Guardian Protection does the security systems at my office so I went with them as well. I got the system because my daughter has an ex-boyfriend who is gonna be getting out of prison in the next few months, and we've had issues with him in the past. He stole my wife's laptop before he ran away. So, we just figured it was probably a good precaution. The original salesman that came out that sold us the system was very knowledgeable, walked through the house, told us what we needed and where. Set up was really good too. The guy that came in to do it was really professional and he was in and out quick.
The only issue I've had was with the motion detector in my living room. It just was going off for no reason and we couldn't figure out why. So, they ended up moving it away from the heat vent figuring that maybe something was being blown in front of it. That didn't fix the problem, so they came back again and put a meter on it and found that there was something in there that was draining the battery. And when I got a low battery, it was sounding the alarm. It was a minor issue, but I wish they had put the meter on and checked that the first time that they came out. It went on for a couple of weeks. When it went off once, they came out to check and then moved it, and then it was fine for a week. And then it went off three times in four days. And I said, "This can't go on, you guys gotta come back," and that was when they replaced it, and it has been fine since then.
The other issue I had was with smoke detectors. I got this new generation of smoke detector that has a 10-year battery in it, so you don't replace them until you replace the smoke detectors. So, it went off one Saturday morning for no reason. Nobody was cooking in the house. So, they came out and they checked it, and the guy told me that there was a recall on the date codes that I had installed. So, he replaced all three of the smoke detectors in the house. But about a week later, another one went off, and they found that that was the same issue as the motion sensors. It was draining the battery, so they had to replace that. So far, the people have been very nice and very easy to deal with. I'd recommend Guardian Protection.

I’ve been very happy with Guardian's service. They were very friendly and they know what they’re doing. Whoever they had sent to me has always been very helpful. I haven’t had anybody that I was annoyed with. The system does what it’s supposed to do. The features and ease of use are fine. All I do is turn it on and turn it off. Usually, I just use the controls at the house ‘cause it’s at my back door. When I go out, I do it there. I am glad I have it on my phone because I can do stuff with it away, so I like that feature, but it’s not like I’m using it constantly. So far, it’s perfect. My kids had Guardian as well. I would recommend Guardian.

Guardian had a representative that was in the neighborhood and knocked on the door. I was with Vivint and I switched to Guardian. Guardian is a little bit better. I've had to have them out here about five times because the batteries in the sensors keep going. They've even changed the sensors to different sensors. And right now, my panel says panel duress. But when I click on it, it doesn't tell me anything as far as like how to correct it. I went in to try to adjust the sensitivity because my motion camera in the back of my home is just constantly going off.
Even if the shadow of the tree leaves glow, it sets it off. And it's not very computer-friendly. For me to go in and try to fix whatever is going on without having to call them, it’s my one storage building continuously telling me it's offline. Guardian calls and they say, "Well, it's probably the sensor, the batteries.” And then they wanna set up an appointment to come out. And it's like, "Well, you've already been out here four or five times for the same thing." Whenever a representative comes out and works on it, they've all been very nice. They'll fix the problem at the time, but then it's only a matter of a few weeks and it's doing it again.
There seems to be some issues with their actual equipment. To me, if you put a brand new battery in something, it shouldn't be bad in a couple of weeks. As far as the clarity of the video, the motion and the doorbell, ringer camera, they're clear pictures. My camera in the rear will give me a clip, and then, it may go for seven hours, and then it'll give me another clip. One of the biggest things is when they come, they need to do more than just say, "Well, there's tutorials on the panel, through the panel." They need to walk you through a little bit more of it so that you understand how to use it.

I had to call Guardian to transfer the plan under my name. Guardian was already set up in the house but under a different name. They had to come over and retest the system to make sure everything's working. Their service was good as well as the quality of the equipment. Everything was perfect the way it was. The smartphone feature works well, and it's pretty much everything I would've asked for.

But as time went on, I found out I needed extra coverage in other areas. So, I had to upgrade a number of different times. In fact, it's still a work in progress which has to do a lot with the internet, location, distance, and where I really needed it which is in my garage. That's where we have most of the issues but the camera is still not in and is not as clear as what I need.
The one thing that I wanted and really should get is a camera that I could remotely move and look which is something Guardian doesn't have. Guardian really needs to have a camera that can be mounted and rotated because all they have are fixed cameras. They’re causing me to add features that I would not have if the cameras rotated. But I haven’t called them back ‘cause I still owe them for the last camera. Nonetheless, the monitoring has been good. Guardian kept sending people out and we got a little bit better this time. I thought that everybody that Guardian had working for them was upstate that they had to travel so far. But then the last person they sent was within two miles from where I was.

The house we bought had a Guardian system installed, and so we decided to stay with them. When I made the original call getting it switched over to our name, the previous owners had left us some contact information for a salesperson. And we reached out to that person and got the plan named to us very easily. We’re used to a security system, and this one is meeting our needs. I use the app and it's quite friendly. When we had an issue within the past months where a sensor had failed, we had to have a service person come out and swap out the sensor, and that all went very well which was a good thing. The equipment is certainly not current state of the art, but that is what is in the house and I think we’re okay with it.

I switched to Guardian from another company, who didn't even have my front door system hooked up. When I had Guardian take a look, they let me know that so I went with them. I had someone come out and reinstall a motion detector, and that went well. The guy was wonderful. He even helped me install the app on my phone. Guardian calls me immediately when something’s going on. I feel secure and I'm happy with them.

We have businesses in three different towns here in Pennsylvania and we have Guardian at our offices and at our home for years. I just thought we needed to upgrade so I gave them a call, and they came and upgraded our system. Anders, the man that came when I asked for an upgrade, explained the things that we can do to upgrade our system. He was very nice and took his time with us. Any time we contact their customer service, they always get back to us. When we originally got the system in, they didn’t do cameras. Now, when we were upgraded, they installed cameras outside so we can see what’s going on outside. I like their smartphone applications a lot. It’s nice when anybody comes or goes, we know who it was and when it was. I’m completely satisfied with Guardian's service and I would definitely recommend them.

I used a different home security system and I just ended up switching over to Guardian Protection Services. They must have bought them out or absorbed them. There was a guy I worked with who was really nice. He said that he had been in a fire when he was younger. And he was telling me the importance of adding the smoke alarm to the system. I appreciated getting that smoke alarm hooked up with my system as opposed to having to have those individual systems. And I know it works because it goes off. There were a couple of times that it has gone off and Guardian has called. The last time it went off, they called, and they wouldn’t let me off the phone till I got it stopped.
They have good customer service. Whenever I go out of town, I usually call them and let them know that I’m going out of town. A couple of times I’ve been out of town when my motion detector went off because of my cats in the house, and they were good about dispatching somebody here. Then they dispatched the township’s fire department and EMT out here because they got the danger signal. So far, when the alarm goes off, they call clockwork and they were really good about that.

Guardian was the only option we had with our builder and their system was installed when the house was being built. The features offered in the system are okay, however, we can't always arm the house wirelessly. After we leave, as we're pulling out the driveway, we can't always get on to the app. It's frustrating. Other than that, everything has been going fine.

We're the second owners of the house we have and a Guardian Protection security system was already on it. We just kept the system going. We use whatever is in the house and we don't have an app for anything. There has been a situation a couple of times where we have set the alarm off incorrectly or mistakenly, and the response was good. Overall, we've been satisfied.

We went to a fair and signed up for something, and we won Guardian Protection Services. Their reps have been great. We had one come out here and he fixed the area where all the system is in. He reprogrammed stuff and the system has been good since then. Every time I’ve called their customer service, they’ve taken the word that I’ve set up for password, and they really answered my questions. One time, the fire alarm went off because I was cooking some chicken, and the response team got out here as quickly as they could. It’s a good system and it satisfies my need.

We bought a new house and a Guardian Protection security system was sold to us as well through the builder. The builder installed the system and I installed my cameras myself. We use smartphones for the system to put an alarm when needed, however, I would like to have a more advanced tap screen on the alarm system. Also, one of the most important features that I would really like to have is if it can have integration with the smoke detectors. The house has now been equipped with smoke detectors, but they're not connected to the Guardian system or the smartphone app.
Guardian's system is a little bit behind and there are some features that probably other alarm systems already included. Also, their price is too high. Yet overall, the Guardian system is functioning all right. The customer service has been good as well. We didn't have much problems except for a couple times where there were some error messages, but I called them and they replied very quickly. The service is very professional and I’m satisfied.

Sometimes, I wanna upgrade my Guardian Protection system a little bit with some things. I would like to get some camera over the front door and maybe at the inside. But, overall, I’m not unhappy. We’ve been with Guardian since we moved here. We had some problems a few years ago. We wanted to get some more sensors put on, and they wanted to charge a larger amount of money to do it, but we came to terms because I was gonna switch to another company.
I looked at a couple other companies, too. The monitoring is a little high for Guardian compared to them and they’re willing to put a camera on my front door, and one in the house if I wanted to. And if I’m willing to sign a three-year contract, the monitoring would actually be $2 less a month. I hadn’t agreed with it because I don’t know the reputation. Guardian Protection never offer upgrades and they never contact us, we always have to contact them. It’s like I pay my bill and I pay my monitoring twice a year, and they don’t even contact us. It’s not a big deal. It’s just that it’s not great customer service.

Our neighbor had Guardian Protection Services and they were happy with them, so we signed up. We've been with them for about 10 years. I speak with the reps of Guardian by telephone, but they’re very courteous and very efficient. They're very professional and they answer all my questions. I’m fine with what we have. Everything’s adequate and I’m really very pleased with the system. When we installed it, I recommended Guardian Protection to another neighbor and to my brother-in-law and they both have had the system.

We've been Guardian Protection customers since Nov 2007. We upgraded our system in May 2019 with cell service, new hub. On Memorial Day 2019, Dayton, OH area got hit with 16 tornadoes, our suburb Bellbrook does not have tornado sirens. Your system connected with NOAA and went off with our alarm siren with a red warning on our hub to tell us we were under tornado warning not once but 4 different times within 2.5 hr period! How awesome was that? I didn't know that the upgrade would do that. Thank you very much!

Ring Doorbell catches everything that moves within 30 feet.. This doorbell I can stand infront and it won't start recording till 5 to 7 seconds late.. Most of the time I'm inside the house before it starts recording. Not safe at all.. Need to know who is in my yard before they get in my yard.

One button sets the system and deactivating it is as easy as a 4 digit pin or using a remote. Also, online access through the phone is great. Especially if I forget to set the alarm. Can set special notices with dispatchers for special situations.

The best part about my security system is the "after the sale" customer service I have received from the Raleigh office. I am not used to having a security system and am uncomfortable with it being in my late 50's and not super with technology. I am specifically referring to the extra assistance I have received from Tom **. He has made a special trip to my house twice to further explain the use of the system. He is always calm and polite and never makes me feel silly. Just thought you should know.

We've been with Guardian since we bought the home. Somebody came out and set up the original alarm system, and they set up the password, the guy did his job and then he left. The features seem pretty standard, but it's nice to be able to go in and turn it on and off while you're not there, or to monitor things. I called to discuss adding a thermostat to the system, and they said that I would have to have a technician come out to add them. I'm not 100% sure if I'm gonna get angry with that because there might be a fee for them to come out, and so I haven't done it yet.

Led me to believe I was signing up for a one-year contract. Turns out, it is 3 YEARS(!! ), with a $750 cancellation charge ($49/month monitoring, so close to half the total contract cost just to cancel). The monthly fee is ridiculously high to begin with, then so much to cancel. And, apparently even if you were to sell your house, you're still obligated. Guardian is a huge ripoff - stay away!! Buyer beware, I guess, but the sales process was very misleading.

Guardian has been our home security system for at least 15 years. They are always prompt in responding to emergencies of all types, including stove fires. When my husband burned something in the kitchen the volunteers fire department was at our front door almost before he had the fire out himself. Best of all, when the cable or phone companies make changes to something in our home, Guardian is always prompt in sending their service representatives to correct the problem to return service.

Guardian Protection was coming around talking to some of my neighbors. I approached the guy, and he explained their setup. It happened to be convenient at that time so I decided to work with them. They were polite and very self-explanatory. Also, it was really quick getting set up. There were some difficulties locating a good place to put the Guardian system on account of the signal for the service though. But after we found a good service location, it worked good. Then we had a little problem with one of the sensors about a week later. The contractors came back out, replaced it and I've had no problem since.
The system has worked great for me. It's easy to set and unset. I just hit a couple of buttons and walk out. Otherwise, I would have canceled out. I like some of the built-in safety features that nobody would know about, which I don’t know if any other companies have, like if you’re being forced to open your home to let somebody in. Overall, Guardian Protection is as good as anybody else because they’ve been well with me.

Since I live alone I love to know when I enter my home and the alarm beeps that no one is there and I don't have to look under the beds and in the closets, etc. Also when my relative with dementia stayed with me I didn't know she went outside at night until the alarm went off. Guardian Protection Services was coming through our area and putting in their system for free. We went with them and currently, we have their system on our doors. We have a sensor in our hallway and our den as well. Additionally, if somebody comes in through the windows, it will sense that they're in the house. So far, the equipment they gave works.
One time, I had some problems getting a battery back in the system. Guardian sent somebody to help me do that. Their reps have been really nice every time I speak with them. The system I have now isn't gonna stop anybody from coming into my house. Still, it's gonna warn them that we have security. In the area I live in, I don't think the police will get here in time to do anything. My son who had a different security system was gone from home and his system went of. I went out there to wait for the police and they never did show up. Our place is a small town and we don't have police that will respond to anything quickly. While Guardian's system is priced a little higher than the other systems from some companies I have talked to, I think it's a good system. When other companies call and tell me their system, I tell them I already have one and I'm not switching.

My older parents were talked into this service, even though they already had an existing service installed. Overall the system did what it was claimed to do, set off alarm if door opened. My issue is, one parent died, so I had to move my mom into my home. She is still expected to pay off her service, for the next 3 years. Even though half of her income (dad's social security) is gone. I tried to work with the company, but they are dead set on their cancellation policy. If you plan to be in your home for a long time, get the service. But think twice if any type of circumstance might arise. DO NOT allow your older parents to get this service.

Our security system works great. It gives us a sense is security weather in the house or away. Our alarm app allows us to set our alarm from a distance. Guardian customer service is always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable when we need to troubleshoot whatever problem arises with our system.

Guardian doesn’t listen to any needs and they just wanna sell you another contract. I chose them five years ago because everybody had them in the neighborhood and I have a five-year contract. They’ve been okay so far but they need to have better customer service. There should also be more up-to-date alarm systems and they shouldn’t have long contracts. Other than that, I was living in Arizona and I didn’t take my equipment with me when I got to Charlotte. But they would not give me a new equipment and said that I should’ve taken it with me. But I told them that you don’t take your alarm system off the wall with you. That’s ridiculous. Still, they made me use the old equipment for the last four years and right now, I've got six more months of this contract left. So, I still have to use them for six months then I'll figure out what to do next.

We have been a extremely satisfied Guardian customer for years. We originally became customers when our home was burglarized and my wife would not stay at home when I had to travel on business. A call got immediate action and the system was installed in two days from our call. Five years ago we built a new home. We contacted Guardian and they scheduled their installation during construction so the wiring is inside the walls. We pay extra for wireless communication which we feel is well worth it.
We turn on the alarm every night and when we leave the home. This works fine until one of us forgets to turn the alarm off and the motion detector sets of the alarm. We have yet to receive a call from Guardian in those cases that the person on the phone was pleasant and respectful of us even though I do not think we deserve it for our stupidity. We would recommend Guardian to anyone based on our my years with them.

The next-door neighbors used Guardian, and they liked it. We're also using Guardian now. During the installation, the installer was fast, and he wasn’t here long, but the system was already here. He just had to add carbon monoxide and the garage door openers. I also have Guardian on my smartphone. I love being able to see who’s at the front door, and I love to be able to put the garage door up and down if I need to to let a dog walker in or something like that. So, it’s been great for us.

Guardian was offered by our builder, who had a deal with them. We moved houses and the contract wasn’t up, so we had to carry over our service. They came over and put some new sensors on the windows. We have the basic service and the features are fine.

The company has notified several times when a door has opened within a few seconds. Usually, this has happened to our guests. However, Christmas, my garage was broken into. The alarm scared the intruder. Guardian contacted the police and stayed with me on the phone. Great service.

We had been lucky! We’ve had family health emergencies, police emergencies, where a panic button was used for communications! Police, fire and EMT were dispatched for appropriate emergency, at the hit of a button! Everything was great with Guardian's sales agents and as far as the system goes, it's pretty easy to use. It has various features like the regular alarm and the high. I can alarm it through my phone, and I have a little key that I can use. I like the part where it would set off right away. So, if somebody would come in, the alarm would go off right away. And if I just want the regular alarm when I’m not going and I don’t want it to go off right away, that’s good too. And if I forget to turn off the alarm, and then I open up the door, it would beep me and give me time to shut off the alarm. I had a couple of people come and try to get me to go with a different program, but I refused it because I’m satisfied with what I have and I plan on just keeping it simple. It's the best system. Get it.

We’ve had Guardian home insurance over five years and we recently moved and we ask them to transfer service to our area which at one time they covered. Now they’re telling us that they no longer cover that area and we had to pay over $700 termination fee because they can’t provide service for that area.

An alarm company that originally put the alarm to this home went out of business was bought my Guardian. When I bought the home, I had Guardian come out and reinstall everything. I had ADT for about 18 years and they come up and said that everything’s expired and I have to have a new contract and they’re not gonna give me any discounts. I had to start all over from the beginning. I went with Guardian and their reps came to the house. We talked and had a good conversation. Thereafter, their guy came and put everything in. Now I have door and window alarms as well as motion alarms. So far, the system works fine and Guardian has been more consumer-friendly than ADT ever was. I’m happy with what I decided to contract with. It keeps the house safe. Overall, Guardian is a good company.

Guardian Protection Services was my builder’s preferred supplier, and the customer service was not so great with their service level follow-up but they were always attentive. The sales reps were there when they needed to be although they were trying to solicit a lot of extra business. Also, I wish the service from the installers are a little more expedient on results. The installers needed to come out twice but the installation went well. Also, Guardian’s prices should be a little more modeled. Their pricing is very high. Still, the system is very good and the smartphone features are always convenient. Guardian is a decent provider that has a lot of options.

The Guardian reps answered what I wanted to know, and they were knowledgeable for what problem might’ve existed. However, I didn't like the way the installers presented the product. They don’t explain the whole thing until it’s over with, and then they say, “You owe me X amount of dollars.” I did not like that. I still have them, but that was a bad experience to start with.

I've had Guardian in my home for 12 years. I've never found anybody much cheaper and customer service has been 100%. Technology is exploding and what I have in my house is almost what I had 12 years ago. If I was to look at systems today, I would have something much different. Still, the system that we have is adequate, so we just kept it as it is. Recently though, we had an installation and I had a thermostat put in. It will tell me if the condominium gets very hot or very cold. The installation went well.

Some of my friends had Guardian, so I thought I would give it a try. The guy who came to install the system was very knowledgeable and I didn’t have any issues there. He knew what he was doing and he got it done. He also gave some suggestions and I told him to go ahead with them. The system does some basic stuff but the pricing is still higher for what it does. So the features offered for the price is very limited and the price has to go down or the features has to improve.
Also, I don’t use most of the features other than arming and disarming on the LCD. They're too vague and some of the things it gives me are pretty outdated. But the smart feature from the phone is good. I can arm and disarm through that and that is helpful. Since having the system, I feel a little bit more secure in my home. I had to compliment those other security solutions as well, like Nest.

I used to have Guardian up north, and I am using them again now. The installation of our equipment was fairly quick. The guy came. It was a contractor, but he came out and he did everything. They had to come back and make adjustments and put it together and do an antenna on it because of the concrete block wall. But other than that, it was fine. They were good. We’ve done all the doors and windows and everything is set up. We just had to get it tweaked, but everything on it is working good.
Guardian's customer service has been great. I had a little problem with the alarm about two weeks ago, and I called, and they took care of it. It was like at 10 o’clock at night. The system does what we need it to do. It worked up north. It’s worked down here. It’s a good alarm system. It’s worked well for us and people can get it on their phone.

We bought our house in 2017 and were told we just had to finish out the contract, now they are saying we signed a 60-month contract. The installer had us sign a paper but never told us we were signing a 60 month contract!! If I did I was not told that! I would never sign a contract for 5 years. I have tried to work with them. Now they say they want $700.00 to cancel the contract! I would not ever recommend this company!!

The rep showed me how to use the system and he was good but later, after I needed things, the experience wasn't so good. I couldn't get what I want. Currently, I have four cameras with Guardian and I wanted more but I was told by Guardian that I couldn’t put any more cameras on. I told them I’d do whatever I had to to get four more cameras, and they couldn’t do it. My brother’s got a Guardian over in Tampa, and he’s got eight cameras on, so somebody’s lying. I’ve already talked to two people and since I couldn’t get them to do anything else, I put four of my own in with another company. I also got one light that I can control from my phone. I wanted three more, and I can’t get that done either. We also had a lot of false alarms. The system couldn’t read some of the sensors that were out in the boat shed, but we got that taken care of. Also, the installation experience was good.

I’ve had Guardian for close to 20 years and I love them. I’ve moved four times and every time I move, I have to extend the contract another five years. It could be inconvenient, but then I weigh that with the service I get and it balances out. The reps are great too. They're always very professional and helpful. Overall, the system is wonderful and I have recommended Guardian. It’s very reliable and it’s been around a long time. It’s not like these little Bluetooth things going through the wi-fi. The technology is a little different, and I feel safer. I’m very comfortable with it.

When I signed up for the service the sales man said that if I needed to cancel the contract I would be able to do so which is why I signed up. I sold my home and am no longer using the services but they are still charging me. They sent me to collections without telling me. Don't sign a contract with this company.

Guardian is the fourth security system provider we've had, and they've been the best. The installation took a couple of hours and it went smoothly. We went with them owing to their price, but the service calls were a little overpriced. They don't have local repair people, and the ones we had to do the repair came out of Lubbock. The people were nice and professional, though. Overall, I would recommend Guardian.

Prior to using Guardian, I had a different home security system provider which did some type of upgrade to our system but we were never really connected for a whole year. Then, I did a five-year contract with Guardian and found them to be much better. We are probably around midyear in our fourth year with them and I feel secure having them. I have the app and if my son comes into town and I’m not at home, he could always call me and I can disarm the system through my phone, which is a nice feature. I would recommend Guardian.

My son mentioned Guardian Security as one of the outfits, and I decided to talk to them first. Their rep came out and I liked what he said. Although they were not the lowest, they were reasonably priced. I had the system installed about seven years ago and the guy who came out did a nice job. Everything, including the motions and smoke alarm, has been fine and I'm very pleased with the service. One day, a girl called and said the battery was going bad. I like her. She sent me a battery, and Guardian billed me. They trusted me that I was gonna send them the money. I put in the battery, and it went fine. With Guardian Security, I feel very comfortable leaving my house.

I’m a customer of Guardian since 2007. This is my third property, and I’ve been using them ever since for each one of the properties. I've had an excellent experience with their reps so far. I have external cameras, doorbell camera also and another one inside the house that you can see in your cellphone whatever is going on in the house. There's no problem with the quality of service and the attention in the details, etcetera. Guardian should keep on trying to make it as best as they could every time, every day. And they are doing it, they are working on it.

When we spoke with Guardian's reps, they knew what they were doing. Also, the installation experience was great. I had a different home security system and I didn’t like the buzz or bell thing. It was too loud. We use the Guardian alarm system and we haven't called anybody, so we're good.

Guardian Protection Services has the telephone app where we could operate the system when we're not at home. We have one camera as well as the remotes, and everything was fine with the installation. When we have a problem, they come out and fix it in a timely manner. For a while, we had a problem with the keypad, and they replaced a sensor. My interactions with their reps were wonderful. I like Guardian and I've referred people to them. People should get it.

I used to have ADT then I went with Guardian and got better value. They gave me a few more pieces of equipment on installation. The glass-break detectors were a nice touch. I have those at some outlying areas of the house. The central placement of the ADT system was a little out of date but with Guardian using similar products, the system could be upgraded without having to change out a whole lot of things. It was mainly some minor upgrades, like the glass-breaks and the placement of the motion sensor, which they moved to a more advantageous position in the living room. Besides that, Guardian's reps are incredibly prompt when the alarm goes off. It takes me more than 10 seconds to get to the pad, so it would usually give me a call. Technically, it’s an inconvenience but it’s a good one. I would recommend Guardian.

I've used Guardian Protection Services on both my houses and the whole thing was easy. The installation was quick and the installers were able to use some of the stuff that was there before. I like having the key fob to be able to turn the system off remotely. I also like being able to use the app on my phone to turn the system on and off.

I had Guardian before and then we had somebody that came in that really sold us on what we felt was a better system. The system was okay but then they were bought out and I wound up going back to Guardian. They took over my old system, which it's not one of the newer systems. The overall quality of Guardian is good and it works properly. However, I'm having a little bit of an issue with a sensor of the alarm system that they came in and fixed, and that I think I can still get fixed. It's not a big deal. There is also an upgrade to the system, which I am thinking about looking into at some point. They have a different pad. Moreover, they're very easy to work with. When I call for service, they get right out here. I'm satisfied with Guardian and I'm not gonna change any more.

When we purchased our home in Florida, Guardian Protection was already installed. We weren't over the moon about an alarm system, but decided to give it a try. The tech came out to our house, showed us how to use the system and then left. For two years things were pretty good. We didn't have any major issues, and the alarm seemed to work well. We called to discuss getting video monitoring set up, but decided against it at the time after speaking to the woman over the phone.
Fast forward a year and we were given a chance to move out of state. We called Guardian but found out they don't offer service in our new area. The woman we spoke to over the phone said that because they didn't offer service in our new area they would terminate the contract. We signed the papers on the 27th of June, but on the 25th of July (today), they charged our account.
When we called the guy basically told us to suck it up and pay for it. It was a slap in the face and he was very rude the entire time. Telling us that if we don't stop talking and listen the call won't end in our favor. We aren't paying for something that we don't use and have no use for now. The employees are rude and to me that's enough to not use their system. I loved having an alarm. Even if Guardian eventually came to this area, I would never use them again.

When the salesman that came to the door talked to me about the security system, I liked it well enough to go ahead and go with them to allow them to come in and change out the existing system. The Guardian system was more advanced, and I like it better. The installation went very smoothly. The last time that Guardian was here, they brought it up to newer equipment, and everything's fine.

When we were building our house, Guardian was the only one that was offered. It’s a little higher-priced than other security systems though, so we're considering maybe switching. The system is also a little outdated. We just got the app with the phone and they just told us about that. We should’ve been told years ago about it. We had to order a new lock for the basement and the tech was the one that told us about it, so if he hadn’t come out, we’d probably still be doing it manually all the time.

Took a weekly to get a backup battery for system, so system was down for a week. The system kept beeping every 15 seconds and drove us crazy. Surely 1-2 day express delivery is warranted. Being without the system up and running was most disconcerting. Does not give me great confidence in Guardian.

Do not use Guardian. They have a million hidden fees! The motion detector was already in the home when I bought it and severely outdated. After a while, it started malfunctioning. Guardian had to replace it because it was old and not working properly. They charged me $50 to update their equipment. Why? I wish they would allow me to cancel, they won't. Be careful of those service calls. They are going to make money on them even though it's not your fault.

Guardian is a lot more convenient compared to my previous system. Anytime I have an issue when I call, it’s usually taken care of right away whether we’re going out of town and we need to give new contact information for the week that we’re gone, or we have an issue and we call for service. The reps have all been pleasant. We had an issue with our alarm system and it was a cellphone coverage last month, and when we called Guardian, they were very eager about coming out. The technician that came out was super helpful and friendly. We love Guardian and we feel more secure with them.

The customer service rep handled the situation well. The installers knew what to do. They were in and out. The features work fine and the quality of the equipment is good. We switched from our local Cincinnati Bell because we were getting rid of our landline and I was going to a different company. There were some other people in the neighborhood who had Guardian and had a good experience with it, so we used them and they took over a system we already had. Within the last eight weeks, our carbon monoxide monitor went out. It was getting old and we were getting some false alarms, so we called them and the entire experience was fine. It was a little expensive, but I get it. Every interaction that I’ve ever had with anybody calling or coming here to our house has been very professional.

Comparing Guardian to our previous service, they're like night and day. The reps at Guardian are very helpful, understanding and responsive to some issues that I’ve had. The quality of everything has been excellent as well. The only concern I have is the doorbell camera. It came apart even though nobody has tampered with it and the Guardian technician verified that. They said that it was something from the manufacturer. They put another one in but this one hasn't been in for three weeks and it seems to be coming apart faster than the first one.
When I called, they said that they would need to replace it. But the doorbell camera may have been getting too much sun because it was summer. I recommended that they move it. In fact, when they were installing things, we could have had conversations about those doorbells going somewhere else. But they did things without asking and they just put things where they thought it went. I’m sure that they knew what they were doing though. The installation was during spring when the temperature and the weather were different. Other than that, everything has been amazing. I'm very happy with the way Guardian processes payments and handles my calls.

We had used Guardian for eight years, and then we were gonna switch to another provider, but we ended up just adding on to Guardian. We told them what we were getting from the other company, and then their rep said that they could do it for less. But they did less than that. We thought we were getting a station in the house with the hard drive that stored our recordings. What we got is a web version where we can see it.
There was also a little frustration with scheduling and then getting the system fixed and installed right. The panel didn’t work at first and they had three people out. The problem was with a setting online, but the first two people didn’t know it. So, we ended up having to have three appointments, which was a little irritating, but it was understandable. It is new technology. The reps handled the issues professionally, and they were all polite and kind. Plus, all our interactions with the technicians were what we expected or better. They would come the day they said they were gonna come, and they would have the things that they need to get done. The stuff works the way it is supposed to work now. It's just that I didn’t get the feature I wanted most. I’m not satisfied with what I got, but I’m not mad at them. We just got the wrong stuff. And it is hard to be satisfied when you don’t have the right stuff.

I moved to Fairmount, Indiana and it was just me and my grandson. The house I bought here has two stories and he discovered that the porch was very easily accessible, just by stepping out the window. My sister has Guardian and she told me to call them. They came and talked to me, and we fixed everything. I haven’t had any problems with the installation at all. A gentleman came and did all my downstairs windows, my doors and especially the bedroom windows upstairs for my grandson who would sit out on the porch.
By now, I've had Guardian for almost six years and I would definitely recommend them. I love it. I'm an elderly person and I’ve got my little grandson that I’m raising. He was only 6 at that time and it was a little difficult for me. All the bedrooms and stuff are upstairs and I slept little at night because we were having some problems with some children. They were mostly breaking in to elderly people’s homes for the stuff they thought they could find. But that got all figured out. There were people right here and they took care of the situation. I felt really secured and I sleep well at night knowing that the system would go off if it’s necessary.
We also had an incident where there were kids who thought it was fun to go around and hit people’s windows. When they hit one and knocked it off, Guardian came right out and fixed it for me. They didn’t even hesitate. Their reps have also always been wonderful. Every time I set the system off, they would always call in to check on me and they were always right there to do whatever I’ve needed. Plus they’ve always been very sweet. I couldn’t ask for better.
The system's features are also wonderful and the smartphone features are really good. If I’m upstairs and I forgot to turn the system on, there’s some notice and it lets me correct the problem without having to come down the stairs, which is a little difficult sometimes since I’m 76 years old. The only problem I have is that I can’t reach the fire alarm to change the battery unless I climb up on the ladder. But the fire department is right next to me here. Then one time, for some reason, I had the system go off in the office or wherever it's supposed to go off but it didn’t go off here. Guardian had to call my sister, who was on the list of emergency contacts, and they called the police station. The next thing I knew, my sister was breaking in. I thought that my alarm wasn’t going off but Guardian had them here and they were checking in, and I appreciated that. Guardian came, checked the system and fixed whatever was wrong with it.

Compared to my former service, Guardian Protection's pricing is more favorable. Plus, my interactions with their reps have been very positive. They were very responsive. I had a difficult time getting started though and had a lot of technical problems, but they were resolved in a timely manner. The installers seemed to be very capable, but part of the problem was that I didn’t get a complete system from Guardian Protection. They integrated it into the system I had, which complicated the installation. Fortunately, it seems to be working fine and I’ve had them for seven months now. The system's overall functionality and performance turned out to be excellent, and the features are good. They're everything I need. Plus, the smartphone features make it very convenient.

Guardian Protection was very proactive. When I called in, they offered me a promotion as a new customer. Their system that was at our house that we bought was a little bit older. So, they updated the system at no cost and I just signed up for 60 months contract. When we moved in, they sent a person to do the upgrade, but the motion sensor was not updated, and that defaulted. So, the moment after the person left, we couldn’t activate the alarm. They had to come back the following week. But was not a real problem. They were very quickly to arrange for.
Their app is very helpful. I’m amazed because I've been doing a lot of work around the house, and every time that I touch something, the system tells me that somebody’s tampering with it. We were painting and I removed one of the smoke detectors, and the system doesn’t like that at all. So, I'm learning about the system. It’s just good that you go home and you feel that at least you’re not gonna walk into someone in the house. My wife is home alone more than I want to so it’s good for her to have it. It's my first experience with a home security and so far, so good. And the price is competitive.

Guardian Protection's customer service team was nice and informative. The service techs are very knowledgeable. I like them and I like that they actually work for the company. Also, the sales rep was very informative. He’s the one that actually sold me their system. He worked with me and gave me a better discount on upgrading my keypad.
Installing our Guardian system was very easy. Their tech came in. He was very professional. He installed the system and showed me that everything was working, and made sure everybody who’s here knew how to operate the system. I did like that, too. He was very courteous and answered all our questions. The experience was really pleasant and easy.
The system is very nice. I really like it. I like the updates of the system, too. The only thing is that they don’t offer a door camera. I do have the automatic lock, which is nice. But I would prefer to have a camera system versus the automatic lock. But other than that, the system is great. I love the way it operates. It's very easy and the keypad is very bright. The siren is very loud and overall, the system is very up-to-date. Guardian’s smart phone features are very good. Every time the door chimes, it’s telling me the system is disarmed or I do get a ping on my phone. I also like that I can actually set it through my phone.
Right now, everything’s been good. The only thing I did have a problem was the motion sensor. I called customer service and they walked me through the troubleshoot, which didn’t work. They had a tech respond very quickly. He came out, checked the system and showed me what was going on with the motion sensor. I told him I still wasn’t really happy about that. He said, “Look. I’ll just change it out just to be on the safe side.” He changed it out and I was happy with that. I was happy with him. He really knew what he was doing.

I got a camera outside and one extra doorbell through Guardian. It was cool. At my other house, I had the camera inside the house so that’s a little different than what Guardian had. I just had to troubleshoot my Guardian doorbell a couple of times to get it jumpstarted again. Also, I’m getting a lot of texts from them. I had cut off notifications and I’m still getting emails. I don’t need to know every time a door opens up and that’s what it does with the email. Besides that, everything else is pretty good.

I was disappointed to find out that we pay almost double what most people pay because our salesman, who was a subcontractor in this area, led us to believe that each camera cost an additional $10 on our service. We found out we could have as many cameras as we want, it was just a resolution issue. We are paying $75 a month, based on two cameras, when every single other person I know are paying in the 50's. And I should've been paying $55 a month plus tax.
I’m also stuck in a contract for five years which bothers me because I believed that our only option was the five-year lease when I found out afterwards that that’s not true. I'm happy with Guardian and happy with the response of it. But I feel like I was cheated. I was definitely misinformed. I’m still paying the same amount. Nobody is changing it. But we’ve had no problem with Guardian in any other way. I’m happy with my system.

We bought a new house and the previous owners had Guardian's system. We changed stuff as we didn't want them knowing all the combinations and we had several positive interactions with their reps. Though we had to deal with the difficulty of their four-hour windows, the set up of the equipment wasn't too bad. Their techs were very capable and nice to deal with. Since then, I've been happy with my system. I've also been liking Guardian's smart phone features which are nice when we're out of town.

We moved into a new house and Guardian was the one that installed everything in it so we decided to go with them. Guardian has been great. A couple of times from cooking, the alarm went off and they always called. I've called with a few technical questions a few times and they've always been helpful. This last time, our electronic lock went bad and we had to replace it. They came out relatively quickly within a few days and were able to replace it. The technician checked it and got the mechanism working. But he never checked the keypad and I had to explain to him the keypad was bad. That was when they decided they needed to change the lock because the keypad wasn't working. But it was the little more costly than I would've hoped. If I had done it myself, I probably could've done it much cheaper but I don't know that I would've gotten the same lock.
We like the system. When they came and connected the system, we had them install one additional smoke alarm that went directly to them as well because our smoke alarms weren't tied in to their system. Customizing the package was fairly easily done. Not only did we have the extra smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, but we also had an in-law suite and we had an extra electronic lock set up there. My wife uses it as a teaching studio so the students come in with their codes. We have a housekeeper that comes in with a code too, and it all works great.

Everybody whom I've spoken with at Guardian has been very respectful. They try to explain their answer without making me feel stupid. The installers came and explained what they were gonna do. They got permission to draw holes on the wall where they had to and cleaned up their mess before they had left. So far, I love the features that are offered with my system. I also really like the app with which I can control my house from my cellphone. However, we all went out-of-state one time and while we were gone, we got a notification letting us know that our security system had been disarmed.
Nobody in the state had access to our code, so, I don't know how it got deactivated when nobody was home. That time, I told my mom to get in her car and drive over to my place and check my house. When she got to my place, I unlocked the front door and deactivated the code for her to come in. Nobody was there and so I got on the phone and I just locked the house back up and reset the alarm. Despite that system malfunction, I'm very satisfied with my Guardian system and I've recommended them to other people.

My husband traveled and I was nervous about being home alone. My neighbor had a security system, not through Guardian, but I started looking and Guardian's price was right when they were gonna put it into my house. At that point, I only had to pay for the phone hookup and all the equipment came with it. It was something I felt more secure with with two little kids. Someone did try to break in my house a couple of years after we had Guardian. They had tried to get into a door. It would have been the door with the monitor system. My neighbor came home and scared them away. They had gotten other houses on the next street, but thank heavens, they didn’t get into mine.
I’ve probably had Guardian for 20 years and it’s been a good experience. The reps are always very pleasant. Thank heavens, we haven’t really had any trouble. I’m very satisfied with Guardian. It’s kind of our daily routine. I have recommended them at that time to my mother and my daughter now has Guardian.

We had a different home security provider in the past and Guardian is more responsive and quicker. If I ever have anything going off, they always get in contact with me. Their customer service is very good. I never had a problem in terms of the monitoring with Guardian but I've had a problem with the distributor of the system and when they put it in. They were horrible. They connected it wrong and it would short out our phone. They would blame the phone company and the phone company would say, "No. It isn't. It's the people who installed it." It was everyday from the time they installed it until this tech who fixed it came.

I had a prior security service wherein we constantly had false alarms and our sensors wouldn't work. I liked the upgrades of service and materials used by Guardian so I went with them. Their installers were in and out quickly and did not leave a mess. They cleaned up well and explained everything very efficiently. We customized our system to our needs and the quality of the equipment we got has been good. The system works very well. Thus far, their reps have been very prompt and quick to respond in a very positive way. Having Guardian has been a pleasant experience and I'll continue to use them.

The Guardian representative I dealt with was very nice, very knowledgeable, and told us a lot of things. He did an excellent job. The installation of our equipment went well. And the system normally does all right just like now that it's working. We've had a lot of trouble with Guardian. The door lock wouldn't work. The video camera that we had installed worked, then it quit for a long time. Then they never would send anybody out here. We went almost a year trying to get somebody to do something about it. So, I'm not happy with the whole deal.
I finally talked to a manager and told him I was ready to cancel it out. The last man that was out here finally figured out what was wrong. Guardian seemed to finally got the thing. But I wouldn't recommend Guardian. They could improve their service. When I get a problem and we can't fix it, and Guardian sends somebody out here, I don't think I ought to be charged for a person coming out here to fix the problem.

The battery on my Guardian wall unit ran out. Their techs said they were gonna come out and put a new battery in. I'm paying them $43 a month for five years but then they're telling me that they gotta charge me a $25 service charge to come out and fix the unit in my house. I don't feel really good about that. Currently, I don't have any service. Additionally, Guardian can't schedule me until the 17th and I'm out of town. I told them I won't be back until the 20th. It's been three weeks that I haven't had service but they're still gonna bill me. Their reps told me that when their techs get my system fixed, I should call them and they will adjust my bill. Even so, I wasn't confident that they were even gonna do that. While customer service has been fine, I'm debating around whether I will just cancel and do away with Guardian at this point.

Previously, I had Xfinity as my security system provider. Now that I have Guardian, I've found that they have much better customer service. They also have better technicians who come out to my house. They know a lot when I call for technical support. They’re an alarm company rather than a cable company managing an alarm company on the side. So, having them was a different experience. Now, I have alarms at two different houses and I can see all of them on the app. Guardian's camera works better too and they have appalarm.com so their system is easy to use. It meets what I need.

Guardian was cost-effective at the time I got them 20 years ago. The reps have usually been helpful but lately, I’ve been having an issue getting a replacement part which is for a magnetic target for a sensor. I've been trying to get one for over a month and they sent me the wrong part three times. I’m on my fourth time now. But Guardian has been pretty reliable over the past 20 years. I got a traditional system and that’s what I like about it. I just set it and leave. The quality is suitable too.

The key power was shorting out in the middle of the night. So I was putting my code to disarm the system and it would immediately flip back and try to arm itself. So as long as I was standing there putting in my code, it would disarm and flip over. But then it started randomly putting in numbers and arming itself. Eventually, the alarm did go off. But in the meantime, I had called the 800 number. I was talking to someone and he walked me through everything I needed to do. I had to unplug the system, take the keypads apart and take the backup battery out. During this entire time, the alarm was just wailing. I could hardly hear him. But he was very nice. He told me not to worry and that he was gonna stay right there on the phone until we get it resolved. I was worried that the police would come but he said they wouldn't and that they had let the police know. He helped me through it and got it all taken care of.
He also put in a call for someone to come the next day to set up the repair. It was very stressful but they did a good job and took care of me. I was very pleased with the service. I have my home with D.R. Horton Homes and it was actually Guardian's system that was in there. Guardian was a better deal too, as far as cost. The guy gave me the list of all the different options and told me that they have a very basic one. I told him that was what I wanted to start with. I'm not into all the technology and being able to turn my life off and on from my phone. So I really just have the basic service and I'm happy with it. It serves its purpose. It does what I want it to do.
I'm single. I just have me and my little dog so I feel much safer having the Guardian system. I don't arm it at night because I have actually set it off before, getting up in the morning, opening the door and letting my little dog out. But I do arm it when I'm gone for work then also if I go somewhere for a weekend. It makes me feel better knowing that I have that extra level of security.

I bought a home from Lennar builders and I was told that Guardian services has been installed in my home and I have to sign a contract for three years. When I wanted to cancel the contract before three years, the customer service representative told me that I‘ll have to pay a 750 dollar early termination fee per contract. This was mentioned in the contract and I did not cancel it. In the final year of the contract, I wanted to put a driveway security camera and called Guardian to install it, I was told to put a sign of 60 months contract. I refused to sign and told them that I am not fine with the early termination fee. I was assured there will not be such fee and I read completely through the contract and signed it and installed a security camera. Now 36 months have been completed and I wanted to cancel Guardian. I have been still asked to pay 750 dollars.
When I refused, I was first told it was In the second contract and when I said there was no such thing mentioned in the second contract, I was told it was the cost of camera and when I said that the camera is not so costly and they can take it, I was told that the first contract for 36 months is the real contract, if I sign it then I have to pay even if I cancel their other contracts. Guys I am not even at my home and moved out but still Guardian will not cancel my service if I don’t pay 750 dollars. I paid for 36 months and still stuck because I installed a new camera. Guys please don’t get stuck like me. It was a bitter experience that I don’t want service and I am penalized for nothing.

I previously had Slomins, and I had an older system and they wouldn’t change it. Since Guardian was getting in preconstruction and stuff was being done, I had them do it. Their system is easy to understand, but the first two guys that came weren’t helpful. They were in a hurry and they couldn't wait to get out of here. I had somebody else that came another day and he was really good. Also, there was one issue a few weeks ago when I didn’t realize I couldn't open my windows ‘cause the guy put the contacts in the wrong place. But I worked at it and opened it really wide.
I drive customer service crazy ‘cause I can’t keep taking days off for them to come. It used to be that if I saw the guy in the neighborhood and I had a problem, he'd come in. Also, I’m a little disappointed that I'm back up to full price since I got half the first year because they did not want to lose me. Nonetheless, I really like that if I call Guardian for an emergency or something’s wrong, they tell me how to do it. One time, for some reason, I had to leave and I couldn’t set the alarm. They told me to do it through my phone.

From a conversation point of view, Guardian's customer service is fine. It's just that it took more than one call to get what I wanted done. There were times when I wasn't getting any good service and I had to call multiple times. My wife was ready to pull the plug. When the guy came to re-establish my connection with my phone line, I never got a bill. Since I made the call and had the guy come here, I understood it was gonna cost me. What it was gonna cost me, I didn't know. What I got all of a sudden is a notice that I owe Guardian for the time he was here in May. I paid it, but that's an issue.
When we had the hurricane, the lines went down. My system wasn't working. Though they've been able to fix it, it took me three phone calls to get them to have somebody come here to see what had happened. The last one was when I had an analog line and I switched it over to my fiber optic and connected it. The guy had to come out here and do a connection. That one was done relatively quick and easy, but it cost me $195.

When I’ve upgraded some of the existing devices in the home and a couple of times when we called out for service, everything’s been really great. Guardian has been fairly responsive and the technicians were fine. They wore badges appropriately credentialed from Guardian. They weren’t just some third party random contractors. The work they did seems pretty solid so that’s good. The items that they installed haven’t malfunctioned in any way that I can tell so that’s a plus. Whenever I’ve had service techs or their evaluators come through, they’ve been very respectful of my home. They take off their shoes or put on their shoe guards so I appreciate that.
One of my biggest critiques of their offerings is that the smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide units are separate. They would do multiple installations of those multiple units. It would be better if there was just one unit that did all those functions so that way, I have less stuff in my home. The other thing is they use Z-Wave protocol technology and not all of their items appropriately integrate with that just yet. Z-Wave keypad doesn’t interact with Nest or any Wi-Fi. So, you sort of swap into a Z-Wave infrastructure if you want to change the thermostats in your house that hasn’t worked appropriately with your keypad. Something to allow connectivity to different protocols would be helpful.
We’ve had a couple of false alarms, but they’ve always been prompt in calling so I appreciated that. On a day to day basis, we don’t really worry about our security. Guardian is good to have as a monitoring when I activate it. That makes me feel confident when I turn it on at night. If there’s a sensor that goes off, it’s nice to know that it’s active and it’s just another set of eyes. The system is gonna be handy the one time in 20 years when we have a break-in or something real happens, and that’s what you pay all this money for. I’m hoping that if and when it ever happens, that’s when they’re ready to shine.
The features offered in the system is tiered for whatever you wanna spend. I spent a lot and I got what I paid for. I’m not sure that there’s a real difference between any of the providers but for what you’re getting, a lot of the other security providers charge a less significant amount. Also, Guardian locks you in to a long-term contract. They could charge a little less for what they provide and still be in line with the rest.

A friend of mine mentioned Guardian and signing up with them was fairly easy. The rep was nice. The installation was also easy and everybody was courteous. The system does what I want it to do. I have had Guardian since 1990. SafeGuard was the original name at that particular time. I have had some problems lately, but they came out and fixed everything that needed to be fixed. Our experience with Guardian has been okay. In my prior residence, we have Guardian, and then we switched to a different one. And when we moved here, we went with Guardian. I don't like Guardian's equipment. The other system was much more updated. It was a voice panel and a little bit more digital. The representatives at Guardian have been okay. They generally answer my questions. We had a problem with our smoke detectors going off, and they were not very helpful there. It really was a simple matter that they could have handled for us. I guess it was just a simple matter of taking the batteries out of the smoke detector so that we could at least disable them. And they're hard-wired. We weren’t really familiar with them. And I thought Guardian could have handled that situation a little bit better.
Other than that, the installation experience was fine. The technician was good and patient. We’re not the most techie people in the world, but he took the time to explain things to us and show us how to work the system. I called Guardian a couple of months ago because when I got my bill, there was something about upgrading to a more digital type or voice activated control panel. The person I spoke with said something like $500 to put the system in. And I thought that was totally ridiculous.
We really are considering not renewing when our plan is up. We rarely turn the system on. I understand Guardian doesn't have anything to do with that. Our main purpose that we've kept it is because of the fire alarm system. We do appreciate that. If the house were ever to catch on fire, it would send the signal directly to the fire department. That's the biggest plus. But we really don't have to worry about a lot of security. We're in a secure area.

I had a rocky start with Guardian Protection Services. Another company was representing them and that company was flaky. But I understand that they’re out of the picture now and things have been going smoothly. The monitoring fee is a little high, which I don't care for, but with everything that I’m getting, it’s probably what the market runs for stuff like that.
I didn’t think too much of the technician who installed my system. They said that they were top-of-the-line, but the tech had to call in to get instructions on how to do different things. Plus, the camera system wasn’t up to par like I wanted it to. It had too much of lag time. Security cameras should be just about real time so I ended up with my own security cameras. The system's overall functionality and performance is top-notch though. And its features are good. I can control my thermostat and I have two light modules I can turn on and off. That’s awesome, especially during the times when I need it. I also use the smartphone features and do everything on my phone.

So, when we signed on we were stuck with a 5 year contract. We signed on when we built our home. They were so expensive. We tried to reduce our rate. We were told that we COULD reduce our rate and get this great video ring type doorbell but we needed to extend our contract. If we wanted to cancel we would have to repay the cost of the doorbell though. We decided to do it.
It took us months to get the doorbell. The doorbell only works if someone rings it, so if people knock it doesn't activate it nor does it activate it if someone walks up. Also, they renewed us for another 48 months (yes, this is my fault for not reading it). When I called to cancel the service I was told I would have to pay a flat fee plus a percentage of the remaining contract, a total of almost $1700.00. I informed them that the doorbell is of poor quality and to do what any other video doorbell does it would cost me more than what my previous service does. I was told they could send someone out to activate the motion sensor which the technician said it didn't have when they installed it.
This company is horrible, I would not recommend them to anyone, they work on LONG contracts and deceitful practices. We will now have to purchase a video doorbell and pay a monthly service separate from our Guardian Bill which will cost us more than what we were paying prior to reducing our rate with Guardian. In five years now we have constantly been given the run-around and different stories when we have had issues. I will never again do business with them and will be sure to tell all of my clients to stay away from Guardian.

Five years ago, a person came by soliciting the security for our home. I listened to what they had to say and it sounded like they were up-to-date at the time technically. I was satisfied with what Guardian Protection Services offered as well as the price. Two years after I had it, I had a problem with them. I should have experienced an alarm and I didn’t. I called in and they said they didn’t even know who I was. At that point, I thought it was a fraudulent operation. I went to the police, I told them that and they made a couple of calls. They said Guardian was a legit organization. It turned out that there was some screw up and I wasn’t even listed as a customer.
I didn’t know how long I was not insured but I told them that I didn’t want it anymore. I wouldn’t take Guardian, so the people who originally sold it to me called and said that they got it addressed and they could clip it in the house. I concurred that I would go ahead and keep the contract, and extend a little bit to do a couple other upgrades. I realized it could happen with other companies as well but I was appalled at that time. Nevertheless, since we had it reinstated, I haven’t had any problems, so we’re okay. I should’ve dropped them at that point even though I knew that I would sign a longer term contract. They wanted to make it right but it still kinda sticks in my mind. There was a big lapse, which was nine months and they didn’t do anything monetarily to make it right. It should’ve happened. There was quite a long time there that I was not insured, and I know they had quite an investment, because they upgraded a lot of things in my house.
The features are functioning okay but looking at the market, there’s more out there that’s being offered at lower prices. I’ve still got a year and a half or two years left on my contract and so, I will be looking into that before renewing. Also, I wanna monitor my home while I’m gone. I’m sure I can do that, but I don’t know exactly how. Guardian Protection Services should make the customers aware of where they stand relative to some of the new features that I see advertised. One of them is monitoring your house with your cellphone while you’re gone. That would be a good feature.

We have used other security systems for my previous homes. But when we built the house, Guardian was what the builder recommended, so we went with them. The tech who came out for the installation was phenomenal and so far, our interactions with their reps has been minimal but satisfactory. But Guardian doesn’t have a technician that works for their company in this area and they subcontract the jobs. They did when we started, but they don’t now and it’s been almost five years. So when we had a carbon monoxide detector go out and it was beeping like crazy, it took them two weeks to have a tech come out and fix it. Other than that, the system's features meet our needs and its overall quality is adequate.

Our builder recommended Guardian Protection Services and I’ve had nothing but problems. It didn’t get installed in time, so we had to go with a wireless system. The equipment doesn’t work. We had the doorbell and a camera replaced three times. We have service people in our house probably 11 times, with all kinds of problems. They tried to fix it with free stuff and we got a month free somewhere. And I can’t get out of the contract. So, it’s either live with it or give them bad reviews. So, we’re living with it until our contract’s over. They have to be clear on their service model where you have one year covered and then two years where you have to pay for everything. Even if it’s faulty equipment that they are selling, I still have to pay for it, which doesn’t make any sense.

I had basic service with ADT before and I really upgraded when I went to Guardian. I was okay with ADT and they responded when needed. They would send the police out when the alarms went off. But with Guardian, they try every effort to contact me before they call the cops. I had a monitor that was setting itself off, so I was getting these calls all the time saying the living room sensor was going off and asking if they should call the cops. The reps were very, very professional, and we got that monitor fixed.
I love the doorbell and the ring. I love the electronic locks that I've put in, so we don’t have to use keys. In my guest home, I have another entrance with another door where I occasionally have an Airbnb guest, which is why I upgraded it to the electronic locks. Guardian told me that by doing that, I could set my alarm when I leave so that when they open their doors with the combination, my alarm won't go off because I'm in a different section of the house. I had a real issue with that at first, but I just figured it out the other day.
Guardian's pricing is fair too. So far, I haven't had an increase in price. That makes me feel like they got people out there, and they don’t have to keep making us pay more. I've referred Guardian a couple of times to my friends, but they said that Guardian wasn’t in that part of Visalia, which sounded strange because he didn’t live that far from me. They said they didn’t do service in that part of Visalia. But overall, it has been a very good experience. I'm at peace when I leave home. I'm a travel agent, and I'm gone sometimes a month or so, but I'm not worried about my house. I know that if something were to happen, Guardian will notify the person on there and it would be taken care of. So, I've traveled away feeling very comfortable.

Somebody from Guardian came to the door and asked if I want to switch over to them. They offered to install for free, and they gave me a credit card. I was ready to change over anyhow, so I went ahead and let them do it. They’ve been very nice. I have set the alarm off many times, and they’re always very understanding and patient with me because I forgot to turn it off before I lock the door. They respond very, very quickly. They’re on the phone before I can get inside the door. I feel very secure with a system in the house. All I have is a pad on the wall and remote, and it is easy to work.

Great from initial call to installation. Rebecca ** who was my sales associate has been with the company for 9 years and was amazing. She was polite, knowledgeable and really took the time to explain the packages and schedule the installation. The installer Chidi ** was running a little late and called me well before the expected time to inform me. Continued to keep me posted when he finished the previous job, and as he made it closer to my place which was an hour away. He was great. I now know why he was late, it is because he really takes the time with the client explaining everything he is doing and then setting up the keypad to the app and not leaving until he knew I was comfortable with everything. Great companies are built by great people and I am sure these two are not the only ones with Guardian Protection,. Would definitely recommend their service to anyone who needs an alarm.

When the system was installed, the installer was very nice and he walked me through everything. I also have a medical alert button, and he showed me how it went and how to work it if I want to use it as a watch or a necklace. I’m hard to understand things and he asked to sit down and really took his time with me to go over that stuff. He came back twice to work on the system because he said there was something wrong with the inside of the box, which was the reason why they could never get it set right.
I had to fill out a form because the price is kinda high and they haven't given me any upgrade. Right now, they gave me a little bit of upgrade, and my payments will stay the same but they’re gonna give me outside cameras on the house. About three weeks ago, they called me at 3 in the morning and they said there was some activity at my front door. The installation guy was supposed to come and put in the doorbell cameras. But I got stucco stone on my house, and they said it need to be a flat surface. They couldn’t do it, so they’re gonna do the cameras on the side of the house. The installation guy called me twice wanting to come and do the job, but I have to send the contract back. Guardian has to get the contract and put it in the system and then they can do the installation. I just mailed the letter back to them on Thursday.
I've been with Guardian for a number of years and I haven't had any problem with them, so far. If anything goes wrong, they always call me. Guardian is expensive. My bill is about $54 a month, and I'm on a fixed income. But since having the system, I feel safer because I can lock myself down, and it would fit with my grandson because he is in half the time I am in. I recommend them.

We've built two homes both with Ryan Homes, and Guardian was the preferred home security. So, I've been through the process twice. The representatives when you're building, are with the home security, but their job is also to sell home audio, extra alarms for the home, increasing the home security defense, along with Ethernet cables. They have many different hats that Guardian wears. They were very responsive and I typically had a good experience with them.
Most recent one was last year and the gentleman was very good. Obviously, since we built, we've had Guardian come out a few different times to either put a new hardware or they're also responsible for our airRouter in our home because we have a whole home system, and they came out for that as well. For our home security, it's definitely top-notch. I have no problems with it. They have a mobile app that’s fantastic. It's very user-friendly.
It's very easy to unlock my front door. I can open my garage or turn the system on and off all with my app. But currently they don’t have anything for thermostat that I'm aware of. So, that would be the downside. But they have a box that you can control your lights from inside your house if you need to turn your lights on and off. I have a home security within the home that I can view. It's got a recording on it. Also it's very, very proactive. When there is an alarm, even if it's just a trip, they contact me immediately. I'm very satisfied. We like Guardian Protection a lot and highly recommend.

She reviewed my account and recognized that very little equipment had been installed when I first signed up with Guardian, I moved to an area that Guardian didn't service and that a waiver of the contract charge was appropriate. She contacted me quickly and followed up with me through resolution. I appreciate her approach and restored my confidence in Guardian. I would consider using them again if I move back to an area that they service.
Original Review: May 4, 2019
Guardian provided very little in the way of equipment and had me locked in to a 5 year contract. The original sales rep said not to worry about the length of the contract because if I moved somewhere that they didn't service that I would be let out of the contract. I moved out of their service area in 2019 and called to cancel my service. The people at the customer service line said that I could only be let out of my contract if I got the new owners to sign a contract with Guardian to take my place. I got a verbal agreement from my buyers but they ultimately chose to go with a different company.
I called Guardian's customer service line again to see if they would let me out of the contract since I don't live in the home any longer and I don't live somewhere that they service. The representative told me that I should have read my contract more closely and that they aren't responsible for what the original sales person says. My options were to either pay a $750 settlement fee to close out the contract or to keep paying and hope that they decide to enter my market.
I am paying the fee to get the liability off of me for a service that they are not providing. Be very careful before signing with Guardian. Their monitoring service does not have any features that you can't get elsewhere for the same amount of money or less and their contract length and terms are punishing. Their customer service was decent when I was a customer but when asked to stand behind what their original representative stated, they hold firm to what is in writing. Don't do any business with them unless it is very clearly in writing with every detail spelled out.

I used to have ADT at another house and one of the primary things that used to bother me was that the alarm would just go off. And if you get too many of them, you have to pay for it. The ADT system was at a rental property, so I wasn’t there a lot of the times. The cops would have to come out because I wasn’t there to say that it was okay and that it was false alarm. One time, I would stand there and it just went off and there was nothing going on. So, it was a lot of false alarms that I wasn’t setting off. Guardian offered us to try something new, plus I was looking at video cameras.
The first rep that came was excellent. He was the actual installer and he was very patient and detailed. He didn't get irritated no matter how many questions I asked. He took his time with me and my husband over the questions that we had, especially on the online system, when we were first setting everything up. I didn’t like the way the cameras were positioned. So he went back up on the ladder and he repositioned it.
Later on, I still had to call because I wanted one changed from the side of the house to the garage, and somebody else came out for that. He was an older gentleman and his ladder wasn’t tall enough. He couldn't get up way high so he couldn’t reach it. But he was really nice and helpful as much as he could. He said he would put in to have somebody else come out. Somebody was supposed to call to come back out and nobody every called. But that was for the second go-around because for the first go-around, the younger guy did everything that I asked him to do.
I like the features in my system. I bring up the app on my tablet and phone. But I noticed that I can't bring up the doorbell on the computer. I can only bring it up on the tablet or smartphone. So when I’m on the computer and I pull up all the cameras live, it pulls up everything, but the doorbell camera. The rep told me that I can bring it up but it won't be live. It will only be video that have been saved throughout the day that triggered the doorbell. But other than that, I like it a lot. It was really nice that Guardian was able to put the alarm on this house. When we go to sleep at night, it is extra security. When my husband’s not home, I can put it on. It is good knowing that I can do that, and if these doors opened up, it would set off the alarm. I like that.

I had Guardian in my previous home in North Carolina. I was referred to them by a friend and everything was fine up until cancellation. That was where I was left unhappy with Guardian. I had the service for 10 years and when I moved to Pennsylvania, there was a break where I didn’t have a home when I moved here. But we started the service again and I signed a five-year contract. I paid everything in full and I’ve never been behind on any payments.
Then, I was relocating with work so I needed to cancel the service. There was only six months left on the contract and I was being charged a penalty to cancel the service. After nine and a half years of service, I’m being charged to cancel because I’m moving and I didn't feel very appreciated. It was pretty much black and white and there was no flexibility even though I’ve been a loyal customer for all those years. And I don’t have a new home to transfer the account to. But after several calls, we had a compromise and we split the difference. I paid the balance and the account is closed now. Based on my experience, I would tell others to look at other options.

At first I didn’t have a problem with the service until we had to change some parts in the audio system. They charged us for 2 parts and we only needed one and one of the new parts that we didn’t need did not work correctly. They knew it didn’t work but they spent hrs trying to figure out what the problem was. They thought it was my receivers was bad. After hrs of trying they wanted to come back and change the whole system out. It would have been very expensive.
We were still waiting on our homeowner insurance to see what they were going to pay for, so I told them once I found something out I would get back with them. We were use to using system with our tv. So after waiting around not using the system I decided to try putting one of the old piece back in, just to see and the system came right back on.
Long story short I called and explain everything to and they would tell they're going to talk to someone and they would get back with me. After going through a lot of back and forth with Guardian try to get them to take the part off my bill, they would say they would email me a return slip and I would check my email and my husband email and nothing. Months and months of going through this I’m so tired and frustrated. The part is still in the box on my garage and still on my bill 8 months later. The part was over 2 hundred and they changed me about 4 hrs of labor for a job that was not corrected. They are ripoffs.

Everything was okay with Guardian's salespeople and customer service personnel. My system was previously at my place when I moved in and later on, they put Wi-Fi in. Initially, the system didn't work on Wi-Fi because I changed vendors for my TV and phone. So, it had to be adjusted to that.

I previously had Protection1, then a Guardian Protection salesman came to my door, told me, he could offer me all this additional stuff. I didn't have door sensors before or windows sensor. He said he could get me window sensors and a camera, a dimmer light and a smoke detector that would alert the fire department if it went off. I could get all of that for the same price that I was paying Protection 1 and they wouldn't charge me anything for the equipment installation. Plus, they would buy out my Protection 1 contract, which was only $150. So I said, "Okay, deal." They bought out the contract. They installed most of what he promised, but I never got the smoke detector. And then later, he claimed, "Oh, I never promised that." Then within days after the installation, I started having problems with the equipment.
The equipment has never worked properly from the time it was installed. Every time I want them to repair their malfunctioning equipment, they charge me money. I just had the door sensors, the door lock, the control panel and dimmer switch removed from my service because it never worked. The security camera was worthless because it would only turn on when the alarm would go off. So, every time a window sensor goes offline, I'll get a phone call. Sometimes, I'm driving and I get a phone call from Guardian. I'm freaking out because I'm thinking somebody's trying to break into my home and as it turns out every single time it's always just another malfunction. So after a while, you stop answering your phone because it's a waste of time. We experience malfunctions several times in a month.
Right now, I've got an additional panel in my master bedroom on the second floor, which is necessary because if somebody's breaking in in the middle of the night and I wanna hit the panic button, I need it to be up there. I'm not gonna run downstairs where the intruder is. But that panel doesn't work. They've told me it's because there's too much space between it and the main panel.
They said, "For $150, we'll come out and we'll move it for you." I don't wanna pay $150 for something that they should have told me in the beginning. And if it's not in my bedroom, there's no point in having a second panel. It's not like I have a mansion. I only have a 2,600 square-foot house. It's ridiculous that just that much space between panels means the other one is not gonna work. So, I've got a bright red message on, all night long, shining in my face. I have to sleep with the sleep mask on because I can't get the Air Message to turn off. At some point, I'm gonna have to just disconnect it and patch the hole that it leaves behind.
Also, the last time I called to have the security camera and the dimmer switch disconnected and had the window sensors looked at. They said that if I did both, they should disconnect the other things remotely but that's a $25 fee. I thought that's ridiculous. And another $25 for the window sensors. But if they just place that order right now, they'll just charge me one $25 fee to have a tech sent out and they will get this stuff disconnected from me. So I said, "Okay, do that." And then I still ended up getting two bills for $25. I had to call and tell them that. And they're going, "Okay. Well, let's look at our notes here. Well, there's nothing in the notes." And I'm like, "Well, that just means she doesn't take good notes."
Then, I noticed later when I was trying to open up the phone app and see if my door was locked or unlocked, I couldn't. So then I asked what happened there and they said, "Oh. Well, you had us disconnect it." They said that I wanted to disconnect the Z-Wave. I don't even know what a Z-Wave is. So, I never asked for the Z-Wave to be disconnected because those words have never uttered by my lips. So it's just one thing after another and I had to pay almost $1,300 to get out of my contract.
Then the guy who came out for the window sensors, just looked around. I don't know what they did, it didn't fix anything. Then a few weeks ago, the guy replaced all of them and he admitted to me that all the window sensors I had never worked. In fact, they recalled all of them, and they told the guy to stop using them. Everything that they had in stock, they had to ship back to Guardian. But I still got charged. They knew that they had installed a faulty product, and they came out and replaced it. So, I replaced all of them with new ones and so far, so good.

Compared to my previous security system Digital Life, Guardian has been horrible. Before, I had everything. I had cameras, a door keypad where we could turn the system on electronically and so many different features. Plus, Digital Life's system was cheaper. Guardian's system doesn't compare to theirs. With Guardian, I did not have any contact and the only thing that their rep did was have our system put in for grounding in order for them to put Guardian's system inside. They never once talked about the security system, discussed cameras and keypads or any of the good stuff we wanted. Though before installation, they went over how many outlets would get, we never had that sales pitch on upgrading with cameras and everything. When we finally got our house, Guardian's rep came out and installed our garage door and all the sensors for us. He went over everything including how to use the app which was pretty cool. However, nothing happened from there.
Currently, we have the app which my wife uses for turning the alarm, heat, and air on and off. Everything besides that has been pretty basic. With our previous company, we had a lot of cool things going on. My wife was doing research and she noticed that Guardian was giving all new customers great deals on cameras and thermostats. My wife asked if we could be eligible for the new customer program because we never got any of those offers. However, Guardian said no because we were already customers.
If Digital Life services our area in Delaware where we live now, we would go back to them 100%. We’re probably looking at canceling with Guardian ‘cause we just got the basic package and it seems like they can’t help us do anything. With our Guardian system, anybody can break into our house. We had a trampoline in our backyard and it wound up in our front yard. We believe someone tried to steal the trampoline and actually broke it in half which is why we are really trying to get cameras.
Guardian needs to have a better experience for customers, especially new construction ones. If I didn't get my house constructed, I probably would have gotten a better deal. Their reps would have come out to my house and I would have been able to pick out what I wanted. But because my house is new construction, they had to do a different way, and I didn't get the full units of the new product. We’ve been in our house for a year now, and we’ve been paying our bills on time every month and yet I feel we haven’t gotten that good customer experience that every other customer has gotten.

Guardian Protection Services offered me a deal and I've been happy with them ever since. My system has always done well for me. If anything is wrong with it or if it does something that it doesn't need to be doing, Guardian's people are always right there to help me with it. They come out to help. With it, I feel completely secure. We set our system every night.

Before it was switched, the rep some kind of took advantage of me because they were some kind of busy, and I felt like he was from the different company from my current alarm company, but it was not. The old equipment from the previous alarm carrier company was still the same. It seemed like we replaced the big panel, and he left. And since it was old, I settled to have to replace the batteries. I don't like that because I’m a new customer, like a little more than a year, and I'm replacing very expensive batteries. Also, I don't like the whole equipment.
Also, I know that if I will come in the beginning like in the first, I will be having more discount. Because right now, including the tax, I pay 45 bucks. Some of my friends did some lock-ins, but unfortunately, I cannot break it right now without the cancellation fee because he stuck with me with 60 months. So, obviously, I’m not happy with Guardian. I would like to have a big discount on the price as well. I don’t want to pay like 45 bucks if it’s everybody that can do exactly the same for less money.
If my front door is open, or like opening, I have an announcement. Sometimes, it’s annoying. It’s sometimes annoying to maybe announce it like I’m the queen or king of the world. On the other hand, it’s nicer to have it, and also you can see if there’s someone coming and I am in the house, and I know that there’s an announcement, that is good. I like that part. So, on one part, it’s good, and on one it is the same and it is not good. And so far, I’m lucky that we didn't have any breakage in the house. If you want to have it, go have it. And I cannot say that they are perfect or that they are totally bad. If you switch from one company to another, just make sure that they get them to replace all your equipment.

When we had the house built, our builders referred us to Guardian Protection Services. The system was wired before we moved in. And although I don’t use it often enough, it seems to work well. Our interactions with their reps have been quite good whenever we needed them. There have been some occasions when there was a fire alarm and they called. That went well.

Guardian was true to their word towards efforts to help resolve this issue. I received a call from a Representative of the Collections Department today. She informed that our concerns had been researched and they concur that we experienced far too many problems with the installed system and that we were not treated fairly when the file was forwarded to an agency for collection. Guardian noted that we had been excellent customers and confirmed that we only had five (5) remaining months in a 5 year contract.
As a former customer of Guardian Protection Services, I would like it known that it is now understood that Guardian did not enter into the agreement with us fraudulently; instead it was Eagle Alarm who was the authorized dealer at the time. Guardian informed that our record at the collection agency will be deleted. We are pleased with this resolution and highly recommend Guardian Protection for your security needs.

Initially, we were very happy with the installed system; but began experiencing problems in the 3rd year. We were awakened with the sound of a loud alarm going off within the control panel. We spoke with a Tech who walked us through the process of disarming the system to end the noise. The Tech offered to send a service person to our home to check the system out; but, it was our understanding that there would be a charge to us. We were already paying monthly installment fees of approximately $48.50. We declined the service call.
I began calling Guardian to inform we would not renew services after the contract ended; but they informed it would not end until after 5 years. We had been told it was a three year contract; but we continued monthly payments. When we had exactly 5 months remaining before the end of the 5 year contract, the system began making loud shrilling noises again. Guardian helped us disarm it to stop this terrible noise and again offered to send someone out to our home. We told them that we no longer wanted the service and offered to return the system. We were informed that the system, now, belonged to us; therefore, we uninstalled it in our home and discontinued payments. We felt justified in doing so.
Just last week, we received a call from a former Guardian employee named Shane, who originally installed our system. He offered us service with the company with whom he is now employed (We declined). He explained he no longer works at Guardian because the company is not trustworthy. He further explained that our contract said 5 years on the paperwork; but, he was told to mark through that and write that it would only be a 3 year contract. I explained that I no longer had a copy of my contract and asked if he could send a copy. He could not as he no longer works at Guardian; but confirmed that many people thought they were under a 5 year contract, but it should have been 3 years.
Now, Guardian has sent this to the credit reporting agencies who confirm that our previous credit score of 790 has decreased 95 points. I will dispute their findings of credit unworthiness because it is not fair and is not true. Please be ware if you are considering Guardian Protection Services for your home's security. Read your contract carefully.

I had a different home security system in the past and the system of Guardian Protection Services is better. I needed some more hook-up in my house but it would be more money to do that. The representatives of Guardian who helped me were good. They gave me good facts and told me some things about how the system works and how to operate it. It took me an hour to install the Guardian system because I had to take the old system out and put the new one in. But I didn't get enough sensors and I'd rather have some more. I got one more sensor that I need to get on one of my doors, but I want to see how I can get some more things done on two of my windows. Nonetheless, the new Guardian system is good.

For my mother's birthday, we had two storm doors put up at the front and back of our house. We also got two locks on both doors plus alarms. While a lot of stuff needs to be taken care of involving maintenance, such as when I had to go get a battery, everything has been going okay. Guardian also wanted me to watch a video on how to change the battery in the sensors area. Even so, their rep did well.

Guardian Can’t Coordinate with their Repair Services. I reported a faulty door alarm 3/13. I scheduled a technician for 4/3. Technician never showed & never called. I complained & rescheduled again 4/10 & 4/22. Technician was a no show and no call each time. Repair service never ever attempted to call, apologize, nothing! Guardian informed me the repair service always listed a four hour window they’d arrive so I took 5hrs off work each time! After the 3rd complaint I was asked by Guardian to call & schedule with the repair service myself and that the repair might cost me! The repair service is Security Force Job # **. It’s 4/26 & I’m still without a functioning system but they continue to take my money. I’m shopping for a better option.

Although the installation went well, it took a long time for Guardian Protection Services to do it. It took around four hours. Also, I have noticed that a panel is loose on one corner. But, other than that, I love the system. It's perfect because when we go away, I arm it. When I go to bed at night and I set it, I feel safer with it. Also, I can actually look at the thermostat because it's a Nest. I also have a Nest camera in my window which I can access through my phone. Plus, the quality of the equipment is very good.

We have had a couple of attempted break-ins. I happened to be at a show at a Fairground in Indianapolis with my wife and we were looking for log homes, but I came across a gentleman and we talked about alarm systems a bit. It made a lot of sense, so we set up to have Guardian Protection Services installed. The installation experience with Guardian went great. The gentleman that came out explained everything really well, in terms that we could understand, too. He was thorough and quick and he thanked us for going with Guardian. It was a good experience. Whenever I leave, I turn the alarm on. However, sometimes, the response is not always as quick as I think it should be if it is a false alarm. The backdoor is armed and I get there plenty of times, but there are times when it has been longer and Guardian is not responding. It is very rare, but it has happened. However, rarely doesn’t mean it is good.

We got Guardian Protection Services and we've been having problems ever since we've been in the house with the camera. It's kinda early on though because we hadn't been in the house a year. The community is new. So some of the wires have been mixed up with all the houses. That got all straightened out. But the camera's not working. So they need to come out here. Every time we call to try to get some help, they try to say it's the cable company. But the cable company has evidence showing that that's not the truth and that the internet's been working. We're paying for that alarm and we're not getting the service.
The customer service team do their part to try to get people to help us. But nothing's resolved. My husband had scheduled an appointment and we were there. He took off from his job and was waiting. They thought it was the next day. So we're not pleased and we're looking to see if we can get something else. We also thought we were gonna have a doorbell feature where we can see. But it didn't match up to the house. We have a hard door and you can't put like a peephole in there. We went with them because we thought we can have that and we don't even have that. But they did refund our money when they realized they couldn't do it.

Guardian's tech replaced my system when it was too old and couldn't be fixed. He was very professional, got it done timely and he had all the equipment. Their reps have always been helpful in checking to make sure my alarm is working. They have been very friendly on the phone and help me with any issues I have. With my Guardian system, I feel very secure. They’re a very good company and they're very alert.

When the person came to the door they led me to believe that they were updating our services with ADT. It wasn't until they came in, sat down and started talking about it that they explained that they were not affiliated with ADT at all. I didn't like that. That was years ago. But since they guaranteed a cheaper rate for five years we changed.
The code for smoke was forgotten by a member of our household. So it had to be called in with Guardian and it worked out fine. However, when we leave the backdoor open because we want fresh air, it's really aggravating when it keeps telling me that the backdoor is open. I disarm it and I put in the code and it quiets itself down. In about 20 minutes, it does the same thing. And that, I don't like as well.
The features are also a little confusing for me to use and I have to keep referring back to instructions. It's very sensitive, especially when it comes to smoke. We cook constantly, and if there's any amount of smoke it directly comes across from the stove at 15 feet. The alarm goes off the slightest amount. I have to put in the code and one time we got about five calls. I said, "Look, can't you put in there that there is no fire. We are at home and we are cooking with no fire. Will you please put it in there that you don't have to call us anymore?" It was different people calling each time.

We decided to get protection and we contacted two companies, one of which was Guardian. The other company, however, didn't have their facts together. They had two people working on, and then all of a sudden, I got calls from 5 or 6 different people. So, it was too confusing. We like Guardian's package and we went with them. We wanted a basic package, and that's what they provided us with, but we also got a few extras. We're satisfied with the package we got. The installation went smoothly, although we had one problem. One of the sensors fell off after the tech left, so we called them and they had somebody here within a couple of hours. Their customer service has been excellent too. My wife has been doing the calling and she says she has got a quick response on any call that she has made. I would certainly recommend Guardian to anybody who's interested in a security system.

Guardian Protection Services respond quickly by text but they don’t have a human call me like ADT did. When ADT was my security system, the one time that a door blew open because it wasn’t locked and I wasn’t at home they called me and said they called the police. But the police never showed up. Also Guardian is cheaper than ADT. I had a battery go out on a detector and customer service had to schedule a guy to come out. I had it remove because I bought a new furnace and they installed another carbon monoxide detector as part of the furnace that I bought and it was within 3 feet of the detector that I had to change a battery in. I told them just go ahead and take it out because I didn’t need it. I had it done by a local company that works with Guardian and the service guy was fine.

Guardian Protection Services was at the area where we purchased our new home. The salesman was there and we signed up with them as the house was being built. The tech came over for the installation and he was very knowledgeable, very polite, clean, and neat. I am very satisfied. However, one time, I had a problem with the button that was not working. It was just a button when you open and close the door. The system was less than a year old and the rep was telling me that I had to pay to have it repaired. I told her that I didn’t think that it was right. She looked up and came back and said that they would fix it for me for free. I watched the tech install it and he connected a wire to it, and that was it. Other than that, everything has been fine and I will definitely wanna upgrade things. We are not there at the house all the time, but I feel very secure since having Guardian Protection Services in our home. I would definitely recommend them.

I had another home security system and the person who sold me the system went to Guardian Protection Services. I had issues with the service guy who came out. He wouldn't do the job. He went out on the phone out there and I called from the phone in here. He came back in to finish it because I was inside finishing the job, but he walked off and left. It was a crazy situation. Guardian had people come out and they straightened it all out, so things are fine now. The last guy that came to do the service call to check on something for me was outstanding. If anybody ever comes out again, I would prefer that person coming out again.

Pricing was the big thing I considered in choosing Guardian. I also had to install the system myself, and I didn’t want one of those units that had a lot of stuff that was gonna be monitored like what Guardian had to offer. We also use the system manually, rather than doing anything with the app, but I'm very pleased with the performance. I travel quite a bit so the system gives me peace of mind to know what's going on at the house when my wife is by herself or if we're not there and someone else is coming in. We've got a couple of cats too, and I can tell if somebody's been there to look after them.
If we’ve had an alarm tripped, Guardian has always been right there as well. We always get a call right away and we've always been very pleased with what we've received. The gentleman in our area has also come out and done some work for us. He installed the unit and made some adjustment. And he has been very professional and helpful. As far as customer service, he's always been very responsive if there's been a problem.

A Guardian representative was at my mother’s house and he started talking with my mother. We weren’t sure of what was going on, so I went over there to talk with the fellow. We liked what he had to say, how he approached it, and what he had to offer. He signed my mother up, and consequently, signed my sister and myself up all at the same time. I was with another security company but I switched. It was nice to have the fobs to all of our homes keyed so we would have the capability of entering each other's homes using the key fob, and it was a really major thing for us to be able to do that.
During the installation, the technician did an outstanding job and we really enjoyed his company. He was very professional, friendly, and neat. He seemed like an all-around, nice kid and he was so cooperative. It didn’t take very long to transition what we had into our homes. In order to key all of our fobs together, he had to go from one house to the next and then to the next, and then we were good to go. It was unbelievable. Guardian is very good, consistent, and really aware of keeping the cost down. I would recommend them.

I work for a home builder that uses Guardian and so I also got Guardian as my home security system. Their reps provided good service and they were very good at explaining everything to me. The installers did great work too. They were quick, on time, and in and out. Moreover, I like the smartphone feature of the system and it's very convenient. Overall, the equipment is of good quality. However, one frustrating thing is that my video doorbell doesn't work sometimes and I don't hear it. I live in a three-story townhouse and so my router isn't close enough to the doorbell.
I contacted Guardian about the doorbell and they said they were gonna charge $80 to come back out. I only had the doorbell for maybe 4 months when I first called them so I didn’t feel like I should have to pay that. They were saying that it is my equipment now so it is my responsibility, and I did not like that. The fact that it is new, then it should work. They said that I may need to add another router and I just haven't messed with it since. Other than that, their service has been good. I've accidentally set off my alarms several times and they always call right away.

I like the whole modernization of the Guardian app wherein I'm able to control the alarm and everything else with their smart system. When I first moved in, I was tripping the alarm a lot and was getting calls from the folks at the alarm center. Their representatives' response times were spot on and decent. They were good with either calling my cellphone and/or reaching out to the call box in the house. So far, the experience with Guardian has been good and I feel 100% secure having their system.

I had a contract with Guardian for their security service in my new home I purchased in November 2015. I lived in the house for approximately three years before I went through a divorce and had to sell my house. Upon selling the house, I told Guardian that I needed to cancel my service. They told me that I cannot cancel the service and that I had to pay for their service throughout the length of the contract, regardless of whether or not I can use the service. They told me the only way out of the contract was for me to convince the new homeowner to continue to use Guardian at that location.
After paying for Guardian for 9 months after I sold the house, I finally quit paying the over $40 monthly fee. I called them again and told them how unfair I thought it was for them to keep charging me for a service they were not providing to me. I was told that I had signed the contract and I was liable to pay for 5 years, regardless of whether I could use it or not. I told the customer service representative that it seemed like legalized robbery to me that they can continue to charge. He told me that it was not Guardian's fault that I got divorced and I need to pay my obligations. I understand that when you contract that it can bind you legally, but the reality is that I'm just giving them money for nothing and they refuse to cut me a break and let me end the contract. The customer service rep told me that Guardian intends to collect every penny of that contract.

I love Guardian. They're the best. We’ve been with them for over 20 years, and we stuck with them because they’re always watching over us when we have the alarm on, and the prices are awesome. Every time I’ve talked to their customer service, they’ve been responsive, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They’re also very easy to contact. Sometimes, they answer before the phone rings on their end. That’s how efficient they are.
Our equipment has worked flawlessly for the 20 years that we’ve been in this home, and it worked flawlessly when I was in my previous home. They came and they just re-hooked it up when we got here at this house. I kept the same equipment, and it was fine. In fact, I have no issues. I’ve set it off myself more times than the home invaders have. Guardian calls us first. And from that, we do our little password thing, and then, we go to the police if there’s nobody answering. And that only happened one time because I left, and I didn't have a cellphone at the time. So, they just sent the police, and there were cops everywhere, so it was good. I was more than pleased. I’d recommend Guardian to anybody who wanted to use it. You can’t go wrong with Guardian. They are there all the time.

Guardian is a good system and it’s good for its price point. I’m satisfied with it. I kinda got grandfathered into it when I bought a new house. A builder suggested Guardian so they did all the wiring, and they made it real neat and efficient. That was definitely a plus too. So that was good. In terms of the system, it is efficient and responsive. I can also access it on my phone and the smartphone features are helpful, direct and user-friendly. It’s all good. I’m happy. The system works and I feel confident going away. I can monitor my house and make sure that no one’s in there. The system has had a little glitch every now and then but these guys have been pretty decent in responding and fixing the issues. So I've had no issues with them. They’re good with customer service.

Guardian Protection Services was really excellent. I liked everything about it. My wife developed dementia and she would set off the alarm. I didn't know what she set the alarm for, but Guardian was right on it, calling me, letting me know there was a problem or asking if there was a problem. The response time was very good, and they have been very diligent. What I didn't like about them, however, is that, sometimes, you had to go through all this baloney. Too many questions sometimes, but I can understand. In today's climate, they wanna make sure that they are actually indeed speaking to somebody that knows. And it is really on it. Hopefully, the lady who bought the house is gonna go with them.

We'd bought a new house and Guardian advertised here. It's a basic system that works and I'm very happy with it. If a door opens or even by any error, it goes on. I had an issue with a dead battery and I had to call and get it replaced, and they were fine. They mailed it to me and I replaced it.

I had ADT but when their price went up, I went with Guardian and my experience with them has been good. Their rep told us the truth about it. When the system was installed, he didn't have to change too much and it was all right. But at first, just a little bit of smoke in the kitchen would set the system off. But it's a good system. We like Guardian.

Guardian was in the house when I bought it, and I had a hard time getting to the people I needed to, to get it transferred from the previous owner to myself. But they came out for training and it was fine. The system is well-equipped and I'm happy with what's already here. I can disarm it from my phone and I can pull up their app and alarm it or disarm it.

Guardian Protection Service is a little expensive for the $55 a month, but the system is easy to use. And their reps were helpful. If we're having problems, they schedule a service and it seems to go okay. Our battery needs to be replaced at one point 'cause we're getting a lot of false alarms and they get us the replacement on the same day. With Guardian Protection, I feel better protected than without it.

Signed contract for basic service with Guardian Protection Service in 2015. I moved in March 2019 and wanted to cancel my service. I assumed I was no longer a contractual obligation. Unbeknownst to me (READ THE FINE PRINT) I am under contract until AUGUST 2020! In order to continue the security service that I auto-pay every month $46.95 I will have to pay $399 to install the equipment. Mind you, if I agree to another 60 month contract, they will install the equipment for $99. I will NOT obligate myself for another FIVE YEARS. Every person I spoke to at Guardian was RUDE! A company that is unwilling to make any exceptions is a company that I will no longer do business with.
As a 63 year old retired person, you would think a company would take into consideration the amount of money that I have already paid them and would be willing to extend the $99 installation for the remaining 16 months on my contract, but they are not willing to make any exceptions. I offered to extend to a 24 month timeframe, but they refused to extend the $99 installation to a dedicated four-year customer!! They still insist I pay $299 for installation.
Based on principle alone, I will not pay them $299 installation when they are eager to install for $99 if I commit to another five years. So I will have no other option than to continue to pay this “security” company $46.95 a month for NOTHING. No security system because I refuse to extend another five year contract and I can not afford the ridiculous amount they charge for installation if you don’t sign a new contract. Please READ THE FINE PRINT! Make sure you know the contract terms and what happens when you move!!! Total ripoff. Guardian Home Protection will do NOTHING but take my money for the next 16 months.

Initially, I had some problems with the Guardian system. It wouldn’t set sometimes, but after four problems, it had been rectified and it has not been a problem for the past year. Anybody that came out to my townhouse was wonderful. They were very polite and understanding. Plus, they were very clear in what had to be done. There were difficulties with some of the phone-in information initially, but within the last year, everything seems to have been working fine whenever I’ve contacted anybody.
I usually set the alarm when we’re going on a vacation, short or long. But when I set the alarm code, it wouldn’t accept the code for whatever reason. And when I tried the suggestions that were on the phone, it would say they'd call me back within half an hour. I don’t have half an hour to wait for a response. But this has been rectified within the last year as well.

I’ve been with Guardian Protection Services for about 20 years now and the cost is competitive with everybody else. I like that they've been reliable and easy to work with. I had to call the Guardian Protection team to get the bugs out when I changed systems.

I have been a customer with SFI/Guardian for over 3 1/2 years. This is the first time I've had any problems with them with my alarms being set off (unless self error). However, two nights ago the security alarms went off at 5:22 am, meanwhile my phone was ringing from Guardian to tell me the keypad tampered alarm was set off. I was sound asleep and the control panel for system is in another room. As I was walking to the control panel the motion alarm went off too. I did not set the motion detect alarm before I went to bed. The worst was, I could not disarm the system from the keypad as it was flashing the number 6 and my password could not be keyed in, therefore I used my key fob to stop the alarm. That stopped it, however, then it started to arm itself again. This went on for about 10 minutes.
I was talking to Guardian technician that instructed me how to take off panel. Disconnect the battery then to unplug from the electrical outlet, in the meantime still had to keep using the key fob to stop all the alarms from arming. After all this, a serviceman was sent and tested everything. Mind you, a day later and told me everyone was fine. Now I'm paying for a useless service call and the problem will not be repaired, unless I want to pay $220 for new panel. Can not describe in non swear words how angry this makes me. After setting alarms at bedtime, I now lay awake at night wondering when the next episode of alarms deciding to arm themselves. Thanks Guardian for peace of mind.

Guardian Protection Services was the company that the builder suggested when we were moving in and we have been with them for seven years now. Every now and then, we'd accidentally forget to turn off the alarm when we let the pet out in the morning and I'd get a phone call saying that somebody set the alarm off. I'd explain what happened and they'd correct it.
One time when we were out of town, the alarm went off and they sent the police out because nobody answered the phone when they called us. But everything was rectified. The police didn’t find anything and they couldn’t show any reason why the alarm had been set off, although we figured out what happened when we got home. We’ve had the system the whole time that we’ve been here in this house and so far, we haven’t had any problems. And when we spoke with Guardian's reps when we had something that had been set off, they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and very courteous.

Prior to using Guardian, I used ADT. Guardian is much better because I have access online and I can see the camera online, which we don't have with ADT. I've had Guardian since August when we bought the house. During the installation, the technician was very kind and explained everything to me so that way, I could use a laptop to get everything and also to download the app on the phone. Everything has been outstanding right now. In the future, I would like to be able to have the remote thermostat from far away, so I could change the temperature of the AC via the phone. I feel very good knowing that I have the security system installed.

I like Guardian way better than ADT. Guardian's customer service team sounds like they care. They’re always professional and courteous. They always help, and there is always someone there to answer the phone. The salespeople are trying to make you happy, and not trying to sell something on commission. They’re not pushy. They offered the product that they had, and they gave me the best price. They worked with me, and I like them very much. But they should advertise more because I don’t think enough people know about Guardian as a protection service. The installation was easy. I already had Guardian in the house when I moved there, and we upgraded it. I had a technician come out and do it, and they're very much appreciated.

I’ve had this for three years and it probably got a little bit better last year. But in the beginning, it was very hard dealing with them. It was ridiculous, even when trying to get someone that could help. Even with what I purchased, they didn’t know I was gonna need somebody in California and then there would be calling the manager. It was horrible. Everything finally got taken care of but I had to dish out extra money and that was another thing. It seemed like there were always fees attached to something even though I was paying the monthly fee already.
For some reason, because I had purchased the house, all of a sudden, I couldn't keep the same camera that I had. Everything needed to be upgraded. But the previous owner told me he had switched them a year ago. So it was like Guardian was getting the previous owner to do whatever they could to get extra money at the time. It was very frustrating. The main box also had to be updated again and they charged me for it. It kept giving me all these error codes and beeping, and Guardian said this one was old and that they didn't use it anymore. They told me I was gonna have to move to the new one. They told me they would charge me $50 and if not, the old one was gonna keep beeping. I was like, "All night long?" What did they expect me to do? I told them to go ahead and paid the $50. But they're the ones who keep updating the system. Why was I having to pay for it?
A couple of weeks ago, a battery was low and they were trying to tell me on the phone where to look. I was looking but I was like, “There’s no place to place a battery. What are you saying?” So they had to send someone out and that was a service call, which automatically costs $25. Then when they got there, they said the unit was old, that they didn't use it anymore and that they would have to give me something newer. The battery was $50 and for them to replace the sensor part that they now use, it all came out to about $125, just for a battery change. Yesterday, another battery went off but I’m not paying $125 for a battery.
The app is decent but for what I’m paying, the service is not worth it. There’s not a lot to choose from either. If I want to add something on, it’s priced in the thousands. It’s like $800 if I want to add a camera. Guardian is really just a nickel-and-dime type of a business. I wish I had not done a five-year contract but I didn’t know. So I still have two years to deal with them because you can’t break the contract or you have to pay so many hundreds of dollars or finish paying the rest of your contract. But I will never do that again.

Guardian came and solicited us and we felt comfortable with them at the time. The sales representative who came to our home was typical and was very positive and outgoing about his product. I also liked their technicians. They have come out once or twice for an issue and one time for an add-on feature. The features offered in the system are sufficient. They are not cutting-edge technology, but they do what we want without being overly intrusive. We have extra sensors for low temperature and sewer back-up, so it is nice when you are away for a couple of days and in case you have a flood or you lose power, you will know that there is a problem ahead of time. The system works really well for us. It is simple and reliable, so that is what it comes to and I don't wanna have to worry about it so much. I've also had a really good, positive experience with their customer service.

I’ve been using Guardian Protection Services for around three years and just this last winter, I took the door sensor off, dropped it and one piece came apart. I couldn't put it back together and to make sure that I did get it put back on the door correctly, I called Guardian and they send a tech out to put it back on for us. While he was here, he thought he called Guardian, the main office where they can shut off any detection. While he was working on it, Guardian got a call that the back door was being tampered with, so they called 911. Then, 911 called me and I explained to them what was going on and just a couple of minutes later, an officer came to the house to make sure everything was okay which I assured him it was. I was impressed with the quick response. I would totally recommend Guardian Protection Services. I know that I can rely on them.

The builder who built my home said that they were working with Guardian Protection Services. They also said that Guardian did home security along with some home audio, like built-in speakers, and cameras on the outside of the home. As far as the audio goes, the surround sound is great. But, as far as some of the security equipment that I have, the camera at the front door and the lock that you can use through an app, I am not really happy with that. The quality looks nice, but the door lock doesn't work with the app. I've had several people out here and had charged me for them coming out to look at it, but it still does not work properly. As far as the app locking and unlocking the door, it says it is not locked sometimes when I lock it myself. Even after they send the tech out, it still wasn't working right, so they wanted me to log in and out of the app all the time to reset it, although I don't think I should have to do that.
At this point, Guardian told me it is up to me to replace the lock and that it wouldn't be connected to the Guardian system after that. The reps at Guardian have been very professional, friendly, and helpful on the phone when I have called them, although some issues that I have had haven't been resolved and probably won't be resolved because my year is up, I'm out of my warranty. I had a year and I am still having some issues with some of the pieces that I got from them and now, it is up to me to fix or replace them. They really didn't do anything to it.
When I bought the home and Guardian was suggested through the builder, they gave us a five-year contract, which was a long time. In addition to that, if some of the equipment stops working, I am really not getting the benefit of all the things that I purchased. I look at some of the other homes around here and they have a lot of cameras. Everybody has the doorbell camera and the lock that you can control with the app because those things were standard. I am going to be changing my lock and my doorbell camera and it will not be connected to Guardian. I am paying them for a service that I am not gonna be able to use.

We built a home in a new development and Guardian was offering a special deal at the time. My interactions with sales and customer service reps have been all good. Installing the system was quick and professional. I could have taken advantage of some additional services, but I'm very happy with everything so far. My experience with Guardian has been very good. We've had it for 18 years now. Both my wife and I are glad to have it. We could’ve switched many times, but we’re happy with our service.

I have tried to cancel my service understanding that I have to pay through my co tract date. I would like to pay lump sum for the time I have left to cancel. 5 months x my monthly fee. I am being told that if I cancel, I have to pay a $750 early cancellation fee. I am asking to pay off what is owed. They are already not monitoring my property. I can’t you defeat and why I can’t pay off what I owe to complete the contract and cancel.

I have subscribed to this company for years. The service is great and they have great customer service, something that is hard to find these days. They will work with you and hadn't gone up in price in years. I had called ADT when I moved here and their prices were just ridiculous.

It's been almost 3 yrs since we were contracted into automatic payments from our bank. They have been out to our house 12 times in 3 yrs to fix our video and night systems. It would work then it wouldn't. I'm so stressed out and upset over this. Then they came out to try to fix it and charged me 560.00 to fix their system that didn't work and still doesn't, it works for a day or a week. They said it's internet problems. So there's 5 months left so we decided to FINALLY get rid of all the aggravation and they charged us all 5 months plus cancellation fee and the 590.00 for a service charge that didn't fix anything. So we ended up paying almost 1000.00 dollars to cancel a service that for 3 yrs hardly ever worked. So if you feel like spending a boatload of money and aggravation with very rude, ignorant, and disrespectful company the choice is yours. Good Luck!!

I have been using Guardian Protection services for few years. I wanted to upgrade the system but they are trying to charge me more than the device work for a monthly payment. As per my conversation just go with more advance system like RING (now bought by Amazon) to do more customization. Customer service is pretty awesome and not always after money or monthly payment. $10 month for 24x7 professional monitoring. I tested it for a months and very satisfied. Just don't pay $48 plus to Guardian. Totally not worth it.

Guardian Protection Services came to offer me the one special that they used to have at that moment and I decided to go with them. One time, they checked the equipment and they sent a technician. I had a very bad experience. He called me that he was gonna be working on the alarm system because something was wrong at that moment. He was very lazy. It was 11:00 o’clock, he was still working and he was in a bad mood. He pulled the wires instead of cutting them and he damaged the wall on the garage. He almost fell on top of my BMW which was parked inside. He also moved something on the garage door and it was impossible for me to take my car out so I had to wait for my husband.
He was also working with a bad attitude and he was very rude with me. He damaged the wall on the garage and the wall in my room because he was trying to change the sensors for wireless and he was pulling everything. He put a new sensor in the front door and he made an ugly, huge hole through the door. He damaged the frame of the door and I called and complained about it. Guardian told me that whenever I’m ready, they’re gonna send somebody and that I’m gonna be happy with the service because they’re gonna try to fix it. I’m not ready yet, but I’m thinking and will let them know. They’re gonna do it wireless too, so that way, it’s not gonna be attached to the new frame of the door because I don’t want that to happen again. Other than that, I don’t have complaints. The last time something was wrong and they came over, I told them I fixed it and he was very nice with me.

When we bought our house, we met with somebody in Holland Mills as well as one of the Guardian people. They went over all the different stuff Guardian had to offer and we told the Guardian rep what we wanted. All of that was put in here and we pay 39.95 a month for the service. Every time we’ve called Guardian, they’ve helped us on the phone different times. The last time we got down, we tried everything and then they sent me over a person. He came out here and he fixed it right away. Having the system is good and I could push if I needed a medical, police, or fire. Also, knowing that it’s there and there's a little sign out front, it’s double protection for us. I’d recommend Guardian to anybody.
