    The previous owners of the house had Guardian Protection and we started a new contract. The people I've talked to at Guardian were very helpful. We kept the same equipment from the previous owners and the installation was great. Also, the features are very comprehensive and we plan on adding some water sensors.

    We moved in and the guy from Guardian came by my place and talked to me. He ought to have a booklet since I couldn't remember everything he said. Still, Guardian seemed to be the security company that goes with development so I went with them. However, I had a complaint that I expressed through the young man that showed me the stuff. They told me I needed all these wires I got in my bedroom but then when the Comcast man was here, he said, “They only bent these wires. They didn't use even one of them.” I've gotten six wires in my bedroom and they said that was for my HDTV. But then, I've seen several places with TVs and none of them had these wires.

    Guardian is a well-known name. Whenever I reached out to them, they were very helpful. Also, their installer was very good and patient. The features offered are fine, it is just it is either on or it is not. Once I get my garage door openers installed, I'll be contacting Guardian to add them. My place is a new place and a little isolated, and the Guardian Protection Services system helps with the sense of security.

    Guardian Protection Services was the security company provided by the builder. Everything went great with Guardian. I went to their office and the rep explained everything that Guardian offered, and I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. The customer service was great. The guy that came to install the system was really helpful and it was a good experience. I customized my system, but I wish more things were included in the package, rather than having to pay for every single thing, such as for every window sensor. When I lived in an apartment, I didn’t use a security system and I had lived my whole life before without ever having an alarm. We have a house now and having a security system, I feel like the alarm has to be on and I definitely freak out more now when I forget to put the alarm on, compared to when I didn’t have a security system.

    I’ve had Guardian for years due to the convenience of being able to do things remotely as well as the features they have. I can arm the system on my phone and that’s a nice feature. I was having trouble with one of the sensors on the door and the tech came out and put a new sensor on. He was nice and knowledgeable. But I might need another control box that is closer to the inside of my home. The one I have is closer to the garage and when it goes off, sometimes I don’t hear it when I’m in the upper part of my home.

    We built a house and the builder had Guardian. Their sales and customer service team were okay. They were not pushy. They tried to help and get me the best deal. However, I found out for the first time after having them that I need to test my system monthly. I wasn’t aware of that so that was something that was missed for sure. This was something new to me. But the rep solved it right away by calling back and taking care of it. The installation went well. They worked quickly and were very experienced people. I had a lot of questions about the best location to put my different sensor and they gave good, professional advice or opinion. I just wish they had more camera options. Nonetheless, the quality of the equipment was okay. Guardian Protection Services is good, so far. But when it comes to applying refunds back to account, it takes forever. They told me it takes three billing cycles and I didn’t like that. Other than that, it's okay.

    I did some internet research and I liked the features that the system of Guardian Protection Services offered. Plus, everyone has been very nice and my questions were answered satisfactorily. The people that did the installation were knowledgeable, asked for our preferences, set it up and showed us what we needed to know. I had one question following the setup so I called customer service and they were able to answer. I would recommend them to someone else if they were interested. In fact, my husband mentioned it to someone at work who was shopping for a system. Everything’s been fine and I haven’t had any problems so far.

    When I had gotten the house, it already had a doorbell camera from Guardian Protection Services installed. I figured it would save money on the installation to deal with them. And as I looked them up online, they seemed to be good. Jessica, their rep, was super knowledgeable and really friendly. I ended up misunderstanding something about the permit that you have to send to the sheriff’s department when you get an alarm and I thought they were paying for it. I misunderstood what she was saying but she gave me a $25 credit towards our bill submitted even though she didn’t have to. And I thought that was cool. A guy was at my house for four hours because I had gotten cameras put up and we had a hard time getting them put in. He was good.

    The system's features are cool. On my doorbell camera, you can set it so that if something comes within 30 feet, 15 feet, 10 feet or 5 feet, it will start recording. However, you can't do so on the cameras. The equipment seems to have good quality and the touchpad thing seems sturdy. I bought the system because I have a lot of musical equipment here. With it, I feel safer during the day when nobody is here. I'd tell others to go for Guardian Protection.

    Guardian had a fine sales pitch but it was also the only option offered. We were sort of pushed towards Guardian by the builder. The person who was helping us plan the outlet and the network was also selling the Guardian subscription. Ours came with three door sensors but no window sensors, and a lot of what I hear from others is window sensors. But the house came pre-installed with everything except the activation, and the activation was done in 15 minutes. It was very fast and painless. The Guardian system adds some extra security. The equipment and the app work, and I like the service. I accidentally armed the system to “away” one time and walked through the zone that is armed with the motion detector. I quickly disarmed it but they called in five seconds asking if I was okay. The response was phenomenal.

    One of the representatives from Guardian at one of the model homes discussed all the different networking capabilities and security functions of the systems. They got one of their techs once the house was closed and the security system was up and running, and the rest was history. It was pretty straightforward. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. The security is watching the home ‘cause I'm gone for most of the day. I like a certain aspect of being able to access my garage remotely from my phone. The feature to arm and disarm the system remotely is also very convenient. The smartphone features function well, though there are a few seconds' delay for the system to react.

    We initially had our conversation with Sammy who was the Guardian Protection Services sales rep. He sold us the product and we had a date that it was supposed to be turned on. Because we had a delay in our settlement date, we never had it turned on until later after the initial start-up date. They billed us based upon the start-up date and there was no activation. So, they should have aligned that, “Okay, this family has never had the system activated, so we shouldn’t be billing them.” They should’ve followed it up with a call but they didn’t. They just went ahead and sent us the bill and that was a little frustrating. But in terms of them coming out and installing everything, my wife was there with them and there didn’t seem to be any issue. And right now, everything seems to be okay.

    We haven’t had an issue and tested the system and see about them alerting the police and calling us. But I like That it is in the app, and that we can use the app to open the garage and turn on the alarm and turn it off. I didn’t like having the garage door opener in my car because I do park in a metro. Like a lot of people, you keep your registration in your car just in case your spouse or someone else uses your vehicle. Of course, if somebody breaks in your car, what are they gonna have access to? Your garage door opener and your registration where you live. So, I like that we have that app. Now, I feel a little more secure.

    However, Guardian needs to do a better job with their local offices. We initially dealt with them and then once everything was installed, we transferred over to their nationwide monitoring system. It was a little difficult dealing with their local office in terms of who to call and who to talk to to get the whole start-up. We have some furniture at the house so it feels a little more comforting to have that system on, that since we’re not there, at least we know we'll be alerted if something does happen.

    Guardian reps came out and walked through the system with us. The system was done before we moved in, it came with the house. And the features are fine. I could open and close remotely through my phone, then I get emails and they wound up going to my spam which is great. So, those email are separated out from everything else. It also tells me who the person is because I assigned the code to somebody else and I could see when he would come in versus us.

    I live in a new build and Guardian was recommended by the builders. Guardian's service was well done. I have no complaints. The only thing is that, I am having a little problem with my garage door and the earliest appointment that they could get scheduled for me to address it was the 21st. I felt like that could’ve been done a little quicker. Other than that, everything's fine. The features of the system make me feel safe. I'm in a brand new state and area so psychologically, I feel that getting Guardian was the right move for me.

    I had used ADT before having Guardian Protection Services and it appears that they are too different. Guardian is more home automation while ADT was for home security. Guardian's rep was very good and very knowledgeable. He told us what we needed to do, walked us all through the steps and how the system works. He worked with me well and I was very pleased with his customer service. The installation team was very good too. They went through the steps, what I needed to know about how to activate the system. They explained to me how the system works in various scenarios. My Guardian security system has door lock, garage door opener and speakers. The music system, those were new to me and the installer was very well-versed in explaining those features to me. Since having Guardian in our home, I felt very secure.

    I used to have a different home security provider but where I live now, all the homes have Guardian so I have it too. It's of the same arrangement with my previous one, with the keypad and the way it's turned on and off. It’s all the same except I love the security cameras that I have now. However, I need their guys to come back out and put a contact on a window we missed. Having set the whole thing up over the phone, I wasn’t really looking at the plan and I was relying a lot on Guardian to make some recommendations since they have been through it. But it’s my front window which is at the street level that doesn’t have a contact. Another thing, I would've liked to have a keypad at my other convenient spot because right now there’s only one keypad. Fortunately though, I can control the system from my phone, so it’s not a big deal. And it's really convenient. I like that Guardian's service people have been really responsive too.

    However, as we set things up in a hurry because of my schedule, I wasn't able to meet their team in person. They did try to get me to come in but I was too busy. I probably would not do that again and I should have taken more time to be more thoughtful about what I wanted to have done. And the other thing is, they asked for this so far in advance. I started talking to them in June and I just closed not even a month ago. So it’s just a long period of time to ask me to start thinking about that before I had done any walk-throughs. So I would have preferred to have it closer to the time when I could have walked through, to talk about what kind of security I wanted.

    Everything's been good with Guardian, except I have an issue with one of the items. They set up an appointment to set up my door lock with the keypad, but when the technician came in, they didn’t have a lock, which was stupid. Then they scheduled me a different appointment, and they came over to fix it. A few days later, I developed a little problem with the internet. It wasn’t working right, so I called up for another appointment. They said it would come last Saturday, then on Friday I got a call. They said they had to cancel it and reschedule three weeks away, which I said was not really fair. So, I called the technician privately on his private phone, and he came over. It seems to be working now, but it’s still not working well. The light is blinking and they’re telling me it could be a bad battery. I said, “How could it be a bad battery? It was a brand new lock.”

    I called Guardian back again and they wanted to give me the beginning of June, which I said was not right. If I go out and get this lock from a store or anyone else, they would not give me this runaround. It could be that the lock was in the showroom for God knows how long and I got an old one. But I don’t even know how to change the battery. It’s not that simple. You have to open it up and I’m afraid to do it myself for the first time. If I lock it with a pin, the code works. But if somebody was to ring the doorbell in the front and I wanted to open the door for someone, I could not do it. I even spoke to the sales office yesterday and they have models of homes that use their locks, and they told me the same thing, which was that the locks have issues at times.

    First, the one star is for their business practices. BUYER BEWARE when you sign the contract. Story time... The first house we had them in, everything was free upfront, and we signed a 36 month contract. FREE, everything was FREE!!! Signed their contract and when we sold our house and moved 33 months later, we wanted to carry their services over to our new rental home. They offered to just charge me an install fee of (around $79 or so) and renew my contract (mind you, I only had a few months left on my first home contract of 36 months). So ok, NP, it's a few bucks, just renew and install all new stuff (which THEY RECOMMENDED because they wanted the new resident of my first home to pick up their services). So, no issues thus far into our second home/contract with them.

    Well, we have moved again and because we have bought our forever home and we were only at the second residence for 14 months. I call them up to, again to relocate services and I still have 22 months left on my contract, but like last time, I’m just going to renew and sign the contract, pay an install fee and get new equipment again; not much different than the last move, right?? GUESS WHAT? MY INSTALL FEE IS NOW??? EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($800)!!! AND THAT’S WITH A 60 MONTH CONTRACT. I didn’t even ask what the 36 month contract cost was.

    That’s right, from free, to $79 to $800… I’ll let you decide how you feel about how this played out. The second home install was so cheap because they knew if they charged me anything ridiculous, I was just going to pay out the monthly monitoring fee of $40 a month, which would have been $120 and PEACE OUT!! Now that I have 22 months left, 22x50 (monthly fee) would be $1100. So, they figure, “We’ll charge him so much because he will either pay the $750 to get out of the contract or the $800 to continue raping him for 5 years.” I was absolutely floored when that $ figure came out of the rep's mouth. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet, but this had to be said publicly. And my situation is not a unique one either.

    When my husband was living, he caught himself on fire in his machine shop. We also had a gun shop in the basement of our home. Several people had said Guardian was always there and they were good and they were understanding if your alarm went off and you didn’t get to it, so that’s why we picked it. We’ve had it for several years and they just put a new system in because my home line is wireless. The new installation process was the same as the last. It has another box on there as a wireless and the features offered in my system are fine. I’ve been very ill and I had major surgery right after my husband passed away about over a year ago and I almost didn’t make it. The rep understood my situation and when this gentleman came in, I sort of briefed him on what was going on and he was very kind and considerate. He did what he needed to do, did his job well, thanked me and left. So, I was pleased.

    It appears quotations are available for new homes BUT I wanted an approximate quotation for an existing home that I was purchasing and Guardian was totally incapable of providing anything. They state that a visit is needed. I fail to understand their stance as another company was able to do a telephone interview on my security needs and give an adequate quote. I find it is very difficult to work with Guardian.

    Guardian Alarm (which is a separate company from Guardian Protection Services headquartered in Pennsylvania) is big in Michigan so I wonder if this consumer is mistaken on which Guardian he spoke to.

    It is standard practice for our sales reps to offer an in home appointment if in a branch area, which Michigan is not, so our reps would not have offered an in home visit and would’ve quoted over the phone if he actually talked to us.

    A lot of my family members use Guardian Protection Services. Their customer representatives have always been very helpful. I called them a few times about billings and to set up the initial appointment and they always did what I needed. Their installer came on time and he showed me everything that I needed. He was very well trained and knowledgeable of the system and Guardian in general.

    I like all the features of my system and I wasn't aware that there was an app, so I really like that the installer showed me that and I can do and check a lot on my phone. I'm one of those few people that like to double check that their alarm is on or the fact that if I needed to turn it off from my phone for somebody who doesn’t know the code, I can do that as well. The system came with more than I expected. Also, equipment quality is very good. I feel very safe with Guardian knowing that at any time something is wrong I could use the keypad and know that my house is protected even when I'm not there. I highly recommend Guardian Protection Services. It's the most up to date with technology system that I personally ever had experience or did research with.

    We used Comcast at our old house, then we built a new house and Guardian Protection Services was recommended by the builder. Both have good service but the technicians for Comcast are easier to reach. I’ve had a hard time reaching the guy who set me up with the Guardian so I had to ask my questions in order to disclose that it was a five-year contract. The five-year contract thing is a very big deal and they should definitely explain that to people. I wouldn't have an issue with it if I would have known. It seemed like it was thrown in there.

    The initial sales rep is always great when they start selling the product but then after that I can't get in contact with anybody. I had to call the builder before I moved in and got them to call directly to get the person to call me. Now the issue was more with the salesperson and not the technician. The technician was okay. The installation issue was that they required me to have some type of wireless provider beforehand. However, they didn't communicate with the wireless providers so what they've set up in my house was not feasible for Verizon. I had to go back and forth three times with them and Verizon, trying to figure out where the plugs were, why the plug was here and what didn't work. It was a service depending on another service but they didn't communicate with the one providing the original service.

    If they ever want me to find a wireless provider, they should have some type of relationship with these providers so that I don't have to be the middle person to tell them to set it up like this and that they need it like that. That's not my job. But the guy that set up the system was really good at showing me how to do the customizing. He let me know about the app and the online thing. I can tailor what I wanted to do, so that was good. However, the equipment is outdated. I work in technology and Comcast has way better equipment. The look and feel of Guardian’s equipment are just old.

    I have a huge camera on my porch and no one wants a huge camera on their porch. There has to be smaller equipment. I've seen the screen pad when I was a child, while Comcast has a touchscreen one. The technology is old for the price that we paid for this. Nonetheless, I love it. Guardian calls if my alarm goes off, although the alarm system itself doesn’t give me a sense of security. But the monitoring team is amazing and better than Comcast. They call if I had a question. A guy even called me back the next day to check up. I would definitely recommend it.

    I bought a new house and I had to have a home security system. I was told that Guardian Protection Services was who I had to go with, so I did. When the system was first explained to me, when I needed to pick which sensors I wanted before it was built, their reps never said that there was gonna be a two-way speaker in my house, that my privacy was going to be violated from the get-go. That wasn't explained to me until Rey, who installed the system, mentioned it. Their rep, Kyle, was supposed to send me paperwork so that this two-way box would be deactivated. I'm about to rip it off but he said that it was not being monitored.

    Rather than providing me peace of mind, all it has done is stress me out, knowing that someone could be listening when they're not supposed to. Rey was friendly and personable, and he walked me through everything. Now, it's been a week and I have not set the alarm since Rey left. I don't even know how to use it even now. I would have to call. So, I just close all doors and windows, press 2 then call, then press. I'd have to sit here and then play with it and hope that the Fire Department don't get to call. So far, they haven't sent me paperwork. It would have been nice if during the sales part they would walk me through the features because nobody ever mentioned anything about a two-way speaker that someone is gonna talk to me inside my home. It would have been nice to know that from the get-go.

    The person from Guardian who I interacted with, even before my house was built, was Chandler and he was knowledgeable. I called him up quite often and he was very prompt, courteous and able to resolve most of the issues, even after the installation. I'm happy with all the interactions that I had with Guardian. Also, the installation was seamless. The only problem that I had with the installation, and maybe it was my fault, was about my garage and my thermostat. The tech wasn't able to attach them to Guardian because he said I had already connected them to smart things and so he couldn't take it off and put it back to Guardian. I have an appointment for tomorrow just to get this resolved. But apart from that problem there were no major issues.

    The features in my system were good as well. I am happy that I have been able to integrate it with Alexa. As soon as my garage and the thermostat are hooked up, I will be all set. Also the smartphone features are good. However, I would want the doorbell to be less sensitive because even if I just put it at the minimum level of sensitivity, it still records about 36 to 37 clips in a 12-hour period. Nevertheless, having Guardian Protection Services in my home makes us feel secure especially since I have heard a couple of cases in my neighborhood where they were broken into in a couple of houses.

    The sales rep from Guardian Protection Services was helpful so it was good and the installer was prompt, efficient, showed me how to do everything and answered all my questions. He knew what he was talking about. He has been in the industry for about 20 years and he told me that it was the latest and greatest of the apps technology so that was cool. The installation went smoothly and it was perfectly fine but I noticed that during construction, somebody set up one of the ethernet ports incorrectly. So, I need to call them back and have them double-check it and rewire it. But other than that, it was positive, professional and well-done.

    It’s easier to use the app than having to manually deal with the keypad and being able to control the thermostat from the same app are both nice. It’s a basic security system but it’s good quality and it’s exactly what I would expect. As long as it does its job and doesn’t set off any false alarm, it’s fine. I arm it every single day and I use it much more frequently, especially because of the app. If I'm walking up to my car, I'll just arm the system and that's it. So, it's easier to utilize and I feel like my security has gone up. It’s a straightforward system and moderately priced compared to other security systems so I’d tell my friends to go for it.

    The two Guardian reps that we had dealt with were good. There was a bit of confusion because of two different people working on our system but they fixed everything that was wrong and they finished it pretty quick, so it was good. We had the Guardian system installed in our brand-new home before we actually moved in. We like the features offered in our system and I used the phone thing all the time. But it would have been nice to have that doorbell camera so I can see from my phone who’s at my house before I open the door. They offered that but I didn’t get it because of the price.

    We haven’t used the pad at all as it’s easier going on my phone and arming it and disarming it. That’s a good thing, and we really like the smartphone use. We know when we go to bed at night if there’s something there or if anybody tries to get in. But we’re in a pretty good area, so we aren't ever too worried about it. Everything is going great and we’re happy with what we got so far. We’d recommend Guardian Protection Services.

    My dad has Guardian and he referred it to me. We had their sales guy come out and he came with everything. Then and there we wanted to have a system as we were then moving into our house. And so, they scheduled for the tech to come out and install it. Then he did the work and it was amazing. It took a little bit to try to get it on because of finding the wall direction to put it. Ours was the first one the tech would be putting, so he was like learning as he was going, which I didn't mind. It took a while longer than expected but he was nice and he was going through everything as he was installing it. And since having it installed, I definitely feel more secure.

    I got a package with the glass break that was included in the panel, which was cool because I didn’t have to get it separately. And then, we love the doorbell so we wanted that too. I also wanted a camera in the back but it was so much at that time so we couldn’t get it. They just gave us a good payment on what we could get for now and then they explained that we could add more parts on to it later on. But the equipment that we have now, we totally love it. And it's nice knowing that the alarms were on. We've had a couple of incidents where we left the door open then the alarm went off, and they were really quick to respond. So, we are enjoying it a lot so far.

    Plus, I love the phone features too. If we forget to do something when we're in a rush, I can do it on my phone. I know how to delete videos from my phone one by one, but I don't know if there's an option to delete all because we have a lot of videos in there. I don't know if I should go online to the website and delete it. Nonetheless, I've already referred Guardian to some people and I told them about the quick installation and great customer service. Also, that the set up was easy and the reps didn’t ask a bunch of questions. And the price was good too.

    I bought a house from Ryan Homes and they worked with Guardian Protection Services through their trustees. They offered the option so I talked to them and it was good. The sales reps were very helpful and the technician was great. He explained everything and showed me how to do things. In the security system that I got, it’s good that from my phone, I can control everything and I can also close and open the garage. So far, everything is good except for the patio door. It has been hitting around two days in a row and right now, I just bypass that door until they send a technician out to check. When I’m gone, I do the away mode and then I feel safe. The sense of security is great and I would recommend Guardian to friends if they ask about it. I would tell them about the experience I had and that operating it is easy and common sense.

    Guardian was paired with the builder and I feel a little bit more comfortable when I can communicate through one person with everybody. It’s a little bit easier that way. I also did a little bit of research on Guardian and they seemed like a reputable company. And when I met with the rep in person, he seemed to be able to answer all of my questions and provide the answer I was looking for. I got a phone call about the installation about a month before we were going to close but I told I was gonna call them back. So I made a phone call about two days after I closed and we scheduled something within a month which was reasonable.

    When the guy came out, he was on-time and very professional. I liked him. He was friendly and he seemed to get everything working. There was a little hiccup but it added like 15 minutes to the installation time. It was no big deal. He gave me some basic dos and don’ts, and what would be the best setting to use if we're in the house and if we're away. He walked me through it, showed me what happens if the alarm goes off and told me what to do, how to call the police from the pad and how to change my code. He even helped me pair it up to my phone then to my wife’s phone. Overall, he did a great job.

    The smartphone features seem to work pretty smoothly. But it was a little difficult to set up at first. I didn't really mind though, because if it’s a little difficult for me to set up and I know what I’m doing, I feel like it might be a little bit harder for someone to steal it or to break into it. So I liked it. Besides, it was very easy to add my wife’s account on once the guy explained to me what I was doing. The smartphone app is very intuitive once you get it set up.

    The system is pretty straightforward and I feel good about the quality. I like that I can pair it up to a couple of different things in my house. I did not realize I can even pair it up to some porch lights and that was cool. The only problem I have so far with Guardian is I try to sign up for my account online to pay my invoice that way. But it wouldn’t catch my address for whatever reason but I’m gonna give it another try. Overall, it was a painless setup and a good experience. Now, there's more peace of mind when my wife and daughter are there and I’m not around. That’s the biggest thing.

    Guardian Protection installed all low voltage wiring in our house. Then sometime last year, their rep and I went over our options for our home security system. We have gotten the basic system and I have a lot of other things that I've added on personally but I got what I wanted. Then the installer came, set everything up and turned it all on. He was great, efficient, and effective. He's got done and got out. Everything went well and didn't take up much of my time. There was a little snafu though, but nothing too major. For some reason, they put everything in the ceiling when they installed the surround sound system. We had eventually gotten it fixed, but it was very strange that their default was in the ceiling.

    The smartphone features are also easy to use and helpful when I forget to set the alarm when we walk out the door, which is every day. The system works perfectly for me too. It has helped me feel more secure. I moved from an apartment with controlled entry to a house, and it's nice to have that extra layer that we lost when we moved. But in hindsight, we probably would have done more security stuff on our own.

    Guardian Protection Services happened to be one of the providers the builder allowed from the construction so I ended up going to them but I have no regrets and they have been good so far. The installer who came was very nice and he took care of our new house. While he was installing, he was careful and the folks that I got were very friendly and they explained everything well.

    I have been using it for two weeks now and the quality of Guardian's equipment and the app itself were good as well as the price and the service. Home security offers peace of mind when you're living with kids, so that’s always a plus. I have the features that I needed so I'm good. But nine of the cameras went offline so I kept getting a text message that the modem device didn’t connect. They just go offline and come back on and I was meaning to call Guardian about that. Also, the cameras they installed were not the 360. It gives you just one area so if the company is looking for improvement, 360 cameras are much better. Some other providers have the ones that attach to the roof which are the ones that has the 360 angle so Guardian should offer those.

I closed on the house a month ago and they were good in prorating and activating the bill only till I moved a month later. They said everything will be back footed and my money will be refunded back. The installer finished his part and walked me through what has to be done. It was seamless and it was good. I'm moving in so it's settling and it's too much work so all I’m doing is arming and disarming as of now. The doorbell feature was good, but not really useful. The security features are okay but I have to explore more. The quality of the equipment is good, the infrastructure is there and Guardian is a reputable company so, I wouldn't have to worry about the security of my kids.

    Guardian Protection Services was one of the preferred options through the builder. The installation tech arrived at the time he said he was gonna arrive. He was really nice, very knowledgeable and very professional. He explained how to use the service and he walked me through everything so that was very helpful. I did like him and the customer service that he provided.

    He installed a few pieces of equipment such as the sensor, which he installed in the pantry on the second level. He also activated the actual security tap which is in the basement floor. The installation only took about 30 minutes. And then, he started walking me through the website, installing the apps and how to pay. That may have been about another 15 minutes. Overall, the entire process was very positive.

    All of these are new to me and the features are really good. I really like the fact if I have an intruder, I have the ability to put in a different code which alerts the police system. The Guardian's smartphone features are also good. The fact that you can access, disarm and arm your alarm system through the app is definitely convenient. They also have an extensive amount of features that you can add on and I can't think of anything I would want to add that they don't already have. I would recommend them.

    Guardian got a deal with the association complex that I moved into so I went with them for my home security system. Everyone from the person who did the preliminary setup for the wiring for the home security system and some of the wiring while the house was being constructed to the gentleman who came out and activated everything had been outstanding.

    The installers were professional and very detailed. They provided a walkthrough of everything when it was completed. They had me set up, armed and disarmed, deactivate, download the app and showed me all the ins and the outs of the system. The installers were informative and very helpful. They answered all my questions. Everything about the smartphone features that I’ve done has been fantastic. It was a very simple download. The use, interface and execution are very streamlined. When they came to set up the system, I did not have cable or internet yet, so they told me that I was gonna have to call the 1800 number once I got cable and internet connection and then they could set up the final motion sensor on the garage door.

    So far, I’m very pleased with the home security system, the installation and the activation of the air conditioning unit and the temperature control of the house. I’ve only been in the house for a week but at this point, I certainly have no complaints. I talked to the gentlemen about the installation of the lights and locks that are z-wave compatible so that I could hook those up to the system as well because of the simplicity of it.

    Having Guardian certainly makes me feel secure. It’s the first house that I’ve ever owned so it’s the first time that I’ve lived with the security system, but the diligence and the repetitive nature of setting it at night and setting it when I leave the house is a good habit to have in general. As safe as the neighborhood is and as safe as things have or can be in the area that I live in, it’s never a bad idea to be overly cautious and protective. Guardian puts a good sense of peace and security into general, everyday living. It's certainly well-worth the investment.

    We had a security system before but this was a new build so we didn’t have one at this particular location. We got some other quotes but Guardian was the one who was recommended by the builders and so, we talked with them. We liked the quote, their features and what they had to offer. All the newer security system providers offer some of this thing but they still don’t have everything. Also, a lot of the other companies had basic packages but you couldn’t really fine tune it for exactly what you wanted. And what we wanted was that we didn’t have to buy everything to get certain features and that we could break the package down.

    Guardian's professionalism was much better compared to my previous company and in my experience, with the questions that we’ve had, their customer service was very personable. I actually talked to a person and they walked me through what I needed to know, so that made a big difference to us. The installation team did a lot of it before we moved in but a lady came out and did the final install and she showed us how to use the system, download the app, and get online. She was super helpful, quick and considerate. She also gave good feedback and helpful tips. When we told her some ideas that we have had for the feature or what we were thinking, she was able to guide us and gave us options to look at and think about. So, she was very knowledgeable as well.

    So far, we like the quality of the equipment. I set the alarm with the phone and I deactivate it. Guardian gives us a sense of peace that the alarm is set and that anything from fire to whatever is going to be taken care of without coming home and not knowing that something has happened. I recommend that my friends talk with Guardian because they know their products and their customer service is awesome. They listen to what your needs are and then find what you actually want without trying to upsell you. They offer the other things but it’s not high pressure.

    The builder referred me to Guardian Protection Services and everybody in their team was good. They were professional, polite and answered all my questions. One other guy was great. He installed everything just the way I wanted it and it was a good experience. The features in the system are awesome.     The sales representative from Guardian Protection came out and was helpful and supportive. Everything went great. The installer did a good job too. The only thing that was a mess was the salesperson was talking about setting the keypad by the front door and I found that they fixed a wire to an outlet that was under the struts, and so the installer came out and extended a wire right down the wall to the electrical outlet so we just had him come back after I got the wire set up. That was the deal. Other than that, everything's good. The app is very easy to use and my sense of security has improved since having the system. Their price and service are good too.

    We were dissatisfied with our previous provider and we asked around to some of our friends and neighbors. They recommended Guardian, so we gave them a call. The gentleman came out and talked about them and we decided to give them a try. Compared to the provider I had, Guardian is superior. We have Guardian for 13 years now. Every interaction I've had with people has been very positive. Everybody's been very nice, pleasant, and professional and all they wanna do is help us with our security system. I like the equipment that Guardian provides. We had the original stuff for seven years and they came out about six years ago and put in some new equipment. We got some wireless contacts and did a little bit more stuff that was more technically advanced at that point.

    They came out again a couple of months ago and did a tech refresh on our system so that we're up-to-speed with the latest equipment and I'm satisfied with their equipment. The new system that we have offers some of the features that we didn't have before up to and including a wireless doorbell camera, and it was a deciding factor for us. They've also updated a lot of their smoke and heat detection systems. The features that we enjoy are the convenience of the online system, the ability to monitor everything online and generally the modern aspects that they are providing. The alarm.com app feature seems to be a sweet little thing to have, too. We may have had it on our older system and didn't know about it. But now that we do know about it, my wife and I are very enthusiastic about it.

    Guardian Protection Services is a lot better than the system I had and a lot more simplified. When the sales rep came, he told me about the steps and the process but I wasn’t expecting to get hit with a bill four days after my estimation and so I called customer service. The interaction with the customer service rep went well and how the billing cycle works was explained to me. I had two cameras installed and the main board and the installation was pretty cool which took them only three hours. They sorted what the old system was and even removed the old mainframe. The technicians were excellent and professional. They told me what they needed to do, what they were doing, why they were doing it and explained to me how it works.

    I like the features and I can turn my garage open and closed because I've seen that when I was playing with the mobile app. The smartphone features are pretty neat and I can monitor who’s coming in and out without a major fuss about it. They give me a notification that it’s been armed and disarmed but I don’t really need one every time somebody opens or closes a door or what passed in the sensor. Still, it’s good and I like it very much. My wife loves it also because I have two relatives that live close by and they’d stop and so she can tell that I ain’t there when I didn’t open the door. If I have friends looking into home security, I would tell them that it's a very simple system to use and real secure.

    We've purchased our first home and Guardian Protection Services is one of the companies that the builders use. I attended other companies' presentations, but I was just very happy and satisfied with the way Guardian Protection's salesperson explained how it would work so we just went ahead with them. Their reps have been very helpful too. The gentleman who came in and installed the system was wonderful. He explained everything in detail from beginning to end and there was no question left unanswered. I was also very pleased with my understanding on how to use the system.

    Additionally, the features I have are good and very simple. I've never used an alarm system before and I'm very pleased with the one I have now. It's very easy to use. I also use the smartphone feature to turn the system on and off, and being that I'm not that tech-savvy, it was very easy to understand and to use. I would have liked the video on the doorbell to be included though. But, the quality of the system is good. I feel safe having Guardian Protection's security system. I would recommend them to whoever would ask me about them because my experiences were great. They're an awesome company. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely get them again if I was to buy a second home.

    I had a good experience with the reps from Guardian. I called and they came out right away and met with us. They walked us through what the system was, what they provided and what the costs were. Given the equipment that they were able to provide as well as the cost structure, it made sense that we get their service. The experience during installation was good as well. The guy who came out was professional and he told us what he was doing. He wasn’t there very long. He pulled all the stuff in and got us up and running. Our system has done everything we wanted to do and it's got good features like the ones for the smartphone.

    However, there are a couple of things that I was hoping that they were able to do. It has a Geo-fence feature so it lets us know once we get a certain distance away from the house if the alarm is not armed. So, my hope was that I’d be able to get a reminder like when I’m driving home like, “Hey, don’t forget your alarm is armed.” Still, the system's good overall and really easy to use. I would definitely tell anyone interested to consider Guardian.

    I had Guardian in my old home. My account manager, who I was dealing with, was incredibly responsive. He worked to get me the equipment and the installation that I needed. I was building a new home and I never had any issues if I needed to add anything. He was definitely on top of it and helped me get exactly what I needed. The customer service went a long, long way as well. My sales rep went over and beyond to get our business. She was fantastic and amazing. I even have her number where I would call her for about anything. I got a call one day that somebody was coming out to do the final installation. We had scheduled that day and then I had to cancel because we weren't ready for it yet. And for some reason, it didn't get through the technician but he was heading out here. I got the voicemail and I'm trying to figure out who to call quickly. I called the rep, she handled it and got me rescheduled for the right time.

    The installation was also fine. The installers came out and hard wired the home before the drywall got put in. And then they had to come back out and activate the system after the drywall. We've had a couple of minor issues where a contact fell off on one window and another one fell off or it never got put on. Regardless, when I called them, Guardian sent me the two contacts and then no other questions asked.

    Also, the features of the system are great. We love the app. We love the ability to set my alarm whether I'm home or not. My only request or suggestion would be, and they may have this now, but I know that other security companies have the option to do the smart home. Having Alexa and Echo upgradeable to arm your alarm of the smart home system would be an advantage. Nevertheless, the overall functionality of the system is great. I feel secure. It's funny because it's potentially a little bit more sensitive which I like. I have a window break sensor in one of my windows in the bathroom. Not that it goes off, but I can hear the beep sometimes when the cabinet door is shoved a little harder. It breaks that sensor but there are no issues. It just took me a moment to figure out what that was.

    I've used Guardian Protection Services before, stopped for a little while, and then I went back to them. The equipment was already installed in my house. We've spent a good chunk of money on it but I couldn’t afford the monthly payments, so I stopped using it back then. The first rep that I spoke with was very helpful and she took her time in explaining a lot of things to me which I did appreciate. Also, the gentleman that came out and did the install was very polite and kind. However, I had a disagreement on the location of something, so I called someone else telling them that I didn’t feel that the equipment was going to be beneficial to me because of the location of the install in regards to how my house was positioned. So, Guardian opted to change my contract or my order to provide me with an additional item for basically the same cost and then it suited that concern about that blind spot. Guardian definitely did what they needed to do to help with that.

    However, although I upgraded to the fastest internet to be able to see the cameras in real time, I still have that problem with the cameras from time to time. It takes a long time to load. And I'm paying a lot of money for this equipment and I'm paying more for my internet now. Yet I have troubles sometimes even using my service because it doesn’t download in real time. We ordered pizza and my son and I had been watching this tracker if we could see the pizza guy as he was going up. We saw the driveway cam and then by the time that we switched to the front door cam to try to see him walking up, in the time that it took for him to walk from the car to the front door, it was still loading. Furthermore, the camera didn’t even load the image again until about five minutes after he left.

    Nevertheless, everybody at Guardian was pretty professional and helpful during my experience. The reason why I did all the necessary reinstall or upgrades was we had a break-in and the people that have been working with us have been very compassionate about the situation. They were very helpful answering the questions or any kind of problems we've had, so I can't complain about Guardian at all except for that delay. I've had a good experience with Guardian Protection Services and I would definitely recommend them.

    The interaction I had with the rep of Guardian when I was deciding what to get was good in a way but what got installed in my house was totally different than what we spoke with the rep. I had a fight with Guardian because they didn’t install the proper things that they promised me. The rep whom I spoke to left the company and my account was given to someone else. He just sent me an email saying that if I approve it, they could go ahead and install. And I said that I was fine with it because I had something in mind, so I thought that he might have covered everything. However, he didn’t. I had everything in the email. I was not thinking that I would have to pay anything because I had all the proofs but I still had to pay something to get the things right.

    The security system is working fine. But when I tested the speakers, they tend to crack when I tried to hear in a loud volume, which I didn’t see when I signed up the speakers right at the model home. I did jack up the volume too high and it was sounding okay at that time, but at my place, I noticed a few disturbance at the back when I hear the speakers. Overall, it was not so great dealing with Guardian. But the guy who came to activate the service was very generous upon trying to give me products at a cheaper rate. But I didn’t want to break holes in my wall again.

    Guardian Protection Services did everything that they said they were going to do, so everything went smoothly. In addition, they’ve been very cooperative. Not only did they do the security work, but they also did the installation of a surround sound system and wired everything prior to having the sheetrock up. My only issue is between the brand-new TV from Best Buy and the wiring from Guardian. When I turn the television on I have to change everything right away. Meaning, I’m not getting the surround sound just by turning the TV on, which is what it should do. Every time I want to use it, I have to reset until the speakers work.

    I paid to have this all done behind sheetrock so this has to be corrected now. So far, everything with the Guardian company has been fine and they’re going out of their way to help me. The guy who sold it to me keeps coming back in and ordering other items to make it work and trying different wiring as far as plugging it in. He brought me an optical wire. He tried hooking it up and did everything correctly, but it’s not doing what he said it would do. We’re going to have to find out what is defective and fix the problem, but that seems to be on the TV end at this point. In addition, I was listing a rubber bumper on a subwoofer and he exchanged the whole subwoofer. He was exceptional.

    The features of Guardian's system were very good. I can open the door with an app. If someone came to visit while I'm not there, I can unlock the door. The neighbor also Guardian put in too. The guy came to explain everything to him and he seemed to be happy with it. Guardian went way above to help with everything that I needed and to satisfy my needs.

    I had Guardian in a previous home I lived in. When I moved, I called, checked them out, and got my system re-set up. I have an issue with some of my sensors that don't stick. They shake off of the doors from going open and closed, then I have to re-stick them. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with everything that came with it. Also, they called me every time my alarm went off, let me know if I needed anything, and if they needed to send anybody out. I’ve been happy with my service so far. I haven’t had too many problems and the ones that I did have, they took care of them in a nice and timely manner. So I'm satisfied and enjoying their service.

    When we moved into the house in Pflugerville, there was a rep that came to our house and explained the whole Guardian Protection Services. The sales and customer service representatives at Guardian have been great and easy to contact. Kevin helped me move the service that I had at the house over in Pflugerville over to the current house with little to hardly any cost and no headaches. He helped me disable the modernizing for the old house and bringing it to the new house and it’s been wonderful working with him. We love the features in the system. We didn’t have the glass break and because we live out in the country sometimes, we get vacationers coming out there to the lake and we live close to the lake. So, we wanted some extra security and the technician explained everything, and he was very informative and convinced us to add that feature in.

    We’re very pleased with how our Guardian is. The technician and everybody else has helped us out. The security equipment is sturdy. It hasn’t failed on us and it’s very easy to use. I use the smartphone features all the time and they’re very intuitive, very easy, and no hassle. We sleep easier at night now.     Guardian Protection's sales team was great. They weren’t pushy and overselling their product. They met us and told us everything that was available and that they could do. They asked what we were looking for and they got the stuff that we wanted. It was great. The installer was awesome. He came in, got everything hooked up, and walked us through everything.

    The quality of the equipment is good and I like the smartphone features. They're very convenient. There's only been one time where we left the house and I went on my phone to the app and armed it, and then later in the day, I went to disarm it before we got home and it said, “Disarmed already”. I'm not sure if I just hit the button or if it wasn’t responding when I did it the first time and I hit it twice, so it armed it and disarmed right away. Other than that, although I'm still trying to figure everything out, like when I want to use stuff or when I don’t, and I would have liked it if we could customize it a little bit more instead of just get what was offered, the system's features are good. I don’t really worry about anything anymore. There's a construction going on around the house too, but I'm not really worried about any of the workers doing anything.

    We had a Guardian Protection Services security system at work and I got my first security system for my home from them, too. They were the company that the previous owners of this property had. I saw the sign and I figured if it was their system, it might be a little simpler to go with them. The sales rep was possibly the best part. He was very polite, very patient and very knowledgeable about the different services that they offer. He didn’t have to transfer me to anyone until I decided to sign up.

    The installers originally thought that they might be able to activate the security system remotely, but they weren’t able to do that so they sent out a technician. He was reasonably polite and prompt. He let me know what he was gonna do first before he started to work so I was not surprised by anything. He walked me through to the sensors that he was gonna install and it was straightforward from there. It was relatively quick as well and took maybe a half hour.

    This is the first system I had for my home so I’m pleasantly surprised so far. However, I was a little disappointed when I called to ask for additional sensors. They quoted me a pretty large price. And then on top of that, they suggested that it was negotiable and that would depend on how long of a commitment I would make towards their company, so I didn’t particularly like that. In the end, I decided not to go through with that. I almost felt manipulated into a commitment.

    I like Guardian’s smartphone features a lot. They have more features on the website when you sign in there, but the features that they have on the phone are very convenient. I can walk out and activate the alarm from my car. Every time the door opens, I’m notified, so it’s cool. So far, the overall functionality and performance of our system have been great, although I’m still thinking about whether or not I would want to stick with this particular provider. But I like the system a lot. I live in a sketchy neighborhood so I become very conscious of when certain noises are made. But with this particular system, it’s nice to know exactly where the person is. If someone opens a door and I ask where it is, the system will say window or bedroom door. It’s very precise.

    We got a newly built home and Guardian came with the house being pre-installed. The system has everything that I'm used to. They're good features and we're good with what we have. We were using Protection 1 before which had almost the same features. There's a different panel but other than that, everything else is the same from the phone standpoint.     We had a security system before but we didn't get a plan for it for somebody to monitor it. We could set it and it would make a little noise if somebody was to open that door. But then after a period of time, it didn't work anymore. We moved from California to Texas and I had read some things that there was a lot of crime here, so I was really nervous about it. KB had Guardian when we built the home, and Guardian was going to put in the outlets for the cable and they do that in spring. So, we had the opportunity to talk to the rep. My husband looked into ADT and Guardian and compared them, and we went with Guardian since it was easier. They had him go to the studio to make all of the selections, which was convenient. Because I'm in a different place now, having Guardian makes a difference.

    The installer was really good. He was very patient. We could see him and what he was doing, and before he left, he made sure I understood everything and went through it. He also helped me with the Real app on my phone. The first one we put on wasn't working right, and he said that's not the one that he uses. We also had a little bit of a hiccup about the payment but the reps told me they weren't gonna take it for a certain period of time. We closed on the 12th and we didn't move in here 'till the 27th, but we had Guardian come and turn this thing on the 13th. I wanted to do an automatic payment, but I didn't want to change my address with my charge card yet because I had other things that I was doing and I didn't want to mix it up. They went ahead and charged which turned out to be okay. They were really nice about it. They also told me not to worry about it if something happened and it came back.

    Guardian Protection Services was the first home security system that we used. We went with them because they’re the only ones who could hardwire the system in the house at the same time we were building it so we didn’t have a choice. If I had to go with anybody else, it would have to be wireless. The sales guy gave us good ideas like where to put stuff and things. He helped us out a lot for us understand how to use the products and what is best to put where.

    I use the smartphone features which came in handy for me. The quality of the equipment and the system's features are good. I like them except for the keypad. They said that they were gonna have a new one released sometime in a couple of months -- the digital one that you can use like a touchscreen. We had a little problem with trying to communicate to try to upgrade the keypad. It was hard to get in touch with the location we needed to talk to. But overall, having Guardian Protection Services in our home definitely makes us feel safer when we go to bed.

    I have been a happy Guardian customer for years until now. I was interested in a video doorbell added to my Guardian services. After 2 requests, before they called me back, they told me I had to "upgrade" my present system - which was crap. I had just upgraded a year or two ago due to a storm. Tech arrived but couldn't install doorbell video but yet he "upgraded" my system. I was told no charge and he gave me a receipt to show it. Then, several weeks later, I received a $99.00 bill for the "upgraded" system. I called and ended up with a $99.00 bill and no video or new doorbell! Just another bill!!! Don't call Guardian for extra services! I have emailed, called and spoke to Supervisor to no avail. Can't wait till my contract expires so I can get rid of this "not customer oriented" company.

The smartphone features are good too, but the ringing's a little loud when you're going in and out. But the system has given me a better sense of security.     I just bought the house and my loan officer said that Guardian Protection Services was a good company. I tried to make it very simple for myself and my husband, so I just went through them. I spoke with somebody from Guardian yesterday. I paid my bill and he explained to me that the bill was a little bit higher this month, which I didn’t even notice. He also told me that next month it will be different. The system is working well for us. I was thinking of getting cameras, but it was a little bit on the expensive side, so we’re gonna wait since we only just got the system. We have two panels in the house. I set the alarm at night and I take it off in the morning.

    I need to know how the system is monitored, how would they know if someone broke in, how would they know if I’m not home. Although, I have questions for Guardian, everything has been working out fine.     We've had Guardian Protection Services for three years or so before we moved into the Leander home. We just transferred from one service address to the next. The brand-new townhome that we bought was prewired by another company. We just moved up from the Houston area and we didn’t have any other entity in mind. I didn’t even remember having a contract running from the first installation in Cedar Park. I thought it was just a month-to-month thing and when that came to light, we just went ahead and stayed with Guardian. They came in here and we added two glass breakage sensors. They also put in two keypads. The features are good.

    We used to have a motion sensor before but we never really used it because we have Dachshunds and once they get in, they trip the alarm. The smartphone features are good. I’m a dinosaur and I should have already run my course, but I have to learn and adapt to the current technology. I use it mostly to arm and disarm the system. I feel confident that my house is secure. Most burglars in a lower income level are just petty thieves looking for a crack. They’ll pass on a house that they believe is protected in any way and try to find the one that’s not.

    There was a security system in the house that I purchased but I never used it. Instead, I went with Guardian Protection Services. I signed up mainly for the fire and for the carbon monoxide. When I called them up, they set up an appointment to have a representative come out. His name was Scott and he was the greatest. He was super nice and very friendly. Then, another guy came out and did the installation. The existing system in the house ran off a landline and Guardian doesn't run off that so the other guy put in new equipment. He was awesome, very thorough, and very knowledgeable of their products. That part of my experience was very easy and both guys were able to answer any question I might have.

    Their team inside has been pretty good for the most part, too, and so far, the equipment and the app works well. The monitor, which is kind of like an iPad, also works well. But there's something wrong with the actual system on the doors in the house. The sensors there are not matching up properly or not communicating with one another. Also, they put one of the same sensor on the doors and another one on the wall right next to them. Those doors tend to lose their shape a little bit in the wintertime and the cold months. And when that happens, they push out away from the wall a little bit.

    That happens to three of my four doors and when those doors are broken like that, they set the alarm off. Right now, the sensors on my three doors are not active and it's not like having a system at all. But there are motion detectors in the house as well, so, if intruders get into the front door, they're not going to make it far. I called Guardian about it and they're supposed to be coming out on Friday to take care of that. Based on my schedule, their response was as quick as can be done. I also understand that it's a new system for Guardian, so, there are some glitches that might need to be figured out potentially.

    The reason I have the system is because I travel and if I would go away, I'd get off the plane and have these updates if my alarm was going off. One time, UPS knocked on the front door and the alarm went off because the sensor was still sensitive. That happened four days in a row and they did their best and all they could do when I called in. All in all, I would recommend Guardian to my friends based on the sales and the installation. But I would caution them that there are still some glitches in their product.

    I’ve been with Guardian Protection Services since 2010. I continued it based on service, ease of use and understanding for stability. Also, I assumed that they were willing to do what was right for us as a consumer. When we were transferring service, we could have been with other providers but I was able to get locked in at a good rate. They recognized the tenure of being with them for as long as we had and I was very happy with how they were so willing to work with us on the rate. We had a couple of installation experiences and each time, I thought that they were looking out for our best interest and that's all I wanted. That was perfect. My interaction with the techs was good too and it was very informative. When the technician came, he forgot to leave yard signs and stickers. I instantly contacted customer service and they were able to get the stickers and the yard signs outsourced immediately.

    We ended up just converting what we already had for a hardwired system in the house. We didn’t really want anything other than the basic ePAD to function the system and the ability to remotely arm and disarm, and they met our needs from that tempo. We requested that we get converted back to the basic standard keypad to avoid any issue like we had with one of the touch pads and they worked with us well to get that converted back. I love the smartphone features. I love being able to arm and disarm, and also to monitor the activity of the system while I’m at the house. It’s a great benefit. It’s there for peace of mind while we’re in the house and while we’re away. It does what we need it to do. I would recommend them to others.

    I’ve been using Guardian Protection Services close to five years. I have three homes with them. The installation has been really good. We had one problem with the last house though. This was my mother’s house in a different state and there was an error in the installation and there were some issues in getting that rescheduled to be corrected. It also took out our phone service, so she didn’t have a phone service at all. Guardian told me they’d schedule it to get fixed that day but I couldn’t get in touch with them. It just so happened that I was able to get the installer’s phone number and I called him myself to get him back out there. It all worked out in the end.

    The quality of the equipment is good and the cost is comparable. The system is easy to use and it works well. We feel much better in having the alarm system in all three places for different reasons. It provides me a great sense of security to know that it’s there. Guardian provided good service and they’ve been easy to work with.

    I am SO upset. I am moving and will be renting my next home. I called to end my service with Guardian Protection and the CS person said that I still have 21 months on my contract. I repeated that I was MOVING. She told me I should have read the fine print. How can a company charge me for a service that I am not able to use? Legal? I bet not and will find out. She said the termination fee was $750 but they would discount it to reflect the $25 monthly fee x 21 months = $525. That's not a termination fee; that is the balance of my service contract.

    Other reviews online reflect that their contract is vague, not always sent to the customer, etc with this same complaint. A reasonable assumption would be that a contract for a home service would end when the homeowner sold the home. Guardian wants me to sell their service to the new buyer in order to cut me a break. So, now I am on their sales team? Gun to my head to do it... I would NEVER have Guardian for my home again.

    When we purchased our house, Guardian was offered as the protection plan. Their customer service has been great. And there was no hassle and no pushing. We’ve had two installations. And I wasn’t there for the second one but it was the same guy from the first installation who came out.     We just recently built a home with Ryan Homes and they recommended Guardian Protection Services. I went up to Guardian and talked to them. They told us about the company and what they had to offer. So far, I'm happy with them. Mac, the guy who came, installed and helped us set everything up. He was awesome and really helpful. He left me his phone number and I’ve called him a couple times with a couple of issues here and there regarding the sensitivity of the cameras. We have the basic stuff but it seemed to offer quite a bit of security. We also have the entertainment speakers.

    It would be nice to have an alarm siren upstairs as part of the package instead of having to add one on. The one downstairs does good for downstairs and the one on the basement does good for the basement but you can’t hear either one of them upstairs. The Guardian app is fairly easy to use. However, twice, we’ve armed the system and it closed the garage door but when we arrived home, the garage door was open. We always made sure we saw it closed before we pull out of the driveway and when we looked at the app, it said that the garage door was open. Guardian is a great company.

    In our previous home we had AT&T security but now we got Guardian Protection Services. It was sold as part of the design center package and it was set up and included in the closing cost of the house. I have the system since February and so far the features are okay. All I do is just look at my cameras from time to time to see what's going on. It helps as I can be in at work and I can look at my cameras and look around the house. One camera in the back though keeps losing its reception. Also, they’re trying to work out some billing errors. The payment for the whole initial set up was already included in the closing cost but they still try to bill us again for that. It's almost like we're paying twice. That's my only problem right now.

    We've been with Guardian for at least 10 years now and having the service has given us a higher sense of security. We wanted a wireless system and we’re able to get emergency services and fire alerts. We can contact emergency personnel from either our phones or even in our bedroom. We recently had to add a door camera to our household because there has been a high activity of thefts in our neighborhood. Guardian representatives were out here hooking up other people’s cameras and I just promptly asked one of the gentlemen if they had my ticket on their roll for that particular day to install. He told me that he didn't have it but he said that he could pull it from the system and do ours that day. The interactions have been beyond good and right now, we have everything we want in our system.

    When we first got the camera put in, we were able to view people coming to the door and the times allocated in recording. We felt more secure in our home since we had the ability to record situations at our front doors. It stopped working correctly recently and I have to call them about that. Still, I think they’re good. Their customer service is excellent. They look like they know their job. They were prompt and willing to help even if it may not have been for them to directly help in that particular moment.

    And every time I’ve called them, they’ve had a solution for the situation no matter what it was. But there hasn’t been that many times for the past ten years that there was an issue where we had to directly call them. Once, we had an issue with the back door that didn’t properly close all the way and it would open whenever the wind blew. They kept calling us on the situation even though they knew we had an issue with the backdoor. So it was good.

    I liked Frontpoint way better than I like Guardian. Guardian uses the exact same hardware that Frontpoint does, the same manufacturer and it appears to be very similar software. They even use the same provider for an online experience. They both use Alarm.com for the app on my phone and for the website. But Guardian doesn't allow me to adjust any of the settings without paying them. The available functions that I have with Guardian are massively restricted. If I wanted to change the amount of time that I have between my push the arm button and when I can be at my front door, like an exit delay, Guardian charges me about $25 to do that.

    Also, I had an annoying interaction with their sales team. The alarm was already installed as I bought a house that already had an alarm in it and they couldn't just turn it on. They insisted that I had to have an appointment and somebody had to come out here to physically inspect everything before they could enable it. It was not very motivating for me to make the time for that. The sales guy was pretty pushy and gave me a really hard time about not wanting to commit to a seven-year contract. I have been very happy with Frontpoint at the old house. The only reason I was willing to try something new was because it was already here when we bought the place. I'm very happy that I only signed a one year contract with Guardian.

    The guy who came out for the installation was pleasant enough though. He had to replace the battery in one of the panels upstairs. He did the test from his computer that connected everything over the network. There was no reason he could not have done that sitting at a desk not at my house. Then he said everything was good to go and he set up my pass code. I intentionally have a very basic alarm system. It's mostly wireless and unobtrusive. I'm not interested in purchasing home automation from an alarm company. They just don't move fast enough when it comes to the technology I want. I just wanted basic entry notifications. If there wasn't already a motion sensor hung on the wall, I would not have even had Guardian paying a motion sensor.

    Guardian Protection Services has competitive pricing, and their sales rep and the installer were both very nice, very personable and informative guys. The installer was excited about his job and was bit talkative, though. I like the features and it is a good system, but the doorbell camera did not pick up a lot of Wi-Fi. I also like the smartphone features a lot. Over all, I would recommend it.

    I needed to get the system installed in a short amount of time and Guardian was the only one that could do so. So far I’ve had three installs in three different houses with Guardian. I wasn’t present for the most recent one so I had to do it remotely but it went okay. I just wanted to transfer service from one location to another. I asked the rep to transfer our service. They did it and they looked at what capabilities I had at the house. Once they looked into the system they figured out that it was already prewired for alarm so I didn’t need to run wires for that and I saved in some areas. Then they offered some features that I wasn’t anticipating. I went with a ring doorbell camera and the ability to open and close the garage door.

    When I was finally able to use the system last week there were three major or significant problems I had with it. When I talked to the person over the phone during the install they said that I could have both houses on the same application on my phone. I called Guardian because I was at the house and I was trying to set that up and they had to send a technician out to help me with it. The technician showed up and apparently you cannot put two houses on the same application. I have two different ones, which was frustrating. It’s not a deal breaker but I wouldn’t advise someone that they could do it because it sets the expectation that you can do that.

    The other reason I called Guardian was their ability to lock and unlock the front door, which in theory was a great feature. But when I eventually got to the house last week it was intermittent. It wouldn’t work from the keypad on the door and then occasionally it wouldn’t work with the app. The technician was out there for that as well and he couldn’t find anything wrong with it. And it leaves me unsure of whether it’s going to work or not. I'd like to think that it’s going to work well because I was able to use it for the few days I was up there but now I’m doing it remotely so I don’t have a chance to test the system anymore. If the smartphone features work properly it’s great. If they don’t then it can be a little frustrating.

    I’m hesitant on the contract because it makes it difficult to go elsewhere. When I got the system three years ago, if I had known that I had to get a five-year contract on it, it may have changed my opinion on it. If I didn’t need it in a short time then I’d have thought about ADT. But overall I've had a good experience with Guardian.

    The day after my posting on Consumer Affairs, I was contacted by Tim from the Loyalty Department of Guardian Protection Services. This is the same person who had initially told me that they don't cancel any contract unless the person is deceased. He told me that as a courtesy they would cancel my mom's contract as of the next billing cycle. Although I appreciate the quick response to my posting, I feel this should have been handled in the beginning without the need for this forum, especially after (at their request) I sent them the contract proving that my mom is now in a board and care.

    My 84 year old mother was scammed into signing up for Guardian Protection in 1984 by being told her current alarm company was going out of business. She still had time left on her previous contract and Guardian Protection ended up having to buy it out after agreeing they were in the wrong. Now at 87 my mother has Alzheimer's and is in very poor health so we have moved her to a board and care facility so she can be cared for.

    Guardian Protection is refusing to cancel her alarm contract stating there is still 14 months left on the contract and they expect it to be paid. They even stated that they don't cancel any contract unless the person is deceased. My mom's social security and veteran benefit only cover 2/3 of her cost of care and my sister and I take care of the rest. She has a reverse mortgage so the house will be going back to the bank. If Guardian had not scammed her in the beginning her previous contract would be done and we would not have this issue.

    I googled the top rated home security companies and Guardian Protection Services was part of that. The rep walked us through different items and plans. We told him the layout of our house and he came up with an easy situation and told us what the pricing would be and he was exact with that. He said that he would be our representative and anytime we got questions, we could call him and go from there. I felt excellent about how he handled our situation. He's been excellent. He told us where to go and who to talk to.

    The installation was great. The person who came out asked us questions about how we wanted things. He set it up that way and went on from there. He was knowledgeable. We like the feature where we could set the alarm and disarm the alarm on our phone and we're happy with that. But we're still dealing with a situation with the door sensor. It's not working and doesn't register. So we've called Guardian but there has been no resolution of it and we've been directed to their website. But other than that we feel more protected having Guardian in our home. I would tell our friends to try Guardian Protection Services, as it seems like the reliability is there.

    We bought a brand new house and Guardian Protection Services was recommended to us. We also looked into ADT and AT&T but the reason we chose Guardian was that of the price. The monthly payment was a lot cheaper than anybody else. The Guardian representative let us choose our stuff for the house. He also walked us through and showed us everything, including the pros and cons. The sales agent who helped me was good, however, the only downfall I had was the installation. It took me three times to get my service installed.

    What happened was we had a bad weather one day and the technicians all called it a day. Then nobody called us for over two weeks so I had to call back and get somebody again. Then the second time I was really upset, because I took a whole day of my personal time to wait for the gentleman to show up. They gave us a window but then he didn't come at 1:00 to 4:00. He came at almost 5:00. I told him he had his opportunity. He should have called earlier if he was going to be late so I could have made arrangements to reschedule. And then the third time the guys finally showed up and installed it. The technician they sent out was good so the only problem is their lack of communication. While they gave me a free doorbell camera, they should have done more than that. After all, how can they give me a contract when I can’t get the service installed?

    So far we have the door alarms on the entry doors, like the garage door and backdoors. We have the camera door and the motion sensors too. While we really like the camera doorbell, having the glass break included in the package would have been nice to see. Other than that I constantly use the smartphone features on my phone - and it's really good. The function of it is very easy so anybody can operate it. It’s not something that’s complicated like you don’t have to call customer service to walk you through. I really like the app. It beats having to go downstairs and turn the keypad on. Instead I just get my phone, turn it on and turn it off.

    Since having the system I feel safer. I work overnight and so with the alarm the police will be notified right away if anything happens. It’s not something where they break in and you don’t know what’s going on because there’s no alarm going off to notify. Overall I would recommend Guardian Protection Services. I would tell everyone that I got free installation and they beat the prices of security companies in the area.

    I had Guardian at my house in West Virginia for eight years and the house that I bought here in Texas was equipped with Guardian. Their customer service was Johnny-on-the-spot with anything so when we moved here in January, we decided to keep them. Then, we had the video system installed because it wasn’t previously equipped with that. The performance of the system is pretty smooth for the most part. Occasionally, the WiFi-based video cameras can’t connect to it, but then it resolves itself. Other than that, we’ve been happy with Guardian. Whenever there's a problem, they’ve been attentive and have resolved it.

    I asked that we stop the service at my house for couple reasons. 1 being my house is having electrical issues. The wall the monitor is on has no power therefore the system is useless. But they keep billing me. They refuse to stop billing me forcing to close my bank account. They are worse than the criminals they are trying to prevent from entering your home. Please stay away from this company. Warn your family and friends. This company is not worth headache.

    I’ve always had a security system in the other state that I lived in, so when I purchased my house, I figured I would get one again and Guardian Protection Services was recommended to me by somebody. I didn’t have a good experience with the sales team upfront though. It was in December when I called and I never got a call back from anybody. I kept calling the lady that I originally spoke to and she just wasn’t helpful. She did not give me enough information and she didn’t seem to know much. It was not a good experience. I spoke to somebody else. When a guy came out to install the system, I had a better experience with him. He did what he had to do, he explained everything well and everything went smoothly after that. The system is doing its job. I like its features and the fact that I can go on my phone and can do anything I need to there, away from home. I would definitely recommend Guardian Protection Services.

    I have a small business and I’m required to have a security system. A friend of a good buddy of mine works for Guardian Protection Services and he came and installed the system. He hooked up the system and I called Guardian Protection Services to activate everything. The person that I spoke with just asked me if the guy that hooked the system up did a good job and I told him, “Yes.” I’m really happy with everything so far.

    However, when my plumber came in one day, he didn’t know that I had a security system hooked up and Guardian Protection called my girlfriend. I didn’t know that there’s a way to have it hooked up to where they just directly call the police instead of me. I had it all okay in the system now. In the event that it got broken in to, I would like a quicker reaction because I’m not at the best part of town. Other than that, the equipment itself was good and everything works well too. I definitely feel a lot better having the system hooked up. I would tell my friends that Guardian Protection Services is good. The cost was very reasonable from what I thought it was going to be and the quality seems great.

    We built the house and Guardian had an agreement with the builders. Things went pretty well with their reps but we didn't realize that we locked ourselves in a five-year agreement with them until we decided to move out of that house. We were pretty annoyed without reading the fine print and we were stuck with them. But they were accommodating about getting the new equipment at our new home. Plus, their service has always been great and we've been very happy with it. We've also committed for an additional five years with them, though we would prefer to just have a month to month contractual agreement.

    I purchased a new home and Guardian Protection was already installed. I’ve only been in the house less than a month and everybody at Guardian Protection has been great. Guardian doesn’t have a person in this area so they had somebody from another company come out, set it all up, and walked me through getting it all online. I’m still familiarizing myself with the features, but they seem good and I’m happy. The quality of the equipment is good to me as well and I like it.     Guardian Protection's service has been alright. Though it depends on who comes out. When I called them, I told them what I wanted and they got somebody come out. A couple of people came out when they first installed my camera. The tech put the cameras up but didn’t go to details explaining how all of them work or what I should do. I didn’t appreciate that. He could have taken more time and shown me all the different things. I had to call to have somebody else come back out and tweak the cameras because the cameras were so sensitive. But other than that, it’s all right.

    We got alarm on one of the doors and we got cameras. The cameras are now two months old and I got to see how sensitive they are in the back and in the side of the house. I wanted them to monitor if someone comes out. I didn’t want them to monitor a bird slamming behind it or the lawn mower. I would also like if there are locks on my doors and if Guardian could do the link with the cameras with security. But that’s down the line.

    The smartphone features are fine. I used them more than I use the computers. Being a married man, I feel comfortable that the wife and daughters are all safe and comfortable. And should anyone ask me about Guardian, I'd tell them I have it and I’m comfortable and pleased with the service. I have recommended them to my neighbor who just moved in the area.

    We had a house built in San Marcos back in 2014 and we moved in. When we went to the design center to pick out stuff, there was someone there with the Guardian and went over everything and told us what we could get. She said we would be having it monitored for two years and we paid $600 to have the system put in the house. I figured out now that was for five years. But we had it at that house for about three years and we used it three times but never reset the code. We felt safe and that set the views in. We never had a problem with it except when we were getting the house ready to sell on. I was having some tile replaced, had a crack and the guy who was working on it right underneath the smoke alarm was grinding up with the grinder which was the motor that was used to put it in. It was so much smoke that the alarm went off.

    The phone rang promptly and someone asked if we had a fire and I said, “No.” But they already called the fire department. So, before it was all over, the fire department was there. We had a nice share with them. They were very friendly and understood the situation. We still have a little over two years to go on our commitment with Guardian. We told them when we built our new house that they were going to come down and put in the security system. They will also monitor for the next two-plus years and we might keep it after that. However, the developer had forgotten to put in all the utilities particularly the natural gas in a particular section of the subdivision where our house was being built.

    We were supposed to get into the house in September and then we were promised we’d be into it by Halloween. Then we were told we’d be in a week before Thanksgiving before Christmas. And then the last thing we heard from them was that they were having problems with the company that was installing the gas. We were not able to get into the house until the middle of February. We were ready to walk and they told us that they made a good deal in a house in another area. We were fine with it so we moved into then we found out that it already has a security system with other company.

    That was no big deal because we were going to have Guardian monitor. And as I talked to Guardian, they said, “Since you get in, let us know. We’ll come out, install a wireless system absolutely free and then you can serve out your other 20 some odd months.” And we said, “That’ll work fine.” We postponed Guardian because every time we told when we were going to get it in, we change the installation date with them. We finally got into the house on the 22nd of December and we’re still trying to get organized. But Guardian sent a fellow out and he spent some time and checked everything. He was very pleasant. He got everything hooked up and told us what he was doing. They swapped out the doors and didn’t put a magnet at the door. He said that we would have to have our builder to come back and do that. We had him do it and he did it. He even checked the wiring and got the wiring set up the way it was supposed to be.

    Guardian has been monitoring it. We had the alarm go off this morning when I accidentally went to the front door and opened it. I forgot to turn it off because we set it every night now and we also set it every time we leave. They called us promptly and we apologized for our mishap. We’ve been pleased with them. They have shown us that they are very prompt to contact us if there’s any problem. We’re pleased with our system too. We have seven rates smoke detectors in the house and everything seems to be working fine. The security equipment is a good stuff.

    However, we got a sign out the house so that gives a false sense of security. And anyone who wants to break into the house and sees the sign would probably go somewhere where there isn't one and try that first. I would recommend Guardian but the only negative I have is its monthly rate is a little higher than a lot of other company’s charge.

    I had a break in prior to having a security system from Guardian. They set the sensors, the doorbell, the box for the alarm, and they showed me how to work the system on my phone, but they neglected one little program issue and they thought the doorbell was defectove, so I had to wait for a week for them to come in and install another one. Then when the person came out, the doorbell wasn't ringing properly but the video part was working, so they thought the doorbell was defective again and I had to wait another week for them to come out. And then they finally looked at the programming on my phone and saw that the person did not activate it, which was a minor thing. Also, I wasn't told how to save images and I didn't know how to go about it. Other than that, everyone had been great about answering my questions so far and I would very much recommend them.

    We worked with Kaitlin and she's been great. She was able to expedite this other service call for today to finish the install since the technician wasn’t able to finish on Friday. We were going to have to wait, but they did all they could to get a sooner date since we’re going out of town. But she just called me a little bit ago, and she was able to get me somebody today, which is amazing. They have been very helpful. Every time I email Kaitlin, she answers me back and has a quick response. And the technician, Oscar, was also really good. He was helpful and very polite. He wasn't messy and took his time to put in the system correctly. He put the keypad in and our deadbolt that we’re able to do from our phone.     If your house has NO insulation or if you have window that sweat a lot DO NOT buy this product. Why? Because the sensors go crazy. You will get calls at ALL HOURS of the DAY. Even at 1am in the Morning. The company will lock in for 3 or 4 years with a penalty / fine. I called them after 2 years of driving me CRAZY with the calls, alerts. The response was they can bypass all the alerts and make sure I get no calls. They refused OUTRIGHT to disconnect my service without paying the penalty. They REFUSED to send someone to my home every 3 months to change all the sensors WITHOUT trip charge. Every time they send someone to your home they charge a hefty fee. NOT worth, purchasing this product.

    Guardian Protection Services was offered to me when I bought my house. It was more of convenience than anything. There was an extra consultant that we can talk to and it was the pitch that they gave then we can go to anybody if we want. I figured I’d go with Guardian Protection Services. Kevin, the sales rep, was great. He was thorough, honest and fun. As the house was being built, they put in the motion sensors on the doors. After we moved in, they came and installed the panel that was already hard-wired. They made it really simple. When you get something installed, you’re buying it so it is yours to keep. My wife and I love it. Guardian Protection Services is a good and reliable company. They are a little expensive but that’s fine.

    We moved here from Nashville, and in Nashville, we used ADT. Guardian has definitely more cutting edge on the technology piece, and the customer service is every bit as good. But the person that installed the system was excellent, and he exceeded expectations. He went through and asked where it was that I wanted it installed, and he gave me the different options. He did the installation very quickly for what it involved, and then he taught me how to use it. He took me to the website, taught me how to use the website, and then he called back and asked if I had any questions.

    The features offered in my Guardian system are much better than the ones I've had in the past. I like using a lot of the features especially the smart features of closing my garage and disarming it with my phone. I have not had that before, so that's nice too. I may, sometime in the future, put up the video cameras. That's available, but I did not get that. Overall, the performance of the system is excellent, and the equipment itself is high quality. With Guardian, I feel much more comfortable when my husband's not here. And it's so easy to use that I'm much more compliant with using it.

    We bought a house and had to build from the ground up. I saw most of the houses in our neighborhood use Guardian and they were the first that I reached out to. The sales was no issue and their reps were working with me. I bought the entire system for $800 and they’re breaking those payments down so I could make a couple of installment payments which is great. But I'm having a problem with the customer service because my equipment is not working properly.

    My doorbell camera would not feed live video. If someone comes up and ring my doorbell, I can go back and look at that video but nothing live. I got an iPhone 8 and I would get the doorbell notification but the live video won’t come up and it said, “There’s a problem. Please contact customer service.” They transferred me to the IT department which is an outsourced department. It has nothing to do with Guardian. We called them 45 minutes on the phone and they tried to walk me through it over the phone a couple of times. The guy had me outside at the doorbell, told me to push it down, hold it and told me how many colors that should come up. It did everything he was saying but at the end of the day, I still don't have a live video and they said they would send a tech back out.

    They sent one of their techs out twice and he couldn’t get it done. He spent about three hours out here the second time and it's still not working properly. He put a lot of notes in his system and he mentioned that the firewall of my router needs to be taken down but I don’t know how to do that. We called Spectrum and their provider and they said there was nothing they could do with that because they don’t control the router, the router belongs to the individual. I had it installed around the 20th of January and it’s almost mid-March now. I still have no live video but I’m paying for it though.

    There are a lot of things that I’m still pleased with and that’s why I still have them. Like when my wife was cooking breakfast for our granddaughter and the fire alarm went off, within seconds I got the alarm on my phone and Guardian was calling. As far as the protection piece of it and the response time, I have been very pleased with those. I’m just not getting what I’m paying for.

    I’ve had Guardian Protection Services for six years for my business. Some guys came out here and I signed up for him to monitor. The guy who installed the system was a really nice guy. He was wonderful and his work was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that I do not like their keypad. I had ADT for 37 years and with them, I could hit a red button if somebody was robbing us. It was a lot simpler. But it was an old system and I’m an old person. They were good but my camera and my equipment were so old and I needed to get it all redone. Also, ADT was going up to about $27 and when I told them I wanted to quit them, they had the nerve to drive it back to $22. I didn't want to deal with them if they were that kind of people.

    I get a bill every month from Guardian and I pay them through the mail. I had that understood with them from the start. We’re closed on Monday and I had Guardian send the bills to my home instead of the business. When I happened to look at my email, they said something about wanting me to pay on the computer and I don’t do that. But otherwise, I’m really satisfied with Guardian and I would recommend them. They've always been very nice and I liked their representatives too. They were great when I called and talked to them.

    The customer service was good until I received my equipment bill. My first bill was $800 and it wasn't explained to me that I was gonna get charged all that money for the equipment. They never explained in detail how the billing process goes and what equipment I was being billed. There were some things I was supposed to get that I didn’t get. That aside, the installation went good. The installer explained to me how everything worked, including how to activate and deactivate the system, and what happens during an emergency. The explanation and all the details provided for that were good. I particularly like the doorbell camera feature. I’m out of town a lot and I gotta keep up on my fiancée. She’s very comfortable when I go out of town now and she feels a little safer.

    It’s my first week with Guardian and everything is good. There’s nobody home right now because of the gas problem so protection is good.     We used Guardian for our home for years, so I called them for my small business. Now, we'll probably drop them for our home due to their insanely horrible service. I got the service for a leased commercial space. Later, I left the leased commercial space to outsource manufacturing out of state. I called dozens of times to cancel the protection service, but they kept charging my credit card monthly amounts. I barred them from the credit card, and continued to try to reach someone at Guardian months after we left the commercial space. They claimed there was a 5-yr standard contract and sent a copy, but the copy did not have such a term, and I never would have signed it if it did.

    They continue to send bills and constantly call and harass 7 months after I did everything on my end to cancel the service, and I paid in full past the date we needed the service and past the date that we left the commercial space. I did everything right as a consumer, and they are so inept and amoral that they continue to harass and bill me. This happened with NO OTHER service that I needed to cancel for that commercial space, which included multiple other services (pest control, uniforms, utilities, etc.) The WORST - be forewarned and do not deal with them.

    The thing I like most about Guardian is I have more accessibility to them. I know the salesperson, Kevin. I have him as a contact and if I have questions, I can talk to him. It just feels more comfortable. He was also very upfront and he wasn’t pushy. He just wanted to know what I wanted and helped me get it set up. I like him really well. I had ADT before and they had the same stuff that Guardian does but ADT never came back and asked if I was interested in upgrading. I know that some people would probably call that pushy and I would too if it was every few weeks or every few months. But we’ve been with them for three years now and I hadn’t heard a word back from them. It was just a matter of having some type of communication.

    When I set up an appointment for Guardian to come out and fix a sensor, the representatives were cooperative. They asked questions and were able to make the appointment. I wanted them to fix a sensor so it doesn’t come off easily. It’s at the top part of the door and there’s not much to hang on to and it came off. I didn’t notice it at first and I initially called because my door was unsecure. I went through it three times trying to figure out what was going on. I looked at another door to see what the setup was then I went back and noticed that the sensor wasn’t there. It was hanging on the back side of the door so I didn’t see it.

    The features are pretty much the same with what I had with ADT and much of the equipment is the same. Guardian just had to change the keypad. But the service costs a little bit more because of the camera doorbell, which was the main thing I wanted. It allows me to see who’s at the door as well as answer the door with my phone from wherever I am, no matter if I’m in the house or at the other side of the country. I felt secure with ADT before but now I feel a little bit better with the fact that I know who’s entering the house. I can also assign a different code to my two sons and their wives so they can use the codes that they want and I know when Brent or Allie or when Sarah or Andy comes in.

    My brother has Guardian Protection Services and he highly recommends it. And I think the best part was their tech came over to our house, looked over and explained everything and gave all the options. I felt this was better versus the online thing. The customer service rep was very knowledgeable and very patient. The installation guy then made sure I was aware where he was putting all the sensors so he walked me around again and showed me everything and then gave me options on where I wanted the panel to be put in because I don’t want to cut holes through, especially on the kitchen things.

    And then after he installed it he demonstrated everything."Okay. If you open this, that's going to happen." And then, we went online and discussed a few things. He was very professional and he was very quick. We just got the basic things but it works for us. It's great. The quality of the equipment is perfect. The only issue we have with the thing is we can arm and disarm it with the phone but we cannot schedule. We wanted it to disarm itself, in case we forget. But we do get the reminders.

    Since having the system I feel secure. It feels good. At night it feels safe to arm in case we have an invasion or anything. I think the best thing is to have the emergency system so if there's like a fire or somebody's hurt then I can hit the button. That makes me feel very safe because we have two boys and my concern is if I cannot physically get them to an ER or if they're hurt then I can just push a button and they will come to us. It's a really good system. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to get it and I've already recommended it to a couple of friends. I don't know if they went with it or not but I told them Guardian is topnotch.

    The Guardian system was already installed at our new property when we moved in. Guardian's customer service team has been very informative and easy to communicate with. We made one initial call to them about their active services, and at that time, the information about the pricing, which was only a photo that I had to print from the website. And then, I had one rep out who launched the system. They updated pieces of equipment, too. The only frustration that my husband would articulate is that the system doesn't sync well with the mobile app at all. It's almost impossible to use in a timely fashion with the mobile app. And the technician kept saying that it was not his responsibility. But the quality of the equipment is very good. Overall, Guardian is incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of their service.

    The first time Guardian Protection Services approached us, they were reasonably priced and sounded pretty good. We've had them for almost four years now and the quality of their equipment has been good. The features I have are basic but the interactive panel they have is good to have around. I also like the fact that I can use my phone to monitor my house and make sure that the system is armed and if there's something that opens. Their system is excellent.     Our town was just spoken in the paper as being the safest town in Pennsylvania but I added a little protection, for fire and possible break-ins. Guardian Protection Services' reps have all been very good and palatable. I was hands-off on the installation of the system but the installer was here and he told me every step of the way and what he was doing. I use my system daily and I had no problem. Unfortunately, the wind blew and it tore up in one bite. And before I could get down the steps, they were on the phone with me. That was a very fast response and I was very impressed. Also, we broke one of the sensors one time and it was our fault. But they were here the next day and replaced it under warranty so that was nice of them. I got everything I want right now and I value what Guardian has done for me. Most of the people I know already have it.

    When we signed up with Guardian, when we're having our house built, they didn't give us additional information about small things that kept popping up such as when the bill comes out. There's a $2 fee if you don't pay your bill and they would auto draft it, which is silly. We shouldn't be required to do auto-debit not unless they want to charge us a $2 fee. But if that's the case, then it should be disclosed to the consumer before they sign up. And even if the bill doesn't get sent out, we still are paying for paperless. Even if we go paperless, we're still paying $2. For me, it puts a bad taste because it makes me feel like Guardian doesn't trust me to pay my bill on time. So, that really ticked me off. I had ADT before and I like that they told me everything up front where Guardian did not.

    And then, on the doorbell camera, they never told us how many clips we are allowed a month, and that once we hit that amount, it automatically shuts off and we have to go in and set it to a certain distance from the doorbell to the porch, to the driveway, and to the street. So, lo and behold, we hit our max and we can't do anything about it until the next month, where we can then pull it back. So, it's not picking up every motion that goes past the front of our house. So, I'm not too happy about that.

    I talked to one of the ladies at Guardian last night because of the whole thing with the video of the doorbell. And when I had called in prior, I spoke with a gentleman who made it seem like I could just go on to guardian.com and be able to do that. But when you're on to regular guardian.com, you can't. You have to go on to guardianalarm.com. And he didn't tell me that because we're already at our max for our video that we have to wait until the month is over where we then can go in and have access to be able to change the number of recordings. Now, it's not recording at all because we're already at our cap. So, the communication was poor at that point.

    But other than those, we like the overall service at this point. We like the technician who came out. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the system, the app that he showed us how to get on to, and the doorbell. I like the app because we're able to set the alarm on the house as well as open and close the garage whenever we come in and out of the development. I also like the doorbell feature. I just wish we knew that we were capturing every dump truck that goes in our neighborhood to build other people's houses. So now, we just have to wait until next month to scale that back so that we're not picking up all the motion that we don't need to pick up. Also, I like that whoever rings our doorbell, we're able to talk to them from our phones and we don't have to be in the house. Guardian is also doing a giveaway where my husband signed up because he's into electronics and mechanics.

    Our Guardian system does what we wanted it to do. It protects our house and I like the feature that if and when we have a guest, we're able to give them their personal code that they can use to come in and then, it notifies us. I like that we had to set the chime for when the door opens, too. New houses don't have the standard doorknobs anymore. Everything is a pull-down doorknob where one pulls down the door handles. So, when my two years old son happens to open the door and goes outside, it alarms me that our door has been opened. So, I like all of those features which were not offered when we had ADT. I would recommend Guardian. They just need some tweaking on some customer service and consumer things, and they should also present a welcoming package to customers.

That contract was to be up in August and I call today Feb. 23, 2018 and was told the contract automatically extended another 3 years. Now unless I payout the contract I am forced to continue and not be freed to select another service. Not a very American company.

    I've always had a security system and the home security system of Guardian Protection Services was offered through our builder. Everything has been good in our dealings with the Guardian reps and the installation of the system has been good as well. The two installers were very friendly and they spent time showing me how to use the app on my cellphone and everything like that in the system. They definitely knew what they were doing.

    The Guardian system is very user-friendly and so far, everything has been good and satisfactory. The overall quality of the Guardian security equipment is good. Everything has been working and we haven't had any issues at all. I like how everything in the system is through my cellphone, mostly the keypad. I've used the smartphone features quite a bit and they've been very easy to navigate. Right now, we're just trying to get settled and we haven't done any upgrades yet, but I want to add more features. Our previous home security system had some features installed and then we added more features, and we plan on doing the same with our current system too. I want to get some glass break detectors on our back windows.

    Guardian Protection Services had a contract with our builder for our new home and they had the alarm system in place by the time we got there. We had a basic meeting with the Guardian reps and they offered some packages that they had and prices, etc. The system that we got was what we thought we would get with an alarm system. Their smartphone feature basically does what I need it to do. It would turn my alarm off and on, and notify me of different things going on. So far, everything works operationally fine. Guardian is a little expensive but, other than that, they’re fine.

    Guardian was working with the builder so I did it with them. They're pretty good except I had ADT before and ADT was a little cheaper. I was paying only about $30. That aside, the Guardian installer was really good and he explained everything well. I haven’t gotten a bill yet though. I closed on December 15th so it's been two months and I've been calling about it and trying to pay it for at least a month and a half. I’m going to end up getting three months at one shot, which I’m not happy about.

    I’ve only used the system a handful of times because I have a dog at the house and someone’s usually home. And if I’m there, between me and the dog, I’m not too worried about the house. But I feel a little more sound when I’m not there. I love the car garage door opener too. I’m happy I got that. The alarm is also good but the Wi-Fi extender had been giving me a problem. My office is upstairs and every time I would try to work in the office the Wi-Fi kept dropping. I had to keep going down in different parts of the house and keep charging the battery on the laptop ‘cause it kept draining. I lost two months of service but I finally got it resolved last week and it’s working better now.

    We had Guardian in our rental home and we were fine with it then. We moved to a new home five weeks ago and we also have Guardian home security system. However, one of the motion detectors doesn't work and another one randomly goes off without any warning even though there's nothing tripping it in. And unfortunately, we had a state trooper come to our house when we were not home to make sure everything was fine but it was a faulty sensor.

    The Guardian representatives are nice and pleasant, but I'm not getting anything answered at the same time. I'm really upset with Guardian now as the issues with my sensors have been outstanding and they've known about it for two weeks yet I'm not hearing anything back from them. No one contacted me and I'm the one who's calling them every few days to follow up on the problem. I keep paying for our system and the sensors don't even work and no one's really addressing it. We're not really happy with the sensors and I wouldn't recommend Guardian. I would rather have gone with another company. One would want a reliable home security because that's what they're paying for.

    The gentleman who sold us the house made some remarks and then he had a guy come in. Guardian's sales rep came in and it was good with him. They gave us a whole menu of things and we pretty much got the package we wanted. Also, it went fairly well with the installer. I had someone come and provide the code for the system and some information about how it functions. They did a very good job. I've had about four different systems. I have an extensive background in security and the system is as good as anyone I've seen for it. And the service was pretty good. I like that they have the feature where you can get a printout or you can get a line out when the doors and windows are open. That's a very good feature. People should hear their presentation and the variations of the programs they offer to be taken into consideration. They seemed to be very informed and right on top of the needs that we have now for devices in our home.

    I spoke with the Guardian sales guys then I apprised the support people to set up the appointment and my active dates. The technicians did a good job. They came two times and one was for the first-time installation. The system’s features are working okay but I have to explore it a little. I utilize the Guardian smartphone features and it works okay too. I got their music app also which is a bit complicated. I prefer connecting to the latest voice-over devices, Alexa. Other than that, Guardian's services are good. I feel safer since having them. Also, it’s the first time we moved into this new house and I can use the elevator comfortability.

    In the beginning, I tried to explain to the Guardian sales rep that I would need help to get out of the contract that I was already in with Ackerman. But he didn’t want to see things the way I wanted them to see them. He wasn’t actually trying to hear what I was trying to tell him and he started getting aggressive with me, which I didn’t like. So I had to go over him, talk to his manager and finish my deal off with his manager. He gave me a discount on my bill so that I could pay Ackerman Security off and as a courtesy, he gave me the doorbell camera for the inconvenience. So he worked with me fairly to accommodate me to make me feel comfortable with taking on Guardian.

    Also, the builders put the window in the wrong place and the sales rep told the installers to put my wiring somewhere else without consulting me first. He didn’t communicate with me before he told them to do something. So I had to drive home to make sure that they put it where I wanted it and made the builders move the window. I want to add two more cameras on the house and also, the doorbell freezes up from time to time. When they came out and checked it, they couldn't find a glitch. But we feel comfortable with having a security system in the house.

    If somebody were to force us in our house and the system went off, I like the feature where they communicate with you and if you don't give them the password, they send the police. Whereas with Ackerman, you had to answer the phone or not answer the phone. So if somebody stops you from answering the phone, it took some time before the police would come. I love the smartphone features too, because I can open and close the garage door and arm and disarm the house on my cellphone. We're only two months into the contract, but right now Guardian fares pretty good and I would tell others to look into the the extra features that Guardian has.

    We had a home built and Guardian Protection Services was the only one that we could use at settlement. They have some sort of partnership with the builder. I met with the sales representative a couple of times. The first time was to go over the information and the second time was halfway through the bill to go over where we wanted certain things put inside the house, like motion sensors. Then, we had an installer come out shortly after settlement to install our surround sound system and finish off some of the stuff that didn't happen prior to settlement. The installation went well. The poor guy had to deal with more than he should have because apparently a lot of stuff didn't happen prior to settlement that we didn't know about. There was an issue with the wiring so he had a full plate but he did the best he could. He was there for quite a while but he got a lot done and he finished it all in a day.

    We have never had a security system before so there's a level of comfort there knowing that the investment we paid before is covered. The system's features seem to work just fine so far. We've only been in the house for about a month and we're happy with everything we have right now. But possibly down the road, there might be some more automated features. Guardian made doing business pretty simple. So far, everything has been straightforward and a good experience.

    I'm renting a home and Guardian Protection Services is here so I have no choice but to use it. It's the basic alarm system where I have the motions and the main function. I've been using the system for a month now. I had to learn how to activate it and put it on and off to Alarm.com. It was complicated and I talked to several people but everybody had something different that I couldn't understand. And it could also be because I don't know the Guardian system since I didn't purchase it and didn't know how to work it. But as long as it's on and off and the motions are on, I don't see a problem with it. Right now, everything is great and I'd recommend the system.

    Guardian Protection Services was part of my developer's package and we had an initial design session with a salesperson named Jeff. Then once the house was built, two different technicians came out. The first technician was really knowledgeable, a sharp guy, and walked us through all the stuff, how to work and set the system up on the computer. We had some follow-ups stuff that had to be done because some of the equipment that he brought for monitoring didn't function. Another younger fellow came but I didn't find him as knowledgeable as the older gentleman who first came. He took a long time to get the system fixed and made a couple of calls to get some help. But it all got fixed and it's all working great now. We put a music package in the house which I like and is a nice feature. I'm satisfied about the overall quality of the home security system and I'm very happy with Guardian.

    Guardian Protection Services was recommended by the builder at the time of construction of the home. We had interactions with their reps from picking out the system to activation and troubleshooting. The installation was fun and it went very smooth. The features of the system are fine. The app is very convenient but I wish it would give me a choice in which sensor to turn off, instead of turning off all the sensors. Overall, the system has been great so far.

    Guardian usually addresses whatever concerns I have in a timely manner. And if they don't have the answer right away, they usually put me on hold and find somebody who could answer the question for me. So, that's appreciated. Also, my wife accidentally set off the alarm a couple times and within less than a minute after the alarm goes off, the phone is ringing with someone from Guardian calling to make sure everything is okay and if we needed the police or anything like that. So, I would recommend Guardian based on the experience I have had so far.

    We started with Guardian in the 1980s and although we've moved around, we've gotten Guardian each time. I'm glad that we got them. They seemed to stay up on the new technology. Now, I can check and control the system from my smartphone. I know it also tells me if I have a power outage because it goes into a different mode. I like the features and the system works fine. We've only been here for a little over a month but the system was all in place. We just had to get it transferred over entirely to our needs. When I need work done, I just call Guardian up and they come and do it. It's a good choice for security monitoring.

    Sam was the guy that came out and got us to move into Guardian. The only reason we switched over was for the cellphone monitoring as opposed to the landline hardwired monitoring we had before. Sam was very nice and he gave us information that we weren't contracted with our old company any longer. But apparently, we were auto-renewed on the last contract and we weren’t aware of that. We called Sam when we found out but he told us not to worry because California has a state law where auto-renewal of contracts doesn’t exist. But our last monitoring company is now trying to collect 395 dollars for breach of their auto-renewal and we're still trying to fight that. So we're not happy about that end of our experience.

    I've had some issues with Guardian. I have no notifications on my cellphone. I had to reset the settings, I did and then, it's just all over the place right now. It's something that I have to sit down and be on the phone for a while. I called them but they did not help me. During the installation the tech didn't set it up on the phone the way it should've been set up since I didn't have a phone with more storage. The problem could be a storage issue and I wish I knew that before they installed it. I would've waited 'til I got the phone first.

    My Guardian Protection system is okay, and the installation was great. However, they were supposed to send me a couple of yard signs because I got a big piece of property. They only sent me one low yard sign, and I need another one and a couple of stickers. The guy from Guardian said he was going to come back and leave signs, but he never did. I had to call, and they finally sent me one sign in the mail and not enough stickers for my windows. Also, it is inconvenient from what I’m used not to have a remote for the system, and I have to go in the house to turn the alarm off to go in my garage.

    Guardian Protection Services provides good service. There was some issue and the manager got in touch with me immediately and told me that they’ll fix it ASAP and they actually did. There was just a doorbell that was initially not installed because it was faulty. They told me initially that they’ll come back in like a month. And I kind of raised a ruckus about it because I told them, “It’s your fault. Why should we have to wait a month for something that is installed for security?” And that’s when they escalated it and send someone two days after. The technicians were skilled. And we are now using the system on a daily basis and it's so very helpful.

    Guardian Protection Services' reps were absolutely awful, specifically those in the billing department. They were all over the place. The charges were wrong amount monthly which I still have to fix. We signed for $25 a month but they were billing me $35. Every time I called customer service, they told me they were going to fix it, and then I got another bill but it was still wrong. And this has been going on since I moved in two months ago. But in terms of their service, they're fine. I live in a safe neighborhood, but having Guarding Protection gives me extra peace of mind.

    I just built a new home and Guardian partnered with the developer. Everyone has been nice and kind but there are two things that still need to be resolved. They put in some hard wires from where my entertainment center is down to where my ethernet cable box was. So, that wasn't wired correctly, and now it's not working. Also, they put down wireless contacts for the sliding door in the basement, but they were supposed to wire it in. I didn't even realize it was wireless until the stickiness on the edge of one of the contacts came off.

    The process is still open. But no one has called to schedule for the ethernet cable and for the contact downstairs. I don't know what else to do because it's too late now. The house is built. So I'm just disappointed because we paid for the installation have the wire in there. The system is working but there's one thing that doesn't work well. When someone rings the doorbell, it's supposed to activate onto our phones automatically. There's a video camera there but it isn't working.

    The Guardian rep came out, presented something to me and the paperwork was messed up in the system. When the tech initially came out to install, there was something wrong with the lock, and I had to get another technician to come out to do stuff over. On the system, they had my name paired up with somebody else’s name on the contract, and they knew I was the only one supposed to be on there. I kept giving them my password, and they kept on ignoring me. They couldn’t help me ‘cause it was somebody else with that password and it wasn’t what was on the contract. But since the technician came, they seem to have gotten the paperwork stuff straightened out. The system itself is cool and it's worth it, though there could've been more features on the actual box itself.

    Guardian Protection Services has a lot of great things to offer when compared to the other competitors. And I chose to go with them because of the price and the guy who did my installation really sold us. The installation went very well but there was a bit of miscommunication because the guy, Chris, who we did the deal with wasn't there. There was a lot of things that were included in the deal that the installers didn't know so I ended up paying more than what I was originally supposed to pay. But it is what it is and other than that, the service is great.

    The representatives have been good as well and I like the features, especially on my mobile device. Although I kind of wish that you can swipe left or swipe right to see the photos in different areas of the home. My grandma has ADT and using the mobile device, you could just swipe left and swipe right to look at all the other cameras. With Guardian, you've got to choose a drop-down menu and do all those other stuff but the system is pretty good. Also, I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, to begin with, but the added security just makes me have a peace of mind. I definitely feel a little bit safer and protected with the security system.

    Guardian Protection Services is awesome. This is my first time I have one on my own besides when I was living with my mom, and it is nice. One guy came, and he was fine. Then another guy that came out to set it up was also fine. He came right in, put it on and had it going. He explained everything to me well enough for me to understand how to use it without any questions. I like how the sensors are in my house. The guy told me if they break the glass and go through the glass instead of opening the door with the motion sensors, it makes the alarm go off. Everything is working fine. The smartphone feature is also awesome because I could control the alarm panels from my phone without even touching the alarm, and it works pretty well most of the time. It is best to get it because I’m pretty sure people will feel safe in their house.

    I had Concord a few years ago but I had to cancel it because I had a few problems with it. Guardian is great and so far, everything's good. I had a question and the rep was patient enough to explain to me and help me set up my online account. The equipment works great. It's easily accessible because I can access it on my phone and on my computer to control what's going on at home. The other day, my son forgot his device to open the garage and he couldn't come in, so I was able to open the garage for him. The only question that I have is if Guardian has a way to change the main door lock, so I will be able to lock or unlock like I do with the garage door.

    I feel safer with Guardian because I'm usually alone, so when I get home, I just set the alarm and I feel okay. When I moved in, it was on the second day and I was still getting used to the system. I mistakenly armed the device away but I was in the house. When I came downstairs to the living room, it wasn't even three seconds and my phone was ringing. They were really really fast. I didn't even get time to disarm it since they were already calling.

    The builders of the new home that we were buying offered Guardian. We needed to do the alarm work before settlement so we went with them. The sales person I worked with initially great. But either he was misinformed or misunderstood as he sold me on the fact that the alarm system was going to be a hub for a smart home that I would be able to change and add things to but that was not the case. Then, there was a technician that had to come out and set up a lot of the sensors, though he had that set up on the third day we were in the house. He was great as well even though a sensor was missed which I only noticed after a week.

    I reached out to the salesperson and didn't hear anything from him. Apparently, he was on vacation so I called customer service based on the number that was on the bill. I've been on the phone for a bunch of time explaining everything and the guy on the phone came back and said, "Well, there's nothing we can do about that. You can use the hub the way you want to use it. And the missing sensor, that had to go back to the branch office." So, he didn't solve it. He just gave me another number to call. So, that was a little frustrating because customer service for Guardian couldn't help.

    Then I called the branch office and had a very helpful conversation with somebody from operations. I also spoke to the branch sales manager and both of them seemed very eager to help. But it's been three week since I've spoken to anybody there and I'm definitely disappointed that the only response I got after following up this week was that the operations manager would have somebody to get back to me.

    But I really like the system that they installed and I have the app on my phone. With it, we could turn the alarm on and off on the phone, control the temperature and the thermostat and open and close the garage doors which is great. However, the cost of the system was more than I expected to spend. It's more than double than what I was paying for monitoring before. If I wasn't stuck with them to some degree through the builder, I would have shopped around and could have gotten something lower-priced.

    Having a security system was a regulation that we had to have when I bought the place, and Guardian was chosen for me. The initial sales rep that came was really good. What wasn't good was I was told when I was buying the system that I was getting a different system than I actually got, one that I could access my heat and different things from my phone. When they came and put the system in, that wasn’t true. They were also supposed to set my system up when I first moved in. Then they never showed up once or twice, and I was at home waiting a couple of times. They then changed my appointment once or twice, and I wasn’t happy about that either.

    They billed me initially for four services from November to January, but then they never even set the system up. But they came in January to set the system up, then they retract the bill. It was snowing outside and the gentleman came the day that he set the system up. He wore booties outside, then brought them inside the house and got ice all over my house. It hasn’t been a very positive thing.

    The salesperson from Guardian Protection Services was very nice but was extremely misleading about what could and couldn’t be done within the house and what kind of panels could be integrated into our electrical system. Basically, he just told us what we would want to hear and when the guy that came to install who was a contractor came, he made fun of Guardian’s sales process and basically said those guys don’t know anything.

    He refused to do what we had agreed to do. So, we spent twice as much time as is probably necessary rankling with him about if what we wanted to do wasn’t possible. And what he wanted was aesthetically very unattractive than what could be done between the two that might be adequate. It was a little bit of a wrestling match on that one. He finally agreed but he went on and on explaining to us what we really didn’t need to hear, just to tell us how smart he was. He was a little bit immature and he was a little sloppy. He put the wall panel on slightly lopsided but, ultimately, we're not unhappy with the job and he seemed to know what he was doing.

    Also, although we're definitely not thrilled with the experience, we’re also not unhappy with the system and we’re still getting used to it. We’re trying to adapt our way of life to using it because we haven't really actively used a protection system before. But it seems to be good and the equipment is perfectly presentable. Sometimes you worry about having something that closes attention to itself but their equipment seems to be fine. And I’m very glad I have the sign which I'm sure is why most people buy it. Their branding is good and it’s definitely reassuring knowing that I have it. Now, it’s just more of getting used to it and making sure we use it all the time because my husband tends to forget. I arm it when I'm in the car and I'm not really uncomfortable with the manual features and most of the time, I'm going to be rushing around. But I keep forgetting the passwords and the numbers which is up to me.

    If I had a recommendation to Guardian, it would be to make sure that whoever is doing training is doing consistent training in quality control and ensuring that these guys are kind of saying the same thing. The guy that was doing our work was a subcontractor, so I think he felt like he could be totally autonomous and that Guardian was not his employer and he was doing them a favor.

    We met Samantha, the sales representative of Guardian Protection Services, at the house and we picked all the stuff that we were putting in the house. The installation guy came and he was professional, nice and helped us get everything we needed. He showed us how to use it, went through everything we needed to know, cleaned up and left. He was super nice.The system is now on the phone, on the computers and on the wall. It’s great. And my cat set if off like four times. They keep calling me and I keep going, “Disregard. I just left the house five minutes. I’m pretty sure there’s not a burglar in there at 8:00 in the morning.” Because we have nothing but boxes I’m positive.

    The gentleman from Guardian Protection was very nice. He went over and above what he was supposed to do. I liked that he came in with the little footie-shoe things on. He cleaned up any mess and took any garbage out. I was very pleased with what he did. But we had a little issue with something that he said that would be taken care of, and when the tech got there, he said that that was not what they do. The tech had to call his manager and told him to go ahead and do it if he can do it. And now, they're still not done. We got a letter saying there was a couple of things that they were supposed to hook up. We just have to make an appointment to get them out there because we're not living in the house yet. So, I've got to get back to them as to when we'll be available for them to come back.

    When we moved to a new location, Guardian Protection Services was offered to us and the speakers through which you could play your surround system caught our attention. The installation was fine and the installer did a good job. Then, if we have a false alarm, they normally follow up and give me call. But I'm not really sure how to program my speakers into the outlet. I wanted someone from the technology or IT department to help me and walk me through it and they told us they were going to follow up. That's the only part that's missing and the system is working fine so far. We had ADT before and they didn't program the alarm properly so when the alarm would go off, no one would call in. But with Guardian, they always call when the alarm system goes off. It appears to be a great system and I feel more secure at nighttime when I'm sleeping.

    I had an incident that made me a little uncomfortable and I realized I should get a security system installed. The leading company in the area said it would take six weeks to send someone out, so I asked my neighbor what she has, and she said she has been very happy with Guardian. And they were able to send someone out within a few days. Their representatives were really good. The guy who came to do the installation came on time. He was very new to his organization but not new to security, and he really knew his stuff. And they were really busy and he had been pulled from another district office in Pennsylvania. He realized the camera was defective and he wound up somebody to come back to finish the installation. So, aside from the little equipment glitch, the installation was smooth, and I felt like I was getting an experienced person and company.

    I chose the appropriate amount of protection and the features that made sense for me, and all the different features are working. I set off my alarm this morning by mistake, and they called promptly. And they realized that I was the owner, and it was an error and not a natural break-in.     The installation of our security system from Guardian went fine. However, they put the inlet for the cable inside a cabinet door. So we had some issue getting some of our computer stuff up and running. They really need to think about where they put certain parts of the system. They placed one motion detector where they thought was the best spot, but in hindsight, it was in the middle of the wall and it is tough to hang pictures.

    I've had other home security systems in the past and Guardian Protection Services is better because there are more features. They had somebody come out for the installation and they were good. Then, I did not know something about the system so I had to call the customer service and they were pretty good in helping me out. The only thing is that I asked them to blank the monitor they put up in our room so I couldn't see it at night. But even though it's blank, it's still just like a TV that's turned off but still has the light on the screen. It's annoying and I have to put a shirt on it to keep it from glaring at me in the face. But I haven't had any issues other than that. We got this system for my daughter, to make sure she comes home from school before I got home from work to a secured house. And I feel better about that.

    Guardian Protection Services had the best pricing then and we’ve been with them for 15 years now. I really enjoy being able to set my alarm from my phone. But I need to call and find out how to get it set up properly again. The last time that we did this, I was home, and the tech entered all of the information on my phone for me. This go-round, I wasn’t home and I have to set up a password still, and I just haven’t had time to do it yet. We also have not used the new digital panel. It’s very bright, very large and bulky compared to the smaller one that we used to have. I know it’s newer and hi-tech, but I’m not sure if I’m really thrilled about it.

    I have always felt better with having my system. In fact, the door blew open at 6:00 in the morning when we had a massive wind. I got up at 6:45 and my front door was wide open. So, I checked my security system, I looked to see if there were any other doors open, how long has it been open, were the motions triggered. It was really nice to be able to make sure that no one was sitting in my house hiding.

    Product does a great job in setting home security both remotely and locally. The problem I have is with their billing. They charge you 2.00 to send you a bill which makes 0 sense. The second is that you can't seem to send them a check and they can properly process the check. It's like they are trying to force you into auto take out of your account. Not something I can do. I am pretty sure that all of the home alarms are the same, except I am sure other providers don't require me to constantly call to fix their billing problems.

    I used to have a different home security system but I sold my house. I switched to Guardian Protection Services because it was part of my Ryan Homes package. However, I felt a little rush with the sales part of it. The salesman didn’t tell me if I can get a keypad up there and that none of my windows had contacts. So, I felt like he didn’t do what he was supposed to do because it was basically saying, “This is all you have and this is all you can get.” And then when the guy came to install it, he said that they could have done all the other stuff but I have to ask for it. So, I didn’t get anything that I thought that I should have.

    The installer was fine. They called me and set up an appointment. He then came to the house and activated the system. I just got a keypad and a motion detector. They seemed okay right now. I’m just a little disappointed that the windows didn’t come with contacts because someone can open a window, and they can get in my house without the alarm going off. Everything seems very standard and I don’t feel any more secure. I think they should explain more in detail of what you’re actually getting with your package. I wouldn’t tell others to get Guardian Protection. I'd tell them to do more research on different security companies that offer more for the same price.

    I have a brand-new house and Guardian Protection came during the closing and I just went with them. Their sales rep showed me the application and how to do it on the phone and I like that. On the other hand, the installer called me beforehand and he was here right on time. He was fast and he did a great job. However, when you set up to “away” using their smartphone feature, it tells you that the sensors are activated which makes sense. But if you close the application and you open it again, it will say the sensors are not activated. I think that’s an application problem and not the system. Furthermore, I was never told that I was going to get charged $2 to get a paper bill and if I didn’t do the paper bill, I will get $2 off. So, I had to call the billing department and have that taken care of. If somebody called me at the beginning, I would have gone with paperless.

    Guardian Protection Services is more in contact with me than my previous provider. They call me periodically and ask me how the service is going on, which the other service did not do. Their reps were very professional. Their installation team was very professional too and very accommodating. However, one of my cameras is not working and one of the alarms in one of my properties is not working either because the battery is gone and we can't find the battery for the thing.     The Guardian installer was on time and professional. He explained everything thoroughly, so I feel like I understand how to use the system properly. He was supposed to install the motion detector, but for some reason he wasn’t able to. I work from home and I was thinking about getting a pet, and he suggested that I should try to get an even swap to get a video camera instead, especially given that I’m on the third and fourth level of a condo. Coming down all those steps, he said that it would benefit me to have a video camera instead of a motion sensor. The last time they called to see if I was satisfied with service, I mentioned it to them and they said they’d get back with me. I haven’t heard anything yet, but everything's been good so far. This is my first home and my first system, and it seems pretty user-friendly. It feels a little better to know that I have another form of security aside from locking the door.

    The installation with Guardian Protection Services took a while as they were booked. I moved things up, but it was touch and go there for a while to get their attention to get the installation done in a timely manner. When the gentleman came out, he was very responsive and knowledgeable. They sent one of their better techs, and he had been with the firm for over 20 years. He did additional things to get the installation done, so it was over and above. From the installation standpoint, when it got done, it was very professional.

    However, ADT is more responsive and is 24-hour. We've used them for years. With Guardian, when you try to get ahold of them, they have a little bit of hours. So, if you kind of use a scale, price-wise, ADT is more economical from that aspect. Additionally, being a retired military, with ADT we got a further discount. We’re paying about $15 a month more for the Guardian than we were paying before with ADT. Nevertheless, Guardian's customer service has also been very responsive.

    The monitoring from the cellphone is very peripheral and nice to have. But my wife still looks out for my cellphone as I am not a cellphone person -- never had been and never will be. It's a generation thing as I'm a product of the 50s and 60s. All these bells and whistles are fine, but to be able to reset my alarm system from 15 miles away, if I didn't do it when I left, there was something wrong. Still, overall, it the device performs well although it is a bit more complex than ADT.

    There were some things with the pre-install that the sales end of it could have been a lot better. They just wanted to get it done. What we ended up with was a system that if we had additional time, it could’ve resulted in a better end product. Also, they have to give time to consider options since we felt rushed. The pricing for what we are getting and what we had with the other company are miles apart. I’ll have to evaluate seriously if I want to continue with Guardian or if I want to go back to ADT.

    I contacted Guardian when I purchased my new house. I had one follow-up just to make sure everything was set up after the installers came through, and answering just general questions. The installation was fairly straightforward. I hadn’t gone through the entire house just because of the time frame of when I sold my house and bought my current one. I thought I was going to need some more sensors initially, but it turned out that the previous owners had a former system that had really good sensors so it all integrated. They weren't wireless but Guardian went ahead and waived the cost to change it over to a new wireless motion sensor.

    The tech was very professional, answered all my questions during the initial setup and went over the keypad. He let me know that there was a smoke detector that wasn’t currently active and the different costs if I wanted to get new ones with GPS or get things that I could buy from that like new machines integrated in the home.

    The alarm app come in handy a few times, even my wife was calling me saying she has her arms full, disarm the alarm before she gets to the door. And the best part is it feels secure having Guardian. Its an upgrade compared to my previous one. It’s a good value for the money. I haven’t had any hidden fee that we didn’t know it was going to get charged for the cost upfront.

    The young man from Guardian was polite and, for the most part, helpful. But you could tell 15 feet away from the kid that he smoked a lot, although he didn’t smoke in the house. The initial activation visit was fine but it turned out that there were a couple things that weren’t explained to me, which would have probably avoided some problems that took place a few weeks later. I had this thing go crazy on me. My phone just absolutely exploded with notifications and I didn’t anticipate that. I was away from the house and it ended up turning into a police visit. A gentleman came out two days ago and was very helpful. He took a lot of time to show me a couple of things and we had some really good discussions.

    I’ve never had a security system before. I got my dog. My kids are grown and I have deadbolts and keys. Those are all I need. I deadbolt the entire house and the garage door is always locked. If somebody can get in here and take care of business, they would with or without an alarm. Sooner or later, they’re going to get caught whether I have an alarm or not. Besides, the area is well patrolled and we can tell that in the real estate taxes we pay. But I don’t intend to live here if I live in old age. I’m going to probably sell this place within the next three years and knowing that, I thought it would be smart to put a security system and the wiring in place rather than selling without.

    I’ve been here already over a month and I’ve been using the alarm system. I’m a lot more familiar with it and comfortable with using it. But more than likely, I’m going to deactivate the thing. I’m more preoccupied about turning it on and turning it off so I don’t get a ticket from the township of Randolph. The only thing that appeals to me is the ability to crack the garage door open from afar if I need somebody to get in the house. I also like the ability to control my thermostat.

It was part of their contract and I pay monthly. The sales rep sat down with us and he just wanted to know where everything was going to go. When we moved in and the gentleman came and hooked everything up and even explained everything. We had a lot going on that day. We had movers coming in and he was there. It worked out well. Everything was smooth. The techs were also professional and they gave me a tutorial on how it works.

    I used to work in a bank and we had the alarms on the vaults, so I know how to work them. My husband travels for work and it's good to have it when he is not around here. The equipment is fine and you can’t even tell it’s here. My smartphone is also set up, but I haven't used them yet. I feel safer with it. I can set it when I go to bed to stay, so in case somebody tries to get in the door then I would know. I would recommend them.

    I still have an ADT security system in my warehouse and I like it better than Guardian. But I went with Guardian because they already had it in the house we were moving into. The old stuff was there. But I didn’t care for the lady that sold us the deal because she told us false information. I went over that with Guardian but they wouldn’t do anything. She said it was a promo deal and I was told it was paid in full. But it turned out it wasn’t and I had to pay that again. They said it did not make it through. She couldn’t do it over the internet so she had to hand sign some papers because where we’re at didn’t have good service. This is what was filled out and sent in, this is what it was.

    The installation crew did alright. They were on time and friendly. But the first guy seemed like he was more interested on selling me the surround sound than doing anything else. And after he had left, I had trouble. Two of the contacts kept falling off, but they fixed it. And in the two different times we had problems, they called me and were prompt with solving them.

    The system's features are good. But our dog couldn’t stand the beeping when you open the door. I also like their app because if I had somebody coming over, I could go ahead and turn the system off on my phone. I can check to see if anything was open. And I can do it anywhere. It's been very helpful. We liked it and felt good about it. So everything was good except for that girl that they sent out.

    I’ve used Guardian Protection Services for almost five years now. It was recommended by my developer and I just took the recommendation. At first, when I bought the home, they had someone from Guardian meet with me to make plans as to where my alarms would be and walk me through that process really well. The system was put together by the time my house was built and I didn’t have any worries. The only time I’ve dealt with their reps was when my alarm had gone off because of accidentally putting the alarm on away instead of stay when I was home. And their reps had been friendly and helpful with asking my password, who I am, and making me feel like everything is good. They were prepared. I’ve not had any other incidents since.

    Their equipment seems to be very up-to-date and easy to use. It seems to be comparable to what other people have. Overall, Guardian Protection Services has been great. It’s easy as far as getting everything set up and answering any questions, and they were very responsive. I know that if anything goes on, my phone could ring immediately, or help would come to my house through that speaker system. I’m happy with my experience with Guardian Protection Services and I would recommend them.

    Purchasing Guardian Protection Services was my wife’s idea. We got the alarm, fire, and carbon monoxide. It was installed when the building was being built. It’s a brand-new complex and it was the only one offered in the development. So, when our unit was built, we ordered a system and they installed it. They just asked, “What windows do you want covered, doors covered, what would not?” But we are coming up to the end of our five-year contract and we wanted to end it. We’re living in a townhouse development and we have 250 units there and we don’t use the alarm system at all. So, there’s no point of us paying the monthly fee for a service that we never use.

    The quality of the equipment was sufficient but we haven’t used it in five years. Over the years, we’ve had a number of power outages and it just notified us online. That’s the only interaction we’ve ever had with the Guardian system. I'd tell others looking for an alarm system that it's fine. If I was in a single stand-alone home, I would definitely consider it. But if the person lives in an apartment complex or a townhome complex, there’s a set of eyes around in the area so it’s not necessary. Furthermore, it would be good if Guardian could come down and negotiate with their prices. As it stands now relative to other security systems out there, it’s high priced.

    Guardian Protection Services was the provider that our building contractor went through and we had a sit-down meeting with their salesman. He was a nice guy and very personable. We then picked out a bunch of stuff from them and the installation was okay. It took 10 hours to hook everything up and install. Once everything was hooked up and installed, the internet jacks weren’t installed correctly. So I had them come back out a couple of times to fix things. So far, everything seems to work all right. I had them come out to fix our doorbell, but that’s the only issue I’ve had so far.

    We live in a nice neighborhood and there’s not really much crime or concern out here. My wife was the one who really wanted Guardian Protection for the emergency function on it. It’s got a button where you can push the fire or the EMT button, and that was really the function we wanted with it. We weren’t really concerned with being robbed or anything like that. I would tell others that Guardian is okay. It wasn’t an overwhelmingly great experience just because they installed a couple things we’ve had issues with, but it wasn’t bad either.

    Pulte brought Guardian Protection Services in to do certain wiring when I was having our house built and whatever we asked, everything was there. We got Guardian's home security system and we just had it turned on in the last 24 hours. One of the Guardian guys had to come out and show us how to operate the keypad and all the stuff. He's very helpful. I'm still not sure exactly what to do, but we'll figure it out. Also, I only had talked to their representatives on the phone once and it was fine.

    Absolutely horrible company and customer service. Made us sign a contract to get a decent rate and then continued to charge our account when our account was frozen for new construction. Then in our new home they were unable to install compatible equipment to enable them to monitor our system and not only did they take our hundreds of dollars for equipment that was never installed, they decided to start charging us for monitoring 8 months later. They are providing zero service to us because their equipment was incompatible and now are all of the sudden charging us for services they literally cannot provide. They have about $500 from us for services and equipment never provided and refuse to do the right thing and cancel our contract. We did our part, they cannot provide service with our automation system and should cancel our contract since they cannot fulfill it. Absolutely criminal company.

    When we were moving to this new place, Guardian was the option that’s offered and I decided, "Why not?" We spoke to a rep and she went over all the options and then we picked the best one for us. She had all the knowledge and she did a good job explaining, but I wished she had pushed on a few things later and gave more guidance. I didn’t have any literature or anything, so what she explained to me made sense. But later on, once it was installed, I wanted to add more things to it, but I couldn’t. It’s a new construction, so once they do something, then you can’t add things to it. I’m still waiting for them to put the right thermostat that’s controlled by the app ‘cause they build up with the wrong thermostat.

    The guy came in. He said he doesn’t know anything about it. He was supposed to put a switch because that was part of the order. Since he didn’t put that in, somebody had to come back again, put the switch in again. But then he didn’t do anything with the thermostat. Two days ago, somebody put a thermostat ‘cause it’s been almost a month since I moved in and I’m still waiting for somebody to escalate the problem so I can get somebody to come and attach the thermostat to the Z-Wave system, so it’s been horrible.

    The earliest appointment was February 9th and I told them that was not acceptable, so their manager is going to escalate. I spoke to a gentleman, Randy, but he was supposed to call me last night. I left him a couple of voicemails, but I haven’t heard back yet. Other than the thermostat not working, I have been using the security system and it is great. I like that you can control using the app and you can do manual. So, it's very nice overall. It's just that if the customer service does not work, then it’s not worth having the product if you can’t back it up.

    Guardian Protection Services is fine. Their salesperson came over and made sure it was set up. It got done really quick, and they were professional. I had Vivint before, but I had to get a new system installed. It’s the same as Vivint and the other companies except for ADT. I’m not buying into a brand, as I’m buying into a price. Customers are only loyal as far as the price goes. Also, they have other things that have real value. I haven’t had to use it yet, but they are good.

    Guardian was here when we moved into the house. I contacted them one time when I had an issue and it was taken care of. We have monitors and the system we have is old. It could be better and needs to be upgraded. I've also been wanting to look into something with cameras. There are newer things that are out and about, and I was thinking of switching to a different system. I'm just waiting to get back on my feet and start looking into things. Unless Guardian has an upgrade, which nobody has contacted me about. One time, I called and had questions and they sent me over to sales but the person that I spoke with never expressed anything like that.

    I love Guardian Protection. They are excellent. They are also very alert and they respond very quickly. The reps who came and hooked the system up were very informative and very helpful. They showed up exactly on time. I love the features of the system. Everything is simplified and understandable. I haven't had any problems except with my side camera but that was due to the weather. It always showed as inactive but it's working now.

    I also wish Guardian had something that could shot the front door. Other than that, the cameras are good. It's not raggedy, it's expensive. I love the smartphone feature. I love how the alarm comes to my phone because my mom keeps making mistake and opening the door. I can be activated from my phone and makes it easy and talk to Guardian because they usually call me within a couple of seconds after it goes off. I also love how I can view my cameras.     Guardian came out early December. They positioned the camera in the wrong spot. So, they didn't actually get the whole system the way I needed it until last week. Moreover, in the theater room, I didn't like the placement where the plug is for the subwoofer. They saw me hiding cables within the walls. They put my subwoofer in the corner, but put the connection right in the middle of the wall. So, now I've got a cable that goes all the way from the subwoofer, all the way to the middle of the wall. I was like, "Okay, what was the point of me trying to hide all the cables if I’m going to have a cable exposed?” The one lady at the branch level was fine. She was okay with me in trying to get the point of times squared away. However, when I talked to a young lady at the headquarters level it ain't so cool.

    I'm dissatisfied. But the last guy was great and professional. He was on point. He got the last camera, and everything installed. He talked to me about everything that he was going to do, and he did it in a timely manner. The initial guy that came out wasn't really all that bad. He did okay too. He walked me through the system and showed me everything that was going on. He did break my vase at my home, and didn't say anything. But I wasn't too concerned about that. I was just a little irritated that. He could have just said something to me, and I can just relay, "Hey, don't worry about it. It's only $6."

    I had Monitronics before and they were really good. The only problem was the dealer. So I started calling different people and came up with Guardian. They seemed very nice. They told me that it was only a $99 pay out which I thought was reasonable. They came and set it up. We had explained to them that we wanted a camera for the lanai. So, they put the camera inside the house. It works fine in the day. But at night, you just get the delay-up from the camera. But it doesn’t worry me any because I would definitely hear somebody trying to come in. I’m not concerned about the inside of the house because we can defend ourselves if that ever happens.

    We had a problem and they were very quick to come out. The young man who came had to take pictures of everything they did wrong. But they did their job. Then they had sent me a contract to sign and I got to one part of the contract where it said something to the effect that they could unlawfully enter your house. I guess it’s the people who don’t pay their bills. I would not sign it and I called them this morning and I told them, “Look, I’ll sign an agreement to what I pay per month.” As a matter of fact, they take a month ahead. I said, “I’ll sign that but I will not give my rights up to anyone. This is my house.”

    It was a little blurry when it came to what they were installing. So, I said, “Well, I wouldn’t know what the hell they’re installing anyway,” being just a normal person. And then, when it came, I went down and I guess I was supposed to put my initials or my signature on one side. So, with that I said, “No way,” because I’ve got an 81 -year old sister, and my husband isn’t very well, and we’ve had two incidents and I’m putting in the alarm. Moreover, if you do have a fire alarm, you don’t want to use it unless you absolutely have to. That’s why we put a camera in the back and a doorbell camera. .

    I’m still waiting to hear from them. Probably they would work it out. I guess they wanted to go over what they had sent me. They said the girl who sold me the system was coming in at 11. So, I’ll see what she has to say. But if they’re going to make it an issue, I will not sign it. They can take all their stuff out of here for all I care. I’ll just go to somebody else. But other than that, they seem to be really nice and very helpful. They are very good. If you do have a problem, they come and they take care of it. I really appreciated that. I don’t mind paying for a service as long as the service works because if it doesn’t work, then it doesn’t do me any good. I like Guardian.

    Guardian had a contract deal with Brian Homes when we built the home. Their sales reps were good but they were trying to upsell us on a lot of the other things like communications and home theater stuff. We were also a little taken aback that Guardian was our only choice. The installers did a pretty good job. They asked where we wanted the security panel lines to be located in the basement and didn't dictate us. But their guy brought us down to the basement and made some suggestions. They also asked how many Cat 5 lines we wanted and where we wanted to have the little cam and cable TV. So far, we decided to stay with them. But the system that we have is outdated already and if the cable goes out, I lose my connection and my security. So I would like to have the wireless satellite system. It would be safer and for what I pay every month to Guardian, that should be part of our package.

    I just had a house built and Guardian was one of the neighborhood's lenders. The first guy I met was an area manager and he was a very nice guy. He was real friendly. He uses the service himself so it's always good to see someone use their own product. He gave us a lot of information on it and some things that would benefit us. And he didn't push anything on us. He told us based on what we told him we needed, and he gave us the options that would work best for us. So, it was a pretty seamless experience.

    The installation didn't take long and the installers were in and out. We use the system through the app on the phone to put our lights on and off. My stereo system is wireless so the app plays all our surround sound playlist which I love. It also gives the option to close our garages when we're away in case we left the garage open. It's a great idea because you can control everything. I went in one time and I didn't know the code, and the system went off quickly. A live person came over through the intercom and asked me for the password, and then cut off the alarm for me. And then they still called after that and verified to make sure everything was good. So, they're very responsive. I would definitely recommend Guardian to anyone.

    Guardian Protection Services was referred to us and it's being used in one of our shops. The sales and customer service reps were friendly and attentive. The installation team did a good job. It was quick and simple. They explained how the system works and even set it up on my phone. I like the ability to view certain offices through my phone. I also like the alerts like the e-mails that I get sent in case I forget to turn it off or whatever the case may be. The smart features are great. It’s awesome because it’s very convenient.
