were actually shipped to me. This means that UPS and Fed Ex started calling me to pick up packages at the Kingman airport. They also told me their work was guaranteed for a lifetime. Well, 1 year and 2 months pass, (still paying for the windows under their 24-month, no interest) and we get two leaks. Called the roofer and I'm told it was due to the caulking on the recently installed windows. Need to go back to those that installed the windows. I felt, Oh no problem! I have HD! Well, called them and was told, "We only guarantee the windows, not the installation", re-caulking would have to be paid by us! But not to worry the installer would be calling me.
Disappointed, I expected to, maybe, change the mind of the installer, after all, it has only been 1 year and 2 months! Well, guess what, rather than a phone call we just got by DHL an Installation Services Limited Warranty from HOME DEPOT..... Yes, you guessed right! It states how HD's warranty is very limited. Wish I had been given that document PRIOR to my purchasing the very expensive windows. Mind you, they are more expensive than many other companies in Florida. My dishwasher broke so I ordered a new one from Home Depot. I waited a week for delivery. I was looking forward to finally getting this done. The installers showed up with the new washer, and I left them in the kitchen to return to working from home. Immediately I could hear them like there were on some phone call. I thought nothing of it, but apparently they took "issue" with the water valve under my sink that my current dishwasher was using. I did not understand the problem as it worked fine. After a few minutes they explained because since there was a slight amount of corrosion on the valve they could not install the dishwasher. I would either have to get a plumber to replace the valve and reschedule the installation, call an appliance place to install it, or return the unit and start over. I opted to schedule a plumber and rescheduled another installation attempt for a week out.
So the plumber comes out and tells me that he will replace it if I want, but there is nothing wrong with that valve. Further, he tells me that with dishwashers and Home Depot this is common and it actually happened to his own mother. He said he tried to tell the installers the valve was fine, but they would not budge. He then told them they could turn the water off to the entire house instead, nope not acceptable. They would not let the customer turn the water off at the house or at the valve nor would they let the customer sign a waiver. So unless you have a house that was just build the day before with shiny new everything they won't install your dishwasher.
So the valve was perfectly fine for a reasonable person to install a new dishwasher. I have been in my house 20 years and had bought dishwashers from Sears and Lowe's, and this was the only time the valve was a big issue. I am attaching a photo - you judge. It is still solid and works fine. The sketchy part of this was the original installer waited till his co worker had stepped away to tell me that he COULD in fact install the dishwasher that evening, after his shift ended for $200 under the table. So I paid Home Depot already for installation, which they lied and said they could not do it because of the valve, but the valve was apparently fine because this guy would have done it that night for another $200. I passed on it as this whole operation is shady, sleazy, and I doubt this random guy was bonded and insured nor did I think he'd warranty his work.
So the local plumber who I hired to come out to replace the "broken valve" said the valve was fine, and he ended up installing the dishwasher. But this is not the end of it. With the dishwasher Home Depot had left TWO cords - the junction box one for hardwiring dishwasher - which is what I intended to do - and a cord that plugged into a household outlet. The junction box cord was defective. Dishwasher would NOT power on. Home Depot is useless but Bosch will be sending us a brand new one. So to get me through while I wait for this replacement cord comes, the plumber connected it to the plug in one temporarily so I would not have to keep handwashing dishes yet another week.
I am beyond frustrated with this installation experience. I had them install a built in microwave and except for the fact they did not leave me my product booklet, that went fine. Anything that requires them to hook up to water - dishwasher/Washer/Fridge with ice maker - expect them to come up with a fake phony reason to NOT be able to honor your install appointment. YOU will have to spend ANOTHER $200 replacing the working valve if it is not shiny enough for them, BUT maybe, since the installer knows this policy is a bunch of BS, maybe you can pay the installer $200 - ON THE SIDE WINK WINK - and under the table they will install it.
I view this piece as a total SCAM. I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot ever again. I have relayed to 4 Home Depot customer service people so far my experience with the valve and the "under the table" guy and they just stay silent - like a "So what this is normal for Home Depot". So the company is condoning this. They don't care - they just want to sell you a dishwasher. They don't care if you plan to have it one day but in reality have to call in plumbers, electricians, whatever fake reason their install team can come up with to NOT do the planned install. Expect to wait at least a week longer and have to go through the expense and aggravation of getting something that is not broke fixed because their scam artist installers do not think it looks like it came out of a plumbing store. SKIP THEM.

I made the mistake of ordering appliances from Home Depot, and it’s been an absolute nightmare. They rescheduled delivery twice, claiming they didn’t have enough people to carry the appliances to the second floor of my townhome—despite me giving all the details when I placed the order. The first time, they said they’d send a three-man team, but when the second crew showed up, they used the exact same excuse: they couldn’t deliver without more people. Customer service had no clue what was going on both times and confirmed it should have been a three-man job. After an 11-day delay, the third delivery team finally arrived, only to damage my house in the process.
When I asked for compensation, they tried to make me choose between getting compensated or getting help with the damages. Ridiculous. After weeks of endless, useless follow-ups with customer service, they finally offered me compensation, but I had to eat the cost of house repairs because I didn’t want to wait for their insurance team, who clearly don’t know what they’re doing either.
And here’s a warning: if you’re ordering for your townhome, especially if your kitchen is on the second floor and your washer/dryer is on the third floor, be prepared to waste both your money and peace of mind with these guys. They’re completely unprofessional and ill-equipped to handle deliveries to multi-level homes. This is hands-down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. To Whom It May Concern, I would strongly advise against ordering items from Home Depot through their online app. There appears to be a glitch in the application that fails to notify customers when their packages have been delivered. Unfortunately, my family and I experienced this firsthand. After one of our packages was stolen without us being aware it had even been delivered, I contacted Home Depot multiple times to address the issue. Their response was disappointing. They acknowledged that the package delivery notification system was malfunctioning but still refused to take responsibility because their delivery partner, ONTRAK, had taken a photo showing the package on our porch.
Here’s the solution they offered me: "We are sorry this happened and we understand your frustration. While we recognize the issue with the delivery notifications, there isn't anything we can do. You will need to file a report with the police for the missing package, send that report to Citibank, and possibly get reimbursed for the item. You can then reorder it."
This response places the burden on customers, even though the failure to notify was due to a glitch in their system. If you're elderly, disabled, or have any limitations, this process could be especially cumbersome. Essentially, if you don't know your package has arrived and it’s stolen, Home Depot will not take responsibility, even if it’s due to a flaw in their app. Instead, they expect you to navigate a complicated process of filing a police report and seeking reimbursement from your bank. Consider this a warning to potential customers. My advice: test the system with a small order to see if notifications work for you before committing to larger purchases. Best wishes, and hopefully, you won’t have to learn the hard way as we did.

I ordered some boxes online from Home Depot for an upcoming move. After receiving an email that my items were delivered, I reached out via their customer service support text number as I had not received them. "Alex" my customer support agent sent me a photo from FedEx confirming the delivery -- only problem, it wasn't my house. After letting Alex know this, he took it upon himself to look up my address in Google street view and try to argue with me about the color of my house (he was looking at my neighbor's house). Very weird and accusatory behavior, I've never had a customer service agent do something as unprofessional as that before in my life. Obviously I pointed out my house and he never apologized but simply said he was "going off what Google photos showed"???
When I asked for a refund for the package they didn't deliver to me, I was told that "FedEx is the one that delivered the package and we need to allow them to investigate." He also told me to dispute it with my credit card company. Absolutely wild dodge of any and all responsibility here, which I can only assume is actual company policy (on top of the weird internet sleuthing and accusations, which may have just been this rep). After I let him know I was pretty dissatisfied with this interaction and would report it if I didn't get a refund in the next 3 days, he continued to argue with me pretty unnecessarily.
I will report it if I don't receive a refund (although I would imagine they would want to avoid being reported like this? Baffling) but hopefully it will come through. Either way I intend to try to file a complaint for this interaction as it was very aggressive and adversarial for no reason. It was like twenty dollars and I know what my house looks like -- not sure why a company like this is denying they dropped the ball, trying to pin it solely on the delivery company, and more to the point had an incredibly unprofessional customer service representative to handle this with me. They honestly could have told me it would take 3 days to resolve, in a very different manner, and I would have understood. The approach instead was nothing short of hostile and has left me with a very bad impression of the company.

I called home depot on the 2nd telling them that I have not received a timeframe for the delivery and I was told that sometimes they send it late and assured me that it was going to be delivered on the next day but it was a no show. And I was rescheduled for the 6th and no one showed up and again they rescheduled it for today (Aug 8th 2024).
7:10 pm and I did not receive a timeframe for the delivery. Of course I called home depot customers service at 5:00 pm and they said I should still receive the timeframe. I have been on the phone so many times but basically they are telling me I am at mercy of the delivery company and there is nothing that they can do except to give me a discount after the fridge is delivered.

Costed me thousands dollars in a job cancel cause of them and find out they wrong ones batteries. Now Home Depot just lying, giving me the runaround, dodging the problem. Never order off them. Just horrible experience. Never again will see a dollar from me.

Home Depot reached out to us and the issue was resolved to our complete satisfaction. This is the great HD experience we have always had in the past. I think there may have been some mis-communication and I may have over reacted because I was so disappointed. All is good and so is Home Depot!

We ordered 2 side boards that cost $1300 each. They arrived a week late and both had major damage. HD offered $600 if we kept them and did our own repairs or it could also be applied on a re-order. We talked about it and called them back. They refused to honor the $600 it we re-ordered. They lie and you will never get the same CS that you previously spoke with. Screw them. I will make my purchases elsewhere.

Do not use Home Depot for kitchen renovations. Kraftmaid cabinetry is not what is used to be. My install date was April 6, 2024 and I still don't have everything I ordered installed. Today is July 30, 2024. The cabinets I do have installed are total crap. Dings, bubbles, cracks, poor quality all around. They are three different colors! I was told the trim, doors, and boxes are all painted in different facilities. OK, so you HAVE to have tricolored cabinets? On top of this, ZERO customer service from HomeDepot. ZERO. Weeks go by without a word on what's going on and why it's taking months!!! HORRIBLE. I'm embarrassed I fell for this big box junk!

I made a mistake of buying armchairs from Home Depot online. The reason I did it because they promised to deliver next day. They took the money momentarily, Next morning I received their text that said Get excited. Your chairs are on their way. Later I got an email saying that they have a problem. No armchairs. Maybe in 5 days. I really want to write a good review for at least anybody. It seems that all big businesses are went down to the drain. There is no honesty, dignity, respect for themselves. Disgusting. I will definitely stay away from Home Depot. You make your own conclusion. Based on what I feel I am in for a big fight for my money!

Updated on 09/22/2024: I actually did go in to the store and asked about the "special" with a Home Depot door representative, but did not give my name. The salesperson had NO IDEA of any "in store" special....as I suspected. I then emailed the salesperson back that had emailed me regarding the "special". I asked him to let me know when the next "special" would be as I would like to order a replacement door for the discontinued storm door. That was 2 months ago. I have never heard from Home Depot again....
Original: I have had numerous negative situations arise with Home Depot while trying to do a few home improvement projects within a months time. First, I ordered and paid for a storm door. I also paid the $40 fee to have the door measured by Home Depot's installer. The installer did not mention any extra fees or that my door was a irregular size at any time. My door was a standard 32 x 80. Home Depot immediately wanted me to pay for the installation, and a extra $55 fee to fit the storm door to a standard door.
A common scam listed on the internet. However, I had already received a email that the door I had bought and paid for was no longer available. I continued to receive numerous calls and emails requesting I pay for the installation of the storm door that didn't exist. When I had not paid within 3 days I received another email stating the door I wanted was now on sale! Yeah right. I checked online and visited a Home Depot. The door was not on sale. I emailed the sales person explaining this. He then states it's a special "in store" promotion and I would have to speak directly to the person listed in the email. Come on!
I ordered 8 boxes of wall planks online and had them delivered. 2 of the boxes were the wrong planks. Home Depot now provides customer service via text, a complete and utter joke. I only wish I could include the message string of this idiotic conversation. I was asked how I would like to return the wrong boxes. I chose to have them picked up by UPS. Home Depot then emailed me labels which I immediately put on the 2 boxes and set them out for pick up. Not that easy.... UPS shows up and throws 2 labels on the ground next to the boxes and drives away. I contact the wonderful customer service text line again. I am then accused of not having the boxes out and ready for UPS and questioned as to why I was emailed labels and why UPS was dropping off labels. Isn't that a question Home Depot should answer themselves? Good grief! The boxes are still in my driveway.

I'm over Home Depot. We live in a mountain area and order supplies regularly to work on our home. However, home depot has repeatedly canceled or rescheduled our orders, almost never delivering on time or in the correct quantity. We have had to call customer service so many times you'd think we work for them. Save yourself time and money and go with Lowe's from now on.

Crew2 is the contractor for Home Depot and they caused a lot of unnecessary stress throughout our project. We signed a contract for a simple cabinet refacing project. The project took 11 months to complete from the time the contract was signed. The installer came in with the attitude of cutting corners wherever possible and no planning on the layout of the panels. As a result, we ended up with some panels with busy wood grain patterns next to other panels with no pattern. There were 2 end panels where veneer was used instead of the panels that came from the vendor (this was confirmed twice of which once was by Crew2's measure tech) and Crew2 would not take responsibility but, instead, told us that we need to accept differences in wood grain. After several attempts where we were told the panels would be reordered, there was always an excuse a couple days later of why the panels couldn't be reordered.
Finally, Home Depot Corporate became involved and when the panels were reordered, they came in the wrong stain color. At that time, we were told by the project manager that we had the choice of either a mismatch of veneer and wood or a mismatch of stain colors. When the installer came back to fix the issues of laying trim on top of base (which caused gaps), rough edges, screws sticking through which caused sharp areas, and base overhanging cabinets, another member of Crew2 came with him and, at that point it was finally determined that the panels would be reordered correctly. We had 7 members of Crew2, one member of the local Home Depot store, and the Home Depot Executive Escalations team involved to finish our project. This is completely unacceptable customer service. Crew2 has proven to be incompetent and unprofessional. In addition, Home Depot stands behind Crew2 instead of listening to the feedback from the customers.

I ordered an appliance online - and got the haul away & water line set up. I checked the list for things to go before. Empty the refrigerator- hired help for my twins. And they came and said they can’t hook up because not water value behind the refrigerator. While online it only says 6 ft away it needs to be, not behind. They were going to leave it - there in the midst of my baby's chaos- I’m like no - and they couldn’t answer any questions because they are a third party only to deliver. When I call Home Depot support - Carlos the manager - said I need to hire a plumber to change the valve location because no delivery people will set that up. Well lies cause Abt said they could - and can connect to line currently being used. Don’t go to Home Depot!

Purchased rubber home gym flooring rolls online, set up for store pickup. Went to pick up 3 rolls this morning, after waiting over a week for delivery. 2 of the 3 rolls were inadequately wrapped with the edges torn in multiple places. These were unusable. The 3 rolls cost nearly $600, and they expect me to take them damaged? I informed the staff of the damage, and their response, "oh yeah, looks like it". Her attitude was one of someone who has come to expect this type of damage, and expects me to accept it as well.
I told them I would not accept these items, and demanded a refund, which they did provide. But now I've wasted over a week waiting for damaged products. Are there any companies left that actually take pride in their work, product, and customer service? Becoming less and less inclined to believe there are. Guess I will be going to Lowe's for my home needs. Thanks for wasting my time Home Depot.

I buy all appliances through Home Depot but after purchasing installation they were unable to install. We have a basic builder home and they were unable to install a dishwasher. They said they would send someone the next day then the next day told me they would be unable to do anything. This is false advertising that they would install and were unable to.

Home Depot always give you a delivery date within day or so to be deliver but as soon as you pay for order the 1-2 day delivery turn into a week sometimes two weeks. Home depot show you how many of your order is available at your local home depot store but they ship your order an out of state store. This has happen to me twice as if I have nothing else to do with my time. Never will orders from home depot.

Updated on 07/16/2024: You would think after appliances are returned a manager would call to ask what happened. Just not service I want going a few years down the line. I’m so glad I went to Lowe’s. So far a great experience
Original Review: Hello my name is Kelli. I purchased appliances from Home Depot on 5/27/24. As of Last Saturday they finally came to pick up both appliances. I had problems from the very first delivery date. They never showed up nor did they ever call, delivery date number two no show again, delivery 3 deliver and appliance Stove was missing parts and stove was unable to use, refrigerator was also delivered incomplete set up. The water line was installed incorrectly. I called and had to wait again for 1 week when my new stove was delivered for my water line would be installed correctly. Well it goes on. Yes delivery never happened and Home depot couldn’t find where our stove was. Had to wait a few days. No response from supervisor or employee.
On delivery day to pick up appliances the driver calls. Says he’s 15 minutes away. I emptied my fridge. For the 3rd time. At this Everything was supposed to be picked up. 1 hour goes by NO delivery person shows up. My husband calls. No answer. They finally answered and told my husband it was canceled. I’m sorry he was suppose to deliver my stove and the order was canceled. My husband said, "You guys are suppose to pick up." He said no he wasn’t and hung up. At this point remember they took my original fridge on 6-11-24. I called and talked to many supervisor. They all were pointless, not helpful. They were just as bad as the entry level customer service reps were. Sad to say.
I’m diabetic and now have been without a fridge for 2 days and I don’t my old one to use temporarily while I order my new appliances. I also have not got my refund amount given back. They told me 3-5 business days. Wow I have to wait that long without a fridge and they don’t care. Never buy appliance from homedepot. I should have went with my gut and went to Best Buy. I went there first and Home Depot beat their price. This is an example don’t always go cheaper. This has been a NIGHTMARE.

Order Number available upon request. For three major Kitchen Appliances. An out of state client purchased three appliances for his condo, and requested that I meet and coordinate the installation. For almost a week, I have reached out to Home Depot to get a delivery/installation window. The most recent contact was a call to their 800 number yesterday at 12:30. I was told we would be contacted that afternoon. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. So, I get up this morning only to be given (on the link to the order) and learned they have scheduled me from 3-7 pm. Had they bothered to communicate with me, they would have learned that I have a standing meeting every Tuesday at 6 pm to prepare for Mass at my church the following evening. So, I contacted Home Depot 800 number, they offered to move to tomorrow. This after I cleared the day (Tuesday). Escalated to Scott, a supervisor. Repeatedly talked over me. Couldn’t help me. Lowe’s is such a better company!
