We purchased a home security system to be protected. We had another security system before, but we switched to Frontpoint since they're satellite and that was convenient. I was able to customize my package according to my needs and the features offered in my system are very good. The quality of the security equipment is very good and everything is pretty good with the overall functionality of the system. The customer service was very good overall and the reps have been very helpful. I installed the system myself and it was very easy to do with their help. We're happy with Frontpoint.

Frontpoint has great reviews and we found it to be the best option for a home security in which I didn't have to run wires or damage my walls in any way. It was also 100% cellular and I really like that. If the power gets cut, there’s no issue. Having done my research beforehand, I called them out of pure curiosity, and they were very helpful. They actually sold me then. And one of the features that sold us was the smash alarm. It seems very sturdy and then if somebody breaks in and they try to destroy it, it would immediately call the cops. The equipment was also self-adhesive so we haven’t had any panels come off or any of the window sensors. And so we’re pleased with it.

When we were setting up everything that they sent, my husband was able to do it within 10 minutes. It was really cool, self-explanatory and the videos that they have on their website were very helpful. We like the ability to do it ourselves. Also, the customer service has been fantastic. I’ve made one phone call with them and we’ve had the alarm go off a few times, and the reps were very responsive. They call immediately. We have the app as well on our Apple watches and our phones so it’s all easy. They could be a little faster on the Apple watch though, but that’s probably just because the phone is not close enough, otherwise it works fine. We’ve actually set the alarm away from the house several times.

We get basic features for $44 a month, and for the amount of security that we get, the price is unbeatable. The system's quality is definitely better than the cost compared to some of the other services and companies as well. The features that our Frontpoint system has are good for what we needed it for and gives extra peace of mind for us especially that we just had a baby nine months ago. And the customer service is a plus. So I would definitely recommend them.

I’m satisfied with my Frontpoint system. It was fairly easy and not complicated to install. The instructions are written on the eight-grader level, so any adult should be able to read it. The only thing is I just called to ask questions initially, and the next thing I knew, I was signing up with it. I wanted to compare Frontpoint to something else but when I called them, I felt like I gotta get it then. They said, “You’re not gonna be able to beat this price. You’re not gonna be able to beat this service.” I didn't like the pressure to purchase it before I had a chance to do research and comparison, so I thought I was rushed into doing it. Also, the system’s okay, but then I was over my head in the payment plan, so I got it reduced to what fits into my budget better.

I was walking one time, and I got a notice on my phone that there was some issue going on, so I rushed back. What happened was the motion detector had fallen off the wall in the great room. Also, the functionality of the system may need a little more work because I was pushing a button when I was gonna stay in the house for the night. It wasn’t until I called in that I found out that I was supposed to push it twice. I was pushing it once, and it said the windows and the doors were secured. Other than that, I have the system and it works and I feel secure with it.

My brother did some research online and he felt that Frontpoint was a better company. Set up was awesome and I only had to call one time. My brother set up the equipment for me and I'm really pleased with the system. I like that I can set it at night without the motions because I was concerned about that, and I love setting the doors and windows with no delay. I set it every morning before I go to work. It puts me at ease knowing that the house is empty and the cats can still run around and I don’t have to worry about them setting off the motion detectors. I always recommend Frontpoint. It's a no-brainer system, I feel very safe with it and the price is good.

We needed a new security system and somebody referred us to Frontpoint. We gave it a shot but the stickers aren’t good to mount stuff. That’s the only problem and that’s why I haven’t been using it much. My mounting is not adding up, so it’s hard. We gotta keep trying to adjust it to make it read from the door. But overall, my experience with Frontpoint has been good, and their reps have been nice.

I asked around to see if my relative or friends have any experience with security systems and to see which one they'd recommend. They recommended Frontpoint. I ordered the security system but then I had to be out of the country for three weeks. I had them ship the package two weeks before my vacation so I could have somebody help me set it up because it was my first security system. They sent the device and they tried to help but it was kinda late. It’s been a couple of days so I had to go on my vacation and I didn't set up the system.

When I got back, I called and scheduled to do the setup. And then I realized that when I ordered, they said that I needed four sensors in the house but that was not enough. I told Frontpoint about the situation and they told me I should have told them about that before. I explained to them that I had to go on a long three-week vacation. Also, they could look at their system and see that my alarm system was not installed yet. But I was told the policy was to tell them ahead of time. I said I didn't like it and I would just return it. I was told I could not return it because it was over the time limit. I got upset. After a month, I ordered two more sensors.

Another is I cannot set up the garage sensor. There's nothing to show me how to do it. My husband passed away and nobody can help me. I'm not good with tech stuff. I'm not happy because Frontpoint said they cannot do anything. I was over the 30 days and that was it. If I had already installed the system and used it then waited for one month to call and complain about this and that then that's not fair. But the system is still brand-new. I called them two weeks after I activated the system. I misunderstood and thought they counted from the day I did the installation but they counted from the day they sent the box. So far, I get a notification right away every time the alarm is on. But I'm not gonna stay with Frontpoint. I can't wait for the end of the contract so I can I move on.

I am the Executive Director of Bakersfield Community Theatre and we were looking for something that was affordable for us. The local, standard, traditional retail providers of security systems in Bakersfield were very expensive. I stumbled across Frontpoint when I was doing some research online and it was not only much more affordable, but it was more secure than one of the other types of more traditional alarm service. I sent an inquiry late at night and I got a callback first thing the next morning from a representative who walked through with me some of my questions and how their system works. Then, I went to my board of directors and we talked about it. I came back a month later and we decided to purchase. Most of the representatives that I worked with were very helpful and knowledgeable and it was a good experience.

For the installation, we had one of our volunteers take care of everything and sometimes, he had some challenges. He was on the phone for hours and so, I'm still amused on his behalf whenever I hear that the set-up was so quick and all you have to do is follow the instructions. We had an atypical installation but he would not say that it was a snap to get the installation done. The initial installation went pretty well, but we ordered some additional sensors and they came with the wrong sensor number on them. So, it was pretty confusing for a while to add those into our system and know what they were, but we got that all worked out. The other board members and I like the remote access and the notification if someone inadvertently forget to set the alarm.

Frontpoint offered good pricing that was affordable compared to other providers, and I like their easy setup. It didn’t require a technician to go to my house or appointment. I called the setup team, and they walked me through that little setup, and it was very convenient. During the setup process with the sales team, they were very knowledgeable, helpful, and were very courteous. My experience with Frontpoint had been great.

Frontpoint's cost is good for what I'm using it for. The system has gone off when the hurricane came in. It was just an alert and they didn't call anybody else. Their response time was great. The first time that we forgot to disarm the alarm, we got a phone call saying, “Hey, is everything okay? We just got an alert, and we called you.” I forgot to turn it off. They didn’t call the police, but they called us first, and it was a very quick response time. I got the system for my wife. She was feeling unsafe because I work at night. And ever since we got the home alarm, she feels a lot better, and she's able to sleep now. She doesn’t wake up for any little sound or noises that she hears around the house. So, it's helped a lot.

We live in a transitioning neighborhood, so we wanted more security. Outside of the security system that our parents had when we were growing up, I've had ADT and another one of the big brands in the past. Then I read some reviews online that Frontpoint had good customer service, although everything else was pretty much equal with the other brands. Our dealings with the reps were simple. I called, signed up, and managed to get enough of the pieces that we needed. The rep walked me through everything easily and the setup was easy. I did the installation myself. The instructions were detailed and I had no difficulty with them. The only thing that we didn’t get upfront that we had to come back and get on the second day, which cost us a little more, was the digital screen versus the analog screen. When I first ordered the touchpad, they sent me the analog touchpad and we had to circle back and get the digital one.

We use the smartphone features all the time. They're pretty simple and we don’t have any trouble with them. It's great to be able to lock up away from the house because we forget to do it all the time. The cost versus the quality of the system seems on par. I would definitely tell people to make sure that they ask about the particular settings. I would also let them know that if they're going to go with a ring doorbell, that is gonna cost them extra outside of the Frontpoint family of accessories. But other than that, if it was somebody’s first security system, I would recommend Frontpoint.

We live in a neighborhood that’s not great, but is also not bad. We have two small children as well. We had a home security system with Avant, but they were kind of expensive and they never helped people. Their customer service was horrible. We then got Frontpoint. The system was very easy to install. I had instructions and they were very clear and to the point. I had a problem with something on my security system, and I couldn’t figure it out. So, when I called, a guy walked me through how to install the doorbell. He was really nice.

With my system's smartphone features, I like that I can set my alarm even when I’m not home. If I forget to set it, I can set it from away. I’d set it from the bed sometimes because I don’t feel like getting up to set it. The system's functionality and performance have been good. We were out shopping one time, and when the power went out, I got a message on my app saying, “Your power was out.” So, I was able to call the power company from there and see what was up. I have used the doorbell camera one time. I was away from home, and my mom rang my doorbell, and I was able to let her know that I wasn’t there. It was good to be able to talk to her through the doorbell. Also, the cost is good compared to what we get. It was a little steep the first time we purchased, but that was to get all the system. I haven’t needed to use them yet, which is a good thing but I feel like if I need to use them, they’ll be there. I would recommend Frontpoint to a friend.

I don’t see Frontpoint frequently in Oklahoma but it was always in the top three when I researched the top security companies online. I've had very positive interactions with their representatives. When I've had questions, they’ve had answers. We later got a doorbell camera and when it didn’t work, they took me through two or three processes to see if it would work. And it didn’t, so they mailed me another one. What I shipped back, they paid for and then they paid for sending me another one as well. What's more, the installation was very simple. We’re older, so technology is not our strongest area, but we were able to install it quickly. So far, we’re very happy with the features of the system.

When I started with Frontpoint, the equipment seemed cheap and the monthly was affordable. It’s $45 a month and it's like an insurance. It’s designed for you to pay a little for it each month to maybe save you really big a couple of times. I recognize that but now, I feel like it's overpriced. The salesman was very eager and helpful at that time though. Then everything was shipped to me. It was frustrating that I had to cut some doorways away to install the system though. I wish there was something that was more magnetized and could just go over the door. Other than that, the installation was easy. But beyond that, I don't feel like the experience has been easy. In fact, I was telling my coworker I was gonna cancel it today. I feel like the system has been more of a nuisance and that's partially because it hasn't had a situation where it saves me or where someone was gonna break in.

I was home last night but I wanted the alarm on and I set it for if I wasn't home. But then I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water. My alarm went off and it was my fault but I couldn't get it to stop. So Frontpoint called me and cancelled it internally but they couldn't cancel it at my house. They said someone would call me. I finally turned it off but I had to sit there. I couldn't move because there was a motion sensor on. Frontpoint called an hour later and I thought that just wasn't very helpful. On the other hand, the alarm went off when I was cooking once and they asked if I would want them to turn it off for a few hours. That's an awesome feature and I really like that. It was really helpful that one time. So there are good things too.

They are falling and I want to see if there is another way that I can fix it to the wall. Right now, I have it on a double tape sticker but sometimes, I need to use some Monkey Glue to attach it to the walls. I liked the whole system that Frontpoint offered and the customer service around it. So, I went with them. I like their system better that the one I used before because of the wireless connection. The other one I had was wired to the home, so Frontpoint's system is different. When I ordered it, they went through and gave me suggestions on what equipment I needed, so I didn’t overbuy. And any time I needed service or help on installation, they’d answered my question to make sure I was online. The installation instructions were pretty straightforward and I didn’t have any really major issues with it, but I did a lot of research on what I was gonna do before. So, it was easy to install.

So far, I'm happy with my purchase. The system is doing what I need it to do and it hasn’t given any issue, so it works exactly how I hoped it would. Also, I'm limited on using the smartphone app but it gives me the access that I need to turn the system on and off when I need it. So, the app has worked good for me. I know there are more options and I haven't really had the time to do it, partly because our home is being renovated and we haven't completely set the system up yet. But I'm looking forward to doing that once we get it all done here.

I was leaving for work for an extended period of time and my girlfriend was gonna be living at our house all by herself. We looked into ADT and into AT&T for our internet and home, but we liked Frontpoint the best. We liked the ease of installment for their equipment and their prices aren't outrageous. We pretty much compared everybody else's, so we knew our family friend had a good experience with Frontpoint, so we decided to go with them. It was super smooth with the rep and I on the phone, since I knew exactly what kind of monitors were needed, which doors and windows needed to be marked. It was a super easy 30 to 45-minute phone call to get everything set up, ordered and billed correctly.

I was out of town by the time the equipment got shipped to us. I just left the week prior and my girlfriend was able to set everything up by herself. She and her sister did it one day and everything has worked perfectly. Them doing it themselves without any help or a technician coming out to the house is awesome. We started off with a low grade one. We love the ease of it and it has been working perfectly fine. I only use my smartphone to arm and disarm it instead of using the monitor. I use it when I leave the house. I arm it from my car as I'm pulling out of the driveway.

We have a friend that is just getting settled into their new house and getting a Frontpoint is something they have thought about. He knows the same friend that referred us too. We told him that we loved the system. It's been perfect. My girlfriend said it gave her a ton of peace of mind. We told him what we pay a month and it's not outrageous. We also told him about the app and how easy it is to use, and they seem pretty interested. So, hopefully, we'll get a referral here within the next couple of months or so.

And I liked that whole idea. It seemed easy and simple. Plus it's well-priced. The features in the system are satisfactory and the quality is good. But I wish that the smoke and heat detectors looked a little better. They're a bit old-fashioned and bulky, compared to other products in their line, which seemed much more modern and sleek. That aside, everything else is great. I also use the app to turn the system on and off in the evenings and then in the mornings.

My experience with all of the reps has been fantastic as well. There was one issue at the very beginning where we had not ordered the smoke detector from the system because I was told that it integrates with the Nest products. I went to buy the Nest smoke and heat products only to find that they weren't, in fact, compatible. Then I had to return those and get the Frontpoint ones. Maybe the salesperson wasn’t that informed about what the system can or can't integrate with. And otherwise, everything has been really excellent.

It took way longer than what I was hoping. And every time I called, the guy just apologized and notified me when it was available. Other than that, everyone has been great.

I did the installation myself six months ago and it went well. It was very straightforward. The main box looks dated like it's from the early 2000s but it's easy to cycle through and it works fine. The quality of everything is pretty good but every now and again, their app doesn't work exactly how I want it to. But once I restart it, it works fine.

We have the system on the No Entry Delay every night and I'm worried that if one of the things were to fall off, it would trip the alarm and that would be a very loud noise. But other than that irrational fear, I'm happy with our system overall. My fiancée and I both work. I told Frontpoint's reps the type of home that I had and what my concerns were, and they made suggestions on what would probably work in that situation.

The installation process was straightforward once I figured it out. The box arrived and it was set up step one, step two, step three. I had some misunderstanding about how to install some of the door and window sensors and find them their location, but I got that figured out and got everything working. They gave me a feedback quickly as it was making connection with the device. The sensor and the unit on the counter were communicating appropriately. I use the smartphone features for activating and deactivating my system. It seems to be simple, and it gives a confirmation that it's either armed or unarmed. The system, overall, seems to work fine. I live out in the middle of nowhere, so if a fire starts and I need the fire system, nobody's gonna see or hear it. So, having an inside system like the one I got from Frontpoint that calls somebody to get out here is good. I started early with this new system because I wanted to try it out to make sure it was all I wanted and it really is. It works very well. Also, it was in the reviews to be one of the top alarm systems so I went with them.

Their sales reps weren’t pushy. They told us that if we wanted them, it'd be great. They said they were gonna send us the kit, told us how to put it together, and it was really easy. Their support system is more humane than the other one we talked to who were pushy to get you into a system so they can lock you in, get your money, then let you linger. Compared to that, Frontpoint's reps were very supportive and if they didn’t know the answer to a question, they'd find somebody who did. I also had problems with my previous system when I got brownouts and the system went down because it didn't have a battery backup. So, my house was wide open. But Frontpoint's system has a battery backup and it goes off of its own cellular line, where this other system I had went off of my internet.

When installing the Frontpoint system, the instructions tell you plug to it in, start it up, and put your codes. Then you go through and label the doors as to which sensor goes to which door, and you write it down so you know if that sensor is going off. For me, the installation was very easy and self-explanatory. Also, the control panel has buttons on it, which to me is better than a touch pad, but the quality is about the same across the board. They're all plastic.

Last night, we had an issue with my wood-burning stove. Instead of it exhausting through the pipe, it backed up and came into the house, which set the alarm off. It happened before when I was cooking bacon and I got a phone call at that time. But this time, I didn’t get any phone call. I kept setting the alarm off then the next thing I knew, I had the big red truck in front of my house. So, I wasn’t quite sure if Frontpoint changed their policy on a fire alarm. They just started sending out a truck for their own safety and liability. I had no problem with the fire department coming here though. I told them that if they wanna come in and take a look at it, they were more than welcome. They said that for the fire alarm system, they had to, so I let them in.

So far, I'm getting what I pay for with Frontpoint. There were times when I was too busy to stop at the system to alarm it, so when I got out the door and into my car while it was warming up, I went ahead and set it. I feel safer having Frontpoint and since having them, I don't have to have my protector out in the open. I have it hidden in my closet now.

Frontpoint told me that I was gonna have a completely wireless system including the camera and then when I got it, it wasn't. There was a 30-day trial period, but I didn't have a chance to set it up as I was busy and I have a baby. Then when I finally did, I had to plug it in. The point of me getting the system and go with them was because it was wireless, and it was only wireless with the internet which didn't help me. I was also going with them because they had that camera. They said that I could return the camera, but if I wanted to cancel the contract, I gotta pay for three years upfront which was $1,000.

This three-year contract thing is crazy. I said that I didn't remember them telling me about it. When I talked to the sales rep, they said that the conversation was recorded. I asked them to pull up and play the recording and let me listen if I made a mistake about them telling me. They said they couldn't do that. I asked where the recording was and they said that they didn't know, but they recorded it. It wasn't a very good experience.

Frontpoint is rated number one for products and customer service. During the initial sales, I got a really good deal to sign up for the product. However, I hated the installation. I didn’t like that I didn’t have an option of somebody installing it. With some of the connections, I had to drill a hole in my wall to get the wires through so the wires wouldn’t show for the control panel. I had issues with the garage controller and had to call tech service several times for that, and I had to actually get a replacement. It was a long process and I would’ve rather just paid somebody to come and install it all. Also, I got electrocuted trying to install something. Nonetheless, I like the cameras, being able to monitor my house and being able to access everything through my phone. It’s a great quality product for the amount that you’re paying.

Burglary is horrible and break-ins are everywhere. I looked at ADT and the top four home security providers but ADT lied to me and that put them out the door. I was also looking at getting another company's service, but they didn't do the things they told me they were gonna do. Then, I read online that Frontpoint's system was not the best but their customer service was superior to everybody else's. But I was looking at others because I wanted a more high-tech security system and they had a lot more to offer than Frontpoint did in reference to tech and being able to add to the system. But when it boiled down to it, if they couldn't perform and they couldn't take care of me, it didn't matter how high-tech their system was.

So, I went with Frontpoint. Their customer service guy was really good. He called me back and everything we talked about was exactly the way it was. So, it was almost like having a handshake over the phone. And his word was honest, where everybody else's was manipulation, changing stuff, and trying to pull a magic trick, then I pay for it. When I installed the system. I downloaded the instructions on my phone and I just followed the checklist. The instructions were easy for everybody and the installation was very simple. Some women have problems with certain things, but in general, the directions weren't hard for anybody and were pretty basic.

With Frontpoint, you gotta pay upfront more for the system, but the overall system's cheaper than the other systems. The monitoring was about $10 higher a month than I was willing to pay, but it gives me peace of mind. The system's features are also good. I like that you can push a button and the fire or police departments are notified. So there are emergency buttons, which are interesting, but I don't use those and I set the alarm quite often. It's fundamental and it's what I need. Plus, I can use my cellphone to turn it on and off when I leave the house. I've had problems with the smartphone features but it's more an issue on my cellphone than it is the Frontpoint system. Sometimes I have to reboot my cellphone to get it to set the alarm. Other than that, it's a good system.

We're new to the US and we don't know what the area we live in is like so it's good to have an alarm. I looked at available options and chose Frontpoint as they seemed to be rated higher than most. The cost was also pretty much on point with the other ones in the market. There were a couple of cheaper ones, but they have the worst review.

Installing the system was pretty easy. I did it on the app on my phone and just followed the instructions that came up, and everything worked. You can use the app to arm and disarm the system. It's also handy to have the thing that tells you when the door opens and closes because we’ve got young children. So, if they're trying to open a door when they're not in our sight, I would know straight away. Compared to a keypad that you'd have to move around with you, the app is easier to have because you've always got your phone with you.

It would be good to have a panic button on the app, though, because if somebody came in the house and the door would open and then the app would know that the alarm would go off. With the panic button, if I were upstairs and I heard somebody coming downstairs, I have something to press to set the alarm off if they managed to get by it. Apart from that, their app works really well and it does what it's supposed to do.

I didn’t feel like they were overselling me like some vendors do. My only issue was I've been shipped an older style control pad. They were on backorder from the vendor for the touchscreens. But they rectified it. Once the new ones came in, they sent me a touchpad. The system is user-friendly and it works for what we have. I definitely have an increase sense of security. Most of the other vendors could learn a lot from the way Frontpoint does things.

Frontpoint was comprehensive and they didn't have any contracts. The reps were also super friendly on the phone. I had interactions with them during the initial call and set up and I called again when I received the actual hardware to get it installed. The rep that I talked to was very patient and lovely and as far as the installation of the system, it was super straightforward. However, I would like to have our outdoor area looked at. They told us that our system is just for someone breaking into our house -- breaking the window or breaking the door -- which is extreme. What has happened was just petty stuff from the cars parked in the driveway and I wouldn’t mind having something associated with Frontpoint that also did that. If somebody were breaking into the truck at 3:00 AM, they couldn’t alert me, which is fine, but I would like to at least have a video. If they had that, that would be awesome.

I love that the equipment beeps when the doors open or close even when we have it disarmed. I have three kids, so I can always tell who is coming in or out. It’s so great and I love it. I’d be even happier, though, if they had the additional feature of the outdoor surveillance because I’m happy to pay the monthly fee, but for what we have, the cost is fine and I’m okay with it. It’s worth every cent if the system could stop the break-in from happening or catch the perpetrator.

Our warehouse for our business got broken into and so we decided to purchase a security system and got one from Frontpoint. Everything's been positive with the people that I've dealt with. The self-installation of our system was simple. I had a couple of questions, but I called in, and they helped me over the phone, so, it was all good. Our system's features are good for what we need it for.

The system is effective to a certain degree. There are some weaknesses that are involved in it, so it's possible that someone would get in through an opening somewhere that didn’t have one of the overhead door detectors. For instance, on the back of our building, we have a hole in the building where a window air unit sits. So, if someone were to push that out somehow and get in the building, then they could easily travel underneath the motion detectors and do whatever they wanted to in the building without really being detected. So, the system is good for us as far as monitoring if people are coming in.

If by some miracle, someone got in undetected, then, it would be very easy for them to remain undetected mainly because the system only picks you up at certain angles. It only shoots up so many degrees. There was a dog that somehow got trapped in our warehouse that we didn’t know about. While we were working, he snuck in. We locked the warehouse up. We left. He was in there for a full day and not one motion detector ever went off because he went underneath them all day. And he was a decent-sized dog. He's at least two-foot tall. So, he ran loose at that warehouse the whole day, all night and we never got an alarm. Now, alarms had went off and we've been contacted by Frontpoint before for different things. We got motion detection, but it kinda concerned me that I knew that a large animal was in our building, and there was no detection made.

We tend to travel a lot and we purchased a home security system since it was decided that it was good to have a little oversight of the house when we are gone. We then went with Frontpoint. They asked questions on the purchase time about how many rooms and how many doors, of which I answered and I got the appropriate stuff for that. I ended up buying an additional motion sensor 'cause I realized that there was a section in my house that wasn't being covered. It would also be nice to have a readout of the temperature inside the house, so we could monitor that one when we are away.

I had one question in the installation, so I called a support number and that was very painless and quick. Other than that, the installation was very easy and straightforward to do. The instructions were good, too. I like their smartphone features and we use it regularly to arm and disarm the system. There was one time when I forgot the system was armed when I came through the garage and I got a call right away. I was able to give the passcode and clear things up. So, that seemed to be very prompt and effective.

Frontpoint is at the upper end of the price range compared to other companies, and that is definitely a downside. That didn't prevent us from buying it, but it was definitely a consideration. But, other than that, we got what we expected in having a security system. We feel that if someone broke in, it would be detected and the appropriate authorities would be called.

I did an internet search and ended up with Frontpoint. During the sale, it had been fairly straightforward. I called, ordered the appropriate components for the system. Then I had to make sure that it would be shipped within the amount of time that I had available. The representatives have been very effective when I’ve had to contact them. I have had a couple of email questions and they’ve been answered promptly.

During the installation, I opened the box as I followed the directions. My chief challenge is that I don’t have a smartphone. So, I was working with my laptop computer that was a little bit more difficult. I had to get in touch with customer service at that point to make sure that everything was set up, and we were able to do that over the phone. The quality of the equipment is good and right now, the system is basically there just to warn me of disaster because that house is currently unoccupied.

Frontpoint's customer service has been outstanding. In fact, I initially went with them because when I called them, they had a great response. But I had an issue when they were calling my secondary phone number before calling my primary phone number. The secondary phone number was my friend and they were rude to her. They kept telling her that she needed to call me but she said that they should just call me, I was on the other line with her, and that she knew that they hadn't called me yet. Then, Frontpoint took the secondary phone number off of my account because no one could figure that one out, so would they finally stop calling my friend. But now, I don’t know what will happen if the alarm goes off.

Also, when I had a friend in town who went out of the house, the alarm went off for almost a minute and I couldn’t find my phone to shut it off. I got an email about it but nobody called and that got me a little concerned. Other than that, Frontpoint's product was easy to install and the reps who set it up were great. I had some issues at first, but I got more equipment and everything was fixed. The hardware works properly, too, and the necklace that was given to me was free of charge. I keep it at the top of my closet so I know if I don’t have my phone in the room and something happens, I can push the button. Even that alone is amazing.

I recently moved up to Orlando and being in a new area, I wanna have a little sense of security and that confidence that my family has that extra level of security. I liked Frontpoint's customer service and the fact that they offered a state-of-the art technology which is constantly being monitored and updated. So I went with them and so far, my experience with them has been great. Their system involves a a do-it-yourself kind of installation and as long as you read the instructions ahead of time before you start doing the installation, they were clear as day. I'm a millennial, so for me they were perfect. I knew how to install the equipment but I had hiccup with the glass break sensor. I set it off and I didn’t know that if I set it off, I had to call it in so that way they could turn off the sensor or they would show me how to do it on my app, which at the that time, I didn’t download the app.

So I called Frontpoint for assistance and they got superb customer service. Initially, I thought that I was gonna wait for the next 30 to 45 minutes. But I was helped out within the first 10 minutes and their reps were very nice and polite. They made sure that everything was up and they stayed on the line until everything was running.

With Frontpoint, I have exactly what I need to protect my house. I'm able to remotely turn the system on and off using the smartphone app, and it's quick and responsive. That was one of the reasons why I wanted Frontpoint. I know that other corporations have that, too, but Frontpoint's app is user-friendly and if I forget to arm it, I could just open up the app and turn it on within 5 to 10 seconds with my fingerprint. Through my iPhone, the first thing that opens up is a question asking if I wanna arm or disarm the system. Then, everything else I can look and play around with it. I was thinking about doing the doorbells as well but I don't know if Frontpoint has that. There's also a problem with my walk-in as the doorbell is on the side. It's not directly under the door.

Other than that, the system has been working well. The other day, my wife unplugged the system and I immediately got an alert that “the power went out and that it went on the battery setting.” I would also highly recommend Frontpoint. But they are a little pricey. We're talking about $45 where there's a lot of competition out there that is offering the system for a lot cheaper.

I come from a sales industry and I know that you can put quality with price to a certain extent. But with Frontpoint, $30 to $35 would be better because other companies even give out the equipment for free, whereas, I purchased this equipment from Frontpoint. I have also recommended them to some relatives and friends, and they didn’t go with Frontpoint because their monthly price was almost $15 to $20 more expensive than the nearest competition. So when my contract is over, I would see if there's something better. Hopefully by that time, Frontpoint has adjusted their price based on the competition.

They didn’t send me any information on how to install it or how this whole thing works, which should have been done before I even ordered it. Also I don’t find a real good place to just go in and see what are the different sensors available for my product. For a guy like me that’s technically-oriented, I would like to know a little bit about it. If I'm putting it up, I'd like to know what it does and its specs and they don’t give that.

People are nice and it works, but as far as getting information on it, until you order it, you don’t have anything. The information that they give out to the general public is very poor. I also liked the fact that everything was wireless and I didn’t have to get a landline like I had to with ADT, and that was a big factor. So far, I've been quite satisfied with the service I got from Frontpoint's reps and that’s why I didn’t return the products back to them. They gave me a pretty good trial period as well. With my previous home, I tried using ADT and I wasn’t happy with the way they treated me and the hidden clauses in their contract. But I didn’t have that issue with Frontpoint, so I'm very happy with them.

When I installed the system, the sensors were new to me so I called customer service. They walked me through and told me how to do it. It was very simple to install and if you're the person who likes to reads stuff, the instructions would be quite sufficient. But if you're someone like me who doesn’t like to read, then you're better off calling them. All the features that the package currently offers are the features that I would require, but if there are a couple of free items that they could toss in, that would be really great, especially for someone who buys a bunch of sensors. As of the moment, I haven't taken the highest level of protection from them because I don’t want it as of now. I'll probably think about that in the future though.

Other than that, the system's quality is excellent and it works well. The smartphone feature is easy to use, too. In fact, a little while ago, my wife and I had gone out on a vacation and we forgot to alarm the house but we were able to do it on our phone. I was told they would reimburse me whatever the difference was with the exchange rate every month, and that never happened. But when I called and complained, they were good about it. The rep said that was not how it worked, but he set a cheaper rate up for me and took off 15 bucks a month from what the price was. In the long run, that worked out great.

I picked the equipment that I wanted and they mailed it to me, and I liked that instead of having someone come to my house to deliver it. In contrast, when I called other companies, it was a hassle to set up appointments. The installation was great. I had one little issue, though, but it was due to my not reading the instructions properly in programming the screen pad. The equipment was easy to set up and doing that took 20 minutes.

I had never lived alone before, and I live in an area of town that isn’t often zoned as the safest part so I decided that while I wasn’t home, it would be best to start with having a security system installed. I did some research and Frontpoint came up as really well-rated. Also, the crash and smash feature on this system which does not allow people enough time before a signal is sent to smash the system once entering the home was an ideal selling point for me. I notified them and the rep that called was very pleasant, easy to speak to and understandable. She communicated clearly about the benefits of Frontpoint and her own personal experience with it. It was pretty simple and straightforward.

My dad and I did the installation in 15 minutes and it was very easy to follow. I really love the app. When I leave in the morning, I change one of the arming because the dog is in the house. I love that I have it set up and I can do it when I leave the house in the morning. I can leave the house and get out to my car, and when I’m sitting at the first stop light, I'll usually remember and arm the house. I also love that the app is real time and I get notifications. If my parents say, “Hey, we’re gonna go pick up your dog,” they can get into the house. I know right where they’re in the house and when they leave. Overall the cost is well-balanced between what you’re getting and what you’re paying for. My parents weren't able to use their phone and have an app for their system without it being an extra cost, and the fact that it was included in Frontpoint's service has been encouraging and helpful. I would definitely encourage others to go for them.

I had a manual one for a few months sent to me until they got restocked with the touchscreen one. Both are trash. You don't get anything from this home security and you stuck with a contract for 3 years at least. Customer service trying to do something but they're very limited to what they can offer. I’m a licensed electrician and the system was pretty easy to put online. My experience with their sales reps was also good.

I purchased a home that had already come with Frontpoint. I spoke to someone during setup, and then they helped out fine. The installation was easy and was done in 15 minutes. It came with a few items that you guys offered, but I had to order some additional sensors and whatnot. Then, I spoke to another individual about canceling a service or doing something else where I wanted to save on some bills, but they had let me know that that was not gonna happen with the contract.

However, I do not use the smartphone features because I had learned that it was gonna be additional money a month. The only thing that I do not like is that in my package, I would still add that. I used it at first, and they had an offer where I was able to go on my phone, but that offer went away and then they wanted me to pay more, and I was not going to. Nevertheless, I liked the app a lot. The system is more for my fiancé because she would stay at home, and I'm sure she feels a lot more secure having that. The system works perfectly fine, and I'd recommend it. It is a less expensive upside of it and it does the job.

When we pulled up to our place the first day, we saw somebody walking around, trying the door handles of cars. We thought that a security system was definitely necessary. Frontpoint was one of the more affordable home security systems that actually have a functional equipment. Dealing with their reps was an enjoyable experience. I didn’t feel pressured at all to get the system. They also worked with me to find a price that works for myself and allowed me to take advantage of a one-year contract versus a three-year contract, which was extremely nice considering I’m only gonna be in this area for about a year.

The installation went okay. It was not the easiest but definitely not hard to grasp. Some of the stuff on the internet wasn’t necessarily working though. Plus, I wasn’t sure if the package was supposed to come with attachments, but we had to go out and buy some adhesives. The devices themselves work though. I love the fact that every time you open the doors that are equipped with sensors, the home station beeps and goes off so we know when people are coming in and out of our apartment. Our front door is down the stairs from our living room so we can’t see it and the system is more of a peace of mind thing. We're also able to lock in and secure the apartment at night, which has been a big help and a nice assurance. I live with one other roommate and if he’s out of town, then it’s nice to be able to lock everything up.

The smartphone feature is a great aspect of the system. I like the push notifications and being able to lock the apartment when I’m not even there. The smartphone features take advantage over the camera features by a lot. The camera features aren’t as used as I thought they would be. At first, I was under the impression that it was a continuous monitoring with these cameras. There are times when we wish that we weren't under contract, just because we haven’t really used the monthly monitoring at all.

There was a point in time where we had the equipment, but our Wi-Fi provider didn’t set the Wi-Fi up until Sunday even though we got it Monday. During that time span, a moped of ours was stolen from the back where we would have had a camera directly working at it. Having a moped was a big reason why we had one of the cameras out there.

The quality of the equipment is fantastic. It’s easy to use and the home box, where you put in your password, is heavy. I appreciate the attention to detail that Frontpoint puts into its products, but seeing where I am now and having lived here for four months, I'd tell others to at least consider something that’s not under contract. All in all though, working with Frontpoint has been a fantastic experience. The service is great and we've enjoyed it a lot. It brings reassurance and peace of mind.

I did some internet research and came up with Frontpoint as I like their reliability and cost. The reps explained well the package that I was trying to get or what I needed and what I had available. Where I live is very rural so I couldn't do the video because I don't have internet service. They sent me a box and I installed it. The app that they had on the install was frustrating and it wasn't intuitive. Just like right now, it's not intuitive for me to add another sensor of some sort. I gotta call Frontpoint and they could do that for me.

I also got a movement sensor out in my workshop that's within the range but it goes offline quite a bit and it bothers me. I have been told that my signal is potentially being attenuated because it's a metal building and there is some truth to that, but it should be fine. I've got windows in the building so it's not the complete fault of any kind. I was told that mounting the sensor on a metal pole was not a good idea and so I'm gonna put it on a wooden structure inside my barn. So far, so good. I'm quite a distance away from my home, where I work, so it's nice to have the Frontpoint system.

I have a son that sleepwalks and he's been known to exit the house. The neighbors had some break-ins, too, and I wanted the peace of mind. Since Frontpoint seemed like they were a good company, I went with them. I also liked the reviews I read about them, their response time, and price point. When I got the box, I opened it up and took the little tags out of the sensors so the battery would get activated. There was some adhesive tape on them and I just stuck them to wherever I was gonna mount them. The system was easy to set up and when you connect the main motherboard or plug the control panel in, you could walk through the initial set-up and name each of the sensors for the front door, back door, as well as the garage door, and it works from there. You could change the chimes like a cellphone, too.

When I talked with their reps over the phone, they were friendly and helpful, plus they answered all my questions. It also seemed like their service was fairly quick as far as the shipping time from when I ordered to them sending me the stuff out. It's been easy to pay for the warranty every month as well with the auto-pay. I like the smartphone features, too. It's convenient. I had a false alarm go off the other day and I was able to turn it off from being at work. I also have the ring doorbell and that seems to work well, too. But the quality of the system is comparable to anything else that you can find on Amazon. They're all pretty much the same.

Also, the initial package includes three door sensors and a glass break sensor, but if there were more sensors offered in the bundle for the same price, that’d be better. In fact, you could buy double or triple the sensors for half the cost elsewhere. Knowing that there are other options out there, I wouldn’t recommend Frontpoint. And after the three years are up, I'm gonna buy an unmonitored system through Amazon where I'd get 10 sensors for $300 and there's no monthly cost. After six to eight months, it kinda pays for itself as opposed to an ongoing payment for three years and just having a few sensors. So, I'm making use of the sensors I have right now because each additional glass break sensor costs anywhere from $35 to $70, depending on what type of sensor you get. And if I had to do it again, I would choose something else that’s unmonitored that I could see from phone as well as the camera.

The other thing Frontpoint could improve is not starting with a three-year contract. With them, you're kinda locked in to spending $35 a month for three years and if you wanna bail out after a year, there's a hefty penalty. I called last week about wanting to bail out and they said I'd have to pay over $1,000. Having a month-to-month contract would be much better.

The only thing I had an issue with was for the main device. It sits here in my dining room. The support had to come online to get an issue because my device wasn’t recognizing the front door and back door. Also, the two-sided tape that comes with the system fell off my back door, and the same thing happened in the other house. It was not brushing up against anything. The action of the door itself loosened the tape. Still, I like the fact that the system goes with my iPhone because right now, I’m controlling my own system and my mother-in-law’s house. I was moving to a new home so I decided to purchase a home security system. My sons are using Frontpoint so I went with them too. The Frontpoint reps that I dealt with were courteous, thoughtful and very helpful. The installation was easy although I had some issues with the garage door sensor and it triggered the alarm to go off. It just kept beeping but it didn't set the alarm off loudly. So, we ended up getting charged a $150 and we were in the house at that time. I had accidentally set off the alarm before and it was really loud. I really don't believe that I slept through that, but apparently we did.

Furthermore. the features don't work all the time. We have activated the alarm remotely with the app and it doesn't activate it. Sometimes it triggers when one left the house and we didn't arm the alarm. It should only trigger when both phones have left the house and we don't arm the alarm. I know the other phone is at home because the other person's at home. It happened consistently.

Nevertheless, their cost is comparable to other security systems. We're at a safe neighborhood and all of the security systems are wholly dependent on us being good about locking the doors and activating the system. Everything is useless if you don't use it. Despite the problems, when I have called customer service, they tried to figure out why I owed the city a $150. They were very helpful in telling me when the alarm has been set off and when the police have been called to come out.

Security is important to our family. I usually go with the big guys, but I’m not a fan of not owning your equipment and the weird stuff that goes along with it. I’ve tried ADT and Central Security before, but both of them were way too expensive, so I switched. I found Frontpoint and since I'm a DIY guy, putting the home security system together would be a cool experience. I also like hooking things up to my automation system, which I could do with them. The first rep who set me up was a really good guy and was very thorough. He explained everything and then gave me a great deal. The sign-up process was very easy too.

The installation of the system was super easy. It was similar to the IKEA furniture when I create it in the sense that it was very detailed and very easy to follow. Everything was numbered and was a process. I also liked being in control of when and how I install it versus having to wait for the installers to be here which could take up my whole day.

I love the features that are offered with our system including the glass break, the whole monitoring element of it, and how it interacts with my system. I’m feeling a little safer with that. With other security systems, the glass break would have to specifically be on every single window. I have a lot of windows and with this one, in relation to where my glass break sensor is to the other windows, it can almost share it. So, I’m cutting the cost, but I still feel incredibly safe because of that element. Majority of the time, thieves are not looking at the door, they are looking at windows and different areas that they can go and smash to get in and get out. But with this, I have the monitoring on it. If the thieves come in, the sensor will hear it, the alarm will go off and we will be notified.

The smartphone features are good, as well. I like how they are with Alarm.com. It’s a very authoritative system whenever it comes to home protection and it hasn’t failed yet. Then, any time I’ve had something go wrong with the features, Frontpoint has been very quick to call, so I am highly satisfied with their product and customer service. Also, the cost is amazing. I had a set up costing about $300 before just to get all the stuff sent to me. With Frontpoint, it's a $42-a-month cost and it’s easy to add on.

Overall, Frontpoint is great. I’ve recommended them to a couple of different people already because of the cost and the easy installation, and they send everything to you. I wish they will keep doing what they are doing. They should also keep innovating, making new products, and sending the emails with new things that they are doing with the sales. They should keep doing integrations with automation too. If they stay with that, they’re gonna have a lot of very happy customers like myself.

It's upstairs and when the alarm goes off, I cannot hear the sound even though it's on the highest volume. I cannot recommend Frontpoint to anyone.

I was relocating and when I did a price comparison between my former provider, ADT, and Frontpoint and the services I needed, Frontpoint had a better deal. They're pretty much on par with each other but Frontpoint has a couple of additional internet interconnected things that make it handy as far as using the mobile app. The installation of the system was relatively straightforward. There were some of the double-back tapes for the motion sensor that was not as reliable. It came off after a while. I had to call their reps and I had to replace that with some store-bought stuff. But as far as that goes, that's not a big deal. Also, I have everything that I need with the features. I have door sensors, the window sensors, and one motion sensor. If other people's needs are similar to mine, I would tell them that Frontpoint, dollar-for-dollar, has the better deal at this time.

I had called around at other places and Frontpoint had the best customer service and price. The first time that I called when we were pricing around, I spoke to one of the managers and he was very helpful. Also, we've been pretty satisfied with the features. But we had issues with the camera in our front yard and their rep tried to talk my husband through it. Sometimes the camera would pick up things that it probably shouldn't, like a bug flying in front of it or a car's headlight. Then it would record and we would use up our recording. But I believe it was my husband. He did the installation and he's not really mechanically inclined when it comes to certain things. Other than that, I feel better since having Frontpoint.

My daughter's house was broken into twice. It is across town from where we live, but it made us think that it could happen to us, too. My husband researched on the internet and Frontpoint had a good rating. Also, you can buy the equipment from them and set it up yourself. My daughter has ADT and the cost was a lot more if you have them come and set everything up. Vivint was also over here and we almost bought a system from them, but we didn't buy it at the end because there was a hidden charge which was more than what they said. So it was more cost-effective for us to go with Frointpoint. I had to tell their sales rep how many monitors I wanted and it was a pretty straight-up interaction. Then, my husband did everything over the phone with them when we set up the system. The installation was easy and my husband is really good at electronic things anyway, so it was not a big deal.

One time, when I accidentally walked out in my front door to get my mail, I forgot I had left the alarm system on, and when I came back in the alarm was going off. I was so surprised because it was so loud and I'd never heard it before. So, I raced over and put the code in, but then my phone rang and it was Frontpoint. And the girl talked to me so fast over the phone that I couldn't even understand what she said. But I told her what happened then she wanted my password, which I couldn't remember though I remembered where I had written it down. So it seems like the system works and we were satisfied with our experience.

Everything has been good with Frontpoint, although there are some practices they do that are not ethical and the way that they do billing is not truthful. I got two calls in a row saying that our card had been declined and that they needed payment immediately, although it was their fault. The first impression that it gave us was that the card got stolen. I spoke to their main office about that because that is not how you try to get people on the phone. That was lying. Other than that, we are satisfied and happy with Frontpoint. We had them before and the self-installation of the system made me go with them. I did our old house and our new house right now. We are fine with all the features in the system too.

We got a lot more from Frontpoint than what we were getting from our other provider. We also liked Frontpoint's options and price. We have a WaterBUG for our sump pump and the front doorbell camera, which we didn’t have before. However, our doorbell camera’s not working all the time and we need to get an extender on our Wi-Fi service. As far as the installation experience, they sent us the stuff and specific instructions and we did it, and it was easy. The smart features are great. I like being able to have access from my phone and to be able to do anything at any time. The rep at Frontpoint was wonderful. He even gave us a little time to think about it. He called back and asked a few more questions. He wasn’t pushy and he answered the questions.

Our sense of security got better since having Frontpoint. We didn’t have a doorbell camera before, but now, we have cameras in and out. It is nice that we can monitor the inside and outside of the house. I love being able to answer my doorbell without having to answer my door and I just talk through my phone. We’ve told a lot of people who we went with and we have friends that are getting ready to run out of their contract. They are gonna call Frontpoint when they are done.

We work away from home for extended periods of time, so I needed something at home. It was very quick with Frontpoint's sales team. I had everything set up within 45 minutes and everything was shipped to my house in less than a week. My husband set it up. Usually, he would call me and ask me how to do this, but he did it all by himself and it was done. I have the basic features and it’s well more than what I need. It's a great cost compared to other services out there and I enjoy the features. When we’re out of town, if anything happens, we get a call ASAP and the customer service is very nice. We were out of town for a week or so and our garage door would open when the air conditioning kicks on and off. And we have other things around it that would go off if somebody would actually be able to come in the house. But they were able to turn that one little thing off so we wouldn’t have to keep getting notifications and they weren’t either.

It’s very efficient and very beneficial. If the electricity goes out, I have a notification. And I know if anybody’s trying to come in the house or enter the property. Also, I use the smartphone features and I can turn the system on and off with that. Sometimes, my youngest will come home and he doesn’t really remember the code and he would call me to turn it off. I would tell others to get Frontpoint. It’s a very good service and very good quality and the best thing is their customer service.

When I called him, he sent everything to my house. He was completely open and honest. I originally asked for cameras and he told me that they were extremely high priced. He wasn't trying to rip me off. But I couldn't believe that I had to the installation. It would have been a lot easier if someone else just came in and did the installation. It would be nice to know that a professional put it in your house, so that if you did something that was incorrect, you would at least know that you were safe.

One time, the system started going off, and I thought the people were totally rude. I told them that I unplugged the system to get behind where it's at to clean it because it was getting dusty. I re-plugged it back in, it went off, and the cops showed up. I still don't know my password, so when it happens again, it'll happen again. Also, Frontpoint never sent a sign for our front yard. But the system gives us peace of mind, and it's reasonably priced.

Their customer service also helped with setting up and they called back to help walk us through how to use the machine. I had a motion detector out in my pole barn, but it was too far away and it wouldn't ever stay online, so we came up with the long range door sensor. We have changed it and there had been no problems.

The installation of the system was very simple and the instructions were good. The features are easy to use and the quality of the system as well as the cost are good so far. I usually arm and disarm the system from the phone and it has been functioning fine. I can get on my phone and look to see if there has been any traffic, or any sensors on or off, or if anybody had left the door or a window open. I really like Frontpoint and I would tell others to get their system by all means.

I had ADT for a few years and they suddenly raised their prices so much. It was ridiculous. I had already known for a couple of years that there were less expensive places that were just as good if not better. So, I started searching around and I found Frontpoint online. I looked into it and the more I did, the more I thought, "Okay, let's do it." So, I switched over. I had to go around and redo all the attachments with the doors and that wasn't too bad. But I was a little surprised that I didn't get many warning stickers for windows or anything but that was okay. I don't have that many windows and doors.

It took me a little while with the installation because I'm elderly and it took me a while to get around, but I got it done. Also, it took me a little while to get used it. But each time I changed any application, then it was easier for me to do the next one. By the time I was done, I thought it was no big deal. The phone service is an excellent thing, too. When I started getting into it and learning more about it, the people I talked to were all very helpful. I had a couple of problems with the installation and I called them up and they quickly told me what to do and how to do it. It was easy talking to them and their descriptions. That was very good and impressive.

The one thing I keep noticing is that with ADT, the alarm box would ring a bell or a buzzer and it would tell me which door it was that had opened. And so, by the sound, my ears would go up and I would hear what door it was that was open. Whereas, with Frontpoint's system, it declares what door it is and then it gives the sound. So, oftentimes, if I'm busy, I don't quite catch what door it is that just opened, but I know that it did because I heard a sound. I suggest they switch the sound to attract your attention and then tell you what it is that's being opened. But if anybody asked me, I would sure recommend Frontpoint because if they want a do-it-yourself installation, Frontpoint's is pretty simple.

We had ADT as a previous security provider and we switched over to Frontpoint. Their price points are similar but I got a good discount from the initial deal when I ordered Frontpoint's equipment. Frontpoint is competitive price-wise, and their mobile option is ahead of ADT's. The landline was a big problem then, but with Frontpoint, I don't have to have a landline anymore in order to use their services.

The Frontpoint system was easy to assemble. The packaging itself walked me through the installation very well. The instructions were easy to follow and although I had to call a couple of times, someone was available right away and was very helpful over the phone. The smartphone features make it easier for me and my family to turn the system off and on and see activities. But the system's control box is extremely clunky and big, and I had to get an electrician to come in and install it, drop the AC adaptor through the wall, and then patch it a bit. It isn’t the sleekest looking box and that is probably where Frontpoint can upgrade a bit. I also would have liked to get more window sensors with the initial bundle or possibly a deal on the outdoor camera. It’s a good thing that no one breaks into the house but one can’t really tell from the monitoring standpoint. Still, for the most part, the Frontpoint system has been good and it functions well.

Getting a home security system was something that has been running around at the back of my mind for a while. We had ADT come and install a system, but we were very unhappy with the results and had it removed right before we had Frontpoint come in. The interactions I've had with the Frontpoint reps were done on the phone and they've been great. Any questions we've had and any additions we've made, they walked us right through the process and they stayed right on the phone until it was up and running. I've been very happy with them. My husband did the installation, but we called a couple of times to get things finalized because they could take us to a certain step in the installation, then we had to install something, and then we could call them back and go to the next step. We spent an afternoon getting the system installed and the customer support that was provided helped us get the installation complete.

Frontpoint is acres and acres better in terms of service and reliability compared to the previous system installed. We got everything we had hoped for. It's cool to be at work and be able to look on my phone to see what's going on in the house. If the cats had been in trouble, now I know who did it. We want to be able to see our home on the cell phone or check it before we get home and Frontpoint will turn the feature on after we've left. I'm also impressed with the equipment because we don't open the door here without the system knowing it, which is nice. Even if I am at home by myself and somebody opened the door, I hear the beep. It's also nice to have that security to know that if I forgot to lock the door when I got in the house, it's gonna beep and let us know somebody's coming.

The smartphone features have also been functioning very well. I've not had a time that there was any interruption with the service. I'm very pleased with the cost as well. I've talked to a lot of different people that I've worked with that have had systems installed and they are paying significantly more money, but they are not getting anything more than we are getting. I referred two people to Frontpoint because of my experience with them. Knowing the system is there makes a big difference. I know that the system is okay when I'm walking and it beeps. There is the sense of calmness that I'm not worried when I'm at home. Even when I'm not at home, I'm not worried so much because something's gonna go off and if that doesn't scare someone off, it's gonna at least alert them to somebody who pays attention.

I was also very impressed with the customer service reps of Frontpoint, because, initially, we had to upgrade our Wi-Fi because the system wasn't strong enough for the video feed. The reps stayed on the phone with us while we did all kinds of tests, and I was surprised. They must have spent two hours on the phone with us trying to get this figured out why it wasn't feeding like they thought it should be. At our end, we were getting frustrated it wasn't working, but on their end, they were calm and kept walking us through everything. That was impressive because we don't often see that service level anymore.

We used to have LiveWatch before and we switched over to Frontpoint. We used the exact same equipment as we did with LiveWatch, and Frontpoint showed us how to use it, so it was great for us. They took the time to talk to us about how to set everything up, the best way to use it, how to dive into the system, and make changes. It was a hands-on customer experience. I was impressed.

We added a couple more units of sensors, and Frontpoint helped us get that switched over to the new touchscreen monitor. We have a camera and they helped us set up different settings on it that we thought we had, but we didn't know how to set it up and LiveWatch never walked us through it. The Frontpoint system fits into our budget, and it's comforting for us to have a camera and be able to watch it from outside of the home if it gets triggered for any reason. If we’re gone for the weekend, the sensor goes off and says we’ve got motion or whatever going on in front of our house. We love the app. It's nice that we can just pop the app open and take a look at what’s going on, and make sure it’s not something that we should be concerned about. For the price of the system, we're satisfied with Frontpoint. I sell real estate, and I tell everybody that I work with about it. We highly recommend Frontpoint.

I'm out of the city most of the time so my wife is by herself and I needed some security on my home. I liked that everything is wireless with Frontpoint. You don’t need to have internet or any wired ones in your home. The sales and customer service reps were good and offered me some of the extra benefits for free. That was a good deal. I installed it myself and I got it at first try. Everything worked and it was good to go. The instructions were detailed and simple. For the price, it was a good buy and we’re happy. However, it has a three-year contract. Lowering the contract term will make it even better.

Right now, I got the basic features of the system but I want to get the wireless camera for the door in the future. I can check the status from work using the smartphone features. The sensors tell me if something is going on. Anywhere I go, I can see what's going on at home. Who's coming in or out, when the doors are opening, and if the alarm is off, whenever to turn it on. Frontpoint is a good fit and I feel much more secure.

I purchased a home security system for safety reasons and the installation of the Frontpoint system was easy. I thought Frontpoint would be the best choice at first. But now that I look back at the three-year contract, it's not the right choice for me because of the equipment I have. I told the customer service what I needed and they told me at first to get 2 window breakers. Then, because my house is so small, they said that I can get away with just doing one if I put it in the central location of the house, which is the kitchen area, and that should cover the bedrooms too. Now, I only have my 2 doors secured and one window breaker but I’m not sure that I feel safe and secure with the system.

The three-year contract is also wrong for me because I don’t know how long I’m gonna be where I am. I understand that I can bring the system with me, but I don’t know if I’m gonna end up in an apartment. The contract is unreasonable compared to other companies out there. They should alter the price based on the equipment someone has or the size of the house. The monthly fee for what I have is not a great deal because I could have gotten a better system with my whole house monitored for a little more and I would have paid a little more for the equipment.

If you're looking for a security system, Frontpoint is going to give you what you want. You're monitored and you can get all the other stuff for smoke, floods, fires and heart attacks. I wanted the system because there are bad people in the world and if we're away, between Frontpoint and the dogs, I pretty much keep all my stuff. Frontpoint was also rated as one of the top and they had everything that I wanted. You get more than what you pay for too. AT&T wants a ton of money and yet, you would pretty much get the same thing with Frontpoint for a whole lot less.

Frontpoint's representatives were great too. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was also easy to install the system. The instructions were clear and concise. You'd have to be an idiot not to be able to follow them. I use the smartphone features to set and check the alarm and I feel a lot more security now. Overall, I'm pleased with Frontpoint.

ADT was a little pricey for what I required so I checked for different security options and decided to go with Frontpoint. I like the fact that I could monitor the status of my home from my mobile phone. During installation, all I had to do was mount the sensors on the wall by following the directions and I used their app to synchronize the sensor with the security system. The $40 cost a month is not too expensive for motion sensor, door sensors and the ability to use an app to monitor and control that stuff. I planned to call them back because one of my door sensors is open all the time so I need a replacement. I don’t know if that’s because of the placement of the sensor or if it's malfunctioned. Nonetheless, the security equipment seems to work great.

Frontpoint is a lot better than my previous security system in Long Island. Their reps are outstanding. The alarms were very easy to install, but the cameras were not. The website is not truthful on that part and I called to complain about that already. With the cameras, you have to actually get somebody on the phone and install them. It took more than 45 minutes for the installation of that with somebody on the phone. Still, I would highly recommend Frontpoint. The signal is crystal clear. Every time a door opens, closes or the alarm is set off, I get a message. The features cover all bases and the prices are comparably reasonable. They offer all the protection that one could have on a home. They also offer discounted coupons which I was happy to receive, so it made it more cost-effective for me to get the cameras.

I’m very happy with Frontpoint. I did some research on the internet and websites doing reviews of security systems advertised Frontpoint as a solid and good provider, and the installation is very simple. The man who introduced me to the whole process for the very first call was very informative, patient and detailed. I had plenty of questions about the things that I didn’t fully understand before. The gentleman clearly explained everything, making sure that I understand every aspect. My questions are fully answered, which was great. He helped me with the initial setup. After that, he told me that I can add more sensors that I need. But for the very first setup, he recommended the setup based on my explanation of what our house looks like.

Everything seems to be working as advertised. We have a few sensors and two of them have glitch, and they couldn’t produce a good system without additional phone call. So, something was off with this but it is great that everything could be resolved with a single phone call. Every single interaction was very polite and very nice.

I have confidence that everything is working well. The automation is something that is almost good, but not as great as I initially pictured it. Still, there are things that are great such as the geofencing that allows us to turn on lights in our house as we’re coming home. I recently realized that it can be done with Frontpoint, but it’s going all-around because it’s basing on emails being sent and then monitored in different places or aspects. Being able to respond if an alarm has been disarmed will be super helpful. It is something that legitimately works already except it has a very long latency, so it takes several minutes. With just a simple signal being sent from the system, the house can turn on lights everywhere as we’re coming home and disarming the alarm. It would be absolutely lovely to have, but I can do without.

When I installed the first motion sensors, I lacked information. It wasn’t very clear to me that the motion sensors work only in horizontal layer. They don’t work in 3D. So, it’s not a conical shape that they monitor, but rather just an adjusted small angle. So, the first time I installed those sensors, I couldn’t even test them. They didn’t really respond well. So, that was also resolved from the phone call. I already recommended Frontpoint to a few friends.

We moved to a new place and we need a home security system. I did a search in Google looking for the best service and it showed Frontpoint as the number one. I love that it is wireless. You can control everything from the website or the app in the iPhone. Our Frontpoint system is a little bit more expensive than the other system that I tried, but it's not that bad because it's more easy to work with and the quality is better than the other one. Frontpoint's customer service is very good. The rep I worked with was a nice person. At first, the rep helped me install everything and explained to me how the system worked and then the next time, I did the installation by myself. The directions were very easy to follow.

Anything with the service is good but sometimes, the screen freezes. So, I had to press the two buttons, the X and the home for my monitor, and then restore it. It is all good, but it happens once in a while. Also the sensors have some errors. There were a couple of times that the police came because of a sensor error. We thought somebody was breaking in but it was just the sensor. Still, I like the features in our system. They're good. I use the smartphone features and it was hard to figure out at first. It's not that intuitive like other apps. But once you figure it out, then you get the logic of how it works and it's fine.

I live alone with an elderly mother and Frontpoint has really good reviews so I got a home security with them. They mailed the system to me and their reps helped me when I was first installing it. It's all wireless and I put it in myself. The installation instruction was pretty simple. I downloaded an app into my phone and it walked me through it. My problem was when I got to the last thing which is the glass sensor, the app hung up, but it was installed properly.

Also, I’m really happy with the features, but it’s a learning curve if you haven’t had an alarm system before. I would come home with a chunk load of groceries and forget that the one on the garage door is on. I would open the garage door, start unloading the car, and then the thing would off. And if I’m home and I’m working around the house, I go in and out and I leave the inside garage door open. I get texts telling me, “Your garage door is open,” or “You left your garage door open,” which I know I did. It sends me more notices than I need to know. But I understand that. Other than that, the equipment is great and it works great. My mother feels more secure when I leave for work that there’s an alarm system in place.

Furthermore, reviews said their system is easy to install. I also like that when I call Frontpoint, somebody answers the phone right away. I'm happy with the good customer service. The installation also went pretty well. I had to do a little bit of reading but when I ran into an issue, I called them and they guided me. It’s pretty simple. At first, I was a little bit concerned because I have some windows in the living room where Frontpoint told me that I didn’t need to have sensors. I have one glass-break in that room and then I have another upstairs. Not all my windows have sensors but I’m sure they work.

Still, the system is doing pretty well. The only problem is that I have the older keypad and I wanted to get one of their latest ones. However, when I call, they say it’s on backorder. Other than that, it is nice that I have a door that I can lock through my phone. I didn’t have that option with my previous provider which was a wired system. We had gone with Vivint and had a problem with getting somebody to come out and install the system. So, we cancelled and started looking for another option. We also decided to do a self-install and we went with Frontpoint because based on the responses from other people, it seemed like something we could do. Their sales team was great and the woman we worked with was really good. Then on the installs, everything was pretty clear and the only time that we really had a problem was connecting to our Wi-Fi. It took longer than anybody expected, including Frontpoint's folks, but we got it done.

We set up the security system based on how the house is designed, talked through it with Frontpoint's reps, decided what pieces to purchase, and everything we purchased had a specific reason, which was good. But the tape that adheres to the walls could use some improvement. It's working but when we came home one time, one of the sensors was laying on the floor. We put it back up though and it's still there, so maybe that was just a user error. The smartphone feature is also good and we like the reminders we get if we leave the house and we forgot to set the alarms. It's a good feature.

We feel comfortable since we got Frontpoint but we're talking about purchasing some of the sensors for our windows. It would also be nice to be able to turn on some of the motion detectors on while some of them are not on. For example, at night we set doors and windows, so if somebody was to open the door or open the window that has the sensors, then the alarm would go off. But if we select the other option, like when we're away where the motion detectors work, then it's all or nothing. It's all motion detectors or no motion detectors. And we’d like to be able to have the ability to set some of the motion detectors to work and have more flexibility with the sensors to on and off depending on our settings. Other than that, the cost seemed to be appropriate. It wasn’t as expensive as Vivint, but Vivint included an installation, which we initially liked. But the instructions with Frontpoint were pretty explicit and very understandable.

But I didn’t feel pressured at all. Their rep just tried to match and tell all the plus points that their system has compared to others. They kept on extending my trial period because of my situation, so that I would not be locked into a contract with them until after I actually gave the whole thing a 30-day trial. I had to delay it twice for an additional 30 days. They were very flexible with that, so it was a big help. Putting it in and setting it up was easy, and I didn’t have to drill in anything. I used industry-standard adhesive and none of them have fallen off yet. They said that it that happens, I could call them and they would send me new stuff. The instructions were simple and for anything that wasn’t straightforward, their tech support was very good at helping out. Anytime I had issues, they resolved it quickly.

There's a standard package for the system and then, you build off of it. We got the regular push button equipment and the only complaint that we have is that the button is bulky. The system is customizable and you can add different security features. It was a good way to tell how you wanna protect your home. I told them all I wanna do is for the right temperature to come up or elso, they should take the whole thing back and get me one that doesn’t have temperature on it. They couldn’t do any of that. When I said, “Well, then, I prefer not to have Frontpoint," they said that I would owe 80% of the cost of three years for the service, which I’m sure is on the contract but it’s not on the contract that they would bait and switch. When the bills came, they were all in US dollars. They forgot to tell me that so the cost was 25% percent higher than I anticipated. It’s a similar price to what another security system would have done for me and I wouldn’t have done the work myself.

I liked the cost of Frontpoint and the service that you’re getting feels individualized. With ADT, I was just another number and I would never go back to them. The lady that I spoke with at Frontpoint was amazing. She helped me with the entire process of setting up and getting my service. She took her time and ended up being at work a lot later than she should have been. You never would’ve known that she needed to get home or that she had to go to school. She was very professional and I was very happy with her service. I put the system together and they couldn’t be any more detailed than that with the instructions. I got everything I asked for.

I turn off my alarm with the smartphone feature every morning. However, the glass break sensor fell off my wall and the police had to come and search my property. I’m a single mother with a little girl who’s four. I was not coming out of that bedroom with my alarm going off at 4:00 in the morning, seeing that my kitchen door was open. So, that was scary. Also, they waited for a second alarm and that was too long. Once it starts going off, they should call and at least make sure that you’re okay. In that space in time for the second alarm, somebody could’ve been in my room. I’m paying $40 and $30 would’ve been enough but it is what it is. It’s a competitive market, so it could've been a little bit less considering I had to do all of the setting up. Nevertheless, I’m satisfied with everything and I would recommend them.

Frontpoint has better reviews compared to other home security systems. They also seemed to be more responsive. The installation experience was pretty good and easy. However, the alarm went off once, then I spoke to the rep, but the cops still showed up. The cops said that they got the call and there was no cancellation after that. So that was a little weird. It was good that they sent the police, but after talking to me, they shouldn’t have sent them. But that was the only one thing. The quality of the system and the price of Frontpoint seem decent too.

I was with Vivint but they ticked me off when my contract ended. They put some garbage in the mix and they were really ugly. They were also too expensive and they got nasty, so I severed my relationship with them. I researched Frontpoint and their reviews were superior compared to everyone else. I also liked their cost. Then I contacted them and their salesperson was awesome. He was an excellent young man. He was very professional, didn't try to pull any wool over my eyes, and answered all of my questions. Nowadays, businesses approach people like, "We're gonna screw you. Catch us if you can," but I didn't get that at all with Frontpoint's rep. He was very brutally honest and got right to the chase. I came on board from his initial disclosure and I'm happy so far.

The installation went okay as well and it was simple to do. I just have to get my keypad mounted on the wall. Other than that, everything has gone well. I got the basic stuff in and the salesman helped again with all of that. I will continue to build on the system as I go and I like that. Plus, I don't have to have people come out to the house and worry about having someone over 18 answer the door. I can do it at my own leisure or have someone else install it if needed.

I Googled home security and Frontpoint had the best reviews. Their customer service was great. I customized the package and the cost was less than what I thought it would be. Installing the system was pretty easy. I ran into a couple of things with the door like lining up the sensors and the thickness of the tape. I figured it out after a couple of tries. The smartphone feature is good as well. Sometimes I'd forget to set it when I'm leaving or I had too many things in my hand, so I'd just set it once I'm in the car and same as when I'd get home. It's nice to be able to do that.

Everyone at Frontpoint has been extremely helpful. I bought a home security system to have ongoing monitoring and security in the house. Also, a home security is a requirement of my home insurance company. My husband did the installation of our Frontpoint equipment. It mostly went fine, but there were a few issues. He couldn’t get one of the cameras up and running. Also, one of the sensors needed to be reattached. Frontpoint should have an option for people who would like to have help with the installation. For the camera, it’s plugged in and it’s here on our entryway. I would really rather have it attached to the wall and fully installed, so that someone can’t come along and unplug it.

I’ve used ADT in the past, and Frontpoint is a bit more flexible. You do the installation yourself rather than relying on a technician. The features of our system are good. It’s also very easy to use the smartphone features to arm and disarm the system. Frontpoint is very user-friendly and effective. I feel more secure since having the system in our home. We also just purchased more equipment for monitoring the fire and carbon monoxide in the house.

My brother and I did the installation together and I put it on all the windows. If I had questions, I called and the Frontpoint reps answered them. I got the wireless doors and windows. With the smartphone feature, I can turn it on and off on my phone. One time, I tripped it by mistake and I was able to disarm it but it was loud and scary. I could imagine somebody walking in and that thing would start blaring. It would wake us up and we could deal with the situation better than just waking up next to somebody that's trying to rob me. I won't have as much time to react. So, it’s great. I also got the cameras but I haven’t installed them yet. The Frontpoint system is good and the equipment is accurate. Although the cost is high, it's fine. I like that I have a security system in place.

The reps I spoke with were also knowledgeable about everything and I ended up buying it. And because I had dogs at that time, I got glass break sensors instead of motion detectors. The installation was also simple. I just got the package and sticked it myself where it had to go. Then I downloaded the app, which pretty much told me what to do, and I was done in about 30 minutes. Frontpoint is good. The initial person I talked to was very thorough, very accommodating, professional and flexible. He said we would have a 45-day trial period, but the house that we were trying to sell took longer than 45 days to be sold. I had hoped I would sell it in 45 days and I'd send the system back to Frontpoint, but that didn’t happen. I had to have a three-year contract with Frontpoint, although I only needed it for three months. I also talked to a manager and tried to figure out how not to keep having to pay the 36 months for the security system sitting in a box. It’s disconnected right now, but there aren’t any exceptions to the rule, and that’s the part that’s most irritating.

Frontpoint's price was very competitive and the system was really easy to set up. I had a question during the process and I called, and the rep was very informative and helpful. The features included in our system were good and the overall quality of the equipment was excellent. We had the window and the door sensors and the motion detector. The machine was set up in Connecticut and I monitored it from Arizona. I have a couple of people on the list who can go in and out and turn it on and off, and I could see all that stuff.

Frontpoint has most of the stuff that people would need for home automation and home security and is way better compared to the other home security system we used. You can also personalize and install the system yourself and somebody monitors the house. They send you the equipment and they show you how to do it. They also have a phone app that can help you through the installation, so it is quite easy to do.

The Fronpoint team is phenomenal. Initially, I had issues with my installations on my new home and I spent lots of hours with them on the phone. But every time I call them, they listen and address my concerns. I also returned stuff, which was very easy. They sent a shipping label to send them the stuff back and they sent me a new one right away. That was a very excellent customer service and I was very surprised because I never got that from my previous security service.

My Frontpoint system has been working fine for the past few months and I really like it. It is expensive, but it’s high quality and you get what you pay for. It has a bigger panel and I can arm the system through my phone. The smartphone feature is very easy, intuitive, and it hasn’t failed on me. The system is also constantly monitoring each sensor, so if there’s an issue, it tells you right away than to wait until somebody breaks in. It’s a great system to have and they are there to assist you all throughout. I'll buy from them again and I will highly recommend anyone to try it.

My daughter has the Frontpoint security system and she said it’s reliable so I went with it too. However, I've had some issues with the equipment since it is wireless. I’ve had the sensors falling off, not picking up or not working. Sometimes I’m overseas and the internet does not work. There were two incidents where I had issues with the system not working, and I also had to have one of the sensors replaced.

I used to have a different system and I had more area covered with it. With my Frontpoint system right now, my upper floor backdoor and my garage are not covered. They’re saying it’s not necessary, but somebody could put a ladder and climb up then get through my backdoor upstairs. And if somebody opens the garage and enters the house through the door, that door is not covered. So, people could still access my house without setting off the alarm. Those places need to be covered but Frontpoint is gonna have to charge if I want to add to my package, whereas my last system was half the price of what I paid for what I have now.

Also, the way Frontpoint covers the windows is by a glass breakage system, which they claim will pick up if somebody breaks the glass. But if somebody was able to jimmy that lock on the glass system and the windows and get in, it will not trigger the alarm. So, it’s not as efficient as it should be. I’m a little more vulnerable now to break-ins than with my last system, which had every window and door covered. I have a lot of doors and windows and I would like it if Frontpoint could make sure that every window and door is covered.

Frontpoint provided the security we needed for that reason. The system would alert us when a window was being opened. The installation was also easy although we had one little hiccup. We couldn’t get something on our front door and we didn’t tell them for a very long time. Then they called to check up on us and we told them. They told us that we needed a different kind and they very quickly sent it to us. So it was all good.

We are new homeowners and wanted to get peace of mind to keep our home and family secure. We liked Frontpoint's customer feedback rating, their ratings online and the security provider in the local area. We also liked the cost. Frontpoint's representatives were very good in terms of customer service. They were very polite, very keen to understand what our needs are and they're being provided with a very good training for Frontpoint.

The initial installation of the system was very straightforward. All the instructions were clearly printed and when there were hiccups, with just making one phone call, they were able to resolve it from the other end remotely really easily. There were a few glitches as a result of me adding components later on after the initial installation. That installation process wasn’t as well described nevertheless, a phone call easily resolved it. Most of the installations required self-adhesive strips to stick them on to the walls and surfaces. Some of those installations, over time, now having used the system for about six months, gave way and some of those sensors fell off. So, I had to use alternative fastening systems like screws. So, their adhesive strips were not always up for the job because they came pre-stuck on the actual devices.

Our system's overall features are very good. The only thing is with the initial conversations with Frontpoint and the various services they offered, I got the impression that for the $35 plan, we would have a fully interactive experience. I thought we would be able to control and manage the system remotely via our smart device, et cetera. In the first 30 days, I had that functionality and then all of a sudden, after 30 days, it disappeared. I wasn’t aware of what was going on and only after later conversations with the customer service representatives did I understand that the $35 plan does not include the interactive services. It only included the very basic monitoring package which monitored the system and gave us a phone call if there was an issue or an intruder alert.

The next tier of service, which was the $45 plan, included the interactive service. That wasn’t made clear to us from the start and it didn’t even occur to me that the 30-day period gave us those functionalities just as a trial. So in good faith, Frontpoint offered those interactive services to us for the three contract but it wasn’t made very clear to us what was offered and what was not offered for our given service packet. It was very deceptive as well because from the start of the service, if I didn’t have this functionality, I could have asked the question to any of their guys, "You advertise this but why do I not have this?" It would have been cleared up then.

Still, Frontpoint has a very good value. It's very affordable. I've look around at other options and Frontpoint is among the top three services. They're slightly different in terms of the equipment that they offer compared to other competitors, but they're all very similar and they, overall, offer the same product and service. Frontpoint's edge is their customer service.

Since having Frontpoint, we're more comfortable having the peace of mind that if there will be an intrusion or if our sensor's not working, someone will be notified. Also, if there will be a fire or carbon monoxide, we got all those sensors installed and we have a peace of mind that it's like a home security solution. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint. We'd get them again.
