I was moving into a house but I wasn’t gonna be there for a month. It was fully furnished in a new area and I wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be any problems with the neighborhood for break-ins. I chose Frontpoint for their ability to communicate and their pricing. The rep I dealt with was awesome. I let her know what I was looking for and she created a package for me. She sent over the information from the package, quote-wise and the promotions that were available.

I told her what I needed and what I didn’t of what she was offering. And we were able to customize the package that worked best for my house. She followed up with me, but I told her to follow up in a few weeks, and she did. Then we were able to get things finalized. When I set up the system, the hardship was installing the cameras because I was doing it from my phone, through-the-app process. There wasn’t a step-by-step on how to install them. I knew how to put it together, but to connect it to the system and link it, I ended up having to call. The rep had to walk me through that process. Thus far, I like the system's smartphone features. It’s easy to arm and disarm and I like being able to see that on the screen when that happens. I also like that when someone’s at my door, I get an alert, letting me know that motion is either sensed or whether the doorbell’s been pushed. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint.

I had a break-in and decided to get a home security system. I went with Frontpoint mostly due to the online reviews and good recommendations. I called them, talked to their rep and explained to him what I needed and where in the house I was gonna put the system. He walked me through the recommendations they had as far as what sensors to put where. The system was self-installation and was super easy to do. They sent me the box of the stuff, and I put them where they belonged. It has what I need. The quality of their system is good and functional. The cost of their service is also good. Since having the Frontpoint system in my home, my sense of security is higher. I'm able to monitor the cameras and stuff remotely. And when I'm not at home, I get notifications if the sensors go off, which is nice.

I just moved to Arizona and I had no idea what companies they have here. So, I did a Google search and Frontpoint came up with decent reviews. The installation instructions were straightforward. I was able to put the system up in 10 to 15 minutes since I only had two motion sensors to install. As soon as I installed the system, I had access on my cellphone to be able to activate and deactivate it. That was a pretty cool feature. I learned after a week or two that it was a trial and I have to pay extra to actually get that. Not a big deal, but I would have appreciated some kind of heads up on that or an explanation upfront on, “Hey, you can access this. You can turn it on and off via cellphone, but that’s only temporary.” But I’m glad I have the system since I have family and kids. That was the first thing I did when I moved to the new house and now I feel pretty good. We will always have Frontpoint.

I tried a couple of systems in the past and Frontpoint is much better. They're also cheaper than any other security company in the US for the same service and quality. I had to work with a Frontpoint rep over the phone and I told them exactly what I want for my house. Then they gave me different options then I picked what I wanted. Frontpoint has the best up-to-date system and everything works, so far. Also, the application that they provide to access their system is very user-friendly.

You have to install the Frontpoint system yourself. And by doing that, I learned a lot of stuff for myself. I had experience working with this kind of stuff, so it was easy for me to install. But I didn't have any power outlet where I wanted to install the system, so I had to hire an electrician to install the power outlet for me. Other than that, it was simple to install and I did everything by myself.

For every event, Frontpoint makes sure that they call you. When I forgot to disarm the front door and then I opened it, they called me right away to make sure everything is okay. I also have a fire alarm. And they sent the Fire Department right away thinking as something happened to the house because I didn’t respond back to the text message and the phone call that they did. They checked everything for me right away and they were very responsive. Their customer service is great and I’ve never had any complaints with them.

The only thing that's not connected is my front door camera, and I don't think the instructions were very clear on how to connect it. But I like the app since it’s very convenient.

My sister has been with Frontpoint for a few years now. Because of that, I decided to go with them and so far, it’s been a good experience. They have a variety of features offered which are perfect for what we need here in our neighborhood and I like them. What I also like about Frontpoint is the features that we have work with the current monitors that we do have on our door from the previous one that we did have 12 years ago, so I didn’t have to go out and purchase everything. The smartphone features are good, too. If something goes off, it’s already populating on my phone within minutes and that's awesome.

However, to be quite honest, the one that we had before was a little bit cheaper than what we are paying now. But, I think that Frontpoint offers a bit more and maybe that’s why. And, it’s worth it. The system has been working perfectly and it’s worth paying that instead of having somebody break into our house. The customer service has been amazing, as well. I would recommend Frontpoint.

The place where I lived didn't allow security systems. I cancelled Frontpoint and then went back to them. The guy who sold me the system was great. Given the fact that I was a returning customer, he gave me an upgrade on some equipment and got me back up to date and all that goodness. I reinstalled everything and it was a complete pain. We had old sensors and they had backward compatibility set up with their system so, they had to work on that. I had to pop the back and do all that. Even after I did all of that, the sensors didn't align correctly with their systems and my alarm started going off for no reason at all. On top of that, even after I activated the program, Frontpoint never activated, so I just had it on test mode for six months that I was paying for it, and I had no idea it was on test mode. They remedied that and they gave me some compensation.

One time, we had a two-hour conversation and I told the guy that we were not getting off the phone until the issue was hashed out. So, he helped me get it all set up and I liked it a lot. I use everything as far as the smartphone features. Being able to take a look at who, what, when, where, how, and why is always a good thing. I also haven't had any major drawbacks since I got off the phone with the guy, so overall, the functionality and performance of the system is going well. It definitely helps in having a sense of security. Frontpoint is a great company and I haven't had an issue in the past with them, so I wanted to give them the opportunity to get my business back and see what they would do to work with me to get me what I needed to go forward. I've already recommended them to friends and I told them to make sure that they don't get backward compatible software and to just get the new stuff.

I was looking for a system that would provide me with all the securities I needed, and also the cameras. That led me towards Frontpoint. While their system is almost similar to other providers I've used, like Protect America, set up is a bit hard with other systems. Upon getting Frontpoint however, I had some challenges setting up their system. Still, I was able to complete it.

My first interaction with their customer service rep didn't go well. Still, the second gentleman was helpful. I did the installation myself but one of the challenges I faced was even though I was entitled to a certain number of sensors and cameras in the system, it was not enough. I had to call Frontpoint and make them do some tweaking so that those sensors would show up in my profile and I could mount and test them. In addition to that, I had to replace most of the sensors. I had to go for the long-range type than regular sensors for Frontpoint to work. Despite that issue, the system's smartphone features work well. It was not difficult figuring it out.

Given that a lot of other systems are coming into play, the cost of Frontpoint's service is a little on the high side. But it is on par with others from a system standpoint and not the monthly monitoring fee. Frontpoint is highly rated by users but there is a disconnect between sales and everybody. They need to collect better information and ask more relevant questions during the sale cycle so that they can ship the right device. They should also not make someone wait for a month to get everything installed. I recommend they close that gap.

I was moving into a new location, and there was a potential break-in. A homeless person was banging on my neighbor's door and that was two days prior to my move-in so I opted to get a security system. Frontpoint has the most flexible plan and it also seemed affordable. However, I've been extremely dissatisfied. I've never once activated my system and I don't even have it set up. Frontpoint started billing me incorrectly. I called them to cancel. I don't want it and I've tried to return it. They said I was a few days outside of the window, and I'm now stuck into a three-year contract. I have been absolutely livid with the entire experience. It has been an extremely frustrating process, so I regret ever calling Frontpoint.

I felt that the sales process was highly deceiving. When you sign your contract, you do a signature in it. It reflects on all pages. It's like those AppleCare type of things. You sign your life away, and there are 30 pages of an agreement. You don't necessarily know what you're signing and ultimately, Apple turns to you and say you didn't read it and that's your fault, which I'm 100% it is. I'm the consumer and it's up to me to read every line and understand the cancellation policy.

What's frustrating with Frontpoint is what I believe was said over the phone versus what is in the paperwork was different. When I called Frontpoint, I told them I was told differently over the phone. I also remember them saying they recorded the call. So I needed them to send me a copy of what they have recorded. That's my right as a California citizen. However, the rep said he couldn't give the recording to me and that my lawyer needs to contact them. I know for a fact what was said to me over the phone was not that I'm stuck in a three-year cancellation. I cannot back out of it, and so that's what the paperwork says.

While it is my responsibility as a consumer to read every single line, I trusted the sales representative, and at the end, I got screwed. So I would like to see that process changed. And it doesn't aid to a very successful customer experience when you asked for something that it's your right to have. I would never recommend them to anybody. My neighbors wanted to get a security system and I told them not to go with Frontpoint. I told them my experience and Frontpoint has lost a customer out of that. And I know if that's happening across the globe, then they're gonna eventually feel that pain even though I'm just one small customer.

I purchased this system before a move, paying a couple hundred for all their equipment. Six months later I moved, and asked if I could cancel as I no longer needed the system. They asked me to pay 80% of the entire value of the contract for the remaining 3 years. A year later, I didn't turn on the system for over a year, and called back to see if I could cancel again, as I'd be paying for something I didn't use. Again, same response. I'd have to pay 80% of the value of the contract, even though it has been sitting unused for 80% of the 2 years I've had it and been paying for it. Pretty ridiculous rules. I'm not a fan.

The sales rep was fine, but the price of the equipment was a little high. But then again, you get what you pay for. The installation was very easy and self-explanatory. I feel great that I did it. I like the smartphone features, especially where I can periodically check the house every time. Just recently, somebody rang the doorbell and instead of getting up and going through the door, I just opened my phone app and talked to the guy through my phone, which I liked. With Frontpoint, my house is well protected and I have no worries. I feel 100 times better with them than with my old provider. I went with Frontpoint for their convenience and price and the installation was good. I didn’t have any issues on it except for my back door. I have a door that kinda comes up. The door sensors are okay, it just didn't fit on my door and I didn’t wanna drill a hole in the wall and do all that stuff. I have to go with the motion sensor, which doesn’t really work that well. When it’s on, I walk through. Anybody can basically just walk around the room and it’s pointed towards the area. I’m kinda disappointed in that.

Also, the camera is just too much because I may have the program or the contract for the cameras, but I’m not really using it right now. It doesn't work okay. At nighttime, it’s not clear. If it wasn’t on the contract, I would probably tear it out and put a Ring in. I wish it was a little bit clearer. They could improve the motion sensor and also the price for the camera.

We just bought this house and I always purchase home security systems when I move in to a new house. The providers are all the same although some are more expensive. With Frontpoint, I went in and chose the stuff from a website, otherwise, somebody would come to my house and sell me a system that I wanted for whatever I asked for. I talked to somebody from Frontpoint over the phone and they were friendly and nice. They asked questions of what I wanted to do.

I got the window and door sensors as well as a smoke detector and it was during installation when I ran into problems. The system wouldn't activate. When we went to the steps to do everything like it said on the website, it went through but it wouldn't activate on their end. The system itself came online. It was seeing all the sensors but the monitoring system wasn't getting the signal for some reason. It was four weeks before they finally figured out what was causing the problem and they fixed it.

The smart phone features use the same web app as I had in the other house so, it was the same system. Even the control panel was the same so there was no change in what I had but it was a different company monitoring it. The system’s functionality and performance has been great. I have no sensor mishaps and the batteries have been lasting a decently long time. I’m a happy and satisfied customer of Frontpoint. It makes my wife feel safer and that's all that matters to me.

I've already purchased a set of equipment for the service from a different company. But I was told by Frontpoint today that there is one month cancellation notice. I am surprised. This means I have to pay one extra month. It is rare for service like this needing a month notice for cancellation as there is really nothing preventing them from canceling it except for the money. I am very disappointed about their Frontpoint security policy and will not use them again.

I've been a Frontpoint customer now for 2 1/2 years and recently when the alarm has been set off, because I forgot to deactivate it before opening a door, I've been getting automated calls asking if I want to cancel the alarm. Convenient? Maybe/maybe not. Today I set the alarm and left the house only to get an automated call stating a window alarm had gone off, would I like to cancel? Uh no, I want to speak to someone first, push phone button, wait on hold, they finally answer, verify address and password. At this point it was almost 3 minutes! They could not answer if the alarm went off when the system was set or after and would have to transfer me to technical support.

4 minutes passed by now. I declined to send the police because the last time this happened I raced home, before the police, to find that again, nothing wrong with the sensor, no indication of a fault code, just a glitch. My main complaint though is the automated calls. I was told when I signed up that a person would be calling me. Today I requested that my contract be cancelled 6 months early and was told "no." In a day and age when good customer service is worth its weight in gold, you would think they would have been less greedy and accepted my request, considering I've been a customer in good standing for 2.5 years at this point. There are so many other options out there that won't cost $45/mo and you won't have to deal with automated phone calls. I will definitely be seeking another option when my contract expires in August and would highly recommend you do the same.

I ordered my Frontpoint System in September and was slow to install for various reasons. I signed up for the three year plan because all the reviews were very positive especially with regard to the customer service experience. As I began the process to install the system, I took the hub panel out of the box and found it was the same version sold in 2009! It is large, heavy and looks 10 years old. After some research, turns out there was a touch screen panel that was available over the last few years, but that had been discontinued due to the manufacturer no longer making it. Good news was that Frontpoint came out with a new touch pad in November.

I contacted Frontpoint customer service, the technical team put me on hold explaining that they didn't have the ability to help me. 45 minutes later, an account representative named Pam (who was very polite) explained Frontpoint was satisfied with providing a 10 year old panel for a security system purchased in 2018. After reading all the excellent customer service reviews, I was surprised they were unwilling to swap out the hub since they had a gap in their technology offering that was not understood at time of purchase. Shame on me for not being aware of that technology gap. Anyway, Pam offered $100 off the $299 price for the updated hub which I am not satisfied with. Long story short, a company that prides itself on tech and customer service providing a 10 year old panel to a new customer and not doing the right thing to swap it out is disappointing.

It was easy and seamless. They had low prices too.

Frontpoint is easier to use than other systems I‘ve had. Everything is very straightforward. It is the easiest time that I’ve had to transition into getting my own security system and I've been living on my own for a while now. Their customer service was super helpful in choosing what system to get in terms of the different sensors and things like motion detectors. I got new equipment and the installation was super easy. I did it myself. For the most part, I arm and disarm my home using my phone so it’s pretty cool. I can monitor when the dog walker comes in and when they leave. The sensors also tell me when the doors have been opened and closed.

I've always had a security system for 30 years and I felt safer with one. Frontpoint's sales rep was fine and she was the reason I ended up buying their system. However, the customer service of previous providers was better. Frontpoint is a little lacking there. The alarm still isn't completely installed. And then there are a number of things that are annoying, something I can't work from the app. I have to go online to do them. I got a ton of door and window alarms, and they all just say Keychain. So, it's cumbersome to go in and update it to where I put something in that's meaningful.

Frontpoint's system is also harder to use. With the panel, I have power cables running all over the place. The wall jack has exposed wires. It's very heavy, and it falls out of the wall, so the alarm becomes unplugged. I had to plug it into an extension cord and let it sit on the floor, so that adds to the wires that are running all over the place. Also, Frontpoint is twice the price monthly.

I got the Frontpoint security system because I was going out of the country and it was highly recommended by a friend. But where we currently live, we almost never set the alarm unless we're out of town. So, it's almost like it's not being used. But it's nice that it does have the smoke detector, and that's primarily what I use it for right now. However, I had an issue where one of the smoke detectors was going off for a while, and I could not make it stop. I was on the phone with support, and the thing kept going off. Finally, the rep had to disable it. I would not recommend Frontpoint to someone.

I was getting a security system for a business so I wanted to make sure everything was good. I chose Frontpoint based on a recommendation and the sales representative made the process very easy for me. I just told him how many doors and windows I have, and he told me what I needed. He knew what he was talking about and he knew what to do. He did really well. The installation was also simple. I had a hard time installing the actual panel but it was because I didn't know I had to take off the back. I felt dumb afterwards. Just like that, it was really easy.

I like the system. It is good and clean. The technology and the quality of the actual material they used are also good. I like that I can track what time the door opens. That's my biggest one. If someone had gone in, I would know exactly what happened. Frontpoint allows me to check what time the door opens and I can check my camera to see the time. I use my phone to track everything. I also use my phone to arm and disarm the panel. If someone was considering getting Frontpoint, I would recommend to get it all the way. They would be in good hands. It is a great company.

A friend that I was living with temporarily referred me to Frontpoint. He was using the system as well. All the personal interactions I’ve had with their representatives have been positive. When I signed up for the system, I told them what I was looking for and what I was looking to pay. They did a good enough job of selling me on the company and the product. It’s been a good experience so far. I did a self-install of the system and it was super easy. I was done in an hour. I had a couple of hiccups with getting my wireless camera connected to my network, but other than that, everything went fine.

Having a security system gives you a little more sense of security. I feel a little bit better about having my home protected and I like having stickers on all my windows that shows I’m protected. I feel good about it so far. All my Frontpoint features seem good too. I use the app all the time. It seems like a pretty seamless process. I’m happy with what I have and I considered adding another wireless camera to my backyard.

When somebody broke into my house, although they were not successful, I decided to get a home security system. I went with Frontpoint due to their customer service reputation. The interactions I've had with their customer service reps have been good. They were very responsive. The installation of the system went well, although there's one complication right now and I haven't gotten back to them yet. The system says it's a window but it's actually a door, so I just have to change that. But the installation was relatively easy.

The features that were offered are okay, and there is other stuff like my key fob so I can turn the alarm on and off when I’m just walking up the door and walking in. With the smartphone feature, I turn the alarm on and off. The contract with Frontpoint, however, is too lengthy, and their system is more expensive. And so, after a certain time period, people might start looking at another vendor. Nevertheless, having the system makes us feel a bit safer.

I had ADT as our home security system before and Frontpoint has better technology. The setup was super easy too whereas with ADT had to send someone out and they spent almost the entire day setting up their system. Frontpoint sent all of the equipment in a box and my grandma could've probably figured how to set it up. In addition, their technical support was the best of any company that I've ever dealt with. They talk to you like you're a person. They also help you understand what you're supposed to do. They have the patience to help you along the way. In terms of sales, their reps are good too. I put in an inquiry online and then they called, and they didn’t bombard me with phone calls. They weren’t pushy.

While the equipment has been good, I've experienced having issues when accessing the camera. It doesn’t always connect on the first try. Sometimes, you have to try three times. Also, I had a bad glass break device. But they sent one out very quickly after that. I went with Frontpoint because of the rating, the ease of equipment and the mobile app. The app is where you can go and set up your account and your equipment. And while the system is more expensive than others, it's worth it. The home security system's features worked out well and people were psyched about some of the equipment. In fact, I'm probably getting some more equipment soon.

We got the Frontpoint system in our office since we were always getting broken into. They were pushy, and they said that it was either good that day or we wouldn't get it for the price or we wouldn't get the free equipment. It's $44 a month while other places are a lot cheaper than that. It's expensive and the system isn't loud enough. It wouldn’t scare off a mouse. Also, we had to change the password on it and when we tried to put it on a new phone, the password wouldn't let us. But it's fine and we'll just leave it that way. We like the quality of the system and it works as it should. If everybody forgets to disarm the system, it gives a call and lets us know in the middle of the night that it's doing something.

We were looking for a system that had some pretty solid app interfacing and Frontpoint was well recommended, but more importantly, it didn’t have any long-term service agreement. The biggest issue that I had with other vendors such as ADT or Vivint was that everything was proprietary and that you don’t actually own the equipment. You're basically leasing it and it belongs to them. With Frontpoint, I could buy equipment now and that way, I’m not nickel-and-dimed for little things. The system itself was installed super quick and I was really surprised. There were some troubleshooting issues on the original set-up, but that’s to be expected. Once everything was in, it seemed to be exactly what we were after.

The only challenge that I’ve gotten, and it’s more of a systemic thing with some of the security cameras, is I’ve had some sensitivity issues that I’ve been fighting with. But we absolutely love the whole thing. Everybody that I’ve talked to at Frontpoint has been incredibly professional and knowledgeable. You don’t get a lot of the stereotypical run-ins that you do with normal customer service where you find the one-off person that doesn’t care. It seems like they've all got pretty solid consumer mentality, which is good.

Frontpoint's do-it-yourself option stood out. I don’t like to pay somebody to do something, especially when it’s as easy as it was. The quality of the product is another thing. GE Security and My Family are very respected brands. When I found out that they made Frontpoint, I didn’t think twice about jumping the gun. I contacted their customer service during the set-up process because of the issue with one of the sensors. Every time I’ve called, the wait time has been very minimal. When speaking with the reps, they address me with my first name. They also go out of their way to help me. If they didn’t have answers to one of my questions, they found someone who could. They resolved every single issue I had.

Installing the system was very easy. It's wireless so there are no holes or hardwiring that must be done. As soon as I powered up the panel, all I had to do was make the sensor active by tripping it to know that it’s online. It's very straightforward. I had the whole system up and ready to go within 30 minutes. In addition to that, the package I got was very customizable and I did add some more for my own nature. I even spoke to a rep and he was very helpful in choosing the right amount of products for me without overselling it. I also never had a problem with the smartphone feature. I have the Interactive Plan so I remotely arm and disarm the system all the time. It's very easy. In addition to that, Frontpoint's monitoring system is the same as what they use for commercial fire departments in New York City. I love the Frontpoint system.

We weren’t looking for a huge plan since it’s a very small home and we were just comparing to what was in the Comcast service. I also looked at AT&T but if you don’t have their internet or that of Comcast, you couldn’t have the service. Frontpoint was very comparable to what I was getting with Comcast and I didn’t have to have some other internet service. I could use what I have and that was great. They could also send you everything through the mail and I was able to set it up myself. It was very easy to install. I took it out of the box and hung it on the wall.

I was very skeptical about Frontpoint because it's not as known to me like Comcast or ADT, so I questioned a lot. I was broken into and not only did the window breaker fail (to note, they tested it and it worked and was within 5 feet of the glass) AND they also did NOT call the police as they were supposed to when not able to reach me. So the thief had full freedom in my house.

Also, there is no outside siren so neighbors cannot hear the system even If at full level. I tried to contact them and it became very difficult. They say that even though I purchased the products within 6 months, they were now OUTDATED and would not refund! Are you serious? 6 MONTHS??? And no police call, they will not take ANY responsibility. But they said I can use their products for a new alarm company- if I felt secure with the products, then I would not be leaving. They just do not make sense! ADT ended up being less expensive and do NOT charge you per sensor etc that you are setting up to the system. We would have preferred someone to come out and set up the system for us, but they did stay on the phone with us. They walked us through every step as we needed that support because we are not tech savvy. However, there have been window sensors that have caused some confusion. They will not stick to the walls, and we've tried their adhesives and our own tape. That's one area that still needs to be worked on. We have the extra adhesives but they are not working. But the adhesives worked in two of the other rooms, so it can't be anything that we've done differently. Other than that, everything was set up.

When I turned on the system two nights ago, it said that the window sensor was disabled so it wouldn't work. There was also an instance where it said that my pool door was open, but it wasn't. Maybe it was not as tight as it needs to be. So, in that sense, I would have liked to have somebody to actually install it so that we know that it's been installed correctly. We don’t consistently use the system right now. We're still kinda playing with it. We just turn it on when we're gone for a long time.

Their prices is very competitive, I've never had one issue with the system, except for a sensor going bad on a 3 season room, they replaced it no questions asked. I have moved five times since I first purchased Frontpoint, I just simply remove all the sensors and install in the new house, no issues or trouble. It's a great company that I recommend.

I've had Frontpoint Home Security for the past eight or nine years, never any problems with the equipment until last week. The main keypad console reported a low battery. I called Frontpoint, to my surprise they sent me a new one free of charge and suggested I call in once it arrived to walk me thru the change. Their customer and Tech support exceed all my expectations every time I've had to call them. Great Company!

Also, their customer service was highly rated. That was important for us. We've been with Frontpoint for four months now and so far, our experience with them has been good. I've been very pleased overall. Frontpoint has been responsive and has helped me through some things. The installation of the system was fairly easy and for the things that weren’t, I was walked through on the phone, which was good. We have felt much better since having the security system.

It’s a little absurd that Frontpoint has chosen to break down some of their other options as additional payments instead of a system that those come with because I’d have bought a system with additional features like the internet and monitoring. But I’m not gonna pay for more features on a basic system that they sold me. When I got the fob, there were no instructions on how to use it. For months, I was only pushing the button one time, and that means that I was at home. It doesn't make sense and it definitely should have been explained. Also, one time the maintenance people unplugged my control panel and I didn't get a phone call about it. Other than that, I like everything. Frontpoint has the cutest marketing setup. Their system came in a box and it has numbers. You'd have to be brainless not to be able to figure it out.

I used my phone and the prompt during the installation and the instructions were easy. I also like the app. I use my phone a lot and it reminds me when I need to set my alarm because my daughter leaves after me in the morning and she doesn’t usually set it. I get an alert that reminds me that I didn’t set the alarm so I just set it on my phone.

I have the doorbell camera and I have an indoor camera. And I like the smartphone features. The system has been good. It gives me peace of mind. But I wish that I could hear my alarm outside when it goes off because I only hear it in the house. But I can look at my video inside my house with my doorbell and all I've been paying is $49 for the last six months. I would recommend Frontpoint.

I like the fact that I can control the system from my phone. That’s one of the best parts of it. The smartphone feature is very convenient. Nowadays, we kind of do everything on our phone, so it's nice to be able to control that as well. The installation was super easy and it was straightforward. Anybody that plays with video games could've hooked it up. Also, the features are pretty good. The cameras are excellent and the doorbell camera is phenomenal. I wanted to purchase other items along with it, like additional cameras that I didn’t see come with the package and I didn’t purchase them because they were like $199 a pop. There were no discounts or anything.

Also, the first time connection fee is fair, but they should’ve done the installation and then with that money that I'm paying, they should give a free installation along with the equipment. They should come up with some type of payment plan for future customers because not everybody has the sum to put out in the beginning. They can do a little better with marketing and the discounts. Other than that, I'm happy with their service. I use it every day.

We live in a pretty safe neighborhood. But we spend most of the time outside, working through the week, and I wanna be able to make sure nothing happens when we’re not home. So for peace of mind, we got a home security system. I kinda researched different companies and Frontpoint seemed to be the most reasonable one when it came to their price, so we went with them. Since day one, my experience with them has been great and I like the way they handle everything. Once we went to start with the whole process, they were very helpful in every single aspect. And every time we had a problem, which hasn’t been many, they’ve been able to assist us from the beginning to the end.

Installing the system was a super good experience as well. I’m a handyman, so to me, it was like a piece of cake. But I’m not the kind of guy that likes to read things step-by-step, so I ended up calling to set up the cameras and a couple other things. Aside from that, the way everything had to be mounted was pretty much simple to follow. The quality of the equipment is pretty good as well. I’m still new with it, though. It’s been just half a year or so and there hasn’t been any break-ins in the neighborhood or house. And every time we need to use the alarm, we use it. So far, everything works good. One time, we triggered the alarm by accident. Me and my son were doing one thing and we forgot that the alarm was on. And the police showed up in the next five minutes, so I was impressed and happy to see them.

Other than that, every now and then, I can’t see my house through the cameras from anywhere. But I cannot blame it on the alarm system. It’s not the app or the alarm company. It’s more like my cellphone provider that lacks on the internet connection every now and then. But for the most of the part, I can see the cameras even when I’m driving. All in all, everything is simple to use and if you don’t know how to use it, they’re more than willing to help. So, overall, I’m really satisfied with Frontpoint.

The sales agent was very professional and he let me know all the details of the system that I was looking into. I set it up myself once it got here and everything went smoothly with it. It also performed as advertised. The features work well for me in the current set up which I’m in right now. If I was in a house or if the apartment was close to the ground, I would need more features as far as windows and things like that but we didn’t go into it because I didn’t need it. So, for the situation that I’m in right now, what I have is perfect. I was looking for minimal and it provided exactly that.

I use the smartphone features in arming and disarming the system, checking over when I’m not here and looking at the rooms that it surveils. One time, when the building lost power, it kinda glitched on me but other than that, I never had a problem with it. I’m content with the cost and when I decide to move into a house and I’m considering other features, then the first thing I go is with Frontpoint.

Frontpoint is one of the top-rated security and their affordable that’s why I picked them. But it’s a little different when I’m dealing with it because I got stickers for the motion sensor on the walls. They sent it to me in a packet and they only sent me one sticker instead of a couple extra ones. I have a concrete wall in my basement and it’s not staying on. It’s a little frustrating because they keep falling down. I had to go out and buy something that’s a little bit more sturdy just to hold them up.

When they do a test, the equipment is always working but I hadn't really done a test where I can go downstairs and set off the sensor. It has to be 7 feet but I set it in my basement and my basement is not 7 feet high. When my wife went downstairs by accident, the motion sensor didn’t even go off. It would be nice to have a notification saying the motion sensor is not working or just a little bit more security.

Also, I get frustrated because I have to keep calling back for something. Even though it makes it more affordable, it takes up a lot of time and it just doesn’t seem like it gets resolved quickly. It can be frustrating on both ends when I can’t show to the tech where I’m at or what I’m doing. And I completely understand when they feel that way. They don’t express it, but they’re trying to ask as many questions as possible to understand where I’m at. So, something that could be resolved in 15 minutes takes like an hour because they can’t really see what I’m talking about. It’s always a miss.

One time, I had my glass break. I had to send it back twice because it fell twice and shattered. I had to do technical support with that and I had to be the one that opened it up. And that was what took so long. I had no idea what this tech was talking about when I was looking at it, the positioning. It’s not really convenient. If I wasn’t in a three-year contract, I would probably cancel because of the inconvenience. Other than that, service has been good and the features are okay. I like that it’s an app and I like that I can do it from where I’m at no matter what. But I would tell others it can be challenging at times if there’s an issue with it.

Frontpoint had all the features I was looking for and had good reviews online and it has a reasonable price. Someone from Frontpoint called me and told me a little bit about the system. My package had everything in it that I wanted from a security system like the motion sensors, the cameras, the doorbell camera and then the main alarm. I talked with the sales representative and said what I wanted and they put it in the package together for me.

I called four times just for help setting up certain items like the lights or the on-wall security system itself, and it has all been really easy and simple. I just wish that the videos for the base security unit where you put the alarm code on were a little easier to find and were more detailed. I have to navigate the website a little bit. Also the hardest part was either pairing the lights or finding a place to hang the cameras that was close enough to an outlet. But the things that I had trouble with, I called and got helped with immediately. Everything was great. They were very friendly and professional.

None of the stuff has fallen apart on me or anything like that. The only thing that has come apart is one of the door sensors. But that's because it's an older house and the door warped and when I opened it one day, it pulled part of the door off with it. But I think the quality of everything is really good. The function of everything works really well and is really easy to use. I’ve already recommended it to other friends. I live in an older neighborhood that has a little bit of crime around it. I live in the house of my girlfriend and I feel perfectly safe. I can monitor all my rooms and it feels locked out so I definitely feel a higher sense of security.

The alarm system is okay, but our cameras aren’t very good and I don’t much care for the computers or the cameras. Also, the magnetic strips that they put on the doors aren’t very good. Their sales person was great and seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, they did a good job. We talked for 15 minutes and they talked me into getting a higher-end service. They gave me some good deals and discounts when I signed on. As long as I stay with Frontpoint for a certain amount of time, then the equipment only cost about $100. And it’s high-end equipment.

The installation was fine, easy and straightforward. Plus, the instructions included for the installation were awesome. They sent written instructions and one could also follow through on the app. I recently repainted so I peeled one of the things off the wall and I needed another adhesive. They sent a few extra, but the extras are different from the ones with the sticker. I went back into the box and had gotten the extra, but it was just so much thicker. The primary ones they send you are thin things that stick to the back of any of the equipment and drive them against the wall. The extras are these thick pads that put anything off-balance. That’s a problem and not a problem at the same time. I took the other stickers throughout the wall and the door and then stuck it to one of the thicker pads, which was fine. But it would be nice if they sent me the original adhesives.

The quality of the equipment is awesome. I use the smartphone features every day and it has been functioning great. The app is very cool and easy to use. There are instructions on how to get notifications if one of the doors is left open. There are triggers and cues that you can set up to let you know when there are other issues.

I like the Frontpoint system. I wanted to make sure that I didn't get a motion sensor and that I find out what I could do about that because I have dogs. They solved that problem by using those glass break sensors. I also got a key fob and I did the installation so it was not a problem. It was easy. I used the instructions and it was simple. But I always feel that instructions, no matter what it is, can always be more detailed and done with diagrams. I'm an educator and what I know is that you've gotta write stuff so that everybody can understand them, not just certain people. You may use the system all the time but you may also forget things that you do when you're doing it.

I also have had some issues with their keypads. This is the third keypad I've had and I'm still having an issue with it. But I've figured out what I can do to use it until I have an opportunity to call them again. I think it's cheaply made. I can put my code in and I can press on disarm then I can leave it for several hours while I'm in the house. But if I go to leave and press on the "away" button, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The weird thing is that if I take the keypad apart and put the back back on, it works again.

There was also an issue where the keypad has the batteries on it. It's like a tiny motherboard and at one point, the connection wasn't very stable. So I pushed it in and connected it better, and it worked. I thought that fixed it but it didn't. So there's something going on and the keypad can be not as cheaply put together. The middle button on the keypad is the "stay" button and I like the fact that if somebody were to break the glass or try to get in, the alarm would go off immediately as opposed to having a delay time. I do like that but with the keypad, I'm not sure that's working either. I think the whole keypad thing is messed up and can definitely be improved significantly.

I love Frontpoint's customer service though. Everybody has been very helpful and willing to do whatever. I've talked to four or five different people and in majority of the time, they've been able to help me. Otherwise, they would just send me a new keypad so that was okay. But the last person I talked with was the most helpful because she was asking questions that the other ones hadn't asked me. Then she said that she was sending the issues to their research department so it can be looked into further.

I first got Frontpoint in 2016 on 3 year plan. Loved the customer service, tech side. As of late many sensors going offline. Went to cancel and now comes the pain 1140.00 termination fee just because I lowered my bill within one year of my contract ending. This is how they get you locked in. Instead of just having me pay the difference (about 100.00) they got me for 1140.00. Insane business practice. Will ensure I let others know.

I purchased the system with Frontpoint and had no issue installing them, which made me felt confident on the service of Frontpoint. I had the App installed in my cellular phone which help me see and armed/disarmed my system away from home. However, few weeks ago, while I was abroad, I could not be able to see anything from my home from the app except Frontpoint logo. I thought my phone and the browser had some issues, I uninstalled and re-installed the App and still saw nothing.

I called Frontpoint customer service to report the issue, and was told that the App could only be used while I was on the trial month period; after the trial period, if I want to have the App working again, I must pay an additional $10.00 for the service. I was not told about this before and I felt that Frontpoint is not honest about this. Frontpoint just wanted to keep me to past the trial period and asked me to pay more. I asked to cancel the contract and was told I have to pay the amount of USD 686.14 for the cancellation plus the following month fee for of 30 days notice. I am a retiree in Canada and have tried to find something that fit into my budget and end up with this issue.

I first attempted to temporarily cancel service to the alarm system due to us moving. I was then put on hold with 42 callers ahead of me and a wait time of 43 minutes. Finding this completely unacceptable I hung up and called back to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor then told me he could put me on a temporary hold by waiving the next to months bills. Seeing how this was not mentioned in the first place I decided to cancel altogether. When I was placed on hold again to wait for tech support there was now 45 callers ahead of me... on a Monday 2/4/19. This customer service was professional unlike COMCAST, which is the worst ever, but this wait time is horrible. Although the supervisor told me it was not the case I wonder if I would be waiting longer if I wanted to give them more money by upgrading.

FrontPoint is financial based and not for the customer. BUYER BEWARE! I purchased the services 14 months ago when I moved into my new house and loved it. Frontpoint worked great, then last December my equipment began to malfunction. This malfunction prevented me from arming my home. I contacted FrontPoint and received horrible customer service and no immediate solution to my problem. The technical support specialist told me to go the store and purchase new pieces to trouble their equipment. For 3 weeks I called, emailed, and pleaded with Frontpoint to make my home secure. My complaints were met with deaf ears. The problem was: their equipment wasn't allowing my system to arm; therefore, my home was constantly not secure.

Fast forward to last week, I contacted Customer Service to cancel my system because I switched to MyAlarmCenter (way better company in my opinion) & FrontPoint is holding my contract over my head. The FrontPoint rep didn’t care about my system not being armable. They kept referring to my contract. They charge 800.00 cancellation fee. Even after they've recognized their inability to provide good customer service like they claim on their website. The customer service rep finally offer to fix my problem by sending me new equipment free of charge once I informed them I purchased a new system.

New customers beware!! I told Frontpoint I just had a newborn baby and I need my home secure and they didn't care! They never received my complaints and I was never contacted back by upper level management. I honestly believe they outsource their customer service to 3rd world countries. EITHER WAY, my family's concerns were never met and were still currently arguing with Frontpoint about the cancellation fee. BUYERS BEWARE!! Make sure you do your due diligence when purchasing security systems to protect your family. NO THANK YOU FRONTPOINT, never again!

I was with Vivint for about six years and when I moved, they messed up. The system wasn't as good and I kept having problems with the billing, so I canceled my contract with them. So, I Googled, went with the reviews, and switched to Frontpoint. With them, I didn't have the hassle that I had with Vivint's customer service. Also, when I told the sales rep what I needed, she gave me a good price. As a matter of fact, the package I got had an extra glass breakage with it. But at first, the breakage didn't work, so I had the it returned, which wasn't a problem.

Other than that, I installed the system myself and it took me about an hour to do it. I like that I didn't have to wait for somebody to come over to install the equipment and so far, I'm happy with the features included in my package. The smartphone features are easy to use and I also like that when the door opens, I can hear the Ring. With me living alone, that's kind of a security. Overall, I feel completely and totally safe with Frontpoint.

When I started with Frontpoint, I did everything online and had very little interaction with any of their customer service people. I talked to one person who helped me with the door and window contacts including how many windows. That went smoothly and everything I was told came in the box. I did a good job of researching what I want so there weren’t any surprises for me and I got everything that I wanted and asked for. The security system was easy to install too. It was the first time I did the do-it-yourself security system and I’ve been okay with it. I’ve got CPI which is an alarm.com equipment and Frontpoint is as good. So far, everything has been fine.

I told them I didn't know if I wanna do this, so they gave me a $10 discount on the rate. Having the system is okay, though we just have to be careful that the sensors are not moved. There was one time where I had a delay, but I was able to see it and they sent me a message. I'm able to go online if I have to, and I'm also able to use my phone. The system has cameras which I enjoy. I have the option to record if I want to, I could run the system when I leave the house and I'm able to log in and see the times the doors were opened and closed.

Plus, the smartphone features are working as planned. I wish they had battery-operated outdoor cameras though. It's available in the market, but Frontpoint doesn't have it yet. I knew exactly what I wanted and it was a straightforward call.

I did the installation and it was easy to do. The instructions were straightforward. The devices only have a little bit of a double-side tape on the back. It’s not rocket science. The features in my system are good, too. But I think I should be able to link all the devices as I like with a SmartThings hub. If I wanna link all the devices, I gotta call them to make sure that they can link to all the devices instead of just being able to do it myself. What I used to use before was a SmartThings hub from Samsung. And with that, I was able to link the security devices. We have so many different smart devices like lights, switches, garage door openers. Everything should be linked together into one, or this device should be able to link with a SmartThings hub, so it could be one huge device. Other than that, my system have all the devices I need for security. And the overall quality of the equipment is good and the cost is competitive to the other vendors.

I had a break-in of both my cars and I had the Xfinity service. All my neighbors had videos of these people who did 32 cars that night. Their videos were nice and crystal clear and I went to mine and my Xfinity didn’t record. For some reason, there was a failure of the system and they weren't hosting the recordings. That was not very good. So, I went with Frontpoint and I put in a fairly expensive system. The reps were very professional when I called. Also, iIt's Alarm.com stuff, so it's okay.

The only thing that I don’t like is its compatibility with other smart home objects. They still have some issues there. But I'm assuming they're gonna get better at that. I use the smartphone feature. I'm trying to monitor the video or just look at the video feed from my phone and there's a huge delay. When I was setting it up, I had a person going standby the back gate. He put his hand on the doorknob to my side garage door, so I could aim the camera. I went up and looked at it. It turns out there's about a 35-second delay the moment the cameras pick it up until it gets back to Frontpoint until it gets to me. So, that means, if somebody’s breaking into my house and they're picking my locks, the latency is huge. I have a gigabit internet fiber optics to every room in my house and 1,000 megabit connection to my house. So, that’s a server issue and that shouldn’t be really the case.

Other than that, I like Frontpoint. I like the fact that they are there. I've already had the home cellular thing go off. My wife was cleaning the panel and she forgot her code. The cops came and while she was terrified, I was really impressed. So, I like the monitoring service. And there are not too many people that are in the monitoring service that do that well. The only time I've had to use that portion of it, they nailed it.

We liked Frontpoint's wireless option. And the first time I spoke to them, they made sure that I knew all the qualifying answers to the questions that I asked. However, they said that right away we would set up with a distress alarm code. That never happened. So, we had to call back and tell them we need a distress code. The other day when Martin had gone to work, he alarmed the alarm, but he put alarmed away. My son and I were still sleeping in the house, and when my son got up to go to school, the camera didn’t detect that there was moving in the house. He made breakfast, walked around the house, and turned on the TV while it was under armed away, and it did not trigger anything like we were told it supposed to do. I had to call them and figure out why the cameras didn’t detect the motion like they told us it was going to do.

Frontpoint's customer service has been good. They walked us through the entire setup. The guy was on the phone with us on every window breaker and glass breaker thing we installed. I love everything about the app. I can see everything, log in, and disarm the alarm. The app is perfect. We had a little bit of issue on the outside camera. Sometimes it picked up and sometimes it didn’t. So, I looked at the thing and I figured it was like a range problem. I switched locations to it and it has worked ever since then. From time to time, it says we're still having trouble, but I think that’s because of the weather.

The cost is decent. We were locked in for $50 a month in a three-year contract. We're thinking about getting a couple of more features added. We have cameras only in two spots and it doesn’t cover the other side of our house or our driveway. So, we are thinking about adding some more cameras. If they don’t charge us more, then that would be good. If it says as long you purchase the cameras outright, we'll still pay it at 50 bucks a month, then we won't have a problem.

We've had an issue at one point in time with a smoke alarm that went off due to some construction but they worked through it, turned the fire department around and handled it from start to finish. We also had one motion sensor that came undone and has fallen off the wall but they sent us new stuff out. It has been a good experience all the way. The installation has been easy as well.

We like all the features of the Frontpoint system. We added the feature of the front door lock and that seems to be working out well. The quality is great and the cost is a little bit adequate if compared with the other systems that are on the market right now. Some of the stuff don't give all the features but for the price advantage that one would get out of the other things minus those features, it's a little bit on the higher end as far as that goes. Overall, we haven't had any issues where we've lost wireless connection. We also have a camera system that we got independent of the Frontpoint. And with the two systems, we're extremely happy.

I was ready to switch to cellular because I wanted to get away from the wired system. I read a lot of online reviews saying that Frontpoint was very good at customer service. Setting up the system was very easy, although I ran into a problem with one of the items that came. There was something wrong with it and I had a hard time communicating with the person on the other end of the phone. It was just a volume thing because I have a hearing impairment and I had asked if I could speak with someone else, but they were really hesitant to switch me over to someone else. So, it was a very long, painful process to go through. Other than that, I had called them one other time and I spoke with someone else entirely, and it was fine.

I had very particular wants and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. The Frontpoint system has more features like the key fob. It is especially nice for another family member that I have living here where they are very uncomfortable with rushing in to get to the keypad in time, whereas, with the key fob, they can do it right from outside the door. The quality of the equipment is good. Being in Canada, they didn’t offer the touchpad and I had to go with an older-looking one, but it's fine. At first I was disappointed, but now, it doesn’t really matter that much. However, because of the US exchange, the monthly cost doubled for me and it is the one thing that might give me a thought that when my contract runs out, I might find some place that is less expensive on a monthly basis.

I feel better having the Frontpoint system. We had a situation with the key fob. It was dark out and it was the first time we used the key fob. At the top of the fob is the locking button and at the opposite end is the panic feature. We had the key fob upside down and we pushed the wrong button. It was set up to phone the house first, then my cellphone second. Nobody was in the house and I did not have my cellphone with me that time. The police were dispatched and they broke the door down. They believed that we were in danger and the response was quick and thorough. That was the first time that ever happened and it was reassuring.

I'm a snowbird so I'm not at my house all the time. I don’t spend five days a month there. Frontpoint's customer service told me their price and what their system does. We then signed up. Our interaction was very brief but we liked it. I set up that system myself and there were no difficulties. I bought a couple of cameras from them right from the get-go so I was able to lock these on. It took a morning to get everything installed. It's just to extend to beyond that which is the difficulty I have. That's one area that maybe Frontpoint should improve on because I'd like to put a few more cameras up there, but I don't know who would install them.

I had ADT which had a contract and I didn't want that. I like the fact that there is no contract that I have to sign with Frontpoint. They are doing the Cloud too so I can see my property any time. Everything is web-based and automated. For an absentee like myself, it's really important to make sure that we can access that system remotely. I use the smartphone features. If there are any triggers, I get an automatic email or text. I like that experience. The application is also in my smartphone so I can look at the cameras. I don’t necessarily have to go to a desktop or laptop to find out. Also, my Frontpoint is on auto pay which is $50 and it's not a huge cost. I just hope that the service that they promised would be worth the money.

The only thing is I haven't spoken to them since I installed the system. I own a company and all the companies that I deal with, from time to time, would give us a call and ask us how everything is going and if we wanna buy more things. Frontpoint could possibly do that because if they did, then I would've called them and said that I needed more cameras and if they could get someone to install them.

For the most part, they were able to fix whatever problem that I was having, versus ADT's reps who were a little bit on the pushier side so I really didn’t like that. I installed the Frontpoint system and it was not as easy as I thought it would be. It said it would take like seven minutes but it took me 20 minutes. But other than that, it was fairly easy. The main thing that I was having trouble with was the door sensors and having that connect to my phone. But it just needed to be tweaked a little bit to sync in. They were able to help me with that and make sure I was going through all the right stuff.

The first month wasn’t the best because I had a defective alarm system. It was waking me up at 8 o’clock in the morning making me think someone was coming in. I live by myself so that was always kind of scary. After about five times of trying to fix that one, they finally replaced it. Since then I haven't really had any issues. For a while my faith with Frontpoint was shattered. After that last time I wanted to get out of the contract. I was done. But unfortunately it was two weeks out of the trial frame.

Trust is hard to get back once it's broken. But I do feel better about it than when I originally just want to get out of the contract. We are on the better path now. Everything that I got is everything that I would need. I feel pretty secure. I also got a pretty good package and good deal. I feel like I'm paying for what I'm getting, which is good. Everything seems to be working fine. So I think it really just was a defective hub.

When we moved from Hawaii to Colorado Springs, I looked at the different security systems for the area. Frontpoint was one of the rated number one security systems so we decided to go with them. Also, their customer service reps were helpful with the information and they didn't call and hound us about getting the system. They gave us a good discount as well.

The instructions that came with the system that we got was good. Setting up the system was easy and the app walked us through any instructions that came in the box. The system has good quality too. We have the doorbell and the indoor living room cameras and they both work well. I don't like that the indoor camera is wired, but it's better than always having to charge it and change it. The app works well also. We paid for the full plan and we're planning on getting a couple more cameras and the automated cameras. I've already recommended Frontpoint to a couple of friends and now they have the same system that we have. We were supposed to get three months free, but they only gave us two, which was fine.

The only feature we had on our previous security system was our door sensors because our motion sensors couldn’t work. It would go off every time our cat would walk by. We would like to have the glass break sensor from Frontpoint. And dealing with their rep was very straightforward and their knowledge on their product seems pretty good. The installation was, overall, easy. There were two issues that we had and their people were able to help us quickly over the phone to get that fixed. And the rest of the installation went fine after that.

Most of the time, I arm and disarm the Frontpoint system from the console, but it’s nice that the smartphone app is available as well. I put in a couple of comments for improvement on their app and one of them was addressed quickly, but they never addressed the other one. If my alarm is not set and then somebody breaks into my house, the alarm is not going to go off. So I was asking them to see if there was a way to set off the alarm right away with the smartphone app and alert the police. But I haven’t had anybody’s response about it.

We're happy with the features that we have on our system. But there are very few options that can synch up with it. It would be nice if there were more compatible video options. Also, the system could definitely be cheaper. There are other security systems out there that are a whole lot cheaper than Frontpoint. Other than that, the quality of the equipment has been good, so far. With Frontpoint, I would probably know more if we had a break-in.

My daughter is going through a divorce and needed a place to be, and we needed a security system because it is a volatile situation. I called several security companies and got it down to two. I read ratings on how dependable a security system was and Frontpoint came out on top. I was frustrated with them when we had an alarm fell off the wall and it started ringing. Because everybody was in a panic situation, we couldn't remember the passcode. If a person can't remember the code, there should be a certain word that could be produced which only that person knows in order to shut off the alarm. Other than that, the features that were offered with the system serves our purpose.

I'd like to expand a bit, particularly with an outside camera but I put it off because as I call them, they try to sell me a whole bunch of stuff. I just want questions answered and how much it would cost then let me think about it. If I ask a question about something, it's like I'm gonna keep getting calls about it and I feel hounded. Also, Frontpoint's cost is a little high. When I compare similar systems, I figure I'm paying $15 more a month than I really should be. We recently also had a few issues with not being able to disarm the system with the phone. Every once in a while, we have a little glitch and that makes a little uneasy. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with Frontpoint and it's something I can depend on 98% of the time.

I work late shift and my wife didn't feel the safest without me here at night. So, she wanted a security system added onto the house. We started looking for one and we went with Frontpoint because of the price. They also ended up giving us a good deal on extra equipment. I had a couple of other prices and offers from other companies at the time but Frontpoint matched them and they were not afraid to make a move to help out.

Their reps were great and helpful, too. I liked talking to them over the phone and they were friendly. When I told them about all my windows and doors, they set me up with a whole system within half an hour. The installation was easy as well. They have a bunch of Youtube videos and an app that has everything set up. You plug in the panel then it connects itself. All the door sensors and window sensors are pre-programmed to the panel. Your account and the cameras are pre-programmed, too. So once you set them up and connect them, they're all ready to go running the app.

I like all the features of our security system. Everything's innocuous in the house. Originally, I was gonna get a touchscreen panel but Frontpoint didn't have that and the guy was certain that the normal push button panels have the same functionality. It does and I like the push buttons a little more than the touchscreen. It also looks good. But the lowest motion sensitivity setting for the doorbell camera is still too sensitive and it picks up cars driving on the road. So in a week, I had 90% of my online storage full. Other than that, the smartphone feature is easy to use and the UI is really nicely designed. I could be at work and I could get on the cameras just within two button presses. Since having the system, my wife feels a lot better about being home at night without me. It's worth it and I've recommended Frontpoint to a friend.

There was a lot of theft going on in the area where we live so we purchased a security system. We got Frontpoint. We're not really happy with the camera, but it was our own fault because we should have gotten more information before we purchased it. But we still have it. The customer service is also great. They go out of their way. When I called quite a bit of times to try to get the camera installed, one rep did like a little ticket and then another gentleman called, which I appreciated because he was honest and he told me, “Let me get someone else to call you because I had more questions about the camera." That stood out to me that his information was correct, because sometimes a lot of people are like, “Oh, we're gonna get someone to call you,” and then nobody followed through and you're just there waiting.

They called when they said they would and gave more information. All the representatives when I called were all very helpful. They have a lot of patience, especially the first one that was trying to help install my garage sensor. He was on the line with me for a long time, and he really was trying to figure out the issues, and was patient. He stood out. I really appreciate the standard that they have for the customer service. It does make a difference in the long run because one satisfied customer means a lot of satisfied customers. I also like how the installation was very self-explanatory, like the steps are numbered. The system gives us a little peace of mind. We like the features of the system. I also couldn't complain about the cost. It was like we pretty much got it for free.

I found one website that listed the 10 best security systems and Frontpoint was in the 10 best because of customer satisfaction. Frontpoint's customer service is great, but there are a lot of issues with the system itself. The amount of money they charge is not worth it with the other systems that I had seen afterward. Now, I'm locked up for three years with the fee. I cannot even access my phone. For $150 bucks, I can buy the equipment in any store, like Costco, and have it on my phone. I also think Frontpoint expanded too quickly. They were hiring too many people without proper knowledge. I had to dismount the whole system twice to return because the person that talked to me said, “Oh, we cannot accomplish that.” When I called back to say, “Okay. How can I return all this back?” They said, “Oh, no, you don’t have to do that. We can accommodate you.” So, it was back and forth for a long time, although every time I called, the people were very nice.

I called five different companies to see who would give me what was more accommodating to me within the price range that we were looking for. I explained that my house was over 100 feet long and it was in a long streak. It wasn’t a square house. I installed the Frontpoint system myself and the process was not difficult, but I had to call three times, which took a lot of time, and they had to go through everything and check every one of the window sensors. Eventually, they had to replace my window sensors four times and they had to give me extra ones because half of my windows were not covered.

They were explaining that if you are coming in through the back of my house, by the time the alarm goes off with the window breaker, it's too late. They had to do a lot of adjustments because, in the beginning, the person that took my order did not take the information correctly or did not know everything that he was supposed to use in houses like mine. I'm dissatisfied with Frontpoint and I would not recommend them, but they always try to accommodate my situation, which not all the companies do.

I wanted to secure my property and I thought Frontpoint was a good deal. The installation went all right and there weren't any major snags. But my dissatisfaction with the product is that there are not enough sensors included to do an adequate job of covering our house. There are more windows and doors that need coverage than what came in the kit that was sent. There are significant gaps in the coverage and Frontpoint should add a lot more sensors for doors and windows.

I addressed the issue with Frontpoint and I waited on a text response. When I didn’t get it, I assumed that they had blown me off. But I found their response in my spam. I have yet to get back to them, though. With my wife, myself, and my mother-in-law being sick, the alarm system is something that was put on the backburner until I have more time. But their customer service seemed to be squared away when I talked to them. But for what I'm paying and what I'm getting, there's a disconnect.

In the end, I went with Frontpoint for their price. Their equipment was also easy to use and they provided monitors, sensors, and cameras. Their reps had been very helpful and patient with me when I spoke with them. When I called to get the system, I talked to their rep about what I needed and he started offering the equipment I needed to install. A package was created and he gave me the deal for the whole thing.

Then I was sent the equipment and I had to install it myself. But the directions were not precise due to me not clearly understanding them. I called their customer service more than once and the experience was long and a bit frustrating. It also worries me a little bit that I might've done something wrong. So, the installation could've been made slightly easier. In fact, that was the main reason why I went with a more traditional security system for my business where I didn't have to do the installation myself. Frontpoint's cost is a little on the high side too, and they could be slightly cheaper.

Other than that, Frontpoint system is good for the home and I've been satisfied with what I got from them. I like its quality and I love its smartphone features. I did not get the fobs, just for the ability to use the smartphone, and I never regretted it. I would also recommend it to those who can figure it out and are more techie than I am but I wouldn't recommend it to my parents because they will never configure it out themselves.

When I dug around and did a little research, Frontpoint is the only company that had the type of cellular technology where a smash and grab can't be done on its system. I had great interactions with their reps so far. I'm not at my place all the time and I wanna control the light system. They stepped me through the process of purchasing a bunch of wireless lamps. They also gave me a break and I didn't have to pay for the shipping. Their pricing is great and the cost is affordable. I looked online and the pricing is so much more expensive with Amazon or searching through Google for them. When I installed the system, I've had no complexity. I'm a tech person, so it was easy to set up. There was one issue where one of the magnets disappeared so they sent me another magnet to replace that one for the one door.

I would like to have the Frontpoint system more integrated like Alexa. I use Alexa inside my house, and I'm not that adept at doing a whole lot of things other than asking for the weather, or how to speak a Spanish word. I have a Spanish word a day. It'd be great if I could enable a system through Alexa, but I'm still using the app. The app is sharp and I like that I can control my lights. Another thing too that I want to have is to be able to turn my heat off and on when I'm not there. I did a little research and Frontpoint doesn't have a lot of the common tools, like Nest, ecobee. There are so many of them that I can hook up in my home, and I can hook up with their security system and control it. But Frontpoint has a small amount of Wi-Fi based thermostats that I can use. That would be a plus too if they could use some of the more commercially affordable Wi-Fi thermostat control. But the app is cool and I like that I can turn it on and set everything off.

    Reviewed Jan. 29, 2019

I have had a very bad experience, both with the technology and then with the customer service at Frontpoint. I did a lot of research before choosing them and am very disappointed in my experience on all levels. When I initially purchased the system I was supposed to receive a touch screen pad. For reasons still unknown to me, I was sent the Simon XT which is the old school analog panel that looks like it came from ADT in the 1990s. I called numerous times to check on the status of the touch screen pad and was told a wide variety of things - it was back ordered, I'm on the list to get one, and then finally that they discontinued it altogether.

All the while, someone who I recommended this system to (prematurely, I might add), signed up for Frontpoint, got put on the wait list for a touch screen pad and got one. So not only was I given the run around on the panel for months, but the technology changed completely making it impossible for this to get resolved. Instead they sent me their new "cutting edge product" the Hub, which is a strange white box with no buttons, no screen and a separate wireless keypad. The Hub is buggy and doesn't have any of the capability of even the most simple of products - lights that change color and a separate keypad might look cool but has 0 functionality.

Theoretically you are supposed to use the app anyway, but the app is also unreliable and clunky. To make matters worse, the Hub repeatedly goes offline for hours at a time and, even when it appears to be functioning it is intermittent in its sensing of doors opening and closing. Quite disturbing for an alarm system! During this process, I have called customer service an unreasonable number of times (and spent a lot of time on hold) for responses like "is there any metal in the room where the Hub is? That's probably causing it." I did humor them and move the Hub away from an HVAC vent because they were convinced that was the problem (which seems absurd) but the problems continued.

Now, I've spent the last month trying to get released from my contract without penalty. Seems like an easy request if only to get me to stop calling them.

They give you the run around on this, too, refusing to let you talk directly to a supervisor. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, a supervisor sent me an email saying that they still think options are available and that they will send me the Simon XT (which, again, is the baseline product model that I never signed up for) or a new Hub (which, I'll pass on after my experience so far).

Alternatively I can either (1) pay out my contract and cancel or (2) transfer the contract to some other poor sucker who wants to deal with this nonsense. I've already spent $400 in equipment and monthly charges for a system that hasn't worked since November, so the idea of paying anything else is sickening. I will also note that I have direct email addresses for 4 Frontpoint employees, including two supervisors, and none of them respond to my repeated emails. I called back again today and was told that they would put in another request for someone to email me back. Apparently customer service is so unimportant to Frontpoint that they can't even be bothered to email, let alone actually calling to address the concerns in real time.

So after 8 months of having this service, my home is not protected (because how can you trust a system that doesn't detect doors opening and closing 30% of the time) and given the interactions that I have had with customer service I have no confidence that I can rely on the company in general. And the resolution is to either take an inferior product that I never signed up for at the beginning or to take a new, buggy product that doesn't have any of the functionality I was expecting when I requested a touch screen monitor right upfront. I feel like this has been a bait and switch. I am very disappointed and, while I never write reviews of services, I felt that it was necessary to put this out there in the hopes of saving someone else the hassle. As I said upfront, I did a lot of research and it still didn't prevent me from choosing this company so I am hopeful my experience can help others.

Their customer service was excellent and the reps were courteous. Whenever I called, they picked it up immediately. They went through the process and helped me out. They were very clear as far as what they were talking about and things got done fast.

The installation of the system was as easy as one, two, three. It was really just knowing where I wanted to put their system. As far as the place, it was just putting a sticky in the back of the device and sticking it against the wall. There are no wires. The main panel was the same way. I plugged it in, and everything worked. I had to customize my package. I told Frontpoint what I needed because I already had a security system and I just wanted to revise it. I took my ADT system out. I knew exactly where I wanted the sensors to be and how many sensors I needed.

With Frontpoint, they give the remote access ability which is a great thing. This morning, I forgot to put the alarms on. As soon as I got in my car, I put it back on. I know other people offered that too, but we had a lot of interruption before. This one with Frontpoint is a satellite connection so I never have any problems. It was a la carte so I got what I needed and they seemed to have everything everybody else does – your standard stuff up through cameras or the doorbell cam if you need those. I wish I didn't have to do the installation myself though. It wasn't difficult. You just stick the things on. But you have to do everything yourself. It was tedious and time-consuming. Someone else could have come in and done it a lot quicker. But then again, I didn't have to pay an installation fee. That aside, the cost seems in line with everybody else. The saving was really just in the equipment in the end.

On the other hand, I’m not really a big fan of the actual wall mount. It's kinda difficult to use. One thing is that there aren't clear instructions on how to use it. It took me a long time to figure out just how to to turn the time down. It's all push button too. It's not digital. The display is digital but it's a little outdated. It was the cellular network that I found very appealing. It's another layer of protection. That was a big selling point for me, along with the app. Everyone has an app now. But I really like Frontpoint’s. It’s very nice. There are still some things that they can add to it, like emergency buttons. You have your emergency feature on the keypad but of course, the keypad is in one room. It would be nice to have an emergency feature in your phone, on the app. But I like the ease of use. Even my kids can use it. There are colors, pictures and shapes. It's very clear what the buttons do. I feel like I can give it to my grandma and she can figure out how to use it.

We had a break-in and decided to get a home security system. We went with Frontpoint due to what they were offering and they said that their system is wireless. We had good interactions with the customer service reps at Frontpoint. They offered to send us some of the things that we needed at no cost because we didn’t get enough. When their guy was here, we ended up needing more sensors. The installation of the system was easy and good. And then with Frontpoint's smartphone feature, I like that if I forget to set the system, I can do it from my bedside.

I looked at Frontpoint's reviews and thought it might be a good decision to go with them. The installation of the system was fine. And while I’m seeing some other systems that are less expensive, overall, what I have is working fine.

Someone had broken in and stole some stuff. I’ve had a security system in the past, but I wanted something that has more cameras and stuff. I really like our Frontpoint security system. But when I was installing the window monitors, part of the setup is you have to open and close the window, and those windows don’t open. So, they did not get turned on, so I’m not getting full benefit of them. I spoke with somebody about it, and they said, “Well, that’s just the way it is.” And they didn’t really help me much with that.

Frontpoint's representatives were willing to help me and they tried to kinda walk me through, but they didn’t understand what I was trying to tell them. They said, “You have this and this and this turned on,” and I said, “Yes, I didn't understand that.” But the ones on the windows are not on. And some of those ones in the windows are protecting an entire room. Also, on my end, I could’ve tried to explain something to them more about what I was needing, but I was pressed for time as well at the time.

Other than that, our system's features are great. I accidentally set it off this last summer when I forgot and went in through the back door to get something. And my monitor was in the front room. The room’s kind of isolated because I have a lot of stuff stored in there. I’m doing remodeling in there, so it took me a while to get there. So, the police showed up. It worked out.

Frontpoint has better reviews online, so I wound up with them. They are also more convenient. Prior to them, I had Xfinity. I switched my cable service, and keeping the security system alone was gonna be expensive without the other things, so I had to find another security system. The installation was okay. I had to pay attention a little bit as it was not super easy, but it was workable. I did it in bits and pieces, for maybe an hour. The system is a little better and more sophisticated. The reps I dealt with were also okay. We still need to apply for the permit, but everything is good.

I was new to the house and needed a security system. I got tired of the old wired ADT system that I used to have and so I wanted to try something new. The Frontpoint system was easy to set up. They send you the equipment and you just stick it on and go. So, the installation was very simple and I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for someone to come out and do it for me. I just had to buy the equipment upfront, so there was that cost.

While the system has worked well, one negative is that all the sensors run off batteries and eventually those batteries drain. When that happens, it can set off the alarm. Also, the garage sensor came unstuck one time, fell on the floor, and set the alarm off. But those things are easily remedied. Other than that, everything about the user-interface has been easy to use and the customer service has been good too. When the alarm went off a couple of times, the Frontpoint team was right on it, calling up and sending out the police when I didn’t have the right password.

Recently, I opened a new shop and had the newer Frontpoint system put up. There seems to be a big difference between the Frontpoint system in the house and the one in the shop. The newer system has more functionality and a lot of it is configurable. From my application, its features are good. I keep the smart features simple, so my wife and I are on the same page most of the time, and the functions that I’ve been using are all intuitive. But I have to call the reps to do certain things now with my newer system that they didn’t have to do on the older system. It's fine and not that big of a deal, though, as long as these can get done. When I had a lot of questions about the newer system, the reps were always very good about answering them all for me.

I did some research and I looked at all the other options. Frontpoint provides a lot more equipment upfront at a much lower cost. The start-up cost is minimal and the monthly payments are pretty equitable across the board. Their technology is very good too. They made a convincing point that their system cannot be deactivated versus the competition. If you're paying this kind of money, you want a system that is fool-proof, that cannot be deactivated even if power goes out or if it is tampered with.

Frontpoint's sales team is very involved, and if and when you get their support service people on the phone, they're extremely helpful. The difficult part is that the customer service they provide in terms of hours of service is somewhat limited, and it's somewhat difficult to get someone on the line. They should really consider providing 24/7 technical support, but instead it's cut off after 10 PM or 11 PM Eastern, which is less than ideal. That's the only drawback and something that I would improve.

The installation went okay, but there should be more work involved on behalf of Frontpoint to better understand the constraints of a home and provide the right type or set of equipment the first time and get it right the first time. For example, I have the main house and then there's an in-law suite that’s about 10 feet away from the house, but it's under the lanai. A lanai or protected patio is like a framed netting that goes around the outdoor part of the house, and there's a distance from that suite that I'm trying to protect to the main panel. I explained that in the beginning but still, what they sent me was not the right type of sensor. I tried that sensor to see if it would work and when it didn’t, I had to send it back and I got charged for it, and then I had to wait for the refund. That was really annoying. Getting the right sensor took a number of trials and it became a hassle.

They should also have the ability or the option to say that if it doesn't work the first time, maybe they should try to cure it with some troubleshooting. They should probably say that they will send the technician, which is similar to what other service providers do. The features offered in the system are great but Frontpoint needs to work on making sure that what you can do on the website, can also be done on the app. Although as a whole, the app is fine, it needs to be empowered a bit more. The video limit on the camera and the doorbell is a pain. If you set it to a bit too sensitive, they could set off very quickly. Then you're gonna get the notices that you're at a max video capacity and you have to go back and delete all these videos. Maybe Frontpoint could do something to either increase video capacity or change the technology.

We have set off the alarm a couple of times and I knew about it because I receive the phone call. The only issue we have is that using the app, it wouldn't communicate with the system, like I wouldn't arm. That was a strange issue and it happened for a bit of time. They sent me another chip or another card to put into the panel, but the issue just went away in itself although I don't think I changed anything. There are minor hiccups that one can live with and Frontpoint still has got some work to do, but they're definitely a good provider.

Frontpoint had a high rating so I got them as my security provider and it has all been really good. They were very efficient, informative, and helpful when I was setting the system up. They simply picked me through it. The only problem I had was when I had to configure it to work on my Wi-Fi. That was a little bit more of a struggle. When the instruction said, "Connect to the Wi-Fi," it didn't really say you had to connect to the Wi-Fi. But the tech support was able to help me.

The smart phone features is easy to use. The only thing that I probably would've wish they had an option for is I pay for monitored service, and I don't think I'll ever arm my alarm. It's not what I wanted. So I pay for a service that I don't use. I asked them about that but it didn't seem like that was an option. It's like it's the only cheapest package I could get.

My wife and I were moving into Virginia from Washington, D.C. and we were having our first child. It was going to be our first home with a new baby and we wanna make sure that we were protected. We shopped around with different companies and Frontpoint was very well rated online from consumer websites. I like that the Frontpoint system is based on a cellular connection, so it's very hard to break in to and cut off the power supply of the system. My customer service experience was really good. I called a couple times to get some information and the people there were very polite and responsive.

The rep told me that we could try their system in our home for a certain period of time, risk-free. It was nice to be able to have that time period. The rep also talked about the layout of the house, the windows, the doors, the point of entry, and then we came up with a good package to start with. I called a few weeks after and got a few more sensors that might add some more security to the different points of entries. They were able to provide those at no cost. It was part of the start-up plan. They sent us the structure of the house, and I was able to get the system all up and running. I called back their customer service to ask the rep a question about how to change a sensor or where to move it. I also asked a couple of other questions during the installation and they were able to help me out. My experience with that was fine. I consider myself to be a handy guy. It would be easy for anyone to set the system up.

Everything with the equipment is well-made. At one point, my wife shut the sliding door too hard and one of the sticky sensors fell. I just pressed the sensor back there, and it hasn't come back off since. There were a couple of times where I tried to test the system in terms of opening the door to see if the alarm would go off on the phone using the app and it has all been straightforward and good.

We have just opened up our business and we wanted a security system right before we moved in. The Frontpoint rep that I spoke with was pretty informative. He ran me through the differences among SimpliSafe, ADT, Brinks, and Frontpoint. He also pointed out that the Frontpoint control panel has a thing on its own, so if someone comes in and smashes the control panel, it will still send a signal out compared to the other places that don’t. It was one of the key features that caught my attention.

I did the installation and it was really easy, although I had some trouble syncing the door things. I called the number and they were able to sync it for me. The app feature is probably the best feature of it because we don’t touch the control panel very often. It’s pretty cut and shoot, and it’s really straightforward. The Frontpoint system has everything I really need. We have an intensive security system, so having a monitor alarm is exactly what we needed. The cost of the Frontpoint system is also pretty fair. We have really big front windows and it’s sensitive. We’ve had a few birds fly straight into the window and the system sends us a monitored alert, so we are satisfied with how sensitive it is. I’ve also gotten great customer service out of Frontpoint. When I wasn’t looking for something, they’d reach out to me.
