First let me say I am shocked to be writing this review. I have done probably $10,000 of business on appliances and home repair/upgrade items with the local Home Depot store and have had great experiences. I shop there for the vast majority of our hardware purchases. We put in a new patio and decided to order a new furniture set for the patio. Looked around at all the local stores and found what we wanted at Home Depot. We had to order it online and they only had one color for the cushions available. We ordered that and figured it was a color we could live.
The first part of the order shipped in mid April. There were three packages. They all shipped at the same time from the same place in Maryland. One got there the next day. One got there two days later. The third which was shipped by Fedex Special like the first item we received, went to TX then to AZ then to CA and finally after about 10 days we got it. I know that shipping is horrible right now. I can understand this wasn't their fault but it still upset me that it happened. The last part was the dining table and chairs and it didn't ship until April 30. It went to SAIA's warehouse in Fontana, CA. It sat in the trailer there until May 6. Again I can understand that with the pandemic places are working short handed so it happens. Then it went to Phoenix. Then El Paso. Then backwards to Albuquerque. Then to Amarillo. Then Oklahoma City, Kansas City and finally Chicago. It arrived there May 11. It never shows leaving.
After talking to Home Depot they couldn't tell me anything after it sat there for 5 more days. I finally called SAIA with the tracking number and they told me that it had been lost. Apparently Home Depot had called them the day before. Well now it's May 25 two days later and nothing from the trucking company or Home Depot. I called Home Depot customer service again and they showed in their system that it was at the local delivery company. That's not what their website showed so I asked them to verify that for me. I was on hold for about 20 minutes and the got back on and told me that no it wasn't at the local delivery company. It also wasn't at the transfer company that was supposed to get it to them and it wasn't at SAIA either. It apparently was lost.
I was told I could cancel the order and reorder but that the item was now at least 3 weeks out before they would have any available. I told them it wasn't acceptable that I expected them to reorder it themselves and make good on the order. They had already charged me for the product just short of a month ago. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they put the problem escalation supervisor on the line. She said there was nothing she could do. They can't initiate orders and this was their policy. I told her it was pretty poor customer service that after them messed up I just had to go back in get in line again at the back of the line. She said that shipping is really bad now and there was nothing they could do it was out of their hands. I reminded her that they contracted the shipping and so they were things they could do. I could almost here her shrug her shoulders through the phone and she said she could cancel the order for me.
Then she mentioned in a tone that almost sounded like she thought she was doing me a favor that she could give me my money back too. I sarcastically thanked her and said so I won't have to sue you then. I asked if they were going to compensate me for the issue or the lost interest for having my money for a month but not providing me with anything. She said not that I hadn't really lost anything. I again said this was extremely poor customer service. Again she told me she could cancel it and give me my money back and then I could order whatever I wanted from wherever I wanted. I told her to go ahead and cancel it. Now I have half a patio set and I can either order something from someone else that won't match or go through this all over again.

Paid for 2 Rubbermaid Brute 44 gallon trash pails online. They said they would sent me an email when the order was ready for pickup. So about an hour later I get the email and it says to go to customer service. I go and the order is not picked yet and they say it will be a 30 min wait. At this point I have to wait because I paid and they said they won’t let me take 2 off the shelf myself for “inventory reasons.” Why do they tell you orders are ready when they are not? I will never use online ordering with them again.

Beware ordering from Home Depot online and requesting direct delivery of a Ryobi Electric riding mower. I had to wait a month for the mower and then the last mile shipping agent sent me a mower that was seriously damaged. The driver was very apologetic however stated that they in fact loaded this heavily damaged mower and his manager insisted they bring it to me and try to get me to sign for it. This is what Home Depot tolerates. I was so looking forward to getting this product and now I am totally turned off from Home Depot. Buyer beware, last mile delivery by Home Depot is horrible. While they did give me a refund, it takes time to process, yep they took my $3k right away but it will take 4-5 days to get it back. Oh yeah, they would have happily kept it and put me in for another mower, which also would take a month to get here by the same shipper. NO THANKS Home Depot. Never again.

I would like to file a complaint. We ordered almost 5000.00 dollars worth of appliances the first of April. We was told they would be delivered on May 5th. We live in the county. We was told they only deliver to the county on Wednesdays. Well on the 5th Home Depot brings a semi truck to our county address. The truck wouldn't make it up our concrete driveway. I was told it was ok because they have a smaller truck and would deliver on Monday. Well I wait all day today. I started calling at 8:00 am. Just to find out the truck guy lied to me. It was his last day of work and he didn't care. So I was told they could bring the same semi again this Wednesday. Which would probably be the same outcome.
So by the end of the day I go back to home depot to just get a refund. The manager of the store was a great help and very nice. Long story short, our refund is in the process. We've had Lowe's deliver several things to our home. We've had concrete and dump trucks make it to our home. But home depot can't. After this ordeal we will never shop at home depot again. We should've been told when we bought the appliances that a semi must be able to make it to your home.

I placed an online order at Home Depot for a hardtop gazebo on my 4/7/21 and was given a delivery date of 4/16/21. The delivery date came and I called on 4/25/21 to inquire about the changing dates on the HD website and to let them know that the tracking system indicated no record of my order. Today is 5/1/21 and in 3 days, there is a payment due on the card I used for this purchase...and I still don't have my gazebo! I asked to speak with a supervisor but they are non-existent. I asked for a refund but they don't want to do it because my item is "in transit." I will never make an online purchase with HD again and am going to close my credit account with this joke of a company. I checked on 4/29 and saw a delivery date of 5/3/21 and today, 5/1/21, the delivery date changed again...to 5/4/21! Maybe I'll have in time for my birthday on 5/18! That's it...They want to surprise me ;-(

I was paying for my items at cash register, when suddenly clerk yelled, "Stop, stop do you have a receipt?" A young man with a cart load of items walked right out the door, I said, "Are you going to do anything," and cashier/clerk said, "No, company policy states do not pursue. As a employee could be hurt," which I understand, but as a paying customer I started thinking if more customers can walk into store and fill up a cart and walk out of store without paying, or doing nothing when a person is stealing, isn't this promoting stealing? Also if this is happening at all stores who ends up paying more for item, you guessed it the paying customer, very sad to see.

We've had nothing but bad experiences with opening a Home Depot credit card! WARNING as a heads up if you plan to do the same! First, the "extra" warranty that that tell you to buy because it will cover certain things such as scratches on the appliances or as the store rep put it "if your kids scruff up your appliances", etc. were LIES! They don't cover it, they ended up just giving us a $100 Gift Card for their "mistaken info" when we've already paid for the warranty! Second, their credit card website NEVER works, never lets you log in or reset your password, never sends a bill because you can't even get into opt out of paperless. You ALWAYS have to call in for the runaround and it still doesn't work! Good tactic so you'll never know how much you really owe!
Third, their promo of no interest for 24 months sounded great! We paid a $4000 appliance package down to $2900 then they slapped on a $2500 interest amount due without notice after the promo ended, going back to the original balance due of $4000. So NOW we're back to square one with more to pay of $5400! Keep in mind, you can't even get into their website!! NOT WORTH IT unless you plan to pay everything off before the promo because the interest WILL go back to inception! Ridiculous!!!! IN A PERFECT WORLD, yes you would have checked when the promo was over and paid it all off when you actually received the bill or can get into their website! SAD EXPERIENCE all around! Just a few months too late trying to sort out bills, balances, websites, and understand their promos! Never again, closing account!

I don't usually write reviews but I got upset over the Home Depot practice of price gouging. If you see online, Home depot list a a host of available doors from as low as $500 (or maybe lower). This guy showed promptly and made the measurement on my doors. When I asked the price, he goes, "I can't tell you until you pick." He points me to the tablet without price on them. I go, "I am not spending fortune and I would like the price range before I pick them." He says, "Oh you can't do that until I pick." The price online for Home depot is not the same because he has to add knobs, locks, frames... Then he says it's a minimum of $25... I go what $1500? Stunned I have to ask him, "Are you a part of Home depot? Why the price so high?" He nonetheless continues he's a part of Home depot, an affiliate, Home Depot Exterior. The price is high because it's life time guarantees...
At the point I had to ask him to leave. It goes beyond my belief. I am reasonably educated consumer and the markup is too high. And my belief was confirmed later on when I visited Lowe's. Don't buy from Home depot. It's a scam. This guy had even audacity to leave his card and swears me everyone pays this with price....

This store has always been giving problems with returns. I have a Pro account and I am always buying material and tools at this Home Depot. Manager said their hands are tied. I have never had such a horrible experience as I did at this home depot.

Home depot is currently violating FTC laws in refusing to provide a prompt refund when delivery is delayed and later than the advertised and agreed upon time. I ordered a product that was supposed to arrive on 3/31, but it hasn't even shipped yet. It even says on the order page that it was supposed to be delivered 4/1 (already different from what was advertised, but still), and today's date is 4/2. I wasn't given any notice about a delay in shipping, and I do not consent to a delay. Therefore, HD must give me a refund, but I've talked to around 5 associates now and they all claim that they "cannot" follow the law and give me my legally entitled refund. One even said they couldn't cancel my order since it hasn't shipped yet, which makes no sense!
FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule: The Rule, issued in 1975, requires sellers who solicit buyers to order merchandise through the mail, via the Internet, or by phone to have a reasonable basis to expect that the sellers can ship within the advertised time frame. The Rule also requires that, when a seller cannot ship within the promised time, the seller must obtain the buyer’s consent to a delay in shipping or refund payment for the unshipped merchandise. I've filed a claim with the FTC and I encourage anyone else in this situation to do the same, since it seems like their basic practice is to break this law.

I chose Home Depot to complete my kitchen remodel. Initially the process was great. However, the subcontractor provided by HD who installed the countertop did a horrible job. They were difficult to work with immediately. They made it clear their time was more valuable than mine when trying to schedule. The man who did the measurements was rude to me and my main contractor. The install though was terrible. One slab was cut at a wrong angle and did not butt up to the stove, at places leaving a gap of almost 1/2 an inch. The same on another slab. I was told the seam wouldn't be noticeable, but there's a ridge and it's not level with the neighboring slab. (I was told the seam should be polished down till it can't be seen or felt) the slab for the sink is where it's really unjustified below industry standard work.
The hole for the sink was cut so far back, the faucet can't be installed. He cut the hole for faucet anyway knowing this. They told me I could remove my window frame. To make things worse, the installer drug dog poo into my house. I don't have a dog. Immediately I called the store. Logan asked I provide photos, which I did and was told, in writing, it was below standards and would be looked into. I never heard back from the store. I called corporate and was connected to Erika. She actually laughed when I told her everything. I was contacted by the installer who sent their manager to the house to inspect, again my schedule was inconvenient for them. He attempted to spin me but admitted it was poorly done.
I was later contacted by someone at the installation company via email and was told it was not properly installed and needed to be replaced. Erika at Home Depot corporate also sent me an email saying it would need to be replaced. I was then contacted by Adrienne at the store who involved a guy named Steve. They told me they'd give me any faucet I wanted and financial compensation for my troubles. I want to note Steve was aggressive and attempted, in my opinion, to try to bully and intimidate me. The call dropped.
I emailed Erika and accepted the new install, the faucet and financial compensation I was offered. She responded in writing the next day telling me I had two options: $500 and I just deal with the poor quality work or they will come install a faucet I provide at my expense and they'll give me $200 for the inconvenience. I responded I expected they honor their original resolution offers. She responded it was not negotiable. I have filed a law suit in order to recover my money. In the meantime, I live with a kitchen that is not fully functional. It's costing me money in a variety of ways from eating out, bottled water, lost wages to my other workers, etc. Plus the inconvenience of having to do dishes in my bathroom for over two months now and my house in disarray and it will still be a while before it's resolved. Home Depot has made it clear they don't think I'm worthy of quality work and they are an unethical company.

This store manager, "Mudasir", from the Glastonbury Store in Ct is horribly rude. How did he get to be a store manager? Yea, this is the head guy. It seems Home Depot just does not care at all any longer. If you get him on the phone don't expect help. Home Depot delivery is the worst I have ever experienced. To set up a refrigerator they sent two teams--The first broke the floor where the prior washer was. Because the washer and dryer required to set up two plugs, 110/220, the second one came almost 3 weeks later (no other date available) and did not know what to do. Spent only 10 min, the incompetent person who was sent did not listen to the electrician and plumber who tried to help him. He said he had to deliver 19 jobs so he did not have time to listen. He did not do anything--Because he claimed that there was a need to add a key that was not necessary he left and convinced their delivery company that otherwise this would be a risk.
Next date was 2 weeks later at minimum. Thus, had to call someone else to do the job who was able to do the job. Those who answered the phone were terrible as well--There were multiple excuses and then lied to the Home Depot assistant who was trying to help to get an earlier appointment because the set up was going to take almost 2 months! Do not buy in Home Depot if you need delivery of merchandise that needs to be set up. They only have this terrible company that is not part of Home Depot so they do not care. I chose Home Depot despite the bad reviews because I thought it would be delivered earlier than other companies. My error. Follow reviews!

Home Depot has product overview and product specs that are contradictory. I needed to purchase tiles for a wall shower that requires impervious tiles because of its high exposure to water and humidity. I purchased the following product: Nantucket 2 in. x 20 in. Turquoise Polished Ceramic Wall Tile Internet #312138472 Model #EXT3RD101912.
Product specifications stated that it was safe in shower (under location - shower), however, the product overview states that it is non-vitreous. The Info & Guides specification pamphlet specifically state that non-vitreous CANNOT be used in showers. I made my purchased based upon the product specifications, but now that I have confirmed with a Home Depot tile rep that the online specs are completely incorrect, I will need to initiate a return. I have seen these tiles used in showers, the product specs have mislead consumers into thinking these are safe for showers but they are not. Their high water absorption leads to the harboring of bacteria.
Another great example of product overview and specs having incorrect information is the following products: Appaloosa Arabesque Caribbean Blue Internet #308146538 Model #EXT3RD101647. Product overview states that it is both non-vitreous and impervious. If you know anything about tiles you know it is impossible for it to be both. So which is it?
Newport Turquoise 2 in. x 10 in. x 11mm Polished Ceramic Subway Wall Tile Internet #308862728 Model #EXT3RD100432. Product overview states it is "Not frost resistant". Product specifications under Tile Features states it is "Chemical Resistant, Frost Resistant, Water Resistant". Is it not frost resistant or is it frost resistant?

We paid for purchase on debit card and would get tracking number when it shipped because it was shipping to my home. On Jan 27 we still had no tracking number so we called the store and was told to call the trucking company. 2 Hour on hold with trucking company only to be told they had no record of any such order and to call the store back. Called and talked to ANOTHER manager and they were calling the manufacturer and Ryder and would reorder unit if needed and they would call us back. Call never came.
Several more calls to the store all ended with, "Will have to call you back" and we are still waiting on those call backs. We finally called corporate to get something done and after another 2 hour phone conversations with several people were told they could not do anything to help us and to go to the store and get our money back.
On Feb. 10 we returned to store to get refund and were once again sent to ANOTHER manager and was told that was not possible to refund our money because it showed it was still on order. They said they would get order cancelled and re order and personally call with tracking number. Still waiting on that call as well. On Feb 15 still had no tracking number so called store and they said they would call us back once again, and yes we are still waiting on that call as well.
Feb. 23 Returned to store only to find that they could not even find the order much less a tracking number and at that time told them we just wanted a refund and yet another 2 hour debate with another manager told us that the system was down but they would call us when our refund was complete. I did get a call back that evening that refund was on its way and to keep watching my account. After several days of talking to my bank on Feb 26 we went to the store again and demanded our money back and was told by yet another manager that they couldn't because they were having an IT problem, We called corporate once again and they also said it was an IT problem. In November we were replacing our 20+ year old dishwasher (that was originally installed by Home Depot). The installers arrived with the dishwasher and told us that we could not have it installed that day because it was hardwired and they could not do that. I had the workers (who did not speak English, I only understood once speaking to their boss on the phone) call their boss, it was explained to me that in my zip code they cannot deal with hard wiring of appliances, which is crazy because MOST dishwashers are hardwired. So I was told that I would need to hire an electrician to put an outlet under the sink. Anyway, back to the drawing board and I had to reorder a more expensive dishwasher because the original was now on backorder.
I got another installation date for Nov 18 and once again, men who spoke only words of English, nothing you could actually use to communicate. They “installed” the dishwasher, but actually they just pushed it into the spot and never bolted it in. WTF??? So, I now had a dishwasher that when you opened the front door, the entire unit came forward. Then to top it off, however they “installed” it - they did NOT do it correctly. Mind you, I phoned Home Depot about this shoddy install but either got hung up on or couldn’t understand the reps. So I attempt to use the dishwasher, it is horrible, now I’m really mad because it was a more expensive dishwasher than what I wanted, especially because I had to pay an electrician.
The coffee cups still had coffee in them, it was worse than the old unit I replaced. Then I realize that my cabinet under the sink was flooded. Are you serious right now! I have now spent a total of over 5 hours on the phone with Home Depot, most of which was on hold. SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT HOME DEPOT! Home Depot doesn't care about their customers! They took a Christmas gift and obliterated it: After spending almost $5k they show customer appreciation by missing MULTIPLE delivery appointments, repeatedly lying to me, never following up, dropping the ball repeatedly, trying to pass off a used/damaged toolbox as 'new', and making their customer come pick up their 3 pallet flooring "DELIVERY" order themselves (by which we had no other means than to unload one 30lb box at a time!). Why? Because we couldn't wait yet another week not even knowing if it would really show up AGAIN! Oh yeah did I mention the lies? Or that management agreed to a deal with me, after which corporate called me and retracted from it!
Most importantly to me, the toolbox I got for my fiance (something he's wanted for a long time) was a Christmas gift! I was so happy to be able to give him this gift this year, the look on his face was unforgettable... But now I just feel bad for it because all it has done is cause us stress and waste our time and money (3 days off work for missed appointments!) The most crushing moment was when he made the decision to pick up the flooring and deal with his gift later.. He called me after they tried passing off a damaged box as New, and he said "I don't even care about the toolbox anymore, let's just get the floors done." ???? Every shred of glamour and glory this toolbox had to him was stripped away by this careless company!
They dropped the ball over and over and when it came down to it... I got a call from corporate (they sold me a box they didn't even have!) and their way of fixing it (after management and I had an agreement for how to fix it)... Wanted to purchase a tile saw in which was on sale for an extended period of time. HD stores never had the item in stock, I checked many times only to be told, maybe next week, and now that the item is back in stock they will not honor the price. Spoke to store on several occasions and to HD customer service and was told that is their policy. Upon trying to go further with my complaint, I am given the same 800 number as used previously for me to call. Why in the world would HD give a phone number, then expect me to be on hold for a very extended amount of time, only to be bounced around like a ping pong ball. I WAS a Pro account contractor, after this I’ll move on.

We had our cabinets refaced in 2012 for $10.000. In 2015 the hinges started breaking from the weight of the doors. We bought new hinges and replace them several times on several different doors. Now the door on the corner cabinet has fallen off due to a design flaw. They attached the two! hinges to a 1 inch piece of original cabinet wood (see photo).
I finally contacted the sales manager after trying several different Home Depot contacts that ended in no response. The sales guy is a great sales manager but not so good with follow through (unless you are buying of course). I've been waiting nine months for him to make arrangements for someone to come down here and fix this! Meanwhile I have giant holes where I should have cabinet doors in my kitchen. It is past getting old!
If you plan to have cabinets refaced make sure that you go through your entire kitchen with him and look for places where the hinges won't hold up because the doors that they replace your old doors with are very heavy. In addition, if you live someplace that takes longer than an hour to get to from a major city I don't recommend this company. I am extremely disappointed and expect to be out a lot more cash because now I will have to contact someone else to take care of something that should not have happened in the first place!

Home Depot is using a firm called Temco Logistics to deliver and install appliances. The crew from Temco Logistics believed that my dishwasher was a built-in and that they didn't have an obligation to take out the old one and install the new one. It wasn't a built-in at all. Their own records with Home Depot would show the old dishwasher was installed in June 2018. The previous installation crew managed to take one out and put this one in okay. I don't see any reason why Temco Logistics cannot provide me with the services I paid for.

After having the same washer and dryer for 20+ years I decided to go to my local Home Depot to get a new front loading washer and dryer. I fell in love with a LG set. When purchasing the washer and dryer we decided to open up a Home Depot card to build my husband's credit. We put 1/2 on the card and 1/2 on my debit card. This was on 11/28/20. The sales person who helped us said we couldn't get the washer and dryer until 1/9/21. Though it was over a month away we decided that would be find because we were going to custom build a pedestal for this purchase and I would need a bit to complete that project. We were told that we would get a phone call the day before to give us our delivery window. We never received a call on 1/8/21. I had to call to see what is going on with the delivery. I found out the washer and dryer delivery was now pushed out to 2/17/21! We received no phone call, no heads up.
My washer has since quit working so now I do not have a washer. I went to the store to see what we can do or if they have a comparable set I can get sooner. The sales person said we may be able to get the washer and dryer set in white sooner, but couldn't guarantee this either. The sales person who was helping started talking about their MLK sale deals. I found another set, the date we could get this one was 2/5/21 and that was not a guaranteed date. We decided to get a refund and try somewhere else, however the refund is where it gets super fun.
This is where everything gets super fantastic. We had already paid off the Home Depot card and they froze the account because it isn't normal for people to make a big purchase and pay it off so quickly. I spoke with a manger and he said he would get me a cash refund due to all the issues we had. I was like great this is fantastic. The manager left and 10 minutes later came back and said he cannot give me the cash refund he said he would. It would all have to happen the way we purchased it. The manager also made a comment he would like to see the corporation just do away with appliance sells because his life would be easier if they didn't have to worry about them. This was not professional.
My husband was on the phone forever with the Home Depot card to get it unfrozen to accept the refund. Once he got through they said we have to call back in 2 days to see if the refund went through, but the account will be frozen until the refund pushes through. Once the refund is complete it will be 7-10 business days for us to get a check for the refund. They cannot electronically push the refund back to the bank that paid off the card.
The communication is lacking. While we were trying to work out options with the store the lady in the front let us know that there has been so many issues with appliances and people have been waiting 4+ months for their appliances to come into stock. Had we known this we would have shopped elsewhere or went with another manufacturer. The lady also said that the delivery/warehouse personnel are a 3rd party provider and they are hit and miss with the communication to the customers and there is nothing they can do about it. I would love to know why they are even selling items they know will not be in stock for 4+ months. Why they are doing business with 3rd party vendors that are known for lack of communicating with their customers? All of this reflects badly on them. They did nothing to make this purchase right.
I am out a washer and dryer, I have to wait a week to 2 weeks for a refund. All of this could have been okay had honest communication taken place. Once we get the refund we will be canceling the credit card. My husband is a contractor who has many times gone to Home Depot multiple times a day to assist his customers. Because there was nothing done to make this right he will be using Lowe's now for this daily construction needs.
My suggestions for the store to improve:1. Be honest with the customers. Let them know that the manufactures are being delayed and the purchases can take months to arrive.
2. Do not have sales for items you do not have available to customers. Most of you customers will need the appliances soon otherwise they would not be shopping for appliances.
3. Do not offer a solution you cannot follow through with.
4. Don't blame all the issues on other companies. The people you do business with will reflect positively or negatively on you. If you continue to get complaints do business with another company that can keep YOUR promises.

I gave Home Depot one star because I had to choose something in that field, but based upon the events, I would have attributed no stars if that were an option. While delivering a refrigerator, Home Depot, through its contracted subcontractor, damaged my property and refused to accept responsibility. This resulted in significant demarcation to what had been new hardwood floors installed the week before, with the installer concluding services just the evening before Home Depot was granted access to the premises for purposes of delivery. Consumers beware of choosing Home Depot for any project involving access to your premises. If their actions result in property damage, they will not stand behind the customer in any case. They did not review the matter at all, nor come by the property to view the damage. Simply concluded that they were not liable.
It is also worth mentioning that the refrigerator delivered was defective, the entire stainless steel backing was damaged/separated from the back of the refrigerator. I am still in the process of attempting to get Home Depot to refund a portion of the purchase price as compensation for the defective appliance. This is now 5 weeks after delivery. After spending upwards of $6,000 in the last several months at Home Depot, I will never purchase from this company again.

This message might some of you say this is pernicious of me to post about worst service from Home Depot South Brunswick NJ. Take this as a lesson and not personally. Understand the expectations that consumers have towards a billion-dollar business. In this day and age, it’s proven that smaller businesses have great relationships with their customers than do large businesses. That’s because the larger, the more responsibilities, another thing most people fail to realize.
This is feedback for Home Depot service and as Company Home Depot to do better job in customer service. This is not directed towards to any specific person that work for this company. Feel free to read through, but understand one thing, if you think that because a billion-dollar company is successful due to the revenue they’ve generated, just remember that they are as great as their last customer transaction. These are sequence of events which occurred during Hard Wood Flooring buy and Installation responsibility owned by Home Depot South Brunswick NJ. I paid amount for Hard Wood Installation on 11/25 /2021 and it has been over month and I am struggling with multiple issues.
• Hard wood items were not delivered more around 2 weeks and no update from Home Depot although they have got my Phone number and text can be sent.• Calling to Customer care service is another problem where every time you need to explain to new person pick up phone.
• Also there are instances where Customer care pick up phone and then before I completing just telling this is what date and hanging phone.
• Multiple times go to Home Depot Store and track where my items and what’s expected date.
• Home depot gives commitment for a date and then do not deliver and not notify to customer it’s has been delayed.
• Finally some items delivered and then some not and delivery paper shows it delivered and I have to go back to Home Depot again to track why some items not delivered.
• Installation person came for installation 12/26 and 12/27 and one item missing for installation. This means to take another appointment for installation 01/06/2021.
• Installation done but it cause damage and water leaking from Kitchen floor to Basement area.
• Now another chase started to claim for my property damage and Home Depot provided me contact# and just left issue to customer to deal with claim process.
• Home depot selling items and arranging installation, but how about Damage why not sending someone to look into matters.
Now, I am in process of getting work pending done and get repaired my home damage and claiming that damage value. Is not all these process where Customer at every step following Home Depot rather Home Depot Associates should take care update for each steps as the work proceed. I would personally not recommend to take such pathetic service from Home Depot.

I would highly recommend not buying a big appliance here.
Details: Bought a Samsung washer in Nov with early Dec delivery. Truck came, guy pulled the washer and it was broken (shattered glass). Gave me a doc saying it was broken, and told me I would get a call next day for a new delivery. That never happened. Spent 20min navigating Home Depot line trying to talk to a human. Representative: "We don't have it on stock, do you have a pen to write Samsung number?". Called Samsung, they also don't have it – expected from mid-Jan. It's late Dec, Home Depot (and others) appear to have it on stock – again no phone call. I contacted again, asked for a replacement or refund and... I was asked to call again tomorrow as their system is missing info and they need to contact delivery company. In summary, 30 days, 4 calls, no solution.

On 7/3/2030 we purchased an MSI countertop for a total of $4044.49. The installation date of the countertop was scheduled on 8/19/20 by a company named Cutting Edge Countertops (CEC). A few days later, I noticed that Home Depot installed the wrong countertop. I purchased Stonemark quartz with Calacatta Vicenza with Matte Finish. Instead, they installed Belenco quartz with 6114 Belluno color. Along with ordering the wrong quartz, the countertop had a series of deficiencies such as: website markings, damages, marks, several gaps between the countertop and the wall, and it is not proportional. Home Depot and CEC also did not let me see the slab, inform me of any website markings that are scattered throughout the countertop and that it was from a different manufacturer.
On 9/8/2020 my husband and I went to Home Depot in Bowling Green, Ohio. We spoke to Thomas ** who is the representative that sold us the countertop. He was disrespectful, communicated with hostility, and did not give an effort to try to help my husband and I work out the situation. He also raised his voice at us and said, "you are just stuck with what you have and they can install whatever they want.” We then asked him to call the supervisor. We told the supervisor our concerns with our new countertop and showed him the pictures of the damages. He told us he was going to speak to Pamela **, who is Home Depot’s Customer Order Specialist, and that they would be able to to find a solution to our concerns.
On 9/10/20 I called the supervisor and he told me that he could not give me any information and that I had to call Home Depot customer service. On 9/22/2020 Home Depot sent Justin from CEC to inspect my countertops at 2pm. He called me at 10:51am and told me that he was going to stop by at 11:40am instead. Since I was not available at that time, he told me to reschedule my appointment for another day, preferably in the morning because he said that he was ordered to remove the website markings from the countertops and nothing else. I then called Home Depot and explained to them that they did not install the right countertop and removing the Belenco brand was not going to resolve the problem.
Later I received an email from Home Depot expressing that they were not going to fix my countertop and accused me of refusing Justin from entering my home, which was not true. 9/29/2020 I contact MSI. Their representative told me that the countertop Home Depot installed was not their product and that their countertop did not have Belenco markings. The MSI representative offered to arrange a three-way call with Home Depot so that he can find out what was going on. He called Home Depot and we spoke to Pamela **. She told the MSI representative that she did not know anything about my order and was not allowed to give any information about it. The MSI representative asked her to transfer us to a supervisor who did not answer the phone. I also emailed Belenco quartz and they told me they do not manufacture Calacatta Vicenza matte. Home depot refused to fix my countertop or give me any information.

I ordered a fridge for my disabled mother- her old fridge stopped working. Home Depot promised 1 week delivery. 1 month later it arrived. I ordered the delivery and installation option, since my mom is 84 years old. The company they subcontract for delivery did not care and were very unprofessional, they actually had her in tears. They basically dropped the fridge off, not connected, did not install the fridge door handles (they came off in her hand when she tried to open the door), and my mother cannot use the fridge. She uses a walker to get around her apartment, and cannot even open the door.
I called the Manager at Home Depot to ask that they return to install the fridge properly - I was cut off on the phone 5 times through the course of two days of calls. Spoke to many Home Depot people to explain the situation - finally was promised by the Appliances Supervisor that it would be taken care of. It still has not, well past his promised timeline. No phone call from Home Depot - just no show. When I called to follow up, no one has heard of the problem, and I start over. I had to go through the calling (getting cut off) tracking down a manager, re-explaining, and now I am promised that within a few days someone will show up to finish the installation. The installation company also promised to send a second competent crew, but they have not shown up, and have no record of the problem when I follow up.
Perhaps the managers at Home Depot should write down customer complaints somewhere, and do something about them, instead of putting customers on hold, hanging up on them and then losing the file. Too bad I wasted $1800 on a new fridge that my mother cannot open, after waiting a month with her eating canned food before Christmas. Thanks very much Home Depot. Worst customer service I have ever seen. The Assistant Store Manager is named Manny, and he is now the third manager that I have had to explain this issue to.

We purchased a GE refrigerator and dishwasher and we were keeping our fingers crossed that everything would go as expected. The horror stories we have heard from people waiting over 16 weeks and still not receiving theirs due to COVID. We received the call that it was being delivered after just weeks from ordering. I was excited but we still had to get the flooring completed before we could install. The fridge was fine to put in place but we had to complete the flooring before replacing the old dishwasher with the new one so we just had the delivery people leave it in the box until we were ready. Big mistake!
Our flooring guy had kept cancelling due to this and that so my husband took on the job on installing the flooring. It took him a little longer because he works during the day so only had evenings or weekends to work on it. He completed part one weekend and then the next weekend completed the rest. He then went to install the dishwasher. We are now talking 1 1/2 weeks after receiving the appliances. He pulls the bottom dish drawer out of the dishwasher to get the bag of parts and manual only to find the bottom of the dishwasher was all cracked. It is not even hooked up! It was fresh out of the box! We called the Home Depot number on the paperwork I received with the purchase. Because we didn't call within 48 hours of accepting delivery, they will do nothing. We have to go through the manufacturer for repair through warranty!
This is ridiculous! The manufacturer has to send a technician to assess the repair! Repair! Pay $900 for an appliance that is delivered broken and you cannot return or have replaced. Buy a small ticket item from other stores and you can return, replace with no issues. This is a big ticket item. It should not be that difficult. I will never deal at Home Depot again. And I have always liked my GE equipment but after this experience, I will have to look into other brands. Maybe this is something W5 would be interested in "Policies regarding returns/replacements on broken/defective" appliances.

While their products are good, I urge you not to take Home Depot up on their offer to finance your purchases. They use Citibank for the processing and customer servicing of credit lines and I have only had nightmare experiences with them. Their online payment system has multiple flaws, you often cannot log in to your account, you get caught in endless "change your password" loops, and then no one answers the customer service phone line when you call for help. This makes it impossible to pay your bill.
After three months of not being able to pay, spending (literally) hours each month trying to pay my bill, only to be hit with a $29 late fee each time, I went ahead and got credit from my bank and closed down my Home Depot credit account. I had to write the Home Depot CEO and be assigned to an "Executive Service Team" to even get that far. Citibank was absolutely no help at all and I believe their failure to upgrade their online payment system is intentional in order to generate late fees. Avoid at all costs.

In the past, the curbside pickup has been slow but not like today. This experience was at the Home Depot at Tempe(K) #489 1330 W Baseline Road Tempe, AZ 85283. Over the past week I had submitted several orders to HD totaling around $200. The first HD insensitivity was when I got a phone call from an "associate" to inform me that she had cancelled my order because it was not in stock at her HD. She then informed me that it WAS in stock at several OTHER stores (farther away, of course). I asked if they could simply have the item shipped to their store from another Home Depot? Yes, was the answer but, because she had cancelled my order, she didn't have my payment info so I would have to order it, again, this time from a store that had it in stock, then choose the option to have it shipped to her location.
What?! Why didn't she leave my order be, take the initiative to call another store, and have the item sent over and just fulfil my order? This is the same complaint I have had in most of my negative reviews of businesses. There is less and less customer service and a larger disconnect from the idea that these "associates" don't work for "the company," whatever that may be, they work for ME, the CUSTOMER! Therefore, my time and inconvenience was not her problem. SO...I went online to reorder from another location but there was NO option to ship it to the closer store. There was, however, free shipping to my home which made the transaction palatable... But as far as customer service...yeah, no.
THEN, today I went to pick up my collective orders. I arrived about 15-20 minutes after the curbside pickup opens, giving them time to get organized and ready for their "curbside pickup" day. I parked and used the "I'm here" option in the HD "Your pickup is ready" email to notify them I was at the store in spot #6. Then I waited...and waited...and waited. After 20 minutes I called and the person that answered was unapologetic about my lengthy wait and told me it looked like "they" were getting my order ready at that moment. WHAT?! Why did it take so long? If I received an email that my order was ready for pick-up, why wasn't it sitting at the front, ready for me to pick-up?! Then I waited some more...and more...and more. At 30 minutes, I called again and was told they were on their way out. WHAT?!
Two people came out. One was carrying a larger item and another pushing a cart. The gal that was pushing the cart seemed in no hurry whatsoever. When they arrived at my car, there was no greeting, no apology...nothing that indicated me spending my hard-earned money was of ANY importance to them or their paycheck at Home Depot. Then they left and I discovered one of my orders was missing. So I called...again. The same person I had spoken with before told me the order didn't come out because I hadn't "checked in" for it. The others yes, that one--no. There was no apology for any inconvenience, just a finger pointed at me, the customer, saying it was my fault.
So, AGAIN, not even the IDEA of customer service where they might have all my orders together (since I had spoken to them twice, in the past few days, to let them know the exact day I would be coming in to pick up all my orders) OR doing a search by my name to insure I was completely taken care of. NO! Because I hadn't made it convenient for THEM to sit on their comfy chairs and look at their screen to check my order, they felt no obligation to do ANYTHING for the me. I would NOT recommend HD. I will definitely be referring friends and family to LOWE'S from now on and won't be looking for products at HD unless it's a last resort. Businesses need to return to the customer service model and TRAIN employees on how to make the customer feel valued.

Shed showed up without a roof. Home Depot said I had to call the maker not them. Customer service was very rude acting as if my wife and I were idiots for calling numbers associates of Home Depot gave us to try to get the rest of my shed. We have made two payments on this shed that we cannot use, we are still paying for off-site storage because we cannot use the shed we purchased from Home Depot and the only thing Home Depot has done is give us a 125 dollar discount for inconvenience. I have been buying from Home Depot for the last 35 years and I will never make such a purchase from Home Depot ever again. So to all, take this as a warning.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience remodeling my kitchen with Home Depot. I ordered new kitchen cabinets and countertops in April. It is now November, and I still don't have a functioning kitchen. I thought that since Home Depot was a big company, they could handle the job from start to finish. Instead, they subcontracted out every single portion of it, so no one even seems to know what is going on to give me updates. I should have read these reviews before deciding to remodel my kitchen. I definitely regret going through Home Depot.

I bought a top of the line dishwasher that included free installation. When the installers arrived, they said they couldn't install any dishwasher that is hardwired and I would need to have an electrician convert it to a standard plug. This seemed strange to me as I was required to purchase a hard wire adapter with the dishwasher for an additional $30. They said when that was done to call and they would be back within 1-2 days to finish the install. I paid an electrician to complete the work, but on calling them, they said the next available install appointment was 8 days later.
When they finally returned, they said the electrical work wasn't done correctly and that they could only install top mounts, not side mounts. I would have to have someone install a bracket to the underside of my granite countertops. I finally gave up and just did the install myself, even though I had never installed a dishwasher before. I rewired everything using the provided hardwire adapter I had paid for, attached all of the hoses and such and easily side-mounted the unit. I will never buy an appliance from Home Depot again. I can't afford their "free" installation.

Even though they acknowledged I have been a customer for many years. They stated that it was their policy to ding my credit. I only found out through a 3rd party service, Credit Karma. NOT even HD. Skyview location Home Depot. Always have to wait very long to get help. Been customers for 20 years plus. Just spent a large amount for fence and deck materials. Now Wanted to buy complete Shower unit with three Maax Utile Thunder grey walls, base, 2 corner shelves and Shower doors. Was told had to Order Walls as a kit. Ordered all on Aug 24. Was to be delivered in 10 days but did not receive unit till Sept 28. Had to reschedule our installers and plumber.
Upon installing the walls and thus having our bathroom ripped apart (since we were replacing the lino, toilet, sink vanity, etc) we found out one of the side walls were a totally a different design. And my second corner I ordered separately was not delivered to us. I rushed over to home depot. Spoke to the supervisor Mariam who tried her best assisting without any knowledge of the product. She spoke to her supervisor and to the manager of the store (Kevin) who made no attempt to speak to us.
Needless to say I needed the correct wall right away or within that week as the installers could not wait any longer and I could not get a straight answer. I was told I would get a phone call which kept getting delayed and carried on for that week and was forced to use the wrong wall. Now not only the wrong wall is the wrong design but it is a flat matte grey and not a smooth shiny thunder grey. I am so Angry.
Mariam from Home depot had given us a final choice of either taking the chance of a 2 week delivery of a new wall or getting $100 credit. Which I said was a slap in the face, because I was forced to check the prices online myself and found out I was overcharged by a total of $510 by ordering the Walls as a Kit, compared to buying each piece separately. I was charged $2306.85 for 3 walls 1 base 1 corner shelf. (Online by Maxx —back wall $629, side walls $329x2, base $359, shelf $64.99 + GST = $1796.54.) Difference of $510.31 overcharged. Isn't buying a kit supposed to be cheaper.
After mentioning this to Home depot Then she came back with a $300 credit. Still not even getting what the sidewall costed as a kit price. Now with all the inconvenience and extra labour charges from plumber and installers I expect to be refunded for the wrong wall for my 2nd corner shelf $64.99 that I never received and was paid for as a separate charge and for the amount I was overcharged as a total kit. P.S Mariam did her best to be empathetic to my concerns but it seemed the situation was out of her hands. I feel the manager should have made an attempt to settle this situation by making contact with us and instead they are hoping it's all forgotten about. Order #**. Rodger & Debbie **

Ordered tub online August. Instructed to call prior to delivery. No call, found a neighbor received our tub. Tub arrived damaged in early Sept. Called online cust service twice. Long hold only to be disconnected. Tried calling local store, said I would have to bring tub in??? Drove to store, spoke to assistant mgr. Said no problem and instructed store cust svc to take care of. Noting mgr. said it happens a lot. That tubs arrive damaged. He was cavalier about it. Didn't even question damage. I had pics, he said he didn't need to see. An hour later of waiting, as Cs guy was disconnected twice with someone on phone, he managed to get a "pending" credit when their people would pick up. Instructed to reorder. I did, delivered timely. BUT they said they were not instructed to pick up damaged tub.
One month later or six phone calls later HD assured me tub would get picked up after I finally said, "Enough of this. I want my money." Note I'm still out $900 credit. A contract truck co. calls and wishes to schedule a pickup next day. I advise that not good as I have appt at 1pm with doc. Advised no problem, they will pickup between 8-12. But surprise, they never came. BUT they call at 1:12pm to tell me they are at my house to pickup. Fortunately hubby got to house. Took pictures and had them sign for tub. Now the question is how long till we see a credit.
We will never use Home Depot again for online or in store purchases. Only positive was the many girls we spoke with to get issues resolved were courteous and were majorly apologetic when they placed us on hold in trying to get someone to pick up tub. Problem is they were communicating with people that didn't care. One girl was so frustrated, said she was escalating issue as she could not get contractor to answer phone. Sad as the contracted trucker probably made good money and those girls were min. wage.

It is simply impossible to contact the so-called customer service of HD by any means other than a phone call of which, of course, customers ordinarily do not keep a record. They do not allow an email, deliberately of course. Now HD added another "achievement"--it is now impossible to print the information relating to an item ordered online which must be collected from one of their stores. I imagine that they assume, WRONGLY, that everyone has a cell phone. Hence, I now have to go with my own scribbled information to collect an item for which I had paid and which is supposed to be collected at their store, since their information cannot be printed.
I have witnesses to attest that we tried no less than three times to print the information emailed to me but each time the manner in which it had been emailed was clearly directed only to cell phones and not to ordinary computers and ordinary printers. This is not atypical of corporate America that is doing its best to dictate every aspect of our lives. And this is simply unacceptable. As is the fact that their ample page of "customer service" does not allow for any email, which means that I cannot forward their own email as proof of purchase.

I am beyond disappointed in the company The Home Depot, their customer service, and the all around experience we have had so far! We moved in the beginning of July. On July 3rd we went in to Home Depot Taylor location and Purchased a Stove, Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We paid almost $7000.00. We were told then, because of COVID, we wouldn’t be able to have anything delivered to October 16th. We understand that some things had been backordered, and agreed to the wait. Today I received a text message saying that due to back order, our delivery has changed to January 6th 2021! This is outrageous and unacceptable!
Not only that, but when I call The HomeDepot, and initially I was told I had to call the freight delivery company to find out what was back ordered- So I do that, they tell me they are not sure why Home Depot had me call them, and the only thing back ordered is the Microwave! They canceled my delivery for all of my appliances over a microwave because THEY prefer to only make 1 delivery! Seriously!?! So after multiple calls, redirected over and over, being told that now I have to go in to the store for them to cancel the microwave and rewrite my entire order (WHY!?) - and then they will call delivery and “SEE” if they can deliver all my other appliances on Friday again- this is crazy!!! Now supposedly they are calling corporate tomorrow morning to see what they can do!
Corporate, here’s what you can do- deliver all of my other appliances this Friday, my original date since July 3rd, and refund me the microwave that you are not delivering!!! If you cannot, I will be in for a full refund and I will take my business elsewhere!!! If you are shopping around for appliances, look elsewhere, the Home Depot is not the place to go unless you are ok waiting at least 6 months for something you have already paid in full for!!!

Park City, Utah. This is the WORST Home Depot I have ever been in. First off, there are 5 people who work in customer service, including the manager, Derrick, who was standing back there and NONE of them would answer the telephone. They just let it ring and ring and ring for over an hour and a half without ever answering it. It NEVER stopped ringing. There were long lapses with no customers where the staff were just talking to each other and playing with dogs and the phone continued to ring off the hook.
When I tried to rent the truck, they said someone had it out till 3:30pm and to call back then to see if it had come back. I called for an hour and a half. It just rang and rang and rang until it disconnected us. Why do you tell customers to call you when you know you never answer the phone??? Is it just to get rid of your customers? Well, you're going to get rid of them permanently. I will NEVER EVER purchase anything from any Home Depot again in this lifetime and I will be sure to let all my friends and family of the very shabby way I was treated.
So the truck was supposed to be back at 3:30pm according to the contract. After waiting an hour and a half for the return, which was overdue, I asked Derrick, the manager, if he would call the customer and ask if he had a new estimated return time. Obviously, I know you can't demand a customer return the truck but you can at least ask the customer when he thinks he might return it and let him know that there are other people waiting for it. Could he at least do that? No. He told a staff member to call the customer. The staff member did but didn't ask for an estimated time.
The person with the truck just said, "I'll see what I can do". That's not helpful. The person with the truck also lied and said he didn't pick the truck up till 2pm. We were here at 1pm and he already had the truck out. Another staff verified that yes, he had it out before 1pm. I tracked down the manager and asked if he could assist in reminding the customer that the truck was contracted until 3:30pm. He said no, as he continued to walk past me with the issue unresolved. I work retail. We have to answer the phone before the 3rd ring, even when we are checking out customers.
Letting your customer service phones ring off the hook, especially when you are not busy is totally unacceptable, especially when you have 4 to 5 staff, including the manager, behind the counter the majority of the time. It's been an hour since the person with the truck was called and he still has not bothered to return the truck. No one here seems the least bit concerned that I've been trying to get my carpet home since Wednesday and it is now Friday at 6pm.
Another thing. The store is supposed to have 3 trucks. They have lost the keys for 1 truck. The 2nd truck isn't working but is sitting in there, not getting repaired. So all of Park City and the surrounding area is left to use 1 truck, that the staff refuses to schedule. Is it really that hard to schedule a truck for a 2 or 3 hour block of time or longer if you think you need it? It's not hard. Not hard at all but Home Depot doesn't care about serving its customers. I truly think they don't care about anything at all. Just punching in and punching out. Thanks God for Lowe's and that we have an alternative to this very poorly run store.

I sent an email to the CEO Craig Manear informing him that I purchased a home on March 25, 2020 in St. Peters, MO. The home was in need of fencing as we have two dogs that will be in the backyard. My husband and I went to the Home Depot store in St. Charles, MO, visited the Pro Desk and got everything ordered. During the ordering process we were told the fence, post and cement would be delivered within 7-10 days. We specifically asked if it would be here before Labor Day...of course, it should be here no later than the 3rd was the response from the Pro Desk Rep.
On September 2nd I contacted the store to make sure everything was in order and was told part of the delivery arrived last Saturday and the fence panels would be delivered September 3rd. My husband and I were going to home depot to purchase more items and decided to stop by the desk and schedule the delivery to the house. But to our surprise the fence hadn't been delivered to the store. When we asked why not the CSR said she wasn't sure why it hadn't been delivered. She contacted the vendor, while we were at the desk, was told, and I quote..."We didn't have enough room on the delivery truck, so we decided to ship it with the order next week." She covered the mouth piece of the phone to tell us what she was being told. When I asked what does that mean and when next week would it be delivered, she asked the vendor and they responded they didn't know what day next week.
I asked to speak to a manager and Tom came over. We explained the situation, along with the fact that our dogs were being kenneled until the project was completed. His response was he couldn't do anything because of COVID-19 and delays happen. I'm not sure what COVID had to do with a vendor making a decision to not put an item on a truck...but I guess that's everyone's go to defense when something goes wrong now. He then stated he could call the vendor NEXT TUESDAY the 8th to find out when the next delivery would be. Now today was Wednesday the 3rd, why he couldn't call right then and ask, was beyond me. He also suggested he could refund our money, but it would be 3-5 days before it would be applied to our credit card. It took home depot an additional 8 days to get the fencing delivered to our home and the contractors an additional 7 days before we could get back on their schedule for installing the fence.
Trying to get someone in customer service to understand what an inconvenience the delivery delay had cause was useless. All everyone kept saying was sorry, we understand, sorry...but the apologies were all scripted and insincere. How can you understand when their dogs were not in a kennel for 3 weeks, or their home didn't have holes dug around the perimeter waiting for fencing. Home Depot will never get a penny from me again. I will take my business to Lowes, were they treat their veterans and customers with respect.

I purchased a large outdoor table that was unacceptable due to poor quality materials and workmanship. I tried to settle the issue directly with the manufacturer/vendor, but they proved to be dishonest (their customer service rep attempted a kind of shakedown, suggesting that in order for them to help me I might first change my negative review of their product on the HD website). I then turned to HD Customer Service, and was faced with weeks of phone calls that went nowhere. Every HD rep I spoke with gave me a different answer, and a different excuse for the delays in response. I was told that I could return the table, and could have the item picked up from my home by a trucking company arranged by HD. That trucking company tried to contact us once, and never attempted to call again. For weeks.
One HD rep told me I could phone the trucking company directly, but when I did I found out that you cannot get through to anyone there unless you have a tracking number. After too many phone calls to HD — much time wasted on endless hold — I found out that the trucking company had the wrong address. That was corrected, but still there was no contact about picking up the table. I finally demanded to speak with a supervisor, and the HD agent transferred me to the local HD store. Useless! Phoned HD yet again, and finally got an agent who was intelligent and helpful, and she transferred me to someone in the HD “rescue team.” So now I am on endless hold while he tries to contact the trucking company. I ordered a smart washer and dryer with pedestals that cost ~$2800. I paid in cash and the payment cleared immediately. I had been warned by the store manager that the delivery company was a third party and to check my appliances for damage before the driver left. She informed me that they have received a large number of complaints for damage. That was a red flag and I should have just gone somewhere else to make my purchase. Being an essential worker who has worked 7 days a week for 7 months in public health, I took the day of delivery off. I waited patiently and received a phone call at 3PM notifying me that the delivery would have to be rescheduled.
Needless to say, after a month of waiting for my washer and dryer, I was livid. The delivery company had no alternative but to reschedule delivery which was not an option with my work. I called the 1-800# and after speaking to multiple telephone operators about my dilemma, I was told my only option was to reschedule delivery so I was left with no other option than to cancel my order. To top it off, the operator told me it will take 7-10 days to receive the cash I paid and cleared out of my account within 5 seconds of clicking the Purchase button. Lesson learned. DO NOT ORDER from Home Depot. They have decided that using these 3rd party delivery companies makes financial sense and as long as they keep completing orders, they will continue to use them. I will go to ANY of their competitors who value customer service rather than deal with a company who obviously does not.

Had a fridge installed. The day of install the guys told me they cannot do it because my piping was old and needs replaced... They brought the new fridge in the house and put it in my dining room. Left my old fridge in the middle of my kitchen (for my 2-year-old to run into) and booked it out of there. I called a plumber. He states the Home Depot guys easily could have installed this... They just clearly didn’t want to be bothered. We did not need new piping. The plumber installed it in about two minutes!
Told me to call Home Depot back and make those guys come get the old fridge! Called and spoke to ten different people... Waited on hold multiple times just to be told the guys are refusing to return and can't come back for another week! Wow! I have never dealt with worse customer service ever! I'm disgusted and will be not doing any business with them going forward! Also! Since the plumber installed and not the Home Depot guys my fridge isn’t level and rolls when you open the door! Home Depot needs to return and level my fridge to prevent rolling but I cannot get anywhere with this company! I literally sat in my kitchen with my two year old and cried after the way I was spoken to and treated by this company! Not to mention I paid for install and haul away that I never got!

Miserable shipping experience. My (50$) package got lost in the UPS system. The only reason I caught this was because I constantly monitored the shipping. For days I attempted to get in contact with Home Depot to fix this - all their phones led to a computer, not a person. They do not have an email or Fax #. I attempted to contact them via Facebook messenger, and the two associates were very unhelpful. They basically pinned the fault on UPS and said they couldn't do anything on their end. Finally I ended up calling the local Home Depot store just so I could talk to an actual person! She was unable to reach UPS and we are now trying to contact the direct supplier (no answer yet).
It's been almost 10 days since my package was supposed to get here, and the only reason anything is moving forward is because I've been calling every number imaginable. Communication is terrible. I couldn't even find a place to write a review on the Home Depot website! I'm mentally preparing myself to just lose $50.00. So disappointed.

We have consistently been the ones to call both groups. As of September 14, 2020, our washer still not repaired or replaced. Can you imagine living without a washing machine for a month and a half? After 7 weeks We'd call to see if they were in and it seemed like we were putting her out to talk to us. Didn't care whatsoever about us. Finally after 14 weeks the cabinets come in. Missing the pantry of course. Today we take the cabinets out of the box to finally put them up and she ordered the wrong cabinets. We can't tell you how disgusting we are with Home Depot right now. And to top it off the cabinets we received are instock cabinets so if we decide to keep them we could have pulled them right off the shelf and not waited 14 weeks. We are living in the basement of this house and have no kitchen so we'll most likely have to keep them. All I can say is that it better be at a unbelievable discounted price. I'm waiting to hear.

If there is any chance the item you want to buy will not work for you (not the right fit, size, or defective), then I want to warn you not to buy the item from Home Depot. We purchased some items that were either not the right size or were defective, and they would not allow a return on the items less than a week later, because we had purchased them with store credit. We spoke with a manager, but their returns are controlled by a third party so the managers have no control and can do nothing for you. On top of that, most people working there don't even know how to help with the merchandise, nor do they try most of the time. Therefore, I wanted to share our experience to help save others from the hassles of Home Depot. You will not find these issues with Lowe's, Ace, or local hardware stores so please shop these merchants who really know how to treat the customer. This is exactly what we will be doing going forward.

I ordered some stainless steel staples online at Home Depot. It said the store closest to my house had very limited supply so I ordered from a store further away. They called me and said they were also out and cancelled my order. They then want me to go to that store to get a refund since I used a gift card. I went to store close to my house to get refund and they said they couldn't do it.
Are you kidding me! I used a gift card and you want to give me a store credit so that I can not use the money online like I originally could. You can't send me my refund and want me to come to you. I go to a location close and you say to go to the further location that I only used because it supposedly had in stock and did not. You want me to spend hours trying to get my $ back because you did not have correct item counts and if I hassle with getting my refund it will not be allowed to be used online like my original payment. This is the second time Home Depot has really pissed me off being really stupid and inconsiderate.
The last time they had a item marked down and the sign clearly showed what was marked down and they claimed it was for 1/2 the item and I showed them that the mark down price was more than the 1/2 item cost separate but they insisted after I went home to get truck and came back to buy. I even got the store manager and even though she was smart enough to understand what I showed her and understood the trouble I went to go get truck and come back she pretty much told me too bad.

Senior person finally showed up, and answered a couple questions and told us we would get 10% off with Military discount if the freezer was not on sale. It was not. We filled out credit app and was approved for 5000.00 right then and there. Our newbie was frustrated with computer and said a few choice swear words. Finally go through and set up delivery date. The associate scanned the military discount bar, which was on the register/computer screen in the large appliance dept. It was giving a 2.50 discount. The item purchased was 799.00. I stated that something was not right? Here comes guy #3. He proceeds to tell us there is no military discount on appliances. Huh? Supervisor guy, who is not around, told us earlier it was on our purchase.
Guy #3, then said if my husband was drafted into the military, he would give us the discount. My husband did 21 active duty years and no he was not drafted, we are not that old! Then, "I am sorry, that is all I can do", from bossy guy #3. He then got snarky with my husband. New guy states "If that is the rules, it is the rule". I cancelled our purchase and decided that Home Depot did not deserve our business. We ran into Supervisor leaving the dept that told us earlier that we were entitled to the discount. We were upset and stunned. He made a comment "Gee, I just gave someone a military discount on their purchase the other day, maybe a computer glitch". Well we went across the street to Lowe's, spent over 1000.00 and ordered a freezer. Lowe's always respects the military and much more accommodating and respectful of their customers.
We came home, called the credit card issuer and cancelled our new card. We will never go into a Home Depot and give them another dime. It was a horrible experience and wasted over an hour of our time. Guy #3 was so confident, he stated his name and noted to me to be sure to give customer complaints his name, as he is a senior associate, and he is well aware of the rules (Who makes a rule that you only give a military discount to drafted servers?" I will follow up with the customer service with Home Depot and make sure we share our story with our military vet cohorts.

Home Depot - "We are here to help!!" I purchased a delivery of a refrigerator for $79 from the online store. The company HD hired called me a 6:00am saying they were on the way. This is not acceptable since I couldn't bring the refrigerator upstairs and certainly couldn't handle it on my own. I had to ask for help and wait in the street until they arrived. Home Depot never said anything like the appliances were going to be left in the street. I wonder what Home Depot does when there are many appliances delivered. I called the store manager Juan and he said he would call me after 1pm. It is 10:11pm now and not a call from anyone at HD. This is not like the Home Depot first class customer service I am used to!! A few years ago we hired Home Depot for a number of projects around the home. To be fair, most of them are top notch results, but for the siding department, it seems that they get bonuses based on the number of attachment points they refuse to use. Our siding looks like garbage and has been flipped up over the roof for over a month now. The warranty department is unresponsive, and we have been unable to get ahold of anyone. Naturally we are filling out as many Consumer Affairs/BBB complaints as possible, and reaching out to our state department consumer divisions as well. Home depot might be great, but never lose track of your handyman's phone number, he or she is more dependable.

The item was listed as in stock and the offer was made to ship to home for free. When I called customer service I was told “this happens a lot” where 1 item how’s to one location and another goes elsewhere. Calling Home Depot Customer Service is a big joke. I was having issues with placing an order online and wanting to cancel due to the fact that they place the charge on my Home Depot card before either of my items shipped. I placed the order on 8/31 and ordered a Refrigerator and a Storm door for my new home. The Refrigerator was schedule to be delivered on 10/5 with notes that there could of possibly of being delayed. The storm door is scheduled to be delivered to the store on 10/22 with notes that there could of possibly of being delayed. In both cases I could end up paying interest and having to make a payment before I received either item. I have ordered lots of items online and I never had any companies charge me until the items shipped. This did not set well with me and I had concerns about the timing of everything and needing to make a payment before I received what I ordered.
I decided to call the credit services and they told that is how it worked and there was nothing they could do. I said that I wanted to cancel my order and they transfer me to another department. I do not know if it was Customer Service or not as the agent did not say. Anyhow I was able cancel the Refrigerator but was told that I could not cancel the Storm door until it was received at the store. I was very confused why I had to wait until the store received it to cancel and concerned because I might have to make a payment on my card before it was shipped. I kept expressing my concerns about this, but I did not get anywhere. After a couple of days and looking and my Home Depot online account again and once again noticing that the ship date for the Storm door was 10/22 and still concern about the timing and the possibly of having to make a payment on an item that I am trying to cancel.
I decided to call Customer Service and I got ahold of a very pleasant agent, that told me she understood and would look into my problem and explain that the charges on my Home Depot card where in a pending status. I decide to login and take another look while I was online with the agent and I told her I did not see pending anywhere on the screen, but she assured me that it was. She told me that she understood my problem and ask me to hold while she investigated the problem and put me on hold. I was feeling pretty good that I got ahold of someone that was kind and pleasant and was going to do what it sounded like taking care of my issue. I was on hold for about 10 mins and the next thing I noticed was a dial tone.
I decided to call back and was hoping that the last agent made good notes so that I did not have to go thru my whole issues again. This time a not so pleasant agent answered and with a bad connection and she sounded like she was in a barrel. I complained about the bad connection and right away her attitude was bad and told me that the connect was fine and that she did not see an issue. I could see that I was not going to get anywhere with the bad connection so I went ahead and ask if the last agent had made notes to the accounts and there was not any notes from my last call and had to explain my issues over again. This agent had told me what I was told before and is that there was nothing that could be done. What?
I ask to speak to a supervisor and was told she did not have one. I say that of course you have a supervisor everyone has a supervisor she then told me that she had her own company and that she did not have a supervisor. I once again say that of course you have a supervisor or manager because home depot is paying you to do a job. Her reply was that home depot was not paying her and that a 3rd party was paying her, so she did a supervisor or manager or have anybody telling her how to do her job and that there was nobody that I could talk to other than her. As I continue to reason with her about someone else to talk to, she told me that I could call back to get another agent, but I would get the same answer she was giving me and disconnected the call.
This agent was very rude with a very bad attitude and left me with a very bad taste in my mouth about Home Depot and their online order process and their very bad Customer Service. This is what I have learned is that Customer Service is a joke and they have a system that only protected them with their policy and processors and protected their supervisor and mangers from having to talk on the phone to anybody to resolves issues. Home Depot is far from a company that cares about its customers and cares less if a customer takes their business to another company. Save your time and frustrations don’t call Home Depot to get an issue resolved it will save you time and energy to just shop at another company. They just don’t care.
1) Ordering online should not involve charging a person’s card if that item is not currently available and is on back order. 2) My simple request to be able to cancel an order should be a simple process to do just that and cancel. 3) Calling customer service should be in the favor of the customer and not the company and to be able to get issues resolved.

Buying an appliance? I'm an idiot, I guess. I bought a new LG washing machine at The Home Depot, Southlake, TX on 10 July 2020. Delivery scheduled for 04 August 2020 (delay due to Covid-19, of course). The delivery folks would not remove my old washer from its pedestal nor install the new washer on the old pedestal. The Southlake store says they told me this was the case when I bought the new machine. I guess I'm stupid, and so is my wife. We do not remember being told this, and it seems if I were told this, I probably would have done something about it at the time of purchase. Now, I've got a new washer on the floor and I've got to figure out how to get my existing pedestal underneath it.
Make sure, dear consumer, that when purchasing an appliance at The Home Depot that things like this are clear and you understand what's going to happen at delivery before you buy your appliance. If you don't, you're going to be stuck with resolving the problem yourself. You'll get no reasonable resolution from your friendly Home Depot folks.

Out of all of the things I've bought from Home Depot, the first time of trying to file a claim on an item that no longer works, was a very, frustrating, and one of my worst experiences dealing with a company. I tried to file a claim for a generator (won't start anymore) and uploaded my receipt THREE times. Talked to several representatives 08/03/2020 and nobody acted like they wanted to help or work. All I received was "we can't see your receipt". I told them I uploaded it 3 times. They then told me that I would need to speak to someone in the Claims Department so they transferred me. Spoke to a guy in the department on 08/04/2020, same sorry outcome.
First he tried to tell me that I didn't purchase a warranty until he looked at the receipt. So I asked him, how is it that you can see the receipt and the other 3 reps that I spoke with couldn't? He told me that they are able to see the receipts all they have to do is enter in the information. He looked into it further and came back to tell me that my warranty ran out. I told him no it did not, I've already checked everything, that's why I'm trying to file a claim. He argued me down as if they didn't want to honor their warranty.
So I told him that if you guys don't want to honor your warranty then you should just say so. I'm tired of being sent it circles and landing nowhere. It appears nobody wanted to help me with my claim and passed me on to the next person. I guess I'll be seeing more of Lowe's than Home Depot. They're glad to take your money but don't want to honor their warranty. I see them totally different now and will relay this information to my family members who also shop there a lot. The generator has a 3 year warranty (which I bought on March 4, 2017) on it and also purchased and additional 2 year protection play with Home Depot which kicked in after the manufacturer warranty ran out. Therefore, I'm still covered until March 4, 2022.

I ordered closet kits from Home Depot which were to be delivered in 30 days. The next day I canceled the order and Home Depot delivered the order anyway and left at the curb. Curb weight was nearly 500 lbs and there was no way for me to move the order - so it sits outside my home unattended. The HD policy is 45 minutes to cancel online orders. I always trusted Home Depot to be equitable but their handling of this matter is a disgrace. I am still trying to get them to pick up and return merchandise which has cost me over 2 hours today. What a mess. What a disappointment Home Depot.

We have been shopping at Home Depot for a long time and there was a time that at least had a very decent customer service via the 800 number but that has gone down. Both store and online have a very poor support. Here is one incident: On 3/16/2018, I purchased a self-propelled EGO lawn mower with HD extended warranty. Around 5/1/2020, I started calling & emailing EGO customer service. EGO would not respond to emails & calls would get disconnected after an hour to hour-30-min hold (or many times hang up quickly saying agents are all busy & to call back later). I would keep opening new case on EGO website & EGO would keep closing them down without talking to me.
Next, I took the mower to HD repair center & was told that HD can't do anything until EGO's manufacturer warranty is over (which is 5 years from date of purchase). I also went to front of store customer service and was told that they would help me or even replace the mower if I bought the mower from the store which I purchased online and picked-up from this store. I kept calling HD 800 customer service & kept asking for help & finally got EGO rep to call me (easily a month and half after mower issue started) on 6/5/2020. EGO told me to take the mower to local HD repair (which I did earlier) and tell them EGO said that HD is my repair center for EGO warranty.
On 6/13/20, we took the mower back to HD repair center and left it there (one of staff tried to convince us to take mower home and come back in a week & we refused.. Same staff who told us the first time that HD does not repair EGO mowers until manufacturer warranty was over). After a few inquiries (we never got a call from HD) we found out that HD sent the mower to another location for repair. A few weeks ago, we went to repair center and was told that the mower is fixed and in transit.
Today, 8/1/20, we still don't have the mower & after many calls to HD, we were told that in transit can take 30 days... What a mess.. In a meanwhile, we went back to HD and bought another mower so that we can cut grass and in case in future we have to go thru this mess again. In contrast, we recently had an issue with HD's largest competitor who has the best customer service (our 2 years old fridge had a freezer issue & since support center could not get to us within a few month, we were given full credit to purchase another unit in store or online).

I called Home Depot 800 number to return an online order during Covid. I spoke to Tenisha on the morning of Sunday, August 1st. She asked the order info, name and email but clearly had to ask the same question twice because she seems new. I asked if I could just do a customer drop off to a UPS store since it's two blocks away and you can just leave packages there and walk out since I have an auto-immune disease and don't want to risk in a pandemic. She said she was going to send a UPS carrier pick-up. Corrected her and said I'd prefer a UPS drop-off. She said she'd need 2 minutes which she said the carrier pickup is no longer an option and that only an in-person return at Home Depot is the only way to return this. I mentioned I don't want to stand-in line and wait in a crowded store in a weekend. She said, "Life's hard."
I asked to speak to another team member, Jo-Ann, a few minutes later shocked at what the agent said. She read the notes and I said I didn't want to go into a Home Depot store in a pandemic due to an auto-immune issue and rising cases in my city but she said she has to follow policy. I said, "Your website clearly states "In order to limit store traffic, we ask that customers refrain from making in-store returns at this time."" She says, it's out of her hands. There is a massive disconnect between the level of training of Home Depot's customer service agents who clearly are advocating going into stores and risking potential infection and their stated "policy" online. Apparently, Home Depot wants doers to get more things done like get Covid.

Yes, I did receive my order from Home Depot online which was delayed twice with no explanation for starters. However I will never order from Home Depot again. The box that I received was open (and I mean wide open!), had holes in it and was just sitting on the front porch. I was actually home when the UPS guy dropped off the box and when I say he dropped it off he literally dropped it on the ground in front of the door and I heard it hit the ground. That’s how I knew he was at the door. By the time I got downstairs and open the door he’s already gone outside the gate and was driving away. And the box is just sitting there wide open!
You could also tell that Home Depot did not take any care whatsoever and packaging the product that was inside the box… had it been raining the items inside definitely would have been damaged without question. Allowing a delivery service such as UPS or FedEx to be delivering a box like this to a client's home is completely unacceptable and very disappointing considering this is my first time ordering from Home Depot.

All of my store receipt are available at HomeDepot.com but the service person said they don't have access to this info. Spent almost $300 in the last two week and one of the factors from buying Home Depot instead of the competitor was the 11% rebates. I bought several appliances from them and was told that they had the products in their warehouse. On the day of the scheduled delivery they sent me an email to inform me that the items could not be delivered as scheduled. When I called their customer service number, I had to wait for over an hour to talk to a representative and was told that they do not have any of the items in stock but will have them in two weeks.
I actually went back to the store and waited for over an hour to talk to the store manager, who proceeded to promise me that they will be able to deliver the products on the new delivery date. I trusted him unfortunately and left the store. But again I get a phone call the day before the delivery date to be told that they do not have the fridge I desperately needed but could delivery the other appliance. I went back to the store to complain and all they can tell me is that they do not know when they will have the items in stock and and all they can do is cancel my order. This is after they kept me waiting a month without any of the appliances I needed. No apology, no empathy, no concern. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to send me a bill for products I have yet to receive. Never again Home Depot.

I order a gas stove from Home Depot on July 3. I ask for the stove to be delivered Saturday July 18 and they did deliver however they told me that it’s a two step process. First process is the person deliver the stove and the 2nd process is a 3rd party comes to install the stove and haul away our old stove. It said nowhere on their website that this was a two step process. Customer service said that it was in the email they sent that they notify me of the 2 step process, but I don’t see it anywhere in their email.
So I called Home Depot to asked when the installation person is going to come. They told me 24 hrs. I called back to asked if I can get the number for the person that going to install just in case they don’t show up. The two people I talked to said they don’t have the number. The person even had the nerve to asked “if I had the number what do you think you are going to achieve with the number”. I would have done their job and actually ensure that the installation person would actually be coming in that day.
The person that supposed to come install the oven never showed up on Saturday. I called again and they told me that now it might take 48 hrs for them to come and that they are not going to come on a Sunday because they are off. I called back on Monday morning (7am) and again they said it's going to take 24 hrs for anybody to come out for installation and they put the order number in for the installation. So I called again back at 10am to asked is it possible to get the number for the installation company because they still haven’t shown up. I got the number finally after I been asking from 6 different people who won’t give me a direct number.
I called the installation company (NAL Group) and ask when they will come install the stove. They tell me that they never gotten any order number for my order and told me to call Home Depot. I called Home Depot and is still trying to resolved the problem. So now I have 2 stove sitting in my kitchen that not working since Saturday and I still don’t know when the installation person is going to come. I paid over $300 for the installation to have nothing done. This wouldn’t have happen if Home Depot had informed me of what will happen from the beginning before I purchased the stove and actually gave information when I asked what is happening with the installation and not the same phrase it will be installed within 24 hrs. Which now has been 72 hrs.

Shopping While ** at Home Depot! 1 Star Is Too Much! Today I was racially profiled by an employee named "IRMA." While at Self Checkout I scanned my items and placed them in the plastic bags as I've done so many times in the past! This is not brain science. During this process a large amount of plastic bags were stuck together, therefore, I decided to place the scanner to the side, take off my cloth gloves, and separate the bags. The sole purpose of my actions were to have bags available so that I could finish scanning the 4 items left in my cart and pay with my Debit Card-"As I've always done!"
Here's comes IRMA approaching me from behind. Now you would think IRMA -would say. "Excuse me." "May I assist you?" I would have gladly accepted her support and informed IRMA most of the bags were stuck together. Instead IRMA decided to count my items and stated "You have 3 lights left." I turned around and asked, "Why are you lurking behind me instead of helping me?" "What is your reason for pointing out 3 lights in my cart and not the other item?" (Which obviously wasn't bagged or scanned.)
IRMA stated, "It's my job!" I told her if she was doing her job correctly then she would have notice that the plastic bags needed to be separated for customers before they check out. This would definitely be a great example of providing Quality Customer Service (this should be her job) in addition to possibly having the line move in productive manner. Instead IRMA just stood there with nothing to say as I expected. IRMA appeared speechless as I called out her unjustified behavior. I asked for a Manager. Again, IRMA just stood there like a statue. I asked again. IRMA stated she could not get a Manager because it was her job to stand there. WOW HOW USEFUL IS IRMA!!! She was so ready to watch me, point out how many lights were left in my cart, but could not help with my customer needs!
However, one of the Manager's named "JOE" eventually came over. Only because I loudly asked for a Manager. JOE was completely USELESS! He was so ready to defend IRMA without hearing the Customer-ME! However, he did agree and state, "Yes, it's her job assist with BAGGING in this area." It was evident that JOE did not want to deal with resolution. It was easier to tell me to have a "Good Day." Questions: What is IRMA's understanding of Servicing Customers vs. Profiling Customers? Which Customer's does IRMA decides to SERVICE vs. PROFILE? Does JOE understands how to be an Effective Manager? Is JOE's Team a reflection of his Management Style?
It's obvious there is such a big disconnect between Manager and the Employee! This is a great example of the LESSON that many of us should never be TAUGHT! I should never have to spend my "time" describing a "time" that I was racially profiled While Shopping At Home Depot! ATTN: ALL ** AND BROWN PERSONS BE AWARE IRMA IS WATCHING YOU INSTEAD OF HELPING YOU!

I hired (and paid in advance) Home Depot Interiors to install new countertops in my kitchen and two bathrooms. They came out to my home on February 23. Ever since they had my money they ghosted me, and only responded when I threatened to get an attorney a few months ago. On April 15th they then tried to blame the pandemic but, the ghosting and lack of communication started almost immediately after I paid them back in February, before the pandemic. When I finally got a response, I got all kinds of excuses, like the guy who was handling my job just had a baby and he had "baby brain" (I later found out that his baby was not a newborn), then he went on late paternity leave and then didn't leave any notes in the system so no one knew the status of my job. I was told that they would be in touch me and keep me informed. I didn't hear anything so on May 28th I reached out.
On May 29th I was told I would get a call, which I never got so I called and was told that the countertops would be installed on June 22nd. On June first I got a call from the installers asking what kind of sink I had ordered. I was not sure of the name of it since The Home Depot was supposed to be handling all of this. The installer said that THD did not give them any information on the sink, and that they would have to reach out to them. Before we hung up I asked the installer to confirm the June 22nd installation date. The installer told me that he does not know where THD got the June 22nd date from because they never told them a date. The installer told me that it would most likely be the week of June 15th - 19th, and that they would call me the week before to give me the specific date.
The installer said that I needed my bathroom vanity mirrors removed before the installers come because they can't install the countertops if the mirrors are still there. The week before the 15th I reached out to the installer numerous times to find out if they would be coming the week of the 15th. Each time I was on hold for about 45 minutes, and when I spoke to someone they told me they would have to find out and call me back. No one would ever call me back. I spoke to three different people that week, and never got a return phone call. I didn't know whether to get my vanity mirrors removed or not but I didn't want them to call at the last minute to say they were coming and then not be able to install the countertops because I hadn't gotten the mirrors removed, so I hired a handyman to remove the mirrors. I received no return call from them so was then living without mirrors in my bathrooms.
On June 19th I got a call saying they would install the new countertops on the 25th. On the 25th they showed up and took out my old countertops. I had ordered eased edges (very square). I had also ordered one quartz for the kitchen and a different quartz for the two bathrooms. They came in with the bathroom countertops and it was not the quartz I had ordered and paid for. I called THD and they said to have them install them since they had already taken out my old ones and I will have the choice of getting them out there again to do it right or I will be compensated $700-1000. Then when they brought in the kitchen countertops the countertops were very rounded and not eased like I had ordered. The round edges stick out very far over the end of my drawers. Also, the four inch strip that went under my bar area/behind my sink was supposed to stop at the end of the bar but they took it all the way to the wall so it looks weird.
I called THD again and they said I could either be compensated $500 or they could re-do it and to let them install. The installers left my house a mess, left trash boxes and trash all over the place. My refrigerator was covered in a white powder. They left water sitting on the floor of my cabinets where they disconnected the pipes and used a decorative towel that was a gift to wipe something and it was all stained and soaked from sitting under my sink in a puddle of water. I told THD I don't want them in my house again and I just wanted the compensation. I got a call from someone one at THD (I wish I had written down his name) on Wednesday July 1st who told me he would call me the next day with the exact amount of compensation. I never heard from him again. I then texted the guy I had been speaking with and he texted back that they would give me $1000 for all of the mistakes. I told him, that was less than I was originally told.
I was originally told %500 for the kitchen (which I accepted) and $700-1000 for the bathrooms. I told him I at least want the minimum of what I was originally quoted. The guy that I had been speaking with said that he is relaying my information to "Russ" and that Russ will be calling me. Russ never did. I called him but he didn't answer and didn't return my call. The guy I had been speaking to apologized and said all he can do is forward my message. I then asked the guy I had been speaking who Russ's manager was, and he never responded. So now I have been totally ghosted by Home Depot Interiors. My countertops are wrong and they will not compensate me for the incorrect and shoddy work.

I went to the store and there were special parking spots for me to park. I texted the number on the sign and entered my car model and color and they brought my items right out. A few of the items were large. They put it right in my trunk for me. I was very satisfied with the service.

Well the heads are rounded! What the heck. They're not supposed to be rounded. I never thought to look inside the little plastic bag. Rounded hex heads! So I used them, but every time I tried to tighten hard, the socket twisted off because the heads are rounded. You must be kidding. I've checked this same item at Lowes and Menards. I ordered a $1200 bathroom vanity on 5/7/20 with a delivery date of mid May. Here we are 7/13/20, no vanity. During this time I have made numerous calls to Home Depot who blamed it on the logistics company and ultimately had me cancel and reorder the product which I did with yet another 2 week ETA for delivery. Over a month later, still nothing. Now it's the blame game. The logistics company says they have the cabinet and are waiting for another item.
I ONLY ORDERED ONE ITEM. So now they're saying it comes in 2 pieces but they don't know where the second piece is. The standard response is, "You'll know something in 24-48 hours." NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME TO ORDER IT AGAIN! NO WAY IN THE WORLD AM I DOING THAT. They cannot offer any solutions. UNACCEPTABLE. Home Depot is quick to charge your card for large items but all correspondence to you regarding delivery dates is inaccurate. I understand shipping delays but 2 months??? Please note this is an in stock item not a custom item. I have verified this directly with Home Depot.

Should Home Depot have called two weeks ago to explain there would be a delay? Poor communication, poor customer service, poor best practices in place.
