I bought a home security system back in November for the safety of our family knowing what is going on after moving to a new area. The reviews from other consumers made us decide to do Frontpoint. They work well with our mobile carrier and their price is fair. They have great customer service. Although I had to figure out and do the installation myself, it was relatively easy. The hardest part was figuring out the doorbell -- getting that to work with our wireless router. The system's features were nice. I still have to figure out our little home base station a little bit like when it doesn't take a picture if someone deactivates the alarm. Overall, I feel at ease because I could see who is coming onto our property since I live in a new home.

I got Frontpoint's service for a remote vacation home as I won't be there all the time. I purchased the security system package and was able to customize and add some things to it. I used to have another provider but their technology wasn’t available to connect my phone. So, I appreciate the remote connectivity that Frontpoint has. They have good smartphone features and the overall quality of the equipment is fine. However, I've had one of the sensors falling off the door. I also had a little difficulty during installation at first, which was frustrating, but I got some assistance and it finally worked. The monthly cost of the service is a bit pricey but it's comparable with the other ones out there. Some type of volume discount on the number of sensors would have been good though.

We just bought a house, so I wanted to have a security system. I talked to a guy from Frontpoint on the phone and then they mailed me all the stuff out. I'm paying the monthly fee, but I'm not using the system because I have to pay $20 to a courthouse, and they never sent me the form, so I don’t know what's going on. They also sent me a doorbell, which I cannot use because we don’t have a doorbell installed. They're just in a box charging me $50 a month. I don’t really need maximum security. I need to downgrade my plan because the house is always occupied.

I’ve used Frontpoint before so I went with them over other companies. They just mailed the equipment to me and the installation was very easy. I just put it up with a double stick tape and it was done.

I wanted a home security system for the obvious reason of security and since Frontpoint had the best reviews, I went with them. When I was setting it up, everybody was really nice. Their customer service reps were really helpful and answered all my questions. I installed the system myself. It was easy and didn't take that long. Plus, the instructions were easy to follow. I added some features since I have a large house. The features are good and I like them. Moreover, their smartphone features work fine. It’s a good system and I feel better having it. It's worth the cost.

When I moved, I decided to get a different company so I checked out different things and Frontpoint made the list. So far, I'm never gonna be happy with the cost. It's expensive for a monitoring service. The one I was looking was a lot less money, but it wasn’t secure. But they made corrections, and if their corrections made their system secure now, they would be good because they have no contract, and their monthly fee was less. Moreover, the stuff that Frontpoint sent to put on the walls doesn’t stick to the walls down here in Florida. They keep falling off. Mine is not like a smooth drywall, so it doesn’t get the adhesion so I bought my own stuff the other day. Other than that, while the communication is a little bit slow, it always gets resolved. I'd tell friends that Frontpoint would be in the top three.

We didn't like the home security system that was already in the house. We had to replace it. The interaction we had with the reps from Frontpoint was great. They were always available for tech support, installation, and everything else. And the installation was easy. Frontpoint is mostly a self-install but it can be as guided as you want it to be. If you feel you're stuck at any point, you can immediately contact someone through their app and do tech support and other customer service stuff. Also, the quality of the system is great. It does what it's supposed to do well and I use the smartphone features every day.
The hardware could probably do with a little bit but that's probably a cost-saving thing. I'm not mad about the price because we got it for Black Friday so it was really cheap, but the LCD screen could do with probably a couple years more updated. Their CO2 detectors are connected to the fire department, which is great. The fire alarm notifies the main unit which will, in turn, notify EMS but it would be nice if they were furnished. You get two detectors that look like hockey pucks with a double-sided tape that you slap on the ceiling wherever you want, which is nice. But it would be nicer if there was an option to choose from a detector that could actually fit. Also, a lot of homes have hard-wired smoke detectors, so there are stuff on the ceiling where you can hard-wire in a power source. It would be nice if there was option for that, as well, rather than just sole battery tower. Other than that, it's fine. My sense of security is great because of the system.

I'm away on business quite a bit and my wife and I had a 14-month old. I did some research online and had some friends in our neighborhood that had Frontpoint. I liked their service so I went with them. My experience with them has been great, so far. The rep I initially spoke with on the phone was very helpful and our interaction was very easy. The call lasted for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then, the stuff arrived by mail.
I have a different framework around my windows, so a lot of the window sensors wouldn't work. I had to make some adjustments and put them on some different areas, just for the fact that that didn't have enough space. It's probably something they don't run into very much. Also, the crown molding that surrounds my doors and windows have some of the different edges to them, which makes putting the sensors on difficult. Even so, I am happy with the package that I have. The cost of the system is also fair.

I cancelled this service 1.5 years ago. They continue to call me and email me asking for payment after I've (nearly 10 times) told them I cancelled it 1.5 years ago. They continue to demand payment and are threatening to turn me over to collections. I told them go ahead and they still continue to ask for payment and threaten to turn me over to collections. I haven't lived at the address they are requesting payment for, for nearly 2 years. This is the most unorganized company I have ever dealt with. I don't want the service, don't need the service, have sold my equipment, and asked them to STOP CONTACTING ME. PLEASE STOP HARASSING ME.
My next step is to file a restraining order. I've already contacted my banks to confirm they can no longer draft money from my account. I'm in the process of getting my account credited back the money they continued to draft out even though I hadn't been at that address for over a year. BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD COMPANY. I Highly recommend to not use them. They could have left me alone and kept my $1000 they drafted out of my account without me noticing, but now I'm getting upset that they keep contacting me. It NEVER STOPS. Find a new customer!!! Go do some sales calls! Quit trying to gain money from someone who does not want your service or product!!!

We live on a major highway and pretty easy access if somebody were to come check out what we had. Our neighbors across the road had gotten robbed, and my wife and I both work. Choosing Frontpoint was a kneejerk decision combined with a couple of reviews I saw on a Google search. I didn’t do a lot of research and there wasn’t a lot of initiation or setup fees involved. Pro and con, it was self-installation versus having someone come out. I saved a buck there, but at the same time, I didn’t know if I got the best deal or not or if I did it right because I’m not an expert. I was not really happy with the installation. I still got a motion detector that doesn’t work, and there was no instruction on how to hook up. And my doors are kinda different. We have a lot of molding, so everything didn’t really fit right. And I would’ve gone ahead for somebody come do it, but at the same time, I get what I pay for.
I didn’t like that the smartphone feature wasn’t offered in the basic package. That should be a one-month price. To me, being able to control the system from my phone should be one of the most basic things that Frontpoint offers. If I don’t have that information, I'd get a delay if the police were to call me. With technology nowadays, it’s second nature to be able to do it from your phone, and the fact that I had to pay extra for that was just a little bit annoying. I did the one-level upgrade with my package to be able to have the smartphone features. I’ve got three children that I get ready every morning and take to school and I’m rushed to get out the door on the way to work. And still, after having it as long as I have, I don’t remember to set the alarm. So, there’s a reminder on the app that goes off 8:15 right before I leave the house and reminds me to turn it on. And so, I always turn it on from my phone. I never set the alarm from inside.
We had an incident where I possibly didn’t shut the door all the way and it opened, but I was notified by the app. And very shortly, I got a phone call from Frontpoint and they notified authorities. I was pleased and mostly that I made a mistake and didn’t get robbed, so the system works great. But I wish there was an option to have a loudspeaker to go off, so somebody knows it when they hear it beep inside. A siren going off outside would alert people to look at the house. I’m 100 yards off the road but I have enough neighbors whose attention will be attracted by a siren going off in the driveway. My in-laws live across the highway too, so if they heard it, my father-in-law would be over here with a gun in 30 seconds. I would like that, but that’s not offered. My interaction with the reps was very minimal, but they seem helpful. After the time where I left the door open, I feel confident in Frontpoint's feedback so I am a little bit more comfortable.

We used ADT in the past. Since Jack is on the road most of the time and we have three kids, he had not felt very safe with ADT. He wanted something that was more timely and secure. He likes that Frontpoint has the sensors on every door and the glass shatter. And since we’ve used it, we have found that the responsive time is incredible. We installed the system ourselves and it was super easy. Sometimes, I forget to disarm the system when I open the garage door and it’s within seconds that my phone rings. Frontpoint calls immediately asking if everything is okay. Also, we love the features of the system, and we mostly use the smartphone feature. Frontpoint has everything that we need for our home and if we wanted to add anything, it has everything available. The cost is affordable and totally worth it.

I needed a home security system and I researched and compared reviews of different providers. Frontpoint came as the best one and I liked the fact that I can arm it and manage it from my cell phone and it's wireless. The representatives at Frontpoint were very professional and understanding and they answered any questions I had. They were also very knowledgeable of their material, so it was a good interaction. The installation of the system was very simple. It came in a box and it showed exactly what I would do. It did not even take 10 minutes to set everything up. The cost in relation to the quality of the system is good. I haven’t found one that can beat them yet and I have plenty of offers others try to give me to convert over, but I'm comfortable with Frontpoint and their services.
The features are very good, although it would be better if it had cameras. Also, I was off on the password and the cop showed up a couple of times. There should be an alternate question, like the last four of my Social or a secondary question instead of automatically saying, “Okay. You're hanging up,” and before calling the cops. And the system is very sensitive. This morning, my wife woke up saying that somebody tampered with the system. It was my fault because I didn’t replace the 3M tape on the back. I just picked it up for my new home and one of the motion sensors had fallen down, so I replaced the tape with a different tape. But it definitely let us know exactly what time and what was going on. I'd recommend Frontpoint and I'd let my friends know anything that ever happened. Within 10 seconds, their phone is gonna ring and somebody is probably gonna be on the way. It's very secure and easy to set up and the people there are very friendly.

My wife wanted a home security system. I looked at some online reviews and Frontpoint was the best choice. I originally bought it for my first home and now, this is my second home with it. It was a good experience the first time around and then we did it again. After learning about it on our first home, we customized the package for our second home. We knew how many motion detectors to get, then we got the door sensors and the video doorbell. The price was reasonable as well. The installation was easy. I was just on the phone with them and they walked me through. They also did a little bit through the internet and the app. It was simple.
The features of the system are fine and I don't think there’s anything else I would be looking for. I’m having a little problem with my doorbell camera but I haven't had the time to deal with it. But just in terms of it being engaged, I’d probably just have to go into the app. The camera stopped taking the pictures because every time the wind would blow, it would capture photos, and I have filled up the memory, then it shut down somehow. But other than that, the smartphone features work well and everything is good. There have been no break-ins and no alarms and I have a positive experience. Also, I’ve already recommended Frontpoint to others.

However, it was difficult trying to get the cameras to function and do it online. We worked with them for a long time but it's working now. Also, my smartphone feature doesn't work. I haven't called Frontpoint because I've just gotten back from a month away. Nevertheless, the quality of the system is fine. I feel comfortable having the system.

Everything at Frontpoint was great except the sensors. They were going off all the time. I thought it was gonna be a quick fix but it wasn’t. And I don't know if they were sensitive, like they just had to be aligned appropriately, but if the door was open, it wouldn't ring off on the monitor and would read shut and when it was closed, it would read open. That wasn't the whole problem though since I have little ones. Every time I hear the chirp, I'm like maybe my daughter is outside or someone is coming in. And I couldn't trust the chirp because sometimes it would chirp when the door opens, sometimes it wouldn't.
I called Frontpoint's customer service twice. The first time I called, it was 8 PM and that was the time it started chirping out of nowhere. They walked me through the problem but it took them two hours. The problem when I called was the height. That it wasn’t tall enough, So I had to adjust one and leave the other one attached. But once you stick the extra adhesives that are given to adjust the sensors they're there forever. We had to grab a butter knife to literally scrape it off, and then replace the foam adhesive, place the sensor, and align it. We then made sure that everything was functioning. However, my husband was complaining a lot about it. So, I called and told them I'm still having problems. I said that since I was still within the 60-day trial, I'm gonna cancel the service.

I used to have Protect America and I wasn't happy with their service. One building was 100 yards from the main house and they told me that they did not have anything that would work on both of them at the same time so I had to have two systems. I was paying twice until I found out that that wasn’t true and I got robbed and lost a lot although the insurance covered everything. And I never could get the second system up and running properly.
I researched Frontpoint a little bit. I called them and talked to a salesperson. The setup was really smooth and the guys handled it way better than Protect America. Everything is on one system now so when I arm my system, it covers both of them at the same time, which I’m happy with. I still wish that I could put door sensors in the shop. All I have is the motion and if the system goes off at the second location, then I wouldn't know about it because no alarms go off. As for the equipment's quality, it's the same thing as what I had as far as it’s made by GE. Frontpoint has the same exact equipment so I couldn't really complain about it.
Another thing is, at my house, all I have is a Jetpack and it works off Verizon’s wireless. But I don’t have high-speed internet other than what that Jetpack does, so my cameras don’t work properly. I could tell if my cameras are working by the lighting on them. Most of the lights on the front of the unit is red. But other than getting online and looking to see what’s going on, they don’t really help with the security anyway. Overall, I'm happy with the system. When I arm it, it works. When I disarm it, it works also. I have recommended them to a friend.

My Frontpoint security system is good, so far. We had some kids go around opening sheds and seeing what was available for them to steal. I used ADT before using Frontpoint and the two companies are like night and day. I hate ADT and I have no issues with Frontpoint. The customer service at Frontpoint was pleasant. The installation was simple and it literally took 15 minutes. I’m not a tech-savvy person and I did the installation myself and that meant a lot. I called the reps, they walked me through the process and they told me to turn one equipment on. Once I installed that one, they told me to install the other one. And once I set everything up, that was it. The only thing I don’t like is the sticky system. Some of it has been bulky and sometimes I’ve had to replace the double stick tape. I found one on the floor already but that was the only negative. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend Frontpoint.

We were in Jersey and I needed a security system for our house in Texas. My nephew told me about Frontpoint and how I would be able to do things online. But initially, there was some confusion about how late customer service was available. We had issues putting the system up ourselves and we had been told that customer service would be available 24/7 but we found that not so much for the tech end. We were only there for a certain amount of time and we had to go. I was disappointed that we were given the wrong information or maybe we misunderstood. I was ready to scream and look for another company at that point.
Their rep also made it sound like installing the system was very simple. It's probably perfect for a newer place where everything is plush and you don't have a lot of wood trim but we have an old house with lots of framing. So it was a bit of a challenge. But once we were able to get a hold of someone in the tech end, they were able to help us out. We were able to finally got it done on my second visit.
Otherwise, everything seems to be working okay. I like having the ability to go online and see what has and has not been opened. In that sense, I'm happy with the system. The cost is okay too, and I considered using them for another house that I had in California. But I'm not good at putting that kind of stuff up so I went with another company. I don’t like that Frontpoint doesn't have someone who can come and put things up. There were also other issues in trying to get somebody to do it and it didn't have to be licensed. It was a mess. If you're not good tech-wise, don't even bother with Frontpoint. Just go with another company that'll come and put the stuff up.

I like that Frontpoint has a cellular connection so it's not a cable, and nobody can come and cut the connection. And the cellular connection is not mine, it's theirs, which makes it a little bit more secure. But the one thing that I didn't care for was the three year commitment but I understood that it was pretty normal with most services. And I got a discounted rate with the equipment, so it cost about $99 down for the equipment and then the monthly fee. It's affordable, and the customer service is very cooperative and very friendly. They're very attentive and very on point. Tech is always there to answer questions no matter how minute or simple the questions may seem to them, but it's not simple to me. I really appreciate their patience and their ability to educate their consumer.
I did the installation of the home alarm system myself but I had a tech person on the line the whole time, which was what Frontpoint recommended. Frontpoint gave a set of directions and if I had any questions, I could just call tech and somebody from there would talk to me. And they literally did that. They stayed on the phone with me, even if it took an hour just to make sure that everything was functioning properly.
I can access the system from my phone and one that's a little annoying is the fact that the app sometimes acts up. So sometimes I have to remove and uninstall and reinstall the app. And then sometimes it's a little bit delayed, but it could be based on my wireless connection too. But Frontpoint did give a warning that the app would not always function. Other than that, I'm relatively pleased with how everything is working. If I have a problem, they just work overnight something. Like when I had a sensor that needed to be replaced, they literally overnighted the sensor.

We finished building a new house and it's a couple hours away from our main house. When I initially did my research, Frontpoint's technology was better and they didn’t have a three year contract. I stuck with it when I was ready to buy something nine months later. I called them and it was simple over the phone. I was online looking at what I thought I needed and they confirmed it and set me up quick. It was self-install and it would have been easier if I would have been smarter. I had some problems with one of the door sensors so I called in and they were able to help me. I had one on backwards, so it was easy to fix. And while not having any experiences, the features seemed adequate. I like the smartphone features and I can re-arm the system from two hours away, which is nice, and then disable it if I need to. And it's been helpful.

My daughter recommended Frontpoint because she had it first. Also, they are totally wireless, so I went with them. Installation was pretty much a no-brainer and the instructions were very self-explanatory. Frontpoint is very fairly priced, and everything works well. It is definitely competitive with everybody else out there, but it has better features than most other companies -- ADT just is not close as far as the actual operation of the system. Aside from Frontpoint, I still have a Samsung system that I put together. If I have an issue at home, I have to go and monitor my Samsung system versus the Frontpoint system.
Their reps were really good, too. The only issue I’ve had is with a lot of connection errors. I have issues on the phone notifications where it says that it has not communicated for over 24 hours. I contacted them and they fixed it once. However, now we are having it again, and I haven’t got back with them yet. I know it is a programming issue and I'm not worried about it. When I talked to them the last time, they said that even though it was reading an error, it only came up on my wife’s phone and not on mine. They said, it was still connected and it was still reading the system. It was just a message that came for no reason. Still, I have already expanded the system once by adding more monitor devices and cameras since the initial installation and I might expand it again down the road.

There were some videos available online that I was able to check so I could do the installation myself, and it was fairly easy. The cost is definitely better than the other vendors out there, especially with their cellular option. I had ADT earlier and for a cellular option, they wanted an additional 12 bucks a month. Frontpoint includes that, so I'm happy. I would definitely ask my friends to go ahead and sign up with Frontpoint.

My son recommended Frontpoint and the only thing that's nice with my system is with my camera setup, I could turn the camera on and look at my room when I'm in Florida. It cost $800 to get the system hooked up and I still don’t have a camera. The salesman told me I could do the installation in a half hour and that there are detailed instructions. They were ridiculous and the installation instructions are horrible. I had a doorbell moved to another area so the camera could fit in. The wires were running all over the place and I had to hire an electrician to put it in. Frontpoint should have longer wires available and small wires that go from the back of the camera to a small hole through the wall instead of a short wire. I spent more on that than I did on the system.
Also, there were absolutely no instructions on what level to put a motion detector on, whether if it's high or is it in recourse looking a window up and coming in low. If the landscaper goes by 40 feet in front of my house, it says the detected movement. However, the movement is not by the door. It's quite a distance away. A placement of the various instruments like the glass breaking movement detection should be specified how high they should be from the floor or how far from the window and from where in the room.
Some of the ones advertised on television for $200 will come with everything or much better. And other companies advertise that the equipment and the installation are for free. The texts in the instructions were good but I had to call like 50 times. All of the technicians are great but they still have to call, hit a specific number and wait for somebody to call. A couple of times, it was like 20 hours before you could get through because of some problem with the computer.
It cost me over $1600 to get the whole system and I don't know if it works. There's no alarm so unless somebody calls the police if somebody broke in and since nobody broke in yet, I don’t even know if the police would come. At least 30% of the time when I initiate a check, the system would say that my cameras are offline so I had to go through troubleshooting which would take a minute or two. By the time I get it to look at the doorbell camera, whoever might have been there, I couldn't see. And then it needs for the technicians to redo it. Something is screwed up. Also, if the electricity goes off, the system's battery could only last for an hour and that's ridiculous because that's when people would rob a house.

I was a first-time home buyer and I saw online that Frontpoint had a lot of good reviews. So I had done a bit of research, but they also made the process easy and that was why I went with them. When I initially reached out to get a quote, I had someone call me within five minutes and help me through the process. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. And even when I was gonna look at some other options, he was able to talk about how Frontpoint compares to other vendors in the marketplace. Ultimately, I've been really happy with the service and I think he was right.
The installation process was seamless and easy, and the instructions were straightforward. The only thing was that I had one item that was broken. But I called them and they shipped me a brand-new one the following day so they fixed it immediately. What I got is the introductory-level service and for what I purchased, the system is all-encompassing. I really like the app on my phone. It keeps me up-to-date so it’s helpful. I also use it primarily as the way I lock and unlock the house, and I really like that feature. That was also one of the reasons I went with Frontpoint. Aside from that, they are extremely responsive as well. They call me if there's ever an issue or an alert at home. It's been a great experience so far and the system is worth the money.

We purchased a new home so we decided to purchase a home security system. When I called Frontpoint and initially signed up, the representatives were very responsive. They answered all my questions, reassured me and provided me excellent customer service. The promotional package which I signed up was great. And the reps weren’t pressuring me any time when I signed up to ensure that I signed up. I've been to many sales pitches and talked to people. I talked to one company that I have been researching and I received numerous phone calls days after. That was a bit annoying. My intent was to obtain knowledge and gather information and I had a clear idea that I wanted them. Once we started talking, that company did everything they can to not leave or hang up without getting my business. I did not experience that with Frontpoint.
I took a couple of steps further than the standard package for what I wanted to put in my particular home. Frontpoint accommodated that even with the promotional package. They included additional things that I desired and made it easier to sign with them. Also, I like the features of the smartphone. It's responsive. Frontpoint’s installation was great. Any questions or concerns I had, the installers reassured me and was very, very patient. Everything about the system is what I asked for in terms of what I wanted for my house and family. Since having Frontpoint, it provided an additional comfort. We also realize that it is a security system and if somebody really wanted to do something, we have measures to handle that. But in terms of why we pay for a security, they provide that security and comfort. I'm a happy customer and I already have a good comparison even if Frontpoint is the only system I've ever used.

I had ADT prior to using Frontpoint. The two are really comparable but I was looking for some ways to save on the monthly monitoring. And Frontpoint would be able to provide that, so I switched. The reps at Frontpoint were pretty helpful in the sense that they relieved some of the stress from switching over. Even though I was still under my old contract, they were able to work something out where we wouldn't be billed for the first few months to help compensate some of that loss by terminating early. That was awesome. We just need the basic monitoring, so I like what we have now. It was nice having the remote access feature, but since we were trying to save money, we did not really see any point in keeping it.
The installation of our system was very straightforward and all the directions that came with it were easy to follow. Though the quality of the equipment, overall, is fine, I had a minor issue with the keypad itself that has the voice-over intercom telling you 'armed' and stuff. From my research, it seems like Frontpoint changed the model of that component. It used to be of better quality but now the speakers seem to have some static in it. The cost is probably with what you are getting. As far as response time, if you have an accidental trip, Frontpoint calls immediately, whereas, with ADT, I would have to wait a few minutes.

The Frontpoint security system is a cellular network and not a hotwired system, so my husband chose to go with it when we purchased a new home. The self-install of the system was an easy step-by-step process. But the smart panel we got was quite big and was taking up quite a bit of space because we had to put it on our furniture. Other than that, everyone we dealt with was very nice and helpful. We never had any complaints with anybody nor any trouble getting anything we needed out of them. We had to contact customer service when we set the doorbell camera up and then a second time when we changed the modems and it wasn’t working again, and they said they would send us an adapter to fix the issue. That was probably one of the easiest transactions that we had dealt with. Their customer service is on point every time and we’ve enjoyed the Frontpoint system.

My wife and I have always wanted a home security system and now that we have two young kids and my wife stays at home, it felt like it was time. I did a ton of research on which companies are the best and read reviews. We were looking at Frontpoint and a couple companies like Abode and Descend. Frontpoint had the best deal and still rates as one of the best so that was why I went with them. Their price was competitive and the Black Friday deal was amazing. It was 60% off the advertised price and the monthly cost is $50. I called Frontpoint and the sales rep was really good and answered all my questions. I asked them how many units or sensors are needed and based on the layout of my house, they told me I did not need that much. That was pretty cool because they could have easily made some money. We went online and paid for our purchase.
For the installation, they sent me a box with instructions and they were all super easy. We got a couple of motion detectors that I put on the walls, and then there is a sensor on the door. I literally asked them and they told me what to do. They were all done with 3M adhesive. Setting up the lines that hold the base was easy as I just plugged it in and then I called and let them know to activate it.
The doorbell camera was the hardest to install because I had to use a hardware and had to screw it in and have a drill, but it was not that bad. I had a couple of issues installing stuff where I could not figure it out and I called them at Ace and they walked me through it. And then finally, I had to click a button that tests the system and it told me that it was done with the setup. I was having issues with the doorbell camera so I called and they sent me a new one and it worked. They got here in a day. All my interactions have been amazing and super-fast.
The Frontpoint system comes with everything I want. The indoor camera is nice and cool. If I get a notification that something was detected or the alarm went off, I could easily go on my phone and look it up. Or if someone rings the doorbell it would notify me so I can talk through the phone instead of having to answer. Frontpoint gives me peace of mind and it is good for me knowing that my wife and kids are home and they do not have to go answer the door. I love the quality of the equipment, but the home base could be a little better. If the doorbell rang you could see the images of the doorbell on that home base.
I definitely feel more secure with the Frontpoint system. Before I'm just unknowing when I miss a phone call from my wife but now, I could easily see if she’s okay, so it’s great. Sometimes when I forget to turn off the alarm and the alarm goes off, it sucks but it is also good knowing that it is okay. I will tell my friends to get the Frontpoint system. It might be better to have someone come install it for you, but you will have the same results.

There was also an issue with the control panel but they got it handled very quickly. I'm happy with them.

I've had a home security system for quite some time and I used ADT for a number of years. We had a landline that was used for communication, but we decided to disconnect the landline and move strictly to mobile. When I researched various companies, Frontpoint had a good clean solution and the price was right. I got them on a Black Friday at a fairly reasonable cost.
Their reps have been good. I had to call regarding the cameras because they were relatively difficult to set up and much more difficult than the instructions indicated, but after spending some time on the phone with the support rep, we got things up and running. Everything was great and the rest of the system and the sensors themselves were very easy to install. The only complaint we have right now is the color of the sensors. It comes in white, but when you put those on a dark door, the white doesn’t care for that. Other than that, we’re fine with the system. The cameras were a little complicated but once we set them up, it was fine.
They also need to document the set-up procedures a little more clearly. It was way too simplistic on the app and it was almost a requirement to call the support team. The support team was there and they took care of my problems. But if Frontpoint really wants it to be user-installable, they would have to have better documentation, especially on the cameras. Also, if I choose to move a sensor on a door or window, the tape tends to be good for one or two uses. If I move it any more than that, it falls off. I’ve had to tape on my door and window sensors using my own tape. It doesn’t look great but it’s okay. They either need to send along some extra double-sided tape or make the tape that they provide with the sensors better.
The smartphone features are relatively easy to use. I have to have a good strong Wi-Fi connection to use the video features. Nonetheless, I’m pleased with the whole thing. The cost is reasonable especially when I got it at a discount. I would not be quite as happy if I paid full list price for it. So far, I feel okay with Frontpoint. From a certain standpoint, they’ve been great and every time I called, they’ve been there and they've answered us.

I purchased a home security system when I bought a house. I went with them because of their reviews. Its cost is fair in comparison to the other quotes I got. Their sales reps were really helpful with what I needed with my home and when I had issues getting the device set up. However, I’m still having issues having the wall panel to hang as it keeps falling. They gave me adhesives, but they kind of wear off the wall. Also, the app keeps saying, “Phone panel failure”, and I’m not sure what that means. I would have to call them up to fix it. The features, nevertheless, are good. I like that I can also order extra window and door sensors which I just did. It’s a good app. I like that I can set the alarm on my phone after I have already left the house. If I forget to set it off at night and open a door, I hear the alarm. So, I know that it works throughout my house. I feel more secure having home security.

We live in South Florida and a lot of weird stuff happens around here. I’ve got a 13-month old son and my girlfriend so, I got a home security system for safety. We purchased a house and it has ADT. My mom had ADT and it was a pain to deal with that company. They have to come out and set their security system up. I did a bit of research and saw that Frontpoint's security system is user-friendly and it seemed advanced. The customer service has been great, too. I called them, they walked me through the installation and we set up the system. The ease of installation was very good.
The features are very good as well. When I purchased everything, it came with the cameras and then, they let me do it for a month with everything, but it was too expensive for us to have the full service. The price is over $50 to have the cameras and everything else working. If it wasn’t full service, it’s just $30. We couldn't afford it so we went back to the basic, without the cameras. I wish it wasn’t so expensive. In addition, I’d like to have the smartphone app, but I have to have the top of the line plan that includes all the features with the phone. The basic plan doesn’t allow us to do that. Other than that, we feel more secure having Frontpoint. I also got a system for my mom’s house and they set it up over there. We have the smoke alarm in the kitchen and that has gone off a couple of times on her. She sometimes walks away from the stove and then the smoke alarm feature goes off, so that feature works for her. I’ve been happy with Frontpoint.

Wanting an abundance of caution, I researched online and went with Frontpoint security system since they came up as number one. I did everything online and it was easy to navigate their site. But the instructions for the installation were at times confusing and they were in conflict with the actual configuration around my doors and windows in my home. They weren’t compatible with your system and I had to modify something. Their customer service did a fine job and they told me how to take the equipment apart to get the magnet out so that I could mount it instead of in the plastic but mounted directly on the door jam or the window sill. They walked me through all of the problems and they resolved every issue that I was confronted. It was a successful encounter.
We started traveling out of the country more often than we had in the past since we’re both retired so the security system was a good thing to have just in case. I was satisfied with what was offered in their package and it had everything that I needed. The system seems to do what it's intended to do. Whenever a door or a window is open the system comes right on and alerts me. I haven’t had any false starts. We’ve got several trips coming up this summer and I’ll try on their smartphone features and see what happens when I’m gone. So far, I’ve never been away long enough, just overnight trips here and there. Frontpoint is an excellent system and I’d recommend it.

A lot of people were using phone services that we knew weren't reliable and with the amount of things we were getting with the package that was on sale, Frontpoint turned out better. We pretty much got everything in the package, including the smoke detector, the doorbell camera, the sensors and the remote app. I use the smartphone feature all the time but they did an upgrade and they got some of the labels for some of the features that could've been a little better. Other than that, I’m satisfied with my experience with Frontpoint and I’d recommend it.
I’m still in the process of getting the smoke detector and the doorbell installed though, and I wish they offered installation for the hardwired things. But for the most part, I got everything installed. The installation videos were good and tech support told me how to get things installed. Their customer service is also good. If I have a false alarm, I always get quick service and I call them and let them know it was a false alarm so I don't have police come beating down my door.

Everybody around here has ADT. But five years ago I researched on the internet and Frontpoint came up to be the number one company so I gave them a call. Their customer service is excellent. I've had a lot of dealings with their representatives recently because I upgraded my system. I called them to see about a life alert type. They told me I already have it on my remote, but then I talked to the salesman and I let him know I pressed the wrong number because you press the number 1 if you're new customer, number 2 if you're an existing customer. I erroneously picked number one.
Then he wound up setting me up with a new system. So, I have two systems, two bills. It was a mess at first, but they wound up giving me credits for a couple of months on my bill. I didn’t have to pay the bill for a couple of months for my inconvenience. The reps were very kind, very understanding, and helpful in setting up the system. Then, I've had a problem with the doorbell camera. They replaced it a couple of times, and they helped me set it up.
However, Frontpoint is not local so they send everything to you and you have to set the system up yourself. I'm a senior citizen, I live alone and I’m handicapped. I didn't realize that when I went to them. So, I had to put the little sensors and the motion detector up myself. It was confusing at first but it turned out to be okay. But when there’s a problem, it’s not okay because Frontpoint has to send you new equipment and then return the old equipment. Then, they walk you through the setup. The other night, I was sound asleep and my phone rang and it set a rapid response on my cell phone.
The lady from Frontpoint asked for my passcode. I gave her my passcode and asked if I was okay and that their sensor showed that my back porch window was open and my and motion detector went off. I got up and went in the back. The backdoor was closed and my system showed that it was secure. I don’t have any animals or anything to set off the motion detector. The Frontpoint rep said he would have someone call me the next day because something was wrong with the system.
I haven't heard from them by 11:30, and I was anxious about it because being awake in the middle of the night with the call was disturbing. I called them and the guy I talked to was very, very nice. He walked me through some things and had me look at the control panel. Something was wrong with my motion detector because it had been going off on their end. But my alarm never went off so he had me take it down and said to put it in a drawer so it’s dark and will not sense any motion. He's supposed to call me back today about 11:30 and see if they detected any issues. Frontpoint sent me a whole new system when they set me up for the upgrade but I'm waiting for his call before I do anything. I feel much better and secure having the system. I keep it on all the time even when I'm in the house during the day. I open windows, but I don’t open the doors.

Frontpoint, like so many others, simply resells horribly overpriced Alarm.com equipment. With Frontpoint, however, you get the ability to pay $50/mo (well more than other services) for this, along with a long term contract with a hefty 80% termination fee. They are selling crap hardware, and the same old monitoring you can get anywhere else. And they refuse to negotiate the termination provision.

I have/had Frontpoint System for a 3 year contract. The worst thing I ever did was to give these guys my checking account information. They screwed up after I paid my account in full. I mailed a check for the full amount they told me I owed because I did not want them going into my checking account whenever they wanted. So I send check to pay my contract off them.
About 6 months later they enter my account take out funds because they said they made a mistake. Are you serious. Now I bounced checks because they took out money of my checking account when I paid them off 6 months previous. This was wrong and the more I think about it I am out $40.00 in bounced check fees. I asked them for rates for a year and they feed me this BS that I need another signed contract and a rate that sucks compared to other companies. Talk about a money grab. They offer me a additional month of service to cover their screwed up going into my account so I email them asking them, when my last month of service was. "Nothing."
I gave them pricing from another company and who deals without a 3 year contract. Then SILENCE from Frontpoint. They want you under this contract 3 years. All they have to do is meet their competition rates that I sent them but again SILENCE. Really a good business move? I have their equipment, they have no costs, but they want contracts... NEVER AGAIN. No reason to. Many companies are willing to deal without contracts.
I am still waiting for an end date of service. I want to confirm my last day of service. I want the package that their sales guy gave me. It was month by month at a fee of $18.00/month that I would pay off the full year in advance. I am very disappointed in their business sense thinking that because I have their equipment I am obligated to pay up for additional years and sign a contract. After no response to my email... I want my money returned to my checking account. I want my $40.00 bounced check fee returned to me. And unlike you guys I will take a check. I am willing to pay a competitive rate of $18.00 month all in for 12 months with signed contract but I am not willing to pay almost twice as much as you requested I do for your service.
Updated on 07/14/2018: These greedy pigs and they are they say one thing then do another. These guys went into my bank account for the third time and took out another $21.74. I paid in full early with a check then they forgot to charge me tax. 6 months later I bounced 3 checks. $90.00 dollars in bounced check fees. "OH no," they said... Don't worry they will credit my account. LOLOLOL What BSD... They then took out another $21.74 and more bounced check fees. People they took more money after I cancelled the account. They credit my account... What account? I cancelled them. I paid in full. They just charge and take out money anytime they need it. They can't even explain what the ** they are charging me for. I CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. THEY ENTERED MY ACCOUNT AND TOOK MORE MONEY.
Anyone who give these guys any account information are just plain crazy!!! They will continue to charge you over and over again. They owe me over $120.00 in bounced check fees. They took all this extra money after I canceled my account... paid in full... then they took out more money, caused me to bounce checks. Said they credited my account. They owe me over $120.00. I talk to one guy then they steal more money. WTF. Just looked at my bank statement 6-1-18. They took another $21.74. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am also filing a complaint with the NYS Banking Commission. In addition I am letting this letter stand as my privilege to file a small claims action for my money... for bounced check fees, for money taken after I paid off my account in full. They stole it. Folks... beware. This is what they do if you take a 3 year contract at the end of the contract when you are done.
They state that you are now obligated for more payments because if you read the small print on section 34, page 18, little i, part b... little a under the heading iii-12902... in small print you will see you are screwed for months after your contract is done. I want all my money back from the day I paid in full and paid my account off. After 3 months they went into my account and took my money. Never told me. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. I expect the following... $200.00 check in 7 days for fees and funds taken from my account..
One person does not know or care what the other person does. Forget any response from your complaint. They will just do whatever they want. FAKE REVIEWS. "THEY CAN'T STAND THE TRUTH". NOTHING FAKE HERE!!! PS: I will file a complaint with every agency who will listen...They poked a bear... I will not lay down. Keep tune folks before you decide to sign anything with this company... I will keep everyone posted on the outcome.

I bought a new home in a new area, so I wanted some safety and peace of mind for the home. I was a little hesitant to go with the self-install system but once I've researched and seen how easy it was to install after looking at some videos, that set me over the top to go ahead with Frontpoint. And there was also the reviews and the customer service's support.
The reps were knowledgeable and they answered all my questions. One rep was a bit aggressive but it wasn't anything that turned to be off too much. During the initial conversation, I was asking questions and when he was about to end, I wanted to go back and look things over again. He tried and overcame any objections and asked what he can do to get it done or if there was anything that was holding me back to doing it that time.
The installation process was straightforward. I utilized the YouTube videos and the app too was helpful. I ended up calling tech support a few different times for a couple of different things. But overall, it wasn't too bad. I called and spoke to the sales rep because I wasn't sure how effective or how well the glass break sensors would cover the living room versus getting an individual door window since the breach model would have been more expensive. I ended up adding those extra and customized it that way and I got an extra motion sensor as well.
From a cost versus quality standpoint, it was solid. I didn't get the highest quality panel or the touchscreen but I got the one that serves the purpose, so I think it was fine for the price. I would recommend Frontpoint to a friend. It was relatively easy to set up and it's cost-effective. The first phone call with a sales rep wasn't ideal, but outside of that, every time I've had to call whether tech support or just the bills, service has been really topnotch and that's important.

They were also very responsive and efficient. I had a good experience with them. We got the standard system with two or three sensors on different floors and the front door alarm. They sent the system quickly and then we had to install it, but that was easy. They sent us all the different parts and instructions and we set everything up. We attached everything to the wall and made sure it was connected to the phone.
The quality is fine and we're very happy with it. We had situations when people have gone in without a code. It set off the alarm and then we had the code straight away so Frontpoint was really responsive. There was also a situation where I had to call them just to verify that it was us going into the house, not somebody else. They've been very efficient and I haven't had any problems at all. I had ADT in the past and they're a little bit more expensive for the same thing that I'm getting with Frontpoint, so what we're getting now is a good service. I already had a home security system from a different provider and I wanted to continue it for my place. I did my research on Frontpoint so I was already sold that I wanted to go with them, but the salesperson who assisted me was very good. The installation was a little tedious at first. It took me about 45 minutes to an hour but I was able to work through it. As for the cost, it's just a few dollars different from what I was using before. In fact, it's better because I have extra features even though one of those extra features is almost useless because the detection is not really helping me at all. But the cost is pretty normal from what I expected.
With Frontpoint being wireless, everything is networked through. My previous system was wired to the wall and I had to set it on a table. But usually when someone came in and out of the door, I could hear the beep pretty loud. Whereas with Frontpoint, you can't. So sometimes, I don't know when someone is coming in or out unless I'm in the area where the base is located, and that's a big difference to me between the two systems. There are four of us in the household and so, it would be nice to know when someone is coming and going, especially my son who works late at night.
Other than the panel, the only feature that I'm a little disappointed in is the framed doorbell I also ordered. The doorbell is picking up everything. Supposedly, it should not detect anything when you put it on its lowest sensitivity level. However, it detects everything within 20 to 30 feet, including cars passing by or people walking by. It's ridiculous because it would constantly be recording and sending messages. I found out later that it only records up to a certain amount per month and when you have cars passing by every other minute, my month is over in two weeks. When I first signed up with them, I received my first doorbell and I had this problem. They told me to return and they would send me another one. The other one is doing the same thing.
I would tell my friends that everything is fine with Frontpoint as long as they don’t get the ring if they need that. Maybe purchase that separately and not from Frontpoint until they fix that part. I would also let them know about the panel but that's not a deal breaker if Frontpoint is able to fix that. I wanted to install it on a wall but I can't do that right now.

It was very good with the Frontpoint sales rep. The guy was very friendly and took time to listen to the size of our home and the various features to make sure that the system fit. But they do all their business online. So, it was one of those things where I got a better price if I purchased at the time rather than go back. That was a little pushy on the sales side but other than that, everything was fine. We got a motion sensor and a bunch of window and door sensors. The equipment prices were very positive and the installation was easy. In one of our doors, we had an issue with making sure the magnet stuck because of how there wasn’t much wiggle room. The sensors can only be so far apart and with the way the door was set up, it was tough for us to balance the sensor that was actually on the frame.
The smartphone is great and it makes everything really easy. But I had to go to the actual website that has additional options to make a change that wasn’t available on the smartphone. But most of the time, to activate and deactivate, we use our phones which is obviously a big plus. Everything in terms of the equipment itself has been a good value so far. The monthly cost is a little more expensive compared to other systems. Thankfully, up to this point, we haven't needed any of the features in terms of having to sound an alarm for any time. The experience we’ve had has been great.

We never had a system before, so we were in the market for one. And Frontpoint's Cyber Monday Deal was nice. The hardware was super on sale, as well as security. Frontpoint’s customer service has always been great. They walked me through any troubleshooting problems I've had on my own. They were very patient, very friendly, and very intelligent. The sales team was great, too. The installation was fine, easy and cool. I recently caught that the graphic design and the onboarding process can't get any better. It was awesome and was clearly labeled with byte size and depths. And even if I can't figure that out, their YouTube links were straightforward and simple.
The system's features are good. But I have some questions the further along I go with it. I remember hearing during the sales talk about some features that were very appealing to me, and I had a lot of questions about what Frontpoint offers that other people don't. The only loophole I was seeing was I access one of the features and I don’t know what or what not to do with it and how I could even find it. But I could always call and ask them to remind how to figure those things out. We've never had an alarm go off, but we did by accident when a friend walked in. We didn't know how the alarm turned on.
In regard to knowing what the steps are going to be if someone is breaking into your house, that would be cool to know, even how loud the alarm will be or how to run things like that. They say that they or the other company will give me a call and they asked for my password. That’s cool but it wasn't clear to me that I needed to get a permit. Apparently, for the city that I was in, I need to have a permit and there is a fine if I don't. And if it's connected to calling the cops, there is a new permit for a monitoring system. That may change per city, so it makes sense how that wouldn't be straight in my face. But I found that out through a friend who told me that I needed that. I just hope that Frontpoint will protect their customers.
Also, the picture resolution is not as good as I was told in terms of what was sold and I know it depends on internet connection. The live ones are fine, but the recorded ones are a little choppy. They look like they're 10 years old. It would also be nice for their sky cam to have different options in terms of aesthetic appearances. I live in Philadelphia and we have nothing but brick, and the black doesn't look that nice. I wish there were a few more options because I've noticed there was a chrome finish and there was a black finish, but I didn't how to find the chrome or other models available. That was the only one that came with our package. Nonetheless, Frontpoint is number one. They’re pricey, but I, fortunately, found them during their great sale.

I wanted a home security system for peace of mind and protection of my belongings. I work pretty hard for the stuff I have and if I can protect them any way, a security system just makes sense. Everyone that I talked to from Frontpoint answered all my questions in a timely fashion. They also gave me enough time to make a decision, 'cause I didn't make the decision the first time I talked with them, but they contacted me back and helped me make the decision on which service to choose and they did a good job.
Although Frontpoint functions pretty much the same as my old system, the one thing I can say is I'm in the process of renting homes and have been renting my last couple of residences, and for the security system before, they actually go in to physically install it and I can't take it with me. On the other hand, I can take Frontpoint's system with me, so I don't have to purchase another system anymore as I already have one.
I installed the system myself. They gave me step-by-step instructions to follow and were easy to understand. It's pretty cut and dry and I don't think any regular person would have any issue with it. When I did have one issue, I called them and they fixed it right away. I like the system's features and definitely the fact that they have the mobile app where I can do all my stuff and it gets me to look at more information. I like that functionality.
Although I wish that there wasn't a $4 or $5 a month upcharge, it is a little difference. I think the whole package is competitive, especially with what's on the market. I was able to find a cheaper deal with another competitor, but they didn't offer the flexibility of me moving my system like Frontpoint. They would have to come out and install it, so I decided to go with Frontpoint over them because of that.

Frontpoint had good reviews online, so I got them for peace of mind. I reached out to Frontpoint when I was doing my initial set up and my questions were answered fairly quickly and easily. And the installation went very smoothly. The only alert that I got was when there was any power loss to the main console, and I have received email and app notifications when that happened, which was unusual. It took me about a month of real world usage to get used to the system and understand what it could do. My experience has been mostly positive, but it would be useful talking to someone and just going over exactly all of the features that I have, because I’m not sure that I’m making the best use of everything that’s available to me.

My previous home security provider was ADT and they required someone to come and set things up for me. Compared to the previous, I chose Frontpoint for the ease of set-up and I was able to add things along even from an aftermarket standpoint. Also I already had Frontpoint on my first home. I’ve had limited interaction with Frontpoint’s customer service. I'm a little bit technical enough to be able to set things up and debug things myself. But the few interactions that I've had with their representatives had been good. They've been able to solve my problem right away. If not anything, at least, be able to give directions on how best to be able to solve the problem.
The previous equipment I had was all replaced because the installers had their own panel and they had their own contact point. But the installation itself was more do-it-yourself. It came in a box already configured and all I had to do was to put it in the right place. Their app also took me step-by-step in the installation. It was an easy process to do that.
The equipment is okay but there are opportunities to improve such as the home automation. There are certain things which I wanted because of my needs which don't exist or at least they don't have it anymore. And even if I get it aftermarket, I can't easily connect the device to their system. I wanted a temperature sensor and Frontpoint doesn’t have one, nor can I get one aftermarket to be able to pack that into the system. I wish it was a little easier to be able to tie it into the control panel and system. Overall it’s a good experience with Frontpoint and I would recommend it to my friend. I recommended it to my cousin who ended up getting it.

I had a good no-pressure sales rep from Frontpoint who was very informative. We weren’t quite ready when I called the first time, but I had a good experience with our conversation. She sent me an email information and I replied back to her when we were ready to make the jump. The installation was a little more extensive than we anticipated and I was surprised because my husband is very handy and knows his way really well around a toolbox. While the installation definitely took longer than they had told us to expect, the quality of the equipment has been good. We’ve enjoyed having the Frontpoint system and definitely feel more secure with it.

We bought a new home and we wanted to have a home security system. I wanted to see what was new and available so I did my due diligence. My initial contact with Frontpoint was very positive. The salesperson took all the time necessary to answer every question I had and discuss the products and how they would work. I then had a number of interactions with their team before I finally got the system up and running, and they were very good. I had one negative experience but you're never going to get perfect service and it has been resolved.
I was able to tailor the system to what my needs were. It was self-explanatory and easy to install. It came in a box and they told me to give them a call once I started the process and I did that. Everything worked out but there were a couple of glitches and I wasn't crazy about a couple of small things, one of them being the keypad. I wasn't crazy about the fact that it’s not an integrated pad that I can just plug into the wall. I have to run the cord to a thing. Also, the siren on the unit is loud inside the house but if you’re standing outside the house, you can’t hear it.
But I love the app and I like its convenience. The house is new, so we’ve had to let people in and with the remote lock, I can control when people come in and come out. And I don’t have to be home to let them in. Frontpoint's rate was satisfactory as well. It's five bucks more a month than our previous provider but the system runs without any flaws. It works when I need it to work and I never have to call them and complain about anything.

Frontpoint was a recommendation of a friend of mine so I got one. It was really easy to install. The instructions wasn’t complicated or disorienting. Every feature is also fine except the panic button that we had to set up was more of a controller function then it’s not a single button function which is interesting. But it works for what it is. We customized the features. Pretty much everything is there and it has been good. There’s been some quirks and we’ve been able to work through most of them. The cost is about right. I’ve had other security systems similar to this better monitored. The cost is not too expensive but not also the cheapest out there but it works fine.

We moved to a new home and we have a lot of valuable things and we wanted to increase our level of security. We got a home security system from Frontpoint based on consumer ratings. Frontpoint's salesperson was very helpful. I set the system up myself and it was easy. My only frustration is it costs too much and what I'm paying is not worth it. I’m locked in on a $45 for three years for what I get and I've seen a lot of competitors out there that are $20 cheaper. Other than that, the system's features are giving some basic alerts at home or away from home and it meets the needs that I have.

Getting a home security system through Frontpoint looked easy and straightforward. I ordered my Frontpoint system around Christmas and there was a Christmas special sale with a discount, and the price for the service seemed to be pretty much in line with everything else. But I didn’t like being locked into a one-year contract.
In addition, the installation of my system was harder than I was led to believe. Although each step wasn’t very difficult, the whole process was more of a pain in the behind than I would’ve liked. There were a couple of springs and I had to open them up and reset them because a piece wasn’t working properly. But there was no way to know ahead of time or test if these things were working properly, so I was having difficulty and I had to call in. There was nothing there that said I might want to check something out to make sure that it didn’t move in shipping.
I wasn’t blown away by my Frontpoint system. It was no better, but probably no worse either, than any other security system I’ve ever had. We moved to a new house that already had a security system and I cancelled with Frontpoint. But I had to pay off my year and it was a big expense, and because of that, if someone asked me, then I would not recommend Frontpoint.
Greg, we appreciate you sharing this feedback with us, as it really is the best way for us to learn and grow as a company. We wish you the best of luck with all of your security needs moving forward and ask that you please let us know if there is ever anything we can do for you in the future.

I'm a new homeowner and I got a home security system for security purposes. I looked up reviews online and checked which companies had good response and services. I wanted a do-it-yourself type of system and Frontpoint avails that. I also liked their ratings. I thought that they were the best choice, too. When I called their representative, he had a package going that was a reasonable price in my mind. They explained the details, we went over the house and how many entry points there are, and he set up a system that was sent through the mail. Then we set it up and had the same contact with the same gentleman to get it activated. So things went pretty easily. Frontpoint has kind of a place-and-stick sensor system and with command strips, you can move anything and replace if necessary. So it wasn't too difficult.
I have the basic necessity of entry and having a sense of security as we leave the house. They have a higher or more expensive systems that you can buy through them that integrate your lights and smart home and if we go away on a day trip or at night, we turn it on. It's a good system to have. To my understanding, it runs on a radio frequency. So it connects to singular AT&T Verizon cell towers and communicates that. This system hasn't given me any problems as of yet and I like how you can hook it up through your mobile phone and secure and turn it off through that, which is a handy feature. It's pretty user-friendly and they've updated them a couple of times since I've had the app. I have pictures and things that allow me to access the security features easily.
The cost is also reasonable. I pay $50 a month for the system that I have, which is the intermediate level that they offer. So for the cost and the service and the parts, they have warranty on most of their mechanisms that if something breaks, they will charge you initially for it, they give you the replacement part, and then you credit, and get that back. Also, I have two pets and I like the sense that I can leave the home and even though they will react to anyone coming near the house, the security system with the local and having the mobile app of that notification is pretty important.

We are first-time homeowners and we thought of getting a home security system. The most important thing for me is the quality and affordability. And Frontpoint's price was one of the most affordable in the market. We also read a lot of reviews on the internet and they had a pretty good review. I called them twice. One was when we were doing the contract and the second time was when we received the equipment. They explained to us what to do. We did the installation ourselves and it was good. We've used the basic thing for the house and until now, everything is good and working fine.
But I thought in the beginning that the keychain was included. We had to pay for two keychains. But everything is the same for the price that I pay for the equipment. We also didn't like the fact that we have to take the home security system because of the deal that we are stuck with them for three years, which is too much.

I was looking for an alarm system so I went online and checked them out. I saw Frontpoint and I thought this was the best choice, so I went for it. I had a very, very satisfactory experience with the sales reps at first. The system was a bit confusing to program and some of my products didn't work when I was installing it but I had a lot of help. The rep spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me and she got everything else squared away, so everything's working perfectly now.
I like to sleep with the bedroom door open and I'm having trouble trying to get the system to isolate that one door. It's an alarm system and I'm afraid to hit the wrong thing. I read online about how to do it and but when I try, the system doesn't do what it says I have to do. When I push the button it tells me to push, it doesn't come up. But I can live with my bedroom door closed, so I just don't turn the system on by itself. That's the only problem I have and I'll figure it out. Nevertheless, the features offered in the system are great. I've been using the system for a few months now and it's fine. The sensors fell off my window though, but that was my fault. I've already recommended Frontpoint to several people and they're looking into it.

I ordered and they sent the stuff in a timely manner and explained everything very thoroughly. I followed up with any questions and I'm very happy with them. Frontpoint has instructions on the internet and the reps went through it step-by-step with me on the phone. It's straightforward but there probably could have been a little bit more on the instructions. But for the most part, there was no problem. Furthermore, I wanted a camera but in order to add it, I gotta have a high-speed internet. I was thinking about getting that, but I haven't done that yet. But I might in the future. Other than that, everything seems to be functioning okay.
I had the system in the box for a long time because we were remodeling plus we had a major plumbing problem. So, all the windows were blocked and I couldn't get to install an alarm for a while. But they were more than happy to accommodate my needs. Overall, the system works great. We feel a lot more secure now especially my wife when she's here by herself. We moved into a new development and there were not really burglaries but car break-ins and a few things like that at first. So we felt that since we're sometimes gone for a few weeks at the time, we needed a home security system. I do like the fact that Frontpoint's system has no wiring, that I could install it myself and if somebody's gonna break in, they couldn't just disconnect the wires on the outside.
Every time I call Frontpoint, if their lines are busy, they just have you leave your number and they'll give you a call back rather than have you sit on the line for 20 minutes. And I've always gotten a call right back. And whenever I had a little problem with installation, although not much of this one, I call Frontpoint and they resolve the whole thing very quickly. Their customer service has been very good. We did set the system off accidentally once. My husband just walked in the house because he forgot it was on. Because I also had a couple of email messages, it triggered email messages instantaneously. My husband would have to turn off the unit after the 30 sec was up. As soon as that expired, I had a call right away making sure that everything was okay and that it was an accident. So, they've met our satisfaction to this point.
As for installation, they sent clear directions and I did it yourself. One part didn't work because it hadn't been activated correctly but when I called up, they were able to reset that and then everything’s connected fine. Because it was unfamiliar, the installation probably took me an hour but now that I know what I'm doing, it didn't need to take that long.
I like Frontpoint because we could just start with a basic package. It gave us a motion detector for the great room and a break window detection which we put in our bedroom because we have a couple of big windows. And then, it just gave us door sensors for each of our doors. A couple of weeks ago, I reordered and window sensors. And so, what it is is you can have as much or as little as you want. We could have outdoor, indoor and doorbell cameras but we feel like that's overkill. We're in a pretty safe area. So, we just want to know if somebody's inside our house that's why we were able to go minimal but if we wanted to do much more we'd be able to. Frontpoint is about the same cost as any of the outfits that they can do more than just give you the alarm. It can respond and get the police, if necessary. So, they actually have much more available that we feel we need.
The quality of the equipment seems good, so far. Whenever we open the door, it beeps which is, for us, a nice feature because our toddler granddaughter is over here a lot. And she did take off out the front door once. We knew the door was being opening and went right after her. Also, if I'm in the house alone, I knew if somebody has entered. I also do like that when my husband's out of town and I'm staying for an extended period by myself, I set it at night. When I want it set and I'm in the house, I can just set entry, but not activated the motion sensor. It helped me feel a little more secure when I'm by myself.
I also have the smartphone app. When we were on a South American cruise in January, I was checking to make sure the system was still activated. And one day I saw it wasn't. And so if I'm out of town, I can use that to check the status and I can also get information, I can activate and deactivate it like if I knew somebody was going to come over that didn't know how to deactivate the system, I can deactivate it anywhere in the world.
And then we also have the little key fob which I really like that I can deactivate the system just from that before I come in the house. So I can hold down one button for a couple of seconds to activate it. I don't have to do it inside the house and then run to the door within 30 sec. We just go outside, re-lock up from the outside the front door and set it all. I got one of those for my daughter and son-in-law too so when they come over, there's no like three seconds of beeping while you go put in the code. Frontpoint is where I got everything I need and at an affordable price and at ease of installation. We're just completely satisfied.I would recommend Frontpoint to anybody that doesn't feel they need to be hardwired. It sounded more interesting to me than having some technician come out and spend the whole day wiring my house and then trying to upsell me.

There had been breaking and entering in our neighborhood so we started to invest in a security system as well as a home camera system. Originally we had one when we moved in the house in 2007. We kept it for about two years and then cancelled their service. Compared to that, Frontpoint did a great job in the customer service area. I’ve gotten multiple phone calls for a follow up on setup and making sure that we’re happy with everything that was going on. Plus, when we had an issue, there was a phone call for customer service general feedback. Their reps were very professional. They asked a very straightforward question and they made me feel like my answers are going somewhere. I really appreciate the additional follow up beyond just a callout.
The system set up was easy. The installation instructions were clear and simple. However, the casing of the motion sensor had come loose and we had to unscrew it and kind of seed it back into place and then put it back together. After that, there was nothing else that really caused any problems. Frontpoint had all the packaging that I wanted including the security cameras. I just chose to go with a hardwire install instead of wireless. The quality of the equipment has been really good. However, the wall mount unit for the keypad doesn’t really secure itself very well. It was kind of loose fitting the way it hangs on the wall. If there was a more secure way to put that up, maybe adhesive backing or something, then that might be a better option. Furthermore, I have used their smartphone features. Currently my service is down due to a line issue that I’m not familiar with. But when I was using it, it was a very convenient feature.
Overall, Frontpoint's functionality and performance were very positive. And the cost was very much on par and very fair. My wife is much more comfortable coming home now and has great confidence in Frontpoint's ability to respond to any issues in the home after a few callouts. So, she’s been very happy. I've also recommended them to a family member.

The only thing that's a little bit of annoying is the motion detector. Our dog who’s 80 pounds sets it off. I was under the impression when I purchased it that it wouldn’t create an issue. In the end, the purpose of the alarm is to go off either way, but our motion detector is rarely utilized. Also, I received a call from Frontpoint and they said that the motion detectors went off and asked if I wanted to call the police. I told them to hold on since I needed to make sure our contractors were there. They gave me the number to call back. But when I called back, our guy wasn’t there. We’ve been lackadaisical when it came to security so we really didn’t have a home security system at all. When we bought our house, it had one of the old laser security systems but we never really used it. Somebody got into our garage and stole a couple of my bikes. I decided to get a security system but I didn’t know what security system to use. Being in an older home, I was concerned that if I put a new security system in, I would use the ceiling to hook up the wires. So the wireless system that I researched looked to be quite well with Frontpoint. So I made the decision to contact Frontpoint, and I talked to the salesperson and made the purchase, which was very easy.
I installed the system myself. It’s a system that’s meant to be portable and it’s kind of do-it-yourself. So the rep walked me through the size of the house, what was needed, and then they mailed the whole package to me. Then I called them and there was an installation person on the other side that walked me through the process. Everything was kind of preprogrammed and then I just put it up. Overal, the installation was easy. I did a few things wrong, and the person on the line was very patient, good and straight. Frontpoint is a little bit more expensive than some of the other systems. I have two security systems from Frontpoint for different properties. I wanted something that was independent, any of those companies that work either on web or phone like a landline. I wanted something that could work on wireless and Frontpoint offered that option. So that’s why I went with them, as much as the do-it-yourself system. I like the options that they offered and their pricing was competitive. The first time I spoke with a representative, he was very helpful. He walked me through the entire system and what I would need to do. And they took care of the false alarm system thing, so it was really convenient and I didn’t have to do anything. The installation was super easy. I just needed to take care of a few guidelines which they provided and they were not hard to understand. The guidelines were on all the doors that I need security on.
They asked me how many entry and exit points I have and how many floors in the house, and they helped me map out what I might need. They recommended I get an extra motion sensor and that has made a lot of sense. The customer rep was really wonderful the first time but the second time, my experience wasn’t as good as the first. I don’t know whether it’s just because I was an existing customer so I was kind of all in the bag. Anyhow, the second time I knew what I was doing, and all came packaged really well. They even packaged the equipment in steps so I don’t have to take everything out and figure out what to do. The instructions told me exactly what to do and then I synced my phone up to the entire system. It’s entirely on the web and I didn’t have to set up the keypad at all. The system did that automatically, so I just had to plug it in.
The apps are really nice. I called Frontpoint to have both the properties on the same app for me so that I don’t, by mistake, arm a house that I didn’t want to, and they helped me with that. So customer service with Frontpoint is very superior to anything else that I have experienced. I really like that and I think that’s what makes me go back to them. I’ve had false alarm situations and their response has been excellent. That’s the kind of response I would expect from them in case it was an actual incursion. There are independent, web-based security system providers around the market now, but my experience with Frontpoint has been really good which is why I am a returning customer. I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint and I’d tell my friends to get it.

We live in times where there are a lot of criminals around and the cops don't allow us to shoot them. So we have to fight some other way and catch them on video. I felt like the other security companies were overpriced and they had some complaints from different places. Frontpoint had a lot of good reviews throughout the internet and their price was fairly reasonable. It beats a lot of its competitors substantially. Moreover, their customer support was excellent. The installation was easy and the instructions were easy to follow. However, the first door sensor was bad, which turned me off. I mailed it back to have it replaced. Other than that, it was fairly simple to put in. I could have installed it in 25 minutes if I didn't have problems with the sensors. Every time I had issues with the system, I called them up and they were very responsive. They were able to fix it within a reasonable time and they were there when I needed them.
The features that Frontpoint offers are all excellent. The door locks everything just like any other major alarm company out there. I customized my package towards what I felt like I needed to. I had an extra door lock and then some extra sensors. I wanted my kids to have access without using the keys to the house. Also, I wanted to know when the kids were coming in and have something to monitor the house when we're not here or on a vacation. The smartphone features are excellent and easy to use. There were a few glitches here and there with the cameras and the Wi-Fi connection, but overall, it's good quality equipment.

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a home security system for a while. We used to have an alarm system. The world’s getting crazier and it gives me a little more peace of mind to know that if someone breaks into my house, the police would be notified. And hopefully, it won’t get too bad. I was searching online and I liked the idea of Frontpoint being completely wire-free, which is what I wanted in a company. I didn’t want someone to be able to mess with our system by being outside and cutting through the wires. Frontpoint has a backup battery, too, so it should never go out. I felt safer.
Frontpoint's rep was really nice and very helpful and he answered all my questions. The installation wasn’t too bad but it was hard finding places to put the sensors where they’ll stick. I struggled with our door's opening or where to put it because there’s only a certain amount of distance that the sensor can be apart. So on certain parts of the door, once I open it, it falls off. We’ve gotten it down but I am having trouble with the motion sensor. I tried setting it up and the first time I used it, we left the house and I set it “away”. Then I got a notification saying that the motion sensor had been triggered, but none of the doors have been opened. We don’t have any pets and there was no way somebody could have gotten to the house. So, I haven’t turned that on and it's just in the box.
The cost of the system is not bad but I had one concern because I live with my parents and they’re both deaf. I had spoken to one rep and he had said that our system is compatible by setting up our own flashing light so that they would know when the alarm is going off. When I set up the system, I spoke to another rep and he said that I would have to upgrade my system in order to make it compatible with the flashing light system. It was a little frustrating being told two different things, so we ended up installing our own device. But it’s not very practical and it’s basically a baby monitor that will set the lights flashing with any sound. I am looking for a way to hook it up so that it’s only for the alarm. Sometimes the light blinks all the time, so they unplug it but then they can forget to plug it back in and if the alarm’s going off, they're not going know.
I feel better for having Frontpoint in my home, yet the idea of it going off, as well as that sound, is still terrifying. But we like the system and it’s nice to know we have it. So, when we’re in the house or even when we leave, we can turn it on. And if something were to happen, it’ll go off and immediately alert Frontpoint. It went off in the middle of the night and I turned it off. But I still got a call from Frontpoint checking to make sure we were okay to use the passcode. I appreciated that because I know someone’s always on it. I’m likely to recommend Frontpoint but I wish it was a little more deaf-friendly for individuals who need a bit more.

All the kids moved out, and I was just living alone. Frontpoint was wireless and on the internet, it was rated as one of the better security systems. I've had the Frontpoint system for a while now and their reps were very helpful. They walked me through everything and it was very good. Also, when I needed a new sign for the yard, they mailed it out. I installed the system and I was talking to the customer service rep on the phone at the time because I couldn't figure out what to do and how to do it. They helped me set it up to change from the beeping to the voice because it scared my dog. It was very easy to install and the instructions were good. I was surprised with the features of the system. I didn't realize they had a smoke detector, a glass break sensor, and a motion detector. It was excellent.
It has only been a couple of months but so far, the quality of the equipment has been good and it's only $30 a month. Also, I didn't have to pay for the initial package. However, I didn't have the smartphone features. You have to pay an extra monthly charge to be able to access the system online on your phone. Nonetheless, I hear the box making noises and I'm unsure of what it's doing but I am assuming that's normal. Other than that, the system makes me feel secure and it's a good product. Their customer service is excellent. One of the biggest things for me is if you have issues, you're gonna call, and sometimes you can never get through depending on the company but Frontpoint has been very responsive, so I am satisfied.

We purchased a system for security reasons. Prior to Frontpoint, we had Comcast. Frontpoint's reps did a great job. They explained the process of selling the system and its installation. The features that are offered are average to above average. However, we have a small glitch with one the sensors on one of the doors. Still, that's just a matter of writing to the entity and getting new sensors. Our experience with them has been fairly good, so far.

I’m living on my own and we thought it was best that I have a home security system. My dad researched and got Frontpoint. I have called Frontpoint's customer service and updated by giving my name and phone number. The installation was very easy and I have the alarm system on my two doors. Right now, I’m upstairs and I don’t need anything on my windows. So, I feel secure. I really like the features of the system and I’m enjoying it. I’m satisfied and unless I am fortunate enough to buy a house then I’ll upgrade. The system has never gone off yet but my dad told me yesterday that I might need to set it off to make sure it is actually working. I would recommend Frontpoint and I have already recommended it to several friends.

I wanted a home security system for security purposes, and I purchased one from Frontpoint. I liked their customer reviews, price point, and how they compared to other competitors. Their customer service is very strong and the sales associate that I spoke to was very knowledgeable of not only Frontpoint but the industry as well. I was comparing Frontpoint to ADT and some other security providers as well, and ADT is known for having poor customer service and there was some large issue with another provider in terms of their app service.
The Frontpoint system seemed easy to use. It’s very scalable in the fact that you can add additional units or equipment onto it fairly simple. And importantly as well, it ties in with emergency services. The installation was simple. I was on the phone with someone with their support team when I did it. They walked me through it. The only thing is the actual console itself has to be plugged into an outlet which isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing. If it gets unplugged or if someone comes in and smashes it, it stays on. It has battery power. It’s powered by mobile data instead of Wi-Fi so if my Wi-Fi gets cut, it’s still online. But I just don’t like looking at the cord hanging around the wall. I have recommended Frontpoint through a few friends as well.

The young man who I was working was very helpful and explained everything thoroughly and got me set up that day. And within just a couple of days, I had the box in the mail. And I was able to set everything up without having any troubles. It was a quick call that I made that activated everything, and it was good to go. The installation instructions were perfect and very user-friendly and weren't complicated, so I liked that.
The features are so far, so good. I'd like to add some more maybe once my budget changes well in the future. It tends to be a little bit on the expensive side as far as some of the special features go, like the mobile monitoring and being able to set my alarm remotely and turning it off and things like that, but that's my only hang-up. The security equipment's quality seems great. There's a comparable system that a friend of mine has through another company. And it seems to be slightly more expensive, but they have a lot more features. But as far as the actual functionality goes, I think the one I have is fairly priced. I would highly recommend Frontpoint. We live in a neighborhood that is sort of middle of the range as far as crime goes and I do some traveling for work. So, it helps a little extra peace of mind while I'm going and my wife's at home alone that we've got a security system. It helps us both sleep better at night when I'm out of town.

The only other option given was to continue troubleshooting the equipment which was ultimately found to be defective. Unfortunately, they did not have the model of motion sensor I was sold, so to replace it I was instructed to buy it from a 3rd party and Frontpoint would reimburse the purchase price. I guess I'm doing their supply-chain work for them now...

I’ve had a home security system for years and Frontpoint's customer service was better. When I was searching for a new system, the reps were responsive and they knew about their products. Also, they had a lower price for better equipment and the installation instructions were easy to follow. When I purchased from Frontpoint, their system was an upgrade, but I ended up purchasing from a different company to get a better price for the exterior cameras. Frontpoint's smartphone features are good and anybody I’ve dealt with on the phone from them has been very professional and easy to deal with. I just bought the house and decided to get a home security system. My sister uses Frontpoint in Florida and she said they are pretty good, so I decided to try them. The user set-up experience was a little confusing. I had some random issues with the system. It had failures, but I finally called, and a technician recently walked me through it and fixed it over the phone. He was helpful. What he couldn’t answer, he got answered. There were brief holds but I was treated fair. It was a good experience.
I got a good deal on Frontpoint during Black Friday so I can't complain about the price at all. But the little pieces that we installed on the doors could be a little bit better. They also got to replace the little sticky things that they give people. We had to use superglue because they weren’t sticky enough. They were also a little bit big. Then the motion sensors could be a little bit more sensitive. There had been times I've walked by and it didn’t pick me up which was weird. Other than that, it’s a decent product and I feel confident in them.

Customer service is dismal. Usually the person doesn't know what they are talking about, and they almost never answer you back. You literally have to pester them relentlessly to make any headway. Sadly, I would never recommend them to anyone.

Frontpoint has the option to have the cell phone service instead of it being hardwired to my electricity and power. And I purchased this home security system for the safety of my family. The rep, Kyle, was great and he did a really good job. He knew the product and how to operate everything. He had me sold when I first talked to him. The installation was easy and I just opened the box and followed the steps one to three.
The features of the system are great. I’m able to have the cameras, the doorbell, and the home keypad. And it’s an overall convenience because of the ease of use. The smartphone feature is wonderful. Also, the cost is spot on. It’s relatively the same price if not cheaper than all the rest. With Frontpoint, I have the sheer convenience of having the security in my pocket and also on the wireless network. So, I know what’s going on and I know any time somebody comes and rings the doorbell and if they happen to break in. Frontpoint is flawless.

We were getting our home renovated and it had one of the old wired in security systems and it was very outdated. It didn’t have a video camera so I did a little bit of internet research and Frontpoint came out with very high customer service ratings that was especially important to me because it’s not a residence that I’m living at. And I've been extremely impressed with Frontpoint. It has a slightly different business model because you’re doing your own installation. But once you got past the old concept of scheduling an appointment, somebody coming in and doing all that stuff for you, it was pretty easy to set up. There were some things we ran into during set up and they were very proactive.
The only thing I haven’t done is the video camera because I would feel more comfortable having somebody who knows what they’re doing to do it. But in terms of the sensors for the windows, it was pretty straightforward and easy to set up, and that saves you a fair amount of money as well. We have the main control in a big, open room and we had it sitting on a little side table at the edge of the room, and we had troubles with communications. So we moved it to the center of the room and kept it there for the last several months. The last time we visited, we moved it back to the side and now, it's working. It seemed like it was a temporary issue, so I didn't bother to call Frontpoint.
I like the modularity of the system because I know that I could get additional stuff if ever I wanted. And the biggest advantage for me is being able to do everything from my cellphone. Because when we had the old system, I had rush to get to the keypad so I could turn it off in time. I’ve been very pleased with Frontpoint so far. I would recommend it.

When we were trying to set up the system, their reps have always been very helpful, thorough, and above all, patient because my husband and I aren’t very tech savvy. I was on the fence but I went with it anyway because I'd rather go with something I know and not have to worry about it and pay a little more money than reinvent the wheel. It's not something I wanna have to think about every day.
Overall, I had a great experience with their people and that's why I haven't gone with anything that was cheaper because it's always easy to get something worked out with Frontpoint and somebody always calls me back and works with me until everything is finished. For my budget, Frontpoint seemed to be the security company that fit the best. I worked on the phone with their guys and they told me what the step was gonna be. They told me exactly what my price point and my contract were gonna be and that there was gonna be no change. So, I agreed to the terms and went with it. I installed the equipment on my own and the instructions were pretty good. They sent me the kit and I plugged up all my sensors. Once they confirmed that I had my sensors plugged in the right places, it let me know that everything was up and running the way it should be.
I got one issue though. I was told in the initial set up that I was going to be able to get a form to fill out in case the alarm does go off when I’m out of town or even when I’m at my house and they needed to come out and detect that there is an issue. I never got that form, so essentially the alarm system is only set up right now for my knowledge on my cell phone and me hearing if the alarm goes off.
But I love the features of the system and the sensors. I don’t have the camera package as I’ve got my own cameras but so far, so good. The overall functionality of the system is really good. Every time I set the alarm or open up a door, it lets me know that a door is being opened and that the alarm is being set. If I don’t type the code in once a door has been opened and the alarm has been set, the alarms will go off and that’s exactly what I want. With Frontpoint, I sleep better at night. I don’t have to rely on myself hearing noises throughout the house. It has been absolutely a great peace of mind. I’m really glad I went with them. I would tell a friend to definitely sign up for it.

The system seems to be working fine and everything that came with it is nice. I would like stuff for my windows, but I can't afford that at the moment. The only thing that I had an issue with was one of the glass breaks. When I went to put it up, it wasn't registering to the thing. And then, I had to go move the spring around and all that good stuff and reset it, and put the batteries in. But other than that, I haven't had any problems with it. I looked at several sites on the web and Frontpoint had good reviews. The reps were very attentive. They called me back, emailed me back and answered my questions. They followed through to get equipment shipped for me. Everything went well with them. The installation went pretty good too. The range on some of the equipment had some problems at first, trying to get everything hooked up and connected, but everything went in. Also, the cost is very good.
I like the primary control box where I can turn everything off and on and it starts beeping. The secondary control that I have up in my master bedroom functions, but it's massively limited. It's the biggest disappointment of the Frontpoint system. My previous system was a little bit better mainly because of the console. With the old system, I'd be able to lay in bed and look over there and I could see a green light or a red light was on, whether it was armed or not. If someone came in the door, the system would be activated.
With Frontpoint, you can enter stuff into it but you can't look at it and tell anything. You can't even look at it and tell whether the battery is on. If someone comes in the door, it doesn’t beep. It's purely to set things or walk over and hit a button and it will tell you what the status is. If I want to check it and I'm laying in bed, I have to walk over there and hit a button. But as far as I can tell so far, everything is fine. I had ADT before and I feel just as secure now with Frontpoint as when I did when I had ADT. I'd recommend it.

Then, when one sensor went out, they walked me through it and sent me a new one out right away. I also had a battery that went low and they sent me a replacement battery, which was wow. I'm a new homeowner and the house didn't have a security system, so I wanted to add one. I was originally going to go with ADT, but after I did some searching, I wanted to go with Frontpoint because it's on a cellular system. So, once I had the equipment, I would be able to take it with me to a new location if I ever moved. I have used a different security system in the past but it was just a panel like that of ADT when you walk in the door. It was okay, but I like the fact that with a Frontpoint system, I have the availability to look on it on my app or in my computer instead of just being from the panel alone. The representatives were super helpful upfront and they offered me some deal to sign up that day. And then any time I had to call back, they made sure that whatever my issue might be, they would help me as soon as I call.
Frontpoint is a do-it-yourself system and I'm pretty good with that kind of stuff, so it was easy to set up. It came with one of the video doorbells, which I have not set up yet. It doesn't have the same wiring in the current system in the house, and I haven't called to try to figure that out or get some support with that. I really like the control panel, the touch screen system, and it was one of the reasons why I went with Frontpoint. Also, I like the overall quality of the equipment a lot. At least the door and window sensors are comparable to the other systems but the quality of the control panel was a lot nicer.
The Frontpoint system was a great value because the other systems, at least from a monthly cost, were more expensive without the additional features. It was going from nothing to being able to have a system, and I feel good that I have it. Now I feel secure when I'm at home and have everything locked up. I've been really happy with the Frontpoint system and the support I've gotten compared to trying to work with other companies.

The system was self-install and there was an individual who helped me out to go through the installation on the phone. They had patience and they stopped by while I did the installation and made sure it was working. There was actually a lot of listening to me and it was great. The instructions were solid and fairly quick.
I feel good with the features offered with the system. I just bought one of the packages and extended the volume they gave us. Package-wise, I added additional sensors. And the smartphone features are sufficient and efficient to the extent that they become more integrated into the system. If the camera is looking outside, you can see that through your phone. All that stuff is better.
However, the term they've forced to me was three years and that seemed to be inflexible to me. It felt like their competition has done other things and in hindsight, I may not have selected them just based on the terms. I'm a renter. I can take it with me but if I moved to a place that already has an alarm system in it, I will be stuck paying them for another year and it's not a good feeling.

We had a different home security provider in the past. Frontpoint is very different from the previous one I had because the previous one was more locally owned. They owned the equipment and they did the installation whereas this one, it was all do-it-yourself. We had a couple interactions with the reps from Frontpoint. We had thought about doing this about a year ago and had contacted them and the only thing that was a little bit of a nuisance is they kept trying to call back and get us to buy and we weren’t quite ready to do so. But then, the second time around, we knew what we needed. It was a very clean conversation about what we want to do and it was just very easy.
Installing the system was fairly easy. The app walked me through it. The instructions were fine and very straightforward. I didn't have to work with coordinating with people to come to my home to install it. With busy schedules that can be challenging, I could do this on my own time. The only thing was that things weren’t well identified in the box as far as with a bunch of glass break sensors and it was hard to know which one went with which in the install software. Even so, the features of the system do what they need to do. We can access our system through the cellphone features and they're easy to use as well. And since having the system, we feel more secure. I have children and I have one who’s a scaredy cat and it has put her a little bit more at peace. I recommend Frontpoint.

He was pretty pushy, trying to outsell me a lot of equipment I didn't particularly want. But he knew that there were only certain things that we were looking for. He backed down eventually and then worked with me to get everything set up, 'cause with my home purchase, there were delays with the closing. So, it got behind and pushed back a few times. And so, they worked with me on that.
For the installation, I just followed the instructions that they gave me. And I got it down in no time. I have at one point encountered difficulty. It was when I was setting up the camera. I couldn't figure out what to do next and then, I didn't realize there was another part in that piece of that process. But other than that, it was an easy installation. I like the features of the system so far. But I have an issue with my doorbell cam. There was a guy who was telling me everything is wireless when you set it up and I thought it included the doorbell cam. But he didn't explain that the doorbell was wired. My house doesn't have a previous doorbell system. So, I haven't been able to set that up yet 'cause I need to get someone to wire through the doorbell. And the system is pretty expensive, but everything is holding up well. You get what you pay for.

I've used multiple systems and Frontpoint is about the same compared to others. The installation was fine, but the worst part was that my motion sensors weren’t active for three months and all they could do for me was give me $5 off for one month, although I had inactive sensors for three months and nobody said a word to me. That was upsetting but other than that, it's been fine.

I’ve had a home security system with ADT for quite a while but they kept going up in price. Frontpoint’s reps are all very polite and helpful. I got the basic system and I want to keep it that way. It so happened that my son was here and he and his wife are younger and can deal with the installation, so they did it. For them, it was easy. I couldn’t have done it. I would encourage my friends to check out Frontpoint.

This is the third Frontpoint system that I’ve put in and everything has gone pretty well. The system was well-priced and installing it was pretty easy. They screwed up one of the sensors though. They priced something to me and I ended up getting charged for something that I shouldn’t have been but they fixed it. It was just a misunderstanding that they took care of. Also, on my last system I had a main panel that they had to replace a couple of times because I had a sensor that kept false alarming. They went through replacing the sensor and that didn’t work. Then they sent me a board that I have to replace and that didn’t work. Then they sent me the whole unit. They finally got it fixed but it was a little nerve-racking. The system does everything that I needed. I have one issue with it though that we haven’t been able to fix yet. One of my sensors keeps going offline and their solution for that hasn't worked yet.

After doing my research online to see who had the best kind of mobile security, I went with Frontpoint. All the different reviews that I’ve seen on YouTube pointed to Frontpoint. I sat back for about six months to see how the company was, then they had a Black Friday sale and I jumped on it. Everything has been good from trying to get my camera installed and hooked up to the Wi-Fi. Every time I call Frontpoint, the reps have been excellent. If I had a question, they’d gladly help me out.
I was able to customize the package the way I wanted and I can add more to it if I want to so that’s an easy plus. I love the smartphone features as well. I use my phone for everything and I barely touch the actual Touchstone pad. If anything was to go wrong, I can use my phone to see inside my house very quickly through the video. And at my doorbell, I can see who’s there or talk to whoever so it gives me a better sense of security. I had ADT before and Frontpoint has been a big upgrade. Also, the price was definitely fair. The Black Friday deal was a bonus but even if it wasn’t for the deal, I still was going with Frontpoint.

I’ve done different researches and saw that Frontpoint was high up on several rankings. However, I was really disappointed because the salesman had promised me eight window sensors and two door sensors, but I only received eight sensors in total. When I told them about it, I was told that they couldn't give me those extra two sensors and that it's 30 a piece if I wanted it. And then another alarm system company had a special. I was still in the grace period and I had to use their offer as leverage against Frontpoint to get the extra two that I was promised.
They tried to charge me shipping and I told them that I wasn't going to do that. They said that they'd give it to me for free, which really upset me because we negotiated for something and now they were calling me a liar. But everything else has been fantastic. I like the quick response when I had technical problems and the system was easy to set up. Also, Frontpoint's price is reasonable compared to the other system. It was a decent deal and the system works, but one has to be careful with their salesmen because they may try to hose you.

I've had other home security companies before but after doing my analysis, I decided to get Frontpoint. Their packages can be customized and I like that the light and window sensors are small and that even when they go against the light, they couldn't be seen from outside. The price was good, although it wasn't the lowest., and I am happy with the quality of the equipment.
I set my own system up and it was easy. There were instructions online and I looked at the information provided. It was self-explanatory. And when I was done setting up, I needed the reps to verify that everything was sending signal. They set it in the computer for me so that it would all make sense. The reps were very responsive, helpful and informative. Whatever questions I had, they answered them satisfactorily. If I was having problems getting something set up, the guy just stayed on the phone until I kept working it through. Overall, I feel good about my experience with Frontpoint. I made the right choice since it's the system that works for me.

I wanted to get a home security system for the family and Frontpoint was a referral from someone that is using it. Their reps were very friendly and helpful every time I call, and there’s very little wait time for the customer service. The quality of service is great and the cost is fair. Also, the installation instructions were simple and I was able to do it in just about an hour. And, I like the app. I activate the alarm through the app every time and that helps a lot. I wasn't very fond of the contract plan though. It was three years and it’s a long time but that was the only time they had. I can get out of the contract but I have to pay a hefty fee. That's the only thing I wasn't very satisfied with but I'd still recommend Frontpoint.

I bought a new home and I was looking for a new security system. Frontpoint was one of the first people I called. My mother-in-law has Vivint and comparison-wise, it's better. There are more features with it and if your alarm goes off, they call you sooner instead of waiting to give you a call. Also, people from Vivint came and actually installed it for you, making sure everything was accurate.
Installing Frontpoint was a pain. The sensors kept falling off. The thing wasn’t staying underneath because the direction said to put it one way, which I had to ignore to put it in a way for it to actually recognize it. It was annoying. Plus I still have one sensor that I've not been able to put because of how my doorway is actually set up. They sent me another way which I will have to drill a hole into the door because it's longer. With Vivint, you didn’t have to do any of that because it just come in together right then. Also, Fronpoint has a doorbell camera which I ended up paying for. My original doorbell camera is wireless, and theirs is wired. Until now, I still have it in my house. The rep said I could send it back, but on the website, it says I'm still paying the same amount without having used anything. Apparently, they don’t do wireless doorbells which is a total failure. They should give customers some sort of option.
I have a full house and the Frontpoint system is always offline. I purposely disengaged my alarm to see how long It'd be getting a call. At one point, I never got a call, so I called them up. The guy said it was supposed to be good for 30 seconds, but it had been more than two minutes. I didn't think I was going to get a call. I'm locked in for three years and I'm paying $55. I've been receiving other offers and I wish I waited. If I wasn’t like locked in with my three-year contract, I would have just given up because the service is poor.

I recently moved to a new home and I purchased a security system because I wanted to protect my family as much as I could. I liked the price of Frontpoint and they offered great deals. Also, I could install the equipment myself. In addition, I've spoken with the reps several times and the customer service was great. The reps were very knowledgeable, friendly, and they were always available. It was very easy to install the Frontpoint system. They mailed a box to my home directly and everything was very neatly labeled, and there was a quick installation guide with step-by-step instructions. I could also download the app and I could watch it like a mini-tutorial. The installation instructions were really intuitive and very user-friendly and the system is working nicely so far. Actually, I received a malfunctioning keypad, but they sent another one within a day or two. So, my experience with them has been very good.
I just got the features that were in the basic package that they offer mainly because of the price and because these features were what I needed at that point. But maybe in the future, I will try to add two or three things and possibly use a couple of cameras at some strategic points, and include the doorbell camera. Also, instead of using the normal keypad, I may also upgrade to the digital touchpad. The quality of the security system that I have seems very high-end. But since the package that I use is only available for 30 days or so, I can't use the smartphone features. But if I upgrade to another package, then I'll be able to use the app. So far, the performance of my system has been good. It arms and disarms pretty well and it's working great. Moreover, the system is cost-friendly. For what I pay monthly, it's a bang for the buck. The Frontpoint system definitely adds more confidence and I can sleep better at night.

I’m a first-time homeowner and a home security system felt like something that we should be doing. Frontpoint had more flexibility with the contract itself and unlike a lot of the home security places, they had a very basic option which also translates to lower cost. I had lots of questions but their sales rep was responsive and helpful. He was definitely trying to push the package right above mine but I knew what I wanted. Everything else was good. During the installation, I had to call them once or twice to ask a question, do something or test something because somewhere along the way I wasn’t sure about something. But it was surprisingly as they said. Whatever time they estimated was about right, pretty easy and things worked.
I feel happy with the system. One time, I was on a little vacation and my brother-in-law was dropping something off and he forgot the code. He got a couple numbers mixed up on the code and the alarm went off. I got a call and I knew my brother-in-law was coming over that day, so I had a sneaking suspicion. So, I asked if the rep would hold. I didn’t want to not take it seriously but I also didn’t want to dispatch people if I had a strong belief that it wasn’t needed. So, the rep held on, I used my husband’s phone, called my brother-in-law. I could hear in the background, “Beep beep beep!” So, I told the rep that it was a false alarm. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint to a friend.

Frontpoint had really good rankings online. When I called them up, they were really responsive and as soon as I got somebody on the line, he walked me through the applicability of the package that they were offering. They determined what was appropriate for me and they didn't try to up-sell me. It was very straightforward. There was a promotion going on and they had a really great financial offer.
There was a little bit of trouble with the setup and I got through them right away when I called and they were able to help me right away. It was a really seamless experience. We just wanted the basic services and they work really well and the system was a very good deal. It was about 100 bucks for everything and the monthly service was in line with every other security system I expected.
We've had Frontpoint for four months now and just by having the stickers on the window makes me feel more secure. And when I have the system on, I feel very good. Though sometimes we would forget that the system is on and the alarm gets triggered. Other than that, everything is up to my expectations. I've been very pleased with the service and everything is as advertised. It was a seamless sales experience and an even better set up experience. And the quality of the system is in the top tier for me.

When someone came up and said that they were going to kill me the next time they saw me, I decided I should get a home security system to help protect me against that. I evaluated different companies and went with Frontpoint because they're off-grid and weren't connected to the main electrical system type so it would still function if someone wants to cut electricity or cable or internet. Their sales team was very good and the support team was great. I was worried about installing it but the worry was cut out when their support guy stayed with me and went through every single thing with me. The installation seemed so difficult at first but after the support I got it, I would tell anybody that a four-year-old could do it.
In terms of the features my system offers, I like them. The technology has a distinct sound to it, so I can hear it throughout the house if a door was to open but it was more of an alert and was not annoying. It also has some safe cards for my kids, and emergency buttons. I can just hit the button, and then it automatically dispatches a police or fire or an ambulance button. The features work pretty well with my phone and I can access it when I'm not at home.
Cost-wise, I put up whether I want to go cheap or go with something. From the reviews I read and also with what I experienced, I'm happy with its cost. It was a little bit more than what I expected, but it was worth it. It greatly enhanced my sense of security and I can sleep better at night. There hadn't been any type of intrusions and hopefully, that whole deal is getting done with. I will recommend Frontpoint 100%.

It was funny because I had an online confirmation and they called me all of a sudden. But they made things very easy for me and they were really good at offering special things like a base packet which I wanted. Frontpoint was a startup with really good reviews. I have a non-conventional background related to security and it was very impressive that the system would work and alert me even if someone were to cut the power to my house. I've had a couple of hiccups which were self-induced in some cases. But the system has worked and has done exactly what I wanted it to do. And I'm planning on expanding on it once I deal with some situations that have taken priority.
I have professionally worked in a call center, service center, help desk and tech support transformations resulting in a double-digit increase in completely satisfied customers. And I can say Frontpoint's customer service is world class! It is what I would utilize to give examples. I spoke with one of the supervisors after an interaction I had to find out whether or not it would be problematic for me to mention specifically how good the customer service was as part of the international presentation that I'm developing with one of the highest authorities in my field in the world to use as a positive example.
The installation was deceptively simple. I went through and I thought that couldn't be that simple. From the opening of the box, it said, "Number one, open this first." It was well done. Just last week, I had a brother come to stay and I turned off the alarm, then turned it back on. I walked out and closed the door. I've got electronic locks on the door. I got about three steps and my phone started ringing. It was one of the people calling asking for my security word. I received a call seconds after the alarm went off. It was completely my fault, but they were very understanding. And I’m glad that it worked.
The house that I'm currently in is a temporary situation. It's my father's home that I'm considering buying. But at the time, I was traveling Monday through Friday and my stuff was on the East Coast. So, I was not going to be anywhere near. Frontpoint had the proper amount of portability, flexibility, and ease. The way that I professionally calculate return on investment for multi-million and billion dollar projects slips over into my personal life. While it may have seemed a bit more expensive than some other and that there were cheaper options, if you were to look at it from an overall QFD or house of quality or critical to quality ranking, there was really no other logical choice.
My experience has been very positive. They believe that the issue that I was experiencing was I just needed a Wi-Fi extender which I ordered when I got off the phone and I plan to schedule it. It's sitting on the kitchen table and they said to give them a call and it will take a couple of minutes. They would tell me what I needed to do and it would take just a couple of minutes. It just slipped by.
I've recommended Frontpoint to multiple friends. I've told them about the ease of use, the monitoring, the ability to use your smartphone set the system. My adoptive parents are quite the technophiles. It's been a hard sell. I pointed out the fact that they could just have a front door or back door sensor and the key fob that they could crash that would set up an alarm. My adoptive father slipped and fell down. He bruised his leg and elbow. He pointed out that he was surprised how much trouble he had getting up. I had mentioned that it may be a non-standard use. It would be in addition to the security.

With Frontpoint, instead of just having a simple door with a key and lock, I now have a sensor that tells me the position of the door and then a security system overlooking the house so if anything abnormal happens, it's going to send out an alert. When I set the system up, it was self-explanatory and all the instructions are in the box. I called and they explained the system. It was straightforward. I plug everything in and turn it on. It comes pretty much programmed and ready to go. I also have them in another location and since I started up another account for another property, it came with a two-year contract and I got a discounted rate. It was a one-time purchase and a simple monitoring fee. I own the equipment.
I like its features. It covers everything I need and gives me the ability to have a video recording and monitoring of the doors and locks. I also like Frontpoint’s quality a lot. The video quality when you review the images is very good. It sends clear pictures. Also, there's a website portal you can log in that is easy to use and very straightforward yet it has the functions of a complex system. Frontpoint is a system I would recommend putting into anything. It is geared more towards residential and the pricing is geared towards residential properties than it is to commercial.

I bought a security system from Frontpoint last December. We live in the country and someone's building a home for second chance down the street and our backyards come together in the back. We have four-wheelers and different things there so I'm worried about theft and kids showing up here. Also, I have a nephew who's on drugs and he's started showing up at other people's houses, so we were worried about him too. I decided on Frontpoint because their system was a DIY system and everything was wireless. Everything that they offered I could piece together and they have different options for each door and certain windows. Also, I can add on to that if I want to.
The installation was very easy. Their instructions were easy to read and understand. I did most of it online, and then I had to call them and they walked me through different things and labeled them online. Then, I called them again and they turned each one on. A camera, however, actually has to be plugged into a 110-volt outlet and I don’t care for that. I wish that was either ran by battery or could be run some other way because I wanted to put that right in the center of my house, but I can't and I'm not going to run an extension cord down the hall to plug it in.
They called right away to ask if everything works like it's supposed to. One of the camera's adhesive came off and it set off. I called them about it and asked for new backings. Then, one of the keyfobs that I bought went bad so I called them two days ago and the brand new one came in the mail today. I recommend Frontpoint's system highly. Their price was a little high, but they're cheaper than most providers. I'm content with my system and their equipment is great.

Frontpoint was one of the top rated when it comes to security systems. I like that you kind of ala carte pick the things that you need and that the training was right at your end. They have some really fantastic deals. And the initial investment was not pricey at all. Frontpoint's representatives were so amazing. The sales guy was incredible. In fact, I also bought a security system for my office. And he was super helpful and then when I told him I needed to talk to him at the end of the day, he followed up and called me back. He was very upfront. He read me a lot of detailed information which was great, answered all of my questions, and was very patient.
Also, the setup was fairly simple for the most part. But this is an incredibly busy time of the year for me so it took me three months before I could even be able to install my home security system that I bought which was sad. They literally would call me every week and say, “We noticed that you haven’t installed your system. We wanted to see if we could be of assistance.” I would say “I’m so sorry. I’ve been very busy. Honestly, I haven’t done it.” And they would ask if it would be okay if they call me back later. And when I would tell them to give me another week, they would say “Okay” and then they've called me the next week. They weren’t like, “Your time is running out.” They were super understanding and they wouldn’t call every day. So they gave me a week and then they would call a week later. I’ve had to call them to make some adjustments and changes on both of the systems after I got them installed and they’ve been incredible.
The equipment got good quality. The only thing that I don’t particularly care for is that the panel has to be plugged in rather than being wireless. And I don’t know what other systems are so it makes it a little challenging as to where I put the actual panel. When I come in my home, there’s not necessarily a good place that has an electrical outlet, but I can adjust the volume of the ringers when the doors and the windows open and close. I can adjust the volume of lots of different things. I would certainly recommend Frontpoint.

I had the three-door system installed and our house has the window sensors or the breaking glass sensor if anybody tries to break glass in my house.
The price of the system was pretty fair, although the cost of some of the accessories might have been a little high. I love Frontpoint’s smartphone features because, if I ever need to do anything for the door or garage or if I forget to turn my alarm on, I can always check from the app and do it straight from my phone, which is a pretty good thing, very nice, and really handy. And I paid Frontpoint a third of what that local alarm company would have charge for an installed system. The two Frontpoint sales people I spoke to were knowledgeable and helpful. The installation was easy and the instructions were very simple as well.
As far as the alarm functioning, we have a smoke alarm that was fine. The in and out is fine. It’s just that we have a little bit of problems with connectivity because we have some cameras on the system and so sometimes, I can’t pull them up. When I called Frontpoint, they told me that it was more of a cable issue. So I have not really addressed it but not the cable for the internet. I have Comcast high speed internet. When I had run test before, they’ve had excellent speed. But the gentleman from Frontpoint said that I should ask Comcast for a range extender because the cameras, I guess, work on bigger bandwidth. I’m not really sure of the technology. He said that even though you have fast speeds, it’s because of the size of the information.

I was moving into an apartment by myself and I got a Frontpoint home security system so I could feel more secure because I work a lot. The installation was simple and the instructions were detailed. Anytime I've had to call them, their reps were informative and pleasant. When I was living with my parents, they were with the older ADT system. But I like Frontpoint better because it is wireless and I have more options. I’m able to remotely control the alarm system and turn it on or off from my phone. The Frontpoint security system is high quality and it works and its cost is great for what they offer.

I bought a security system for business and for the home as well. We were switching providers and we could install the Frontpoint system ourselves and that seemed easy enough to do. But Frontpoint's system is a little bit different, compared to that of our previous provider. Because the Frontpoint system is all wireless, some of the sensors don’t work properly when it gets very cold, so the system has malfunctioned a few times.
I just called Frontpoint yesterday. The panel was not working properly or didn't have a signal, so we didn’t have security service for a couple of days, and we didn’t even know that the system had gone down. That wasn't great because usually, with our old system, somebody would call to notify us if anything goes wrong with the system, but with the Frontpoint system a notification is given through email or text. I would have to get used to what's actually being reported or called by Frontpoint. It was in the middle of the night that the system stopped working and, if somebody had broken in at that time, nothing would have been done.
Other than that, the Frontpoint system seems pretty good. We did the installation ourselves and it was pretty straightforward, and the installation instructions were really good. The features offered in the system are good too. I use the Frontpoint smartphone features and those are great. I'd tell a friend or colleague that the customer service of Frontpoint is really good, but their system is not the best, product-wise, for Canada in the cold.

My dad got diagnosed with an Alzheimer’s and I need to see within the house especially in the kitchen or if he's sleeping when I have left the house. I googled and Frontpoint was in the top 10 and was number one on a list. Their customer service was very good. Everything was smooth from the girl during the installation to what they said they’re going to do or what I needed and when I need a help with installation and everything when I call back. For the first month, they gave me the camera use for free and I use it online. Now, I’m thinking about doing that package because it’s much easier to do it on my phone. This is my first security system and I can set the alarm and go when I'm leaving the house. There were a couple of times when my mom was roasting coffee and the alarm went off and I got a phone call from Frontpoint right away, so it was actually good. Also, I already recommended Frontpoint to others who have asked me.

We've had some burglaries in our neighborhood, and as I'm getting a little older, I'm getting a little more cynical about my security. So, I decided that I wanted to give my family that extra protection. I researched different companies that were out there and was interested to figure out who had the best customer service, who were carriers in our area. So far in my research, both online and research with other friends that did have security systems, Frontpoint just seemed like a company I wanted to contact.
The interactions with Frontpoint's reps were super friendly. The sales rep was easy to talk to and answered my questions. However, the sales representative moved right into payments, so it was a little abrupt. But I didn’t find the sales representative to be rude. I had sold myself already, so I wasn’t needing any sales pitch at that point. Other than that, the installation was simple. I had about 12 contactors to put on. Frontpoint pre-texted me, so I downloaded the app and followed the instructions on the app. Some older folks might have a little difficult time. But for me, I was already programming and doing that kind of thing. I'm pretty handy myself, so it took me an entire hour and I had the entire system hooked up and working.
For the features in the system, with the app itself, I don't see anywhere where I can configure the box to either beep or not beep when the doors open every time somebody opens the door. If there was a little more configuration possible, that would be great. Nevertheless, their system works and it's good. I'm really happy with it. The smartphone features are excellent. It's nice to be able to just drive away and log in with a fingerprint and set it. The cost is okay for now, but it could always be better. Cheaper is always better. But I knew what I was getting myself into, so the cost of the monthly security system is in line with other companies. When my family is home without me and if I'm out of town, having the security system gives me a bit more peace of mind. It has been a good experience with Frontpoint and I would recommend them to others.

Frontpoint's salesman was great and the system was easy to set up. I bought it as a Christmas present for my girlfriend, and she and I set it up. It was kind of cool because we set the system up, but I didn’t realize we had to activate it. Frontpoint kept calling me, which to me was annoying. But finally, I picked up and they said, “Sir, you never activated the system so it can go off. The fire department won’t come, we have to actually activate it, we have to make sure.” We then got it activated.
I initially looked around for home security systems, and I liked that you really can’t hack into Frontpoint's software because it’s based off a cell tower, whereas some of the other ones aren’t. And also, they had a great deal on the software. I got to sign a two-year contract, but it was fine. We just got the basic features that I thought we really needed, but I like that anytime we want to upgrade to a little bit more, it would be easy. I don't need to have somebody to come out, I just buy it, hook it up, and do it all online, which I like. I hate waiting on people, so setting up an appointment with somebody to do it is annoying as hell to me.
My girlfriend is a bartender and she works very late, and one time at 3:00 in the morning, she rolled in and there were two guys standing in her driveway. And it scared her so she drove around the block and called the police. She didn’t have to worry about the guys breaking in, though, because the alarm never went off. And when the cops showed up, the guys left, and she was able to go in. It gave her peace of mind that she didn’t have to worry about that. And then when she goes away to her parent’s house up north, she can activate it and not have to worry about fire. I would tell others to go with Frontpoint. They can’t go wrong. I had a great experience with them, and I’m getting rid of my Time Warner Security soon and I’m going to buy a Frontpoint system for my house within the next couple of months.

Frontpoint is an independent system. It isn’t reliant on electricity or phone and runs off a cell. I have a place in Detroit and a place in Baldwin and I can get good enough cell in both locations. We were referred to by my daughter and it fitted the needs. My wife dealt with the sales and she was very happy about it. Also, they are very patient which I realized in Baldwin. I had to do some modifications to the frameworks of the doors and windows and I was able to do that and get back with them.
The features are great. We know what's open and what's not. I'm in an apartment next to the office and anytime anybody goes in and out of those doors, I have something set up that chimes. I know when people come and go without having to stand out there and watch. And we’re talking about possibly looking at the cameras at the front. It’s absolutely worth it and I've been very happy with it which is not always the case I found in this business.

The Frontpoint Security System I hooked up at home made me feel secured. The features are good and I like them. The installation was pretty easy and their reps were friendly enough and were very helpful. I also ordered a security system for a commercial property two weeks prior to ordering the system for the home. I was crunched for time and they told me over the phone how to change the deal. I drive trucks and at that time, I couldn’t just stop and be pushing buttons, so I couldn’t change the deal, and they didn't make that happen. The security system for my home showed up first and it was clearly marked what address it was for and all the pieces and components were all correct for that order, but it wasn’t the one for the commercial property that I thought was coming first and that never arrived before I left.
I ended up going to the commercial building the last day and stripped that out and took all my tools out there because I had to go. Then I came home three months later and the system for the commercial property was down at my mail depot, but I had no need for it any longer and I would be returning it. Other than that, I’m happy with the system I got in my home and I plan on keeping it. When I left the house and was out of the area for a few months, somebody else was watching my house and was able to disarm the system for me when I needed them to do something, and the security system was simple enough to work.a

A home security system was required for my insurance of brand-new custom home. Frontpoint was recommended on the internet as being as the better ones on a survey of the best security system out there. I gave them a call since I have to get a security system on the house after we got our certificate of occupancy for it and I have to do it in 30 days. There was no problem during the purchase and I finished the installation within say an hour and a half. I don’t like security systems and my house is custom pre-wired for security system, but I don’t use it. I use the wireless system that I got from Frontpoint. It was cheaper for me to install it myself because it was a wireless system and it seemed to be simple rather than paying an installer. And they use my existing wire.
The features of the system are minimal as I got the extremely basic system. I have a problem with the glass-shattering device because I was told that I can’t mount it the way I want it because of the location so I deactivated it. So, I just have door and a couple of window sensors. In anyway, I don’t use the security system except for when I go away for an extended period of time. I pay $35 a month for the cost of service and yet there’s a lot of cheaper systems out there than the one I have. But they’re basically all the same and they’re all made in China.

I wanted a home security system to secure my home from theft and burglars. I was checking around and Frontpoint had a better deal, and the equipment is mine, so I can move it if I ever move again. My customer service representative was great. She was informative, let me know what I needed, what I might now be able to use, and when everything that we discussed came, it fits the house that I’m in. Installing the system was simple. Me and my son put up all the monitors, make sure they worked, and everything looked the way on the webpage and the guy showed us.
We bought all the equipment upfront, so the monitor fee isn’t bad. There are places that are lower, but Frontpoint's cost is still not bad, and I haven’t had any problem with the system from the start. With Frontpoint in our home, it secures my mind knowing that my kids are sleeping securely and that our house is secured. Also, being able to do everything from my phone gives me security. I need one more camera, but I’ll get it on Saturday somewhere because it would be a little expensive when I'll get them from Frontpoint. We really haven’t had a chance to really go through everything that the system offers, and I know there’s a little bit more, but we were just getting into the house at the time we got the system, so we just wanted something that would secure the house. And I’m secure with the way it is now. But if there’s more to it, we’ll find out, and we may add on.
My whole experience with Frontpoint up to this point has been great, and hopefully, everything will keep on going as it is. I recommended it to a couple of friends, because it’s simple, especially for people like me who don’t like a lot of other people in their home. You get to install the system yourself, and there’s not a whole lot of things you’re going to be installing.

I had ADT security in my old house and I was trying to go with something that is not a hardwire system and so I was going to go with SimpliSafe. But then I started reading the reviews on it and I got scared. So I looked again and settled with Frontpoint. All the reviews for Frontpoint were really good. I didn’t want a system that if someone got to it, they can just shake it up and then it’ll be disabled. Frontpoint had a strong technology where if someone was able to get to the pad, I will still be safe and secure. Frontpoint's system is in place that it could still reach the police department and the fire department.
My interactions with the reps have been pretty good. I got the system at the end of December but I haven't really activated it because in my current home the way I want my pad to arm and then disarm it, there aren't good plugs for me to plug in the keypad. I found a spot, but I couldn't mount it because I couldn't take the front off to screw the base down. I'm still trying to navigate that so I can put it up. Also, I forgot some of the devices, so I have to reintegrate myself with the ins and outs of the system. I have the system in my hand, but not on a wall right now. I hadn’t called Frontpoint about this but one time a rep called me as I was getting ready to walk out of the house and I didn’t really get a chance. I've only had maybe one follow up call since I got it.
But the installation, when I did that the first time, was fine. My back door was kind of funky, but I had somebody get on the phone with me and walked me around as far as putting up sensors and stuff like that. They were very helpful, and the features in my system, so far, seem pretty good. It's been a while since I went over everything, but I like the fact that there are some things I can do for my mobile phone. ADT didn’t have mobile interaction, so that was why I went away from them. Frontpoint's sensors are strong, very audible, and sensitive. My back door isn't working and I would probably have to get it recalibrated with the Frontpoint people, but other than that everything seems to be working okay.
However, I didn’t like the fact that Frontpoint is making me keep their service for three years in a contract when with other people I can cancel out very easily. And I talked to so many companies. But my biggest concern was safety, so I just went ahead with Frontpoint and I'm definitely not complaining. However, if there was one thing that I can change, it will be not having to ask for such a long commitment. Frontpoint is good to very good. I can't knock it because I haven't really taken the time to recommend all the perks of it. I agree with Frontpoint and I like the services and what they are selling, so I'm okay with it.

I recently purchased my first home and I didn’t feel safe moving from an apartment where there are tons of people. It scared me to have a house with all the exposed windows. I got Frontpoint home security system and I like the fact that it works over cellular data or cellular towers. If the electricity’s out, it still works. Also, the reviews were really good. The representative I dealt with was really nice and we had a great interaction. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and provided some sound advice. He didn’t come off as if he was just trying to sell me stuff for the sake of commission. So, I'm comfortable with the purchase in general.
I did the installation myself and it was really easy. I like everything with the features offered in the system. I have the glass break sensors, the doors and window sensors, and motion detector. So far, it works. I use the smartphone features more than the actual pad, and I like it. I had a false alarm where my dog knocked over a big aluminum trash can, it set off the glass break sensor. Luckily, I had just left the house and so I came back. When I came back, maybe within five minutes, the police were there. So, it's good to know that they also came in a good amount of time. It wasn’t an hour or four hours later that they showed up.
When I first got the system, the prices were more reasonable getting everything upfront than it is. But it was difficult because we hadn't actually moved into the house yet and so we were trying to figure out what we would need and we didn't know everything right then and there. I would like to purchase more glass sensors, but their price is high. They're over $100, which is a turnoff. I've been trying to decide if I really need it and I don’t really feel like spending on that as I can spend it on something else. Still, I've only been using Frontpoint for two months and the cost of service is reasonable.

I had ADT before and with the installation, everything had to be hardwired into my house on ADT. But with Frontpoint, it's mobile and the self-install took a very quick amount of time. Also, it’s so much cheaper to install than ADT and they have some of the best customer services I’ve ever experienced, from the sales process to technical support. And they provide a free month of service to the person who recommends them and the new buyer. We found out about them through a recommendation by someone who had them and we each got a free month of service which is a bonus.
We were broken into and we were vulnerable. When we called, we specifically needed Fort Knox and we explained what our needs were. They were like, “We think you need this and this. You probably don’t need this and this, and this.” It made me feel like they were very credible and it wasn’t like they were just trying to sell me a bunch of equipment. Anytime they call, they're very thorough and knowledgeable. If we have questions, we call them and they tell us what we didn't know. We get our resolution in one call and do not have to call back. And the quality of the equipment has been fantastic. We have two homes protected by them and we love that. We can turn the system on and off from our phone and we can get notifications about our alerts. Also, we can get arming reminders. It's super easy and I would highly recommend them.

We wanted to upgrade our home security system, and we auditioned three different companies including what we had before. At some point, we made a decision and we went with it, and they said that we had three years to go with it, whether we liked it or not, so it ended up. The one I had wasn’t a total sweep from Frontpoint. There are some things I wasn’t exactly happy with its kind of style and it was a problem with one of the other places so we chose Frontpoint.
The installation was fairly easy. I’m fairly competent, I’m a technical person, so I didn’t have a whole lot of issues installing and it went smoothly as I predicted. And, equipment-wise, we like Frontpoint's key panel. I didn’t like that it would have cost so much to protect all the windows and doors. Frontpoint said, “You need to protect the windows, they’re going to come in through the windows”, but with ADT, I had all the windows protected and the system would allow me to arm it without having doors closed or locked. With Frontpoint, I wasn’t able to afford to protect all of the windows. Now, I have to physically go around through the windows and make sure that my kids locked and closed the windows. Before with ADT, I knew if a window was open because they had a thing for it.
When we wanted to upgrade, we wanted to be able to monitor remotely and all three companies did that. And with the upfront charges, we didn’t go back with ADT because when I talked to three different salespeople, I got three different answers, and they refused to send me anything in writing or email me a quote so I can just do a comparison, so that was a huge negative. Everybody at Frontpoint has been helpful and great up to this point. However, there’s more interaction than I bargained for. I’d like to just protect the house, calling me when there’s an alarm, there’s a lot of checking up. And that’s appreciated, but sometimes, it can be a little much.

We got broken into on Christmas and we needed a home security system. Frontpoint was one of the first companies I called and I had waited before setting it up. I had about two weeks to figure out if I wanted them or not because I wanted to check around for some other ones. I was calling around identifying anything that seemed better. But I went ahead and purchased Frontpoint's service to get the deal that they had going on at that time. They were the best price that I could find and I kept them. The Frontpoint sales rep was really nice when we were signing up. The installation went well and it was a simple setup. I had a couple issues with getting things aligned properly but they waited for me to get it figured out.
I went with the standard package and the installation instructions were good. However, I didn't realize that there were little arrows engraved on the side that had to meet up. I had arrows on the same side that are not facing each other, so I had to take a couple off and put them back on. It might have even been in the instructions and I might not have read them all the way through, so I got confused. Other than that, the set up was easy. The features in my system have been nice, so far and we haven't had any emergencies. I had a couple of alarms where it got set off by maintenance people coming into our apartment and not calling me first so I could tell them there's an alarm. But luckily, I caught them before the cops came in. I have cameras that I installed too so I can check and make sure it's nothing before I have them call the police on it. The system works really nice with the cameras.
Everything worked well and I don't have any qualms about the system at all. Frontpoint's service is a $35 a month cost that I'd rather not have to spend but at the same time, it gets us a sense of security back, so it feels nice to have it. If I can get away with it for free that would be great, but $35 is really not that bad. And from what I've seen, Frontpoint is fairly priced for the service that I get for it. I've had a couple of other people from other home security companies come out and do quotes, and they showed me their equipment which was basically the same for the most part. It was just their price and a couple of features that were different. But for the price, I couldn't find anything to beat Frontpoint, so I've been recommending it to people that ask about them.

We moved to a new place and we have a two-story house, and I’m military, so my wife wanted a home security system. We did some Google searches on viewed alarm systems, and it seemed like every website we were working on listed Frontpoint, so then we looked into Frontpoint, and we really liked how up to date the system is with the touchscreen screen and the Crash And Smash technology that they have.
I've dealt with Frontpoint's representatives when I bought the system, and when I set it up the first time, and then when I had a problem with the doorbell, and all three times, their customer service was phenomenal. The installation was as easy as it could get. I downloaded the app and it literally walked me through step by step. The boxes and devices were all labeled. I just took off the stickers for the double-sided tape on the system, and I put them on the door like it said. And it took me about 10 minutes to set up our system. It was amazing.
Our system's features are really cool. The app is definitely what makes the security system. And the biggest thing that we use on this security system is the ability to arm and disarm it from our cell phones. We were worried about not using our security system enough, but the fact that we can actually turn it on and off through our cellphone makes us arm it all the time. It’s extremely convenient. It’s really nice that when I leave for work, my wife can immediately arm it. And while she’s upstairs doing the laundry, we can keep the security system on all the time because of how easy it is to set it and just turn it off. We like it a lot, and it definitely makes it a lot more secure with it.
So far, everything seems great. I have a doorbell camera, and it didn’t work, and I called customer service. The rep tried to walk me through resetting it and it still wouldn’t work. He sent me a new one within two days with prepaid packaging to send the old one back. Frontpoint reps were great. They were helpful and they answered any questions I had. Installation was very simple and very straightforward. Their features were good. The only issue was installing the outdoor camera. We haven’t done that yet because there was no option for hardwire. But their service has been great. My issues were taken care of.

I purchased a home security system as I thought there's a need to have one. I did my research and read a lot of reviews, and Frontpoint seemed like the company to go with. Everything's been very professional. They walked me through when I was installing it. I had several questions and they were able to answer them for me. And then when I was setting up the system, they were very helpful. Everything that I read was that it was going to be fairly easy. Also, I like the system's features, and it's one of the reasons why I chose them. It includes motion sensors, water, carbon monoxide, fire and glass break. It works very well. If I'm on the road and my family is at home, it's nice to know that they have a security system they could depend on. Frontpoint is good to work with and I would highly recommend it.

He was very knowledgeable, too. I had a lot of questions before we signed up and he answered them all. Installation was very easy too. I'd tell my friends to check Frontpoint out.

I had ADT prior to using Frontpoint and the latter has been a lot less complicated. Frontpoint is a direct competitor of ADT that is more appreciative of my business. Interacting with the people who work there has been a lot more straightforward. They send me what I order and everybody's willing to help me with what I want instead of trying to sell me what they want to sell. Also, it's very simple to install the system yourself. Frontpoint's staff can even help while I'm on the phone to make sure I'm doing things correctly. It took me 20 minutes to get things up and running.
My Frontpoint system has everything I need. It's more of a mobile portable system instead of a hardwired system like what ADT still offers. However, I still wonder about the long-term reliability of the system since most of the equipment runs on battery instead of being plugged into AC power. Still, now I can leave my home alone or empty and not be concerned. Now I feel better protected.

After 25+ years with ADT, our system was judged to be obsolete. Since ADT was re-quoting, we investigated other options. Frontpoint has had excellent reviews - about the only poor reviews are from people who want out of the 3-year contract for financial reasons. And at 70% of the ADT price, it was worth trying. The installation was very easy. The most difficult part was removing the old system components and making it look decent. The self-stick door sensors take approximately a minute each to install. The motion sensors took slightly longer since you have to mount with two screws.
The console took the longest time since I wanted to run the low-Voltage power to a secure outlet, and I also want to recess the console into the wall slightly (so it only sticks out 1 1/2" - not really necessary, but less likely to bump into in a busy hallway). The Frontpoint tech was very helpful in getting two additional motion sensors working that I acquired on eBay. The whole process took approximately 3 hours, mostly because of the mounting of the console. I don't have a lot of experience with the company, but so far it's a winner!

When I moved here in Arkansas from Northern Virginia I lived with my daughter and her family and decided to obtain a security system. Before Frontpoint, I had ADT. ADT was responsive when I needed them and they have very polite and courteous salespeople. But Frontpoint is better as far covering a security when the power goes out. My son-in-law did some research and he was able to tell me that Frontpoint is far superior than others.
Their sales rep pointed out the differences between ADT, Frontpoint, and Hometronics and he sold me on Frontpoint. He was very knowledgeable. Frontpoint is easier to manage than ADT. It's very easy especially since I can do everything via my cell phone. When I had ADT, I didn't have the capability of doing everything else on the cell phone like I can with Frontpoint. I’m happy with the quality of the Frontpoint equipment and its functionality is very good. I felt safe since having the Frontpoint security system.

I wanted a basic security solution for my family and my house that we just purchased a year ago. I was looking at similar solutions like ADT and also considered other automatic solutions like Google Nest. But Frontpoint turned out to be a better fare from the reviews from online. Interactions with them were all through a phone call, but they were pretty straightforward. The representative was very helpful and patient with me, trying to walk me through the different scenarios, what kind of equipment I would need based on the specs of my house and how much equipment I would need. I almost went with the three different cameras at three different points but she recommended that two would be enough. So, that kind of constructive feedback was really good and I appreciated that a lot.
She also has been very clear right from the beginning that there was no set package and everything is customized to suit the needs of the house and the family and I was very happy about that. She walked me through the house layout as to where the doors were positioned. All in all, I was surprised and happy with the way that the call went on.
Right after the sales call, I placed the order and received the equipment at home. The installation procedure was straightforward as well although and the instructions were clear. But I had a slight difficulty in positioning which side was up and down, setting up and installing the motion and door sensors. So, I called into support and the reps were very knowledgeable and experienced. They walked me through the different steps and I was able to sign up all by myself. If it were not for Frontpoint, I would’ve almost went through with the installation fee to have someone come over and set it up. So, I’m actually happy that I was able to do it all by myself.
I had problems with the doorbell camera on three different occasions so I had to reconnect and reconfigure it. But everything else was working. My wife and I have iPhones and have the Frontpoint security mobile app installed. In fact, we'd both use Frontpoint on our Apple watches going forward. So every time we head out of the home or head back in, we wouldn't have the get the mobile phones out. We appreciate the ease of use through the watch. But I wish they could have a better price. I'm paying $50 now but I wish it could be at least $10 less. But the quality is top-notch quality. The response times have been very good and they have been spot-on. Overall, Frontpoint's good.

Frontpoint sales team was great and they basically let me walk them through a verbal picture of my house, and they recommended a lot of different things. Instead of putting window sensors on every window in a room that had a lot of windows, they were like, “Why don’t you just put a glass break sensor?” It made sense. As long as the windows can be secure, I did not need to go outside of my means, and they helped me adjust within my means. Installation was simple, too. I, however, had to watch the video a few times to really understand what was going on, and that was time-consuming. But it was fair and detailed enough.
In my current set-up, my control panel is in the main living room. We had a trip sensor the other day. It was a faulty false alarm, but the siren went off, which I know is loud, but I could not hear it from my bedroom. Nevertheless, I woke up from my phone constantly making alarm noises through the Frontpoint app, which is really concerning. An external siren, or like light control switches, which I know are optional, were not mentioned off the bat as a possible option.
The smartphone features, however, are good. Sometimes, they are lagging and it is more of just like the phone line panel failure. As many times as they send a clear message signal to the system, it keeps popping up every time the system has a power spike, and it is just annoying. Nevertheless, the customer service is, by far, the best I’ve ever experienced when it comes to security systems, and I have recommended the service. I wish there were more ZWave products compatible with the system, though.

We want to make sure that our house was safeguarded when my husband and I are both inside and outside of the home. We already had cameras around and within the house, but we wanted to have something that would actually deter somebody from coming into the house. We did a lot of research and Frontpoint got the best reviews and we had a few neighbors who had gotten the system and they raved about it. So, we felt it was a good system and we have been very happy so far.
The first rep that we dealt with was very disappointing. She seemed very eager to sell us the system, but then wouldn’t respond after the purchase we’ve made. But that was the only disappointment that we’ve had with customer service. Every other time that we’ve reached out, it has been spectacular and the customer service has been stellar. My husband did the installation and I watched him do it. It was very easy and seamless. The instructions were very clear and all the boxes were labeled clearly. He only had to call one time for a question because the sensors were taken out of the box not in order and that messed us up a little bit when we were programming system, so we got that fixed.
Frontpoint offered a lot of great products and the features that we got are great. We got the glass break sensors, and the windows and doors sensors. We ordered a couple extra of the yard signage and the signs of the house because I really wanted a visual deterrence for anybody to even think about entering the home. I also love Frontpoint’s features on the smartphone.
The quality of the equipment has been wonderful, with the exception of one of the glass break sensors that got lost. I think it was just the adhesive on the back. We had an alarm in the middle of the day and my husband and I were trying to figure out what was going on. We were able to pull back cameras that we have and we saw that the sensor was sitting on the floor in the middle of the dining room. Other than that, I feel more secure having Frontpoint and we also got one for my mother.

Frontpoint's customer service representatives were very good, informative, and knowledgeable. We moved to a new house and we purchased a home security system from Frontpoint. The packaging was very professional, nice and intuitive. I wanted the online app and the ability to turn it on and off with my phone and to have communication with it. The app is really good, but it's based off of Alarm.com's power which is kind of standard. The system was self-installed and for a person of my abilities, the process was easy.
The only thing was Frontpoint was very hesitant to give up the installer code to add more sensors. And it was almost a battle and I almost canceled the service but luckily, the information was on the internet. I had to find it out myself, which was not really acceptable. I was extremely dissatisfied with that individual interaction but I'm very satisfied with my overall experience.

They were very knowledgeable about the products and professional.
My father was the one who installed it and he had a difficult time but we were able to get it adjusted afterwards. It took him a little over an hour but it wasn't done correctly the first time so then we spent about another two hours afterwards. I really like the mobile app. That's really convenient for me. I like Frontpoint more than I like ADT. Their customer service is better.
The quality of the equipment also seems fine to me and the smartphone features are great. I love that I can check it from anywhere. We were out of town over the holidays, and I was able to check my security system in it. So, it's really nice. I also like the fact that it's extendable like I can add pieces to my home setup wherever I want to. Also, for all the stuff that I'm getting, I'm very happy with the cost. Frontpoint is my security system. I recently purchased my first home, and I thought that a security system would be good. My parents were the ones who purchased it for me. My mom spoke with a customer service rep who did a great job and she was very satisfied with that. So, she felt comfortable purchasing Frontpoint. We also had another rep that we spoke to for several hours when we were installing the system because the instructions were not very clear, and those guys were very helpful and they walked us through it. Installation was easy once we figured out how close the two bracelets. It was time-consuming, so it took a while, but it was fine.
I like that there is an app that you can turn on and off as that is extremely helpful. However, I’ve been on phone calls before and I’ve pulled up to my house, and I can’t disarm my system from my phone until I end that phone call. The other thing that is a little different, too, is I haven’t received any phone calls when we do trip up the system, which has happened a couple of times already. I’m not sure if it’s like a certain delay that you have to trip it up for maybe more than 20 seconds or something like that before someone calls you. But that’s a little concerning, just because I do know what we’ve set it off a couple of times, just us coming through. It would be nice to know how long that delay is before it does call someone, just to know that there is monitoring that is happening.
Nevertheless, the quality of the equipment is good. I do notice that unless you are located very, very close to the home system, that the alarm isn’t quite as loud as I imagined it would be. It’s very, very loud coming from the speakers, and it kind of makes your ears ring when you get close to it. But if you’re located on the other end of the house, it’s not like you hear it beyond that certain area, which is a little different. I would imagine that if each sensor had a volume, that would be nice, and that would let you know too which sensor it’s coming from or anything like that. Also, it is a bit pricey for the way the system is currently designed. Still, I feel safe knowing that I have it and it makes me sleep easier. For the most part, it’s pretty good.

I like their mobile apps and the fact that I can control the system wherever I am in the country. The installation went fairly quick. The system was up and running within 45 minutes. Everything has been positive. However, I'd like to see them lower their monitoring fee because they're pretty much almost double than any other company out there. I'd also love to see some outside cameras in my home security system, but unfortunately, I can't afford that. Other than that, I love the system and I haven't had a problem with it. It's a great system for the price and it gives me an awesome sense of security.

I go out of the country a little bit and there's no one home for a week or so. I need to have my house secure. I looked online and found the best reviews that Frontpoint had and I saw one of my friends was using it, too. And he said the set up was super easy. The customer service I got when I called them was outstanding. The rep got me completely and he made me feel very assured of the product as well. He gave me his phone number and I called him when I had some problems with the setup itself and he helped me solve it instantly.
As for the installation of the system, you just pull it out of the box. There are a few sensors and you put them up in the right places according to the guide and the manual. And that is about it. You plug it into your wall and everything just starts going. Even the webcam, I just had to press a button on it. it synced up to my Wi-Fi and it was good to go.
I was able to customize my package completely. Whatever I wanted. I had already figured out where all the sections of my place that could possibly be intruded on. I decided exactly what I wanted there, so I got the motion sensor, I got a few at the windows, I got some at the door. Whatever entry point that I wanted to cover was exactly what the rep gave me, nothing more and nothing less. The bill showed the exact same thing. The quality of the equipment was absolutely phenomenal. I was in India and I could just log in on my phone and look at my house and make sure everything was fine on my cameras.
The smartphone features are great. I would like to see a more detailed log inside the actual app itself because I just love data, and for someone like me, I want to know every time any sensor goes off in the house or whatnot. Having the information, it's nice not to log in to a computer to do it. But other than that, the arming, disarming, all that great remote features, I love it. I do not ever have to worry now. I can be outside. If I forget to arm it, it's just a button-click away. And it's super secure. If somebody has to run inside, I can just disarm it real quick and then arm it again while sitting in the car. The quality of the service is so good, I wouldn't mind paying $5 more per month if that meant it was comparable rates. With Frontpoint, I feel safer. I sleep better now. The fact that even just having a little sign outside that says, "Hey, it has been protected," it reduces the burglary rate massively, which is nice.

Concerns about theft in our neighborhood led me to purchase a home security system. The system of Frontpoint was wireless and it seemed that they had good customer service. In the initial consultation that I had with them, the rep was extremely nice and very thorough, and it was a perfectly good experience. But the equipment isn't completely installed yet. I've put up all the components that I could, but I still have a few components that haven't been installed and I'm waiting until such time that I have someone that can help me put them up. I thought the outdoor cameras were wireless, but they were not, so those are not hooked up yet and I have to have wiring done in order to facilitate their installation. Also, I'd like to see some features like wireless cameras added to the service package that we got from Frontpoint.
We've had the alarm go off a few times before my husband could get to the place to put in a code to turn the alarm off and my concern has been if the system was being monitored since we've never gotten a call from the team at Frontpoint. Without testing the system, we don't have any way of knowing that it's always being monitored and we have to just trust that it is. Nonetheless, every interaction that we've had with Frontpoint has been good and the cost of the service is fair. I don't have any reason to complain, except for the outdoor cameras that I bought, but that was apparently my fault. Other than that, Frontpoint's system seems to be perfect.

My other home had Frontpoint and I liked how they operate, so I got it again for my new home. I also Googled the heck out of it for days to see who the best was, and they kept coming with reviews that didn't seem paid for. The sales guy said to give him a call or email and he'd respond immediately. I never ever heard back from him after he made a sale and got his commission, so he sucked. But after that, working with the technical folks, I've had a lot of problems with sensors that were resolved on the phone so those guys were awesome. Also, customer service is very responsive. I spend less than 45 seconds to wait for someone, and then they get right down to business and get the issue resolved.
During installation, Frontpoint was supposed to send a card with a code on it to activate according to the instructions, and there wasn't one. So, I looked everywhere and had to call, and then they gave me the code over the phone. Other than that, the instructions were pretty slick. We used the iPhone app which got me through step-by-step on how I needed to install the device, how far I needed to put it apart from the sensors and how to test it. I also like how I can use my iPhone or Android phone and access my alarm anywhere, anytime. Plus the new security panel is really good and a huge improvement. I used to have the old panel, and it wasn't as intuitive I couldn't put cool pictures and things on it. The system is very fair priced, but if there wouldn't be some ugly wires or some holes, I'd like to get cameras.
Overall I'm very happy that Frontpoint is available. I went almost six months without a security system and it worried me every day that somebody would come and steal all my goodies. I've been telling everybody about them 'cause here, they use Vivint Security and ADT and they're getting ripped off. I tell people all over that they can't go wrong with Frontpoint. It's been an awesome experience.

I'm away from home because I'm traveling and I got Frontpoint because of their equipment and the cost. The installation was rocky. It was fairly easy but we had to go through a couple iterations to get my door lock to connect. Some of the home automation stuff is not a great integration so the process was not as clean as I guessed it could be.
The smart features could also be a lot better. The communication between the website and the console itself doesn't seem exactly right. Example, if I want to set up a new user and give them console access, I can set them up on the internet, on the website, but then I have to go to the console itself to give them access to the console. We didn't figure that out for quite a while like my kids could set the alarm off. So that was a bit of a clunky thing. But it works okay with my door lock. I also didn't realize that the camera had no sound. At the cost of that camera it should have two-way communication. It was overpriced for video only. But I like having Frontpoint. Especially when I'm not there. I'm satisfied.

And then, the communication between them was easy too. They have very good customer service. The entire time we were working on setting his up, they would call if we were on a stage for too long, to help, which was nice. They were the same way when I was trying to do mine. I was pleasantly surprised because the first time we set his up, it didn't go easy as if you're having a problem from one of the readers to read. But with mine, it took me 20 minutes and I was very happy about that.
I have the doors, which is important to me. And then I have the motion sensors. However, it has gone off twice now when I was not home. But they called me and then they called the backup. And it has been really nice because they reacted so quickly. I'm very pleased with the system so far. It's also very affordable. I feel much better since having it cause now I can activate it from my phone if I forget to do it before I leave the house. I have access to look at anything if the sensors go off. The customer service representatives at Frontpoint were really helpful in helping me get everything ordered and walking me through the process. And then during the setup, because it was a brand new house, our internet was a little sketchy so they walked us through the installation and also the phone, which was nice because I couldn’t get on to the app to actually activate everything.
They spent a good amount of time on the phone with us to make sure that's okay. And then every time I've called with questions they've answered them quickly. They're very nice folks. I'm still using the minimum but I like that I can do it from my phone. I like the remote control. The security equipment looks good to me. I dropped it a few times and it didn’t break so I know it's a good sign and everything's been working as it's supposed to.
The price is much better than a lot of places you'll find. I talked to a lot of different companies before and had no idea that security systems could either have the installation fee be sky high or the monthly fee. This was kind of a nice balance in between. This is my first house that I bought. I live alone and I bought it myself so it's a little different than being in a small apartment on the second floor where someone had to work really hard to get you as opposed to being in a ranch by yourself where you just have to walk to the front door. So it's nice and if I feel that I forgot to set the security system I can just check it from my phone. I don't have to go out into the house if I'm already in bed or wherever I am. Frontpoint is a good experience so far and I'm happy with what I picked. It was easy to set up and easy to use.

The installation instructions were very clear and they also have telephone support. I followed the instructions to install the devices, and then they walked me through over the phone to set it up with the system. It was really good. The features are working great and I'm glad with what I got. I love the fact that I can arm and disarm it remotely.
The monthly security fee is a little bit on the high price, but it's worth the money. I'm paying for security fee and peace of mind. I feel safe with Frontpoint. The only problem that I have is that I don’t have anybody I can call and ask to run to my house and check what’s going on if the alarm goes on. That’s the reason why I set my alarm at stay instead of away because if it’s stay, then it’s just going to sense when somebody opens the window or a door, but not going to sense movements. Other than that, I would recommend Frontpoint. I'm happy with them.

I got a home security system so no one would break in. I liked the online reviews of Frontpoint. The reps were very knowledgeable and the interactions I had with them were very good and easy, and there was good communication. The installation of my Frontpoint system was not too hard. I needed to call the technician and he walked me through it, so that was pretty good. I would know whether the system works or not when someone tries to break in. If I open the door and I don't disarm the alarm, it goes off. So, the system works that way. But no one has actually tried yet to break in through a window and get in, which would test the motion detectors.
So far, the features offered in the system have been good. I customized my package a little bit as I couldn't decide where to put the motion detectors. Also, I'd like to include a few more motion detectors in the future. But right now, everything's fine with my package. But there has been an issue with Frontpoint's smartphone features. I periodically get email notifications that I'm disconnected from the network and I don't know why that happens. It could be due to something with their cellular towers. There has been a bit of a communication break between the alarm panel and their cell tower. But other than that, everything's perfect and the cost of the service is fair. Since having my Frontpoint system, I feel more secure that if someone was in my house, I would know it right away. It was pretty far out there compared to the other ones as far as in the lead of consumers liking Frontpoint best so I went with it. The sales representative from Frontpoint were fantastic. They were very professional, understood the urgency of how fast I needed it and even threw in overnight shipping for me. They went above and beyond.
My son is 14 and I'm in my 50's and we installed it ourselves. It was very easy and very quick. Anybody can do it if we can do it. I like the features. We like that it's very interactive with our phones and how we can see what's happening. But when somebody rings the doorbell it takes forever for the picture to come up of who's at the door so I don't like that too much but maybe it's just the speed of my internet. I'm certain that probably is the case. Everything else is great.
And I don't like that the cameras only have visual. They do not have any audio to them. So if somebody was in the house, you couldn't hear what they were saying. But the quality is great. I felt a whole lot more secure. I was in an abusive relationship with my husband. I had to put a restraining order on him so I felt comfortable now that I have this system in place. It helps me have peace of mind.
I would recommend it to a friend. I don't like about this system is that the monthly fee is expensive. But I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. But on the other hand, we still have not been able to figure out how to set up the cameras to record if they see something. But that's certainly my fault because customer service with this company is A1. They are fantastic. Everybody's taking care of us.

Frontpoint's cheaper than their competitors but I would like to upgrade the cameras and stuff and that seems to be pricey. But since having it installed, I feel safer. I’ve also told people to try Frontpoint.

The home security that we had gone out of business. So, we decided that we would go with a do-it-yourself system. The person whom we worked with spoke from experience and had a lot of good tips. She gave me great information it was like talking to a friend. She knew her business and she was wonderful. While, the installation of my Frontpoint system took a bit more than I thought it would, mostly that was just me trying to learn how to do it right and where to put the sensors. It was a piece of cake and it all works. Our customized package included cameras, glass break, and a camera doorbell. We also added a couple more sensors for the windows. It was all fairly priced.
My biggest concern before was waking up in the middle of the night and having somebody standing over me or walking out to pour the coffee and I would have somebody standing in my front room with a gun pointed at me. We have a downstairs walkout basement and someone could break the glass down there and I wouldn't hear it from the master bedroom. So, I got cameras down there and now, when I hear something, I take a look at the camera. I also have glass break sensors and sensors on all the doors and windows. Now I don't have to worry about that. Another thing that we bought is a garage door sensor. It tells me when that door is going up and down.
The main thing that Frontpoint has over Simplisafe that they can get out and they are checking my system constantly. They are also upgrading the security of the cyber system. On the other hand, Simplisafe uses a chip in the main panel and the only way you can upgrade the security of the system is if you replace all components. Furthermore, Frontpoint did a great job monitoring when we forget to turn on a few alarms. We didn't have break-ins except for ourselves. Also, customer service was great. I told them that I couldn't get the cameras to work and they worked with me on that. They spent about two to three hours with me on the glass break. Now, I know I picked the right group and I've been very pleased. They have met my expectations thus far.

Was contacted by Frontpoint Security while moving into a new home & given option to sign up for monthly services without ANY contract. After a few months I learned that while they have cameras & live feed. You have no live recordings or options of saving.. say a crime in progress. When calling in to reduce $50 service fee for basically providing door chimes, the representative stated that I signed a 3 year agreement on the equipment and I could cancel but would be responsible for the full 3 years in advanced.. No concern or effort made to resolve issue & would never recommend this product to anyone. Will go back to my Costco system with free service, tech support & recording abilities for up to 12 months 24/7.

I was away from home quite a bit and I wanted to make sure that my home and stuff was safe. The rep of Frontpoint answered all my questions really well and helped me figure out how much I would want the motion detectors and all that good stuff. I was very pleased. I then got three entries and one motion detector. The installation went easily and was satisfactory overall. Everything was really well laid out. I've been very happy with the quality of their equipment. I also like the app and the way you can enable and disable your system when you're not home. When I forget that it has that feature, it'll prompt me to turn it back on.
Now, I'm less worried if somebody's at my house because I know if something happens, I will get an alert on my phone. The only thing I had an issue with was during the process of getting everything, Frontpoint got a hard credit pull on my credit score and it made my score go down 30 points. But other than that, overall, I was satisfied.

We travel a lot, and sometimes there isn't anybody home. And I want to be out there and feel like everything is okay. My daughter looked Frontpoint up and she looked at the review. And she matched most of the review that she got and she said this was a very good one. When we first got the system, we didn't know how to set it up. It was confusing to me because I've never done it before. And I called and the gentleman on the phone, he talked me through it. I didn't know how to put the monitor up and I called, and he taught me through it. And everything worked out.
I feel good about the quality of the system. I've never had any issue with it ever since I got it. Plus, they have very good customer service as well. So if you have any problem or question, you call them and they answer your question. They don't rush you off the phone. I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint. I just wish this was a system that they could have come and set up, that I didn't have to do it. But it wasn't very hard and if I have to do it, I would do it again. I would recommend it to anybody,

I always had security systems in the last two years and moving from the rural area to more urban, I felt that I needed extra set of eyes and ears as well. I just decided to do away with my old system and wanted something more modern. I based a lot of my consumer shopping decisions on reviews. The reviews for Frontpoint were good and it was in my price range. I initially told the rep what I was looking for and had this sales pitch, but I pretty much knew the ones I needed. It was pretty straightforward. He was very thorough with me, and he gave me full disclosure. I didn’t feel like there were any games or any potential scams. So, that left me with their great deal of confidence. But I like to sleep on my decisions, so I called them back the next day and then they executed the deal.
When we called to get a system, I didn't feel that the customer service team was annoyed, but they were always willing to help. The person that helped me during the installation wasn't really an expert, but I was able to work around it. So overall, my experience has been good. The features are good but some of them like the cameras are expensive and a little antiquated. I want more up to date material and higher resolution cameras. And if I have a little more integration with some other equipment out there, I will do a lot more with it, but it can get expensive. For example, if I wanted to add another camera to my system, they also need to upgrade my monitor.
The smartphone app is a little laggy. For example, I have a doorbell camera and when a person rings the bell, there’s a delay for me to get that notification that I have to unlock my phone and unlock the Frontpoint. By the time I'm able to do that, the person is usually gone or somebody’s gotten the door. So it could be a little faster.
Frontpoint could go down a little bit on their cost. There's competition out there and Frontpoint wins in customer service so people are willing to overlook a few things, but if we compare apples with apples, there are some better stuff out there. But my family and friends like what I have with Frontpoint and they asked me to install it, and I said I'd do it. So overall, I'll recommend it.

We've been with Frontpoint since the beginning of the year. We had a previous provider. We switched because they switched companies on us and then the product that I had was three years old and they wanted to get me to purchase something more expensive that I wasn’t interested in. However, Frontpoint is higher in cost. Frontpoint is higher by at least $15 a month, which bothers me a little, but it’s the price I have to pay. Also, the initial set-up was difficult and the products sent didn’t fit my doors appropriately, so I had to take the magnets out of the casing and tape them to the frames and it just didn't look as professional in that sense. But that went well and we solved the issues already. However, one of the doors that I have comes up listed as a window on the little box and I don’t know how to change that. But I always feel better having the security with nobody being home and working all day and Frontpoint is worth looking into and giving it a try.

I use Frontpoint for business, and I have two of them -- I went back to buy another one. I got it because it is wireless and it’s easy to use. And I won’t say it was the most economical, but it was certainly affordable. Their sales and customer service people were very good, and the installation was pretty easy. It was more of a, “Read from the instructions and call if have questions”, but it was all very good. I had some questions, but they helped me set up to make sure that it was working right.
I have a pretty basic system and it works well. If you spend more, you'd get about basically the same equipment. We have had to replace batteries in the one at one of our stores for three years, and the other one has been for about two months. We also have the smartphone feature on one of the stores, and I have to get it set up, too, with the other one. With the equipment, I can see when somebody’s coming in and out the store, and I can set the alarm and turn it off on the phone. It’s pretty cool. It is doing its job in making me feel good, and this one is working. It is a good system and I would recommend it if somebody wants something that is pretty simple and easy to use, but works well. I've got some ding-dong employees and they know how to use it too, so that's also a good thing.

I already had a Vivint system in my other house and I Googled for a more cost-effective option and Frontpoint came up with great reviews. The salesperson was great. He gave me a personal cell phone number and was very helpful. The only challenge I had was I stressed that I live at the top of the mountain where cell service is not very good and they had to come in with Vivint and put in a booster and changed to Verizon to get it to work. And he told me that the system was automatic, that it came with both Verizon and it would automatically adjust and find the proper cell signal.
I have only been able to get it to connect at one time. It's in my garage in a box because it beeps and it can't talk to the base station. It doesn’t work. I travel and this is something that I haven't had time to call them about. I was in Europe for six weeks and I just got back. And it happened while I was gone. The person watching my house was not technical and did not want to deal with it.
I don’t know if the salesperson just wanted to sell it and didn’t listen to the fact that I told him that I had trouble with Vivint in regards to I live on a mountain where Verizon is the only one that works. I was very clear with the salesperson about that. They assured me that they had a very updated system and that they would ensure that the right thing was installed. I think that you're using T-Mobile which is never going to get signal up here. And I stressed that the same as all that it always uses one of them as well, but they had to switch mine to Verizon just because of where I live. I was out of the country during the trial period so I don't have the opportunity to return it. I would discuss with them how I can get out of this contract because I'm not going to use the service.

I've had Frontpoint for years and I switched recently one of the systems from ADT because I hated them. The service and the price was bad. Pretty much everything was bad. The package I got from Frontpoint was a configured setup that fit my needs really well and the features are excellent. The installation was quick too. Everything was up and running the same day, in the afternoon.
With Frontpoint, I get good service and I can get support whenever I need it. The representatives have been excellent and I love having access seven days a week. They've helped me out on countless times with an installation or a problem on a Sunday afternoon, which is invaluable to me. Price is not their best feature. There are some cheaper monitoring available out there, but not a lot. Still, the price is great for the features. I like being able to monitor the system remotely so easily with a computer or on my phone. The Alarm.com stuff is great and I use the smartphone features all the time.

Don't let the ratings fool you. Most of the ratings you see are for customers still within the trial period or have recently signed up. In the first few months, you'll be happy with their customer service and equipment. Some of the automation components are extremely nice to have. It's after you're no longer in the trial period and are completely locked into their ridiculous 3 year/80% term contract that the customer service starts to turn south. It is excellent up until that point, but after nearly three years of having this product there are a few things that people need to keep in mind:
1. The Qolsys equipment that they offer is absolute junk. It works for awhile but will start to fail after 6+ months. Almost every sensor in my home is failed at least once. The panel has failed several times and the best Frontpoint can offer is a replacement for the panel (which will fail again). The panel freezes, will not let you disarm at times as a result, and is subpar in terms of Z-wave performance (in comparison to competitor products).
2. Customer service will tell you that they will do everything they can to make the system work for you in your home and if they can't, "because of the company they are" they will not hold you to the termination terms in their agreement. This is woefully untrue...do not like their kind demeanor fool you...they will definitely hold your feet to the fire even if your equipment has failed time and time again. They completely ignore that their service is supposed to offer peace of mind and if you can't trust that your system is going to work, it somewhat defeats the purpose of having it...and paying their monthly fee. They will tell you what you want to hear until you've had enough and then they will stick it to you with their contract terms.
3. In terms of false alarms, due to the faulty nature of their equipment...you will have several. Also due to the faulty nature of the equipment, it's not guaranteed that when there's a false alarm, you'll be able to disarm the system. Please look at your contract, you will be held liable for any charges incurred as a result. They tell you that you are responsible for false alarms despite the fact that their equipment is extremely prone to going offline, false tampers, and unresponsiveness (so when you enter your home and need to disarm, good luck...it may not let you).
4. They sell their system as being able to meet the expectations of almost all homeowners. If you have a home of considerable size and enter at multiple points, requiring an additional panel, too bad, they don't have a solution for you. They have the Interlogix XT panel which is watered down and does not provide the same features as the Qolsys panel (can't do the home automation stuff from the screen). That's their solution, but the charge is still the same despite the reduced functionality and other drawbacks of that panel.
5. If you like home automation, look elsewhere. Alarm.com offers many integrations that Frontpoint refuses to support. After several attempts, I was able to get them to support my Nest thermostat, Schlage locks, and MyQ garage openers. All are supported by default by Alarm.com, but Frontpoint will not support them because they don't pass their "standards." I'll be honest, the only things that have worked consistently are the third-party integrations. The items Frontpoint supports are beyond inferior in comparison to the products they don't support.
6. They will do everything they can to get you to stay with them as long as there's no skin off their back. They like to use their warranty as a selling point...but they don't tell you that you're up a creek once your 3 year term is over. Then you're left with their faulty equipment and no recourse but to purchase new stuff, despite paying their monthly fee.
7. Frontpoint does not stay up to date with their equipment either. I've talked poorly about the Qolsys equipment because it is absolutely terrible to work with, but Qolsys has offered an improved/upgraded platform to use with Alarm.com and Frontpoint (according to their reps) has chosen not to use that equipment despite the increased functionality and stability (not to mention the ability to use remote panels that are actually supported by the vendor). They refuse to admit the flaws within the equipment that's being used to secure our families, our homes, and possessions...and refuse to look at alternatives and updated equipment to address those flaws.
8. The key takeaway is that if you're looking for peace of mind with a security system, you will absolutely not get it with Frontpoint. Our equipment was failing so often that we just quit arming the system altogether due to false alarms or failed sensors that prevented us from arming the equipment. For example, we had a door sensor that was of trivial distance from the panel. Once a week, the sensor would go offline. We would use the key fobs to arm/disarm the system and would find that the system never actually armed because one of the sensors not responding. There was no notification, of course. We didn't know it until we would come home and weren't greeted with the countdown chime. So my main question for all of you considering Frontpoint...**If you cannot count on your security system to protect your home and be credible...why would you pay for it to begin with? Why pay for it for three years?**
Bottom Line: If you care about having a credible security system, go with a different provider. Find one without a lengthy contract. Find one that doesn't use Qolsys equipment...or one that allows you to use the upgraded/updated equipment (i.e. Qolsys IQ Panel 2 and IQRemote). Frontpoint seems excellent to begin with, but you'll find yourself seriously disappointed and locked into an onerous contract with subpar support after three to six months (out of 36) of using their service.

I was looking around for something more secure. And I really liked the idea of the cameras being on satellite, and so is the wireless streaming of Frontpoint. But it hasn’t been to any advantage really. I'm having all kinds of issues with them. I haven't been able to activate it since I got it. It's constantly saying that this door is damaged, the deadbolt lock is damaged. Every time we go down we have to try to get support on because something's not working right. It’s our rental so if somebody is not there with me that has a phone, we can't troubleshoot it through the app.
What I have is that I had to have somebody put it in that is not part of the security system's people. Frontpoint made it sound so easy but it's not. It's a lot more technical than that and they should have come in, hooked it up to secure it to know that it is 100% secure. I was down there this past weekend and I had it. I wanted to find out what I had to do to get my money back. They said they didn’t have anybody to have it taken care of. It is the worst system I have ever had. It's $600 for the system that I paid for. And I'm paying $60 a month and I've had no security since I got it.

I recently moved into my home now. It didn't have a security system and it was broken into. I called at least three other companies before I decided to go with Frontpoint. Their rep, Mike, explained what they offered and went over the different ideas that he had for what I was trying to cover without being too expensive for me, which helped out. They ended up setting me up with what I needed to have for my house and got me everything ordered online. Shortly after I got everything, he called me to make sure that everything arrived good. He seemed very knowledgeable and pleasant that’s why I kept his name in my book. He even mentioned to give him a call if I needed anything else.
Years ago, I had an alarm system and it would go off every now and then once I walked around into a certain room that had the motion detectors. So I wanted to make sure that that wouldn't be a problem. So, instead of going with the motion detectors, we went with more glass breakage because to get in, they’d either come through one of the doors that have the regular alarms or open up one of the windows. I’ve got six entry alarms which were on four windows and two doors, and that left a couple other windows that I could use the sensors on.
Installation went pretty easy too. But when I was trying to pull the alarm that goes off if the glass is broken off of the wall, I knocked the top cover off a little bit. I didn’t realize it was supposed to be a certain distance away from my window if I had it next to one window. I went to cut through the double-back tape behind it and I dislodged the cover on it. When I replaced the cover back on it, it still didn’t want to work properly. So, I ended up having to call somebody and they set me through how to make sure that the cover was back on right. I had to readjust something on the inside which was really easy to do. And then once I got everything back on, it came on to where the system could verify it was back and it worked in order.
So far, it seems like it’s a pretty good system and I’m happy with it. I like being able to set and disarm it from my telephone, which makes it nice. And being able to disarm it before I get in the house makes it a very good convenience. So, if I’m carrying groceries in, I don’t have to try to rush in and set everything down, and get over to it before it goes off.
It does what I was expecting it to do. One of the alarms goes off when I don’t have the door completely locked. But I’ve got a little hook on it. Since it was broken before, I put a little heavy-duty hook on the inside on it just to make sure, if somebody was to try to pry it open again, it would catch. When I had it to where it was unlocked, one of the dogs had bumped it open but it didn’t open all the way because of the catch. I knew the alarm went off and Frontpoint called quickly to let me know that there was an alarm. I was only two minutes away from the house when it happened and luckily enough, it wasn’t anybody breaking in. It was just me not making sure the door was closed the whole way, so I didn’t have to send the police out. But it definitely worked well and I was happy with the response.
However, I have a different alarm code for my daughter. I thought that when she goes in and out of the house, it would give me a notice but it doesn’t do that. But it doesn't matter because she doesn't live with me. She just occasionally comes over and I always know when she's coming. I like Frontpoint's service but I’m on a limited budget so it would be nice if it was a little bit less expensive every month. But I know it costs them a certain amount of money to get everything going and it’s about the normal price for what all the different people charge for it. So, I’m happy with it.

We have used ADT in the past and compared to it, Frontpoint doesn't require a landline so I don't have to worry about an AT&T bill. The sales reps were polite and informative. They told me what I needed to do. I have the basic feature, which gives them a call or they call me when something happens. The device was easy to install. I just glue it on and they provide a double-sided tape to tape onto the wall. I haven't tried purposely walking in my house without disarming to find out if it actually works or not, but based on what the technician told me, it's working.
Being able to turn it on from my cellphone was nice, but that would cost more so I just stuck with the basic. I was able to try it for a couple of weeks and it was good. It was also easy to use. From the Frontpoint app, I was able to tell when the system was armed and when it was not armed. And I could remotely arm it, which is a good feature in case. It's like you drove out of the house and no one's home, but you forgot to arm. So, you just find time from the cellphone to arm it, which is quite convenient.

Frontpoint is better than the previous system that I used. The app in my previous system was very inconsistent and didn’t work the way it was supposed to work. But thus far, I have not had any issues with Frontpoint not working exactly the way they said it would work. I like the features and I'm confident with them. My family has gotten used to using their app on their phone because we don't have a keypad by the door. Also, I have five cameras already in my house but I cannot sync them with the system. I wish there were more cameras for the basic package plan. But the equipment was good quality.
Also, if I need assistance, it's very easy to get contact with people and all of the reps that I have spoken with have been very helpful. They’ve been very consistent across the company. The sales rep made the interaction personable and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me something. He listened to what my needs were and told me about the product that he thought would be best for the things that I wanted. We had to do the installation ourselves but once I and my husband settled down and focused on it, we were able to get everything installed smoothly. The installation instructions were easy to follow. When something didn't go as expected, we were able to call and get the support that we needed. But I wish the sensors for the inside would have the screw-in. Overall, Frontpoint is providing good service and I strongly recommend it.
We're happy to hear that you are enjoying that smartphone app and that you have received excellent customer service each time you have called in! Thanks so much for the wonderful recommendation and please let us know if you ever need anything in the future.
