Frontpoint was rated the highest in customer support and that was important for us. Also, knowing that we'd be able to get their system set up, we ended up going with them. It took us about three calls to get it all set up. We talked to the same person through the whole process and that was nice. I also had to call to sort out the insurance deduction and they sent over that form almost immediately.

The installation was self-service with them. We just used the app to do it and got the system set up in no more than 30 minutes. From start to finish, it was very easy. We had an issue, though, on figuring out why it wasn't initially connected, but it got solved on the first phone call. It turned out that it was because it went through a testing period.

We have one of Frontpoint's higher packages and it definitely seemed that, at minimum, it matched what the other sites and services were offering at the same price. But, it would've been nice if Frontpoint kinda separated the need for the webcam from the other stuff because we don't use any of the video. Other than that, I have confidence in the product. The app is also extremely useful which I use more than the actual interface on the security system. We feel great that we have Frontpoint installed and we have it every night. We live in a good neighborhood, but it's still nice to have the reassurance of any bumps in the night that nothing's there. I have recommended them to my friends.

Frontpoint was ranked top 1 and the reps did a very good job for me. I struggled a little bit with the installation as I’m not real high-tech, but they walked me through each step if I had any problem. Every time I’ve ever called them, they’ve been out there. I like that I get a call from them to make sure if there’s ever any alarm. Also, the smartphone features are great. We log in and look at our cameras, and we can see every move being made around them. Once you lock it down, you don’t have to worry until you get back. We also have this in another place so we can look at it there. The only issue I've had is that the regular alarms wouldn’t work, and they sent me long-range alarms which fixed it.

Frontpoint had a couple of additional features that some of the other companies I talked to didn’t have. I've had them for about six months and their reps have been pretty top-notch. The installation was relatively easy. But it would have been better if they gave me more instructions on how and where to apply the sensors. Also, people should make sure that they got the billing correctly. I didn’t have any issues before, but this past time, they charged me three times in a row. They took out around 150 bucks, and I was only supposed to pay 50 bucks a month. It took them a few days to refund me the $100 which isn’t a huge deal, but I just don’t understand why it happened. Nobody called me on why it happened.

I have three accounts with Frontpoint and I like their app. I could have multiple locations on one app and I’m able to control all of those locations from my phone. The system was also self-install so it was very easy. Some of the other systems were not permanently mounted, where this one can be either not permanent or permanent. But I wanted it permanent because two of them are in businesses. Frontpoint pretty much offered everything and I was able to build my own packages. Their cost is reasonable and proportionate, too.

The sales side has been very good, as well as their customer service. Whenever I’ve had any technical questions, they’ve been very responsive and their tech support has been really well. I’ve been able to get on the phone with them and resolve any issues, mainly just on installing cameras that I’m not familiar with, and they’ve been able to walk me through it within a few minutes. I like the features of the system and so far, they work well for what my needs are. I would recommend Frontpoint and tell others that it’s a very simple system and it's easy to install.

We moved into a new locality and a new apartment. We decided to get a home security system and after I researched the reviews online, I found that Frontpoint had good customer satisfaction reviews. So, we went with them. The installation of the equipment was self-service and it was easy to install. The features are also fine, as per expectations. I have the app and I use that to arm and disarm. It's fairly simple to use. Since we got their service, we're having more comfort because we know that we're covered if there is any action that is happening. But so far, we haven't had any incident.

There have been a couple of times when, by mistake, we triggered off the alarm and I'm not sure as to what point does Frontpoint realize that it's not an accident and there's something that they should do at their end. Other than that, the cost is a sizable amount on a per month basis and there were some options for a longer term signup, which had a lower discount. But if I were to benchmark their price with the rest of the market, it seems fine.

I just moved to the area. I liked that Frontpoint has no credit score check because I don’t have a credit score. Their cost is fair and the installation was super easy to do. It took me minutes to do it. Everything works. But I don't like that the app is different from the box you have at your home. Things don’t have the same name so it's confusing sometimes. Also, it's impossible for you to turn on or off your alarm without it being noisy. When you turn it on, it says, "Disarm. Arm." Sometimes, I wish I could turn off the alarm when my wife is sleeping so that I can go out of the home. But every time I go, I'd have to wake her up. Other than that, having an alarm is better.

I needed a home security system and Frontpoint seemed like the best option. To install the system, it was just sticking stuff up and turning it on, then it finds itself. You set up where you want in the app and you're good to go. It took me 20 minutes to stick everything up. Then, the rest was just me setting up all the letters and push notifications and learning how to use all the notifications which took longer because I was messing around with it and seeing what I could do. There's a lot you can do with the features, too, so that's pretty good. Currently, I need to get some sensors they sent me a while back but didn't show up. That's not really anyone's fault though, I just haven't had time to call in. Other than that, everything has been good. And I feel good knowing that I have Frontpoint system installed.

We are in a rural area and we've had some previous knowledge of intruders in homes in the area of the state. We’re isolated on the county road, there’s no one near us on either side. One night, we had a vehicle come in and just sit behind our house. We could see the vehicle because we have a security light on the pole behind the house. When I turned the carport light on, they immediately left. I found out later on that they were probably up to no good. So, we invested in a security system. We liked what we read from Frontpoint and the prices that were given to us, so we decided to go with them. We called the phone number that was given to us, and we had a good experience with the sales rep. He was very courteous and seemed to be very knowledgeable. He asked us questions, and we shared the answers with him. He made a recommendation on what we would probably be needing here and so, we invested in it.

We like the system but we did not get an operator’s manual. So we followed the instructions that was given to us via phone conversation that we had with the sales rep. By trial and error, we know how to disable it and how to re-able in the event that we needed to. But we’d have to get back to the company because we would love to have a manual. We also would love to learn more about the smartphone features. Nevertheless, we’re well-pleased with it. The system's operational and we've been using it. It does exactly what we wanted and expected it would do. It’s a wise investment but others would need to be sure to ask the sales representative to include an operator’s manual whenever he does send the package to them.

I had Brinks and ADT before when they were separate. Compared to them, Frontpoint is all wireless and self-install. I don't have to pay somebody to come out and charge me $100 to do what I can do, so that's a plus. I initially got the security system for deterrence when people see the stickers. And at least with the doors, I can see when somebody is coming in and out, so at least I know what's going on when. My interactions with Frontpoint's reps was seamless and good. And it took me 30 minutes to install the equipment. The instructions were dumbed down as they can get and they were pretty good.

So far, the cost and quality of the system are in line with each other. I have armed the system five times but now, I got too many people coming in and out of my house, and in fear of it accidentally going off, I don't use it. I also don't like the base station. I didn't know they offered two different base stations. They got one that's like a touchscreen tablet style and the other one is the traditional numbers pad which is what I got and it looks a little tacky. Also, they need to allow some more capabilities with other functions to link up withe their devices like Nest, Z-Wave, Arlo cameras, and IFTTT, the "If That, Then This," application. Other than that, Frontpoint is good to go.

We were getting a security system for our business at the time, so I decided to go ahead and get one for the house too. We had other security devices in the past and Frontpoint's camera connectivity and app are much better. The installation was fairly simple and the instructions were easy to use. Everything I was told was correct.

The only thing I don’t like is that with the ones at the office, we have five cameras and I would like for it to be recording as much as possible any time there’s motion. It rained for two weeks solid and so it was steadily recording the rain, so I ran out of clips. I still had 10 days out of the months left, and I didn't have any clips and there was no way for me to add any, so that was really frustrating. I tried to lower the sensitivity level to the rain, but it still recorded. Also, I use the smartphone features all the time to view the video. It looks clear in the main picture, but it’s hard to zoom in on the small items or facial features sometimes. Still, it’s good to have Frontpoint while we’re not there.

Frontpoint was cheaper and then I found later that it was higher. I wanted to go with another provider that was a lot cheaper but once you’re in the contract, you better stay. When I called, I talked to a service rep and she quoted one thing and then, when I got the unit, it was totally different. When I got the bill, it was about as high as I was in ADT. I pay $49.50 a month because ADT has got all that, and I can call ADT on the phone right then and there and tell the system is not working and they'll have a representative tell you what you need to do at that point. It's easier and accessible with ADT, and it'll be a little bit more easier to call.

You gotta install it yourself. They tell you that you gotta do this and that and the direction's kinda hard. They should be very simple with the directions on how to operate and how to install. That thing's complicated. We had to go to the windows. A friend of mine did it but I don’t know whether it's set up right now or not. I've got the little camera set up. I had all of them separate and I don't know how to operate the thing.

You gotta go in the computer and type in a passcode to be able to look and see what’s happening in your house. I'd be going on to type a passcode in if somebody has broken in but I'm stuck with it. I can plug in the code, and the code is plugged in before we leave, and you hear a little beep sound and all that. I don’t know if someone tries to break in, whether that thing would even have an alarm and I don't know where we call the police or how it would be. I won't depend on it. I went to a national housing conference in Lancaster and I didn't know if it was even working or not. I should do away with it and get something else.

Frontpoint has a better price compared to other providers and the system is good. However, the price of the new gadget that you buy along with it is too high. It’s cheaper if you go with somebody else unless you get the basic system. Having extra features is ridiculous because just so that I can look at my alarm online or just so that I can change the name of a sensor and make it a window sensor instead of kitchen window sensor for example, normally you can go online. If you don’t pay, they don’t give you that access online. That obviously doesn’t cost anything because it’s just the web.

You have to call in to make every change. It’s not costing them anything different. Having the ability to go online and make changes is a different plan per month which is absurd. Even simple changes, if you’re not in the plan but you pay a lot more per month, you cannot go online. The reason that I bought the system is because I could handle it online or on my phone. But now, I realized after I bought it that you need to call in, which cost them more because it’s a human but it’s a drag for the customer. I live in a gated community and I don’t really need the system. I’m not liking Frontpoint anymore and I feel a little tricked.

We always had a security system. We already had ADT, and had Comcast, but we wanted something different, and Frontpoint was at the top base on the reviews. Working with Shawn, the sales rep, was amazing. He explained everything, and it was a professional and friendly conversation. After I talked to him, there was no doubt, this is what we're going with. Installing the system was easy that we could do it ourselves. We didn't have to wait for someone to come and go and drill.

The features that we have are amazing, but I wish there was something that would alert you if someone is opening a window, and not just breaking the glass. The smartphone feature makes it easier to use, especially when I’m already in bed and I don't feel like going downstairs again just to turn the alarm on, I can tell Alexa to turn it on. The good thing is that you cannot tell Alexa to turn it off, because it's a safety issue. With the equipment they provide, Frontpoint is extremely cheap compared to other companies.

Having the Frontpoint makes me feel safer, it’s the only company that doesn't work on internet line, because the internet line is outside the house and you can just go there, cut the wire, and that's it. They don't have any alarm system anymore. So you can pay hundreds of dollars and feel secure, but it's so easy to manipulate and disarm.

Frontpoint is terrible and it doesn’t work. I leave my house and I set the alarm by my phone, but it will tell me it timed out. One time, I left my house and got half a block away. I set it and it told me that the master bedroom window and the sliding glass door were open, although they were not. The sensors don’t work properly. Also, I was out of town last week and I tried to set the alarm every day, but it would tell me that the panel timed out. If I call Frontpoint, they say that they can't test the service or they can't help me unless I'm at home.

Then, when I had been home and I told them that it doesn’t work, they said, “Do you have AT&T? Oh, it's your cell phone, sir.” I've had things happen like I left the house at 7:00 AM and I get a text message at 7:45 AM saying somebody opened my front door. However, it was me leaving 45 minutes earlier, but I got the text 45 minutes later. I asked myself, “Well, did somebody open my front door right now or is this just a late response at the fact that I left?”

I went home from work a couple of times, but nobody was there and nobody opened it. I called Frontpoint and they said, “That’s your cell phone service. That’s your fault.” When I explained that it was not my fault, the guy on the phone said that I opened the door at 7:45, so they sent the alert right out. I said that I left at 7:00, but he always said that it was my cell phone. I have not been happy with Frontpoint. I'm usually out and around and that’s when I realized that the alarm doesn’t work. I call them, but they can't help me. It works great when I'm home, but it's an alarm that doesn’t really work when I'm not home. The reps were terrible, too. They blamed my cell phone service, although, when I signed up with them, they said that they use all services and that it didn’t matter what service I had. The idea of the service was great, but it doesn’t work.

I wanted a home security system so that I would know if somebody came into my house when I wasn't home or if I was leaving. I liked the reviews for Frontpoint and, after looking at what they offered and comparing prices, they were competitively priced and had more options. They aso have better flexibility on what I want to do. Installing the system wasn't difficult at all, but when adding items, I had to call customer support because the menu wasn't very user-friendly. It took 15 minutes, though, and once the system was set up, it was good. The reps were always happy to help me.

I was able to set an alarm on a separate part of my house, separate from the main alarm system, and I'm happy with it. Although it won't call the police, it will notify me if somebody went into that room and I can still use the rest of the house and not trigger the alarm. I will get notified when someone goes in there and I like that because I don't want kids to go into a room where they are not supposed to be in. However, I'd like the center console to be a bit more user-friendly. I have to go through a series of buttons, and in and out different menus and features. It's just too many steps to do something and I just use it for arming and disarming or I use the app on my phone. Other than that, Frontpoint has been great. The customer service reps are patient and willing to work with me over and over, and they sit there with me while I am fidgeting trying to do something. In prior times, the previous company had a representative come out and if I wanted additional coverage, they would take care of it and then made sure everything was set up properly. With Frontpoint, I had to take care of all of that myself, and I didn't appreciate that. If I had been a novice, it probably would have been difficult for me. Their customer service could have been more hands-on. Also, the equipment doesn’t seem to operate as friendly, and I’m not so sure about the coverage where I’m located. I had a much better system before where if you pressed on the windows, it went off. It was a more complete system and it had better coverage for the home. With Frontpoint, you'd have to open the window. It's functional for what it does, but the system I had prior to this did a better job for the money. The cost was favorable, but it’s not comparable to what I had before.

I moved into a neighborhood that’s really nice and I ran across Frontpoint. I got an alarm system for my wife to use in the future. Every time I’ve talked to somebody at Frontpoint, everything went fine. We did the installation ourselves and it wasn’t hard to do. The system works fine. I got a glass breaker, the smoke detector, the motion detectors, and the regular window and door sensors. I also bought an outside camera, but I decided to let it stay in the box for now. I’ve had security systems before for my business building and Frontpoint is as easy to work with as any of the other systems. You just push the button to arm it, and you’re asked to punch in your code to disarm it. That’s a little different than the other one I had. There was a lot of learning process but it was not that hard to learn. I’m very satisfied with Frontpoint.

My house got broken into. In the other residences that I lived at, I used Brinks, but I did my research and the issue that I had was, what happens if the phone lines get caught or things like that because most of the other security systems are built around those phone lines. I work in IT, so I consider that antiquated technology and maybe dead-end one day. So, that was the reason that I looked at Frontpoint. They were highly reviewed and their system did not rely solely on your phone line.

The Frontpoint rep I spoke with was a helpful guy. We had a chat and he asked why I was looking into it. I explained that our house got broken into and he gave some recommendations and explained. I even got a discount for signing up because my house got broken into. So, that was some benefit and he took great care of me. He was a nice gentleman and explained all my options very well. Then, it took me about 15 minutes to set up the equipment. Everything is shipped in one box and when you open the box, they immediately have something there that says, "Stop. Do it specifically in this order. And if you run into any issues, call us immediately." So, they have color-coded boxes and they told you what to do in each step. You start with the main unit and you set that up. Then you start pulling the sensors out then you do the doors and the glass-break sensors. Then if you have anything else, you add that. So, it's good for a self-installation.

Since I got Frontpoint, I feel more secure and comfortable when we leave the house for longer periods of time. I made a pretty good habit of setting it now and checking every door before I leave. But even if I forget, I've got the app on my cellphone and I could immediately arm or de-arm the system, and check out my cameras if I feel unsafe or I get a gut feeling. I feel that it does exactly what I wanted it to do, which is number one, deter people. And number two, it does provide security. I'm a very alert individual and I like the chirp whenever a door opens because it makes me consciously think about what's going on in my house. Overall, Frontpoint has been a great company and I feel very satisfied with them. Getting their system was also the best purchase I made in 2018.

Also, I had to install the system in a very short amount of time and they were able to overnight me the system. I was able to get it installed very quickly. The one thing that I haven’t figured out if it’s available is somehow monitoring the extra sensors like the fire or smoke detector and the flood sensor. They seem to be working. I get a status for the motion detector and the door contacts but I don’t get any status on the smoke detector or the flood sensor. But the equipment seems very good. I rely on the app and it works very well for me. It’s a fair, good cost for a high-quality system.

I did the installation of the Frontpoint system myself and it was easy. I got one dead battery right now and I had a motion sensor that's out, but I got it turned back on. Other than that, everything's still going smoothly and the quality of the system is good so far. Anytime I’ve had an issue, they’ve handled it right away. When my Frontpoint system was installed, it went nicely and smoothly. Everything seems fine so far and any issue I had was my fault, like forgetting to turn off the alarm before I walked through the garage. And their response was immediate that’s why I’m getting in a point now where I get it right away because they call right away.

The cost of Frontpoint's service is fair as well. I'm using the system as a deterrent and I’ve learned over the years that if people really wanna get into your house, they’re gonna get in your house. But as far as defeating the service, I don’t think they’re gonna be able to do that. I would tell everybody to do their research and look at the security systems that are available. But I have nothing but good things to say about Frontpoint and it’s been good for me so far.

I got a house in a state that I don't normally live in and I wanted to have a sense that it was secured while I wasn't there. Frontpoint uses cellular technology and the battery back-up as opposed to internet or regular telephone line, and I felt like it was a more secure solution. So, I went with them. The rep I talked to was very helpful, answered all my questions, and got me the lowest price package that would meet all my needs. The installation was also fairly simple. They had me install the application on my phone and that was the installation process. And we verified each of the installation of the sensors as I placed them around the house and the property. The instructions were easy, too.

The smartphone features have been handy as well. I get alerts that the phone has lost connectivity with the Frontpoint installation a little bit too frequently and I had experiences where I turned off the main breaker and within two minutes, I got a notification that power had been lost in the house. One time, I also accidentally triggered the fire alarm. I vaped and one of the juices that I had in my vape was a little bit more than the sensor could handle. I got to the panel shortly and pressed in my code to turn it off. But within two minutes, somebody still called me, asked how the house was, and made sure that everything was okay.

So, it has been a pretty good experience so far. I also like the motion detection. I have it installed in my living room and in my kitchen. It's kind of a catch-all and I don't feel the need to have as many individual door sensors because these are two main points in the home that anybody who broke in would have to go through and might not be expecting the motion sensors. Overall, it's a wonderful security system and I would recommend it to friends. I wish that instead of motion sensors, there were cameras and it was for the same price. But maybe that's unrealistic of today's technology and the cost for it as most sensors are way cheaper. Other than that, I feel 100% confident that if anything were to happen to my home, I would know about it or at least have an indication of a breach or a fire.

I had workers in my house at one point, and I was notified at work there was a power outage from the app. It said less than 5% of people in my area had no power (yes, that specific) and because it was sunny out, I called the electric company who said there was no outage at my address. The workers unplugged my security system thinking it would quit working. After I discovered that, I found they had unlocked several windows in my house. Original Review: Nov. 21, 2018

Frontpoint has excellent customer service and protection. Thankfully, I've never had to truly test Frontpoint in a security event but I always felt very safe and protected using their system. That being said, their contract terms are completely horrendous! I have been a customer for several years but recently decided to review my security needs due to a recent move. I decided that I didn't always need monitoring and noticed that several companies (like Abode) offer monitoring that you can turn on/off based on needs. Plus, I have to pay extra just to control my Frontpoint security system from my phone...which is completely outrageous! Many companies include this in their base plan.

So, after purchasing my new system I went to cancel my service with Frontpoint..which is when I discovered/remembered just how bad their contracts are. If I want to cancel my service I am stuck paying over $350 just to walk away...even though I have been a paying customer for several years. Absolutely horrendous. Modern (and honest) companies don't punish their existing companies for considering another solution. Frontpoint uses this as a crutch to not have to compete with innovating security industry.

It’s good value and it’s very easy to set up. It took me about 20 minutes to do the whole 5,000-square foot house. That’s pretty good. Everything works great so far, including the smartphone features. I’m very comfortable with the reaction times. If anybody opens a door or something like that, the sound goes off and the phone goes within seconds. I’ve been very impressed.

The only problem I’ve had was I had a sensor that the adhesive wasn’t strong enough and it fell off. An internal sensor fell that there were now certain perimeter failures. I knew there was something wrong with it because somebody would have to get past the perimeter checks to be able to set off a motion sensor. So, when I got home, I realized what it was, and Frontpoint provided us stronger affixing stuff. Frontpoint solved the few problems that I’ve had straight away.

I had ADT before and what I had with them was the basic one as well. It was only with Vivint that I had all of the extended features. But when I talked to the guy from Frontpoint, he told me that they didn’t offer the same features that Vivint offered when I first got it. I should’ve then decided to go back with Vivint but I didn’t. Nonetheless, it’s served its purpose. In fact, Frontpoint's system has been one of the best ones I've had. With the services provided, I was able to answer my door from work and see whoever was on my porch. It was a great experience. I also had to install the system myself and that is something that I had never experienced before. Normally, someone comes and installs it for me. But it was easy.

However, I was supposed to call back whenever my credit score was back at 600 so I could get a refund on some of my deposit and sign for the three-year contract. I called a few months back and the representative told me they were gonna give me a call the next day but no one ever called me. So the deposit was never refunded and I’m still only on a one-year contract. So that representative actually gave me a bad taste. In April, it would be a year that I've had Frontpoint but after this year, I don’t know if I’m staying with Frontpoint.

I plan to put more sensors later on because I've got four windows in my basement and anybody can come right through the basement windows. If they come right up to the stairs, there's a motion sensor right there that will hit them. But still, I don't want anybody getting into our house, so, eventually, I'm gonna order more window sensors and, possibly, another motion sensor going upstairs. The equipment has good quality and I haven't had any issues with them yet, although it seems really fragile.

I use the app on my phone all the time. In fact, I don't even use the control panel. I had some questions and I was able to look some things up on the app or on the internet. I saved it on my phone under "My Favorites". It is easy. I just go and hit that if I have any questions and most of the questions are answered right there, online.

The system works great. The only issue I had was the alarm went off at around 2:00 in the morning one night and it was out in the shop. I called the sheriff and they came out, and they told me not to go out there. When I went out there, there were no broken windows. The only thing we could find out was, when we opened the door, there was a mouse hanging out next to the sensor. I had a 2x4 mounted to the corner of the wall and I had the sensor hooked to it, and the mouse was able to go up or over the sensor part. I called customer service about it and they told me to take the sensor off the wall, put it in the drawer, and let it sit there for two days.

They would run some test on it to make sure that it was not a problem with the motion sensor, and it wasn't. It was fine. It summed up the fact that it was the mouse that triggered it. It is nice having Frontpoint in our home. I live in an area where the next neighbor is about a quarter of a mile down the road, so Frontpoint makes my wife feel more secure because she is home a lot. I'm very happy with what I have.

It didn’t make a difference. I made a mistake and I shouldn’t have gone with Frontpoint. They have a self-serve, do-it-yourself kind of thing and it just didn’t work. My door sensors don’t work and I’ve called technical services so many times. The equipment needs a line of sight to the main alarm system and it doesn’t work. I wanna get out of my contract and it would be great if Frontpoint calls me and tells me, “Hey, it doesn’t work for you. I’m sorry. I’m gonna let you out of the contract.”

I want to feel secure in my home so I purchased a security system. The Frontpoint system that I got is wireless. It's also a GE system in the background. So if I ever decided to no longer use Frontpoint, I can use the system with another or with someone else in the future. The interaction with the reps went well. They answered all my questions. They helped me through what purchases I would need based on the way my home is designed. I also got the in-home setup. That was my first time setting it up. So once I got it here, I had some trouble then I just called in and the reps from Frontpoint stayed on the phone with me for a couple of hours step by step. I was very happy with the service I received.

Also, the installation was great. I only had a little difficulty because of the way my house is set up. But the reps were patient and made sure I got everything set up until everything was done. I like all the features and I use them almost every day. I also like how I can control and have an access to everything online. The Frontpoint system's cost is worth what I have paid for.

Frontpoint is a lot better than our previous security system in terms of customer service and quality. However, there was a lot of upfront DIY work in terms of setting things up and we experienced some difficulty. I would feel more comfortable if a trained person was doing it especially given that the price points were very similar to the other company we were using, so it was not like we were saving a whole bunch of money by moving to Frontpoint.

My husband also tried to get the front door lock from them but our door had an uncommon thickness level so we couldn’t use that solution. We couldn't get a refund for it and my husband talked to someone about some alternates. Also, one of the selling points of the salesperson is that we can put the console anywhere and it shouldn't be next to the garage door or main door 'cause that's where intruders would probably try to disable the system. But, I found myself forgetting to turn it on a lot more because it was not right next to the front door. I often have to activate it through my phone which is a great option to have and I love doing that but I feel like I remembered it more when I was able to hit the button on my way out.

But every time we've had any false alarms or triggers and we've called Frontpoint's line, it's been positive and helpful so I have no issues on that front. Also, there was a period of time when we were getting a lot of false alarms but the representative managed to talk my husband through the process and that was super helpful.

My husband and I bought a new house in the suburbs of Chicago and felt it was necessary to have a security system. We had Time Warner cable in Ohio and we were happy with them but they were not in our area so that wasn’t an option. My husband started to look at other things and found Frontpoint. Their sales rep was great, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, useful and informative. There was no pressure with them. And so far, the system's great.

My husband and I weren’t living in the house for a few months and we had the security system up so we could check on it. I like that the cameras got a speaker on it. When we weren’t living in the same house because he was travelling here and I haven't moved yet, I could talk to him and look at him. So it was fun. We also use the smartphone features when we're away from the house. It’s very easy, and it’s good that it’s not tied to the cable ‘cause we’ve had outages in our cable before then it stops working. Nevertheless, I'd tell others about the ease of having Frontpoint.

I purchased Frontpoint for a funeral home and I'm very satisfied with it at this point. I also have it in my home, and I have had no problems. We used to have ADT, and I didn't like the service that ADT was giving us. Their pricing was outrageous and when I had asked someone to come out to take a look at the unit because it kept continually beeping, the tech who came out told me he didn't know what was wrong with it, and I should call for another service call for another technician.

Frontpoint's cost is much better. We did the installation of our system and it was very easy. Our equipment is fine. They even have a feature where if you forget to turn on your alarm, they will send you a notice to turn it on. I upgraded my system here at my home. And I wish that, in the beginning, they had told me about some of their features such as being able to turn the alarm on and off from a different point with your cellphone. You can't do that at the funeral home. You actually have to go inside the funeral home and turn it off. But in my home, I have the mobile feature. I might eventually upgrade the one at the funeral home, too. Overall, I appreciate Frontpoint's response whenever the alarm goes off. I was robbed here in my home, and we had a different alarm company, and no one notified me at all. Frontpoint on the other hand has been very proactive.

I had to call in though because one of the sensors, the one that's for the garage, was not good. It doesn't work fine with the app right now, although the other sensors are okay and really active. It also makes a weird sound when it rings and there is no way I can keep the volume up and down. Despite that, the phone that syncs with the system is good. I use the app most of the time to arm or disarm the system. The system is everything that I asked for.

Cost-wise, Frontpoint's system was okay at first. Now if I compare it with others, it's on the higher side because we have Ring and Google that are giving really good prices. Although there weren't good options with the system before, my experience has been good. I might need to check with their team regarding some questions about billing, but overall I'm happy with the product and I definitely feel safer with it in my home.

We did research on companies and Frontpoint was highly rated. Also, their customer service got high marks on reviews which was how we made our decision.

Our interaction with the rep was all good from the beginning, so we had no complaints. Installing the system was not hard and it wasn’t something we couldn’t do. We did it with the instructions provided although it took some time. We’re a business and we have overhead doors. We gotta get ladders and put motion sensors on the door. We have overhead garage doors and a lot of our motion sensors are falling off now. So, we're gonna need some new adhesives but we foresaw that happening and we’re not too disappointed.

I wanted a quote and was talked into purchasing over the phone, with the reassurance that I can cancel within 30 days in order to receive a full refund. I reviewed the contract after ordering and absolutely hated the terms (they charge SO MUCH if you want to cancel early) so I called to cancel. They didn't apply my cancellation. I called again a week or so later to make sure they'd really canceled, because I hadn't seen my refund. I called again after they charged the first month to my card, even after I'd made it very ** clear that I have canceled service and want a full refund. I was assured that I'd see my refund in a few days, once it cleared the bank. I am now waiting for my refund to appear. It's been 2 months since I first made that ill-fated order. I just can't believe I ever gave them a credit card number. My next steps are to contact the BBB and speak with my state Dept of Consumer Affairs.

My Frontpoint salesperson was outstanding, and anybody else I've talked to was great too. I've asked a few questions and they’ve always answered them very quickly and easily, even through email. I had Ackerman Security in my old home. I had a "what you see is what you get" unit on the wall, which served its purpose, but so does Frontpoint. I like my Frontpoint experience. I have been able to call and get somebody at any point. I can use an app on my phone, which is great. I can do a remote disarm and arm, and in that regards, Frontpoint is better than the system I had at Ackerman. Frontpoint is also fair-priced. Although Ackerman was a lot cheaper, I didn't have the bells and whistles that I have with Frontpoint.

I did the installation myself and it was easier than I thought. The system is holding up well with one exception. I have a window in my basement and because it got very cold very quickly, the contact says that there was a malfunction on it. I took it down and called somebody. They walked me through getting it fixed. I put it back up and it connected, but it says it’s not connected, which is very strange.

The alarm has gone off while I was here, but I caught it before it got too long. My mother-in-law has also broken the alarm. She came in and broke it, but she didn’t reset the alarm, so I set it on my phone and didn't do the delayed entry. The police have come out a couple of times as well, and luckily, I haven't been charged anything yet. The response time has been good though. It has been adequate for what we’re doing here. If you are in the market for a security system, go ahead and do Frontpoint. It might replace something you have and it will be very user-friendly for you.

I'm from the city but my fiancé is from the suburb so she was hesitant about moving to the city. One of the stipulations was that we had to get a security system. I started looking and it was between Frontpoint and one other company. They both had the same features that we wanted but the availability was a big part of our decision. Also, they wanted the money upfront and it was like $300 with Frontpoint compared to $1,200. On top of that, the customer service was really nice. That's not a big flashy point but sometimes, customer service can go a long way.

I called a number and the representative answered all my questions. He gave me all the facts and then let me make my decision. He told me he would give me some time to talk it over with my fiancé and he did exactly that. He called me about two weeks later but he didn't shove anything down my throat. Not pressuring me is a big thing that I like. As far as the other company, they were like, "You should go with us right now. Our sale doesn't last long. You need to make a choice now." It was that type of thing.

When I talked to the Frontpoint representative, he let me know what was and what was not included. There were no hidden things. With Guardian on the other hand, they would install the first window free and then they would hit you with all these hidden charges. We have a one-story house and we had pets so the Frontpoint representative recommended I get the sensors for the house. The sensors were really easy to install. In fact, the instructions for the installation of the system were clear. They gave little pamphlets for each thing which was cool. The alarm panel came with one and even though the doorbell was a pain in the butt to install, it came with easy and clear-cut instructions as well.

I'm tech-savvy but not handyman-savvy. It's an old brick home and I had to run a doorbell wire myself. I had to get a drill bit. That came with the system so they give you all the hardware that you would need. But it wasn't big enough for my drill. But besides the doorbell, installing everything else was a fantastic experience. All we really needed were the door sensors and the security camera though. We also got the touchscreen but for the features that it had, it wasn't worth the extra money for us. The panel's a little outdated. So we sent that back and that was hassle-free. And other than that, everything was top-tier.

ADT seemed to charge a stand-on while they've been in business since the 1800s and here is a new start-up company that was pretty much wiping their business away.

I’ve had numerous interactions with the reps at Frontpoint from the actual sale to them helping me with set-up and helping me through issues and it had always been fantastic. I’ve renamed all of my sensors to specify what they are and on the keypad unit, it shows all of those, but on the app, it doesn’t show those, so it will tell me I’ve got three sensors open as opposed to what three are actually open. Nonetheless, I still feel secure with Frontpoint as I did with ADT. The one selling point I kept seeing is something I've now experienced and it's the customer service which is a point of business that is being left behind. I wanted an additional door sensor put in my downstairs storage area, but I couldn’t figure out how I could get that to sync up with the system, and I had to call customer service for some advice. The reps were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they walked me through how to do this. They also walked me through setting up a motion sensor in our home. I wanted to move the motion sensor from where we had it before so that it wouldn’t capture the motions of our dog and they helped me work with it. Our dog stays inside all day and goes all over the house, and we've yet to have the motion sensor go off with her inside, so that has been great.

The overall functionality and performance of our system is fantastic. I have the app and the key fob, so I've been able to check alerts and different things from my phone. I've used the app before when I couldn’t remember if I had set the alarm or not and I've also used it from my room which is not in near proximity to the panel. When my alarm is set and if the downstairs door which is in a different part of the house is open, the system alerts my phone. It is in an area that I can't monitor closely and I set the system so I can see if anybody is going in and out of there without me knowing. So, even if I'm at work, I can tell if somebody like my husband is going in or out of that door. I can also sense if any of the doors are open at any time. I'm able to turn the alarm on and off from outside my door when I'm unlocking. My being able to do that from my phone is nice because I can be at work and when our college-age son and his friends come by to ride jet skis or do different things, I can turn the alarm off and they can get in and then I could turn it back on when they leave.

For our homeowner’s insurance, we needed to have smoke detectors and a heat detector installed. They've worked great and I was able to get a discount on my homeowner’s insurance. Also, the cost of the system is reasonable, even if my husband doesn’t like that I spend money on it, but I like it because I stay by myself often. As a matter of fact, I have recommended Frontpoint.

Before choosing Frontpoint Security be very aware how painful it will be to cancel. I have many complaints since I started my services, until I decided to cancel their services after my contract of 3 years was going to end. I called them 2 months in advance and they informed me to call back when the contract is expired. 1 day after the contract expired, I contacted them again and I was informed I have to stay with them 2 additional months to terminate it as the contract automatically renew once it expires. Now, I received a call informing that it’s only possible to be done with a formal letter via email. And as they need to receive the communication 30 days in advance, I’ll probably have to pay 3 additional months! Simply unacceptable.

Somebody destroyed my door knob trying to get in my house. So, I got on the website to see which one was the best alarm system that you can buy and Frontpoint was number one. The rep was upfront in letting me know what was going on. He set up a deal for me that he said would save me some money and it was hard for me to turn down.

I called when I installed the system and they directed me to a video that I needed to watch which showed me how to do it myself. The instructions were all transparent and it was nothing hard. They told me what to do and I did it. Frontpoint gave me a package, and they had everything in there. However, they said I was gonna get one motion sensor for each room but they only gave me one, leaving a couple out. Other than that, it was fine. I use the smartphone features everyday and it’s perfect. I could walk out of my house and use my phone to set or disable the alarm. Frontpoint is cheaper than ADT and they’re just the same thing. They got great stuff in the service and everything is good.

We bought a new house and decided to use Frontpoint. They had an easy self-installation and was more affordable. The guy that we communicated with when we purchased the system was spot on and was able to answer our questions. The installation was very simple to do, but I had some issues getting a couple of sensors to connect and I had to have customer service help me but they were able to help quickly.

The cost and overall quality of the Frontpoint system seem good and I haven’t had any issues with it, so far. Though their motherboard seems a little less techy than my previous home security, everything else looks pretty comparable. The smartphone feature is easy to use and works perfectly fine. But we have a carbon monoxide detector, and I’m not getting any feedback from it in the app. Other than that, it's definitely more comforting having the Frontpoint system.

The sales rep I reached out to from Frontpoint was very friendly and informative. The rate was also good. They sent the kit to me and I just plugged it in. The instructions were easy and the features were simple and easy to understand. I like the feature where I'm able to turn the system on and off from my phone. Also, there have been times that I set the alarm off by accident and as soon as I put in the key, I don’t have to worry about the police being called. No false alarms. However, the system went off one time when I didn’t have my back door locked completely, and the motion set off. The team at Frontpoint called to let me know that there was movement from downstairs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint. They’re doing what they’re supposed to do.

My husband works away a lot and I wanted to feel a little bit more secure in our home. I was looking around for a security system and then, I saw Frontpoint. They called and gave me a bunch of information. I liked what I heard, it was reasonably priced and we went with it. The rep worked with us. He was wonderful, very kind and patient. I love the customer service that I got. The guy we were talking to was available if we needed him and he explained the installation a little bit to me before we got it. My husband was able to look up on YouTube how do it and it was very simple. The equipment has never let us down. When the electricity goes off, it still does its job and everything that the rep told us that would happen was true to what it is. It’s good quality. The doorbell camera is wonderful and we enjoy having that. It’s easy to fix if the electricity goes out or something happens with the WiFi. It lets you know by blinking and we’ve never had any issues with it.

I had a good plan in place for the system. The rep was patient and waited a few days for my husband to get home to look and my husband changed it up a little bit. We did what worked best for us at the moment and later on, we would add more cameras and other stuff. Whatever my husband changed, it was easy to move around and maneuver. The system was very affordable and it didn’t break my bank which was what I wanted. Frontpoint has all kinds of varieties of things to what you need and you can always add on. People should give them a call.

I'm trying to live in my own place and I haven’t been living away from my parents for that long. And even though I'm in a pretty safe apartment complex in a good part of the town, it's in my personality to expect worst case scenario so I thought it was very important to have a home security device. I was comfortable with the monthly payment that I was able to get from Frontpoint. We got two sensors in that system which was a fair deal. The guy who was helping me knew how to set the system up for me. Also, the directions were not confusing at all, so I was happy about that.

I got the plug in thing and they told me if someone tampered with it, it would alert the Frontpoint staff and they would call me. Before I leave the house, I would hit doors and windows. And when I come home, I would enter the password immediately. It would give me a 30-second window, so it's very easy to use. It's always on and it beeps really loud. Once, the maintenance people came in unannounced, then Frontpoint called me immediately. Then, they came again the next day to double check on something, even if they didn't tell us they would.

They system works just as good as the first day that we got it and the sound has been the same. We keep it in a safe area where it doesn't fall down and it stands up right all the time. I'm happy with my decision to go with Frontpoint. You just have to ask them specific questions so that you would have a clear understanding of how the system works before you buy it.

I also didn't get the equipment I was promised and that took days to resolve. While DIY is definitely less expensive initially, I would consider another company as I feel they have ZERO concern for their customers. It's not so much the price that bothers me, but the bait and switch tactics I feel were employed. I also have my system in a drawer and have asked MULTIPLE times for my monthly fee to be reduced since it's not in use. Eight months later, I'm still paying for a system that just shows me the weather. All of the door magnets and glass break sensors are in a drawer. They go off from time to time when I rummage through that drawer looking for things that are actually useful to me.

I saw Frontpoint had high ratings on Google and interacting with their representatives has always been pleasant except with one agent. I reported that and it was handled. It has always been good and secure when I have to call in. I ask the same thing every time and they answer me. Installing the system was not that hard. I did it and it was straightforward. However, the recessed door sensors are way too big compared to the ones that you stick on the exterior of the door. Nobody’s gonna want to drill a hole that big on their door for something like that.

The features of the system are pretty good but the doorbell camera, the app connecting with the video, is not always that good. Sometimes it errors out and it will say, “Troubleshoot the problem on the phone.” I also find that from the time somebody rings the doorbell to when you get notified on your phone, the length is too long. By the time I find somebody rang the doorbell, the person’s already gone because it’s been 10 to 15 seconds from when they rang the doorbell. Sometimes, it’s 30 seconds. It needs to be shorter.

Also, the camera on the touchscreen panel should be able to be viewed from the smartphone like a regular camera. Frontpoint is saying that the camera on the panel is only triggering when an alarm goes off, which is stupid because I have that panel facing one side of the door. I put it there for security reasons, so the camera can face the front door. But then it’s useless because the camera doesn’t do anything until it's triggered.

The cost is good. On the doorbell camera, for the price, the quality is not as good as some older models. It’s not 2723 high definition. It's not even 1080. Frontpoint needs an upgrade. The main reason I got Frontpoint is because of the doorbell. I wanted to get a doorbell camera and I saw that they offered it with a home security system, so I jumped on that opportunity. But at the time I signed up, I had to wait four months before I could get the doorbell camera because it was continually out of stock. One day, I finally got a phone call saying it was back in stock. I was thinking it was gonna be a new one rather than the old SkyBell Trim model but I signed up. I ordered and got it and it's the same old model, while other companies are offering newer ones.

The home we moved into had a different security company and we were just going to keep it up. But we found a better deal with Frontpoint and went with them instead. The system was easy to set up. In fact, I got another system at my daughter’s house, and setting it up went really smoothly as well. The price also seems to be fair although my son got a system as well and he’s got a little better rate than I do. We had some issues there with trying to figure out why he was getting a better deal. Frontpoint did drop my price a little bit but I think my son still got a little better deal than I do. I even shopped around but I couldn’t find anybody that could beat what they offered, with all the features that they include with their package.

Frontpoint seems to monitor it very closely and they always call in when there’s a problem. So we’ve really been pleased with their system. It just seemed liked everything we needed and it worked out real good. We also feel real comfortable with what we’ve got. We're able to monitor it when we’re not there and we're alerted if something happens when we’re not there. We’ve also been real pleased with the app where we can monitor with the phone and check the history of any issues. It’s pretty user-friendly too. I’m not the most tech-savvy person by a long shot and I can navigate through it pretty well. And although we had an issue with the sensor once, they replaced it and that aside, everything’s been fine. It’s been a good system and I've recommended them to several folks.

We couldn't get it to connect because the garage door opener that was installed in the house was dated.

I was also trying to get a wireless thermostat installed in my house. And the one that I've purchased, I thought could be easy to DIY. But it requires a little bit of extra tweaking. I haven't had the time to go ahead and do the research on it. And I don't know if they have tech support guys that can come to the house and do installs. But everything, for the most part in the installation, was pretty simple. My house is designed for a Frontpoint system, so it was all right. Everything works all right with the features and everything is pretty user-friendly as well. I also appreciate the fact that I don't have to have an extra phone line that I won't use. I wish I didn’t purchase the Frontpoint security system because I had realized that somebody could just come in and unplug the power cord, and then it would no longer work. Burglars usually specialize in getting around that type of stuff too. If you have a Frontpoint sign on your lawn and somebody’s familiar with that type of system and how it works, then it won’t take much. They’re in there and nobody’s gonna get a call. So it’s a waste of money. $40 is coming out of my account and it’s absolutely useless.

Initially, I thought it would be useful because it supposedly works when the power is out. You only need internet. I also like the fact that they have the app. The little display is cute. The representatives did a great job too, except they didn’t explain that the system is easy to get around. But I liked the presentation as far as the easy install, and the system was actually easy to install. The installation experience was good. Sometimes, people get a little confused though. But if you don’t understand the simple instructions on the box, you can always call and ask them for instructions. They give great tech support. On the other hand, if you have an older house and your paint is chipping, those little stickies can be a little cumbersome because they can come off in the middle of the night. That has happened and it scared the life out of me. I thought I had an intruder. It needs a screw to secure it better.

Frontpoint is a good business but I wish they had a more lenient cancellation process. I have a three-year contract and I still owe about $1,000 on the contract. If I want to cancel it, I would have to pay it. I would tell anybody not to sign up for a three-year contract. I regret that part and I wish I can get out of the contract in a cheaper way.

We just moved offices and we needed a trusted and available security system that was easy to set up and didn’t require a bunch of wiring. Frontpoint has a better technology stack and they're not as old school. Dealing with their rep has been okay, except for this one issue about permits. When we had the system installed, they let us know that we needed like a burglar permit from the city. But we also had these panic buttons activated, and they didn’t tell us that it was a separate permit. Then somebody accidentally tripped off the panic button, and then the cops arrived thinking it was like a stick-up situation for a bank. So, we got dinged by not having the right permit for our alarm system.

Frontpoint is a little bit more expensive than their competition and the monthly service is a little bit high, and then some of the components feel cheap. A lot of the system is based on like adhesives. But a permanent mounting solution would have been nice, instead of it being like totally adhesive-based. There is an option for some screw stuff for more permanent mounting. But on the glass break sensor, I had to drill through the plastic housing instead of having pre-drilled screw holes available for me. Other than that, the system itself is pretty adequate.

They were great about getting everything set up, and tested, and working for me with no issues at all. I’ve recently purchased a bunch more equipment to install around my house, so they’ve just been really great customer service.

I’ve been on the old type system with the bigger keypad, and they upgraded me to the wireless that also works through the modem. With that, I don’t have the control to set my door chimes. If I want them on or off, I have to call them. They have to turn them on or off for me right now. I’d like to see the app get updated where I can turn off door chimes myself. So I’d like the app to be a little more interactive where I can make the system do or not do. But so far, so good. I know a lot of places offer free equipment, but I like the idea that if I ever move, I’ll take the equipment with me. I would recommend Frontpoint.

I live in a really small town and there had been four break-ins within 15 miles from my residence. There were also rapes being reported. So I wanted a home security system for my family. Frontpoint offers some of the features at the price point that others don't. The biggest thing that sold me was the ability to continue security with a power outage or if an intruder does break in, they can’t smash your monitor and continue doing whatever they wanna do. In addition, the fact that it works off of a cell phone tower to signal instead of other means that other companies use, I thought it was better.

I have been with Frontpoint for 10 months now and so far, it's been great. The installation process was super easy. I just called them for the small issues I had and they walked me through it. They got everything going. I would like to expand my security system, but some of the accessories like the carbon monoxide monitor are expensive. They're phenomenal, but if I wanted to get their entire system, it’ll probably cost me 1000 bucks. The price point on some of the products is a little high.

Also, whenever I have called in, everything went really well with their reps. I was always really happy with what happened.

We built a new house and we decided to get a home security system. We had ADT for many years in the past but we were looking for something a little bit more economical, and more of a focus on what we needed rather than a lot of stuff that we were paying for but not getting at all used at. We liked Frontpoint's cost and its flexibility in terms of tailoring it to what we need as well as not having a long term commitment. I shopped around a bit and Frontpoint is not the cheapest or the most expensive out there, but I feel I’m getting good value for what I’m paying.

I had Frontpoint's sales team in the beginning when we signed up and then their customer service which is getting everything set up in the first place. They were polite and our interaction was smooth. Our biggest experience was on the sales side. We thought that certain units such as glass break sensors would work good for my home and its layout. But then once they got implemented, and I found out a little bit more about my home and educated them on it, it became clear that for the type of windows that I had, the glass break sensors weren’t the way to go and that individual sensors were. Frontpoint swapped them out very easily. It even brought my monthly rate down. The worst thing that I had to deal with was the fact that I had stuck the sensors to my wall and I had to peel them off, but Frontpoint has been very easy to work with.

The installation of the system was difficult for me at first because I was trying to figure it out on my own and I have not ever done anything like that before. But once I called them on the phone and they answered some of my questions, everything made sense to me and I was able to get everything installed in a matter of minutes. We have the basic coverage that is what we need right now until we get more settled in the home. My wife is very interested in having cameras and other things, but we just needed to spend time living in the home to see what we would use best or what we would need, given the community and given how we use our home. So, it’s been good just to have basic sense of security in the meantime.

Our Frontpoint equipment works. It turns on, it recognizes when something’s open or something’s closed, and that’s really all I needed it to do. I really like the app. It is very user-friendly. I was not happy with the ADT app. So, getting away from that was something that I was eager to do. You have to try Frontpoint out if you don’t mind doing set-ups and you don’t need everything done for you, and if you just want something that works for the right price.

I called Frontpoint and asked them about their basic stuff, like their set-up kit, and the guy told me it came with the two door sensors and the window sensors. That was really all I needed and that was what I bought from them. Also, their system was wireless and you can set it up yourself. One time, I had few questions, so I called them. They answered my questions right away and got my issues fixed. The quality and cost of the equipment are good and it was extremely easy to set up. It's the type where they tell you what to do step-by-step and there wasn’t much thought that had to go into it. If you want something that you can set up on your own and that stays monitored, go get Frontpoint. They’re extremely quick when the alarm goes off. They helped me out and I've had no bad experience with them.

I read somewhere that Frontpoint was rated one of the better home security system companies. I also liked their cost and it seemed very easy to get the options that I wanted with them. So, I signed up. When I called them for the initial purchase and for an issue with a sensor, the reps I talked to handled my situation as best as they could. But the instructions for the installation of the door and window sensors could’ve been clearer. The set up took a little longer than I expected and that could’ve been for the directions not being clear on the door and window sensors. They would tell you to put the sensor on the door while it’s shut, but when I did that, it would register the door as open and it was very confusing.

Other than that, everything seems to be working fine so far, and having the Frontpoint system has affected my wife's sense of security. But my garage door sensor doesn’t register every time the door is opened and closed, though I haven’t had a chance to call Frontpoint about it yet. Also, I haven’t tested the window sensors as the windows haven’t been opened since I installed them. But the door sensors work fine. I also use the smartphone app to make sure everything is locked up. Most of the time, I leave the house then I arm the system with my cellphone through the app and I don’t use the keypad to do so. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade everything to the touch screen touch pad. I would also like to get the automatic door locks and the garage door openers where I can open it from my cellphone. That way, if it’s left open and I see that the sensor says so, I can still close it from wherever I’m at.

The Frontpoint system matched with the cellular system and I also like that it was something that I could do and I didn't have to have strangers come in and install it. My grandson and I worked together and it took a while to figure out the installation, but it got better once we did.

The quality of the equipment seems fair for the price. It's small, plastic and has an adhesive, so I'm hoping it holds up over time. It came with a limited number of sensors and I put them on the primary spots, but I would like more to do some secondary spots. But when the system is on and somebody opens the door, the alarm goes off loudly and it calls the police. Overall, I like the Frontpoint system.

I’ve been pleased with Frontpoint. I got online and checked on different people with other products, and I checked how up to date, how sophisticated, and how compact Frontpoint's system was. The system I had before was very archaic. I had a control box in the attic and that was bad. Frontpoint's system is a lot more up to date with what it needed to be by today’s terms as far as looking at benefits. It came highly recommended by an online site that was comparing all of the different systems. I'm fairly pleased with it even though there’s one who complained about the switch and everything on it. I still use it. At night time, I just lock it down really tight and anybody who comes in the front door is a dead man, as far as I’m concerned.

The first Frontpoint rep I talked about the situation didn't understand what I was trying to say. I presented myself well enough as far as problems. He was more concerned about the spacing of the switches. I got a couple doors that require a little bit more than the switch will reach and will do anything more than three quarter of inch. And I understood that but he did not listen very well. But the second Individual I talked to listened a little bit better, and I gave him a little bit better description of what was going on.

The installation was a lot more involved because each of the sensors was screwed in. The switches that are a lot smaller provided a little bit easier installation. The old system I had had a lot more components to deal with. Our Frontpoint system is a lot more compact compared with the old system. So, there were lesser sensors to put up for fire detection and smoke detection. I wish they would have a little bit more instructions on how to install the chime, when you’re going in and out the door. Other than that, the system's simple to operate. The cost seems to be competent. And anytime I call somebody, they’re very good on the phone. For the average consumer, Frontpoint is top from the field.

I worked with them and found that they had good customer service as well. They made payment easy too. The lady rep asked us how many openings, such as doorways, that we have and where we wanted to put our sensors. We have a window sensor and she asked me how many of those that I wanted and if I wanted the doorbell thingy or all the other extras and stuff, and I told her no. She was very interactive on getting everything sent to us. She told us the best places to put the sensor, which was immensely useful because I couldn’t imagine trying to figure out ourselves and then putting it in the wrong place. We didn’t have to do any drilling or hammering, so the installation was simple and nice.

We locked ourselves out one day and we banged on the door. The alarm went off and they called immediately. I love Frontpoint because of that. I also love the convenience of being able to go on my phone and disable the alarm. Whenever we’d have to speak with their customer service reps, they have been very polite. They were also nice to get the job done in a timely fashion. Overall, I like the quality of Frontpoint's equipment and I think it's worth it. It's easy to use, efficient and cost-effective.

Their price was reasonable as well, and the do-it-yourself installation was cool, which was a big seller for me ‘cause I have more control where I could put the equipment.

My initial call with Frontpoint's customer service was when they helped set up the security system. The rep was great, friendly and helpful. The people there weren’t very pushy and didn’t try to recommend more equipment than what I needed after we described our home. With the set up for the alarm and the panel, it didn’t work right away. So we made a call with Frontpoint and their tech support was great. There was a step-by-step instruction and they got everything running on the same day. We are looking at adding up a few different things that Frontpoint have, so we’ve kept the features just as is.

Frontpoint's equipment is of good quality and the cost is great They have the app there, so we can control some things and see what’s going on, and also arm and disarm the system from my cell phone. That’s a nice touch and it works well. It’s easy to navigate and the sensors do exactly what they’re supposed to do and so we’re very happy with the system.

We previously had a more traditional old-school wireline service. We ended up moving and wanted to have a home security system. But we thought we were overpaying for what we got. So, we did some shopping and switched to Frontpoint. The price was important and the general simplicity of it was attractive. We could also try it for free and if we didn’t like it, we could send it back.

Their salespeople have been nice and some of the service people I’ve talked to have been pleasant. But there have been a few periods where something has triggered and the transition from asking us if everything is okay, to figuring out the technical issue that’s going on in order to fix this false alarm, is sluggish. The person who calls isn’t a technical person, so if you’re having a technical issue, they have to transition you to a technical person. I liked this business model ‘cause you would pay for the technical expertise. But here I am with a technical problem waiting on somebody from somewhere to call me whenever they can. That’s not a very optimal operational process for transitioning from active alarms and active things to solving those problems.

The installation was not complicated. They also try to walk you through it to the best of their ability, but ultimately, they’re not in your house. The person on the phone would tell you where it should go but that was where it wouldn't make sense. Also, the price per door or window sensor was fairly high. It’s $30 a sensor. So you have to opt for something that’s simpler and more cost-effective and put a couple motion sensors in the house and hope that they are in the right place if somebody gets through a window and the motion sensor gets them.

When I take into account everything, Frontpoint is fairly priced. It may be a little expensive for what you get relative to what you could get if you paid a slight bit more and have somebody come to your house. They should weigh the pros and cons of substituting somebody on the phone to having somebody in person to help you think through what solution you’re trying to construct. Also, the technical support issue could be managed a little better on their end.

I got a home security system from Frontpoint due to burglaries in the neighborhood and the experience has been good so far. I did online research of cost, installation requirements and system capabilities. I liked that I could do most of the setup myself without having to incur installation fees and charges. During the setup period, the reps were very helpful over the phone. They troubleshooted and interacted with me to get certain components up and working. I had one device on a window that wasn't functioning properly and they worked me through testing ways to see if that would solve the problem. When it didn't, within five working days, I had a new replacement piece out to me and they worked with me over the phone again to get that component integrated with the rest of the system.

I did the installation in the afternoon and the system was up and running in three hours. I ordered everything online and they came in one very convenient box. They were all labeled and very straightforward in terms of the instructions. I had problems with the electronics of one terminal device in the window and they worked through that problem quickly with me. We're very satisfied with the features for our needs. We like the online monitoring through the Frontpoint app on the phone and we can activate and/or disengage the system from our cell phones. If a guest inadvertently left a window open, I can see that on my phone and I can go directly to that device and correct the situation without having to search around the house for it.

We opened a garage door and an alarm sounded because we forgot to turn it off. We did not make it to the panel in time to disengage it and within two minutes, I got a call from Frontpoint asking if everything was okay and they asked for my security code. I know that if our house is broken into, if they are gonna call me on my cell and if I'm not there, I can immediately tell them that I’m not at home and ask them to send the police. We also had a smoke detector that I put on with sticky pads and it didn't mechanically adhere. Over time, it fell off and when it hit it, it set off an alarm. We got a call from the fire department within three minutes and I physically anchored the device after that. So, we feel pretty secure because we know the response time is very short and it happened every time.

Also, it was wired and I didn’t want it anymore because someone can cut the wires. I went with Frontpoint and I love it. It’s also much cheaper than the one I had. Their reps were friendly and helpful. I like the system very much. I wish I had ordered another glass breaker because I don’t have one for my patio room and there are a lot of glass in it.

There’s only a certain amount that comes with the package and everything that you order has a price on it. I just told them what doors I wanted the alarm placed on and the system itself. So, I didn’t have any problems with getting what I ordered. I also didn’t have any problems doing the installations. It was easy. However, they need to send more tape than they do for you to secure it. They only send a certain amount of two-sided adhesive and you need more than what they sent. The only problem I had, and it wasn’t because of the system, was that my front door is so far away from my bedroom that I couldn’t hear the sound on it. So, they sent me another stronger device and put it on my door.

I use my phone in order to set my system whenever I’m away, and it has been working great. My alarm went out accidentally, but I found out I had the glass breakers in the wrong place. I had dropped the top of my toilet and it went off, but when it went off, it said “kitchen.” So, I realized I had my glass breakers in the reversed because the incident happened in my master bedroom. So, I’ve already taken care of it and reversed them.

I wanted the doorbell and they didn’t have it in stock, so I tried the camera to see if it would work. The installation went fine. My only issue with the camera was that I would have had to get it installed some way because I could not have the cord just everywhere outside.

As for the timeframe from when I got notified, if somebody walked into the view of the camera, it took way too long. So, it took sometimes up to two minutes for me to get a notification. That wasn’t gonna work because I have a home daycare and I needed to know if somebody was at my door right away since I lock the door -- no one’s gonna stand there for two minutes usually. So, when I returned the camera and got the doorbell, it at least notifies me within three seconds. I feel safer with the system and the cost is reasonable, too. The system is also very easy to use. I love the crash detector of the window because we like to have our windows open so then we don’t have to have all those fixed on the windows. We also love the beep when the door opens so we know somebody’s coming in. I really like the system.

I have a house in Virginia that is very old. It’s not pre-wired for anything and therefore a wireless alarm system was the obvious choice. My original intention was to purchase one of the SimpliSafe systems which sounded very good on TV. They used to have an affiliation with the NRA, but after the school shooting in Florida they negated their association with the NRA, and I decided I would never do business with them. So I got on the internet and sought out alternative wireless systems. Subsequently, I found out that SimpliSafe's system is a proprietary system that doesn’t work with anybody else’s software, whereas the Frontpoint system is decent and compatible with a number of other manufacturers’ products so I bought it. The reps at Frontpoint have been always very polite and helpful. If I had any problems or questions, they were answered before I hung up.

I did the installation myself. The features that are offered with the system are fine, but I needed to add to the basic package to make the system do what I wanted it to do and I got several other contact and motion sensors. The system also has the cameras, but I have to have my internet service on all the time to use that. But since it’s a summer house, I don’t have the internet on all the time there. So, I can’t use the cameras unless I wanna pay for the internet year-round when I’m not there most of the time, but that’s just my personal preference. Other than that, the equipment seems to work fine. Any time that I’ve had an opening, power failures, or arming and disarming from the phone, it has always worked very quickly and efficiently. I use the smartphone features and if I can use them, then they’ve gotta be easy to use.

I purchased this house and I wanted it to be secure. I found Frontpoint online, I did some research and I liked what they had to offer. Everything came packaged with instructions and it was easy to set up. The installation took 10 minutes. Every time I leave the house, I use the smartphone features and I feel good, safe and secure knowing that I have Frontpoint. I would recommend it.

There was a time when I decided to use a different security system provider. I live out in the country, so whether I have one person or another, nobody’s gonna be local. Instead, there’s a call center that’s gonna call somebody. I tried Frontpoint and I've had great interactions with their reps thus far. Every time I leave my garage, somebody calls me because I forget to turn the alarm off. It is a natural instinct to start the garage open before I get there and I forget that I gotta turn the alarm off first. Even so, Frontpoint's system has a web app and that makes it easier. I do it all through my phone, so I can disarm it quickly and it works out well.

The installation of my system was simple. It was just peeling and sticking and then linking the equipment with the central panel. However, the motion sensor took a little time to connect or to activate. It was also a matter of putting it somewhere where it would pick up what I’m wanting to pick up. I also wasn’t ready to mount the sensor to my wall yet and put holes in the wall because it’s a new house, so I had to find a spot that I could put it until I decide for a permanent location.

The equipment has been fine. The very high reviews for Frontpoint led me to them and I’m willing to try anything for a time period. If it wasn’t for the high ratings, I wouldn’t even give them a try -- having a three-year commitment and charging as much as they do. I’ve had ADT for years at multiple cities and I’ve never paid more than $32 a month. I am paying $45 for Frontpoint and if I decide to get the doorbell camera, which I would like to, then it’s gonna go to $50. That’s a huge increase compared to $32 that I’ve been paying since back in the mid-2000s timeframe.

There was confusion when I first started off with Frontpoint with the glass breakage. We were trying to decide whether I was gonna have a motion sensor or not. I ended up getting a motion sensor eventually, but it was just miscommunication being the person was on the phone. The way they described the motion sensor was every time I will arm it, the motion sensor will be on. I asked what would happen if I get up in the middle of the night and get some water, and they said that I needed to get the glass breakage. I got it, but, later on, I figured out that it was just like any other system. It won’t set off when you set it. The motion sensor is not turned on when you arm it. I had to add the sensor later as opposed to getting it right up front.

While the equipment cost is very reasonable, the back end monthly cost is expensive. I wish Frontpoint would be a little cheaper considering that one of their toughest competitors, SimpliSafe, only charge $15 per monitoring fee. There is a huge difference between $15 and $45 and $45 is a lot for a monitoring fee compared to others. There are others out there that are gonna be competitive as far as same features and a lot of the same things. They are locking somebody in for three years and the fact that they are charging that much, if they are not careful, they are missing out on a lot of business by being as expensive as they are. If someone decides to start rating Frontpoint lower for whatever reason, they will lose lots of business because of the price.

I live alone and there’s a lot of homeless people who moved into our neighborhood. A Frontpoint representative told me what they have and what they offer. I got their system and the installation process was easy. It’s do-it-yourself and everything’s numbered. Then I’d go onto the internet and say what door is what. Also, I can go and buy more stuff if I want. Everything is working fine and I haven’t had any issues but the only thing I would change on it is being able to set up an automatic turn off time. If I get up at 5:00 AM, it would turn off at 5:00 AM so I can go outside without remembering to shut the alarm off because that might shock up. Other than that, the smartphone feature is handy and works great. Since the system uses the cellphone and not a Wi-Fi deal, that’s a big selling point especially for me who has Wi-Fi outside that's very easily cut. So, I would recommend Frontpoint.

I compared several systems and Frontpoint was the best one for our needs. Any questions I had, their representatives answered me and they know the system as well. Also, I did the installation myself and it wasn't difficult. Right now, everything’s rolling along peacefully. It seems that the system will do what I want. I would recommend Frontpoint to others.

So far, my experience with Frontpoint has been okay. The installation of the system took about 30 minutes and it was fairly easy. However, the system is a little expensive and there are some technical issues like the sensor not being responsive. I would have to walk three or four times before it goes off. I did everything that was suggested like pretending I left and everything stood still for a good three to five minutes. And then, I tried to walk across the sensor. It has to be walked at least three times before it sees me. I spoke with the representatives from Frontpoint and they were professional but they were not able to resolve the technical thing with the sensor. But aside from the sensor, the features in our system are fairly decent.

Frontpoint is one of the best systems out there and I own it. I researched it online and it came up one as of the top 10. The rep that called me was a very good rep. He wasn’t trying to be all pushy and sell me stuff I didn’t need. He took down what he thought I would need and gave me my recommendation which turned out to be exactly what I needed. Installing the system was easy. If someone like me can do it, anybody could. The equipment worked great with my phone. That's all I use and I love it. I'm 100% satisfied with everything Frontpoint has so far and I recommended it to a few people already.

I didn’t want myself unprotected. My daughter has Frontpoint's home security system for a while and it seemed to be simple and working good. I got two systems with them--one on a business that I've had since May and one on my home for a longer time prior to that. The installation was pretty straightforward. Also, the cost is reasonable. And so far, I have no complaints about the company. When I had one sensor that kept giving false positives on my business alarm, I called them and they sent me out a replacement sensor ASAP. Since then, there have been no issues. From my experience, Frontpoint is hard to beat.

I like what Frontpoint is offering, and they are ahead of the game. Not everybody else is doing the same thing as Frontpoint is doing, like wireless and remote stuff. Their reps helped out a lot. They had knowledge of their own products, and anything that I needed, they were able to find it quickly, and ordered it if I needed to order it. You gotta use certain products they offered. It’s not you can grab whatever camera you want or any doorbell you want. You have to use a specific one, and that’s it. If you don’t use, there’s drawback to it.

I had a camera, but I didn’t like it that it was still a plug-in, and then the wires dangle on all over the place. I wasn’t too fond of that, so I turned it back in. Frontpoint just gave me a credit, and I used it. Also, there were things that I had to call them because they just won’t sync up. But everything has been good so far. The price is reasonable and the service is good. Frontpoint is a good company, and I’d recommend them.

Their reps were very informative and polite. Thereafter, installing the system was really easy. Everything was very self-explanatory and it was a color by number kind of thing. Since the installation, I've been loving my ability to access my system through my phone. It's been perfect and I don't have to worry about forgetting my alarm. I got it for a really great price too. Other people should definitely consider Frontpoint.

I live in Georgia and I purchased a security system for a rental property in Louisiana. I wanted to put cameras on the house so I can watch it until we fix it up. I already had AT&T's Digital Life where I live but I put Frontpoint on the rental property ‘cause it was much cheaper than what I have. The Frontpoint representatives were really nice. The instructions were simple enough for a non-technical person like myself to set it up, because I started it and then my husband finished it. He said that it was easy too. We were able to put the door monitor things on as well. I had some issues with setting the camera up and they walked me through it. I still couldn’t figure it out but a tenant moved in that time so I just didn’t worry about that part.

While I’m not using Frontpoint anymore, I liked it when I had it. Everything was working fine. It was the same thing like the high-end alarm people when they come out and set it up. The Frontpoint system is equal to all the high-end system. The smartphone features was important to me ‘cause I needed to be able to pull it up on the phone so I was really enthused about that part. I can monitor on my phone, I can record also, and then it was easy to set up and use. So, get Frontpoint. I would recommend it. I have also recommended it to my daughter who needed it.

I wanted to have security in the house. I had ADT before and they were a little pushy compared to the Frontpoint I have now. Their reps have been excellent. When I was on the phone with the representative, I told them what I was looking for, gave a description of the house, and they put me into what I exactly needed for the price range I was looking for. They weren’t pushy in trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

In less than half an hour, the system installation was done and it was very easy. The instructions were very clear too. It has been a good experience. I really enjoyed the customer service aspect and the equipment and the service have worked great since I got it. Everything is exactly what I need. The system works perfectly and the quality is good. We used to rent so I had to go with the provider that was used by the property management. However, since we bought a new house, it was time to get a home security system. My Realtor gave me a discount code for a competitive system but I found out later that she uses Frontpoint as well and she loves it. I liked the price of Frontpoint as well as the wireless sensors which doesn’t require a phone line. The sales team was great and they understood that there were other products on the market. They worked hard to get me a discount to make it even more competitive and the agents knew their stuff.

I bought a water sensor and a smoke detector after I had my initial package and they’re working fine. The instructions to install them was very simple and easy to follow. Also, the smartphone features are great. However, Frontpoint doesn’t do exterior cameras and then, the cameras were a little pricey. If they could add cameras, I would have gone with that versus a different set that I have. Nevertheless, I would recommend it as the system.

We just moved to this area. I have four kids and I don’t know if I really trusted the neighborhood, so getting a home security system seemed like a good idea. I started investigating companies and Frontpoint was the first one that I clicked on. However, we were disappointed with the way that their reps talked to me. We were going back and forth between two different sales agents who were both calling us within hours apart of each other and telling us different prices. They offered us so much stuff for such a price and when we told them we can't afford that, they lowered the price. One of the guys lowered the price significantly and then the other guy called back to try to give the system to us with a higher price again. So, it seemed that it was either they were not communicating or they were trying to steal each other’s sale.

They should also have explained how some of the parts work and some of them don't. The main thing I really wanted was the video camera and doorbell system. They led me to believe that with us having a store-bought system, they'd send us an adapter and there would be no issues since they do that all the time. But, it turned out that Frontpoint does not have adapters that go with the parts, so we had to mail those parts because they don't work. They are the most important things to me and I don't have them. We've also not been reimbursed for those. So, the features we have are not 100% what I wanted. We thought we'd try just windows and doors beeping, but without any camera, it just not kind of worth it. What's in my system works, though. The alarm goes off if we shut it. Also, when my son came in one day while my wife and I were gone and he couldn't remember his password, the cops showed up.
