When we purchased a new home and at that time, Guardian Protection Services was working with the developer. The features offered in my system is fine. However, life is an evolving thing and Guardian needs to be working the field and selling their product to the people before the competition beats them. It has been a learning process and then I realized that I have to stay on top of the industry to keep everything clean so I will be talking to Guardian down the road about making some changes. Whenever I interact with their customer service reps, they have been terrific and very thoughtful people. I have often spoken of my experience as being among a group of compassionate people. I have nothing but compliments to the lady who take the calls. Moreover, the gentleman who came in to work with me was exceptional each time.

I used Slomin's before and they weren't good. So I switched and I've had Guardian for a couple of years now. They're great. When I call, somebody usually helps me out and that's good. When I request Derek when I need help, they send him out which is also good. Derek is a technician and he's fantastic. One time, the alarm was beeping but it didn't go off. So I called and they said there was trouble in the garage. I requested Derek to come and fix the problem. They sent him and he was great. So far, the system has been working well.

I had to call a tech because my system kept saying my glass breakage in one room was not working while in actuality, it was the one in the other room. They had marked them wrong. He corrected that and got everything straight but I still had to pay $25 for that visit. But I really appreciated all he did and I told him that. Also, when I called in to have a test run, the dispatchers who have answered the phone were excellent. They were always professional and good.
I was with Vector prior to being Guardian Protection Services and I liked Vector better. Their salesmen and representatives were a lot more professional. I really would have not changed from them if the Guardian salesman didn't keep going on and on. When Guardian's salesperson was selling me their equipment, I was trying to get my grandson ready for baseball. I kept telling him that and to come back the next day but he kept telling me to hurry up. I told him that I needed to go but he kept rushing and pushing me into signing their contract. Because of that, I just did it to get him out the door. They shouldn’t come in and push people.
The people who then came to install my system seemed to have a little trouble, like they weren’t sure what they were doing. When they came in, I told them I wanted more security things on my windows. The tall guy told me that I do not need those and that I only need glass break. Suppose they take all those little things and they just cut around the glass and place lay the window up, those are not gonna make a noise. But I got them because that was what they said I needed. I wasn't impressed.
Then, when there was something that was supposed to be done but wasn't done, I tried to call Guardian several times but getting someone to answer the phone was almost impossible. Them not answering the phone was ridiculous. Luckily, I had the number of one of the techs who came out for something. That tech was very professional, knew his job, and did what he was supposed to. I called him, and told him that I could not get anybody to solve my problem. I also told him that I was tired of putting up with what was happening and that if they would just cancel my contract, I would go back to Vector. So, finally, people from Guardian came out and fixed what was supposed to be fixed. But all in all, it was a very disappointing experience.

I’ve been with Guardian for over 15 years, and they’re constantly on it if I inadvertently set the alarm off. They call me and ask for my code, and they follow up on the alarms that go off. A month ago, I wasn’t at home to do a test, and they left me a message because they wanna make sure everything was operating okay. Their reps are very cordial, and they wanna take care of the problem. They put a new pad in for us too because it wasn’t working right. I like that with our new keypad, you can just hit fire, ambulance or police, and the buttons instantly will get somebody to your house if you have a problem. Also, the technicians who came out were wonderful. When we go to bed, we turn around and feel safe knowing we have Guardian.

Guardian is better than the home security system we had. We’re in a safe neighborhood, and Guardian is more for peace of mind. I've had them for almost two years now, and my interactions with their reps have ended in results. If we needed to have something done, it has always been positive. As soon as I contact them about a problem, they put us right on the schedule to come out and get it resolved. There wasn't as much of a wait time on the phone either. The technicians who came out were professional and on time, and he knew what he was talking about. I’m impressed by the quality of the features in my system. I like everything that they have to offer, with the remote, app control for the temperature setting, arming and disarming the security system, and the SkyBell.

We highly recommend Guardian Protection Services. We called in the salesperson who was in the Youngstown area and had him come over. He showed us the system and we took it. We got their home security system in 2002 and we've been very satisfied with our overall sense of security since then. Our neighbors on both sides ended up getting a system from them because we told them how much we liked the system.
Once, the fire alarm went off and Guardian did a good job of calling us. They asked us if everything was okay and told us that they would have to cancel the fire department because they have already sent them. That was their level of efficiency. Also, everybody was nice and kind when the alarm went off because one of us forgot to turn it off. If they think something is wrong, they will call right away to make sure that everything is alright. The techs have also been good and we have had no issues with Guardian which is why we're still with them.

At the time when we bought our house, which is a new house, it was being done by a company called Ryland Homes. They made a deal with Guardian, and Guardian gave us a special deal that they would put the alarm system, and also provide all the wiring for cable TV throughout the house. It was in a competitive package compared to everybody else’s. And most people in this neighborhood have Guardian because of that. Guardian was involved in the wiring of this house when it was built and the installation of their system was done before closing.
We met with the people from Guardian and showed them where we want the alarm. We also showed them where we wanted to have telephone jacks and where we wanted to have the cable TV and HD throughout the house so that we had a modern-wired house. We miscommunicated on one door, but it has been fixed with a wireless solution. I like that I have an alarm system which I set when I leave, or I have it on at night.
I would like Guardian to charge me less a month, but that’s true with whoever I’d be with. I’ve talked to them. I’ve now just gone this month out of my contract for all the wiring. I promised them three years, and I’m in talks with them about a better deal now, because all they’re doing is providing the service. All the equipment is in place. We haven’t quite got to a good spot yet, but I think we will. Other than that, the overall functionality of the system is okay and Guardian has been good. A couple of times I forgot to turn off the alarm system and opened the door to let the dog out. The alarm would go off and the reps at Guardian would call fairly quickly.

I've had Guardian Protection Services for almost 20 years now and everything has been fine. I need a wireless system so that I can look at my phone when I’m out of town and some companies entice me to go wireless, but I don’t wanna make a big change. It would cost a lot of money. I have been using the system since I purchased the house and I haven't changed anything at all. Guardian charges me some fees and I pay extra $5 per month, and I would like to know if I can get some services, such as tests because it has been almost 20 years since they installed the system.

We had a remodel and we took out the old security system. The guy from Guardian Protection Services came on my front door and I decided to go with Guardian and see what happens. The technicians who did the installation were very professional and did a fine job. The features that are included in our system are what I need and they do what I need them to do. The overall quality of the equipment is good, although I had to uninstall it. They were rewiring where the box was and they walked me through disarming it and taking the batteries out and gave me a time period. Then, I called them at that time and got everything hooked back up, and everything has been working fine.

I’ve had Guardian for a while, but it was in my husband’s, soon to be ex's, name. I put it in my name, but Guardian was a little slow in getting it done. They said that they had put it in my name, but they didn’t take my husband's account off and they took the money from it. My soon to be ex complained about having to pay it.
When my alarm went off, I gave the lady from Guardian my passcode and she said thank you. Then five minutes later, the fire department called me. The lady called them and they called me to make sure that everything was okay before they came out. I told them everything was fine. The fire department said that Guardian called them and told them that I didn’t give the lady the right password. I called Guardian back and I told them what my password was and the guy said that was what they had. I said the lady said that I didn’t say the right one. But it got straightened out.

We bought the house from the original owner and they were using Guardian Protection Services. We looked into this company and we felt comfortable with their offering and price. It has been about a year ago that we started with Guardian and we had a technician out here walking us through the system, installing new sensors and equipment that we wanted as part of our package. They were knowledgeable and they helped us with that. We had a problem with one piece of equipment but we were able to coordinate a visit with a technician and that was repaired in a very competent manner. Also, when I worked with somebody on the phone trying to set up, reconfirm or change a meeting with a technician, the experience has all been very positive.

We've had a good experience with Guardian. Whenever I've called them, they've answered and helped me with my problem. Once, we were having false alarms and we couldn't figure out what was going on. A tech named Craig came out and he was phenomenal to work with. He was easy to talk to, very informative, intelligent, and polite. He was also very conscientious of the rugs in the house and he put on protective wear over his shoes so as not to track stuff on to the rugs. I was very pleased.
When he was at our home, we realized that one of the motion detectors was marked living room, but it was actually the kitchen motion, and that was the one that was malfunctioning. The issue turned out to be the battery. It was in there longer than it probably should have been. I had Craig replace all the batteries and test the system out to make sure it was working optimally. We also talked about possibly adding some glass breaks or other items to the system down the road. I can't do it right now, but he talked about options that were available that would better secure the house and might even save me some money. When I get ready to add to the system, I will definitely call Guardian. I'd also like Craig to come back.

Guardian was the first company that solicited me when I bought my house, which is inside a gated community. So, the system is unnecessary, but it's fine. Its installation was lengthy and they didn't do my garage door. I don't have a code on my keypad and that should have been included for the price that they charge, which is considerably more than other companies. They're on the expensive side, and that is a disadvantage. But their reps are very helpful and nice. Once, I had a problem with my alarm and I had to buy a battery, but I didn't know that until I called them.

Guardian's dealer by the name of Home Guard scammed and lied to me and got me stuck with two contracts with them and my previous company. Now I owe thousands thanks to Guardian/Home Guard. Stay away from this company!

I've had Guardian Protection Services for several years now and I feel more secure having their system. I just had the burglar alarm and my alarm around my neck and they're fine. The customer service reps have been very kind too. Also, the last technician who came here was very nice. He knew what he was doing and I admire him. I recommend Guardian Protection.

We bought a new house and switched to Guardian. Our interactions with their reps were good and they were able to answer our questions. We've had Guardian for a year and two months now, but we are still getting used to it. The system's features are fine, though. My wife wanted some specific features and we were able to customize our package.

Had a representative named Collin called to sell me this system. What they fail to tell you is that the system is completely useless because they do not obtain the permits with local law-enforcement for you in order to actually monitor your home like other providers do. If you read your contract closely it is in there that YOU are responsible to go through the trouble of contacting law-enforcement and obtaining a permits as well as paying all fees related to it and Guardian will not begin actually monitoring your home until you contact them with the permit number!
Again, this is something they fail to tell you intentionally and I had to call back and have somebody in Customer Loyalty dept check with the permit dept to verify this was the case for the county I live in. Fortunately I realized it right before the installation guy pulled up into my driveway and was able to immediately turn him around and back out the door. I was also within the three day window to cancel with no further issues but you have to mail a copy of the notice of cancellation on page 5 of your contract within three days. It is an extremely dishonest practice to sell someone a burglar alarm system hook, all the equipment up into their home and know that it is completely essentially useless! Stay away from this company. I felt very scammed!!!

When I bought my house, the builder said that they recommended Guardian Protection Services. They said that most of the people in the neighborhood were using Guardian. I decided to go with them as well and everything went smoothly as I was getting everything set up. They installed my system and I haven't had any problems since. I like how I can arm and disarm the service through my phone. If somebody wanna come in and I don’t wanna give them the code or something, I can disarm the system.

We did some upgrading with our Guardian system two or three years ago. Thus far, we have found that the features of our system are fully adequate. Also, their customer service reps have always been positive and professional. I'd recommend them.

Guardian Protection Services was offered in the builders that we used to build our house and their reps guided us in the options for our system. The features in our system are okay and the smartphone features are easy to use. However, the price is a little higher compared to all the other services that are being offered from other companies and I wish they would either lower the price or include more features for the phone.

I have been a Guardian customer since 1999. In 2012 I moved from a house to apartment in the same town. They moved and improved my security system for nothing. In 2014 I moved back to the same address I moved out of. The salesman who came over told me I had to sign a contract. I should never have done this. He did not tell me it was a 5 year contract. Now I am moving out of state and have 10 months left on the contract. My monthly bill is $45. To cancel this service I have to pay a $700 fee because I am canceling "early". None of this was explained to me at time of contract contract itself was minuscule and sent via email. BEWARE. They are AWFUL! Was able to negotiate to only pay rest of months due. GO TO ADT... Have them at summer home. MUCH BETTER! GUARDIAN IS A HUGE RIPOFF.

I like the features of my Guardian system very much. I use the smartphone features and they tell me when I turn it off and on, and I can turn the system off if I am away from the house and forgot or letting someone in and wanted to turn it off. Guardian also is very attentive. They have called me a couple of times to check on how I am doing, so it was very nice. With the previous company I had, I never heard from them. Also, they kept changing their name and the prices were going up.
The only problem I have with the Guardian franchise here is that they don't always get back to me. I left a message for them because I am moving and I need to set up to let them know that I need to move my system, but they have not answered. The technician that they sent out for the installation of the system was very good and he told me that he'd be happy to move my system. However, I don't have his number. If I could get a hold of him, I probably would get better service. Also, I would've liked Guardian to be a little less per month, but I know it is a good system and I'm happy with it.

My system from Guardian is a good product. Installation was easy and the technician was very professional. I’m disabled and I always carry the monitor with me for if I fall and can't get up, I can press for emergency.

I initially thought that purchasing a security system was part of the package of getting a new home in a retirement community. But as we progressed, it was little bit more than that. It was more of a you-must-have-it-in-this-neighborhood situation. I felt pressured. After I got the Guardian Pro system and it was installed, the alarm company did not communicate with the builder as to the wiring for the Wi-Fi that goes with the alarm system. There was an additional expense that I had to incur there which was rather expensive, and I was not told about that.
After the system came in, I was notified about six months after the system was in by the local police department that I needed to get a permit in order to have this alarm system. The detective said everyone in my neighborhood has an alarm system but none of them needed it. I asked why and he said that in my neighborhood nobody works, everybody’s home and on their front porch. If they're not on the front porch they're on the window. They see more than the police could ever see. We never had a call out there. We never had any burglary, criminal, fire or whatsoever in the whole neighborhood of 3,200 homes. So what took place was an overzealous sale tactic to a population that’s vulnerable and it's unethical in my view.
When I went to talk about the canceling the service because I had to get this police permit, Guardian Pro was very rude and disconcerting. It was almost as if I was a problem and they weren’t. There was a mention of $1,300 fee for me just to cancel the service. Even though I paid all of the terms in my contract, I wrote them a check for $800. I paid all of my monthly monitoring fees although I never used any monitoring at all. I don’t owe them anything, but I'm not allowed to cancel the contract until 60 days before the last day of the 36-month contract.
I bought the system from a company here locally in Texas, and the Guardian Pro never provided me a copy of the contract. What happened was they sent it by email and they mistyped one letter in my email, so it never arrived as I investigated. If they're going to email a contract, it should have some sort of receipt acknowledgement that the person actually received that contract instead of just assuming that they typed everything in correctly. I'm operating with a contract that I've not even seen and all these terms of this contract. Now that I started to read the contract, it had things in it like I can't talk to their customer service people in a mean way. They were all very subjective. It could be two different things. Apparently these were terms of the contract that by me signing the information with the local sales agency, that submitted me to the contract that was with Guardian Pro that I didn’t get.
The final thing is that I met with the name Guardian originally because their name wasn’t anonymous with me. I have a home in Kentucky which is protected by Guardian alarm service and everything works great. I have a very different alarm system. I have external and internal cameras. I have a need for them there. So I signed for it. I called and inquired about the system there, and then one called me to sell me a product. I was under the impression that when I went with Guardian this time that that was the same company I was dealing with in Kentucky, but it's clearly not. If it was up to me, I would rip the system out right now and throw in the garbage because I feel bad about them. There's really a problem in the way they do business and the way that they talk to and treat people.

I've had this system for about 6 years (had a 3 year contract). Service was cancelled on 8/9/2016. The motion sensor started beeping January 2019 (first time battery needed changing). I've tried several times to open the sensor with no luck. I've viewed YouTube videos. No luck. Sensor will not open. I've had several male to try to open the sensor. No luck.
Today I took it to Battery Plus. They cannot open the sensor to change the batteries. I called Guardian and spoke with a female who hung up on me then I called back and spoke with a male who told me they can schedule a service call for $105.00 first 1/2 hour and it would be $22.00 for each additional hour and if I don't want to pay the service call I can unplug it from the wall. Why should I pay $105.00 just to have 2 AA batteries change. The sensor was defective from the beginning. Yes it took all these years because the battery never needed changing until now. The alarm has never been turned on. Check your records.

I have two patios and the package I initially had with my previous company didn't have sensors on my patio doors. They only covered one and they charged 40 bucks. Guardian gave four sensors and the pad that covers the temperature on my house. For the price, their system was great and it turned out that they were good. I'm glad their guy came and knocked on the door. It took 40 minutes to install the system and now, I have a better setup, more sensors and more security. The motion sensor on my previous system broke off and kept falling on the floor. With Guardian, I had no problems and the features are great. I have the app on my phone and I can set the alarm. It's easy, simple and I feel secure with it.

I've been getting a security system for as long as I've been a homeowner and this time, Guardian was recommended when I bought my home. I have seen monitoring services cheaper than theirs. But the reps gave me what I asked for, and during the installation, they did what I wanted. Guardian does what they say they're gonna do. My Guardian Protection system seems to be working fine, but I wish there was a Wi-Fi keypad to where if I forget to set the alarm if I leave the house, I can set the alarm on an app. I don't think my panel is Wi-Fi capable. But other than that Guardian Protection's customer service has been good and the technicians who did the installation were professional. They explained everything that they were doing, and it was great.

I really recommend Guardian. It is better than Vivint. Vivint was very expensive and even after I wasn't using a lot of the things they were charging me for, the price was still high. When I set up my Guardian system, I had a wonderful rep. I dealt with him before when he was working for Vivint. He was a very nice guy. The installers were the same. They explained the system very well and it wasn't really as complicated as the one that we had from Vivint so we like it.
With Guardian, I like the way that we use a remote control to take the alarm system off. And we're not having any problems with that like we did with Vivint so it was really good. There is also one feature that I really like. When we come in and out, I can see a notification on my email. When we're going out, the doors lock. When we come back in, they open. I like seeing that and knowing what's going on. It will let me know on my app that someone came in. The only thing is when we were with Vivint, I had a digital lock on the door. I still have this digital lock but Guardian is not compatible with it.

We built a new home and signed a contract with Guardian Protection Services for 5 years. The contract states you will pay a penalty of about 1.5K if you discontinue service unless you are moving to an area where they do not offer service. After 3 years and 10 months of paying diligently our job ended and we had to move for a new job.
We moved into a rental that didn’t have a system compatible with Guardian’s system. Therefore we could not continue with their service but because we lived in an area where they did offer service. We had to pay the penalty or continue to pay the monthly service charge for a service we were not receiving. The only other option was to freeze the account until we moved into a home that had a compatible system. We were so disappointed with how uncooperative and uncaring they were that we didn’t want to ever do business with them again. We are having to pay the monthly fee for 14 months for service we are not receiving.

Guardian Protection Services was part of the package when we bought the house and we just took it. We didn’t do anything different and everything went great. That was back in 2007 and since then, whenever the alarm goes off, we get an immediate response. Most of the time, it is usually due to we didn’t close the curtain and it was blowing by the vent, and it set off the motion detectors while we were traveling. The reps from Guardian are usually very responsive and they take care of everything right away. It feels pretty good knowing that we have the Guardian system installed.

Two weeks after my hard wire installation throughout my house I noticed that the alarm box that stores wiring & connections wasn't closed all the way. As I get closer I see that a screw was used to keep it closed. I decided to take the screw out to look inside. To my surprise it was a big mess! Out falls what looks like a bird's nest, wires everywhere. There's so much wire it wasn't allowing the door to close so a screw was used. We also discovered that 2 windows were not hard wired. A lot of calling, a lot of waiting, a lot of time wasted being given the run-a-round but kept hoping they send a person who will fix the problem. Guardian stopped using the company that did our installation because their work was so bad and they not any better for not taking responsibility to right a wrong.
We had an appointment today with Guardian ONCE AGAIN. They came and left doing nothing. He agreed to the terrible installation on their part and before leaving said someone will be getting in touch with us and they did. Guardian concluded that 2 years was a long time therefore no repairs would be done. The cost to repair their mess is about $100 in which they should absorb but instead they want to charge me $600 to fix their mess. Customer Service at its finest the GUARDIAN way.

I would NEVER use this company again. From the Sales Department that sells you what you think you're getting to the horrible customer service and hours and days, now weeks and months trying to resolve my issues. I have resorted to telling my story so others will go elsewhere before making the mistake we made. Ron, The first installer said he had 20 years in the business.
After 5 hours and holding me hostage in my home, not allowing me to leave, as we where in the middle of a move. "I will only be an hour". 5 hours later. I was still dealing with the idiot. I finally asked him to leave and I was not happy as my hall light was no longer working, due to poor installation. He opened holes in walls and left them, I was in disbelief, so I called my partner after Ron left and then called the rep Marcela ** that sold the system, never got a call back and after days of trying to get her on the phone, went above her head, and kept climbing the ladder. 6 people in I was finally sent to the insurance company CHUBB by their customer service department. Easy way to get me off their back. Thinking I would get somewhere, it's all a scam.
No one ever came out to the property to see the damages. I sent photos and lots of them. Only to be told "We don't see any damage. One installer tilted my leather swivel chair over on its side to get to a plug and bent the frame. $4,000.00 chair now broken and leans to one side. Half a day to clean up the mess left and days on the phone trying to get compensation for the broken light and chair. NOTHING! The worst part was, we did our homework and went with the number one rated company. Ordered the system. It arrived and when we saw the home was wired already we decided, "oh, it's probably easier to just hook up the system here already" WRONG ON EVERY LEVEL! DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE MADE... GO ANYWHERE BUT GUARDIAN!

Guardian is great. Their representatives are very nice to me and very kind. The guy who came here really knew what he was doing and did a good job. He gave me cameras and I also got the thing on the wall that you press. I can also watch my whole house on my cellphone while I’m at work. I can see who comes to all my doors and see if someone’s entering my home. That’s a good thing. I feel good about my system's features and if you wanna expand or get more, it’s always good too. I just found out that Guardian also services Florida. I have my vacation home there so they’re gonna help me service that area as well.

Guardian is installed in our brand new house but we didn't know that there was a three-year requirement. The last one we were at had a month-to-month basis. Also, Guardian's price wasn't competitive. On the other hand, Guardian's product is good and we have upgraded to cellular. I would recommend Guardian Protection Services.

I had ADT before but Guardian Protection gave me a better rate. It saved me $15 a month, so I switched. The installation went great. They went over the system, they labeled things and they went over everything with us. We like the features of the system. I use it for the Nest on my front door. It was nice to know that Guardian has that option available that I wouldn’t have even thought to ask when they were here before. The quality of the system is awesome and it's totally worth it.

I live in a condo and majority of the neighbors have the same company. The previous owner of the unit also had the same company so going with Guardian was easier. We just called them. The installation was also very quick and efficient. The supervisor came in and did a walk-around on all the windows and doors. He made sure that everything worked and that I understood how the system operated. It was good. You can even use the app on your mobile devices. It's great. You don't have to worry about the system. Wherever you're at, you can activate or deactivate the system. I like that feature very much.
I've been using Guardian for at least three years now and we're happy with the system. We've had no problems with it except once but it was because one of the batteries had to be replaced. They themselves detected it and offered to come and replace it free of charge. Then once they notice the electrical power going down, they will call and notify me. So they're very professional. Guardian is doing the job.

Getting a home security system with Guardian would be worth it. The team who came to do the installation was great. They added the extra pieces we wanted like the motion sensors and the window breaks. There were no worries and there was no hassle. It was perfect. We were able to build exactly what we needed and so far, it has also been fantastic dealing with their representatives. They call to check in and see how things are going. They also recommend that we test the system every once in a while and we've had no issues. Then whenever we leave, we use the smartphone to arm and disarm the system. So that works fine as well.

Guardian's reps came to my door and we talked about their system. They were able to use my existing equipment so I decided to go with them. Additionally, they put in a new keypad and a doorbell camera. The features they have are were adequate and their equipment has been doing fine. I like how I can use the system from my phone. That way, I don’t have to run through the house. While I believe Guardian is a little pricey at 40 bucks a month, nobody's perfect and I feel that my wife has felt better knowing that we have their system.

We have the basic alarm and everything's good. The system tells me when it is alarmed and when it's unalarmed. It also lets us know when the backdoor is open or the beeping sounds will keep going on. So we haven't had any problems. It still alerts us every time we put in the code. Guardian also called me last year to see how everything was going. They are very helpful and if we have any other questions, they answer them. They are also on time in getting back with us and if we're behind on a bill, I really haven't had any trouble of late fees. I would recommend it.

We moved and I had the service moved to my new house. When we were in our old house the service was $10 cheaper than what we are paying now. I called on Monday to talk about canceling the service because of financial difficulties. I was told someone would call me back either later Monday or at least by Tuesday. Wednesday rolls around and still no callback. I called Guardian again and finally reached someone. I was told regardless of not having the money to pay for their service and buy groceries I could NOT cancel their service. I would have to buy my contract out.
The lady offered me the service for $10 less but I would be under a NEW 3-year contract! The point of ending service is to have enough money at the end of the month to buy food. But the company doesn't care. It is all about getting their money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THEIR 3 YEAR CONTRACTS. THEY WILL SUCK YOU DRY!! I would give them zero stars but it wasn't allowed.

We got a new house and got Guardian Protection Services as they were the contractor for the community. We had the installation 3 years ago and the guy who came out and fixed was good. At present, Guardian is doing good, especially when making sure that it is a false alarm. They call back through the system, make sure that we are home, and confirm that it was a false alarm. That's one thing that I like with them because they have the patience to make sure it is the owner who is talking rather than someone who's trying to act like a homeowner. They're cool headed people. However, Guardian is a bit pricey compared to what I'm seeing now in the market. Their contracts are very long term which is unreasonable and not something that I would like to have. It is a five-year contract rather than one-year or something if they want to get the cost of their equipment back. Still, I would definitely recommend Guardian Protection Services.

I had moved into a house with a Guardian system in it. That was about 17 years ago. The interaction with the rep from Guardian has been very good. My two most recent episodes had been when I moved into the house that I'm in now. It was being built. A sales rep actually came out. We discussed various options. It was all good information, and he was very helpful.
I had another discussion about a month or so ago with an in-office inside sales person. Having read my contract and if it started if I did nothing, the contract would roll over for another five years which is way too long for anything to roll over. But the rep was very helpful in, first of all, agreeing that we would go on a month to month basis when this contract terminated. But we both agreed that probably around April or May of this year, we would discuss various other renewal options for the security system in the house and different products that are now available through Guardian. So it's all very good.
Also, the overall features were great. But one caveat about them is that I just have a very basic, barebones system here. That's really all that I feel that I need, although I am open to further discussion when I talk to the sales folks in April or May. Also, I don’t like the pricing on the system. It's $45 a month, and when I balked at that, almost five years ago when the house was being constructed, I was told that that monthly premium or fee embraced the fact that they were installing a system in the house, and they wanted to amortize it over five years.
I get that, but I came from a home where the billing was about $27 a month because the system had been installed a long time ago and I was on a month to month. The pricing is a bit high, for what other competitors are offering. And when I spoke to the salesperson, I told him that we need to talk about that and we need to see what's available going forward.
And another critique was the system alarm went off one time. I was away and about 650 miles from home. For whatever reason, Guardian called the police before they called me. That was just unacceptable because I had to pay the police for a false alarm. It was at that point that the Guardian rep told me that sometimes, these systems will go off if a fly or a spider is on or moves across the motion detector.
I never knew that and it has concerned me every time I leave this house and I put the motion detector on. So that's a technical issue that we need to talk about going forward because I don’t want false alarms especially if I'm out of state. I don’t want to pay the police to come out here and look at a house that's got a false alarm going on. Even so, any time that I've needed Guardian, they have been available for consultation. They are also very easy to deal with.

Guardian was the one that the builder was dealing with and I didn’t have to get them but I wanted to get it pre-construction, so I went with them. They also took care of my surround sound down in my video room, my den and my man cave. So, all the wiring was one-stop. The reps from Guardian came, explained the system to me and took their time. They were very patient with that and I was very happy with everything. It was done well. I’m used to the way this panel works and I should use it more. It's a very simple but straightforward system and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use it. I can arm the house using the smartphone feature and I did at the beginning when it was a unique novelty but now, I don’t. I just hit the buttons on the way out.
Guardian has called me and asked if I was happy with the service and if there were any other things I could get. I'm thinking of putting some motion detectors out in the backyard because it's dark in my back because it's the woods. So, they’ve offered to come out and do that for me. I would go with them because they built everything else, so it would stay consistent. However, I had a fire and Guardian didn’t pick that up. I never hit the fire button but with the smoke alarm system going off, they would have been called. The fire department came but Guardian never called me. It was probably me and lack of training but I am meaning to follow up with them.
There is no doubt in my mind that you got to have a system. My wife and I are by ourselves and there are no kids here. It's not a busy place so, I wanna make sure that everything is locked and covered. I'm a retired policeman so I don't know what bad can happen and I'm very concerned about that. Guardian is a little pricey but has good quality work. I would recommend them.

Our Guardian Protection system came with the house and it does what it needs to do if the alarm goes off or something bad happens. From what I understand, the install was a pleasurable experience. The tech was a nice guy who was very thorough and pretty quick. Although I had some issues with billing, which was a pain, they got it resolved. Overall, I'm relatively pleased.

Guardian was the service that was available when I was building my house. They're perfectly adequate and when I turn on the alarm, it works. However, one time, we had come home from a trip and had not disabled the alarm. But we called Guardian up. They called and we resolved the issue. It was fine.

The Guardian home security system was installed by the builders for free. I then met with a salesperson to explain it to me. Their rep was very professional and answered all my questions. So far, the quality of the features is fine and it does what it's supposed to do. I can also activate the system from my phone without any issues. Renewing their service was easy as well. I'm pleased with Guardian.

When we bought our Ryan Home, we signed with Guardian for an Alarm system to be installed. After we moved in, I set up an appointment to have the service activated. I took an entire day off of work for this appointment. The tech never showed up. I called the office to inquire and they said the tech wasn't coming because he couldn't find our house. I told them that was funny because they had already been there to install the equipment.
The man I spoke to was mean and rude as if it was my fault. I told him to please not bother rescheduling and that we would not be using this company, and I told him to cancel our account. 5 months later, out of the blue, we started getting bills. I have called 3 times to speak to customer service and I repeat the same information every single time. The account never gets closed. I absolutely refuse to pay for service that we have never had. I would rather go to court if that's where Guardian would prefer to work out our differences. No service= no money. sorry guys, but good try. Keep sending the bills and I will keep throwing them in the trash.

I was interested in a mobile alert that goes for about 500 feet from my house. The Guardian rep was very knowledgeable and very casual. He made me see the advantages to it and he did not push anything on me. Installation of the Guardian system was very easy. Some of the house alerts that I had previously were used and that went very easily too. I've used the system one time seriously when I fell at about 2:00 AM in the morning and Guardian was able to call local people that were available with the first aid system and they were out here in no time. Also, the system has a key box installed on my back steps that is usable to anybody. If they need it, I will then give the code which opens the security box, so I don’t have any fears of anybody else walking in on me. All in all, I've been satisfied with the service.

AWFUL SCAMMING COMPANY!!! They have no problem signing you up for service but if you move and they can no longer provide you service they demand $750.00 cancellation fee regardless of the time remaining on your initial contract with them. Neither ADT or AT&T U-verse will charge a cancellation fee if you move out of their service area. Beware all of you home security seekers. Guardian is a 100% SCAMMING RIPOFF!!!

I'm sorry to hear you are upset with the early termination fee. When signing the contract you agreed to a 60 month term as it helps us recoup or initial investments in security equipment, labor and resources. We have offered to close the account for $750 which is less than the full value of the contract. If the new owner is willing to take over the remaining months that is also an option for you.

I’m very pleased with my experience with Guardian. Whenever the alarm goes off, they immediately alert authorities. Some of the other companies try to call you before they alert the authorities, but Guardian does not. In case of a fire, they call the fire department first, then they call me. That way, if it’s a false alarm, I can tell them that everything’s okay and they can cancel. Their staff is all fine. The system and the features are exactly what I want, and I love it. I’m very pleased with their service. I would recommend them.

We were going out of town so often so I had a security system put in. The Guardian guy came up, knocked on the door, told me he was doing upgrades to the system that I had. There's only four doors and the downstairs motion sensor so it took an hour to install. I had to contact them when the battery died and they just told me where to go buy a new battery. Overall, it works. Whenever something goes on, it calls my cell phone and life is good.

Automatic lights broke and they wanted to charge me to fix them, cameras have terrible quality, customer service is a joke. Cancelled and paid the fee just to be rid of this terrible company. They are everything wrong about Alarm companies all wrapped up in a stinky smelly bundle.

We’ve been okay with having Guardian in our home. They answered the questions I had and were pretty helpful. Also, the installers were very experienced. They had to do it twice ‘cause at first, our Wi-Fi was not connected yet. They did a good follow-up. The system is good and it's what was expected and what we wanted. It's also user-friendly.

We’ve had Guardian for 17 years. They did the set-up in our original home and it was fantastic. When we bought this home here six years ago, they did the installation for us. Everything was fine. They were phenomenal and they did a great job. The features of Guardian are great. It’s good for first line defense. It’s also good for an early warning system. It’s also a good smoke and carbon monoxide protection. So, all in all, it's quite well. One of the issues we had recently was the battery was going and I had to replace the battery. But they walked us through it and everything was fine.

We've had Guardian Protection for 25 years now and they were priced very competitively back when we first got them. They provided us a diagram and a blueprint for the company, which was very extensive because we have 125,000 square feet with lots of docks and different areas that needed to be monitored. It was very complete with the layout that they did for us.
Guardian's service has been exceptionally good. They monitor 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We get calls periodically at all times of the day and night, giving us a caution with regards to the fact that the power is off or that we have a sprinkler system that the pressure is low, and all of those kinds of warnings or call to us around the clock. While we don't have a lot of contact with the representatives because we just don't have problems, they've been super good. We have more opportunity for warnings in our business place than I do at my home. Also, the quality of the features of the system is extra good.

We've had a home security system for quite some time. We changed to Guardian Protection Services because it was a lot cheaper. We were also promised some things in this company and I hope they were telling us the truth. But so far they’ve been really good, better than the other company that we had. Customer service was very pleasant. They used the same equipment that we had from the previous provider and just changed all the batteries.

I had a great experience with the reps from Guardian. The system was already installed by the seller. When we got here, the guy came and set up the garage motion sensor. I also got cameras put in. Everybody was good, professional, courteous and did their job. I changed my mind and actually wanted to install a doorbell camera instead, and the guy who installed the cameras actually had one in the truck. So that was awesome. Since having the system, I’m safe. They alert me when somebody walks by my house because I have the motion detector turned on to my phone. And it’s good.

Guardian is my first security system here in Texas, and they had the best value overall. They were pretty flexible because when I originally purchased it, I was purchasing the extra feature of the door lock. But it would not work on any of my doors because our home was a rental property prior to that and the renter had put on additional privacy locks. Guardian installed something for the garage door opener instead.

Installing the Guardian system seemed easy and the system seems easy to use as well. I use them mostly for the cellphone app. I find it very appealing because I'm usually on the run and I'm very forgetful. Then anytime I've dealt with anybody from Guardian, it's also been pleasant. I purchased a new home and also purchased Guardian Protection Services with it. The installation of the system was done while the house was being built. I had Guardian's card sitting on the program and so I taught myself how to use the system. Also, I added a camera but I did not know if I could do that or not. I also do not know if Guardian includes the garage door opener in their system to be wireless. The keypad also looks old-fashioned but the other things I've put in were a lot more digital and nicer looking. The keypad has a little digital display and it would be cooler if it would be like my thermostat.
Also, I should've looked into it more and see what all they had to offer before I told them to put that in. I'm sure they have more than what I have. I have sensors and motion, but that’s about it. Nevertheless, I am able to use my smartphone with the system I got. The capability is nice and works well. It's like all of my other stuff. Guardian is nice to have for my kids when they're home.

Guardian Protection is the only one that showed up at the meeting when we were building our house. Initially, they were good but once we started building the house, I would email their rep and then he wouldn't respond. I had questions along the lines of installation date and time. And then whenever I would email him, he would just forward me over to some random lady who would give me a call and say my appointment's in a month. They were not even answering the question on what I thought that we ordered.
They didn't have cable ran out for these houses yet so, it took us a while to get Wi-Fi. When the guy showed up a couple of weeks later, he said we have the wrong modem or router and he couldn't even hook everything up. At least we had our speakers hooked up in our house for a while, but then when he came back, he unhooked the speakers. So, now I'm assuming that I'm paying for everything and the only thing I can really use is the home security system. It's gonna be almost a month of paying for stuff that I can't use half of it. Guardian needs to communicate to the customer a little bit better with regarding what devices they're gonna need for installation. This guy has come out four times now, wasting his time and wasting our time as well.

We used to have ADT, and we switched to Guardian because it was pretty convenient. And so far, we've enjoyed it. We got the front door camera, so it's been pretty convenient, especially I'm away at work a lot because I'm a firefighter. My wife is here all the time, so she feels a lot safer with the camera. The gentleman we dealt with at Guardian was very knowledgeable. He knew a lot about all the stuff, and explained it very well.
The system we have is fine. We paid an extra up front to have the monitor in the second floor, and that hasn’t happened yet. When they installed the stuff originally, we were told we were getting the monitor on the first floor as well as the second floor in the bedroom. But the initial guy only installed the monitor on the first floor, and they had pre-run lines wires for the monitor on the second floor, but that never got put in. But he also said that our package only comes with the monitor on the first floor. So that was kind of confusing.
The app is very helpful. While I'm at work and if the doorbell rings, they're able to pull it up and see who's at the house. It is very nice. People should go with Guardian. It is very nice to have your home secured and have that peace of mind when you're away from home, especially you'll able to look up and know that your garage door is closed, or if you left the door open.

My husband was sick and I needed the protection. Guardian was the one that the builder had information on, and most of their system was here before we moved in. Plus what they added later, they did it quite efficiently. One time my husband had a little accident on the stove, and the fire department was called. They ended up calling me and they wanted the code. I wasn't there on the day Guardian came out and installed everything but my son was. My son told me what the code was but the fire department said that it was not it, so we couldn't tell the fire department to come over. But it's all settled now and I would recommend them.

Our Guardian security system came with our new house. They gave us a tutorial on how to use the system. We had a couple of questions and they answered them on the spot. I love the smartphone features of it. It’s easy to use. The equipment works well and we even had them come back after the house was built and add some additional sensors on some windows that didn’t have sensors on them originally. Having it somewhat gives us more security when we're away than when we're at home.

Guardian seems to be pretty decent. The sales rep was good and very knowledgeable, and the customer service folks have been helpful when I have encountered issues. The technician was great. He was personable and knowledgeable. He gave me advice about the receivers. He was on-time, clean, packed up his stuff, took it away, and gave me a good tutorial. He even told me that if I have questions, I just had to call. I have taken the basic package and it seems to be good. While it's a little expensive, you get what you pay for. I'd definitely appreciate if I can get a price break break in the future.
I am having issues with my video doorbell. We haven’t been able to hear it inside the house. I don't know if there is a way I can turn it up so it is a little louder. Other than that, everything is working good and the system is helpful because you can move freely throughout the house on the stay feature, and if anybody opens the door, it definitely tightens your awareness. I would recommend Guardian.

When we got our new house, KB Home recommended Guardian and said that it was pretty much the best security company. My experience with the Guardian reps was pretty good. Although, sometime last week, a service tech came out to readjust the HDMI cables in our fireplace and he was acting really weird and making some weird comments. My wife was home alone and he made her feel really uncomfortable. It was a bad experience for her. But the first guy that came out to do the initial setup was really nice and helpful. So far, we like the system itself and it works well. My wife feels a lot better with it.

We’ve had Guardian Protection Services for about 15 years in three houses. Some friends of ours recommended them. They came in and we liked the system. I was happy with their customer service too. Their processing was quick and the only gripe I had about them was that they have missed an appointment. Other than that, we’ve been happy with the system's features. Then when a guy came to the house to offer us cameras and something else, we upgraded. One time, we tripped something up, Guardian called me pretty much directly and worked it out. I've told a couple of people about Guardian and they joined up with them.

Guardian's pricing and services were some of the reasons that I used them for both my business and my home. They were also highly recommended. But once my sales rep had a signed contract, he was extremely hard to get ahold of and just stopped returning my phone calls. Also, I just built a new home and had some of it pre-wired. The technician activated the system and he was very good. He took the time to explain things and made sure that I was aware and familiarized with everything. But after a couple of times, he stopped returning my phone calls to the point where I had to go to the manager. The manager took over and apologized but didn't say anything or offered any excuses and told me to call him from now on. Guardian is a place to go if one is having a security system installed in an existing home, but I will recommend looking somewhere else if it will be installed and pre-wired on a brand new home.

Guardian, compared to other providers, is different. With the other one that I had, it would say which door is someone coming through. I don't have any issues with Guardian but the only thing that I would like is that, like the other system, it should know when anybody's leaving or coming into the house. All that Guardian does is notify you on your phone if the door is still open for couple of minutes. It would send me a text when a door is opened or closed. That’s it. I’m satisfied with it, but in the near future we’ll probably change it because of the feature that my wife wants to have.

Guardian seemed practical so I switched to them. They have a good medical necklace for me. When I walk outside the house, I’m protected. In my age, that’s very good and that's very helpful. Guardian has been very good and I've very satisfied. I plan to stay with them. But it'd be nice to see the rates go down a little bit.
There were a couple of times I called them. I didn’t quite understand the system and I had to call for some support. Their reps were very helpful. If they didn’t know the answer, they would call someone else to talk to me and they would end up sending a service person out. They were very happy to come out and give me support. They were very careful to explain everything and they went into details. They were prompt with my service calls too. They're awesome.

Guardian is my first security provider. It came with the build of my house. They have been calling me constantly which was really good because I had to go away. The technician who came over walked me through everything when he installed our cameras. He showed me how to do the alarm system, where I needed to make sure I didn’t step over where the dogs step over to cut off the sensors, and then if I ever change my door, to make sure I got the metal plate off. He showed me a lot of things. Also, the features are good. It alerts me all the time. Every time that something goes past the side of my house or in the front, I get notifications. I love that. Everything works. Guardian is great.

A friend decided to go with Guardian since they were more local to the area than out in another state. We're customers of Guardian too and we've had it for four years. Getting it set up and getting them here to set it up for us was no problem. The tech put it on the wall, on the windows and on the doors. Guardian does the job that we need it for and we're satisfied. But we can’t use the motion detector with the dog in the house. It sets it off. Also, it’s been good every time we called Guardian. They were good when responding to the alarm. It went off a couple of times by pure accident. Now, we're having one of our sensors replaced or repaired and Guardian has to do to it. Their tech called and said he’d be here within a half hour.

I just got a home security system installed through Guardian Protection Services. I saw their information on the website and I checked the reviews online and I felt good about it. Before the installation and before I signed the contract, I talked to the customer service people from the Marketing Department. I asked questions and they answered my queries, and our interaction went well. As far as installation, there was not much information initially because somebody told me that I needed to have a Wi-Fi internet connection, so I was waiting for that, but later on, they said that I didn't need it and that it just goes on a cell tower. Once the installer came in, he gave me all the information, so it was a good experience. So far, I feel good about all the features that our system is offering. It has all the basic things.
I feel secure knowing that I have the Guardian System installed. I feel that the house will be protected, at least, from what it is doing and it is a peace of mind that I feel about. I use the app instead of the keypad because it is easy for me to go through that and use it on my iPhone. It is a good feature. The keypad is also easy to use and I was able to tell my wife and my kids how to use it. It was easy for them to understand, so feature-wise, it is a really easy thing to manage.

My mother picked out Guardian Protection Services. Their customer service has been okay and they've assisted me very well. When they started out in 2003, they had better equipment for the medical aspect as far as what was on the person. It's not like the key fob they have now.

I wasn’t getting good service from my previous security provider. The thing was squeaking and making noise, and I couldn’t get in touch with anybody. A friend of mine told me that the system may need a change of batteries. I took the batteries out at the doors because the system wouldn’t cut off. I just got sick of it. My daughter’s also sick of that thing and she has warned me after about it. So, I decided to get another security for my home. The reps from Guardian came by and was talking to me about the plan. We had a nice relationship. They have an office here that you can contact, and they gave me a card so I could talk to someone directly. The system now does not squeak and there's no more curring on. I am satisfied with the security provider that I have now.

The sales team was pleasant and they gave us lots of options. They led us on a path that we thought would be a good start for us in the new house. The tech called the night before and the day of when he was coming to install. He was very professional and he walked me through what he was doing. He also walked me through the app and how to get started. He also set me up with passwords. He was in and out in the time that they said they would be. I had asked him, however, about a door opener as we wanna add that to our package. He gave me some pricing, but he really hasn’t reached out to us since. Still, the features in our system are great. We are able to explore the web page log-in and set up our scenes the way we want to, so we are happy with it.

Guardian was the company that the builder was working with. Their rep was great in the initial meeting and then he was unresponsive. I feel like I had to chase him down just to get answers to questions he was supposed to follow up on. I never heard back until I involved the builder. Then the builder sales manager reached out to him and we finally heard back. I'm also supposed to have the wireless closet key panel because that's what the sales rep sold me. That's what he showed me and that's what's on the website. The system was installed during the build but when I came in once I closed, it was the hard-wire panel that was installed. I'm still trying to get that sorted out and switched out.
I talked to Guardian directly at least three times now. They sent someone out last week because they were supposed to rectify it last week but when he came, the ticket was wrong. It said, "Relocate the panel," and I told them that's not what I called about. He showed me his screen so, I knew he was legit. Guardian said if I don't hear back by Monday, to call them again, which I think is really poor customer service. I shouldn't be chasing Guardian down for something that I was promised and that I'm paying for.
There was one other issue that no one has seemed to be able to respond to yet either. There is a feature on the app where you can open and close your garage through the app. Which means there is a device that connects to your Wi-Fi for you to be able to do that. But what they don't tell you is that once you connect that, you can no longer use your regular garage remote to open your garage because that device takes over the main control. I've had a couple of glitches in the app already, where it gets stuck and the garage gets confused and then I can't open it. I have no other way of opening it because the remote doesn't work anymore. I called several times if someone could confirm if that's the way it's supposed to work. And if that's how it's supposed to work, then they should tell me that so I can disconnect it and just use my remote or if there is something that I need to buy in addition through the garage opening company.
It doesn't make sense that it's the one or the other thing because the remote is battery operated, connecting to the device itself. It's not interfering with Wi-Fi. It works now. But I had a glitch already and that means that's gonna happen again because technology is not guaranteed. It's beyond annoying that I don't have any resolution to that either. Other than that, the guy that came out for the system's activation was really good. Guardian offers good features and they are pretty standard from what I've seen in most of the alarm companies these days.

So far, everything has been good with Guardian Protection Services. We're new homeowners and we went with them as they were partnered up with Ryan Homes. The installation of Guardian's system took a little longer than we expected. The installer didn't seem to know much about the new system or how to install, and he was on the phone with customer support for a while. But other than that, the experience was good. The system works and it's simple and easy to use. The features offered in our system are great. I like that I can use my phone and see the front doorbell. As of right now, we're still waiting to have the garage door installed, so I have an appointment set up for that. Other than that, it's just a doorbell, turning the alarm on and off for the moment. I would recommend Guardian Protection Services. Since having the Guardian system in our home, I feel secure, and I'm also confident that when we leave the house, it is protected.

My experience with Guardian Protection has been terrible. I haven't got my LiftMaster for the garage and when I called, they squared me down and didn't make any appointment for last Saturday. When they did, the girl didn't put it on the computer. The techs still didn't show up. Now, they're saying that it's gonna be the 30th before I can get it but I'm not gonna be able to take off work to get the garage door 'cause they don't work on Saturday. I've been thinking about cancelling 'cause I don't have anything else to open up the garage. My daughter gets out of school and I can't figure out how I will let her in the house.
They were supposed to call back again this week when the lady was supposed to listen to the conversation. She said it would only take five hours. It's been four days and she still hasn't called back. It's my first time going with Guardian Protection and their service is tucked into my mortgage that I'm gonna have to pay for. It's really screwed up and I can't get out of it. I would suggest not going with Guardian Protection.

I sold my house and bought a new one, and I switched over to Guardian as they had a contract with Marion Homes. I interacted with Josh from Guardian and he was very nice. He did everything I needed, and anything I asked him, he got it done. He was friendly and a good person to work with. I also had to set up my online account, so I’ve called their customer service to get that done. It was a quick two-two-minute call, and they got me squared away. They got everything working.
The tech who did the installation was also super friendly. He called me to confirm, came in a bit early, got everything hooked up and set up, answered any questions that I had, and showed me how to use the system. That interaction went well. I like all the features of my system. I like my garage door opener. I can open it from my cellphone and from wherever I am, I can also close it. I also like my touchpad. It’s a lot more up to date than CPIs was. I’ve seen some services that I do wanna take advantage of like the front door keypad thing. I talked to the technician and that’s something I would get later on down the road. Everything is working perfectly.

I got sensors, a monitor, and the doorbell features from Guardian Protection Services. It took a while for them to get my schedule. I closed on my house in November 14, and the system didn't get installed until December 28. In spite of that, I feel secure since I have their system installed. My interaction with their sales rep was good. He convinced me to take Guardian and our communication continued by email. He was prompt, and he sent emails. Except for this week, I sent him an email and I didn't get their response yet. I've realized that my basement window has no sensor there. It was a part of the package to be monitored with a sensor.

The system was already pre-installed in the house and the rep came after I moved in, hooked it up, had it all set up and he did a fine job. I love the features of the system and I like the app which is all I use to arm and disarm the alarm. The quality of the system seems great and it works perfectly. I feel secure with it on. I had home security in the past. They are both the same with Guardian Protection Services. The interaction that I had with the reps from Guardian was good. They did a great job. They met me at the house and everything was great. The overall performance of the system is fine and basic. I just turn it on and off. Also, the features are very user-friendly. Guardian was recommended by our builder then I had a face to face meeting with their rep. He was very knowledgeable and it was a thorough appointment. It was a great experience but we had one issue. When the house being built, Guardian said that it seemed as though things on the system that we asked for were hit by lightning, so they had to move to another system. That took a little bit longer once we were in the home but Guardian was very thorough with trying to fix the issue and make the quality system. They seemed really compliant, cooperative, and willing to do whatever they have to do to meet the needs of their client. They pretty much were able to provide us with everything that we needed.
The quality of the equipment is great as well. Sometimes, I have some issues with the doorbell feature but I’m assuming that’s just the flaws of technology at times. Other than that, there’s really no concern. Also, the one thing that I like a lot is that when our alarm system has gone off, whether it’s just a matter of us forgetting to turn the panel off or otherwise, Guardian calls right away. They are super thorough and responsive. So that’s a great plus.

I used to have Vivint then I switched to Guardian. The installers who came out were good and the installation was easy. They answered all the questions and when I told them what I was paying with Vivint, they sat there and showed me why it was a better deal going with them. And they gave me a good deal. I like features of the system, too. I like the fact that it takes pictures of who disarms it so this way, for some dumb reason, if someone gets one of our codes and they come in and disarm it, they wouldn’t even know their pictures are getting snapped. Guardian is also much better than Vivint. Their customer service reps is so much easier to work with. When I had a problem with the backdoor sensor that stopped working all of a sudden, they were out the next day to fix it. With Vivint, it would take days because they’re based out of Richmond.
One time, Guardian's reps called my husband when the alarm has gone off because a bag of noodles was crunching and made it like breaking glass, which I thought was pretty cool. The sensors were sensitive and this way, if they hear a noise that they think is someone breaking in, the alarm is going off. Luckily, I disconnected the alarm quickly at the time, but that didn’t bother me. We’ve always had a security system since we’ve been here but knowing how sensitive our Guardian system is, it makes me feel not so bad when I leave the kids here and my grandson with someone.

Our Guardian system was installed 25 years ago and then they updated it. We had a new door downstairs put in and they made sure that the connections were put back in together correctly. Their representatives are knowledgeable and dealing with the contractors that came here went very well. Also, their equipment has worked fine when we've used it.

Guardian Protection Services came canvassing to my door. I liked their monitors so I signed up with them. The sales people that came were wonderful. They knew their product and how to please the customer. The technician was great and I had a wonderful experience during the installation of my security system. But I'm not quite satisfied with the monitors as it takes them a while to turn on. Overall, the functionality and performance of my system is fair. I would tell friends who ask me about Guardian because they're thinking about using this security company to come and look at my security system first.

The Guardian sales reps came to the door, explained what they were doing and I decided to go with it. We haven't had the security system for six months but one of the batteries has already gone bad. One time, I went out and had my phone on vibrate. The sensor in the back door that goes in the yard was not functioning properly and it bypassed that door, which wasn't armed while I was gone. The reps called me and left me a message so I called them back. We checked the unit and it was back on. Then, I went out the other day and the sensor came back on again and said that the battery was low on the back door. I checked the unit and it came back on. I pulled the battery out, put in a new one and it has been functioning since.
But, for a new system, I shouldn't have had to replace the battery for at least two or three years. I've got two more doors that have sensors on them and I haven't had any problem with batteries going dead on me. I'm assuming that the battery was either bad or instead of getting a new sensor out of a package, they gave me one that wasn't new.
I have also called Guardian about something I didn't understand about the alarm system. The signal of the keyfob on the outside of the house didn't go to the monitor and the alarm went off. It had a big red light on the screen 'cause I disarmed it when I came in the door from outside. It worked that way and I've been doing that ever since. I've never bothered to fool with the screen with the other alarms that I had but for this one, I set it, I have 45 seconds to get out the door and there seems to be no problem with it. I had my phone off too and I didn't know it wasn't armed properly. Still, I've not had any major problems with the Guardian security system while I've had several alarms that went off with my old system. Also, I was afraid to walk out of my house the way things were around the community but with Guardian, I felt somewhat secure.

Guardian is way better than Digital Life which is what I used before. The reps are very polite and they give me the information I need. Whenever I call about something, I feel good about it and that it will be taken care of. In terms of installation, my first concern was that from the way Digital Life installed the equipment, it seemed like they didn’t really care. They made little holes. But with Guardian, it was clean. I also love the features in my Guardian system. I love that there is a screen where I can look at my cameras from inside the house and that it is a touchscreen. It is more hi-tech than what I had with Digital Life. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that on my app, I don’t have access to look at all the videos that have been recorded. I have to go online onto Alarm.com. Then on my computer, I had to download something to be able to view the videos. Still, I feel better having the security system and I would recommend them.

The sales rep from Guardian was someone I knew and the interaction we had was all smooth. I called Guardian to see when things were gonna be installed since they did not install the system right away. Nevertheless, the installation went smoothly. The tech explained everything well and showed me how to use everything. I can't change the sensitivity on the cameras. The rain caused me to run out of records. It was raining and the motion was going off. But other than that, the quality of the equipment is good and I have no issues with it. I also use the app and it's very convenient. Since having Guardian, I feel secure.

I started with ADT and then Monitronics came through. They included the thing to hang around my neck in case I needed it. They did very well for me for several years and then it switched over to Brinks. It wasn't long after that the Guardian's person came. They went through and checked all of my system, made sure all the batteries were changed, and I switched over to them. They made sure everything was correct and working. They were very good about being detailed with it. Since my daughter had just moved here from Houston with two small children, I was very appreciative of that, because of making sure all the fire detectors had new batteries in them.
I was not using my back door alarm because I've had a new door put in but I went ahead and let them put the alarm on the new door and reinstate that, which has been good because we have five-year old and we wanna make sure we know when that door is open and somebody goes in and out it. Guardian also installed the app but I don't set my alarm every night, so that's kind of annoying that I get a reminder every night. But I can figure that out or get somebody to figure out how to not remind me every night. Guardian came through and did everything what needed to be done. I'm satisfied overall.

A person living in these condominiums told me about Guardian and said that it is probably the best choice for this area. The price is all right as well. And so far, the Guardian reps I've dealt with have been very nice and commendable. I haven't had any problems where they have taken advantage of me or sent me a large bill. When I ask them to do something – like when I know I need to leave, I can have the system shut off – they do it. The only problem is that’s when I need the system the most, when I'm gonna be gone. I thought it was used when you leave the premises to go to your place of business or work. But I can't use it that way. I can't have it on and leave for an extended time then come back and get in. I asked someone but I didn’t get the answer that I expected. Guardian is good for nighttime though.
I've also had a few times when the police has called me and asked if something was wrong. The system would come on red all over and then it would sound an alarm. At that point, I would have trouble getting it shut off. I would push the code that they said for me to push but it generally doesn’t shut off when it should. Otherwise, the system performs well. My wife passed away almost four years ago now and I'm living here alone so I like one that I can regulate. I feel more secure now. I know both doors have double locks. I would even recommend Guardian to a friend. The man who did the installation was also very commendable. He talked well and he put the equipment in a good place. I'm getting good service from them.

I moved into a new development and paid $2000 for Guardian Pre-Wiring services. I was told, multiple times, that I did not have to sign up for the monitoring services. I received a bill two months later charging me for a service I did not agree to. In the fine print, in the contract, Guardian added one line and are now stating I "agreed" to this service. They auto-populated my signature when I signed the digital version of the document I discussed with them in person. I have not activated the service. I paid for what I wanted. Now I am being billed monthly and told that I have to pay $750 additionally to terminate a service I never wanted, I am not currently using, and is not activated in my home.
I am a first time home buyer. I was considering Guardian services in the future once I became settled in my home. I will buy future homes. I will not consider Guardian. This is a terrible business practice. Why would sneak a line into a contract to force someone to sign up for a service they do not want and was told they did not have to sign up for? I already paid them a large sum of money for the service(s) I wanted. I will be taking this up with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
There are other new homes being built in my development with other first time homeowners. I have already and will continue to have conversations with these new home buyers concerning Guardian's bad business practices. Several of them have now opted not to go with Guardian. There will be more. You have lost a lot of business by adding in a line to a contract and misleading the consumer. I did not agree to this service. I thought it was a mistake and I simply wanted out and it to be resolved. I should not have to be forced to pay an additional termination fee or an ongoing monthly service plan for something I never wanted, is not activated, and is not being utilized in my home. This is a terrible experience for a first time home buyer. The lack of security and control Guardian has made me feel during this process from a security service is appalling.

I like the demeanor and professionalism of the sales rep who assisted me. The technicians who did the installation were professional and courteous. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. I'm a bit of a low tech redneck, but slowly and surely, I'm making adjustments on the system. However, I'm having one issue with it. I've adjusted the sensitivity on the camera that’s in the backyard and it's still tripped by fog. We get tule fog here in Central California, and it will trigger video clips when it's foggy. I'm trying to figure out how to overcome that. But so far, the equipment seemed adequate and seemed like it would do the job. I'm also able to look up the cameras when there's an issue and I'm able to adjust the thermostat in the house with the app. I'd gladly recommend Guardian Protection Services.

We had just moved up here and I told my sister that I was thinking of getting a security system. She has Guardian and she highly recommended it to me. She kept pushing me to have it as well. Guardian is a good company and the interactions that I've had with their reps have been excellent. The people that came out, a young lady and a young man, were so relaxed in the way they interacted together, which made me feel more relaxed. They explained everything and made the experience pleasant. But I went for overkill. I had them come back to put more alarms in. Every door, window, the front and the back, upstairs and downstairs. They were very good about that. They said that I don’t need it, but they did it because I wanted it. They also did not upsell me, there was no pressure. They were completely honest. They did an excellent work.
We put the alarm on every night but not fully because if we would get up in the middle of the night, we might not think that the security system is there. But when I’m alone, the house is completely alarmed. I accidentally set the alarm off on Thanksgiving day. It was early in the morning and I went out to the garage. The alarm went off and then they called Eric who was upstairs. I gave him the password and everything was fine. They responded immediately and they got the proper response from Eric. And then they spoke to me later which was so nice and reassuring. That was the first time I set it off and they were absolutely wonderful. They were so nice. I'd highly recommend Guardian Protection Services.

I have a pretty good system with Guardian and when it was installed, the tech who came out did pretty well. He did what he had to get done. But there was a bad wire in the attic. So, he came back out and fixed it. Since then, everything works good and I have no problems.

Our Guardian home security system does what it's supposed to do and the app is okay. But there were no provisions for us to be able to use the old key fobs that we had. They reprogrammed a broken window we had here laying on top of the control panel, but they never asked to reprogram my wife’s key fob that was in her possession or mine because I was at work. They gave new ones but the new ones were sluggish. On our system, you push it once and set the perimeter, the door, and windows. You're supposed to be able to push it the second time and it activates the motion sensor. Then you better make sure you have at least a two-second pause between presses, which is frustrating as hell. The new key fobs sucks. They also upgraded the control panel but it just showed fancy pictures and didn’t do anything different.

I was very well satisfied with the experience I had with the sales and customer service teams at Guardian. I was also satisfied with the people who came out and did the work. There was a gentleman who came out the other night and checked out the security system since there was some kind of a problem with it. He worked on it and he was very, very nice.

The rep and the installer were both nice fellows. I need to get ahold of one of the representatives that were there, however. They did a great job, but I have moved the door and the system needs to be moved a bit. I like Guardian and I’ve used it. It went off once or twice when the electric went off too, and that interfered with it. My husband died over a year ago and it has been a real shock, but I feel better with Guardian knowing that I’ve got some protection there. I’m very satisfied with Guardian.

My township has some kind of false alarm reduction program that I have to enroll in. I was reading on the website and they say that if the alarm goes off by accident, they don’t want us to call them. They say that Guardian should be calling me and asking if everything was okay. Then if I say okay, Guardian will call them and say that they don’t have to respond.
With my previous provider, I was accustomed to having this fob in my hand where I could push it and deactivate the system. They had both the key fob and the web, so in case you left the house and forgot to turn the system on, you could turn it on and you could check to make sure it's on at all. Guardian, however, only has the web. They don't have the key fob. You've gotta get your phone first, unlock your phone and then open up the app. It takes a bit longer to touch the app and then deactivate the panel.
There have been a couple of times when I put the "Home Away" on by accident. I went upstairs, the motion detector triggered, I couldn't get to the box on time, and the alarm went off but I was able to deactivate it. That happened yesterday, and no one from Guardian called me to ask if everything was okay. The system itself is fine, but if Guardian is not calling me in that situation, then what am I paying for? The system has gone off three times and they were user errors. But since I've had the system, I think they've only called me once when the system went off.

Guardian Protection has done a wonderful job for us. Over the 30 years that we’ve been their customers, we’ve had a lot of different installations because the technology has changed and they’ve always done a good job. Also, they’ve always made very good suggestions when we were concerned about this or that or we wanted an area protected. We have had a couple of situations where because the technology has changed, the keypad has changed. Sometimes, that has affected the wallpaper behind the keypad and they’ve always made good suggestions on how to handle that. They sometimes also have a back plate that they use.
Their customer service is certainly very good. They’ve always managed to give us what we want and they don’t pressure us to have things that we don’t want. We call them mainly for technical things and they’ve just always been responsible, professional, and very helpful. We very seldom had problems with the system itself, like sometimes if the electricity goes out and that affects the system, but whenever we've had one, they’ve always been very responsive. They very patiently and clearly walk us through certain things that we can do to get the system back online. And if for any reason we can’t do it, they get somebody here to fix the system. And since they're local, they can respond quickly.
We’ve also called them a couple of times to upgrade our service and they’ve done a good job. We find them accommodating, too. We’ve always been concerned about the equipment not being terribly observable and we would like it to kind of blend in. They’ve always done a good job with that where they would sometimes have to order a different color, unit or something of that nature.
We’re happy with the system. It's top quality. And since we've had Guardian Protection, our sense of security has increased significantly. I feel much safer now with the security system than without it. We live in a very safe neighborhood but nonetheless, I still feel safer having the security system. I would highly endorse Guardian Protection.

Previously, I had my security system through Vivint but then I switched to Guardian. Their system has been pretty good thus far. I can see that they wanna help me. Their installer put in the keypad and changed the batteries in them as well as the rest of the stuff. With the new system, it's different from the one I had before. This time, I got the pictures on the net to look at.

I used a company called Bay Alarm and they didn't have a lot of upgrades, and then a salesman happened to come by one day and talked to us. He sold me, so I switched to Guardian. The salesman was knowledgeable. He did the transition very smoothly, and also put a camera out in the front. And I got a lot of different features that I didn't have with the other company. Since we've had Guardian, I've had to get a service tech out here twice, and they've always done a great job. It's just that one time, the tech came over and for whatever reason, he didn't give me an estimate and misquoted me, but then when I got the bill, it was like, "Whoa! What is this?" So, I called them up and they resolved the issue very well. They charged me for the part, but they didn't charge me for the installation, which was fine with me. The tech did a good job. It's just that he wasn't clear on what was going on, and I wasn't prepared for a $500 bill when he left.
We've had good success with the equipment itself. For some reason, the tech came out the first time and he replaced the keypad, but then I was still having some issues going on. So then I had to get my internet carrier out here, and they had some problems coming from the pole to my house. So that was on them, and then just integrating the two together. But they both worked very well together and resolved all the issues. I use the smartphone features, too, and it's been fine. Guardian is doing a great job. I'd recommend them. I've recommended them to a couple of friends of mine and they've switched over too.

I’m a big fan of Guardian. They do a great job and I’m in thrill with the quality of their service. I have them in two different houses for a while now and I was able to customize the features in both locations. Their monitoring is better than other companies I’ve heard about. If your alarm goes off, they call you within seconds and it’s impressive. And then, I never had problems with the equipment. The only problem I’ve had was this one tech, but Guardian immediately corrected that situation. So, I’ve been very pleased with their responses. I recommend Guardian to a lot of people. They see that I check my cameras or I lock my door on my phone and so, I've told them to check Guardian out.

After three of our neighbors were robbed, I got a Guardian security system. But when we had a blizzard, all our pictures were used up because our camera picked up all the blowing snow. That was at the end of November and they reset on the 1st. So we called Martin Security, the company that installed the system for us and they advised us to just call Guardian and they would reset the cameras. So we called Guardian but they said that they don’t do that. Also, we only got 1,000 pictures and we had been told that we got 3,000 because we've got a doorbell camera and then we've got a camera on the front door, the back door and the shop.
Guardian said that they were gonna check on that because they couldn't find the number of pictures that we were supposed to get but I haven't heard back from them. We also tried to call Martin Security but they haven't called us back either. Nonetheless, we're happy with the system. It makes me feel better that I can get on my phone and see. At this time of year, there are lots of packages being delivered by UPS and FedEx and I can know, "Oh, yeah, that came today."

A man had knocked on the door and asked if I was satisfied with my service. I've had that service for almost 10 years. But he offered me a deal with Guardian so I took it. The only difference with Guardian is when I put the security on at night, it automatically locks everything. I don’t need to program anything. The system is very simple to operate and the features I have are good. They let me know who's coming in and who's going out. The system also has the motion feature and that was something I had to get used to. I would turn that on every night but I found out that I didn’t need it. So far, Guardian has been fine. The only thing that I don’t understand is how to test my machine. Everything is put on computer but I'd rather have mine on paper. Someone was supposed to send me some paperwork but I haven't gotten it yet. The technician who came to our home did a beautiful job though.

Guardian Protection Services was referred to me as a preventative measure and now I’ve been with them for four years. I’ve been using the very limited feature set and they have been working fine. I contacted them one time to reset the password and they were very responsive. The Guardian system works with the Wi-Fi though and if the Wi-Fi is down, then there is no point of having it, so I’m rethinking right now whether it even makes sense to have it. Also, with the number of uses that it has for me, the cost is unnecessary at the moment. But for now, the system and its price are okay and the people who are working there is giving good service.

I just wanted to clear up the Wi-Fi situation: rest assured that your system is not at all dependent on the Wi-Fi, only the App and text or email alerts will temporarily be out of use if Wi-Fi goes down in your home.
If your Wi-Fi is down we’ll still get signals over the cellular network and you'll still be able to control the system at the control panel. And in the event of a power outage, the control panel and cellular communicator have a back-up battery.

Guardian Protection Services was recommended by the builder. The sales rep went through the various packages, what we would be looking for, the various costs, and then looking at the house plans, and where we would want things. Guardian installed the wiring during the construction of the house. The first tech that came out got the system up and running. He was a delightful man, and I was quite pleased about being accommodating in terms of our schedules. The one downside was he was apparently supposed to have given us a verbal password, which he did not, so they had to send somebody else out. It was a bit of a problem, they set us up for two days. But those people were very nice.
I'm okay with everything, with the exception of the placement of the camera downstairs. It's a walkout, the patio downstairs. The camera is mounted on the wall, facing the slider, so that's all I see. I would've preferred a little bit more global look. But I like the smartphone features, especially since the home is in Maryland and we spend the winters in Georgia.

We were looking around for a security company and a Guardian Protection Services salesman happened to come. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and he was able to give us examples of the equipment. Overall, we were satisfied with what he said about Guardian. The installer came across some hiccups while installing but he was able to overcome them and we were pretty satisfied with it. I’m gonna be calling them today though to find out if there’s an option for our front camera to record all of the time or pick up on motions because an incident happened over the weekend and an officer asked to see our video but it didn’t record.

Guardian Protection's sales was good and their installers were excellent. We just built a new house and had a storage building out. They wired it throughout the house and did a good job. The way they hooked it up and their knowledge of hooking it up was excellent. The features I have are good and the equipment works perfectly. I use the app to set the alarm, turn it off, and turn it on. And just about anything I want to do, I can do at the keypad. Being able to have the satisfaction of knowing the house is safe when we leave is good. I wouldn’t feel safe if I didn’t have Guardian Protection Services. I'd recommend it.

We’ve used Guardian Protection for 20 years and their sales or customer service representatives have been very helpful. There has been one instance in which our alarm system went off and they handled it with no issues. I’m pleased with the way they dealt with me. There’s a notification to the authorities if there is an issue and that’s what you want in a system. It’s a system that’s not battery-generated. As far as electric backup, if we wanted a generator, we’d add one. We’ve gone away in the past, set things up. If anyone was coming in, then it would work. And then we come in and turn it off, when we get back. Guardian provides us comfort.

I bought a family farm and there was an existing farmhouse here which had Guardian. I kept the same system but I used it for a different house. It has the features for the windows, doors, and motion. I have Guardian for eight years now and the interactions I had with their reps have always been good. When I needed a battery changed a couple of years ago, their technician came out and the experience went fine. I also feel a little safer since having Guardian. I got a gun and a dog, but it’s nice to know if someone’s coming.

The reps of Guardian Protect Services were very professional. The quality of the system is also very good. It is basically wireless, except for the main box where it hooks to the phone. The only thing that I wasn’t happy with was the motion detector in the house. It kept going off when my dog would walk. Nevertheless, I would tell others to go for it.

We bought our home 3 years ago, and since a Guardian system had already been installed, we thought it would be easiest to activate with them. We are currently relocating to Arizona and when we called to discontinue the service, we were told that we had a 5 year contract and had to pay the $1,200 balance on the contract regardless of whether we used the service or not - and there was no early termination fee. If we wanted to relocate the service, it would cost $850 out of pocket to reinstall the system.
The 5-year, fully binding nature of the contract was never discussed with us when we activated the service, or else we would have considered other options. If you are considering their service, make sure that you are explicit about the terms of the agreement, since they will not provide this important information to you and are VERY assertive about enforcing the terms afterwards. I found this interaction to be NOT transparent at all and will not use their services again.

Guardian’s system is convenient, and all I do is push the motion button when we leave and when I get home, I put the code on. During installation, the installer did not take long but we had trouble with one of the numbers sticking when I push the pad. That aside, their representatives have been great. They answered my questions and they tested the system when I asked them to. They did it three times and the system works fine.

I used to have a different security system but I switched to Guardian after I moved to a house that was already wired for Guardian. And then when I moved back to my townhouse, I switched to Guardian because I liked their customer service. Every time I call them or when they remind me of something like changing batteries, the reps are always professional, respectful and kind. Then if there are billing issues, I would get an explanation. They are also responsive. There were times when my system went off accidentally because somebody came in and forgot the code or I forgot it, and then a Guardian rep would call to check if everything was alright. I appreciated that very much whenever it happened.
I had a typical package installed, and the technicians shared information with me. I like to know everything that's going on, and they let me ask questions. The customer service was really impeccable. So, I'd tell people to go for Guardian too. You can trust them, you can rely on them. You don't have to worry about anything. They'll serve you well.

We were gonna do some traveling and we wanted a security system for the house. Our neighbor down the street had Guardian and he liked it a lot. We called up Guardian and a sales agent came to explain to us the ins and outs and what they offer. We liked what he said so we got their basic package on a five-year contract. They had a sale going on and we paid $900 for the three cameras. They figured out that we wouldn’t need a fourth camera for the kind of coverage that we wanted. At first, we had a lot of trouble with the cameras, but we had that replaced. But when I called them back to add another camera, they wanted $700 for one. I did not realize that they cost that kind of money since we bought them on sale.
Two years later, we got the DVR with Guardian. However, they added another five years on our contract, which I didn’t like. But their system work. Every time we get on and we are away, the equipment is good. Their reps are always nice when we call them. They take care of our problems. They also showed up pretty quickly. Also, there was one time when I thought they overcharged us but the rep actually knocked off some money. Guardian keeps changing over the years and offering better coverage or more convenience to the customer for what they wanna do with their home. And I'd definitely recommend them.

Guardian Protection Services provided better service at a cheaper price and the installers were very efficient and courteous and they knew what they were doing. The install was very simple and we liked it. Guardian provided a wireless service for the security alarm where others did not. The equipment is more modern and is able to use existing wiring. It also has an app where we can turn the security on and off from our cell phones. The features of the system were very nice and they met my needs straight out of a box. I got an Android phone while my wife got an Apple product and the system works on both, so either one of us can turn it on or off as we need. Having Guardian Protection Services in our home gives us a sense of security. It is a good deal and a good product, and I would highly recommend them.

Guardian is really a good security system and I like the quality of their equipment very much. The rep was very polite, not pushy, and explained everything in detail which helped me make my choice. They then installed the system very quickly and it didn’t bother me at all. They wired it up, explained it, and showed me how to use the keypad. I was given my security button and an emergency button, so I was all set. Then when I moved, they gave me a good price on the disconnection and I saved half of what it would cost if I bought it out.

If you are thinking about getting Guardian security, DO NOT. The installers that come in are not licensed electricians and the one that came to our house messed my electricity up and Guardian said it was on me. They wouldn't pay for it so I quit paying for my security system since I couldn't use it and I took the extra insurance out every month and they still wouldn't fix it. Now they have sent me to collections and they are the rudest I have ever seen. Trying to make me give them more than I could a month. Which what he's wanting is 3x the amount each month.

We moved in Texas and Guardian Protection Services was recommended by our builder. Their salesman did all the paperwork and we found him to be knowledgeable about their product. After the installation, I talked to their office regarding some thing that they would put on my windows which was not done during the installation. Their techs then came over and did that for us free of charge. Since then, our system has been functioning well.

I have a friend that worked for Guardian. I knew he had a good reputation, he was a salesman and so I went straight to him. When I bought my house, we set the system up pretty much immediately to get it installed. Guardian took care of everything and they did a great job. I customized the system and then as new stuff came out, I had them come out a couple of times and upgrade. I also use the smartphone features and log in from time to time and check on things. I’ve upgraded to the cell system. I got it off of the landline and everything works really well. Guardian is a good security system, and if people are looking for one, that’s the way to go. I recommended it to a couple of friends.

The past week my Guardian security alarm has been going off for no apparent reason. Last night around 9:30 pm it went off and I received a phone call from one of your customer service Representatives by the name of Tom. Not only did he hang up in the middle of my sentence while I was speaking, he didn't even try to return my phone call. It clearly showed that he didn't want to be bothered with the job he's being paid to do. (SO SORRY I INTERRUPTED YOUR SLEEP... Not!!!) Therefore I attempted to call Guardian back at least three to four times still reaching Tom who kept hanging up on me. After the third or fourth hang up I was extremely upset, not to mention scared for my family, if we were truly in a life-threatening emergency.
I finally reached out to a representative whose name was Samantha and she stated she was a supervisor. She listened to my complaint regarding Tom, and stated that she would definitely forward the complaint to a manager. To date I've not received a phone call from a manager. Samantha, then transferred me to a representative who was extremely rude, not to mention UNPROFESSIONAL and her name was Crystal.
Crystal started the conversation by asking me to verify my home address, but she gave an incorrect address. So, I see that I was dealing with another CSR rep that either just woke up from a nap, or obviously a CSR rep that could care less if my family was experiencing a true life threatening emergency. As a paying customer for security services, it amazes me that I had to deal with 2 of the most NON CARING, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNSYMPATHETIC people, who are paid to provide emergency support in emergency situations. Crystal & Tom's actions show that they both lack professionalism, as well as the necessary skills needed to handle Emergency situations.
Guardian, you seriously need to find more suitable reps that are motivated, alert, and competent, especially when paying customers are using you to provide their family with needed security, and peace of mind. I hate to think that if I had truly needed assistance from GUARDIAN PROTECTION SERVICES last night, I wouldn't be able to inform anyone looking for Superior, Quality, service protection about this horrendous experience, because I could have been dealing with an intruder, a fire, or a true life threatening situation.
I'm going to look for a company who will actually be there for my family should a TRUE EMERGENCY arise. Even though your services aren't expensive, I guess you pay for what you get. Last night I received the opposite of what I'm paying for. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS KIND OF SERVICE TO ANYONE!!! I hope your Representatives that you have working for you don't ever cause innocent individuals their lives, due to their incompetence!!! My experience that really scared my little boy is worth a NEGATIVE -100 STARS!!!

We liked Guardian and we never had any issues with them at all. Their reps were very professional and the installation went well. Our service was completely up to date and had every feature that we needed. We were nothing but happy with them, but we moved out of their area and we, unfortunately, had to change. Had they had a business in Tallahassee, Florida, we would’ve stayed with them. In fact, the system that we got from a different company in Tallahassee is almost exactly identical, but we haven’t been as happy with their professionalism as we are with Guardian. Guardian has been one of the best security systems we’ve had. We highly recommend it to anyone.

We built a new home and when we were selecting the things for our house, Guardian representatives came to our home. Plenty of our neighbors opted not to have Guardian installed, but we chose to have it installed. And we’re still with them for about eight years now. Their monthly monitoring fee has gone up twice since we’ve been with Guardian and nobody has complained about it. Then when calling in with a question or a problem, the first representative you speak to leaves something to be desired. They are very inflexible.
About a month ago, we kept getting a low battery alarm on the recorder. My husband frequently travels so the recorder is important. And when I go to bed at night, I like knowing that if somebody comes in, I’m gonna know who it is. I called Guardian about it and the individual that answered the phone asked me if I put a battery in it. I told him that I did not because it was the third time in six weeks and that something was wrong with the unit. He looked back and saw that we had calls and had a service call. He then said that they would have to send somebody up to come out.
The first available date that the rep gave me was 10 days away, but I wasn’t okay with that. 10 days is a long time when you are talking about home protection. But he said that he couldn’t make any appointments for anything other than the first available date. Then I asked to speak to his supervisor, but it was 7 o’clock in the evening. There was no supervisor present and that he was the on-call person. I would have to call back the next day and speak to someone else because it was not acceptable. But before I could call back the next day, a technician called and said that he had an opening. He finished a job on the other side of our neighborhood and he could be there in 20 minutes. He came and he replaced the unit.
I also asked the technician why we kept having the low battery thing. We put the proper batteries in it and it should last for longer than two weeks. He went downstairs and he came back and said that the problem was the communication box. It needs to be located on the first floor, not in the basement. The unit tries too hard to connect with the box, which is what comes to our monitoring center, and it is eating up our batteries. So, he moved the unit up on the first floor in a very discreet location. Everything has been operating wonderfully since. It was the worst experience I’ve had, but it was resolved very easily as soon as I talked to a technician. We have also encouraged other people who are building to have Guardian installed. They offered free installation while we were building the house. And Guardian is the perfect way to go.

My daughter who was a director for a group of homes for mentally disabled people had Guardian in all her homes. And she bought Guardian Protection Services for us as a Christmas present a few years back. Their reps have all been positive and very courteous. It's just that every once in a while, I or my wife would forget to turn the stove vent on over the range and the smoke alarm would go off. They'd call us and say, "Is there a problem?" I'd say, "No, I'm just cooking." They'd ask for the code word and I'd tell them. Now, we keep the vent fan on when we're cooking. The installer did a wonderful job. He even installed it on Christmas Eve and explained to us how everything worked. We like their features and the equipment is of good quality. We feel a lot more secure in here since we have Guardian Protection Services. We're totally satisfied with it and we'd recommend it.

Guardian's cost was cheaper than I had with Vivitar, and I wasn't too happy with them. I had trouble getting a hold of them whereas when I had questions with Guardian, I called them and they answered my questions. The service Guardian provides is better and the system is good. The people who came for the installation also knew what they were doing and that was no problem. I would recommend Guardian.

When I switched to Guardian, they took some equipment but they didn’t put any equipment in. Then when I had a problem with my key and had to change the lock on my door, they made me pay $280 to make sure that those two things got back together again. They said it wasn’t in my contract so I had to pay, but I shouldn’t have to because they didn't give me any new equipment. I never received the paperwork but after I complained to their rep, I did and it didn’t have my signature on the contract. Everything else has been okay, but they should reimburse me for the money that they charged me. If not, I’m going with another security system as soon as my contract is up.

Guardian Protection Services came around and they had a good deal, so I signed up. Their reps were all good. They took time to listen and if you didn’t understand anything, they were willing to explain it to you till you understand it. And their price was reasonable. The installer was friendly and he answered all questions that we had. He wasn’t in a hurry and made sure he did a good job. His expertise and professionalism were great. I got Guardian mainly for the medical. But I had medical and I had fire, and I had the panic button on there for the police. So, I was all equipped. If I need anything, I just push the button.

The sales and customer service personnel at Guardian were all really nice. They installed their security system when I bought my place before I moved in. Though I like the features they have with their system, they could have more free options. For instance, I would like that as I'm driving up to my house, once I hit a certain range, my system automatically would automatically unlock or it would lock when I get out of that range. Still, I'm happy with everything I have and my system is functioning really well. Since I live by myself, I like being able to know what's going on in my house.

Originally, when the house was built, Citadel Security came in and hard-wired the house. I was with them but they didn't monitor. It was just the home alarm. They came around to modernizing and getting into the newer stuff with the cellular so they can’t cut the phone line. I shopped around and my son was with Guardian. He was happy with them so I called them. They came in and re-did my system.
I screwed up and tripped it a few times myself. They called right in, I gave them my codes and no problem. At one time, I had a security switch failure on one door and they came out. The technician was pretty knowledgeable and he found what the problem was with the switch connection, and fixed that. It has been a couple of years now and I don’t have any issues with it. They’ve been excellent. Another time, my wife had a brain freeze and she put on the address code instead of the normal code. When she came in the house, that shut the alarm off. The next thing she knew, the police were knocking at the door. That’s the way the system's supposed to work.
The only thing that they could improve on is the price. I have Comcast and they put the cameras in and everything for $25 a month, but I'm paying a little more than that with Guardian. However, I’ve had them for a long time. They’ve always been friendly customer service. When I had an issue, they worked it right out, fixed and repaired it. They updated the system when it came time from 3G to 4G and no problem. I’d recommend them.

We have an alarm from Guardian Protection Services on the door going to out, coming in from our garage, and on our glass sliding door on the patio. Also, we have a fire and smoke alarm that goes along with that. We have a motion sensor with that, as well, and special buttons on the keypad to call for medical help, for the police, and fire. After 12 years, we're still with them. We had some work done on our garage and the workman accidentally hit the cord that keeps the battery charged. I didn't realize it and the battery went down. Then, the technician came from Indianapolis and took care of it. He got it plugged back in and checked everything else out. So, everything was good.
Then, one time, the ice and stuff was coming and I thought I heard something out on the deck. I had already set the alarm and I opened up that sliding glass door and that horn woke everybody up. I immediately shut it down but it seemed like maybe a minute and the call came from Guardian making sure everything was okay. They immediately asked for my code and they asked me for my name and my address. I said everything was okay and that it was an accident. And they just said, "Can I do anything else for you tonight?" So, it was a good response. Right now, we feel very protected. We needed an extra sign to put on the south side of our condo because we had some woods back there and they sent us a sign immediately. I've been very pleased with them.

My mom had Guardian Protection Services in the house which I inherited. I put in a service call to have a guy come out and give me estimates on upgrading it. The tech came out and evaluated my system. We talked about options and upgrades. Then, he said he would put in the information and they would get a hold of me but they never ever did. I was hoping someone would call me and talk to me about it, you know, what's available and what works for me. That was a bit disappointing. Other than that, I've been reasonably satisfied.

The representatives from Guardian Protection Services were thorough and they answered all of my questions. Also, the installers explained everything. They were quick and on time and thy did everything they said they were gonna do. There was a point where I wasn't using the system, and I asked their reps to come out and give me a primer on how to use it. They were pretty good with that. And I've been using the system pretty much every day since then. I customized the package that I got with them a little bit. However, the alarm goes off all the time if I don't make it to the pad in time or if I open the door without turning off the alarm. It probably goes off twice a week. Other than that, I feel secure in my house as long as I'm using their security system. I've had another security system stop by the house and said that they could be better. But I've had a good experience with Guardian, so there's no need to switch.

I liked what Guardian had to offer at the time when I changed. However, I upgraded back to ADT ‘cause ADT offered me more than Guardian did, at a better price. Guardian also didn't have a patent on the window breakage. Nonetheless, their reps were courteous.

Guardian Protection Services seems to work and if my parents have a problem with it, they fixed it for them. My parents have had it for a few years and they're pretty happy with it. About six months ago, Guardian had to come out because there was something with the water unit and they replaced it. Guardian is a good system and I would recommend them to a friend.

The builder put in the Guardian Protection Services. I got a little bit of a discount years ago. I then had a few upgrades that they had to come out and fix. They showed up on time and put in some new things that had to be upgraded. I just wish they don’t raise the price anymore on me ‘cause I’m gonna get somebody else if they do. I pay $33 a month and it was like $25. I can get cheaper at other places like $25 through Comcast. I’ll probably stick with them if they don’t do that.

Do not use this company under any circumstance! Fraudulent contracts and insane cancellation fees. Good luck canceling your service. After years of on time payment we attempted to cancel our service. We were quoted a cancellation fee of over $700. It was claimed that we signed a contract but when they produced this contract it was not in any one's handwriting from this household. It was then claimed that it was signed electronically and they could produce an audiotape with our voice confirming the scam contract. Guess what? They never produced it and continue to harass us. We are filing a complaint with the state and the BBB and will never pay a dime of their fraudulent claim.

Guardian's customer service has been great as far as working with them to set up our system. The guy who helped to set up our system made some really nice recommendations, which I thought were really helpful. He was quick, efficient, and very friendly. We had our initial quote for the system and in the actual installation, he came in. He re-looked at our home and made sure that the system that was actually quoted for us was the appropriate system. He helped us to determine where to put the monitor box based on how our house was set up. We've been actually recommended that we switch over to this little iPad monitor screen system that fits on our table. That was a good suggestion.
I really like the system itself and it has worked beautifully for us, so far. We also like the digital pad that they had. The only thing that's a little bit annoying is when you set the alarm from home and you use the keypad, it counts down and beeps for 60 seconds. So, we often don't use that. We often set the alarm from the app on our phone because it just says, "Alarm set remotely." The beeping seems excessive and I don't like to listen to it for a minute.
The quality of our security system is very good. It's what we needed and we haven't had any problems. The sensors on the doors are very nice. The glass break is sensitive enough that it doesn't catch random things like dropping a spoon on the floor, but it catches more loud things that would be appropriate. The app is very easy to use. We really liked the feature where we can go back and look at the history of what doors have been opened and closed while we've been away. We feel very secure having our system. We now live in a very safe area. So, someone could say we wouldn't need the security system, but we feel comfortable and safe having it. I would definitely recommend Guardian Protection Services.

We got a new house and Guardian was what kinda worked with the builder. So, we switched over from ADT and it has been good with Guardian so far. The sales rep was good. We interacted mostly through e-mail and phone, but she always answered everything. Then, the installer did a good job. It was done when the house was built. So when we were here, we just had to turn everything on. I'm very happy so far. We have our app and it's very good. Having Guardian gives us a peace of mind.

I called for a service issue due to a sensor being installed incorrectly on my overhead garage door. The sensor was crushed when the garage door opened. I will say they were very professional about the issue and scheduled someone to come out 4 days later to correct the issue. I asked the representative if I could add 3 window sensors while the tech was here. She said certainly and set it up.
The issue I have is with the billing. They are charging a $75.00 trip fee to install the sensors plus the cost of the sensors. I called back and explained that the tech would already be here to fix an issue and why are they charging an additional fee? The representative said they were sending two different techs on the same day at the same time. That was the reason for the fee. When the day came the tech was late getting to my home and he said he was doing the service and the install...which makes sense. I called back and asked why I was being charged the trip fee again and they said that was just part of the price.
I’m not unreasonable, I understand if I just called to have the sensors put in that they may charge an additional fee to sell me their product. In this case the tech was already coming out, and I’m buying YOUR product and then you want to charge an additional fee? Really? This is the issue these days with companies. They charge you for every little thing they can get away with just to make more money. What happened to customer service? So far, our Guardian Protection system has been okay. However, I would change the amount of time you have to shut off the alarm because there's only one key location to do that, which is by the garage. So, if I come into the front door, by the time I get to the garage, it's already setting the alarm off. It only gives you around 15 seconds which is not a whole lot of time. Other than that, everything is fine.

Guardian has been responsive. We had one of the sensors fall out and they came out and replaced it. It wasn't any big deal. The service techs have been nice, they took time, and they seemed to know what they were doing. Also, Guardian's representatives are very professional. The alarm had gone off twice but they called, and we gave them the password. The app that we use to interact with the system is good and easy to use. Give Guardian a try and see if the price works for you.

My husband and I divided the house projects when we first moved in. He had a co-worker who used Guardian and he heard good things from his co-worker. And he’s always a researcher kinda guy, so he looked up Guardian and saw that they had good reviews and pricing. Everything worked out and we ended up signing with them. During the installation, Guardian's guy had to come back two times. On their first visit, some of the back windows didn’t have the little motion detectors on them, so they had to come back the second time to install those. But the installation was quick and easy. Plus, they explained how the app worked and helped us get everything set up.
So far, the system seems to be doing really well and I really love how we can use the app to arm and disarm it. I also like how there are options for different people to have different codes. The system also seems simple enough to operate, so you don't accidentally get it set off. And when when we had the cooler weather, we were able to keep the window open and still have the system armed. It was nice to be able to know that we're still protected while the window was open.
We’re really happy with Guardian. The first couple of nights when we were in the house and we didn’t have the system, we were so nervous because it was a different place and a different town. But having Guardian helped a little bit. Recently, we got the bill in the mail and I wanted to switch it to online instead. We don’t need a paper bill and we’re getting charged two bucks per paper bill, so I need to give them a call and get that sorted. Other than that, everything else has been peachy.

When we came to this community, we were told that everyone had Guardian, so we also got them. When they installed the system, they told me how to use it, left a note, and gave me the Guardian customer service card. One time, when I was cooking and a little bit smoke was coming out, the fire alarm started beeping and I didn't know how to switch it off. It rang for five minutes then the fire brigade came. Also, they provided one security box where we put all the codes and they told me that whenever we open the garage or main door, the star symbol will come. Then if we close the door, the star symbol will go out. But now I have the star symbol all over there and I forgot how to take out that symbol from that machine. Other than that, we've had a good experience with Guardian.

I moved into another house and then I was recommended Guardian by a co-worker. The installation went well and they had no problems. I got the cam with the app that you can look at your house when the alarm goes off while you are at work or wherever you are at is great. Also, it’s easy because you can keep it constantly on and as soon as it goes off, you can press the button and see who’s at your doorbell or who’s in your yard. Then, recently, I did upgrade then they put cameras in. They came out and surveyed and they told me exactly what I needed to fit what I was looking for. Then, it was installed and everything worked great. The family feels safer with Guardian.

When I checked around security services, Guardian is cheaper than anybody else. Their reps have been all good and knowledgeable. The installer was cool. He answered anything I needed to ask. In addition to that, the features are nice. I'd recommend Guardian Protection Services. We just opened up a business so we would get it over there, too.

I’ve used ADT before but I got a better deal from Guardian Protection Services with the new equipment and new additional features for less money. The reps were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the service has been provided within two days so everything was excellent. The installer who came was very experienced and he explained to me from A to Z how to use the system and the application. The system is working out well and its features are very user-friendly, nice, and convenient.

Guardian Protection Services was already installed in the model house that we bought so we called them back to have the system set up for us. The installers installed something in my bedroom closet and they did something else in one of the boxes. They were very nice people. The system’s features are good. It's nice to have an app on the phone and be able to go out of the house and activate the system from outside. We don’t have to worry about going back and forth and deactivating it before we come in. So far, everything went fine and we are happy with Guardian.

I've been using an alarm system for a while now and have used AT&T Digital Life in the past. Now, Guardian provided service to the home I bought and their services are comparable. It was quite a big installation 'cause I added a lot of equipment and the installers had to come back a couple of times, but they got it done. Everybody was very nice and the installers were good. The smartphone features are easy to use and everything is working well.

Guardian was being offered in our neighborhood and I liked their installer very much. He was very knowledgeable and very neat. He was great. I like the warranty but sometimes, I wonder if I need it. I haven’t set up the app yet, so every time I do something, I get all these emails which is kind of annoying. Other than that, my experience with them has all been positive.

The insurance company told me I had to have a security system. Plus, the stuff was already on the wall. I also had smoke alarms from a different security company. The person before me didn’t want to pay for it and had regular smoke alarms. There were also sensors around the doors. I either had to rip them all out or put something in.
I contacted some people locally and they recommended Guardian Protection Services. Guardian's reps have been the best of any organization that I’ve dealt with. They were conscientious and they have a balance of understanding, process, and procedure. When I talked to them, they asked the right questions. Any problem I’ve had, they’ve been responsive and flexible.
Guardian Protection installed everything and everything was fine. But there was a problem with the covering outside. So they had to come and open that up. The disconnect was if the system was down, it was down. My dilemma was more of the terminology of when I say down. Part of it would be them asking me questions, such as what I meant by down. What I meant was I didn’t want it to protect anything, I just wanted it to turn off. And they would walk me through the whole thing - go to the box, plug in, do this, do that, and test things to make sure they work.
Another nice thing was, I was not gonna remember what they told me to do, but I could talk to them. I could call them and say that I have no idea how to turn my thing on. They would say that they don't have an issue where other people would say they already came here and taught me. The beauty of it is they don’t take for granted that I’m really not listening. I’m just listening enough to get through that part of it, and at the end, I’m really not paying attention. They pretend like nothing’s wrong and just keep giving advice and helping me. Their customer service is pretty spot on and it's perfect.

Everything was good with Guardian. I had a different security system in the past and the Guardian system is a little better. The guy who has also done the installation was knowledgeable and on time. He explained the system well. The installation took a long time but not from his part. There was a problem with my internet. Everything that he could do was done quickly. The installer just hooked up everything he could until we had the internet. The system came with 3 cameras for a price. I pay close to $70 a month and if I'm paying that much a price, the cameras should've been included. I also like the smartphone feature for the door. I have it unlocked before I walk into the house and that is nice. It's user-friendly indeed. Having the Guardian system helps me sleep better at night when I'm gone.

We worked with Ryan Homes as our home builder and Guardian Protection Services was part of the package. We had one day where the installation team of Guardian came out and the technician was knowledgeable and was able to answer many of my questions. We have a wireless access point installed on the second floor that was giving us some grief at first but aside from that, I haven’t had any difficulties. I've had no problems with the service that I’ve received, nor with using the products that we have so far.

I've been using Guardian Protection Services and everything seems to be working. They installed the speakers that we have and we were looking for the manual that gives us some info on how to operate them but we never got that. And the wires in the panel box downstairs are all over the place. The box is on the wall, but the cover is not on it, and another box is connected and sitting on the floor, as well as the Spectrum cable box. So, I just thought it was a poor installation which needs to be addressed. They should have a bigger box for the controls

I have Guardian Protection as my security system and it's a lot better than my previous system. It's also a lot more affordable and it's wireless too. I love it. I got a really basic package for two doors and a couple of motions, and it's good quality equipment. I have it at my place of business and it’s great. I can leave my business and I know it's gonna be safe. Everything’s also been great with their customer service. They do an excellent job. I'd recommend Guardian and I decided to get it for my parents as well.
