The only feature we had on our previous security system was our door sensors because our motion sensors couldn’t work. It would go off every time our cat would walk by. We would like to have the glass break sensor from Frontpoint. And dealing with their rep was very straightforward and their knowledge on their product seems pretty good. The installation was, overall, easy. There were two issues that we had and their people were able to help us quickly over the phone to get that fixed. And the rest of the installation went fine after that.

Most of the time, I arm and disarm the Frontpoint system from the console, but it’s nice that the smartphone app is available as well. I put in a couple of comments for improvement on their app and one of them was addressed quickly, but they never addressed the other one. If my alarm is not set and then somebody breaks into my house, the alarm is not going to go off. So I was asking them to see if there was a way to set off the alarm right away with the smartphone app and alert the police. But I haven’t had anybody’s response about it.

We're happy with the features that we have on our system. But there are very few options that can synch up with it. It would be nice if there were more compatible video options. Also, the system could definitely be cheaper. There are other security systems out there that are a whole lot cheaper than Frontpoint. Other than that, the quality of the equipment has been good, so far. With Frontpoint, I would probably know more if we had a break-in.

I work late shift and my wife didn't feel the safest without me here at night. So, she wanted a security system added onto the house. We started looking for one and we went with Frontpoint because of the price. They also ended up giving us a good deal on extra equipment. I had a couple of other prices and offers from other companies at the time but Frontpoint matched them and they were not afraid to make a move to help out.

Their reps were great and helpful, too. I liked talking to them over the phone and they were friendly. When I told them about all my windows and doors, they set me up with a whole system within half an hour. The installation was easy as well. They have a bunch of Youtube videos and an app that has everything set up. You plug in the panel then it connects itself. All the door sensors and window sensors are pre-programmed to the panel. Your account and the cameras are pre-programmed, too. So once you set them up and connect them, they're all ready to go running the app.

I like all the features of our security system. Everything's innocuous in the house. Originally, I was gonna get a touchscreen panel but Frontpoint didn't have that and the guy was certain that the normal push button panels have the same functionality. It does and I like the push buttons a little more than the touchscreen. It also looks good. But the lowest motion sensitivity setting for the doorbell camera is still too sensitive and it picks up cars driving on the road. So in a week, I had 90% of my online storage full. Other than that, the smartphone feature is easy to use and the UI is really nicely designed. I could be at work and I could get on the cameras just within two button presses. Since having the system, my wife feels a lot better about being home at night without me. It's worth it and I've recommended Frontpoint to a friend.

To keep an eye on our place when we're not here, I purchased a home security system and I'm happy with what I got now. The instructions were easy to follow and the features that I have seemed to be working fine. I've only used the smartphone features a few times but it has been fine as well. Frontpoint's service is a little expensive, but it's for a couple of years. I'll stick it out. Hindsight is always 20-20. There are other ways to protect the home without that extent, and when the time comes, I'll be exploring that. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint.

I rest better since having Frontpoint in our home. We had ADT but we switched to Frontpoint because the price was better. As far as them contacting me when something goes wrong, they're solid just like ADT. Frontpoint's equipment was affordable, too, and the installation was easy. I did it myself and I called in to verify that everything is working properly. Everything seems to be good. One thing I noticed was that my Wi-Fi is 100/100, but one of the cameras in particular would sometimes go in and out, and I have to keep retrying. But other than that, the system is fine. Also, the app is perfect for me. I can arm or disarm my system, see inside the house, and check the cameras.

When we moved from Hawaii to Colorado Springs, I looked at the different security systems for the area. Frontpoint was one of the rated number one security systems so we decided to go with them. Also, their customer service reps were helpful with the information and they didn't call and hound us about getting the system. They gave us a good discount as well.

The instructions that came with the system that we got was good. Setting up the system was easy and the app walked us through any instructions that came in the box. The system has good quality too. We have the doorbell and the indoor living room cameras and they both work well. I don't like that the indoor camera is wired, but it's better than always having to charge it and change it. The app works well also. We paid for the full plan and we're planning on getting a couple more cameras and the automated cameras. I've already recommended Frontpoint to a couple of friends and now they have the same system that we have. We were supposed to get three months free, but they only gave us two, which was fine.

My daughter is going through a divorce and needed a place to be, and we needed a security system because it is a volatile situation. I called several security companies and got it down to two. I read ratings on how dependable a security system was and Frontpoint came out on top. I was frustrated with them when we had an alarm fell off the wall and it started ringing. Because everybody was in a panic situation, we couldn't remember the passcode. If a person can't remember the code, there should be a certain word that could be produced which only that person knows in order to shut off the alarm. Other than that, the features that were offered with the system serves our purpose.

I'd like to expand a bit, particularly with an outside camera but I put it off because as I call them, they try to sell me a whole bunch of stuff. I just want questions answered and how much it would cost then let me think about it. If I ask a question about something, it's like I'm gonna keep getting calls about it and I feel hounded. Also, Frontpoint's cost is a little high. When I compare similar systems, I figure I'm paying $15 more a month than I really should be. We recently also had a few issues with not being able to disarm the system with the phone. Every once in a while, we have a little glitch and that makes a little uneasy. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with Frontpoint and it's something I can depend on 98% of the time.

I found one website that listed the 10 best security systems and Frontpoint was in the 10 best because of customer satisfaction. Frontpoint's customer service is great, but there are a lot of issues with the system itself. The amount of money they charge is not worth it with the other systems that I had seen afterward. Now, I'm locked up for three years with the fee. I cannot even access my phone. For $150 bucks, I can buy the equipment in any store, like Costco, and have it on my phone. I also think Frontpoint expanded too quickly. They were hiring too many people without proper knowledge. I had to dismount the whole system twice to return because the person that talked to me said, “Oh, we cannot accomplish that.” When I called back to say, “Okay. How can I return all this back?” They said, “Oh, no, you don’t have to do that. We can accommodate you.” So, it was back and forth for a long time, although every time I called, the people were very nice.

I called five different companies to see who would give me what was more accommodating to me within the price range that we were looking for. I explained that my house was over 100 feet long and it was in a long streak. It wasn’t a square house. I installed the Frontpoint system myself and the process was not difficult, but I had to call three times, which took a lot of time, and they had to go through everything and check every one of the window sensors. Eventually, they had to replace my window sensors four times and they had to give me extra ones because half of my windows were not covered.

They were explaining that if you are coming in through the back of my house, by the time the alarm goes off with the window breaker, it's too late. They had to do a lot of adjustments because, in the beginning, the person that took my order did not take the information correctly or did not know everything that he was supposed to use in houses like mine. I'm dissatisfied with Frontpoint and I would not recommend them, but they always try to accommodate my situation, which not all the companies do.

I wanted to secure my property and I thought Frontpoint was a good deal. The installation went all right and there weren't any major snags. But my dissatisfaction with the product is that there are not enough sensors included to do an adequate job of covering our house. There are more windows and doors that need coverage than what came in the kit that was sent. There are significant gaps in the coverage and Frontpoint should add a lot more sensors for doors and windows.

I addressed the issue with Frontpoint and I waited on a text response. When I didn’t get it, I assumed that they had blown me off. But I found their response in my spam. I have yet to get back to them, though. With my wife, myself, and my mother-in-law being sick, the alarm system is something that was put on the backburner until I have more time. But their customer service seemed to be squared away when I talked to them. But for what I'm paying and what I'm getting, there's a disconnect.

There was a lot of theft going on in the area where we live so we purchased a security system. We got Frontpoint. We're not really happy with the camera, but it was our own fault because we should have gotten more information before we purchased it. But we still have it. The customer service is also great. They go out of their way. When I called quite a bit of times to try to get the camera installed, one rep did like a little ticket and then another gentleman called, which I appreciated because he was honest and he told me, “Let me get someone else to call you because I had more questions about the camera." That stood out to me that his information was correct, because sometimes a lot of people are like, “Oh, we're gonna get someone to call you,” and then nobody followed through and you're just there waiting.

They called when they said they would and gave more information. All the representatives when I called were all very helpful. They have a lot of patience, especially the first one that was trying to help install my garage sensor. He was on the line with me for a long time, and he really was trying to figure out the issues, and was patient. He stood out. I really appreciate the standard that they have for the customer service. It does make a difference in the long run because one satisfied customer means a lot of satisfied customers. I also like how the installation was very self-explanatory, like the steps are numbered. The system gives us a little peace of mind. We like the features of the system. I also couldn't complain about the cost. It was like we pretty much got it for free.

I had my friend's husband come in and put the system for me because I didn't wanna make any mistake, and they already put theirs up. I thought that Frontpoint would come in and install the system, but they said it was really simple where anyone can do it and it was.

There were also little hiccups here and there but Frontpoint helped me fix them right away. I use the smartphone features all the time. However, sometimes, it takes longer for the security system to be armed and sometimes not. And sometimes, I would have to call Frontpoint in the beginning. But things are getting better. I had a security system for a while but I wanted to replace ADT because they've become bulky, expensive, and unwilling to talk about the things I needed. In the end, I went with Frontpoint for their price. Their equipment was also easy to use and they provided monitors, sensors, and cameras. Their reps had been very helpful and patient with me when I spoke with them. When I called to get the system, I talked to their rep about what I needed and he started offering the equipment I needed to install. A package was created and he gave me the deal for the whole thing.

Then I was sent the equipment and I had to install it myself. But the directions were not precise due to me not clearly understanding them. I called their customer service more than once and the experience was long and a bit frustrating. It also worries me a little bit that I might've done something wrong. So, the installation could've been made slightly easier. In fact, that was the main reason why I went with a more traditional security system for my business where I didn't have to do the installation myself. Frontpoint's cost is a little on the high side too, and they could be slightly cheaper.

Other than that, Frontpoint system is good for the home and I've been satisfied with what I got from them. I like its quality and I love its smartphone features. I did not get the fobs, just for the ability to use the smartphone, and I never regretted it. I would also recommend it to those who can figure it out and are more techie than I am but I wouldn't recommend it to my parents because they will never configure it out themselves.

When I dug around and did a little research, Frontpoint is the only company that had the type of cellular technology where a smash and grab can't be done on its system. I had great interactions with their reps so far. I'm not at my place all the time and I wanna control the light system. They stepped me through the process of purchasing a bunch of wireless lamps. They also gave me a break and I didn't have to pay for the shipping. Their pricing is great and the cost is affordable. I looked online and the pricing is so much more expensive with Amazon or searching through Google for them. When I installed the system, I've had no complexity. I'm a tech person, so it was easy to set up. There was one issue where one of the magnets disappeared so they sent me another magnet to replace that one for the one door.

I would like to have the Frontpoint system more integrated like Alexa. I use Alexa inside my house, and I'm not that adept at doing a whole lot of things other than asking for the weather, or how to speak a Spanish word. I have a Spanish word a day. It'd be great if I could enable a system through Alexa, but I'm still using the app. The app is sharp and I like that I can control my lights. Another thing too that I want to have is to be able to turn my heat off and on when I'm not there. I did a little research and Frontpoint doesn't have a lot of the common tools, like Nest, ecobee. There are so many of them that I can hook up in my home, and I can hook up with their security system and control it. But Frontpoint has a small amount of Wi-Fi based thermostats that I can use. That would be a plus too if they could use some of the more commercially affordable Wi-Fi thermostat control. But the app is cool and I like that I can turn it on and set everything off.

    Reviewed Jan. 29, 2019

I have had a very bad experience, both with the technology and then with the customer service at Frontpoint. I did a lot of research before choosing them and am very disappointed in my experience on all levels. When I initially purchased the system I was supposed to receive a touch screen pad. For reasons still unknown to me, I was sent the Simon XT which is the old school analog panel that looks like it came from ADT in the 1990s. I called numerous times to check on the status of the touch screen pad and was told a wide variety of things - it was back ordered, I'm on the list to get one, and then finally that they discontinued it altogether.

All the while, someone who I recommended this system to (prematurely, I might add), signed up for Frontpoint, got put on the wait list for a touch screen pad and got one. So not only was I given the run around on the panel for months, but the technology changed completely making it impossible for this to get resolved. Instead they sent me their new "cutting edge product" the Hub, which is a strange white box with no buttons, no screen and a separate wireless keypad. The Hub is buggy and doesn't have any of the capability of even the most simple of products - lights that change color and a separate keypad might look cool but has 0 functionality.

Theoretically you are supposed to use the app anyway, but the app is also unreliable and clunky. To make matters worse, the Hub repeatedly goes offline for hours at a time and, even when it appears to be functioning it is intermittent in its sensing of doors opening and closing. Quite disturbing for an alarm system! During this process, I have called customer service an unreasonable number of times (and spent a lot of time on hold) for responses like "is there any metal in the room where the Hub is? That's probably causing it." I did humor them and move the Hub away from an HVAC vent because they were convinced that was the problem (which seems absurd) but the problems continued.

Now, I've spent the last month trying to get released from my contract without penalty. Seems like an easy request if only to get me to stop calling them.

They give you the run around on this, too, refusing to let you talk directly to a supervisor. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, a supervisor sent me an email saying that they still think options are available and that they will send me the Simon XT (which, again, is the baseline product model that I never signed up for) or a new Hub (which, I'll pass on after my experience so far).

Alternatively I can either (1) pay out my contract and cancel or (2) transfer the contract to some other poor sucker who wants to deal with this nonsense. I've already spent $400 in equipment and monthly charges for a system that hasn't worked since November, so the idea of paying anything else is sickening. I will also note that I have direct email addresses for 4 Frontpoint employees, including two supervisors, and none of them respond to my repeated emails. I called back again today and was told that they would put in another request for someone to email me back. Apparently customer service is so unimportant to Frontpoint that they can't even be bothered to email, let alone actually calling to address the concerns in real time.

So after 8 months of having this service, my home is not protected (because how can you trust a system that doesn't detect doors opening and closing 30% of the time) and given the interactions that I have had with customer service I have no confidence that I can rely on the company in general. And the resolution is to either take an inferior product that I never signed up for at the beginning or to take a new, buggy product that doesn't have any of the functionality I was expecting when I requested a touch screen monitor right upfront. I feel like this has been a bait and switch. I am very disappointed and, while I never write reviews of services, I felt that it was necessary to put this out there in the hopes of saving someone else the hassle. As I said upfront, I did a lot of research and it still didn't prevent me from choosing this company so I am hopeful my experience can help others.

The way that Frontpoint is handling their clients was the main reason I called up and talked to them. We talked about pricing. I was interested in them being on top of the new technology that's out there and their easy installation without really going through a lot of headache of making adjustments. Their customer service was excellent and the reps were courteous. Whenever I called, they picked it up immediately. They went through the process and helped me out. They were very clear as far as what they were talking about and things got done fast.

The installation of the system was as easy as one, two, three. It was really just knowing where I wanted to put their system. As far as the place, it was just putting a sticky in the back of the device and sticking it against the wall. There are no wires. The main panel was the same way. I plugged it in, and everything worked. I had to customize my package. I told Frontpoint what I needed because I already had a security system and I just wanted to revise it. I took my ADT system out. I knew exactly where I wanted the sensors to be and how many sensors I needed.

With Frontpoint, they give the remote access ability which is a great thing. This morning, I forgot to put the alarms on. As soon as I got in my car, I put it back on. I know other people offered that too, but we had a lot of interruption before. This one with Frontpoint is a satellite connection so I never have any problems. I've had their system for the past seven months and so far, it has been great. Also, the smartphone features are very easy to access. I have recommended Frontpoint to a couple of people.

My brother-in-law is very much aware of Frontpoint and recommended that I get a security system. We didn’t have one at the time so we got it. I had interacted with part of the sales team when we got the equipment and the rep was very good and helpful. He was very patient with my questions. My brother-in-law made the connection as well as did the installation. The system is easy to work with. My daughter moved in with me and both of us have the app on our phones. When we leave the house, we arm it from the app on our phone and we disarm it before we come home. I'm satisfied with my experience with Frontpoint. We sleep better at night knowing that we have that added security.

Our vacation home in northern Michigan is out of the middle of nowhere and I'm up there alone a lot. My husband said that I gotta have a security system so I bought one from Frontpoint because it was easy to install. I even installed it myself. During the installation, I had trouble with one door. I could not get it to work. And when my husband was up there, he figured out a better placement of it, which made it work. I was online with a technician for about an hour while I was setting it up, and he was very helpful. So far, the system is easy to use. We don't have any problems. I can check it from my iPad because I have downloaded the app. I can also check it on the key fob.

Getting set up with Frontpoint was really easy. The guy was really polite. He listened to what my needs were and got me set up with the package that made sense. It was a la carte so I got what I needed and they seemed to have everything everybody else does – your standard stuff up through cameras or the doorbell cam if you need those. I wish I didn't have to do the installation myself though. It wasn't difficult. You just stick the things on. But you have to do everything yourself. It was tedious and time-consuming. Someone else could have come in and done it a lot quicker. But then again, I didn't have to pay an installation fee. That aside, the cost seems in line with everybody else. The saving was really just in the equipment in the end.

On the other hand, I’m not really a big fan of the actual wall mount. It's kinda difficult to use. One thing is that there aren't clear instructions on how to use it. It took me a long time to figure out just how to to turn the time down. It's all push button too. It's not digital. The display is digital but it's a little outdated. It was the cellular network that I found very appealing. It's another layer of protection. That was a big selling point for me, along with the app. Everyone has an app now. But I really like Frontpoint’s. It’s very nice. There are still some things that they can add to it, like emergency buttons. You have your emergency feature on the keypad but of course, the keypad is in one room. It would be nice to have an emergency feature in your phone, on the app. But I like the ease of use. Even my kids can use it. There are colors, pictures and shapes. It's very clear what the buttons do. I feel like I can give it to my grandma and she can figure out how to use it.

Frontpoint has better reviews online, so I wound up with them. They are also more convenient. Prior to them, I had Xfinity. I switched my cable service, and keeping the security system alone was gonna be expensive without the other things, so I had to find another security system. The installation was okay. I had to pay attention a little bit as it was not super easy, but it was workable. I did it in bits and pieces, for maybe an hour. The system is a little better and more sophisticated. The reps I dealt with were also okay. We still need to apply for the permit, but everything is good.

I was new to the house and needed a security system. I got tired of the old wired ADT system that I used to have and so I wanted to try something new. The Frontpoint system was easy to set up. They send you the equipment and you just stick it on and go. So, the installation was very simple and I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for someone to come out and do it for me. I just had to buy the equipment upfront, so there was that cost.

While the system has worked well, one negative is that all the sensors run off batteries and eventually those batteries drain. When that happens, it can set off the alarm. Also, the garage sensor came unstuck one time, fell on the floor, and set the alarm off. But those things are easily remedied. Other than that, everything about the user-interface has been easy to use and the customer service has been good too. When the alarm went off a couple of times, the Frontpoint team was right on it, calling up and sending out the police when I didn’t have the right password.

Recently, I opened a new shop and had the newer Frontpoint system put up. There seems to be a big difference between the Frontpoint system in the house and the one in the shop. The newer system has more functionality and a lot of it is configurable. From my application, its features are good. I keep the smart features simple, so my wife and I are on the same page most of the time, and the functions that I’ve been using are all intuitive. But I have to call the reps to do certain things now with my newer system that they didn’t have to do on the older system. It's fine and not that big of a deal, though, as long as these can get done. When I had a lot of questions about the newer system, the reps were always very good about answering them all for me.

Someone had broken in and stole some stuff. I’ve had a security system in the past, but I wanted something that has more cameras and stuff. I really like our Frontpoint security system. But when I was installing the window monitors, part of the setup is you have to open and close the window, and those windows don’t open. So, they did not get turned on, so I’m not getting full benefit of them. I spoke with somebody about it, and they said, “Well, that’s just the way it is.” And they didn’t really help me much with that.

Frontpoint's representatives were willing to help me and they tried to kinda walk me through, but they didn’t understand what I was trying to tell them. They said, “You have this and this and this turned on,” and I said, “Yes, I didn't understand that.” But the ones on the windows are not on. And some of those ones in the windows are protecting an entire room. Also, on my end, I could’ve tried to explain something to them more about what I was needing, but I was pressed for time as well at the time.

Other than that, our system's features are great. I accidentally set it off this last summer when I forgot and went in through the back door to get something. And my monitor was in the front room. The room’s kind of isolated because I have a lot of stuff stored in there. I’m doing remodeling in there, so it took me a while to get there. So, the police showed up. It worked out.

We have just opened up our business and we wanted a security system right before we moved in. The Frontpoint rep that I spoke with was pretty informative. He ran me through the differences among SimpliSafe, ADT, Brinks, and Frontpoint. He also pointed out that the Frontpoint control panel has a thing on its own, so if someone comes in and smashes the control panel, it will still send a signal out compared to the other places that don’t. It was one of the key features that caught my attention.

I did the installation and it was really easy, although I had some trouble syncing the door things. I called the number and they were able to sync it for me. The app feature is probably the best feature of it because we don’t touch the control panel very often. It’s pretty cut and shoot, and it’s really straightforward. The Frontpoint system has everything I really need. We have an intensive security system, so having a monitor alarm is exactly what we needed. The cost of the Frontpoint system is also pretty fair. We have really big front windows and it’s sensitive. We’ve had a few birds fly straight into the window and the system sends us a monitored alert, so we are satisfied with how sensitive it is. I’ve also gotten great customer service out of Frontpoint. When I wasn’t looking for something, they’d reach out to me.

The security system I previously had was built in to the house, and a lot of the sensors had gone bad. I wanted to move to a wireless system. I read a lot of online reviews of different companies, and Frontpoint's customer service was the highest rated. I did the installation of the system myself through their interactions and it was very easy to do. I just stick some things on my doors and corners of the house. The first receiver box they sent was faulty, so they had to send it back, but they handled that well. Whenever I had an issue I like how quickly their customer service reps respond and they’ve done a nice job. The quality of the equipment and the instructions, and getting the system all set up were great, and the features offered in my system were working great too.

The smartphone features has been working fine. The features are very easy to understand. But I wish putting something on my front door so that I can see someone coming in was more standard. I've been going around to buy that elsewhere. Other than that, I've been happy with the cost versus quality. The big question is if I wanna pay a large upfront fee to own a nice system myself or I wanna pay the monthly. I'd rather pay the monthly with Frontpoint that’s why I chose them instead of SimpliSafe.

Frontpoint had a high rating so I got them as my security provider and it has all been really good. They were very efficient, informative, and helpful when I was setting the system up. They simply picked me through it. The only problem I had was when I had to configure it to work on my Wi-Fi. That was a little bit more of a struggle. When the instruction said, "Connect to the Wi-Fi," it didn't really say you had to connect to the Wi-Fi. But the tech support was able to help me.

The smart phone features is easy to use. The only thing that I probably would've wish they had an option for is I pay for monitored service, and I don't think I'll ever arm my alarm. It's not what I wanted. So I pay for a service that I don't use. I asked them about that but it didn't seem like that was an option. It's like it's the only cheapest package I could get.

I did some research and I looked at all the other options. Frontpoint provides a lot more equipment upfront at a much lower cost. The start-up cost is minimal and the monthly payments are pretty equitable across the board. Their technology is very good too. They made a convincing point that their system cannot be deactivated versus the competition. If you're paying this kind of money, you want a system that is fool-proof, that cannot be deactivated even if power goes out or if it is tampered with.

Frontpoint's sales team is very involved, and if and when you get their support service people on the phone, they're extremely helpful. The difficult part is that the customer service they provide in terms of hours of service is somewhat limited, and it's somewhat difficult to get someone on the line. They should really consider providing 24/7 technical support, but instead it's cut off after 10 PM or 11 PM Eastern, which is less than ideal. That's the only drawback and something that I would improve.

The installation went okay, but there should be more work involved on behalf of Frontpoint to better understand the constraints of a home and provide the right type or set of equipment the first time and get it right the first time. For example, I have the main house and then there's an in-law suite that’s about 10 feet away from the house, but it's under the lanai. A lanai or protected patio is like a framed netting that goes around the outdoor part of the house, and there's a distance from that suite that I'm trying to protect to the main panel. I explained that in the beginning but still, what they sent me was not the right type of sensor. I tried that sensor to see if it would work and when it didn’t, I had to send it back and I got charged for it, and then I had to wait for the refund. That was really annoying. Getting the right sensor took a number of trials and it became a hassle.

They should also have the ability or the option to say that if it doesn't work the first time, maybe they should try to cure it with some troubleshooting. They should probably say that they will send the technician, which is similar to what other service providers do. The features offered in the system are great but Frontpoint needs to work on making sure that what you can do on the website, can also be done on the app. Although as a whole, the app is fine, it needs to be empowered a bit more. The video limit on the camera and the doorbell is a pain. If you set it to a bit too sensitive, they could set off very quickly. Then you're gonna get the notices that you're at a max video capacity and you have to go back and delete all these videos. Maybe Frontpoint could do something to either increase video capacity or change the technology.

We have set off the alarm a couple of times and I knew about it because I receive the phone call. The only issue we have is that using the app, it wouldn't communicate with the system, like I wouldn't arm. That was a strange issue and it happened for a bit of time. They sent me another chip or another card to put into the panel, but the issue just went away in itself although I don't think I changed anything. There are minor hiccups that one can live with and Frontpoint still has got some work to do, but they're definitely a good provider.

We shopped around with different companies and Frontpoint was very well rated online from consumer websites. I like that the Frontpoint system is based on a cellular connection, so it's very hard to break in to and cut off the power supply of the system. My customer service experience was really good. I called a couple times to get some information and the people there were very polite and responsive.

The rep told me that we could try their system in our home for a certain period of time, risk-free. It was nice to be able to have that time period. The rep also talked about the layout of the house, the windows, the doors, the point of entry, and then we came up with a good package to start with. I called a few weeks after and got a few more sensors that might add some more security to the different points of entries. They were able to provide those at no cost. It was part of the start-up plan. They sent us the structure of the house, and I was able to get the system all up and running. I called back their customer service to ask the rep a question about how to change a sensor or where to move it. I also asked a couple of other questions during the installation and they were able to help me out. My experience with that was fine. I consider myself to be a handy guy. It would be easy for anyone to set the system up.

Everything with the equipment is well-made. At one point, my wife shut the sliding door too hard and one of the sticky sensors fell. I just pressed the sensor back there, and it hasn't come back off since. There were a couple of times where I tried to test the system in terms of opening the door to see if the alarm would go off on the phone using the app and it has all been straightforward and good.

When I called Frontpoint about this they told me to take a few months of free service while I try to "sort this out with my town." I asked the town clerk again, and she told me they do not have the resources to handle a security system like Frontpoint. We have a volunteer fire and ambulance service and no local sheriff. The state responds to emergencies and they do not allow residents of our town special permits for this kind of security service.

I called Frontpoint again to try and return the equipment. They told me essentially that I am under some contract and have to keep the service. I told them my town doesn't actually allow me to have it. Frontpoint then told me if I try and get out of this contract then I have to pay them over $800. I feel like I've been robbed and threatened by a security business. I still haven't received any reply from their customer service department regarding how to return the equipment they sent me. I went with Frontpoint and the sales was great. They explained everything to me. And every time I've called their customer service with a question, they’ve been right up front and cleared it up. Setting up the system was very easy. I was able to customize it because I wanted motion glass break and I have the smoke CO2 detector. I also have the video cameras that I really like, plus all the appropriate sensors, and they told me how many I needed and where to put them. There wasn’t an issue of overbuying or under-buying.

The quality of the system is good. My video system works very well. I've only set the alarm off once and it's loud. I also like the idea that I can give different people codes if someone wants to get in around at my house. Also, I am able to use the smartphone features and it's easy. I just open it up and there it is. Sometimes I have a little delay in my video but that could be with the internet where I live.

Since having the Frontpoint system, I feel better knowing that if I'm asleep, I'm gonna know if the door opens. I have one issue but it's not their fault. It's just the location of a building I'm monitoring. The alarm goes off and online. It could be due to the snow, which I am sure is covering it up. But the alarm is reliable, easy, not cumbersome and it has a long enough cord. I move it into my hallway if I leave town so that if someone comes in, it's right there under a line. Otherwise, I'm moving it around the corner and into the kitchen, out of the way.

I asked them if they had something like an extra speaker that we can add to the upstairs or the basement but they said no. And that was faulty. That's something very big because let's say somebody had broken into my house, by the time I realize that somebody was in the house, it would have been two or three minutes afterward. We used to live in a condo, so it was safe enough, and then when we moved to this new house, we decided that we needed to make it more safe for the kids, so we decided to look into home security systems. I read a few reviews about Frontpoint from other people who were happy and I liked the fact they are always connected. We can always reach the place and even if there's a power outage, it's somewhat connected or if someone gets in and he tries to take something out, the call will still go through. Those were some of the things that made me decide that it was good and it was the right decision to do.

I went to the website and I put my email address in there. Then, I received a phone call from one of the representatives. He told me how to go from there and that he would send me the package with all the sensors. He asked me a whole bunch of questions on how many windows and how many doors and how many levels. From there, we decided how many sensors and other things that we needed for the house and we finished through. It was a great experience. We did the installation ourselves and it went well. It was pretty straightforward and pretty easy to follow through. My husband took care of it and he followed through on the app which tells when to do what and how to proceed.

Also, I generally feel pretty safe with the features. We have three floors and we have two young children and I like the idea that every time our door opens, there is a beeping sound. So, I'm always alert on whether someone opens or closes the door. I really appreciate that. It's for peace of mind. And with the smartphone features, in case I forget to set the alarm on when I leave the house, I can arm it from outside or wherever I am and I can also disarm it before I actually get inside the house. That is pretty cool. And we are around $40 or something a month and it's pretty fair. The level of security is pretty good, so I feel safe. I'm still happy with the choice I made and I don’t see this changing any time soon. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint.

The Frontpoint reps were good people. They seemed helpful, and they tried as much as they could to get my business. Installing the system was very easy, but I had trouble. The unit wasn’t working properly, so I had to call in. But the installation was fine. We use the app a lot and we use it to turn on the alarm. The quality of Frontpoint's system is okay but it could be better. Also, they might wanna add a front doorbell camera.

We were looking to lower our expenses. We jumped into Frontpoint because it was offered to us as a bundle with some other things in the contract. We signed up, but we thought that there were some other ones that we might want to look into. We liked the portability of Frontpoint. We could pick it up and take it to another house. We're in our second home and we wanted to have a little bit of peace of mind. Recently, there had been some break-ins on the street. With our security system, we are at least a step ahead of that.

Frontpoint called me several times to check on our system because we didn’t get it installed right away. They were very nice about checking with us periodically to make sure it wasn't the system being too hard to set-up. The quality of the equipment is very good. We got the camera just hooked up the other day. We were very surprised by the clarity of that. Also, Frontpoint was very easy to get ahold of and was very helpful. We ordered the wrong camera and their rep got us the right one.

But it might be nice to have the option to have the system installed ourselves or have a technician do it if we wanted to. We liked the fact that we could do the installation, but we didn’t realize how challenging it was gonna be. I had to wait for my husband and he wasn’t quite sure how to do a couple of things. He then had to wait for his brother. Other than that, we are very happy with Frontpoint and I would definitely do it again over AT&T.

I ended up with Frontpoint and it was great with their sales rep because of the friendliness and the information they provided. Then, the installation was easy. The instructions were convenient and I could go on the internet and all that. But the smartphone feature doesn’t seem to record actions or keep record of the camera. It seems like it only responds to what’s happening now. And I would like to have a recording. It would be nice if I have a recorded feature so I can look back on whatever happens in my house. Other than that, the cost is competitive to whatever I had before.

For more security, protection while we sleep, and protection for our belongings while we’re at work, we decided to purchase a home security system. My wife researched and Frontpoint seemed to have the best reviews. So, we went with them. The installation of the system was easy. I like that I didn’t have to drill into anything. I just set up the tabs and made sure to program the box. But I needed the instructions because we’ve never done anything like this, so I wasn’t sure exactly what steps to take. And the instructions were helpful.

I like the quality of the features that we have in our home. When the system was brand new, we weren't sure how to use it and thought the alarm was going off. But the lady from Frontpoint who I spoke to about it was incredibly nice and courteous. Also, we didn’t test the glass breaking capabilities, but it seemed to work. It went off the other day when I let the dog out because I forgot it was on. But I quickly disarmed it and everything seemed to be fine. Since having Frontpoint, my wife sleeps better and feels more secure. Everything seems to be working so far. My company is probably gonna be moving me to the East Coast this year and we were talking about transferring our Frontpoint to that house.

But he missed when he said it would take an hour. I’m not really techy so it took me two and a half hours and two calls to their tech support, but I got it done. I had a friend who was using Frontpoint and he was happy with the setup process where he just did it himself. He didn’t have to pay somebody to do it. Also, all his equipment was free and the monthly fee was well, so that was enough to sell me. He showed me the app and stuff, gave me his referral code and I went from there. When I called in, I spoke to someone and he assessed my specific situation. I wasn’t looking for a security system until I had some suspicious behavior outside of my home. He was able to get me a few pieces of free equipment that otherwise, I would’ve paid for since I brought that up. He was helpful in trying to get me the best deal I could possibly get on my equipment and the lowest rate. So, I was really pleased with working with him in the set up.

The door and window alarms were incredibly easy to set up and then, it took me a couple of months to get my cameras set up because I didn’t feel like doing it. However, once I got into it, the set up was simple. I had to call in for support because I was having issues getting the camera connected to Wi-Fi but that was more user error than anything. So far, I’m happy with the system and I don’t have any complaints. We prefer using the manual arm and disarm, rather than setting a schedule or using geosensing because I’ve had problems with it on a couple of apps. I don’t trust my GPS so, we like that. Now that we have gotten used to it, it’s simple for us and that we can do everything remotely if we need to is great as well.

After I bought my home, I had two separate companies come and harass me trying to get me to buy security systems. So, I was hesitant to even look into it and put it off after buying my home last January. The drill is, they would show up and show you how much crime is in your neighborhood. Then, they would try to get in your house to look at everything. I didn’t know who they were so I didn’t trust them. I decided I wasn’t gonna do it but the experience with Frontpoint changed my mind. It was a totally different business model that was geared more towards the consumer and not trying to strong arm people into dealing with more than they need to.

I searched the best ones and I found an article that listed Frontpoint and its amenities that other alarm systems offer, but Frontpoint's was all-inclusive. The rep from Frontpoint was very pleasant and informative. He made it very clear that they don't get commissions, and he just wanted to answer all of the questions I had so I was inclined to purchase from him. In terms of the installation, it wasn't that difficult. The instructions were very clear. I called tech support for assistance at one point, but I was on the phone for no more than 10 minutes.

I like the smart features of our service package. They're very convenient and I can do everything from my phone. The overall functionality and performance of the system are good. However, the glass breakers go off even if it was not glass being broken. There are other things that set off that alarm and I thought it was specifically glass breaking. I had received a lot of shipment for the holidays and I was breaking down the boxes that they came in. I was punching the box, opening it and ripping the tape, and it kept setting off the alarm. It did three times in one five-minute session. Other than that, Frontpoint is the best.

I have to work sometimes 24 hours at a time and I wanted my wife to feel comfortable in the house when I’m not there. So I decided to get home security. I looked at a lot of reviews online and got a quote from Vivint. It was really expensive. The rep kept kind of upgrading me on all sorts of features that he thought we would need. And then I had a call with Frontpoint, and the sales rep was like, “You know what? You really don’t need that. You really only need to do the first floor.” He was very straightforward with me and I appreciated that.

I liked that with Frontpoint you could just purchase the equipment up front and that it was pretty interchangeable with other companies. So, if down the road we decided not to stick with Frontpoint, we could use the same equipment on someone else. The only thing that was a problem for me is I was thinking of buying cameras and it concerns me that the data gets stored on the Frontpoint servers. Even though it’s encrypted or protected it’s still accessible to people like if somebody were to hack in or view it.

The system is self-install. At first, I wasn’t really all that excited about self-install, but it did save a little bit of money. I did the installation through my phone app so the drawings don’t really apply sometimes to the kinds of doors and doorframes that we have and stuff like that. It wasn’t terrible, but it was kinda tedious. It probably took me a couple of hours. But so far, everything has been great. We like the app. It’s pretty easy to use. We can very easily turn it on and off the system from there, or if like an alarm goes off and we wanna look at something, we can just scroll back through the history. My wife’s pretty happy. We like that when the door opens, we know somebody’s here because of the chime, when we wouldn’t have otherwise heard them. I have toddlers and if a door opens somewhere, they’ll ask, “Is daddy home?” or, “Is mommy home?”

It got the lowest price and so people fall in now. They also said that those things were to give a compliment to the following two months.

They don’t put that stuff anywhere on the website anymore and they didn't even explain that. Instead, they're sending a whole bunch of document. God knows what the hell they point on that agreement on it. In fact, the document seems more like an apartment lease. It was an alarm agreement that is eight pages long. They also pushed me to do the cellphone sign up right away. When I asked to talk to the manager, the rep said, "I'm the last person you can talk to." Other than that, if they're getting our cell, the same way it took my name, number, address, and Social Security, this company should also provide us their federal tax ID number so we can go to the courts and put it up whatever we like it on their business credit profile number. My wife and I were expecting and I felt more obligated having a security system in the house. In addition, it has been on our list of things to do. Through an internet search, I compared different options out there and I liked Frontpoint more since I like being able to set it up ourselves and not have a company come out and install everything. The reps I worked with were knowledgeable and helpful. The first time I talked to them on the phone, I could tailor what I needed. Also, I could help steer the ship in terms of what my package would look like depending on how many door and motion sensors I might need. My minor complaint though is that they did a hard sales pitch to make the commitment. In addition, the initial pricing was so high and so we decided later.

Nevertheless, getting it all set up was a good experience. The thing worked well and there were a couple instances we had to call techs and have them verify if our motion sensors were working or getting tripped off by a dog. We have a dog that was right on the 40 to 45-pound threshold for setting off the motion sensors, and the people we talked to were helpful and we did a couple of tests in the different rooms. Overall the Frontpoint system works well for modern family needs as opposed to having to call and have somebody come out. I recommend it.

Then, we started looking and realizing that no one had really reached out to us to say that they have a new technology or discuss upgrades since I've been a member for so long. So, we started doing some research and found the current system and really kind of liked their spiel. With Frontpoint, I really liked the system and the protection they offered. The price was good, but they don’t advertise and I thought that was a really, really awesome thing because they're incredibly highly rated. There's a ton of reviews online, but you never see a commercial and that says a lot about a company.

I filled out a thing online of, "I'm interested, give me a call," and within the hour, I was talking to somebody. I worked with the same guy the whole way through and it was very, very easy. It wasn’t pressured. Then, with the installation, everything was labeled and we just stuck it on the wall and it was good to go. The instructions were very comprehensive and super easy to follow. I think my grandmother could've followed it.

The features are pretty consistent with anything else I've seen. We could have gone higher tech, but I don’t really think that we need it. We just need a general coverage and it has been really, really great. We have a little key fob that unlocks the house from outside which is awesome. It was a breeze to switch to Frontpoint and it feels very secure. I have recommended them many times.

They used to have the little LCD touchpad you could order or get upgraded. It's different from the regular one. They didn’t have it anymore and they still haven’t come up with that upgraded keypad. They told me that they would let me know when they get one, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Also, they said you could add smart stuff to the system but it doesn’t seem to be very easy to do it yourself like their syncing control lights. It’s not obvious how to do it unless you call Frontpoint. My expectation was I would be good to go on some kind of an app. I have my Frontpoint hub and if I want to add my lights to it, I can just do it. We moved, it was new construction, and we travel sometimes, so we wanted a security system. I did some research online and went with Frontpoint because of the cost and the ability that if I wanted to switch monitoring companies, I could switch using their equipment. I had a great call with the salesperson. We talked about a lower cost system from a competitor and he told me the pros and cons. I don’t think he was pushy, but he helped me make a decision by showing me his system was probably more superior. He gave me more features and then I agreed over the phone to purchase the system. The cost of the system was reasonable. Included in the evaluation is monitoring the monthly monitoring which has sorta been arranged of what everyone was charging, which is about $45 a month.

The installation was very easy and the instructions were very good. It took about 15 or 20 minutes to set up and the packaging was very unique. When you unpackage everything, it sort of guides you as to what you’re doing and what the pieces you’re looking at and everything is sorta peel and stick. And the system has great features. It looks like everything is working well and meets my expectations. The only thing is there is a door alarm that announces when the door is open and closed. The app has a feature to silence that alarm and that didn’t work. When I called up Frontpoint, they said their app isn’t developed far enough for that feature to be turned on and off from the app and that they would do it for us remotely. That never happened either. So, when the door opens or closes, it’s a very loud announcement and there’s no way of muffling that or make that quieter. But the smartphone features are great. I could monitor people coming in and out of my house and if the door is left open, we get an alert. We haven’t had any false alarms and everything is good.

On December 3, 2018 Frontpoint withdrew the monthly payment from my checking account 3 times. They communicated there was an error and they are working to rectify. It is now January 19, 2019, more than 30 days later, and I have been charged a January fee AND they still have failed to rectify their overbilling in December. I am rather disappointed in their lack of communication as I have now messaged them again twice with no response. I would generally be pleased with their service except for this failure to rectify their error, hold onto funds that are not in compliance with contractual arrangements, and failing to provide communication on when they expect to return unauthorized funds.

We were replacing an existing home security system and we switched to Frontpoint because of the price. We've had the system for six months now and our experience with the company has been lousy. Originally, there was no mention of I was gonna have to pay for the app. I was given a monthly rate and to my understanding, it included the app. And basically, you pay for everything with them. They nickel and dime you to death. The first rep I interacted with was a super nice guy, but he was a complete liar. He should have been upfront that the app was an additional charge. There's no mention of it anywhere on their website that I could find. And when you call them, they do not say anything about that being extra and if you pay for the app, it doesn’t make it very cost-efficient at all. Also, we live in a 100 plus year-old house. The doors aren’t exactly perfectly square and I had to go buy a different adhesive for the doors during installation.

I’ve contacted them on several occasions and they have told me that they would have somebody get back to me. That was another thing that really aggravated me. They said that you would have 24/7 access to someone. But if you call the 800 number, you get an answering service that knows nothing about their system. And then, you leave a message or you email the company but they never responded to the last email I sent them. It was a system question. As soon as my contract is up with them, I will be switching.

My children are getting older and I worry about them sneaking out of the house. I'm trying to make sure it's safe and felt I needed to get a home security system. I installed the Frontpoint system myself and hooking up the door monitor is simple. But I'm not very good with electric so the doorbell cam hasn't been working and their wireless camera for the dock of the house is sitting in the closet. I was unable to hook it up and the directions don't help. The wireless camera that they gave me for the dock of the house has five wires attached to it so I don't see how that's a wireless camera.

I told Frontpoint's reps about my concerns and they told me there was nothing I could do. I need to call an electrician. I thought they'd have someone if there was a CI before it was set, but they don't even have anybody who did that. I have to call an electrician to come and hook that up. Other than that, Frontpoint's system and the door monitors are fine, and I have been able to access it from my telephone. But if I could get the doorbell camera work, then I'd be ecstatic with it.

We lived in Baltimore city for a while, so we needed a security system there. My wife liked the peace of mind, and the door monitors were a benefit -- we have four small kids. Vector wound up buying the company that we were with before. Vector's customer service was bad. When we moved, we called multiple times to try transfer our service and they never answered the phone. They never called back. Then, they finally called back four months later and they were like, “Well, you’re still in your contract.”

We moved into the house and Frontpoint was what the previous owner had, so we went with them. Some of the equipment was already set up here, like a couple of the glass break sensors and a motion detector. They gave us an updated box and they gave us one updated motion detector. The only things we added were the smoke detectors. The customer service representatives who actually helped us with that process have been pleasant. The customer service was always friendly, polite, and they were available. You can set it up yourself. They have the tutorials on there. It’s all set up pretty easily. But they walked us through the setup. They tested all the products to make sure they were all good.

With Frontpoint, I have had a good experience with them. The only problem that I have with it is that it’s reliant on my internet. So, I have a basement monitor. My Wi-Fi doesn't stretch that far, so it doesn't work. Other than that, they’ve been very pleasant, even to the point where once I got everything set up, I called them because the other company finally called me, and they were willing to discount my rate to offset what I had to pay the other company to cancel.

I used to have Vivint then I moved and I looked for a new system. I wanted to give somebody opportunity so I googled the best alarms system and Frontpoint came up as number one. I called them and a couple other people, and Frontpoint was the most helpful and had the best price. When I spoke to their rep, I was asked what price range I was looking at and I was given a price actually better than that one. I told him I appreciated everything and that I was gonna shop around and I would call him back. They gave me a couple of days and they also didn’t hassle or bug me. They just seemed confident that their product was better than everybody else's.

Then, the installation process was simple and I was surprised. I needed a safety package so I got a couple of motion sensors to cover my outside shed and doors and window breaks. It does everything I need it to do and I feel safe with it. I control it from the app on my phone where it's the only way I arm it and disarm it most of the time. When I leave my house, I arm it after I walk out. I'm impressed with the cost for the quality of the system and so I would recommend it to anyone. I would definitely tell my friends to call Frontpoint first and try them out.

The only thing that I had an issue with and I felt a little cheated about was the five-year commitment that I wasn’t really made aware of. I tried to change it a couple of years later to my cable company. They were having a promotion on alarm security so I thought I would cancel my Frontpoint account. But when I called, Frontpoint said I have a five-year contract with them and they wouldn't let me cancel it for free. It wasn’t explained to me that it's a very large agreement. I've never heard of a five-year contract with anything either. I thought that was a little expensive. I asked if I could get out of it but they basically said that there is no way. I asked what if I was going and they said they would take it over to the new residence. They just wouldn't let me out of it in any way. I also had one issue with the control at one point but they were very responsive to fix that.

We had a fire at our business and we had the whole thing on video. We saw how quickly the place was filled with smoke and I've got kids on different levels at home, so I thought that by the time our smoke detectors went off, I wouldn't have time to get them out of the house because I was at the bottom and they're on top. So I was researching and I purchased a different security system. Then Frontpoint's guy called me back and after I got done talking with him, I boxed it all to send it back and purchased the Frontpoint system.

I like the monitoring that Frontpoint does for 24 hours and the monthly fee is fair for what they are doing. I also like the effectiveness of their system and how quickly they call or send someone when something happens. We live out in the country and we've had our house burglarized before. I'm there a lot with the kids while my husband is traveling with the military, so the system helps me to feel a lot more secure as well. I put the equipment up by myself and that was me alone in the house with two four year olds and a 10-year-old. Aside from that, Frontpoint's reps were great and wonderful. Every one I talked to has been very informative and very helpful.

When I finally talked to my mom into putting the system here at our business about a year after our fire, she allowed me to do so. But when I was trying to put the two systems together on my phone where I could use them both, I was having trouble. I called in and the guy I talked to was very patient with somebody who doesn’t know anything about that kind of stuff. I'm not technical but he talked me through it completely without any trouble whatsoever. Now I'm able to go to my cell phone and turn the alarm off here if I need to.

I love that it sends a reminder if I haven't set the alarm at home because when you're running out the door, you don’t always remember. But one thing the first sales guy said to me that has stuck in my mind is it doesn’t matter what kind of security system you have, but if you don’t set it, it's no good to anybody. And that has always rang in my head because I'd leave the house with a bunch of kids running crazy and I do forget to set it.

One time, we were robbed while my son was in the house. I had my phone set at that time where it would ding every time my door would open at home but when he left the house, my phone didn’t ding. So when it did, I just assumed it was him going back to the house. It turned out that somebody had come in the house. So the next day, I knew my son wasn’t there and I just set the alarm when I left. The guy didn’t know we had a security system because it didn’t go off the day before, so he came back for more that day. But we caught him and the police said they wanted to know who I was using for my security because when I told them how many minutes had passed, they said it was the quickest and most efficient one they had ever gotten. So that was really exciting.

We also had an alarm go off in the middle of the night and my husband happened to be home that weekend. I had the smoke and the heat detector and Frontpoint called. I told them we haven't seen anything and they said we needed to look. So we spent an hour and a half sniffing and looking, and we saw smoke. I spent so much time to find out where this was coming from and I almost got frustrated because I didn’t know where it was. In the end, it was coming from the kitchen where there was the ballast in the light fixture. But that detector is so sensitive that it picked it up that much to where we didn’t even see where the smoke was coming from. When the fire marshal was here, he said that smoke detectors don’t go off in your home until it's too late for you to do anything, even to get yourself or your children out. And my smoke detectors never went off at my house, just my sensors.

Here at my work, we had somebody film an immediate video upstairs and they were using a smoke machine. But after about three hours, it never set off the smoke detector. So I didn’t disarm it through Frontpoint. But eventually, the smoke set the alarm off and I didn’t know if it was the heat because it has a heat sensor. But by the time I walked down the stairs from upstairs to go out the front door to try to call and cancel it, the fire department was at my front door. That was around 40 seconds and it was great. Overall, I love everything about Frontpoint and I tell everybody about them. I've even gotten several people to sign up. I told them a little bit about everything that has happened to me and how much the system saved me.

We did some comparisons of home security companies and Frontpoint had a good offer and their online ratings looked good as well. My interaction with their rep was really good. He was friendly and helpful. The system was installed easily. One of the items had missing screws and they replaced it right away. The installations on the doorways went really well. The notifications are good. One of the system is for the area alarm. However, we have a cat who gets up on the back of the chair and gets in the beam so she sets off the alarm all the time. But that’s something we need to adjust.

The cost was good. The quality is good too but the rep said we needed more door and window sensors than he said we needed because for a couple of rooms, he had us do motion instead of on the windows. But if you’re at home and set the alarm, that motion sensor doesn’t work. It only works if you’re away and the motion sensor is the one that the cat keeps setting off. We arm and disarm the alarm all the time from the smartphone. The other day, we set the alarm on away when we were upstairs at night and forgot it was on. So when we came down, the alarm went off which was also a good test because it works. Frontpoint is good and I would recommend them. For those looking at systems, I would tell them to check out Frontpoint. It might be worth their while.

I was talking to Frontpoint's reps about their system and I liked what they had. I also liked how their system was set up. I wanted a garage door sensor and they had that. Also, not all the companies were openly mentioning that they had that sensor. Furthermore, their system was a self-install type which was interesting and had cellular access so I didn't have to have the security equipment hardwired.

I had to call a couple of times when putting their system in because they had upgraded some of their sensors and their installation instructions didn't follow what the devices were. Still, that was very simple and the newer devices were better. The instructions for the motion detectors said that I had to have them down about 4 to 5 feet. But then, when I called because the ones I got were different, they said that the newer sensors can be up higher. That was much better and everything else fell into place. Thus far, it's been working well for us and I like the way I can manage it and set up who can get in. Though it was a bit of a learning curve, it was easy after we got the hang of it. Since getting the Frontpoint system, my wife and I have been feeling better about our security.

I feel comfortable having a security system at home, especially if we're away from the house, that it's being monitored at all times. I went with Frontpoint because of the affordability. In terms of out-of-pocket cost upfront, it was pretty cheap. In terms of ongoing monthly, it's in line with what I'd expect. The reps have also been easy to talk to. There was an upfront honesty in terms of what product I did or didn't need. Even though originally, I went in thinking I need the cameras, they said, "To be honest, it's not even something you really need. But if you want it, great." They weren't trying to oversell me on something.

For what I get for what I'm paying, Frontpoint provides quality service. For home security, it has given me everything I need. Another thing I thought was good was that it's not linked to the incoming phone service. It's linked to a cell service. It's not like someone could just cut the power from an outside to disable the security system. The app is also great. The only thing I've had recently was one of the cameras was working great and all of a sudden, I've gotten an error message for the last couple of days, so I have to figure out what's going on, like if that's an internet thing or if that's a Frontpoint thing. Other than that, my wife definitely feels more comfortable at home when I'm not there since we've had the system.

A big part of my decision going with Frontpoint is they provided their own online service. I live in rural Alberta so I am limited to internet connections. I’ve had ADT before and they weren’t able to provide me service due to slow internet. I also did some research online and it said that they’re one of the top-rated ones. I've dealt with Frontpoint people and my interaction with them has been positive. Every time I’ve had issues, I just call them and they’ve seemed quite friendly in helping me.

Installing Frontpoint's system was simple after they helped me with some issues that I had. When I had ADT, they came and did it all because it was a hardwired system at the time. It was weird not having any written information of how to use the system so that was a little different. No one told me that you could go on and look for the information.

When I first installed it, I didn’t even know how to set the alarm so I called them and they kinda gave me a quick run through. I knew the basics from having ADT but I didn’t know because they had said something about a trial period if it does set the alarm off, it won’t trigger the emergency responders at first. So I wasn’t sure exactly if I alarmed it. I was confused at first. Nevertheless, the actual system itself is pretty good. I don’t have any problems with it. I like the app feature that if I forget to set it, I could just quickly turn it on. I wasn’t sure I needed that at first, but I like that now because I don’t ever turn it on before I leave. The one thing that took a little more time was the panel, which we needed to put some anchors on our wall, but other than that, it was just peeling and sticking the various monitoring devices.

Frontpoint seems to be a good system. if someone’s trying to destroy our system, the message is already out that someone’s breaking in. All the windows now have alarms if someone tries to open them, so we feel a bit more secure. We're not just relying on the glass break monitors. We had several windows with ADT that didn’t have the alarm that when we open it, it detects someone’s breaking in. And that was not enough. Moreover, the price wasn't really out of the range of the other competitors, so I went with them. I went online and then I got a phone call. It was a very comfortable call to go over what my needs were, how many doors and the logistics of it. I made a deal on the phone, gave a credit card and then subsequently I received the hardware in the mail.

One Saturday my wife and I decided to set the system up. It was very self-explanatory. You open up the box and everything is easily labeled. As my wife read the directions, I installed the system. We had a little difficulty with the doorbell camera but we called a tech and she was very nice and talked us through it. The only issue I have is the adhesive for the motion sensors. Our walls are plaster and it falls off. I have to go out and buy different adhesives to get those to stay on the wall. I guess it's good for regular wallboard, but for plaster walls, it just doesn't stay.

We were considering other camera options. I don't really want cameras in the house but outside, and I want ones that are attached to motion sensor lights. I didn't see that when I went on the app and looked at other things. So I'm gonna see what's their best buy. But I'll probably call Frontpoint first just to see if they're compatible with the system. We're not there yet because it's a financial commitment. There's a cost to the cameras, so we're not ready. We use the system more for security when we're away for a weekend. Everybody is well spoken, and usually are very helpful. I haven't had any issues at all. Also, the installation was simple enough. There were a couple of technical glitches like pre-configured stuff but that was still taken care of on the phone with customer service right away.

One aspect that was a surprise to me is that the multiple tiers of Frontpoint's pricing model are pretty well documented but it was still not understood right from the beginning that their interactive plan was a trial. So basically upfront, you get a higher functionality and then after 30 days, it goes to a basic plan if you don't specifically sign up for it. And that aspect I must've dismissed on the initial sign up. I went with the basic for months but then I missed their interactive plan enough, and I just called back and I upgraded it. Also, the equipment works for the existing and everything works as is. All of the equipment is compatible because that was part of the trial.

I also would like there to be a much tighter integration between the web, like the browser version of the control of the units and the app. Because it seems that some of the panel settings are not equally adjusted on the web versus the mobile app. And there are differences in options. I have a three-year commitment now for what I thought was a different function plan. That seems like almost like a bit of a bait-and-switch because there's a little bit of information that was missing up front. Now, it makes me feel like the functionality that I really want for the next three years is at a higher price point than I envisioned before.

Before I knew that my initial trial was gonna expire, I recommended Frontpoint right away because it seemed like I'm getting the deal at a lower tier but that includes that the interactive plan was a very good value. However, now, that I've upgraded it to a middle tier, I don't think it's any better value than any other security system, and I have no way of knowing if they're any more effective than any of their competitors.

We went with them and their reps did well. Their product knowledge, as well as the cost of their system, was good. Thereafter, installing the system was easy. The instructions said to just go online and then it walked me through the app. We had it set up through our phones so we could turn it on and monitor our system and thus far, it’s doing really well. I like that the system is beeping whenever the door is open, so I know when the kids are trying to get out.

I got home security after somebody came into my home at night. I figured we needed an alarm system to prevent that from happening again. I then went with Frontpoint based on reviews about the quality of service and ease of installation. And now, I'm really happy to be a Frontpoint customer. Their equipment is great and customer service is top tier. Any time I've had problems, I've called and people have been very friendly and provided excellent service.

One of my best experience was during installation. I had a little problem then and people were very understanding of the issues I was having. The hours of service were also great because they're open after my work closes. And so when I would get home, it was pretty late and that was the only time I could really set up the system. If their customer service wasn’t available during those times or the weekend, it would have made installing the system impossible. That got me to the realization that this was the right company for me. Then one time, I opened the door but unfortunately somebody had set the deadbolt inside, then my wife had left through the back door. I couldn't get back inside the house. And so, I called the service to cancel the false alarm, and it was fine. The police were not sent out and I didn’t get charged for a false alarm, which was great.

I like to have a security system both for when I'm here and when I'm gone. I'm older and I usually live alone. I did some research online and saw good reviews of the company. The price was a little bit more than I wanted to pay monthly but because of the reviews, I felt it was a good deal. Plus the quality of the equipment is good. Cost versus quality is fair. My experience with their representatives was also excellent. He answered all of my questions and when I called back because I had a question on something, it was very promptly answered. So I'm very pleased with the customer service.

I picked the features then I got it all set up. I had to read the installation guide online a couple of times to completely understand it. It wasn't like first grade level but it was fine. Once I got over the fact that I had to install it, it was relatively easy. I've used the system and I'm pleased with it. Frontpoint's been very good for me. I would tell others to do a lot of research and find a system that works best for them. Don't always pay the lowest cost because you get what you pay for.

I was impressed when I called Frontpoint. Their reps got down to detail, asked me a lot of questions and helped me come up with a system that would work. It was a very positive interaction with them. The installation of their system was easy and good. The instructions were thorough, helpful and easy to follow.

It would be nice to be able to have sensors installed outside. But other than that, I like the different ways to set the alarm. I also like that the alarm, even if it's not going off, makes a little beep when I open doors. It is a little loud when it makes those beeps, and the setting of the system can be a little loud, but overall, I like it. The smartphone feature has been functioning greatly. I set the alarm when I leave my house through my smartphone, and I turn it off before I come inside. So I use those a lot. The cost of the Frontpoint system is a very good deal.

I live out in the middle of nowhere and I don’t have any neighbors to speak of. There’s a farmer down the road but he’s a half a mile down there. Also, I live by myself, so I thought I’d better get a security system to cover me when I’m gone. I called Frontpoint and they explained different things to me. They wanted to know how many doors I had and so forth. I also called a couple other people and their prices were higher. The price monthly fee was pretty much the same, so that was not a big deal, but they wanted more money to start out with. Plus, they did the same thing as Frontpoint's reps but they weren’t as friendly and cooperative as Frontpoint's people. So, I went with Frontpoint. Also, the cost of the motion sensor and everything else I got from them was a lot cheaper than the other people I talked to. I also liked that I can add different things to the system if I need them.

I put the system in myself and my experience with that was good. The person I talked to said that I had to move the motion sensor around until I got the right area. The living room and the kitchen are in one huge room and he said I could put it in the corner and start there. Then he worked his way around to see where the best area was coverage-wise. So, I did that and it worked out fine. When I had problems getting in on my phone on their app, I called them back three times and they were glad to talk to me. They helped me and I finally got in. It was great and I haven’t had any problems with them since.

Aside from that, I have a pole barn that’s about 290 feet from the house. I have a door sensor in there that won’t connect with the main unit in the house, so I’m gonna have to get a booster for it. And I think that’ll solve the problem. I’ve gotta go try and get one because they probably have one that will work in that system. Other than that, Frontpoint's reps were great people to work with. So far, the system works good and I don’t have any problems with it. I’ve also talked to other people with different alarm systems and they say it’s a good system. I’d recommend Frontpoint to anybody.

I haven’t had any good experiences with Frontpoint lately. When I first got the package, I was told that I could have as many cameras as I wanted. It wasn’t specifically mentioned that I needed to upgrade a package. I already had what I thought was the largest package they offered. When I ordered everything, the touch control panel was on backorder and they sent me one to use in the meantime. Once I got the touch after a month down the road, I returned the original one back. They ended up charging me money off my credit card. Since then, it’s been like a battle trying to get the refund back. They ended up somehow giving me the refund then taking it back, and then taking it out on my checking account a few weeks ago. And then, I just got the refund now on my credit card, which I don’t understand why they took it out of my checking account. And then they weren’t able to replace it with the same account.

The installation was a little harder than I thought. Frontpoint says they’re wireless and they are, but you still have to hook it up to something. I had to do it myself, and I have yet to call an electrician to drop some wires. So, I have a couple cameras right now that are uninstalled. Also, the quality of everything is pretty shoddy. I have a pretty good connection at my house, but I could look at my camera images right now and everything seems like it’s being lagged. Still, the reps are all great. With the system, I’m able to log in and loo to see what’s going on at the house, so that’s good. It’s a good service just as long as no one’s pulling extra money out of my checking account without asking.

I have ** people within my neighborhood. So, I decided to get a home security system. I did a search and I had some experience with a provider that my father-in-law had been dealing with. But they’ve switched owners five times in 10 years and I didn’t’ wanna deal with that. Instead, I went with Frontpoint. It seemed like their offer was a good value and I really liked that they were super affordable. I also liked the smart interactivity where I can check everything on my phone. Plus, the expandability of the system was something that I liked as well as I can add modules to the smoke detectors as I want to.

Frontpoint's equipment was easy to install. You just follow instructions on a tablet or a phone and everything came out of the box ready to go, so you just peel and stick. But I needed to do a little bit of tweaking on the motion sensors because of their sensitivity and directionality. Then, I did a bunch of testing during the set up period of setting off the sensors and the sensors were very accurate.

The only thing is, I’m Canadian and Frontpoint's salespeople were not as up to speed on jurisdictional requirements as they should be because there was a whole permitting process that I had to go through that I did not know of until I’ve actually entirely engaged in acquiring the system. If they’re selling in that jurisdiction, they should have that already in their frontline interactions with the customer. So it was an annoyance. It wouldn’t have deterred me from getting a security system but it’s one of the things that if I'd gone with somebody local or one of these installer-based security, they would have known that and they would have either acquired it for me or advised me of it.

Another thing is, I did a bunch of my own research in terms of interactivity with other smart systems having doorbell cams, door locks, garage doors, and other sensor modules like smoke, fire, and CO2. And Frontpoint's system is very much set up in an Apple model of being very simple and easy to follow instructions. But I’m an IT guy so I started looking for more depth and expandability about how would I create a subnet and attach repeaters on there so I can control more stuff routed through the central control panel of the Frontpoint system. And that took a little bit more digging than I would have appreciated. There should be a little more variability in terms of whether you want an easy or advanced mode. But that’s not a complaint and that might only apply to me.

Other than that, my interaction with Frontpoint's reps was fantastic and they were very knowledgeable. I was also super happy with the speed of delivery and the cost for me was totally reasonable compared to other providers that I researched. I like that with the system, if I get a warning that the door is not closed, I get that right away. So the fact that the system relies on cellular networks is really good. There's almost an instantaneous interactivity and it's a good value. All in all, I’d recommend Frontpoint to other people and the first thing I'd tell them is that they'd have to go to the city and get a permit.

We have a remote site where we have been utilizing an actual security guard. Because it's remote, there are occasional vandalism and such, sometimes theft, so we wanted something that could watch it all the time and actually report when somebody is breaking in and do it at a less cost than having somebody posted out there. We use ADT for a warehouse in Irvine, but their costs were a lot higher. On the other hand, Frontpoint seemed like it was easy to install. We wanted something that was simple that we could do ourselves. It came with the correct sensors that we needed. We didn’t need much because it's a shed. It doesn’t have windows. It just had one door and needed a couple of security cameras. We needed something simple and that somebody would monitor at a fairly reasonable price and Frontpoint's was good and the lowest for us.

When we set the order, I thought I was getting two different cameras and it only listed one, but the reps were willing to add the other. Since I had such a simple system, I didn’t have a bunch of other sensors. They were flexible and met my needs. Setting up the system was pretty easy, but our scenario was a little different. It wasn’t a typical home, and being remote, our internet is a lot more convoluted. We had a half-mile fiber-optic line that I readied. I had a connection to internet so I had a lot more to deal with than a normal person would have to. All you really need is a solid internet connection and Wi-Fi, and after that, the set-up is straightforward.

The only thing that I spent more time than I wish in setting up was instructions on how to set up some of the cameras for notification. The step-wise approach, and how to do it, and what does it mean when you set it up in one fashion versus another, the information on how to set up the notification was lacking. Also, the instructions though could have been a little better. They weren’t terrible, but they weren’t super descriptive. As long as I followed it and it worked the first time, it was no problem. But when I had problems, I called them up and they were willing to walk through what I needed to do. I appreciated that.

Our camera has been working really well. Also, I get a text message when our guy showed up in the field, which is great because I know when people are going out there. If I get a text message when they're not, and I know they're not out there, it's a trigger for me to take a look right away. I like that function of the system as well.

When I called back in January 2019, I said I wanted to cancel my service. My call was passed off to an Account Manager who informed me the soonest the service could be canceled would be effective at the end of February, with an additional payment due for the month of February because they require a 30-day notice of cancellation.

When I explained that my intention in calling in October was to learn the procedure for cancellation, the Account Manager said the notes on my file only indicated that I called to inquire about when the contract would end. Even though I had been a loyal customer for 3 years, the Account Manager said there was nothing he could do to cancel the service as of the end of January or waive the monthly fee for February. He said I had earned loyalty credits that could reduce my monthly payments but that they could not be applied for February. Everything went together quickly and didn’t have too many issues, except for the camera on the outside that I had to have someone come for it. The instructions that came with the system are very well put together. Everything in their package was customizable in terms of how many things we wanted. In terms of the cost in relation to the quality of the system, it was very fairly priced. It is cheaper and so much better than most of the other big companies for which can be done by yourself, instead of having someone come out. Frontpoint's smartphone app was very easy and we use it all the time.

Frontpoint also has good customer service. Their rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. They get the problems fixed quickly. When I had an issue, they gave me some free months of service for some of the hassle I had. Our sense of security has been good in terms of having a security system. Their rating speaks for themselves. They’re one of the top-rated ones for price and usability. They’re very willing to work with us to set it up and it also doesn’t take too much time if we're willing to set it up ourselves. There are some challenges to setting it up and having to call people sometimes, but not having someone there to set it up can be a little frustrating. I purchased a home security system for my wife and I chose to go with Frontpoint because of their cost and services available. The installation of my system went well and the instructions were clear. However, I had an issue on one of the locks. Still, they sent me one to replace it. Apart from that issue, everything went pretty smoothly. The quality of the features that are offered in my system is good. I have the app on my phone and I use it. I have interruption sometimes, as I lose signal to my doorbell, where my camera is on that. In spite of that, my wife feels like she's more secure since having this system, especially when I'm gone.

Frontpoint is not what I thought it would be. I wish they had the security cameras, something like Comcast's ‘cause those are really nice. But we really wanted the Arlo which lets you know if someone is close to your door. And we were hoping that Frontpoint would be that contender, but it turned out it wasn’t. Also, Frontpoint's price was a little higher than what we’ve been paying. I have found out you have to pay $5 extra to have the app. We’re paying more and we’re getting fewer services. We were told that the app, where it notifies us if somebody opens our door or not, is $5 extra. But the person ended up giving it to us for free. But if we had known that was not free, I didn’t think we would’ve gone with Frontpoint ‘cause that would’ve cost even more than what we were paying with Comcast. But Frontpoint is still awesome. Now, we have it where we get notifications right away if somebody opens the door.

Every single person I’ve spoken to at Frontpoint has been awesome. They just went out of their way to help me. Even if something went wrong, somebody would rectify the situation, instead of transferring me here and there. We thought somebody was gonna come and install the system, so we were waiting, but it was okay. It was hard to do on the window, but it was okay. Everything is pretty much good. I just wish there was like a live feed. We wanna make sure nobody’s coming in and out of the house, but we’d like to see who’s walking up to the house, too. So if Frontpoint has some type of camera system that was also linked in to our phone, that’d be awesome.

Frontpoint charges an arm and a leg for their equipment and then proceeds to lock you into a multi year contract. Their monitoring was slow to respond to incidents we had where my in-laws entered the house without the code and managed to call multiple people prior to me finally getting a call from Frontpoint. If you’re going to sign a contract I would suggest going with one of the more traditional companies as their installation and service is better and you end up paying the same amount for monitoring. If you prefer DIY or no contract there are several other solutions out there I would try beforehand. I ended up canceling my subscription and am still paying less despite the hefty fees they charged me.

The guy who assisted me was really friendly and helpful. He walked me through the whole process and he was awesome. He explained the system, how it worked, and all the contract stuff. Then he gave me his contact info, so if I needed help, I could just reach out to him specifically. After that, the installation was pretty easy. There were a lot of peeling stickers and putting things in place. The features of the system seem pretty straightforward and good, too. The only thing is, the terminal is a little bit underwhelming as far as our day and age. It looks like it's from the 90’s. Plus, it's really big, bulky, and unsightly.

Other than that, everything else is fine. I like that I could take the equipment here with me and I can add to it if I need to. Also, the smartphone app is nice and easy to use. It is a redeeming feature with how the touchpad works. The touchpad is kind of basic and to get my wife into using it was a difficult job. Still, I feel more comfortable with leaving and sleeping since I got the system. Frontpoint's price seems fair as well.

I also like the cellular piece of it and if somebody got in the house and they hit the controller, the arm would still be active. I like the quality of the hardware as well. But in putting the motion sensor devices in a corner, there should be some kind of other device that would match the corner so you have more stuff in contact with the wall, like an adhesive. We've done DIY stuff in the house before so we're comfortable with that. There is also the monitoring on your phone. I don’t have a phone line so we were to go with a system that didn’t use the phone system. Those were the biggest factors in the decision to go with Frontpoint. The installation was fine but the system itself, I don’t like. I've had problems with four different pieces of equipment and it's pretty frustrating.

We've had faulty smoke detectors and I've had them go off at 2:30 in the morning. We've been up at 2:00 in the morning trying to set the alarm off. Frontpoint would call me and ask if there is a fire. But I physically turned the alarm off. They should know that I'm home. They don’t need to call and verify. Even the process that they are using isn't the best way. I've even gone to the grocery store and come back with fire trucks at my house. I've had to ship the smoke detectors back and even when they sent out new ones, those were faulty too. Now, the glass break sensor keeps saying it's going off. So I've had the system off because I'm too busy to fix all the issues with it. But I need to get that fixed. It's been terrible for me and my children.

We get a home security system as a matter of insurance and we had a different security system before. But they’re local over in Spokane and they suit the needs for that locale. Frontpoint, on the other hand, fits the needs we have here, being out in the country and not having a city around us for technical support. The two providers are completely different animals. I’d recommend Frontpoint to anyone though. In fact, I’d even recommend them to Spokane. Every once in a while, you run across a country that is fulfilling their role better than well. Frontpoint was kind of a standard for a service business that is involved in technology. So to whoever is putting this together, kudos. It’s nice to see.

When we did the installation, the directions online weren’t enough such that we didn’t have to call up and get help over the phone. You try on your own because you don’t wanna be always running to the phone. But I don’t know if we could’ve gotten it done in an afternoon just using the online help. The phone help we got was perfect though, and once we got that help, the issue was resolved within ten minutes. It was made extremely simple and straightforward. Frontpoint's phone support is possibly the best phone support I’ve ever come across.

I was in the service business for 42 years and I couldn’t ask or expect for more than I got from all the contacts that I’ve had with Frontpoint. It’s just fantastic. They have intelligent people on the phone who know their stuff and they are articulate and thoughtful. They listen to what the question might actually be since a lot of us aren’t professionals from the business. We don’t know the right words and the exact right questions to use. It was nice to be able to stumble through that without feeling like I’m stupid.

We really like being able to keep track of things or set or undo the alarm system remotely. Especially during windstorms, it’s nice to be able to check the window sensors and see if a tree has banged to the house. Within a couple of weeks though, there was an upgrade in that portal to access it remotely. It was a little annoying because the upgrade seemed pointless. It probably accomplished many things from Frontpoint's point of view but from our point of view, it was kind of a pain. Their phone presence is perfect but they have a ways to go on their web service.

But for now, the system is perfect. It’s doing everything that we want it to do and no more. It seems seamless and it's not obtrusive. You don’t really have to remember how to use it when you haven’t used it for a while. That’s all I can ask of – that sort of technology that's like an appliance. You just use it. It does everything it’s supposed to do and then you don’t have to sit there, stare at some directions and try to remember what it is you were supposed to do to get it to work.

My house was broken into and one of my good friends and neighbors who have Frontpoint spoke highly about it. I did a bunch of research on the internet and Frontpoint kept floating up to the top. I talked to their sales guy and he was easy to talk to and super helpful. Once I got the system, I got it mostly installed with no problem but it ran with a couple of hiccups. Then, I called another time for another setup issue that I was having with my smoke detector. We have asked the guy some questions and then realized that we never had a full thorough walkthrough on the control panel. It was a 45-minute call and he walked me through every single process I could do on the control panel, how it works, and helped me through everything. He was super helpful as well.

The installation was super quick. I got nine different pieces of hardware to put in, but it was all simple and it took no time at all. Also, it took me half hour to get the app installed and everything was done with the exception of a hiccup where I had a problem with one of the pieces of the hardware being mislabeled. Other than that, everything was dead simple. I have the window and door sensors, a couple of motion detectors and smoke detector. I like the features in my system and it is strong. Frontpoint is a high-quality system but I feel like I'm paying more than that I want to. I was hoping the price range would hit more of a $25 but it is more of $45 a month. I'm not entirely happy about it but it is the tradeoff of having an actual sense of security. I can arm and disarm it and check notifications online via my phone and it is super helpful. Overall, I have had positive experiences with Frontpoint until this point and I would recommend the system to people.

I looked on the internet and did a bunch of searching and Frontpoint seemed to be the highest rated and easy to get along with people. They also were set up cellular, not through internet or any phone lines. The reps were great to work with. It was just like walking into a small-town hardware store and talking to somebody that has been doing it for 20 years and knew where all their stuff was. They had a series of questions that they asked and then they recommended a few things. And then, we talked about the different options that they had. I pretty much put it throughout the house. We live on an acreage. So, I'm still gonna put out everything outside as far as exterior doors and garage doors and all of that. They offered the largest array of possibilities to choose from.

The equipment seems really well. The devices they sent for the outdoors wouldn't reach because of the distance between buildings, so we ended up going with long-range system on that. But as far as everything inside, the majority of everything is peel and stick, like 3M stuff on the back side. So, I put a stick 'em devices on the back and placed them where I needed to place them. I didn't have anything that didn't work as well as I had hoped and I was done in maybe an hour.

With the smartphone features, I can arm and disarm everything from my phone. I can see what's open and what's closed. The smartphone app is very user-friendly. Once I forgot to disarm it before we all got home and my stepson walked in the house and it was literally seconds and they were calling me on the phone to find out if there was a home intrusion or somebody just didn't disarm it when they walked in. So, that was impressive. Also, the monthly cost is less than $50 a month. And since it's all cellular and I can check it from anywhere I'm at, arm and disarm, and do different things, I'm really happy with what I got. If you live on an acreage that doesn't have internet and doesn't have a landline phone, or even if you do have all those options, this is the ideal system.

So, now, I’m having to go to a different company to get a system that will work with Frontpoint's system to cover my windows. Also, Frontpoint's reps were very firm on the fact that I couldn’t cancel it without paying for the whole thing, for the contract period. If I had known all of that when I got their system. I wouldn’t have gotten it.

Also, the quality of the system can be improved. I have sensors on my doors so if someone breaks in through one of them, then I'm gonna be in good shape. However, what's supposed to cover me if someone broke in through a window? Who is going to turn on a motion sensor when they're home asleep? I might have to get up and go to the restroom and the sensor would go off. So, I'm not covered at night. It's ridiculous that they're putting out that I'm covered in this and that. I'm only covered as long as I don't move.

I replaced my home security system with Frontpoint. I had Slomin’s and then I went to ADT and really hated their customer service. That was when I did my due diligence, looked up online and saw that Frontpoint was rated top for customer service. And they definitely lived up to that review online. Everybody was professional, nice and very helpful to me. The features are great. I use their smartphone feature all the time. I just wish they had offered cameras because it was not an option for me. Now, I need to get one. So far, the system has been functioning well. However, something is triggering the glass breakage on the back door. There were a couple of times wherein I got a little reminder on my phone that there was a back door glass breakage and it freaked me out because no one was home. But everything was good.

I had an isolated break in so I had to get a home security system and when I chose Frontpoint as my security system, I searched on the internet and looked at reviews. The installation of the system was easy but I don't like to plug-in everything. I wouldn’t choose the video again because I would rather that it’s hardwired. The wiring in the house is more of a cosmetic in and outside the house. We had some times when it was not available because of internet reasons and we couldn't see it sometimes. Also, since it is plugged into an outlet and you put that outside, it seems very unsecured and somebody can just unplug it and take it. In addition to that, we have a hard time with one of the window things. It keeps coming unglued and it comes off, so we keep having to attach it. All in all, the Frontpoint system works and the equipment is functional but they're not the greatest.

The quality of Frontpoint is fine. It works great and the features are great too. I didn’t get their touch-screen panel. It was extra. I just kept their standard one. It works fine, it's just outdated. A touch-screen system would probably be nicer 'cause they have some features like show the weather and certain features that go along with the touchpad. They would also link up with other systems in your home. But the app is super easy to use. Frontpoint is a little more pricey than some other options, but their pricing was fair and they offer other things as well. It was so easy to set up too. When I got my kit, one of the glass break sensors didn’t work, so I called them up, and they walked me through how to reset it. They were super nice and it was just easy.

Frontpoint was recommended by a couple of friends of mine as I had a new baby. During the set-up of the initial products, their reps were very thorough, informative and helpful. The installation was straightforward. The equipment’s quality is good but I have had two of the window breaks that I put up fell off at some point. It was the tackiness of the tape that they gave us. Once I put it out, I had to go up there and re-put some additional Command strips to make sure they stay up. But so far, everything has been great with Frontpoint. I cannot put a price on safety so relative to the price, ease of use, being able to do everything remotely from my phone via the app and that it is wireless, the convenience of the system is nice. It is a good option for people who wanna have a security system.

My experience with Frontpoint's salesman is excellent. Their level of knowledge and expertise is good. They explain very well and what they say is easy to understand. The instructions that came with the equipment, the installation, and their app are easy as well. I have the motion, sensor doors, sensor alarm, and I got a fire alarm too. I use their app every time. I use it to put the alarm on and disarm it because I have some people that clean my house every 15 days. In terms of the cost in relation to the quality of the system, the monthly payment is reasonable. I’m happy with the service that I got.

My doorbell camera hasn’t been recording in a while. I've had problems with this in the past and called Frontpoint. The people have been nice, but they just say that the problem is my internet service. It didn’t do me a whole lot of good and I'm not happy with the way things are going right now. The doorbell camera's performance isn't that great either. It's really slow to pick up on stuff. The sensitivity is not turned down, but half the time, it'll pick up way too late.

We are living in a new neighborhood and I like the safety of having a home security system. We googled the top security systems and Frontpoint is one of the top. Oddly enough, we never saw any commercials for Frontpoint, so we were kinda curious. I called numerous others as well and got quotes but Frontpoint has the best customer service which is I’m all about. Plus, their price is cheaper, too. The gentleman we spoke to was amazing. He answered all of our questions. He was not pushy at all and he ended up giving us a couple of days to think it over and talk with my husband before confirming anything. He ended honoring a deal because it was a deal that was ending.

I got everything for all my windows and it was easy to put on. Although, the volume of the actual unit that is plugged in is excruciatingly loud. It is an alarm system but sometimes, when a door or window is opening, I do not necessarily need to wake up every single person in the house so, we ended up turning the alarm off. I wish that there is a volume down or up so that I can still hear when a window or something is being opened, but not excruciating to my ears.

I feel that the equipment is secure and the quality is great. But, we have had a couple of issues with the front camera one time that the volume would go out sometimes. I called Frontpoint and have them redo the system with me over the phone. But, I had to call back a few minutes later because it did not work out as I think the guy I talked to was new. Other than that, we are really happy with Frontpoint and we have had it for quite a few months now. Moreover, the app on our phone is crystal clear. It is on-point when the camera’s detecting motion and there is no lag. The good thing also is that I do not have to call often. That aside, I have told a lot of my neighbors about Frontpoint.

I had Frontpoint at my previous home and the interactions and the service were great. The system was simple to install and set up with our home, so I decided to get Frontpoint again with our new home. The service is amazing and whenever I call to add in a sensor or a camera, I have yet to deal with a person that is in a bad mood. They are always in a good mood when I call.

The installation was easy. They sent everything in a box and the instructions are straightforward. It was a bit trickier where I mounted the cameras and I had to log it onto the Wi-Fi, but I was able to do that. The reps literally walked me step-by-step while I was on the phone and on the internet with them. I did some shopping the last time and I almost went with ADT. Just looking at the cost and everything, I paid more for the Frontpoint system than ADT, but because of their service, I decided to stay with Frontpoint.

The system that I have now is great. I believe something changed because I can log on to the app and it logs on really fast now. Before, it took a few seconds, but now, it's instantaneous. I arm and disarm it from my phone app and I noticed that it is just one or two seconds and it's done, while it took a few seconds when I had the experience at my prior house. There had been more positive improvements this time. I recommend Frontpoint.

I moved to a different neighborhood and I've been wanting the security system, but I just haven't had time to get one. Frontpoint knew what they were doing and they seemed more accurate on the information. I like that everything was done off of the satellite and not through the Internet. However, the communication with the customers was not great and the sales representatives were very quick to get off the phone. Maybe they wanna make more sales, so they are very rushy. They are rushing off the phone a lot and I don't really like that.

The rep wouldn't tell me a lot about his products. I was more or less asking him what they have and he was telling me, "Yeah, yeah, we have that." I asked if they had an indoor camera and he said that they have that. I also asked what else they had and he said, "Well, indoor camera does this and does that."I asked if they had a sensor and he said, "Yeah, we have a sensor." I asked, "What about a window sensor?" He said, "Yeah, we have that." I asked, "How about door sensors?" He said, "Yeah, we have that." I didn't know that Frontpoint had an outdoor doorbell camera. That was what I was really wanting, but he didn't even tell me Frontpoint had that. I wouldn't have gotten the indoor camera if I knew they had the outdoor doorbell camera because I never use my indoor camera at all.

I had difficulties installing the system. I'm very tech savvy and I know how to put a lot of stuff together. My family always asks me to hook up the electronic stuff, so I was thinking the installation was gonna be easy, but it wasn't easy at all. I downloaded the app on my phone and when I did the step-by-step process, it wouldn't let me do it, so I had to call customer service. They were the ones who walked me through the installation. I knew it was past the gentleman's time and he was wanting to leave, which I understood. He said it was late his time and past his time to leave. He kept bringing that up and he wanted to go, so the process was rushed.

The Frontpoint system is great and I love it, however, the devices are not well-built. I had to send back my camera and my keypad. My sensors are not working. It kept saying certain doors are open when they are not, they are closed. Right now, the sensors are saying, "Back door open, laundy room door open." My husband and I get up and we look because we think someone's coming in our house, but there is nobody and the sensors are going off. I feel safe, but I'm not happy about the product and the customer service.

So, I called right away and they walked me right through how to turn that chime off.

Also, they sent me emails and they called me. I got all kinds of stuff on my refrigerator with their phone numbers if I ever need them. When the power went out a couple of times, it flashed on my phone. It’s all good and I like it. I’ve got them on my phone and they’re on the ball. They were able to answer all my questions, and they were very helpful in setting up my system.

The system came in a box and it was a self set-up. It took me three hours to do the installation from start to finish. The hardest part was hooking up the cameras to my Wi-Fi. I looked at the instructions and it was a little hard to understand at first, especially for the camera and the hook up for the Wi-Fi. But I was able to figure it out by going on my computer and signing it on my Wi-Fi, and disconnecting my Wi-Fi, and reconnecting my Wi-Fi. I was able to connect that way.

The smart features are easily accessible on my phone. It's really easy to arm and disarm my house on my phone. And I'm able to look at the camera feeds on my phone and take the history of when somebody had gone in my house and arm and not de-armed it. So far, the system is very easy to operate. It is very affordable as well. I feel that my house is now secured, and I'm not really worried about leaving it down in Arizona unsecured.

The two systems are pretty much the same except that ADT would not set up a security system for someone who’s renting a home. We were looking for a system that costs a little less than what we were paying per month. But while most places are anywhere around $30, Frontpoint is at $44 a month. Frontpoint does the extra nudge.

The Frontpoint salesperson, Kevin, was really good. He promised us two more months free but that didn’t go through. The customer service person who I spoke to afterwards was very delightful and he explained everything. He said he would offer me the two months, but I would have to wait and try to find the information on the first one. Unfortunately, I couldn’t. I didn’t realize that I had deleted the email back to Kevin. But as far as Frontpoint's representatives and everything, they’ve been fine and very helpful.

I looked things up on the web and Frontpoint was about the best company. The installation instructions and the quality of the equipment are both okay. But the installation experience wasn't the best. I had a little problem with it not reading from one of my doors and they kept wanting me to go back and forth, put it in a different spot and send them pictures of how I put it up. Then I came to find out in the end that they just needed to send me a different type of thing to go on the door. It is one that picks up a better signal. When you're paying their price, the equipment should be a little more simple to install. Still, it worked out.

The other thing was that we put the system on test mode for the first day and even though it was on test mode the next day, they sent the police out and I got a bill. They promptly took care of it but I had to go through quite a bit. I had to pay the bill then they gave me an address to send the receipt to but they never received it. So I kept calling and they kept putting me with two or three different people. Everybody was telling me something different. The customer service was sloppy and bad. Finally, somebody told me they don't even have an address. They do everything through the email and they didn't know who I sent it to.

My thing with the alarm and my past experience was that they would always send the police out then you keep getting a bill. But other than that first time, Frontpoint hasn't sent the police out to me for no reason. Whenever I don't get to the system in time, they've called me and the system is working so it's okay. I also like the feature where I can tell whoever goes and turns it on and off. It would take a picture and I can see them. That aside, the only feature I really use is using my cellphone to turn it on or off. I don't have to be there to do that and that feature really helped. Although I had a little problem at the beginning, my experience with Frontpoint has been good so far and I would recommend it.

I was hoping for a little bit better than what I had but really, I was expecting to talk to a human and what I got is a pretty good service. I’m pretty impressed with Frontpoint. They are leaps and bounds better with everything. Frontpoint's customer service blows them out of the water. You can get somebody on the phone and they help you while they’re on the phone. And they don’t get off the phone until you’re happy with it. We were going back sending emails while we were on the phone, trying to figure stuff out and taking pictures. They even do some kind of diagnostic while you’re there. They were really nice too. All the five people that I spoke with over there were the same.

When you sign up, Frontpoint would send you the stuff. You hook up your stuff then you check everything through your app to make sure everything is working. If you have a problem, you hit a button on your phone and it brings you to talk to somebody over there. If there’s something wrong, they will walk you through how to get it right. I had a situation where they couldn't figure out if it was right or wrong but they figured out that it was an issue with the original part that they sent me. It wasn’t strong enough so they sent me a stronger version. They sent a mail and I got it two days later. I set it up and I was good to go. My experience so far is good. The system is sending me emails if something is going wrong or if something went offline. How I got it set up though is that if something goes down, I still have something else to protect it.

Frontpoint is affordable and I like what I have with them. I picked and chose the package that I thought I needed. Also, I like the smartphone features because I travel a lot and I can see whenever family members go to my house. However, Frontpoint’s alarm beeps just every three seconds. If you have already left and closed the door, you don’t hear the second whether there was a beep. So, I had friends who stayed over and opened the door to go, get to their car and didn’t even realized that they set off the alarm. Nevertheless, I had a very positive interaction with their reps and I was happy that the equipment was self-install. I like doing that kind of stuff and I thought that was fun. It took me an hour and it was very easy. The quality of the system is good and I have no complaints. Since I had it, I feel good about things and I'm not worried.

I looked at the highly recommended security companies online and Frontpoint came up as one. It was the first I called and the rep was friendly, knowledgeable about the product and offered me a good deal for the products we were buying. It was a different set-up and we thought about it since we don’t make decisions based off a conversation. The rep gave me time to discuss it with the wife and she was in agreement. He told me that as long as I got back with him that evening, he could hold the deal. That worked because otherwise, I wouldn’t have gone with them. I don’t like the pressure-sale tactic and a lot of sales people do that. I am technologically challenged and the installation wasn’t as easy as I hoped. They said it was self-explanatory but it wasn’t. Once I contacted somebody and we started going through the steps, it started working. It made more sense and everything was good, but it didn’t go very well to begin with.

One night, the alarm started going off and we went out there and turned it off. Then Frontpoint called us and asked if there was a fire. We said no and that we were not sure why it was going off. We reset it and then it happened three times that same night. If it happened on a night where I made a fire in the fireplace, I can understand maybe something happening, but it didn’t. They said that they run tests on the system automatically with their computer system every month. I’m hoping that meant there was nothing faulty and that they would come out and say they were having a problem with one of my sensors. However, I haven’t gotten a phone call. It would be nice to have a follow-up, to know that everything is okay and there’s little reason to be concerned but overall, we’re happy.

My home security system wasn't working and a girlfriend at work told me about Frontpoint. Their customer service answered the questions I asked. They told when they would be here and what they would do. I was given information and different things, but the package I have was just all I wanted. My system is working fine. And when I had to give someone information, I said I could suggest they get Frontpoint if they were interested in getting a security system.

We just bought a home, and we wanna keep ourselves and our house safe. My neighbor started working on Frontpoint. The system's very easy to integrate it with the cell phone app. But there are a lot of companies right now that are starting to work their way to lower the cost or price. There are companies like Ring that is doing very similar features like the app, sensors everywhere, and it's 10.99 in a month. I'm paying Frontpoint 43 a month and it's quadrupled price. Although I love Frontpoint, it is just a little overpriced. Nevertheless, the rep was great. The installation was straightforward. However, the system got mixed up. My neighbor came over and helped me set up some of the sensors and monitors. After that, it was pretty simple. The service and the app are both amazing. The features of the system are fine as well.

But there was one situation that was frustrating. It was our first time using the app. One time, I accidentally hit the button where Frontpoint had to call me and verify if there was a break-in or if the alarm was active. I apologized and told them I might have accidentally pushed the wrong button. The rep made sure they won't dispatch the police to my house. But a police officer still came by and seemed very frustrated with me and told me that I shouldn’t be doing these false alarm claims. I told the police officer that I told Frontier not to send somebody and yet they did. And then I got a letter from the sheriff department saying that was my first warning. Even so, I don't have any problems with the Frontpoint system.

I had a townhome built from bottom-up. I was a first time home buyer so I wanted to make sure I had security. I decided to go with them due to their reviews and how Consumer Reports gave them a higher rating last year. Overall for Frontpoint, it works off the cellular, cell towers as well, so it’s more consistent. Everything has been really great with their customer service department and their product works well so far.

I did the installation of the system myself and it almost took me an hour, so it wasn’t that bad. I had to read the directions and get used to it, but it was detailed enough. I’m a computer and electronic savvy, so it wasn’t that hard for me. Having a smartphone made the installation a lot easier. I think anybody who didn’t have a smartphone, they would have a problem. Frontpoint's app helps you set everything up. But I also called them and reached out to them about one thing, and they were very helpful and handled it within five minutes.

The features offered are great, especially being able to monitor on your cellphone because a lot of other companies charge a lot more to do so. The working of the cellular in case the Wi-Fi went down in the house was a big plus. Being able to just do it from your smartphone made it a big plus as well. The only thing I wanted to do is get the touchscreen one for the main system box, but the one that I have now is fine already because I can do most of it on my smartphone anyways. I’ve been noticing that I’ve been using my phone more often, as they suggested. So to spend that extra money on a touchscreen wasn’t really needed. Since the installation of the Frontpoint system, I’m more knowledgeable about what’s going on in the house and I know where everything is.

The people that I spoke with at Frontpoint were very knowledgeable. The rep explained everything to me, and he was very polite. The whole thing was a great experience. The installation was very easy. We like the system, and the quality is good. I like the fact that you can expand as the technology is changing now. I have the app on my phone. I can add and delete some stuff. So, with the technology, I like the convenience and the availability.

We built a new house so we wanted to put a security system in it. My wife's mom and dad got Frontpoint and they like it so they suggested it to us. Frontpoint went over all their packages with me and I chose the one that fits our house and me better. So far, I've liked the system and I'd also recommend Frontpoint. The people that I talked to who got everything worked out for us were real helpful. Customer service was good and the installation was easy. All the instructions were easy and I didn’t have problems putting anything together. Everything went together good and the system has been working good. I like the app too. You can turn the security system on when you're not even home or turn it off if you need to let somebody in. It works good.

I looked on the internet for good reviews and I went with Frontpoint. The reps I spoke with were really nice and especially the selling person was very, very helpful in counselling. With the installation, some window sensors were not that easy to install. Maybe if they were a bit bigger that would allow more flexibility on how to install them. Other than that, the features in the system have been good so far.
