My neighbor has Guardian Protection Services and that’s what I wanted to get too and so I did. Their reps were friendly and helpful. Their installers came in and did all the installation and got it to work. They walked me through it before they left. I like the features of the system. It's able to open my door, close the garage and activate my alarm through my phone. Having the system is better for me. I'm hardly ever home so I can see if somebody is breaking into my house. So far, everything is working great.

We have an upgraded system with Guardian and it's better than our previous security system, ADT. But I had an issue with the garage door remote being registered online frequently and I noticed the last night when we came home, I couldn't open it using the app. But the new system with the remote access is very good. Also, the salesperson who came to the door was fantastic.

I used a different home security system before Guardian and I had to have another company for my medical alert. I liked that with Guardian, I don’t need that anymore. The rep, Anthony, was pretty good. He was very personable and respectful. The installers were the best bunch of young men I've been with in a long time. They were very cordial and very patient. They cleaned up as they went along.
I like my service with Guardian so far. I did have a problem, but it's remedied now. I also have monitors in the house and I like them. At night, I can go through my monitors if I hear someone and I like the fact that it’ll go off. When they were installing it, they showed me how to use the alarm and if I needed the police, I’d do a silent alarm. They didn’t turn it off until we looked up and the police was at my door. We all fell out laughing.
I don’t have any complaints but I really would like somebody to come back and go over things again with me. I'm 76 years old and my husband is 80. I have the book, but I'd like a comeback and then I can mark stuff in the book. Our area is where seniors have lived and I've been in this home 56 years, so security is very important at the times that we're living in right now.

The guy who came over and talked to me about getting Guardian did a lot of double-talking and tricked me into switching alarm companies. He was talking really fast. The next thing I knew, he had me signing something and before I knew it, I already switched alarm companies. I didn’t like the way he fast-talked me into this. I would have rather stayed with ADT but now I’m stuck with Guardian for five years and I’m paying more than what I was with ADT. But the installation was done really good and in a fast manner. The technician was good and I liked him. He was pleasant, didn’t fast-talk and slowed down to explain everything. He really set me up with the knowledge to run this alarm system. The features are good, too.

The sales rep was really good. He was the one who sold me my old system eight years ago. I was satisfied but he offered me a better deal and I took it. He showed me the installation of the system and it was almost the same thing. He used a lot of the parts from the other company and it worked the same way. I didn't change my code number and none of the other stuff. We talked and he got it all together just like he said he would.
I liked the system. He gave me something to wear on my neck in case I have trouble falling and in case if something happen. All I had to do was press the button on there. However, before Guardian, I had another security system for eight years and right now I'm having problems because they are both sending me bills. And I've been with Guardian now for two months. So I called them and the man said he's gonna call the Better Business Bureau and get it straightened out and that one of the payments will be given back to me because I don't want to be paying $40 and $40 for the same thing. They also told me that if they didn't in three weeks, it should be taken care of and he'll call me back. If not, I got to get a hold of them. But everything else is fine and I'm overall satisfied.

I have used Guardian Protection Services and I've switched it from one house to another. The person that I talked to on the phone for the initial move was excellent. Then the installer, Randy, was personable and wonderful. He was there for the length of time, through the installation and everything. He removed his shoes and wore his house shoes so I felt comfortable with that respect I set. We had conversations and it was like a buddy coming over to do some work around the house. When he went out, he’d let me know and when he came back in, he’d let me know also. I was very pleased with the installation.
I've had to call in for an alarm because that was not setting it right because my pet set it off. I meant to push the “stay” instead of the “all on”. I got a call back from when I had to question to make sure I said it right but I realized what it was. The person was informative. I use the app so I know when the doors and windows were opened and closed. That’s a good feature to have. However, I wish the camera was included because being able to peek in on the house every once in a while would be a better benefit versus having a little notification that keeps going off. Or maybe the notification ring could be changed because you get a little nervous every time you hear the notification. So far, my experience has been good. It’s economical, sensible and peace of mind was added. I just have to remember to cut the thing on and off and the pass code and password as well because both my grandmother's and my system are on my phone.

I previously had Vivint but they didn’t seem too concerned about coming out and fixing anything. They always told me that we’re guaranteed for the life of the service but they would never send anybody to fix the system when I called and told them we had problems. Guardian is more convenient as far as having the camera and using my phone to do everything with the thermostat and the alarm and check my camera, too. I like all the features of the system. I also like the panel on the wall a lot better. It’s just like using a tablet. I had trouble with Vivint's smoke detector so they’ve put in a new one. They also replaced one door sensor that had gone bad. I got everything that I wanted and so far, the system's been very good. A Guardian technician showed up here to make sure everything was hooked up about a week after it was put in.
The technicians were great and really helpful. However, the salesman from AMP has made a lot of promises that he hasn’t kept. They still haven’t fixed the problem I have with getting rid of Vivint which they said they would. And now he just wants to ignore me so I’m not happy about that. Usually, he’ll answer when I call. But he always says, “Well, just hold on and wait.” And I tell him, “Dude, I can’t wait. Vivint is still trying to keep me out of money. You need to talk to your superiors.” I’m going to have to call his boss because he still hasn’t informed them. And I’ve already filled out complaints to the Better Business Bureau and Vivint is ignoring them. He also promised me that if I wasn’t happy, he would come and take it out. So I called and told him that I can’t be double-charged. He's going to have to come and take it out. He told me that was only for the first 3 days. I told him it was supposed to be for 30 days. So now I’m being double-billed by Vivint and Guardian.

We had Monitronics when Guardian came but we liked what Guardian offered with the camera and updating the service box that we were using. It sounded like it was something that we wanted. We met Joe and his assistant, Mike. They were both very nice and very informative. They answered my questions and I was able to look some things up on the internet while we were talking to see what some of the reviews were about Guardian. We felt it would be the right thing to do. We still had a one-year contract with Monitronics so Joe said that he would buy out that contract. We agreed with that and Frank, the installer, came in that afternoon to install.
Joe asked me to write a letter to Monitronics saying that we were switching to Guardian and that we were requesting what the payoff amount would be. So, I sent that to Monitronics. We understood that it was 80% of what was left. A week or so went by and I kind of forgot about it and then I got a letter from Monitronics saying they had received my letter and that they would require us to pay the entire balance - that was their rule for ending a contract. I was trying to get a hold of Joe and I couldn’t at first. I finally got his number and talked to him, but that was after I went ahead and paid off the contract with Monitronics myself. And when he called back, he asked would it be all right if he paid me back that $150 a month and I told him that’s okay. I said, “The thing is I had to pay it. It's our credit and that bill was going to be ongoing until I paid the final amount. We couldn’t afford to be paying two security bills at the same time." That was the last time we talked. I also sent Joe copies of my transactions with Monitronics and a copy of the certified letter that I sent Monitronics.
Then the very next day, I got a message that said that they weren't receiving our signal in their main office. I was trying to get my iPad to work for the camera and it wouldn’t work either. I was heartbroken. I called Guardian and they told us that they had a general outage but it's been fixed. So, I was happy to hear that, but it still took a couple of days for me to get my iPad to work in coordination with the camera.
Other than those, they were helpful. They were kidding around and trying to cheer us up a little bit. Personality-wise, they were very pleasant. We had a fairly good experience with them considering the day of the installation was when our dog died. We were pretty much secure to begin with but Guardian was an extra bit of security that we felt we needed. Our neighborhood unfortunately has changed over the last 20 years and it's not as safe as we would like it to be. For anyone thinking of switching and their contract is almost over, I would definitely recommend them to switch to Guardian. It was overall a good experience with quick resolution of any issues that we had.

I had an issue with what the salesperson said versus what Guardian said after everything was installed and activated. I contacted their customer service after the fact and it was about two weeks before they finally resolved the issue. There were items that I paid to have installed like the electric car plug that were not installed. I also informed the sales rep that there were other items that I wanted to integrate into the security system and I was told that would be fine. But when the techs came, they said they could not do it and then the ones that they could do, they would have to charge an additional installation fee even though there was already an installation activation fee upfront.
We called the salesperson and I had him on speaker phone. The techs could hear him saying there shouldn’t be charge, but when they called Guardian, they said there is a charge. Eventually they told me that what the salesperson told me was incorrect. Regarding the plug that was not installed, they said that they shouldn’t have offered that because they don’t do those.
But the installation worked pretty well. The techs showed up and were very professional. I did not have any problem with them. The only thing they ran into was when they were integrating items into their system. They had to call their headquarters and I was told that there was an additional $85 per half hour charge and about $17.50 each additional 15 minutes. It was ridiculous, but at that point I did not have an option because I already had all our stuff installed in my home. So, I just went and have them activate it. I had to go back and forth with them and last week, they finally agreed to take that $85 charge off.
But I like a lot of the mobile options that are available through my Guardian system. Though it's not unique to Guardian, I like being able to do stuff online. So, I'm pleased with those features that are offered to me. And the device is working fine so far. It's a good equipment. It's nice that I get an alert on my phone when stuff is happening so it definitely increases that sense of security. However, I would tell others to talk to the tech instead of the salesperson and make sure everything is in writing.
I am sorry for the initial difficulty but I am happy to see that things have been worked out and that you are taking advantage of your Guardian Protection Services home security system and enjoying the online features which, I agree, are super convenient and offer extra peace of mind. I'm happy with Guardian and everything has been fine so far. They are professional and they're keeping pretty tight security. But the first time I reached to them was not very easy. They insisted that I didn't have my password. I know that we had discussed the password, but I did not recall that we actually set up a password and this password wasn't on any of my paperwork. I was thinking that we didn't set up one yet, but that's all been resolved.
The technician that Guardian sent was very informative, though a little bit louder than I wanted him to be because I own a spa. But he was able to walk me through everything. I've looked at some of the movies and I am getting emails when the system is armed and disarmed. And that's really working good enough for me. I have less worries now that I got Guardian for my business.

Called about service, they came & didn't do anything. Called again to cancel & they said they would look into what happened, & get back to me. They never did. I'm going to cancel. The service so far stinks. Seems like they don't care about customer service. I've been w/ them 15 years, & this is what they give me for loyalty.

Expensive monthly rates. Equipment is outdated. Did you ever consider outside cameras. This would allow the recording of what is going on. Costco sells this type of system for just a few dollars. With cell phones I should be able to review my property at any time and record it if needed.

Guardian raised my rate so I asked, "What can you do for me since I keep paying more." I received an immediate email indicating that I would get a prompt response by phone. The next day I received a phone call and Guardian reduced my rate - that's what they did for me!

A rep talked us into going with Guardian Protection Services. He told me if I get a bill from the other company, he would send me a check for it. However, we lost his phone number to notify him of the bill and we are still under a year's contract with the old company. We're paying for two different systems. The installer didn’t have to do a whole lot because I already had everything. He put in one more thing in my shed, but he got everything backward. He got it at the barn in our shed instead of the back door to the house. But he’s supposed to come back and reprogram everything. Otherwise, everything works and it's great.

We had a very nice guy come out, install the panel and set the perimeters up, and walk me through it. He showed me how everything worked and demonstrated it on the pad. He spent about an hour and a half going through the process. And then I had a couple of follow-up phone calls from them to assist, find out if we had any questions, and see if everything was working properly. We have the basic package and the features of the service are very good and adequate. There are a lot more that we could add like cameras and digital access through the phone. We may also consider adding another panel in the master bedroom and expanding the system to include some cameras at the front door and getting the doorbell feature in the future.
There is an added sense of security with the security system. We have the sign in the yard. We also have a good neighborhood watch program where everybody watches after everything. So, the system does what we need it to do and that's to help keep us informed if anything seems not normal especially at night. For the cost and price, we're getting the same amount of security service that we would with one of the major dealers like ADT or anybody that we used to be with, but Guardian has a lot more added features that we can add on which attracted it to us. However, the other services don't require us to have a minimum amount of service and that's the only negative about Guardian. We have to commit to a three-year coverage. We also have one issue where I have to reset the alarm because I'm getting a false reading on one of the windows. But other than those, the system seems to be working fine. It's also easy to use.

We had a different home security system prior to Guardian and they were the same. But the one thing the Guardian representative presented was the ability to have a device on, that could notify a medical emergency that you had fallen. We didn't have that with ADT. We have now been with Guardian Protection Services for two months and I'm doing okay with it.
The gentleman who installed the system was super professional. He really knew what they were doing and was very courteous and cognizant. He did an excellent job. But the one thing that I was curious about is they have that mechanism on a watch strap, but they also left a thing that I could put around my neck or attach to a different mechanism which was attached to my belt buckle. There are absolutely no instructions on how this is done but I know that they're meant to interface with each other. I called and talked to them once but they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about or that's the way it was. We only turn the medical device on when were out of the house but not at night. I'd say to a friend they can take a look at Guardian if they were in need of a medical device. I would recommend them.

Guardian Protection Services is a very good company. You really don't need to look in any other places than them. They give you an honest deal and their office staff is very responsive. Since I already use Guardian Protection Services for my business, it made sense that I also use them at home. I use them on a regular basis and everything's always been good. I'm into home builders so I know the ins and outs of the security system and the installation was very straightforward. The technician was a really good guy. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything to my family so they would know what they were doing. They have a good system, it does what it needs to do and it obviously could do more than what I have been doing currently. But, for my needs, it does just fine. Their equipment is good and very easy to use. It works well and I had no issues at all, so that's an A plus.

My physical therapist has Guardian Protection, and he has highly recommended them. One of his clients also has Guardian. So, by listening to them, I decided to go with Guardian. Everybody was very knowledgeable and professional, but I had one problem. I have the security for the window sill and instead of having the rectangular shaped once for the windows, they gave me a little button on the window. But they changed them, and there was no problem. I feel safe having Guardian's security system. Overall, they have a great service with everything.

I've used Guardian for about six years and every now and then, I've had a false alarm but the Guardian team were right on it. My problem is that I still have an older, hardwired system and some remotes, so I'm looking at something else. I have no qualms with Guardian. They're fine. But I might be changing systems because their prices have gone up a little bit, and there are other companies out there that have prices that are more reasonable. I'd tell a friend that Guardian is fine, but I would also say to check the other security service providers and get a comparative price.

The previous owners of the house had used Guardian so the system was still in there when we moved in. We've had it for a few months and had one bad incident where they were supposed to reschedule someone out to my house. There was a miscommunication as far as they didn't think someone's going to be home. They said I needed to be there but when I called them, they said it was okay if someone else is there. But no one showed up.

I went with Guardian Protection Services because of the builders who do the welding and stuff for me at home. They've installed some lift master which will be synced with my garage opener, but they could not sync it properly, and I did not get any call or anything like that from them yet. It's been about a month since Guardian have activated my system. Also, regarding bill payment. If I want to pay my bill, I need a computer. I don't see anything in the app. I have to login on the website. However, the local office agent I spoke directly with and the person who came for the activation were good.
The motion sensor for all the doors is good. I feel secure, but the pricing is a little bit high. Other companies seem to cost a lot less. They'll give some extra hardware without any charge. Let's say, I don't have the windows break sensor, the other companies will just give the hardware free and they can install it. That's what I heard from my friends. If I want to go get that in Guardian, I'm going to pay $140 or something like that. However, I will continue the three-year contract now, so I cannot do anything.

When my parents passed away, I moved next door to their house and kept their Guardian Protection home security. I also had it at my other house. So, both houses and my shop have the security system. My brother also had it in his home that’s on the farm. Guardian’s employees are very trustworthy. You can walk away and leave them in your house to install the system. Also, their response time is pretty good, and I need that for the smoke alarms. Since I live in the country, if I’m not around when there’s a smoke or fire issue, the fire department is alarmed. I’ve set the alarm off with the wood stove so I contacted them some time, and their customer service has been fine. I also reach out to them when I have a dead battery or when fixing the security system from time to time. I’m happy with Guardian Protection, and would recommend them.

Guardian Protection Services is the first home security service I had and the installation was fine. The only thing about it is that I could not here the little girl that put it in at all. She was very soft. I had talked to somebody else from the company about it and the guy just laughed and said he keeps having to tell her to speak up. But I’m pretty much satisfied with them. It has a feature where I can call an ambulance.

I was using a different home security system before and now I have Guardian Protection's security system. It's a lot newer and upgraded. I like the app features where I can disable and turn on the alarm from the app. On the other hand, I had a problem when the system was installed. One of my monitors downstairs wasn’t working. If I go in the room, the motion detector would go off on “Stay” mode as if it was in “Away” mode. The technician must not have known that it was there. I called in and the lady I talked to did something over the phone to get it fixed. The security system is working now.

I used two other companies previously, but I decided to go with Guardian because they were locally located versus the other company that's in Pennsylvania. I didn't have a security system for a long time until somebody happened to come to our neighborhood. That's when I decided to get one. I didn't have kids live in here anymore and it was better to have some safety measures.
Guardian was trying to reach me at one point because when they did their test, they weren't getting it recorded. I talked to a lady there and I told her the one thing that confused me about the way the system was set up. When you would put on your doors and windows, there would be two lights at the top and I only had one there, although now I have two. I also told her that I wanted to make sure that if somebody came into my house after a certain period of time then this annoying noise goes off to alert everyone. I wanted to have her check that and she did.
One girl called me and she told me to hit my doors and window and put my password in. I told her that when I put my passwords in, that's like disarming. I didn't do what she was trying to tell me to do so she had somebody else talk to me for a while. But we got it straightened out and I haven't had any problems. The one lady turned the chimes on too and there's now a sign when somebody walks to my door. I had the chimes on there with the two other companies too but I've never had them go off. I might have to ask Guardian to turn it off though for when we have company and also when there are kids sleeping downstairs in our living room.
I've only had Guardian for the past month and as far as notifying me if something goes wrong, that's a good idea. I haven't gotten calls from anybody else unless there was a problem. I spend a lot of time by myself at night and I like that with Guardian, I don't have to worry about somebody trying to break into my house. I can flick the alarm system on at night. If that person tried, I'd be able to hear him. Guardian has, so far, provided a good service and I would recommend it to anybody that's looking for an alarm system.

Guardian Protection has great service, customer friendly team, and good products! During installation the technician came on time and installed the monitors quickly and without any flaws. Since installation the only issue we've had has been with the batteries - and after I notified Guardian, they came in a couple of days to replace them! The detector rarely goes out, but one time it went out, Guardian replaced them very quickly! Great company!

We used Guardian Protection Services on a property years ago and we had a good experience at the time. Everything was as expected so I had no issues calling back up. There’s value for the cost that we were paying. We had a change in services with them a little while back. There was also a little billing mistake that took me forever to catch. But about a month ago, one of the customer service guys was completely awesome with helping, research, and diligence. The prices got fixed and I was really impressed.

When we had Guardian Protection's security system first put in, it wasn’t working right so I got in touch with them. 90% of the time, they have been friendly and helpful but they gave us a little trouble that time. They said it was going to cost us so much money but we said it's not our fault that it's not working right after they put it in. We had to have somebody come out to fix it the way it was supposed to be fixed and we finally got it straightened out.

Recently, I called Guardian because one of the latches or one of the entry ways for the doors wasn't working properly. They were able to instruct me to reset the keypad and alarm and everything worked perfectly. I also used their smartphone features a couple of times when I've gone away with the family and forgot to put the alarm on. They're all very helpful. I can tell a friend that I have the system and it works well. I'm happy and it's nice to have the system.

We’re only here in our summer house every two weeks, so we decided to put an alarm system in it and at that time, Guardian Protection Services was the most economical. We’ve moved in here 15 years ago and we still keep the alarm system because we liked it. The original contract we had was a five-year contract, but at that time they were offering a two-year thing. I said to the fellow, "Do you have anything longer?" And he said, "Longer?" And he was surprised that I wanted to go longer. And I said, "Yeah. We just want to like lock it in." Everybody seemed very nice and we've had good experiences too. The service has been great as well. The couple of times that we set the alarm system off by mistake, the response by the police has been excellent and quick.
Aside from the battery going low every five years, which is normal, everything else seems to be fine. The people from Guardian also did some repairs on the alarm system. And one time a fellow came out to add another motion detector after we had an addition to the house. That went very smoothly too. With Guardian, we always felt that we were well-protected if we weren’t at home for any extended times. Also when we weren't here, I felt that there would be some response on the property because at that time, we were 70 miles away. And price-wise, we've often recommended Guardian because my sister who has Slomin's is paying much more per month than I am. So I think Guardian is a very good company and I'm very satisfied with them.

The sales rep of Guardian Protection Services came to the house and offered to update all my equipment and do a new package deal that could save me money every month. That was on a Friday and we were getting ready to go then. The rep came back on a Saturday and we went through everything. I changed my security system over and went with Guardian. The installer of my Guardian system seemed knowledgeable and he did a good job. He got everything hooked up.
It's been a month since I've been with Guardian, and they're okay compared to my previous security system provider. The system of Guardian seems to be working okay, and we're good. It's exactly like what I had for the last four years, so I'm used to it and I'm happy with it. I used the fire alarm and glass break system that were from the previous security system, but the Guardian guys updated all the batteries. Up to this point, I would recommend Guardian to a friend. Everything that the sales rep said would happen, actually happened. So far, I'm okay with Guardian, and I hope that if we'd ever need the emergency alarm, that it would take care of notifying whoever needs to be notified.

My neighbors had Guardian Protection Services and the service was quickly available so I went with it. Their reps are always friendly and always helpful. They're always right there and are really good. They fix whatever problem it is or set it up so they can be fixed. The installation team knew what they're doing as well. The technicians were skilled, quick, friendly and they didn't overcharge or they didn't install excess stuff. They came in, did their job and they're done. It was fast and efficient service.
The system provides everything I need and the features are all good. They offer more features but I just need the basic service. What I have works and it's great. The smartphone feature is also nice. It's nice to be able to check and do things remotely. With Guardian Protection Services I know that my business is protected or that it's monitored therefore I don't have to worry about it and it feels good. Everybody is friendly, skilled, very responsive to needs and updates that need to happen. Overall, it's an excellent alarm monitoring company.

We have Guardian Protection for our store and home. The reps at Armstrong were real good with me. They'll do anything for me. The installers were real neat, and everything they did was precise. I have little zones on my windows, and I have one zone in the store and one in the kitchen. It's good quality and I like everything about it. The system has been excellent and it has saved me a couple of times. One time, somebody tried to get into one window that was cracked open for air. And they just broke it open and pushed the refrigerator out. But as soon as they pushed the refrigerator, the alarm went off and they got right out. So I would tell people that I'm real pleased with Guardian.

I went with Guardian Protection Services because it’s internet-enabled and it had a subsidized introductory rate. Also, the smartphone feature is one of the things that drove me to Guardian. It's easy to use. However, I wish I could add devices on my own. I understand that Guardian has the system pretty well-locked down, but I know that the system's capable of a lot more. For example, garage door alarms. I would have liked to have added a driveway alarm, something like a chime to alert you if someone came up the driveway, not something that would ever set the alarm off.
Before, I didn't think anything about going to bed without an alarm. Now, if I think about it, I make sure to set the alarm on stay at night. It’s been three years. I would definitely recommend them. As I've looked more, the only thought I have that would make we want to change is somebody's new DIY installs are probably $20 to $30 per month cheaper, but that would be my only consideration for one of those programs.

A security systems broker talked to me about Guardian and told me that the company was my best choice and I went with his recommendation. But within a week of getting the equipment installed, I ended up learning that they had sold me crappier equipment for a higher price. The monthly payments were the same as another company that would give me more. Their customer service is awful, too. Even though when I call and I'm talking to human beings, they act like I'm talking to a computer. I called them wanting to end the contract. I had called them on what turned out to be day four because of a misunderstanding of a working day. I called on a Monday because their contract said that it's only on workdays but they said, "Well for us, Saturday counts so you should have called on Saturday." So they charged me $1200, which is the entire price of the contract to get out of the contract.
I never gave them my signature but the broker had asked me for my initials so I could start the service and they took those initials and plastered it all over the contract multiple times. They started on a Monday and didn’t even send me that contract until Wednesday, past the three-day period that they grant. So it was very weird from the beginning, which is also why I decided that I was better off going with another company that offered me better equipment, a more inclusive service and also wasn’t being sketchy. I was very disappointed with Guardian Protection.

Guardian Protection Services does what it's supposed to do and we're good with that. However, I've turned off my ringer at times because when I'm ready to go to bed, I'm ready to go to bed. But I've gotten messages saying, "We had a front motion alarm detection but it was disarmed and if you have any questions, let us know." I thought that when they're in their office and it's arming at 10:00 at night and they walk out and it sets it off, they don't need to call me to tell me that. Otherwise, whenever I call Guardian's customer service, it always goes great.

I went to the mall and entered to win a riding lawn mower, but instead I won a "FREE" security system from Guardian. I thought "No problem, I'll take it" but unfortunately I didn't own my home so I had to pass it to someone who did which was my mother-in-law. So they came to set up the next day. Was thinking, "That's great because it is better that my in laws have a little bit of security." NOBODY EVER MENTIONED THAT THERE IS A 5 YEAR CONTRACT WITH A ETF OUT OF THIS. The agent that installed said the reason my mother in law signed was to state she would keep the system for at least a year before canceling. That is not customer satisfaction. So now my mother in law is stuck paying for something she really didn't want in the first place especially for 5 years!

I'm mostly satisfied with the service provided by Guardian but it cost a lot. I had a bad experience with their competition so I switched. I've only been with them a couple of months and just had my first service call with them. One of the door sensors was disabled because the original installation of that door sensor was faulty. A guy came in and replaced that and so far it's working well. My interactions with their sales and customer service representatives have been reasonably good. The people who came here to install have been good, too.

We signed up with Guardian Protection Services about a week and a half ago. We got the basic service, but we haven't armed the alarm since we haven’t moved to the house yet. Plus, I know I'm going to have to get some people back out there because we're going to do some retrofits on the windows. The guy went over just about everything with me. My wife likes that the system tells us what door is opened. The system we have now is the older system and we have a chime. We open the door or wiggle it, and it chimes 'cause of that.

The salesperson from Guardian whom I've worked with was good and she helped us in picking things that were available at the time, but the installation of our system was not so good and a little unprofessional. I talked to the supervisor of the technician and a more experienced person was sent to correct the issue. Since having Guardian Protection Services, it's nice knowing that when I'm not at home, my wife doesn't have to worry about anything. She knows that she's got protection if she needs it. The system is functional and offers good quality features. It's nice to have some more inter-connectivity though. Guardian is still working on fine tuning the equipment but I like the smartphone app and overall, it was a great experience with Guardian.

Where do I start with this company... I had the system installed when my house was being built, thinking I should support a Pittsburgh company. Wish I hadn't now! For the first year I was getting charged for services that the techs never could get working, following that I had to jump through hoops in order to get the year's charges reversed! I wanted out of the contract assuming the fees would be fair or at least reasonable... Wrong again. 1780$ to which is more than it would cost me to pay off the rest of my contract on a monthly basis!
I explained to the call center person and the supervisor that I could get way more for way less at almost any of their competitors but they insisted that with the automation package it would raise the monotype and extend my contract by 36 months. Why would anyone say, "OK extend my contract and raise my bill and continue to destroy my happiness..." Needless to say I've talked to my neighbors and if I had the time would warn any new potential customers to stay away! All in all stuck for another 14 months then they will get their walking papers! Just plain awful.

I have been a customer with Guardian for 17 years. I just moved in December, and again thought I would use Guardian for my alarm company. I have had only issues since my move. The installation was faulty causing my alarm to go off for no reason. It took 3 phone calls for someone to figure out how to override the alarm so we could still turn on the alarm and avoid the faulty sensor. It took 2 weeks to get someone out to get this fixed. Now I am having issues with Guardian charging me a $2 paper statement fee. I don't get paper statements, I receive statements by email through check free.
When I contacted Guardian (several times) to get this fixed they stated I need to be enrolled in auto pay in order to NOT get charged for a paper statement. I was told I signed a contract to this effect, which is not true. I signed a contract that stated if I received a paper statement I would be charged $2. The contract said nothing about auto pay. I don't want paper statements, I want electronic statements. When I talked to customer service, they said it was "only $2". I am not paying a paper statement fee, per my contract, since I am not receiving one. Nowhere, can I find anything about a fee not being enrolled in auto pay. Shady. Not sure what happened to Guardian. They go from a 10 to a 1 in my book.

The people in the house before me already had Guardian when I moved in. I called customer service and then I set up an appointment. They came and activated the system then I had them take off one of the things I didn't want on. It went very smoothly. I still had to take down one of the motion detectors myself and it's easy. The features offered in the system are fine and the system works well, but the app is awkward because it used to be that I could just hit the stay or away but now I have to type in my code for some reasons. Guardian helps with my security especially in the beginning when I first moved in. I'd recommend Guardian Protection Services. It's not very expensive and I can call anytime I need anything.

Guardian Protection Services was hooked up with my complex at the townhomes. They had a contract with them and Guardian did all the technology for the building. By the time I moved into my home, everything was fine. So far, the security system does the job. Its features are efficient, and I have an increased sense of security. I'd recommend Guardian.

We had Brinks at one time but Guardian's service is pretty good. I've had issues with the smoke detectors and Guardian came out several times because the smoke detectors would just go off at any given time and there'd be no issues. However, their system for perimeter monitoring is way out of price at 500 bucks a camera. You can go buy a system from another provider for 250 bucks with eight cameras and monitor them through the internet. But overall, they are very professional, prompt at service and are good.

We’ve had Guardian in our home for 10 years. We switched the phone line since we got rid of our normal phone and got a cable phone line, and Guardian did a change over for something related to that. Whenever we have interactions with the customer service representatives, it’s been positive and they have been helpful. I feel more secure since having their service, it does what we need. But the only thing is that my monthly bill is often not the same every month and I periodically have to pay an additional $2 or $4. It’s annoying when I have an auto-bill pay setup that I constantly have to go in and adjust for smaller amounts.

Guardian protects the house if I leave. And every time there was a problem, I've had it corrected right off the bat. The only thing that I do not like about Guardian is that their contracts have a revolving agreement in them. I refuse to sign the contract with Guardian or anybody else that has automatic renewal. You have to call them and tell them a month in advance that you don't want to renew. Then, if you want to quit midterm, they want to charge you for it. That's very disrespectful of consumers. So, I never have signed a contract with them. I just go month to month and they’re willing to work with me.
I moved from Michigan to Tennessee. I had one in Michigan and another one in Tennessee. I moved down here to Florida and for some reason, it's much more expensive in Florida for doing the same exact job that was done in Tennessee. I don't understand that. I would like to add video coverage for a couple of rooms inside the house, but it's so expensive. Overall, I'm happy with my experience with them, I'm just not happy with the higher prices down here for the same exact service.

I had Vivint before Guardian and there was nothing wrong with my Vivint services. The salesman at Guardian that I talked with explained the differences in the service compared to what I had and because of the pricing, I decided to go ahead and switch. He was also the one that did the installation. When it comes to quality, the two things that they had to change was the actual control panel and the thermostat. They reuse the equipment that we got already installed. I find that Guardian's thermostat is more accurate than the previous thermostat. The control panel is an updated version of what I have, but the features that I’ve seen are exactly what I was using. Overall, I would recommend Guardian Protection Services. I like the system a lot, especially the mobile app that allows me to remotely access and check in and to lock/unlock my doors. I’m quite satisfied with what I have.

We've had Guardian Protection for 14 years. We use their system for the chime coming in and out of the house. When we bought our house, they hot-wired fire alarms too and we just forgot so we're overkill on the fire alarms. We don't use the system much anymore and we were thinking about getting rid of it but it has been fine and I had no complaints with it. Also, their people are all good.

I heard some bad things about ADT but I didn’t hear anything negative about Guardian so I enrolled with them a long time ago. I was also able to get the installation at no cost of the equipment. For the most part, it was a good deal. But with the newer technology that’s out, with SimpliSafe and other solutions, I could make my dollar go further. Monitoring is extremely high and once you start getting the bells and whistles, it just goes further. Guardian is making a fortune on the monitoring. Most people that have families or to protect their assets or their home, that doesn’t make sense to pay such a high amount and then not have the reliability to match.
Customer service is great, I have more of a problem with the reliability factor and the comfort of knowing that my system’s going to work if and when it needs to work regardless if I called or didn’t call or remembered to call because you don’t know when it’s going to go down. It is not reassuring having to test and the system going offline and then you’re not sure if it’s working or not. I could have it set one night, go to bed or go on a vacation, God forbid there’s a fire or something, and I didn’t reset it, it’s not going to dial out. I’m paying for monitoring to make sure that there are no hiccups because it could be a difference between life and death and a massive loss. I don’t feel good about that situation.
I have to literally call every month to test and make sure that the system is online because a lot of times it drops off. It’s something I should not have to do if a company has true reliability with their Honeywell Guardian hardware. Other companies like SimpliSafe will use the wireless backup and the WiFi. With Guardian, I have to have a hard line which then costs me another $20 a month just having a basic line for the alarm. By the time you get done with the monitoring at $40 and then you get done with the hard line and the taxes, you’re almost at $65 a month. That’s high for me.
I’ve been with Guardian since 2004. They’ve upsold me, given me more services and they gave me the online access to be able to remotely do things. Those things are convenient. So, when I signed up, a lot of these other companies didn’t have the solutions that now most everyone has. DirecTV or through cable, you’re able to connect it and, if you do, you’re even saving more money as opposed to using cable for a hard line and then having knocked their service. Then you get banked on the double because you didn’t do a double or triple play when you could have. So I called Guardian and asked if I can have a loyalty discount? They were willing to do something if I would renew my contract for another two years. So, you could imagine how that made me feel. All bait-and-switch nonsense.
If I’m a good customer, I’ve been with you a long time, I’m loyal, reward me. Don’t reward me and say, “Well, if we do this, you have to do this.” It’s a slap in the face after I’ve already done my part. So, they expect me to do my part, stay loyal and then they’ll reward me when they should already be rewarding me for the length of time and the amount of money they’ve made and, again, with service that’s debatable. There are equal or better solutions available and for a much more cost-effective price. Guardian is trying to stay up there with the technology, but they’re using it as a leverage to just increase their revenue.
I also don’t like the fact of having a contract. Most people need that type of thing and that’s what they have to assure that you’re going to stay with them. If a company has great service, support and reliability, I shouldn’t need to be held bound by a contract. I should stay with them because they’re a great company and they have to stay honest and keep their service where it needs to be as opposed to knowing that, “Well, we got this guy. He’s in a contract. And that’s it.”
As a business owner and them being a business, I can’t blame them for that. But you start being competitive with the price because you can have all the functions in the world. And, accordingly, to do business with the masses you’re going to get a select few as opposed to SimpliSafe that’s going to have a majority share because you’re not really doing anything better. You’re just paying a lot more. Two years is also a long contract, a year I can deal with. But I’m really not sure that I’m gonna continue with them when I expire later this year.

I had Guardian for three years when I was in Maryland. But I rented out the house there and I moved, so I started a new service her. Guardian's representatives were very prompt. They came exactly when they said they'll come out and they did exactly what I asked them to do. They were very punctual and efficient when everything was put in. And the system is comprehensive. The equipment is nice and exactly what I expected, which was all great. The only thing is I'm not too sure how to use 100% the features of that system. They showed me the menu and everything but they went through it so quickly. I looked on the website because I'm only at 53% of all the features that are being used right now, and I'd like to know how to get it on my phone.
As for the installation, it was smooth since there was a pre-existing system that the seller had and a lot was pre-drilled. It was just a matter of swapping the equipment out. The technician came out and he was done quickly. So now, it feels better. Especially since the back of my house is backing into an empty land, so I'm always a big fan of security systems. Guardian is a great security company so I'd definitely recommend it.

I moved from New York nine years ago. I had a security system in my house then and I wanted one when I moved here. My house was built in 2008 and my builder is working with Guardian Protection Services. I've had Guardian for the past nine years since and I haven't had any problems. I'm happy with them. When our house was being built, a representative talked with the way I wanted things to be and I had no issues. They did everything for us. They showed me how to use the system and we got a booklet and then they spent time going over everything.
They have been trustworthy for me and I feel a lot more secure having it. I have my alarm on as far as like sleeping at night. I have something that could alarm me if something was going to happen. If the alarm goes off by accident or anything, they immediately call us and ask us for the code. So, I like the fact that they always verify that they’re speaking to the right person. If I had to call them, they come out. I had a problem one time with my key fob, then a guy came out and showed me what was wrong with it. I feel much better knowing that I have it. And I think they're reasonably priced. I also use their smartphone features and I love it. It’s very convenient. We just had the key fob before, and we only had two at that time. With the phone, I could be anywhere and I can check if the house is alarmed or if we forgot to put it on.

We were shopping for the best deal for the services provided and Guardian Protection Services' pricing made us decide to go with them. They have been helpful. We had a few service techs every now and then come over to troubleshoot camera systems, some lightning issues or outages which may have caused our system to flip. Then we'd give them a call and they would answer our questions or kind of walk us through the steps on troubleshooting. Their installers were clean cut, professional, explained where the cameras and alarm systems were. They gave us all those we needed and they performed to the satisfaction level that we were looking for. The camera systems that they have are good, and logging in the system and the apps are great, though we're still waiting for their upcoming deals and promotions.

At the end of the day our installation was originally scheduled, they called me and said the person couldn't make it because whatever they were doing was more complicated. I was a little disappointed because I wanted our house done. That's hard when you have a new house. I felt like I couldn't buy TVs until I had that security system. I had to wait another week. But once it was done, it was good. I just haven't had time to see if I could get a camera on my door so I could see when people ring the doorbell. But I'm happy with it so far.

When I bought the house, I had to keep the contract with Guardian Protection Services for another 18 months. I've been living in it for almost 15 days before the Guardian Protection people officially turned over and had me change my pass code. A technician probably did the survey then and saw the windows were not logged. I'm glad nothing happened during those 15 days, but I would have never found out. The mobile feature is good. The key entry is simple and it gives immediate access if you want to check or to control settings from outside.
Each time my door was open or not, it was taken care of. I have any questions answered. But compared to other providers, it's a little expensive. Maybe when they started with this program, it made more sense because the other protection services were not that much advanced at that time. Everybody's catching up and they are getting competitive and offering the same kind of services now. But I'm happy with Guardian's services. If Guardian offers you a good price for the service, go for it.

Very disappointed with Guardian Protection. I had them for 5 years & was happy with their services but as soon as I renewed my contract, they sold my account to another monitoring company with NO notice! All they wanted was me to sign so they could earn more money for their company when they sold their accounts. I suggest all their Phoenix, AZ customers be leery when renewing their contracts.

I am going on two months with Guardian Protection and so far, everything’s working fine and I have no complaints. I had a different service prior to using Guardian and switching from my other service was something I had not expected. I misunderstood a rep that came to our door. I thought he was telling me that Protection was going out of business and they were going in with another company. Later on, he explained he had no connection with Protection, but he was a different company and he was offering me a little bit more than what we’ve had with Protection. Other than that, everything was fine during the setup. The rep was very nice and explained everything to us and was able to answer our questions. But what I didn’t understand is that the installer was still using the same equipment that Protection had put in. He just changed the chips and the wires.

Guardian's security system seems to be good quality but it's old. Being as how my system from Guardian is very out of date, I called them a couple of months ago and talked to them about a new system. I’ve been with them awhile now so I would assume that I should’ve been able to just been updated with the new system at no charge and they tried to charge me. I don’t think I would recommend them.

My friend referred Guardian Protection Services to me. Their customer service representative was very polite and thorough. I had a good experience. He explained everything to me, up to the very last detail. Overall, he handled my situation well. He went off of whatever I needed. Also, he asked a lot of questions to make sure that I was satisfied with the service. The installation man was quick and wasn’t messy. He was thorough and took his time. He made sure that everything was working right and he was polite enough to answer any questions that I had to ask.
For the most part, I like the convenience of being able to arm the alarm from my phone. I can go to work, lay down or go out of town and have peace of mind. I'm a whole lot more comfortable. The security equipment is of good quality, and I like it. Guardian Protection Services is a great company, and so is their customer service, equipment, and options. So far, so good. I'm pleased with the service.

Moving out of state into an apartment building in which I cannot install a security system. Been a loyal customer of Guardian for 3 years, with family who have been with them over a decade. Guardian will not work with us to resolve ridiculous adhesion contract despite the fact that we've paid on time every single month for the term of the contract. They want us to pay them over $1k for cancellation, and their compromise is $500. I've never been treated so badly by any company, and the irony is that they will lose our business for the rest of our lifetimes, not to mention all our friends, family, and anyone who asks. I am floored by the lack of customer service and would never use their services again.

Guardian Protection's automatic service should be faster. Also, their team is professional, but not friendly. The features in the system sometimes work, and sometimes they don't. I had to call someone in to fix it but it's okay. I feel safe having their system, but I'm not planning to stay with them forever. But if people ask, I'll tell them to go ahead and purchase with Guardian.

We had a different home security system before. We were on vacation and my daughter said, "I cannot put the alarm on." I called the company and the woman said, "I really don't know what can be wrong." When I got home, I checked the batteries and the wireless connector and the batteries were the only things wrong. But, the rep didn't offer to say, "If you have a wireless connection, check the batteries." They weren't helpful at all. Guardian Protection Services was about $10 cheaper a month and they have the same features so we switched.
We've had Guardian Protection Services for about 5 years now. The young gentleman that came here to install the system was very polite and walked me through everything. Even though we had an alarm system for 24 years, each system is different so he helped us. He said, "I know all the information that I gave you is a lot. Do you have any questions or concerns? You contact customer service, we're good to go." So, we were happy. Their people were also always helpful. I had called because I wanted to set up an account for our pet sitter. The rep said, "You know, this is all you have to do. You just set this key, you ask the pet sitter to punch his or her four-digit code and that's what she would use or he would use for the pet sitting." But our pet sitter at that time was young. She lives next door and she said, "I really don't want to set the alarm off." So, we didn't set it up but it was fairly easy.
I like having the security system. That's peace of mind when I lay my head down at night to go to sleep. I feel safe. It's extra protection for us. My brother has a leading security system and I told him, "Look, I have Guardian. I changed from one of those top security systems many years ago because their customer service just didn't come through. This is who I have. Any questions, just give me a call back." I tell people all the time that we have Guardian and that's less than $40 a month for us. So, it's almost a dollar a day which is fine. That's a cup of coffee if you go out somewhere to get on the way to work. For me, it's worth it.

If I have something wrong, I can call Guardian and they’ll tell me they’ll send somebody out in such time and they're here. They also answer my questions and don’t make me feel like I'm dumb. I'm pleased with them. I live on a slab, so installation really didn’t have too much of a problem. They put something in the attic, corners, dining room and hallway. Then when I had my addition put on, they put them in the back. They were very clean and I had no problems at all. I've had calls from ADT and all these other companies telling me to switch. They’ll give me a better deal so I said, “Look. I've had Guardian for a long time and I am not about to switch.” Simple as that. I would recommend Guardian.

My builder had a tie-up with Guardian Services so we ended up with them. I took the centralized vacuum system and when I was interacting with the representative, he promised there will be an outlet in the kitchen, but that didn't happen. When I called in later, they said it was an additional charge which I was not aware of. When one of the parts was broken, I called them as well. The guy shipped me the part fast and someone let me know. So far, everything's good and we used the system a couple of times. Going forward we might use it frequently.

My home developer set up Guardian Protection Services for me. The features that I got were laid out to me based off what Guardian offered and my previous security system. The price is pretty much the same. The only incentive I got enrolled with Guardian was the fact that they were integrated into my developer. So, the experience is pretty much seamless. It's been great with Guardian.

Guardian Protection has been great. I got the sensors, the door alarms, the surveillance cameras outside, the security panel, as well as the recording, all for remediation. The reps were very courteous and all interactions with the installation team were positive, so they went through it very well. They talked about how the system worked as well as the features, did a great job installing it, and were well organized. The overall experience was fantastic. The consultation went great. Within a week or two, we actually had the system up and running, and I'm satisfied with what the results came to be.

I just moved into my place and there was no security system before. I went to one of those home shows and I talked to the guy there. They demonstrated everything Guardian Protection had to offer. He seemed knowledgeable and I did like the features that it had. We made an appointment for the installer to come out. He's pretty cut-and-dried. He put everything in and added the apps. Then there's this thing that goes on the mailbox wire so we don't electrocute ourselves when we push the button. He said that mine was out so I needed a new one. I had rescheduled him to come back. The guy that came back was super nice and fixed it right away.
On our first night here, we were just starting to move in and our beds weren't set up so my daughter and I were sleeping in the dining room, watching a movie on the computer and some guy did try to break in. We actually watched him walk up the steps and try to open the window. Now I feel safer because there's the window sensors. But It didn't cover all my windows and the guy that came out knew that I had been broken into so he gave me a couple of extra. So I feel so happy.
I also like that the camera comes in really good on my phone and that I can talk to the person no matter where I am. It'd be more costly but I would love it if they'd had a back camera since we already have a front camera on the door. But, they're really on top of it. The sound goes off every time someone goes in and out the side door or a window opens. They let me know even though it's day time or night time. And it's affordable. We're very happy with it. I do feel a lot safer having every window monitored. I really would recommend it.

There were only a few options in the area and Guardian seems the better of the two. So far, everything is fine with Guardian and I'm satisfied with their service. It does what it said it would do and sends the police when it's supposed to send them. The install people were always very professional and prompt. The gentleman who came to the house to install the system was always very knowledgeable, very polite, very friendly, and very fast.

When we bought the house, the sellers told us they had Guardian Protection Services. We continued the contract and when I called to ask about the system, everybody I spoke to was pleasant and professional. They did send someone who looked over everything and he was fine. He replaced the lock that wasn't working quite right and it worked out pretty well. I also do have the app on my phone and had used it. It's great, very easy, and intuitive. My Guardian security device seems to work the way it's supposed to.

Guardian protection system was already installed when we bought the house. I had a technician put in a new keypad and he did a phenomenal job. Everything is transparent behind the walls. I like it that the telephone number is on the keypad itself which is very convenient, instead of needing to keep it on my phone and search for it. If I have a problem, I'll call them. In addition, I have the Wi-Fi capability to be able to turn it on and shut it off through the app on my phone. We have housekeepers come in and I don't give them the code. They call me when they leave, then I put the alarm on remotely.
I do the same thing with my thermostats in the house. I have a house here and another one down the Shore - they are Wi-Fi connected. I called their customer service once to ask about the delay factor between the alarm going off and police response, and they told me what the process is. Their customer service is good, they're available and they answer my questions. Guardian's security system works.

When I went to the design center to pick up everything for my house, Guardian Protection Services was there and I liked their product. All of of my interactions with their sales reps were fine. Also, the person who came out to install was fine. The only thing was whatever they installed the first time did not work exactly after a while so they came out and fixed it, so that's nice. Everything's been fine with Guardian. The only thing I don't have installed yet is the doorbell feature because I don't have my internet yet.

A friend of mine who used Guardian told us about them. We then purchased Guardian's services, although they haven't finished with the setup yet. We still have the cameras to put in. Part of the reason is we were going to get a tablet, so we could run everything through that. We don’t have our computers yet so they held up on finishing it up until we got that so they could show us how to use all those equipment that we got. We called them last week but we haven't heard back from them. Although when their sales rep came over and talked to us, they were really knowledgeable. But since we haven't been shown how to use the equipment yet, we also haven't turned on an alarm yet.

I'm a manager in a Nissan store and we've had Guardian for 11 years at that time. It seems like every time the alarm went off they were pretty quick to respond. We have three franchises now and they're all under Guardian Protection Services. So, when I bought my house five years ago which is just a little bit outside of town, I started researching all the different companies and had it boiled down to ADT and Guardian. The sales rep almost messed it up for Guardian that was there at that time. He was an outside, independent guy, which I don't think he knew what he was doing. So, I deal directly with Guardian and my service with them has been phenomenal.
Installation went really well. The installers that came out saw some flaws in the way the previous guy had it laid out, so they made a few changes in it. I had to have them come out and install a new keypad and some other things. But, it's always gone well. They're always clean and efficient and I have not had any unnecessary holes or scratches. Overall, Guardian's customer service gives quality care. Octavius and the other guy were phenomenal. They stayed in contact with me. They knew that I was looking for some other products that just didn't fit into what they were trying to do. I've had good customer service all the way around and I recommend them quite a bit.

I've had Guardian Protection Services for about five years now and I have no issues with them. We don't have to turn it on lately but I'm really satisfied. They’ve always handled everything. They’ve called when my alarm went off right away and made sure if I needed to call the police or they needed to.

I had an incident that happened directly across the street from me and my husband was not at home when it did. Some girl's gonna charge right in my door and her boyfriend came across the street. They had some type of dispute and he's shooting up the different neighbors' homes. It was really dangerous. And thank you Jesus, my baby was asleep in the baby bed. She and all of us could have gotten hit or killed. That's why I ended up buying my security device because I knew I needed something to protect myself when my husband is at work. I'm here for eight hours before he gets back home. Guardian gives me a peace of mind knowing I have it. I had to call 911 and they came out here and helped me and my baby. We both have asthma and they took her to the children's hospital. They were pretty fast in their response.
My mother had also told me in the beginning to get me security. She has ADT security system on her home but it was expensive. Guardian Protection Services was a lot cheaper. And it's a good experience with Guardian because they told me what time they were coming out and they were here. I didn't have to wait on them all day long. I would recommend Guardian.

We have the door chime and the motion sensors in the service package that we got from Guardian Protection Services. So far, we've had no problems with the service. We've always just called in to the Guardian team whenever we had a problem and we tried to fix it ourselves, with their help over the phone. Everything went fine with the customer service reps.

At the design center, when I was purchasing my home, I found out about Guardian. The salesperson there explained that they can set all the alarms and sensors while the house was being built. He gave me all the necessary information. So rather than shopping around, I thought it was easier to have Guardian since they were there. I got their package with everything aside from the smoke detectors. I upgraded so I could use the cell phone package as well. The gentleman who came and did the installation was also great. He was very personable, helpful, explained everything, and was very thorough. He helped me reset my PIN number on the keypad.
All in all, the customer service has been excellent, the website has been easy to use, and the cell phone app has been amazing. It’s been very user-friendly. The features of my Guardian are for security and there's the convenience of having a cell phone to be able to able and disable the alarm my home from wherever I am. I can do that even when I’m out of the country. Also, if I’m going to bed and I forget to turn on my service, I don’t have to get up, go downstairs, put in my PIN code on it or whatever I need to do. I just press one button on my phone. It's easy and it’s great. So far, my service has been perfect.

Guardian was in our house and my dad explained to us how it works. Our service package includes the motion sensor and we have the app, too. The app works well and it’s easier to arm from the phone because I could be in my room and usually do it there.

Guardian Protection called me and offered me a service package with newer equipment. It included security, medical alert, and the smoke alarm. The guy who put the system in was friendly and he knew his job. He showed me how to use everything. I like the system so far.

Our company opened in '92 and we never had another alarm system, except for Guardian. We have the alarm in the doors and the windows, as well as the feature where we can do the alarm by our phone, which I love. It also tells us on our phone when a door opens, and it's good to know if someone is coming in and out of the backdoor. We had an additional room to the building which needed another alarm system and had a few issues when that was installed, but it got fixed. The service is great. I like all the features of the system and the overall experience was very satisfactory.

Somebody gave us a phone call from SSI. We had never looked at home security before and when Guardian came out, we really liked what they were showing. We picked the package that was best for what we needed, something to protect our property. Their reps are easy to contact and they are able to explain anything anytime we have a question.
We had an incident here about a week after we got the system in. We were at church one night and my wife came in and said that we got a thing saying that the side door is being tampered with through the phone. So I came up, unlocked it, shut it off and then I come in the house. And then I figured it out. We've got two poodles and the neighbor lady has five cats. Those cats sit on the doorstep and look in the door to upset my dogs when we're not here. My dogs will then jump at the door, which will set off the system saying it's being tampered with. It's not being unlocked or broken into but it's being jostled. We think it's an outstanding program. I truly like Guardian and everything that they've done.

I started a business and I have a lot of equipment that’s why I got Guardian. I also have them in my primary residence. I use the basic monitoring and the surveillance system. It’s great and I like it. For a little while, I’ve had it set up to where I was receiving notifications every time somebody opened the door and that became really annoying so I changed that and that’s no longer an issue.
The sales representative was absolutely wonderful. She was very informative and awesome. She definitely knows her job and she’s a good asset to Guardian. Then the installation process for my business was pretty good and straightforward. A couple of guys came out and took care of it. They were easy to deal with. The installation for the home was great too. They had a technician come out. He knew his stuff, did a good job, was very knowledgeable and I was happy with the overall service.
Then the other day I was at home and I totally forgot about Guardian because I hadn’t used it in a while. I opened the garage and before I knew it, my phone’s blowing up and the alarm’s going off inside. I got somebody that’s asking me questions. I've been so nervous about everything and all these crimes that spiked up here in the recent weeks. So once we saw that, it feels good that it works. At least our home is well cared for. So overall, it's a good experience, good service, and a good value to my business and my home. It definitely makes me comfortable to know that they’re a company that’s responsive. It’s good to have some security and know that stuff’s being monitored.

Sales people came by my house years ago and I was talked into getting the Guardian system since I had a bad one. I was wary about changing stuff but the rep made me feel like I had to and then I did. So far, Guardian has been good to me. At one point, my keypad didn’t work and my security wouldn’t turn on and off, so they had to come back and address that. However, I had to talk to Guardian a couple of times because they were going to charge me for something that was not my fault and I didn’t like that. They agreed not to charge me that time. Overall, it was a good service.

My grandparents had Guardian and by choosing them, I gave my grandparents credit. I like Guardian and I wouldn't switch to anybody else. The only thing is with the garage system. If it goes off, they always call me twice. I always tell the second rep that I just got off the phone with them and they would tell me they didn't know about it. Also, when I had a window serviced, I told their guy I don't set my alarm at night because the one night it went off, I wasn't sure what door or window was opened because I can't hear anything at the back of my house and my kids weren't home. He told me that a lot of people said that and there was a smaller control panel that people were putting in their bedrooms.

My experience has been very good. People from Guardian came and installed all the monitors, and it went fine. Also, they call whenever we screw up and opened the door without remembering to turn off the alarm. The people who call and remind us that we've goofed again are always very nice.

I live in a mobile home park and no one ever comes in there besides the tenants. I don't even have to lock my doors but the guys that sold Guardian to me told me that they could bundle my CenturyLink and my DIRECTV if I took this system. The sales reps were nice guys, knowledgeable, friendly and I didn't have any problem with them at all. The only time I arm is if I go on vacation and I'm gonna be gone for a week or 10 days. But it's a pretty good deal for me because I have that home monitor system that I wear around my neck when I'm home. I'm not home right now but I am a little bit unsteady on my feet and I do fall once in a while so, it might come in handy someday. I would recommend them because I was satisfied with them.

We had Guardian Protection Services installed with our builder because of paranoia. We have a motion sensor, a CO2 detector, and a fire detector which is a standard in a normal fireplace. It was only ever been set off once and they had a perfect response. So, I was satisfied. Also, they've never messed up the bill or try to add any extra unauthorized charges. They've been consistent with that which I do appreciate.

Guardian took over our original security service that we started back around 1980. The service package I got includes the door, windows, heat sensors, emergency medical and police. We've been quite satisfied with the service. However, we had a problem a few years ago. We had internet telephone service and it was having dropouts. So Guardian's folks came out, changed the board on the main system and put in a wireless phone system that solved the problem. Also, we weren't charged for that service. I think our long-time membership covered it.
One thing that I found out with the original service was that if we made a mistake, the service would call us first and ask whether everything is alright. Then when we answered, we would give them our password and they would explain. While this was something I enjoyed with the previous service, I also appreciated Guardian being on the ball. When I get a problem, Guardian is immediately on the job.
A few years ago, we had the alarm on while we were gone. I came in and I thought I turned off the alarm and I was outdoors for a while. Then when I came around the house, there were police officers standing there. Since I went immediately outdoors and someone would've called, there would not have been an answer. While I hated that I pulled on the police officers' chains without it being absolutely necessary, I appreciated that they called us first to make sure there wasn't a problem. Moreover, I enjoyed the fact that the odds of us making a mistake are probably greater than the odds of someone breaking in.

We have been using Guardian security system for about six years. We got the basic keyboard thing up and down for its affordability. We had good customer service from their reps. Every time I called, they answered my questions and they helped me any way they could. We had a new technician come in the past two weeks. The first service call was not too good. The girl really didn't know what she was doing on the system. The system was old there and she wasn't familiar with it. But when they sent somebody new it was really good about getting everything installed and giving out all the information we needed. We haven't had any issues and we got the service we wanted.

We got our security system from Guardian Protection Services. Their sales rep was very good and the installers did what they said they were going to do. They were here when they were supposed to be here and they took care of business. Overall, they did a fine job. They were good and they also follow up if there’s a problem. Guardian was offered by the housing development and we've had it for two and a half years. The installers were good. We got a couple of motion detectors because the windows aren't censored. If somebody breaks a window and gets in, it's not gonna set off any alarms and it would set off the motion detector. Everything's been good. One time, my brother started a little kitchen fire for us and their reps called the fire department. We were pretty happy about that and we have no complaints with the service so far. Also, we use the mobile app when we're away. They have a "peek in" thing on the motion center where you can take a picture, so we "peek in" on the puppies to make sure they're happy. Guardian did what I paid them to do and that's all I asked. I'd recommend them.

We’ve had Guardian Protection Services for 14 years. We have monitoring for break-ins and smoke detection and we’re very satisfied with these so far. Since we had a nuisance alarm, we recently had somebody come out to check on the system. The sensor was losing signal but wasn’t causing the whole thing to go off. They were professional and got it all handled. Overall, Guardian has been great.

I had gone with another firm years ago that had been great but they didn't do good so I went back to the one that was installed in the house. The guy who came out was very good. They spent time explaining it and showed it to me. I really appreciate that. Also, their reps have been very cooperative since I cannot use Guardian on my cellphone because I have no idea what my iPhone password is. Guardian has been fine. They're reputable and they work.

A guy from Guardian came out here and told me all this stuff. Their system was a little better than what I have and I like the fact that it wasn't hooked into the landline. The sales rep was very nice and tried to be very helpful. But I don't have a computer and I'm not used to all that technology. I'm afraid I'm gonna push something and all the sirens are gonna go off. I still don't know how to work that keyboard so I'm gonna call him. I'm also still trying to figure out pretty much what I need to correct. Additionally, I don't have any copy of the papers I signed and I don't know what's covered. The papers I had don't stipulate any kind of contract like if it's renewable automatically.

Guardian's service package was already in my house when I moved here. It covers the two apartments that I have, both upstairs and downstairs. A few times we had the alarm go off because we opened the door quickly. We didn't get the alarm shut off in time so Guardian called us. Their representatives were very friendly. We had them come here several times to check out the system. As we call, they come right away to fix it. Their service has been very good.

We had the contract with Guardian originally and then my son bought the house from us. We’re living with our son now, and we've had Guardian for at least 15 years. Whenever we had a problem, we called Guardian and they had a man come and take care of it. We had a signal come in several times indicating that there was a problem. As soon as we called customer service, the gentleman came out and took care of it. I was here when the gentleman recently put the new battery in. We asked him several questions and we were satisfied. From the time we’ve been with Guardian, we have been satisfied with the service.

Guardian Protection Services was mediocre, the same as everyone else. No one was doing it above and beyond. I had an experience where my battery went dead in about two and a half years and I was overcharged for that. I called and they helped me finally locate it but once I found the battery, I paid twice the price. And then, I had to pay top-dollar shipping. So, I had to call and complain because I was paying too much and they were good about that and lowered my monthly bill.

We got Guardian's alarm system for the doors, and the service has been good because I keep forgetting to undo the alarm before opening the door for the dog. The first time, somebody called to see if I was okay. This time, my granddaughter was at the house and she has picked the code. So when it went off, she punched in the code, which I also punch in but I don't know if I'm not punching it hard enough. But it shut right off and then somebody called back in a few minutes to see if everything was okay and I absolutely like that.

Someone called my husband and then he made an appointment for a rep to come out and talk about security that Guardian Protection Services offers. The sales rep was an old guy. He explained everything to my husband. My husband said yes to him. Then another guy came to install the alarm the following week. He explained what he was doing and how the machine is working as well. The package included the motion sensors on doors and an app on the phone. My husband has a heart problem. He had to buy the cell phone account so he could have the app on his phone for Guardian to call him whenever he has problems with breathing or when he falls, and if there's a need to call the ambulance or the police. We've only had the security system for 20 days now and everything is good. I recommended them to one of my friends.

With the Guardian security system, I can lock my house before I leave and I can lock it from online as well. Then they'd call if the alarm goes off. The website also works well when I sometimes use it. Overall, I'm satisfied with Guardian.

Guardian Protection Services was installed during the build. It was part of the development within the community. We had the basic security and fire alarm. If there's any smoke issues within the house, the customer service was quick to call. They were courteous and answered our questions.

Guardian Protection Services offered the wiring of our phones and television if we took service from them for three years. We then got their alarm service, and we've been with them for almost three years. We use them and pay the bill every month, but we'd never call in their services. We’ve never had a problem. I would recommend them.

I've used Guardian's commercial services for my employer. I then gave them a call to see what they could for my residence and decided to go with them. I moved from the nicer suburbs to closer to the city, so for security and for my own peace of mind, I got the glass breaks, the doors, windows and my smoke detectors tied in. I'm very satisfied with the services so far and I haven't had any issues. They came out one time and did some upgrades to the box and the main controls. The technician was very efficient. He was in and out in about 20 minutes.
The tech also helped me out because I wasn't aware of the app where I can access the system. He set it up on my phone and showed me how to arm, disarm and monitor it from there. Before, I had to rely on emails to verify whether it was set or not but with the app, I can go right into it and be able to look and if I want to set it, I don't have to go to the panel. It's a nice feature and I like it. I've also set it off a couple of times where I put my motorcycle in. I forgot that I had it set and they contacted me right away. Also, the good thing for me is that I don't like to be addressed so they only contact when they have important things to do like the upgrade. So everything's been great and I'm very pleased.

Another friend had Guardian Protection Services. I got it, too, and my experience with them has been all positive. It's been working very well and we haven't had any issues or complaints. We had it ever since 2012 and so far, I'm very satisfied.

We're getting better service with Guardian Protection Services as far as upgrading our security computer, we also had installation put in without cost to another door, and we also had another security panel put in. And then, they gave us a discount from $54.99 to $49.99 because we're senior citizens. We're happy with all that and we appreciate it. However, I wasn't clear about how the transition was going to take place financially, and we haven't gotten a reply from the person that signed us up for it. We've already been billed correctly from Guardian for $49.99, but we've also been billed for Protection One, which was pro-rated for the new month. We're double-paid. I called Guardian Protection's main office and they told me, "In the event you get a bill from Protection One, go ahead and give us a call or email to us a copy of it." I would get reimbursed but I don't know what the policy is.
When the two Guardian representatives came over and they explained to us everything, what they told me was, "All the Protection One people are to be converted to Guardian." That's the only fuzzy thing. When I called Protection One, they said, "Never heard of it or a person that would tell you that. You would have to actually call us, Protection One, to cancel your services. Otherwise, we'll continue billing."
I must have misunderstood the representative. He was talking very fast, and I was trying to slow him down so I can understand the whole process. He gave the impression that Guardian can convert everything from Protection One. That's the thing that he sold me on. If he would have said, "No, we're not going to convert you over 'cause you're a new customer," I would've asked him more questions why are we a new customer. That's sort of misleading me and not telling me that I'm a new customer. He just told me I'm being converted from Protection One. I went along with him thinking it was automatic.
After that happened, a technician came out two days later. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, 'Well, I'm going to convert you over now to Guardian. But I'm not going to replace your panels. You have existing panels so what I'm going to do is change the brains." He gave us the terminology "the brains". "I'm going to take the old brain out which is Protection One brain and I'm going to install with a Guardian security brain." I'm not technology literate, so they did it perfectly. Also, he didn't take too much time to do it and he was very efficient.

I've had Guardian for years and I have excellent experience with them. I tend to call them sometimes because my alarm goes off due to grandchildren. They are very easy to get in touch with and we have good communication. I'm very pleased with them and I feel I have security.

I got the security and monitoring videos from Guardian. Their sales reps were good and so was installation. However, I had some problems with two of the monitors and my wife was telling me that two sensors were not working properly as well. I related those to them through their customer service but they did not rectify it. They said it’s working but when we tried, it’s not. It was a bad experience.

Everything is good with Guardian. It's been fine with their reps and I've never had any issues. Also, it was good with the technicians. I used the app in the beginning and had a remote but I don't use any of that anymore. But I had unplugged my Guardian one time for a little bit because I needed to plug something in the outlet that it was at. It was only for 30 minutes or an hour at the max but since then, I keep getting a call from them saying the battery is low on our device and it might not work properly. But it's been plugged up and there's been no outage.
So, I'm assuming that it's really not that and for that little experience of it being unplugged is why it happens. Also, it was an automated message that keeps calling me to let me know about my system but it would be nice if someone called and to say what's going on and try to fix it for me. I should have called them about it but every time they call I'm at work and I never think about it when I'm there. But it's working fine other than that. I have no complaints other than what's going on.

We have nothing but pleasure with Guardian. We have accidentally set it off a couple of times and we've had no problems at all disconnecting with them. Also, they came over a couple of times because the smoke detector was messing up, but we come to find out that it was the battery and everything else is great. We've had them for over 25 years and I hope they could throw in a couple of things in it. Other than that, our experience with them has been excellent.

We’ve lived in five different states and always had a security system. So 10 years ago, I got quotes from three different companies and Guardian was the most willing to work with me on what I wanted and put the bells and whistles on without so much additional charge. Some of them just wanted to put in the basics. But I knew that I wanted a little bit more protection and easy access, upstairs windows and a motion sensors because someone could hide out for two weeks in my basement at some time and I wouldn’t know. Guardian seemed to know what they were doing, so that was good. And we had Guardian when we were in Northern Virginia. The sales representatives that had to come out were always helpful in getting us started.
The installers dealt with an existing system, which was not fun because it’s a 90 year old home. But they did a pretty good job. It wasn’t an easy job. We were dealing with some existing hardwired components and switching them over. Also, I was trying to get hardwired wherever we could because we had had other issues in other houses with the wireless system. Then they have been back since then to install the cellular back up.
We got the security system, and also have the smoke and glass breakage features. But there’s a little bit of lack in hand-off. For example, the last time I had someone come out and add something to the system was when we had new windows put in and they need to reconnect the sensors for us. I asked them to go over the zones and make it more obvious. When they called for the last alarm, it was just motion stairs. But we weren’t sure which stairs. We have three sets of stairs. So they were supposed to make that more obvious. The hand-off is when one service guy come out, it’s hard to know that that went back in the system and got logged in with the rest of it. So I was able to look at my notes and figure it out.
Occasionally the response time is a bit slow. When it goes off in the middle of the night and you’re waiting for the phone call to tell them everything’s okay, it seems to take forever. We’ve had some false alarms here lately, and had a sensor that was going out that we didn’t realize. We were out of town, so it took us a while to get it fixed. Overall they were responsive. But when the police came out and reported back that everything’s okay, it’s not automatic that they call us and say everything’s okay. They only call if there’s a problem and when the police come out. So then you’re waiting just figuring out whether the police showed up and if everything is okay.
The last incident happened when we were overseas and my parents got called in the middle of the night. So it was two or three families that were waiting in limbo. It was 4 in the morning, so my mom really thought we’ve been broken in to. But we never got the phone call, the police had come and the perimeter looked okay. Other than that, if we’ve called Guardian, they’re always responsive. And they helped walk me through fixing the battery when it was acting flaky. We’re pretty happy with Guardian.

One of Guardian's sales people came knocking on my door and made me a couple of deals on security cameras and the security system. I doubled up and got a system for my daughter's house as well and they worked with me there. The service has been pretty good so far. They called one time when my wife armed it, went outside and came back in. It went off, they called and there was no problem. Right now, I'm working with customer service in trying to get a tech because one of my video cameras is not responding and connecting. It doesn't mean the system is not working but the whole idea of having them is to photograph anybody around my house. They called today to schedule a tech to come out but he's gonna be here on Thursday and my wife and I are not available then so it just won't work but we'll get it worked out. Overall, it's been pretty favorable, very good and acceptable.

We like Guardian because they offered us more sensors than ADT did for a lower cost. We had a little bad experience yesterday. Our front door wasn't shut all the way and it still let me set the alarm. So, I was freaked out by that. I woke up, I do this every night, went back and double-checked everything. Had I not done that, we would have gone to sleep with the door open. Also, if they can figure out another way to upgrade the sensors because we're having a problem with the sensor on our patio doors staying there. It fell off twice, once yesterday and once this morning. They need the more durable things that make it stick, especially on the windows now that summer is going to be hitting, I'm assuming that the panels are a little too hot and would melt the glue. Other than that, they are reliable, great and gives us a sense of protection.

We had Guardian Protection Services before, back in Pennsylvania. So far, good. They've been very nice and very polite. The only thing is, we haven't set up the alarm. I was having trouble doing it on the internet, getting it setup to change the passcode. But, I have spoken to Gavin about it and he's going to set up an appointment to come over.

We wanted to protect our home and our family from intruders. Our builder had been working with Guardian Protection and so we chose to get the basic service package from them. Since getting the package, we get calls from Guardian whenever we have alarms. If an alarm has gone off, they call and ask if we have any needs. Guardian has been reliable and working with them has been easy.

Guardian Protection Services was a part of a package with Schell Brothers Contractors for this second home that we were building in Delaware. We went there to a two-day process with the contractor and they made all their selections. They build a home and when it was time for Guardian to step in, they were outstanding and their sales rep was fine. So, we have a full home security with motion detectors, video on external doors and all of the ground floor glass break. We also have a built-in speaker system that we haven't activated yet because we just closed in the house this past month. Anytime we've had to call in they were very responsive and have quick follow up within about two hours. So far it's great and wonderful. We've had a good experience and it was exactly what we expected. They also have good customer service. As a new customer, they've been outstanding.

We've had Guardian for over 20 years and we never changed it. We like it, we're comfortable with it and it works. They come out whenever we call for any kind of maintenance or repairs. As soon as something goes wrong, they call and notify one of our family members that we have listed. They do a beautiful a job. Also, everyone they've sent have been pretty well. They're prompt and they're pretty well a gentleman when they come out and they go about their business. They've also been understanding and when I don't pay on time because either I forgot or I didn't pay it at that time, they call and let us know. They've been very lenient and supportive. I am satisfied with it and I would recommend them to a friend.

Guardian was the system that the developer had already installed in the house and they've been okay. However, you never get the same answer twice and you have to call back and follow up. They also have the bills screwed up in the first few months but it got straightened out. It's been a routine now but it's fine. Also, the alarm system went out the other day and somebody called immediately. That was pretty nice so it was okay.
But I would not choose Guardian again for my next home. If my next house didn't already have a system in there, I would go with a different vendor because of the level of service and how the system initially started for me. There's confusion about it that went on for months. They were trying to charge me since May although I didn't move into the house until the last day of July. They couldn't even get out for five weeks to come and turn the system on, which I thought was ridiculous. Then, when the developer built the home, they sent me bills all the way and told me I had to pay it. But I didn't even own the house then and the system wasn't turned on. It was just a mess. It was basic and it wasn't anything above and beyond.

I got the alarm for the door and the windows from Guardian Protection and the installers were very friendly and did a good job. I've had the system for two weeks and everything's good except that I need the Guardian sign in front of the house. I tried to mention this a couple of times with them and they said, "We can take care of that," but I haven’t received it.

I've been with Guardian for not even a month. I'm the tenant at the house and the landlady chose it because it was $5 cheaper. I spoke with the sales rep that was there to service it and he was good. He explained everything. He also explained the mobile app which I've been using and I like it. I pay the service fee with my rent and the pricing is good. So far, my experience with Guardian has been great.

The people that used to be in my house now had Guardian before so we stayed with the company. The system works very well and the prices are reasonable. Every time I speak to customer service, they are very professional and if the alarm ever goes off, we automatically get calls back to make sure that everything is okay.

When I moved into my development, Guardian was already synced up. I met with their reps, they gave me the options and I picked what I wanted. I have the basic system with the keypad, infrared and a couple of doors. It runs fine.

I've been with Guardian for six years. The technicians were quick and professional. All my boxes are pretty wired for Guardian so it's easy to convert or move from one address to the other and transfer service. I got sensors for every window and door included on that install and then I paid extra for a heat detector and a video. The home has smoke detectors in every room but I felt that, since I have children, I wanted extra protection and I like the video aspect of it. So when I'm not at home and we're out traveling, I can still check in and see if everything's okay. I renew with them for the price of the service, their equipment, and the testing. If I've had any questions, their customer service has been very helpful. I call every other month to see how the system is doing and I never had an issue with it. It's a pretty simple program.
The mobile app is easy to use. I can drive away and arm the system. Also, when my children are getting home, they can show which one or they can just pop on and use their numbers. I like how each number represents a person in the house too so you know who's entering and exiting. Overall, it's been easy and that's what I like about it. The service in general definitely has a value to it.

We’ve had Guardian Protection Services before. We didn’t have a security system for a while, but then we got them back. We're very satisfied with their services and our package which includes the door and window monitors, and the fire alarm system. Their sales representative was excellent and we had real good interactions with their installation team.

I have the regular features and the security of Guardian Protection Services. Everything has been fine. I've accidentally set it off several times and they called me right away. Also, its alarm is loud enough to wake up the dead. I haven't had any problems with it and I'm very satisfied.

Purchased from Guardian a service package that has security and monitoring features and have them replace some of the equipment. Their service has been fine. Their sales rep was fine and personable. Their installation team was efficient and clean. They got everything installed quickly. We had a couple of issues with things not working and they had to come back and do it but they were really good about making sure that it worked the way we needed it to. Guardian has been really good to work with. Whenever we have a problem they come out and get it fixed.

We have had a so-so experience with Guardian. We've had Guardian for five years and everything has been fine up to this time. We've had some issues with a couple of contacts in our media room and it took Guardian three visits to get it fixed. We kept getting phone calls from Guardian saying, "Such and such your zone is down." And my in-laws were getting calls, and it was very frustrating. We were down for six weeks. They should never send a consultant to represent them. The first guy was a consultant and he did a terrible job. I said to the service guy who was here for the third time, "Dude, you fix it this time or we're going elsewhere. It's that simple. Contract or not, I would not pay whatever the balance of the contract was. Contract or not, we're leaving." That happened a month ago and it’s working now.

I built my house and part of building the house automatically came with a five-year contract with Guardian. So when I signed all my house paperwork, they threw that paperwork in there along with the rest of it and I didn't catch it. I wish I would have known that I was signing a five-year contract before I did it. But it's been okay. The customer support was a quick phone call to open up a work order for the issue that I found. But I fixed the problem myself so, I called to cancel and haven't had any problems. Also, the mobile app is user-friendly. I'm going on the five-year mark pretty soon. I can get more for what Guardian is charging so I'd really like to go with something else but I have absolutely nothing against them.

The Guardian Protect sales rep was good, helpful and informative. Having it gives peace of mind. We need to get in touch with them right now because the way that they installed the little device that signals on the backdoor was very awkward and we opened the door one time and it popped right off. I need to call them and see if there’s a different way they can do that. But other than that, everything has worked great and they’re just fine. It was a pleasant experience and they did what they were supposed to do.

Guardian was the first one we called and they came out and talked to us. They came out when they said they would and we liked them. The sales rep showed us how it worked and we liked the equipment. The installation team also showed us how to use it and if they left a mess, they cleaned it up. Everything was all right. The problems is that we can't get the doorbell camera linked to our phone. When they came out and installed it, we had an old modem and we weren't getting enough signal so we upgraded our modem. We followed the directions after it was upgraded and we still can't get it to go to our phone. We can turn it on and off from my phone but we can't get the camera come up to it. They're supposed to come on the 3rd to see what's going on. When they do and fix my doorbell camera, I'll be all right.

Been in my new home for over a month and services still not working. No response from any customer service to the multiple calls made. Builder had to contact and arrange everything that needs to be done. No follow-ups from anyone in the company.

I was outside and these two young men, who very nice and presentable, started talking to me about Guardian Protection Services. I said that I didn’t need it and that I live in a safe community. They were delightful to talk to and through the course of the conversation I signed up for this security system. I didn’t understand all of the stuff that they were telling me because I was anxious to get away. I was going out to dinner and signed this iPad and before they left, someone was here to install it. So now I have the system. I have something that if I were to use it, would send red light through my living room if anyone came in. It’s sort of Star Wars-ish to me because I just simply don’t need it.
I had it for a week and decided I didn’t want to live with it and wanted it gone. I called customer service three times in one day pleading with them to let me cancel, it was a large fee to cancel. The reps were young women and weren’t very sympathetic but were polite. The deal was if I wanted to get out of it, I have to pay this amount unless I can document something that I’m sick, and I of course didn’t have any documentation. I’m really dissatisfied with the way they handled it and I’m dissatisfied with myself for falling for something like this. I paid $1,400 to get out of it. I sent the payment to them with certified mail because I don't trust them. It’s so wrong that you can’t have something for a week and make the decision that you don’t want it.

I work nights and my wife is home alone. She ordered security devices several years ago from Guardian Protection Services. We got the cameras inside and the security on the doors. We've been with them for 15 years. Everything is fine and we've been satisfied with them so far. The installation team came in and installed the devices. and there was no problem. We had to have the battery replaced, and we contacted Guardian. Their staff was late getting here and my wife had to call them. But they came out and did it.

I had Guardian Protection Services for 11 years. Anytime I have a problem, the servicemen would come out and solve the problem for me. One time, some batteries ran out and I called and got their service. They told me what to do and if I couldn't do it, they'll send a service man up. They were very good. I would recommend it to a friend.

We've been using Guardian Protection Services since 1989 when we moved in. We have the typical alarm system with the fire and nanny cam. Since then, I've been very satisfied with the service. Their customer service team has been very helpful and they answer things right away. Also, their service technicians are very polite and knowledgeable. They get out here as soon as they can if something breaks down on me. However, six months ago I was thinking of going with a different company but I kept putting it off because I don't know if there's a big difference with anything. Still, I think I could get the service for a bit less since we added the nanny cam.

A Guardian salesman was driving through the neighborhood and knocked on our door and explained their system to us. We received our system at the end of March and the technician in the neighborhood installed it that night. They didn't do any damage when they mounted the panel onto the wall nor did they leave any kind of mess behind. While there is nothing wrong with the service, we're in the process of canceling it because it's an expense that we don't need right now and we're never gone. Nevertheless, everybody at Guardian was helpful while they were here.

We also got the monitors, the two surveillance cameras outside, front and back, as well as the little cabinet where we set everything on or off from Guardian Protection. We spoke with the sales rep right before they headed out to our house and showed us the product. They worked very well in explaining everything that we can get from their company. So, it was very nice, and we then made our purchase. The installation was good. There was a hole for a wire that was drilled too big. And with the way that the wire has been put, I’m afraid when it rains, the water may seep in the crack where the installer drilled. But it turns out everything else was good. So far, we’re satisfied with the services.

Guardian is a good name and I'd recommend them. Their sales reps were very helpful. They put our alarm in and took care of business. Also, the installers showed my dad how to use the alarm. After they installed it, they were very nice about it and stayed a little while and explained to him. They gave him a remote thing for life alert if he has an emergency, and so far from what I've seen, it works okay.

We looked into pricing and Guardian was comparable to other places we looked at. They were also offering some discount at that time so we went with them. That time, I was working two jobs and my wife was at home so she dealt with them more, was between jobs, and did most of the set up. She’s very picky so I can guarantee they did a good job or I would have heard about it. Their techs have been great and in the few times that we’ve had to have people come in, they’ve been very good and helpful. We’ve had one or two issues and they've been very prompt in terms of addressing those issues.
About a year ago, we did an upgrade where we went to the touch screen and added a few things. However the screen we got was very different to the screen advertised on the flyers, which looked like an iPad. They installed a little tiny-ass screen and it was not what I was expecting at all. Still, the screen we got is fine and it works but I hope their advertising matches the hardware that the people are gonna actually end up with. Nonetheless, we’ve been very, very happy with Guardian.

We've had Guardian Protection for over 20 years. It’s all hardwired, it’s got the key fob to get in and out and the motion sensors too. Also, my mother was sick, so we made a deal with them to get her one of those necklace type things and we took a $25 deductible. They charge us $25 deductible from that point on, any service call we'd have. In addition, we would pay for everything we asked for. They wanted $25 to come out and replace the key fob when it wore out. They wanted ** amount of money for something else and they were supposed to have been taken care of by 100%.
Another thing was that there's a button that sits on the door jamb so when the door opens and closes, it beeps, and it's necessary to keep the system working. If it's broken, it won't work. It's ridiculous that they wanted to charge us to come out and put two wires back together and put it back in the door jamb. I am looking at different areas come August because there’s a lot out there that offer stuff that Guardian’s not offering. Lastly, there were a couple of times when we didn't get a call when the alarm went off. The service is spotty - I may or may not get a call.

Guardian's system is not capable of securing all of my doors. I have a big sliding door that cannot be secured. Except for that, it's a good system. But every night, if I want to do anything, I'd have to bypass that door. They're supposed to be fixing it now and I haven't heard something for a while. They've had a couple of guys trying to fix it and I know it's gonna take a little while to do that. But if it can't get fixed I want the system taken out and them to repay me what I've spent on it. And I'll get my other system put back in.
The other system I had in here was a very good system and it had everything covered. Now I got to pay $600 for knocking it out. I was under contract with them. But the salesman who sold me Guardian just pushed and pushed and wouldn't stop. He kept telling me they would fix it. Now I don't want them coming back here and just taking that whole door out the system at all then telling me, "Oh, it's all fixed." Because if they do that, I'm going to be raising hell with a lawyer.

I've had Guardian for so long and I don't even think of changing. I'm protected and hundred percent happy. For my basement, I have the bars in the windows on the bottom and I have glass breakage. Whatever security feature was available, I got it. If by mistake, I opened the door, locked myself in at night time and decided to go in the garage, Guardian would call me right away. So everything is fine. I have recommended them to many friends. My daughter's also with Guardian. I'm still friends with Adam who was part of the installation team. He's a nice guy.

I never had any problem with Guardian Protection Services. They have great service. Their sales representative are always there if I need anything and they are all polite when I'm talking to them. If I need something they send it to me. It's very rare that they have to come fix anything but when they do come, they put little booties on their feet. They're clean, courteous, they do their stuff and leave. I have my security system activated all the time even when I'm in here. It's got its secret backups and it's fine.

Good service so far. However I had some issues when I changed my modem in setting up a new console wireless so I tried to call Guardian but did not get anywhere with them. We don't have anybody in the area for a couple of days while I'm going out of town. And usually, you have an alarm system for when you are away, that should be functioning and working properly. So, I turned and went back to the company that sold me the equipment, and they took care of me really well. They had a tech that was very savvy and was able to address my issue. So, it just cut Guardian right out of the middle and I didn't utilize Guardian for anything other than the monitoring.

The Guardian alarm system was already in the house that we bought. I called and talked to Linda and asked her what the price was and she was very good. She was willing to work with me. I’ve seen that one of their competitors had a cheaper price, and she was able to match it and we got their monitoring service. They only installed the cell battery. My mom was there when the installer came and she said that the guy was very friendly. The other day, the alarm went off when I let my dog out. I forgot to turn it off and they called immediately in the first 10 seconds after it went off. I was impressed. They're a very good alarm company.

I've had Guardian Protection Services for so long. My sons wanted some protection for me because I've been a widow for a long time and they moved out the area because there were no decent jobs around here. So, they were the ones who signed me up for the general security. I've never had to use it but it's there and I'm happy with it, so are my sons. A tech came one time about two years ago just to check and make sure everything was okay. He talked to me about the system, what I need and what I can use it for, etc. He was very nice and polite.

Guardian is great and we love them but I don't have their upgraded phone stuff because I have my father here who's 82 years old and those are too high tech for him. We have the normal phone system so that he uses the code when he goes in and out. He's set that off a few times and Guardian has been wonderful about that as well. Everybody that we've ever dealt with has been wonderful. We had the keypad upgraded and I left the technician here with my father, and they did a great job. Overall I'm a satisfied customer.

We recently purchased a new home and we had Slomin's and ADT come in. I had an alarm system in my other home but it was not monitored so we decided this time we are going to use the monitoring service. So, I did some research online and we decided to go with Guardian Protection Services. They did a great job and their website was very informative.
When I first called to ask some general questions, the young lady who answered the phone was very knowledgeable. She shared with me every bit of information I needed. When the salesman came out he was on time for his appointment and he first looked at the house with us. Having a previous alarm system, we knew what doors and windows we wanted to protect so between his help and our general knowledge, we chose what to do. He just made sure that we were getting the protection we needed as well as not overpaying for the service either. So, we got the motion detectors, door contacts, fire sensors and we also have the app where we can use from our phone to arm and disarm it.
The installer that came was very professional and very courteous. We had put in all brand new carpeting in the areas where he had to walk through to install the panel box and he was respectful. But, initially, we had a problem where they weren't getting our phone app to function. They said we're all registered but for some reason, it won't and then one of the owners from Spectracom, the local installer, called. He spent about two and a half hours of his time making sure that everything worked properly for us so everything was very good.

When we moved in, my wife said we were going to get an alarm and she chose Guardian. They used to call to see if we were all right when the alarm went off before. But sometimes when that alarm goes off now because I screwed up, nobody ever calls to ask what's going on. They don't give us time to say, "We messed up." Other than that, we're satisfied with the experience.

I have been with Guardian Protection Services for almost 15 years. I got their basic security package. When I open my garage door, it will pick up on the system, letting me know that the door is being opened which is a really good feature. I've never had any problems with customer service. The reps have always been very nice and their technicians were very informative. They helped me with whatever I needed. I was very pleased no matter what I've ever called them about or when sometimes my alarm goes off. They're just very good about it.

Our neighbor has Guardian Protection Services and was happy with them so, we decided to call Guardian. We've only had the system for a couple of weeks and it seems to be fine. However, the salesman gave us some kind of password which he didn't write down and I didn't even realize that he had put that in. Then, when I called up and had a question, they wouldn't do anything because I didn't have what they thought was my password.
It took a long time to resolve this matter and I had to go into this computer system. It seemed so complicated when they installed the system, and a big deal with this computer system. The technicians were fine, but it was Guardian's computer system that seemed to give them a lot of trouble. It was very frustrating to talk to the Guardian guys on the phone. Then, all of a sudden, I had what they were asking for. I just kept putting out names until they finally said, "Yes. Okay, that's it."
One thing bothered both my husband and me. We were having our monthly bills taken out of our charge account for automatic payment. When the salesman came, he asked for so much information and he sucked the payment out of our checking account. We thought that we were just giving a deposit, but we found out that we had paid in full and they hadn't even installed the system yet, and we were unhappy about that. It shouldn't have been done the way it was, and even the installers were surprised. Nevertheless, we got what we wanted - a home security system that seems to be working all right.

The gentleman from Guardian Protection Services that I dealt with came out and he was a very, very nice guy. He answered all the question that I had and we went ahead and got the system. However, the installation team wasn’t as good. They got it done but we had difficulties in the beginning. A few alarms went off and they ended up having to come back and put a different type of transmitter up in my attic because it didn’t work when they had it in the basement. They got the bugs worked out at that house but in this house, everything worked out fine from the beginning.
I called their office a month ago about the upgrades on my system and they told me that it was going to cost me to put my smoke detector in at this house and to upgrade my keypad at the other house, the house that is on the market, because I don’t want to hand out my security number to people. I said I was due for an upgrade at that house so they put me in touch with somebody from their place and they said they'll take care of it for me, and they did. They came out, put a new keypad and it didn’t cost me anything. They also came in to this house and put my smoke detector in like I was supposed to get in the beginning and they didn’t charge me for that either. So, I’m well pleased with them.

Our home was broken into in '95 and that's how we got to Guardian. They were the only home security provider in the area at the time. But I've been more than happy with it so far. Their sales representatives have all been very kind and my experience with their installation team was very satisfactory.

It's been a long time since we first heard about Guardian Protection Services. But so far, my interaction with their sales rep has been fine. Also, their installation team did just fine. I would recommend them to others.

I've had Guardian Protection Services for 12 years or maybe longer and they were fabulous and took good care of me. Their services are excellent. During the very few times that I've needed them, they were extremely helpful, and it seems the company is a family run company because their personnel were extremely dedicated. They went to the back for me and fixed me up, I live in a crime-prone area. The installation team was fabulous because I wanted certain things hardwired and certain things radio controlled. They went out of their way and didn't make a mark on the place. They're better than any expertise I had. They threaded wire into places that I know had to be very difficult, because I've done it. They were top of the line and I would have no problem recommending them. Their prices don't ever go up much too. Over the years, they've gone up a couple of bucks.

Somebody told us they have Guardian Protection and I thought their system was very good. We got their deluxe service, e have it on every window and a motion camera in the cellar. We've had them for so long and their people are very good. The service is more wonderful than ever. I would not live without the system especially now since I'm alone.

We got robbed and decided to go with Guardian Protection Services. We've been using them for about four years. It's an alarm system for when we're not here. Unfortunately, the police can't find our house when the alarm goes off and I live right on the highway. We have an inept police department. The system we have is fine except for the motion detector. The tech came out once a couple of years ago and worked on it but it still doesn't work right. It kept going off so we don't use it when we go out. We just punch it in to "stay" when we leave instead of "away and we've gotten used to not even setting it on motion. Other than that, our experience has been okay.

We've had Guardian since 1999 at this business location. We have motion detectors and it gets a cellphone signal so it's not landline anymore. I got a remote control fob on my keychain and I can turn it on and off with my cellphone remotely. I've always had good interactions with the Guardian people and they always send somebody out next day. Those who came have been knowledgeable with their job. Guardian is a great and an affordable alarm service. We have it at our house too.

Guardian was pretty much about the only company available when we got the alarm system back in the 90s. We thought the security was adequate for what we do. We had some malfunctions with our system so I called their customer service. They came out, did the repairs, and then we also did some additions onto our system which they also came out and took care of. There's never a problem and I'm happy with the service. The price stays on a level basis and the service is good. The technicians they send are qualified and know what they're doing.

I've been with Guardian for over 20 years. I had a robbery years ago and the robbers cut the wires. I was going to change to another company, but I didn't. That was when I bought the backup system. I have their monitors, the backup cell and the doors are all protected. The service is very nice and lately, the last two years, they've been much nicer than they were in the beginning. Their people have been cordial and always give me some good advice.

When we bought the house, Guardian Protection Services came with it. We're hot-wired to the police department and fire department. And we have security on the windows, in particular the window down the basement because it's a source of egress. We also have the fire and smoke alarms all throughout. On two occasions, we had to have batteries replaced in the smoke alarms in the ceiling and one at the top of the stairs. Guardian tried to explain to me where it was, and I couldn't find it. So, they sent somebody out and they took care of it.
On another occasion, one of the window indicators or alarms kept showing up on our monitor that something was wrong. So, they sent somebody out and it was rusted. They cleaned it up and put a new one in so I was happy with them. Their service reps were very friendly and polite, just what you would hope service reps would be. On two occasions Guardian charged me a service charge and I was annoyed but when I called they took it off.

When we were building our house 15 years ago, we picked Guardian because their pricing was a lot better and the monthly fee was cheaper than other companies. We got the window and door alarms and the actual keypads with our service package because they were pretty basic and we had a two-year-old at the time. Our experience with them was exactly what we expected. They did the installation very quickly then they came back and gave us a lesson or two. The service has been great so far. We've never had any trouble with it and anytime we have had an issue where it's gone off, they called us. They also call periodically to test the system. They're very accommodating and they've been a great a company to work with.

Some guy came around about a month and a half ago selling a TV thing and it's free but we had to sign up for the Guardian. The installation went fine. Unfortunately, the TV thing didn't work out so now we're basically stuck with the system we don't need, don't want, and don’t use.

A couple of guys were walking about and hooking Guardian up for their AMP system. They said that Guardian was their protection service so, they installed it and they told me I had three days to change my mind. The installation was a little long. They were young guys and it was like they cut in certain areas. They tried to hook it up and it wasn't hooking up right. It took them about three hours but they were pretty nice and they were very patient. The system is pretty nice. It let me know if I turn on and off the lights or I go to close the door. I also like the convenience because I could not have one put on the wall so, I had the plugin desktop type.
But I changed my mind the next day because it didn't make sense to put in a system if I'm gonna be in my house. I didn't know I had to cancel with Guardian separately so I went to cancel from AMP and they told me that they would take care of it. They came and got the system five days later. They took care of the equipment. Then, I kept getting reports that my system wasn't armed or this or that was ajar. But the system had been gone about five days that time. So, I wound up calling Guardian to let them know that I no longer had the system and the guy was very nice. He said that I still have the system because it keeps saying that something is not armed so, apparently, we hadn't carved all the way down yet. Wherever it was at, it was still getting our signals. Then, I finally got a letter saying that as of March 10th, they were no longer getting signals. It took two weeks but it was okay.

I have eight stores with fire and security systems from Guardian Protection Services. I’ve been using them for 11 years but there is an issue with a fire system put in one of my offices. Guardian has so many papers to fill up and it's been a year and a half now between them and the township. I'm in the middle of it and I don't know how that’s gonna end up. It's still in the process. My satisfaction with their service is 50-50. It was nice before. When I had a problem, they came and fixed it. Today, they look for the money to fix things. It's getting now to the point where I have to change them.
