There were a couple break-ins in the neighborhood so we decided to get a security system. Frontpoint has a more modern system so we went with them. Their reps were very good. I got exactly what I wanted, I installed the system myself and it was self-explanatory. It was a great experience. So far, I'm happy with Frontpoint. The equipment is doing good.

I had ADT before, but I like Frontpoint better. The quality for the cost is good. It’s also more user-friendly online and has a better user experience. Also, the interactions I've had with their reps have gone very well. They're nice and helpful. I did the installation of the system and it was easy. I had to call customer service one time, but other than that, installing was fine. I picked a standard package and the quality of the equipment has been great. I use the smartphone features and it has been very convenient to be able to lock the system online.

I bought a house and I was moving outside of my apartment for the first time so I purchased a home security system. A friend of mine had Frontpoint and the company also offered us a discount on our purchase. Once I got the voucher to get the system, I called them up and talked through everything on the phone. They sent me the system that I asked for and then I installed it. It was very easy for me to do. There were a couple of times when putting on the door sensors that we had to make sure it was working. But otherwise, it was intuitive. They also called a few times to see how the installment was going and then they've had to call a couple of times when the alarm went off.

The system is very sensitive and it works very quickly. I definitely feel safer especially if I'm home alone. It's just me and my son and it's nice to know that if anything happens, there's a motion detector. Sometimes my cats would activate it but it won't stay activated. It would just beep because the cats walked across but hearing how sensitive it is makes me know that if anyone tries to get into the house or open the window, it would be picked up. The system is also very easy to use. I liked the fact that you can disable or enable it from the app or the key fob. The cost is fair too and the features I have are what I wanted. The system covers all the basics and it is all that I wanted from a security system.

I'm a military man so I'm not home a lot. But my wife is at home so having a home security system is a peace of mind for me. I looked up online the Top 10 home security systems, and Frontpoint was number one on the list. I also talked to ADT and Frontpoint was a little bit cheaper. Plus, I like the fact that somebody from Frontpoint didn't have to come into my home to survey or set up the system. Because with ADT, they have to come in and drill. Then the overall installation was fairly simple and the instructions were clear. The only thing that I had an issue with was the motion sensor. It wouldn't really go off if one walked in front of it so I swapped that out for a glass break sensor. And the quality seemed just fine for what it needed to do.

The Frontpoint people were very helpful too. For a while, we were getting weird notifications like power line fail, but we didn't have any of those issues. So I talked to a technical guy and he seemed to fix it and we haven't had any issues since. Moreover, the cost of service is fair. Obviously, everybody wants everything cheaper. But for the ability to set and arm with my phone and monitor with my phone, it's a reasonable price. I would recommend Frontpoint.

We compared Frontpoint with a couple of other companies and it was the one that was most fitting for what we wanted within a good price range. We liked a set package which we customized for the number of doors we had at our house. One time, we called Frontpoint when we had questions about setting everything up. Their reps talked us through any issues that we came across. However, we got motion detectors which we never used because we found out that our dog sets them off. Still, everything has been wonderful so far and the system has been great.

I got a home security system for safety and so far, everyone at Frontpoint has been good and very helpful. The installation was very simple and I liked its features. Only, I wish that it wasn’t something that I had to sit on my counter but something that I could mount to the wall and hardwire. Other than that, everything else was great and I have no reason to change anything. The cost was good and I didn’t have any problem with it. It's a good system, easy to deal with and I would recommend Frontpoint to a friend.

We did research and read reviews, and Frontpoint seemed to be the best one for us. I contacted them when I initially ordered the system and when I was setting it up, and the service was good. The installation was easy too. The instructions were good and there were YouTube videos. Our package includes glass-breaks, a camera, the doors sensors and the doorbell one, and the quality seems good. The application on the phone seems user-friendly as well. It is good because you can always check on to the camera and everything can be controlled from your phone if you're away.

Their sales team has been very good, responsive, and thorough and the installation of our system was easy. I still need to spend some time on a few things on the system but the features that I have on it are good. Also, their smartphone app feature is very good and I like it a lot. The only thing is Frontpoint has a very long contractual arrangement for the monitoring and it is a little bit pricier. So make sure that you want to be with them for three years.

I used to have ADT and then I was living in an apartment. We heard it was an easier installation with Frontpoint and it seems like it's easier but it’s not that cheap. Also, it wasn't very secure and the sensors fell on my windows. They sent me new ones but that was one thing that never happened with ADT. That's a little bit of a concern because if it happened when I wasn’t home, then the alarm would have went off. Other than that, everything has been okay so far. Every time I call there, they're there and their reps were nice. They offer pretty much a good deal. But I would like to see somebody professional to check on things.

We purchased the Frontpoint system for security. We live in the city where it's a little wooded and there are not too many houses. My husband installed the system himself and he had no issues with it. Frontpoint's customer service was always prompt and they have resolved most of my issues as well. There was one time that the motion sensor was triggered off by the wind. I had been called where I was away from the house and said there was a burglary alarm. We had the police over and made sure everything was okay and I just found out to be a false alarm. The motion sensor didn't come labeled so it was tough trying to figure out what triggered it. Also, the rep didn't know better because he wasn't there with me, trying to figure it out with us. Eventually, we figured it out.

The quality of the system is okay but I wish Frontpoint could give us a lower deal. Even so, everything is great. We still do everything that we do, make sure all the doors are locked and all the windows are closed when we're out and when we're sleeping. We're still very security-conscious. We haven't become lax because of Frontpoint, but we're a little bit more at ease that we have something in there.

We got robbed so we have a home security system and our previous one was similar to Frontpoint but cheaper. There were too many problems with them and I finally got tired of screwing around and changing batteries and every other thing, so I switched to Frontpoint. We have two systems and during installation, we called them both times and they led us through it. The cameras are gonna become more common and I want to see people get with cameras but it seems to be a little bit of a problem right now.

Then I thought it was clear that we were gonna be able to turn off our system remotely for the price that they gave me. It happened for several months but now, all of a sudden, they're saying, "No, you can't do that remotely. You have to pay $10 extra to do it." They cut us off and that didn't make me too happy. I don't like being lied to. And while the overall cost is standard, we're paying too much for monthly monitoring. So, I'm definitely gonna check around for somebody else when my two-year contract is up. And we got a dog now, so we can't use the system as much as we'd like.

Frontpoint was more reasonably priced versus other home security providers, especially with the amount of experiment I was looking for. But there were quite a few times that their sales guys were not very friendly. Some of them were quite arrogant and I sometimes had to fight to get discounts commonly available on the internet. They would say they couldn’t do it and would check with their supervisor, and they would come back and give exactly what I asked for, which was a waste of time. It is annoying. Then the installation was a complete pain on the backside. It’s not really as easy as they make it out to be. I kept calling them as I kept installing stuff and I also had to change panels.

I’ve had the Frontpoint system for almost eight months now and I still have some sensors that are not working. They keep going offline every three hours and coming back online and sometimes the sensors are just simply not working. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with it, especially at night. I just bypass the sensors and go to sleep. Also, if you leave it connected, there's no gap when the door is closed and the sensors are essentially touching each other, and it stills shows open. So I have to rejigger it all the time to make sure it’s closed before I turn on the system. The equipment lacks some of the modern types of sensors like shock sensors, which others have started to do already. And the look of the sensor is old, funky and not aesthetically-pleasing, and I've had to deal with so many issues. It has not been the best experience. And if I were to do it again, I would not go with them.

Compared to my previous home security provider, Frontpoint has been very good price-wise. I've never had cameras with the other company and that's the difference. Frontpoint wanted to offer me a camera to sign up at a cheaper rate. I called my previous provider six times about it and gave them a chance to lower their price but they couldn't do that anymore. Conversely, Frontpoint called me more than a hundred times to switch and they went down as low as $14. Also, Frontpoint impressed me as their reps always worked me through the procedure on whatever issues I had. I had an issue one time with the internet which was not strong enough. I had AT&T at the time and it was full strength to the outside camera. With the change to the other company, I didn't have that problem anymore.

Still, I wish Frontpoint had somebody who would come out to do the installation. The process is not easy steps as instructed. It is technical and we're not professional. That is a database job and I wish there was somebody to do that. With the other security system provider, I could always call and they send somebody out to do the technical part of it. With Frontpoint, they do everything on the phone and I don't even know what I'm looking at. But then, I have to do everything for myself.

Despite these issues, I like my Frontpoint system because it's unique. I have a camera and the system and I'm using the phone to work on all of that. With my phone, I can lock, unlock and see what's going on in my house. I've never had that with other carriers. However, now Frontpoint is going to change the price and I don't want it to go any higher than where I am now. Nevertheless, I've told other people about the system.

My vehicle was stolen, and all of my information was in it. I went with Frontpoint for a home security system because it is not attached to our phone, and I am able to cut the phone wire and disconnect the system. The rep we dealt with was very informative and helpful, and they gave us a discount because we had a burglary or a theft. We were also trying to get a system quickly. The installation was easy and it came in a mail. I had a couple of questions, but I was able to call the 800 number. Also, the customer service representative was able to walk me through the issues that we were having.

Right now, however, we need some more batteries. We have small issues with it. And because the device is not mounted, sometimes that can be an issue because it has to be plugged into the wall. And since we have a toddler, he wants the cool things out of the wall. It's not toddler-friendly. The smartphone feature, on the other hand, works well, so I'm able to set it when I'm not home or disarm to let someone enter the home. I know our painter came once and it was armed. I was able to disarm it from my location, so I like that part.

We have a dog also, so he's our first defense. He's always barking. But I felt like Frontpoint was something good to have just because it keeps us abreast of things that may be going on in the basement, and we're not always down in the basement to know that something may be unlocked or ajar. So, I appreciate that part too. Also, mainly our door is unlocked, and we will be gone and will not know that the door is open, so that part makes me feel a little secure.

We got a security system for an insurance discount as well as to be able to keep an eye on our home and hallway. My initial contact at Frontpoint asked me about my needs and what I was looking to get out of the system. When they shipped a package to me, that was a little unpleasant. They need to get good on some of the things that are mistaken in the beginning. but still, I was happy overall with their process.

The installation also went pretty well. They sent everything in a box and I followed the detailed instructions. Also, their customer service is just amazing and second to none. They were proactive to make sure the system is up and running. Since having it, I've really enjoyed all the features offered. Still, one of the features that I wish they had was a way to dim the light on the panel. I find that the light is too bright. Nevertheless, the app is very interactive and I've found that I've been using the alarm a lot more than I've had in the past. It's right there on my phone and I can turn it off to let an air-conditioner guy in during the day. It also lets me know the status of the alarm system and the temperature around the house. It’s been really essential to me and my wife.

As a whole, I think the functionality of the system is excellent. It allows me to do the things I need to do and get on with my day. It allows me to have an alarm and not be too technically minded. Frontpoint shines with their customer service and I've recommended them to a friend. I’m home alone a lot at night and we live in a secluded area. I saw really good reviews of Frontpoint online. I called them and I’ve made all my decisions and purchases in one phone call. The installation took an hour or two to put the motion detectors and the sensors up. And my fiancé didn’t seem to have any trouble with it. The equipment works sometimes and I think other times it’s not as sensitive as it should be. I’ve walked down my whole house with the motion detectors, with the alarms without realizing it and it didn’t go off until I walked in front of two motion detectors. And it had gone off in the middle of the night once and then early one morning, so we thought somebody was in the garage but there was nothing there. They just went off.

A couple of times that we’ve set it off I’ve gotten a phone call but other times I assume we just turned off the alarm too quickly to actually get a call. But their response was good. There's always somebody there that keeps calling and checking on us. We’re pretty satisfied with Frontpoint. I had the option to get more of the window sensors. I probably should’ve done that, but I think we can make do with what we have.

We love our Frontpoint security system. I travel some, so I wanted to make sure that when I was on the road, there was an additional level of protection for my family at the house. Also, when all of us are out of the house, I wanted to have an additional local protection for our assets. We had iSmartAlarm in our previous house where it was a do-it-yourself system and no online monitoring. It was nice since I had a one-time charge for purchasing the equipment and no monthly fees after that. The downside was that it relied on me to monitor and get any notifications if something was wrong. The house that we moved into had ADT and when I called them, their cost was a little bit higher. I knew I wanted to go to something else that is professionally monitored.

I contacted Frontpoint and I expressed an interest in the system. They were very prompt in replying back and they provided quotations, but we weren't ready to make a decision on it. The sales individual sent me a follow-up email every day or two for the next week and a half or so after that. Also, when I've called their customer service with minor questions about how to do something on the system, they've been quick on the turnaround times, I wasn't on hold for extended periods of time and I've been able to get the questions resolved. So, I've been satisfied with the customer service. In addition, I liked the number of different pieces of equipment that I could get from them and have them professionally monitored. Plus, the cost was a little bit better than ADT.

I've got a number of Frontpoint's devices like the contact sensors for doors and windows, the cameras, and the doorbell sensor as well. All of them were easy to install, the installation was straightforward and it didn't take long at all. I've got some smart outlets too that I can use to plug lights or other things into and then, I can control the timings from the app. But there was one device that I could only set up and make changes through a web browser on a computer and not through the app. It wasn't difficult to do that, but it was odd that 90% of it could be done through the app which was a breeze. In addition, there was one specific thing I could only do on the browser, so there was a lot of time digging around the app trying to find it and then when I called them, they said I gotta do it on a web browser.

After I registered with them, I got a notification saying I needed to check with my local city and make sure that any registrations are permanent that are required by the city need to be taken care of. That wasn't something that I had expected on the front end, but it turned out to not be a very big deal. It's a $25 per year fee from the city.

Cost-wise, the monitoring side of things is not a cheap service, but it's not the most expensive either, so the cost is on the higher-end of reasonable. Other than that, everything that I got met my expectations. I wanted something that monitored the entryway and the doorbell because we order a lot of packages. I also wanted that we'd be able to see who knocks at the door late at night or what was going out there without having to go to the front door. I wanted some cameras that could look around the main spaces in the house, contact sensors on some of the main entryways and smart outlet things. Everything I've purchased has performed as expected.

I have enjoyed the security system when we were out. It tells me that the front doorbell has rung and I can check and see who's leaving the packages. I feel better when we're out knowing that it's on. If you are looking for a security system, you need to start by evaluating what level of system that you're looking for. Are you looking for something that has professional monitoring? Are you looking for something that you're installing the equipment yourself? And then based on narrowing that down, then you've maybe got three or four companies that will offer what it is that you're looking for. And then, from there, if you're in that middle category of wanting a blend of professional monitoring and do-it-yourself installation, I'd recommend Frontpoint. Overall, I've been very pleased with them.

We're fairly new into the house that we're in and I was looking at various home security systems. I work in the security industry for the government at this point so I wanna make sure that the family is taken care of when I'm not home, especially when we're here at night. I got on the phone and talked to some of the representatives for some of the other companies and I didn’t like them as far as contracts go and how their systems operate if somebody wants to cut the power. I looked at Frontpont reviews and I liked what the reviews had to say. I also liked the idea of being able to set it up myself since I've set up systems before versus having to have somebody come over to the house to set it up for me, which is something I already knew. So, I ended up going with them.

When I got on the phone with the individual from Frontpoint, they explained what would be available, but I had already known because I've done some research online. The difference between the representatives from Frontpoint versus some of the other places was they weren't necessarily trying to push some of the equipment down my throat. They were looking to what my needs were and then taking into account that I do have expertise in it as a security professional. So we were working hand in hand versus someone trying to contradict just about everything I was saying, which I did experience in some other companies.

I had one issue though. One of the glass break sensors was not wired into a landline and every once in a while in the app, I'd get a malfunction notification, but that was resolved. The quality seems to be very good. We have a couple sliding doors so if it was left open to let the air in, I'd get the notifications, which is good for my peace mind when I'm at work and family is at home. It gives me an idea of what's going on and their response is quick. It's a very good equipment and the cost is able to stay low primarily because you can install it yourself if you are so inclined to do so with very minimal assistance. I also like the fact that there's not a lot of unsightly wiring involved. At some point in time, I'd like to go with cameras on the outside when the pricing is right.

So far, I've already recommended Frontpoint to several individuals that I work with and they also like the idea that you can install something yourself. I would definitely tell others the ease of installing the system if they really want to try it on their own or they have somebody on the other line that could run them through the process. Also, if you wanna get something, there's certainly somebody there to help you out and recommend pieces for you. And if the code doesn’t get put in in a period of time, there's definitely someone who'd get in touch with you and that definitely adds peace of mind.

We just a bought a brand new house and my wife feels safer with a home security system. I did a google search and Frontpoint came out number one in several of the websites that I looked at. I did the installation myself and the instructions were was detailed to the T. Their team is there 24/7 to answer any questions and guide you through it, but you don’t even need it. All the things that they provide are so accurate and easy to understand that anyone can do it. Also, Frontpoint's team is very professional and quick. As soon as the alarm goes off, if it takes more than 30 seconds they’ll give you a call right away. They’re very pleasant and very good with feedback.

The doorbell is hooked up with an app on the phone so you can actually track it away from the house. They also have some other things like a door lock that works with the Wi-Fi so they can lock the door of your house. I don’t have that feature, but they do offer that if you want to. We have a doorbell camera and at first, the equipment was not capturing the Wi-Fi correctly because of the distance. I did purchase a Wi-Fi extender, but still it’s not operating as it should be. Frontpoint said they’ll go ahead and pass it along to their technical team. I told them yesterday that I was gonna buy a ring doorbell camera and the Arlo Pro 2 for the outside of the house. And hopefully in the future they’ll be able to do something with the equipment so they can be compatible. It’s compatible with a few equipments out but there’s so many that it will be crazy to try to be compatible with every single thing out there. But that would be nice.

I wish it would be a little more updated with regards to their hard drive. They only use the 2.4-gig and they should be able to pick more than 5-gig nowadays. But I’m happy that it works. I have a pretty big house so it’s still sustainable. Frontpoint should keep up the good work and hopefully they’ll continue to listen to the customers and make the system more up-to-date.

I was in the market for a home security system and Frontpoint was one of the not-too-pricey systems around. They have good reviews. During the sales, somebody went through the options with me and helped me see what I wanted. It was great. Then, during the installation, I got a lot of help. They walked me through it. I got the wrong panel so the guy that I spoke with was able to help me fix the problem. However I wish the price could be lower for the equipment. I wanted to get more sensors for my windows because I have a ton of them but the price wouldn't let me. But I'd recommend Frontpoint.

We got a home security system for our business to make sure it's secured. We had a security alarm but it was old-school, like ADT style, and were very expensive. On the other hand, Frontpoint's cost was pretty good. They also had the best reviews and their reps were all positive and weren't pushy. The installation went good as well. It took me less than an hour to install the motion and a couple of door senors because I'd rather do it myself than spend a gang of money on having a technician to do it. Their smartphone features are fine but I don't do too much on it besides checking the status and turning the system off or on. Most of the time, I do it manually through the console. But overall, everything's working out as I need or want it to be.

I like the fact there was certainty with Frontpoint and I didn't have to do anything. The rep that I talked to initially gave me some good advice, as far as which sensors I should or should not get or what most people typically do. That way, I didn't have to spend a fortune, like, "Oh, I gotta get 20 sensors for every single window and whatever." Then, they sent me a package and I was able to do it on my own time.

The installation was easy. I saw where it told me to go online to set it up and that was pretty intuitive. But I didn't understand, even though it's self-explanatory, the 'no delay entry'. So on the app, one day, I went and opened the door and it just started screaming at me and I had no idea. But that was the only time we've ever tried it. I could've just Google searched it, which I've done. Besides that, I like the overall system and I like the fact that I can build on it. Also, I have an Arlo camera outside, one on each entrance. So I feel safe with my wife and baby.

They wouldn't cancel the service. They just wanna keep throwing offers like a free month and, eventually, you just get off the phone. It was not a good interaction with their rep.

When we go on vacations, it feels better and safer to have a security system in place so we purchased one. I called a few security system providers and I was comparing them online. Then, I called Frontpoint and got information about their system and what they offer. They had really good reviews, their pricing was right, and they had an app that made everything easier. Also, I didn't feel that they were too pushy. They let me call them back when I felt I had done insufficient research, kind of "If you wanted, you can call us back. That’s absolutely fine.”

The installation of the system was easy and pretty simple. We did it ourselves. I just followed the directions in the box and I didn't have to call anybody. I'm happy about that. And the features are good. We didn't get several options of different tiers and we didn't feel like we needed a three-camera so, it felt that the tier we went with was kind of in between. We got the app which is really helpful and if we forget to take care of our system now, I can just do it from anywhere. And I like that you can check on it, including the history and if you have a sensor on the door, you can see when it has been opened, closed, and when it was last active. Also, the cost is pretty good and it's comparable to the other places I researched with $5 for the app which was worth it. Having Frontpoint gives a more relaxed feeling. At night when we're sleeping, we don't have to worry about someone sneaking in.

Although I had a couple of unique doors that I got them all different hardware. The standard sensors do not mount to the type of door I have so I sent a couple back and got a couple of different ones. It was pretty cool. Also, I have a home security system in my second home and I got it for my peace of mind. I like Frontpoint’s system. The system’s features that I have met what I need and what I was looking for. Everything is good with Frontpoint. I have a rental property and I wanted to be able to monitor it from afar. And it was Frontpoint's monthly cost which attracted me, as well as the upfront cost as far as getting extra sensors. Installing it myself was another big point too. In fact, it was very simple to install. It took me an hour to do it. And, if I needed anything, I'd reach out to the guy on the phone and he walks me through parts. It was good. So far, I love its features. The biggest thing is being able to monitor it, as well as alarm it and un-alarm it from afar. I have cleaners that go in on a Sunday afternoon to clean. I just leave the alarm off during the weekend and when the cleaners are done, I turn the alarm on using the app until the next guest comes.

Other than that, I had a couple of false alarms with some birds flying by a window with the motion detector. And if the system goes off, within minutes, a rep calls me. I also have a camera set up there and I can look around and make sure no one entered the door or the driveway. Overall, Frontpoint's quality is the best by far and I would recommend it highly without a doubt. I just monitor the main doors. And then, I got motions in two floors and another main room. So, if someone comes through a window, they're gonna click a motion. It worked out well.

We have two business locations and we have Frontpoint on both. And we’ve been really happy with Frontpoint. We’re a small company and Rebecca, our IT person, has Frontpoint in her house so she decided to do it for the business. I interacted with Frontpoint's sales team when I was signing up for the second location. We got set up within a few hours. And the sales rep was organized, sent me tracking information and walked me through what to expect through the process of getting the equipment, and then told me what to do once I got the equipment. I installed the system, and I struggled a little bit with the security camera which was the last step, but I called the customer service and they were able to walk me through it. Everything else was really easy.

The equipment's quality is high. And it seems to work really well. Sometimes, we’ll find that the system got locked at 6:30. And then my co-worker, Rebecca, will get a message notification so she can lock it remotely which is nice. I need to set the smartphone features up on my phone but for the other location, I’m able to manually lock and unlock for my phone which is neat. We’ve had a few glitches but their customer service is phenomenal. The wait times are really short which is huge considering that we’re a small business so we all wear many hats. And also, Frontpoint has friendly staff. There was one-time where we had to reset the security system hub and they were gonna send us a new one if it was defective immediately. But they were able to walk me through the issue. I would recommend Frontpoint. The price is reasonable and customer service is really solid.

The sales rep emailed me and told me that Frontpoint was a great system. I had a whole bunch of products purchased but the installation was bad because I had to install everything myself. I knew that the system was a self-install but they told me it was very simple. It's not as simple as people think though. The door locks and door automation were not that easy to do. The other companies would have been a lot better. To this day, I call Frontpoint once a month about something going wrong with the system.

Although the quality of the equipment is not bad. Frontpoint uses a third-party alarm company and I looked up their products and that was what a lot of people use. Frontpoint signed me up for a three-year agreement and the cost is not bad. But you can get most of the products yourself and get a basic security system. However, there was a little issue initially. The smoke sensor was also needed but was not provided at first. I had a call and their reps understood my problem and it was taken into care. Still, they should provide more sensors.

Also, I wanted to see if someone is actually doing monitoring or not, so we did a couple of tests and the call came in within a couple of seconds. I tried the trial version of the smartphone features and I liked it, but since it adds $10 to what I’m paying them now, I opted not. But still, the feature was good. However, the cost of my package is $24 and it’s the same kind of package provided by other vendors who are charging $19 per month. So, Frontpoint should do something to stretch down the cost.

I always do a lot of research on anything that I buy. I did an Internet search and saw what other consumers were saying about Frontpoint. I looked at the different lists of one of the many things that Frontpoint does, the top 10 of anything and this company comes up either number one, two or three. I saw the ease of the products that they offer and that I could see what I was getting. They were very upfront whereas everybody else was hiding what comes in their package. Also, the other companies wanted me to talk to a person before I could select what it was that I was pretty much looking for and I didn't like that.

After selecting Frontpoint, interacting with their reps was pleasurable. Their people seemed well informed and have a general concern about what's going on with my stuff. Additionally, instead of selling through the company, the representative told me that I don't have to buy specific pieces of equipment from them. For instance, if I wanted an extra camera they referred me to a cheaper option. A lot of people won't do that and would insist that I buy through their company. Still, they said they would help set up any equipment I get through Frontpoint.

The only thing I ran into that I wasn't offered was the premium version of the alarm system. I feel it should have been offered though I don't feel like I can afford it. I was thinking I was getting the premium panel but then I got a big ugly, chunky, useless panel in. It was a deal breaker because my wife and I weren't happy with the way it looked inside our home. So, I called Frontpoint and they gave me an extra two months to try the system out. Still, when I talked to their reps, they weren't pushy with it. They told me they could send the premium panel out and I could just pay the difference. They went above and beyond and I got exactly what I wanted.

Also, I liked how quickly the stuff shipped and how easy it was to set up. Installation of the equipment was also very simple. I'm pretty technical and I had no problem with it. But then, when I first put the sensors, I didn't mount it just right. I went to try and tape the thing off but then it pulled the paint off of my door. Fortunately, the sensor had some extra strips that came with it which I could put on another part of the sensor. Since, then, the sensors have been holding up and there have been few malfunctions other than whenever my mother comes in and forgets to hold the button down. I also liked how seamlessly it integrates into my cell phone and how easy it is to control the system.

However, the key fob needs to be improved because I can't tell if it sends out a signal or not. When I come up to the door, and press and hold it, I can't tell if there's a signal because I can't hear inside of my home. I can't tell whether the alarm is disarmed or not until I open the door. If it's on, that means that all the sensors and alarms would go off right away especially if I have it set with no delay. Sometimes, I have to be really close and it would work depending on the wall or network congestion or if there's a lot of WiFi or Bluetooth. So, I get a lot of false alarms. Still, the key fob with my wife seems to work because she pulls into the garage. Despite these issues, I like where I can control and then go and open the door, and then I have a little alarm and a little geo-fence which is pretty cool.

Another thing I didn't like at first was the three-year commitment. At the end of it all, I didn't feel so bad about it since I'm committed to something good versus something that I got pushed into. I liked how Frontpoint let me select and see how good their product is and now I know I've made a sound decision. Since getting the system, it has been good for me and I use it daily. My wife and I work all the time and we don't have any children in our home. She lives home alone at times and when she's there by herself, I wanted to give her a better sense of security. I'm ex-military and I provide my own security but then if people are going to take something, they will take it. Still, if I have have some video footage of a person who comes into my home then it makes the police's job a whole lot easier. It's cool to be able to look through my house and make sure everything's okay.

Additionally, I've automated my whole house. I bought all of these Nest equipment, such as a thermostat that's integrated into the system. I like how there's a snowball effect with my product that allows me how to maximize the expandability of it. It's good that Frontpoint works well with other companies like Nest, Ecobee and other things that I can integrate into their system. I'm a straight shooter and anybody would know that I don't just give out recommendations. Still, I want to give Frontpoint the accolades it deserves from my customer experience. I've gone to Best Buy and they have some of the little displays that are flimsy and don't seem very well built. Conversely, the sensors and stuff I have are rock solid and I can tell something of quality. I've been recommending this system to all of my friends. I've been more than pleased.

The installation was all pretty straightforward and the Frontpoint’s customer service reps were really helpful with it and any follow-up questions. They'll also do tests to make sure that all the door and window alerts are all registered.

If it didn't work through the wireless network though, everything would drop and then automatically re-affiliated with the wireless network which was a bit disappointing. Also the system’s features are fine but I would like to have the option of adding more cameras outside and inside and not have it be a closed system so that I can decide if I wanted to have another brand. There should be a similar standard that can be used whether with a Frontpoint camera or something else. Besides that, everything has been really good. The system does what it does. We had moved into our home and a friend of mine who got Frontpoint recommended it. I've used multiple companies before and the other companies were a little better as far as the quality of the equipment and the process in addressing issues and being able to have somebody come in and fix something when something goes wrong. I've had a couple of issues and the first one was around the sensor picking up our dog. We picked a specific set of equipment because Frontpoint told us it will not be impacted by the dog and when we first called to ask about the system, the rep asked what size my dog is. I walked the rep through how he's only 16 pounds and the rep said that as long as he's under 40 pounds, he won't impact the system. And so, I installed everything the way I was supposed to.

On the third or fourth week that we had it, my dog set the alarm off. And when I called them back, I had to go back home to my house and sit there for a couple of hours and have them troubleshoot everything. Eventually, what the rep told me was that my dog was setting the system off and it's not guaranteed that he's not gonna set it off. It was a bit deceptive for them to tell me that in order to make a sale and lock me into a contract, and then tell me now that it doesn't work the same way. It was aggravating.

Also in the past, I've had the equipment malfunction, where they can't figure it out. It required me to go home and sit there for an hour on the phone and troubleshoot things with them as opposed to sending somebody over to fix it. One of the door sensors stopped working and they couldn't figure out what was going on. So, they eventually sent me new ones, but I had to reset them. But at the end of the day, they could not tell me what was wrong with that sensor, so it was a little concerning because it made it look like a door was open when it was not. I've never had the equipment not work the way that Frontpoint has not worked with the other companies that I've had. Now, I don't have a lot of faith that if we're out on vacation that the equipment's gonna work the way it should.

The installation of the system was very easy and the instructions were very clear. And I like their smartphone feature a lot. It's very practical. I usually arm and disarm the system that way most of the time. I feel more comfortable having Frontpoint's system. I lived a couple of months without it and I definitely find it worth the money.

However, I would have liked to have the ability to create my own custom instead of "stay or away", so that I could have specific sensors turned on and specific ones turned off. I have a two-storey home and so during night time I would like to be able to turn on my motion sensors for the first floor, but leave them turned off for the second floor. That way, if somebody were to break in through a window and it happens to be one that doesn’t have a sensor yet, because I have 40 windows in my house, then they would trip the motion sensor.

I got a security system because of the option available and the ability to be able to pay on my own and with the way I wanted. I found Frontpoint's customer support very nice, especially the initial person I spoke with. She actually contributed to my decision to buy Frontpoint's system. She was very informative and patient. Frontpoint has also been helpful whenever I had questions, whether it be about the items or the technical stuff. I have three different equipment. And I started installing the first one on my own. However, somewhere along the way, my sensors were mixed up. I called the customer service and they were able to sort that one out for me. They took me through the installation of the rest of the sensors one by one. Then, for the second one, I did almost everything on my own. But I had a little issue with the third one because it has a lock switch. I could not add on to the system. But then they let me know that.

After doing all the tests, they told me my panel was probably wrong. They fixed that out and now I'm waiting for it. With Frontpoint, I like the ability to be able to go into the system and manage the stuff I need online such as the camera recording and the activity monitoring. I've used ADT before and they felt very rigid. Everything had to be done by the technician and I did not have online access to the system. So I feel that I fit more into Frontpoint and they are better because of that online ability. However, I don't like that I don't have the ability to record videos on my own device. They have a little bit of recording that can be done online, but I wish I could be able to do that on my own device.

The cost of the equipment was fair. I sometimes look up these items in the retail stores and realized that a lot of them are way below the retail value, which is highly appreciated. But then the service itself feels a little bit costly to me. I pay roughly 50 bucks for monitoring. I really felt like it should be about 50 percent of that. But I'm satisfied with my experience.

Frontpoint's customer service has been very good as much as we needed it so far and the installation process was a piece of cake. The quality of the equipment is good enough, although I would like to add some type of hard drive to record data on for some of the cameras. Frontpoint is competitive in the marketplace and I have recommended them.

Frontpoint's service is expensive. But I got a home security system for protection and because I could get a little bit of a discount. I went with Frontpoint for the features that it had and the overall functionality is pretty good. The base station is rather large and bulky. The mobile app could also be smoother and a little easier to use. It was almost like whoever designed it wasn't really using it on a regular basis. But there are no real major issues. I had some setup issue but I was able to get a quick help and resolve that as well.

Heres an update...so I called to get a shipping label to return the equipment, you get a 30 day trial period to check their system out...when I called back I talked to someone in customer care and this time we were able to work out our problem...so being a fair minded person I am at this time satisfied with the effort Frontpoint is making to resolve this matter.

I was promised a certain amount of contracts as well as a few other things. Never thought I would need to read in detail every word of the contract seeing how we had just discussed it and agreed on everything. When my equipment arrived at our home there was items missing. When I called to discuss it the rep with the company was no help and could have cared less. Take your hard earned money elsewhere...and you would think one would get a little info on equipment but, NO, none.

I did a lot of research on a reliable security system. I had a very bad experience with ADT, so that was out of the question. After seeing the reviews through different websites, even Google and calling, the experience was unbelievable. Frontpoint provides world-class customer service and consistency across the border. They explained to me every detail, how everything worked in terms of the system itself. I originally signed up with Frontpoint for my parents. My parents have been with them for about six years and I ended up signing for Frontpoint last December for my own residential home.

We dealt with different sales agents and customer service reps but they're very well-trained and all about customer satisfaction. It was satisfying that they take their time to explain details, even if it's a troubleshoot and there're many questions. I was a little concerned the first time I had to deal with the process of installing the system, but this time around, the experience was very user-friendly. I had some concerns and questions and every time I called, the reps are not rushing it through the call. The quality of the system is great and I love the features in my package. The system is very convenient and reliable.

There was a very minimum time that I might experience an issue and it was taken care of within a reasonable time. The system is for my residential needs and with the layout of my door, I was only able to put a sensor there, but Frontpoint found an alternative solution and it worked out very well. They're also good in sending the parts right away in a timely fashion. I like that Frontpoint has been steady for the past four or five years which seems reasonable. The amount I'm paying for the service is very affordable and they do different offers for the equipment. The more equipment needed, the more people end up paying. Sometimes, they have very reasonable and affordable offers, so I have always taken advantage of any sales promotion, either Christmas or Black Friday.

The experience with Frontpoint is reliable and the system is very easy to operate. The setup is very simple and I like the features. If they need to call you, they'll call you right away. They're 110% customer service oriented. I sincerely believe that the company deserves the recognition and that should not go unnoticed. Frontpoint is doing well and I referred two other friends. My brother also got involved with it and right now, I have a sister-in-law who was asking me.

They knew what they were talking about and they always got me the right department. Their professionalism and courteousness were very good too. I did the installation myself and it went really well and was very self-explanatory. To activate the system, I did it with a representative to make sure I did it right. It was an easy process. I would recommend Frontpoint to others. The features that were offered in my system are good enough for me. Also, I like the smart features and the cost of their system is good and very comparable.

We've always had a security system and we moved into a new house and wanted to do something that had the whole house protection. I looked at several different companies and got quotes from several different ones, and overall, the mixture of the package flexibility of Frontpoint and being able to go through it and customize exactly what I needed helped keep the cost in line for the upfront equipment cost. Their monthly was also on par with their competition. I used SimpliSafe before and Frontpoint is good compared to it.

Some other companies don’t offer a trial period and we'd be signing up blind for three years. I liked that Frontpoint offered that and it made me feel more comfortable trying it out, dealing with the customer service, making sure there weren't any problems and ironing the ones that came up out before I was fully committed to three years. Frontpoint's sales and customer service have been great. I was a little confused at first with the instructions during the installation process, but when I talked to a customer service person and started running through them, it was simple. I had a usual number of problems with my system to start out with, but they ended up replacing and upgrading my panel to a different type and as soon as they did that, it fixed all the issues.

The features offered in my system are really good and I use the app a lot. A big one for me is that Frontpoint has the fire monitoring and when added that in, it was included in the same cost as to whether or not I had the fire monitoring. That’s a feature that several of their competitors tried to charge $5 extra a month. Compared to SimpliSafe, Frontpoint is a different level of equipment in terms of its quality and manufacturing and for what I pay, it's good. Once they upgraded me to the touch screen panel, it clearly put it a step above what I would be getting with other people.

One thing that Frontpoint and no other company has is a guaranteed response time. All they have is an average response time, but it doesn’t tell you how much it's gonna be every time something goes wrong. So far, when I have tested it, the response time has been longer than 45 seconds. Frontpoint could set something to reduce the response time when an alarm’s triggered and, if possible, put something in the contract that guarantees us that we'll get a call within one minute or whatever it is after the signal. We had some earlier hiccups and equipment issues but overall, I'd recommend Frontpoint to people. I've only had it now for less than six months and I'm wishing for continued reliability of the system and not having any failures and having everything work great.

There were constant emails and calls. By the time I reached back out to make the decision, she had moved to a different department, which was funny. The installation was very easy, but I had to call about something I was confused on. With the style of my door, it wasn't completely flush with where the sensor had to go. I called to make sure and it all worked out okay when they walked me through it. I'm basic with the features but I like the mobile app.

When I had a problem or didn’t understand something, I called back and the reps were able to help me. They were very nice and friendly. I’m thinking about getting the smart lock for the door in the front. Also, I would like the indoor camera to be a little more interactive. It’s fixed in one spot only and it doesn’t rotate. AT&T's indoor camera can be turned around and you can turn it throughout the room, and I like that feature.

Nevertheless, the quality of the equipment has been good so far and I feel more secure having the system. I also use the smartphone features to lock and unlock. The cost of the Frontpoint system is competitive with the rest of the other companies. It’s a very good system. So, they left a big hole in our wall. That negative experience with ADT started the search for a new company. I did some Googling to look at various systems and Frontpoint popped out at that time. They were a little on the higher end so if I’d done it on price, I might have gotten another system. But I liked the salesperson who was excellent on the phone. Their customer service was very good and when I ordered my package, they were very knowledgeable and professional. The install-it-yourself was easy and it went really smoothly. The company I used before required something that I didn’t agree with and I switched to Frontpoint for the terms of their contract. I was a little bit apprehensive about the installation in the beginning because I had never done that myself. But it was fine after I got it all in place. The equipment's quality is also appropriate for what it does since I’ve not had any breakage at this point or malfunction. When there was a fire in the house, the smoke alarm went off immediately. On the other hand, I had spoken with another Frontpoint customer and he said that he had an experience where he’s had problems with his WiFi and when it went off, it triggered Frontpoint's system. He had gone home a couple of times and found the police waiting in front of his house. If it’s a technical problem or a programming issue with the system, I hope it’s been resolved because I’d hate to have that happen to me.

Nonetheless, I feel safe having the Frontpoint system in my house. I use the smartphone app a lot and I love it. I also had an interaction with their rep and it was efficient. It was what I needed. For decades, I’ve had a security system wherever I’ve lived but I'd tell others to give Frontpoint a try over what they are currently using. I purchased a home security system for peace of mind. I looked at the other options and I wanted to have a cellular system, not a Wi-Fi system. I had a friend that had installed Frontpoint and had a good experience and so we went with them. While sales was good, their customer service was a bit lacking. I live in a zip code that crosses city limits and Frontpoint had it set up for the wrong city. I called and tried to get it switched and no one ever got back to me to let me know that it happened. The first time when I called back, it hadn’t been done yet. I called back again and it finally happened but, again, I wasn’t notified as promised. I was told that I would have a phone call to confirm, but that didn’t happen.

If I hadn’t been locked in a contract at that point, they were trying to charge me per service that I wasn’t able to even receive, and I was disappointed with that. They made a small credit, but I wanted to get out of the contract. If I got a security system again, I would probably not choose Frontpoint because of the contract. They make it easy on the frontend, but it’s like all these other companies. They got me and then the customer service is out the window. It’s not awful, and it’s not the worst I’ve had. I would probably consider a ‘no contract’ option at least. I recognized it might be a little more expensive but for some of us, once you’re in it, you don’t know in 30 days if it really works for you or not, and that’s usually the time. They also gotta get the zip code right because if they would’ve called the wrong city, they’re not gonna come. It made no sense to try to activate the system because it wasn’t gonna work.

I found that every time I get into a contract there’s no customer service which was my disappointment. While Frontpoint eventually got it right and gave me a credit for the time period that I wasn’t able to use the system properly, they never really acknowledged that they didn’t initiate the communication to verify. I said that we were gonna test it and that I wanted to make sure they were gonna read the number back to me because I had no way of knowing who it was gonna call without triggering it, and I didn’t wanna do that.

Nevertheless, the installation of the system was okay, although the mounting was a little too MacGyver for me. They sent me those little sticky pads and they looked ridiculous. It looked sloppy and the way the stuff sits on the wall especially with the doors. It doesn’t give me the ability to maneuver them exactly where I want them. Some of those pieces were fine and worked out okay, but some of them could do a little more fine-tuning on the install, although it’s hard to have one-size-fits-all when you’re doing it yourself. That was a little challenging and I had to rig a couple of things up by going to the hardware store to fix it myself.

The features offered in my system and the equipment that I have are fine. It’s not the fancy touchpad version that I have but it does the job. I used the smartphone features to monitor when people were going in and out and if they locked the door when they left. I was able to see the activity. The price per month is not terrible. They’re advertising out the upfront cost of the equipment package and if I’m making it really cheap on the frontend. It’s reasonable compared to other systems out there. Since having Frontpoint in our home, it has given us that peace of mind when we’re not here. And even if we are, it’s gonna trigger something and somebody might notice. The service and the product are ultimately good, but it’s better than average. However, it’s not the best in class because of the service.

I looked up security systems with the search and then decided to give them a call. The interactions I've had with their sales reps were very good. With the first system I bought, I called Frontpoint and they said that I just made it under the wire on some kind of special they were having. Everybody that I’ve ever had business-wise with at Frontpoint, their support line was great. The system is simple to install and everything is on Wi-Fi. I’ve also added a few things.

I put Frontpoint in my house in Texas, and then I put another one in the home that we have in Mobile, Alabama. I just bought one for the First Christian Church in Ballinger, but I haven’t installed it yet since the church decided to install it this week. The security company that we had at Mobile had cameras on it. And so we had a break-in behind us in the next neighborhood. My daughter called, wanted to know if we got a recording. I called that company and they said that the cameras don’t record and that was when I decided to go to Frontpoint.

The people at Frontpoint said that they will surely try to make the cameras work with the system there at Mobile. The only problem we had was that the doorbell camera in Mobile worked fine, but then it quit and my son-in-law is down there, so I asked him to call the support and he said that they went through everything and he disconnected, then everything else wouldn’t work. But other than that, my experience with Frontpoint has been great and the features offered on their system are fine and I could also operate the system from my iPhone. Since having Frontpoint, we are a lot more secure and I’ve been very pleased with them. And I’ve talked to several people about them.

I gave them a call and they were very friendly. The sales rep that I talked to was very knowledgeable and not pushy. She gave me time to think about what I want so, it was a good experience talking to their customer service. They gave me a 100 days free trial. After that, I decided and used their service for three years.

The system was a self-install so they mailed me the whole kit and it was very easy and straightforward. I simply had to put some sensors around the house wherever I want it and then call them to activate the service. So far, we haven’t had any issues and it was good because there were several times that we forgot to disarm and they called us and was very prompt. They verified if someone tried to break in to the house and that it was just a false alarm. So, I have no complaint about the quality of service. Every time, it’s very accurate. Whenever we accidentally enter the door or enter the house, its alarm would trigger and they would give us a call. The response time was also very quick.

I asked them before if they had a security camera because that was also part of our security system. We had to purchase separately from another retailer. Frontpoint installed it and I asked them if they have one that can embed into the same system. They said that they do but I have to purchase it separately and it’s a separate package. It will be convenient if they all include it in one package and I don’t have to do it separately. We ended up purchasing our own and it’s not integrated into their system. But their smartphone feature is the best and the app is easy. Whenever we leave the house and we’ve forgotten to arm the security, we always use our phone. You just have to open the app and with one button, you can arm and disarm.

I am thankful to Frontpoint for their very easy to follow instructions and reliable service. I’m looking forward to more of their upgrades. The app is good to use but it might be that in the future, there may be a different look. So far, so good but there's always room for improvement. We went with their standard package and the installation was, more or less, as advertised. It wasn’t easy but everything has its hiccups. It was a bit of trouble getting the magnets from the door sensors to communicate with each other since my dual frames are highly set over the actual threshold of the door. The sensor could have been a bit better designed to account for an issue like that. Still, I got it to work and the customer service helped. I use the smartphone features all the time. It’s the only way that I interface with the security system.

The cost is overpriced given that there are some other systems available. However, it wasn’t too overpriced to force me out of them as a service or product. But I’m also a little worried as to the three-year contract that I’m walking into. Nevertheless, using Frontpoint partly makes my fiancée feel more secure. Overall, their equipment is good and I would recommend them to others.

I moved into a new home and I wanted a home security system. In the past, I had a wired system that was installed in the 1980s, and I had a local central system monitoring company that was $200 a year. There wasn't anything more I needed to do other than pay them, and they would occasionally come out and check the system. Frontpoint’s sales and customer service were great. Although the installation was a little frustrating at first. There was a magnet that was missing, and I had to call for help to have somebody walk me through it. Also, the features of the system could be better and the system should come with either an internal or external horn that’s part of the system that’s not signaling from the touchpad. There should be a separate horn, so if I'm not around and the alarm goes off, my neighbors will know what's going on.

I was looking online for a security system and it was said that Frontpoint is one of the best security systems. The lady that was assigned to me checked up on me making sure when I was gonna purchase the house and when I was going to get a system. She was calling all the time and it wasn’t like she was harassing me. I did like that. Plus I liked the explanation about the system and why it is good.

I had to call technical support to get some more details on how to install the system but it was pretty easy. Furthermore, I had to call customer service a couple of times. A lot of information was sent to me but there were some things that I haven't heard from before like if something was wrong with the window sensor, the alarm will consistently let me know if something is wrong with it.

The cost was very good and within 30 days, I was gonna be able to cancel which we were gonna do but they took a percentage off which allowed me to make it affordable so I decided to keep it. I’m enjoying the system. The only thing is the problem I have with the camera. When I talk through it, sometimes I can’t hear anything from it.

I did some shopping around and overall, I like Frontpoint. Part of why I went with them had to do with how the alarms were triggered and being hard for someone else to disable the security. Customer service was fantastic and I was impressed with how knowledgeable they were. Whoever I talked to, they answered any questions that I had. However, I have a glass break sensor and it fell off the wall one time and it broke. So I got another one sent out and I put that up, and that one fell too. I don’t know if it’s an issue with my wall or those pads aren’t that sticky in general. The cost is about $10 too much because there are other cheaper options out there, but Frontpoint is worth it.

I looked at the other systems out there and Frontpoint seemed to be the most reputable and the salesperson I worked with seemed really genuine and helpful. Their product seemed like a good balance of modern features. We were using XFINITY Home through Comcast and I hated them. Their system was super buggy and overpriced. I compared the number of different factors and it led me to Frontpoint. Their sales rep was super relatable, friendly and I didn't feel pressured. She was attentive. She got me the best deal she could and didn't seem like she was faking me. She also seemed to have a really good product knowledge.

I did a self-install and as a techie, it was easy. But they proactively called several times to walk me through the install. So, even if someone like my mom who's the opposite in technical knowledge may have to do it, she probably would have had the assistance she needed to do it properly. So I was impressed with that. I talked to multiple different reps and they were all really helpful and seemed to know their stuff.

However, there were two things I was really disappointed by. I like the panel overall, but it has a bug. Apparently, they changed models right before I bought it. Bug works as communications failure which can be really disconcerting because it sounds like the alarm’s not communicating. It's like a glitch, so that was really frustrating. The manufacturer of the alarm should have tested it better before they sold it to the masses. Months later, they still hadn't fixed that bug. The other thing is that the motion sensors are horrible. I spent hours trying to find the other third-party motion sensors that would work with their system because the motion sensors they gave me was willfully inadequate. They had a very, very limited vertical and horizontal window. And even like 10 feet away from it, if you move away it wouldn't detect the motion.

It sucks because the camera's awesome. The software, the website, the alarm.com where you can control your sensors and camera triggers, all that's awesome. Then the door sensors are even great and the glass break sensors seem fine. It was just the motion sensor and the panel itself were buggy. I just moved into the old system, it’s in the old house in another state now. I'm gonna have to buy an alarm system again and I'd probably buy a Frontpoint again because I like all the things. But I'm still gonna work out the motion sensor thing because an alarm system isn't good without the motion sensors. So that's a point of contention.

Frontpoint's price is good. Compared to others, they're right in the middle, right about the same as everyone else. If you can get over the bug in the alarm panel, then it's okay because it's not breaking the functionality supposedly. It just says that there's something wrong even though there's not. However, the motion sensor's a crap.

We purchased a home security system as a necessity. My wife is oftentimes in the home alone and I just thought it was a good idea. I did a lot of research on the web and the customer satisfaction ratings with Frontpoint were above the competition so I went with them. It was a piece of cake to install. However, I did have an issue with a couple of the sensors. Some of my doors were more recessed than what the normal installation was. So, the spacers to mount the sensors weren't adequate on two of my doors. Frankly, I haven't resolved it on both doors. I need a machine, a couple spacers to put the sensors on so that they can't come in contact with the other sensors all within three quarters of an inch of the other sensor or it will not work. So consequently, two of my doors are not being alarmed at this point. And it's not a good thing.

So far, I'm happy with the system features. I've got a couple of issues though. One, the yard signs are junk in comparison to other brands. Quality wise, they're flimsy. They don't stay together well. They've got this little cheesy "Leave It" that holds the sign to the post. They're just not of high quality. And when you're competing with large companies, you need to step it up. A Ring has very nice signs in comparison to the ones we have at Frontpoint. The other issue is the alarm sound. If I accidentally set off my alarm, it's not very loud. In fact, if the doors are closed on, I'm not even sure if my neighbors would hear it going. The police are gonna come but the first deterrent if someone hears an alarm go off, they just get the heck out of it. But it's really not very loud.

We described specifically what we needed the system for, which is for our small business commercial space. We went over with the salesperson how many doors we had, how many entrances and exits, how many people worked here, and what our day-to-day is like. And he recommended the system. He said that we needed two door sensors and three cameras. He sent what we needed based on the description of the space.

We did the installation ourselves and it was okay. There were little hiccups and issues here and there so we were on the phone quite a bit with customer service. Then a few months into it we found out that we were using up our storage way too quickly. So I called back and spoke with a customer service person about that. They told me that the system was not meant for a commercial space but rather for a residential. They said that we have a lot of traffic so our clips are gonna be used up fast. And that their salespeople aren't techie so they wouldn't have known to tell me that.

I'm not a techie person that's why I'm counting on them to supply what I need. It’s frustrating to be told that the salespeople aren't techie so they didn't really understand what they were selling me. They should educate their salespeople better. I felt like I was in good hands with the salesperson and that they were understanding what I needed. And then, to find out that that wasn't true when I had already signed the contract felt very deceiving. I felt like the salesperson was really eager to make the sale and wasn't listening to my needs at all. They also need more transparency about their services and their product.

It's hard on our small business to be paying almost $70 a month for a product that isn't doing anything. It's basically just a camera on the wall now because their clip storage has been used up. And there are comparable cameras for half the price. I'm overpaying for the equipment and it has been a bummer. I'd tell others not to use Frontpoint.

My wife got a little concerned with a rumored activity in the neighborhood. A person she knows had gotten Frontpoint so she called me one day and said, "Why don’t you see about Fronpoint". I checked the pricing and it was comparable or better so I selected them. Initially, the rep talked me through the whole system. I explained my house to him and we designed the system, no windows but four doors.

The installation was very easy and simple. I put the sensors on the four doors, then went back to the control panel and followed the instructions. The system recognized that I put the sensor on the front door. We did that for all four doors. It reads the four sensors and if a door is open, the control panel identifies the open door if I haven't disarmed it. They have good customer service. Every time I call they were easy to talk to, easy to get a hold of, answered all my questions and solved any other problem.

We have the control panel by our backdoor so every time we come and go, we just turn it on. It has a silent button, so there is no sense having the thing beeping when I'm at home. The last time I called with an issue, the guy explained to me that hitting the silent button gives me two minutes to exit the house which is helpful. When you put the system on or you turn it off, somewhere out there Frontpoint is monitoring it. At $49 a month, it costs a little more than we thought it was gonna be. I just wish they could lower it. Nonetheless, we feel comfortable with it. I'm satisfied with Frontpoint and I'd recommend them.

It turned out my house sitter was coming in to feed the fish and she tripped the alarm. I was disappointed that no one from Frontpoint followed through on that. About 20 or 30 minutes later, I got an email saying it was tripped, but that was not sufficient. It could’ve been a burglar.

The only person I've talked to was the guy who sold me the system and our interaction was okay. However, he got my information wrong, so someone else had to call me because they had the wrong address and the wrong city. It was also annoying. The installation was easy and the overall features that are offered with our system are okay. However, I wouldn't recommend Frontpoint because the other service had greater follow-through and more intensive monitoring. When we had alarms tripped in the past by our dog walker, they were vigilant about contacting us until it was resolved. Frontpoint's lawn sign is also very flimsy and it doesn’t hold up whereas I had a Brink’s lawn sign and it was really sturdy.

We were using ADT and weren’t too happy with them. We wanted to do somebody different and Frontpoint is much better. During the sales, there was no pressure and they gave me a lot of good information. The best thing is customer service. It is so far superior to ADT. Our experience with ADT was they talked to us like we were an idiot. In Frontpoint, it’s been super good. I’ve been in touch with them several times because the system was new and we didn’t know exactly what we were doing. I recently added their security camera, so I’ve had to contact them two or three times to get information on getting it set up properly. They’ve always been quick to respond. We don’t get put on hold and everybody that I’ve talked to has been very knowledgeable. They always can answer the question and it doesn’t matter who answers the phone.

The Frontpoint system was self-installed. They didn’t send out people, which was one of the things I liked. The installation was very simple. I did most of it from their online. And when I had a question, I picked up the phone and there was an instant answer. The features that are offered in our system and the smartphone features are great. I use the smartphone feature at night to set the alarm. That’s about the only time I use it other than if I get a notice that the camera has been activated. I can look at it on the phone. But I use it at night when we go upstairs. Instead of just setting the away function, I set the entire alarm from the phone. And then I disarm it in the mornings when I get up from upstairs so that I don’t go through one of the fields and set it off when I get up.

Now that I can arm the entire system, instead of just the away type function which I had to do with ADT, we feel safer at night because we’re upstairs and things could go on downstairs. And, if we need to, we’re able to move the motion detectors. We can move them around. With ADT, we would have had to call them to get them to come to change it. We feel better at night than we did before. The cost is also great. It was less than ADT for more functions and the monthly monitoring is less than ADT was. We’re extremely satisfied with Frontpoint and I highly recommend them. The system is good and reasonably priced.

I got Frontpoint as a preventative measure. They were better priced compared to others and I liked the fact that I can install the system all by myself. I've been with Frontpoint for three years and up until recently, my experience has been great. When I set the alarm off accidentally the response was good. But if you have to relocate security or want to cancel security for any reason or go a different company, you'll have a hard time with them. They try to lock you into this contract. Once they have you, they don't really wanna back off of it, even though you're dissatisfied with their service.

They also have some limiting features. They do have a cellular chip in their alarm that allows them to transmit even if the panel's broken. The problem with that is you can only have one panel. So if you have a big house, you only get one panel. And their price of equipment keeps going up, so when I moved to my new residence, I would've had to pay over $500 for more equipment for just having two more doors and three more windows.

Their representatives are very professional, but the way their company is set up, it's kind of slick, because someone that handles billing won't also handle customer service. So they bounce you around to two or three different people. So you have to re-explain anything you're upset about over all over again. So look into other stuff first, especially if you have a bigger house because they do give you a good deal on your initial equipment setup, but if you need to buy more, it's full price and they have no mercy on you.

We purchased a new home and it's out in the county and away from things. I wanted to give my wife a little more sense of security, so decided to get a home security system. Frontpoint became my choice because I knew that their system is completely wireless. Should someone be able to get to our box and disarm it, it will still automatically send out codes. It didn't matter whether someone cuts the power or not. And I liked that. I also compared the companies in the area and the price difference was substantial.

My initial discussion with them centered around the number of rooms, and whether I wanted to secure any other buildings, like my barn and a workshop. They also talked to me about the different types of security devices, whether it be window and door, magnetic devices, window break devices or garage door. I didn’t realize there were so many. They were very expensive and their dialog with me was about what might best meet our need.

When I installed the system there was an online tutorial that you can look at. Also, if you have a question or concern, all you gotta do is dial the number and they'll get you to someone to take you basically just step by step. The lady I was speaking with, initially, talked me through what would happen, and it was very simple. In a 1,700 square foot house, you can have everything set up and go on in 30 minutes easy. So, you're not looking at a tremendous amount of time. You're not looking to having to bring in people from the outside.

And everything works really well. I've dealt with security in our school buildings and it reminds me a lot of what we had in some of the schools, the magnetic locks for the doors and windows, and also motion sensors. They're of the same quality that we have in our system. The pad is really easy to navigate. It's been really simple and hassle-free. I've interacted with my wife at home through the camera that we have set up. Their app is also great and I love it. We usually set the system and then lock it using our phone as opposed to running in and trying to turn it off at the panel. So it's been really good.

The only downside that I'm having right now is partially due to my internet provider. Our speed and bandwidth are a little lacking and we've had several instances where the motion sensors in the barn or in the workshop have gone offline. We knew going into it that it was going to be a little sketchy because of the distance and the number of walls and stuff that it had to go through. So, I wasn't surprised when we started having some issues. It was through that we wanted to go, and we just need to be able to cover those two buildings a little better. So we're looking at buying an exterior repeater. Also, I had an issue with one of the sensors and made a phone call. They took care of that and sent me out a new sensor, and it was there within a day or two. So, they were very responsive to my concern.

Our peace of mind is better knowing that the things that we have stored in either the house or the barn or the workshop are not only locked up, but also has an added measure of security in place. I’d like to eventually upgrade to several exterior cameras. But I'm really looking for something that maybe doesn't exist yet. Usually, all these videos and pictures of people who have broken into houses or businesses are really grainy. I don't know why that has to be considering we've got 4K technology and the ability to take something that's very small and enlarge it. That's one thing that I will probably do in the near future once we get the internet to where it’s covering the area like it needs to. But it's been a very positive relationship for us. Frontpoint has done exactly what they said they would do. I would recommend them.

We live in the city and sometimes there's theft around where we live so we felt we'd get a security system. I did a quick Google search and it said that Frontpoint was one of the top ones, so I called and I liked the guy I talked to. It was a long phone call just getting it all set-up. But we had a lot to discuss and since no one came out to the house, I had to do a lot of describing of everything. But it's perfect.

At my work we have these cameras where you can actually speak through. When you have a babysitter in the house, you can actually talk to the babysitter through the camera and then you can see everything that they're doing. If your cat or dog is home alone, you can kind of check in and that's cool. I think that would be a nice addition if they don't already have that as an option.

The one thing that was kind of a little hiccup was when I ordered all the stuff, they were saying "Do you have any animals?" And I said, "Yes. We have a cat." And the rep said, "Well, is he like a really big cat?" And I said, "No. He's tiny." They were saying that the motion sensors would not be set off by the cat, but that's not true. My cat sets the motion detectors off, which is not a huge deal. He usually sleeps with us anyway, but he has to be locked in the bedroom with my husband and I so that he can't come down at night because he'll set the motion detectors off. So don't make the promise that it's not gonna get set off by a cat because it will. But overall the sales process was easy and the cost was great.

Compared to other providers, Frontpoint was a little bit cheaper. And I got less insurance if I took home security. Dealing with the Frontpoint reps has been smooth. The system is easy to install and the quality of the equipment is good, but the app is not working that much great. I still see some features I can operate on it, but the feature where I can set the alarm whenever I go out is not showing up now.

The Frontpoint reps knew what they were talking about and they helped me set up when there was a hitch. They were very straightforward for us. I like all the options and small details, like seeing when the security can be turned on or off because I travel a lot all over North America so it’s very accommodating for me. That is one of the major features why we purchased this, and if someone cuts the power off to the house, it’s enabled. Everything was excellent and it was great customer service in all aspects.

I've been online and Frontpoint seemed to have the best quality of service. I was comparing other security systems within the area and they were the company I thought I'd be able to benefit from. When I was working with their representatives, I was always satisfied. If I had a question they would be able to answer it. I never had any issues when I reached out to them. I went with the basic package since I didn't really want to invest in that much accessories to go along with it. Still, the rate is competitive and for my basic system, I pay 44 which is what everybody else is paying.

Still, setting up the system was very easy. The only con I had was with my sensors as I didn't know they had a number. They're just somewhere throughout my house and so it's a guessing game for me. Also, I didn't read the manual and I had to download it. So, I called and their rep gave me instructions on how to set the system up, making sure that the sensor was right there where it needed to be so I would I be able to hear it. However, the downloading of the manual was my pet peeve. I can't see the installation by downloading the manual, looking at it and reading it. If I had a video of someone actually installing the system to look at, I could benefit from something like that.

Still, I used ADT for years before and Frontpoint's home security system has been a lot better. With ADT, I sometimes had a lot of false alarms and with those false alarms, the police would come out. Although I'm in a different city, this company has a far better than ADT. Also, I love the smartphone features of my system. I often have to leave really fast without thinking and at times I need to make sure I arm the alarm. That's what I do on my smartphone which is something that ADT didn't have. It’s a bit better that way because I don’t have to send somebody all the way back home where I have to call and give the information to the alarm itself.

We used Frontpoint when we were away. I am able to control it from my iPhone and they also gave us a key so you can turn it on. It is more expensive than the other local security providers since it is a US company and the exchange rate is high but I feel safer when the alarm is on. Some people can break in and steal your stuff in five minutes. It was pretty compromised but it’s still better than nothing.

Our neighborhood had a few break-ins and forced entries. So, we determined that it would be worth to pay monthly to have a security system to rely on. I looked up "best security systems" on Google and Frontpoint and ADT were the top two that came up. ADT seemed to be more expensive since they’re an older company and Frontpoint seemed to be better price-wise for us. So, we went with them.

I spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he was excellent. He talked me through everything I needed and what I might wanna add additionally on there, whether it was a camera for the front door or something along those lines. He even listened to any doubts I had about the cost of the equipment. He was also able to give us a discount over the phone, down to something that we are more comfortable with paying per month and how much we are paying upfront for the equipment.

Then, it took me five to 10 minutes to install the unit myself. I went on the app that they told me to do then I put the sensors on the doors and stuck the glass break sensors near the windows. It was very simple. I like the quality of the equipment but I wish that the panel was a little bit better. It is not touchscreen or fancy and it could be a little nicer. The sensors themselves are great though. It beeps when it’s supposed to. I also like the smartphone features. With it, I’m able to check if the security system is armed. It gives me that peace of mind that if I was not at home and someone opened up the door, I would get a notification on my phone immediately. I would also like to get a doorbell camera that I can monitor from my phone but that’s not a feature that we invested in. The equipment is very pricey so we haven’t done that yet.

Other than that, the cost of the system is very fair for what we pay right now. We’ve had other competitors come to our house before, seeing that we have Frontpoint, and their pricing wasn’t really as good as Frontpoint so we stayed with Frontpoint. All in all, we feel much more comfortable that we have a security system that we set at home. So if there’s anything or anyone trying to enter our home or anything along those lines, we know that a message will be sent to the proper people, whether it’s the police or the fire department, and that’s a good peace of mind.

My brother was selling Amway at that time and Frontpoint was their partnered company, so we got a really good deal on the package for our first system. Our subsequent systems were bought through Frontpoint because we were happy enough with the service. It's simple once it's setup. It's been easy enough once I get the installers on the phone to walk through everything. Also, everything’s automated from payments to alerts, to making sure alarms are cancelled. I love the new app. I have had to call Frontpoint each time just to navigate small issues. It had more to do with the doorframes and things that were not in their control.

But it would be great if their sensors look a little bit nicer or a little more inconspicuous when it comes to the motion sensors and the glass break and smoke detectors. It all just look generic and white, and they look a little cheap. But it certainly gives great peace of mind compared to having none. We've been with them going on eight years now, and I have three different systems in three different places and it’s like being able to be there without having to be there.

Dad passed away in Massachusetts so I needed to input my dad’s security system remotely from Chicago. One of my colleagues and I were talking about security systems and he was very happy with Frontpoint's equipment and service. He recommended going to their website and checking out the different features. Everything has been positive when I got in contact with the Frontpoint representatives. And then anytime I have any technical questions, I always get a live person who walks me through the issue at hand and resolves it on the spot.

The system came with a comprehensive set of instructions and there are some videos on YouTube that I could reference when I was installing the system. The installation was simple, but I had follow-up questions regarding pairing the different devices with the control pod in the module itself. Although the monthly cost is not really that cheap, it’s probably within $10 a month of the competitors AT&T or Comcast. And if there is an issue and you get an alarm, they will call you right back. Basically, check the website first to see if it suits your needs. But you also have the ability to custom build a security system to your specific needs. The bottom line is that I’m very happy with Frontpoint and I recommend it.

There has been some issues with connectivity on recordings but other than that, their service is good in general. They also have good customer service. The people over at Frontpoint have been nice, accommodating, they explained what they were doing, and they delivered what I asked them to do. My wife installed our system and it went okay. But one thing we were not informed about was that there's a connection we have to have through the internet for a particular doorbell video. And we’d already installed it, and it works a little bit, but then it’ll stop working consistently. And so, they said we gotta buy another part for that. So we asked them why nobody told us about it.

They should be a little bit more conscious of where the Wi-Fi is in a customer's house, so that they can tell if they need to deliver a part that extends on the Wi-Fi, so that doorbell thing works more consistently. But other than that, it’s fine. Our Frontpoint system works great and does what I expected it to do. And in case we forget to set the alarm, I like being able to set it when we’re not at home. We've had a good experience so far. The price and value are fine as well. Frontpoint got some good stuff and they give you a good deal when you start out. I had ADT a long time ago but I wasn’t very happy with their stuff. When I moved to this other house, I decided to get from Frontpoint. I asked Google what was the top-rated security system and they said Frontpoint. So far it’s been really well. Their reps are doing great and they were very professional. The installation went well and it was pretty easy. They did a pretty good job of explaining it and explaining where to put the stuff. You get two motion sensors that come with the package. However, they could offer window sensors instead of having to purchase that separate and that should have come along with the door sensors. Any entranceway, like your doors and windows, should come in the package. It’s supposed to be a security system, but somebody could bust in your windows and your motion sensor didn’t pick them up.

Then, you can’t put your sensors where it's going to detect every place in your home. Mine fell off the wall the first time. I had to stick it on there with Super Glue. There should have been a little higher grade sticker system on those motion detectors because they’re going in the corners. Also, my mom is 92 years old and if Frontpoint told her that her doors and windows were monitored, she would think that they are monitored so when the thing says, “Doors and windows,” elderly people would think that. But younger people know what’s on it. It’s not a big deal to me, but it could be to somebody else. Other than that, the system is very good, and the smartphone app is a good idea and it works very well.

We've always had a home security system and we feel more secure in our home if we have one. We had ADT for years but when we wanted an upgrade, the person did not show up and I was annoyed. I looked up systems and I saw Frontpoint. They seemed interesting and it turned out that a neighbor had them. So, we switched to them. At the time, we were in a different state. Then, when we moved to where we are now, we decided to try ADT again. However, we had the same experience with their technician. Compared to that, we never had a problem when we had Frontpoint. So, I looked if they do service here and they did, so we went right back to them. We added more products since we had more doors and way more windows now.

Frontpoint's customer service is much greater and they are more responsive that ADT. Since we set up the system ourselves, which I prefer, we've had issues here and there. When one of our garage doors kept beeping, we couldn't figure why and we would have to slam it to close it. It turned out that it just wasn't lined up. Frontpoint's reps were always so patient with going through everything with us, thinking of all the different solutions, and I have never gotten off the phone without having the issue fixed.

The quality of the system is also great and as long as the system is on, I feel comfortable. I've always lived up north and being in a different place, it gives me that extra sense of security because I get nervous when I’m not familiar with the area. The smartphone app is great as well. When we were up north, we parked in the driveway and entered through the front door. But here we go into the garage, so it is great to be able to arm and disarm the system. Also when we're away, we have a family member that looks in, so the whole idea of being able to assign them a code, as well as to check and see when someone enters and leaves, gives us that extra security when we're not at home.

So far, we are not able to use the camera because it's a wired system, and our doorbell because it uses a battery. But technology changes and I'm seeing some changes within Frontpoint now. Still, purchasing equipment is gonna get costly and I wasn't happy with that. Oher than that, Frontpoint's cost is fine and in line with the other services. We've had a great experience with them and as long as that continues, we'll always be a Frontpoint customer. We've also recommended them to people.

Since that time we've had 3 sensors fail, and the control panel. Each time was an uphill battle trying to convince the customer service reps that we did not sabotage the sensors or panel in any way. Replacements for each of the sensors took up to a week to arrive, leaving our home unprotected in the meantime. When they finally agreed to replace the faulty touch panel, they were out of stock. In its place, we were sent a key panel that looks like it's from the 1950s.

While on the phone trying to get the key panel to work properly, the rep then informed me that our Arm Stay option had been configured incorrectly, and had only been arming part of our home sensors. At that point, the only thing I wanted was to end out service and part ways with FrontPoint, but their Customer Service Supervisor insisted that we'd be responsible for the nearly $800 termination fee. After repeated equipment failures, and after their negligently setting up our sensors incorrectly. I tried to have a civil conversation explaining all of this, which resulted in the supervisor offering to cancel our contract for only $575, with 30 days written notice, and requiring us to pay for the next 30 days of service. Wow, what a deal. I would NEVER recommend FrontPoint to anyone I know, and hope that someone in a better financial position that I am takes legal action against them.

I chose Frontpoint because of their customer service, even though it was a little more expensive than my other option. They seemed to be very knowledgeable about their parts and system. It was one of the issues that I was having with the other companies. Also, Frontpoint was very responsive. There was one issue where once my alarm went off. They have a process in order for them to call the police and because it wasn’t addressed the correct way, they reimbursed me for whatever extra fee they were going to charge me.

The system is pretty much just a plug-in-and-play. Whatever questions I had directly with the system, I called them and they were able to address them right there and then. I use the smartphone feature all the time. I’m glad I got it ‘cause I rarely use the system that is on my wall. Every time I turn on or off my system, it’s through my phone. Overall, you have the peace of mind. You should get a Frontpoint system.

Frontpoint reps were good and knowledgeable. And the cost was competitive with any of the local people here. In fact, Ackerman, the one that I was with before was a bit more expensive. So far, it has been a positive experience. But again, it’s a security system so it’s all about what you want. There's a lot of different bells and whistles, I don't. I just wanna know when the door gets open in the morning and I only use it when there’s an emergency.

We've always had a home security system. So when we moved, we decided to have one. We have been with ADT for many years and we wanted to try something different. So, we went with Frontpoint. They're cheaper than ADT but in terms of security, they're about the same. In terms of initial support, Frontpoint gave us good service. But after they made the initial sale, they wouldn't give us support and would just refer us to the after-sales support group.

After the unit arrived, I wanted to change the configuration. If you go to ADT, the salesperson will make sure the configuration is up to wherever you want it because when you go to a new house, you never know exactly what you need. But with Frontpoint, I tried to call and I couldn't get any salesperson. They shipped me a unit that didn't work but I called them and that was replaced. Then I added some new units for the garage door and that was good.

As for the installation, ADT would come in and install everything, then you pay a big fee for it. But with Frontpoint, I did the installation myself and had some problems initially because it was a new experience for me. The after-sales support from Frontpoint's maintenance crew was very good though and the instructions were okay. The features of the system that we have now is better than ADT because we can monitor alarms through our mobile phone. That's the best part about Frontpoint right now. I could get the same thing with ADT but it would be a much more expensive package. Other than that, Frontpoint could add a feature to close the garage door because right now, I have to buy a second system to close the garage door. Still, I would recommend Frontpoint.

I've had some unexplained visits to the house. My dog got sick for no apparent reason and it wasn’t due to anything l did, so we were thinking that somebody was coming on the premises when I was gone. So, we looked into purchasing a security system and Luke told me about Frontpoint. The overall cost of their service in relation to their system's quality is competitive with that of other security service providers. My son talked to the salesman about the cost and he took care of the money that was exchanged. Then Luke brought the system home and I set it up.

The installation process was good and I ended up having two different reps help me with it. I started out with a gal and she helped me get everything set up, but then we lost phone connection. So I called back and then I had a guy, and he was able to pick up where the gal and I had left off, and I eventually got the system set up. The features that are offered in my system are fine and I'm very comfortable with them. I would tell people to look into the Frontpoint system because it's definitely one that could work.

We just bought a new house and I was looking for a security system for it. I went on Google and looked at top reviews. Frontpoint was one of the tops. I called each one of the top reviewed security companies and they had the best price and they offered the most for their price point. So you get the most bang for your buck. As far as just getting started, it went very smoothly. I have had zero issues. It was very easy to set up. They offer that you can have somebody come out and set it up but I think it's self-explanatory. The way that they explain it, they give you the box and everything, with all the instructions. It comes step-by-step. It was super easy to set up and get it going by yourself.

I talked to customer service one time when I was going to switch to another security company because they said, "Well, if you have that, we'll beat them by this much." So this other company was trying to come in and be competitive. Frontpoint came back and said, "If they're gonna step in and do that, I'll tell you what, we'll give you what you already have for their same price."

The system is good. It's 24-hour monitoring. It comes with the phone apps so I can arm it and disarm it from anywhere that I am. It has the video doorbell, window and door sensors. And then I'm on a gold plan so it offers support for wireless cameras, but the wireless cameras aren't included with the initial purchase. You have to purchase those outside so you have to purchase those individually. I wouldn't say Frontpoint was any groundbreaking new technology, but it was an up-to-date technology.

I bought the security system for my wife because I work night shift. It was for us to have peace of mind and we are doing much better. When the doors open or something like that, it sends alert directly to your phone as well. So even if I'm not there and she's unable to call, I know that a certain door was opened. I've recommended Frontpoint to few of my friends that have recently bought homes. You really can't go wrong. They're gonna be competitive in price. You're gonna get high quality equipment and they're not just gonna try to take advantage of you. They're gonna try to keep you there for a long time.

I live in a very nice neighborhood but I just purchased a house and I wanted to be extra secure and safe. So, I picked a home security company. In Canada, more people were going for ADT, so I had to choose between ADT and Frontpoint. Then, I was looking up on the reviews about the two companies and people were in favor of Frontpoint than ADT, so I chose to go with them.

Their stocking was very good. But things got haywire when they sent the whole unit to me. I was moving out of the apartment and going into my new house, and I was told that the package would be coming in on a specific date before I moved, but it did not come in at that time. And the package kept on moving with FedEx for so many days. I had to call Frontpoint and tell them that I was cancelling everything, then somebody apologized for the error. Apparently, it was not his fault because he did mention expedited delivery. Also, when I saw the slip, it said that the package was supposed to be in a two-day delivery timeframe by the agent. But somehow, the package kept on going around and it did not go into expedited delivery. Instead, it went into the standard delivery and that was why it got delayed. So, I could not blame him for something which he did not do specifically.

Then the manager who called me and he was trying to help me out with everything. I understand human error and that everything is possible, so I gave them a second chance. There was no reason for me to be upset with Frontpoint or with any of the advisor for this because it was an error that was probably done by the system. The security system itself is very good and I would recommend it to others. In fact, I recommended it to a friend who also bought a house and lives in a very good neighborhood. I told him to be safe and that it is still better to have the security system. And he picked up Frontpoint because of my referral.

We had a new home and my wife and I decided that we would like a home security system for safety reasons. I had a first born child so I wanted to make sure things are safe. Frontpoint had excellent consumer reviews and the sales person that we talked to was amazing. We did a lot of research and Frontpoint came out clearly ahead. It was a do-it-yourself installation and it was amazing. I like that I own all the equipment and I can move with it. And then on the phone, they just walked me through it. Installation was so easy, it was unbelievable and they used 3MK instead of permanent holes in our wall.

Their features are perfect. It's all we wanted. And you can scale up for greater security if somebody wants. My favorite feature is they do a regular check every hour on the inactivity to all your equipment, which you don't mostly, and that's one thing that was nice. So if there's ever a problem, they know right away. The cost was one of the big motivators. It was the best. The cost to effectiveness is definitely competitive with everybody else but they had an edge on the customer service. When I call there, I always get an answer right away. There's no scale up in the pricing eventually which a lot of company do. That way, it's gonna cost me through the length of time I choose to use it.

The package that I got is exactly what I want. The performance of the system is decent. There are some glitches but it is just as good as the other services I had. The smartphone feature is excellent as well. The price is fair and it’s worth the value, too.

However, they make the installation sound easier than it really is. It takes time and if you don't know something about setting up the WiFi, then it's more difficult. But they were great on the phone. They walked me through the installation and they know how to troubleshoot and get everything taken care of. I have recommended Frontpoint a couple of times.

We bought a new house and I thought it would be a good idea to get Frontpoint. Their prices seemed reasonable because I could buy the equipment and that was mine for life versus some other companies where you had to rent it from them, so it's never yours. And over the long run, it worked out to be the same even though I did have to pay a bit more upfront. Some of the other systems were fancier but I didn't see the need for that.

My interactions with their reps were very good. I did have a bit of trouble setting it up though. The arrows needed to be lined up, so that wasn't as clear in the directions. So if there's something bad, it would be the directions that were provided when the product was sent over. The directions themselves weren't that clear, so it wasn't working when I set it up. So, I had to call them and I was able to reach someone quickly. I didn't have to wait on hold for 20-30 minutes. The people were very helpful and I got that all set up correctly.

In terms of selling the product, they weren’t very pushy. They tried to understand my needs, what's good for me. I had a good experience with them overall. In my living room there's a bunch of windows. So each one would have been an extra price but they let me know about the glass shatter. If someone's gonna break in, they're gonna shatter the glass. If that happens to any of the windows, the glass shatter monitor would pick that up and send an alarm that way instead of when a window is open. That way, I was able to protect four windows with just one product instead of getting four different ones. That helps save me some money. They were looking out for me that way as well, trying to understand what my house looks like and providing different options on what's most cost-effective but at the same time, making sure everything's secured.

So far, I'm okay with the cost. They are lower compared to the competitors. I would like it if it was a little bit less though. If they could do more of a promotion in terms of getting the house set up. If they could provide more of a discount on the products upfront when you’re paying for it, I think that would be nice because I think the monthly fee is also high. And even though it works out overtime, that is something that could stop people from signing up with Frontpoint, because they have to pay so much more upfront. Even if they raise their monthly fee a bit, if they were able to lower the price upfront, they might be a bit better off. Nonetheless, I'd recommend Frontpoint. But it also depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for the most fanciest system, I guess you'd go with Vivint. But if you're just looking for the basic security system, Frontpoint is much better than Vivint in terms of pricing.

Frontpoint got great reviews and had a great deal on original equipment to get in there, so we went with them. Their sales reps were great and did things as simple as possible. The system works great. Once I arm it, I feel a little safer in our home. However, if I don't line the door and window up properly, the system doesn't quite read. But once I figured out what I was doing, it wasn’t half bad. And although the monthly fee is a little high, you pay for what you get and it's worth it.

I've been thinking about purchasing a home security system for several years and haven’t done it. One day, I just decided I was gonna do it and a couple of weeks later, we had a robbery on the street. So because of that, I purchased one. When I put “Highest rated” on the internet, Frontpoint came up. But after researching it more, I found that there really aren’t that many people out there that have it. There are some but it certainly not the most used at all. I realized afterward that what I was looking at on the internet was more like a sponsored ad. Nonetheless, Frontpoint's customer service people are super nice and patient. They are always willing to help. However, when you call them with a question or problem, they repeat what your question is to make sure they have the question right and it's a bit annoying.

Setting up the system was difficult in the beginning but it really wasn’t that hard looking back. But when I was doing it by myself and I was just following the instruction, it took way longer than it needed to. I don’t have motion sensors because I have cats. But I have the smartphone app and it's easy to use. The system is good, overall. It seems to work. One time it worked. I was away and my girl wasn’t paying attention to everything I told her. So the police ended up coming and I don’t want it to happen. I set up the alarm 70 percent at the time but sometimes I’m in a hurry and I forget. But it’s certainly better than not having it at all. And I feel better at night. Sometimes, I would open the door and the alarm would be off which would have called the police. I have 20 to 30 seconds to turn off that terrible shrieking noise. I have a neighbor who got Frontpoint too because I have it. So, there’s now two out of six on this street that has Frontpoint.

We've had another security system, but we were looking at something that would be a bit more reasonable in cost for us. My sister-in-law had Frontpoint and she was very satisfied, so we decided to look at them. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and he was able to explain stuff, so signing up with Frontpoint was a very easy decision to make. The installation was a little difficult as far as putting the pieces in place, but that had more to do with the type of moldings on my door. But they gave enough cogs and some thicker panels, so I could make adjustments and I was able to make everything meet. The installation instructions that were included were pretty good and made it easy to be able to decide what I need to do and how to do it.

We’re content with the features offered in our system. One of the things that we get a laugh out of is the readout that gives us the local weather for the next 24 hours. Sometimes it’s just knowing what’s the weather gonna be like and taking a quick look if I have to worry about umbrellas. That feature is a very small thing but it’s very helpful. I have used the smartphone features and they worked fine. They're handy to have and they make the system convenient to use. Getting to the house, I can disarm and go in before I get out of the car.

I’m very happy with the quality of the equipment. It's fine compared to the other system that we had. I’ve got a cat who likes to open doors, so it gives me a heads up if she’s opened a door. Or even when I have my nieces and nephews over, instead of heading out, I can hear the door. And then if someone’s headed out that way, I can keep track of the kids. Frontpoint is easy to use and everything works fine, and I’ve recommended them.

I reviewed about four home security companies and called them. There was a lack of responses in understanding what I want. Frontpoint was quicker to respond and the agent was right on the top of things. He provided a lot more quicker information and was constantly emailing me to see if I made a decision. The difference in price was $5 plus but what was serious to me was that I could rely on Frontpoint if I needed something.

We got the home security system just to solve our trouble in case somebody would come in and steal everything inside, so that they wouldn't disappear. My son came over and installed the system. Then, he pulled out my phone and told me how to use it. I have the setup alarm, disarm and check cameras on my phone features and that's all I need. I have all positive things about Frontpoint and would recommend them to a friend or neighbor.

I went on YouTube and tried to see the top 5 security systems, and Frontpoint was named #1. At first, I was going to choose ADT because it’s very popular, but I decided to do a little bit more shopping and then I saw Frontpoint. And I’m very satisfied with them. I also saw the reviews that they had and they’re the best as far as customer service and that’s very important to me. I enjoyed the conversation with their rep. It was great. And he was amazing and very patient. He listened, explained everything to me, and handled my situation very well.

My partner and I worked on the installation, and it took us about 30 minutes to put everything together. There were very easy instructions about installation when I received a kit. The system's features work very well and I have enjoyed them. The quality of the equipment is great. I have my app where I can either lock or unlock my system. It’s very straightforward and there’s nothing complicated about using it. And when my security system is on, I feel a sense of ease or peace and I feel much safer than I was before. I would recommend Frontpoint to anybody. It is affordable, easy to install, and it runs on a cell tower, which makes it easier to use. They can take an app and use it through their phone. Also, the people that work there are very attentive.

I had ADT at my other house and they were fine, but then when I called to get quotes and information, they really harassed me. They would not let me off the hook and really tried to get me to buy. On the other hand, Frontpoint's guys were really easy to work with and they didn't bother me. The sales guy was really nice and not pushy. They waited until I made the decision.

I installed the system myself really easily. We even bought the fobs as well and I thought those were great. However, my boyfriend was complaining about the cost of the system as he thought that he was high. Still, I told him that we're paying more for the service and we got the equipment for a good price. I've been paying for the service every month but then we had to take the whole system down 'cause there was nothing. I don’t even have a roof on the house yet and I want to put Frontpoint's system on hold because we're paying for something we aren't using.

I’ve always had a security system and was looking for a different provider. Frontpoint came up first in my research for the market. They were very straightforward and upfront. There was no upselling like with ADT or Monitronics, which I had before. Their representative answered all my questions and concerns and gave me a break for a rental property and my home.

The buying process was very simplified and the Frontpoint equipment was not cumbersome. It was shipped to my home and the setup was in less than an hour. They provided really good customer support as well to guide me through. You could do a self-install but if you run into problems, just call the helpline and they'd walk you through. The people on the phone are very skillful and efficient. For my needs, the system is perfect and a good fit. I’m away from my home a lot, so it’s something I could rely on. The equipment is easy to use. I seriously like it. And in relation to the quality, the cost is good. I would tell my friends to consider Frontpoint as one of the top three. Keep up the great work, Frontpoint!

I had a home security system in Denver and when we moved to Georgia, it seemed like a natural thing to get once again. I live in a gated community, but it's better to have it because we go away for weeks at the time. I read online reviews and there were a couple of things about Frontpoint that appealed to--one was great service and the other one was using the cellular system so that cutting the internet or telephone wire would not disable the system. The interaction I had with sales rep was a typical high-pressure stuff where I called them up and was told, "If you do the deal right now, then we'll do this and that for you. But if you don't do the deal right now, then it's gonna cost you more later." At that point, however, I had already done my homework so it felt like Frontpoint was the right decision. I was happy to take all the right-now deal, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

The installation experience was some very good and some very bad. Also, the quality of the service I received from Frontpoint has been very uneven. Some people were very good, helpful, smart, and capable, and gave me the right answers very quickly. On the other hand, there were people who went through this ponderous process at the end of the call where they would repeat everything I've said as if to rephrase in some way that somehow it would be more helpful. I don't need someone echoing the words back at me in a slow, insulting manner. I'm a technophile, and I understand the technology and am very comfortable with it. Those were the people who typically were the least capable of giving a good answer. And that needed some work.

My first call for support was with a woman and it went so badly. She was so unhelpful, uninterested, and uncaring about the situation that I decided at that point to dump Frontpoint because I was still within the 60 days to send it all back. But after I calmed down, I decided it would make more sense for me to continue with them based on the reviews, on the technology, and on the fact that I had already gotten somewhere along the installation process. Also, the alternatives weren't as palatable as I would have liked. So, I tried calling again and got someone who was much more helpful. Since then, my experiences with service have been anywhere from okay to good.

I sometimes got answers that were surprisingly stupid, though. As an example, when I logged in online and it said, "Your system is not connected to the internet," I didn't think it was supposed to be. I contacted support to know why I was getting that message. And, in a very dismissive way, the answer was, "Oh, it's not supposed to be connected to the internet. That's the great thing about it." I just reported that their software gave me a warning that the system wasn't connected to the internet. Instead of being dismissive of me and telling me how stupid I am, they should've just acknowledged the problem and said that the software shouldn't say that.

In fact, one reason why I contacted Frontpoint about that was because a woman in support told me that the way the system gets its update is by connecting via Wi-Fi. And yet, some said there is no Wi-Fi connection at all. It was confusing. I went online and tried to learn what I could find, and sure enough, there is no Wi-Fi connection to the system. This also means that the system can't be connected to the smart devices in my house and this is a big hole in the technology.

And then, part of my kit included two bad sensors. I sent them back but Frontpoint didn't realize I sent two back in one box for some reason. When I talked to the person about the fact that they didn't have a record of receiving both units, I asked if they were gonna make me pay for a faulty sensor. The answer was yes. Again, there was no concern or sympathy whatsoever. I would have understood that they have a process if they said, "I'm really sorry about that but I don't have any choice. If we don't have a record of you sending it back, we have to charge you for it." But eventually, someone there figured it out and credited me back with what I've been charged.

Additionally, one of the things that I'm surprised about is that Frontpoint's way of handling alarms is inadequate. With my system in Denver, I had a code which I could give when I'd cancel the alarm so if I was not able to give the correct code, they would know that I am in trouble and they could call the police. Frontpoint has no option for that. So, if someone forces me at gunpoint to clear the system, the system will be useless. It's one in a million shot, but Frontpoint doesn't have any thought about that.

It's also weird that the system immediately generates an alarm when I trigger a sensor if I forget to disarm it when I've been away. There's no delay period, beeping, or anything like that. Then I get a message or notification on my phone and I go and clear the system. I am almost shocked that Frontpoint could clearly put a lot of thought into a lot of aspects of the system, but when it comes to actual security and thinking through the possibilities, Frontpoint does not care enough. They're happy to take the money and to run everything. I also couldn't understand why Frontpoint wouldn't want to rely on the internet connection in order to report alarms. In a race of pigs, Frontpoint might be the best. If you care about something simple and do-it-yourself, Frontpoint is a good choice. But, if you really care about security, find a company that has proper security protocols.

I told them I have three doors and I needed at least three sensors. They sent me two sensors so I only needed one sensor. But they still have not sent me one. I planned to get the inside sensor, but they always send me the door sensor and the window sensor, which I didn't need much. Then they sent me five window sensors. I said that I needed the motion sensor, but they haven't sent it yet. I have a contract with them for three years, so I can’t go anywhere.

The installation was hard. I asked the lady where to put the sensor. She explained to me to put it four feet from the bottom and it should be in the middle of something. I have a convenience store, so each and every product will be in the middle of something. I put the sensor near to the door. If I put in the sensors the wrong way, then if somebody comes and robs the whole store, I wouldn't know. So if Frontpoint came and installed the system, that would have been the best thing. Plus, they are at the same price as ADT or another local company that will come and put their system up. I don’t know how the security system and sensors work. Nonetheless, the system's features are okay and the equipment's quality is good.

The features that were offered with the system were good. And the quality of the equipment seems fine, although sometimes it’s kinda hard to put those little things on to place it. And the distance was a problem. I had to put the monitor in the kitchen. I was gonna have it in my office to be handy. But my office is on one side of the house. I couldn't figure out why I could not get this one to work and it turned out it was too far away. So, the range could be better.

Frontpoint got a tremendous customer service and sales teams, and everything has been excellent. However, I don’t like their policy wherein if you sell the house, then you’re stuck with the contract. I'm protecting a house that I had up for sale and I’m still wondering if the buyer's gonna take it over. If he takes it over, then there will be no problem. If he doesn’t, then I’m stuck with the three-year contract. I feel like Frontpoint should let you out if the house is sold. They could let people do spaces of times when they wanted to put the system on a house that’s up for sale. They could do it on a six-month time, and then they could renew. The home warranty lets you put it on six months at a time and you’re not locked in and have to pay a bunch of money or be stuck with a unit you can’t use anymore. Everything was perfect except for that.

The system is wireless and I customized my package a little bit, but it could be better. I wish the sensors were smaller but they're fine. I have a remote system which I can turn on and off remotely, and it could be something that they offer in their cheaper plan, but I have to pay more. If I have all the features on the lower price plan it would be more appropriate. Unfortunately, I’m locked into a two-year deal otherwise I would go with another company with more features on a lower plan. Other than that, the quality of the equipment is good. Customer service was great and accommodated me by not charging for the first month when the equipment wasn’t set up. They were helpful too if I had any questions when they called.

We'll probably use the smartphone app when we’re on vacation or we’re gone for a long period of time where no one is there to check the house. But if we were gone for a day, like for a movie at night, I’m not looking if anyone's staking out my house because I have cameras already in my house too. The fact that you can install the equipment yourself is good and so far, everything seems to be working outstandingly. I was impressed and I like the features so much that I talked with my wife about getting the system for our own home.

We used a different security system in the store before Frontpoint and a nice little touch that our old system didn't have is the wireless communication. With Frontpoint, you can program different notifications into the system and have it beep your phone if you’ve left doors open or if you forgot to arm it. I also like the quickness of the system versus most of other typical alarms that notify the authorities, then the authorities come and walk around, photograph the windows, and call you about what's going on. Frontpoint's system instantly tells me what is going on and I don’t have to wait for the police to show up if something was to happen. I could be en route as it’s happening and make a decision myself.

Frontpoint has some very good products that allow customers to pinpoint some of the security concerns that a lot of homes or businesses would have. I like the idea that the system has the roll-up door, window, noise, and glass shattering sensors. Once, I called Frontpoint because I thought that the alarm was malfunctioning. It turned out that the battery of the old alarm system sitting next to it was going out. They were a great help and resolved that quickly. That’s a positive thing because we tend to use the system more that way.

However, I still prefer the other system that we had because it allowed us to hear which door was being opened. And as soon as the alarm was put on, if someone was to open a door, it will blast off. On the other hand, with the Frontpoint system, it's just like a normal ring if someone is opening the door and the alarm is off. Their sales team was willing and able to work with me on the start date for the first location and then I was a pretty easy repeat customer for location numbers two and three. Its physical installation was easy to do since it's all wireless-based and the instruction included in the system is a no-brainer. It's also been painless since their rep also talked me through on the phone on how to set everything else up from a software standpoint.

The equipment's quality has been fine, but its batteries don’t quite last as long as I was hoping. We got ran out of it sometimes but Frontpoint was quick to replace them without any charges so it's not a financial nuisance. However, it was more of a logistical nuisance to request for new ones and then install the new devices when they send them. I also like its smartphone feature's capability, but it's not used extensively since I'm the only one that uses a smartphone out of all my users in my businesses. The $50 a month I'm paying for the monitoring service is very reasonably priced for the customer service and support I received. It says on the software that I'm limited to nine users and I wish to have more users. But Frontpoint's system does its purpose well and I'd recommend it.

Some petty crime started popping up when we moved in and although we don’t necessarily live in an unsafe neighborhood, we got a system for security. We had ADT about five years ago and Frontpoint has been significantly better. We really appreciate the fact that we were able to make the decision of which security system to use ourselves, instead of having a representative come into our home like our experience with ADT.

We had already decided to get a security system but the concept of “let me scare you into spending more money” was such a turn-off. We’re not scared people and we made a very practical decision. We said that we were not worried about this or that, but they were very pushy. It was a really frustrating experience on the whole with ADT. In addition to that, the previous owners of our current house had ADT and we’ve had people knocking on our door wanting to get us signed up for the system till 8:00 at night. And we have two young kids. It was awful. In comparison, the interactions with Frontpoint's reps were a lot better. My husband went through the services of getting the security system set up, and it was very simple and matter-of-fact. We told them we wanted a security system and they told us what they had. The cost was very reasonable too.

My husband did the installation and it was very simple. The equipment is great. It’s user-friendly and the response time is quick. I also appreciate all the different options. We have a different setting for when we’re here for when we’re gone. We’ve recommended Frontpoint and when people have asked about it, we’ve said nothing but great things.

The owner of the house before me had an ADT system that was not set up. Then, I live there with my kids and I figured I’m off of a busy road that I should have something to keep track of something. I did a lot of online research and Frontpoint kept showing up on a lot of blogs. It seemed to have good reviews and not that fuzzy. Then someone from Frontpoint got back to me right away and their price was in line with what I was looking at. It was also a little more modern than some of the other companies. And the representatives knew what they were doing and I can always get a hold of someone. Plus, they never tried to upsell me on anything. They just referred me to the portal to check out things. And I could start with what I felt comfortable and really felt out of the nuances of the traffic flow in my house and where I wanted to beef things up.

My boyfriend installed everything and it went well. I like Frontpoint’s equipment and I feel it is adequate. I started with the real basics and then I’ve been adding, as I’m figuring out what’s working for my house, like some indoor motion sensors. And then I got the Schlage automated locks too. I have been piecemeal adding things at my own pace, which I liked. The quality of my equipment’s feature is great. I especially like the Schlage locks as they are affiliated with a good brand. Also, the cost is fair with the system’s quality. Less would always be better but I’m still fine with it. Frontpoint is easy to set. I can set everything from my phone, and that the motion sensors let me know when my kids wake up. I also know where everyone is in the house. I also love the automated locks where I can lock everything on my phone.

I was looking on the internet for the top alarm companies and Frontpoint was the one that called my attention. I called them and their rep sold me the service. His knowledge of the product was excellent. I got two security systems, one in my home and one in my business. During installation, the the door sensors and motion sensors were really easy to put up. The instructions were very understandable and good. However, it took a bit of time to install the camera and I had to call Frontpoint. They helped me over the phone and we were able to make the camera work.

Also, the quality and the features of my system are good. I'm able to control a lot of things over my cellphone. And the system is not cheap but it's the right value for the equipment. All in all, having the Frontpoint system makes me feel safe. I can leave my house and I would know if the door was open or somebody walked in it. I'm glad I chose Frontpoint and so far, it's looking perfect for me. I would also tell others that Frontpoint has an excellent product and that they should give it a try.

We had a vehicle stolen from in front of our house so we decided to get a home security system. The choice came down between Frontpoint and Vivint but whenever I called Vivint, they would try to give me all this equipment. On the other hand, Frontpoint was very honest with me. They told me that I could get cams with them but that I could also get more cameras and hook them up to the system. They said that it is very universal and that I can take the equipment wherever I go even if I move houses. And we were trying to renovate properties and move so it added up. We wanted to stick with it wherever we go so it's good that we can take the equipment with us. Frontpoint also has the best customer service reviews.

The sales rep we worked with was very knowledgeable. I purchased an indoor camera and a doorbell camera but we didn’t have internet at the time to install it. They will probably install those in the next two weeks. That aside, installing the system was pretty easy. We got the equipment out and the instructions were good. But our phone wouldn’t connect to the system when we were trying to get it to sync. We realized that we were putting the equipment upside down on the doors. But when I couldn’t figure things out, I called Frontpoint and they were able to walk us through all of it. We even got it done within 20 minutes. The reps were also helpful and very friendly. They asked how our day was and we tried to create some type of conversation while they were waiting for stuff.

When I first got the equipment, I thought it was cheaply made but everything has worked fantastic, even the sensors that we have. If anything goes off on our system, Frontpoint is very quick to respond and I really appreciate that. Now, I always feel secure and we feel confident when we leave. When we come home and we didn’t receive a call, we know that everything is probably fine. Frontpoint is one of the cheaper companies that has good customer service and that’s the better trade-off for most.

Then I called back a day later when I had some more time and it took five minutes to get it resolved. If the first person had known what she was doing I wouldn’t have wasted an hour or so. I've had Frontpoint for two years, and I generally had no issue with their service or product. I moved in December 2017, and decided not to move the service with me, and informed the customer service rep I talked to, and made it clear I did not want to move the service. They said that I still had a couple months left on my contract. And once that was done, I would be canceled (or pay a termination fee which was basically the same as waiting out the contract). I was unhappy but ok with this situation, since that was a signed contract. Importantly, I was told it was taken care of, and it would be canceled when my contract was over. At that point, I moved and my old email was shut off.

Apparently, there was still one step where I had to email my consent to them to cancel the contract (even though I was talking to them on the phone)... Problem was that my email was no longer active since I MOVED to another state, so I never got those emails. I didn't log into Frontpoint website, since as far as I knew, the service was going to be canceled, and I had no reason to do anything there.

They are now claiming that since I didn't respond to an email that I didn't know I had to deal with, AND had no way of getting since my email was canceled, that I had to pay for 2-3 months after my account went off contract. They also claim they tried calling me, but apparently, they were ok with keeping on charging me even though I canceled the service over the phone, and there is easy evidence that the system hasn't been used since December 15th. They didn't try mailing me (I should have gotten a letter in the mail with forwarding service).

The customer service rep was UNWILLING and UNABLE to give me any concession on this, and refused TWICE for me to speak to a manager or anyone who can help me. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS company. I'll admit that I should have been watching for this charge on my bank statements for the last 3 months, so I am partly responsible for the extra months. I was not asking for a full refund for those 100% unused months, but just a concession.

I needed a home security system as a preventive measure. I looked at several companies online and then talked to a Frontpoint salesperson on the phone and felt good about their price and technology, so we tried the offer. He did a great job selling me on the product but I don't know if he made a mistake or just bald-faced lied to me. He said he had to have a credit card on file and I was very clear about getting the initial purchase of the equipment charged to my card but not the monthly payment. He said that it wouldn’t be but that’s exactly what happened. Every month it was charged to my credit card, so it has been a little aggravating. And we don't live in that rental property anymore.

There is a function at the base that makes noise if something's been tripped. I don’t know how to operate it perfectly but it does some loud beeps when we arm it. We got a newborn and wanted to arm the system but we would also definitely wake the baby up. The only way we knew how to arm it, was either loud or louder. It would be nice if there was an option for totally silent arming. Nonetheless, the features offered in the system are good and they do everything as advertised.

I was leaving town a lot for business and I wanted my family to be safe. I did a lot of research and I appreciated the simplicity of the Frontpoint system, the self-install, the low-cost and the no-contract monitoring. I filled out the thing online that I was interested and I quickly got a call from the sales manager. He informed me of all the products that they had available, what the systems entailed and what all the details were. Based on the need that I had at the house, he offered me a price and a system setup. Then I talked it over with my family. When I called Frontpoint back and requested an additional sensor for something else, the sales manager added that with no additional cost without a problem. So it was a really good and informative no-pressure sales pitch.

The installation was very simple. My son and I set the whole thing up, including several sensors in and around the house, in under an hour. The system was up and running very quickly. I had some technical issues programming some sensors afterwards and I got contacted right away by the technical people. They walked me through the setup and made it very simple. So all the interactions I've had with the sales and the technical staffs have all been very professional and easy.

The system is good. It's a little bit basic in some aspects like the keypad but I could get an upgraded one with the touch screen if I wanted. But it's trying to keep up to speed with current technology and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. The app works out very well too, and I get notifications when I'm supposed to. I now feel a lot better when I'm away from home. I leave my family knowing that they're safe. I got younger kids and sometimes they're at home as well so it's nice knowing and having that security. I'm glad I went with the company and I hope to continue the relationship. It has been an easy and exceptional service.

I purchased a house for the first time so we wanted a security system on the house. Based on the reviews online, we decided to get Frontpoint. Their reps helped me narrow down exactly what I needed for my house just based on me describing it. I’ve had to call once or twice for a better spot and they were able to fix it right away. There was also a time when I needed to have my main monitor pushed out and I had to get the carbon monoxide sensor synced up. I just called in and whoever they linked me to for that got it done in a minute or two.

I chose the features that I needed and everything’s working great. The only thing feature-wise that I couldn't really find, but maybe there’s something out there, is the way to customize what you can arm with different settings. I wanted to leave one door out of the lock-in if we're taking our dog in and out and arm everything else. That was something I was looking at but it's not really a huge deal. I’ve had Frontpoint for less than a year now and it’s been good, so far. They have good sales service and customer support, as well as easy installation. It’s a good system, very responsive and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I was a first time home buyer and I wanted to do it right. Having a home security system is a thing people do these days, so I chose to get one as well. I went with Frontpoint because I liked the flexibility of their iPhone app and I could build my own set, piece by piece. My interaction with their sales representatives was pretty nonchalant and was very informational but it felt like I knew a lot more leaving the conversation. I customized my service package and it started when I was asked about the size of my home and how many doors I have. Then I built my system for my need needs. I have a dog at home so I couldn't do a motion sensor and I had to get the right number of glass breaker sensors depending on my windows.

It was easy to set up the system and connect into the app. But the placement of a couple of angled sensors ended up interfering with the door. So, one of them came loose and I had to remove it. Also, the instructions weren't perfect by any means. In fact, there was one step where I had to troubleshoot what wasn't going right and that was a spot where I had to search around the instructions for what to do. The system with the keypad is also bothersome sometimes and it would be nice if it was wireless, though I don't know how that might be possible without doing some major electrical work.

Other than that, the app is very easy to use and the best feature is the log, where you can look at what times certain doors are open. But there were a couple of spots on the smartphone features that don't seem user-friendly, and things could be made easier by learning how to do certain things, like arming, from the actual system itself and not from the app. At the moment, the only way I know how to silent arm it is through my app but I'm sure there's a way to do it from the system as well. So, Frontpoint should talk their clients through on how to use the different features of the system other than just set it and hear a beep for three minutes. But since having the system installed, I feel a bit safe. And if friends would ask me about Frontpoint, I'd tell them it's a good set up so long as they are willing to set the system up themselves and take advantage of the things that the app can do.

When I was told about it, I explained to Frontpoint how I would want to use it and one of the needs was a security camera mounted on a tree outside the house. We discussed how far it was from the house and from the computer that would control it.

When I tried to mount this and work, it’s apparently out of the range of the modem and it just didn’t have the distance that I expected. I even bought a new modem to try to increase the power. I also have not been able to use the outdoor camera which was a bit of a disappointment. I told Frontpoint about it. This is at a retreat house and I’m not there all the time. So when I go back over there for a week at a time, I usually check in with Frontpoint and we work with trying to change the location and trying to handle this problem. As long as it’s close to the modem, it works fine except for the distance. I actually bought a more powerful modem. An extender might also have been a good idea but I did not buy one. Even so, the quality of the features is good. Also, it was priced appropriately for installation. It’s a little high on the monthly basis but I needed it and I’m willing to pay.

It was such a piece of cake to set up. The customer service representatives were really friendly. They answered my questions as if in a way to not make me feel stupid but also really clearly. There was clear communication.

The features are great and the system is really easy to use. I use the key fob the most. I have two crazy dogs and using the fob is really great because I just turn the system off, then they just jump all over me. If I don’t turn it off first, they might jump all over me, then it turns off. Also, I have a gazillion windows in my home and the system came with two window break sensors and I may get another one. But they didn't say how the sensor would go on the door and to match the two arrows. I had to call customer service and they walked me through it. Then, it was a smooth install.

But for three weeks, I kept getting phone calls every week that our home was not being monitored. I was a little concerned because I was paying for it and I wanted our home to be monitored. I had to redo a sensor every time they told me to and they would tell me it’s being monitored and that we're good. But the next day, I would get the same phone call. It could have been a faulty sensor though. The phone calls have stopped so I assume it’s been taken care of. Frontpoint had also given me an indoor camera which I felt was unnecessary.
