Miserable experience with the East Ft. Lauderdale store. My order deliver... almost 1/2 of the packages were damaged. The store left a broken down pallet on my driveway... repeated calls to the 800 number and store with no results. One employee gave me a fake name "Mary"... When I called back trying to reach the manager (McKinnie?) I ended up talking to someone in HR who said "no one here by that name". Tried again to reach McKinnie and they would not put my call through. Left a message for her which was not returned. Had to pay $50 to have the pallet removed. I've filed a complaint with BBB for the store and for now on it's... LOWE'S.

Be very aware when accepting deliveries from Home Depot. I had a washing machine delivered June 2; I’m to do installation, so I asked the delivery crew to wheel it into the carport. I was curious why they were particular about turning it around after they got it into the space, but they were chatting away with me so I was distracted. I was curious too that they took photos from the back of the machine and hurried away without asking me to sign a confirmation of delivery. Later I realized, that they figured I’d do a walk around inspection of the machine before signing (I would have). Once they were gone, I found a forklift gouge on the side turned away from the light, and I found a dent in the front panel, which was also angled away from the light. I was tempted then to call HD and return the machine. But I chose to keep it figuring I was paying for being gullible enough to let them distract me long enough to get away.

What really pissed me off though is that when I checked the delivery tracking the next morning, there was a FORGED signature on the proof of delivery. The forgery was a step too far for me. So today I tried to contact Customer Service by phone, but I was encouraged to send a text, which I did, but was told they were not customer service but were “Online Chat” and I should call the “Customer Service” number. Which I did, but again I was prompted to text the information, then I saw it was looping me back into the same “chat” with the same assistant who snarkily deflected my original attempt.

It was clear I was stuck in a loop. So obviously “Customer Service” is very elusive or nonexistent at HD, and that is why the delivery guys knew they could get away with their distraction ploy and with the forged signature. Just saying, be aware that there is no accountability for this type of fraud at HD, so do a thorough inspection before the delivery crew slips away and forges your signature. Or better yet consider another source for appliances. I certainly will.

If I could give a lower score, I would. I purchased (online) a GE washer/dryer stackable combo ($1691)which was delivered on 6/6/24. On 6/20/24, the dryer stopped working. It runs but there is no heat. To make matters worse: the washer stopped working on 6/25/224. When I originally called about the dryer not working, I was offered a service repair for 11 days out. That was unacceptable for me. Since I said it was unacceptable and stood my ground, no matter what they said, I was deemed as "rude" by customer service. When it is unacceptable to me, them repeating themselves over and over does not change my mind. I stood my ground. I was hung up on. I was called rude.

My request that Home Depot advocate for me since I purchased from Home Depot was refused. I requested to speak to a manager which was refused. I was told a manager would call me back in 48 hours which did not happen. A ticket was put in for the unit to be replaced which was also refused. This morning, I was told that a manager will not be calling me because I am rude. I was told the ticket to have the replaced was cancelled because I was rude. I was told that I will not be getting a refund because I was rude. First of all, I was not rude, I stood my ground. Secondly, business is business and business will be conducted whether a party involved is rude or not.

I have requested transcripts of calls so that management can hear how customers are being treated while deeming the customers as rude. No one has assisted with that. In the end, I now understand that Home Depot will take your money, deliver defective items, and not assist in having it replaced. More time was spent discussing the fact that I am rude than was spent actually trying to help me. Hello....I was sold defective product!!! I want my money back!!! I will not accept having a washer/dryer combo repaired in less than 30 days of delivery. I want it replaced or my money refunded. Is there anyone at Home Depot who cares about the customers??? If so, please help me!!

They are not customer friendly any longer. I purchased a zero turn Ryobi & bagger for 4k, it was missing the latch to hold the battery lid down. It stayed piped up and got in the way. I contacted the store who shipped it to me and they said, "Bring the mower back and we will replace it when we get another one"! (When would that be?) And when I made that purchase on a mailed out promotion for 0 interest or 15% discount the store employee had no idea how to apply the discount or 0 interest at the time of sale. I did get the 0 interest after 40 min. on hold from customer service.

I ended up dealing with Ryobi who were awesome and they sent me the push in latch that was missing. I then purchased 400 dollars of rock board and asked for the 10% discount on sales over 299 and was told the same thing. They didn’t know how to apply it at the time of sale. Call CS. We called CS and the rude jerk said basically tough luck. It had to be done at the time of purchase. I wished I never had purchased 4500.00 worth of products from such ugly people. It won’t happen again. If I can’t buy it elsewhere I just don’t need it!

Never, Never participate in a promotional plan. Left hand does not know what right is doing. Customer service (promotional department) - Lesandro promised that my large payment would post against the promotional balance, after a 45-minute call with most of it on hold. Then I do not see the credit as promised and discover that they did not make the credit as promised. I would have been back-charged interest if I had not check it. Spoke with a manager - Mary overseas of course and all they do is state a scripted response and offer no assistance. Just the person was wrong. Also - don't use their in house installs for windows/doors. I went in, received a quote for a sliding door and then paid the $40 fee to have someone come to my house to measure. They used an outside 3rd party and that was a nightmare.

When I went back in to schedule it, they somehow, within the 3 week period, lost my quote and all of a sudden, the door was $1200 more. They could not explain what happened and did not appear to concerned regarding how upset I was. I spoke with Page the manager and there was nothing she offered to do regarding the issue. Not even credit back the $40 fee. Why would they not save the quote when I was getting the measurements done? They cannot be trusted. This continued display of lack of professionalism is disappointing.

The delivery company was extremely rude to my elderly father, dropped the box in the middle of his driveway. He tried to explain to them that they were supposed to place it in his garage, even showed them the delivery instructions, and they told him to just ask for some money off and left. It was supposed to be delivered across the doorway or threshold. I called Home Depot customer service to see if the delivery guys could come back and fix it, I was told they “submitted a ticket” and it was escalated to the highest level and not to call back for 24-48 hours, because there is nothing they can do until then. Huge problem with this is that they trapped my dad’s car in the driveway when they left it in the middle of it, and prevented some critical water work from being completed and now my elderly parents are without water or a car and there is nothing more customer service can do about it.

The supervisor at customer service was absolutely terrible!! He was rude and talked over me the entire time, cut me off, and kept saying we just have to wait. The supervisor was no help at all and kept saying he was the only one who could help, there was no one above him and no way for me to talk to a different supervisor who would listen. After spending close to two hours total on the phone between the two phone calls he told me to call around and get estimates for a moving company to come move the tool box, and that they would look at reimbursement, but it wasn’t a guarantee. Why is that not something Home Depot could do to fix this situation?? Now I have to pay for an Uber to take them to a hotel so they have somewhere with running water, and a moving company out of pocket on top of the $1,500 tool box! All because Home Depot didn’t deliver the massive tool box (over 600lbs) correctly like they promised.

The local store outsourced contractor recommendation to an outside contractor to do garner maximum profit in a way that distances them from responsibility for the results. Any sales must pay off the store, Home Depot Corporate, the recommending vendor, and the contractor. The actual cost of material and labor is dwarfed by the overhead of providing a profit to so many companies not involved in the work. No one in this string of businesses can be held responsible for the quality and overall high costs.

Also, the store in North Houston on northwest freeway inn 77037 has unpriced merchandise displays, disappearing employees with a non-functional paging system to call them back, and a store manager that doesn't have a clue what is going on in his store. Too busy cutting costs to get a bonus to care about customers.

Everyone is always so helpful, friendly and courteous especially compared to the other home improvement store here. I always find what I need and products are so much better. I have bought plants in the Garden Center and happy with them; the only thing I would say is I wish they would have clearance plants instead of throwing them away. I would definitely buy them. Transaction date: 5/29/2024. Home Depot store location: Dearborn Hts, Mi 48125, Amount paid; $1,057.88 for a stainless steel top 15-drawer work bench. SKU#1003399495 transaction#** 05/29/2024 3370. The item was in stock, I made a cash purchase and told sales I didn't have the means to get the bench home and asked to set it aside, and I'd be back Friday afternoon or early Saturday to pick it up (Noted on the receipt).

I arrived early Saturday morning only to find out they had sold the bench I had purchased earlier. After days and hours on the phone, I was called and told that, because of my inconvenience, they would ship the work bench to my home and that the delivery would be between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. the next day. I was okay with that, so I scheduled a day off work to receive the shipment. I then got a phone call at 7:30 the night before the delivery and was told that they didn't have the work bench and they'd give me my money back. My complaint is: I feel Home Depot sold property that belonged to me, and they owe me for the item, and all of the time and lost wages spent trying to correct their mistake.

Only an email. I contacted the store requesting to speak to the supervisor Jim and asking to leave my phone number so he can contact me. I know Jim handles quite a bit in the store and yet they refused giving the phone to Malcolm, who then says he will have the delivery to me on Saturday, 1 June on Friday to confirm that The delivery will be made on that Saturday.

The person in the delivery department states that it will be on Saturday by 3:45 PM and after waiting home all day and then calling Home Depot at 4:30 P.m. I Was told It has been rescheduled for the sixth. I at that point 'm furious. Malcolm gets on the phone and tells me that they were very busy and they didn’t have time to bring me my barbecue. I have ordered via Home Depot online 2 major appliances (LG Washer and Dryer) on May 26, 2024 during the Memorial Day Savings event. These appliances were advertised to have an estimated delivery date on May 29, 2024, which was the major factor for me to decide to go with Home Depot, compared to Best Buy and Costco. As instructed, we were supposed to get a call/text 24 hours prior to the delivery date to confirm the delivery window timeframe. We have gotten a text on May 28, at 8:17 PM indicating that the delivery was being rescheduled and that the manufacturer will be contacting us within the next 48 hours. With very little information provided, I called Home Depot customer service minutes after we received the text. This was when my level of anger and frustration elevated.

First, I was transferred several times to the different agents before I got transferred to the Resolutions dept for escalation. Once I talked with the Resolutions dept (Sierra), she indicated that she couldn't check anything else including with the appliance manufacturer to confirm if they could deliver on the May 29th delivery because all the business were all closed. That made sense and therefore, she said that she would just reschedule the delivery date to May 30th and promised a markdown once we receive the appliances. She said that she would monitor this issue and worked on this the next day (May 29th).

Early morning of May 29th, I received an email indicating that the delivery was updated and now rescheduled to Jun 5th (7-8 days from the initial delivery date!!). At this point, I am stuck with a delayed delivery date. In a nutshell, Home Depot does not stand to their commitment. They overpromised but under delivered. I would have been better off going to Costco or Best Buy with their resolute delivery on time commitment, had I not been lured to the lower price (but not significantly far from each other) and earlier delivery date.

Today, I recently had an unsettling experience with Home Depot Credit Services that I feel compelled to share. Despite diligently making payments throughout the past year, I was shocked to discover that these payments had yet to be allocated towards my promotional items. Here's a breakdown of my grievances: After my review and phone call with Credit Services Management, here is what I gathered, and in my opinion, is the prioritization of the bottom line deception to consumers.

Payment Allocation: According to management personnel, all payments are directed towards higher-interest items first. This means that even though I made regular payments, none of it went towards my promotional items from what was reviewed. Manual Allocation Requirement: Adding insult to injury, I learned from this management person that customers must manually specify where their payments should go during each billing cycle. This lack of automatic allocation is burdensome and easily overlooked. Logging into the portal, I saw no visible option to make such a selection.

Expired Promotional Items: As a result of this payment allocation system, my promotional items are expiring in 3 days without being paid off. Despite my frustration, Home Depot Credit Services refused to extend the expiration dates, suggesting that I have to wait until the promotion expires, which is a ploy to capitalize on higher fees in my opinion.

False Promises: Management suggested I could call in after expiration to " see if they can potentially extend the promotional period". However, this backtracks on their initial stance only adds to the confusion and frustration. Fine Print Confusion: While management argued that this information was clearly stated in the fine print of the application, it's unreasonable to expect customers to remember such details months later. This lack of openness only serves to benefit the company at the cost of its customers.

Final Decision: Feeling deceived and manipulated, I promptly closed my account. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and disillusioned with Home Depot Credit Services. To me, their practices prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. In conclusion, Home Depot is effectively exploiting customers' lack of awareness and comprehension of its policies through its credit services. This deceitful approach erodes trust and tarnishes the company's reputation. I think about all the older people to whom sales representatives sell these promotions. I urge others to exercise caution when engaging with their credit services, as they prioritize their bottom line at the expense of customer trust and satisfaction.

    Signed, one disappointed human!

I've been trying to purchase two gift cards online for new homeowners, related to an estate sale in the family. After my purchase was decline 4 times with a zero balance credit card I finally called home depot. I was told I would need to go to the store to buy gift cards. I am so disappointed, and dismayed.

How can home depot have an online presence and yet as a multi year credit card holder at home Depot I'm not able to buy a gift card. It's my account and I provided my credentials to the representative as well. I can buy gift cards at lowe's and Amazon, but not home depot. I felt I had no choice, if I can't shop online like we can at every other store, why have an account. I closed my $20,000 dollar credit account effective immediately. I'm voting with my money. Had I wanted to shop in store I would have done that, but I wanted to send e gift cards as they are for people in another state. It saves me having to mail the cards and allows quicker free delivery. Home Depot failed and lost a $2000 dollar sale as well.

The credit card department could not resolve the issue so they said they were going to put me on the priority list for resolution. I never heard anything for four days. I called again and again they said they would put me on the resolution list and I should hear something within 72 hours.

I think it's ridiculous, as a customer service perspective, to not allow people to order online, that have store credits. As the employee said today, we can't keep everything in the store. EXACTLY, I understand that because most of my store credit is for a sink I bought for a remodel, that I couldn't wait for because you didn't have it in stock. I was looking for a small part today to repair my lawn mower, you would think that they would keep more items in the stores that they could have a bigger markup on. Instead of having 400 different riding lawn mowers, that they don't make that much percentage of profit off of, compared to the everyday items. You have to scan the back of my driver's license at the store when I use my store credit, why can't you make that an option, if I NEED, something that's only available online.

After ordering a product for delivery that was listed as next day delivery- it had a countdown on the product page (Order in the next 6 hours and 23 minutes for next day delivery…) I received an email the next day that unfortunately the order is delayed. It will “typically be delivered in 5 days”. This was for a product needed urgently hence the next day delivery. I ran to the store and picked one up but cannot cancel the online order. There is no ETA, the product has not shipped. Order status says “processing” and according to customer nonservice, after 45 minutes the order cannot be cancelled. The options they provided are: refuse delivery (not an option as I won’t be home), return the item to a store after it arrives (now I have to haul the item back to the store? at an unknown ETA?), or ship the item back.

I have reached out to customer service repeatedly for cancellation and been told the same “45 minute” story every time. This feels much like a bait and switch with delivery after purchase and the refusal to cancel is inexplicable. The 45 minutes is completely arbitrary. There is no ETA and the item isn’t in transit because they haven’t even shipped it. Home Depot has created extra work for the consumer that is beyond frustrating. It makes me wonder how many people buy a product because of the “delivery date” only to be told it is delayed on delivery day. This has happened multiple times and it seems like a deceptive business practice. If they cannot fulfill the order by the delivery listed on the product page then they are knowingly misleading people.

From the moment I started asking questions, his demeanor was rude and condescending, treating me with utter disrespect. It’s appalling to receive such treatment in a store where you’d expect professional guidance and support, especially in a specialized section like tool rental. His attitude was not just unhelpful but made me feel judged and unwelcome.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking tool rental services due to the poor customer service I experienced. It’s crucial that a store fosters a welcoming environment for all customers, providing assistance and expertise rather than judgment and disdain. Unless you’re willing to be disrespected and poorly treated by the sales associates, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your tool rental needs. I was pleased how Sarah helped me in the process.

Also, Sarah and I discussed that I would have someone other than Tyler come to my home, she affirmed that there were other installers that could do the installation. I received a call this morning from Ryan ** asking how he could help me! Unfortunately I was very uninterested in going through the whole process again with an assistant manager that wanted to save the day and be a hero in front of other employees while I was on the phone. He needs to lose his title and not go making problems for others after they have been resolved. I am a business owner and I have wasted more time on this process than necessary.

Purchasing four doors and installation should not be this big of an issue. I feel that Home Depot needs to address the issues internally instead of bringing a customer into business issues. The only thing that Ryan accomplished this morning was upsetting a customer, cancelling a sale, a bad experience with Home Depot, and a negative review on the web. I have a simple resolution for all of this: Cancel my order, refund my credit card and I will do business elsewhere. I have also contacted my credit card to dispute the charges since Ryan hung up on me and would not let me finish my conversation.

Let's face it, tackling a home improvement project is stressful enough. You shouldn't have to dodge a customer service landmine on top of it all. But that's exactly what a trip to Home Depot can feel like. First, brace yourself for the ghost town effect. You'll wander aisles filled with question marks (because employees are mysteriously absent) searching for that specific screw or widget. And when you do find a rare employee, prepare for an unhelpful shrug or a mumbled direction that leads you on a wild goose chase through the labyrinthine store.

If you manage to snag the right product (fingers crossed!), just pray it's not damaged. Reviews are littered with tales of dented appliances, scratched flooring, and lumber that looks like it went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. Apparently, quality control is as rare as a knowledgeable associate at Home Depot. But wait, there's more! The checkout line might be the biggest test of your DIY spirit. Be prepared to strategize your escape route like you're planning a daring heist. Those lines can stretch longer than a roll of unspooled insulation, and the cashiers move slower than paint drying in Siberia.

Here's the kicker: even if you navigate this DIY gauntlet, you might still end up empty-handed. Multiple reviewers mentioned incorrect online inventory, leaving them frustrated after a wasted trip. Look, Home Depot, you can stock your shelves with all the hammers and drills in the world, but that won't build a loyal customer base. You need to seriously invest in staff training, quality control, and a streamlined shopping experience. Because right now, your customers are feeling more lost than a two-headed nail in a haystack.

Couldn't find employees anywhere, finally found one and stopped her and asked for help, she mumbled something and ran of, I was so weirded out, I said, "Wow thanks for the help" sarcastically, then as I was searching helplessly for a drill, several employees WALKED PAST ME without taking one second out of their time to ask, "do you need any help?' or something of the sorts. I was very disappointed, then I finally found some kid hiding in the back and told her I need help, she had a giant attitude but helped me find a drill, then I said I needed bolts, and she said "I'll get someone else to help you find that". I WAS SO FRUSTRATED. I asked why and she said she was on break.

I can't explain how bad I just wanted to leave, but I NEEDED these tools so I waited 10 minutes for this kid to get some other girl, and she spent 30 minutes talking gibberish as I stood there uncomfortable and in the end she handed me screws and I told her that she gave me the wrong thing and she said, "It's the right thing. You're just confused". I was very mad and I gave up so I set the screws down, grabbed my new drill, and headed to the checkout, where 6 people stood In a circle talking about the stupidest thing I could ever think of and not one of them offered to help, so I checked myself out, left, and wrote this review, I have to say this was the worst experiment I have ever had here, but I'm not telling anyone not to come here.

Honestly any other experience I have had her I was satisfied, I don't know why everyone was so lazy today but the time before some guy was so kind and helpful, and he saw I had kids and felt bad for taking too long so after helping me he bought my girls a sucker, and they were very happy, so I really do like this store, but this lazy unhelpful problem I had today better be taken care of.

Now Home Depot says retail equation is deny the return and Home Depot won't release funds saying it's out of the control and the Home Depot credit card citibank will not give a credit back saying Home Depot will not release funds. Citibank lied and said they know furniture went back and we would get a refund but it did not happen. Got a letter saying payment was due in full for over $2000 for something never delivered. In the summer of 2023 we purchased a GE washer/Dryer combo model #GUV27EE when the dryer of our 7 year old GE W/D combo caught fire. (thank goodness we had a fire extinguisher nearby!) The appliance sales person at the Loganville store is wonderful. We have lived in Loganville 30 years and purchased many large appliances with her help before. Without compromising her job position, I think she tried to warn us, but because we have a small laundry room, we liked the w/d combination size, and purchased it and had Home Depot install it. Within a couple weeks we knew we hated it. It is supposed to be energy saving but the water levels are so low, with no way to adjust them, that all our dark clothes were stained by the soap- even though we used the recommended soap type and amount, so we had to wash everything twice- and still couldn't get the white soap stain out.

We went to the store to complain but we were told that in spite of what we read, Home depot does not have a return policy. After going back and forth with GE (with the help of the HD sales rep) we finally gave up, and we can only use the WD on 1 cycle "bulk load". BUT what is worse is that a couple months after purchase, the hose came unhooked because of faulty installation and flooded 2 rooms and lots of items on our first level!

We originally purchased a RYOBI electric lawnmower (40V) in 2021. After about a year, the lawnmower stopped working so we took it back to Home Depot, which is where it was purchased. They took the lawnmower and after approximately three months, we were provided with a replacement. The replacement worked well for another year or so and we were pleased with its performance, but a few months back it stopped working and would not start (batteries were fine, so the problem was with the mower).

We took it back to Home Depot and they indicated they no longer took Ryobi returns, even though they continued to sell the mower. RYOBI indicates that the only way to have the mower serviced/repaired was to either go to the Home Depot in Portland, OR (approximately 250 miles away) or in Victoria, Canada (which is close but requires a ferry ride that is quite expensive). Tried to call customer service, but was placed on hold for over an hour on two occasions, so this was not a good option.

Needless to say, we are disappointed in both the lawnmower(s) and Home Depot. A lawnmower should not simply stop working after a year, particularly given the price. The customer service from RYOBI was slow in the first instance and nonexistent in the second. We will not be buying more RYOBI products and will avoid Home Depot when we can.

I recently purchased a new home in a small town. Because our shopping options are limited I decided to shop on the HD website for items to furnish my new home. It seemed easy enough to be able to return to our local store if an item didn't work out. In three months I spent about $3,700 and ended up returning about $700. Of that $700, $300 worth of merchandise was returned due to Home Depot either sending the wrong items or me not receiving the item at all. My issue started when I called to inquire about an order that I never received. When I called HD, I was told that he would send me an email with a different number to call. When I called that number, I was told that my "return" was denied due to my high number of returns. I told them I was just trying to get my money back on a purchase I never received. They still held firm on calling it a "return".

I was told they would email me my returns report and that I could dispute it through an email and that it would take 2-4 weeks to get a response. I just sent that email off so I will wait to see what their response will be. For some reason I have a feeling they will not give my money back. Also, it would have been nice for them to let me know that they will flag you for your returns. The bottom line is it shouldn't be this difficult for them to correct their error. 1. I ordered a grill for assembled pickup, but (1) Was never informed when it was ready.

    2. (2) There was no record or status of the order on their website when I typed-in the order #.

    3. I picked it up, got it home, and discovered (3) No power cord, (4) No assembly tools that I might need later - to tighten anything loose, etc, (5) Scratches indicating it was a floor model, and (6) No user manuals.

    4. I called, willing to drive 10 miles again to pick up the missing items, and (7) It took about an hour to resolve.

I’m not a difficult person, evident in that I paid for an out-of-its-box item at the new-in-box price, was willing to keep it, and even drive back to pick up the missing items. Trusting Home Depot with this $2,000+ purchase should have gone much smoother. I’m very conflicted about what happened, and wonder if individual customers get treated differently from their professional customers.

1 pm came and went and still no contact and no delivery. I called again and was told it was still coming but just late. My neighbor had to leave to go to work and I was on my own. Home Depot finally showed up at 8 pm and my husband was home from work by this point so Christmas was ruined AND the tool box has several places where it was damaged!!! I did not know until we unwrapped the plastic from it and by this point I had already signed for it and the delivery driver was gone. Home Depot will do nothing about it and now I am stuck with a ruined Christmas and an expensive damaged toolbox. As long as I live and breathe air I will NEVER Shop there again!

Generally speaking, Home Depot has everything you need for remodeling, rebuilding, repairing. Beautiful selection of everything you would ever need. Some professionals don’t like the quality of some things, and I’ve found that some things are special made for HD, and you can’t find replacement parts anywhere else. For all that, you make your own choice. My issue is with the lumber and big stuff. I was buying a lot of lumber for my building project too. Three times straight, I loaded my lumber onto the trolley with my grandson, we snaked our way through the store with our hundreds of pounds of lumber headed to the checkout.

I’m very particular about pricing and quality. I am 100% certain about what shelf I pull my boards off of and the quality. So I get several sheets of OSB and one sheet of plywood along with 12- 2”x6”x 8’ boards, at the check out, they wanted to charge me premium price for #2 board, it was a couple dollars more. The plywood had black paint marks on the edge, indicating the cost and thickness I guess, they wanted several dollars more for it and the OSB was again three dollars more. Discussion with clerk and ended up leaving to go to Lowe’s where everything was priced as shown on the shelf making me a happy customer.

Fast forward four weeks later, loaded 33 deck boards, 16’ long onto two trollies, supposed to be like $13.68 or close each. Pushed both trollies up to the counter, and she insisted they were $20.00 plus each. I told her what was on the shelf, (two shelves with $13.68 per hoard) but she called the lumber guy, who by the way was MIA when I was loading these boards. He swore he watched me climb on to the top shelf and load these off the premium shelf.

Even though I offered to take someone back to that same 13.68 shelf and show them there were still about 15 boards, exactly same UPC there, it was no use. They offered to pull another pallet/bundle in when they gotta chance and then I could unload another 33 boards onto a second set of trollies, push them to the front of the store and repeat this fiasco, but I said no thanks and went to Lowe’s, again where they were priced and purchased for exactly what was on the shelf. Bottom line, if you use Home Depot, take pictures of the prices on the shelf, stick to your guns, but be aware of where the closest Lowe's is located, you should go there first.

I would give zero stars if the review process would let me. I ordered online but the delivery was coming from the Madison office not Florence. The delivery was scheduled from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and was still not delivered. I called the main store in Madison and they hung up on me the first time then when I called back they placed me on hold numerous times. The customer service representative was talking to someone else while placing me on hold over and over again. Then gave me another number and told me they are not responsible for delivery and its another department that handles that does delivery but they sent me to the original online number that directed me to the store that was suppose to take care of the delivery. This is why I never deal with the stores in Madison because they are terrible. I thought the material was coming from Florence like last time. This store in Madison has been and will always be terrible!!

They do not have a process within their company to get a replacement for customers who paid for items, but did not receive them. I have a picture of the damaged box and a note from the FedEx delivery driver. They just mention that I should do a chargeback with my bank. I do not want to do a chargeback with my bank. The purchase was a total of 40 cases of tiles. Well I now have an upcoming repair of the subfloor due to a water leak. Went to purchase 3 additional cases for the job, only to be told they no longer have that style/print of tile any longer nor can I custom order it. Which means that lifetime warranty is a cock and bull story since I can't get even one replacement tile. I'm now faced with the issue of ripping out the entire floor again, spending half of Fort Knox by buying another 40 cases of tiles in order for the flooring to match. What the point of the warranty of any of it, when they decided to drop the style, type, and pattern of tile we bought from them.

In this time of high prices and smart shopping, why would you do that to consumers? I bought $1500 in recent appliances and thought I was being a smart shopper/consumer, but that is not the case. I suggested they make this known to consumers when making purchases and make the print bigger so we know when we buy. Am paying off card today and shredding it. It stole the money from the gift card and then canceled the order from their side. They said they didn't know why and would investigate and return my call. They never did. I spent 2 weeks trying to recoup the money they stole and finally got most of it, not all of it, back. They pocketed the remaining stolen money.

I ordered the vanity for the 3rd time since now I only had Home Depot gift cards, and it arrived broken again. This time I sent it back before the truck could leave. Home Depot still had the money from the emptied gift card from this most recent order. They said they couldn't send it back due to "system issues". I've spent a month and a half trying to order the vanity. I've spent over a week trying to get back my money they stole. When I write Customer Service, they say they're still having "system issues" and close the conversation if I push it. When I call, they say they're still having "system issues" and hang up if I push it.

Between all 4 orders they've cumulatively stolen over $1400, wasted at least 12 full hours on the phone with me, and caused me to miss my construction date, meaning I'll have to hire another contractor to finish the job. At this point, I'm just going to go ahead and say that they're trying to steal the money. They've made 3 claims of investigations and 10 claims of "we'll call you back" and never followed up on a single one. All these claims are backed up by Home Depot itself who doesn't deny them but instead just kept the money and the vanity and keep repeating "system issues" for weeks and I guess assumes they get to keep the money now.

My wife was nice enough and told them that they didn’t have to take the old one back off the truck and reinstall it since they told her it would be a quick turnaround for a new one to be delivered. Well since the installation team disconnected my old dishwasher they never plugged the inlet to the garbage disposal that the dishwasher fed into causing nasty water from the sink I filled to wash my dishes by hand to spew out all over my cabinet and floor. Short Version: Home Depot hires plumbers/electricians as appliance installers and then turns a blind eye when they attempt to commit fraud.

Longer Version: We thought paying for a Home Depot dishwasher with all the bells and whistles (adaptor kit, installation, haul away) that it would be worth the extra money because it would be one-stop-service for a property I own. I thought Home Depot was a big enough business that there would be some quality control. Unfortunately, I was wrong. First, we were given a delivery window of 12pm-4pm. Then, we get a call almost two hours early from the "installer" who says that because their first two deliveries canceled they were already at my property. I told them the tenants could get home by 11:30am at the earliest because we weren't expecting them until 12pm as the reminder said. They claimed Home Depot called me to update me on the new times but I had no missed calls, voicemails, text messages or emails from them.

It got worse once the installers arrived. Upon arriving they told us that they needed $250 in order to install a new outlet for the dishwasher to connect to. After confirming with multiple sources, including other contractors, I knew for certain that they needed to use the hardwiring to do the install. The installer refused and said he needed $250 to install a regular outlet. We declined as we immediately knew that was a scam. Then, he tinkered around under the sink for a while (for what reason it's unclear). He became increasingly hostile, aggressive, rude, and completely unprofessional over the course of his time with my tenant at my property.

I paid Home Depot for the dishwasher installation as well as for the old dishwasher to be hauled away. The installer refused to install the new dishwasher without me giving him $250 for a new completely unnecessary outlet, and then he refused to haul away the old dishwasher. Initially, he was also refusing to give us the new dishwasher. So basically, he creates an inconvenience by coming early and causing tenants to rush home, then tries to scam us with an outlet we don't need, and then refused to give us anything that I paid for! Completely outrageous and unprofessional.

Then to top it off we started reading reviews from almost **two years ago that Home Depot knows about the fraud happening!!** When I called Home Depot to complain they said it was totally unacceptable for the installer to ask for more money and told me they would call me back within an hour to give me options to resolve the issue. I told them multiple times that they should never work with this contractor again. Then, I find out that other people have already informed them of being scammed by the contractor/installer and Home Depot **still employs them even when they know about the fraud!!** To say I'm disappointed in the professionalism and service of Home Depot is an understatement. I will never ever make a purchase from Home Depot again and I will tell everyone I know to beware of their installation services.

I call customer service. I am on hold for 20 minutes. I explain the situation and they give me a few options: 1) I return the item to a Home Depot and repurchase it. *That does not work for me, not driving 25 minutes there, returning, then driving 25 minutes home after being on the phone for 40 after all said and done. Not doing extra work for someone else's error.* 2) I can return one and get half the credit, so I would get 70 dollars and then purchase the second one for $90. What?!?! How is that even a logical option. Why would I spend $20 extra for something that was sent broken.

When I told them neither of those work, I was told that UPS can come get the item and to leave it on the porch and they will scan it and return it. THEN after it is scanned I can repurchase it. When I asked what is Home Depot going to do to rectify this for a very loyal customer (between my husband and I we have spend A LOT of money there). I was told absolutely nothing, they will do nothing. I said, why can't UPS just come get the broken one and you send out a new one? I was told, "oh that is just not how we do things and not our policy". Granted, I know the customer service agent makes ZERO policies but come on, with all the competition out there, why make things more of a headache. My husband will just pay off his credit card from there and we go to Lowe's, it is that simple. It is not a big deal because Home Depot is not special, plenty of places to get the products they sell but it just doesn't make any business sense.

Don't buy lawnmowers at Home Depot. This company is a fraud and they charge a fortune for mowers that break down in less than two years of use. I have two bad experiences with the store. I bought one and after a year it was dead. Even with the Home Depot credit card, I fought to have it replaced but it was already discontinued and I had to buy another one, knowing that the same thing will happen again. And the ”new” mower was discontinued so I was told to buy the even more expensive one. Home Depot wiped its hands clean saying that it has no more than a year of warranty and they cannot do anything for the customer, who uses their credit card to do business that after a year you can no longer change or upgrade. They will continue to sell more mowers that are be discontinued a year later!

Product was lost and we waited a long time. Finally found and shipped. Set up auto pay through my bank to not worry about missing a payment like I’ve done for 20 years. HD received it a day late and charged a late fee, this caused the minimum balance to go up which caused my auto payment to be short. Same thing the next couple months. I had no idea because autopay was set up for the same day every mo. for 11mo. No worries right?

WRONG-spoke to someone overseas of course who could care less and wouldn’t listen. He could barely speak English and treated me like a child on how to pay my bills, I said-“I’m not stupid, I know what I’m doing“ and HE got offended?!?! I received no understanding or help & asked to speak to a supervisor. Same thing. After 4 months of auto payments, I still owe what I bought it for. This has never happened to me in my 45 yrs. If auto payments fall on holidays, they’ll be a day late. They do not care. I was treated by supervisor Brenlie (**) like someone who owes a huge balance and never pays it. I’m an accountant with an 850 credit score. I pay my bills respectfully and I do it right. It’s a $31 payment to pay it off in 11mo with a 1 mo. leeway. I did everything right like I’ve done for 20 years. I closed my account because of this and will never use them again. EVER. I will give my money to Lowe’s.

I bought a new washing machine 3 weeks ago online. It started leaking water 2 days after it was installed. We waited a week for Home Depot installation people to come look at it and deem it not an installation issue. Then waited another week for a GE specialist to come look at it and diagnose it as MISSING PARTS FROM THE INSIDE OF THE MACHINE!!! Home Depot never once called us back or reached out to us about how to fix this problem. We have had to contact them every time. Finally got someone to “fix the problem” and say that they were replacing the machine, even gave us a date, on the text message feature of their “customer service”.

We rearranged our schedule to be home on this day, 3 weeks after purchasing a NEW washing machine and they cancelled after my husband called them (of course because they can’t seem to make a phone call or send an email) and said that replacing the machine was not approved. They graciously offered to ORDER PARTS FOR OUR MEW MACHINE THAT WE BOUGHT!!! Will they give us money back for accepting a machine that needs parts? Doubtful. All I want is a NEW MACHINE that is in proper working condition delivered to my house after this 3 weeks and countless hours trying to communicate with this HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Buy your items anywhere but here. Not only that, we paid them to take away our old machine which was still working and they left us with this situation that we have had to endure and do all the footwork about trying to fix it. The total opposite of what any kind of business or service should be.

So I said, let me run over to HD and take my chances. I was met by Joe R. and as I asked him if he knew anything about electric issues, he said no I'm sorry and his cohort he had been talking to laughed and said, he's just teasing. So then Joe took his time to help me and was thoroughly helpful and patient with me, a senior, and together, we figured out exactly what I needed. Our washer/dryer broke and we were in desperate need of another. We ordered from Home Depot, and it was promised to be delivered same week. Delivery company came on scheduled day and left because the machine was too heavy for them. We understood they needed more manpower, although they should've known this before delivering. We rescheduled for today. The delivery company never called me or reached out for delivery times. I called Home depot yesterday to confirm, and they gave me a window and stated someone would call an hour prior to delivery. Again, no contact from anyone. I happened to check online, and tracking showed there was an attempted delivery but no one was home.

My parents and husband had been waiting all day at home. I was at work. They told me no one knocked on the door, no one attempted to call us, and our security and door cameras did not pick up any activity around the claimed delivery time. I called back Home Depot again and the lady on the phone was so rude and said, "Well it's your word against theirs, and plus they sent us pictures to prove it." I asked her to send me the pictures, she refused. I hung up and called again and another lady, who was super nice, answered. She actually emailed me the pictures. Would you believe the pictures were taken off of Google Street View!

My car is captured in the picture, which was at work with me that day, AND the front door vases in the pictures were a year old and we had thrown those away during spring and replaced with new ones. The pictures were 100% from Google Street View! I called for the third time for a resolution, and again, the lady was incredibly rude and stated, "I don't want to be sarcastic or anything, but what exactly do you want from us?" Ummmm how about deliver my $2400 machines! I've never been so outraged by the blatant lies, rudeness and game playing! Stay away from HOME DEPOT and shop at LOWE's, much better service and smooth delivery process!

Customer service is a delicate thing and very few people understand this. In North McAllen when buying garden things, I noticed a price that was on the shelf where I picked up something from the lumber area. I brought it to the checkout and the price was different. I told the cashier and he spoke to a peculiar person who told him about the prices and he told me that the price was the cashier's. I took him to see the price on the shelves and he told me that it was incorrectly indicated because that was not the price. I asked him to respect the price that was on the shelves and he just laughed and I told him where the manager was and he told me that he was a manager... I reiterated the error on his shelf and I left telling him that I would escalate this anomaly...

I headed towards the tills and behind me the person who I thought was the manager, with a very peculiar appearance, shouted at me "Have a nice day" which bothered me and I commented that I hope it will also stop after I talk to his boss! ... Imagine a manager with that attention to clients. The good thing is that the Lowes store has those items that I was looking for and I do not recommend that Homedepot branch on Trenton ave and 8th st, since despite the efforts of employees, the problem is the managers.

My husband and I purchased a new water heater through the same day service. We called the Friday morning before Memorial Day weekend. The individual that we spoke with said if we got pictures to them before 2pm, they could help set us up for a replacement that following Tuesday after the holiday weekend. We sent pictures within 30 minutes of the text message conversation, but never heard back from the individual. I reached out again that following Tuesday and we got something set up but they couldn't come out until that Thursday. Even though the Home Depot page claims same day service, we didn't push it and took the appointment.

Thursday comes around and two guys in a beat up pick up truck with no indication that they work or are contracted through Home Depot show up. They did fine installing the new unit but when I asked to see the paperwork detailing the cost the unit, the cost of hauling away our old unit, and the cost of installment, they had no such details. I managed to catch a glimpse of the cost the water heater, so putting two and two together, it cost us around $1200-1400 just to install the unit. I reached out to the company to get a better understanding of the situation and pleaded that it wasn't reasonable to charge so much for a service that was in fact not same day service or even 24 hour service, but after my message was forwarded to management, I never hear back.

I then reached out to my local Home Depot with a promise that the manager would get back to me, but I never heard back from them either. So I decided I need to be more diligent in my research next time and was just thankful I had signed up for 18 month 0% interest. Well, when I was looking at my credit card statement, come to find out I was only given the 6 month 0% option. So I paid off the debt and closed the card. At this point, I don't understand why customer service is this terrible and I have lost trust for Home Depot and the people they employ.

Meanwhile the “declined” charge of over 3k is pending on my account. I was forced to drive 30 minutes to get to the closest branch to have my limit increased. Spoke to Kennedy **, explained the situation. She increased my limit by 500.00 and I asked at that time if the pending charge of $3k would create a problem and she said no it shouldn’t.

Went to the home depot store, advised I wanted to purchase a shed. Input my card, got an approval and the cashier gave me what I thought was a receipt with no indication there was a problem with the purchase. When I called the next day a Home Depot rep told me over the phone that a lesser amount was authorized but would not tell me what the lesser amount was… Before I could explain the situation further the rep (John) ran my card again! If you're looking for speedy delivery, this ain't it! We ordered a shower kit online from them on July 25, 2023. It was supposed to be delivered by that Wednesday. It wasn't. Fast forward about 5 phone calls between my partner and me to try to get this resolved, and they offered to credit us a 15% discount because something happened with the "shippers" they use that was out of their hands. It was supposed to be delivered last Friday, and now today, we get an email from them saying it's been delivered. My partner is out of town and he sends me a text saying look in the driveway. I'm like what am I looking at? I don't see anything. He says Home Depot texted him saying it's been delivered. It wasn't. So, I spent another 30 minutes on the phone with customer service.

I tell the woman that we are fed up - not only can we not complete our laundry room convert into a bathroom, but I haven't been able to do laundry for a few weeks now because we've been waiting on this shower to be able to complete the plumbing - but now they're saying it was delivered, when it wasn't. She puts me on hold, gets back on and tells me it's in Philadelphia (about 6 hours away from us). She then tells me they're in the process of switching carriers and that's why this problem occurred. I said maybe we should get a refund then because this has gone on long enough. But then I think, no, I don't want to have to start over again, so I ask to speak with a manager. I wait another 20 minutes and then I get...the SURVEY at the end of the call.

I had to call back and ask again to speak to a manager and wait again. When I finally got her, she informed me that the order was REFUNDED! I did NOT ask for the refund. Turns out though, that the reason for all the delay is because the order was "short" meaning missing parts, so it would've needed refunded anyway. How did no one know this fact the multitude of times we previously called for the same reason?? I'm calling **. This has been the WORST order experience ever.

Not only has your company cancelled majority of my orders I get sent an email saying I cancelled it. First off I didn't, second when it says in stock and ship to store then you should honor said request. Third if it's not there then a phone call would be appreciated, instead of whole order cancelled emails. I also went to store when speaking with an associate he said that even if they have numerous items in stock they aren't stocked where they should be then they will cancel the order so if I order online they will cancel my order if it's not found in its correct place. Basically no one will look for paid for item.

After all that was said and done and pushed demo date twice last bit of items should arrive right? Wrong!! The one item needed didn't arrive in fact after numerous calls to Home Depot stating it would the day before it was to supposedly arrive it wouldn't. Why??!! Because it was never at the warehouse! So now I have to cancel order due to list item and reorder again, even given a hundred dollar discount which btw I've spent a few thousand on this project so the hundred dollars off one item doesn't cover the crap I've been through.

Ship to store is recommended yet we've already had problems shipping to store because home Depot will cancel it if their lazy employees won't find it. Even told the associate on the phone that because she put ship to store doesn't mean anything because I had customer service at one store do exactly that and order was cancelled by home Depot next day. If I pay to ship here which I did last time and they lost it, well that takes longer. No manager has contacted me, no apologies made. I stopped the install as I refuse to get a fine for what Home Depot should have known was necessary to start the job. Here we are over a month later and still no permit has been pulled. I have had liars call to tell me that they are working on such. Mind you this can all be done over the phone from anywhere and the fee can also be paid over the phone. Received a call about two weeks ago from someone who stated that the installers were on their way to my home that morning but their vehicle broke down so they were going to reschedule.

Again I asked this liar... why did he assume it would be okay to arrive at my home without first calling to verify that I would be at home? No answer that made any sense. I inquired if those guys had a permit, again they too had no permit. I am an old fan of Home depot and do regular shopping. Most if time warranty or return is honoured but recently when my one year old HALO COOPER outdoor light suddenly stopped working I ended up in no man's land. On returning the light Home Depot customer rep in Milton Ontario Branch told me that they don't have any data older than three months, when I asked where can I return the light I was told approach the vendor but I did not have the Bill of receipt because always thought it it recoverable from my credit card. SO if you lose the Bill you lose the world. :) I don't understand why an old purchase is not in the system and what is the fault of someone trusting Home Depot and loses the purchase Bill.

Home Depot had a credit card promotion where if I spent $599.00 my purchase would be $549.00 if I opened a Home Depot credit card. Upon getting my first bill they did not credit me the $50.00. When I called their customer service department Patrick told me it took 3 billing cycles to get that credit which that is not what the promotion said. This is fraud, they make you pay the $50.00 then they credit your account forcing you to buy more on the credit card. There was no fine print stating this! I had to return one set of the handrails and purchased a larger set that was over $400.00 which I paid cash for. They then reduced the $50.00 to $25.00. Please do not fall for this. Needless to say I closed the account as I did not need another credit card. I only opened it for the promotion.

    Hole in ceiling
    Gaps everywhere
Trim pieces not mitered just butted up any old way it will fit
    Crooked doors
    Unfinished edges
    Off-center doors over fridge
Sent wrong size doors and they overlap!
    Sent wrong hardware
Sent wrong piece for over sink
Reordered the correct doors and sent the WRONG ONES AGAIN!

So not Worth the 15,000.00. Now they have to order again which takes forever! And here we are going into fall. I started this process in the spring. I leave end of November and won't be back till spring so it will be a year-long process that I was told would only take a few weeks at most!!

Updated on 8/23/2023: Had cabinet refacing done in my home from the Traverse City Michigan store. The gentleman that came out was very thorough. And told me everything that was going to be done. And that the cabinets would be completely finished when they left. When the gentleman that came out to do the work left. I had scratches on my new farmhouse Sink, crooked doors, crooked trim Overlapping doors and a hole in the ceiling. I contacted the store and they said they will see what they can do. But I am not getting any replies back. Just the runaround.

Original review: I contacted home depot for cabinet refacing they came out measured, And gave me my estimate. I financed it through Home Depot, they got their money. Here it is four months later and I still have not got my cabinets refaced. Nothing but a run around they passed me from customer service to customer service. I keep getting the same story, That the materials are not in yet. I get no communication unless I message them or call them. It's been nothing but a nightmare. I will never recommend Home Depot or do business with them again.

What an illegal operation they run on the flooring department. They lied and scam you. They promised that they will send someone into your house to measure your floor for free, but you have to pay a $50 deposit. Then they said this $50 will be deducted off your total carpet purchase. I had another carpet installer came in to measure the same room and come up with 150sq ft. The Home Depot guy come in and measured and said their computer calculated that I need to buy 230 sq ft. That is a marked up of 80sqft.

Their detail quote show they will deduct $35 from the total carpet pricing, and remember I paid $50 deposit. Now they only give me $35 credit back. That is another big ripoff. They marked up 80sq ft more carpet that you have to pay for to cover the installation fee, but they advertised Free installation. This is so sick in the stomach to think such a large public own company in this country can be so crooked. I end up using another private installer and lost my $50 deposit. No more Home Depot in Camarillo for me. I am going to other material supply stores.

ALWAYS TAKE A VIDEO OF YOUR DELIVERIES FOLKS!!! - The delivery guy shows up around 7am in the morning (on a school day) with no call or notice that he is coming. I hear loud noises coming from outside the house and wonder what’s going on so early in the morning. That’s how I came to realize that my vanities are being delivered. He drops the boxes from the truck on to a cart on the street which is about a 4-foot drop. I do mean drop in every sense of the word. I wondered why he is doing it that way and wouldn’t it damage the vanities. That’s when it occurred to me that this was a solo deliver person delivering two heavy vanities. Even Home Depot themselves caution that it takes a minimum of two adults to move this vanity.

After unloading them, he leaves the boxes at the end of the drive way right behind my cars, blocking my cars (see pic). I asked him to move those boxes or I would not be able to move those cars and make it to work that day. I tell him to deliver the boxes to my porch and not obstruct my driveway and cars. He argues with me and tells me that he is only contractually obligated to deliver to any part of the driveway and the end of the driveway meets that obligation. He finally agrees to move it to the porch but not to the actual porch instead to the entry way blocking the entrance to my house (see pic). He has to roll the boxes on the ground since, it’s a solo driver, he is unable to physical pick it up and move them (see pic). Then he walks away cursing in Spanish (I have learned some Spanish curse words over the years).

We have spent thousands at Home Depot through various renovations in various properties. Most recently, we ordered expensive items online for delivery for bathroom renovations. We were very specific about the store location we were ordering from. Their system or an employee sent part of our order to a store an hour away from us while also filling the order themselves, thereby charging us a huge amount TWICE. Simple to fix, right? No. Home Depot said they could not refund the duplicate charge by placing the amount back on our credit card. We spoke with multiple people about this. They said, due to THEIR MISTAKE, we had to drive an hour away to get a huge cash refund. The last customer service person we spoke with promised she would contact the store so that they would supply us with gift cards because of the inconvenience.

At the store, we stood there for AN HOUR while the poor employees were trying to resolve this. Finally, they did what we asked they do at the beginning: REFUND THE CHARGE ON THE CREDIT CARD. They clearly could have done this without us being there. They also did not provide us with any sort of compensation for our troubles (our credit card was charged interest as we waited for the $500+ purchase to be refunded). Home Depot, like other BIG stores, just doesn't care about their customers.

When we went to the Home Depot in Middletown, MD during that bathroom renovation, we wandered around the store without any employee asking if we might need help. We had planned to spend quite a bit that day. Finally, we found an employee and asked him where two items were. He looked at us as if we were stupid and said in a snide way, "Two aisles down." We said we had looked there and didn't see the items. He just stared at us. We left the store at that point. Now that Home Depot and Lowe's have the market on renovation supplies, it is terribly difficult to find what consumers need elsewhere, but I will never step in a Home Depot again. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS now that they have put out of business all the smaller individually owned stores throughout the nation.

If I could give a zero rating that is exactly what I would give. July 25, 2022 I ordered nine impact windows. The salesman came here because originally all I wanted was three sliding glass doors. Because they were not impact he could not help me with the sliding glass doors, but he could help me with the rest of the windows in the house. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Four of the windows which were originally slide up and down we made into two slider windows. I told the salesman exactly how I wanted them to open and when I got them 8 months later they were wrong. I wanted them to open from left to right and what I received was just the opposite. The other six windows were put in October and one of them the guy cracked while installing it and it took me four months to get that one fixed. Their customer service department is absolutely horrible.

I did contact and filed a complaint with BBB and unfortunately I took Home Depot at their word when they answered the BBB complaint that they would work with me to fix the issues. That was a lie. When I ordered the sliding glass doors, it was on the contract to open them from the left to the right. But the contract on the impact windows had X and S. Apparently. I was supposed to know what those meant. So for two months I went back-and-forth sending emails with the same customer service person at the corporate office and got absolutely nowhere. Just got an email from her saying that they were not going to put in the correct windows that I had ordered. They all decided amongst themselves that I was wrong and they were right, so apparently spending $25,000 at Home Depot they could care less if you are a satisfied customer or not. Really it shouldn’t be about the dollar amount. They just have horrible customer service.

I called the customer service person at corporate, left voicemail to have her supervisor to call me. Heard nothing, sent an email, requesting the name of her supervisor, phone number and have not heard anything back from her. Then the county inspector came and failed the inspection. So now I have to have Home Depot come back and fix the problems that they caused by not putting them in correctly and then set another appointment for the county inspector.

Went back to Home Depot (yes, I know, bad decision) - Tried to get a different make with freezer on bottom. Was told they aren't going to make them anymore so I would have to choose something else (of course it's the middle of the phony pandemic) and you can't order anything or it may take months... so I purchased what they had... Crappy fridge - no light in dinky top freezer, difficult to clean because shelves are heavy and do not adjust well.

Now to the lawn mower - purchased at one store, but another store and 3rd party delivered it. The best part, the delivery guy didn't know how to use the tow motor and almost dropped it twice. Finally got the pallet to the ground and was pulling and yanking at the mower, but it wasn't moving off the pallet (cutting the 6 straps that was holding it would have helped!). Got the mower to my driveway and it wouldn't start (dead battery - wouldn't even take a jump)... Driver says, "If you have problems, call the place you bought it..." and he leaves! Then I notice a completely flat front tire! (There is so much more that I will pass for now)... Call Home Depot - They say, "not their problem because it came from another store!" (Huge nail sticking out of pallet!) I will stop now... Still don't have a mower; don't have the refund for the flat tire; and Home Depot will never see me again after I return a whole lot of things I haven't used yet... That will be tomorrow!!!

My story: the people who delivered a garage freezer (ordered online) were incompetent, lazy, rude, didn’t unpack the interior. They turned on the freezer so interior packing material froze to interior walls. They wouldn’t level it, they said because my cement garage floor was uneven and that they weren’t supposed do anything but just leave the freezer at garage door. It was a terrible experience!

When I called Customer Service and started explaining my issues they put me into the phone survey twice. This is a common practice if the customer service staff don’t want to deal with a complaint. After five tries a person said they did not know how to get off the stuck on blue tape and packing materials. After three hours of getting the run around I gave up and called local Home Depot Appliance dept. For the first time I spoke to someone who seemed to want to help.

Eventually Natasha contacted me and said that she would do everything in her power to make it right. AND NATASHA DID MAKE IT RIGHT!!! She came with two very competent gentlemen. They got everything off of the interior, leveled the freezer and got me an extra compensation for the terrible experience. I am very happy now! But I will only use one particular local Home Depot and never order online. From now on I will video record, with sound, all deliveries.

I placed 5 orders directly at that store for me to pick them up. They ONLY notified me via email that 2 of the 5 orders arrived. The other 3 I had to do my own research on by calling and tracking it online AND neither method gave me a straight answer. Talked to so-called management at the store who could have cared less about my situation as a customer. I called on Thursday evening and was told by one of them that 4 of them have already arrived AND that the 5th order was going to arrive later that night via FedEx and be ready for pick up the next day.

The next day which was Friday I called there. Spoke to a so-called customer service supervisor by the name of Rita who said it didn't arrive the previous night and that she'll look out for it in the afternoon after they get their other FedEx shipment and call me back. She called and then told me it wasn't on that shipment either and that the best option is for it to be reordered because it's "lost in the mail". I then asked her WHY she can't even bother to go the extra mile by contacting FedEx to track the package directly with them? She reluctantly told me that she can try but they won't give her any direct information about where it is right now. She said she'll call them and call me back again afterwards. The phone call never came.

I then did my VERY OWN due diligence and research by contacting FedEx and according to their invoice, they delivered the package all the way back on April 28th at 4:35 pm which was signed by JJOEY. I called Rita back and gave her that information. Of course, she tried to play it off by claiming she wasn't given that information by them and that the ONLY thing they told her was that it was "shipped" which I know is NOT true because I know they told her more than that. She claimed that they searched the entire store and still couldn't find it and she then had the nerve to get sarcastic and rude with me by saying "I can't make this package magically appear".

I then spoke to another manager named Dave who then confirmed with me that the package was delivered on that date but that their associate NEVER scanned the package and that's WHY it's NOWHERE to be found! So THIS is the type of NONSENSE that this store puts their customers through?? I will file a formal complaint with the BBB as well because this type of behavior is totally unacceptable!

I had two bad experiences. First, I ordered a washer and dryer that took forever to receive. No one ever followed up with me and when I called, I was told everything was delayed at that time. I continued to follow, and was then told that my order had arrived damaged and they would not deliver, but would expect a replacement quickly. I’m now in close to two months, and they called, set an appointment, and I was ready on that day for a morning delivery. I waited till 2 in the afternoon, and finally had to the driver, who never answered, and finally the store. They said the dryer was dented and decided not to deliver, but never once calling me to advise. I cancelled the order, went to Costco, and had my units in a week!

My second experience was buying carpet. I was told by someone else that they had a good experience with carpet at HD, so I relented and went there to buy. The pricing was good, and I was told they would move the big items as long as I got the rest of the stuff out. Here is where I made a critical mistake, because I did not read all of the contract details. Anyway, I received a call to set up an appointment, and knowing the arrival time, I moved clothes and small things out of the bedrooms into my living room on that delivery day. When the day rolled around, I was ready and waiting but no one showed up.

I followed up with the installation company and was told that my installer had called in sick that day (a Friday!), and they needed to reschedule later in the following week. I had a mess with all of the things out of the bedrooms and objected to the delay. After a couple hours, they let me know they found someone to install on Saturday. The installers arrived as scheduled, but when they checked the rooms, they said moving the beds was extra and required a change order signed to complete the work. Remember, I was told they would move the big things, and as long as I didn’t have a big headboard, beds were fine if they were stripped of the bedding. I have 1 king and 1 queen, both with simple metal frames.

Well, I signed the change order and they finished the installation. Today, I got a call from HD telling me that I owed another $200 for moving the two beds, that they never said the installers would move the big items, and anyway, it was my fault for not reading all of the contract form. Yes, it is my fault for not reading it, and I am paying the added fee, but when I do business with a supposedly large good company, I don’t expect to be misled. Do business with Home Depot at your own risk, and read all of the fine print. As for me, they will not see me again, but hey, I’m just one customer anyway!

It's now 10:30 am and my delivery still has not arrived... These people are liars. Not sure who is running this show, but they need to be fired... I have wasted two days, my project is two days behind and they offered me a 15.00 credit... very poor customer service. I will not be ordering from them in the future, these people don't care, This company has gotten so big they think they can just ignore customers.

I signed up for the Home Depot Credit card a few months ago so that I could use the promotion. I was never sent a code. I had called the credit card company several times and they said that they could not issue a new promo code and that if I place the order online, the bonus would be credited to my statement (which is not true because my fiancé had signed up for a card and it took four months of calling to get his promotional bonus. He did not get it automatically and had to fight to get his bonus of $100.00.) Nonetheless, I did try to place an order online but because my total was a little over $1,000 and my limit on my credit card was $1,000, my purchase was denied...there was no way to pay the difference with another card. Had I had the promotion code, my balance would have been under $1,000 and my credit card would have worked online and the purchase would have gone through.

I then called the credit card company back and was told to call Home Depot to place my order over the phone. I spent a few days trying to place an order. I kept getting disconnected and when they send me the text for payment, my card was not being accepted. We were in the middle of moving and renovating and I had misplaced the piece of paper I wrote my new credit card number on. I waited for the card to arrive in the mail and it never did. I then called to have it replaced and I tried once again about a week after I received the card. I called Home Depot once again to place an order and this time was told that they could not do the promo over the phone. I called twice and was told by two different people they could not do it and that if I made the purchase online, I would receive a statement credit.

I had to cut my order down (Initially I was a little over $1,000 for the $100 bonus and I cut my order down to $300 for the $50 bonus...why be at $900 for the same $50 bonus) and I placed the order online a few days ago. I just got off the phone with the credit card company and was told that I needed to have made the purchase within 30 days to have been eligible for the promotional bonus and that I am no longer eligible. That is news to me. I'm guessing that information was in the missing email with the code that I never received and that information is not listed on their website. Over the past 15 years we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars renovating homes and for them to do this over $50.00 is ridiculous. If they don't want our business anymore, mission accomplished!

I received a gas dryer April 26 at 4:30 pm. Had drivers place in basement. On Tuesday April 27 tried to to have it installed. When I went to use it was very noisy and notice the top was loose and wouldn't stay in place. Also a dent on bottom. I tried calling depot. Could not get an answer so I went to the store. The sales woman I bought it from just gave me a runaround. Told me to deal with Maytag. This is untrue. You have 48 hours to have the Depot to replace or give you your money back. I talk with MGR and they agree so now I am without Dryer. Waiting for another Dryer. This is the second time I have received Damage product from them and you have to jump through hoops to get results. I will never purchase anything from this store.

When they delivered the refrigerator, washer and dryer they did NOT install the water or ice maker in the refrigerator and told me to call a plumber. The dryer’s heating coil was not working so they took it back and delivered the new one TEN days later and when I went to do this first load the washer did not work so I called the number they provided only to find that since the washer was out of the 48 hour time limit I was out of luck.

They want to fix my brand NEW washer instead of replacing it with a NEW one!!! I told them this made no sense since when I signed the receipt I wrote on it that I was unable to know if the washer worked as I did not have a dryer and was unable to use it. No one would help and now I’m stuck with a BRAND NEW washer that doesn’t work!!!! Whirlpool has refused to help even though the rep told me this is a common occurrence!!!! Home Depot is horrible in the way they treat their customers. I was a loyal customer for over 30 years but NO MORE! I will NEVER shop there again!!’ Horrible experience.

We are completing a remodel on an older home. One of the last upgrades was the bathrooms. We ordered three Kohler Valiant toilets from Home Depot. For the installation, we used one of the recommended plumbing companies. The toilets arrived secured to a wooden pallet. The boxes were sealed. I did not see any external box damage. The company came to do the installation. They opened all the boxes before starting to ensure all the parts were in the boxes. Surprise! One toilet was used. It had poop marks in the bowl. Also, the tank cover was broken. It was returned to HD.

I don't know if the previous buyer installed the new toilet, repacked the used one, and returned it for credit. I don't care. HD should inspect returned products with potential health problems before restocking them. I called customer service; they assured me HD would pick up the used product the same day. It is still in the garage, & it will not be picked up until next week. I will be charged for a second call out by the plumber; I asked HD to pay they quickly said NO! I can't believe they shipped a used toilet to a customer.

I ordered a list of items online at the store located at 5638 W Loup 1604 San Antonio, TX. Sadly, part of the order was damaged. The two rolls of fence, the top and bottoms had been squished down as well. They, the Manager, and the delivery guy, brought it out and said that it was damaged, so they would knock of $50.00 plus tax if I take it. I said ok, as I knew I could take it back if my husband didn't approve of it. Well, they did not honor the credit. I turned it over to the credit card company, and they rejected it as the receipt showed the complete order. Now, I'm screwed. Thanks manager.

Bought a gallon of Behr in the color whipping cream from the Florissant store. He did not ask me which Behr product I wanted and he used Behr Premium. I told him that the gallon before was cabinets, doors and trim enamel and he seemed frustrated. I asked if the color would come out the same, he said yes. He either lied, does not know his product, or did not make the correct color. It did not come out the same at all. I thought something was off but was in a different floor than the can before and thought it could be lighting. Did not think that any of the above mentioned items may be the problem, until I took one of my original cans, for another project, that I did not have tinted and took it there for the color.

Whipping cream and even the little paint they put on the lid is different on the can that was wrong. I went to the Home Depot in Cave Springs and they could care less. How disappointing. I will get my paint elsewhere and/or the Bridgeton store whom are knowledgeable in the paint dept. This is not my first issue with the painting dept. in cave springs.

We went to Home Depot to buy some paint and tried to use the Veterans Discount. We were informed that it can only be used if you sign up online. We did and went back to back some more paint. The paint was 33.00 and we received only a 1.8 discount not the 10% they advertise. When we ask about the discount, we were told that not all item were 10%. According to their advertising, the paint should have had a discount, along with a can of spray glue. I have shopped there for years, but think I will go to Lowe's or Menards for the rest of my purchases.
