    I have Guardian Protection as my security system and it's a lot better than my previous system. It's also a lot more affordable and it's wireless too. I love it. I got a really basic package for two doors and a couple of motions, and it's good quality equipment. I have it at my place of business and it’s great. I can leave my business and I know it's gonna be safe. Everything’s also been great with their customer service. They do an excellent job. I'd recommend Guardian and I decided to get it for my parents as well.

    I was referred to Guardian by a friend and originally, I was happy. When I had their sales rep come to the house, I told him what I wanted but when they installed it, the sales rep missed a sensor. When I called about it, they said that they could fix it. But it came to 120 some dollars to have them come out and fix the error, which is more of an issue on Guardian than mine. Other than that, I'm happy with the features in my system and, so far, everything has been pretty good since having Guardian.

    Guardian compares poorly to my previous home security system provider. I just had no choice but to go with them because they are the only company in the community. Once you're building the home, you have to do a contract with them. The installation went fine. The features are fine as well. However, one of the door sensors isn't working properly and we had an appointment for that but they didn't live up to the obligation which messed up my entire day. The supervisor who first dealt with the case was good, though. Then, I called the night before to ensure someone would be there. I also called before I left work and when I got home. All three times, everybody told me that the window is between 12:00 and 4:00. At 3:56, when no one still turned out, they told me it has been rescheduled. That service was very poor and I was very annoyed.

    When we had the house built, Guardian had already installed the equipment, so we just went on with their service. Enrolling with them was easy and I like the features offered in our system. It’s nice. We had the doorbell added on recently and we can see who’s at the door. I’ve seen some cameras where people can’t make out the individual. Guardian's techs have come out as well and conducted repair services. As for the alarm itself, I like it and I feel safe having their services. If the alarm goes off, the people from Guardian will call. And if I’m in the house and I didn’t pick up the phone, someone would come across the intercom to check and see if everything’s okay. If we don’t respond at all, then they’ll send out emergency service. If someone’s trying to break in while we’re in here, at least our alarm will warn us. I've been with Guardian for almost fours years and I extended our contract with them. I’m happy with their service.

    We signed up with Guardian but they did not tell us anything. We told the guy that signed us up that $50 was too much. But they still charged us $50 a month, and the guy that I dealt with quit the job. The features are good and I like Guardian, but it's expensive.

    I had a system 10 years ago and it was fine. But upon using, we switched systems, and I find that Guardian is much easier to use and is more current as far as technology. I like that I can arm or disarm it from my phone, whether I’m in the home or travelling somewhere. The interactions I had with their reps were all very nice and helpful. Their reps did a good job in setting it up. They also guided me with the features of the system. I like its phone feature often as well as the camera on the doorbell. Our doors are secured, which is primarily what I was looking for, and the extras as far as the phone and the doorbell.

    Their manager came out and thought of ways to make the cost the lowest possible for us. We knew some purchase blenders, and he went with the purchase blender discount. They really worked with us and my family. Their technicians were very nice and they did a good job. The only thing that happened was the sensor that was on the door stopped reading after about a week. We had to move the sensor over a little bit, so they had to come back out. It wasn’t a big deal and everybody was very good. They called me several times about setting up the date. They also had a lot of options and I didn’t have trouble picking a time and day. They also always call right away every time the system goes off.

    The overall quality of the equipment and its performance are very good. Since they came for the sensor replace, there are no troubles with it going off on the stairway. The alarm would go off and notify us if anything were to happen to our house so I feel very comfortable and sleep well. I feel very secure having Guardian and I would definitely recommend them.

    I bought my house three weeks ago and the homebuilder had a contract with Guardian. Dealing with the Guardian rep was straightforward. He was here for about an hour and he installed everything. I have a doorbell that has a camera that I can speak to and I can arm and disarm the system remotely through the app on my phone. I like their equipment better than the security system I had in my previous house. The panel on my last one was also a touchscreen, but I set that alarm off multiple times because the buttons on the screen were so close together that I couldn’t press a three without accidentally pressing two or five. But with the equipment from Guardian, it’s nicer to disarm and I don’t accidentally set my alarm off all the time.

    At the time when our home was being built, Ryan Homes only supported Guardian. We were required to use them to do the pre-wiring. We wanted the cameras to be pre-wired and installed versus doing a lot of that after the fact, and we had to use Guardian. We had all the windows wired with the sensors, and we installed some cameras and security access points in the front door to secure my daughter and grand-kids.

    The fellow that installed the wiring was very, very good. He trained me and my daughter on the security system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us with our internet access and getting our applications captured on our cell phone, and he showed us how to use everything. My daughter is able to access the security system and cameras from our phone. She's also able to know when people turn on and off the security system. The security system gives her peace of mind. If there is any activity or concern, we can give access to the video footage. The important thing is for my daughter to be able to unlock or turn off the alarm remotely if she needs to. We’ve been able to train our kids and grand-kids how to get in the front door with the code and how to go and disarm the alarm if necessary.

    I tried to call Guardian a few times because the system didn't work and they were pretty good. They set up appointments for us and they were pretty reasonable. They're pretty good to work with. The alarm feature went off twice and the rep called right away and he was very professional. Those two times happened during our training period. It was a week where, if they had to send the police off by mistake, we wouldn't be charged. But we were in both cases, able to resolve it before anybody was dispatched. But Guardian was very timely.

    I have to call Guardian because the first bill that came in didn't seem right to me. I gotta call the customer service accounting department to find out what some of the charges were, because I remember paying all that money upfront in the original purchase price of the house, which included the installation, and they charge me a $85 installation fee, which was never part of the original package as it was presented to me by the marketing person. But overall, I recommend them.

    I had a fairly good interaction with the Guardian reps initially, but the last transfer seemed to be underhanded and I was not very happy. It was similar to a timeshare that I had once where the bill seemed to get bigger and bigger. They were gonna transfer the bill of the new equipment on to my bill and spread it out over. They also got a bill of almost $1,000 for the equipment and I wanted them to take it out. I may have signed that in the paperwork, but that was not the way I understood it. Even if I have to pay a fee for them to take it out, I can’t pay the $1,000.

    When I moved the second time, they rolled it into my monthly payment and my monthly payment stayed the same from the first time I got the service to when I moved. They rolled the equipment in again and now, we could never get our money back, so we needed them to pay. The person that I talked to when it was gonna be transferred over never made it clear to me that they needed the $900 upfront to pay for the equipment. If he had said that, I would have not agreed to continue the service.

    I said that I needed to make sure that when we transfer it over, my payment is gonna be the same and that I’m not gonna be charged extra for the equipment. He said that my payment’s gonna stay the same and that’s the way I understood it. So far, I’ve been through two people and one said that he will have to get back to me. Somebody got back to me in two days and said that they were gonna have to look and see and if they can take the equipment out. They usually don’t do that so they were gonna have to get back to me. I have good credit and I don’t want it to be ruined. I need to get formality on this. Halfway through, I’m not impressed with the customer service rep. The original person that helped me with the transfer was not clear to me. I bought a timeshare eight years ago and I was just making an example, but I felt misled by the last representative that aided me in the transfer.

    The installer was friendly and very accommodating to where I wanted things put and he seemed to know what he was doing. The system is all-inclusive. I wanted a sensor on each window, a sensor on the door, a smoke carbon dioxide, and glass break motion detector. I wanted a complete system. I also like the app. If someone’s outside or if my landlord needs to get in or if I forgot to arm it, I can do it from my phone. The system is good, but as far as the situation I’m in now, I would never recommend Guardian Protection Services to anybody.

    This experience destroys everything that has happened in the past and now I’m dealing with this $1,000 bill. If they’re not gonna admit that they misled me or that there was an error and they won’t work with me on rolling it into my payment, then I’m gonna have to figure out how to get out of it because it’s not on my budget. My budget is $58 a month and that’s what I’ve been paying for the past for many years. I don’t want it any more than that, so if it’s gonna be more than that, I can’t continue the service.

    I moved to a different house and I got this guy's name. He installed the Guardian Protection Services' system and he showed me how to use everything. It was all good. Once, my motion sensor went off when I was out of town. Something must have fallen over. The police told me that if I ever do it again, they're gonna charge me. But that was it. I haven't had any problems. It goes off when it's supposed to go off. That's what I need, so that's what I got.

    I've had Guardian for a few years now and they have fulfilled most of their obligations to us. Their system's features are good too. Recently, we have been trying to get a light to protect our outside area. We had a group of people who broke into my son's car which was outside. They took some things out and did a bit of damage. However, Guardian's rep said we couldn't do anything because we gotta get the new system. Also, he said what we wanted would cost about $1,000.

    Guardian was the subcontractor for the contracting company we bought the house from. My wife works at the local high school as a counselor so we put Guardian's system in for added notification if someone or some teenage kid that might have a problem with her broke into the house. Their reps went down through the list of what we could do, then we pick what we wanted. Then the technician did what I expected during the installation. I met him at the house and he did whatever he did down in the basement at the box. He also explained how to use the keypad to arm and disarm the system.

    We have the system connected to three doors and a window downstairs, and then the motion detector. However, our understanding was that our two dogs and cat would not trigger the motion detector near one door. But every time I arm it, they trigger it. I can go online and disable that, but it's a rigamarole to do and I have yet to figure out how to do that from the keypad. I get a call right away if the dogs have tripped the alarm, as well. It’s connected to the garage door, too, so I can put it up or down remotely. Overall, our experience with Guardian Protection Services has been good.

    I was disappointed with the person that did the Guardian Protection Services installation. He was on his phone the whole time. The minute he walked in, he was having a personal conversation and when it was time for him to finish up, he rattled through everything. My daughter didn't understand a word he said. He was trying to get it done which was disheartening. Also, I wanted additional features with the package, however, they weren't available. When I ask the installer, he said that it would be extra and that he doesn’t have it on his truck. I like the service that Guardian provides though.

    The installation representative of Guardian Protection Services was very thorough as if this was a brand new system and he explained everything. He walked my husband through every single aspect of how it works, so he appreciated that. He also didn't talk to my husband condescendingly or like he was dumb. I'm very pleased with their customer service support just by speaking with them on the phone and their willingness to help.

    One time, we set off our alarm accidentally, so they called us right away at midnight and we explained that we made a mistake. We put the wrong setting on but their reps were happy that everything was okay and it wasn't that we needed emergency assistance. I'm really happy when I call customer service. They're very responsive and very understanding. They always ask what they can do for me and I really appreciate that. When you call a company and you get that kind of customer service, it makes you feel good about paying the monthly fee and you don't feel bitter about it. It's definitely gonna be worth the money that we're investing in that.

    I'm also very happy with the features offered in our system. We have the doorbell camera and other people get that from other providers, but I like that it's all available with one provider and I can log into my app and keep track of my thermostat. Also, I can arm my system and disarm it remotely, so I'm really happy with those features. It's really cool. My parents and my in-laws help us with the children a lot while we're at work, so they can just call me and say that they're on the way and ask me to disarm the alarm. They're older, so having to press the buttons and the code makes them nervous. The fact that I can do it remotely is really neat.

    We definitely sleep a little easier knowing that we can arm the system and not worry about it. I tell others about the great customer service of Guardian Protection Services and how I like that everything is in one app. My parents have a home alarm system and they also have the doorbell, but those are two separate apps and they don't speak to each other. So, they have to go to two different places to review their security cameras. They have expressed that they wish they had something like mine, where it was all available in one, single application.

    Working with Guardian has been a bad experience. We have moved several times and our account has been linked to several different homes. I still receive alarm notifications from homes of the past. I have called and emailed for several months now to get this changed, and even with email confirmation, the situation continues. After being a customer for 4 years I'm ready to move on from this company. They said it would be a $700 charge. I have a business that has an alarm company that is much easier to deal with. I recommend doing your research first.

    The home already had a Guardian sign out front and it had some of the equipment inside but the reps I spoke first were the reason I chose Guardian. They seemed so down to earth and like they would be there if I need them, whereas, with other places, you would have to wait on hold. I liked the human interaction and I kept the service. The reps guided me with the features although I got a little bit confused because I've never had to work with stuff like this before. Also, the tech who installed the system kept calling me señorita every time he addressed me which was kind of weird and I didn't really like it. But it was not a big deal. He did great work and we had no problem.

    I like the features in my system but I don't really like the window break sensors. I wish it actually had a sensor if the window was open because if I'm gonna be broken into, I feel like they would just pry open the window as opposed to breaking it. So, I'm hoping that eventually, I'll be able to have enough money to get the actual sensor. Other than that, I like the Stay and Away features and the smartphone features are easy to work with. My mother-in-law was watching my dog for a week and she was able to do it with no problems. So, that was cool. Having Guardian adds peace of mind and it feels safer. I would recommend them and I already have. I'm on an app and people were looking for a security system and asked who should they go with and I told them Guardian is the way to go.

    My 80 year old mother with dementia has had to move from her house because she can no longer take care of herself. I have contacted Guardian to have her service terminated. We have been told there will be a $1260 cancellation fee. They said my options were to provide a doctor's verification or find someone to take over the contract. I am a single working mother who now has to take care of her mother and I do not have time to jump through these hoops just to terminate her service and she does not have $1260 just to cancel an account. And find someone to take over the contract??? Who does this??? I requested to speak with a supervisor and was told they refused to speak with me. I was also told my mother's account would be sent to collections. Guardian is taking advantage of the elderly by trying to get an outrageous fee from someone who can no longer care for themselves. This is disgusting!

    When I went to the design center to pick out all the options for my home, the builder provided Guardian. All the people I’ve dealt with from Guardian, as well as all the products, have been great. The reps knew what they were talking about and they were friendly too. The installation went smoothly and the technician that came out to my house was great, very friendly, very nice, and was a hard worker. He also cleaned up after himself when he was done.

    We use the smartphone features every day and I like how I could check my cameras, check on my house when I wasn’t at home, and arm the system right from my bed on my phone.     Guardian reps have been awesome. The guy that sold it to me and briefed me on it did an excellent job. He kept things moving forward and I appreciated it. Also, the guys that put it in were very friendly. One was training a new guy and both of them were very knowledgeable and had no issues. They answered all my questions and explained all of it to me. I had to go back and study the pamphlet to see exactly what was what and I'm becoming very comfortable with it.

    I had ADT before and with Guardian, I get texts or emails all the time. I know when somebody comes in the house late. It's much better, more technologically advanced than ADT is. Going out the front door, I don't have to turn the key or anything. I just point to a lock button and it locks automatically. I could see whether the door is locked from a slight distance because if it flashes red and that means it's locked. If it flashes green, it means it's unlocked. So, I liked that. But there's a little piece that is out of contact at one of the doors that came off and I pushed it back in but they will be coming out to make sure it doesn’t come off again. Also, when you come in or go out at night and dial a couple of wrong numbers into your system, you can't see the numbers because the pad is not lighted. I wish that could be taken care of.

    Outside of that, the equipment is great. With Guardian and my camera system, I feel much safer and secure. I can feel what's going on and see things before they get here. Guardian is by far the best I've heard of and I've seen. I've seen these local commercials on TV where they send you a box and you place stuff on the wall or the window and this system is not like that. You place up your smoke detector over your carbon monoxide detector or your glass break. It works well for me.

    I was once a customer of this company and always received great service. I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. I was severely injured that caused me to be unable to keep my house. Guardian is now asking me to pay the $645.00 owed to them and I am only living off my VA disability. Was working with a manager then all of the sudden started getting calls from a law firm. I don't think they understand how much they don't compensate disabled vets that are unable to work. Very disappointed in how I have been treated after risking my life and well being for this country. After getting hurt doing so I am getting harassed for 645 dollars.

    After this review the company reached out to me and we came to a satisfactory agreement. Long story short I was a victim of a bait and switch by the (then) authorized dealer Skyline Security, which Guardian no longer does business with. The copy of the contract that I signed in ink was NOT the same as the one that was sent to me to electronically sign, which is what Guardian had in their system. Yes, I should have read the electronic copy. That is on me and I accept responsibility. However, that does not change that this is a very unscrupulous business practice on the part of Skyline Security.

    After seeing this review, Guardian revisited my complaint and we were able to come to agreement on the termination fee. While not completely eliminated, I can't rightfully say it should be since I shouldn't have assumed the third party dealer's electronic contract was on the up an up and it wasn't Guardian itself that directly made the sale. It is an amount I am able to pay, and will serve as a reminder to be more diligent when it comes to personal business affairs.

    I cannot revise this from a 1 star to 5 star review (there's a bad taste in everyone's mouth after this), but a satisfactory 3 star accurately reflects my experience as Guardian was willing to at least work with me (after much prodding) to make things somewhat right.

    Also, DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SKYLINE SECURITY IS SELLING YOU. EVER!

    In April 2017 we were sold a contract with special conditions that Guardian has NOT lived up to. When we attempted to get this contract invalidated, they tell us they have a "more current" electronic contract and refuse to terminate the contract. We sent them a copy of our yellow form carbon copy and they ADMIT that the contracts do not match. Which means the SALESMAN SENT THEM A FALSIFIED CONTRACT without the special conditions.

    They are refusing to terminate an invalid deal and now are forcing us to get this resolved via the court system. I will not drop this and I refuse to be bullied by a company with shady business practices such as this one. Do not go with this company unless you want to be lied to and then told you must hold up your end of the bargain while they do whatever they want under the threat of ruining your credit.

    I like the different services that Guardian offered. Their sales reps were very knowledgeable and helped answer my questions. In fact, all of my questions were answered by Guardian's reps and they were very hands-on even when I was just getting my house built. The installation was also good and the installer showed me how to do everything. I have the system for two weeks now and I love its features. I like the video doorbell and the fact that I can turn my alarm off with my phone even before I get in my house. Also, the quality of the equipment is A-plus. One day, my alarm went off because of the smoke detector and their reps called me right away. They were very helpful. I feel very comfortable since having Guardian and I did not feel secure like that prior to having them. I was always checking my doors and every little sound. But now, I don't do that anymore and I feel safe. I would recommend them and tell others that they should sign up for Guardian.

    I used Guardian Protection when I was staying in the home that I was renting. Then when I moved to a new home, Guardian did pre-wiring through my builder. The interaction with the person who sold Guardian to me was fine. However, when I was trying to get the system installed in my home, some of those interactions were shaky. Unbeknownst to me, I didn’t have an option to cancel or downgrade my service once it was already in. They also charged me the highest amount that they could. When I tried to inquire about the rate because I got a lower one from ADT and from Zenith, Guardian was rude in explaining to me why I had to stay with them or what I had to do in order to cancel. So we went back and forth. I asked the people to give me a callback but they never did so I ended up being stuck with them.

    The one thing that I didn’t like is that they brought me on when I was on the stages of designing my home. I did it back in February and then the home wasn’t built until July. They have custom features, but I didn’t really get an estimate of what I needed or wanted until after I got into the whole building phase. Nevertheless, the installation was quick and the quality of the system is so good. It has only been in for less than 30 days and I haven't had any problems. I also use the smartphone features and they're great. I feel confident that Guardian is definitely covering me. The alarm went off once because we did something incorrectly, learning the system, and they called right away. They were very friendly too. The service of Guardian is fine, overall.

    We were referred by a friend to Guardian Protection Services but overall, I haven’t been too thrilled with it. The first time we used them, it was terrible. This time was okay but the only reason that we are still using it is because we’re stuck with the contract. We were lied to about a lot of stuff such as what we would get. I had to fight with the reps over the phone for three hours about the free installation. We ended up paying a few hundred dollars to get it installed when we moved. They also lied about the ways of the contract and it fell on me because I didn’t read the fine print when I signed everything. I shouldn’t have had to and the representative should have been honest with me. It was a cheater contract and a lot longer than two years.

    We moved in with my mother because we were trying to save up money for a down payment on the house. We were in my mom's house for 10 months and Guardian told us that our account was on a freeze and they would let us know if they were gonna unfreeze it. However, they randomly un-froze my account then charged me $50 when I was not even using the system. I called and I told them to give me my money back. They said they could credit it to my account for whenever it was turned back on which was fine. They refroze it but on the next month, they charged me again. I'm just not happy with it at all. They do not care and they haven't done anything to try to make it right. It’s extremely frustrating.

    There has been a couple of times where our camera randomly doesn’t work for no reason. It doesn't show up on the app even though it's working just fine. Then, it would come back on without us even doing anything. So that's kind of annoying, but other than that, the equipment is fine. I would not recommend them at all because of the bad customer service and not because of the equipment. I would tell people to go with ADT, or something else.

We went over all of the paperwork and what was going to be installed and when. We’re satisfied with the system, so far.     I've been a customer of Guardian Protection since late 2011. I had a great experience with them through my time with my home in Austin, TX, and they were very helpful in freezing my account a couple years ago so I could pick it up again after my move to Dayton, NV. I was eligible for a nice system upgrade given my years as a customer, I was eager to accept. I got a great system with a camera and a glass break detector. Now this year is where problems begin. Several months after the camera was installed, it broke down. Since it should have been under warranty, I didn't hesitate to have someone come out and fix it. Turns out it had died and their tech replaced it. No big deal. I then got billed $200 for the service call, which left me a bit irate. I paid it and went back to having my functional camera.

    A few weeks ago, the camera broke down again. Upon calling Guardian, I find that my account has been sold without my knowledge to Brinks Security. Guardian says they can't help fix my camera because the account now belongs to Brinks. I've called Brinks now and they also apparently can't help me because Guardian is supposed to be responsible for the equipment as they are the ones that installed it. I'm furious, I've wasted a couple weeks trying to get someone from Guardian to help fix this mess to no avail. Feels like I've been a loyal customer for seven years just to be suddenly tossed aside when a problem arises with the equipment and now it feels like they're avoiding me. I'm giving this two stars only because of the past years of service where everything was great. No idea what changed this year, but I'm now heavily considering switching to another provider.

    We built a home with Ryan Homes and got Guardian for our home security. The Guardian reps were excellent when they were setting us up and were very informative. They walked us through the entire process and they all knew what they were talking about. And with us not ever owning a home security system, it was great to get all the information. The overall price is good too, especially the monthly. The whole process was seamless.

    The installation process was a little longer than expected though, but we got additional security sensors on the windows. We also didn’t get the discount that would’ve been offered through the sales rep. We were never told about it prior to him coming on site. The sales rep knew that we had a big dog that would set off the motion detector, so we can’t really have the motion detector on. So we got the glass breaker, but that doesn’t really help because windows are not broken and just wedged up. And it would’ve been nice to have an extra sensor for the window at the same price because they got one less and it was ten more dollars. But overall, the equipment is of high quality.

    We use the smartphone features too and I like that I can turn things on and off from my phone. It’s very convenient. Also, when we open a door, if we don’t turn the system off, there’s that loud noise. We have 60 seconds to turn it off, but it’s nice not having that really loud noise with the dog inside. Since having Guardian, I feel safe. Even if I forget to turn on the security system, it’s nice to know I can see if any doors are open while that is on. I would recommend Guardian Protection.

    Guardian Protection Services offered free installation that wound up costing $100 and three parts but we didn’t mind because they gave us free GE equipment. The salesman was a nice guy and he knew what he was doing. Also, the installers were pleasant and easy to work with. The installation went smoothly but they wound up reinstalling the system a couple of times because of equipment failures. The batteries would last a week, two at the most. We got tired of having them come out and replace the battery and they wanted to charge us for it. So, I told them, “Get it working, or take it out of here.” That was when they sent one of their senior installers to install it correctly and it has worked ever since. We’d like to see a few more internet-based services, but it is what it is. It wasn’t an option at the time we got the system. We’ve been pleased with the system but go with one of the cheaper services. We didn’t need the $52 bill a month for that kind of service.

    We were robbed and thereafter we decided to go with Guardian. Their technicians came in and put in the alarm system. While their customer service has been okay, it's a lot of money for what we get. When we got their equipment, there was hardly any other optics around except ADT. Now people can buy a security camera for 50 bucks and get it for a month with the same business for $20 a month. Instead, we're paying $50. We signed the contract and we have to be with them for five years, so we're stuck. People should be careful when getting Guardian's system. While everything else about them is fine, I wouldn't recommend this company for the price.

    There was a box already set up in the living room for Guardian's system and their reps got me a deal since my house was already pre-wired. Albie was a good guy and as a representative, he helped me out tremendously. He explained step by step what they were gonna do and how we were gonna set up. He got the cameras right where I wanted them as far as placement goes, and he did a very good job. Overall, The features offered in my system are good and I like them. What I got also came with a surround sound system. Having Guardian has made it safer for the house because I'm out in West Texas and I'm gone two weeks at a time.     The Guardian reps' professionalism and demeanor were fine. They asked me how many doors and windows are in the house, so they kind of guided me. The features in my system are great and the overall quality of our equipment is good. I like being able to turn my system on and off with my phone, too.     I searched a lot of security companies and Guardian sounded good at that time for me. Their customer service is normally good. I get very frustrated sometimes, and the only reason is that I would get a person that doesn’t know what they're doing and they refuse to pass me to somebody else that can help me better. I've walked into a couple of those problems. Also, we didn't get a capable panel to do Z-Wave home automation because Guardian's prices are totally crazy. They told me they don't deal with devices that are already Z-Wave, which I have, and that I would have to buy stuff from them but their prices are not cheap. And I understood that, but at the same time, if you have a car and you have insurance, you don’t have to sell the car and buy a new car to get another insurance company.

    I have two locations with Guardian, a house in New Jersey and another in Florida. With anything we do in New Jersey, everything runs smooth. If there's any problem, we take care of it right away and everything is cool. With the house in Florida, because I get the service and I get the knowledge in New Jersey, I expect to have the same thing, which should be the same. But every time we do something, something always comes out and most of the time, something goes wrong. The biggest issue I have with the Florida location is that the devices don’t function the same as up here in New Jersey. We always have a problem with the batteries.

    Also, for example, I would call for a service call in Florida and the guy would come out without the piece that I called about. But the last couple of times have been a lot better. They have been really good the last year because they were quick and they've been a lot better than what it used to be. We used them a lot. It has been not bad so far and I just signed up with them again for two years. I feel better when I go away or when I go to sleep at night because I know that if something is to happen, I'll always have a system that can tell me somebody is breaking through the backdoor. In a sense, it's peaceful that way. Guardian is good and reliable.

    So being in the Army I move all the time. When I first started service you guys said that it would be no issue moving and for my first move it wasn't. I had to pay a small $30 charge for the service call and was good to go. Now I just moved again and tried to get my services moved and was told you guys don't do the relocation thing anymore and would have to pay $600 for relocating. Which means you just decided to change your mind on how your policies work.

    I am not going to pay $600 to move the services and so talked to customer service. They said I had to pay $750 to cancel which is not reasonable because if you guys did the move before and that was your policy and you changed your policy afterwards then you are changing the terms. I just don't understand how you can do business like this, if you knew that before I started service that I was in the military and moved around a lot. Now I am not sure what to do. I am canceling but do not feel like I should have to pay $750 for this to happen.

    My wife chose Guardian Protection Services and they were helpful. They provided information like how the system would benefit our house, what to install and the best way to install.     We've always had some type of a system in place, and our Guardian system works with what we had. It's nice to have peace of mind. Guardian's technicians were great. They walked me through all the different pieces of the system. I like the features on our system. They're perfect for what we need them for. It's great to have the alarm system part of it to the door and the camera. Also, the overall quality of our security equipment is excellent. I've had no issues with it and it's worked where I need it to. I like the availability to have different users. When my daughter checks in, I know that she put her code in and that she's home. So, it's a good feature.

    We had ADT in the past and I liked the service, but Guardian's been great with having the doorbell and everything else. The only thing I don't like about Guardian right now is that I get too many notifications, and there's no way to really hone it down to less. I called Guardian's customer service about reducing the notifications and how sensitive things are. Their representatives have been fine and they handled my situation well. I just don't think that there's anything in place that allows them to be able to adjust it any further than it is.

    I feel better having my Guardian security system in my home. Guardian was recommended to me. The sales rep had been fine and the guy who installed the system was good. Their customer service is doing their job, but I had to go around them because I had a system that was 10 days old, and the sensor fell off. They told me it was gonna be five days to get somebody out here to put the sensor back on. So I called my salesperson, and within an hour, I had somebody here. I like the features in my system. They’re easy to use. I use the smartphone features a lot, and I like it better than the control panel because my control panel’s not with me all the time.

    The saleslady from Guardian Protection gave us all the options and the functions. She explained it very good and the locations to where to put things. She has very good suggestions as well. The installation was low-key. There was no pressure. It was very easy going, comfortable and a good experience. The system has a lot of features that we never heard about. The installation guy was very informative. We enjoyed it. It’s like going shopping. There was a lot of security issues, things that we never knew about that is out there, that you could control with a phone. I appreciate all their help and all the information.     Everything went well in communicating with the Guardian reps and I had my son, who was familiar with the system, help us through the process with the salesman. The tech, Ronnie, was very good and he explained everything very well. He was very meticulous about getting things organized in the box and getting it set up. The features are good and I just have to learn them. I had an incident where I was cooking and the smoke alarm went off. I couldn't remember what my password was. Everybody called and the next thing you know, the fire department was here. Other than that, the quality of the equipment has been good. I love the smartphone features, especially the ability to open and close the garage doors. We have had it for about a month and I have always felt secure since having Guardian.

    The features in Guardian’s package were comparable to what I had but the panel was button and they charged for the screen whereas with the other company, it was included. I went with them even if I didn't want to because I wanted the camera out back immediately and I didn’t wanna have to wait. The initial salesperson from Guardian was terrible and he was very hard to find. I had to call other people to contact him regarding the contract before I signed. The installation part was great but he just explained the basics. So, there are probably still things about the system that I don’t know. The follow-up felt like it was because they were supposed to call and not that they were really trying find out if there was anything they can do to help me. They were doing the bare minimum because they were already in there with the builder. So, it was not a good experience and I would not recommend them to anybody.

    The construction company that I used recommended Guardian Protection Services. We sat down with them and they explained us how they work, and they just sounded pretty straight. We had a long interaction with the salesman with a film and he explained the equipment, how it would work and how it was gonna be installed. It was installed better than they said because I didn’t know it was inside the walls. However, the device that controls the garage door wasn’t completed because the garage door motor had a problem when they installed it. I’m supposed to call back and make an appointment to complete that installation, but everything else is working fine. They installed the see and talk to the person through the doorbell camera and I like that you can just use the cellphone to make the system work. I told others that the system is working perfectly fine and it is a good option to observe and consider.

    I have had this company over a year now and I realized that my email alerts changed to Brinks. I reached out to them and found out they put me down for a 5 year contract. They sold me over to Brinks without my knowledge. The guy from Guardian assured me that I would be under a 2 year contract. They will take advantage of single woman. Buyers be aware. I can only imagine how they treat the elderly. I will never recommend them!!!

    I was very pleased with Guardian's proposal before I went to buy from them. When I worked with their reps, they were very friendly. They gave me options and got me the system I needed. Furthermore, their installer knew exactly what to do and he was very resourceful. He was also communicative and explained to me all the things I needed to know. Since the installation, I've been liking the remote alarm and dis-alarm of my system. I also very pleased with the doorbell with a camera.     I took over the Guardian Protection security system from the previous owner of the house. When I moved into the house, I had two false alerts and it happened one more time last week. The alarm started making that loud sound at 4 o’clock in the morning it. So, I ran out and the system said that the garage window broke. When I walked to the garage, nothing was going on. That was what exactly happened before and it's something that I don't want to happen because I have a one-year-old baby and it was scary. It's also terrible for one-year-old babies. Guardian called me right away and asked if I needed a police to come in. The rep told me I could probably get a monitoring department, but I told him everything was fine.

    The technician came over, checked everything and he said everything was fine, and he left. The security system is doing good in general and I'm happy so far. Also, the smartphone features are a good idea and they are pretty easy to use. When I forgot to turn on the system, I was able to turn it on when I was two hours away from my house.

    Guardian Protection Services was recommended by our builder Jimmy, our salesman, was really great, very friendly and knowledgeable. The installation was a very pleasant experience. It was very easy. Christian, our installation tech, was great too. He was very friendly and pleasant. He was one time, had gotten the work done, and didn't leave a mess. He also showed me how to operate everything.

    Two weeks later, we had an issue with the battery in one of the little squares next to the smoke detector. We were not able to use our security system because we had to reset it at least three times a day, which was annoying. We had to wait a couple of weeks for the issue to get resolved. Aside from that, everything was good, even the customer service that we called to get that issue taken care of. They were very friendly and helpful. I like my cell phone app, which makes it very convenient when I’m leaving in a hurry and I forget to set my alarm. So far, everything has been great. I feel a little more secure with Guardian Protection Services. My husband feels even better than me. He’s not home nightly and he has more peace of mind.

    When we moved in, Guardian was already installed at the house but the system hadn't been activated yet. I had quite a few conversations with their reps when I thought it was malfunctioning but it turned out that it was the smoke detector slash carbon monoxide detector that was malfunctioning. When the technician came to check the system, I had them activated the system at the same time. There was a lot of back and forth but the people were very kind and accommodating. I was initially told that there would be one-price because I was gonna go with a landline service with the system versus a cell phone service. When the technician got here, he said it would just be too difficult to use the landline because we got the drill pretty broken. As a consequence, they gave me a small discount on my monthly service since I had to use a cell phone.

    The panel that pre-existed when I moved here was outdated. The technician who came to activate the system changed the panel. He put in a touch screen feel and it was really nice. The system's features are simple and I like it. I am alone with a younger sister who has Down syndrome so she's very low functioning, and it's difficult getting her in and out of the house. She's ambulatory, but it's still difficult because there are stairs. It's a new place for her so she has been afraid of the house. It's been nice having a system that is so easy to use. I have to take her outside, go back in the house and activate the system, then go back out. When we arrive home, I have to move her outside for a minute then run in and deactivate the system.

    I have been really happy with the functionality of the system and I am a lot more secure. Knowing that the system is on at night for us is a big bonus. I could sleep a lot easier and more comfortable as well. Guardian is affordable and I like how the system is set up, their customer service and their technician. We were a mess the first couple of weeks and I asked the name of the second technician because if I have to call in the future, I would ask him. It has been a great experience with Guardian and I have no complaints.

    We moved in to a house that we built with Epcon. But I wanted to have a built-in vex machine and Epcon has never done it before. So, they were looking around and we ended up getting a security system with Guardian. When we went for our initial meet, their reps were very good and very helpful. We did it in a hurry because Epcon had to get through all their stuff right away before we even started building. But the people from Guardian were very careful to explain stuff to us. Their names were Michael and Richard and they were great.

    We've been with Guardian for about 3 1/2 weeks and the only thing we’re waiting on now is for the Z-Waves to be put in the switches. We’re supposed to have that so that we could do our thermostat, our lights, and our garage door. Apparently, somewhere there was a glitch in the communication between Guardian and Epcon since Epcon had never worked with that before and I didn’t even know what that was before. So far, the gal that we deal with personally is off today and tomorrow. After that, we’re gonna have her come over and we’re gonna detail it out for her, because they were supposed to contact the boss or the project managers about it. So, she’ll get to the top honchos so that they'll make sure they get together, get over here, and put the rest in.

    Other than that, the other reps in Guardian's team that came out to the house gave us very good service. We had a lot of trouble understanding one of the guys that came out, Victor, when he was trying to explain stuff to us. But he tried and he really spent a lot of time here. Then the next time they came out, they came with two guys who explained everything and we were happy. They did a good job and the security system is user-friendly. In fact, I set it off this morning as I forgot it was on. Unlike older systems, the alarm knew that I had set it off and turned it off. So, they didn’t even make a call to the house. And the response was within seconds so, they knew that I had recoded it.

    I needed a home security system and a girl who works in the office that my sons’ owns said she has Guardian and hooked me up with it. Then, I traveled and when I came in town six weeks ago, I had it put in in my house. A nice young lady came there and another truck shot came in there. Then, there was another gentleman who did a lot of stuff and had it all done. Then, I went back to Canada and something went wrong with the system. They called me and I flew back in and the guy got everything straightened out. The gentleman that came out here was phenomenal. His name was Eric and he got it all straightened out. My doorbell worked and my bedroom smoke alarm weren't working properly and they worked. He did tremendous and I was very well-pleased with it.

    I like the features and it all works real good. I can push the button and I can see who's walking up to the front of my house and that makes me feel very nice and wonderful. I'm not even there but I can watch what's going on in my house. I use my cellphone and I can push the button right there. I would tell somebody about Guardian because I'm in show business and I travel constantly all the time. A lot of my friends do the same thing. With Guardian, I feel much safer at night. It makes you feel good that you know that you can look at something or see what's going on. I wish they could put it on my RV Coach.

    We recently moved, and Guardian helped us to transfer and set up the new equipment. It took the guy some time, probably from 8:30 to 1:30, as he was trying to figure out something that wasn't up. He had to call the customer service to get something that we needed to activate the system. And then, with figuring out where to put the cameras, my husband felt like the guy didn't really suggest where. I get it that he wanted us to determine where we want it, but my husband wanted a little bit more direction or for the guy to suggest a good spot because he's an experienced professional. So, once my husband asked about it, then the guy stepped up and shared.

    Our keypad now looks totally different than what we had before. It's a touchscreen where the other one was a regular keypad. We also use the app all the time. I like it. We're able to arm or disarm the system and check our cameras with it. Having Guardian brings that extra sense of security that in case something happens, someone would be there. Everything in our experience with them has been good. I would recommend them.

    I have been with Guardian since July. Dealing with them went fine except when the guy came to install everything. I thought I was getting something different. So then, the very nice salesman had to come back. And then, I recently got a smartphone, so I could access my system with that too which is good. And then, it was funny because my salesman said he'd come back and would be happy to help me set up the smartphone app. Then I happened to talk to somebody who said he could help me but had a problem. So, I was surprised that he wasn’t able to help me. My daughter helped me and I found out that instead of going in Google, we were supposed to go in Google Store. Overall, I'm very happy that I decided to get a security system. The only thing is that they had promised me two months free and I haven't seen that yet, so I'm a little bit concerned about that.

    About a week ago, I purchased my new home. I inherited an inactive Guardian alarm system, that I was not able to address, until this morning. My plan was to contact this company, but of course, there were so many things to do and address right after settlement; I was not able to address this, right away. This morning, at 4:30, my power went out, and when it came back on, the alarm began beeping, rapidly. After a few minutes of that, and trying to figure out what was going on (we were half asleep), the alarm started going off, as if someone had just broke in. The screen said battery and then AC.

    I contacted Guardian to find out how to turn it off. I explained that I just bought the house, and that I do not have an account with them, but I needed their help asap. The first person I spoke with, Andy, kept telling me I needed the password. I explained, I have no password, I just bought this house. Andy did not care, so I asked for his supervisor, Michael. Michael was the same. Like a robot, every response was simply, I need the password. He finally said, you could call customer service at 6:00am, and they could help you.

    At that time, it was about 4:45am. Miraculously, the alarm stopped. I said what if it happens again? What could I do? His response again was, I need your password. I said, so what you are saying is that for the next, near hour and a half, I am stuck, since I have no password. He said I can contact the previous owners (as if it is that simple at 4:30am), and ask them for the password.

    Fast forward to 6:15am; of course, power goes out again, and rapid beeping is back. This time, I spoke with someone else, and she was able to walk me through disconnecting the system. I understand the security aspect, but if I am practically begging for help with an alarm that is going off at 4:30 in the morning, and I cannot provide a password, why couldn't they just contact their customers on file, and ask them if everything was ok, since their alarm was being reported as setting off. At that moment, their customers could have confirmed that they no longer reside in that house. How absolutely awful of this company to not use the heads to try to find a way to work with me, the first time around.

Guardian's reps have been very helpful with every question I have to help me hook things up, and use the phone and the app. The installation of the system also went really well. When we had a cable in the wrong place, the guy changed it for us, and he hooked it up. He answered all the questions that we had and he took his time.     I had Guardian Protection at my other house for 15 years and I didn’t have any issues until we moved. I called to let them know that we were building another house and to have it prewired just like we had the previous one. I was told that they no longer needed to prewire and that everything was wireless. So, we did not have the house prewired and it was almost like a domino effect. It wasn’t until the tech came out to install it that everybody realized it would have been easier if it was prewired. When the guy came, we wanted the keypads on the wall and they had to be placed near an outlet, because now, they had to run something from there to an outlet as opposed to having it behind the wall.

    One had to be run behind the wall and there was a problem. We had to call an electrician to fix it. I'm not really thrilled with the fact that I tried to get this house prewired so we didn’t have any issues and then we ended up dealing with a whole different system. We had to wait for an electrician to come out and we had to unplug one. The battery backup wore out and when we plugged it back in, it was like tripping all of our systems. We had to have Guardian come back out. It was just a battery replacement but something had to be reset. Everything they quoted us was way less than we really needed or we should have had. So, we ended up paying a lot more for this system install.

    My old system was very simple, but in the 15 years that I had it, I didn’t talk to Guardian as much as I talked to them in the three weeks that we had this one here. Some of it is just the new technology but a lot of it went back to the fact that the sales department told me I didn’t need to have this house prewired before the walls were up. But now, we have our pads where we want them although I would have preferred to have all the keypads on the walls and now, I have one sitting on a dresser in the master bedroom. It's okay but it wasn’t nearly as easy as my first experience.

    Also, they told us it's $2 more for a paper bill which we would have been getting together at our house. We said we would do the online direct debit or auto-pay. There was one that was supposed to come out and we're supposed to get a notification and I don’t believe I've gotten one. In worst-case scenarios, if it's an issue, we pay $2 more a month which is not that big of a deal. Other than that, everything has been fine since the initial frustration. I would still recommend Guardian. I would tell people if they were building a new house to not let Guardian tell them that they don’t need to prewire and I would tell them to insist.

    I've had Guardian for a month now and the people who came out to the house were wonderful. They have the alarm system, but they also have all the electronic stuff that can be put in the house. The sales guy was great as we felt that he was being honest when he said that, “Well, I could tell you this but I wouldn’t put it at my house.” Then the installers came out and hooked up all the alarm stuff. The garage doors also operate as part of the system. I downloaded their own system ‘cause Guardian hasn’t been out yet. So that account had to be completely erased and a guy told us to call them the next day and that they also camp online.

    However, when I called customer service, they didn’t have a clue on not only on how to do it but also with what I was talking about. It was like the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing at the time. So, they got somebody out there and he took care of it. It was all resolved and I’m completely satisfied as far as that goes. Plus, their equipment seems to be very good. I like their smartphone feature a lot, and although it takes a bit of playing with, that’s fine for me. It’s usually how I arm my alarm at night but the annoying part was that it would alert my wife’s phone and my iPad every time. Now, I’ve learned how to take those off and it doesn’t wake my wife up when I set the alarm.

    We live in a very safe neighborhood and I have always had an alarm ever since my wife and I had owned the home for the last 18 years. We added a fire protection to the house. I used to be a firefighter and so I know the importance of that. I don’t own a gun and so Guardian and my dogs are my only security, which are good enough.

    The security system in the house that I'm renting right now is from Guardian Protection Services, which was the company that was also advised to me by my brother. The experience with Guardian is going well. Every time I called Guardian's customer service reps, they responded professionally and have been reactive. I'm very satisfied with them and the guy who came for the installation was friendly. He trained me on how to use their system and it was a good experience. The features they offered were good, however, I'd like to make the house fully connected with the Google Home and I don't know if there is a possibility of doing that. But other than that, the quality of their equipment is good when it comes to responding. For example, if the doors are not closed, I know why they're not closed. I live in an apartment and I used to feel unsafe, but with Guardian there, I feel safe.

    I knew ADT was cheaper but I never heard much good about the company. Then I saw a Guardian sign of a neighbor up the road, so I talked to her and that was when I went with Guardian. Their reps were excellent and the technician I had was awesome. His name was Mike and he explained everything to me from the get-go. From the moment he walked in the door until he left, I got information. He showed me how to use things and I felt comfortable after he left, which isn't normal with being left with new equipment like that, but I felt fine.

    So far, I'm quite happy with what I got. I love the doorbell option and I love the cameras in my yard and being able to monitor them. I also use the smartphone feature most of the time and I rarely use the panel. When I'm gone for work occasionally, I can just take a look at my phone and if there's anything out here, I can check then I can go back to sleep, so I don't have to get out there.     Guardian was pairing up with the builder that we built our house through. I was good enough with their reps that we decided to sign up. Some of these software or hardware we received was pretty new to the field technicians, so it took them multiple attempts and several visits to try to get it to all work. I ended up having to spend several hours trying to figure out myself too because they were having issues. But overall, I still got it to work. We recently had the techs out to put sensors on our doors. We've got the wireless garage door opening and closing now, security cameras, and the doorbell thing.

    The negative feedback that I have at this point is still kind of on-going and it's how some of the process worked out. I still can't get them to send me proof that I sent an email, but somehow they're stating that I signed to paying additional $200 of equipment and $5 more a month. The monthly increase isn’t that detrimental, but it's just the fact that somehow a signed document was sent but I have no recollections or proof in my email that it was sent to them, but I have it on every other document I sent. It’s my biggest gripe right now with Guardian and I'm trying to get it figured out. But aside from that, everything has been pretty good. The cameras has the 24-hour monitoring and the smartphone features are good. I like to pop in and check things out.

    The installation of the Guardian system went pretty good. The tech was knowledgeable but the job would have been much smoother if there were two technicians with the amount of installation that took place including installing four cameras outside. Also, we have problems with Guardian that we didn’t have with our previous security system. The doorbell went out within 48 to 72 hours and it is slow processing when trying to view my camera footage. But when I called their customer service, they acted swiftly. I moved into this home on the 23rd of June, so I'm still establishing a home site area to include into an exterior. I still need to do what I need to do to secure my property and my home. So far, the smartphone features are okay and we are getting used to the security system.

    When we bought our house it already had the Guardian Protection system but it wasn't active. Then I had two issues with them like when we got the doorbell video camera the rep didn't explain the additional doorbell which wouldn't work. He had to get the analog one, so I didn't know that until the installer came that day, so he had to come back. The other thing was they never explained that we had to commit to five years for the system.

    Nothing was ever mentioned until the salesman had already been here the whole time, talked about everything and then we were going to sign the final terms. I've been here for an hour, and everything was already all hammered out. It would've been nice to know that upfront. Other than those issues, the installer was knowledgeable, answered my questions and did everything that I asked him to. He also helped me set the video doorbell up when he came back. In addition, the quality of the security equipment is nice and it is all the digital touchscreen while NineStar, the one we had before, simply had the keypads, so the new one is easier to navigate through and use than the old style.

    Also, NineStar didn't have the smartphone feature and that was the whole reason why my wife made me switch over to the Guardian. Everything works fine and the only issue I have is that my doorbell camera catches my flag wave in the wind now. If it's a windy day, I'll get notifications all day that there are motions. Other than that, since I'm a firefighter and gone 24 hours plus we're out in the country, it's nice to have Guardian in our home.

    When we initially got the end of service from Guardian, a representative came to my house and set us up. I asked him that if the equipment goes with us if we ever move and he said that I didn't have to worry about the equipment. Guardian would install equipment for no charge since I already have their plan and a contract. I called Guardian to let them know that I was moving and that I wanted my services to continue to my new address. I spoke to one of the representatives and we talked for a minute. She explained to me that my services will be transferred over with no additional fee except for a $175. She read off to me that it included everything that I received. We set up for a day for them to come out, and start the services back up at my new location. My husband was home when the installer came. She told my husband that we needed a detector and something else.

    I got my bill for $600 something and Guardian went on to tell me that it was for some additional things that we had gotten. I told them that we did not need those plus we didn't want it. They told me that we signed for it but my husband did not get a contract. He did say that he had to sign on a little hand-held thing and was told that it would gonna be emailed to us. I went to our emails and I did not find anything that I have received from them. It hadn't even been a week yet and I asked them if they could just come back and get whatever additional they put in that cost $600. The representative went on to tell me that they were sorry but once they installed something, they couldn't take it out. When I told him that couldn't afford it, I was advised that he could send me over to someone who could set up a payment arrangement. I told him that I will get back with them.

    I'm very dissatisfied with Guardian because of what I was told and what happened. I don't feel like they were true and fair. Before this incident happened, I've never had any trouble out of them. However, I just felt like $600 for what they did was just too much. I have my stoppers coming off my doors where I have to keep pushing on back up there. The quality of the work wasn't even worth it.

    When I bought my house six years ago, I got Guardian and while my other house was being constructed, I moved the service over to the rental property. Once my new house was completed, I moved it over to the new house. One time, my wife set off the fire alarm when she was cooking something and a fire truck was on the front property within a minute and a half, so I stuck with them. Guardian was responsive and that was all that counts.

    But I feel like they charged me too much for moving the service. They made me sign a contract every time I moved and they tried to get me to extend it out for a year. Also, it was presented to me that they would move my service for free then I was told that I should be taking my equipment with me, so when I moved to my rental property, I had to buy a new smoke detector and a new glass break sensor. Other than that, I use the smartphone features all the time and it works well. If the sensor goes bad, they call me even if it will be in the middle of the night.

    I just bought my first home and I knew that Guardian was the security system I wanted to go with. They are the first alarm systems I've had. Growing up, my parents always say Guardian and my oldest sibling has Guardian as well. The salesperson, Bert, was a really good guy. He explained everything to me thoroughly and was very easy to understand. He let me know everything that they had that I could get and I got the exact system I wanted. He did a really good job with that. Anybody I deal with in customer service has been good as well. Then the installer was a really nice guy. He did the installation fairly quicker than I thought. I didn't realize that now everything is wireless, so the installation was really easy. The smartphone features are awesome especially in today's world where basically everybody, whether admitted or not, is addicted to their smartphones. It's really nice to be able to turn the alarm on and off and check out at anytime.

    We met with the salesperson from Guardian to set up our security system and to talk about our needs and he was great. The installer set the system up and walked me through it. He had to troubleshoot something because somebody installed some wiring incorrectly. He knew how to fix it and got it resolved quick. Also, I’ve had to call customer support a few times and they've been great. Every interaction I've had with them was super positive.

    Guardian offered a lot of stuff but the cost that goes into it was a big factor. And so, we curved out a lot of things to keep the cost affordable. So far, their equipment is good. The keypad is a little complicated if we wanna make some customizations to it, but the app and all of their online stuff work well. I use the app regularly to arm and disarm the system remotely. I also check the status thru that, which is the number one thing I used it for.

    I was about to cancel the contract with Guardian because I didn't think I would need it. But now that I've got this property, if I'm not at home or if my family is not home, I don't have to worry about not knowing if somebody's trying to break into my place. Guardian added to my peace of mind. To me, it's worth it enough to keep the subscription going and it's very nice to have.

    I was with ADT before then I switched to Guardian. Their sales reps answered all the questions I asked and their installer was very good, organized, and clean. He also told me so many things and everything he needed to do, he let me know before he did them. So far, I love Guardian better than ADT. They're a lot different and if there are any problems, they call right away. Their system is up-to-date as well unlike ADT which has a really old system. The quality of Guardian's equipment is perfect, too. I use the smartphone features and they are really good.

    The builder had a hookup with Guardian Protection Services and we have them for a month now. We put a whole system in with the speakers and receivers. We were dealing with Kermit and we had the wiring set for the TV to be on the wall but he forgot to put in the outlets so we have wires still hanging, which we did not want. But you live and learn. They fixed it now and things are doing good. The tech that came out was wonderful and very informative. So far, the quality of the system is very good though I wish we had a camera in the back. We only have a camera in the front. Other than that, our sense of security has been excellent and we can do everything by iPhone.

    Before Guardian, I had Vivint. I had the inside and outside cameras as well as the 360 cameras. I could control those from my phone to scroll through my house. Guardian had none of that but I went on ahead and used the service since the house I just bought already had Guardian. The installation went well. The installers came and did what they had to do. The panel's quality and everything else is pretty good. However, I keep getting alerts on my phone about my cameras being disconnected a lot. Also, with the cameras, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't go back and take the status of who had been to the house.

    Nevertheless, Customer service has been good. I told them that they need to try to recommend the 360 inside cameras service. Guardian would probably sell a lot if they could go into in-house monitoring systems. I like the way they say that works. You can monitor through the whole house. I wanted to add another camera in the back but they told me it was $280 for one camera because I already had two at the front of my house. I didn’t like that idea. I’m just gonna go and buy myself six more cameras for that much.

    I've used Guardian for the last three years at my other home. They were friendly, helpful, did a good job and their price was fair so I stuck with them when I sold my home and moved the service. The installer who came was very friendly and made sure that everything was hooked up. He asked me if I knew how to use it, which I did. He would have been more thorough on the going through, but since I already know how to use it, I said,"No, thanks." There were also a few little minor issues which I addressed and they helped. They got the names wrong and we put the wrong code, but they called a week later to simply do a check and make sure everything was running properly. I missed the call a couple of times and they were persistent enough, and we got the situation fixed immediately when I finally took the call.

    In terms of the features, I'm a basic person. I don't remember my codes half of the time and the smartphone features are helpful since I don't have to remember those codes. Also, my daughter goes between her dad and me, and said that she also has the smart feature on her phone which she could enable. Lastly, I have kids and they are on one side of the house. We don’t always hear if all the doors have been closed, but with my Guardian Protection security system, I feel better.

    Guardian Protection Services' installer was excellent, very professional and knew what he was doing. We already had a fire extinguisher but having one downstairs was a good idea. Guardian also put two of the CO2s in there. We had one that was mechanical but now they hooked the CO2s in the system. We were doing some work in the kitchen and had some workers coming in who set the alarm off a couple of times. We knew they were there so it wasn’t a problem, but it was nice to know that I get a quick response from Guardian. They'd call and ask if everything was all right. We had ADT before and so far, we've been happier with Guardian. Even if we make a mistake, they stay on top of it a little quicker. Plus, we like their app, which works very well. The motions at night can be a little tricky, but we just have to remember to set that off when we get up in the morning. We’d recommend Guardian Protection.

    We purchased a home and Guardian equipment was already in it. Guardian's technicians came in and updated our main panel hub. They checked out all the system to make sure it still worked as we had a one year delay between the time that we bought the home and we got the alarm activated again. They were very courteous and clean. They guy wore things on their shoes so it wouldn’t mess up the carpet and they cleaned the dust that was made from the installation. They were very professional.     The other company changed companies and it was the other odds that I wasn’t really happy with. I needed some prepares made and they were talking all kind of crazy stuff and prices. My neighbor across the street has Guardian and eventually, I got Guardian too. The installer came and explained everything to my wife. He cleaned up and took the old system out. I had a landline phone that I got rid of and that was $50 less a month out of my billing. The installer did a nice job and my wife was happy.

    It's only been about a month since we have Guardian but I feel like I have them at home for five years. We added some features to our system so it came from $99 up to $1,200. I have good reception in the property so I use the smartphone feature a lot in the area. Also one time, they called to let us know there was a power outage.

    I had Brinks before then I switched to Guardian since I felt like that they care more about me. Their reps have been fantastic and they did everything they could do to help me resolve my issues right away. Their installers were all very respectful, professional, and able to get the job done. I’m also very happy with the features of my system. I probably got more than I really need, but you can never have too much. I use the smartphone feature as well. I got an app and I’m getting messages that would tell me to arm and disarm the system. Or if I have an alarm, I get notified immediately.

    So far, the system has been working just fine. The only problem I had was with a little key fob that I got with me from my old place. Guardian's reps tried to make it work and they didn’t have to put that on but I found it and asked them if they could do that. I had two of them and one of them works just fine, but the other one is defective. So, I got rid of it but I still have a spare that I could use now.

    I had builder pricing and a great experience with the Guardian sales representative. I got them to install a home audio system too, and that was all one big package. My house was a new construction and I wasn't there when the installer did the work, so I called Guardian yesterday because nobody ever gave me a run-through of everything that they did. Now, I'm having another tech come out for the run through. I've also noticed some areas that were unfinished still. Yet I'd like to see a little bit more from a usability standpoint like automatic arming and disarming and some other more advanced features. All in all, my experience was good and the customer service has been really helpful even if the issue is ongoing so I have no complaints.

    Guardian made me a better deal with the house that I bought and the way the reps explained the stuff was very good. But only the communication has been the best part about my experience with them. The installation was terrible and it's still a nightmare. The alarm had gone off once but other than that, it’s never worked. It’s been over a month already and my system is not working. It’s ridiculous. Technicians would come and look at something then they would leave. They would have to order a part. Then they would come back, look at something and realize they have the wrong part. They would need to order a different part. They would come again and the thing would work for two days then it would stop working again. We’ve had their technicians out there about six times in the last month and they still can’t get everything operating.

    The technicians said that the wire, which was ran in the backyard when the camera was installed, was broken. They said that they would have to cut all the walls again to redo the wiring but I had just finished painting the house. The doorbell is still not working properly for me either. I called yesterday and they’re supposed to schedule another technician to come fix the back camera and the doorbell. They wanted to schedule something three weeks from now and I told them I was not gonna deal with that. They wrote down my information to see if they can expedite the whole process. But nobody has called me back yet.

    I also told them I would not pay for last month's service. It’s not fair for me to have to pay for the month where my services have not been working. None of my cameras were working and we've been having issues with the consoles as well. But it was fine. They did comp me with that. I paid so much money for these parts that it shouldn’t be having these problems.

    When we first moved out to Virginia, we had Guardian in a K. Hovnanian home that we purchased. It was a package deal with the house. Then we weren't quite out of that five-year contract with them, so we transferred that to our new house. Now I just built a shop and I wanna protect all the stuff I have out there. So, we got Guardian's service for the third time. So far, everything's been great. Calling in to change passwords or if I forget a password has been fairly easy to do. And when we had a few issues with some of the components, they were more than gracious to come out and figure out why certain things weren't working. They also relocated keypads in order to get things to where they work like they're supposed to.

    I was curious to know more about the new system that they have out. It works more off of a tablet kinda screen which was what I thought I was getting installed the last time they came out. They should also include cameras with it or at least one to monitor the front door. But outside of that, the alarm wakes me up and I like the fact that it has a weather warning when tornados and so forth come across. It also lets you know that a power outage or something like that is going on. I use the smartphone feature as well to arm and disarm the shop and it's user-friendly. With Guardian, there's a nice peace of mind when you're out of town that you can just look to make sure that things are disarmed.

    Guardian is a good system. I have family who had used them so I went with it too. The touchscreen monitor is good. Plus, I am able to use the smartphone features. The gentleman who came out was very helpful and he explained everything. But the install was a little shaky because the installer was supposed to come out the first day. At the end of my three-hour window to have the installation done, I made three phone calls to find out that the gentleman was not gonna be able to come as he was stuck in another install. He would be able to come an hour later, but I had plans. I had to reschedule and take another day off from work to have the security system installed. I requested to be a first install which I was and everything went smoothly that day.

    The house that we bought was using Guardian Protection Services at the time to hook up the systems. Overall, I’m happy with them. Every time I call and have a problem they take care of me. But dealing with their customer service rep was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. They set up an appointment so they could come out. I called and asked about the doorbell and they were explaining to me that it was backordered so I bought one. Then I have another motion sensor. When I come down my steps to check if somebody’s going up or coming down, sometimes it doesn’t catch it. I asked if I could add another motion sensor and they said that I could.

    I also told them that when I’m upstairs in my master’s bedroom, I couldn’t hear the keypad. I asked if there was any way we could add a new keypad to the master’s bedroom and they said they could. I asked what the cost was and they said a hundred bucks. I verified that when people come in to install these stuff, I would only pay 100 bucks and they guys said yes.

    Then their guy came out to my house. First of all, he couldn’t really speak English on me. Then he hooked up the motion sensor and then once he’s finished that, he said, “Oh, by the way I don’t have the keypad or the doorbell. I have to go and pick up the keypad.” And I’m like, “Why didn’t you say something earlier?” The guy left my house and they called me back about four o’clock in the afternoon and said that the guy wants to comeback at seven o’clock. I told them, “I have to get up and go to work the next day and you’re gonna finish a wire down my wall to my basement and you come in at seven o’clock at night. Come on, let’s be for real. That ain’t gonna work.”

    So they cancelled and rescheduled that appointment because the guy who was supposed to come back the same day never came. Another guy came out and he installed everything, put everything up in the house and asked me to sign a couple documents that I barely see the bottom of that column. The next thing I knew, I got a bill of 475 bucks. I’ve contacted them about it and said that if I knew it was gonna be that much, I would’ve just went with the Link system and did it myself. Also, the equipment that they had were old and could be updated. Their smartphone features couldn’t give a notification when somebody goes in and out. Guardian told me they would have to pull the phone record because everything was recorded. So she caught it and said that they heard what the guy said about the 100 bucks and that they were gonna credit the difference of 400 bucks which they did at the end of the day.

    We moved into the area and Guardian was the one who contacted us first. Their people came to our door, talked to us, and we went ahead and signed up for it with them. We have them for about six weeks now and for the first billing, they charged us twice for the first month. They don’t see it that way but I do. When they charge me when they're out here for the first month then the first month comes in and we've only had the service for about a week, that’s charging us twice and I'm not pleased with that. Other than that, I'm okay with everything else and I feel secure since having Guardian.

    I had a different security system before, but the alarm didn’t go off when somebody broke into my place twice, so I decided to go with Guardian Protection Services. I got Guardian five years ago and the installers were good and friendly. Their reps are very good and on top of things. Just last week, we had thunderstorm over in this area and the power went off. They called me and the rep let me know that my power went off. Guardian is doing a good job and they are better than the other guys. I like the feature that I could shut off the system before I even enter the building, but I would also like to have a feature where I could see what's happening in my store when I’m not there or not around. All my friends that I hang out with have Guardian and I would recommend people to have Guardian.

    We were building with Ryan Homes six years ago and they offered Guardian to us.     Guardian's service has been good. The person who installed it was very cooperative and very polite. The only complaint I have is they raised the price again. Other than that, we're very satisfied overall with the system. The reason we put in the security system was that when we came back from the Super Bowl at a friend's house, we discovered that we had be burglarized. They took most of my wife's jewelry and other small items which they could carry. Since having Guardian, we feel much more secure and we use it any time we go out. We appreciate the security system and we feel much more comfortable with it. I have recommended them to others in our complex and two friends went with Guardian because of our recommendation.

    We had to call about one of the motion detectors within the past couple of months. Guardian came out and checked the motion detector monitor, and it was a short visit. That aside, the features have been working well when we’ve had to use the system. But I would tell others to shop around. Guardian is probably not as price competitive as some of the newer companies on the market. I’m not sure the equipment is the most up-to-date either and we’re actually thinking about replacing it with the more affordable and more technologically advanced system.

    A guy from Guardian came to the house, saw the place and gave me few options, and then I went with them. I used to have ADT but I didn't like the service. In comparison, Guardian is big in the area and they give reasonable rates. I would like more touchscreen pads and higher technology than the older devices. But overall, the system has been pretty good. It also seemed like a better system for my security and I’ve been very satisfied.

    Guardian Protection Services came with the house when we bought it. They upgraded it to a new system and they put the new hardwired CO2 and fire and smoke detectors in. We had a fire a couple years ago and Guardian notified the fire department. It worked and they called as soon as the smoke detector was going off. The only thing I wasn’t happy with s that the key fob didn’t work to shut off the alarm and we were paying for that. I mentioned something and they said I might have to order a new one. And it was something that was too much of a hassle to deal with. So, we just went along with it. We're very happy with Guardian and it’s definitely worth it. So many companies these days don’t necessarily have the best customer service. They don’t reach people or they’re rude on the phone. But with Guardian, we haven't had any issues. I would recommend them.

    We saw people with Brinks but when Guardian presented their package, they seemed to offer a lot of value for the money. They had a very good protection system and motion in the basement at a reasonable price. The installation was pretty good and the installer came out and he did his job. He was able to provide some professional advice that enabled me to situate my alarm system in a place that allowed me to have privacy in my bedroom but still come out to the hallway in a good place. Plus, when we come in through our garage, we don’t really have to run although we better move quickly. So, that’s really good. We get to it 99% of the time unless we’re fooling around with something else.

    The quality of the equipment is on the money and it always works. The reps are very thorough with their service and they call back if there’s an alarm. And they always ask for the password to make sure. They also ask if we’re okay and if there’s anything else that they can do. And what I really like about them is if you call them, they are able to troubleshoot anything over the phone. A couple of times my smoke alarm seemed to be beeping but I didn’t understand what it was, and they were able to walk me through it to resolve my issue. I also had one attempt of someone trying to break in and the alarm obviously scared them off. It worked so I’m really happy about that. Guardian's service is very good.

    Our Guardian was part of the home builder’s package. I had a handful interactions with their customer service reps initially trying to get the system set up and how we wanted it set-up. We checked on it and made sure things were where we asked them to be. I had problems with the remote access of the system and, for the most part, they have been addressed. Unfortunately, I’ve had some cell phone issues and it has booted me out. I’ve had to change the password, but I’ve not come through the process of doing that. Overall, the system has been functional and it does what it's supposed to.

    At first, I was happy with Guardian Protection Services. A couple of my bosses use them so I used them too. But the reason I signed up was that they took care of an older gentleman. He lived in a bad neighborhood and after he passed away, his house was broken into and the alarm didn't go off. I’m not really happy with Guardian but I'm into this contract where I gotta keep it or pay to get out of it. If it wasn’t for me being locked in, I would have canceled several years ago.

    I have the system in a rental house right now. Guardian Protection would call me when they can’t get a hold of my tenants and that was the only good thing about it and I don't have any complaints yet. The installer did a good job but something went wrong when it didn’t go off. When you hire them and put that into a house, you would think that your house is safe. And then, the alarm doesn’t even go off and when you need it the most, it was not there. I don’t have the means to buy a house now but if I ever get one, I would not use Guardian.

    I purchased my security system from Guardian in April 2016 and all was working well until February 2018, when the garage door sensor failed, causing the garage door to randomly open and close, sending the police out to our house for false alarms, which incurred charges to us. Guardian first blamed my garage door opener and the automatic garage door openers, so I had them inspected.

    When all those turned out to be in perfect working order, I had Guardian replace their garage door sensor. Next, the keypad failed in March, which Guardian never did repair, even though they have been out several times, attempting to repair the problem. I have now been without a security system for four months, but Guardian still insists I owe for the false alarms, because the police were sent out to our house, due to their faulty equipment. In the past two weeks, Brinks Home Security has taken over my account, and of course, Guardian has washed their hands of my account. They still send me bills for the outstanding balance.

    We have had Guardian for over 4 years, 2 separate houses. When we moved the first time we were relocating to a new but transition home further south for my wife's job. We relocated the service and were told our contract would continue and not extend. Come to find out 2 years after that when we are ready to buy our permanent home we were lied to and they extended our contract without offering us month to month options. They now want us to pay over $1100 to cancel so we can move, or are forced to sign a 5 year contract at our new home. Even better is that I found our very first original contract we actually signed and their ETF fee is $750, so they are lying to extort more money. I would just avoid this company at all costs because $1100 to them is way too important for the hassle and no comfort of know the company has your back.

    When we bought the house, that was part of Guardian. We didn't have to get it but we wanted the security. Also, they were gonna run the cables which they did for free so we had to sign in a two-year contract and we stayed with them. When they installed everything, the house was being built. Then, the reps showed us how to use it once we bought the house a couple of years ago. I like the features of the system and I would like more but it's expensive.

    The service is very good. They're very good at what they do and they would call me if I call for a test or if the alarm accidentally goes off. One time, we weren't home but I have a camera and I could see someone at the door in the nighttime. I called the police but I told them, if they tried to get in the alarm will go off. Another time, I forgot my code and Guardian called the police. I was glad they did because I wasn't at the house and I couldn't remember it. I was kinda impressed and I appreciated that. But I feel like somebody could come through a window. I'm a little paranoid because our house was broken into years ago and I worry a little about that. We have the motion sensor but I don't put them on because we have a dog.

    The technician of Guardian set it up pretty quickly and in a couple of hours, he was in and out. Everything's been good so far. However, there was an issue with a sensor in the living room who would arm away, and the sensor would go off while we're not home. No movement in the house at all. It ended up that they just switched up the sensors or bad sensors. But other than that, no issues. They'd call us every once in a while 'cause we burned something on the stove.

    Quality-wise, they do what they're supposed to do, on a motion detector lines and door sensor-wise. The app is also pretty user-friendly as far as just arm away and arm stay. But when you select certain devices, whenever you wanna turn off the sensor or arm a sensor, individually you couldn't do that, you've got to go down to the panel. They also have another option - it's like a GE unit. I have the Honeywell, just set the time that wasn't available. But it's gonna cost me to upgrade to that. However, the system of Guardian seems to work well and it's money well spent.

    Guardian Protection Services was doing a promotion and it fulfilled my needs. My interactions with the reps at Guardian were nothing less than stellar. Everybody I spoke with at Guardian has helped me out. The lady that hooked me over the cameras and stuff went above and beyond to get me situated. And the techs have been professional. The first guys that did the first install did a great job and the last guy that did the cameras was exceptional. I have had no problems since I had it and it’s going on for five years now.

    I got the camera and the mobile app that I log into and see my alerts. It’s up there with everybody else as far as technology goes. With Alarm.com and with a login, everything was fine. I’m very satisfied with Guardian. I can get the alarm system for $10 or $20 a month with the company I work for, but it will be a lot of headaches to switch and have all the connections that I have in my house, 8 or 10 sensors, so I chose to stay with Guardian.

    Anytime I’ve called Guardian Protection Services the reps have been responsive. They have the wherewithal to get an answer to a question if it’s not straightforward, so all of the information is available to them to help the customer. So on an overall basis, in terms of whether it’s asking a technical question or scheduling a vacation or a false alarm, it has always been good. For our needs of protecting us in our home, we are satisfied with the features that are offered in our system.

    However, there has been at least one instance where I was interested in looking at something new or an additional feature and their costs are extremely high. For example, I was looking at the application of a TV monitoring or CCTV, so I called Guardian and asked them. They gave me a price but the price was exorbitant. It was out of sight compared to if I would go to Best Buy or a Sam’s Club and do it myself. If they wanna be more competitive in applying new technology, they gotta be more price-competitive. But overall I would recommend Guardian. We feel more comfortable to know that we’re protected when we are in our home and when we’re away. We were on family vacation the past two weeks and the system was in an alarm state and we felt better to know that our home was protected.

When I decided to have one of those little cameras installed inside my house, the guy that came to do it admitted it was the first one he ever did, and he ended up not doing it right. It didn't work properly and I suffered with it for a year. I called Guardian for service again and this time a guy came out and he knew right away what was wrong with it.     We purchase a new home about a year ago, about a month after moving in we signed a 5 year contract with Guardian after a long sales speech from a Skyline rep (I think that is the name of the sister/subcontracting company). One of the services we have is a doorbell camera, which didn't work properly at the beginning due to a weak internet connection. I called customer service and explained my situation. They recommended to buy an amplifier for my signal and install it myself. I got very upset since that was something they should have realized when the equipment was installed. They finally accepted to installed the amplifier (after a long heated discussion over the phone) at no cost. Well, about a month ago (about 7 months of use) we started having issues with the camera again, the motion sensor feature does not work properly, it only activates when the doorbell button is pushed.

    I have called customer service three times to troubleshoot the issue. The first time they said the camera needed an update, they pushed the update and it did not work. I called again and the update was again pushed and it seemed to work for a few days until I realized the motion sensor feature was still not working. I called customer service a third time and was told that to fix the issue or replace the camera I had to pay a service fee of ~$120 (can't remember exactly how much) per hour plus the cost for the parts because I own the equipment and the warranty last only 60 days or something like that. So now NOT EVEN A YEAR INTO MY 5 YEAR CONTRACT I am stuck with a camera that does not work properly or spend hundreds of dollars to replace it. I could not believe my ears when the customer service rep was saying that... based on my experience, the hardware is junk.

    I am extremely disappointed with this company and will probably never renew a contract, require their services again once my contract expires or recommend it to anyone. I live in a very safe neighborhood and the main reason why I signed with Guardian was to have the camera to be able to communicate with anyone approaching my door or see if a package was delivered, etc. Well, now I will be paying 4 years of a service I don't really need because what I was interested in having does not work. It is also funny how Guardian is selectively responding to these low rating reviews...

But with Guardian, I could call them for any information and they called me right away. They were attentive. When I called them and said I wanted to switch, there wasn’t anything that they had to sell me. I picked them. The installation was done by ADT and the rest I did with Guardian on the phone. And when I had to have a service done, Guardian did it immediately. I’ve had my system for over 15 years so it’s exactly what I wanted, plain and simple. And I can add on to it when I want to. The quality was fine as soon as it started working. My son is an electrician, so he checked that out for me.

    I was trying to use the smartphone feature but I lost my ID number and they couldn't give that to me. But I like that feature and the key fob, too. The Guardian system is easy to use. I can pick up the phone whenever I want to call and they check to make sure that the numbers are working. My granddaughter lives with me and I have her tuned to the numbers. Guardian always has the number I called and I could change numbers when I want to. This is better than when I was with the other company and it wasn’t so easy to get in touch with me and do those personal change things. With Guardian, it's like a one-on-one or a direct contact. With the other company, I couldn’t get in touch with them and talk to them one-on-one for my problem. It was always, "Go through this, go through that." It wasn’t personal enough.

    I’m very pleased with the Guardian. One time, I have been away from home and they were able to contact me on my cell phone. My granddaughter and my son were here and they burnt bacon. The fire department had come already and that was great because Guardian doesn't wait to call you if the smoke alarm doesn’t go off and if you don’t call them. I’ve just recommended someone to them. She has ADT and all she does is pay the bill. I gave her Guardian's number and she was contacting them to switch over. I told her she doesn't have to have anybody come in and reconnect anything.

    The Guardian system was built-in to my wall when I moved in. I had a positive experience with the person who activated the system. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The features and the quality of the system are good as well. I frequently use the smartphone features and I like them. I had a little bit of a glitch going on, but the system has been great. I also like the notifications sent via text. It is good knowing that things are secured. Nobody has tried to break in and I did have one weird thing with my basement door, but nothing seemed to be out of place. The police were even called on it.

    If it wasn't a built-in when I moved, I probably won’t go by Guardian because they’re most costly. But that’s something that they have to look on their P&L. They could easily do a research in terms of which one’s being marketed and advertised on the Glenn Beck Program. I get charged about $35 a month with Guardian and then there’s another company that’s not wired where you can install it yourself and there’s no installation cost on the part of the company. But, their service is only $15 a month. But from my research, they have good reviews as well, not just a lower price. So Guardian just have to keep an eye on the competition, decide how they want to market or if they wanna market because I haven’t seen anything out there marketing wise and protect their viability. Nevertheless, I would tell others that Guardian has been good for me but would also refer them to another company if they're looking for a little price point.

    The features in our Guardian system are fine. We've got fire detection and police notification. Also, the reps have been great and professional. I called them when the code went off and the problem seemed to continue even though we corrected it. But Guardian was good and they finally did something. At 30-some dollars a month, Guardian is cheaper compared to other home security systems. But the price keeps creeping up a bit so it's something we've got to consider. Guardian might wanna consider offering some premium offers so that they could compete with SimpliSafe.

    Since the system has been running by itself, the only time Guardian Protection Services calls is if the alarm goes off. They call me to find out why it went off. Otherwise, I don’t hear from them. They don’t call me to find out if the thing is working. Whereas my old company used to call me every month to check the system and see if it’s operating correctly. Plus, I sent Guardian a message that I need them to change the pad because it's outdated and I still haven’t heard anything from them. I don’t know why they didn’t change the pad when they came in here. I would not recommend Guardian Protection Services to anybody.

    We looked at all the Consumer Reports and looked at Guardian Protection Services and Vivint. They both scored well. We did Vivint first and had an install set-up and the guy never followed up. He said he was sick and we had lots of issues. I'm glad that we all all the issues right of the gate and we said Vivint is not the company we wanna go with. We canceled that right away and went with Guardian and we've been very pleased with it ever since. Our sales rep was very attentive and if we had questions, he was very responsive to our questions.

    We had an issue with our modem, that our spectrum came in, and we did some things and messed it up. They tried to help us over the phone but they couldn't and they scheduled us up pretty far out, but they ended up getting it done the next day. They had to reset our modem. And the cameras were linked to a different modem. They got things straightened out quickly. We had two different installers and they both did a good job. They were very professional and they were experts. The installation was over a two-day process and they collaborated. The first guy that got here linked into the modem and the other one linked into our computers. They talked about it and figured out why we had issues. Also, we added a bunch of different cameras to our system and we're pleased with it.

    We're in a new community and someone came and gave us information about Guardian Protection Services. The rep explained everything, showed us different packages and we were satisfied with what he had to offer.     The installation went well. The installer was very helpful and explained everything. The features are easy to use and the smart phone feature is great. If we're not home and someone rings the bell, we can see who it is. And if we're on the way home, we can open the door and do the alarm. So far, it's working very good.     I was satisfied when I purchased my Guardian system. And my sister was here when the system was installed and she said that the guy was nice. I set the alarm off a couple of days after. I didn’t really look over the paperwork that well. The police responders came quickly and I was very satisfied with that. I have the basic chime alarm and two motion sensors. I get to use the arm and disarm features of the system using the app. They’re pretty easy to use. But I have yet to purchase the motor for my garage. It's part of my package but this is my first time dealing with the motor for the garage. I’m kind of just paying for that.

    Guardian Protection Services had a partnership with the construction company of the house. The security system was included in the total amount and then I put it in the mortgage, so it was convenient. I had two meetings at the construction company’s office at a model house, and we went through the options that would be available. The person explained to me how it worked, and then we decided on the options that we would like to have. It was not only protection service that we got from them. We also bought the central vacuum system and speakers to have sound in the house. Guardian offered that.

    They installed the system while the house was being built. When I decided to activate the system, I called Guardian and then set up a visit. A technician came to activate the system, did all the programming for the security system to make sure everything was working well, went through the sound system, and set everything up. He walked me through on how to use both the security and sound systems.

    The features in the system were okay and it was what I needed so far. l knew I have it, but the problem is I haven't been activating it as I come from a different country where security is a whole lot worse than here. I feel a lot secure living here so that was already a big step. Second, I have the security system, so this makes me feel a lot better. But I feared out something as people told me some of their concerns, others would get into their garage and then pick up some things. The garage is our vulnerable point as there are no sensor or security in there. So if I go away and I leave the garage open, there is no warning. Whereas if I leave my front door open, the system warns me, and that’s pretty cool and nice as it sends me a message if I leave the front door open. I saw in my neighbor he had a camera, so he could see what was going on. If anybody would get into his garage, he'd be able to track it.

    I thought maybe I would have some more features of the possibility of having cameras inside, and the other things that I saw that would be. We never thought about it the time we bought the system. By the time the person or the salesperson was showing us, I was not aware of it as we still thought this was pretty much a safe area. Also, the possibility of having the information on the app that I could see the video. Overall, it works the way it should. We just need to use the system more often, but I use the app. I checked that it is possible to activate and deactivate the system using the app, but we haven't done it much and I haven't been through testing like a routine as they told me there would be a monthly or bimonthly routine test.

    My Guardian system is just about the same as my previous one. The only thing I like with the one that I had is that if I open up a door, it would tell me that the front door was open. However, Guardian's system doesn't. But it's part of a package deal with the new house and they had some features that I didn’t have on my other system. Their customer service was great.     When we purchased a new home, Guardian Protection Services was offered to us by the builders and we've been using the system for a month now. I have my camera, doorbell camera, and rear cameras, but they're not working for four days now. They're not on the same network that I had to change my router. I called their customer service twice and there was nobody there willing to rectify the problem when I told them that I couldn't take off days. They want to give me an appointment from 8:00 to 12:00, but I took off enough days from this construction and pre-construction meetings, and I don't have any more days to take off. I told them it has to be on a weekend or later at night when we get home. But they don't have any technicians that work on a weekend. They told us that they'll get back to us but that was four days ago and I'm still waiting for somebody to call me back. I'm also waiting for something to happen so I know who to sue and blame.

    I just bought a house and it had a previous security system that was not currently in use. I have service with Guardian on my commercial property, so I got them for my house as well. The Guardian salesman seemed like he cared and was being reasonable. There was a guy who came the first time and tried to install the security system. He got it started and did okay. But another guy came and he was better and was more experienced. I wanted a natural gas detector, and I was disappointed that Guardian doesn't have that ability to hook that into the alarm system. I'm also interested in a video surveillance but it wasn’t really what Guardian does. So, I was disappointed about that as well. But other than that, the quality of their equipment looks okay and I'm glad that I have it if I needed to turn it on.

    I was told that we were better off going with Guardian because I could bundle it into the mortgage and they could get a better deal. The salesperson at Guardian was good. Although I'm a really busy person, he managed to reschedule and fit most as he could. The installation was easy, but the guy who came out to teach us how to use the Guardian was a little off with his instruction. He told us the code and showed the Guardian’s homepage, the website where I can change and add and it was all good. But he told us that when we would go out, we gotta put a code in every time we wanna arm and disarm, instead of just pressing the stay or away button. So, what I've been doing in a few days was press the away and then I press the code. So, it pretty much enabled the security system.

    The features offered were good but I was disappointed that I was not introduced to the Geo system by the salesperson. Instead, the person who told me how to use the system was the one who told me about the Geo system. The only thing I can use on my smartphone is the disengaging and engaging the alarm system. But I wanted the cameras installed and the garage door to be opened and locked by phone. If it was mentioned to me, I would have gotten a great deal. Other than that, Guardian's alarm system is very simple. Majority of the homeowners around my town have Guardian except for a few, who have ADT. So, let's see how the Guardian goes for a couple of months or years.

    The house was installed with something and I asked our builder, "Who do I call to activate this thing?" They said, "One of these companies, Guardian or ADT." I called ADT a month before we closed on the house. I was just trying to get my ducks in a row. I told them what I needed and the guy was really short with me like he couldn't believe that I didn’t need service right now. He hung up abruptly. So, I called the Guardian's main number. They referred me to the local Guardian and I couldn't have been happier. The rep was pleasant and informative. And he worked with me on timing and budget. Everything was topnotch. After talking to him, there is no doubt. So far, our Guardian alert system is doing its thing and the quality of the equipment is fantastic. We got the IQ panel and it works exactly like it's supposed to. Even when the network's down, it does exactly what they said it would, so I'm happy. Guardian make me feel totally safe. We love it.

    Last year when I started building the house, the Guardian people were already here. We did our research and they were as good as any of the other companies. The rep was very nice, very informative and very helpful, so we were good. It is a new home and the Guardian system has only been set up for about three weeks. But they have armed it and it is rocking and rolling right now. We have the Legrand system in here and it has been working really great. We have six speakers on the deck in the great room area. Then in the master bath and hallway area, we have speakers in there too. We did not put the system downstairs but whenever the Guardian tech was here to set it up to turn it on, he said it would be easy to get in our ceiling down here.

    We've had our Guardian system for a couple of weeks now and so far it has been great. It was recommended by the builder. The installer came in, did quick work, and walked us through the system. He told us how it worked, and how to use it, and what we would expect. I arm and disarm the system by phone every night. I’ve also had a couple of people at the door that we’ve seen through the smartphone app.

    Guardian Protection Services came when we were building our house. They were combined with the builder and we needed some options in the building. We wanted the infrastructure so we had gotten it. We weren't thinking much of home security but that came with the deal. They did the installation before we moved in. And their customer service is good. We have motion detectors and a better sense of security, but we're still using and getting used to it.

    The installation took a while, almost one and a half hours setting up, installation and the demo, but it was okay. They explained things thoroughly and the guy asked me to ask more questions. But I was busy and I was not able to spend much on it on that day. There are a lot of things that I need to know so I need to get a hands-on. They installed a board where I can set up the arming and disarming. They put the sensor on one of my walls and the speakers in my living room. They're working and most of the features are good. I installed the app and tried to use it one time. It dinged on me and the alarm kicked off. They called me to ask if I was okay and I said that I was testing. I'm still not clear on the system though and I need to go through the instructions again. But the system is good.

    But Guardian is expensive. I'm paying Guardian $55 but ADT is offering only $25. ADT is offering almost half of the price but they said ADT is a phone-based service and is not good. Before I started my activation, Guardian also charged me for three months but they said they were gonna credit it back for the next three months. Then when the bills were a little higher than usual, I asked them and they said they can't lower the billing. They asked me to increase the last month so that they can lower the bill by $4 from there. I can't really do anything though. I don't have the option to come out of agreement because I already agreed for a certain number of months. I can't really pay $1,500 upfront to come out of the agreement so I gotta stick with it. When I signed, the guy at Guardian mentioned I can come out anytime but there might be a clause.

    The previous homeowner had a contract with Guardian Protection Services and I assumed the service and picked it up. It was just a matter of convenience. However, I was surprised with the $83 bill that became due this month given that when it was transferred, we had already agreed on a due date. They led me to believe that that was the due date I was locked in on. I was also surprised with it being so high and the reps explained that it had to be prorated because we didn’t get the due date. I really didn’t fully understand the explanation they gave. It vaguely made sense, but everything’s supposed to wash out and be okay next month.

    The installation was good and the technician was professional too. I’m satisfied with the features in our system and the quality of our security equipment is good so far. And when I can move some things around financially, as long as there aren’t any other hiccups that would deter me, I plan on adding the automation service with it.

    We had Guardian when we lived in Ohio and we were forced to transfer services because of how much it's gonna cost us to buy out the contract. Now, we have Guardian again and we've had it for three years. They weren't helpful when we went to cancel my account from Ohio. They weren't understanding of my situation that we were getting moved after being in our home for a year. They sent me an email saying, "Well, here's the contract that you signed," and there was a big circle around the five-year part. I understand I signed the contract, but can you help me? Can we work our way around this? That was a really sour taste in my mouth. I didn't talk to them until we moved here to Texas.

    I was able to talk to this sales rep who helped me and got things going. I told him how I've been dissatisfied with other people and we had wanted to change services when we got here to Texas because there are other services that are more common in our area. And they wouldn't let us. I explained to them that we had signed a contract in Ohio knowing that my husband is gonna be relocated. It was out of our control and they said they didn't care. They wanted $2,000 from us to buy out the contract, which was outrageous. But the sales rep was able to reduce my monthly payment and he threw in a free doorbell. He kind of made up for that.

    But the technician who came to our house creeps me out. I had my husband texting me all the time because he was just crazy and I was scared to have him in my house. His pants hung down to the ground, like they're just too long for him. And he's very unkempt, really messy beard with food stains in it, and hair that looks like it hasn't been washed in a few days. He smells horribly, like he hadn't showered. And he wasn't very knowledgeable. We have been consistently having problems with our doorbell camera picking up motions and nobody can help me out on the phone. He was here and he couldn't even help me. I was like, "Well, what good is the service if the technician who's installing it has no idea how to calibrate your camera to make it work?"

    Also, the quality that they offered in the doorbell is not impressive to me. I know I can go to Home Depot and get a doorbell that would work really, really well. But I really appreciate the keypad. We paid over $50 a month when we were in Ohio for the keypad. And this upgraded keypad that we have that has the touch-tone and all these awesome features is great. And the app actually works with our keypad log in. In the end, I got close to what I want, but it shouldn't have taken me so much headache to get there.

    Guardian Protection Services was a little better in protection compared to other security systems. Their sales and customer service teams were polite and cooperative. They told us how to use the system and really educated us on everything that they did. It was very easy to get a hold of them if I had any concerns. All I had to do was contact them and ask any questions. The installation went very well plus, it was fast and easy. It took about 45 minutes and it took a little longer because they were setting up the screen but the features were all good.

    I talked to a Guardian sales rep and I was pretty impressed with everything they had. I then decided to try them out. I have friends that have other companies and Guardian had a better package for me. I customized my package where my front door can be unlocked and I changed the panel from the basic to their upgraded one. The quality of the equipment seems pretty good right now. Sometimes, it takes a little longer for the door to unlock using the smartphone feature but it seems to be doing all right to me. I got my dad go with Guardian Protection Services too.

    Guardian already takes care of one piece of our property then I went with them for the second property, which was a rental property. Prior to Guardian, I was with ADT and I like Guardian better. We wanted to do an upgrade and Guardian offers more interactive things on the internet side which were not offered by ADT so we switched. I had a good interaction with their reps and the installation was done by a one-man band who did a wonderful job.     A house is being built for me and the developer asked me whether I wanted to have Guardian for home protection. Also, a gentleman named Steve introduced me to Guardian. When I was getting my security system set up with Guardian Protection Services, I dealt with two representatives and they were both very good. The installation of the system went okay. I've had my Guardian security system for two weeks and the features of the system seem to be doing all right.

    But there was lack of communication between the developer and Guardian as far as wiring the house correctly, specifically with the useless lag for the lock. Guardian initially put on a different door lock that required a different key. Guardian and the developer should have talked with each other so that they had the same key for both the deadbolt and the door lock. I’m still having a problem with that because the door lock was replaced with a key that could not be matched to the one on the door lock, even though it was from the same flag-type key company. Guardian was out to service this issue once, but they decided not to service it again because I probably won’t use the key in that lock. But the issue still needs to be addressed and either the developer or Guardian should get a key to match my door.

    I just bought a new house and my house is fitted with one of those doorbell things that was provided by Guardian. I was told I didn't have to use Guardian, but it was recommended. Everybody at Guardian treated me nicely. I’ve only been recently experiencing an issue with my bill. I changed to get more of the basic package but I got charged for the fancier package, and they still haven’t been able to solve that problem so that has been a not great experience. When I go get somebody, they said that was when the billing office was off, so they would call me back the following day.

    It was two weeks ago, but no one ever called me back. I called them today because of my alarm. They had called me to let me know. And I checked to make sure everything was put away, and sure enough, it was. Since I was already on the phone with them, I asked what was the latest with my bill. And whoever I had talked to said that my bill was correct, but I wouldn’t have spent $800 for an experimental package so he recommended I call the guy who I did business with originally. I called and spoke to him, and he said that he was gonna see what was up. I don’t know what they did but hopefully, that gets solved quickly.

    I bought a house from Ryan Homes and Guardian Protection Services was the security company that they used, so I went with Guardian. Prior to using Guardian, I lived in an apartment and I didn't have another home security system. I spoke with a Guardian rep named Mike and the only thing I was disappointed with was that I have cats and before I decided to go with Guardian, he told me that my cats would be a problem. I was like, we've got a motion detection device and my cat has already set it off twice. So, now it was like we couldn’t even turn the alarm on because my cats would make it go off.

    The installer showed us how to do the installation and it was fine. Everything is good with our system, except that we can’t turn our alarm on when we leave the house because of the motion thing. So, we would like to figure out how we can still have the alarm on and not have the motion sensor on. I’m satisfied with Guardian, but it was like we were lied to at the beginning about the whole pet thing.

    We got robbed and then we got a security system from Guardian. The first installation was good the first two days and then after that, the recording thing wasn’t working. I was looking on my phone and then all of a sudden, it said something about the DVS SVR internet not being connected. I kept doing the steps for three days. I called Guardian and another technician came, and he said the first tech put the recorder in the wrong place. The first tech put it in the bottom of our internet thing, which the second tech said was supposed to be together. The second tech fixed the problem and it's working now. The video is okay, though it's HD and I still can’t see the spaces that well. I’m satisfied overall.

    Guardian Protection Services is affordable, reliable and flexible. The builder had someone during the selection of the option for my new place that was offering Guardian Protection Services, so he explained the whole thing and it's a good deal, especially these days which we need to be protected at home. He was very professional and I was happy with the description of the service, so I decided to get it. I received a call when they were trying to schedule the original setup of the system and that lady was very professional also. She assigned me into an appointment and they went on time. My mother was there during installation, and given that she doesn’t speak any English, the installer was willing to explain me the whole thing by phone and he left the whole documentation. So once I arrived, I followed the instructions and I was able to understand how to operate the system.

    I love the app and it operates perfectly. I like the idea of being away and I don’t have to return to turn on the alarm. I can do it remotely, and that’s having flexibility through the system. My mother feels very safe when I am not there. Being a couple of ladies, she likes the idea of having Guardian kind of taking care of us at night. Everything has been very good from my point of view.

    However, I'm not glad with everything that I have received so far. I have realized if I open the garage and I park my car, and I stay there, I can be there and the system will not send me an alert. It's the only thing that was weird for me at the very beginning, but maybe there is a device that is additional that they will install in the garage and connect to the main system. I don’t know if that is the way in which the system was designed.

    Also, I have been trying to set up the online account, and every time that I put all my name, last name, the billing, and the ZIP, then I receive an error saying that that site cannot be found. I haven't been able to make a call and ask for the help that is needed to set up that account online because that is different from the app. The app is something that I received a login and the initial password, but I don’t know what to expect inside the other one. But for example, when paying, I would like to go and log into the website and check if the payment is due, which I can also do.

    A Guardian rep knocked on my door and convinced me I needed it. It was a good interaction and I've had two systems installed. But there was a system already in my house that the previous homeowner had and that I never used, so the first installation for me was a little confusing. There were random things plugged in places and so Guardian took out a bunch of that out. That was in 2014. On the other hand, this most recent installation was very good. The tech was very knowledgeable and he was able to explain all of the things, and I felt familiar with what was going on and why things were being put where.

    I like the features in my system. I customized here a little because I put in cameras. However, part of the issues that I have is that I want to keep a pretty low monthly payment, so I can't necessarily have everything I would like to have. Guardian has a website that I can go to and set up when I want things like my outdoor camera to record. So, I tried to set it up several times but it's not working. I'm having some hard time and I'm not sure if that's on me or the system. Also, I would really like to not have a contract and one must be in a contract to be part of Guardian. We were going to get out of the contract and go with a system that did not have one but my payout price was so high, which did not make sense. So, it felt a little bit like I was required to stay with Guardian when I moved because financially, it would have been a burden not to. That was a little frustrating for us who were moving to a new place.

    We want a different system and we want more things than we have now, but we also want some more pricing. The whole contract business is a little bit infuriating because I don't think the guy who sold it to me five years ago really explained that to me well. And I felt really taken when I realize that I did not have a way out of this five-year commitment with Guardian. Nevertheless, we moved into a different part of town that we are less familiar with, so it is nice to have the Guardian system. My husband accidentally set it off the other morning, so we know it works. With Guardian, I'm connected to people and there is security.

    We really like our Guardian system. We always use it and arm it whenever we’re away, and we feel secure having it. The sales rep was great and explained everything really well. The installation went well and the installer was nice and came on time. We mess with the thermostat and we like that because it’s gonna help us out with the electricity in Texas heat.

    Guardian Protection Services was servicing my neighborhood so I went with them. Everything was set up and done within an hour. The features of the system fits my needs and I utilize the smartphone features which are intuitive. And I feel more secure. I know I turn the alarm on, I'm pretty good in the house. Last week, there was a breakdown in the internet connection in the neighborhood and Guardian called just to make sure everything was okay, which was perfectly fine. But I don't like that they've been calling me a lot for no reason. I've gotten several calls, like telemarketing calls since so that's kind of annoying. But it has been good with them and my service is fine.

    Guardian had installed the security system when the home was built. Their customer service rep was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and he explained Guardian's different programs and services as well as their cost. And I felt like I wasn’t in the dark and wouldn’t expect any unexpected services and charges. The features are good too. I have this doorbell wherein I can see who's ringing the doorbell when I'm not at home. I had my own camera system already installed, so I didn’t have to ask him or take him up on his offer of installing security cameras outside the home. He said I could keep it if I'm happy with them and if I do want some of theirs even for the inside of the home, they can provide them. So, again, he gave me all kinds of choices.

    Overall, the system's functionality and performance are good. I haven't had any problems when somebody rings the doorbell and I'm not home. Wherever I'm at, my phone rings and let me know there's somebody at the door and then I can tell them, “Oh, I'm feeding my baby right now or I'm in the shower. Can you come back later?” I've worked in a security business for about 34 years and my security is always 100%. I installed my own security camera system, CCTV and that is all recorded. They can even steal the equipment if they want to because it's all on iCloud. The only thing I really didn’t like is the installation fee. Other service providers came out trying to get me to be their customer and they had the lower installation fees or no installation fee. But if I would have gone with them, I would have lost my warranty on the system.

    The two gentlemen who did the installation were very good. I'm stilling moving in but as soon as I settle down and figure out what they told me, I can deal with the security system. When I accidentally moved a pan on my stove to a hot burner and filled the house up with smoke, my alarm went off and Guardian called. They walked me through it and were very nice, especially the gentleman in customer service. The lady, on the other hand, kept on saying that she was gonna call the fire department if I didn't give her my password. But I told her not to call the fire department and that I would remember my password if she just gave me 30 seconds. I feel okay with the package I got from Guardian but this is the first time I'm having a security system and so I’m a little apprehensive about using it. And I have these timers in the wall that are hooked into my phone, the smartphone features, and I would like to be able to adjust myself to using them.
