Frontpoint's customer service was very helpful and they weren't pushy. It was like I was talking to somebody that wasn’t in sales. I'm in sales and I'm the type of person that needs to be sold. So, I can appreciate the salesmanship. But with other companies, it was different because they were really, really pushy. The self-installation process was easy enough. There was a little bit of a mix-up with one of the pieces of equipment that I got. The person that was helping me wasn’t aware that I needed an existing doorbell hooked up to my home. I didn’t know that I needed that. So, I have a piece of equipment that I’m not gonna be able to use until I get that installed. Other than that, everything’s been pretty good. I like how intuitive the app is and how everything was set up.

The devices on my old security system were crude, so I started looking online and saw Frontpoint. They sent everything in the mail, and then I called the gentleman and he walked me through everything. It took me a half hour to do it with being on the phone, but they were short on a couple of pieces, so they sent them out to me. Once we did the main door and the slider doors, the rest was very easy. The gentleman also told me to just call him if I had any questions. And my payment comes out of my checking account, which is nice.
Frontpoint a good system. There are no wires and it still works. With the smartphone feature, you can see it on your phone when you’re not home and the alarms will be on your phone in case you forget something. It's good technology. I also got a couple of signs on the front yard and on the other side way and they do notice them if they pull in. But I should’ve gotten the outside cameras, too. Other than that, I'm very happy with Frontpoint and I like it better than the other home security I’ve had. A couple of friends of mine also asked about Frontpoint and I showed them everything in the house.

I need a home security system for monitoring, and Frontpoint was the top rated. I used ADT before and Frontpoint responds faster. When ADT would get an alert, if they can’t get a hold of you or you’re not available, it takes about 45 minutes before somebody comes out. Frontpoint on the other hand has a more expedited system.
Frontpoint is all cellular and you just stick it to the wall. A monkey could follow the installation. The instructions were dummy-proofed. My system is customizable. A person talked to me about the layout, and I put everything to cover all the areas. It took five minutes to go through it. It was easy. I ordered what I needed. Frontpoint's equipment works just like advertised. The quality is good. I use the smartphone features all the time and they're easy to use. A two-year-old could use them. When I looked on the internet, the reviews said Frontpoint is good. They have the best price and the system is easy to use, and I agree. They’re the best bang for the buck.

Frontpoint's reps provided everything I needed. They guided me during the installation which was easy. Aside from one of my sensors falling off the wall and not working, everything is great and it’s well worth the cost. I feel more secure that the place, with nobody there, is taken care of better. I’m very satisfied.

I live alone and I have a home security system for safety purposes. Frontpoint measures up so far compared to my previous provider and they’ve been good. Pat was wonderful and helpful in giving me the other options. Everybody else was such a big help and the process has been very great. My brother did the installation but he ended up calling to get some guidance. The system was giving us an issue so we needed to go back over and review what we had done wrong.
I definitely feel more relieved since having Frontpoint in my home. I like the features offered in the system, especially the ability to set the alarm when I leave. The quality of the equipment is great and the cost is definitely worth it. Frontpoint is affordable in terms of what I have to pay for in other companies and the customer service is amazing.

We have a new home and it had part of the home security system installed. I've also used the Frontpoint system with my other house and I’ve been happy with the equipment. Its price is decent and someone recommended it. When I was getting the system set up, I had to call in and get clarification on how to tie the system that was already here with the new equipment. The interaction I had with their rep has been great and tying the new system in to the former system was very easy.
I was disappointed though that Frontpoint doesn’t do exterior cameras and I almost went with a different company based on that. They might be doing that the next year but it seemed a little bit behind. I love their smartphone features. It's user-friendly. The system is great but currently, my main keypad just went blank. It’s not working so I’m completely off right now. Other than that, everything has been fine. Their cost is average and on point with what everyone else is charging. Their system definitely works and I like how the sensors go off and I can hear it so I feel secure.

I went to Frontpoint after I've seen their reviews and price. Compared with others security companies they have a good price. Their sales rep was very friendly and nice. They helped me well. The installation also went very smoothly. The system was easy to install. The door sensors are very small and nice. It's not that much visible and overall it's a good quality. But then the connection of our device wasn't that good. I called customer service and we moved around here and there and we found a good spot. It now connects to my mobile and it's working perfectly.

We purchased Frontpoint home security for the house that we bought out of town that we weren’t living in continuously. Frontpoint's price is much better than ADT that we have where we live now and they're very on top of everything. They call us anytime anything goes on and their reps were very professional. We were looking for certain things and we talked about cameras. But because we may rent this unit out at some point, they told us that people get weird with cameras around and I get it. I wouldn’t want cameras around when I’m there either.
Installation was very easy. The instructions were simple and it was very easy to get a hold of their reps. The installer had a question about hanging up the motion detectors and they walked him through it. The features were great and the quality of the equipment has been great too. Most of the other systems have to have internet or Wi-Fi and this one, you don’t. I use the smartphone features all the time. When I pull up, I go on there and I unlock the doors, turn the system off so I can make a run for it. With Frontpoint, it’s nice to know that when you’re not there, someone else is looking out for you. I would definitely tell others to use Frontpoint too.

I'm not home very often so I'd like to be able to manage it. Frontpoint was cheaper than some of the other home security system so I signed up with them. Their reps were very professional, friendly and they were able to answer any questions I had. I didn't order very much. I just had three sensors and two motion sensors. I did the installation myself and the experience was quick and easy. It took me about 15 minutes once I got it confirmed that it was all set up. The system features are okay. I paid extra though for the mobile app, which should've been included in the plan. Nonetheless, I like that I can check when the doors are open and close which gives me a bit more peace of mind. The quality of the system is all right. Some of the motion sensor's sensors don't pick up motions a lot of the time, but it's quick when doors open.

I needed a security system and looked at other companies, but the price of the company that I wanted to get was much more. Frontpoint's product was almost similar to theirs but a little less expensive. The salesperson informed me what day I was going to be receiving the equipment and what the cost was, and everything that he told me was correct. He walked me through and told me that the instructions were there. I asked him questions about the instructions and up to that point, everything was fine. I like the fact that the system is wireless and it was easy to install.
However, after that, I couldn’t seem to get anybody to help me in regards to the problem that arose. I've been trying to get the system set up since I purchased it because it keeps on telling me that something is wrong with the one in the bedroom and I haven't been able to get that fixed. When I call, they transfer me to another phone number and then my call gets dropped. Even though they say it's easy, it never occurs to them that there can be something that arises like my problem. The person that purchases the system might not have that much knowledge to be able to install it. I would have preferred someone to come to my house.

During my initial call with Frontpoint, the young man whom I spoke to was very helpful and polite. I got a system from them which was affordable enough. My daughter and son-in-law who have Frontpoint at their house as well were able to help me with the installation and it was a breeze. Now, I feel more secure when I'm away for an extended period of time. I feel a little confident about the wellbeing of the jewelry and other things in my home.

I have a home security system out of necessity and I have Frontpoint. Their representatives are friendy and helpful. Getting started with the self-installation was difficult at first, and the instructions were easy and vague at the same time. Still, I would recommend Frontpoint.

The Frontpoint sales person was pretty accommodating, as far as trying to give me the best price and the product. I mainly went with them because of the price. They gave a great deal, as far as trial period and then, they increased it when I was gonna send it back the first time because of the hardwire and the installing. Then, we finally got it all figured out and the rep said to keep it for an additional time period and it was free of charge until such date.
The installation was not easy because it was velcro strips with the glue and when the door or the molding is very limited on height, it wouldn't line up right. It's simple but there have to be more adjustments and there's not enough space on my molding for it to match up. There’s only one door that I really I was able to put it on and everything else wouldn’t match up. I’m getting ready to send this one in because it’s too difficult. They aren’t very user-friendly for my application. Also, the system is kinda like modular, you set it up at an outlet, but we wanted a hard install. We wanted our other monitor or keypad. Once I got it mounted in, I went ahead and mounted the rest of the stuff which was when I ran into other problems.

We moved down to the country, and we thought a home security system would be something wise to look at. My fiancé used to live here before and she had been broken into a couple of times, so I decided to get a security system for it. I was looking around to see the prices, and Frontpoint was a little cheaper. I called them for the installation, and they told me how to do it step-by-step. I got it setup, and then I called them again and they hooked it up for me. Since having Frontpoint installed, I feel really good when I leave the home. I got the sensors for the door, a couple of cameras, and a couple of motion sensors that came with the pack that I got. The security equipment has good quality. It’s worked really good. I’m happy with it. Also, the people are really helpful, and they call right away. They even stayed on the line with me once to check the cameras and to see if I needed the police out here which I didn’t. I’d recommend Frontpoint.

I had ADT but I wanted to try a different home security system and Frontpoint seemed to be a logical choice. Their pricing and the accessibility as far as the wireless connection made me decide to go with them. The salesman did an excellent job in explaining the system to me. When I was installing the system myself, the instructions were confusing. Programming the keypad was a big thing. I'm tech-savvy myself and the instruction was misleading to me. But the technical support did a excellent job in walking me through it and that was a great experience. I like the features of the system. It's simple and straightforward once you get it installed. Also, their smartphone is neat. I can check my system when I'm not at home, I can arm it and disarm it. I live in a good neighborhood and we all watch out for one another and Frontpoint is a little added security. So far, everything is good.

I wanted to update the house a little bit and use Frontpoint's system that has some smart home features on top of some security protection. Our Police Chief also uses and recommends Frontpoint. I worked with a great staff for the initial setup with Frontpoint and I liked the self-installation process a lot. It gave me a better understanding of the system and I found that it was quite simple to get set up. The system works great and I really like everything that comes with it. I’ve got all the doors monitored but my big piece was being able to add in things like the carbon monoxide detector, the intelligent smoke detector and the flood sensor. I basically have the brain now and, if I really wanted to, I can completely lock the place down. I also have the service that lets me use my smartphone. It's like the control pad and being able to keep tabs on everything that’s going on with the house remotely is really nice.
Frontpoint covers more. My wife and I will do some travel and I don’t have to worry now because when I think about those little things, I know they're taken care of. I’ve also got other people who would watch the house and they've been added to the system. So if there’s an issue, they can get in touch with me or Frontpoint, right through the app. It’s a cool setup. The cost is also right on point. Frontpoint is a great group and I’m glad to have their service.

I purchased a new home so I looked into getting a home security system. I had ADT in the past and Frontpoint was way superior. I liked the ease of installation and the whole system is connected to a cellular instead of a Wi-Fi connection. So, if the electric goes out or the Wifi goes out, the system still operates. I also appreciate the tamper-proof abilities of the system. If the system is tampered with in any way, then it gives an alarm. You could tell immediately if someone was violating your perimeter in two seconds. Their system is self-sufficient.
Frontpoint's customer service was the best I have ever had and the reps were the friendliest and the most helpful. They answered calls right away and there was usually someone on within selection. I didn’t get an automated voice message when I called where you have to hit a thousand prompts. Also, they have always solved my problems. The instructions for the installation were simple but I had to call them to get the activation on some of the more advance stuff like the doorbell and the camera. $49 a month is not bad and that’s optional. If I didn’t want the monitoring or the camera space, it would be free. Frontpoint is a smart purchase if you’re looking for a security system.

It's been four months since I've had a Frontpoint system. I liked the ease to have it installed. It was do-it-yourself. Also, it's wireless. Every time I called their reps, they were very helpful in resolving my problems. I had to call at least twice, and they were very professional. While the cost is excellent, I don't like that I have to purchase something additional to have access on my phone. Overall, you end up getting a lot of quality with Frontpoint.

My house was broken into so I ordered what I wanted from Frontpoint and then added and subtracted things from the package since they have good ratings. I had this system in a rental house and knew that it was secure, because you could shut off the phone lines and the power, and if someone opens a door and then smashes the control unit, it wouldn't matter. The alarm still gets sent right away and needs to be deactivated. Even though everything costs too much, it was still fair with regards to the quality.
Their customer service was excellent and was actually better than I expected. They were easy to get a hold of, knowledgeable and did not try to upsell. When I asked about something, the woman I was on the line with explained to me how it worked, and steered me away from something that I probably would've bought. She said it didn't fit what I wanted so I felt they were really honest. The installation process was really easy for me since the instructions were detailed enough. Once I put the devices where I wanted them, I had to name each device and tie it in, which was a little tedious but not hard.
The only problems I have are with half of the window break sensors. They're not seeded correctly and they throw a tamper code. So the sensors think somebody's tampering with them. And so, I called Frontpoint up, and they walked me through on how to fix it which was super easy to do. Two were fixable, and for the other one, they sent me a replacement right away. They also sent me a return FedEx thing which was already paid so I just put the other one in and sent it back to them.
Nowadays, when I go out of town for numerous days in a row, I no longer worry too much about the house being broken into 'cause I know I'll get a notice. They'll call me if an alarm goes off. As a matter of fact, I have it set it up wherein if I go more than a mile away from the house and it's not turned on, I would get a notice on my smartphone saying that I'm past my range and that the security system's off and I could turn it on remotely.

I live out in the country with my mom and I had some incidents with people coming on the property. I wanted to make sure that we're safe and that my mom is safe when I'm not there so I decided to purchase a home security system. Since I'm out in a rural area, I can't really rely on an existing phone line so we need satellite. I researched for different warranty companies online, what they offered and I went with Frontpoint because of their reviews.
I got the little key fob remote but I wish I had the ability to have a control panel at two different entrances because my bedroom is on the one end of the house and my mom’s is on the other. So, if somebody comes to the door, I go to the front door to disarm or to arm it. Furthermore, I have to be careful in making sure I look at the app online, making sure it's synced and updated because I've set the alarm off before where my app said it was disarmed and it wasn’t. So far, I'm still trying to figure out and work things with the app.
I've really been satisfied with the system so far and the cost is okay. I'm just hoping that the monthly fee doesn’t go up. I've also added other components and wanted to add more. However, the initial cost of the products and things that you add are sometimes a little much. So, I have to be careful what I can add and when I can add it. I wish they have more on sale for existing customers to make them a bit more affordable. That’s how you keep customers. I want to keep building on the system and make it better, and I wanna add more cameras on the outside. And so, it's gonna be cost-prohibitive for me right now until I'm able to do that. Nevertheless, I had a good experience with Frontpoint.

My contract with my other security system was up, so I researched other home security system companies and went with Frontpoint. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable and helpful and their system was easy to set up. Their equipment is good. But they didn't have the cameras with the battery or with the solar panel ones. Their cameras had to be plugged in, so it wasn't gonna work for where I wanted them. Other than that, I haven’t had connection issues with Frontpoint, unlike my other provider who had trouble connecting and staying connected to their software. Overall, Frontpoint has been good and I have told a few friends about my experiences with them.

We had a conversation with some friends about security systems and we decided to finally do it. Friends recommended Frontpoint and we had a good experience with their sales and customer service reps. We worked with the system and when it came, I installed it. I’m mechanically and electronically inclined, so I found it to be very simple. The way it was packaged and the way everything was described in terms of installation, it would be easy for somebody even if it wasn’t with a skill level as myself. The features were straightforward we could turn it off or on with the smartphone. It’s good and I’m glad that we did it. When I bought a new condo, it was time for me to get a home security system. I had used different home security systems but what I like about Frontpoint is that I didn’t have to have a landline for their system to work. Also, if I need to move and go somewhere, I can take it with me, which is something I couldn’t do with the other systems. Additionally, I like the fact that if I have to give my key to somebody, I can give them a code that they can put in to set or unset the alarm. And that can be a temporary code that only lasts for so many hours, or it can be a permanent code.
The sales reps were informative as to what I would be able to do with the system. It was a little daunting at first because they send you the system and you set it up. The instructions though were very spot on and there's no second-guessing. The way they had the instructions set up in the package itself is an instruction guide. It made sense and I was able to get through it and install all the pieces that I wanted and where I wanted them. My biggest thing though with Frontpoint is being able to control it with my cell phone. I was so used to a system where if I come home, I’ve gotta make it upstairs and then to the system before it goes off. With your cell phone, you can actually turn it on as soon as you get into the house if you come in from the basement area. Other than that, if I call with a question, their customer service reps have an answer. I would recommend Frontpoint given my experience.

I wanted peace of mind. I work a lot so I want to know that everybody’s secure at home. I purchased a security system from Frontpoint. I used ADT in the past but I didn’t do my research. They charged me a lot of money in taxes and surcharge fees over the span of the contract, which equates to a lot of money, and was not cost effective. But with Frontpoint, I was reassured that the agent is not out to oversell me any equipment that I don’t need. The agent kindly took the time, asked me how my home was built, advised me of the only thing that I did need which was the minimal, and they were able to save me a lot of money, and that let me know that it’s a good company and that they’re concerned about me.
The system was easy to set up. Everything was labeled. If I had any issues with the unit, I could call, but I didn’t have any issues setting it up. I love the features in the system and the immediate response when the door is cracked or left open. It keeps telling me or reminding me that it was left open. The system hasn’t malfunctioned and it's very responsive, even with the app.
The cost is also the best on the market. Another thing that drove me to Frontpoint is that you purchase the equipment and you own it. There’s no long cost that’s dragged out over the span of the contract. I always recommend Frontpoint anytime I have a customer and they’re having cost issues with their alarm system or it’s taking up a lot of their internet bandwidth. I explain to them why I recommend it, as far as the great customer service, the pricing on the equipment, and also that it uses its own cellular signal and doesn’t take up your broadband.

When my husband decided to purchase a security system, we went with Vivint but their service was not compatible with our house so we switched to Frontpoint. We installed the equipment ourselves and that experience was cool. The system works but I do not like that the glass break sensor falls off the wall sometimes. Once it fell in the middle of the night when we were asleep and the alarm went off. That was annoying because we jumped up and got all nervous thinking that somebody was breaking into our house. My husband also said that the alarm is not loud enough for him.
I wish we had the option to record on the doorbell sensor whenever someone is in front of the door or rings the bell. For instance, this morning, when my husband came outside, he noticed that someone threw a bag of trash on our step and it would be nice to know who did it. My roommate didn’t work so there was always someone at home 24/7 when I went out of town or when I went to work during the day. He moved out, so I had no one at my house for a week or two when I went on vacation. I was looking at Frontpoint and SimpliSafe and their equipment was comparable but SimpliSafe wanted almost $800 for the setup. I got that setup for less than half through Frontpoint. The rep knew every question I could throw at him and he was a good guy. Installing the system took me about two hours. I got some old doors in my house and I had to fabricate little blocks so they would match up better. Other than that, the installation went super easy.
Frontpoint doesn’t have cameras that are exterior compatible though. I had to buy separate security cameras when I could have rolled everything into one system. But the system does everything I want it to. It has motion and door sensors and I bought a long-range door sensor because I have a detached garage that’s quite a ways back in the property, and the sensor reaches the base station pretty well. Also, I like that the touchscreen is hi-tech and straightforward and that it gives more options if I wanna bypass sensors. Plus, I can arm and disarm the system from my phone. All in all, the system provides peace of mind when I’m at work or on vacation.

I have a large number of firearms in my house and I wanted everything to be secure. The area I'm staying at is not a bad area, but it's not a good area either. So, I was looking into a home security system. My ex-girlfriend had Frontpoint at her house, so I also got Frontpoint this time. I like the features in my system. I had it once at my ex-girlfriend's before, so for the most part, I knew how everything worked.
Recently, when I was getting started, everything was kind of rocky but they eventually fixed all the issues. I had an issue with the delivery day. I was going out of town and I wanted to personally set the system up before I went out of town. Something happened with the delivery where I ended up having to get the delivery date changed. So, I had to pay someone to stay at my house. Also, Frontpoint ended up sending the wrong stuff. I had to pay more money for the person to stay at my house even longer so everything will be set up properly.
Now that I have a Frontpoint system at home, I feel more secure. Any time my door opens up, it lets me know who entered the code and I get alerted right away of whoever's at the door. I can look right at my camera to see who's coming in. The smartphone features are easy to use. I was a little confused at first setting up the sensitivity for each camera because I really didn't get in too much in all of that before. I had to figure out how to adjust the sensitivity for each camera so it will go off at the proper times. I had a point in time that I was recording a whole bunch of nothing like flies flying past the camera. I corrected it, but my experience was a little bit better the first time when I got Frontpoint with my ex-girlfriend. It's still good after that. The customer service representatives at Frontpoint have been helpful whenever I needed them. The system seems fine for me but I don't know if I will renew them. I think I’m being overcharged for it. I thought I was buying a deal that I can subscribe to for a period of time and then at the end of the time since I own the system I could change where it puts the number if there’s an alarm, but now they tell I can’t do that. That’s a disappointment.

I was gonna be travelling a lot and my wife would be home alone. So I looked into home security systems and in going through reviews online and looking at what everybody had to offer, I settled on Frontpoint. The salespeople answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. Everything worked the way I thought it would. Frontpoint is also very affordable and if you don’t mind doing your own installation, using Frontpoint is super easy. The installation was simple and the instructions were very good. When one of the sensors didn't wanna sync up at first, I called and they got it all fixed.
The system is really simple to use as well, and the app is intuitive for us. I synched the system up with my smartphone, and I turn the system on and off sometimes with the phone. The equipment is all sturdy too. I feel like it’s something that will last. I got everything that I wanted in it. I feel like our home is more protected now and my wife feels better about it there. We’re happy.

I wanted an added layer of security at home. Frontpoint's customer service talked about their ability to connect directly with a police officer that's closest to the house versus a precinct, which made me go with them. There was a self-guided installation that they provided videos for and very easy instructions so the installation was easy for us. The features have been exactly what we've needed. The system works great and it's been exactly what we've asked for. We've gotten great customer service too. Their customer service has been top-notch and better than any other company that I've dealt with. Also, we've had very good support from them anytime that we needed it. Since we had the system installed, we feel more supported and comfortable.

We got a new ground pool in the back, so I wanted a home security system to make sure that my kids weren’t gonna go out and drown. There are a few popular home security companies, but our friends have Frontpoint and they're happy with it, and that's why we chose it. My husband installed the system. It's a very straightforward system and the features that come with it are comprehensive and laid out very well. The equipment has a very good quality and the smartphone feature is super easy to use. However, there were unresolved issues with the alarms, but our interactions with their reps were very positive. The Frontpoint system is a great value for the amount of money that we paid for, so I'm very happy and I absolutely recommend them.

A home security system was convenient and the price was a little bit expensive, but then it was average of the industry. Also, I could install them on my own. I saw the comments and reviews online for Frontpoint and their rating was quite high. The sales reps answered the questions and the customer service reps tried their best to help me solve the issues. I customized the motion sensor, the indoor camera, and the door and window sensors. Installing the system was straightforward but with the indoor camera, I needed to set up the IP and wireless setting. It was a little bit complicated and sometimes they have trouble in connecting. When I’m travelling, I sometimes accidentally shut down the wireless, and it’s a little bit difficult to reconnect. So, it had some issues but overall, it was quite good.

We were looking and Frontpoint had the best reviews. The process was super easy. We didn’t have to worry about having anybody come and hook stuff up. Plus there was no original fee or anything like that for anybody to come out here. The reps were very professional and helpful. Also, the installation was self-explanatory. All they do is just send you whatever you’re getting for each window or door. There’s double-sided tape on it that you just hook up or put where you want and that’s it. Then you call or you just go in your app and you activate it. The system features are very good. We’ve accidentally tripped the alarm a few times and they contacted us right away. The system is very convenient to use and they’re always available whenever you contact them. It’s also very affordable for what you get. I love it for my wife.

I wanted a home security system that I could take with me and not just buy or rent the equipment and then have to leave it there. So, I liked that Frontpoint was portable and I could take it with me. I got their basic package, but I could add more things and increase the security level that I would want. Their customer service gentleman was very helpful and I had bought the system about three weeks before I installed it and they were able to postdate when my coverage would actually start being billed.
To install the Frontpoint system, I just followed the directions. It's just peeling the paper off and sticking it and lining it with the doors and the windows. It's very easy. Then I was able to connect it to the app, and it worked the first time. With the app, I can turn the notifications on and off and get notifications if it's been alarmed, or if it's armed or not armed. The app works very well with monitoring if there are different doors being opened. Also, Frontpoint is very reasonable in price.

I have three kids and I wanted to make sure my family is safe so I decided to purchase a home security system. I'm currently at a rental property and the Frontpoint security system is something that I would able to take out and move myself. I don't have to worry about somebody else coming out to do the installation. Also, I've been with other monitoring services for multiple years and I decided to go with someone else.
I talked to a rep from Frontpoint and we went over all of the different things in my house that I needed to cover, including different windows. We also discussed cameras and a doorbell monitor. It was easy talking to the rep once I was able to actually talk to her. At times, I had to do most of it through email. A good time for me to be able to get a hold of my rep wasn't necessarily a good time for them. Maybe I was a little later. Still, she was excellent and accommodating. She called me, emailed me multiple times and answered my questions very well, so that was super good.
The Frontpoint system is user-friendly. I had ADT before and I had some problems with using their online apps. It was a different setup because I owned my own home at that time. I liked the keypads a bit more for ADT. I don't know the Frontpoint keypad but I'm trying to learn it. I don't have time to sit down and look at the keypad and I use my phone for everything, which sometimes can be a pain. I always have internet, but it's not always the easiest to access, like if I'm in the kitchen. So, turning the alarm on and off every once in a while is an issue. Also, four monitors fell off the walls although I followed all the application rules. Three of them were brake sensors and the other one was a fire alarm, which fell off of the ceiling. One of the equipment still hasn't fallen which is nice but I had one which fell off twice.
The first time the monitor fell down, I put it back together and stuck it back up on the wall, but it wasn't communicating and it had to do something with the screw. So, I unscrewed it a bit and then put it back on, and it worked fine. The technical service was able to do that. Also, in the beginning, I had no idea what door was being opened or what sensor was going off, so it was a little hard to deal with. However, they were able to turn on the voice so that it would tell me what door was being opened. There were a couple of things that weren't directly on the drop-down menu, which were obvious. For example, the sliding glass doors were not on there but I just had to type a couple of things in and it was no big deal. Other than that, everything was simple.
Everything is good with the Frontpoint system and I'm satisfied with it so far. If people are renting or if they sold their property and looking for a new one, Frontpoint is great because it's very easy to install and very easy to move. They would just grab all their stuff, put it in a box, and then walk away which is nice. It's good for homeowners as well and I would recommend the system.

We were unhappy with our home security system supplier. We switched to Frontpoint and they are better. I like the flexibility of the system because everything is wireless and not wired like the previous system was. Also, Frontpoint's system is more robust so we feel more secure. Their custom service response is very good, too, and when we initially decided on what features we wanted, their reps were very helpful. When we did the installation, it wasn’t that simple but we had lots of help from Frontpoint's reps. But some of the sensors are a little bit too sensitive. Sometimes they go off when we’re out of the house and there is nothing happening to make them go off. Frontpoint's customer service reps tried very hard to fix things but I wonder a little bit about whether the equipment is sturdy. And the stickers on the sensors don’t stick well, so they fall off and we get an alarm notice.
Other than that, the other features of the system are good and we’re happy with that. The system is at the high end, price-wise, and there was a bit of a bait and switch that went on when we first signed up because initially, I thought it was gonna be $39 a month, which is more expensive than what we were paying our previous provider. Then, we were on the smart phone app right from the get go but they suddenly told us that if we wanted to stay on it, it was gonna cost us another $10 and that was sneaky. But overall, Frontpoint has been pretty good. We have the system for three months or so now and I particularly want to see what happens in the winter.

After somebody broke into our house, we decided to get a home security system. I saw some good reviews about Frontpoint online. As of now, Frontpoint is a little bit more expensive than the other security systems, but the service is similar. I reached out to the customer service at Frontpoint to set up the system, but I did the installation myself. The instructions are clear and the customer service helped me configure the sensors. However, some of the glass break sensors are too heavy to be with those Velcro and the glue. So, a couple of them fell off and I had to re-glue them. But now, they are okay. These days, everybody’s going to the smartphone feature. If these features could be available for even $2 per month cost, it would make a difference.

The person who used to live in the house with me had Frontpoint in his name. Although he moved out, I was still paying for the account and I wanted Frontpoint to put it in my name but they wouldn't do so without doing a new contract. I was getting frustrated. I've been calling them and they'd always use the other name on the account. I told them that I should be the primary person there. The reps' demeanor was fine and had to do what they needed to do. It’s just that it wasn’t a simple process. So I had to redo everything to put the account in my name even though the house is my house and I’ve been paying the home security system for five years.
I purchased some cameras and I monitor my mother when I’m not home. I’ll put the volume on and it cuts off. Sometimes, the feed is cut off too before I wanted it to end. The video is so-so and the sound isn’t good 'cause I can’t have a conversation with regards to the camera when the wireless in the house is fine. It's a hassle if I needed to talk to my mother really quick versus calling her because she’s always not good on her phone. I have a brand new Galaxy S9 phone and it shouldn’t be an issue, so I’m not totally thrilled with these cameras. I wish those were better. But the other stuff works okay and I haven’t had any issues as far as the security.

Frontpoint has really good reviews and all the individual types of equipment that I can pick and choose if I wanted. Also, I like the do-it-yourself quick installation so I chose them as a security system for a new home. I had a general idea of what I wanted but I didn't know specifically and their reps were very helpful. They gave me enough information that helped me figure out what I needed versus what I didn't absolutely need. It was nice to be able to pick and choose. And the installation was super easy and very simple. One time, I had a question and I called in. It turned out I had a defective piece of equipment and they sent me another piece which I had a few days later so, it was great.
I use the smartphone features every day and it takes a while to log in sometimes. So, if I get a notification on my phone that says my doorbell camera went off, by the time it falls off, 10 seconds later, the person is already gone. Or if I have a package at my door and the guy presses the button, by the time I'm able to log in and pull it up, there's a long enough delay to where I can't see it live. But I have video footage that I can go back and see. Other than that, having Frontpoint gives me more peace of mind than if I just had dogs barking. It gives me comfort and the the upfront costs were fine. The monthly cost is a little high, though, and there were similar options with a little cheaper monthly payments when I shopped around but overall, I'm very satisfied with the system. I would certainly recommend them to others.

The installation was straightforward once I sat down and understood how it worked. I had no problems at all. I went online and looked at the description. The product presentation and the boxes appeared to be of good quality. The security system is doing what we needed it to do.
We use the smartphone feature all the time which allows us to activate and disarm. It’s usually responsive. Once in a while, we have to wait a little bit but it’s minimal. The cost is very good for the quality and since having the system, I have peace of mind that it’s there and it’s on. If the monthly fee is less, I would be able to save but other than that, people should look at it.

Our experience with Frontpoint was just OK, until it came to canceling service. We were customers for almost 4 years, fulfilled our obligations, and the monitoring of the system was fine. The app worked. Our equipment worked, except for the cameras that were constantly losing connection. I'd have given them 4/5 stars to that point.
The issue became cancellation. BEWARE! I called and spoke to someone on a weekend who, of course, couldn't cancel my service because they were not a "specialist". I did finally speak with the specialist and between waiting on hold and getting an unbelievably hard sell, spent 30 minutes canceling our monitoring. As a courtesy, I forwarded along the information to our realtor so the buyers could use the system.
I proceeded to get another bill and inquired. Evidently my service wasn't canceled and was going to be charged for yet another month. They wanted the cancelation in writing, which was never told to me by phone. So, Frontpoint gets an extra hundred bucks from me for nothing. This is clearly deceptive and by design. There is audio of my initial call somewhere proving that I was never told to submit anything in writing. That's ok. In the interim, I've had 2 families ask about security and spoken with the realtor. I've steered each AWAY from Frontpoint.

I was trying to do it on my phone and then I tried to download it which took me forever. It was a little frustrating there. I finally had to contact customer service and it has worked since. But then, I continued to have an email issue pop up. I keep getting emails if the pool or the front door or the garage door is offline and I get an average of five or six of those emails on any day. Other than that, Frontpoint is pretty good. I haven’t had the alarm go off unexpectedly and the cost is cheap, which is one of the reasons I went with them. I had a home security system which was installed by a bigger supplier that I didn't like. I couldn't tell whether it was actually working. I did some research, looked at SimpliSafe and a couple of other providers and found that Frontpoint had really good customer service. I went with them and I had people helping me with the process of setting their system up. I had a couple of problems that were managed through them. The process was really easy and I never had trouble working with people or getting their reps to answer the phone to help me.
Since the installation, I've found that my system has good features. I like that fact that I can get what I need on my cell phone. That's really important to me 'cause then I can see what's happening and whether or not the system is working. I can activate and deactivate the system with my phone. The app is easy to use and the cell phone features are easy to set up.
However, as I was working with Frontpoint, I found that they weren't big on camera setups and doorbells. I was briefed on why that is the case. While I'm going to get those things on my system eventually, it's not something that's generally monitored. Also, with Frontpoint, the cost is a little stiff on the monitoring. It's probably around the industry standard, but as compared to other monitoring services, it's kind of high. If there is anything that would drive me away from their service, it would be the cost.
Still, I paid for the quality of the customer service. Currently, I can say my wife is a lot more secure 'cause she knows that she can activate the Frontpoint system. She knows it's working when I'm not home. Overall, Frontpoint comes through with flying colors when it comes to customer service. They are attentive to my needs.

I ended up liking Frontpoint based on what I read then the initial sales rep got me setup with everything I needed. All was well with that part and the installation was fine as well. The system's features are also all good except for one really big issue. Frontpoint is lacking two-factor authentication and that's a major drop-off in security. A lot of my accounts have been stolen and hacked, and anything not protected by two-factor is susceptible to being taken.
I’ve had at least two fairly heated phone calls, not that the reps I spoke to were unknowledgeable, but I ended up getting somewhat upset on both instances because of the fact of the matter. In my mind, I was paying for something that was useless. For all I know, hackers can monitor the cameras and come and go as they please since the combination to disarm the alarm is made available right on a website. It’s displayed right there as soon as you get to that page. You don’t know it’s there until you go there and then you see it. At that point, it would be too late. That is goofy.
When you navigate to the page, it should be hidden first of all then if the customer is daring enough, they can decide to reveal it. Frontpoint should at least have that feature. That way, if hackers were only able to monitor your screen, you can just not click on that. That one little addition would be super easy too. Actually, two-factor authentication would probably be super easy to add too. A lot of other companies can do it. So why can’t Frontpoint? It's actually a security company, whereas a lot of these other companies that have it aren’t. They’re just ordinary businesses that care about the security of their customers. I would think security companies would be like the first people to be on board with security features like two-factor.
Brad, we appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback with us. It is feedback, like yours, that truly helps us grow as a company. Thank you again and please let us know if there is anything else we can ever do to assist you moving forward.

The alarm went off while we were away last weekend, and it was nice that Frontpoint called the police. The police came and had a quick look around. It made us feel comfortable that it was nothing. The police didn’t find anything too horrendous when we got back. But the person who left us a message after the police called around was a bit quick and garbled. It was not very clear what the instructions or the follow-up would be. But in general, the actual customer service has been really good and pretty prompt. Communicating with them took a while so I so I reached out on Facebook, and they gave me a call immediately.
However, we ended up calling in and exchanging out our panel 'cause I don’t believe that they did a good job of stating what options there were. The initial conversation that I had with the sales representative was positive, and we didn't waste too much time because I pretty much knew what I needed as far as security goes with my home.
The installation was very straightforward and pretty seamless. It took me all about five minutes to install all three of my sensors on the three doors. I pay 30 bucks a month and the package that I have is pretty bare-bones which is essentially what I'm paying for. A deal breaker for many new customers, as well as existing customers like myself, would be to include app connectability, and remote arming, and those features associated with the Frointpoint app itself with the base package. We both did the installation and I liked the fact that it was easy. The instruction was clear-cut and very easy to understand. It also has good features. When we first got started, I also had a few questions. I called and the online support was great.
The rep walked me through exactly what I needed to do, how I needed to do it and made sure it was working. I didn't know how to get my camera to record and he walked me through it step-by-step and then made sure it was recording before he hung up. I liked that it wasn't, "Okay, here's what you're gonna do. Call us back if you have a problem." He was like, "This is what we're gonna do. Okay, now check and see." It worked and he was like, "Okay. Are you good now?" I like that. However, I would have like to have had additional cameras. We got two cameras and they are expensive.
I like the smartphone features. I can look at my saved video and my husband uses it when he's at work. He keeps an eye on the house, which is nice because we get a lot of packages delivered throughout the week. A lot of times he would call me and say, "Hey, I just saw a delivery man. Package is there." So I can either make sure I'm getting home pretty soon or just know to look for the package when I get home. Since having the system I feel safer. When I'm here by myself and the alarm is set, I sleep better. I have accidentally set it off to where I didn't get it turned off and then I immediately got a call, so I definitely like that. So far, I've been very pleased with Frontpoint.

I was concentrating between ADT and Frontpoint, and I chose Frontpoint for the features, price, and service. Their reps were very professional and the installation went well but they could improve it a little bit as far as some instructions because they have so many features that you could use but there were no details anywhere on how to use those features. It would be great if they could include an instructions manual rather than send us to the website or try to figure it out by ourselves. Other than that, the system features are great and I’m very happy. The main thing we like is the smartphone feature and we definitely feel more comfortable knowing the system is there. Everything is great and I would tell friends to give Frontpoint a call.

I've been extremely satisfied with the quality of my Frontpoint home security system. The equipment is really good and, because of the way my house is set up, I got enough sensors without having to buy extra. I installed it with their help on the phone, and the process was way more simple than I thought it would be. The customer service reps have been amazing too. I had false alarms because I kept going out my back-door downstairs and not realizing it was on, and then they would call me. Also, there were other things that I didn't understand about the system. Someone called me, and I was a little offended at first because he said they needed to work on getting my false alarms taken care of. But in the course of talking to him, I realized that I was misinformed about something, then he walked me through the whole thing and I understood it, and I haven't had a false alarm since.
I also use the app. When my son came in last week and the alarm went off, I was able to take care of everything right from my phone because I wasn't home yet. He got here before I did and he had the old passcode and didn't know the passcode for Frontpoint. My old system was from Vector and my experience with them wasn't good. Also, the system was wired into my home phone, which I didn't like. Switching to Frontpoint ended up being less expensive for me because I didn't have to maintain a home phone.
The only thing is that at some point, I would love to have the thing that shows who's at the front door, now that I don't have my Rottweiler anymore. I'm 56 and this is the first time I've lived alone and not have any dogs to give me a warning in 35 years. Also, the system doesn't seem to give me a lot of time to get in the door because it's upstairs. I have a foot level, so by the time I get upstairs, it's already beeping so fast. So, I have to be prepared to run right in. Though it only happens if I don't have the remote or if it happens to be in my purse and I can't get it out. So, it's not a problem every day. Overall, having the Frontpoint system in my home definitely made me feel more secure.

I had a home security in the past and recently, I decided to get one again mostly because of my dog and that I live alone. I like Frontpoint a lot better than what I had before. I feel like I have more choices and more control over the system because I can set up and change things. Also, everyone has been super great and outgoing. They would stay on the phone until I got whatever I needed. I couldn't believe the first time I called up and was asking questions about it. I was able to talk to a human being right away and they walked me through how the whole process worked.
Then, the installation was really easy. Everything about the instructions was very thorough and I didn't have any issues at all. I like the features of my security system, including the garage door opener remote. But I'd also like if there were other things. I like the smartphone features as well and I use them more than the control panel.
Other than that, the cost has been great. I like the fact that I don't need to have a telephone line because I don't and it is really reasonably priced. And Frontpoint doesn't have a contract. When I sold my house, I was going into an apartment and I ended up there longer than I thought. I was there for three years and I had to pay to get out of my contract with ADT, which I thought was ridiculous because I had them for over two years as it was.
So far, I feel pretty good having Frontpoint because that alarm is loud when I set it off accidentally. But when I had ADT, I felt there was some pressure when I set it off. There was a point there that I didn't even think I knew the password and that is why I like that I can control and set things myself with Frontpoint. Their system has always worked no matter what and now that my son bought a house, I'm thinking about buying him a set up.

Frontpoint has good reviews. I purchased a new home security system for safety, and the installation was easy and self-explanatory. I spent an hour to set everything up. However, I'm concerned about how long they're gonna last because if one of the sticky pads loses its adhesiveness and it falls off in the night, then that's what will make the alarm go off. Additionally, when we set the alarm from the actual unit in the house, it seemed to take a while for it to come through to my phone. It doesn’t instantly sometimes and sometimes it takes five minutes. Still, the service so far is good. They've got an efficient customer service. The unit is very simple, too. Overall, I feel more secure at night having the Frontpoint system. I've also already recommended them to one person.

The house that we moved into had AT&T so the decision was really between Frontpoint and AT&T. Frontpoint was low of the things that run through WiFi. Those include home automation and I was looking for something that included home automation. But I saw reviews online and Frontpoint was ranked highly. Also, the three-year contract might be a little long but the price per month was competitive. The installation was super easy too. The door lock took the longest. Then I had to call back and they had to give me the code to get into that system to program the smart lock. I feel like that's something that a customer can do on their own but it wasn’t a big deal. We have the indoor camera, a smart lock and the touchscreen panel, and everything has been good so far. I’ve felt safe.

We needed to change providers because of the price point. Frontpoint is the same, price point wise, but we were wrapped into a bundle previously. We got out of it so I didn't want to re-enter a new bundle. The gentleman I worked with at Frontpoint did great. He was my initial point of contact and he got me everything I needed. Then I did the installation all by myself. It was very easy and the system is working okay. But I saw pictures of the panel being more of a touchscreen-looking one. I feel like I have an older version-looking one and since it sits on my countertop, I wish it would look a little bit newer and up-to-date. But the overall features of the system are good.
I love the fact that the smartphone feature reminds me, as I drive away from my house, that I forgot to set the system. It dings on my phone and reminds me to set the system. That's one the best things about this security system because I'm constantly forgetting to set the alarm. We live in a safe, great community. But my husband has some PTSD issues so he likes to know that we have a security system. And Frontpoint is doing great. I'd recommend it too.

I needed to purchase a home security system for resell and value of my home. I like that with Frontpoint, I could install the system myself so I chose them. The girl that I initially contacted there was great to work with. She was knowledgeable and polite. She walked me through how all of it would work. I would like it to not cost so much every month though because we’re not in a high-crime area. But if I was in a high-crime area, it would be a good price. Installation was super easy. I have a 3,100 square-foot home and I did it in about 20 minutes.
Frontpoint's system is two-tiered. The tier that we have has the smartphone application feature. We could pay less and not have the smartphone feature but it wouldn’t even be a system worth buying if we didn’t use it. The Frontpoint smartphone feature is the only way to go. If I lay in bed and I didn’t set the alarm, I could get my phone and set it. I could even pull out of the driveway and set it. When the kids come home, they have it on their phones too. It’s a high-quality system compared to any other system. The features offered by Frontpoint are better than some of the other systems that I had looked into. What I like the best is the glass break feature as opposed to window sensors. I had a one in my home in Denver and everybody in my neighborhood had systems and they had a lot more stuff going on in there with their system like weather reporting but it gets excessive. Mine just reads across the screen which is fine.

Frontpoint is a home security system for the homeowner that wants to self-install and not get hung up with a big monitoring installation service that is gonna tear up the walls to install it. I've had Frontpoint security going on for seven years now. I just moved to a new house and bought a new system for it. I expanded the system in the new place to include a couple of cameras and some smoke detectors as well. The installation was good although I called them to get some help and they came through. It took me 3 hours to setup the whole system. Their customer service is really good. They're very knowledgeable and patient to walk me through difficult setup instructions without just reciting a checklist. They should keep doing what they're doing and not change the customer service. I'd also recommend them to friends. I'm very happy with the system and it's a good one for the price.

We had an incident nearby that got us in the mindset of purchasing a home security system. I did some research online and looked at the reviews of insurance providers. Frontpoint had everything that we wanted, so we went with them. I’ve interacted with their sales team as well as with their customer service department, and both were phenomenal. The reps weren’t pushy with sales and they allowed me to pick from the available options. They let the customer choose, as opposed to a lot of other places that tell the customer what to choose. We installed the security system ourselves and the installation was very easy. Besides, even if we had any difficulties, there were the instructions that we could look up.
The features that are offered with our system are nice, but we didn’t get a touchscreen feature on our system and it may be too late for that. We just got the push button feature. I use the smartphone features, which are nice and convenient, and I like these a lot. The cost of the Frontpoint system is worth it. It’s convenient and not outrageous, and it’s cheaper than other monitoring systems that I found with the same features. We definitely feel safe since having the Frontpoint system in our home. I would tell people to get it, and to look at the options and see what is best for them.

Frontpoint somehow got my phone number and they got a hold of me. I like what they had to say and I got their security system. The interactions I've had with their representatives have always been professional, polite, and knowledgeable. The installation was easy and it took half hour just because we taped all the things to the windows. The features of the system are good and everything we've got seems to be working for what we need. We also utilize the smartphone features and we get the notifications. We can look and check to see if the door has been opened. The cost is not too bad too. Having Frontpoint in our home is a nice little added extra security. It lets us know if the door or any of the windows have been messed with. I recommended them to my parents and I would recommend them to anybody else who'd ask me.

I had a break-in so that prompted me to purchase a home security system. I had an alarm system before but obviously, with the break-in that we had, that older alarm system was terrible because it was not getting monitored. Since the Frontpoint system is being monitored, if something happens and the alarms go off in the house, at least I would be notified immediately, so I’m a little more relaxed.
The installation process was straightforward, but I could not do the installation because there were some hiccups, so I had to make a call to Frontpoint and get these fixed. There were a few glitches like the user error, but these were easily answered by the time I made the call to the reps. Overall, the system is okay, but one of the drawbacks that I found with Frontpoint was that if I needed to figure out the various features, like if I wanted to delay the time duration from the time I arm the alarm to the time I close the door, I didn’t know how to do that and where to go to get that information. So, certain information is hard to get unless I make a call and go through the verification process, and get that thing addressed.
The features that are offered in my system are the standard features and there's nothing exceptional or different about them. The standard thing would be to have a video camera or a doorbell camera, but having those features would raise the price. They charge $10 extra for getting those features, so for the amount of time that I use the system, it’s not worth it. But if we could get those features for what I’m paying, that would be great. There’s somebody at the home all the time, so I don't use the smartphone features and I just use the regular features.
I’ve had a few interactions with the reps and these have been friendly. When my smoke alarm went off, I got an immediate call from the team that was checking on our system. As for the cost, I’m getting what I’m paying for, although it’s not like I’m getting a bargain. Still and all, I’m good with the Frontpoint system and I would surely suggest them, considering the price bracket that they're in.

I was leaving out of state for a month and I wanted something to have a peace of mind while I was out. And I didn't really feel safe in the house without a home alarm, so I decided to get one. Before I got Frontpoint, I've never had a home security system besides some cameras, gate locks, metal doors, some dogs, and a 45. Then my neighbor told me about Frontpoint a while back and he seems real happy with it. He does his research a lot and he is into computers and gadgets. So, I knew if he has Frontpoint, they were good.
When I was getting set up, Frontpoint's rep was helping me out. The only thing is, after I signed and we agreed on everything, I tried to get a hold of him in two different occasions and he wouldn't email or call me back. It seemed like after he got me to sign, he really didn't care no more. But that was the only bad experience I had.
The installation was very easy and it took me about 30 minutes or so. You didn't have to do any drilling and the directions were every easy to follow. I just had to call in because I have a little dog on the inside and I wasn't sure if the sensors had to be at a certain height without the dog triggering them. And as far as the home alarm is concerned, I armed it one time and when I came in, I forgot to disarm it. I noticed 50 minutes later that I didn't disarm it and I never received a call from Frontpoint to notify me that somebody went in the house.
I also wish that the panel wasn't as thick as it is. It is kind of old school and as far modernizing, I know that Frontpoint has an upgrade package, but I know some of the other companies already offer a touchscreen or something a little better than the basic home alarm that Frontpoint offers. So I would look into making their equipment look a lot nicer. I use the smartphone features a lot as well and I haven't even really touched the panel. I only use it at nighttime when I'm gonna arm the house. I double tap it then hit the silent. That way, it doesn't keep beeping because it'll beep for a while and I don't why. Other than that, the cost is good, reasonable, and fair. Since having Frontpoint, I feel a lot safer when I leave and I arm the house. Plus, I don't have to be checking the cameras every hour or every two hours to make sure everything is fine. All in all, I'm pretty happy.

We bought a house and needed a home security system. I called Frontpoint and asked some questions. There was another company that we wanted to go with because their control panel was better. However, their contract required a commitment of three years and there were other things I didn’t like about it. I liked the Frontpoint reviews online and the ease of setting it up. The DIY setup is quite easy and you just put it on the window. I don’t want to waste time waiting for a technician to come in, and then have that included as a free service when you can just easily do it yourself.
I followed the directions at the app and installed the sensors myself. The tape was quite weak so it fell off a lot and I had to get my own double-sided tape, which I wish was different. I like that I can control the security system on my phone. I wish that they were as sophisticated as the control panel, but it does the job. The service was adequate and I’m satisfied with Frontpoint which is a solid security company. I like their price point and that they don’t have a ton of things that they offer to make it more expensive.

I had read stuff online about Frontpoint, the pros and the cons, the reviews, the pricing and the easy installation. It was the combination of everything that made me choose Frontpoint. I had a couple of issues in getting signals with the installation for the windows but a representative fixed that right away. We went right through the installation and it went perfectly. But about two weeks ago, the system started alarming like crazy all of a sudden. I punched in my code to secure it but it wouldn’t secure. I punched it again but it still wouldn’t secure. Frontpoint called me and I told them there was nothing wrong. There was a fire signal and a garage door open signal. But I was in my living room and there was no fire. And my garage door had been open all day. We were sitting there and we had not touched a thing. We had not changed anything in the system since day one of installation.
Three different Frontpoint people had called and we went through every single code known on the whole feature, even to the phone and the apps. Finally, after about 10 minutes, the code worked. The third guy was the one who actually got the system secured. He said, “Let me try something else.” Then he went, “Now, try your code.” I tried my code and it stopped. He was extremely good. But that also meant Frontpoint had two people who were pretty much worthless for me as we were going deaf.
I asked them what was going on but they said there was nothing wrong with the system. Things of that nature are controlled though. It doesn’t happen by itself. The system has good quality. It hasn’t done that since and I haven't had any issues with it since. Something definitely activated that incident. I also think the people at Frontpoint did something to make the code work later. There may have been some kind of reset button. A little bit later after the incident, I was also thinking how the cops never called or showed up. That's another issue but it was too late. I was already off the phone with Frontpoint.
But there were a couple of times that we forgot to turn the system off when we got home and the cops showed up. The only issue with that was that they showed up 15 minutes after the fact. I don’t know if it was a combination of how quickly the phone call went to the people and how quickly the police actually responded. I know that where I live, they’re probably not real responsive. But a thief could have come in, helped themselves, loaded up their car, talked to the neighbors and been on their way by the time the cops got here. So that was disappointing. The people at Frontpoint are very responsive though. When I had a little issue with the garage, they called me within one minute or less. I forgot to turn the system off and they were all over it.

They answered the phone in a matter of seconds and answered my questions forthrightly. Every type of vendor out there selling their service got horrible customer service, but Frontpoint's reps were great from the first impression. The installation of the system was straightforward, but I wish they gave me a little bit more of the motion sensors.
I'm limited because of the space of my house but had I known what they'd negotiate, I would've asked for more although it would definitely be an additional cost. I'm in Canada so they are a bit of a premium compared to local companies and I also got kicked with the foreign exchange so it would have been nice to have that all included in one. I bought the doorbell camera from them, which I had to up my service so I incurred more cost. I also got the camera, but I bought it only because it was a promotion that came to me. I moved from an apartment into a house and I picked Frontpoint because when I get relocated to DC I can take it with me. I like the fact that I can move it around because it’s not hard-wired into the house. That was the main selling point. Also, I read online reviews and Frontpoint has the highest reviews and the price range that I wanted. I set-up the system myself and it was easy. The installation was very cut and dried. I ended up miscounting and just had to add an extra window thing so I called in and their reps helped me.
My only complaint is that the panel is a very bright blue so it’s in the living room. Nonetheless, I like the features a lot. I arm and disarm the system through the smartphone app from my cellphone which is very user-friendly. I travel a lot and I did get a notification that there was a power outage, but then it notified me that it came back on within an hour so I didn’t feel like anything went down. My daughter is crippled due to medical errors and she gets educated at home. She's old enough that she doesn’t need a babysitter but we wanted a security system so that if we left her alone at home and anybody would try to break in, we'd immediately be notified. We built a safe room for her that she can go to, that is very hard to get access to and has the security console in there. So, if someone started to break in, she would go in the safe room, close it up and hit the police button. It's incredibly unlikely that something like that would happen in our neighborhood. But when it's my kid, I don’t want to take any chances.
Frontpoint is one of those top ten security systems. I read two or three lists in which Frontpoint was always highly rated. Sales was excellent. The team did a good job of answering our questions and getting the contracts to us in a timely manner. They let us know about sales that were coming up so I could tell they weren’t gouging me. We were lucky to get things on sale, so the price of the system was perfectly reasonable and I was fine with it. We have a small house, so installation was very easy and just took about 30 minutes. When we come home, it's easy to walk where the console is and disarm the console. We have sensors to detect when things are opening and break motion sensors, but we don’t activate the motion sensors when my daughter is home.
One time, my wife accidentally activated the motion sensors and the alarm went off. It stayed off for three seconds to a minute and then Frontpoint called us. So we're very satisfied with the sensors. They do what they're supposed to do and they don’t just start going off for no reason. But if Frontpoint wants to do something fun, they can start doing some of their sensors in different colors. Also, I wonder if I should do a test, like I would let the alarm go for 15 or 20 seconds and see if they have not become complacent and actually follow up.
Frontpoint is good for our needs and with their system in our home, I don’t worry as much about my daughter being home alone, which is very important. We may have discontinue using Frontpoint, however. Our daughter is gonna have surgery to regain her mobility and get better again, so we may not need Frontpoint anymore. We live in a good neighborhood anyway and we don’t have to worry about people breaking our house. I left my car unlocked many times and I've never had a problem.

We moved to a new area that I wasn't familiar with. My husband works a lot of late nights and travels a lot, and I wanted to be aware if somebody was breaking into the house. My husband read a lot of consumer reports and reviews and really liked the reviews on Frontpoint. Also, he didn't like the people that were installing the alarms for the other companies. I called Frontpoint about the initial install and did the installation myself. It went really smooth and the system was really easy to install. There are features for everything that I would need and the quality of the system is good. I really like the tablet that has the emergency button. I have that in my room because I like that if someone were to break in, I could just hit that. I like having that option.
The app is fine and I use it to turn the system off and on, although I wish it had a panic button on it versus having to call 911 from my phone and then having to listen to an operator and talk to them while something was happening. The other day, I left the house and I set off the alarm without realizing it. It had gone for 20 minutes and Frontpoint had to dispatch the police, but they never showed up. It wasn't Frontpoint's fault, it was the cops'. Nonetheless, my experience with Frontpoint has been good.

The night before I was making a purchase on a different system, I decided to start researching a little more. I got online and Frontpoint’s name came up in the top 10 and then the top 5. Their reps seem knowledgeable and I saved a lot of money on the material upfront. They also got their product to me quickly and the installation was simple. They were on the phone with me while I set it up and it took us about a half hour. There was nothing to it. After that, we tripped the alarm several times before we got used to it and they were on the spot about contacting us.

I have a cabin and when I'm there, I'm off the grid. I was looking for a cellular based home security system and looked into about half a dozen companies. Since Frontpoint is cellular-based, I went with them. The account set up was pretty straightforward. We talked about my needs and the different options for sensors and motion detectors. Then we settled on what I thought I needed and they mailed the equipment to me. The instructions were very easy and I was able to install the system myself. They also got me through the installation. The features I got were the same as advertised and I was able to customize them as well. Their app works good, too.
Other than that, their price is competitive and their customer service reps have been good about calling back and answering questions and defining them. I'm impressed with the way they handled things. On the other hand, the motion sensor keeps sensing movement even though there is none, so I keep getting false alarms. I need to get out there and figure out what the dealers think it is. We’re gonna run a test on it this week, so we can find out if the motion detector is in a bad location. Also, I wish they didn’t have a contract, but most of the home security providers do that. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with Frontpoint.

I used to have ADT but I didn’t like their service. I searched online for high-quality and low-cost security system and found Frontpoint and a couple of companies listed. I talked with the representatives and thought that I felt best about Frontpoint. The installation was easy although I got on the phone with a rep to help me walk through the instructions. I also asked for help when my board was not working right when it got set up. I was on the phone twice with the reps and they worked hard to help me. They sent out a new battery and walked me through how to replace it. I got to pick what I really needed instead of too much or too little so I felt good about the customization. It was a good deal and I’m happy with it. I have Frontpoint for fire protection and when I had burnt food in the oven, it set off the detector. Their guys gave me a call right away. Frontpoint's service is so much better than ADT's.

I recently purchased a house and thought that a home security system might be a decent preventative investment. I went with Frontpoint and their sales agent was knowledgeable about the system they had. At the time, I already had a few smart home devices in my home and I called them to make sure that Frontpoint's system, the controller and hardware pieces that they were offering were compatible with the stuff that I already had. The system setup was quick and easy. It took a couple seconds to set up the pieces of equipment and turn on the system. However, I was a little upset because the system that I signed up for was not the system that I got. When I looked at it online, it was a touch screen system canned with this specific package that I ordered but when I got my system, it was the oldest model that they had.
I contacted them about the discrepancy and they said sorry and offered a discounted rate on the updated plan that I need to utilize the full functionality of the smart home features. So, I decided to upgrade my plan, but I didn’t upgrade my panels. They said that once the plan is upgraded, it would allow me to add the smart home devices. Also, if I wanted to upgrade the panel to get what I thought I was originally be getting, that would be an additional charge on top of the upgraded plan.
Right now, my system is more or less just an alarm to what it is since I already have the smart home hub. I got tons of integration pieces so all my other smart home pieces are integrated through my smart home hub. However, it would be nice if there was a better integration with the smart home features and better opportunities to automate some of the processes. Also, the discounted rate of Frontpoint’s cost was all right but at its original price, I would have canceled it a while ago. That aside, Frontpoint is convenient and a simple low-cost security system with minimal features.

We had just moved and decided to get a home security system. I have used Vivint years ago, but this is the first time in eight years since getting another home security. My wife and I did our web research and we found that Frontpoint was one of the top ones. I liked the idea that I could set the system up myself and not have to get someone in here to set it all up for me. Also, the system is all wireless.
The sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He knew what we needed for what I was telling him. He pointed me in directions of questions he couldn't answer as well and made sure that I got answers. The installation was very quick and self-explanatory. There was one issue with one of the devices that came in, but I called Frontpoint up and they sent the device, which came in the next day. It was a quick response on that.
The display is a little dated, but that's for the base model. I would like to have a smartphone type of display thrown in for a new customer. But I had to pay extra to go up to that type of display. We really wanted that, but not at the upgrade that they were wanting. So our system is like any other system. It is 2018, and I would've expected a bit more on the main display panel. But as far as the door, window and glass breaks, those have been around for a while. Frontpoint is just utilizing it in a more of a Bluetooth type wireless capability.
Everything is out there that I would've wanted in a security system. I knew what my monthly budget was gonna be, and I wasn't able to do some of the features that we probably will upgrade to in the next year. Also, the smartphone feature is easy to use. Everything is well-explained and it's not like a lot of sub-menus so even my mother can do it. I encourage other people to do their own shopping but I would definitely recommend Frontpoint to them.

Frontpoint was rated in the top five security systems when my business partner went to do his research. We looked at the pricing and they were affordable, so we decided to go with them. Everybody at Frontpoint has been friendly and everything has been prompt. We live in Alaska, so it takes a little for stuff to get here, but anytime they have mailed us stuff, it has gotten here quickly and everybody has been as helpful as they can be. We installed the system ourselves and the instructions were fine. However, the app doesn't really work the greatest when it comes to the installs for us and we can't complete any sensor add-ons without calling them. That's the biggest problem for us.
It was a bare-bones deal and we just customized it to what we need In the nature of what we're doing, it was hard for us to predict what we were gonna need, so the fact that we can keep buying sensors and adding where we need them and see fit has been pretty helpful. Also, I like the cellular feature because it's in the back of our facility, so if they find out, it's gonna send a signal either way. Everything was just fine. However, with the door and window sensors, the plastic doesn't seem very durable on that stuff and seems kinda cheaply made. We've had a problem with one sensor and they are sending us a new one. It could've been faulty from the beginning, but that's the only trouble we've had with the sensors. The cost is fairly priced. Since having Frontpoint, we all feel better about it and that we are protected. I recommend Frontpoint to other people.

We wanted to have peace of mind at home then someone I worked with told me that they were happy with the service of Frontpoint so I figured that was a good review I could ask for. Dealing with their sales team was easy. The most complicated thing I had was setting up the cameras so they walked me through that over the phone and I was able to do it by myself. We are using the mobile app to turn the system on and off when we leave but I would recommend adding the key fob feature which we had with our last security system. Nevertheless, I like the smartphone feature. It is good and I can see saved recordings and they can change how the cameras record from the mobile.
Frontpoint’s cost is in line with its quality. We are paying about $50 a month fee now and with the extra features with the mobile app, I’m getting a little more for the money. Since having the system, I feel more secure and better when it is just my family at home and I’m at work. They definitely would know if anybody is lurking around the house. We got two cameras and they said I could have up to four. So check into Frontpoint. It’s been a good system to us.

She explained the system and broke it down, price-wise. I didn't know anything about the system at first but she helped us out a lot in understanding it. The installation also went well but the sticky things on the back of the window sensors don't really stick too well. The tape comes off every once in a while. But that aside, the quality of the system is all right. It works really good.

I had a home break in and I decided to get a home security system. I had an old alarm system that hadn't been hooked up for about 20 years, so it was nonfunctional. Frontpoint seemed to be highly-rated, so based on reviews, I chose them. Their sales team did a bit of high pressure selling but they were not obnoxious. It was easy to get the system set up and the installation went very well. I had to call at one point because for some reason, I couldn't get the windows break sensors on. But technical support was extremely responsive and they were able to walk me through that process and get the system going.
The overall features in my system are not too bad. At that time, I was really bummed they didn't have a video doorbell but now that they offer one, I'm still bummed because there is no wiring out on my porch where the doorbell is. I ended up adding a Ring doorbell with a battery on it because Frontpoint didn't offer anything equivalent, so at the moment, I'm running two different systems that don't talk to each other. I also use Frontpoint's smart phone feature to arm and disarm the house. In fact, I use my smart phone more than I use the pad.
I am still antsy about the home invasion that I had in April and with the security doors that I had to install and everything else, there are times that I feel like I'm in a fortress, which kinda sucks. I'm still nervous when I have to leave town but I'm slowly getting over it. Frontpoint added a little security. But it would be nice if I could incorporate the Ring doorbell into the Frontpoint system so I have a completely comprehensive system. And I wish Frontpoint would offer one that had a battery. A lot of my friends have similar older homes, so it would also be nice if Frontpoint had a complete offering of everything. But other than that, I'm pleased with Frontpoint and if you're looking for a do-it-yourself system, theirs is a good system to go with. I'm paying $59 monthly and I hope that is all it is.

The neighbor who moved across the road from us was banned from local stores and at flea markets. We were nervous. He since moved but he knows where we live and it’s bizarre. For example, whenever I would go to work he would drive down the driveway while my husband was home. I think he was driving down the driveway to see if anybody was home, which prompted the purchase. I looked at Frontpoint carefully. Also, several years ago, I was thinking about getting a security system in general, and a friend mentioned Frontpoint. When I was looking at the evaluations and comparisons online, I felt comfortable with them. Moreover, I didn’t want some of the very big names because I thought they would be overpriced.
I thought the installation was gonna be an hour, but it was not that difficult. The person walked me through it quickly. Once I understood what I was doing, it wasn’t bad at all. Almost all of my interactions with their reps were good except for one. The alarm was going off all the time, to the point that I hardly used the system. Plus, the neighbor had moved away, so I was lax. I knew the alarm was in the dining room but I didn’t know how to figure out exactly which one it was. The system just said there was an alarm in the dining room.
I then called Frontpoint. I thought the space on the dining room door was the problem and the guy who answered the phone agreed and didn’t check more. I redid the sticker. I glued a piece of wood and then I glued the little unit to that to bring it closer together. I went through quite a bit and the unit was still going off. One day, I took the time and I called again. Lo and behold, it was the glass sensor that was off and as soon as the second guy walked me through on how to take apart the cover and fix the glass sensor, I haven’t had a problem since. That first guy didn’t know what he was doing. Generally though, Frontpoint's people can solve my problem, which is helpful.
The equipment seems to be working although it doesn’t look like it’s the most modern or up to date. The other day, I wasn’t sure if I did something so I like the feature where I could check the system on my phone. However, I was not able to install that on my husband’s phone because it’s older. The house sits in the middle of the field and our nearest neighbor would never even hear us scream. I like knowing that the home is secured, especially if we go away. I also like the feature where I can have my neighbor check on the house. We have a neighbor that watches the house when we’re gone and we set up a code for him. He could come in and out and look at everything. I’m satisfied with the cost, but we would have liked it cheaper. I would recommend Frontpoint.

I called some place in Pennsylvania that is in the business of buying small hometown security systems and keeping them up, but they couldn’t repair my old system. So, I called Frontpoint.
The Frontpoint reps have been very helpful. I had a little trouble understanding how to activate the system to "stay" in the house. I have a workshop which I wanted a detection in and at the same time, I wanted motion detector in the house. They said they could fix that. So, they got where the motion detector works in the shop and in the house when I’m there. I know it works because a few weeks ago, I was going somewhere and I had my alarm on and I put something in the workshop. I opened the door and I hadn’t stepped in when I got a phone call wanting to know my password. So, I’m very happy with the system. We had ADT before but after going through our bills each month, I realized we could find something cheaper. I started reading some reviews and learned that Frontpoint was the best one for our money. They were definitely quite a bit cheaper than ADT. Plus with some of the other do-it-yourself systems, you gotta pay quite a bit upfront to get all of the equipment. Then there's a lot of pricing in that due to heavy marketing. Whereas with Frontpoint, I had never heard of them before so I'm happy with it.
I dealt with just one person at Frontpoint and they knew everything that I needed. They must have had all my information logged so that if I needed to call back, I could talk to the same person. She was a real human being too. In fact, all of Frontpoint’s people were. They were very down-to-earth and the interaction wasn’t hyper-rehearsed. I also had the opportunity to do a lot of extra stuff with the system but we have a simple house and the system we got suits our needs.
The key fobs are gimmicky though. If you’re right outside the front, you can use the key fob but you never know if the system’s on or off. You just have to hope that the key fob worked. But if I had an app, it would be easier to log on and turn the system on or off. It’s less hardware too. But Frontpoint charges extra for the app. If I had the choice, I would not get the key fobs. The app should be free and the key fob should be extra. Nonetheless, I'd recommend Frontpoint for the price and the ease of installation. We were told exactly how to do the installation and it was a lot easier than having somebody come in to our house who would then know all about our home security.

And when I did call in for support, their reps helped me set up the rest of the equipment. Also, the app is great. I like to use that versus using the pad itself. I talked to a guy about the features offered and then we decided about it.
I did the installation myself and it was fairly easy. When my door opens in the morning, I have 30 seconds before the alarm goes off, so it puzzles me that if some people break in the house, they would have 30 seconds before the alarm goes off. It's nice when it's an accident, but when it's not, it's freaky. Also, it doesn’t seem like lime green is a very good color for a security system. It's a fashion color and it's kinda silly, but that's a minimal issue. Other than that, I feel safer having a security system than not having one. All security system companies' cost seems high to me, but if I need it, it's cheap. I would recommend Frontpoint to others.

I got the basic package and I did the installation myself. It was simple and the instructions were very well-written. I have seven entry points that I have covered, and I also got the glass shatter monitor. I can't use the motion detector though, and that's fine. I have dogs and they'll eat anybody alive. I don't even have the system on that often, except when I decide to go out and the dogs remain in the house. Still, I'll set up the smart phone feature.
I'm satisfied with Frontpoint. The quality of the equipment itself seems to be good. However, what I didn't realize until it was too late was that I was gonna pay more per month than some of the other major surcharges. So I just went with it for two years. The cost is a tad high for what you get as far as the service, but that's all right. Three or four dollars a month adds up though after two years. But I'm a bit smarter now, so I'd tell anyone who asks me about Frontpoint to negotiate its monthly price on monitoring system.

That aside, the only issue we have is the quality of their equipment. It is below average and the sensors are very cheap. I had a security system from ADT and I switched to something that was a bit more convenient. I got tired of ADT's pricing as well. Frontpoint's reviews were good. I called them and got a quote a few years ago, but I found out that my ADT was extended. I called back once it was out and ended up purchasing them. Their reps went over everything with me with what I had and I told them what I was looking for and we chose the one that fit my budget. The installation, for the most part, was great. I had some issues getting two doors to work as the door sensors would not calibrate. I've eventually gotten it to work. It seemed like one of them took 20 minutes before it would recognize it. I eventually came back the next day and they all worked fine.
The quality of Frontpoint's equipment is great. It is overpriced if you're not buying it initially but they give you a nice discount when you sign up at the beginning. Also, I was potentially adding more, but I felt like the pricing is a bit high to add additional equipment. If I want to add an additional sensor to my basement, I noticed that they were quite expensive. I also thought I was getting the touchscreen pad and I ended up with the old 90’s looking keypad. It's an ugly one sitting on my counter. I mostly use the smartphone features to check the cameras. However, if you move a camera, it takes a while for it to reconnect, but that could also just be my Wi-Fi, either way. Other than that, the features of the system have been overall great. I've had a good experience and I would tell others to try Frontpoint. They have a 30-day free trial which is definitely worth trying.

At first, the installation was a little hard. I had a little issue with the door thing but it wasn’t a big deal and eventually, I got it right. Everything was pretty easy to install and the app made it easy. I love everything about the system. I have the app on my phone, so when I forget to lock the door, I can lock it through my phone. We set up something where if I go a certain range away from the house, it will notify me to arm the system which is helpful. I wanna get one more door sensor for my sliding door in the back and I also need a camera for the basement. Also, their customer service was on time when I forgot to turn it off and sometimes, when I'm home and I forget, they call right away.
So far, I'm happy with Frontpoint and people should consider it based on their needs. I'm satisfied with the cost and it's convenient. I can access the system from my smartphone although I still have to find out where to place the central monitor. So far, it works. When one of the sensors broke and it alarmed when nobody was home, I had the Frontpoint's team text the police and the sheriff came to my house. It turned out everything was okay and they replaced the sensor. However, you have to put the sensors in a more strategic place because it's heat-sensored. My house is tiny and the sensors cover a wide range. They should have a sensor for smaller homes and the camera should be part of their standard package. If you're away and there's an alarm, you wanna know who's inside. Instead, I would have to ask my neighbor to know if it's a false alarm. If my neighbor is not there, I wonder what's gonna happen.

I wanted some security and went with Frontpoint after finding through a Google research that they were the top rated one. I did the installation myself and it was easy. However, I don't like my system as well as I like my daughter's. I wish I would have gone with hers. I got a wire hanging down that is plugged into the wall. Hers was mounted into the wall. It got a base-screwed touchscreen while mine is a push-button.
Also, Frontpoint sent me an email not too long ago about the doorbell thing and it seems like it's a hassle. The price was $100, which wasn't a big deal, but then they want to up my service for another $5 a month. I was thinking, "Dude, my daughter just had cameras and stuff installed in her house and she's paying $10 less a month than I am." Granted it's a different company and it might be the difference between the hardwired versus the wireless, but I'm locked into a contract for three years so I can't get out of it unless I pay a ton of money upfront. So even though I'm not that dissatisfied with the service and people have not been too bad to talk to, I wouldn't recommend Frontpoint to anybody.

Having a home security system made me feel a little more secure. The people that we’re renting from were using Frontpoint and I liked it so we continued the service. The interactions with their reps have all been good. I never left a call unfulfilled and everyone’s been great so far. We had to put up our own window sensors and hook everything up with the main hub. I called them several times to walk me through stuff and they were great. The instructions that were in the packaging were good and the features offered to us are great.
We decided to see how the non-smartphone was first and if we felt that we needed the smartphone thing, then we would add that on, but we don’t seem to need it. Some other systems are a bit more expensive. We don’t have all the bells and whistles, but for what we need and what we pay, we got a really good deal. Since having Frontpoint, I feel better sleeping. I would recommend Frontpoint to others. Every single time I’ve interacted with them, it has been great.

I have an office at my home and I wanted to have a security system there. I read reviews online and everybody really spoke highly about Frontpoint's customer service, so I went with them. The initial guy was great but we had a misunderstanding about what my garage door was, so he had the wrong sensor sent. But I called and they took care of that for me right away. I installed the system myself and in hindsight, it would have been nice to have somebody come in and do the installation, but it was certainly easy enough to do it myself and their reps were helpful. I utilized phone support for installation. I called in to get help because I didn't understand that we could turn these things and they could be within a certain range of being near each other. I learned all of that on the phone. I had them walk me through some of that and make sure the system was working. Their customer service lived up to my expectations based on the reviews I've read.
I'm happy with the overall features offered in our system. The cost is very fair, too, it is a good value. Since having Frontpoint in our home, we have had a much more secure feeling. We even get notified when there is smoke and because our house was hit by lightning before, we're all on edge about things with the house, so I like that feature a lot. Unfortunately, my oven makes a lot of smoke sometimes and I have three 20 something kids. But Frontpoint is very responsive and very diligent about calling when something is going on and that is good. I'm very satisfied and pleased with Frontpoint and I would recommend it to anybody. I would also tell my friends that they should look into it seriously and that it is a great program. I'm happy I went with them.

I’m a single mom and I got a home security system for a single-family home. Frontpoint is cellular-based and their sales guy was good. The customer service folks have been good as well. I did the installation myself and the instructions were easy to follow. However, I wish there was a way that I could manipulate one feature versus the other, like I don’t want my motion to work downstairs versus the one upstairs at certain times because I have motion downstairs with a person. I wanna be able to do that and I can’t figure out the ability to do that from my app, so that’s frustrating. Also, I already had Nest Security cameras and I wish I could tie those cameras into Frontpoint because Nest has security that’s cellular-based with the cameras I’ve already purchased. But overall, having Frontpoint feels better.

Frontpoint had good reviews and I liked that their system is wireless. The reps were professional. We had a problem with one of the sensors that was malfunctioning but they helped me walk through it and I was able to fix it eventually. The features are nice, convenient and the smartphone app works well. Everything sticks on the wall very well. However, the system accidentally went off once. It fell off the wall and scared itself. The main part of the system is perfectly fine and I feel better about my sense of security. Plus, the cost was fair.

There is nothing better than having security for your home. I have owned ADT before but Frontpoint is great because I own the equipment and I don't have to pay a monthly equipment rental fee so I liked it. They also gave good credit discount to people with good credit. Installing the system too was easy. I did it quickly and everything was self-explanatory. In addition, my wife and I use the smartphone features. It's very easy and convenient. The package is decent. I just wish Frontpoint gave a discount for people that wanted to upgrade but for the most part it's fine. The system works out.

I was looking for the added security of having a security system and doing some additional home automation. I was also looking for something that would allow us me to install the system ourselves, do some customization, and not get locked into a longer contract as with ADT, so we went with Frontpoint. I like them a lot better than our previous home security service providers. They have great customer service and that also was one of the reasons that we picked them. Their reps have always been knowledgeable and professional. The salesperson I spoke with when we first bought the system was helpful. Plus, each time that I’ve called in for support, they’ve been able to resolve any concerns that I had. The installation was easy and took me 15 minutes.
The features that are offered in our system are great, but the front panel that they use is six years old now. I’d like to have a more up-to-date panel, but there are no options to use a newer panel from the same supplier that they use, Qolsys. Generally, the smartphone features are really good, but we’ve had a couple of quirks where the access thing was not showing up. Customer service was able to reset things on their end, though, so that the system does what it’s supposed to do. But other than that, the price was great. It's what I would expect and it's not too expensive.

My property is secured with a gate and I live in a safe area but I wanna be precautious. I spoke to the Frontpoint customer service representative and she explained to me all the features with their system and everything that I would get. I became interested and considered it. Dealing with their reps was very smooth and pleasant. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The price is pretty fair too and I’m happy with it. I did the installation myself. The instructions were straightforward but I had one question, so I made a call and I was able to resolve it very quickly.
I would like to see a better panel though. The one that I have is old or outdated. It would be nice to have a touchscreen panel. But since having Frontpoint, I feel more secure. It detects any type of activity. I have one camera next to the motion sensor and there was one time where I was moving the camera around through the app and the motion sensor went off, so it's definitely working. The app is also straightforward. It alerts me whenever there's an issue.

We were able to work through what the requirements were, and it came quickly. The installation process was very straightforward. But when I set up the phone app, it doesn't say that they sent an email so I don't really know what happened. I had good interactions with the reps. Originally, they gave me a quote, but I was not sure. I was still pricing and checking things out and deciding if I wanted one. Then they called back to check.
The installation was pretty easy. The instructions were good. They're color-coded and everything was well-organized. And I like that the Frontpoint system is pretty intuitive and mobile. I don’t have to go to the actual controller every time I need to arm and disarm. The system works fine for what I use it for, just arming and disarming. They said there are features where I can arm certain sensors and disarm others, but I haven’t really explored those options yet. I would recommend Frontpoint.

Purchasing a home security system was something that my wife and I were considering and after about a year or so, we decided that it's something that we needed to invest in. We have young children at the house and I have to travel away for work. We looked at the reviews online and experiences for security companies for about seven months and I talked to some of our family and friends on the companies that they use. Somebody always had a bad experience or they didn't have too many positive things to say with their current provider. So, we went online to look who else was out there and Frontpoint was recommended. They popped up and they were consistently within the top three, so that helped us make a decision.
The interactions I had with the Frontpoint sales team was easy. I told them what I was looking for and the rep was not trying to oversell me on any products. He mentioned that I was looking at a lot more products than what I needed and he recommended me to go with lesser equipment to help save me some money, which was pretty nice on his end. But after doing my research, it's really what I wanted. I was adamant about what exactly I wanted and I was fine with spending a bit more to get a bit more product.
There were some videos online to make myself familiar with the instructions for the installation and it was easy to read. However, there were a couple of the sensors that they had changed, so they didn't appear to be the same as what the instructions showed. I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly, so I called in to their customer service and they walked me through it to make the installation a lot easier. There was a sensor that wasn't reading and even though I was just having trouble with one of the sensors, they offered to stay on the phone and walked me through the whole entire process, which, at that time, I didn't feel like I really needed. However, it was nice to know that they were looking out for me. They helped troubleshoot the sensor over the phone and even offered to send a replacement, with no questions asked. So, all in all, it was a pretty good experience.
The overall features that are offered in our system are really good. Even from what the other security companies offer, what Frontpoint offers is right up there with everyone else, if not better. Their smartphone features are really easy to use. We've even shown our 10-year-old son how to use it himself in case he needs to use it. Also, as far as the features that they have for each individual plan and tier, it's competitive with everyone else.
Now that we have the security system, it definitely helps to sleep throughout the night a little more comfortable and my wife feels safer when I am away. Frontpoint is a really good company to take care of the customer, and that's what I was really looking for. All in all, the reason I decided to go with Frontpoint is based off with the customer experience -- the customer service that they stand by and the family's safety that they are thinking about. I definitely would recommend them to any family or friends. We had some people over and they had seen my sign up with Frontpoint. They asked me why I decided to go with them and I told them everything positive with the customer service and the ease of setting everything up.

We were starting a family and we needed something to protect the home. I researched and liked how Frontpoint allowed us to set the system up by ourselves. We explained to the sales rep the layout of our house and the proximity of where I would place some of the sensors and he helped me identify what I needed and what would work. His explanations of the use of a motion sensor versus a regular sensor made sense. He also did a good job explaining what stands out between Frontpoint and other companies. We are happy with our selections and it was a fair price for what we purchased.
The installation was easy and the instructions were clear. It took me 30 minutes to set up everything. The equipment is of good quality and it works. Since we’ve had Frontpoint, it gives us peace of mind that we will be safe. It is easy to use on the app interface and we can do it from the ease of our phone which makes it a lot easier. If we forget to set it in the morning, we can set it when we are at work and if we are upstairs, we can set it and we don't have to walk to the unit that controls everything. So far, it is a good system.

I got Frontpoint's home security system in my new home. Prior to this, I had Guardian and my house came pre-wired with their security system. Some family friends recommended not going with Frontpoint but I decided not to listen to them. Within a month of being enrolled, though, I completely regretted my decision. I got the standard package and Frontpoint's motion detectors did not catch movement that was more than 5 feet out from them. On the other hand, Guardian's motion detectors caught way farther action.
Frontpoint is one of those companies that you call many times and they keep saying that they’ll follow up with you in a few business days, but no one ever calls you back and it’s up to you to keep going on and on with whatever issues you have. No issues were ever resolved. I still have the Guardian security system for my business and I pay them $5 more a month, but I’m getting way more than $5 worth of service. Hands down, Guardian is 100 times better. Their customer service is impeccable and they have ownership of issues and don’t just push the blame on their consumers. But with Frontpoint, it’s not justified how much they charge versus what their service is.
We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback with us. We are glad to see that you were recently able to speak with one of our Account Supervisors. I did a Google search on customer reviews for the best one and Frontpoint kept popping up even though they weren’t popping up as a Google ad. The reps are also always very cordial. I got the basic alarm system and the cameras. I wish I had motion sensors but because my dog is so big, it wouldn’t work. The installation went well except one of the things was not working when they sent it to me. But they got me a new one without me having to return it first. They sent it out really fast too. Now, everything works like it's supposed to and I use the smartphone features all the time. In fact, that’s how I use my system. If I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to make it out of the house in time, I could just go, sit in my car and arm the system while I’m driving to work. For what the system does, it is well-worth the price.

I like Frontpoint's do-it-yourself installation over paying for somebody else to come in and do it. I saved some money there because I had the know-how to set it up. Plus the reviews on the customer satisfaction and the customer service they provide were better. I was satisfied with the customer service I received from their sales representative over the phone. However, we had a miscommunication about the control panel. I originally thought I was receiving the touch-screen, but I received the standard one. I called back and they gave me a free upgrade to the touch panel. They were out of it at the time, but I have since received it. Frontpoint seems to have everything together from the sales point. The installation was easy. I had some questions about it and called and they were on top of that.
I would like to see more cameras in the future though. They offered good cameras but not a ton of options. Their cameras were more middle of the road and they really need more top-of-the-line ones. Plus, the cameras they offered were more expensive than if I went with a four-camera system from Best Buy. The features are great though. I like that you have control of the system on the phone. You can control the cameras and the lights remotely. The equipment was par with the other top security systems out there. I’m a believer of, “You get what you pay for," as far as quality. Although I’m paying more for the security system than I would necessarily like, I also know that I’m getting one of the best out there. I know that it’s gonna work and be of high quality so I’m willing to pay more.

I moved into a house and wanted to have a security system. I talked to a bunch of people about what they used and I also looked online. Frontpoint seemed to be one of the best systems so then I talked to them about what they offer, their pricing, how installation went and what kind of monitoring they provided. The reps have very good knowledge of their products. But they sell things in packages, so if a client wants to customize it exactly the way they want Frontpoint might lack that feature. Still it is a great system. The cost is totally reasonable given its quality. Also I was concerned about whether I would be able to install it, and it wasn't a problem at all. I did it myself and it was really easy. It took me 10 minutes.
I've had a fire alarm go off once and they called me right away. It was my contractor who was actually doing something and because there had been construction, the Frontpoint team walked me through cleaning all of the sensors to make sure it was as sensitive as it was supposed to be and that they were working properly. Everyone was great but I had nothing but problems with some of the stuff I got. I had all the motion detectors replaced already but they're still malfunctioning. Also, they weren’t really easy to install and I couldn’t use the app. I had to call and talk to somebody and every time I’ve gotten the motion detectors replaced, there was a little piece of paper that said I should go to the app and click set up which didn’t work, too. I had to call somebody to get things put in right.
Frontpoint would help me install it, but it still wouldn’t work. So I would have to call them back again. They said it was still picking up the old sensor so they would go ahead and delete that which they should have done the first time. But I haven't been very good in setting up the Frontpoint system. I don't like the beeping thing and that's my biggest complaint. It would be nice to figure out how to manage that because every time I set the alarm and whenever I open the door, the alarm beeps and then it beeps again in a minute, and that scares and freaks out my dogs and tends to wake people up. If somebody comes in at 2:00 in the morning and the alarm is beeping, it wakes the dogs up and they get frantic. Also, I should call them and get rid of the smartphone features because we never use them.
