My husband and I bought a new house in the suburbs of Chicago and felt it was necessary to have a security system. We had Time Warner cable in Ohio and we were happy with them but they were not in our area so that wasn’t an option. My husband started to look at other things and found Frontpoint. Their sales rep was great, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, useful and informative. There was no pressure with them. And so far, the system's great.

My husband and I weren’t living in the house for a few months and we had the security system up so we could check on it. I like that the cameras got a speaker on it. When we weren’t living in the same house because he was travelling here and I haven't moved yet, I could talk to him and look at him. So it was fun. We also use the smartphone features when we're away from the house. It’s very easy, and it’s good that it’s not tied to the cable ‘cause we’ve had outages in our cable before then it stops working. Nevertheless, I'd tell others about the ease of having Frontpoint.

Frontpoint was not too expensive and everybody has been nice. The only thing is the sensors for the doors keep falling off and they won’t stick right on the door. Also, the alarm system went off when we just got it. I was sleeping and the company called me and asked me for my password, then I re-set the alarm. The response time was very quick. Frontpoint is good overall.

I purchased Frontpoint for a funeral home and I'm very satisfied with it at this point. I also have it in my home, and I have had no problems. We used to have ADT, and I didn't like the service that ADT was giving us. Their pricing was outrageous and when I had asked someone to come out to take a look at the unit because it kept continually beeping, the tech who came out told me he didn't know what was wrong with it, and I should call for another service call for another technician.

Frontpoint's cost is much better. We did the installation of our system and it was very easy. Our equipment is fine. They even have a feature where if you forget to turn on your alarm, they will send you a notice to turn it on. I upgraded my system here at my home. And I wish that, in the beginning, they had told me about some of their features such as being able to turn the alarm on and off from a different point with your cellphone. You can't do that at the funeral home. You actually have to go inside the funeral home and turn it off. But in my home, I have the mobile feature. I might eventually upgrade the one at the funeral home, too. Overall, I appreciate Frontpoint's response whenever the alarm goes off. I was robbed here in my home, and we had a different alarm company, and no one notified me at all. Frontpoint on the other hand has been very proactive.

I was with my first home security system for years. They treated me good up to the phone came, but I didn’t understand why they didn’t let me pay nothing until I moved back in my house and then consume with my alarm. They made me pay a bill for the whole time I wasn’t living in my house because it was on the flood. I don’t know why they did that because I was out of my house for about a year, and I didn’t understand why they made me pay for something that wasn’t working. It wasn’t saving any person. I then decided to go with somebody else.

With Frontpoint, everybody who I talked to have been excellent with me. My son put up the system and it took him not even five seconds. The device I got is good. When I open up the door, I hear what I wanna hear. Everything was great. I told a friend who has the same thing but from a different company that mine is good, but cheaper. I was paying $54, but now I pay $47.

The Frontpoint pricing was fair and their salesman was really nice and understanding. I needed help in installing the camera, so I called customer care for that and they walked me through it all. It was helpful and really easy. For the most part, the installation was straightforward. I like the features that my system has. I have a few of the door stuff, camera, and stuff for the glass and windows and they’re good quality. Since having Frontpoint, I’ve definitely had peace of mind, especially when I'm away from home. I have my dog at home and I worry for him. I just came back from a San Diego trip and throughout the trip, I was able to see what my dog was up to. Also, there have been times when I forgot to lock the door but the alarm has always been on.

Over other security providers, Frontpoint got a lot of good online reviews. The installation of the system was straightforward. Also, every time that I have had to call, the customer service was great. When I ordered a couple of pieces of equipment and I couldn’t add it to my app, I called them to add it right away and it started working. The system's features and quality are very good.

My previous home security provider was reluctant to provide me things. I needed an upgrade to my cameras. I saw a Frontpoint advert and I decided I would switch to them. They had very good customer service and I was very pleased with the cordialness. They were able to include my cameras and everything. The installation of the system was easy. Taking into consideration some of the door styles, I had a slight bit of problem. However, it was my ineptness that a screw is enough to put two stickies together. I also called Frontpoint about the cameras and they answered right away. It was great.

The overall function that I like about my system is the Wi-Fi part of it. It made me able to observe my home and operate my system from my phone. It was really the selling point for me. My other system didn't offer that. Then, because of the ease of access through my phone and the in- and out-of-house security function of it, I sleep better. I use the system more because of the ease of it. I also love the smartphone features. They're very up-to-date. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint.

I looked up a few home security systems and I found that Frontpoint was good based on the reviews. I installed the system on my own and it was very easy. I had to call in though because one of the sensors, the one that's for the garage, was not good. It doesn't work fine with the app right now, although the other sensors are okay and really active. It also makes a weird sound when it rings and there is no way I can keep the volume up and down. Despite that, the phone that syncs with the system is good. I use the app most of the time to arm or disarm the system. The system is everything that I asked for.

Cost-wise, Frontpoint's system was okay at first. Now if I compare it with others, it's on the higher side because we have Ring and Google that are giving really good prices. Although there weren't good options with the system before, my experience has been good. I might need to check with their team regarding some questions about billing, but overall I'm happy with the product and I definitely feel safer with it in my home.

We had ADT and we told them that the battery was sending us messages to replace it. I called them up, and they said that they could come out and change the battery, but there was a service fee. I told them that I’ve been a customer for 15 years and I’m not gonna pay them to come out and change a battery on their equipment. So, we decided to change and get a more updated system. We did research on companies and Frontpoint was highly rated. Also, their customer service got high marks on reviews which was how we made our decision.

Our interaction with the rep was all good from the beginning, so we had no complaints. Installing the system was not hard and it wasn’t something we couldn’t do. We did it with the instructions provided although it took some time. We’re a business and we have overhead doors. We gotta get ladders and put motion sensors on the door. We have overhead garage doors and a lot of our motion sensors are falling off now. So, we're gonna need some new adhesives but we foresaw that happening and we’re not too disappointed.

I wanted a quote and was talked into purchasing over the phone, with the reassurance that I can cancel within 30 days in order to receive a full refund. I reviewed the contract after ordering and absolutely hated the terms (they charge SO MUCH if you want to cancel early) so I called to cancel. They didn't apply my cancellation. I called again a week or so later to make sure they'd really canceled, because I hadn't seen my refund. I called again after they charged the first month to my card, even after I'd made it very ** clear that I have canceled service and want a full refund. I was assured that I'd see my refund in a few days, once it cleared the bank. I am now waiting for my refund to appear. It's been 2 months since I first made that ill-fated order. I just can't believe I ever gave them a credit card number. My next steps are to contact the BBB and speak with my state Dept of Consumer Affairs.

I’ve been a Frontpoint customer for about six years now and have had nothing less than an exceptional experience. From technical support to customer service, there’s no wonder why this company is rated #1! Word of caution however. If Frontpoint forgets that their customers are the foundation of their success and begin disrespecting customers similar to Vivint, I will not think twice to look elsewhere as I have done in the past. I'm from the city but my fiancé is from the suburb so she was hesitant about moving to the city. One of the stipulations was that we had to get a security system. I started looking and it was between Frontpoint and one other company. They both had the same features that we wanted but the availability was a big part of our decision. Also, they wanted the money upfront and it was like $300 with Frontpoint compared to $1,200. On top of that, the customer service was really nice. That's not a big flashy point but sometimes, customer service can go a long way.

I called a number and the representative answered all my questions. He gave me all the facts and then let me make my decision. He told me he would give me some time to talk it over with my fiancé and he did exactly that. He called me about two weeks later but he didn't shove anything down my throat. Not pressuring me is a big thing that I like. As far as the other company, they were like, "You should go with us right now. Our sale doesn't last long. You need to make a choice now." It was that type of thing.

When I talked to the Frontpoint representative, he let me know what was and what was not included. There were no hidden things. With Guardian on the other hand, they would install the first window free and then they would hit you with all these hidden charges. We have a one-story house and we had pets so the Frontpoint representative recommended I get the sensors for the house. The sensors were really easy to install. In fact, the instructions for the installation of the system were clear. They gave little pamphlets for each thing which was cool. The alarm panel came with one and even though the doorbell was a pain in the butt to install, it came with easy and clear-cut instructions as well.

I'm tech-savvy but not handyman-savvy. It's an old brick home and I had to run a doorbell wire myself. I had to get a drill bit. That came with the system so they give you all the hardware that you would need. But it wasn't big enough for my drill. But besides the doorbell, installing everything else was a fantastic experience. All we really needed were the door sensors and the security camera though. We also got the touchscreen but for the features that it had, it wasn't worth the extra money for us. The panel's a little outdated. So we sent that back and that was hassle-free. And other than that, everything was top-tier.

My Frontpoint salesperson was outstanding, and anybody else I've talked to was great too. I've asked a few questions and they’ve always answered them very quickly and easily, even through email. I had Ackerman Security in my old home. I had a "what you see is what you get" unit on the wall, which served its purpose, but so does Frontpoint. I like my Frontpoint experience. I have been able to call and get somebody at any point. I can use an app on my phone, which is great. I can do a remote disarm and arm, and in that regards, Frontpoint is better than the system I had at Ackerman. Frontpoint is also fair-priced. Although Ackerman was a lot cheaper, I didn't have the bells and whistles that I have with Frontpoint.

I did the installation myself and it was easier than I thought. The system is holding up well with one exception. I have a window in my basement and because it got very cold very quickly, the contact says that there was a malfunction on it. I took it down and called somebody. They walked me through getting it fixed. I put it back up and it connected, but it says it’s not connected, which is very strange.

The alarm has gone off while I was here, but I caught it before it got too long. My mother-in-law has also broken the alarm. She came in and broke it, but she didn’t reset the alarm, so I set it on my phone and didn't do the delayed entry. The police have come out a couple of times as well, and luckily, I haven't been charged anything yet. The response time has been good though. It has been adequate for what we’re doing here. If you are in the market for a security system, go ahead and do Frontpoint. It might replace something you have and it will be very user-friendly for you.

I got into a new condo and I wanted to put a security system in it as there was none when I moved in. Everything about my interaction with the Frontpoint sales reps was wonderful. I got the package and I set it up. All the directions in it worked fine. My system has everything I need and it has the motion detectors and the thing at the front door. I don’t set it when I’m inside because of the motion detectors and unless the dog and I have left. When I have some trips that I take, I set it when the dog goes into a tunnel. Moreover, the cost was very good for what I got. Although two beeps scare my dog, Frontpoint is terrific and I am very satisfied with them.

The payments with Frontpoint were lower and the equipment was a lot cheaper compared to other home security companies. I did a bit of research on Frontpoint before I purchased my security system in my home and the representative was good. He was very courteous and professional. The installation was overwhelming at first, but I looked at some videos online where Frontpoint had already had somebody setting it up with the video. After that, it was simple. I even called them with the video and somebody on the phone helped out a lot. The instructions that came with the system was a little complicated at first, but, later on, the video and the phone brought it down to where it was a lot more simple than I thought it was gonna be. I got the standard features in the system and I am happy with them.

I used the smartphone features when I had a little trouble with one of the items. I called and I used the app for the representative to help me with what was going on. He told me the item was a little faulty and the only thing I had to do was do a little tinkering here and there, and the equipment was fine. The cost of the system is fair and it is nothing overwhelming to where it seemed to be more of a bill than a security. My wife and I feel a bit safer with Frontpoint.

Frontpoint was on the list of the top 10 and best in the country I know and I purchased the system to secure my house. I travel all over the country and I am on the road all the time. Now, I feel safe that my house is covered by Frontpoint. The customer service representatives I dealt with were really good too. They're really easy to get a hold of and they've helped out with everything that we've needed. They told me to call when I was installing it. The instructions for the installation was really self-explanatory and easy to follow. But I did call them and they helped me through the sealed system. They explained everything and were great.

Hopefully, I'll eventually start getting some cameras and go with a little bit more sophisticated system shortly. But for now, I have a basic system and I like how they got it packaged. For the price we're paying, everything that came with the package is good. So far, the quality of the equipment is excellent also. The is stuff that they would use and mount to the wall and I haven't had that fall off yet. Then in terms of the system itself, I understand it and it's great. I also like it because I'm able to keep track of things on my phone. The smartphone features are really easy to use. If you wanna secure your house, the feature goes right to it. You don't have to go around a bunch of hoops to get to it. I would recommend Frontpoint highly.

We purchased Frontpoint when we moved to a new home and I liked them better than our previous home security provider. I like the entire package and I love that when I researched security, it has always between Frontpoint and ADT. ADT seemed to charge a stand-on while they've been in business since the 1800s and here is a new start-up company that was pretty much wiping their business away.

I’ve had numerous interactions with the reps at Frontpoint from the actual sale to them helping me with set-up and helping me through issues and it had always been fantastic. The installation was easy and the instructions were also fantastic. The features are at par for what I would expect out of a frontrunner in the security industry and they are doing everything well.

I use the smartphone features all the time. It could use a bit of tweaking to make it better, but I am happy with it. I’ve renamed all of my sensors to specify what they are and on the keypad unit, it shows all of those, but on the app, it doesn’t show those, so it will tell me I’ve got three sensors open as opposed to what three are actually open. Nonetheless, I still feel secure with Frontpoint as I did with ADT. The one selling point I kept seeing is something I've now experienced and it's the customer service which is a point of business that is being left behind. But Frontpoint had gone over and above on customer service and it's great to see that they are providing fantastic customer service.

The Frontpoint security system was already in our home when we bought it. We used ADT's home security system in the past, but compared to it I love our Frontpoint system and it's easy to use. When I first got our subscription, the sales reps sent me a a whole new set-up, including a new panel and new equipment except the door sensors, because the previous people didn’t leave their code. The features offered in our system are great and I like them all. I have multiple exterior doors on the system and I like that my sliding door is on it. I also have a motion sensor. But at some point, I'm gonna add cameras once I can afford to buy them.

The installation was very simple and it was done with the Frontpoint people on the phone. it was very easy to install the door alarms and other security equipment, but I wanted to set up a few more features in our home originally. I wanted an additional door sensor put in my downstairs storage area, but I couldn’t figure out how I could get that to sync up with the system, and I had to call customer service for some advice. The reps were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they walked me through how to do this. They also walked me through setting up a motion sensor in our home. I wanted to move the motion sensor from where we had it before so that it wouldn’t capture the motions of our dog and they helped me work with it. Our dog stays inside all day and goes all over the house, and we've yet to have the motion sensor go off with her inside, so that has been great.

The overall functionality and performance of our system is fantastic. I have the app and the key fob, so I've been able to check alerts and different things from my phone. I've used the app before when I couldn’t remember if I had set the alarm or not and I've also used it from my room which is not in near proximity to the panel. When my alarm is set and if the downstairs door which is in a different part of the house is open, the system alerts my phone. It is in an area that I can't monitor closely and I set the system so I can see if anybody is going in and out of there without me knowing. So, even if I'm at work, I can tell if somebody like my husband is going in or out of that door. I can also sense if any of the doors are open at any time. I'm able to turn the alarm on and off from outside my door when I'm unlocking. My being able to do that from my phone is nice because I can be at work and when our college-age son and his friends come by to ride jet skis or do different things, I can turn the alarm off and they can get in and then I could turn it back on when they leave.

For our homeowner’s insurance, we needed to have smoke detectors and a heat detector installed. They've worked great and I was able to get a discount on my homeowner’s insurance. Also, the cost of the system is reasonable, even if my husband doesn’t like that I spend money on it, but I like it because I stay by myself often. As a matter of fact, I have recommended Frontpoint.

I called when I installed the system and they directed me to a video that I needed to watch which showed me how to do it myself. The instructions were all transparent and it was nothing hard. They told me what to do and I did it. Frontpoint gave me a package, and they had everything in there. However, they said I was gonna get one motion sensor for each room but they only gave me one, leaving a couple out. Other than that, it was fine. I use the smartphone features everyday and it’s perfect. I could walk out of my house and use my phone to set or disable the alarm. Frontpoint is cheaper than ADT and they’re just the same thing. They got great stuff in the service and everything is good.

We bought a new house and decided to use Frontpoint. They had an easy self-installation and was more affordable. The guy that we communicated with when we purchased the system was spot on and was able to answer our questions. The installation was very simple to do, but I had some issues getting a couple of sensors to connect and I had to have customer service help me but they were able to help quickly.

The cost and overall quality of the Frontpoint system seem good and I haven’t had any issues with it, so far. Though their motherboard seems a little less techy than my previous home security, everything else looks pretty comparable. The smartphone feature is easy to use and works perfectly fine. But we have a carbon monoxide detector, and I’m not getting any feedback from it in the app. Other than that, it's definitely more comforting having the Frontpoint system.

My husband works away a lot and I wanted to feel a little bit more secure in our home. I was looking around for a security system and then, I saw Frontpoint. They called and gave me a bunch of information. I liked what I heard, it was reasonably priced and we went with it. The rep worked with us. He was wonderful, very kind and patient. I love the customer service that I got. The guy we were talking to was available if we needed him and he explained the installation a little bit to me before we got it. My husband was able to look up on YouTube how do it and it was very simple. The equipment has never let us down. When the electricity goes off, it still does its job and everything that the rep told us that would happen was true to what it is. It’s good quality. The doorbell camera is wonderful and we enjoy having that. It’s easy to fix if the electricity goes out or something happens with the WiFi. It lets you know by blinking and we’ve never had any issues with it.

I had a good plan in place for the system. The rep was patient and waited a few days for my husband to get home to look and my husband changed it up a little bit. We did what worked best for us at the moment and later on, we would add more cameras and other stuff. Whatever my husband changed, it was easy to move around and maneuver. The system was very affordable and it didn’t break my bank which was what I wanted. Frontpoint has all kinds of varieties of things to what you need and you can always add on. People should give them a call.

The instructions were easy and the features were simple and easy to understand. I like the feature where I'm able to turn the system on and off from my phone. Also, there have been times that I set the alarm off by accident and as soon as I put in the key, I don’t have to worry about the police being called. No false alarms. However, the system went off one time when I didn’t have my back door locked completely, and the motion set off. The team at Frontpoint called to let me know that there was movement from downstairs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint. They’re doing what they’re supposed to do.

I'm trying to live in my own place and I haven’t been living away from my parents for that long. And even though I'm in a pretty safe apartment complex in a good part of the town, it's in my personality to expect worst case scenario so I thought it was very important to have a home security device. I was comfortable with the monthly payment that I was able to get from Frontpoint. We got two sensors in that system which was a fair deal. The guy who was helping me knew how to set the system up for me. Also, the directions were not confusing at all, so I was happy about that.

I got the plug in thing and they told me if someone tampered with it, it would alert the Frontpoint staff and they would call me. Before I leave the house, I would hit doors and windows. And when I come home, I would enter the password immediately. It would give me a 30-second window, so it's very easy to use. It's always on and it beeps really loud. Once, the maintenance people came in unannounced, then Frontpoint called me immediately. Then, they came again the next day to double check on something, even if they didn't tell us they would.

They system works just as good as the first day that we got it and the sound has been the same. We keep it in a safe area where it doesn't fall down and it stands up right all the time. I'm happy with my decision to go with Frontpoint. You just have to ask them specific questions so that you would have a clear understanding of how the system works before you buy it.

I purchased Frontpoint a few years ago after doing some research and have had nothing but trouble since. They glazed over the contract term and my monthly fee has increased from $35/mo to $48/mo. I also didn't get the equipment I was promised and that took days to resolve. While DIY is definitely less expensive initially, I would consider another company as I feel they have ZERO concern for their customers. It's not so much the price that bothers me, but the bait and switch tactics I feel were employed. I also have my system in a drawer and have asked MULTIPLE times for my monthly fee to be reduced since it's not in use. Eight months later, I'm still paying for a system that just shows me the weather. All of the door magnets and glass break sensors are in a drawer. They go off from time to time when I rummage through that drawer looking for things that are actually useful to me.

We've tried other security systems but didn't like them. Frontpoint is wireless plus they walked through the whole thing and it was very helpful. Then we did the installation ourselves and it was good. The representatives have all been good too. Every time we've had a question, we could actually get it handled. I saw Frontpoint had high ratings on Google and interacting with their representatives has always been pleasant except with one agent. I reported that and it was handled. It has always been good and secure when I have to call in. I ask the same thing every time and they answer me. Installing the system was not that hard. I did it and it was straightforward. However, the recessed door sensors are way too big compared to the ones that you stick on the exterior of the door. Nobody’s gonna want to drill a hole that big on their door for something like that.

The features of the system are pretty good but the doorbell camera, the app connecting with the video, is not always that good. Sometimes it errors out and it will say, “Troubleshoot the problem on the phone.” I also find that from the time somebody rings the doorbell to when you get notified on your phone, the length is too long. By the time I find somebody rang the doorbell, the person’s already gone because it’s been 10 to 15 seconds from when they rang the doorbell. Sometimes, it’s 30 seconds. It needs to be shorter.

Also, the camera on the touchscreen panel should be able to be viewed from the smartphone like a regular camera. Frontpoint is saying that the camera on the panel is only triggering when an alarm goes off, which is stupid because I have that panel facing one side of the door. I put it there for security reasons, so the camera can face the front door. But then it’s useless because the camera doesn’t do anything until it's triggered.

The cost is good. On the doorbell camera, for the price, the quality is not as good as some older models. It’s not 2723 high definition. It's not even 1080. Frontpoint needs an upgrade. The main reason I got Frontpoint is because of the doorbell. I wanted to get a doorbell camera and I saw that they offered it with a home security system, so I jumped on that opportunity. But at the time I signed up, I had to wait four months before I could get the doorbell camera because it was continually out of stock. One day, I finally got a phone call saying it was back in stock. I was thinking it was gonna be a new one rather than the old SkyBell Trim model but I signed up. I ordered and got it and it's the same old model, while other companies are offering newer ones.

The home we moved into had a different security company and we were just going to keep it up. But we found a better deal with Frontpoint and went with them instead. The system was easy to set up. In fact, I got another system at my daughter’s house, and setting it up went really smoothly as well. The price also seems to be fair although my son got a system as well and he’s got a little better rate than I do. We had some issues there with trying to figure out why he was getting a better deal. Frontpoint did drop my price a little bit but I think my son still got a little better deal than I do. I even shopped around but I couldn’t find anybody that could beat what they offered, with all the features that they include with their package.

Frontpoint seems to monitor it very closely and they always call in when there’s a problem. So we’ve really been pleased with their system. It just seemed liked everything we needed and it worked out real good. We also feel real comfortable with what we’ve got. We're able to monitor it when we’re not there and we're alerted if something happens when we’re not there. We’ve also been real pleased with the app where we can monitor with the phone and check the history of any issues. It’s pretty user-friendly too. I’m not the most tech-savvy person by a long shot and I can navigate through it pretty well. And although we had an issue with the sensor once, they replaced it and that aside, everything’s been fine. It’s been a good system and I've recommended them to several folks.

We couldn't get it to connect because the garage door opener that was installed in the house was dated.

I was also trying to get a wireless thermostat installed in my house. And the one that I've purchased, I thought could be easy to DIY. But it requires a little bit of extra tweaking. I haven't had the time to go ahead and do the research on it. And I don't know if they have tech support guys that can come to the house and do installs. But everything, for the most part in the installation, was pretty simple. My house is designed for a Frontpoint system, so it was all right. Everything works all right with the features and everything is pretty user-friendly as well. I also appreciate the fact that I don't have to have an extra phone line that I won't use. So, that helps out a lot and that saves money in that aspect. I'd recommend Frontpoint.

We can always call, they'll be glad to answer questions or walk us through things. They talked us through the installation, and it went easily. They were also patient with trying to figure out if we have any issues. We had some problems with the hardware. I wish I didn’t purchase the Frontpoint security system because I had realized that somebody could just come in and unplug the power cord, and then it would no longer work. Burglars usually specialize in getting around that type of stuff too. If you have a Frontpoint sign on your lawn and somebody’s familiar with that type of system and how it works, then it won’t take much. They’re in there and nobody’s gonna get a call. So it’s a waste of money. $40 is coming out of my account and it’s absolutely useless.

Initially, I thought it would be useful because it supposedly works when the power is out. You only need internet. I also like the fact that they have the app. The little display is cute. The representatives did a great job too, except they didn’t explain that the system is easy to get around. But I liked the presentation as far as the easy install, and the system was actually easy to install. The installation experience was good. Sometimes, people get a little confused though. But if you don’t understand the simple instructions on the box, you can always call and ask them for instructions. They give great tech support. On the other hand, if you have an older house and your paint is chipping, those little stickies can be a little cumbersome because they can come off in the middle of the night. That has happened and it scared the life out of me. I thought I had an intruder. It needs a screw to secure it better.

Frontpoint is a good business but I wish they had a more lenient cancellation process. I have a three-year contract and I still owe about $1,000 on the contract. If I want to cancel it, I would have to pay it. I would tell anybody not to sign up for a three-year contract. I regret that part and I wish I can get out of the contract in a cheaper way.

We just moved offices and we needed a trusted and available security system that was easy to set up and didn’t require a bunch of wiring. Frontpoint has a better technology stack and they're not as old school. Dealing with their rep has been okay, except for this one issue about permits. When we had the system installed, they let us know that we needed like a burglar permit from the city. But we also had these panic buttons activated, and they didn’t tell us that it was a separate permit. Then somebody accidentally tripped off the panic button, and then the cops arrived thinking it was like a stick-up situation for a bank. So, we got dinged by not having the right permit for our alarm system.

Frontpoint is a little bit more expensive than their competition and the monthly service is a little bit high, and then some of the components feel cheap. A lot of the system is based on like adhesives. But a permanent mounting solution would have been nice, instead of it being like totally adhesive-based. There is an option for some screw stuff for more permanent mounting. But on the glass break sensor, I had to drill through the plastic housing instead of having pre-drilled screw holes available for me. Other than that, the system itself is pretty adequate.

But with Frontpoint, it seems like I can't really do that.

Also, the smoke sensor is kinda big and we used the tape attached to it but it seems it cannot really steady. It fell off very often. The biggest thing that sold me was the ability to continue security with a power outage or if an intruder does break in, they can’t smash your monitor and continue doing whatever they wanna do. In addition, the fact that it works off of a cell phone tower to signal instead of other means that other companies use, I thought it was better.

I have been with Frontpoint for 10 months now and so far, it's been great. The installation process was super easy. I just called them for the small issues I had and they walked me through it. They were polite and our interaction was smooth. Our biggest experience was on the sales side. We thought that certain units such as glass break sensors would work good for my home and its layout. But then once they got implemented, and I found out a little bit more about my home and educated them on it, it became clear that for the type of windows that I had, the glass break sensors weren’t the way to go and that individual sensors were. Frontpoint swapped them out very easily. It even brought my monthly rate down. The worst thing that I had to deal with was the fact that I had stuck the sensors to my wall and I had to peel them off, but Frontpoint has been very easy to work with.

The installation of the system was difficult for me at first because I was trying to figure it out on my own and I have not ever done anything like that before. But once I called them on the phone and they answered some of my questions, everything made sense to me and I was able to get everything installed in a matter of minutes. We have the basic coverage that is what we need right now until we get more settled in the home. My wife is very interested in having cameras and other things, but we just needed to spend time living in the home to see what we would use best or what we would need, given the community and given how we use our home. So, it’s been good just to have basic sense of security in the meantime.

Our Frontpoint equipment works. It turns on, it recognizes when something’s open or something’s closed, and that’s really all I needed it to do. I really like the app. It is very user-friendly. I was not happy with the ADT app. So, getting away from that was something that I was eager to do. You have to try Frontpoint out if you don’t mind doing set-ups and you don’t need everything done for you, and if you just want something that works for the right price.

We have a summer home and we’re not always there, so I wanted to have a little extra security. I have ADT at my business but I went with Frontpoint because my brother recommended them. We got their minimum package and it's perfect for what I need it for. It does exactly what I want it to do. My son-in-law set up the system in half an hour and it was very easy. Using it is easy too. I would like to be able to have a remote video access though. I was planning on buying the cameras to do it, but we don’t have internet set up with our house. That aside, every experience I had with their customer service was terrific. They were excellent. It has been a terrific service.

I had wanted a home security system while my husband was still alive, but after he passed away I decided to get one. The Frontpoint system matched with the cellular system and I also like that it was something that I could do and I didn't have to have strangers come in and install it. My grandson and I worked together and it took a while to figure out the installation, but it got better once we did.

The quality of the equipment seems fair for the price. It's small, plastic and has an adhesive, so I'm hoping it holds up over time. It came with a limited number of sensors and I put them on the primary spots, but I would like more to do some secondary spots. But when the system is on and somebody opens the door, the alarm goes off loudly and it calls the police. Overall, I like the Frontpoint system.

Somebody stole my stuff and I looked up security providers on the internet. Frontpoint seemed like the best one but I don’t think it is because you have to set it up yourself. You're supposed to find these instruction videos and follow them, and they're not so easy. When I called, the guy that I talked to wasn’t very helpful. He just wanted to get me off the phone and I have to call him back. The window sensors go on the wall and during the summer, when it was warm, they just fell off. Also, I have never been able to get the camera to work right. Frontpoint set it up on a window and I've never been able to get a good picture. I signed a one-year contract and I’ve had it for three months. My experience with Frontpoint has been a nightmare and I’ll probably stop the service.

I read somewhere that Frontpoint was rated one of the better home security system companies. I also liked their cost and it seemed very easy to get the options that I wanted with them. So, I signed up. When I called them for the initial purchase and for an issue with a sensor, the reps I talked to handled my situation as best as they could. But the instructions for the installation of the door and window sensors could’ve been clearer. The set up took a little longer than I expected and that could’ve been for the directions not being clear on the door and window sensors. They would tell you to put the sensor on the door while it’s shut, but when I did that, it would register the door as open and it was very confusing.

Other than that, everything seems to be working fine so far, and having the Frontpoint system has affected my wife's sense of security. But my garage door sensor doesn’t register every time the door is opened and closed, though I haven’t had a chance to call Frontpoint about it yet. Also, I haven’t tested the window sensors as the windows haven’t been opened since I installed them. But the door sensors work fine. I also use the smartphone app to make sure everything is locked up. Most of the time, I leave the house then I arm the system with my cellphone through the app and I don’t use the keypad to do so. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade everything to the touch screen touch pad. I would also like to get the automatic door locks and the garage door openers where I can open it from my cellphone. That way, if it’s left open and I see that the sensor says so, I can still close it from wherever I’m at.

I’ve been pleased with Frontpoint. I got online and checked on different people with other products, and I checked how up to date, how sophisticated, and how compact Frontpoint's system was. The system I had before was very archaic. I had a control box in the attic and that was bad. Frontpoint's system is a lot more up to date with what it needed to be by today’s terms as far as looking at benefits. It came highly recommended by an online site that was comparing all of the different systems. I'm fairly pleased with it even though there’s one who complained about the switch and everything on it. I still use it. At night time, I just lock it down really tight and anybody who comes in the front door is a dead man, as far as I’m concerned.

The first Frontpoint rep I talked about the situation didn't understand what I was trying to say. I presented myself well enough as far as problems. He was more concerned about the spacing of the switches. I got a couple doors that require a little bit more than the switch will reach and will do anything more than three quarter of inch. And I understood that but he did not listen very well. But the second Individual I talked to listened a little bit better, and I gave him a little bit better description of what was going on.

The installation was a lot more involved because each of the sensors was screwed in. The switches that are a lot smaller provided a little bit easier installation. The old system I had had a lot more components to deal with. Our Frontpoint system is a lot more compact compared with the old system. So, there were lesser sensors to put up for fire detection and smoke detection. I wish they would have a little bit more instructions on how to install the chime, when you’re going in and out the door. Other than that, the system's simple to operate. The cost seems to be competent. And anytime I call somebody, they’re very good on the phone. For the average consumer, Frontpoint is top from the field.

I looked online and came across Frontpoint and I saw that Frontpoint had very high ratings. There was also self-installation and it looked easy enough. I worked with them and found that they had good customer service as well. They made payment easy too. The lady rep asked us how many openings, such as doorways, that we have and where we wanted to put our sensors. We have a window sensor and she asked me how many of those that I wanted and if I wanted the doorbell thingy or all the other extras and stuff, and I told her no. She was very interactive on getting everything sent to us. She told us the best places to put the sensor, which was immensely useful because I couldn’t imagine trying to figure out ourselves and then putting it in the wrong place. We didn’t have to do any drilling or hammering, so the installation was simple and nice.

We locked ourselves out one day and we banged on the door. The alarm went off and they called immediately. I love Frontpoint because of that. I also love the convenience of being able to go on my phone and disable the alarm. Whenever we’d have to speak with their customer service reps, they have been very polite. They were also nice to get the job done in a timely fashion. Overall, I like the quality of Frontpoint's equipment and I think it's worth it. It's easy to use, efficient and cost-effective.

I got a home security system from Frontpoint due to burglaries in the neighborhood and the experience has been good so far. I did online research of cost, installation requirements and system capabilities. I liked that I could do most of the setup myself without having to incur installation fees and charges. During the setup period, the reps were very helpful over the phone. They troubleshooted and interacted with me to get certain components up and working. I had one device on a window that wasn't functioning properly and they worked me through testing ways to see if that would solve the problem. When it didn't, within five working days, I had a new replacement piece out to me and they worked with me over the phone again to get that component integrated with the rest of the system.

I did the installation in the afternoon and the system was up and running in three hours. I ordered everything online and they came in one very convenient box. They were all labeled and very straightforward in terms of the instructions. I had problems with the electronics of one terminal device in the window and they worked through that problem quickly with me. We're very satisfied with the features for our needs. We like the online monitoring through the Frontpoint app on the phone and we can activate and/or disengage the system from our cell phones. If a guest inadvertently left a window open, I can see that on my phone and I can go directly to that device and correct the situation without having to search around the house for it.

We opened a garage door and an alarm sounded because we forgot to turn it off. We did not make it to the panel in time to disengage it and within two minutes, I got a call from Frontpoint asking if everything was okay and they asked for my security code. I know that if our house is broken into, if they are gonna call me on my cell and if I'm not there, I can immediately tell them that I’m not at home and ask them to send the police. We also had a smoke detector that I put on with sticky pads and it didn't mechanically adhere. Over time, it fell off and when it hit it, it set off an alarm. We got a call from the fire department within three minutes and I physically anchored the device after that. So, we feel pretty secure because we know the response time is very short and it happened every time.

Their price was reasonable as well, and the do-it-yourself installation was cool, which was a big seller for me ‘cause I have more control where I could put the equipment.

My initial call with Frontpoint's customer service was when they helped set up the security system. The rep was great, friendly and helpful. The people there weren’t very pushy and didn’t try to recommend more equipment than what I needed after we described our home. With the set up for the alarm and the panel, it didn’t work right away. So we made a call with Frontpoint and their tech support was great. There was a step-by-step instruction and they got everything running on the same day. We are looking at adding up a few different things that Frontpoint have, so we’ve kept the features just as is.

Frontpoint's equipment is of good quality and the cost is great They have the app there, so we can control some things and see what’s going on, and also arm and disarm the system from my cell phone. That’s a nice touch and it works well. It’s easy to navigate and the sensors do exactly what they’re supposed to do and so we’re very happy with the system.

We previously had a more traditional old-school wireline service. We ended up moving and wanted to have a home security system. But we thought we were overpaying for what we got. So, we did some shopping and switched to Frontpoint. The price was important and the general simplicity of it was attractive. We could also try it for free and if we didn’t like it, we could send it back.

Their salespeople have been nice and some of the service people I’ve talked to have been pleasant. But there have been a few periods where something has triggered and the transition from asking us if everything is okay, to figuring out the technical issue that’s going on in order to fix this false alarm, is sluggish. The person who calls isn’t a technical person, so if you’re having a technical issue, they have to transition you to a technical person. I liked this business model ‘cause you would pay for the technical expertise. But here I am with a technical problem waiting on somebody from somewhere to call me whenever they can. That’s not a very optimal operational process for transitioning from active alarms and active things to solving those problems.

The installation was not complicated. They also try to walk you through it to the best of their ability, but ultimately, they’re not in your house. The person on the phone would tell you where it should go but that was where it wouldn't make sense. Also, the price per door or window sensor was fairly high. It’s $30 a sensor. So you have to opt for something that’s simpler and more cost-effective and put a couple motion sensors in the house and hope that they are in the right place if somebody gets through a window and the motion sensor gets them.

When I take into account everything, Frontpoint is fairly priced. It may be a little expensive for what you get relative to what you could get if you paid a slight bit more and have somebody come to your house. They should weigh the pros and cons of substituting somebody on the phone to having somebody in person to help you think through what solution you’re trying to construct. Also, the technical support issue could be managed a little better on their end.

Also, it was wired and I didn’t want it anymore because someone can cut the wires. I went with Frontpoint and I love it. It’s also much cheaper than the one I had. Their reps were friendly and helpful. I like the system very much. I wish I had ordered another glass breaker because I don’t have one for my patio room and there are a lot of glass in it.

There’s only a certain amount that comes with the package and everything that you order has a price on it. I just told them what doors I wanted the alarm placed on and the system itself. So, I didn’t have any problems with getting what I ordered. I also didn’t have any problems doing the installations. It was easy. However, they need to send more tape than they do for you to secure it. They only send a certain amount of two-sided adhesive and you need more than what they sent. The only problem I had, and it wasn’t because of the system, was that my front door is so far away from my bedroom that I couldn’t hear the sound on it. So, they sent me another stronger device and put it on my door.

I use my phone in order to set my system whenever I’m away, and it has been working great. My alarm went out accidentally, but I found out I had the glass breakers in the wrong place. I had dropped the top of my toilet and it went off, but when it went off, it said “kitchen.” So, I realized I had my glass breakers in the reversed because the incident happened in my master bedroom. So, I’ve already taken care of it and reversed them.

I wanted the doorbell and they didn’t have it in stock, so I tried the camera to see if it would work. The installation went fine. My only issue with the camera was that I would have had to get it installed some way because I could not have the cord just everywhere outside.

As for the timeframe from when I got notified, if somebody walked into the view of the camera, it took way too long. So, it took sometimes up to two minutes for me to get a notification. That wasn’t gonna work because I have a home daycare and I needed to know if somebody was at my door right away since I lock the door -- no one’s gonna stand there for two minutes usually. So, when I returned the camera and got the doorbell, it at least notifies me within three seconds. I feel safer with the system and the cost is reasonable, too. There was a time when I decided to use a different security system provider. I live out in the country, so whether I have one person or another, nobody’s gonna be local. Instead, there’s a call center that’s gonna call somebody. I tried Frontpoint and I've had great interactions with their reps thus far. Every time I leave my garage, somebody calls me because I forget to turn the alarm off. It is a natural instinct to start the garage open before I get there and I forget that I gotta turn the alarm off first. Even so, Frontpoint's system has a web app and that makes it easier. I do it all through my phone, so I can disarm it quickly and it works out well.

The installation of my system was simple. It was just peeling and sticking and then linking the equipment with the central panel. However, the motion sensor took a little time to connect or to activate. It was also a matter of putting it somewhere where it would pick up what I’m wanting to pick up. I also wasn’t ready to mount the sensor to my wall yet and put holes in the wall because it’s a new house, so I had to find a spot that I could put it until I decide for a permanent location.

The equipment has been fine. The very high reviews for Frontpoint led me to them and I’m willing to try anything for a time period. If it wasn’t for the high ratings, I wouldn’t even give them a try -- having a three-year commitment and charging as much as they do. I’ve had ADT for years at multiple cities and I’ve never paid more than $32 a month. I am paying $45 for Frontpoint and if I decide to get the doorbell camera, which I would like to, then it’s gonna go to $50. That’s a huge increase compared to $32 that I’ve been paying since back in the mid-2000s timeframe.

There was confusion when I first started off with Frontpoint with the glass breakage. We were trying to decide whether I was gonna have a motion sensor or not. I ended up getting a motion sensor eventually, but it was just miscommunication being the person was on the phone. The way they described the motion sensor was every time I will arm it, the motion sensor will be on. I asked what would happen if I get up in the middle of the night and get some water, and they said that I needed to get the glass breakage. I got it, but, later on, I figured out that it was just like any other system. It won’t set off when you set it. The motion sensor is not turned on when you arm it. I had to add the sensor later as opposed to getting it right up front.

While the equipment cost is very reasonable, the back end monthly cost is expensive. I wish Frontpoint would be a little cheaper considering that one of their toughest competitors, SimpliSafe, only charge $15 per monitoring fee. There is a huge difference between $15 and $45 and $45 is a lot for a monitoring fee compared to others. There are others out there that are gonna be competitive as far as same features and a lot of the same things. They are locking somebody in for three years and the fact that they are charging that much, if they are not careful, they are missing out on a lot of business by being as expensive as they are. If someone decides to start rating Frontpoint lower for whatever reason, they will lose lots of business because of the price.

We kind of live out rural and we wanted to have protection. I thought getting a home security system was the right thing to do and we do feel a lot more secure now. I also think we got a good product. We're very pleased with it. With Frontpoint, I could do the installation myself. I’m able to take care of whatever I need to by myself. We had also read the reviews and we really like what we purchased. The upfront cost with Frontpoint was cheaper too. So all in all, it’s a better deal.

The system is wireless and I installed it myself. I didn’t have to wait on a technician and it was easy. The instructions were very good. But if you had never done it before, many people jump the gun sometimes. I might have done that. I put in something wrong but I called and they helped me undo it. Then they even asked if I would like them to stay on the line and help me finish it. I was like, “Yeah, I’d love that.” They went above and beyond what they say they do, and we’re very pleased. The system is also very easy to use. I love the crash detector of the window because we like to have our windows open so then we don’t have to have all those fixed on the windows. We also love the beep when the door opens so we know somebody’s coming in. I really like the system.

I have a house in Virginia that is very old. It’s not pre-wired for anything and therefore a wireless alarm system was the obvious choice. My original intention was to purchase one of the SimpliSafe systems which sounded very good on TV. They used to have an affiliation with the NRA, but after the school shooting in Florida they negated their association with the NRA, and I decided I would never do business with them. So I got on the internet and sought out alternative wireless systems. Subsequently, I found out that SimpliSafe's system is a proprietary system that doesn’t work with anybody else’s software, whereas the Frontpoint system is decent and compatible with a number of other manufacturers’ products so I bought it. The reps at Frontpoint have been always very polite and helpful. If I had any problems or questions, they were answered before I hung up.

I did the installation myself. The features that are offered with the system are fine, but I needed to add to the basic package to make the system do what I wanted it to do and I got several other contact and motion sensors. The system also has the cameras, but I have to have my internet service on all the time to use that. But since it’s a summer house, I don’t have the internet on all the time there. So, I can’t use the cameras unless I wanna pay for the internet year-round when I’m not there most of the time, but that’s just my personal preference. Other than that, the equipment seems to work fine. Any time that I’ve had an opening, power failures, or arming and disarming from the phone, it has always worked very quickly and efficiently. I use the smartphone features and if I can use them, then they’ve gotta be easy to use.

Installing the system was easy. If someone like me can do it, anybody could. The equipment worked great with my phone. That's all I use and I love it. And so far, I have no complaints about the company. When I had one sensor that kept giving false positives on my business alarm, I called them and they sent me out a replacement sensor ASAP. I like what Frontpoint is offering, and they are ahead of the game. Not everybody else is doing the same thing as Frontpoint is doing, like wireless and remote stuff. Their reps helped out a lot. They had knowledge of their own products, and anything that I needed, they were able to find it quickly, and ordered it if I needed to order it. You gotta use certain products they offered. It’s not you can grab whatever camera you want or any doorbell you want. You have to use a specific one, and that’s it. If you don’t use, there’s drawback to it.

I had a camera, but I didn’t like it that it was still a plug-in, and then the wires dangle on all over the place. I wasn’t too fond of that, so I turned it back in. Frontpoint just gave me a credit, and I used it. Also, there were things that I had to call them because they just won’t sync up. But everything has been good so far. The price is reasonable and the service is good. Frontpoint is a good company, and I’d recommend them.

However, the system is a little expensive and there are some technical issues like the sensor not being responsive. I would have to walk three or four times before it goes off. I did everything that was suggested like pretending I left and everything stood still for a good three to five minutes. And then, I tried to walk across the sensor. It has to be walked at least three times before it sees me. I spoke with the representatives from Frontpoint and they were professional but they were not able to resolve the technical thing with the sensor. But aside from the sensor, the features in our system are fairly decent.

We decided to get a security system because it seemed that somebody was looking through the window while I was asleep and my husband was at work. I needed something that was gonna be user-friendly on the phone.

Frontpoint had a lot of good reviews online and their price was good. I went with them but then our outside video cameras didn't have the best angling. Additionally, I couldn't rotate the video feed. So, if I wanted to perch the video camera on a solid surface, which would be either a roof or a piece of siding, I"m very limited as to which angles I can use. Instead, I have to make the perch work rather than make the camera work for the perch. Still, Frontpoint's equipment is of good quality overall. We like that we're able to look at the video feed especially while we are on vacation. Our cameras are motion-sensored and we are able to look inside and outside our house with ease.

I live in Georgia and I purchased a security system for a rental property in Louisiana. I wanted to put cameras on the house so I can watch it until we fix it up. I already had AT&T's Digital Life where I live but I put Frontpoint on the rental property ‘cause it was much cheaper than what I have. The Frontpoint representatives were really nice. The instructions were simple enough for a non-technical person like myself to set it up, because I started it and then my husband finished it. He said that it was easy too. We were able to put the door monitor things on as well. I had some issues with setting the camera up and they walked me through it. I still couldn’t figure it out but a tenant moved in that time so I just didn’t worry about that part.

While I’m not using Frontpoint anymore, I liked it when I had it. Everything was working fine. It was the same thing like the high-end alarm people when they come out and set it up. The Frontpoint system is equal to all the high-end system. The smartphone features was important to me ‘cause I needed to be able to pull it up on the phone so I was really enthused about that part. I can monitor on my phone, I can record also, and then it was easy to set up and use. So, get Frontpoint. I would recommend it. I have also recommended it to my daughter who needed it.

My Realtor gave me a discount code for a competitive system but I found out later that she uses Frontpoint as well and she loves it. I liked the price of Frontpoint as well as the wireless sensors which doesn’t require a phone line. The sales team was great and they understood that there were other products on the market. They worked hard to get me a discount to make it even more competitive and the agents knew their stuff.

I bought a water sensor and a smoke detector after I had my initial package and they’re working fine. The instructions to install them was very simple and easy to follow. Also, the smartphone features are great. However, Frontpoint doesn’t do exterior cameras and then, the cameras were a little pricey. We just moved to this area. I have four kids and I don’t know if I really trusted the neighborhood, so getting a home security system seemed like a good idea. I started investigating companies and Frontpoint was the first one that I clicked on. However, we were disappointed with the way that their reps talked to me. We were going back and forth between two different sales agents who were both calling us within hours apart of each other and telling us different prices. They offered us so much stuff for such a price and when we told them we can't afford that, they lowered the price. One of the guys lowered the price significantly and then the other guy called back to try to give the system to us with a higher price again. So, it seemed that it was either they were not communicating or they were trying to steal each other’s sale.

They should also have explained how some of the parts work and some of them don't. The main thing I really wanted was the video camera and doorbell system. They led me to believe that with us having a store-bought system, they'd send us an adapter and there would be no issues since they do that all the time. But, it turned out that Frontpoint does not have adapters that go with the parts, so we had to mail those parts because they don't work. They are the most important things to me and I don't have them. We've also not been reimbursed for those. So, the features we have are not 100% what I wanted. We thought we'd try just windows and doors beeping, but without any camera, it just not kind of worth it. What's in my system works, though. The alarm goes off if we shut it. Also, when my son came in one day while my wife and I were gone and he couldn't remember his password, the cops showed up.

The only thing is I just called to ask questions initially, and the next thing I knew, I was signing up with it. I wanted to compare Frontpoint to something else but when I called them, I felt like I gotta get it then. They said, “You’re not gonna be able to beat this price. You’re not gonna be able to beat this service.” I didn't like the pressure to purchase it before I had a chance to do research and comparison, so I thought I was rushed into doing it. Also, the system’s okay, but then I was over my head in the payment plan, so I got it reduced to what fits into my budget better.

I was walking one time, and I got a notice on my phone that there was some issue going on, so I rushed back. What happened was the motion detector had fallen off the wall in the great room. Also, the functionality of the system may need a little more work because I was pushing a button when I was gonna stay in the house for the night. It wasn’t until I called in that I found out that I was supposed to push it twice. I was pushing it once, and it said the windows and the doors were secured. Frontpoint has great reviews and we found it to be the best option for a home security in which I didn't have to run wires or damage my walls in any way. It was also 100% cellular and I really like that. If the power gets cut, there’s no issue. Having done my research beforehand, I called them out of pure curiosity, and they were very helpful. They actually sold me then. And one of the features that sold us was the smash alarm. It seems very sturdy and then if somebody breaks in and they try to destroy it, it would immediately call the cops. The equipment was also self-adhesive so we haven’t had any panels come off or any of the window sensors. And so we’re pleased with it.

When we were setting up everything that they sent, my husband was able to do it within 10 minutes. It was really cool, self-explanatory and the videos that they have on their website were very helpful. We like the ability to do it ourselves. Also, the customer service has been fantastic. I’ve made one phone call with them and we’ve had the alarm go off a few times, and the reps were very responsive. They call immediately. We have the app as well on our Apple watches and our phones so it’s all easy. They could be a little faster on the Apple watch though, but that’s probably just because the phone is not close enough, otherwise it works fine. We’ve actually set the alarm away from the house several times.

We get basic features for $44 a month, and for the amount of security that we get, the price is unbeatable. The system's quality is definitely better than the cost compared to some of the other services and companies as well. The features that our Frontpoint system has are good for what we needed it for and gives extra peace of mind for us especially that we just had a baby nine months ago. And the customer service is a plus. So I would definitely recommend them.

I had them ship the package two weeks before my vacation so I could have somebody help me set it up because it was my first security system. They sent the device and they tried to help but it was kinda late. It’s been a couple of days so I had to go on my vacation and I didn't set up the system.

When I got back, I called and scheduled to do the setup. And then I realized that when I ordered, they said that I needed four sensors in the house but that was not enough. I told Frontpoint about the situation and they told me I should have told them about that before. I explained to them that I had to go on a long three-week vacation. Also, they could look at their system and see that my alarm system was not installed yet. But I was told the policy was to tell them ahead of time. I said I didn't like it and I would just return it. I was told I could not return it because it was over the time limit. I got upset. After a month, I ordered two more sensors.

Another is I cannot set up the garage sensor. There's nothing to show me how to do it. My husband passed away and nobody can help me. I'm not good with tech stuff. I'm not happy because Frontpoint said they cannot do anything. I was over the 30 days and that was it. If I had already installed the system and used it then waited for one month to call and complain about this and that then that's not fair. But the system is still brand-new. I called them two weeks after I activated the system. I misunderstood and thought they counted from the day I did the installation but they counted from the day they sent the box. So far, I get a notification right away every time the alarm is on. But I'm not gonna stay with Frontpoint. I can't wait for the end of the contract so I can I move on.

The local, standard, traditional retail providers of security systems in Bakersfield were very expensive. I stumbled across Frontpoint when I was doing some research online and it was not only much more affordable, but it was more secure than one of the other types of more traditional alarm service. I sent an inquiry late at night and I got a callback first thing the next morning from a representative who walked through with me some of my questions and how their system works. Then, I went to my board of directors and we talked about it. I came back a month later and we decided to purchase. Most of the representatives that I worked with were very helpful and knowledgeable and it was a good experience.

For the installation, we had one of our volunteers take care of everything and sometimes, he had some challenges. He was on the phone for hours and so, I'm still amused on his behalf whenever I hear that the set-up was so quick and all you have to do is follow the instructions. We had an atypical installation but he would not say that it was a snap to get the installation done. The initial installation went pretty well, but we ordered some additional sensors and they came with the wrong sensor number on them. So, it was pretty confusing for a while to add those into our system and know what they were, but we got that all worked out. The other board members and I like the remote access and the notification if someone inadvertently forget to set the alarm.

During the setup process with the sales team, they were very knowledgeable, helpful, and were very courteous. My experience with Frontpoint had been great.

The first time that we forgot to disarm the alarm, we got a phone call saying, “Hey, is everything okay? We just got an alert, and we called you.” I forgot to turn it off. They didn’t call the police, but they called us first, and it was a very quick response time. I got the system for my wife. She was feeling unsafe because I work at night. Then I read some reviews online that Frontpoint had good customer service, although everything else was pretty much equal with the other brands. Our dealings with the reps were simple. I called, signed up, and managed to get enough of the pieces that we needed. The rep walked me through everything easily and the setup was easy. I did the installation myself. The instructions were detailed and I had no difficulty with them. The only thing that we didn’t get upfront that we had to come back and get on the second day, which cost us a little more, was the digital screen versus the analog screen. When I first ordered the touchpad, they sent me the analog touchpad and we had to circle back and get the digital one.

We use the smartphone features all the time. They're pretty simple and we don’t have any trouble with them. It's great to be able to lock up away from the house because we forget to do it all the time. The cost versus the quality of the system seems on par. I would definitely tell people to make sure that they ask about the particular settings. I would also let them know that if they're going to go with a ring doorbell, that is gonna cost them extra outside of the Frontpoint family of accessories. Also, I'm limited on using the smartphone app but it gives me the access that I need to turn the system on and off when I need it. So, the app has worked good for me. I know there are more options and I haven't really had the time to do it, partly because our home is being renovated and we haven't completely set the system up yet. But I'm looking forward to doing that once we get it all done here.

I was leaving for work for an extended period of time and my girlfriend was gonna be living at our house all by herself. We looked into ADT and into AT&T for our internet and home, but we liked Frontpoint the best. We liked the ease of installment for their equipment and their prices aren't outrageous. We pretty much compared everybody else's, so we knew our family friend had a good experience with Frontpoint, so we decided to go with them. It was super smooth with the rep and I on the phone, since I knew exactly what kind of monitors were needed, which doors and windows needed to be marked. It was a super easy 30 to 45-minute phone call to get everything set up, ordered and billed correctly.

I was out of town by the time the equipment got shipped to us. I just left the week prior and my girlfriend was able to set everything up by herself. She and her sister did it one day and everything has worked perfectly. Them doing it themselves without any help or a technician coming out to the house is awesome. We started off with a low grade one. We love the ease of it and it has been working perfectly fine. I only use my smartphone to arm and disarm it instead of using the monitor. I use it when I leave the house. I arm it from my car as I'm pulling out of the driveway.

We have a friend that is just getting settled into their new house and getting a Frontpoint is something they have thought about. He knows the same friend that referred us too. We told him that we loved the system. It's been perfect. My girlfriend said it gave her a ton of peace of mind. We told him what we pay a month and it's not outrageous. We also told him about the app and how easy it is to use, and they seem pretty interested. So, hopefully, we'll get a referral here within the next couple of months or so.

Every time I had to call the reps at Frontpoint for some reason, they were super professional with me. They also helped me a lot in setting up the system and getting stuff done. In addition to that, the installation of the system was very easy. But I was having some issues with the glass sensors. They are falling and I want to see if there is another way that I can fix it to the wall. Right now, I have it on a double tape sticker but sometimes, I need to use some Monkey Glue to attach it to the walls. Also, when I called the first time, I asked for the doorbell ring but it wasn’t available. I missed that when I signed in and they gave me a promotion. Still, I’m very happy with the system and I strongly recommend Frontpoint. So far, so good.

When I started with Frontpoint, the equipment seemed cheap and the monthly was affordable. It’s $45 a month and it's like an insurance. It’s designed for you to pay a little for it each month to maybe save you really big a couple of times. I recognize that but now, I feel like it's overpriced. The salesman was very eager and helpful at that time though. Then everything was shipped to me. It was frustrating that I had to cut some doorways away to install the system though. I wish there was something that was more magnetized and could just go over the door. Other than that, the installation was easy. But beyond that, I don't feel like the experience has been easy. In fact, I was telling my coworker I was gonna cancel it today. I feel like the system has been more of a nuisance and that's partially because it hasn't had a situation where it saves me or where someone was gonna break in.

I was home last night but I wanted the alarm on and I set it for if I wasn't home. But then I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water. My alarm went off and it was my fault but I couldn't get it to stop. So Frontpoint called me and cancelled it internally but they couldn't cancel it at my house. They said someone would call me. I finally turned it off but I had to sit there. I couldn't move because there was a motion sensor on. Frontpoint called an hour later and I thought that just wasn't very helpful. On the other hand, the alarm went off when I was cooking once and they asked if I would want them to turn it off for a few hours. That's an awesome feature and I really like that. It was really helpful that one time. So there are good things too.

I liked the more modern technology feel about Frontpoint. It was also easy to install at home. The instructions were very simple and easy to follow. They were very impressive. And I liked that whole idea. It seemed easy and simple. Plus it's well-priced. The features in the system are satisfactory and the quality is good. But I wish that the smoke and heat detectors looked a little better. They're a bit old-fashioned and bulky, compared to other products in their line, which seemed much more modern and sleek. That aside, everything else is great. I also use the app to turn the system on and off in the evenings and then in the mornings.

My experience with all of the reps has been fantastic as well. There was one issue at the very beginning where we had not ordered the smoke detector from the system because I was told that it integrates with the Nest products. I went to buy the Nest smoke and heat products only to find that they weren't, in fact, compatible. Then I had to return those and get the Frontpoint ones. Maybe the salesperson wasn’t that informed about what the system can or can't integrate with. And otherwise, everything has been really excellent.

We looked at a couple of companies and we eliminated some pretty quickly because we had to have something that would be digital. Frontpoint seemed to fill our needs.

I told them what I needed and they said they could do it and they sent it to us. Their customer service seems to be really good and the installation was pretty easy for the most part. We had trouble with a couple of sensors but we figured it out. We had to send one back for the garage door and get a different one because they sent the wrong one, but that was a minor detail. We got the features that we wanted and I like the smartphone features. It’s so easy when I forget to set the alarm when I'm in the rush of leaving the house to be able to go on just with our cellphone and arm it. It’s really nice. And the cost was less than our original system.

The house that we bought had a different security system in it, ADT, and that was obsolete, so I needed to update some things. I went online and saw that Frontpoint has good reviews. I expressed an interest for more information and they called me up. I liked that Frontpoint didn’t require any site visits and installers to install the equipment. It could be done by myself. I told Frontpoint's reps the type of home that I had and what my concerns were, and they made suggestions on what would probably work in that situation.

The installation process was straightforward once I figured it out. The box arrived and it was set up step one, step two, step three. I had some misunderstanding about how to install some of the door and window sensors and find them their location, but I got that figured out and got everything working. They gave me a feedback quickly as it was making connection with the device. The sensor and the unit on the counter were communicating appropriately. I use the smartphone features for activating and deactivating my system. It seems to be simple, and it gives a confirmation that it's either armed or unarmed. The system, overall, seems to work fine. It's a reasonable selection to go with Frontpoint. It's reasonably priced for the service and the product.

I got a security system for my fiancée’s peace of mind. I liked the user satisfaction reviews of Frontpoint and the fact that I could kinda customize everything myself. I didn't have to buy a particular package. But the biggest problem that I had was how long it took Frontpoint to get the doorbell camera. The doorbell alarm was the key thing that I wanted. It took way longer than what I was hoping. And every time I called, the guy just apologized and notified me when it was available. Other than that, everyone has been great.

I did the installation myself six months ago and it went well. It was very straightforward. The main box looks dated like it's from the early 2000s but it's easy to cycle through and it works fine. The quality of everything is pretty good but every now and again, their app doesn't work exactly how I want it to. But once I restart it, it works fine.

We have the system on the No Entry Delay every night and I'm worried that if one of the things were to fall off, it would trip the alarm and that would be a very loud noise. But other than that irrational fear, I'm happy with our system overall. My fiancée and I both work. Our home faces the street so getting the doorbell camera to see and make sure if our Amazon packages are still there throughout the day is nice.

Burglary is horrible and break-ins are everywhere. I looked at ADT and the top four home security providers but ADT lied to me and that put them out the door. I was also looking at getting another company's service, but they didn't do the things they told me they were gonna do. Then, I read online that Frontpoint's system was not the best but their customer service was superior to everybody else's. But I was looking at others because I wanted a more high-tech security system and they had a lot more to offer than Frontpoint did in reference to tech and being able to add to the system. But when it boiled down to it, if they couldn't perform and they couldn't take care of me, it didn't matter how high-tech their system was.

So, I went with Frontpoint. Their customer service guy was really good. He called me back and everything we talked about was exactly the way it was. So, it was almost like having a handshake over the phone. And his word was honest, where everybody else's was manipulation, changing stuff, and trying to pull a magic trick, then I pay for it. When I installed the system. I downloaded the instructions on my phone and I just followed the checklist. The instructions were easy for everybody and the installation was very simple. Some women have problems with certain things, but in general, the directions weren't hard for anybody and were pretty basic.

With Frontpoint, you gotta pay upfront more for the system, but the overall system's cheaper than the other systems. The monitoring was about $10 higher a month than I was willing to pay, but it gives me peace of mind. The system's features are also good. I like that you can push a button and the fire or police departments are notified. So there are emergency buttons, which are interesting, but I don't use those and I set the alarm quite often. It's fundamental and it's what I need. Plus, I can use my cellphone to turn it on and off when I leave the house. I've had problems with the smartphone features but it's more an issue on my cellphone than it is the Frontpoint system. Sometimes I have to reboot my cellphone to get it to set the alarm. Other than that, it's a good system.

I live out in the middle of nowhere, so if a fire starts and I need the fire system, nobody's gonna see or hear it. So, having an inside system like the one I got from Frontpoint that calls somebody to get out here is good. I started early with this new system because I wanted to try it out to make sure it was all I wanted and it really is. It works very well. Also, it was in the reviews to be one of the top alarm systems so I went with them.

Their sales reps weren’t pushy. They told us that if we wanted them, it'd be great. They said they were gonna send us the kit, told us how to put it together, and it was really easy. Their support system is more humane than the other one we talked to who were pushy to get you into a system so they can lock you in, get your money, then let you linger. Compared to that, Frontpoint's reps were very supportive and if they didn’t know the answer to a question, they'd find somebody who did. I also had problems with my previous system when I got brownouts and the system went down because it didn't have a battery backup. So, my house was wide open. But Frontpoint's system has a battery backup and it goes off of its own cellular line, where this other system I had went off of my internet.

When installing the Frontpoint system, the instructions tell you plug to it in, start it up, and put your codes. Then you go through and label the doors as to which sensor goes to which door, and you write it down so you know if that sensor is going off. For me, the installation was very easy and self-explanatory. Also, the control panel has buttons on it, which to me is better than a touch pad, but the quality is about the same across the board. They're all plastic.

Last night, we had an issue with my wood-burning stove. Instead of it exhausting through the pipe, it backed up and came into the house, which set the alarm off. It happened before when I was cooking bacon and I got a phone call at that time. But this time, I didn’t get any phone call. I kept setting the alarm off then the next thing I knew, I had the big red truck in front of my house. So, I wasn’t quite sure if Frontpoint changed their policy on a fire alarm. They just started sending out a truck for their own safety and liability. I had no problem with the fire department coming here though. I told them that if they wanna come in and take a look at it, they were more than welcome. They said that for the fire alarm system, they had to, so I let them in.

So far, I'm getting what I pay for with Frontpoint. There were times when I was too busy to stop at the system to alarm it, so when I got out the door and into my car while it was warming up, I went ahead and set it. I feel safer having Frontpoint and since having them, I don't have to have my protector out in the open. I have it hidden in my closet now.

There was a 30-day trial period, but I didn't have a chance to set it up as I was busy and I have a baby. Then when I finally did, I had to plug it in. The point of me getting the system and go with them was because it was wireless, and it was only wireless with the internet which didn't help me. I was also going with them because they had that camera. They said that I could return the camera, but if I wanted to cancel the contract, I gotta pay for three years upfront which was $1,000.

This three-year contract thing is crazy. I said that I didn't remember them telling me about it. When I talked to the sales rep, they said that the conversation was recorded. I asked them to pull up and play the recording and let me listen if I made a mistake about them telling me. They said they couldn't do that. We're new to the US and we don't know what the area we live in is like so it's good to have an alarm. I looked at available options and chose Frontpoint as they seemed to be rated higher than most. The cost was also pretty much on point with the other ones in the market. There were a couple of cheaper ones, but they have the worst review.

Installing the system was pretty easy. I did it on the app on my phone and just followed the instructions that came up, and everything worked. You can use the app to arm and disarm the system. It's also handy to have the thing that tells you when the door opens and closes because we’ve got young children. So, if they're trying to open a door when they're not in our sight, I would know straight away. Compared to a keypad that you'd have to move around with you, the app is easier to have because you've always got your phone with you.

It would be good to have a panic button on the app, though, because if somebody came in the house and the door would open and then the app would know that the alarm would go off. With the panic button, if I were upstairs and I heard somebody coming downstairs, I have something to press to set the alarm off if they managed to get by it. Apart from that, their app works really well and it does what it's supposed to do.

Our warehouse for our business got broken into and so we decided to purchase a security system and got one from Frontpoint. Everything's been positive with the people that I've dealt with. The self-installation of our system was simple. I had a couple of questions, but I called in, and they helped me over the phone, so, it was all good. Our system's features are good for what we need it for.

The system is effective to a certain degree. There are some weaknesses that are involved in it, so it's possible that someone would get in through an opening somewhere that didn’t have one of the overhead door detectors. For instance, on the back of our building, we have a hole in the building where a window air unit sits. So, if someone were to push that out somehow and get in the building, then they could easily travel underneath the motion detectors and do whatever they wanted to in the building without really being detected. So, the system is good for us as far as monitoring if people are coming in.

If by some miracle, someone got in undetected, then, it would be very easy for them to remain undetected mainly because the system only picks you up at certain angles. It only shoots up so many degrees. There was a dog that somehow got trapped in our warehouse that we didn’t know about. While we were working, he snuck in. We locked the warehouse up. We left. He was in there for a full day and not one motion detector ever went off because he went underneath them all day. And he was a decent-sized dog. He's at least two-foot tall. So, he ran loose at that warehouse the whole day, all night and we never got an alarm. Now, alarms had went off and we've been contacted by Frontpoint before for different things. We got motion detection, but it kinda concerned me that I knew that a large animal was in our building, and there was no detection made.

We tend to travel a lot and we purchased a home security system since it was decided that it was good to have a little oversight of the house when we are gone. We then went with Frontpoint. They asked questions on the purchase time about how many rooms and how many doors, of which I answered and I got the appropriate stuff for that. I ended up buying an additional motion sensor 'cause I realized that there was a section in my house that wasn't being covered. It would also be nice to have a readout of the temperature inside the house, so we could monitor that one when we are away.

I had one question in the installation, so I called a support number and that was very painless and quick. Other than that, the installation was very easy and straightforward to do. The instructions were good, too. I like their smartphone features and we use it regularly to arm and disarm the system. There was one time when I forgot the system was armed when I came through the garage and I got a call right away. I was able to give the passcode and clear things up. So, that seemed to be very prompt and effective.

Frontpoint is at the upper end of the price range compared to other companies, and that is definitely a downside. That didn't prevent us from buying it, but it was definitely a consideration. But, other than that, we got what we expected in having a security system. We feel that if someone broke in, it would be detected and the appropriate authorities would be called.

I had interactions with them during the initial call and set up and I called again when I received the actual hardware to get it installed. The rep that I talked to was very patient and lovely and as far as the installation of the system, it was super straightforward. However, I would like to have our outdoor area looked at. They told us that our system is just for someone breaking into our house -- breaking the window or breaking the door -- which is extreme. What has happened was just petty stuff from the cars parked in the driveway and I wouldn’t mind having something associated with Frontpoint that also did that. If somebody were breaking into the truck at 3:00 AM, they couldn’t alert me, which is fine, but I would like to at least have a video. If they had that, that would be awesome.

I love that the equipment beeps when the doors open or close even when we have it disarmed. I have three kids, so I can always tell who is coming in or out. It’s so great and I love it. I’d be even happier, though, if they had the additional feature of the outdoor surveillance because I’m happy to pay the monthly fee, but for what we have, the cost is fine and I’m okay with it. It’s worth every cent if the system could stop the break-in from happening or catch the perpetrator.

Then, Frontpoint took the secondary phone number off of my account because no one could figure that one out, so would they finally stop calling my friend. But now, I don’t know what will happen if the alarm goes off.

They answered all questions and when I put the system in, they walked me through it, stayed right with me throughout the entire hook up, and made sure everything was working okay. The self-installation was pretty simple. It was just a matter of getting everything in the right place and I didn't have any problems with it. And I'm happy with the system so far. As far as I can tell, it's working great. If someone else was interested in a security system, I definitely would recommend this one.

I did a Google search for best home security systems of 2018 and Frontpoint was consistently number one. I called them and the person I spoke with was very agreeable. Then, I was able to set the system up all on my own with the instructions there. I called to confirm that I had done everything right and they were more than happy to help. Especially when I moved houses and I had to move sensors. They really helped me get all the sensors organized again. Also, they have all of the features and the app is really awesome because I can arm my house when I’ve already left. And the cost is reasonable. I like that they don’t increase their rates after the first year. Frontpoint gives me a sense of security.

I recently moved up to Orlando and being in a new area, I wanna have a little sense of security and that confidence that my family has that extra level of security. I liked Frontpoint's customer service and the fact that they offered a state-of-the art technology which is constantly being monitored and updated. So I went with them and so far, my experience with them has been great. Their system involves a a do-it-yourself kind of installation and as long as you read the instructions ahead of time before you start doing the installation, they were clear as day. I'm a millennial, so for me they were perfect. I knew how to install the equipment but I had hiccup with the glass break sensor. I set it off and I didn’t know that if I set it off, I had to call it in so that way they could turn off the sensor or they would show me how to do it on my app, which at the that time, I didn’t download the app.

So I called Frontpoint for assistance and they got superb customer service. Initially, I thought that I was gonna wait for the next 30 to 45 minutes. But I was helped out within the first 10 minutes and their reps were very nice and polite. They made sure that everything was up and they stayed on the line until everything was running.

With Frontpoint, I have exactly what I need to protect my house. I'm able to remotely turn the system on and off using the smartphone app, and it's quick and responsive. That was one of the reasons why I wanted Frontpoint. I know that other corporations have that, too, but Frontpoint's app is user-friendly and if I forget to arm it, I could just open up the app and turn it on within 5 to 10 seconds with my fingerprint. Through my iPhone, the first thing that opens up is a question asking if I wanna arm or disarm the system. Then, everything else I can look and play around with it. I was thinking about doing the doorbells as well but I don't know if Frontpoint has that. There's also a problem with my walk-in as the doorbell is on the side. It's not directly under the door.

Other than that, the system has been working well. The other day, my wife unplugged the system and I immediately got an alert that “the power went out and that it went on the battery setting.” I would also highly recommend Frontpoint. But they are a little pricey. We're talking about $45 where there's a lot of competition out there that is offering the system for a lot cheaper.

I come from a sales industry and I know that you can put quality with price to a certain extent. But with Frontpoint, $30 to $35 would be better because other companies even give out the equipment for free, whereas, I purchased this equipment from Frontpoint. I have also recommended them to some relatives and friends, and they didn’t go with Frontpoint because their monthly price was almost $15 to $20 more expensive than the nearest competition. So when my contract is over, I would see if there's something better. Hopefully by that time, Frontpoint has adjusted their price based on the competition.

Frontpoint didn’t make it real clear in the stuff I signed up for that it was do-it-yourself. I got a box of stuff in the mail so I called them. The customer service reps were very good. When I complained that I expected it to be installed he said it was gonna be real easy. But when I told him I didn’t want to deal with it right then because I got a broken back, he was fine with it and he took the stuff back.

Because I was treated so well I finally decided to go ahead and do a do-it-yourself. I went ahead and reordered it and the system was easy to install and it works as advertised. However, I wish they would have more explanation on the website. They didn’t send me any information on how to install it or how this whole thing works, which should have been done before I even ordered it. Also I don’t find a real good place to just go in and see what are the different sensors available for my product. For a guy like me that’s technically-oriented, I would like to know a little bit about it. If I'm putting it up, I'd like to know what it does and its specs and they don’t give that.

People are nice and it works, but as far as getting information on it, until you order it, you don’t have anything. The information that they give out to the general public is very poor. After I had that back surgery, I was gone for about three months, and that kind of scared me being gone that long, but I feel better since having Frontpoint.

I had never lived alone before, and I live in an area of town that isn’t often zoned as the safest part so I decided that while I wasn’t home, it would be best to start with having a security system installed. I did some research and Frontpoint came up as really well-rated. Also, the crash and smash feature on this system which does not allow people enough time before a signal is sent to smash the system once entering the home was an ideal selling point for me. I notified them and the rep that called was very pleasant, easy to speak to and understandable. She communicated clearly about the benefits of Frontpoint and her own personal experience with it. It was pretty simple and straightforward.

My dad and I did the installation in 15 minutes and it was very easy to follow. I really love the app. When I leave in the morning, I change one of the arming because the dog is in the house. I love that I have it set up and I can do it when I leave the house in the morning. I can leave the house and get out to my car, and when I’m sitting at the first stop light, I'll usually remember and arm the house. I also love that the app is real time and I get notifications. If my parents say, “Hey, we’re gonna go pick up your dog,” they can get into the house. I know right where they’re in the house and when they leave. Overall the cost is well-balanced between what you’re getting and what you’re paying for. My parents weren't able to use their phone and have an app for their system without it being an extra cost, and the fact that it was included in Frontpoint's service has been encouraging and helpful. I would definitely encourage others to go for them.

I liked the price and the ease of setup of Frontpoint. But the saleswoman that I originally dealt with lied and misled me on the price. I’m in Canada and they were in the US, and the exchange rate always changes. I was told they would reimburse me whatever the difference was with the exchange rate every month, and that never happened. But when I called and complained, they were good about it. The rep said that was not how it worked, but he set a cheaper rate up for me and took off 15 bucks a month from what the price was. In the long run, that worked out great.

I picked the equipment that I wanted and they mailed it to me, and I liked that instead of having someone come to my house to deliver it. In contrast, when I called other companies, it was a hassle to set up appointments. The installation was great. I had one little issue, though, but it was due to my not reading the instructions properly in programming the screen pad. The equipment was easy to set up and doing that took 20 minutes.

I was reading a review online and I found that Frontpoint was one of the better ones for the price. I also liked the fact that everything was wireless and I didn’t have to get a landline like I had to with ADT, and that was a big factor. So far, I've been quite satisfied with the service I got from Frontpoint's reps and that’s why I didn’t return the products back to them. They gave me a pretty good trial period as well. With my previous home, I tried using ADT and I wasn’t happy with the way they treated me and the hidden clauses in their contract. But I didn’t have that issue with Frontpoint, so I'm very happy with them.

When I installed the system, the sensors were new to me so I called customer service. They walked me through and told me how to do it. It was very simple to install and if you're the person who likes to reads stuff, the instructions would be quite sufficient. But if you're someone like me who doesn’t like to read, then you're better off calling them. All the features that the package currently offers are the features that I would require, but if there are a couple of free items that they could toss in, that would be really great, especially for someone who buys a bunch of sensors. As of the moment, I haven't taken the highest level of protection from them because I don’t want it as of now. I'll probably think about that in the future though.

Other than that, the system's quality is excellent and it works well. The smartphone feature is easy to use, too. In fact, a little while ago, my wife and I had gone out on a vacation and we forgot to alarm the house but we were able to do it on our phone. Also, for the price and the services offered, Frontpoint has a great price. And since I got them, I sleep like a baby.

I have a son that sleepwalks and he's been known to exit the house. The neighbors had some break-ins, too, and I wanted the peace of mind. Since Frontpoint seemed like they were a good company, I went with them. I also liked the reviews I read about them, their response time, and price point. When I got the box, I opened it up and took the little tags out of the sensors so the battery would get activated. There was some adhesive tape on them and I just stuck them to wherever I was gonna mount them. The system was easy to set up and when you connect the main motherboard or plug the control panel in, you could walk through the initial set-up and name each of the sensors for the front door, back door, as well as the garage door, and it works from there. You could change the chimes like a cellphone, too.

When I talked with their reps over the phone, they were friendly and helpful, plus they answered all my questions. It also seemed like their service was fairly quick as far as the shipping time from when I ordered to them sending me the stuff out. It's been easy to pay for the warranty every month as well with the auto-pay. I like the smartphone features, too. It's convenient. I had a false alarm go off the other day and I was able to turn it off from being at work. I also have the ring doorbell and that seems to work well, too. But the quality of the system is comparable to anything else that you can find on Amazon. They're all pretty much the same.

Also, the initial package includes three door sensors and a glass break sensor, but if there were more sensors offered in the bundle for the same price, that’d be better. In fact, you could buy double or triple the sensors for half the cost elsewhere. Knowing that there are other options out there, I wouldn’t recommend Frontpoint. And after the three years are up, I'm gonna buy an unmonitored system through Amazon where I'd get 10 sensors for $300 and there's no monthly cost. After six to eight months, it kinda pays for itself as opposed to an ongoing payment for three years and just having a few sensors. So, I'm making use of the sensors I have right now because each additional glass break sensor costs anywhere from $35 to $70, depending on what type of sensor you get. And if I had to do it again, I would choose something else that’s unmonitored that I could see from phone as well as the camera.

The other thing Frontpoint could improve is not starting with a three-year contract. With them, you're kinda locked in to spending $35 a month for three years and if you wanna bail out after a year, there's a hefty penalty. I called last week about wanting to bail out and they said I'd have to pay over $1,000. Having a month-to-month contract would be much better.

When we pulled up to our place the first day, we saw somebody walking around, trying the door handles of cars. We thought that a security system was definitely necessary. Frontpoint was one of the more affordable home security systems that actually have a functional equipment. Dealing with their reps was an enjoyable experience. I didn’t feel pressured at all to get the system. They also worked with me to find a price that works for myself and allowed me to take advantage of a one-year contract versus a three-year contract, which was extremely nice considering I’m only gonna be in this area for about a year.

The installation went okay. It was not the easiest but definitely not hard to grasp. Some of the stuff on the internet wasn’t necessarily working though. Plus, I wasn’t sure if the package was supposed to come with attachments, but we had to go out and buy some adhesives. The devices themselves work though. I love the fact that every time you open the doors that are equipped with sensors, the home station beeps and goes off so we know when people are coming in and out of our apartment. Our front door is down the stairs from our living room so we can’t see it and the system is more of a peace of mind thing. We're also able to lock in and secure the apartment at night, which has been a big help and a nice assurance. I live with one other roommate and if he’s out of town, then it’s nice to be able to lock everything up.

The smartphone feature is a great aspect of the system. I like the push notifications and being able to lock the apartment when I’m not even there. The smartphone features take advantage over the camera features by a lot. The camera features aren’t as used as I thought they would be. At first, I was under the impression that it was a continuous monitoring with these cameras. There are times when we wish that we weren't under contract, just because we haven’t really used the monthly monitoring at all.

There was a point in time where we had the equipment, but our Wi-Fi provider didn’t set the Wi-Fi up until Sunday even though we got it Monday. During that time span, a moped of ours was stolen from the back where we would have had a camera directly working at it. Having a moped was a big reason why we had one of the cameras out there.

The quality of the equipment is fantastic. It’s easy to use and the home box, where you put in your password, is heavy. I appreciate the attention to detail that Frontpoint puts into its products, but seeing where I am now and having lived here for four months, I'd tell others to at least consider something that’s not under contract. All in all though, working with Frontpoint has been a fantastic experience. The service is great and we've enjoyed it a lot. It brings reassurance and peace of mind.

I was moving to a new home so I decided to purchase a home security system. My sons are using Frontpoint so I went with them too. The Frontpoint reps that I dealt with were courteous, thoughtful and very helpful. The installation was easy although I had some issues with the garage door sensor and it triggered the alarm to go off. It just kept beeping but it didn't set the alarm off loudly. So, we ended up getting charged a $150 and we were in the house at that time. I had accidentally set off the alarm before and it was really loud. I really don't believe that I slept through that, but apparently we did.

Furthermore. the features don't work all the time. We have activated the alarm remotely with the app and it doesn't activate it. Sometimes it triggers when one left the house and we didn't arm the alarm. It should only trigger when both phones have left the house and we don't arm the alarm. I know the other phone is at home because the other person's at home. It happened consistently.

Nevertheless, their cost is comparable to other security systems. We're at a safe neighborhood and all of the security systems are wholly dependent on us being good about locking the doors and activating the system. Everything is useless if you don't use it. Despite the problems, when I have called customer service, they tried to figure out why I owed the city a $150. They were very helpful in telling me when the alarm has been set off and when the police have been called to come out.

For safety and to protect our inhabitants, we bought a home security system. Frontpoint's sales process was great and easy. The rep was knowledgeable. However, I added smash sensors for the windows, but I never got them. Then when I asked about it, the sales guy said he didn’t even talk about them in the sales process, which was off-putting. That was a major issue that almost caused me not to go with the service. We liked their system's cost though.

Once, I had an issue with a door sensor. I did a remodel on the house and needed a new sensor. Frontpoint sent one out right away, which was good. But I had a problem with an alarm and the response on the phone wasn’t as good as I expected it would be. The installation was super easy. I did it on my phone myself and it literally took less than an hour. The system's features are great and easy to use. And it works with cellular technology. Their app is good and intuitive. It's easy to set when we’re away.

I know that the systems now are wireless and cheaper, and they were gonna hardwire a new system, so I said, "No, we could do wireless now." I've had ADT for many years and its service is excellent and the same as Frontpoint's. However, I liked Frontpoint's price better. Also, the system is easy to install. It took less than an hour. I have everything. It's wireless, I have the camera, the doors and windows. I'm very happy with it. When I had a little question about something, I called Frontpoint and they answered it easily. I have already recommended Frontpoint to several other people.

Security is important to our family. I usually go with the big guys, but I’m not a fan of not owning your equipment and the weird stuff that goes along with it. I’ve tried ADT and Central Security before, but both of them were way too expensive, so I switched. I found Frontpoint and since I'm a DIY guy, putting the home security system together would be a cool experience. I also like hooking things up to my automation system, which I could do with them. The first rep who set me up was a really good guy and was very thorough. He explained everything and then gave me a great deal. The sign-up process was very easy too.

The installation of the system was super easy. It was similar to the IKEA furniture when I create it in the sense that it was very detailed and very easy to follow. Everything was numbered and was a process. I also liked being in control of when and how I install it versus having to wait for the installers to be here which could take up my whole day.

I love the features that are offered with our system including the glass break, the whole monitoring element of it, and how it interacts with my system. I’m feeling a little safer with that. With other security systems, the glass break would have to specifically be on every single window. I have a lot of windows and with this one, in relation to where my glass break sensor is to the other windows, it can almost share it. So, I’m cutting the cost, but I still feel incredibly safe because of that element. Majority of the time, thieves are not looking at the door, they are looking at windows and different areas that they can go and smash to get in and get out. But with this, I have the monitoring on it. If the thieves come in, the sensor will hear it, the alarm will go off and we will be notified.

The smartphone features are good, as well. I like how they are with Alarm.com. It’s a very authoritative system whenever it comes to home protection and it hasn’t failed yet. Then, any time I’ve had something go wrong with the features, Frontpoint has been very quick to call, so I am highly satisfied with their product and customer service. Also, the cost is amazing. I had a set up costing about $300 before just to get all the stuff sent to me. With Frontpoint, it's a $42-a-month cost and it’s easy to add on.

Overall, Frontpoint is great. I’ve recommended them to a couple of different people already because of the cost and the easy installation, and they send everything to you. I wish they will keep doing what they are doing. They should also keep innovating, making new products, and sending the emails with new things that they are doing with the sales. They should keep doing integrations with automation too. If they stay with that, they’re gonna have a lot of very happy customers like myself.

I wanted to secure a home I purchased and the very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous salesman I spoke with gave me the best deal on the maximum amount of equipment. He was very aware of all the deals going on and we kept contact for a month before I made a decision and called him back. He kept telling me about all the different amenities Frontpoint offered and helped seal the deal.

The most least technologically-advanced person could figure out the installation if they watch videos and read the instructions. I was doing multiple things at the same time but if I pull all the time together, then the installation would have taken me 20 minutes. It was very simple and user-friendly. The system is great quality and I'm very satisfied. It was customized to the openness I had in my household and I liked the features a lot. I feel a lot more secure I have it in my household and the app is easy. Also, the cost is fair and I like the fact that I own the equipment after three years.

I only had one sensor fail and they sent me a replacement right away. It's a self-care system and I haven't had an issue since. However, I was told they were offering a special deal and I wouldn't have known if I didn’t call and a representative didn’t inform me. It would be nice if Frontpoint worked on a newsletter to inform their members. Overall, I'll always figure out some people to go with Frontpoint. I had ADT for a long time and I like Frontpoint better for the reason that once I buy the equipment, I can move it versus when I was with ADT where every time I move, it extended the contract for three more years.

I talked to their reps on the phone and tell them which plan I wanted. Then, I paid it and they sent the equipment in the mail. It was pretty easy to assemble. I did it myself and I just called them to set up the monitoring part of it. It was really simple and I was pleased with it. I have the basic features but there’s a lot more that I could get. They're sold separately. I didn't know about that at first, but that's good. I just didn't like that it didn't come with a keychain to activate the system. I had to purchase it separately. Other than that, the cost is fair all the way around. And when the alarm got triggered, the police came and I was contacted by Frontpoint pretty fast. So, I got a bit more confident in them. They're pretty much on par with each other but Frontpoint has a couple of additional internet interconnected things that make it handy as far as using the mobile app. The installation of the system was relatively straightforward. There were some of the double-back tapes for the motion sensor that was not as reliable. It came off after a while. I had to call their reps and I had to replace that with some store-bought stuff. But as far as that goes, that's not a big deal. Also, I have everything that I need with the features. I have door sensors, the window sensors, and one motion sensor. My husband researched on the internet and Frontpoint had a good rating. Also, you can buy the equipment from them and set it up yourself. My daughter has ADT and the cost was a lot more if you have them come and set everything up. Vivint was also over here and we almost bought a system from them, but we didn't buy it at the end because there was a hidden charge which was more than what they said. So it was more cost-effective for us to go with Frointpoint. I had to tell their sales rep how many monitors I wanted and it was a pretty straight-up interaction. Then, my husband did everything over the phone with them when we set up the system. The installation was easy and my husband is really good at electronic things anyway, so it was not a big deal.

One time, when I accidentally walked out in my front door to get my mail, I forgot I had left the alarm system on, and when I came back in the alarm was going off. I was so surprised because it was so loud and I'd never heard it before. So, I raced over and put the code in, but then my phone rang and it was Frontpoint. And the girl talked to me so fast over the phone that I couldn't even understand what she said. I had ADT for a few years and they suddenly raised their prices so much. It was ridiculous. I had already known for a couple of years that there were less expensive places that were just as good if not better. So, I started searching around and I found Frontpoint online. I looked into it and the more I did, the more I thought, "Okay, let's do it." So, I switched over. I had to go around and redo all the attachments with the doors and that wasn't too bad. But I was a little surprised that I didn't get many warning stickers for windows or anything but that was okay. I don't have that many windows and doors.

It took me a little while with the installation because I'm elderly and it took me a while to get around, but I got it done. Also, it took me a little while to get used it. But each time I changed any application, then it was easier for me to do the next one. By the time I was done, I thought it was no big deal. The phone service is an excellent thing, too. When I started getting into it and learning more about it, the people I talked to were all very helpful. I had a couple of problems with the installation and I called them up and they quickly told me what to do and how to do it. It was easy talking to them and their descriptions. That was very good and impressive.

The one thing I keep noticing is that with ADT, the alarm box would ring a bell or a buzzer and it would tell me which door it was that had opened. And so, by the sound, my ears would go up and I would hear what door it was that was open. Whereas, with Frontpoint's system, it declares what door it is and then it gives the sound. So, oftentimes, if I'm busy, I don't quite catch what door it is that just opened, but I know that it did because I heard a sound. I suggest they switch the sound to attract your attention and then tell you what it is that's being opened. But if anybody asked me, I would sure recommend Frontpoint because if they want a do-it-yourself installation, Frontpoint's is pretty simple.

I've had a home security system for years. I moved and I switched to Frontpoint after I did some research. I like their equipment and the reviews that I saw. Frontpoint's sales team was very patient and attentive to my questions. The installation went fairly well. I just had some issues with the glass breakers falling off the wall because the adhesive doesn’t stick well. Even so, the equipment is doing what it's supposed to do. The features are good as well and the cost is comparable to what I was paying before. Frontpoint is a good system. For the money that you pay, Frontpoint will give you more equipment than some of the other security companies will do.

We had ADT as a previous security provider and we switched over to Frontpoint. Their price points are similar but I got a good discount from the initial deal when I ordered Frontpoint's equipment. Frontpoint is competitive price-wise, and their mobile option is ahead of ADT's. The landline was a big problem then, but with Frontpoint, I don't have to have a landline anymore in order to use their services.

The Frontpoint system was easy to assemble. The packaging itself walked me through the installation very well. The instructions were easy to follow and although I had to call a couple of times, someone was available right away and was very helpful over the phone. The smartphone features make it easier for me and my family to turn the system off and on and see activities. But the system's control box is extremely clunky and big, and I had to get an electrician to come in and install it, drop the AC adaptor through the wall, and then patch it a bit. It isn’t the sleekest looking box and that is probably where Frontpoint can upgrade a bit. I also would have liked to get more window sensors with the initial bundle or possibly a deal on the outdoor camera. It’s a good thing that no one breaks into the house but one can’t really tell from the monitoring standpoint. Still, for the most part, the Frontpoint system has been good and it functions well.

This time of the year and this kind of life, one needs some security when they're not around their house. I looked online and Frontpoint was rated up there. I got cameras and I thought they were gonna be outdoor cameras but they're not. I talked to another woman that has a 35-dollar camera she mounted in her house and it does everything she wants it to do. But I don't know what to do with mine. I didn't put them and I've never touched them. I'm not real happy about that. Frontpoint can have them back if they want. They're not gonna do me any good and there's a different technology that I can use.

Everybody has been really nice, though, and I'm pleased with the magnetic strips on the doors and the recording of the information which I can go online and get. It's just nobody is offering to put these cameras in and what I'm supposed to do. They sold me something and I'm supposed to put in. I didn't appreciate that. That isn't what I thought I purchased. Also, somebody called once and they told me I didn't have the right password although I know what I used. Frontpoint gets advance payment of $50 a month. But as soon as I can get rid of this, I'm getting rid of it and I'm gonna get somebody in here, a professional who knows what they're doing. I'm looking at going to a different security firm, somebody that comes out and puts it in professionally and somebody that knows what they're doing.

Getting a home security system was something that has been running around at the back of my mind for a while. We had ADT come and install a system, but we were very unhappy with the results and had it removed right before we had Frontpoint come in. The interactions I've had with the Frontpoint reps were done on the phone and they've been great. Any questions we've had and any additions we've made, they walked us right through the process and they stayed right on the phone until it was up and running. I've been very happy with them. My husband did the installation, but we called a couple of times to get things finalized because they could take us to a certain step in the installation, then we had to install something, and then we could call them back and go to the next step. We spent an afternoon getting the system installed and the customer support that was provided helped us get the installation complete.

Frontpoint is acres and acres better in terms of service and reliability compared to the previous system installed. We got everything we had hoped for. It's cool to be at work and be able to look on my phone to see what's going on in the house. If the cats had been in trouble, now I know who did it. We want to be able to see our home on the cell phone or check it before we get home and Frontpoint will turn the feature on after we've left. I'm also impressed with the equipment because we don't open the door here without the system knowing it, which is nice. Even if I am at home by myself and somebody opened the door, I hear the beep. It's also nice to have that security to know that if I forgot to lock the door when I got in the house, it's gonna beep and let us know somebody's coming.

The smartphone features have also been functioning very well. I've not had a time that there was any interruption with the service. I'm very pleased with the cost as well. I've talked to a lot of different people that I've worked with that have had systems installed and they are paying significantly more money, but they are not getting anything more than we are getting. I referred two people to Frontpoint because of my experience with them. Knowing the system is there makes a big difference. I know that the system is okay when I'm walking and it beeps. There is the sense of calmness that I'm not worried when I'm at home. Even when I'm not at home, I'm not worried so much because something's gonna go off and if that doesn't scare someone off, it's gonna at least alert them to somebody who pays attention.

I was also very impressed with the customer service reps of Frontpoint, because, initially, we had to upgrade our Wi-Fi because the system wasn't strong enough for the video feed. The reps stayed on the phone with us while we did all kinds of tests, and I was surprised. They must have spent two hours on the phone with us trying to get this figured out why it wasn't feeding like they thought it should be. At our end, we were getting frustrated it wasn't working, but on their end, they were calm and kept walking us through everything. That was impressive because we don't often see that service level anymore.

We live in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood of almost little to no crime. But having a home security system gives peace of mind for my wife when she’s home alone or when we’re sleeping. We used to have LiveWatch before and we switched over to Frontpoint. We used the exact same equipment as we did with LiveWatch, and Frontpoint showed us how to use it, so it was great for us. They took the time to talk to us about how to set everything up, the best way to use it, how to dive into the system, and make changes. It was a hands-on customer experience. I was impressed.

We added a couple more units of sensors, and Frontpoint helped us get that switched over to the new touchscreen monitor. We have a camera and they helped us set up different settings on it that we thought we had, but we didn't know how to set it up and LiveWatch never walked us through it. The Frontpoint system fits into our budget, and it's comforting for us to have a camera and be able to watch it from outside of the home if it gets triggered for any reason. If we’re gone for the weekend, the sensor goes off and says we’ve got motion or whatever going on in front of our house. We love the app. It's nice that we can just pop the app open and take a look at what’s going on, and make sure it’s not something that we should be concerned about. For the price of the system, we're satisfied with Frontpoint. I sell real estate, and I tell everybody that I work with about it. We highly recommend Frontpoint.

We had a security system before and we wanted to upgrade it. However, fall the stuff that we got from Frontpoint was not satisfying our needs. We wanted to be able to see the kids. I also work at night and my husband travels. Still, after spending over $800 on the system, their video camera was not working. They say it wasn’t compatible and we had to purchase something. But they said there’s nothing like that because we have 5G so we switched back and it was very frustrating. When we called the technical support, the rep said they were sorry and that they can’t help me. I called several times to have it canceled. They gave us the run-around and they are still not canceling. Right now, their system is there but it’s not turned on because I have another system.

Also, because it was a contract, Frontpoint wants us to pay over $1,200. I said it wasn’t a breach of contract on our part because their camera is not working for us. When I had ADT and when we went back to them, we have all four cameras and I can see the kids 24/7. I couldn’t get Frontpoint to do that and now, they still want us to pay.

I did a lot of research and I found the best reviews and experience from people were coming from Frontpoint. Also, they make a fixed price for a long time and get the equipment paid off on the first time so I went with them.

I tried to purchase online. When I put my phone number and information, I got a phone call from them immediately. They were very good and they explained everything to me. This is the first time I use a security system and they got me through everything like step-by-step. Also, the installation was so easy. There are very good videos online. And when I asked for a new sensor for the window, I couldn't do it but when I called the guys, they fixed it right away and made it work in minutes. The features have been perfect so far and the cost is okay. It's not cheap nor expensive and it's fixed for two years. I'm the only one with Frontpoint in the neighborhood and that makes me a little bit hesitant about my security. But when I make another search, I couldn't see anything that makes me not use Frontpoint. I feel safer with the system and I've already recommended some of my friends.

I'm out of the city most of the time so my wife is by herself and I needed some security on my home. I liked that everything is wireless with Frontpoint. You don’t need to have internet or any wired ones in your home. The sales and customer service reps were good and offered me some of the extra benefits for free. That was a good deal. I installed it myself and I got it at first try. Everything worked and it was good to go. The instructions were detailed and simple. For the price, it was a good buy and we’re happy. However, it has a three-year contract. Lowering the contract term will make it even better.

Right now, I got the basic features of the system but I want to get the wireless camera for the door in the future. I can check the status from work using the smartphone features. The sensors tell me if something is going on. Anywhere I go, I can see what's going on at home. Who's coming in or out, when the doors are opening, and if the alarm is off, whenever to turn it on. Frontpoint is a good fit and I feel much more secure.

Frontpoint is a lot better than my previous security system in Long Island. Their reps are outstanding. The alarms were very easy to install, but the cameras were not. The website is not truthful on that part and I called to complain about that already. With the cameras, you have to actually get somebody on the phone and install them. It took more than 45 minutes for the installation of that with somebody on the phone. Still, I would highly recommend Frontpoint. The signal is crystal clear. Every time a door opens, closes or the alarm is set off, I get a message. The features cover all bases and the prices are comparably reasonable. They offer all the protection that one could have on a home. They also offer discounted coupons which I was happy to receive, so it made it more cost-effective for me to get the cameras.

I wanted the system because there are bad people in the world and if we're away, between Frontpoint and the dogs, I pretty much keep all my stuff. Frontpoint was also rated as one of the top and they had everything that I wanted. You get more than what you pay for too. AT&T wants a ton of money and yet, you would pretty much get the same thing with Frontpoint for a whole lot less.

Frontpoint's representatives were great too. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was also easy to install the system. The instructions were clear and concise. I purchased a home security system for safety reasons and the installation of the Frontpoint system was easy. I thought Frontpoint would be the best choice at first. But now that I look back at the three-year contract, it's not the right choice for me because of the equipment I have. I told the customer service what I needed and they told me at first to get 2 window breakers. Then, because my house is so small, they said that I can get away with just doing one if I put it in the central location of the house, which is the kitchen area, and that should cover the bedrooms too. Now, I only have my 2 doors secured and one window breaker but I’m not sure that I feel safe and secure with the system.

The three-year contract is also wrong for me because I don’t know how long I’m gonna be where I am. I understand that I can bring the system with me, but I don’t know if I’m gonna end up in an apartment. The contract is unreasonable compared to other companies out there. They should alter the price based on the equipment someone has or the size of the house. The monthly fee for what I have is not a great deal because I could have gotten a better system with my whole house monitored for a little more and I would have paid a little more for the equipment.

I like the fact that I could monitor the status of my home from my mobile phone. During installation, all I had to do was mount the sensors on the wall by following the directions and I used their app to synchronize the sensor with the security system. The $40 cost a month is not too expensive for motion sensor, door sensors and the ability to use an app to monitor and control that stuff. I planned to call them back because one of my door sensors is open all the time so I need a replacement. I don’t know if that’s because of the placement of the sensor or if it's malfunctioned. Nonetheless, the security equipment seems to work great.

You can control everything from the website or the app in the iPhone. Our Frontpoint system is a little bit more expensive than the other system that I tried, but it's not that bad because it's more easy to work with and the quality is better than the other one. Frontpoint's customer service is very good. The rep I worked with was a nice person. At first, the rep helped me install everything and explained to me how the system worked and then the next time, I did the installation by myself. The directions were very easy to follow.

Anything with the service is good but sometimes, the screen freezes. So, I had to press the two buttons, the X and the home for my monitor, and then restore it. It is all good, but it happens once in a while. Also the sensors have some errors. There were a couple of times that the police came because of a sensor error. We thought somebody was breaking in but it was just the sensor. Still, I like the features in our system. They're good. I use the smartphone features and it was hard to figure out at first. It's not that intuitive like other apps. But once you figure it out, then you get the logic of how it works and it's fine.

I downloaded an app into my phone and it walked me through it. My problem was when I got to the last thing which is the glass sensor, the app hung up, but it was installed properly.

Also, I’m really happy with the features, but it’s a learning curve if you haven’t had an alarm system before. I would come home with a chunk load of groceries and forget that the one on the garage door is on. I would open the garage door, start unloading the car, and then the thing would off. And if I’m home and I’m working around the house, I go in and out and I leave the inside garage door open. I get texts telling me, “Your garage door is open,” or “You left your garage door open,” which I know I did. It sends me more notices than I need to know. But I understand that. Other than that, the equipment is great and it works great. My mother feels more secure when I leave for work that there’s an alarm system in place.

I’m very happy with Frontpoint. I did some research on the internet and websites doing reviews of security systems advertised Frontpoint as a solid and good provider, and the installation is very simple. The man who introduced me to the whole process for the very first call was very informative, patient and detailed. I had plenty of questions about the things that I didn’t fully understand before. The gentleman clearly explained everything, making sure that I understand every aspect. My questions are fully answered, which was great. He helped me with the initial setup. After that, he told me that I can add more sensors that I need. But for the very first setup, he recommended the setup based on my explanation of what our house looks like.

Everything seems to be working as advertised. We have a few sensors and two of them have glitch, and they couldn’t produce a good system without additional phone call. So, something was off with this but it is great that everything could be resolved with a single phone call. Every single interaction was very polite and very nice.

I have confidence that everything is working well. The automation is something that is almost good, but not as great as I initially pictured it. Still, there are things that are great such as the geofencing that allows us to turn on lights in our house as we’re coming home. I recently realized that it can be done with Frontpoint, but it’s going all-around because it’s basing on emails being sent and then monitored in different places or aspects. Being able to respond if an alarm has been disarmed will be super helpful. It is something that legitimately works already except it has a very long latency, so it takes several minutes. With just a simple signal being sent from the system, the house can turn on lights everywhere as we’re coming home and disarming the alarm. It would be absolutely lovely to have, but I can do without.

When I installed the first motion sensors, I lacked information. It wasn’t very clear to me that the motion sensors work only in horizontal layer. They don’t work in 3D. So, it’s not a conical shape that they monitor, but rather just an adjusted small angle. So, the first time I installed those sensors, I couldn’t even test them. They didn’t really respond well. So, that was also resolved from the phone call. I already recommended Frontpoint to a few friends.

The installation also went pretty well. I had to do a little bit of reading but when I ran into an issue, I called them and they guided me. It’s pretty simple. At first, I was a little bit concerned because I have some windows in the living room where Frontpoint told me that I didn’t need to have sensors. I have one glass-break in that room and then I have another upstairs. Not all my windows have sensors but I’m sure they work.

Still, the system is doing pretty well. The only problem is that I have the older keypad and I wanted to get one of their latest ones. However, when I call, they say it’s on backorder. Other than that, it is nice that I have a door that I can lock through my phone. I didn’t have that option with my previous provider which was a wired system. So overall, Frontpoint's system is better than what I used to have.
