My sister told me about Guardian Protection Services and that I shouldn't go with ADT. They had problems with ADT and they switched to Guardian. With that, I Googled the best security companies and Guardian was very high up while ADT was very far at the bottom. That time, I already had an estimate on ADT and in fact had the whole nine yards from them. I was all prepared to go with them until my sister told me about Guardian.
So I called Guardian for an estimate. Guardian was supposed to come out on a certain day. However, the sales rep called me to move the appointment. Either they had her overscheduled or that time didn't work for her. She came the next day and told me about the system and signed me up right then and there. I let her know my only reservation about going with Guardian was that it was completely wireless and we had very bad cell service in my neighborhood. She assured me that bad cell service is never a problem because they run off a different signal, and the panel that I was getting was supposed to look like an iPad. She showed me a picture of what it looked like. Apparently, they don't even have that, and no one has ever seen it. I don't know why it's on their brochure.
When the installer came and he couldn't find the cell signal, he put holes in my wall and he still couldn't get a signal. He was supposed to be here at 9:00 to 12:00 as what the sales rep told me. I couldn't take my kids to their pediatrician appointment, and I was a half an hour wait for work at five o'clock at night because he was here from 9:00 in the morning till 5:00 in the afternoon. He still couldn't get the service. So, he had to come back a couple of days later and relocate the entire panel.
So the installer was phenomenal, wonderful. The installation, however, was disastrous because the sales rep didn't do her job properly. She told me the wrong thing. And when I called their rep when I needed her, she never responded. They offered me two months of free service, though, because of what had happened, but overall, the sales experience was not overly pleasant.

I am very dissatisfied with this system and have been from day one. It was very expensive and it is very hard to use. When I call customer service for technical support they don't even know how to fix it. When the system was installed Guardian subcontracted the job to two young guys who did a sloppy job, left a mess for us to clean up and only one of them did the work and the other one goofed off. I leased this system and have another year to finish paying for it and it was the biggest mistake I ever made buying this system.

I've had a Guardian device for years. John falls more than I do. He’s got a wristband for medical help and I'm supposed to get one next week. We also have a fire alarm and a motion detector. Overall, we like Guardian's service so far.

Our service package includes the little thing that tells me when the door is being opened, two key fobs and a medical alert that could either be on my wrist or around my neck. The installer was very polite and efficient. He stayed until he got all things done and was here for more than three hours. He was in communication with someone at his office during that time. So, everything seemed to go smoothly. He showed us how to use things. We put in a passcode and he showed us how to set the alarm for "going away" and for "staying at home" at night.
However, before I moved to my new address, Guardian were supposed to come out and upgrade and they kept putting it off. Every time I would call, they would say they didn't have anybody in the area, and that wasn't my fault. When they finally sent the equipment for the upgrade, nobody called to verify that I had received anything and they still didn't say they were coming out. So, I finally ended up calling to find out what was going on. When they sent someone out to the address, they gave him the wrong phone number. So, evidently, he came to the house but because he had the wrong phone number, he couldn't contact me. Finally, we had communications and we set it up. The gentleman came on time and left when he said he was going to. He was very professional. But I would not recommend Guardian to anybody else because they didn't follow through.
Also, when they first came out, I was not under the impression that they were sending another group as their representative, and I was confused. When they explained things to me, I ended up paying more than I was already paying. I asked if they were going to take the system out of the house that I'm moving from and they said they would just upgrade into the new house. But when I went to the old house the other day, the alarm was still on. Now, I got to make sure that they're not charging me for two setups and I won't know that until I get my bill from my bank this month.

A Guardian salesman was in the area, and he came to my house and made all these promises. Then his supervisor came in and said, "It's not like this or that." I originally had two key panels in the house with ADT and I was told by Guardian that I was going to get two key panels. Now, they're saying one. At night, I have to go from my bedroom all the way across the house to where the garage door is to set up the alarm, which is ridiculous. I should have one in my bedroom and one by the garage like I was promised.
Also, the doorbell is installed but it's still not working, and neither is the garage door opener. According to the Guardian installer, he was going to come in today between 12:00 and 2:00. At 3:00 I called them and said I'd been here all day, and the installer said he didn't get his shipment. Meanwhile, I spent the whole day home waiting for him to come and replace all this equipment that doesn't work. I can't afford to have my house without the alarm. We're not pleased at all to the point that I want them to come and pick up their equipment and put my equipment back. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have the basic security system from Guardian. I can program my garage and set my alarm from my phone if I'm away from home. One guy installed it and he was cool and knowledgeable. He helped me understand it because it's my first time and he showed me on his phone how he worked his. So far, everything's going well and I'd recommend them.

My service package from Guardian Protection includes the security system and some internet wires going to the house. So far, no issues. Service is good. The technician that came out to set it up explained everything and was on time. They are also easy to work with and knowledgeable.

I just bought a house and the system from Guardian Protection Services was installed in it. It included one motion detector, window monitors, door monitors, and a garage door lift kit. I had another company that was going to come out and do these services for a cheaper price but when I talked to the Guardian liaison, she offered me the same package for a better price since it was already in the house. The one rep that I spoke with was very polite, outgoing, and friendly, and she wanted to get me the best deal possible.
An older gentleman came out for the system installation and he knew what he was doing. He was very quick and thorough and got everything set up. He also made sure that before he left, I had all the knowledge I needed to arm, disarm and activate the system. The service so far has been great and I'm very well satisfied. However, there's one thing I don't like about my system. When we're about to go to bed and we click “stay”, there’s this 60-second delay so we could turn it off or not. I'm fine with that but it has a beep that goes off every five seconds until that 60 seconds are up.

I had some issues with some paperwork from alarm brokers getting back to me but when I got a hold of somebody from the office, what they told me is usually they send out the paperwork on Mondays. I didn't know that and I had the system installed on a Monday. At any rate, I already got those documents. And all in all, the service and everything have been good. Guardian Protection's alarm system seems really easy to use and I have no issues. The whole experience so far has been great.

Guardian Protection Services was included in the house that we purchased. The service package has security and 24/7 professional monitoring. We need these features because of the neighborhood - people robbing and stealing. The technicians who came in put a new keypad up and redid a few sensors on the windows. He was excellent.

Guardian's sales rep was wonderful, very informative and explained everything. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. The installer was also great. He was all the things I want in someone who comes into my home to install something. I'm very satisfied so far but I have an app on my phone that's not working and I'll have to call them about that.

About a year ago, I could not do the actual system from Guardian because we were looking for a house. There were several times that they called me back but they weren’t bothering me. I just said they'd have to call me back and they would whenever they said they were going to. Then finally, we bought a house and they came out and set it up. The person who came was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I'm happy with the actual service of having the security system in the house. However, I'm a little disappointed in that I felt like I was misled about what actually came with my free system. If that can be resolved, I would recommend them to other people but if I can’t resolve the miscommunication or at least get an understanding of it, I probably would not recommend them to anybody else. They're good but slightly misleading.

We have the window break and Guardian is adding the smoke alarms to our service package. We got the glass break in case someone was trying to break in and the smoke detectors for Guardian to be notified faster. The sales rep was great, nice, and friendly and helped explain things really well. He showed me the panel and taught me how to keep it silent, how to add other codes in case we had a cleaning person, babysitters and kids. He also showed me what were plugged in the box, where the connectors were on the windows for the window break and how to download the app. He kind of walked through the app and the online service with me as well.

I signed up for Guardian Protection Services when they were doing a raffle and so far, I'm happy with their home security system. Any time that I've had a problem with it, like if I have to go reset my password, their reps walk me right through it and they’ve been pretty good with it. The installation team was real nice, too. Guardian appeared at my door and offered their services. I already had another service but they raised the rates on me without notifying me. So, I was in the process of looking for somebody new when Guardian appeared. The sales rep was very good because when he appeared at the door, he had no card on himself. The only thing he has was his badge. I questioned him very thoroughly because I had already been robbed once and I am very leery of people coming to my door who don't have a business card to tell me who they are associated with. So, I questioned him as to who he represented and told him I needed some paper to prove who he was trying to be. I ended up getting their house security and medical alert. The serviceman was very courteous and business-like. He just went about his business, got it all connected and showed me how to operate it. So far, it's been good.

My nephew Bryan and my son work for Guardian as sales reps, and they have kept in contact with me from day one. If I had any questions, they answered them and I'm very pleased with it. I wasn't here when the system was being installed, but from what I understand, the installer was pretty quick. He had it done within an hour and the tutorial that he gave on the system was very good.

The Guardian Protection Services system was already in our house when we bought it and we continued with it. The installation team came and it went very well. It took us a while to find the panel that we needed but that was more my fault than his, He was very efficient and gave me a really good demonstration on how everything worked. We moved from one home to another but instead of just taking the system with us we had take the 2 years we had left and add 3 more years making it a 5 year contract. If we didn't add the 3 additional years we would have had to pay a cancel fee that was thousands of dollars. This doesn't seem right. Now stuck with 22 more months at $42/month when ADT is $27.99/month. Was told it would be $1490.58 to break contract now or could add an addendum that would lower rate for 6 months (but then increase to $42 and still have the same 22 months left) but that doesn't help. Only further increases term by 6 months.

I work a lot and my wife stays at home most of the time so she wants to feel a little bit safe. When we moved in, Guardian Protection Services had people come out. We sat down and talked about our options. Their sales rep was never very pushy at any point. He kept it pretty professional so it’s pretty good. My wife oversaw the installation of their security system and everything was quick and easy.

My Guardian service package includes monitoring of all the doors and windows, regulation of all the thermostats and is supposed to have a remote garage door open entry access feature. However, the garage door is not working and one of the thermostats is not working. I've got a name and number for the tech, and I've notified them yesterday about it. We thought we fixed things but they're not. Their team seems nice but they got to get things fixed.

I got three door alarms and a motion sensor from Guardian Protection Services. I got two more buildings I want covered and I thought they would be in the package, but evidently it wasn't. The installation was all right. He was good, but he can go no further than the paper allowed him to, so I couldn't get him to do what I wanted him to do.

We purchased this house, which had Guardian Protection in the past. We go away a lot so we thought we should put the alarm system. We've had an alarm system in the past and we figured we should activate it. The sales gentleman from Guardian Protection was really nice. However we got lost in the shuffle when we signed the contract and then nobody contacted us for a couple of weeks after that. Finally, I called and asked when they are going to come and install the system. They were very prompt after that.
In the service package that we purchased we have the door alarms, the sliding glass door and the motion detector included. The installation was very good. The gentleman who came to install was very knowledgeable, took his time, and helped me. So, I was very pleased with it.

Guardian Protection Services was available in the home we're renting. And since it was already installed, my boyfriend just decided to update everything. We can use our phones to access it and it protects our front and back doors. So far, I like their services.

The previous homeowner of the house where we moved in had Guardian Protection Services. I decided that I'd take over it and got the service restored. The sales rep was pretty nice. He came in, re-hooked some wires and explained to me how it was going to work which was pretty much understandable. I am very satisfied.

Guardian Protection Services was less expensive. It's got the digital pads as well. I had the five sensors and the hall monitor already with my previous system. So they just basically adjusted and set the new receiver unit to my existing alarm sensors for all of my doors and the window. The installation took about an hour and a half. How to do everything was well explained. The first couple of days, in the middle of the night, the hall monitor would leave me a message on my phone that it had been disturbed even though the system was off. But after that, it's been fine.

I got Guardian's basic coverage where the windows, as well as the garage door, are wired. The sales rep was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Despite numerous time consuming inconveniently scheduled service trips, this system continues to malfunction on a weekly basis. If I don't see a service person every 10 days it's because the system ceased to function while we are out of town and we can't get back to see the service person. This system should be called Guardian Insecurity. No one at this company cares.

We got a package that included the windows, motion sensor, and the smoke alarm thing from Guardian Protection Services. The sales rep on the phone was really sweet and awesome so I liked her. She was personable and so we chit-chatted a little bit. Our installation guy, Shawn, was real nice. I just moved here from across the country--Louisiana to Ohio--and he had been to Louisiana a few times. Guardian is something that we wanted. We've only had it for a week or so but everything is good.

I looked into a bunch of security systems and a long time neighbor and friend who sold security systems told us how wonderful Guardian Protection Services was so we decided to go with them. We purchased a nice high-end two-way voice monitoring and call monitoring service. Their sales rep explained and answered all our questions and gave me some help with a few questions I had as a follow-up. He was really great as far as guiding me through the new maze of the alarm system. And, there were no hidden costs or fees. In fact, I was even a sensor short than I had planned. He covered it and told me about the monthly plan and it went really smooth.
The installation took a little longer though because the installer had to overhaul as far as getting the wire down the wall. It wasn't a standard framing so he had a little trouble with that but that wasn't his fault. And then there was a little bit of extra time he had for a programming error that he had to figure out, but he got it all done. He showed my wife and my two boys how to work the system which was pretty basic. He was great to deal with.

I bought a house which already had a Guardian Protection equipment installed on it and they got us in on it, so I kept the same service. There were a couple of people that came down before the system was installed. The first guy that came in did an inventory of all the equipment and wrote down everything on the ticket. The technician came down and installed it, but the first guy wrote down the wrong equipment on the ticket. The technician couldn’t figure out why it's not working, so he made a lot of phone calls to customer service and he did a lot of adjustments. It took about six hours to activate it. With that said, the technician and the salesperson need to communicate and synchronize the information, so they don’t encounter the same problem.

We bought a new house. I work sometimes overnight or out of town and my wife is off every other Friday and I wanted her to be safe. I looked at about three other companies and Guardian Protection Services has the best package. Plus Paul, the sales rep, was very detailed in explaining how the system works and what I was getting. It was straightforward and good to go. He had an assistant he was training and the two of them were very friendly. They didn't BS me at all. I told him what I liked and he came up with a good solution and a perfect system. I got two keypads, window breaks, and sensors on all my doors. I have very good customer satisfaction. The installer was very quick and thorough, too, with explaining how it worked. He's a really nice guy. I've also recommended Guardian to a couple of people.

I always need and have an alarm system at every place I moved to because it's more secure that way since I'm hardly ever home. I have a service package from Guardian and it's pretty good so far. I also have the alarm panels and the contact feature. I like the feature which enables me to arm and disarm my system through my phone, and then I get an email notifying me whether or not my alarm is armed or disarmed.
The sales representative was very informative, nice, and easy to get. He's the only person I know that has provided me with accurate information and has been finding what was suitable for me and what I need, rather than selling me more than what I need. For instance, some people try to sell me the option where I have to have cameras and other equipment that I do not need. But I already have cameras at home, so I do not need more of these. The guy who installed the security system for me was very nice as well. I didn't ask a lot of questions because it's his job. I let him do it and I don't bother with it. He knows what he's doing and is pretty good at it. After installing the system, he set it off, then he told me that he was done.

We have the doorbell camera, the phone feature where I can lock and view the system, and the two little keychains. We're still trying to learn the system but so far, it's okay. Installation was quick, and the sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. All the info he gave us was a little too much at one time, but he left us a manual we can go over later. With Guardian, I like that I could see who's at the door on my phone, and that I could arm and disarm the system on the little keypad they gave me.

I try to cancel my contract after 2.5 years and because of the fine print they had a automatic renewal for 5 years which is longer than the original contract of 2 years. The salesperson never mention it and I'm stuck with contract until the end additional years. So they are worst than the crooks they're suppose to be protecting me from.

I got the alarm and surround systems included in the service package from Guardian for security and enjoyment. However, I have some concerns in reference to the final package that I got. What we thought we had seen and what we're purchasing was an HDMI hookup for the speakers but what we ended up with was a wall mount with five speaker wires and a woofer wire going into it. We thought we're going to get some more professional looking package but we did not. Currently, I'm dissatisfied but I talked to the sales rep about it yesterday, so I'm hoping that some of that will be improved.

Guardian Protection Services is what was here before with the previous owner of the house and we just went with that. There are features for the windows and doors and there is supposed to be an app that I have to download. Guardian's services is okay, but it could have been a little better. There was supposed to be a welcome email and it was supposed to have given me the link to the app, but I haven't received that yet, and I haven't had the time to call in to talk to the installer who set our system up to get that information from him. However, the installer was great and he was polite.

Even before we bought the house, I wanted a security system, and Guardian Protection Services was the only security service that we could go with. We still have a couple of issues in Guardian that they are trying to fix. I have asked for the HDMI connection from the floor where I'm going to put all my entertainment unit to the ceiling but they did the Cat5 cable instead of the HDMI. So, they're trying to fix it with some converters that they have not resolved yet. I always talk to the representative that I bought the service from and he said he would contact the installation person. I wanted to email the salesperson and the installation person but the installation guy wouldn't give me an email address. Guardian is saying that they're going to fix the issue. If they fix it, I'm going to be a satisfied customer. Everything else was smooth, and went cool; we didn't have to watch behind our backs.

My friend who has Guardian Protection Services referred the company to me. Their sales rep was courteous and explained everything. The installers were nice and went over everything with me. It was a very convenient installation experience. The package includes the smoke alarm and the highway beam in the windows and doors. The services are good so far. We haven't had it more than two days so I'm messing with it every day so I can get used to it.

We got our motion sensor, a breakaway detector from the window from the bathroom, the alarm bell camera, and the fixed sensors on the windows from Guardian Protection Services. We have two autistic kids and they’re usually very close to the windows so I decided to put the sensors there. On the last house that we have, I have to nail the windows so my kids don't go out, especially that they like to escape at night. Now, the alarm will sound and let me know when they are trying to open the window.
It was good with the sales representative, too. His name was Ron and he explained everything in detail. He was the one who recommended the doorbell camera since we didn't have one of those on the door and I found that cool. He also explained that I can activate the alarms through the telephones. The installation guy was very experienced in all the aspect of the installation with complete knowledge of how to connect it to the cellular phone and how to work it properly. He went in and put on the apps necessary to operate the alarm through the phones. That was helpful. He was very pleasant and quick. Everything seems to be in perfect order overall.

Guardian Protection Services' rep is top notch. I have been bitten twice by him. I almost didn't let him in this time, but he is seemingly a good guy. He sold to us our security system with Monitronics. Then he came back and was saying that he had a better deal for us. He came by on Monday, the 14th, and sold us very good on the Guardian Protection Services system. I've only started with them three days ago, and so far, our experience with them is okay. The price is the best feature. The service package that we got includes a couple of motion detectors added over what I already had with Monitronics. Everything works just like it did with the ADT system that we had about five years ago and with the Monitronics system that we used through the last two and a half years.
The salesman installed the system himself. Everything is hooked up and ready to go. He went over everything with us, although we already knew how to operate the system. However, he showed us and added some new features, which was great. I wish that he hadn't left town right after that to go on vacation because he promised that he was going to send me an email that I was to fill out and mail to Monitronics to get them to stop monitoring our security system, but that email didn't come. Nonetheless, it will be a good system once I get it up and going.

I’ve known Guardian Protection Services back from the Ranger American days. I knew that they have been around a long time and were a good company. With their service, we can lock or disable and enable the alarm if we're away from home. The sales rep has also been great. I had to reach out to her because we had a contact that wasn't installed on one of our doors leading out to our garage. She sent it over to the scheduling people really quickly and they got it scheduled that day. Everything so far has been great. They've done what they said they'd do. We haven't had them that long but for the time we've had them, we haven't had any issues.

We got the smoke alarm and the home protection package from Guardian Protection Services. It was a good idea to get these features since we didn't have anything, and we had a lot of people at the house doing construction work. The sales guys were terrific and the installation guys were great. They were on time and Johnny-on-the-spot. They did what they were supposed to do and did a good job, and everything was very efficient. So far, the services have been okay. The immediate kick feature is freaky, though. We don't really set it at night because we get up in the middle of the night and let the dogs out and feed cats, and then it beeps.

One contractor doing our house suggested that I talk to Guardian Protection Services. I wanted the basics and got the motion detection, glass break, door switches in all the windows and doors so we could see who would come in, and all of the standard alerting and mobile access. When we moved, we wanted to get back with the same alarm company we had and in here their name is changed to Guardian. Their sales reps were very friendly. They're helpful when I'm talking with them and when they need to meet with me, they call before showing up which I'm very pleased with. Installation was quick. The installers were good at setting the system up and they knocked it out in less than 30 minutes. The alarm works well and I was happy with the experience.

When we lived in Texas, we had a security system. We just moved and felt more comfortable living with a security system besides the huge dogs. Sean, the sales rep from Guardian Protection Services, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, very personable and we really appreciated his help. We have the panel that we can set when we leave, the sensors on the doors, the smoke detector, and the window break or glass break alarms. The people who came out to do the installation were very personable and went above and beyond. I had to FAX in some things to cancel the previous owner’s service and we didn’t have a FAX machine, so they took it home and did the faxing for me which was very nice of them. They also made sure that we understood everything and they double-checked everything. The installation was perfect and they were wonderful.

The sales representative was pretty good and seemed to explain everything in detail although she never told the cost if there were windows that needed to be done. It was $80 something a window and I wasn’t aware of beforehand. I bought a package from Guardian Protection Services that included 13 windows and I also got one of the keypads. The installation took a while, the guy got here around 8:30 and left at about 1:30. But I like their services and the guy who serviced us was really nice and thorough. I only wish they would’ve put signs out. I’m gonna call to see if they’ll put that in the front yard and in the backyard. I figured that was included.

I have the 24/7 in-home and away protection service from Guardian and both my husband and I are highly satisfied with it. The sales rep was excellent. When we came in to buy our home, Guardian was part of the introduction and the offer for buying the house. We took that option and got the full house security system and a couple of speakers installed in the house. We met the salesman only one time and he didn't do a very good job listening to what we wanted. We asked for two speakers inside the house and a speaker outside of it. However, they installed four speakers in the house, two of them in the basement where we didn't want them at all and two up in the living area where we did in fact want them. They never installed the speaker on the outside of the house. Then the salesman never talked to us about how to get hooked up with Guardian, didn't follow up and didn't show us or tell us what we could do about it. We complained to Guardian about him.
However, the guy who came out and did the installation got here on time and was real good, very thorough and took his time with us. He wasn't in any kind of a rush to do his thing and get out of there and be gone. He also made us feel comfortable. He explained very clearly how everything worked, how to use our phone and our computer, how the keypad works and how to set the alarms. So far, we're happy and very satisfied. The salesman could've been a little bit better but we know that not everybody wants to work and do their thing. We had a great experience.

My Guardian package includes low voltage wiring and security features. We needed these features in a new house. The salesperson was horrible. She didn't know what she was selling. She should be better-trained on what are the things that can be sold and how it works. She only wanted to make the sale so she lied on certain things that I came to know later through the installer who was good. I'm dissatisfied with my experience overall.

I used Utility Concierge and they recommended Guardian Protection Services. Then my correspondence with Guardian has been through email and they were good, consistent and informative. I got the basic home surveillance package from them with a couple of windows and motion sensors. The installer was great, on time, took care of business in a reasonable amount of time and walked me through the actual hard product.

A girl came here and mentioned that the equipment and existing services from my previous security provider is out of date, and explained to me about upgrading. The upgrade and the new equipment I got from them was cool. Now I can use their cellphone app if I forgot to set the alarm. Their newer system runs a little better and it's wireless. You just get on your phone and okay, it's set. The installer that came out was fine. He completed his job, showed me how to run it and went on his way. Everything is fine. I recommend Guardian to my friends.

We got the fire alarm, speakers and central vac from Guardian and they’ve been good so far. The only drawback was that no one showed us how to use the central vac and how things are supposed to go together. We were unable to even call in because they typed our security answer wrong. When I told them how it’s spelled, they told me they couldn’t give me any information because I didn’t know my security word, which was a hassle. It took a while but the gentleman who set up our alarm finally took care of it and he was great. The guy who installed the speakers had hurt his back and didn’t want to put the speakers somewhere because he said he couldn’t, but we’ve seen other houses where the speakers were there and we think he just didn’t want to. Other than that, everybody else was good.

There was a promotion that Guardian Protection Services was doing in our community, trying to get us to switch our alarm services over to them and so there was a sales guy walking around the neighborhood. We switched to Guardian to get better technology as far as the security cameras and video feeds. We got only the two security cameras and a doorbell camera, for the most part. However, I wasn’t completely satisfied. It is now a month later and I’m just getting my final camera installed today and there were some mix-ups. The sales guy was good and he tried his best to help out but he wasn’t a technician. He got one camera up and positioned nicely but the feed was a little slow and he can’t tell how to troubleshoot it. He tried to get the doorbell camera up and running but wasn’t able to get that to work so we went for about two weeks without a doorbell.
When they first came out, the salesman pitched everything and we scheduled a date for the techs to come out. The techs came out that afternoon and it was a whole calamity of errors. If they were qualified technicians, they took way too long just to put in a little board in my little panel box to be protected or monitored by Guardian. Then they told me I need another router from their carrier which is Frontier, to do dual band so that the cameras can work properly. I said, “Okay, no problem. I’ll go ahead and order the router.” So they left the cameras and we scheduled another date. But for no reason, it didn’t happen and I had to call them several times to try to get somebody back out to help me do something or get the stuff working, to no avail.
I finally got tired of the whole thing and I called Guardian directly. The company they worked with that does their service in my area is Skyline and Skyline contacted me and said they'll have somebody out the next week. I was thinking it was gonna be Friday the 21st but their guy came today the 26th. It’s been a whole bunch of problems with everything. I was really disappointed and not satisfied with the service at all. And if I could, I would get out of my contract, but I have a $1,250 fee that I would have to pay. I wouldn’t recommend Guardian to anybody.

I just bought a new home and a co-worker recommended Guardian Protection as an alarm service company. The sales representative, Justin, constantly persevered with waiting for my house to close. He always called to check up on me to see how it was, but never in a harassing way, which is important. He was always patient without being annoying. He sent the installers out and they were not prepared for possibly going into the attic or reroute things, but they were okay. I thought Justin would be there during the installation but he called and checked on me throughout the whole time. I'm still learning the security system but it does what it needs to do. Everything has been awesome.

I got from Guardian Protection Services a package that included a doorbell camera, a keypad door lock, indoor camera and all the windows and doors sensors. The guy who sold me the package does a good follow up. The company emails me and they can know if there are issues with my security system. Also, my wife who saw the installation said she didn't have any issues with the installation team. The guy who came in and installed gave outstanding instructions on what I needed to do to make changes to my system.

I used Guardian Protection before. I have their home alarm, remote access, and VoiceLink. Their sales representatives have been really helpful and nice. The installation was pretty good. They took awhile to get done just because they were working around some other contractors, but they got it done and were real thorough. They also walked me through everything to make sure that I understood all of it.

This company requires 5-year contracts. When the 5 years are up, they specify in the contract that you are renewed for ANOTHER 5 year contract unless they are notified in advance. If you try to leave after you have satisfied the first 5 yrs they will make you pay an additional years worth of service. This company is a complete rip off, very unethical, and have poor business practices. DO NOT USE THEM!

We used to have Guardian Protect a long time ago but we got rid of it. But we have an outside building and we leave our doors unlocked a lot. We just acquired a lot more stuff around our property and in our building outside. When they called me and it had a sensory detector, I decided that I would do it and so far, I've been satisfied. They've been easy to deal with. The sales team was very nice. I asked about different things and they explained the different things that they offered and different things that they had. I told her what I wanted and then we did some add-ons. They set up an appointment with me and a guy came out and they installed what I wanted to be installed then explained to me how it worked. He was very friendly, nice and helpful. My experience has been totally pleasant across the board.

I was burglarized last year and I was home at the time. I have little kids in my house so it was time to get a security system. The sales representative from Guardian was an awesome, pleasant and informative guy. There was no pressure. The installer was great also. I’ve had nothing but pleasant interactions with everyone that I’ve come in contact with. I was sick the other day and accidentally hit the button, and they came through on the intercom and asked me if I needed assistance. After they got the response from me and my password, only then did they hang up and they told me to have a good night. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

We had the system installed in August. It has been nothing but trouble the whole 2 months. When we were on a 10 day vacation we were notified several times that the basement motion detector was not working. They told us it was a bad battery. THEY JUST INSTALLED THE SYSTEM! Which means they gave us a bad battery. Then they changed their mind and said they fixed the problem remotely. Which did not turn out to be true either. We continue to have problems with the basement motion detector and had to actually leave our home without activating our system today. On top of all this trouble while on vacation and when wanting to leave our home safe while gone, they overcharged our account this month.
OUR AGREEMENT with them was they were NOT to be taking any funds out of our account, but that we would be automatically paying $49.99/month out of our account. We TOLD them the deal was off before our rep left our house because we would not allow them access to our account. We were told they would not be taking any money out of our account after the initial payment on 8/18. And on 9/27 they removed $68.32 from our account. We have no idea where they came up with that amount!!! It is very sad that companies are allowed to operated in such an unethical way.

Guardian Protection is the company that my parents have their alarm system with. We had decided to do fire with them for now. The guy from Guardian that I spoke to on the phone was polite. He didn't try to push anything on us and then there were also a couple of times we had to reschedule because we were out of town. My experience with him was good. The installer was also a nice guy, very knowledgeable, and showed us how to use the keypad, the app on our phone and the key fobs. My wife and I got his number in case we had any problems or questions. They are very nice folks and we're really pleased with their service.

We bought our home through Ryan Homes and they work with Guardian. We got their security and speaker system. They were very nice to work with. After we moved in, we had one of their reps come out to install the fire alarms and additional motion detector. He was knowledgeable and took his time walking us through the system, how to use it, and how to fit our needs.

My technician, Jim, was very experienced and helpful with my understanding the system. He even walked me through setting up my app when he was on the road. I love the feeling of the safety of my pets and family. Very pleased with the experience. I am sleeping better. BTW. I like that the salesman came out and customized my needs. I previously had another security provider for quite a while but it wasn't wireless. But now I have Guardian and I'm happy with it. It's a little easier to use. Their salesman explained a few of the newer things. Although I called them the other day because when I came in, there wasn't any sound. I was used to the previous one where it beeped until I turned it off. So they had put a chime on it and they did it right there from the office. Angel, the installer was very nice and explained what he was doing. And when I had a question, I called the guy who sold the system to me. And because Angel was still in the neighborhood, he came back and explained it to me. They were both really good and I'm glad I got Guardian.

We already had a video surveillance set up but we needed the sensors, so we got them from Guardian Protection. Their sales rep answered all our questions and wasn't pushy. We liked the stuff he recommended but we chose our own package. Then the installer came and he was very clean and fast. He also showed us how to use the system. It's really easy to use and it's doing everything we need it to.

My package from Guardian Protection includes the medical alert and police. At first I had a little trouble with my Guardian Protection Services, but now it’s fine. When I wore the button to bed and I must have been lying on it, it just set off the alarm. So I just have to be careful with that but when I got up and fixed it, it was all right. I would recommend them.

We contracted with Guardian Protection at our previous residence to our own detriment. Mid-way through our contract, we built an addition to our home that required additional sensors. What seemed like a straight-forward service call to install the additional sensors became a nightmare that resulted in us being entered into an extended security contract that was NOT explained to us and was never what we wanted. When the extended contract came to our attention, we immediately called customer service only to be insulted and ridiculed that we hadn't read the full paperwork that was signed when the additional sensors were added. Though reading the full paperwork is ideal, the service installer was in a hurry when he was at our home. So when he said, "Here's the confirmation of the sensors I added. Nothing additional to note. Sign here and here", we foolishly believed him.
We now understand why he was in such a "hurry" to get out of our house. Had we had the proper time to review the paperwork and realized it included an extended contract, we never would have signed! Fast forward to a year later when we sold that property and the new owners declined to take over the Guardian contract (probably because they read all of the accurately terrible reviews of Guardian) and we are being told by Guardian that we are required to pay the remaining balance on the contract.
What world are we living in!? They aren't providing any service to our current or previous residency and yet they demand payment for a contract that we never wanted in the first place! Without question, this is one of the most dishonest, unprofessional companies ever. Save yourself the heartache and disappointment and DO NOT sign with Guardian! There are many other far more qualified and professional protection agencies that don't have to scam customers in order to make a profit.

I signed up to Guardian Protection Services through the Internet and got a security system which includes a fire protection. The sales rep was friendly and helpful in explaining how it all worked. They also did a good job on the installation. However, nobody explained to me that it was for 60 months until after I’d already signed the contract on it. But that’s fine.

I got the dual band camera from Guardian to see who comes to the house when I’m not home. In case somebody, like one of my relatives, want to get inside the house and I'm not here, I can see that’s them at the door and I can unlock it and let them in. Everything went smoothly during the installation. The guy was professional, did what he had to do, and cleaned up the mess after he was finished. I’m very satisfied with the service I am getting from Guardian.

A friend told me about Guardian Protection and so far I’m a hundred percent satisfied. The package that I got has everything - a camera, the sensor and it has the windows covered and I got another extra sensor. The sales rep was good at what he's doing. I liked how he worked. I was verbally mislead by the Guardian salesman when I was told I could cancel monitoring services at any time. I found out today I had a 5-year contract, and I would have to pay a 100% cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel. Misrepresenting a contract is illegal.

Guardian's security system never sets - the light indicating it is ready to set never goes on - i.e. I cannot use it - and they refuse to remove the five year contract at $500 a year for a system that does not work and which I cannot set. Outrageous and shockingly poor customer service. I have asked them to remove the system and my contract and they refuse. Never ever use this company.

Guardian makes a significant upfront investment when new electronic security hardware is installed and activated in your property. This is the reason an early termination fee may apply if you wish to cancel prior to the end of the initial contract period. You may opt to remit an early termination fee or continue to pay the normal monthly fee until the end of the contract period, at which time it may be cancelled with no early termination fee. Such contract terms are common throughout many industries including the home security industry. The contract also serves to protect both the consumer and the provider, by defining services to be provided, rates, terms and obligations of each party.

Then I had some issues with their app. Their representative explained it to me but for some reason my phone wouldn’t download the app. It finally downloaded after a couple days later. They also forgot to leave a sign out there in the yard like they’re supposed to. I think I’m gonna switch to Xfinity after though. I got to find out how long this contract’s for. But it’s okay and I would recommend them.

I called today, Sept 29, 2016 to deactivate/cancel my service but, to only find out my account was auto renewed for 36 months without my knowledge... and that the contract auto renewals. Piss poor communication and hidden "contract terms". When I moved into my new home, a walking saleswoman sold me for an alarm monitoring system. This was back in 2009. After the initial "contract" was up, I know I stated I wanted to cancel my alarm service. Well, somehow, my contract was renewed in 2013 and since I didn't cancel, it auto renewed for another 36 months. **!
So, the auto renew contract is supposedly renewed and "I" electronically signed the contract. You know what's funny, I don't even have an online account with Guardian Protection. I just tried forgot my password and entered my email address and, it says "NO CUSTOMER COULD BE FOUND FOR ENTERED EMAILED ADDRESS". So, how in the hell did I electronically signed the 36 month renewal??? Timing, auto renewal notice, contract expiration, these are all hidden and not advised to the customer. This is hidden and hushed so, the customer forget and you get slammed with some crazy ** 36 months. THIS IS A FRAUD, HIDDEN LIES and BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE.
False advertised contract lengths and cancellation policy. This confusion is due in large part to Guardian Protection’s poor online transparency as well as its method of contract delivery. The Guardian Protection website proffers little useful information regarding policies, terms and conditions, and exclusions. Customers are largely at the mercy of the terms of the actual contract, which is delivered in an electronic format. A auto renewal or the renewed contract that I supposedly signed in 2013 was never emailed or mailed to me. SEVERAL customers have complained that these contracts are not only difficult to read, but can also sometimes be inaccurate. Whatever it takes, this issue will be broadcasted to every major social media, I'll also contact my local news - consumer reporter. BBB and any other outlet so, they don't DECEIVE anyone else.

An AutoRenew clause also helps to assure no gap in 24-hour monitoring, a critical service on which clients expect from Guardian. I have been a customer for 11 year. I upgraded my system and all I have had is problems with the service. 6 months and I've had the police here 6 times. They blame everything on the installer which I think is **. I would not suggest using them as your monitoring carrier. They have an excuse for everything why it's not their problem. Each time it has been their problem. Oh you didn't do this or you should called first. Then when you call nothing gets resolved. Customer services SUCKS!!! Look at other carriers and they are less money.

Today, I called Guardian Protection to cancel my alarm service. I spoke to a customer service rep who was rude and non-responsive to my request. He kept asking why I wanted to cancel and stating "I'm just curious as to why since you have been a long-time valued customer." I told him it was none of his business why I wanted to cancel and to please process the request. He finally, after me yelling at him, said it was paid through October 22 so I said fine, cancel as of that date. He then proceeded to tell me that I was locked into a contract for another 33 months and would have to pay a termination fee! Apparently, 16 or 18 years ago when the system was installed, a contract was signed. Every 5 years it AUTOMATICALLY renews unless you inform them in writing 30 or more days in advance. Mind you, Guardian WILL NOT send you a renewal notice so you could be informed as a consumer. What a shady practice as a company.
As a consumer, I should have the choice to renew and be reminded of such. Any other reputable company I deal with does that. This is an unacceptable practice that targets customers who have faithfully paid their bills for years. A supervisor was no help, saying I would have to pay over $1,000 to terminate early. He thought he was being kind offering a 50% discount to $500 to terminate. I refused to do so.
Believe me, if I am stuck with this company with such unethical business practices, it will cost them more than the $500 in business I drive away from them through my social media contacts, board positions, and union positions as I tell people to steer clear of this company. They should be ashamed of themselves. (And the kicker is my system's battery is dead so I have no battery back up, leaving me without coverage THAT I'M PAYING FOR and they will want likely over $100 to replace the system's battery!) Shameful business practices!!

We are on a fixed income as seniors and called to get our service canceled because of the high cost. I was told the payment could be lowered to $20.00 but as of the last billing it did not change. I have been told it will cost $1200 to cancel the service with no explanation as to this charge. We will not suggest to any of our friends to use your services and will finish our contract.

Being forced to use them in our new home construction. We were going get Cat 6 cable upgrade, all the multi-media wiring and panels and security system. Rep didn't care and just wanted to get out of the apt. Later when I had additional questions about the type and placement of the wiring panels, the rep just acted like I was an inconvenience. I canceled everything and wasn't going to have them do anything, but the network and surround sound wiring would have such a pain in the butt later.

I purchased a service package from Guardian Protection Services that includes all the doors and motions in the hall, smoke detectors, and glass break. The security service I had before didn't have the smoke detector, motion for the overhead door, and the glass breakage that I wanted. The installation guy was great and he explained to us good. Some of the stuff that the salesman had said we were gonna get weren't on his paper so he made sure that he checked with them and got it before he did anything. However, I'm having a problem shutting my alarm off on my tablet. But so far, the service is good.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SIGN A CONTRACT WITH GUARDIAN!!! When we decided to buy with Ryan Homes in Whitehall, PA they had us meet with their Guardian rep. Michael **. He assured us that we would have a window to decide whether or not to use their security services. We decided not to and informed him that we wouldn't be using them, but he got my wife to sign the contract under the false pretense that we wouldn't owe anything if the system weren't activated. After closing on the house, a Guardian Tech showed up to activate the system and we explained that we weren't having it activated. He left and the system stayed off. Two months later, we receive a bill for service and when we called to investigate we're told that we were under contract and that a multi-thousand cancellation fee would apply, even though the service is not active in our house, and never has been. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Somebody from Guardian came to the door and my wife answered. And we got a service package that seemed to offer a little bit more than that the one we had before, which was Monitronics. We have voice activation and we're actually talking to somebody. So if something happens, somebody from Guardian is gonna activate through the system to speak to us, though not necessarily call us on the phone, which is good. The sales rep was fine and it took a while to get the system set up properly because we have a second area not attached in the house. We have a pool house where the alarm is connected to as well so it took a little bit of back and forth to get that set up right. But, eventually, I got it worked out. Installation was fine and there's no problem. They ran out of something so they had to come back and bring another one, but it was not a big deal and it went smoothly.

The salesperson of the builder of the house told me about Guardian who had come out and wired it. So I talked to Guardian and their two sales reps that came were very good, knowledgeable and personable. It made sense that all the features came bundled into one package. I'd recommend the Guardian Protection system. I had an issue before but they got it all fixed and now everything's working well. I'm very satisfied with the service so far.

I bought the thing for the AC and for the doors, and a motion detector from Guardian Protection Services. I bought the one for the AC because the one that I had was broken, and we can adjust it from my car when I'm away. And when I go back, I can raise or lower the temperature. It's something beneficial for myself and my family. The sales rep was very kind and informative. He gave me all the details and wasn’t pushy. Their installation guy was nice and he installed everything faster than what he told me.

Guardian Protection Services got forced down my throat by Ryan Holmes. If I wanted any other protection, I had to go with them. Jason, the sales rep was excellent. He told me what it would include and what it was. Everything from an alarm system to speakers. He explained it to my wife and myself and that was fine. But when they came in and installed the HDMI cables, they cut five cables. I wasted $2,000 for it to get done. So I just want a wireless speaker system instead. During the installation, I’m not allowed to be there. It was a new construction. It would be great if somebody from Guardian can contact me to figure out why my HDMI ports don’t work and why I paid $2,000 for them to wire my house when none of the stuff works.

Our old system was outdated and we had problems with our landline before so we got Guardian's wireless system. We included the medical necklace, two fire detectors and the doors monitor in our service package. The installation team was great and overall, it was a good experience.

We've been pleased with Guardian Protection Services. No issues and I appreciate it. Yesterday we had power outage and the system alerted us. It read no power in our home and it's a nice feature. I'm happy with my experience so far. The sales representative has been easy to contact and the installation team showed us how to operate the device and cleaned up after themselves.

Right now, I have the service for burglary. I have requested smoke detection and carbon monoxide, and that would be taken care of this week. The sales reps were very nice. The young man who installed the system was very helpful and walked me through it step by step.

Guardian Protection salesman who came by did a very good service and was on time. Also, the installation team did a fast job and everything went well. The service package I got has been very good. It's a great product and so I’ve signed up with them for four years. Having it takes a lot of worries off me especially since I’m away from the house a lot.

Initially had Guardian Protection Services installed when I bought my home. Signed up for what I thought was a 5 year contract. Contract ended in February, I called in April to cancel services, was shocked to learn that my contract had been auto renewed because I did not cancel before the period was up. At that time, Guardian told me my contract had auto-renewed for a year. I agreed to continue the service for that time period but reiterated that I planned to cancel my account at the end of it. Fast forward to August and I received a welcome letter from a company called Monitronics Security. Apparently Guardian had sold my account or merged with/got bought by this new company, which now had my account. I called Guardian immediately and was told they didn't have my account and couldn't help me. I then called Monitronics Security and was told my account still had 54 months remaining on it, so they decided to renew me automatically for 5 years!
Why in the world would I agree to stay on for 5 additional years? I wouldn't. I informed them that that was not accurate and that my contract with Guardian ended in February of 2016. So now in order to get out of the contract I have to pay Monitronics for 54 months advance service (almost $3000). This is laughable and a fraudulent practice. They asked me to review my contract terms and I did not have a copy available. They said they would send a copy which, after waiting patiently for a month, I never received it.
I called again today to ask again to cancel and correct their mistake. I found my initial Guardian welcome letter and certificate of installation showing I started my service in Feb of 2011, but they asked again if I had a copy of my contract. I told them it never arrived and he said they sent it last month. I asked them to resend and that I'm getting a little frustrated because I didn't think they were being honest with me. He said to give it another 48 hours and if nothing has shown up in email, to call him back to discuss again. I am deeply disappointed and extremely unsatisfied.

Our issue was finally resolved but not without additional inconvenience. The second technician was excellent and the second/third (whatever # it was) customer service person demonstrated what one expects when calling for "service." But getting to these people that took appropriate action was an arduous task.

We have been customers of Guardian for about 15 months with no issues. When the batteries died over the weekend on the door mount, we replaced them, but it still did not work. My wife called on Monday to ask for help... Incredibly difficult to get any information out of the customer service reps. They're indifferent to customer needs and make scheduling an appointment an arduous task - AND we actually found out today that all we had to do was push and hold a button to reset the device (couldn't customer service have provided that little bit of information on the first call??!) So we schedule service and are given the "four hour window" and are told we would be called in the morning to confirm an approximate time of arrival.
Morning comes and is almost gone; we call to inquire. "Don't know." says the rep. Can you check and see if someone has been assigned, etc., etc. as we are trying to plan the rest of the day. The rep finally tells my wife 11 AM and that she will receive a call when they are on their way. 10:30 - 30 minutes early, a technician shows up without a courtesy call.
The Technician takes a look, pushes and holds a reset button as he tells my wife, "This is all you had to do..." Come to find out, the lock tries to secure, but won't. Makes the same sound it always has, but won't lock now. Ends up showing as "jammed" on the control panel. The Technician says he's going to truck to call supervisor. Comes back, says, "You've got to get your door jamb fixed." My wife says it's always worked just fine, and he says, "I've said all I have to say," and walks off. My wife calls customer service. They "can't do anything..." and "you'll have to pay $$$ if you want to cancel..." No one in the entire process apologized for our inconvenience or demonstrated any degree of concern for us as a customer. This was the classic "feel like a number" experience. We'll be counting the days until the end of our contract.

The people that we bought the house from had Guardian, and so we just kept the service package they already had. I discussed with their sales guy about adding another motion detector in our basement. He told me that it would be free of charge if I signed the 3-year agreement. Then when I scheduled a date, I thought they would come out to talk further about the system. However, it turned out the be the installation date. When the installation guy got here, he had no record of that negotiation over the phone. So I did not get my motion detector. They were not very informative. I did call them let them know, but I ended up not minding it because it was gonna be a pain in the neck to deal with it.

Guardian Protection Services came as a bundle with my homeowner's package along with the mortgage and house insurance. The package includes the home security and they also did my internal data ports, the TV hook-ups, and their 5.1 sound system. I got it for security and convenience. I was able to speak to them as part of my design session and we had two sessions where we discussed the options that I would be taking. We just finished the installations and everything went well. I have peace of mind now that the system is installed.

I bought the service provided and so far I have been happy with it but the salesman that sold this to me made promises he did not keep and there were 2 other people interested in this service but I did not give them the salesman name that was here. I told them to go to the website. I am not sure if they did or not but not happy with promises that are not kept just to sell a system.

I've had Guardian Protection Services for about a year and a half now, and everything has been good. I have the motion camera so that if someone breaks in, I have evidence. The person from the installation team was clean, very polite, helpful.

Somebody came to my door and told me about Guardian Protection Services. I already had an alarm with a landline, but I was interested in going wireless. It got my attention. The salesman was very polite and their installer was nice and knowledgeable. I got a camera and a fire alarm and I'm able to view my home and set the alarm off and on from far away. Then I was outside the United States two weeks ago and I was able to arm and disarm my alarm from overseas. I'm working a lot, so it's something that I can view and see when my children are at home or when they come back from school. I didn't have that before. However, I'm paying $93 for three months on my old alarm, but now I'm paying $53 monthly for the new one.

The Guardian Protection Services sales rep was very friendly because my dad who answered the door doesn’t really talk to people if they don’t come off friendly. He explained the kind of service they offered and how we could benefit from it. We got their basic sensor alarm because of prior experience with home break-ins. We also asked about the video but it wasn't out yet. The guy who installed it did explain the system once he was done setting it up but he wasn't friendly. He didn’t want to answer questions while he was setting it up. Nevertheless, the whole thing’s been pretty good so far. Though we haven’t tried it out completely, we’re satisfied with it.

The previous owner of our house had Guardian and they were happy with the service so they recommended them to us. We have the carbon monoxide alarm downstairs then the alarm goes straight to the police when it goes off. The system was already there and it was part of it so we thought we might as well use it. Their sales rep was very courteous, very nice and helped us immediately. The person that came out to check the alarm and show me how things work was awesome and very efficient. It's been great and I'm very happy with the service.

This is a new Ryan community. The house was pre-wired for an alarm system By Guardian Protection Services. Periodically we lose power due to the building of new homes. On Wed September 7th 2016, I lost power for a few hours. After the power was restored the system registered a low battery. Upon checking the battery, I noticed the control board was screwed to the box with cardboard wedged between the motherboard to keep it from shorting directly to the can. Also the battery has one screw at the top and one screw at the bottom of the battery to hold it in. Where is the battery tray that should be installed with the Honeywell Can? Why is the motherboard not mounted safely with control board mounts? Knowing that electricity travels the least path of resistance, this would cause a fire under certain circumstances due to the control not being properly grounded. There is no backing plate installed.
I contacted customer service and the gentleman stated that this is the way the company normally installs the systems. I find this to be unbelievable and if true, this would be a purposeful disregard for life safety and for the safety of our home. I made a request for a supervisor or for Mr. Mike ** to return my call so that we may discuss this issue and come up with a resolution. The customer service representative advised that he would not be having either person call and would only entertain sending a technician to take a look at the problem. I advised the representative that I would like for a Supervisor to contact me or to come out with the technician to evaluate. Customer service refused to help. At the present my system is disconnected from the power due to it being unsafe. I would like to be contacted by a supervisor so this can be resolved.

I got two of the keypads from Guardian Protection Services. I like the digital part, where the system's not on a phone line anymore. That's what really made up my mind to get this service. The guys explained the security system to me before they left, but I'm a hard learner. However, I'm trying to learn it. I tried to get out or come in. I got the system going and finally figured it out. So far, I'm doing real well and I like the system real well. The sales representative was very nice, knew what he was talking about, and was very good to explain everything, and that's another reason why I liked Guardian and got their service. The installer was nice, too, and he explained everything after he got the system installed. I was real satisfied with both of them.

I have 2 business locations that have Guardian services, both accounts have door lock options (most important reason why I signed with Guardian), and both having trouble after 2 months service starts. Signal and functions are always problem, so when contact the customer service, they said I have to pay for the new lock and tech to come out to fix. What a scam. They provide the poor quality lock for my businesses, and saying it's was due to the harsh condition where the door lock was installed, they know it's for business when I sign up for the service, now they are saying I must pay the door lock. As business, if you can't provide the service, then you are breaching the contract, charging me service that I didn't receive, and when I say I am going to cancel and switch to other company that willing to take care my problem, they said I have to pay for the remaining of the contract in full for both accounts. This is scam, stay away.

We had a security system at our old house and we thought having pre-wired speakers would be nice so we got Guardian's alarm system for the house and then speakers and sound system in the basement. The sales reps were very helpful and nice. The installers set up the system quickly and explained how to use it.

My system from Guardian includes the glass break, the two-way touch screen monitor, and two doors, and an app on my phone as far as being able to disarm and arm. The installer was also very nice, honest, helpful and informative. I'm happy with the system other than the fact that they said I was gonna be able to get a camera and then when they got here, I had told them upfront that I have satellite internet and the salesman said that’s fine. It can work but they said it'd be a sporadic camera. I was going to drop my monthly rates based on the fact that I didn’t have a camera, but I really wanted that camera. And now, I have to get one on my own and tie into my system rather than theirs.
Another issue was when I was also told what my charge was gonna be and I wrote a check. They told me $50 so I gave them $50 check. I didn’t expect it to all of a sudden be for $60 because now I have that check for 50 and I was charged $60. And they were willing to say that they were gonna send me a $30 check because I got charged overdraft, because this was based on money that I have set in my savings account for retirement. Today, I looked at my account and I have a $50 charge from them on there. I called them and it's California and they say that nobody’s there this time. And that was the activation fee, which there was not supposed to be any. So now I'm waiting for a callback on that for them to reverse that. As it seems now, they can go in there every day and draw a fee.

We have been a Guardian customer for 15 to 20 years and I can tell you we have had great service. I tell people all the time that I don't know any other company that has a customer service, installation, and sales people that are more friendly and helpful than Guardian. The sales person that consulted with us for our first system and add-ins over the years just worked with us to install a system in our new home. I seldom feel like I'm being "sold" anything and always receive professional recommendation about new devices and my homes needs. I'd never use another security monitoring and installation company. If you wants great outside sales person ask for Dewey, there is no one better! All the techs are great too, customer service is unmatched.

I've been a customer for a couple of weeks now. The sales representative was very cool, talkative, and descriptive of the details of how to work the system. Everything went great. The installation team did good, however, they put a wrong outlet in the wrong place. They said they’ll come out and remove it and put the right one in the right location. I heard about Guardian through my builder, Ryan Homes. I got their security system. My interaction with their sales representative was okay but they were not clear on what they are selling and I'm not able to get more information from them. What they were talking about was different from what I was seeing. I would suggest that they have a clear idea about the products, how they work, and if those things are workable to the customer or not. That makes it easy for the customers to understand more. Their installation team is good too but they are still installing on my house. One time they came to install the security system, another time for some other stuff. Oral communication is good but they're taking more time than I expected.

This company has one goal, and it doesn't favor you as the client! Guardian will entice you to buy into their long-term contract in order to save you in monthly payments, etc. Guardian's long-term contracts only benefit Guardian. My family and I recently went through some major life changes, which include work, housing and financial changes. We used Guardian for 3 years prior to this happening. When we called Guardian, they said leave the equipment at the house we were moving out of and they will come hook us up at the new house. We had to "freeze" the account for several months until we found a home. We called Guardian to get hooked up again, and they want $400 to hook back up! I am basically paying for new equipment.
The customer service rep. said that we needed to remove all equipment from our old house and bring it to the new house. Well, that isn't what they said when we called originally. So, the customer service rep. says.... "normally our clients do leave the equipment, and then we make them sign a NEW LONG TERM CONTRACT, and we give them new equipment." Does this sound like a huge scam or what!!! So, I have 20 months left on my 60-month contract, and they want $1,000 for me to terminate my contract. So, I either pay $1,000 or $400 to get my alarm back. WOW! I hope everyone reads this so you are not their next victim! Or better yet, find a company that doesn't require a long-term contract just in case your life situations change!

I’m a widow and I’m all alone. Then one night, somebody came and beat on my bedroom window, which scared me. So when I've seen Guardian Protection's advertisements, I decided to call them and got their security system including a little camera, two smoke detectors, and the necklace. I’m very satisfied with the services, so far. I had to get used to it, though because sometimes I forget to turn it off when I open the door. I appreciated that their sales rep was very nice, answered all my questions and was very upfront with everything. The installer was also very pleasant. Before he left, he showed me everything on the panel and how to use it, and he gave me some information to read.

Not happy. They lock you into a 60 month (5-year) contract and then want charge you $1000 if you want to cancel early. And that $1000 is for a basic package not including any upgrades.

Because Guardian makes a significant upfront investment when new electronic security hardware is installed and activated in your property, the costs of such hardware are recouped by the provider over the initial contract period. This is the reason an early termination fee may apply if you wish to cancel prior to the end of the initial contract period. The contract also serves to protect both the consumer and the provider, by defining services to be provided, rates, terms and obligations of each party.

We wanted to update our previous security system so we got the alarm for somebody coming in and the fire alarm from Guardian Protection Services. The security system we had before didn't have the doorbell timer when somebody comes in which now is disconcerting, but besides that, the Guardian system has been fine so far. When we're down in the basement, if our backdoor is open, we don't hear somebody come in. So it's a good feature to have, though we have to get used to it. The salesman and the installer worked together and were very nice fellows.

At nighttime, I feel safer with Guardian Protection Services because there's theft going on in this area and I have three kids. The sales reps were really nice, respectful and did a good job. I was satisfied with the company. Their people were great. I told them my neighbor would want to have one, so they went over and installed hers.

Guardian Protection Services wired the alarm system in the house for the build. They set up an appointment to have a tech come out and speak to me about actually getting coverage for the house. Our package from Guardian included two video cameras, glass break sensors, and the standard monitoring of doors and windows. I've been happy with the system so far except for the cameras having a technical issue. They go off all the time just on overcast skies and drive me to nuts a little bit.
The sales representatives were great and extremely knowledgeable to the point where it's hard to follow pace. It's a lot of stuff to absorb at once. But they're always willing to help me if I reach out to them for any of my technical questions. I am pleased with them and I enjoyed one of the fellows particularly. Just good to get along with and he did a fine job and seemed conscientious about not tearing stuff up, unlike all the other contractors that had been in here. They did a good job.

I have a burglar alarm from Guardian with additional features added onto it for the backdoor and garage door opener. The salesperson was very helpful and cooperative. And I've had two technicians out of the house who were both very diligent with their work as well.

So far, the experience with Guardian has been good. We got the door alarms and the motion sensor from them as a precaution since I've got some valuable stuff and we're getting used to the new house. The installation tech really seemed to know his stuff and what he was doing. He wasn’t intrusive in any way, and explained what was going on. He was a good guy and did his job very well.

I like our Guardian Protection Services fine. However, it went off last night. And I don't know if it was because of the storms or not. I got an email saying that it was disarmed from another location. I hope it doesn't happen again. If that had happened in the middle of the night, it would have scared the life out of me. My system includes the inside and outside cameras, also the medical, fire and police. I don't have the smoke detectors, though. I didn't realize they had those until the installer got here.
The installer was very friendly, helpful, and wanted to make sure that I understood what was going on. He even gave me his personal cell number if I had any problems. On the first day, he was late but he called and told me that he was having to come from Raleigh which is a good way from my home. The sales rep was really good, too, however, I was just disappointed that he didn't tell me about the smoke alarms. And I would have probably gotten those. But I would still recommend them.

I love Guardian. We've had a couple of people knock on the door before they got here to do it, like ADT, but I liked their customer service. Guardian is a little bit smaller company and I don't feel like a number with them. The sales rep's very helpful, patient, very knowledgeable and I found him very trustworthy and honest. The guy who installed it was also great. I have windows, home monitoring and wireless and he took time with me to explain what was going to happen, what to do and the little bells and whistles that came with the system that I have. When he left I felt pretty good about hitting wrong buttons or whatever. So I'm very happy.

I first got a letter in the mail, and then the sales rep from Guardian Protection stopped by and discussed their service that day. He was very nice, but he asked me a lot of personal questions like the password to my bank account. He left a letter to send to cancel ADT, and then he said he'd be back in 20 minutes. I started thinking, and I didn't like what I saw. I didn't trust them when he didn't come back, and I was afraid he was going to clean me out because he knew everything, so I cancelled and I haven't been reimbursed yet. I haven't used the system at all, and I still have the device for the heart that I hang around my neck. They investigated. He said he wouldn't come back because it was raining, but it had nothing to do with the rain.

We signed up for the five-year contract, $49.99 with no maintenance fees - people coming out if something went wrong, and a new keypad. My wife was there when they did the installation. The one thing we didn’t like is the contract number that he gave us was his phone number. He didn’t give us an actual contact number. The only way I got it was because I was called to go over some finalizing stuff because I was the point of contact for the contract. So there was a lot of different things that were small things but in the end were a lot bigger to us.
So we discontinued within the first 72 hours because the salesman led us astray. He had a good pitch, does his job well, except for the fact that my wife and I didn’t like the five-year contract. We were with Vivint prior to Guardian, and we called them back up to let them know what was going on. And Vivint said that they could do $29.99 a month with a two-year contract and then monthly after that with no contract, and new equipment. So the biggest difference between the two is that Vivint does have a $50 association fee for coming out and fixing any problems. Overall, Guardian's salesmanship techniques are good for getting somebody hooked but not honest and not trustworthy.

I'm a quadriplegic. The main reason I got Guardian Protection Services' security system is because it has the push button for police, fire and first aid so that somebody will come on the speaker and talk to me because I can't pick up the phone. I'm satisfied with the service. I have no complaints on the installation or any of the representatives. The installers were very professional.

The representatives came to my house late when we had just finished dinner. They told my husband that they were updating our ADT machine. They left at 10pm and my kids were still awake. We ended up with a new home security which we did not want.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I am so frustrated and will end up canceling them. When the tech came out I wanted additional sensors put in and he said I would have to call Guardian to arrange that. I called and talked to Jonathan in Customer Service, and he said ok and I was emailed an addendum, and signed it that day and sent it back. One week later no call or email as to when the tech is coming out. I called, spoke to Jonathan again, and he said he would get Justin to take care of this. Almost another week goes by...still no tech, no call or email from Justin or Jonathan. If this is the response I get for simple customer service how can I have the confidence in this company to take care of my security needs? Time to find another security company. I am tired of dealing with this.

Please stay away from Guardian Protection Services. They are very expensive as compared to their competitors. I wanted to discontinue their service but that was too expensive as well. Before hanging up, I was offered a "complimentary" service where they would check my keypad which was a bit loose. I did not want it, but he insisted and I agreed as it was free. He replaced the keypad and has charged $150 for the service which I did not even want in the first place. I hate dirty, cheap games that these companies play. I would give negative stars if possible.

The company was happy to take our monthly checks on time for the last seven years. But when we had a problem, and set a date for service before vacation, and confirmed the appointment, twice, the service person was not only a no show. He waited until the end of the day (5:30 pm to call) to say he "didn't have a part." HE knew that fact at 9 am. Every person we spoke to who said they would call back did not. Everyone said the right things and did nothing.
Bottom line: Guardian left our home UN-guarded with a properly working system while we were on vacation. And told us if we had a problem and were fined we could go to the police station and our monitoring violation fee would be waived. They "passed the buck" saying, "it's our contractors." We don't have a contract with their contractors. It's with you, Guardian. I've paid to NOT have to go to the police and for a secure home. What would you do Guardian, if I didn't pay you on time?! Take responsibility for what you do, Guardian. You're in the trust and responsibility business. Or perhaps you're not?

We had just moved into the neighborhood. A lot of times, my husband and I are very busy and not at home, so a little protection's better than none at all. The rep was very good in what he did and explained everything to us. He also made sure that we had a working system before he left. We have everything from Guardian Protection except for something that goes with the fire alarm button. We enjoy it, and we haven't had problems with it.

My experience with the gentleman that came to my home was great. There was one issue. He didn't have the buffer on his truck to activate my camera service and I still have not received a phone call for someone to set up Saturday scheduling because the buffer was not on the guy's truck. I would not recommend this alarm company. I have had several issues with their alarm system where technicians had to be called out. Each time they charged $50 per visit. Then I looked at my billing statement and see that I am charged $1 for a paper statement. Easy fix, right? No, in order to enroll in a paperless statement you must enroll in their reoccurring debit option. Why should I be forced into an automatic payment system, if I have one through my bank. I tend to wonder if this is legal or if someone has already challenged their policy.

I had a two gigabyte system and Guardian Protection Services advanced it to a four. I was told that the towers for 2GB were going down by the beginning of next year and that it would not be working so we had to go with the 4GB. I haven’t personally done the test. They gave me some program that I can do by myself but I don’t really see it in my phone because it only shows when somebody has set the alarm. I also have not tested how the motion sensors are really working. I have problems with the panel and they did some adjustments on it and everything seems to be working now according to what we needed.
However, the door sensors on the garage door kept going off during windy occasions. We hadn’t armed it, fortunately, during that time but it kept saying, “Door open.” I went out to the garage to know what was going on. I really couldn’t tell but I’m assuming it may be because of the air release vents we have in there, that maybe the wind was blowing and it was pushing the door a little bit which set it off. So I opened it and re-latched it and gave it a good push before I double locked it, deadbolt the door knob and it didn’t come back. If it does when it’s armed, that’s going to be a problem but it hasn’t happened again since.
Also, my son has an Apple phone which can only be used through the touch of the fingerprint to turn it on and shut it off. On the app that we had, it worked for one day for him, but the next day it disappeared so we don’t know what’s going on there either. We were also two hours ahead on the phone app when it would say that things were armed compared to what it really was but they got that all straightened out.
Our garage is a long way away from the home and it’s hard to monitor the garage a lot of times so we put a break glass in there in case people are trying to pry on the door or break the windows and the garage to get in. It wasn’t armed on “Stay” so they went through that program too and armed the break glass for Away or Stay, like we needed.
As far as the installation goes, the installation went well but I had some kind of a setback wherein the Stay has no countdown. It has a countdown on the screen but that screen is in our living room. The backdoor exit is a long ways away from there. So what happened was it had armed and it didn’t say anything. It just said at the very beginning, “Arming now.” They couldn’t do anything with the apps or voice, only on the Away. We’ve gotten used to it but I was always hoping that there would be some beeps but it doesn’t do that.
The other setback would be the app working on the phones. My two boys got their motorcycles in my garage because they live in apartments. I’m thinking I’m going to have to get a key fob but I can't afford that as I’m retired now. They haven’t really told me the price of the key fob yet so I could have one hidden in the garage so that they know where it is and they can shut it off and they don’t have to go on the programs on their phones. Sometimes it hasn’t worked on the phones.
Fortunately, when we had the alarm go off in the beginning they weren’t really monitoring or paying that much attention to it. They only texted one of us on the phone and no more accidents happened. It went off because my son was outside and had locked the door and left his keys in the house. He was trying to use his phone to unset it because of the alarm, and the whole app on his phone wouldn’t work. We had to change pass codes and reset the system after they worked on it. It seems to be working now except for that garage door. One night, my daughter came from outside when it said “Door Open”. And I said, “It says garage door open.” She was, “No, I didn’t go to garage or anything like that.” And that’s when it first happened and we noticed later on that thing did it a few times.
The other companies that are trying to sell things are not saying that the towers are going down for 2GB and the old system won’t be able to be used anymore. So far, I’m satisfied with Guardian but I’m hoping that everything is perfectly accurate with the towers that my old system wouldn’t have worked. Because I only had two months left on the contract and would have been done with them. Then if I would have told them no, they’d have probably said, they’d like to do it now and give me $24.95 every month which I would have saved some money. I’m up to $55.99 now, so it’s a little more money too for the system.
But I do have the garage protected which I didn’t have protected before. The key fobs that I’m wanting are important. My wife always had a key fob as she doesn’t like to go to the panel and is confused as to what to do. The key fob always worked excellent for her. All of a sudden one forgets the pass code and it gets scrambled. With the old system, it intimidates her so she gets nervous so the key fob is definitely going to work for her too. She can’t handle it right now but that's a big chunk out of my budget.

While we never had any issues with Guardian until we moved, it's become a nightmare. Since we had a great salesperson and installation initially I wanted to call right away when we moved to transfer our service. The salesperson on the phone was nice enough however when I received the contract via email for transferring it was over $1000 in equipment and installation fees. When we installed in our home previously it cost $250. Now sure, a bigger home will require a few more door and window sensors but certainly not $1000 more.
I asked that he cancel our service considering the price to move equipment was ridiculous. Now they're saying we're locked in for another 27 months with a service we're not using in a home we no longer own. Fine, a contract is a contract but there's no way out? No fee to pay to break it? Be extra careful before dealing with them. Great for first time buyers but they won't take care of you as a customer long term and will gouge you if you try to transfer services to a new home. Disappointing end to an initially good experience.

In New Jersey Guardian uses spectrumcon for dealer and buys back the contract. I have a chop alarm. Half my window don't chime. My rear door don't work. I should have a welcome for the burglar. Both companies know each other even paid day. My alarm is existing. Only the keypad and control panel is there. I had false alarm on fire. No communication 1 time with monitoring. Beware no satisfy 30 is not allow with them, only money.

I do quite a bit of traveling and I’ve got two young kids and my wife at home. So we decided that we want to go ahead and put a security system. Our builder suggested Guardian. We got fire, police, ambulance, emergency contacts included in our service package. My point of contact, Eddie, has been really good. He never answers his phone but he’s always good about calling me back or sending me a text or an email. He’s just been very polite and courteous on the phone.
They also installed all our communication lines. The night before we were getting ready to see the house and do the walkthrough, I got an email from Eddie saying that we never put in our construction plans where we wanted our communication ports installed. It was last minute and something that should have been done months ago. We communicated back and forth a few times and thought we had it all figured out. The next day, the guy installing the cable, ethernet, phone, and the security system came. One of the lines wasn’t in the appropriate place and I made it pretty clear to Eddie that I wanted it above the fireplace.
The guy pulled me aside and said, “Well, I could put this line for your for $10 less than what Eddie would charge you.” And that was pretty suspicious. I called Eddie and explained the situation to him. Rather than have to pay that guy, Eddie went ahead and he put that port for me free of charge, which was good. I think that was the right thing to do. But now, that port is giving me trouble. I was a little aggravated because I scheduled an appointment for what I thought was this Monday for them to come out and fix this ethernet port for our TV. They didn’t come out and I called them, and it was the following Monday when they scheduled it. We’ll see what happens on Monday. But with Eddie, everything has been pretty good with him so far, and I haven’t had to use this service at all yet.

Guardian has an excellent system. Our service package includes three door sensors, smoke detector, motion sensor, and two keypads and it was the simplest package that offered good coverage for the main access points into our house. We did the system pre-build and our sensors are hidden versus on the outside of the doors. It's very simple and easy to operate, and I like the fact that there's an app for it so if I run out of the house and do something, I can click a button, it's armed and I've got that peace of mind. In addition, the sales rep explained everything such as what exactly would be offered with each package and what this service would cost monthly.

My daughter and son-in-law highly recommended Guardian Protection Services. This is my third security system but this is the only one that seems to do exactly what I had expected the other ones to do but didn’t. So far, I love it and I want it to stay that way. Their sales rep was very polite. He did everything he could to teach me all that I had to know about my alarm system, understood exactly what I wanted out of it and saw that that’s what I have. He even installed the whole thing. He was also very neat. If I had given him a mop and a broom, I’m sure he would have cleaned up. I would recommend him to anybody that has to have or wants a system.

I wish I had never let the guy from Guardian Protection Services in the door. I thought he was from ADT because he said he was here to update my alarm system. I did not know that he was not from ADT until he had the paperwork all done. It really aggravated me afterwards the more I thought about it. He talked me into ordering the heart monitor to wear around my neck. I wish I had never done that. I wish I'd get them to take it back. I'm 82 years old and it's a good idea for me to have one but it’s a pain in the rear. I live alone and if I pass on and die, I'll die. I won't wear it because I don't like anything around my neck and when I sit at my computer, it hits the computer keyboard. Instead I'll put the monitor in the drawer and leave it there. My payment also increased from $38.99 to $50.99. I just don't like the system. I wish I had never signed up for them.

Our experience with Guardian has been nice. I had a plan with another company, but with just a $5 difference on what I was already paying, Guardian offered the camera and medical alert. Those two were added and so far, I'm very satisfied. Their sales rep and installer were very nice. The rep came back the next day to help me switch to Guardian, which was a mess due to the people from the other company, but he got it done. The gentleman was efficient and fast and they all did a great job.

My husband's got Parkinson's. I then got him the medical alert system from Guardian, so that when he falls, he could get help. I also got the glass breakage and then the heat sensor. So far the service is great and I am so satisfied. It’s a little expensive though. I also loved the sales rep we dealt with as he’s fantastic and was all into the service. He really took me through so I understood everything and he was great with my dogs. Anybody that’s good with my dogs, that’s okay in my book. The installer was great, too. He was really sweet and went over stuff again to make sure that I understood everything.

I used to be with ADT. Then a guy named Drayson came to my door and told me all about the features of Guardian. He took his time with me and made sure to let me know that it was part of GE, Guardian and Skyline. He explained the different packages and then we chose what would suit my needs. Then the gentleman called Tanner came and installed it. He's very kind, helpful and explained everything that he was doing step by step. He also wrote down quick instructions for me and went over the book and the panel with me. He set it up for every window so that it says what's open. He also added security for another door for me, which I had to pay $50 for. Then he cleaned up anything that he was working on and got rid of all the trash. I also have the fire protection added where he installed a fire detector that's hooked into the system and that's something I didn't have with ADT. And this system is wireless, whereas with ADT, it was wired.
Afterwards, I got a couple of phone calls from Skyline and the salesperson who made sure that I filled out a paper to notify ADT that I was canceling. Then he mailed that for me and reminded me to make a phone call to them to make sure that I wasn't being double billed. So I did that and when I called back, the lady explained to me, gave me a fax number where I should send the bills for when ADT could be cancelled and when I started with Guardian so that I would make sure I didn't have to pay two bills. Also, the salesperson gave me a new key fob, because when I checked the old one, it wasn't as good as the new one. So far, I like the system because it's pretty simple. Overall, I had a great experience with Guardian and I've also recommended it to friends.

When I bought my house in 2013, I did installed Guardian as our home protection provider and now I am regretting. We got 3 false alarm because of motion sensor. The technician who came here two times are inexperienced and he couldn't find out the issue. Escalated to customer service and they offered to send another technician. But why are they sending inexperienced person for the first time when we raise the issue? In addition, I asked what's the next step if the technician couldn't figure out the issue. They I can just bypass all the motion detectors... Is that the solution I should get from the customer service? I am seriously thinking of switching this to another one.

The Guardian installer was on point and installed our system pretty good. He was real nice and polite. However, I got a problem with the billing because the first people that sold the job came back to my door, took a picture of my debit card and said that they didn't receive a payment. It came off my bank card so I don't know why they didn't receive the payment. They said they will straighten it out and get back to the office people. They would send me a text either saying that they'd figured it out.
But, I stood there and let them hear my bank statement where it came out on the bill. My bill ain't due until the 27th, so I don't understand what's going on with the billing. Nonetheless, the service has been fantastic so far. The very next day another person came by trying to have me drop Guardian to get a better service. However, the only difference was the cameras on the house and that's no big deal. I don't really need the cameras. I went ahead and stuck with Guardian.

My daughter and son-in-law wanted Guardian Protection Services for me and his mother. I got the doors, windows, motion and fire features included in my package. The installer was very polite and nice. However, he had a lot of trouble with his computer getting it all lined up and it took him a long time but other than that, the installation was fine. I've only had it for a day and a half and used it a couple of times so I'm still a little confused but I'll get it.

I have Guardian Protection Services for about a month now and I’m satisfied so far. The sales rep would call in every month and would check the system. The only thing was that I was under the impression I was not connected to the system. I noticed the other night when the lights went out the whole system goes out. The installation guy was a nice young man. He went around to the back and connected me to the ground system, to the lights and everything. Now we're attached to the lights. So when the lights go out my system is down.

I've known Guardian for a long time but we always had ADT and the only reason we went with them is because ADT wouldn't give me a good rate whenever we moved. My package includes security, fire and medical and I have access online through my phone. It's on my windows and all my doors and the installers didn't have to install because the house that I moved to already had the system in here. However, they did replace a couple of them and did a fine job. It was easy to request the reps to call me but it was very difficult when I try to call them and get a response. So it took a little while for me to be able to get in contact with them but they are willing to help out and I'm completely satisfied so far. I also have a couple of windows that aren't working properly and they were very prompt at saying they will come out and repair them so they're coming tomorrow, Friday, to repair them.

I like Guardian so far. I got the 24-hour security service and they're pretty good. The installation team showed us everything we needed but every time you open a door, this thing will tell you your door is open and I don't like that at all.

Company has the worse billing I have ever seen. I originally got a bill for $250 for the two months. I was behind and one day later I call to take care the amount and I was told by customer service that they couldn't give me any details because they had sent me to collection. After I call collection the amount they was telling me that I had to pay was $394 to reinstall the service or a $2460 if I choose to cancel the service. This is the first time I seen a company try to charge for the whole contract if you want to cancel the service, which is insane.

We got professional monitoring and the emergency alert thing for my wife which she wears around her neck from Guardian Protection Services and I’m supposed to get the app on the phone to control the system but my phone won’t hold it because of the type of phone. I’m pretty discouraged about the last one. The only complaint I have was about the app. They’re saying that I should be able to get it with my android phone. I did a little research on the computer and there were multiple complaints about the same complaint I had. It works well with the i6 phone but there were multiple complaints trying to get it to work properly with the android. They brought me over two button things that I could use when I’m near the house. I could hit the button and disarm it or I can disarm and arm it while I’m in the house with just the remote.
Also, every time somebody opens the door, I get alerted and it irritates my wife. So I have to find out how to disarm that especially when we are home. It’s a great idea myself but it just irritates her and I don’t know why she’s upset. If I’m not home and somebody comes through that door, and she forgets to lock the doors, she’s alerted.
During the setup, the installation team showed me how to use the alarm. I was satisfied with the two-man team that came and went over everything with me to get me to purchase the system. It was helpful when I called them. They made things easy to get it going. Customer service contacted me a couple of times. One time was when the alarm went off and I was in the house. I was carrying the remote in my pocket and must have hit something.
