I was at the Florida State Fair and Home Makeover had a booth there. I thought the saleslady was very good. She was really caring and fun. The sales manager came on. I think his name was Richard. He did a really nice job making sure that the well was working properly. They were very helpful. We had the water purification system installed on Feb. 22nd. Well there was a lot of sediment in my water and they did a really good job installing it, and get my well working correctly with the system. It tastes a lot better and it feels healthier to me.

It's been I think about almost a month now since I had the water system, the filter system, installed. Actually the water does taste better. It's a lot different. That alone has changed so we're happy with the system. The system is a great system.
The experience wasn't that great though with Home Makeover because first off, we decided to get the system and they wanted to put the system on right away. I was on my way to work, so was my wife. The kids are going to be home alone. My kids are a little old, but that's beside the fact. They're 14 and 16. Like about two hours later, I got a phone call from my son, ''Dad, the water's turned off.'' ''What do you mean the water's turned off?'' So they could put the system on. I told my son, ''Look out the window. Look outside. See if anybody's outside.'' He looked outside. They're already putting in the new system. I didn't think it was right. I was really pissed off. I told my son, ''Put one of the guys on the phone. Whoever's in charge out there, I want to talk to him.'' I told them, ''That's not right. I'm not home. I don't expect anybody working on my house while I'm not home.''
That was the only big thing I really didn't like about them. They didn't even make chances to change my mind or anything just like two hours later the system was there already. I was just like, ''What the heck is going on here?'' If I was to decide to change my mind, it would have been too late because the system was already in my house. Besides that little thing, otherwise everything else seems fine. Everything was working great. I will probably rate them maybe two. It's just that I don't like the way they just put the system in. I really think that was unprofessional. They put it in so fast without anybody home.

I had the insulation installed 2 or 3 months ago. I saw Home Makeover at the Florida State Fair. It seemed like a very good product. I think it was a little probably highly overpriced, but I got it anyway. Everybody was extremely professional. I have nothing negative to say at all. Everything went smooth and they were there when they were supposed to be. They finished when they were supposed to. I also think I noticed a difference in the temperature of the home. Very good experience.

BE WARNED. Do not use this company, they are awful. First, they will promise you a home visit for 45 minutes in exchange for a $25 Olive Garden gift card, then they send a person to your house. In our case, it was Barry. He stayed for 6 hours, and he will make you feel that you will save so much money by investing in these products. He will then tell you a lesser amount than what it really costs to make you feel like you’re getting a great deal. Then, they install immediately. The next day, they turn up with a contract that is not what they told you, but somehow rush you through it and make you believe what you're signing is the same. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time my husband signed it.
The next month, we had the water filter installed and hadn't had a bill yet for the attic. I was unaware of what had happened. Fortunately, I was at the signing and asked a lot of questions and didn't let them get away with giving us the wrong contract. When I realized they were trying to con us, I called the manager ** who immediately fixed this and reverted back to what Barry had promised. I then read through the attic contract and realized they had done the same thing and unfortunately, took advantage of my husband not being able to read the contract. I told ** this, and he said he would make sure both contracts were fixed. Two months later, still nothing. My energy bills were not 25% cheaper as promised every month. I called the number ** gave me as a direct line to chase it up. Apparently, he has moved onto greener pastures and the finance lady I spoke to was not willing to do anything to help. She also said the 25% reduction is not real, and they will not compensate you if your bill is not 25% less.
I understood my husband was conned and signed the wrong contract, and thank God I picked it up on the water, but I seriously wonder how many other people they manage to con on a daily basis. These kinds of companies were also reported on Channel 9 news last month for conning people on water quality. I seriously don't know how these people sleep at night. It’s disgusting. DO NOT USE THEM WHATEVER YOU DO. Do your research. I am now in over $**** worth of debt because we were conned. I wish I read this website before hand.

About a month, six weeks ago, we put in the water purification system and the insulation in the attic. We actually went to a home show, viewed some things that we wanted to do to the house and that's when we saw Home Makeover. It just happened to fit. We didn't really do a lot of searching around. We did look online to see that it was a reputable company. But other than that, we are satisfied so far. We talked to them. They came almost the next day and then almost the next day after that, they put the system in. So it was done relatively quick and so far we don't have any complaints.
Our water is definitely better. And I have noticed a difference in the heat that is trapped in the attic; it's not as intense as it used to be. Last year we had different temperatures, and it was actually hotter. It seems to have dropped a little bit. Utilities seemed to drop. They did a pretty good job and they kept their word. That's the biggest thing. I find them being thorough. There are a lot of people that tell you things and don't keep their word, but they seem to have kept their word and have done the job correctly.

We got the Puronics Water Purifier from Home Makeover about 2 months ago. We first heard of them at the Orlando Home and Garden Show. The sales person came to the house and was here probably a couple of hours. He showed us some things about it. We had already pretty much decided that we needed a whole house purification system so we had it installed.
The installation people had a hard time finding where to place it because we did not know where the water lines came into house. They were here quite awhile. But they finally got it set-up and we're satisfied with it. The shower is much cleaner and the water tastes better. It makes your skin feel better because it doesn't leave a film on your skin and soap lathers much better. I'm very happy with the system.

I went to the home show in Flagler and they, Home Makeover System, were there. And I was impressed with what they had to offer. So I decided then just for them to come in and talk to me about it. And after that, I was interested with what they said it would do so I decided I'd go try it.
The installation people cleaned up after themselves. I know they had to do that to the grass. The grass was disturbed then and until now it didn't grow back that good. That's the only thing they've done. They did tell me they'll have to do that part. So that's the only part I did not like, but other than that, yes, I would recommend it.
You know, it's very good. The water when you shower feels so good. The thing is according to them, I don't have to buy bottled water. I did not have this water tested since then, but I have not bought any bottled water. I have not found any fault with it. At the moment I don't know if maybe there will be any problem. It's too soon to say. I don't have any regrets right now. If I didn't have it, I would certainly get it again for myself. And overall, it's good.

I purchased the Puronics Water Purifier and Softener from Home Makeover about 3 weeks or a month ago. Everybody was wonderful - the sales person and the installation team. We had this because our water was not good. We knew that. We got a post card in the mail, from a company saying we get 50 dollar gift certificate, if we signed up with them. Honestly, that caught my attention. And that's when I called, and the salesperson was here within a day or two. The woman who came here was wonderful but it takes entirely too long. It was over four hours. But knowing when they asked you for 2 hours, people will panic.
The young man who initially came to install the next day started in the afternoon. And then someone else came the next day, and decided to do a little differently which is actually better than the first guy because the first one wanted wires running around the garage and we wanted it in the garage. And he knew what he was doing.
I checked out Culligan. Friends of mine have that and were very happy with it. But it really doesn't purify or softens. And we're very happy with this system and so is our neighbour who purchased it also on my recommendation.
I have hives on and off, and that's caused by a medical condition by my thyroid, and we thought perhaps the water had something to do with it but which it did not. However, the overall quality of the skin has improved. Hair is better; skin is actually softer and more moisturized, and it helped with the dry skin. And everything is easier to clean - the bathrooms, the floors, the kitchen and the stainless steel. I'm amazed with that. It is excellent.

There was like a weekend thing where Home Makeover System had like a home show. I just met them at the home show and looked at the information. The guy who did the sales speech was really friendly and nice, and a very good salesperson. He wasn't as pushy as most sales people, but this is something that I wanted to purchase so he almost didn't have to give me a sales speech because I'm going to buy the water filtration system anyways. I purchased it about six weeks ago.
The installation team came over. He came in to let me know that he was there, and he was installing it. He showed me how to adjust it, gave me the manual for it, how to check the salt levels and what not. Everything went pretty smoothly. I can actually drink it from the tap. It's nice. I notice my ice cubes are nicer to drink. I'm enjoying the product. I got what I wanted and I'm happy.

I've had a purification system and a screen put in a few months ago. I called in for service and I got it taken care of. Home Makeover System did well and everything went well accordingly. Though they made a mistake, he verified all the information to me and everything went well as I've arranged. The overall experience is good that's why I referred them already.

We had a water purification system installed six months ago. My daughter wanted it. Home Makeover System said that she had to have somebody go with her, so I stuck my neck out for her. I really couldn't say anything about the difference in the water because I always drank water from the faucet, but I think my daughter does. She bought in water and so she would notice. Still, I would recommend it. It's great.

I learned about Home Makeover Systems through a home show in Daytona. About a month ago, they put in the insulation in the attic and put in the reflective stuff under the floor. They did a good job, and they seem to be cordial about what they did. They also cleaned up everything after they were done. It was all in a day's work. I haven't noticed much of a change though. I have an old cracker house, but it seems to be better. I think they charged me so much, but it's still good.

I was going to turn my garage into a room so I needed insulation. Someone from Home Depot contacted Home Makeover Systems, and they sent someone down to my place to give me advice on insulation. The gentleman that came to sell the service was very good at convincing me. They said that if they cover the whole roof on the garage, they can bring the light bill down. They guaranteed a 25% reduction.
They came to install the insulation about a month ago. The team that came to install the service came perfectly on time, and they did it quickly. I was actually amazed at how fast they did it; they were very efficient. The temperature in the garage definitely changed; it's much cooler now, although I still did some extra insulation on top of the garage because they didn't have them.
To date, I haven't had enough experience to see the results. I haven't really analyzed how much the bill went down. However, I find the overall experience satisfactory.

I needed to get some insulation, and I looked at either doing it myself or going with Home Makeover. Doing it myself would have been through the Home Depot and get the machine brought up there. My insulation was pretty worn out. I bought the house in 2005 but the original insulation when the house was built was in 2001.
I learned about Home Makeover Systems in a trade show. And about 3 months ago, I decided to get the Attic Shield installed (they also gave me the light bulbs and shower heads); summer was just starting and I did the cost savings for my energy bill. I've seen some improvement in the temperature, although I wouldn't say a hundred bucks a month. But maybe that will change when summer comes. I think it will probably pan out.
I was disappointed in a couple of things. First was the financing and the other one was they had agreed to provide me a set of pans, which never came. As part of the deal, they were supposed to put this stuff in the air conditioner to make it work and then they were unable to do that. They also did not contact me since to rectify those two things. I need to reach out to them. They haven't followed through with their end of the deal yet. 90 days for the finance is about to come upon me on the first of next month.
Overall, customer service is zero. There was not a single contact back to me since they installed it. They look to continue the relationship and they follow through to make sure you are happy, but they have not contacted me once. They did not follow through with their promises. My wife keeps asking me where the $**** pan set was because it's supposed to be part of what we negotiated for during the deal. They said it was about 60 days, and that was 3 days ago.
I became a full homeowner for the first time in 2005, and ever since then I go with 2 companies for home projects like these and Home Makeover Systems was the second one. The first one was Rain Soft Florida Energy. They do the Rain Soft water softener and they also did my air conditioner. And I find the service for both companies to be extremely poor. It makes me feel honestly like I wouldn't want to do another project with anybody because it doesn't seem like home companies are very dependable. I feel frustrated, betrayed and disappointed. I'm angry that they lied to me. I'm angry that they haven't followed through with me.

We got the water softener and water purifier about 3 months ago from Home Makeover Systems. They came over, checked the water, and they said the water was really, really bad. So we decided let's see how that works out.
The installation team came in and installed it, and that was it. There was no problem with them. We know the water wasn't good and a master plumber said that that doesn't do the trick of taking all the contaminants out of the water; it just softens it. Home Makeover Systems is saying that they do. So I'd like some kind of test kit just to check the water coming out of my faucet to actually see if it is doing what it's supposed to be doing. The only thing that you can really get is for a pool, and that only checks for chlorine. It doesn't check for anything else. We went to the water department to get the water checked for contaminants but it would be costly. It would have been $****, almost $****, so we didn't do that.
I can't say that the water tastes any different per se, but it is softer. I'm not too sure if I like that particularly. It's almost like a slimy feeling. The only problem I have is until I really get a definite answer that Home Makeover does take all of the contaminants out of the water. But I really don't have any proof that they do when somebody else who's a master plumber says that that's not the case. If so, I'm just wasting my money.

We really weren't even looking for one, but we had recently bought our home. It was like every day, different ones (ten times, sometimes it's higher) were calling us, offering us gift certificates and with the others if they can come and take a sample of water. I had actually set up an appointment with one and I can't tell you for sure what company it is. I know it wasn't Home Makeover. They came and they were very, very rude, nasty and just all wrong. So that upset me. After that, all kinds of just continuous call.
I wasn't home. My husband intercepted a call and invited Home Makeover Systems to come into our home. So they came out and to my surprise, he was very nice. Everything, yes. I couldn't ask for a better one especially with the first experience. The man showed us examples and things and he was wonderful. I mean great, fantastic. He was very thorough, answered any questions we had, told things that we didn't even need to know but was nice to know. He was just very good, very polite, and he was wonderful. So, we purchased the saltwater thingy a couple of weeks ago.
We had three people come. We had this gentleman who came and told us the products. Then we had the man who came out and tried to do paperwork that the first guy had already done. Then we had the guy that brought the coupons and things like that. Then we had the old guy who came and actually put the machine in. I kind of notice things. I have noticed that it doesn't leave the yucky stummy. The kids say they didn't notice anything. My son says it tastes like soap. I didn't understand that. Overall, I would recommend it to a friend. Interesting!

I heard about Home Makeover System through word of mouth first. My grandmother had a water purifier done in her house. In my house, the water has this taste and smell. That's the reason I had it cleaned up and got the water purifier. I was satisfied. Very satisfied. The water doesn't have that smell to it and it tastes a lot better.
I also had the attic and the windows done maybe like five or six months ago. They came, explained to me the details and how the attic shield works. The window pins worked and everything. They brought samples. They showed me the difference when they put it in under the heat. They demonstrated and showed me the difference (tests and everything), so I was very happy with what they showed me and everything.
Right now we're on the winter side, it's been on the cool side. We really haven't had hot days yet because it's been raining; I really haven't been able to tell yet, but when I do, hopefully it's better to it that they're by the shield attic and keep the attic cooler in the summer - not too hot. They worked in everything. I've been very satisfied. I'm just hoping it does bring my light bill down.

I don't like people that do this to me because I'm not working, and I feel like they did take advantage of this situation. I purchased the attic and for the water only a couple of months ago.
I don't see any change. It's still hot inside. The water is fine. At first I thought it was very expensive. If I had no qualms with this and if I had known it would be so expensive and all this setting, I wasn't going to do it.

It was a water soft purifier that we got from Home Makeover Systems. We've had that for 2 months. First, they had called us and they were gonna come out and do an interview, to show us how hard the water was and how it would benefit us, that the water would be better to drink. We never really thought about it until they contacted us and showed us the difference in the purity of the water. Same day they came right out and installed it. Now the water tastes different. I think it's really fantastic with the clarity of the water.

We had insulation put in several months ago. We already had it before. Somebody else installed it the first time and it was installed incorrectly. Home Makeover said it was put in backwards so they thought it should be fixed. I guess my experience with them was okay. On the other hand, they gave these coupons and we tried to use the coupons on the internet and they wouldn't work. And so I never tried them again since.

Home Makeover did a home show at a convention center. Put our names in there and they called us 'cause we needed water purifying system, and they came out. The lady told us other things that the staff needed to make sure they ask about if they were still on there, and she did so. We just tried them because we really have dead water. We have bad well water that turned everything orange and yellow and white or anything. It's been that way for a couple of years now and we really needed something because it kept getting worse and chemical bad. We've had the water purifying system for a month, and so now there's no smell and we were able to buy white clothes and stuff and wash them and will not turn them yellow on the first wash. And our toilets are all turning white again. It's great. We love it.

I hired Home Makeover to install insulation in our attic last March. They were fine. Actually why I got one is because my neighbor had gotten it. My neighbor had it done in her attic and then she gave them my name and number and they called. They came down and explained the whole thing to me and whatever. Then I agreed to have my attic done.
The whole process wasn't bad. The guy was here for a while but they explained everything, set this thing up to show me with the installation and explained to me about energy savings and stuff like that. The installers did clean up after themselves.
I have noticed a difference since I had the attic done. Before, my power bill used to be like around $***, $***, and now last month's bill was $*** something; and the month before I think my bill was like $*** something. I think it was a learning experience because I never heard of that stuff before that they put in my attic. So I think it was a very good experience.

It was a little bit warm for me, but my bill went up about 30%-40%. This last month was a lot warmer than I suppose it was. I'm going to see what we do in the warmer months. Home Makeover Systems contacted me about 2 months ago regarding their water filtration system, and I decided to get it. They installed it the very next day and that was it. I've never heard from them again. I just wanted to make sure that everything was good.
Since having the system put in, I've noticed that the bills actually are a little bit higher. We're using the same amount of water, and I don't think it had changed. Some of the other things the company can improve on to make the customer experience better was their promotional office. They weren't exactly what I thought they would be, but I'm trying to save money and go with the coupons; they're a lot harder to use.
Overall it was great. Other than the financial, the installation was great and everything was great. But other than that, just following up with testing the water... That's what I'm hoping they would pull off.

I came to know about the company in a contest that I registered for. They had different prizes and stuff and then they called my name. I didn't end up winning anything; I had to make the purchase. I purchased the water purifier from Home Makeover Systems for I think close to a month now. Although I have not had the system long enough, I noticed a change in the water just in doing the laundry or taking a shower; I think it was really different. It makes you think about what you have when they did the water test and you saw it. You just went like, 'oh my gosh' just like that. It was kind of a little bit like, 'Really? That's what I'm drinking?'
As far as the interactions with the salesperson or the installation team, it was very nice. They explained everything very well. It was actually installed the day that they were here to check the water and everything else. So it was pretty fast and I think they handled it pretty well.

We found out about Home Makeover Systems from the Home and Garden Expo in Florida. The product, we're happy with. The company, we're not... The reason being everyone I've talked to on the phone has been for the most part very polite.
The two men who came to install it, one was very nice and I've already spoken to one or two people about it. The other one was just spitting on our attic. We weren't that happy about that. He said he wasn't spitting but we did clearly hear him spitting on the floor. It was more of hearing him cough up and it was just gross. My husband went up there and saw that a few things were not tucked out properly. He told them and they went right up back there and they fixed it.
I work from 8 o'clock until 3 o'clock or later and Home Makeover Systems kept calling me and calling me and calling me. I had no idea who was calling me. I didn't know why this number kept calling. So every time I would call, I would be put on hold for a few minutes and then the call would disconnect. At first it was happening every single day for 2 weeks. I was going to call and put the number on the 'Do Not Call'. We finally got in touch and we asked them to stop calling. We then started getting calls from another phone number from Home Makeover Systems, and the calling continued and continued and continued while I was at work.
When we decided to call Home Makeover Systems, we read some Better Business Bureau reviews. The one we read about was some of the sales tactics, and I have to say we certainly agree with those reviews. We have had a full month utility bills since we first had it in. So a whole month of having it bought and installed in our home. There's a slight increase in our bill but we weren't certainly expecting it to increase a lot given the fact that we are now running our AC every single day, and it's 90 degrees outside.
The attic is just right over the bedroom, kind of like it was the home theme of 1940 and the bedroom with a porch it looks like that got converted into another room. That room especially is very hot. It still gets warm in there but certainly not as hot as it used to. The product itself you can tell is working, but we're put off with the issues with the calling even the spitting. So even though we're happy with the product, I don't think we want to do business with that company again at all. The product we like, but not the sales tactics.

When we bought the house, Home Makeover Systems sent us a thing in the mail - 'Welcome to the neighborhood' kind of deal. 'Give us a call if you're thinking about it.' So we looked into it, checked out collagen and one or two others. It was a monthly bill that's why we paid once and it's ours forever. It does our whole house. If we ever sell or move or whatever, it goes with us. It costs $**** so I love it.
We had our water purification system installed on March 15. If you live in Florida, you have to get your own water purifying system, and we know it's the best. Before we installed the system the water was horrible, horrible, horrible. Your hair feels like straw. I have very long blonde hair, and I was clipping it. When I put dye in my hair to bring out the color, it didn't stick because the chlorine was so bad in the water here that the chlorine interfered with the dying. And anytime you got a cut or a rash or something, it wouldn't heal. It was bad. It was bad. We knew because we lived in the Florida Keys for 10 years and that's the worst you can get.
I used to bring home water from the Waffle House. I worked there for years and years so I would just bring home water to cook, water for everything. But then when we boarded the house up here in Deltona, I called the Home place and they came with this water machine. It's beautiful. It's a big cylinder. It's in my garage and it purges every night for three hours and it goes twenty feet into the ground, eighteen feet into the ground. That's why they wouldn't have to come and clean it; it doesn't have to be serviced.
I've noticed that my water bill is less because they also gave us the spigot that goes on the spout in your kitchen and your shower. There's like an hour shaped glass installed inside so it was like forced pressure. When you pour the water through, it shoots out and it saves on water. It shoots out a milder, wider range. It's beautiful.
I've already recommended them to my friends across the street. They're actually doing their own research now, and they're going to do what we went through. They're looking into it now, and I think my neighbor across the street is going to get it put in their home too. Overall, they were excellent. The guy that came was a sweetheart and a doll. I love you. That's all I can say. I just love it.

I've had dealings with HomeMakeover Systems about 10 years ago when I bought my water filter system with them. About 2 months ago, I bought the insulation. I made several phone calls. I'm wishing that I haven't paid already because their products are so-so. Now it's really getting hot and they promised me that my home will be more comfortable, and that I'll do a little better with my energy bills. Before it wasn't so hot when the system was installed. My home felt very comfortable; but now that it's getting cold, I don't see so much difference. I'm unhappy with the result.
I had a hard time with the finance, and I was very mad and very upset about it. I was the one that went to the show, and I was the one that set up the appointment. I was the one that decided to buy. I was the one that is going to pay and they put the name of my husband on the account. I have to have permission from my husband to be on their account and they say now that there is nothing that I can do and that's not fair; I'm the one that has to pay. He's not putting any penny because he doesn't have it, and I mainly will say that I wouldn't do any business again.
I gave them the chance to do what they said so I don't think they would do anything. The whole experience - the conference with the sales was very good. The installation in my home, I give a 2 rating out of 5.

I have not heard of Home Makeover Systems until they contacted me. Prior to the installation, I had city water. It was very hard and had a lot of chemicals and stuff in it. So I purchased the Terminator (water conditioner) and had that put in the first quarter of the week. Everything went good - no problem. The salesman was very friendly, polite and the installers were good. It hasn't been long enough to notice a change in the utilities though. I'd say they're okay I guess.

We had just moved here in January, so I don't know how they supposedly ended up with our number, and they contacted us. Home Makeover Systems called me asking about wanting to do a water test and things like that, which we wanted to do anyway, so we were happy about it. I got the water filtration system probably about the end of March.
The installation guy, the people on the phone, and everybody were nice and were great as they could be. They did whatever they needed to do and did a good job. The sales guy when he was here said I have to wash my truck that have spots on it, and I don't have to worry about having to dry it no more. Even the water, we don't have to buy water and so on.
Well, I still have spots all over my truck when I wash it, and I still have to buy water because it still didn't taste right. I did call them a couple of weeks ago. And when I get a hold of them, I'm still having some issues with it to this day. Like I said, I just spent $10,000 and I still got to buy water and bring my car or truck to a detail shop. This is supposed to be saving me money. I hope that they would straighten it out and fix things.

It was the water purification that I purchased from Home Makeover Systems. We've been in this house 7 and a half years ago. We had somebody come to the house. It was a newly built house that we wanted to protect like the water heater and the other appliances in the house, and our city is known for having bad water. So after a lot of discussion, we talked and weighed down on the price and decided to go ahead and do it. We got like a year interest refinancing on it (we have excellent credit so everybody wants to give us credit, including when we don't need it.). Anyway, every year we've had maintenance done on it. In fact the yearly maintenance was just done today. We've never had any problems. Everybody that has come to the house as far as the maintenance guys has been great answering any questions, if there's anything additional needed besides the basic maintenance, showing us what it is exactly what's going wrong and how we can prevent it in the future. So, we've never had an issue.
Do your research first. Know how much you need to pay and negotiate the hell out of the price. They never sold the system that we have as cheap as we got it for, but I knew what I was willing to pay, and they let me on that. I've never had a problem with it and never had a problem with the company. Overall, my experience has been satisfactory. They are easy to work with, understanding because when we do have an issue, they understand that we just don't have a couple of hundred bucks laying around to just throw at something. They know that it may take 30 days for us to get the money together to pay for something like that.

We got the water system installed probably three years ago. They discussed it, and the only thing I got upset about was that it was supposed to be $**** a year to come out and maintain it and all that and now it's $****, but that was the only issue - they said that due to the economy and due to how half an hour away they were and gas and stuff. The installers were perfect. They were great. No problems. We know there's a difference in the water. We just have to remember to put the part in. The water now tastes better and feels different. You know that it's working. The shower stays cleaner. Basically, everything is different. I'm happy with the quality of the system. Very good.

I had the water purification system installed. It was installed 6 years ago. The technicians with the people who have come here have been terrific on their end of it. I asked them questions while they're there, because I don't know how this thing works, and while they're doing whatever they're doing. But they've been very, very good with that. I asked them, 'What does that do?' and 'What is this?' or anything. They've been good. I haven't in years had any problems with it. The water seems to be fine. I mean, here in Florida we have that sulfur issue, but I haven't had it. My in-laws in Oviedo have had it. Probably, this ionic purifier is working better than most because I have nothing, no odd case, now or anything else. It's all been, as far as I'm concerned, clean water.
Generally if I'm out, I'm at a restaurant and have water, the water seems fine and tasteless. Other than that, I mean, it's only when I go to my in-laws now and then there's definitely the scent of sulfur. I love coffee and so does my sister in law. So the thing is I think she has the problem with that water now and then with her coffee because of the sulfur or whatever is in the water. It's been fine for a while over there.
The only thing I had initially, as far as I was concerned, the water was a little salty. I just tested it - it's almost like using a Petri dish, clear dish. And I would run some water about quarter of an inch out. And I'd just leave it out outside and it would dry in the sun and I'd see a little discolor, a little white. I'd add another little bit more, and then for sure it was salt. But I called them and they came back and they made adjustments and I haven't had it since. Because some of these things, when you look at it, there's all these little fine things that they do to it to adjust the water. As far as softening - that's the other thing with it - that seems to be all good. I mean, plenty of soap, it lathers up, and all of that.
Actually, the thing itself is probably 10 years old. We had it in our other house, and when we moved, we wound up taking it with us. That's part of the deal - they didn't want it. But anyway, we brought it here and I believe they're the ones who moved it. I called the company (they were formerly known as Great Southern Water). They moved it over and installed it at this house. Well, they checked it up to see if this was capable or if it was big enough to be used here. The shortcoming is I guess if you have a small unit and you have a lot of water usage.
Since they were the one with the installation originally in the other house, when I moved in and they would come every year to service it, I just called them and everything went fine. Definitely, I would recommend Home Makeover Systems. They come and they do their job, and everything works fine. The thing is like when these guys come and they're going, they look for the potential of something down the line that might or might not yet or did not happen yet but could because of the age. So they give me a little input on that and say, 'You know, maybe a year, maybe in two years, you might have to replace this ** (might or might not), but if anything comes up or you see some leaking or whatever, just call' and so forth.
They're good. As far as I know, they do me a little bit extra in the sense that they're checking these things out, like some minor stuff that maybe another company may add on another who knows what. It's just what I would say is minimal and I could probably do myself (some of it). I think they're right on top of it. They're excellent.

I got the Puronics, I believe, the water purification system. It's probably about a year now since we purchased it. Well, I can definitely tell the water feels better. When you take a shower, it feels much more cleaner. And it tastes better too. And the representative that came out, he was very thorough, very professional. He took his time and didn't try to rush anything. And basically, he did some demonstrations. I had a water purification system before in another state, so I was familiar about what they did. But this seems to be a better system. It seems like it's quality, and I feel really good about it.
Actually, I had a problem with the installation. I have sprinkler system in my yard and the man actually cut one of my pipes. And I didn't know it's an underground water sprinkler, so the water was running out. And I only realized that a week later. And I called them up, and they came right back out and then fixed it. No questions asked, no fuss.
The agent that they sent out was really professional. I mean, a lot of times, people call you, the telemarketers - they try to rush you into doing something. He was very thorough, he explained the whole situation. He explained how you do that - types of different financial options, if you don't want to pay for it upfront, that type of thing. He gave me his personal home number and told me that if I have any problems whatsoever, I could call him and talk to him about it first. And I haven't had any issues.
I'll definitely recommend Home Makeover Systems, no doubt about it. And you know the funny thing is that I've had people come to my home and stay here, like a vacation or something like that, and they all make comments about how the water feels like here, like, oh that feels kind of silky, makes them feel really clean. I've always told people that it was a pretty good system. I had another system before, in another state. So I kind of knew what I was looking for in a company. And I called several companies, actually, and discussed it on the telephone first. And I just felt more confident with the guy from Home Makeover. My experience with them is wonderful.

We had the water purification system installed probably like two weeks ago, give or take. It really didn't take that long for them to order it and then install it, and stuff like that. So, it was probably within like 2 or 3 days. I went to the home show that they had in Orlando. And I made an appointment with them. The following week, they came and talked to us about it. And we ordered it that day. In like two days later, it was installed. The installer did clean up after himself, and I always did offer him, if he needed anything to drink or anything like that. He was courteous.
The other system that we had was kind of, they had the sour smell. That's why we decided to change the system. We've noticed a significant difference between our water now and before. Home Makeover is a good system to have in your house. It's good. Well now, when I'm doing the dishes and stuff and taking showers, I feel cleaner than I did before. It was good.

Home Makeover is wonderful, of course. Before the water purification system was installed, the water smelled kind of foul. The texture of my skin was not smooth. It was pretty rough I should say. My hair was horrendous. Yes, it was horrendous. My skin, my face, it was so rough because it was like paper sand. Now, it's soft. I hate to say it but it's true. It's much softer. Sometimes, I don't require any lotion. Especially when I clean glass, you can see a big difference. And I'm very grateful. I really enjoyed it. I've had the system since September or October of last year.
I want to mention the sales person, I don't remember his name, but he's a gentleman. He went beyond call of duty to demonstrate the product, the value of the product, how important it is. He cleaned the floor and you name it...my bathroom - he did wonderful. He's a perfect gentleman. With ordering, thank God it was wonderful. The gentleman came. He didn't have to dig a hole in the ground or anything. He installed it in the garage within maybe an hour and a half. I think I've called once, because I thought I had a problem with it because it was noisy at 2 o'clock in the morning. And I didn't know that it was cleaning itself out. The serviceman came in. He adjusted whatever he had to adjust. He was very polite, very professional. The whole experience was wonderful. It was very professional. I must say the truth.
He was the first one to knock on my door, so I didn't really compare him to anyone else. He was like a little mad scientist. He had little tubes and he was experimenting before and after. And he was able to show me the minerals that the water had prior to the installment of the purification system. And he conducted several tests - the smell, the cleanness, the deposit minerals and everything. So he was intellectual and on scientific proof, he convinced me. And it was the best thing that ever happened. I come from up north and their system is totally different from here in Florida and I don't have problems with that.
Get it. It's a good investment. It's one of the best investments besides buying my house that I've ever made. I recommend it 100%. The product is very good. It might be a little pricey but you know what, you cannot put a price on health.

The installers just transported the unit over from the other house. They did put it in and they did put a new one in. I've had a system with them before. I had it put in about 10 years ago here in this house, and then I moved over to my husband's house and I had it transferred over there, and now I've had it brought back here. And I've been very satisfied with them. They're very polite to me and they're very patient with me. I'm an old lady and I have difficulty getting things done. They're patient with me, and that I appreciate very much. Home Makeover did a better job, better than what I had. The quality of the water has met my expectations.
The idea was to disconnect one and bring it over here, and they got rid of the old one that was here. They have brought the new one over to my place. They corrected everything that had to be corrected, and everything is working perfectly. I did my homework before I got involved in this. And I chose them over the competitors, because I like the quality of work that they did and the men that they sent to me were very good.
The water, it's a lot better than the town water (they know). The water isn't good without a purification system. It's terrible. While I was without it, I never used it except when I was using it in my coffee maker. And the coffee maker had a filter anyway, so I wasn't really using it. Home Makeover has been very good to me and very easy to work with. No problems. Everything went along just smoothly. I have previously had another company's purification system in and I have a well, so I had a whole well package put in. And it's a lot easier to take care of and maintain and seems like the consistency of the water quality is a lot better than what I had before. And the ordering was very simple. Mike called and talked to the service manager. They told him what my issue was, and they came out and looked at it. At the point that they came out, I knew that I was probably about ready. If I stay with the existing company or if I needed to change company, first, it's gonna have to replace the equipment, because it was about at the end of its lifespan.
The people at Home Makeover came out, evaluated the existing system that I had, and basically offered me what I determined later, after I did some research, to be a better system than what I had in as far as capability and kinda walked me through the whole process as to how it was gonna be installed. And they were able to make the whole thing happen in about 4 hours, which was great. The installers cleaned up after themselves, presented well, clean-cut.
I've had the system in place now for a year and a half or so, and they have serviced it a couple of times. I had an issue where one of the components had failed and obviously things were out. So they came out on a Saturday, and they repaired the component that was the problem, and then they spent time making sure they clean out all the plumbing in the house, flushed our lines out, and made sure everything was perfect before they left. They did a great job. I would absolutely recommend Home Makeover Systems. It's a very positive experience - very courteous, professional, and timely.

It's been a very, very nice experience and especially I'm by myself now. And I worry about things like that, the air conditioning, the heating, the water purification system, the water heater, you know, everything. And they have come out when I thought that there was a problem, but there really wasn't and they've come out and like I said on a timely basis and assured me that everything was okay and I've had nothing but good experience with them.
We bought the system when we moved down here from up north and we really didn't live in a home where there wasn't a purification system. But from what everybody tells me when they come over and taste the water, they said it's so much better than what's available around here. I mean this part of Florida is just terrible for water. I mean it's just lousy water - it tastes terrible and smells. It's hard water.
Everything went smoothly with the ordering process. The installers were absolutely friendly and cleaned up after themselves. They've been very, very good. Anyone would absolutely need the water purification system especially if they were in this area or any part of Florida. I've been down south, middle, up north and it's just all terrible, terrible water. So I would recommend this system to anybody. Great experience, very knowledgeable technicians and it's just a pleasure to deal with them.

Before I had the filter put in, if I emptied out the ice tray and that it melt naturally, it left a white gooky film on my sink. So I knew I needed a filter. I was using the Diana Pitcher (Brita). I have bought a filter for the master bedroom shower. But even cooking, I would still have to fill the pitcher up. I would have to rinse the food or the meat off, fill it back up - it was a pain to cook. And when I was buying water, of course, after I saw the gook, I wasn't going to drink the water. Because of my dentures, I can't drink cold water. It's a month and a half that I've had this and I'm able to drink the water straight from the faucet. I love the taste. I'm in Jacksonville and so the water has always been terrible as far as I know. And whatever they're using to 'purify' it is not working.
They sent me a card saying, 'If you let my salespersons come in, we'll bring you a package of paper towel,' which I love. It came in that day, same day. I ordered it the same day and by 9-10 o'clock that night, it was up and running. I don't know if they do it for everybody else. They cleaned up after themselves. They explained what they were doing every step of the way. Of course, I didn't really understand what they were saying. But if they had to come in, they always knock and ask that they come in and explain to me what they were doing.
HomeMakeover wasn't the first filtering system, but they were the second ones who came because I've just been in this place two years. I've been in Florida three this place. And so price-wise, they were reasonable. The first people weren't. Their price was just off the wall. I'm paying a mortgage - you want me to pay this much of money a month. I mean come on. Let's be realistic. And I believe I had been praying about the water systems. I didn't realize how much strain I was under by cooking with the filling up this pitcher. And the things that they just sell to clean were just the water with no chemicals anything. There was a rust stain on my shower that with just a little elbow grease, it was gone. That's very cool.
HomeMakeover kept their word. What they told me their product was going to do, it has done and continued to do. I mean just everything, I clean. It seems to me the cleaning goes easier or faster. I've cut down on products to buy to wash my clothes and so it's helping me with cost.

They did the water test and all that good thing and I ended up getting the system. And then they were going to put them to put it outside. I asked them to put it inside and they said, 'No trouble. We'll take care of that.' And now it's just an annual service.
They're good people. Just be prepared to be on their calling list unless you call them to take them off, because they do offer six different things, I guess. The overall service is great. They always remind me to get the equipment service. The guy came out and made a suggestion that I get my entire purification tank free done after. And no high pressure sales or services. It needs to be done. You're a year and a half over. They took care of it. I mean the salesmen aren't pressured into selling you anything. They just come out and take care of the service, put things back, and off they go.

I attended the Jax Home and Patio Show in September and entered in a sweepstakes with Home Makeover Systems. They said I didn't win the big prize but did win a free energy light bulb and a free energy savings audit. They came out and performed the energy saving audit and explained about their product (Attic Shield) plus a few other energy saving devices and treatments, which would save us over $100 a month off our electric bill. He furthermore stated that the savings would pay for their product itself, so there would be no out-of-pocket expenses. My son asked him what the terms were, and he said $120 a month for 24 months, so we decided to have it done. They immediately scheduled installation the next day.
After installation, my son reviewed everything including the contract and found the terms were different than initially told and discrepancies in the installation. The contract terms ended up being about $124 month for approximately 90 months. Also, the installers stole a very valuable, irreplaceable item from the house. I immediately wrote a cancellation letter of the contract within the three days of the contract. A week later I was contacted by the corporate office asking what was wrong, and I explained to him our dissatisfaction with the product and what had happened. The company asked to send the lead foreman back out to inspect the installation and have us re-sign the contract. We explained our concerns over the savings we would be saving off the electric bill and that we didn't feel the product would pay for itself.
The rep did a good job negotiating a new price as well as backing the product. They also compensated for the theft by giving us $200 back (not really compensation at all since the item held much more sentimental value that no cash value could ever replace it). Well, it has been over 3 months since the installation of the Attic Shield and A/C conditioning, and we are seeing no apparent savings from our normal usage of the electric bill. And this is without the use of A/C or the heater running, unlike the pre-installation with the A/C running.
We feel that we have been misled in what this product could do, and we are seeing no savings at all! I am on a fixed income and was sold on this product by them stating the savings from my electric bill would pay for the product. It is not! It should be illegal for a company to advertise that and not be held liable. They refuse to do anything about it and just referred back to the installation contract and sign off sheet, which was all done the day of installation! Now, I am in debt for $5k, for something that isn't doing anything at all to save me money. Furthermore, the website was advertising 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, but since my complaint to the BBB, they have removed it. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anybody.

They did water purification. The overall picture, it was great. The salesperson was wonderful. The product is great. And the installation people were more than nice. They put all the old equipment away. They made sure we understood the control. We have already recommended this to several people.
I didn't like the water we had here. So for years, I'd been drinking bottled spring water. By the time they finished the testing, the bottled spring water was worse than what was coming out of our faucet. The biggest seller was she took a stick of butter (regular butter) out of my refrigerator and wiped it across the window of the microwave over the stove and she drew a line down the center and she said, 'Take your best cleaner and clean one half of it.' So I did. And you could still see little smears because it's grease. Then, she took a few paper towels and took the purified water and she cleaned it just that way until it's scraped. It was clean. You could see your face in it. And that was like, okay, you're not gonna get any better water than this. And to this day, all my glass, pub tables, my kitchen table's glass top, I don't use anything but a wet paper towel and a dry paper towel. We've hardly used any cleaners in this house except the pure water.
Home Makeover far exceeded what we had anticipated. We thought we're gonna get another water softener. We'd already had a company come in and check the water in that, and there was no comparison between the two.

I purchased a water filtration system from Home Makeover. If they took that system away from me, I would leave Florida. I can't even imagine my life without it right now. When we take our dogs to a park, they would even drink water with us. I think we have the best water ever. I have recommended them to a lot of my friends. Actually, one of my friends is getting the machine also.
I saw them at one of the home shows, and I called to get some more information, and they said they would need to come out to test the water and to see what they could recommend. They came (I think the next day, they came), and he tested the water, and he recommended two different machines for me, and I actually chose the stainless steel - the more expensive one. And the whole process of setting it up was great. They came to the house, did the presentation, and showed me how the system works. It was installed the next morning. They showed up on time. They said they'll be there between 10 and 12. And he was here at 11 and installed and cleaned up and left. It took maybe an hour and a half. It looks as if I didn't even know they were there. It's installed outside, so they were never in the house. And I had clean water after that.
They're absolutely fantastic. They were great. The salesperson was great. I didn't have any problems with them. I really don't have any issues. I have all the information they gave me. I received my soap from the mail in seven days. And I love the soap package. They did everything they said they were gonna do, and they did it very well and very quickly.

They had visuals and obviously they had some product demo with them, small scale whatever for what they could. And then obviously they had some visuals as well which made it somewhat easy so you could kind of get an understanding of how big it is, what you're kind of getting into and explaining sides and actually going through and discussing locations. So for me, it was very nice because being able to see okay, this is what's going to be done, this is where it will potentially go, this is where it's going to look like. Because I live in a townhouse so that's in front of my home, but they put it in front of the bushes, but it's somewhat concealed because it has got a black container, just stuff like that, where it has very well walk-through and nice visuals and demos.
The installation guy was really nice. He didn't mind answering my questions. I asked a lot of things but no, he was really nice. Unfortunately, because where they had to put the system, they weren't able to get it all in right away, so he did have to come back the next day which he promptly did and he finished it the next morning because he ran out of daylight. He was very nice.
I have a steady water. With the brand new home, I just want to make sure that I'm going to prolong the build up and prolong stuff coming in and what not, so I wanted to make sure I take care of the house and take care of us. But also, I want to make sure everything lasts longer. I had water purification system when I lived up north and that was old well water. That's one of the reasons I had it because I got it on my older home, which was not a new home when I had it but an older home. And because I enjoyed it on that system, I was inquisitive to go ahead and do it on this one as well.
They've contacted me regarding energy saving cost I think for installation of roof or something like that. I do live in a townhouse so I have to be careful with certain things. But unfortunately for them, fortunately for me, my electric bill is very low considering I live in Florida and considering I live in a townhouse that I haven't had to use the services. If something else came up, I would definitely see if it would be something that I could benefit from and if so, yeah, I would definitely go for them. Otherwise, if I don't need it, then no. I would recommend them. I had a fabulous, wonderful experience.

I'm very satisfied with it after I got rid of the chlorinator. That was nothing but a pain in the butt and a $**** every time they came up to look at it and that didn't last long. That was three or four years ago. I would rate them all fine. The only problem I had with it was that chlorinator and that was a tick little bump on there and just wouldn't hold up. After they came up several times, apart from the no charge, I told them, 'You know what, just take the darn thing. Get it out of there. It doesn't work.' And I haven't had any problem since then. I can't tell the difference with the water after it goes through the system or before it goes through the system. But I put down a brand new well at I think 140 feet and the water was just gorgeous either way. But I got the system and so I used it. I have a faucet outside before it goes into it, and I can have a glass of water there and it's good and I can have one that comes out of it that's good.
They sent a couple of guys out here. It was about 8 o'clock at night and they pretty much fluttered in by fly flight and left. I didn't have much contact at all with them but they said they'd be up that afternoon and they were true to their word. They did okay, I guess. I haven't had any major problems with the installation other than like I said that chlorinator thing. Everything else is done satisfactory and the people over there are very nice and easy to do business with. I would say they were very nice people to do business with.

Well, one of the bosses there, he grew up in my neighborhood. He was a young kid and now he's a manager. I have known him for a while. They do a good job and it cuts your electricity bill big time. I have had my attic shield for about probably a year now. I got one system over here too - $**** worth. It does a good job. I would recommend them. My experience has been fantastic. I had no problem with it.

Everything seems to go well. I had one thing that I wanted them to get back to me on, and I haven't had a chance to hear from them. I purchased their attic shield. I think it's a good product so far. I purchased it in October. It works best for the summer time so I don't really have like a definite yes or no. But I bought these products to help lower my electric bill and it has done that by maybe not by as much as they say; they guarantee 25%, which it did. But the rep was trying to promise 20%, which it did not. So the rep like underpromised, overdelivered.
I do know the people who installed it - hats off to them. They did a really great job up in the attic. I'm happy with the product. I would recommend it to a friend. It's a good product I think. My experience is weird but good.

I have nothing but good experiences with them. They come out whenever I call them and fix whatever needs to be fixed. I've been very happy with them. They service my water treatment system. They fill it with the salt and they do an annual maintenance. There's a big difference. Everything that is fixed with it, it tastes better, the tea, the coffee. It reduces skin conditions and makes your hair really soft and your clothes softer. They were very courteous, very knowledgeable. HomeMakeover Systems has a great product and they're a great company to do business with. Topnotch.
