My husband was researching and he thought that Frontpoint was the best one for the money. Frontpoint worked with us really well and everything seems to be doing what it's supposed to. We have set our alarm off and they have called right away, and that's a lot better than what I had in the past. Everything that I've encountered so far has been great.

I talked with people at Frontpoint and I liked the fact that I didn't have to have my own Wi-Fi network. It came with theirs, so I didn't have to pay for Wi-Fi to have the Frontpoint system. I purchased it around February or March. I talked with someone there who was very good and she walked me through. I got the things I needed and even so I may add some things to the system. Their rep helped me purchase the things that I got.

However, the installation experience was very poor. I tried installing it around five months ago and I got stuck. I didn't install it until about three days ago. My 30-year-old nephew arrived and installed it for me. It was not as easy as they claim it is and that was disappointing because I've paid since then until now a monthly fee to have it monitored. I turned it on and I started, but I didn't finish and haven't activated it. I've been paying for it every month when I haven't used it and I wasn't happy with that.

The biggest problem is that it may be self-evident to a 20-year-old, but it's not self-evident to people who are a bit older. It's not easy to use. In my previous house, I had ADT and I have panels that I can turn on and off things at my back door, my front door and in my bedroom. I didn't realize that when I ordered the Frontpoint system, there's only one panel and that's it. It would be much better to be able to have multiple panels. Mine was installed on the wall and I activated it when I went to bed. It was very simple. When I left the bedroom to go downstairs, I turned it off. I don't have that option here and it limits the functionality of the system.

The guy said to me that I can use the key fob, but I haven't used it yet, so I don't really know how to work that. So far, my experience has not been very good because it's not very evident how to use the system. I am dissatisfied. I've paid for five months, but it hasn't been active or used. Frontpoint claims it has been activated because I started the installation, but I never got it finished.

We purchased a new home so we wanted to have a security system in place. We went with Frontpoint because of their monthly rate and a guy got us set up with everything when we initially got the service. He was very accessible until we actually received the equipment. He had told us that we were gonna receive the touchscreen keypad but we didn’t. And once we got the service, I could never get him anytime I tried to call so we never received the touchscreen keypad. But other than that, the experience was good. We got the basic package and we did the installation ourselves. It was easy and the system is now serving its purpose.

I found Frontpoint on the internet and it sounded like a good outfit. When I called them, they sounded like they were pretty responsive and competitive, so I went with them. Their customer service reps score very high, as well as the self-installation. The overall functionality and performance are good, too. However, I am just not sure about the three-year contract. It would be nice if they had a one-year contract, too. But, it's all good. I'd recommend them.

We purchased a Frontpoint system for security. We did a little researching online and we liked some of the stuff Frontpoint offered and their product. The installation went well. One guy that was very helpful when we were having a little trouble hooking it up originally. Also, the instructions were good but they had missed something they had not sent us. However, everything was good once we got that straightened out. They did a good job fixing that too. The quality of the system has been fine and the cost is reasonable for what it is. The system seemed like a good fit for us and since having it, my wife and daughter feel a little more secure when they're home alone.

I needed a home security system quick. My other one, ADT, had let me down and wouldn’t come and fix the system. We searched on the internet and tried Frontpoint. I tried a couple of others and asked a few questions, but I liked the way they answered and the way it was set up and the way it could be set up without waiting on technicians to come in. I called Frontpoint and they set me up the next day. I got a kit in the mail the next day over mail and installed it myself. The installation was very easy and I spent less than an hour doing it. I had a system in there and I knew how it worked.

I like the way Frontpoint works and I like them much better. I like the fact that I can get somebody and I’ve had help any time I needed it. I needed the help when I was installing. I called for a question and got an answer immediately. They always call me if I’ve accidentally set it off. I’m the first one called and I got that notification very quickly. The customer service reps were great. Any time I’ve ever asked any questions, they put me with somebody that fixed me up immediately and I appreciate it.

The equipment sticks on contact but if you mess around with it during installation, they're not gonna stick so they could be better. Also, I have a cellular system with my business that was tied in with the system that I had but I assume Frontpoint is not able to do that. Overall, although I'm still up on the trial run with Frontpoint, my system has been working fine so far.

I have a new house and I needed a home security system. I googled some of the top home security systems and Frontpoint came up with a really good rating. The young man that I talked to there did an absolutely stellar job at explaining everything that they had and how much it was gonna be. He was extremely cordial and knowledgeable. We had to call him about a few things and he always had time to help us figure out any glitches that might be going on. Also, the system made our insurance go down. By coupling our home insurance and car insurance through the company, we saved money. We’re saving more than we would be spending without a security system. It's about $20 a month but $20 a month is $20 a month. The cost is extremely reasonable too. It is a little bit less expensive than some of the other ones but being less expensive does not mean that they're lower quality. In fact, Frontpoint has been a really good thing for us to have.

We did the installation over our cell phones. The sensors for the windows and the doors are simple if you're mechanically or electronically-inclined. From the minute that we set the system up, it has worked perfectly for what we needed it for. It took me a while to remember that we had a security system, so we've had the police car and everybody else call because I wasn’t used to it but everything that we wanted was covered. I'm pleased and I have a lot of peace of mind. My husband sometimes has to go out of town for a month at a time and we feel very comfortable with him being out of town knowing that I have all the protection. Right after we got our security system, the two people around us also got a security system. My mother and father are gonna get a system as well with Frontpoint and several of my friends are also gonna do it.

We have been using Frontpoint for just a few months and their cost is comparable. We used ADT for almost more than three years and I wanted to try out something different this time. The main thing I liked about Frontpoint was that it was a peel and stick, so we can install the system on our own. However, for almost a week, I'm getting an email every morning that the main unit reported a low battery and it's always detecting during the midnight.

My security is working fine. We are putting either on away in the night or in stay mode during daytime as needed. And we are using remote controls or we are operating through the app. It seems to be working fine for me, but I don't know what does that mean. I made sure that the main control board, which has the buttons to it, is charged, that it's fine, it's plugged and it is getting electrical power. So, I don't know why Frontpoint is saying that the battery is low. But other than that, everything is working fine with the Frontpoint system, and as far as customer service is concerned, I'm happy with them.

I wanted to secure my home and when I was shopping around, I had three different appointments with ADT-based companies. They all gave different pricing and I was not too happy with that. Compared to them, Frontpoint was the most straightforward and their cost was much easier to figure out and to justify. So, I went with them. I had positive interactions with their sales team and customer service department. I needed help with adding additional hardware to my home system because I did not purchase the additional hardware through Frontpoint, instead, I found a bulk set on eBay. And their customer service reps walked me through how to add that to my system and get that all configured.

The installation could not have been any easier, too. The main box that all of the hardware came in was compartmentalized into four or five smaller boxes. Each one was numbered with which step I should install it and be able to put which side. They were even color coded. Even if I didn't follow the directions, it was straightforward as can be. You plug in the main touch device, connect it to your network, and just toggle the sensors. All you do is trip the sensor once and it pops up on there. However, I wish they had more compatibility with third parties such as the Nest smoke detector or the Ring doorbell. Also, I like the geofence reminder when I leave the house, but I wish there was better support from multiple people. For instance, if my wife is still at home, I don't want to be reminded to arm the alarm if she is still there or if her phone is still there.

Other than that, it is a good feeling to have Frontpoint, especially with the phone reminders. If you take the time to go through the sensors of all of your doors and windows and play with them, it is nice to see which sensor would be tripped or to get more insights for that. It would also be nice if I could open up one app to see all the aspects of my home security. But overall, my experience with Frontpoint has been positive and I've recommended them to two friends already.

I have been using Frontpoint's home security system since May. I was comparing online and looking at reviews. It looked like Frontpoint had the better reviews, so I went with them. Their customer service reps were really nice and while I had to do the installation itself, they helped me out over the phone when I had difficulty. I was able to install the basic package in an hour. One time, I had an experience with the smoke detector. It went off and it actually alerted the fire department who came. I thought that was quick although it was a false alarm. Other than that, I don't like the two-year contract part. I also feel that the payments are a little bit higher than ADT.

There was a lot of crime going on, and I thought it would be a good idea to get a security system. I have a system years ago, but I stopped paying for it. Then I thought, "Maybe I'll just get a whole fresh one." And that's when I started doing all the research. Vivint has an appointment set up for a certain day that they were supposed to come out and they canceled it the last minute and said they couldn't come out. They had annoyed me. Then, I called Frontpoint. At first, I was intimidated by the do it yourself type feel. Still, I decided to give it a try and I was just really impressed with all the reviews -- they even did better in the reviews than Vivint.

Their sales and customer service reps were great. I thought about going with the local company that I dealt with, and they gave me a better price to stay with them, so they were very accommodating. They walked me through the self-installation on the phone and I was just a little intimidated like there was a part that dealt with my front door. I was having trouble because there was molding. But, they were very patient with me. I like the system, and I may eventually have some window sensors, too. They are great and I have been raving about it to a lot of different people already.

I needed a device that would allow me to capture a video or to look at video for a place of business. The building is relatively secure but I just wanted to make sure that I got an alarm and a way to look at it if I had trouble, especially with fire. I searched around and Frontpoint was the first one that called me back when I had some questions. Their system is a little pricey but it works fine. There were a couple of things about the door sensor and the fire alarm though. The sticky tape didn’t really work very well, which was a fail for me, but I got some screws and the fire alarm is now screwed onto the wall.

Also, their tech support seems capable and they’re very persistent when there is an alarm, which is good. However, it was a little aggravating that they called the fire department when I told them not to. I made a couple of calls when we needed to shut the equipment down for a while, and then we unplugged it and the alarm started going off. We got calls and they informed us that our equipment was disconnected. I told them we were working on the facility and we needed to turn it off for a while but I didn’t have the codes with me because everything was in boxes. But they called the fire department anyway. Nevertheless, Frontpoint is a great service.

Frontpoint had really good ratings online. I googled the top 10 security systems and they were one of them. I used to be with ADT and Frontpoint's price point is better. They are also very responsive and ADT is not. They also have a direct contact with firemen and police, and ADT does not. Reshawn, Frontpoint's rep was very thorough, helpful and kind. He made me feel comfortable. Normally, I am not down with signing in the contract, but he made me feel okay about it. I received the equipment in the mail. I installed it myself, which says a lot because I’m not very IT-friendly. The step-by-step process was super easy. Installing the peel and stick sensors for the door was very easy as well.

I love that I get an alert to set my alarm on my house every morning. Frontpoint just came out with a doorbell feature for $99, which I’m excited about. I emailed Reshawn about that. Also, their control pad is really easy to use. I’m super impressed by their response time. One day, I accidentally pushed the fire alarm and they called immediately. I’m very open to paying the $45 monthly because their response time has always been impeccable. I’d definitely recommend Frontpoint over ADT and Vivint.

I've used Frontpoint at a different residence and my experience has been good so I got them for home security again. Everything was self-explanatory. The installation of the system was easy. Everything was perfect. I like having Frontpoint in my home. I use the smartphone features and they're good. They do what they need to do. However, the keypads do some of the things that I can’t do through the app. Like if I arm away, I wanted to do it silently but I don’t know how to program the keypad to do that specifically. I only use the keypad to disarm and that's it. I would also love it if the whole thing was cheaper but the price is reasonable for what we got.

But I applaud their customer service because they’re one of the best customer service organizations I’ve dealt with ever. They speak English. They also seem to be very well-trained on the products, which is definitely helpful when working for a product issue because they understand the product and are able to answer your questions right out without having to send them off to some more technical person. That’s valuable. I've already recommended Frontpoint to other people.

I talked to ADT and I was not happy with their approach. I asked them to come up to look at the house and give us a price, and the guy came up in a truck and thought he was gonna install it all. He said that it was the way they do it. They would put the system in and then tell me how much it is. I told them that we were not doing that. I ended up calling this guy’s manager and he told me the same thing and it got pretty heated, so I walked away from them.

I then started looking into things and realized when I went through the details that I could install Frontpoint. It didn’t need someone else to install it. I talked to them over the phone and it sounded reasonable and their reps were knowledgeable. I did the installation and it was pretty easy to do. Frontpoint walked me through how to install it because I had no idea how to put it in, then they activated it. I’ve been with Frontpoint for about two years now and I like that I could select what I wanted and the system works very well. Also, we turn it on and off with the smartphone which is really good.

I moved from Colorado, so I was out of town and realtors looked around the house. The realtors would call me up and either they lock the place up or I'd lock the place up by phone. During two different occasions, somebody left the door open. I happened to look at it and saw that a door was open and I called the realtor back. I was away for several days and winter in Colorado would probably cause some damage to the house. If I haven't had the Frontpoint system in, that could have been a problem. So I was really pleased with that and I'm happy with what I'm paying and what I get from it. I would recommend Frontpoint.

Customer service ratings led me to go with Frontpoint. It is 100% better than the one I used previously. Their customer service is a whole lot better. They can answer, you're not on hold for a million hours, and they walk you through any problems, it is just totally different. However, the installation was not as smooth as I thought because I could not get the sensors to align, but after talking to the rep, then they included several different test strips, which was a good thing. The installation was very easy once you really figured it out on how to get the door sensors to align. But figuring that out, you might need to go in there and do it a couple of times, so you do not wanna run out of back-up stickies.

I like the different zones and the different settings. Its quality is what I was looking for. The imaging, however, does seem a little antiquated, especially with the changing technology. The flow should look a little bit more of a Java-oriented thing. The one thing that I don't like is that the bell like the door chime is not loud enough for me. I've turned it all the way up, but it only comes from the main receiver. So, if you are upstairs, you can't really hear if the kids are going in and out of the house downstairs, on the door chime. Also, I thought that even though the entire product from Comcast was totally not as good, the mobile integration is a little bit better on that one.

In relation to the quality of the system, it's probably too expensive. But, with the overall experience with it, I'd rather pay more for that than having to fool with Comcast, ADT, Briggs, all of which that I've had before. I don't put it on every day. But if I'm away from the house for an extended period of time, and I travel. So. when I'm not at home, the family uses it when I'm not there at night. So it gives a little bit more reassurance that things are the way that I expect them when I'm not close.

Overall, I’m not very satisfied right now with Frontpoint. I’m paying $50 a month and I’m hearing other people saying they’re not paying that much. There were levels depending on the size of your home but I only have a little apartment with less than a thousand square feet. I thought they had quoted me $39. If it was gonna be $50, I probably would’ve looked around. This other company, SimpliSafe, has $15 a month for around-the-clock protection with no long contracts, no wires, no install, no annual contract, while with Frontpoint, I'm now on a three-year contract with them. I should’ve checked around a little more and perhaps I just didn’t understand when I signed up with Frontpoint. When I signed up, it said 30-day risk-free and plans start at $34 .99. That was what I saw and I didn't go for a higher contract at all.

I haven’t turned the system on one time because I’m not really that familiar with it. It dings when I open my doors. I have not set that alarm once ‘cause I’m not quite comfortable yet with how I do that, and with what happens when I’m inside and I set it. I got confused about it. I’ve never had a security system before and I definitely don’t want it going off. I wanted to be more comfortable with using it before I started setting it. I did see some little video about the installation and I have to try to look at it again. I’ve just had one thing after another and I haven’t had time to deal with it.

Also, I thought the rep who sold me on the system said the camera was free, and I couldn't get the camera hooked up. There was something about an app on my phone. I couldn’t get it. I’m 62 years old, not tech-savvy and don’t walk around with my phone in my hand all the time. It was confusing for me a little bit to get it going. I’m dissatisfied because I can’t use it. It's my fault, too, because I haven’t taken the time to call Frontpoint.

I asked from Frontpoint for two signs ‘cause I have a front and a back, and I have an alley in the back which is more dangerous than the front of my house, but they didn’t send the sign to me. I called them up and they were gonna send it to me but then they were gonna bill me. I told them they said they could send me an extra sign. So, they did that but the sign was broken, so I’m gonna tape it. For the monthly bill, I said I wanted to be billed by mail when the rep asked me. They sent me something to sign, but then I noticed they’re taking it out of my credit card. It was also kinda weird with the guy that sold me the system. He had the strangest laugh and kept doing it. I was wondering what was so funny. It made me think if the website was real or if I was being scammed in some way. If I was Frontpoint, I would’ve gotten rid of that guy on the phone.

One of our neighbors was recently broken into, so we thought we needed to purchase a security system. I researched what was out there, saw their different plans and prices, and we chose Frontpoint. I like that everything is to be controlled from my cell phone and it was a big bonus for us that it wasn’t a super expensive plan. Furthermore, I've had really good interactions with the reps. The people have been super nice and kind and really great to work with. Unfortunately, we had a strange miscommunication where the rep gave some misleading information. It was a bummer that we had to go back and forth to work out a plan that works for us. It felt kinda shady, although I really don’t think that that was intentional on the rep's part. She was only trying to be helpful.

There was nothing really special about the outside security camera that we ended up going with. It's basically like an expensive camera that has many features as a really cheap camera that one can find on Amazon. A camera where somebody’s actually monitoring it is a lot more expensive, so we decided not to go with that although I wish that was included in the system that we got. I wish Frontpoint's security camera system have those features that would make something that works with the app easy to monitor and it will give notification when there’s motion. I feel that that’s not too much to ask for but not all companies provide that.

Since we have had the Frontpoint system installed, we feel so much safer at home, absolutely all the time. When we’re home or away, we really feel great about that. The other day, our garage door was left unlocked and the wind blew it open. The Frontpoint team called us and I was gonna look on the app. They said I should call the police and I was able to say, “Oh, no. It’s just the garage. I’m sure it’s the wind.” It took them six minutes from the time the alarm went off that I figured to when they actually called me, which I would have liked that it would only be three minutes. Nevertheless, it was good. Overall, Frontpoint really is a great company.

My brother gave me a hand, so that made it easier with somebody running the phone for the app. Frontpoint's reps have all been good. I’ve had a few false alarms and they’ve been prompt in calling me. At the beginning, we had some issues with air coming off, and we got that resolved. We also got a couple of bugs worked out in the beginning.

I read an article about Frontpoint and they are higher rating-wise compared to other companies. I had an easy interaction over the phone with the representative who was real friendly and helpful. The installation took me about 20 minutes and I had no problems with the instructions as they were easy. The system works great and its features serve my needs. There are more sophisticated systems or cameras, but the basic system is all I wanted. We also wanted the cellular-based system because I live remotely away from my mom’s house. The features of their smartphone app are very good too. However, when I go into the system, like to disarm it or check something, I have to enter the code again and I don't know if there's a way to bypass that.

I called their customer service once and the guy I talked to wasn't too cooperative. We had ADT prior to having Frontpoint and I was requesting the yard signs that they put up and he told me there was a charge. I told him that we got the whole system and that we paid for it. I also told him that ADT would send it to us without a charge. But he still said that there was a charge. I then told him that I was not paying for that. It was advertising for them to begin with.

I had it on my app and everything was easy to set up and working well. The only one thing that I didn't like was the long-term contract. It would be great if they could make it short-term. There had been tons of break-ins in my old neighborhood, and Frontpoint seemed like it was a good company and I liked their cost. However, the installation was very frustrating. I had to stay on the phone with the Frontpoint service representative. It would not read the doorways, and I ended up having to tape the magnetic strip with plain masking tape, which looked horrible, and it kept falling off. They tried to give me a solution using two of the different stickies to make it a little bit deeper, but it wouldn't work. It wouldn't read, and besides, doing two of them looked pretty horrible too and wasn’t stable. Also, I didn’t realize it wouldn't work on the sliding door in the back because of the way the door was mounted.

The reps were good but they just ran into the wall without having someone physically there to help me. We were sending pictures constantly and it was like an hour-long process. It would've been helpful for Frontpoint to offer for someone to come out and help with the installation or troubleshoot the problem. Now I moved to a different location and a much smaller place where I feel like it's a lot more secure, so I don't need Frontpoint anymore.

The second time that he got in, I did research and Frontpoint was number one across the board on every review or list that I witnessed for customer service and for quality of equipment. Their price was $5 more expensive than ADT, but judging from what other people were saying about their equipment and the customer service, I was impressed enough to go with their system. Then the installation of my package took me not knowing anything about installing security systems all of 20 minutes. It was really easy that a six-year old could set one of their systems up and get it running.

We're completely thrilled with Frontpoint. I got the bottom of the line package but it's excellent. We're paying $34 in change a month and that has already paid itself off in spades as far as we're concerned. The system has proven to be very effective. Their service has been completely outstanding too. Everything that happened over the past weekend with the latest break-in went down by the book, exactly the way it should have. The guy has already been in the county and bailed out, and now I gotta go through court proceedings. The bottom line is everything worked beautifully. I browsed a little bit on the internet and with Frontpoint, I liked that I could install the system myself and purchase as much or little as I wanted. There was a short call to get everything set up in their system for me, and then the rest was delivered. And I went to a website and set it up, and it was good to go. Everything was activated right away through the website, and all the equipment that I purchased was in good shape.

We’re content with what we have. We have the door and window sensors along with the smoke detectors. The equipment has good quality. We have the basic package and thankfully, we haven’t had a scenario where we had to test out the smoke detectors. But a couple of times we’ve set it off by accident, not getting in the pattern of disarming it before opening the door, and it seemed to work every time. And it makes it nice that it has a mobile app that we can arm and disarm and check to see what doors or windows are open.

Me and my wife use the smartphone features. We use it the few instances that we’ve left the house to go out of town and realize that we hadn’t set the system. And usually if we’re leaving like that, we set it with our phones instead of arming it and then having the 30-second window to lock up. So, we’ll get in the car and then activate it that way.

The Frontpoint system initially looked good, nice app, nice words, but over the course of 18 months the system went down, doors went out of detection, but one of the real problems is that it just doesn't work. I have had multiples false alarms, and the headquarters doesn't receive them. They have never called back, I call into the system and tell them it is false and it is like "we didn't receive it." I allowed one to go through for over 10 minutes and nothing.

I call into their customer service and they just ping you between multiple people; they say it works but then it doesn't. They will happily give you more detectors to show that they mean well, but in the end the system doesn't work so why do it. When you want to cancel, they will force you to pay hefty fees. This is what bothers me, the amount they charge above and beyond initial equipment and it doesn't work... they don't test it, they don't validate it, they just say "give me more money." It is a system designed to take more and more money from you with little benefit beyond an alert when the door opens and closes. Other systems like do that much better for much cheaper.

Moreover, the door keypad didn’t fit my door. I would have to get a whole new door, so I had to return that. Also, even though they say that you can put the security camera inside and point it outside, there is a major glare on the window and it doesn’t allow you to see anything at night. I took that back ‘cause I didn’t have anybody to install it outside for me.

I purchased a home and, given the reviews, I went for Frontpoint's home security system. Their reps were very helpful from the initial setup, to subsequent purchases as well as handling issues that arose. Frontpoint basically has three tiers of price points for the packages and I picked one of them then did the installation myself. There weren’t any instructions though, so I had to go online. But with the exception of the light bulbs which I never got to work, the installation was easy or I would call them up. They gave fantastic guidance and they helped every step of the way. And then, they also credited me for the light bulbs, which I purchased a lot of. I've had one or two issues with their equipment too and when I called the tech support, their answers didn’t make sense. But other than that, everything’s been fine. I use the smartphone features all the time and I like the video feature as well as the on and off feature.

We just moved into a new house and the system that was in it was outdated. So, I looked around at different systems and Frontpoint got some good reviews. I also liked their customer service and being able to install the system myself. Setting the system up was easy. I had everything up running within 45 minutes. I had a difficulty because our cell signal was weak. And so, in order to get the system to really work well, I had to purchase a network extender from Verizon. I had once sensor for the AC power plug-in thing that did not connect properly with the system and I had to end up sending it back, but Frontpoint sent me a replacement for it. There was once when we may have falsely tripped the system and I got a call 10 minutes later to see if everything was okay. Overall, I'm very pleased that the system is very easy to maintain.

I travel a lot and I wanted security for my wife and baby at home. We had ADT in our house in Raleigh and when we moved, I wanted to have something that my family could activate conveniently. We also wanted something that we could have more access to remotely through cellphone service. We ended up with Frontpoint and I was very satisfied with the initial discussion I had with them when I placed the order. I called them and we discussed what my options were. They were very informative and clear on what to expect such as payments, the equipment we would be receiving and the type of system it would be.

Also, I didn't have any difficulty with the installation. The instructions were very clear. The equipment I received also seemed to be high-quality in the sense that it didn't seem like it was going to break out the box or have any issues with any of the adhesives. Furthermore, the smartphone features of the system are intuitive and their layout is easy enough to use and operate. Frontpoint's service is comparable to the other companies we've used.

But Frontpoint's system is different from what we came from. We are paying significantly more than the last security system we had. The other security system offered discounts depending on the type of insurance you have as well. We weren't able to take advantage of any of those items like we wish we would’ve. The contract terms were also a little lengthier than what other companies require but I understand that the equipment may be a little more expensive. I have recommended Frontpoint.

However, the security system is chintzy and I've had some issues with the way that the sensors were attached. I've had to go through a lot and I need to go purchase my own stuff. It was not exciting for me because the way the security system was attached doesn't give me the peace of mind it should. I've had them not working certain days so we detached them. I have to repair walls and move the sensors. Other than that, having the system is more important to me than all of that and Frontpoint is doing exactly what I need it to do. I'm happy with it.

It was really easy getting a system from Frontpoint. I talked to somebody and then they helped me. I installed the system and it was also a very easy thing to do. My system is perfect and I love the features I have on it. With it, I feel so secure that sometimes I forget to put it on at night.

I have an Airbnb in my home, and through Frontpoint's smartphone app, I can always tell if any of the doors are being messed with that shouldn’t be messed with. If someone looks in the garage, I’ll text and say, “Hey, you’re opening the garage door and you’re setting off the alarm.” They’ll go, “Oh, sorry. We were just looking around. We didn’t know what we could touch and what we could not.” It’s excellent. I would recommend Frontpoint. I had ADT five years ago and Frontpoint is a thousand times better than them. The cost was great as well. I knew I was gonna need about $300 set up and it’s about what it was.

Frontpoint's service and product are what they said they're gonna do. It's fairly easy once I figured what to do. The basic app on the phone where they wanted me to put the sensors on each window and then open and close them in order to make sure that it was working was, in my humble opinion, absolutely garbage. It was not very responsive. It kept saying, "Can't find the sensor." For somebody brand-new trying to use Frontpoint's stuff, that was frustrating, and I almost shipped the whole thing back to them. I finally got on the third try, and somebody at Frontpoint said, "Don't do that. Go to our website, go to XYZ on there and list all the sensors via the name you want and everything, then put them on the windows, open the windows, go look at your list, Make sure to open and close it, make sure it says close on the computer, not on the cellphone." And, it worked perfectly.

The customer service reps were very sales-oriented and I was told there was nothing that they could do unless I was willing to pay the remaining balance, which I was not willing to do.

I did the installation myself and it was easy but I do not feel like it was installed properly, which is part of the reason I wanted to cancel it. I called customer service for help many times but they claimed it was functioning on their end. Frontpoint is not worth the price. I ended up just going with another security option. When I had another company come out and professionally installed, they took a look at it and gave some pretty critical feedback that a professional should be coming out and doing that, not leaving it to the consumers.

The salesperson, Don, was really nice and as I was talking to him, I didn’t wanna talk to anybody else. I called customer service a couple of times to ask questions and they were all helpful, too. I have the cameras inside the house so it was pretty simple to put up. It was two steps and I was done. I use the Frontpoint smartphone app every day and I like it a lot. It's my key to the house now. It tells me when the cameras go down and when they reconnect as it keeps me updated.

The cost is a little bit expensive, though. The only thing I wish it had was being able to go back and look at the camera from earlier in the day. It was confusing because I know when people show up when the alarm goes off in that sensors, but I wish I could see, check out throughout the day like what time my gardener came to work today. I could easily get the camera off Amazon for $200 and don’t have to pay the security thing. If they had more features, it would be totally worth the money. Still, I like the security of it. It is absolutely amazing, and I would get it again in a heartbeat.

I was changing over and I was looking for a company that was gonna agree with the home security system that I already have. In an online sale, somebody said that Frontpoint claimed that theirs was a newer system. I talked with Frontpoint's sales staff and they were really good. I asked them all the questions, such as whether my system would meet up with their system, and it did. Their system matched perfectly with what I had. I was able to retain my sensors and put their new sensors up. I installed the system myself and it was simple as I was a licensed electrician. Also, the staff brought everything right up front and there were no surprises. They told me what it was gonna cost. Then, I was going through a window transition and I told them I could only put partials on until I got everything in and they went along with everything I was doing.

Right now, however, I'm a little confused with the monitoring service because once, I had a fire alarm go off at 11:00 PM and it stayed on for 45 seconds but nobody called. And one of the features that Frontpoint has is a 24/7 service. My other company would call almost immediately to verify what happened. Although, the customer service reps are on point when I talk to them and explain what was going on. They took care of the problem immediately. But I shouldn’t have to call every time I have an issue, like when my alarm triggers and they did come up on their computer.

Other than that, I don’t like the option of doing the installation myself. If I’m doing a security thing, I would rather have the company come in and install it the correct way. But I got assistance from one of the representatives when I called. The rep was helpful and this person stayed on the phone to make sure everything was set up right and working properly. I bought a new second home in a small town a couple of blocks off a really busy street and there had been some less than desirable people who walked through the neighborhood at one point in time. So, I decided that it'd be a good idea while I'm not there to have a monitored security system. I was very happy with the way Frontpoint’s sales process worked. I filled out a thing on the internet, asking for their team to call me and give me a quote. They contacted me quickly and things went very smoothly. The sales guy was super informative and super friendly. At the same time, I was also evaluating another system and they had an auto dialer dial me. The guy I talked to was like the cold call guy then he passed me off to one of their people who could really give me a quote and help me. They put me on hold for over 20 minutes which pissed me off so I hung up.

In the beginning, I wasn’t happy with the installation of the Frontpoint system. I didn’t want to do the install myself but I read all the reviews and it said that it was easy and their people would help me walk through it so I did. They were awesome and they were on the phone as I walked through everything. The installation was super easy. The phone app was super easy too and I use it to walk through everything. I installed the door lock which took a little more time. I'm still trying to install the camera but it’s not their fault. My internet is too slow for video so I'm trying to get it upgraded. Then, after install, one of the sensors on the windows just randomly fell off. It's been over 100 degrees and super hot and I don’t know if it was the factor. I put it back on and it seems to still be there. If it happens again, it will throw the alarm and hopefully, I can get a replacement piece.

The system's initial cost upfront seemed a little steep but I got the video and the door pad. The monthly cost was right on with everybody else so it was nothing overly surprising. My system has everything I wanted and the features are great. I love the ability to turn it on and off remotely, to be able to put in different codes for different people and be able to track who’s coming in, who's leaving because a lot of different people will use my house. It’s all cool.

Since having Frontpoint, I feel much better. If there are less than desirables running through my neighborhood, at least having the Frontpoint stickers on there will hopefully deter them and if somebody decides to break in, I will be notified. Also, one of the reasons I picked them was because they ranked number one in customer support. They have been awesome and super friendly too. When I had to return the camera because it came broken, working with them was great. Everyone I talked to has been amazing and I would give them a high ranking for customer support. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint.

We put an extended on my shed and that was something that they found out after they hooked it up.

We had one little glitch and Frontpoint made good on it so, I'm a happy customer. But I don't like that they close on Sunday night. It was a surprise that a national company would shut down so the hours were inconvenient. We had a problem on a Sunday night and I thought that I hit the wrong button when it went to an endless voicemail. I found out the next day when my original guy, whom I had his email, emailed me back and said that Frontpoint wasn’t open on Sunday. I liked some of the options that Vivint has. Also, they had a nicer panel but it didn’t work. But Frontpoint will have a few more options and a few more bells and whistles because I'm a gadget guy. I just bought my first home and since I live by myself and work all day, I wanted to make sure that I can track who’s coming and going at my house. On a number of articles, Frontpoint had some of the better reviews for the past year and they promised good automation, like integration for less than some of the other houses with the smart doorbells and smart garage openers. Their reps were all right but I’m currently a little dissatisfied because one of the reasons I had their plan was because they offered a doorbell. They told me to just buy another camera and that I’d be able to switch out when the doorbell cameras come back in stock. However, it has been about three months and they still don’t have any of the doorbell cameras in stock.

It’s frustrating because it was the piece of equipment that goes with the system. So, they should have been a little more forward that it wasn’t going to be in for a while instead of a couple of weeks. The installation of the system was very simple and the door sensors were great. Also, the touchpad is easy to use and the app is nice. It can be accessed quickly and it activates and deactivates the alarm and it gives notifications whenever a door opens. I like that I can set the hours that I get notifications because if I’m at home and I’m walking to the house, I don’t need an alarm. On the other hand, the motion sensor tells me that someone went into the living room. I currently have workers in my house doing paints and I’m able to see when they’re coming and when they’re going whenever I’m at work. I have it set so I get an alert whenever a door opens, even when the alarm is not activated so that is nice.

However, with the motion sensor I purchased, I need to call them because it has been defective from day one where it keeps giving me alerts that it’s detecting motion. Maybe it needs a different location because it says that it might be too close to a vent so it’s taking up thermal movements from that. The motion sensor is currently sitting in my sock drawer and about once every two hours, I still get a notification that it’s detecting movement which I find unlikely. Moreover, Frontpoint could be better with the labeling of some of the buttons like for the alarm that if I want to set the windows and door sensors and not motion sensors when I’m at home, it is called windows and doors on the hub. While in the app, I have to pick the sleep option for setting the alarm when I’m still at home or if I don’t wanna do that. So, being able to create a custom alarms setting where I can have certain rooms would be something simple and that they could do.

Currently, I’m only able to use doors and windows sensors and I would be able to do the same thing for cheaper with another company. So, if I can get the equipment that I was promised that I’d be able to get and if I could get my motion sensor replaced, I would be happy with it. Otherwise, I would tell a friend asking about Frontpoint to look at other options and it depends on what they want, what they need but I’m kind of ambiguous until I get my issues resolved.

I moved into the first floor of an apartment complex and was living by myself. In the beginning, I was looking at another home security system provider similar to Frontpoint but apparently, that one goes offline a lot and there were bad reviews. So I researched that and saw that they were correct about that. The price, the ease of installation and the reliability had a lot to do with my decision to go with Frontpoint. They said they would send me the box and they explained how to put the sensors on and how to deactivate.

The installation was very easy but I had to reach out to them regarding the decals. They gave me the decals that you could put on a slider door but my front door doesn't have a glass piece to stick the decal on. I had to tape it on the outside of the front door and it looks tacky. I had asked Frontpoint for a different decal that I could stick onto the front door but they didn't have that. I also didn't go with any interior motion sensors because I didn't wanna wake up and trip them in the middle of the night. It also costs more and I was trying to keep the costs down. But my son had said to me that I probably should get that since they would go off when I'm out of town. That aside, the quality of the equipment seems fine. I've been referring Frontpoint too. I'm a Realtor and when I close on a house, that's one of the companies that I usually pass on to people.

I don’t trust people so I decided to get a security system. I had ADT and Brink’s before, and both were landline security so I went with Frontpoint, a wireless security. My interaction with their sales reps went okay. They gave me a motion detector for the garage, which was not being touched and it was giving false alarms. They replaced it with two different items. I installed the system myself and if I got a problem, I call their tech support. They know everything. Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience with Frontpoint.

Everybody purchases a home security to be safe. For many years, I had ADT and they were not doing good. I had a problem with the equipment and I kept on calling them but they never came and changed or repaired. Then, as I was browsing on the internet to look for a good security system, I found Frontpoint. I read all the reviews and I thought that it was the appropriate security system for me. Also, when I was told about the monthly cost, I was happier to take Frontpoint because they cost less than what I was paying ADT at the time.

My interactions with their reps were all good. I installed the system with the instructions and I had a problem with the front door camera. The first one that they sent me was broken so they replaced it. But I still couldn't install the one they gave me and I had to call an electrician to fix it. He charged me $100 for coming out but he couldn't do it as well. I spoke with Frontpoint's reps a couple of times about this matter and I didn't like going back and forth with their people. When I sent the front door camera back to them, they sent a new one immediately and everything was good. I also bought the ring and a doorbell camera on my own from Home Depot.

So far, Frontpoint's security system is good. But when I spoke to the girl who was explaining everything about their service, she told me about the 45 days free trial and that was at the back of my mind. And when I checked, the payment didn’t go in my credit card for the first month. So, I thought it was free for 45 days. Then, next month’s deduction didn’t go as well so I thought it was still free. But when I checked again in the month of July, the payment went through. A week later, one person called from Frontpoint who said that I missed the payments and that I had to pay for all three months at one time. It really shocked me.

I told him that it was not my mistake that they did not take the payments. I had to pay $45 per month for the three months at one time and I didn’t like that. When I negotiated, the person I was talking to said that he would remove one-month's payment and I had to pay for the two months. It was still not good for me but that happens sometimes.

The sales team at Frontpoint was good and they explained everything. Everything arrived in a timely manner and the installation was straightforward. I got one of the techs on the phone when I was having a couple of hiccups such as getting things to read the sensors. It didn’t take very long and the tech people were good. The quality of the equipment is fine and it covers everything I need. However, I would like the doorbell camera if they had it.

I’ve also had trouble with the smartphone app. I thought it was arming it, but it wasn’t. The system was a little overpriced because this whole time, I have not been arming it and nobody called to say that they noticed we were not using it. I found out about it by accident recently when I walked back in not thinking and nothing went off. I was ticked about that. It was a bit concerning and it made me lose confidence in them. Nobody called to check up at all and I was under the impression I was setting it through my phone every day, so I would hesitate to recommend Frontpoint because of that. But overall, having the alarm system makes me feel better. I like it even though I got dogs. It’s nice to have Frontpoint. I also like the clear signage and they sent me extras which I wanted.

Frontpoint seemed to have what I wanted at the time we were looking for one at the price that I wanted. The rep who talked to me was pretty good, very polite, reasonably helpful, and answered my questions. You never know what questions you need to ask until after you bought the system, but he answered the questions that I had, and he was pretty nice.

I followed the directions for installation and then I did the setup. I had some problems and I’m pretty good about reading directions. Some things were not made as clear as they could have. I might have liked to watch an online video because I had something got put in upside-down, so they didn’t work the way they were supposed to. We had a lot of back and forth for a couple of days before I finally got it set up. The customer assistance was very helpful and very nice. I wanted to get rid of the system at one time and make them give me my money back. But after I got off the phone, the person who handled irate customers was really good. She really did her job very well and got me calmed down.

However, we’ve had a lot of problems with the equipment. I’ve called customer assistance five times and I’m not sure if they got it fixed. The problems had a lot to do with connectivity because the box connects with the cell tower and then everything comes back. It wasn’t getting a really good reception. I had to move it to the bedroom and put it in front of a window. Now, it seems to be working all right. But the problem I have with this is that you just never know. I’m not sure how comfortable I will feel about the thing being on all the time when I’m on vacation, but it makes my wife feel better.

My neighbor’s house got robbed and was completely cleaned out while she was gone over Thanksgiving last year. I researched online and I liked Frontpoint's system that even if people smash their console, it still does the alarm. Also, it's all done through the phone lines and not the hard wires, so if the power is cut, the system can still send out signals. They had a really nice and helpful sales team. Also, their system was super easy to install. When I got it in the mail, it had boxes labeled one, two, three and it stated to do one first and then do this and this. I'm also super happy with the cost.

When I was cooking once, my smoke alarm went off and their team called me no more than 20 seconds. I told them that it was the first time I was using the system and I was impressed. Since having Frontpoint, we like the idea that when we walk away, we can just push a button. Nothing is secure and people can break through a window but if they do, we know that the police would be notified. That gives us a sense of security. It's a great product and whenever I call, they are always right there to help. I've recommended some of my friends to them.

Meanwhile, the doorbell camera would catch everything going by in the street or people in front of our door but it won't catch anyone in our front yard. Like if I go out there and do yard work, it doesn't start recording, or when my husband leaves with his car it doesn't catch that too so it's kinda useless to us since the mid-range area is the area we wanna capture. My son moved out in March and because I have never lived alone and found that I'm afraid to be alone, I got a home security system. I called a couple of security system companies that were so aggressive and they were so pushy and wanted to come out immediately. I told them I was shopping around but they said that we should do it now and asked me to give them my credit card number over the phone. I hung up on them and they’d call back day after day. On the other hand, Frontpoint was the least pushy and it was one that I could do by myself. Also, I’m a loan officer in a credit union and the representative who I work with in a title company told me that she just had Frontpoint system installed. She talked about what her husband installed and they absolutely loved it. Then she said that something happened so they're putting in the cameras.

The Frontpoint rep I talked to was very pleasant and he went out of his way to assist me. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and got me exactly what I was looking for. The installation of the system was easy once I figured it out. There was a video and when I was taking too long, the representatives called. I ignored the phone because I wanted to do it on my own but they called just to see if everything was okay. It was just harder for me because I live in a 1947 house so the doors aren’t aligned. I have four doors in my house but I only did it on three of them. I also have the glass breaks protection and the smartphone app works fine.

I turn on the system when I go to work and when I go to bed then I turn it off when I’m home. When I open the door, the alarm beeps so I know it’s working. But I don’t know if the alarm works or how it would sound like if somebody breaks in. We got some new neighbors across the street and they are really shady so I wanna make sure I have the alarm on and I have my signs posted so hopefully that deters them. Frontpoint’s cost is affordable at $45 a month and it gets paid off from my Visa. All in all, I would recommend Frontpoint.

But when I was ordering, they didn’t fully explain that if I had an inset door then I'd need to do something different with the door monitor. It’s not really put in appropriately and we may need to work on it eventually. But I gyrated it and it’s working, which is the important thing. I have one issue with the system though. The carbon monoxide monitoring thing has been giving messages all the time. It’s not saying it was tampered with but it’s annoying because I get an email on it ten times a day. Frontpoint came as a recommendation from another military member so I opted for them instead of others. I put in an online request and then was very shortly afterwards called by one of Frontpoint's sales representatives. The system was at a reasonable cost plus there was a sale then on the equipment and it was supposed to be the first couple of months had free service as well. So then, they sent my system, which I received a few days later, and I had it installed. It was confusing with the doorbell though Since then, I moved to a different location and my indoor camera does not work either.

Also, even though they said that the first month was going to be free, I got charged. I called them and they said that they went back and listened to the audio and that wasn’t the case. So, I was annoyed by that. It was part of the selling point, why I bought the system right then, because they said it was a first-time caller’s deal. But, at that point, I’d already sent a contract and I wanted to just take this in any way. Nevertheless, they’ve all been very courteous and helpful whenever I call.

Overall, the system has great functionality but there is a slight concern with the app itself. Some app, if you change your password, it automatically requires that you re-log in from all of the different apps with that new password. But that’s not the case with this app and then my ex-husband also had the app so he can still get on to the app and potential unlocks because it doesn’t require him to log in again. He verbally told me that he deleted the app from his phone, which means that he wouldn’t be able to log in except with a new password. But he could very well be lying and there’s no way of removing him from that.

I wanted peace of mind and Frontpoint was well-reviewed on the internet. Their rep was helpful and made the process simple and easy. However, I wished I did a little more research. I have a three-year commitment with them, which I knew going in, but I thought that was normal. Then, as soon as I bought something, I started getting advertisements from their competitors. Their competitors offered a similar entirely web-based monitoring system without the long contract. Although it's not that big of a deal, had I known beforehand, I might have gone a different direction. But Frontpoint's system was simple and very easy to install. They sent a box to my house with a bunch of stuff inside. When I had questions, they answered the phone right away and walked me through whatever I had issues with. I was up and running within an hour of opening the box and getting started.

The system is doing what I want it to do. I also have the app and that was another selling point as I can arm it and disarm it from my phone while on the way. However, there could be a bit more in terms of the monitoring, but it might be because I have the really basic package. Also, there were times when I accidentally set the system off and no one contacted me. I wonder if it was because I disabled it quickly enough and there was a grace period of a few seconds there. I thought that any time it goes off, I would get a phone call to confirm that it was indeed an accident. But ever since I've installed the system, I use it daily when I leave the house. Their marketing is very, very good. But Frontpoint is basically a high-priced Alarm.com reseller. Google "Alarm.com providers", and go with any of those companies and you will get literally all of the features of the Frontpoint system. Now, that's not a dig on Frontpoint necessarily. Alarm.com is actually pretty decent. The problem is that Frontpoint is one of the more expensive ADC resellers. So, you have to think: Where is this extra money going? Their customer service? Or just marketing? Let's figure it out.

You're supposed to be blown away by their customer service, like absolutely speechless. I mean, you Google "Frontpoint", you read all of the articles, and you think their CS reps are gods among mortals. I don't know. Maybe at some point they were, but those days are behind Frontpoint apparently. I'll take you through why. When I first set up my system, I wanted to just do it online. That way I can see everything I'm about to buy, and not have a pushy sales guy telling me that I need to make a decision in an hour or ** or something. At first it looked like Frontpoint offered that, but as it turns out, since I'm a renter, they don't let you sign up online for some reason. Apparently if you are renter, you don't get the $300+ discount since you don't do the 3-year contract, so it's probably related to that.

Alright, so I begrudgingly call them and get paired with Michael the sales rep. A very nice guy, wasn't pushy, and he even got me a decent discount on the equipment, even though I only signed the 1-year contract. It was a fair deal on the equipment, which is the only reason why I am not using the 30-day risk free return. Though I asked him a question about RF jamming, which, to me, is a legitimate concern. If you don't know, burglars used to defeat alarm systems with a pair of scissors and cutting the phone line. Now, for wireless systems like Frontpoint, they need to purchase a transmitter which can be a couple hundred dollars, but that is a worthy investment for a career criminal.

He told me that Frontpoint operates on a military-grade frequency, and military grade transmitters are $10,000+. Huh? GSM is 850MHz, and the sensors operate at 319MHz. Nothing about those frequencies scream military grade, but I'm going to let it go because I don't expect him to know that and I've read other places where Frontpoint has responded to this concern and calling those frequencies "military grade", so it was probably not Michael, but Frontpoint saying that. I also asked him if they had private guard response, since the city of Seattle recommends that because of the high incident of false alarms. He said he didn't know, which is a bit annoying since Frontpoint does offer it, and that would have absolutely been another selling point for me.

Alright, so a week later I get the stuff, and it was all packaged nicely, and it was for the most part easy to set up. Only small problem I ran into was that this GDPR cookie warning kept getting in the way on my mobile browser, which was annoying, and for some reason I couldn't dismiss it. But after a bit I got my system up and running, and it seemed to work fine. So, installation of the security system went very smoothly, and so far my experience has been just fine.

The first night, I wanted to leave my window open. I had to manually "bypass" one of the sensors. This would be annoying to have to do every night, so I looked up the Simon XT manual to see if there was a better way. There was! "Auto arm" was enabled, which means if I click "Arm" (either on my phone, or on the panel), the panel would whine and moan for 4 minutes, and then arm the system. If you turned it off, it would wine about it once, and then arm a second later. That's what I wanted. Only problem was, I needed the Dealer code. The master code that I had wouldn't work for this. The manual said the default was 4321. I Googled "Frontpoint" Simon XT dealer code, and found it on Reddit, but it was annoying that I had to do that. I hope they would have given that to me anyway. Maybe I'll test Frontpoint's CS later and ask.

A couple days went by, and I decided I didn't want the camera they gave me. It's too tethered to Alarm.com and it just seemed like a very limiting investment. I have to call customer service during my work hours to return it. They don't like e-mails...more on that later. So, I called the customer service, and get selected for John in billing. I'm prepared to have my head explode, since ASecureLife and the multitude of all of other articles suggested this should be the case. He kept putting me on hold, for like a total of 10 minutes. Come on, this should be a no-brainer. I was within the 30-day risk free period. I should be able to return whatever I want. Maybe he's new. Whatever. He gave me a $130 refund for the $199 camera. Sigh. Maybe it was because Michael gave me the discount in the beginning, I don't know.

I then asked him a simple question. I was about to get charged August 1st for the $50 fee for the first time. I asked him if this charge was for July monitoring, or for August monitoring, since I only had the system in July for 4 days. He said "I believe it's for August." Huh? Who am I calling here? Did I just get put on the line with like, the janitor, and he's just sort of winging it? Remember, I pressed *4* on the phone for "Billing", and this guy isn't 100% absolutely positively sure what time period the $50 charge represents. My head exploded, but not for the reasons SafeHome.org would have you think.

Okay, a couple days goes by, and I decide that I want to add a light bulb to my account. I go to Alarm.com and look up what Z-Wave light bulbs are for-sure compatible with them. I buy one on Amazon, and it comes 2 days later. I add it to my Simon XT no problem (by using the dealer code I found on...Reddit, *sigh*). I then look up Alarm.com's docs, and go to another ADC dealers website, and they all suggest that the lightbulb should automatically get synced with your ADC account, though it may take a few minutes. A day goes by, and it doesn't get added. I assume that ADC is not syncing with my panel or something, and something has to be done on Frontpoint's side.

But it's okay, I apparently have the greatest ADC dealer in the world with stellar customer support and they should be able to handle this no problem. Well, it's out of their customer service hours. Okay, fine. I'm the nocturnal one after all. I go to "Contact Us" at Frontpoint, and click "Email Support". I send the request with crystal clear details, and I assume that it will just be fixed the next day. After all, this should be a simple request, and shouldn't require me to pick up the phone for them to configure this.

Nope. I get a call at 8:42 AM. I'm asleep and so I don't answer it. I get an email from Julian asking what time is a good time for me to call him back. What? Did I not go to "Email Support"? Good god. I call them, and it went exactly as I'd expected. The lady on the other line said "It looks like lights aren't enabled on your account. Let me enable it." And the issue was fixed. Let me explain to why this is not the breathtaking, dazzling customer service experience the marketing department made it seem like it would be:

Had Julian even attempted to look into the details of my account, he would have come to this same conclusion and tick "enabled" and I wouldn't have been so annoyed. But he didn't. His first reaction wasn't to read my request and look into the issue, it was instead to call me at the crack of dawn so he can eventually enable something on his end. This makes absolutely no sense. Remember: I am paying $50 a month for Home Automation features, and they were not enabled on my account. What else isn't enabled on my account that I'm paying for? I asked for "Email Support". Which means I wanted to not have to call them while I was at work and for them to not call me at 8:42AM.

I have yet to have this awe-inspiring customer support experience that Frontpoint is supposed to have. Let's recap: I'm paying extra for the premier Alarm.com service provider. There are cheaper ADC providers out there, so what am I paying extra for? We know it's not quality customer service. Probably the marketing department. I don't want to pay extra for the marketing department. Safe to say: I will not be renewing once my 1-year is up. Other gripes: The geofencing? It has a 1 mile minimum. I work within 1 mile, so this isn't really useful to me. I know this is Alarm.com's problem, but I would like Frontpoint to put pressure on them to change this.

Sensor encryption. This is a very small gripe. The communication between sensors and the panel is not encrypted, so a savvy burglar could pretend to be your door sensor, and interfere with alarms being tripped by it. I know: The vast majority of alarm systems do not do this either. Still, an opportunity for Frontpoint to stand out. RF Jam detection. Even though I'm impressed by Frontpoint's operation on the "military grade" 319MHz and 850MHz frequencies, it's still a possible attack and I think RF Jam Detection would be a valuable feature. Sensor RF Jamming is disabled by default on the Simon XT. I enabled it, but I have no idea if it's actually doing anything, or if Frontpoint reacts to them.

As for jamming the cellular frequency, Frontpoint checks in every 68 minutes. This is a pretty wide attack range for a burglar. That being said, I don't know how costly it is for them to do these check-ins more frequently, but I'd be interested in paying extra for cellular jam protection in the way of more frequent check ins, or a landline backup. Why 2 stars and not 1: Easy setup. For the vast majority of users, this will be brainless to setup. It is quite easy. I've been able to do some cool integrations, such as arming/disarming my Amcrest cameras when my Frontpoint is armed/disarmed. The Alarm.com backend is very robust and if you're clever enough, you can pretty much have it do anything. It works. It's a decent system. There's really nothing wrong with it once it's working. My son accidentally set the alarm off and the Frontpoint team was good. I forgot my password and they wouldn't turn the alarm off until I figured out what my password was, so that made me feel secure. I feel a lot safer now. However, when I bought the system, I thought I was gonna be able to use the app more but it was only a month of trial. And I wish that for the money I pay, I could still use that app. Nevertheless, I would recommend Frontpoint.

I chose Frontpoint because of their online reviews. I was a little bit disappointed in the fact that the rep was pretty much reading off the cart trying to sell me a product rather than figuring out what I actually needed. The installation was good other than the garage door sensors. Those are the tip-type and the sensor trips when they reach a certain angle. You mount them straight on the garage door face like the instructions say and it allows your garage door to come up about two feet before your alarm goes off even with the sensor being all the way at the very top where it’s supposed to be. You’re only gonna raise that door up a foot, roll underneath it, and drop it back down and at that point, the alarm would never go off. So I had to build two brackets that hold that those sensors only have to tipped slightly further and now, it goes off when it raises up only four inches.

I still have some more purchases to make as far some other additional pieces but the system is good. I like the fact that I can operate it from my cell phone. But we thought we were getting the touch pad. We were supposed to because that was what I talked with them about and what arrived was the the non-touchscreen style. When I called, the rep said they were out of the touchscreen ones and they would let me know when I would get one. That was how many months ago and I still haven't got another one. Also, the cost was high compared to the fact that it’s the same stuff that you get with any other system. I saw other systems afterwards and they all have pretty much identical pieces. I have two friends and neighbors that have two different systems and their hardware's the same.

When I did research on Frontpoint, I found them to have the most excellent customer service. When I had a concern and had to give them a call, they were able to address the concern right away rather than waiting for some guidance from a team leader. The installation was pretty straightforward as you learn it and it was more of DIY. The instructions were adequate. The digital screen is more old-school. But it’s running on a full GLPi and it’s not dependent on batteries. The app seems to be good but they don't have their own app. It goes through alarm.com. If they would have their own, that would be good for Frontpoint. Overall, the system seems to be fair in the market in terms of cost, and it's effective. Frontpoint seems to be pretty good and it works for me.

I purchased the basic system and it works just like any other system that I’ve had so I don’t have a need for cameras and everything seems to be fine. It would be nice though if they offered a really base price and it would not take too much to have internet notifications. My husband has been really paranoid about home security, especially since we have a new daughter. All our neighbors come and check in on our house every couple of weeks but he wanted more. And so he got a system from Frontpoint. We pay $50 for the system a month and to me that's reasonable. It was quick and easy to make changes to it if ever my husband wants to. He did an upgrade and he just mailed things and then the new one was mailed as well. And I like the features that we have on it. The panel is nice. It's a touchscreen and it has the weather. I can also deactivate and reactivate the system from my phone, which is a nice feature. We live in Savannah but I came up to Michigan for a couple of months because my husband is away so we haven't used the system as much but it's set.

A few weeks back, we had a neighbor come over to walk through the house really quick to make sure everything was fine. When I logged in to the Frontpoint app in order to deactivate the alarm so that she could go in, it said, “Front window broken”. But it didn’t alert me about that at all. And I hadn’t been on the app in a couple of weeks because people have been going in my house twice a month. So I started panicking and thinking whether someone broke into the house without me knowing. But my neighbor told me that the front glass didn't seem to be broken. It was strange that it said that. If the sensor was defective, why wouldn't it just say "defective sensor"?

I own a pawn shop and I looked through the Yellow Pages and found Frontpoint there. I love Frontpoint and it's working out well. It's something I've had for about six months now and I have had no issues up to this point, other than paying my bill and trying to figure out what my passcodes and passwords are. I've got too many numbers to remember. I've got three pawnshops and a bunch of rentals, and I got to remember digits to get in and out. I hope my wife got it all straightened out and I plan on putting my other two shops in the same system.

The rep sold me the system and I told him what doors and windows I had, and that I had a garage door. So, when that door went up, he had to sell me another type of door deal and it has worked out perfect. I had to download something on my wife's grandson's phone during the installation process and it went through a detailed thing, plus it had a thing in the package of what to do. It was an easy process. I didn’t have a smartphone at that time, but he did and he went right on through it. We were able to number each location.

There are a lot of companies like ADT that will not come out because it's a business and because of the location. They couldn’t help me in any way, but they could do my house that was two blocks away. It really sucked and they would charge me more per month too. Frontpoint works out great and I would give them an A+ as far as being able to install their own system or having a friend come by and help me do it. It's got a nice LED keypad and it's simpler than what I've got at my other pawnshops. They are only $12 more a month than the other company where I can't get any assistance from the guy that I bought it from 20 years ago. Frontpoint is a good system. I paid $9,000 for it, but it came with cameras.

I needed peace of mind and something to keep an eye on the house when I’m not around, and Frontpoint is a good system. I called and told them I was selling my previous home. I was leaving the system there and I needed to get a new one for my current home. The current home has an ADT system so some of the sensors work with the Frontpoint system and I just had to change the control panel. Then they gave me some extra window sensors and the price seemed good. The installation was straightforward and it took me less than half an hour.

With the old system I have in my old house, the smartphone app didn’t work great all the time and I’d have to crash the program to restart it a bunch. However, it’s been much more responsive since I’ve been to the new house. It works well and I didn’t have to restart it a single time. The features of the system are simple, basic, and user-friendly. It meets the needs that I want them and that's basically monitoring the doors and windows. I would like to add in some of the smoke detectors but they’re so expensive that I haven’t. Compared to other companies in the market, the door and window sensors are fairly equal. It’s the specialty sensors that seem to be a little out of my price range. Overall, and definitely compared to ADT, Frontpoint's value is much better.

I had to move to a rental location for medical reasons and could no longer own my home. And with Frontpoint, I really liked all the technology that was involved. I read some blog posts about technological security systems and Frontpoint not only had that angle, but they were also known for good customer service. That's something that was important to me, above and beyond gadgets.

Also, the sales experience was good. The guy who helped me was really good at explaining everything and walking me through what I may need. Since I had an older home with storm windows, we decided to do glass breaks versus the motion detector-type stuff. The guy was also able to take quite a bit of a discount off right away when I signed up so it made it less cost prohibitive for us to get into a system because it was around the holidays when I signed up. That was definitely appreciated.

The installation went smooth as well. However, there was one thing that didn't work well for me and it was the adhesive on the little door sensors. I even tried gluing it onto one of my doors but it kept falling off. So eventually I just took that one off. But otherwise, everything else was fine with the system. It was super easy to set up and was easy to disable as well. And the camera worked well, too. Having Frontpoint is an easy way to manage your house even you're not physically there, because of the app. The cost was a fair value for what I got.

Also, the cancellation process was smoother than I thought. The guy who helped me walked me through the transfer process so I was able to communicate that to our buyer and get them to take over the remainder of the contract. That worked out for me where some companies would've just wanted the $1,200 and would've just forced me to cancel so they could get the money, versus doing what's right for me. I would purchase from Frontpoint again if I ever have another home.

But there’s such a delay between clicking on the notice and then going into the pad, and at that point, the person is gone. It’s not a straightforward process. I wish they just told me to get the ring which does function like what I wanted. Overall, the Frontpoint reps have been good, but it takes so much longer on the phone to do things. Frontpoint was already in the house when we got here. When we signed up for the service again, they sent us a new keypad. We were using ADT in our old rental house and I hated it! Every year they would call and tell us that they're upping their prices and it was a lot. So when we bought our house, I did my research. Frontpoint was not only one of the first companies that came up when was researching home security systems, but they were also the one with the best reviews, like the least number of negative reviews and the price was about where we wanted it to be. So we decided to get their system.

I had a really good experience with their sales rep. The guy was really informative about the technology available. He also wasn’t extremely pushy about us upgrading to certain technologies. He told me that they have video recording systems just like any other. I told him that I'll have basic system first and then I'll see about upgrading to video systems. I didn't wanna put my eggs in one basket if I wasn't gonna like it. He was also like, “You’re gonna own this, you’re not renting equipment from us. You’re buying equipment, so it’s yours.” And that was a plus because I didn't wanna rent equipment. If I’m putting something in the house that I own, I wanna own the equipment that goes with it.

Then, the installment of the system didn't take me very long. It took me an hour to get all seven sensors situated. Then, one of my glass break sensors went wonky and when I called in, they sent me a new one so that I could send the old one back to get it fixed right away. It was awesome. That was great because I travel out to other countries very frequently due to my job and I’m gone a lot. So when I’m home, I need to get things done before I leave again. I was able to do everything while that was happening instead of having to wait.

And I love the features that I have with my system. I can lock and unlock my door and see if my door is unlocked. My best friend lives in our house with us, taking care of our dog and everything because we travel so much. She has the tendency of being in a rush to get out of the door and so sometimes she forgets to use the code to lock the door and I could just be like, “Okay, Jessy’s leaving the house at this time, let me double check.” And if she wasn't able to lock it, I will lock it. We also love that we were able to choose what our front door keypad looks like so that it actually went with our house instead of just being silver or whatever.

Right now, we really are enjoying what we’ve got from Frontpoint and it’s a really good price for us. In the next year or two, we are probably gonna upgrade to the video system and maybe add some other sensors in the house. And the customer service has always been good. I don’t ever feel like I’m bothering anybody just to call and ask a question really fast.

I have Frontpoint for a year and a half now and so far, their system is not working. When I installed it, the instructions didn't work that well and I had trouble getting the front doorbell set up. They finally got it set up and it worked for a minute. Then, it stopped. When the front door bell is pressed, it rings outside but it doesn’t ring in my home.

We used to have Spectrum in Florida and the security system was already installed by the previous owners, so we just bought it in and updated a couple of things. Meanwhile, I just put the sensors where I wanted them with Frontpoint and it was easy to put the sensors up. Also, the installation instructions given to me were straightforward. The features offered are comparable to anybody else, although my wife wants to have a doorbell security system which is a feature Frontpoint needs to add. Still, the smartphone features are quick and I can do what I need to do. Sometimes I use the app instead of using the board which is sometimes quicker. One time, I tripped one piece of equipment and it worked. I think this system offers good value for its cost.

I’ve had the Frontpoint system for six months now and I am looking to change the service. It’s a good company for a smaller apartment or if you just wanted token good security, but it’s not a good security if you have a larger property.

Their reps were professional and courteous. I did the installation myself, which was straightforward and easy. The most complicated part was having to install the panel into the wall, which my contractor did as they were switching out an old panel. I feel good about the features of the system. I just wish I didn’t have to pay extra for the app, being able to have that functionality on my phone. Unfortunately, that’s not in the basic package. Nevertheless, I feel good about having the service in general.

We got some gangs around the area and I was concerned so I decided to get some security. I saw Frontpoint on the internet and looked at the ratings. They were rated number one. I had positive interactions with their sales team. I installed the system myself and everything went fine. However, I've had to call Frontpoint a time or two. I had problems getting my outside camera to mesh with my Wi-Fi and I was pleased with the answers that I got that worked out. I had to put a Wi-Fi extender to get the Wi-Fi to reach where I want to put the camera. Other than that, most of the equipment came already meshed or programmed to the control pad.

I like the available features. I also bought the water sensor. I put it where I need to install it and it showed the links together so I was pleased with that. Frontpoint's smartphone features are good too. I can view my camera and see what the system's in. I went ahead and bought a couple of keychain remotes and we put them in our car keys. It's nice to be able to turn the system on and off or activate and deactivate from my phone or with the remote. As for the cost, it's a toss-up and with Frontpoint, I'm not paying a whole lot for the equipment but I'm paying a little bit higher monthly fees for the monitoring. With others, you pay a little bit less fee but you pay a lot more for the equipment so it just depends on what a person wants to do and I like what Frontpoint had to offer.

I have bolts and trailers and a lot of equipment sitting around in my backyard. I had some stuff stolen about eight years ago. They took about $1,000 worth of copper wiring so having Frontpoint, I feel a little bit safer. I'm pleased with the service of Frontpoint. They're quick about shipping the stuff when I order and I'm going back to them to get another equipment. It's a good solid system and it covers all the issues -- motion detector aspect, the water detections, to be able to see who's ringing the doorbell and have access from remote places. It has a lot to offer. I have recommended Frontpoint to other people.

I have a child and I wanted to make sure that they're safe while I’m at work and they’re at home after school. Frontpoint had good ratings, and the initial agent that I spoke to when I did my purchase was really good. He gave me the whole house system, including the indoor cameras and it was at a decent price for the services. He sent me all the information, and I can always reach him if I have any questions or if I wanna change anything. I have his cell, his email, his office number and his office schedule.

I had to call once to ask about the camera because when I got it, I forgot to ask if they monitored the indoor cameras. He was easy to get a hold of since as I called, he picked up. He helped me do each one of them individually, even though it was the same steps. The system is easy to use and I can monitor it online. I have the app and it alerts me if anything happens, like if one of the sensors isn’t closed. Frontpoint added one-touch features now to activate or deactivate the system, and they're really simple. You just tap the buttons and that arms or disarms it.

I liked Frontpoint's reviews online and that the system was simple to set up. Their reps were nice and calm, and wanted to answer my questions and give me all the information. They offered just about the right thing that I needed. The installation of the system was very easy. They sent a kit that is explained well and everything was very well packaged. When I got the box, I thought that they were spending too much money on the packaging to make it look very attractive. It was a huge box with beautiful colors and many smaller boxes inside, and the actual equipment is very small. Besides that, everything was well-organized and self-explanatory. I put together the system and I called to get somebody walk me through the instructions, and everything worked really well.

The features offered in my system are good and simple to use. There are various options I can use. The system can be set up from the main box in the house and from cell phones that people have through their app. Frontpoint's app is very simple as well and straightforward, and I like it. They informed me of everything they had and I was able to choose exactly the features that I wanted. I can also add more if I want later, and the same for setting up the box inside the house. I’m paying close to $50 a month but I have secured all my windows and the two main doors at the house, and it’s worth the $50 to feel that my house is secure in the middle of the night. The cost is not that expensive at all.

I would tell my friends to use Frontpoint. It’s a very state-of-the-art and contemporary system different than others. Also, every time I called them, they were very helpful. They had to explain to me a few things about my system that I forgot or didn’t really know about, and they spent the time. They were very patient, so everything is very clear and straightforward with them.

It's all double-sided taped. I have the touchscreen ones and they are nice, but I wish to upgrade to the app where I can alarm or disarm through an app. However, I've had an issue with the placement of the motion sensor. I move it to different places and it still triggers it for some reason. So now, I can't arm it "Away" and I arm it at "Stay" all the time.

I may end up getting some more window sensors to eliminate the motion sensor. The motion sensor is too sensitive, but aside from that, everything is good and the response is fast. The reps at Frontpoint were good. If the system failed or I needed something they were very helpful. Their customer service and their system are working great. I don’t have to have a landline. Having a home security system is kind of a requirement when living in Memphis. We got it in case of any incidents and it is one of the backup things that we hopefully never have to use. I went with Frontpoint for their online ratings and when I spoke with their customer support, they were straightforward and nice. They were quick to make deals on the hardware point when signing the two-year contract. I called their sales team and I tried getting questions about the installation process, cost and cancellation fees. I was also trying to see if it was worth it on that front. It was helpful knowing that we could install the system ourselves because we didn't have a lot of time to wait around for install people to come in when it's pretty straightforward doing it ourselves.

The installation was smooth. They gave good instructions in their box on how to set everything up. The only downside was the 3M tape that they used on some of their components. We had one of their window break sensors and everything was fine for the first couple of months, but then, based upon what replaced it, the sensor was above the door, so since the 3M tape was the only thing that was holding on to it, the window break sensor fell off on its own one day. It set the alarm off, thinking someone was breaking in and there was no way to mount it. We didn't have an option where you can mount it and it was only through the tape that it actually stays on the wall. So, the police came out and we told them that no one broke in.

We were able to get it resolved but I had to call their customer support and talk to them about the window break sensor because it wouldn't allow us to set our alarm system and it was preventing us from setting it. It was saying that the door was open, but instead, it was the window break sensor complaining. They were able to help us fix it without having to send it in. Overall, the system we got has about everything that I would want. We went a route of paying the monitoring alarm system through them and then adding some additional security cameras on our own.

Also, we like the smartphone features. We use it to disarm and arm it all the time. It is one of the features that was unexpected that works out very well for us. We really like the convenience, being able to leave home and arm the system before we leave. Or if someone is coming over and has a key, we can disarm it without having to tell them the password.

Frontpoint’s cost is a little on the high side but comparing and going through other companies, it is worth it for the hassle with everyone else. I've already recommended Frontpoint to friends as well because they've had other security companies that they have not been happy with at all. We are more comfortable having Frontpoint in our home. It is nice knowing that we have the alarm when we are asleep and that if someone was to break in, it would at least wake us up from that and we wouldn't have to do anything to call the authorities. It would just happen on its own.

We were needing a home security so I did some research and Frontpoint came on top of the list. I tried to compare-contrast them with ADT and Vivint, but I still went with Frontpoint. When I first called them to inquire about their services, I spoke to a gentleman and told him I had to call back because I haven’t moved to the new home yet. When I called back, he no longer worked with the company. So I had to re-explain and talk about all the features that I was looking for with several other people. And so, I finally got down to receiving everything.

So far, I’m satisfied with their service. I’ve had several motion sensors before, but this is the first alarm security system of this magnitude that I’ve had. However, I had called in because I had questions about the equipment. It was set up and there were several false alarms. I asked for the swap since we were out for several door sensors. So there was that back and forth of the technical side versus the customer service due to the cost of everything and trying to come down to figuring out what was my best need. The customer service doesn’t have the same hours as the technician so it was very hard to talk to both of them at the same time to resolve an issue. At that time, I did not know much about the system and didn’t have confidence in it yet. But the technicians that were helping me through some of the problems seemed proficient and tried to be communicative.

Also, quality-wise, things are working well as is. The ones that I have up since I removed the sensor that was bad seem to work okay. I haven’t been able to finish the design of the motion and what door sensors that I wanted though, so I’m still at that point. I had several deaths in the family and wasn’t able to finish the full setup of everything. But eventually, I would have to talk to Frontpoint with regards to having an extra door sensor or extra motion that I wanted to swap out for the inset door sensor. I also have questions about the duration of the contract and the cost to owning the equipment versus being locked into a contract with the company for three years which I thought was a lot. But overall, Frontpoint's a solid company. Just be aware of all the things that you’re looking for before you contact them so the explanation and the package that you’re trying to build is complete versus the back and forth.

I just bought a brand-new house. I was searching around online to find the most economical with the most features and Frontpoint stood out for me. So, I went ahead and purchased the system. After I went online and requested more information, a customer representative called me two hours later. He walked through the diagram of my house with me to tell me which certain points I should set up the system. And then he went ahead and sent me the contract online. Then, I signed it and they sent out the system. Since I live in Hawaii, it took a little bit longer for it to get to me.

Once I got it, the hardest thing for me was setting up my video camera. It took a little while for my IP address to kick in but as I got that registered, it was good to go. Also, I saw online they have the touch panel but the system that he sold me didn’t have the touch panel, so I upgraded touch panel about a few days later. That came and it was a easy swap over. I haven’t looked back since.

My whole family got the app on our phones. So, I could be going to bed at night and I would click on the little app to arm it while I’m at home, or when I leave out of my garage, I'll arm the system and disarm it before I come in. And I can see my family at the house and talk to them through the little camera. So, it’s pretty convenient. Also, I have window sensors, a storage shed in my backyard, and a motion detector in my garage, so I feel completely secured. I’m completely 100% satisfied with my stuff.

I used to be an ADT customer, so switching from ADT and all the high costs, not to mention just the hoopla I had to go through to get it installed, I'm very happy for me to install Frontpoint myself and know all my equipment. As well as the upgradability of the system, where I could go ahead and get smart features if I want to interact on with my touch console. I’m really happy with this experience.

He also told me to call him and he will set it all up at the end. It was cool but I don’t fully know all the features of the system because I have no time to sit and learn. I wanna know how to turn the sound of the alarm up but to call, I have my priority list and there’s not enough online help about that system. I have looked everywhere and they have sent me every PDF that exists, but those were their basic features, even the way we used it. I wish to have a user handbook with more of the features that are available on it.

When I was talking to one sales rep during our set-up call, I told him what I wanted to do and I asked how I would do it. He had to find out if we could do what we wanted to and he said that I gotta do it by doing those buttons. More online help would be nice, like a better user guide and videos. They teach us on the phone how to bypass the sensor if we wanna bypass, but we won't remember what they told us after a month and we can’t go online and find it. We have to call again.

ADT was one of the people we got, but things ended up on a cold trail. My friend used them and she said that their system was such a delay. One time, their alarm went off and their neighbor called them before ADT did. But when our alarm goes off, we got 30 seconds to turn it off, but Frontpoint calls before 30 seconds every time. I tried to stop it, but they called me too fast. I literally called to cancel it. So, the 3rd time I did it, I right away called to cancel even though I stopped the alarm thing, and it was silly they called me before I got through to cancel. The response time is super-fast and anytime I’ve had an issue, they have been super helpful.

I had a different home security before that my father installed a long time ago and I realized I wasn't getting enough worth for how much I was paying. Then, I came across Frontpoint and I found them fairly fine so I joined them. Since then, I really enjoyed their service. Frontpoint has very helpful and very kind sales representatives. They were on top of their service the entire time. They were straight to the point and the process wasn’t very complicated so I'm very satisfied. The installation of the system was very easy and it took a matter of minutes. The installers also walked me through every step. So far, the equipment’s quality is good. Its features are easily accessible through my phone and it's very user-friendly. Also, I use the smartphone feature all the time. I recommend Frontpoint to friends and tell them to switch over it or join if they don't have an alarm system.

Frontpoint had a very high customer satisfaction rating on the internet and it was more of the type of system that I was looking for so I went with them. Installation was very easy to do and if I had questions, their reps were able to direct me through it quite easily. The instructions that they provided were very good. They were very good at walking me through the system.

I’ve had problems with my fire alarm. It got hot and fell off the ceiling because we were not there. And then, we just sat it up high in the home because I don’t trust that Velcro. It makes it hard because my son has to run over when I have a problem like that. And it did it again but I didn’t send the fire department over that time. We knew it didn’t fall down and we believe it just got too hot in there. So we’ve been running the air conditioner since and we haven’t had a problem. We just set it at 80 and that seemed to cure that problem. Frontpoint has good features. I'd tell friends that Frontpoint would make them a good system.

We already had a home security system which wasn’t satisfying to our needs so we switched. My husband did the research and liked Frontpoint. I called them once when I first started setting the system up and they were very helpful, nice, cooperative and patient because a lot of it required taking a picture and sending it to them. We also got all of the extra, like sticky tape which we thought might help with the installation.

However, we never got to install the system because it is a self-install. There’s a big gap between where the actual door frame is and where the door closes so we didn’t have enough foam to be able to stick it outward. We worked on a project to get more foam from Lowe’s. It's laying somewhere around the house but we never got around to it. My husband travels for work, I work from home and we have a two year old so the little project is very difficult. Although I haven't had a dissatisfying experience with the company or their customer service, I still wouldn’t recommend Frontpoint to a friend because of the difficulty to install. I don’t know if my friends would be up for that type of challenge. Also, I wish they had satellite installers. That would be something I would be willing to pay for.

A co-worker recommended Frontpoint and the person we talked to during the initial set up was super helpful. Then we did the installation ourselves and it was super easy. Frontpoint is also a lot cheaper that the other alarm companies and we probably don’t even use the features to their full advantage but what we use, we like. So for the value and the customer care that we’d gotten, we've liked Frontpoint.

I’ve dealt with good people in verification. They want to be there and they want to help. I’m a single parent and my child is about to be driving age and I needed to purchase a security system to catch him if he’s trying to sneak out of the house. I did an internet search for the best quality for the price by consumers and Frontpoint was rated the highest. Their rep was amazing and he answered all questions. The sale was easy and there was no pressure. The setup was super easy too and we were able to do it by ourselves. There was one door that we screwed up and it wouldn’t connect and the customer service rep told us exactly what to do.

The system was laid out really well. They sent it in boxes that were clearly labeled and the instructions were very straightforward saying “Go through the house” in a specific order. So I knew where each number is located and it also identifies the security of Frontpoint, which door and number matched up with what. It was very easy to follow and it was very clear. Also, the little sticky things are easy to put on and because my windows and door jambs are white, it blends right in and I don’t see them at all.

The system has wifi capability and any window and door chimes as soon as it's opened and closed. It’s great to be able to set or monitor it while I’m out or unset it right before I drive up. We’ve been notified when my handyman has come by and I’ve given him the code that he forgot and he walked in. It’s nice to get the phone calls and it’s great to be monitored via the telephone because a cellphone is something almost everybody has with them 24/7. So far, Frontpoint has been wonderful and it definitely achieved what I wanted it to do.

But they gave me a card for a 20% reduction for early purchase of add-ons and I’d like to add a door latch and possibly a camera but when I tried to find out what the add-ons were, I couldn’t find the webpage. It may be a special webpage but it’s not on the card and it doesn’t seem to be accessible from their main webpage.

The system was easy to install and it should have worked but I got sidetracked. I’m still working so I’m residing in New Jersey and my wife was down in Florida where the system is installed. I never got a chance to test and arm it. When my wife tried to do it, it didn’t arm correctly. The Frontpoint reps tried to walk my wife through it but every time we arm the system, it goes off although it doesn’t show anything tripped. My wife has made four calls for this but that's understandable because she’s not very technical. And unfortunately, I'm not in a position to solve it. The system is still not activated and the unfortunate part is my wife is also up here right now. But the problem may well be our fault. The next time I get down there, I will see if I can straighten it out.

I wasn't happiest about the installation of the system and part of that was due to my window construction, but some of the sensors took a while to link up no matter how close I got them to each other. And then, I found one sensor that has an issue in which if the sliding glass door's a little bit not closed, it won’t have an alarm. I've reached out to Frontpoint just to silence the alarm or tell them that it was a false alarm. Other than that, the control panel is basic so it's acceptable for the price. Also, Frontpoint's smartphone features are easy to use to set and disarm the system. Overall, Frontpoint is reasonably priced for a decent security system.

It is also cellular-based and not Wi-Fi-based. My whole house is a smart home and so the system works well in my house.

The interaction with the reps of Frontpoint was great. Their customer service was one of the reasons I chose them. The installation was easy as well. Although the biggest complaint that I have is having to prep the doors and windows twice to go to sleep to sometimes accidentally just press the doors and windows or motions. Another complaint is that sometimes if I'm on the other side of my house and I accidentally set the alarm, I don’t hear it for a while because it's a little bit soft. Even so, I like the quality of the system of Frontpoint. It is one of the better home security systems on the line right now with the price point that it's at and it has the mobility that you can take it wherever you want.

If you lose your phone and you're logged in, someone could get straight into your alarm. I think you should have to sign in every time you go into the app. I have one other suggestion. With our old system, when you put the code in, if you put the code in backwards, it signaled to the monitoring station that you are under duress.

During the installation, there were some issues with some of the sensors but that was just because our doors didn't align properly. Otherwise, the installation was easy and anytime that my husband couldn't get something to work and we didn't understand something, the Frontpoint people could talk him through it well. My friends said it was great because they were able to see who was coming in the house, who was leaving, and they were able to open it before they got to the house. And that's a lot better to know that we can open it before we come into the house. Also, the system was priced appropriately. I was also with them on the phone the whole time that I was doing the installation. They told me to put this on this door and then put it on this so I can get the whole room. The installation was pretty easy except when I got stuck because it wasn’t recognizing some of the window sensors when they would open and close during the test. I called and I didn't have to go through a bunch of qualms or wait on hold for a long time to get in contact with someone to help me troubleshoot my equipment during setup and we got it ironed out.

The quality of the equipment is good but I wish their magnets were a little secure so that I could place the sensor and the magnet on two sides of the door a little further apart. I have big molding around my doors so it's not as easy to get the magnet close to the sensor when the door jamb opens and shuts. Also, once I go over my allotment of how many times the doorbell camera captures motion and stored the 30-second video on their Cloud, it doesn't save any more 30-second videos. If you don't buy a package that has enough space and if somebody breaks in your house, you can't see those 30-second logs so you're screwed and that's crappy.

I like their app. It's really nice but I wish that I used their security system just for the features of if someone broke in the door or windows. If somebody asks me about Frontpoint, I would tell them to get the lowest price and not get their doorbell camera. Buy the cameras on your own or do a DIY and just do your own security system. There's a cheaper version for better interface with the police and fire department. Once I get out of the contract, I'll probably go that route.

Also, the equipment's quality is good but the motion sensors aren’t that great. Looking around, Frontpoint seemed to be the best option. Everybody has been extremely helpful and easy to work with. I’ve subscribed with everything I wanted. I'd recommend it!

I moved into a home by myself and I was away all day. When I looked up the top home security systems on the internet, Frontpoint was one of the best-rated ones. I liked the price range and although I had never heard of them before, I gave it a shot. I liked the ease of installation. It was hassle-free for me in every way. I just called and they gave me a good package then I was on my way. They asked exactly what I wanted and what I had in my home then they gave me a customized offer. They offered me some sensors and the doorbell camera, and I was able to get all those.

They sent me a box and I got the system all set up. I had a couple of questions and they sent me some videos. In fact, every time I have a question, the reps at Frontpoint are there to answer. I also got an upgrade on my service so it was good. The installation with the adhesive stick was a bit difficult because I could only mess up once and I don't do it everyday. I had to buy an adhesive stick to put on the little sensors. But everything else was easy and the security system is very reliable. I've set the alarm off a couple of times. So far, the quality of the equipment is good and I like that the features offered in the system are super easy to use on the mobile app. I'm having a good time with Frontpoint and I'm only paying about $37 so it's not too bad. I'd definitely recommend them. I even got my parents the same system that I'm paying for.

I like the simplicity and the price of Frontpoint. They did a good job, and they explained everything pretty thoroughly. I was then happy with my experience based on what they told me so it was accurate. The installation was very easy, too. I, however, have one complaint, which was related to the security cameras. They have to be on a wireless network that I needed to buy, but that was something that I was not made aware of. I thought that it could be used with cellphone towers as well. Nevertheless, I'd recommend them.

We used Checkpoint in the past and we let that contract expire. Then we switched to Frontpoint since the price point was where we wanted it. We’ve also been broken into a couple of times so we needed the security system. Their reps were fantastic and any time we'd call with any kind of question, they'd walk us through whatever process we were in the middle of, whether it was the installation or trying to set up numbers. So, it was a really easy process for us. Now, we have a better idea about who’s coming and going, and how often the front door is being opened for a guest or if somebody is coming to the back door. And if somebody gets too close to the door, the alarm goes off.

I love the features of our Frontpoint system. I love the fact that it has a glass break and the motion sensors. Just in case I get past one of that, the other one is there to protect the house. We installed the equipment ourselves and we followed the instructions on the internet. It took us 30 minutes total to complete the installation and once we signed in to the app, it was as easy as it could be.

I moved into a new place and it’s near a football stadium. With so many people coming in and out of the area I thought a home security system would be a good idea. Frontpoint had good reviews and I liked the idea of wireless. I didn’t want to have people come in and have to get into the walls. Their sales person was very pleasant, knowledgeable, informative and I didn’t feel schmoozed with sales talk. I started to install the system and I needed so many repair people to come in and out that I thought it was a bad idea to do it. And then I had family come in and out. So that’s gonna be something I get to in July. But as far as the control panel is concerned the installation was easy.

Frontpoint's customer service representatives have been good. When I went through the initial set-up and got the things worked out initially, my experiences were all good and positive. The installation was also very good. Everything was straightforward and clean. I ran into one little issue but I called them up and easily walked through. But I feel like their standard technology is old and outdated, and the cost is high, relative to the quality of the system. And I’ll probably do something when this contract runs out because I have had trouble with the camera. The volume works about half the time in one of them and they’re not always online. They seem to have to reboot quite a bit. So the camera operation is not the best.

The main control panel is also not up to today’s standards. It’s old and it doesn’t give you the impression of it being the latest and greatest. They have an upgrade but that costs additional money. The panels are also not attached and I don't necessarily care for it. But other than that, it works similarly to others. Their smartphone features are very similar to something I had before with another company though and that's pretty standard. There are things I don't like about Frontpoint but there some things that I do.

I had a new home and I wasn’t familiar with the area. It's a gated community but I wanted to feel a little bit more secured. My father-in-law had gone through Frontpoint for two of his homes and he suggested and I just went with it. When I was setting up my motion detectors it went through sensor one, sensor two, sensor three and then for whatever reason my motion detector didn’t go from motion detector one, two, and three. It started of at four and went to five and six. There was no way that I can fix that in the app and I still don’t know how to fix that so it was kind of weird. I haven't had any time to tell them about it. But otherwise, Frontpoint was detailed enough when I installed it and the entire thing took 10 minutes to set up. The equipment is great and the system is straightforward and easy to use.
