I moved to a new house that didn’t have a home security system. I had more features with my previous provider but compared to what they were charging, I went with Frontpoint. My Frontpoint package includes a door sensor, windows sensor, motion sensors and the fancy controller. I installed the system and, overall, I’m pretty satisfied with Frontpoint.

I liked Frontpoint's reviews online and that the system was simple to set up. Their reps were nice and calm, and wanted to answer my questions and give me all the information. They offered just about the right thing that I needed. The installation of the system was very easy. They sent a kit that is explained well and everything was very well packaged. When I got the box, I thought that they were spending too much money on the packaging to make it look very attractive. It was a huge box with beautiful colors and many smaller boxes inside, and the actual equipment is very small. Besides that, everything was well-organized and self-explanatory. I put together the system and I called to get somebody walk me through the instructions, and everything worked really well.

The features offered in my system are good and simple to use. There are various options I can use. The system can be set up from the main box in the house and from cell phones that people have through their app. Frontpoint's app is very simple as well and straightforward, and I like it. They informed me of everything they had and I was able to choose exactly the features that I wanted. I can also add more if I want later, and the same for setting up the box inside the house. I’m paying close to $50 a month but I have secured all my windows and the two main doors at the house, and it’s worth the $50 to feel that my house is secure in the middle of the night. The cost is not that expensive at all.

I would tell my friends to use Frontpoint. It’s a very state-of-the-art and contemporary system different than others. Also, every time I called them, they were very helpful. They had to explain to me a few things about my system that I forgot or didn’t really know about, and they spent the time. They were very patient, so everything is very clear and straightforward with them.

They explained everything in detail and whatever conversation I had with them were good ones. I had long chats with them about sending the system and how Frontpoint works. The features are good and I have a flexibility on what features they provide. Those are the necessary ones for my system. I will definitely recommend Frontpoint to friends.

I needed to protect the house and wanted it wireless, so I went with Frontpoint. Dealing with their reps is fine and if something is not working right, I just call them and they walk me through it. I like the system’s smartphone feature except when the internet doesn't work where I can't answer the door. The doorbells just ring and I can't answer it because it says that it is having a problem. Also, it was expensive at first. The first payment was 900 and that was a lot. Nevertheless, Frontpoint has been pretty good overall.

We got some gangs around the area and I was concerned so I decided to get some security. I saw Frontpoint on the internet and looked at the ratings. They were rated number one. I had positive interactions with their sales team. I installed the system myself and everything went fine. However, I've had to call Frontpoint a time or two. I had problems getting my outside camera to mesh with my Wi-Fi and I was pleased with the answers that I got that worked out. I had to put a Wi-Fi extender to get the Wi-Fi to reach where I want to put the camera. Other than that, most of the equipment came already meshed or programmed to the control pad.

I like the available features. I also bought the water sensor. I put it where I need to install it and it showed the links together so I was pleased with that. Frontpoint's smartphone features are good too. I can view my camera and see what the system's in. I went ahead and bought a couple of keychain remotes and we put them in our car keys. It's nice to be able to turn the system on and off or activate and deactivate from my phone or with the remote. As for the cost, it's a toss-up and with Frontpoint, I'm not paying a whole lot for the equipment but I'm paying a little bit higher monthly fees for the monitoring. With others, you pay a little bit less fee but you pay a lot more for the equipment so it just depends on what a person wants to do and I like what Frontpoint had to offer.

I have bolts and trailers and a lot of equipment sitting around in my backyard. I had some stuff stolen about eight years ago. They took about $1,000 worth of copper wiring so having Frontpoint, I feel a little bit safer. I'm pleased with the service of Frontpoint. They're quick about shipping the stuff when I order and I'm going back to them to get another equipment. It's a good solid system and it covers all the issues -- motion detector aspect, the water detections, to be able to see who's ringing the doorbell and have access from remote places. It has a lot to offer. I have recommended Frontpoint to other people.

Frontpoint's rep took the time to go over each of the sensors with me. We talked about the house and he kind of helped me pick which ones were correct for my house. I liked that I could do everything on my phone so I went with them. However, I had an issue with one of the sensors. I called and they helped me fix it pretty quickly. I like the features of the system so far. I was able to get what I wanted out of the system and I liked being able to access the camera whenever I need to and be able to see an activity log. The cost is a little high but I haven't been able to find anything that gives me the same features that are at a cheaper price. I would tell friends to explore their options to see what works for them but I'm happy with Frontpoint so far.

I have a child and I wanted to make sure that they're safe while I’m at work and they’re at home after school. Frontpoint had good ratings, and the initial agent that I spoke to when I did my purchase was really good. He gave me the whole house system, including the indoor cameras and it was at a decent price for the services. He sent me all the information, and I can always reach him if I have any questions or if I wanna change anything. I have his cell, his email, his office number and his office schedule.

I had to call once to ask about the camera because when I got it, I forgot to ask if they monitored the indoor cameras. He was easy to get a hold of since as I called, he picked up. He helped me do each one of them individually, even though it was the same steps. The system is easy to use and I can monitor it online. I have the app and it alerts me if anything happens, like if one of the sensors isn’t closed. Frontpoint added one-touch features now to activate or deactivate the system, and they're really simple. You just tap the buttons and that arms or disarms it.

I was looking online to see which was the best security system out there and I came across Frontpoint. The installation of the system was easy and it took me 30 minutes to set it up. It's all double-sided taped. I have the touchscreen ones and they are nice, but I wish to upgrade to the app where I can alarm or disarm through an app. However, I've had an issue with the placement of the motion sensor. I move it to different places and it still triggers it for some reason. So now, I can't arm it "Away" and I arm it at "Stay" all the time.

I may end up getting some more window sensors to eliminate the motion sensor. The motion sensor is too sensitive, but aside from that, everything is good and the response is fast. The reps at Frontpoint were good. If the system failed or I needed something they were very helpful. Their customer service and their system are working great. I don’t have to have a landline. Everything works out cell tower-based and the pricing was fair for the basic service compared to other security systems.

I liked the fact that Frontpoint has been in business for more than 10 years. I also liked that I got a trial. Their price was cheaper than other companies without sacrificing quality and because of the way my income comes in, the sales team worked with me to make sure that I wouldn’t have any overdraft fees in my account. I’m visually impaired so customer service helped me to learn the keypad. They walked me through the different buttons. I had a problem at one point with my keychain and they helped me fix that too.

The installation seemed easy and in general, it was okay. However, I wish that they would have someone more familiar with alarm systems who would come out and do the installation. The person I had was somewhat familiar with the system but the motion sensor was put up in a place where it shouldn’t have been. The system's features are good. It would be helpful to know if the alarm is on or off when the status button is hit though.

The home that I purchased already had a home security system in it, and I wanted to switch to a different company. I read some good reviews on Frontpoint’s service. Their reps were polite and great. They were able to look me up and anytime I had a question, they were really quick with it. They never had to put me on hold. They knew exactly what they were doing. The installation process was very easy. I liked it because I did it myself as opposed to having somebody come to my house. It took a total of 20 minutes and I felt good about the equipment that I was working with.

I went for the basic package since I wasn’t sure how much it was gonna cost. Also, it was my first couple of months in the house and I wasn’t sure how everything else was gonna go. So far, the sensors and all the items have worked very well. I like that their sign is nice and bright unlike other security systems that have dark signs and nobody can see them from the street. So, if somebody was to go to my house, it’s easy to see with Frontpoint. I feel that my sense of security is very good. And from what I saw, the cost seemed right where it should be for what I'm getting. It has been a very positive experience with Frontpoint. I can do everything from my phone that if I'm not home I could always set the alarm or take it off if I need someone to be there. And I can give passcodes to specific family members if needed. So, if my mother-in-law was to come over, it would be nice and easy for her to get in and I could see that she came in.

There was a break-in in my neighborhood so I decided to purchase a home security system and my neighbor liked and recommended Frontpoint. It was easy working with their representatives. They were all great and the installation was easy too. My husband is an electrician and he did most of it. The only problem I have with it is we lose connection sometimes. I think it's a Wi-Fi issue, which we have worked with, and other than that, the system has seemed fine. I use the system through the smartphone app. I've also added several numbers and I didn't have any problem with it.

There has been a couple times when we’ve been on vacation and someone accidentally set the alarm off. It was the woman who was coming in to take care of our animals and Frontpoint called me. So we know that it works and it was actually a good run. It's been working fine so I feel much better in terms of our security. We also had the sign out in the yard when we first got the system. It was part of the whole thing because you would want people to know you have it. But the storm came along and blew the sign away so we lost it. But Frontpoint replaced it and it was easy. I like them.

I wanted peace of mind and I was looking to purchase a security system. I called ADT first and the guy I spoke with on the phone didn’t have much knowledge on their service. And then I called Frontpoint and the guy I spoke with was knowledgeable and he took time to explain everything about the service. He explained on the discounts and then he went over the various cases from Frontpoint service, necessary to those people who are concerned about their home security.

The Frontpoint equipment was sent to my house and then I did the installation by myself. One of the most important reasons why I chose Frontpoint was because they overnighted the equipment and it was easy to install by myself. I didn’t have to wait for anyone to come by and then install it. I’ve gotten a standard package and I wish they'd provide mobile apps for a cheaper price. I liked the smartphone features but after the 30-day trial, they said they are going to charge me 10 extra dollars, so I don’t have the mobile app at this time. Overall, the cost is reasonable and if people are thinking about options like SimpliSafe, ADT or Frontpoint, I would recommend Frontpoint.

    Reviewed July 24, 2018

Having a home security system is kind of a requirement when living in Memphis. We got it in case of any incidents and it is one of the backup things that we hopefully never have to use. I went with Frontpoint for their online ratings and when I spoke with their customer support, they were straightforward and nice. They were quick to make deals on the hardware point when signing the two-year contract. I called their sales team and I tried getting questions about the installation process, cost and cancellation fees. I was also trying to see if it was worth it on that front. It was helpful knowing that we could install the system ourselves because we didn't have a lot of time to wait around for install people to come in when it's pretty straightforward doing it ourselves.

The installation was smooth. They gave good instructions in their box on how to set everything up. The only downside was the 3M tape that they used on some of their components. We had one of their window break sensors and everything was fine for the first couple of months, but then, based upon what replaced it, the sensor was above the door, so since the 3M tape was the only thing that was holding on to it, the window break sensor fell off on its own one day. It set the alarm off, thinking someone was breaking in and there was no way to mount it. We didn't have an option where you can mount it and it was only through the tape that it actually stays on the wall. So, the police came out and we told them that no one broke in.

We were able to get it resolved but I had to call their customer support and talk to them about the window break sensor because it wouldn't allow us to set our alarm system and it was preventing us from setting it. It was saying that the door was open, but instead, it was the window break sensor complaining. They were able to help us fix it without having to send it in. Overall, the system we got has about everything that I would want. We went a route of paying the monitoring alarm system through them and then adding some additional security cameras on our own.

Also, we like the smartphone features. We use it to disarm and arm it all the time. It is one of the features that was unexpected that works out very well for us. We really like the convenience, being able to leave home and arm the system before we leave. Or if someone is coming over and has a key, we can disarm it without having to tell them the password.

Frontpoint’s cost is a little on the high side but comparing and going through other companies, it is worth it for the hassle with everyone else. I've already recommended Frontpoint to friends as well because they've had other security companies that they have not been happy with at all. We are more comfortable having Frontpoint in our home. It is nice knowing that we have the alarm when we are asleep and that if someone was to break in, it would at least wake us up from that and we wouldn't have to do anything to call the authorities. It would just happen on its own.

We were needing a home security so I did some research and Frontpoint came on top of the list. I tried to compare-contrast them with ADT and Vivint, but I still went with Frontpoint. When I first called them to inquire about their services, I spoke to a gentleman and told him I had to call back because I haven’t moved to the new home yet. When I called back, he no longer worked with the company. So I had to re-explain and talk about all the features that I was looking for with several other people. And so, I finally got down to receiving everything.

So far, I’m satisfied with their service. I’ve had several motion sensors before, but this is the first alarm security system of this magnitude that I’ve had. However, I had called in because I had questions about the equipment. It was set up and there were several false alarms. I asked for the swap since we were out for several door sensors. So there was that back and forth of the technical side versus the customer service due to the cost of everything and trying to come down to figuring out what was my best need. The customer service doesn’t have the same hours as the technician so it was very hard to talk to both of them at the same time to resolve an issue. At that time, I did not know much about the system and didn’t have confidence in it yet. But the technicians that were helping me through some of the problems seemed proficient and tried to be communicative.

Also, quality-wise, things are working well as is. The ones that I have up since I removed the sensor that was bad seem to work okay. I haven’t been able to finish the design of the motion and what door sensors that I wanted though, so I’m still at that point. I had several deaths in the family and wasn’t able to finish the full setup of everything. But eventually, I would have to talk to Frontpoint with regards to having an extra door sensor or extra motion that I wanted to swap out for the inset door sensor. I also have questions about the duration of the contract and the cost to owning the equipment versus being locked into a contract with the company for three years which I thought was a lot. But overall, Frontpoint's a solid company. Just be aware of all the things that you’re looking for before you contact them so the explanation and the package that you’re trying to build is complete versus the back and forth.

I just bought a brand-new house. I was searching around online to find the most economical with the most features and Frontpoint stood out for me. So, I went ahead and purchased the system. After I went online and requested more information, a customer representative called me two hours later. He walked through the diagram of my house with me to tell me which certain points I should set up the system. And then he went ahead and sent me the contract online. Then, I signed it and they sent out the system. Since I live in Hawaii, it took a little bit longer for it to get to me.

Once I got it, the hardest thing for me was setting up my video camera. It took a little while for my IP address to kick in but as I got that registered, it was good to go. Also, I saw online they have the touch panel but the system that he sold me didn’t have the touch panel, so I upgraded touch panel about a few days later. That came and it was a easy swap over. I haven’t looked back since.

My whole family got the app on our phones. So, I could be going to bed at night and I would click on the little app to arm it while I’m at home, or when I leave out of my garage, I'll arm the system and disarm it before I come in. And I can see my family at the house and talk to them through the little camera. So, it’s pretty convenient. Also, I have window sensors, a storage shed in my backyard, and a motion detector in my garage, so I feel completely secured. I’m completely 100% satisfied with my stuff.

I used to be an ADT customer, so switching from ADT and all the high costs, not to mention just the hoopla I had to go through to get it installed, I'm very happy for me to install Frontpoint myself and know all my equipment. As well as the upgradability of the system, where I could go ahead and get smart features if I want to interact on with my touch console. I’m really happy with this experience.

I wanted the crazy amount of security way more than anyone and I wanted a pair so I’ll feel safe. Frontpoint was definitely the way to go. The price of the equipment was so much cheaper and I didn’t feel that it was any less of the quality because I put it up myself. However, I had a little difficulty with the installation because the app wasn’t corresponding with my sensors, so I had to call and get it fixed. By the time I've gone to the next one, it has messed up again. The app on my phone was not working and I kept messing everything up and all the sensors.

By the third time I've called them, I told them that I didn’t have an hour for every sensor and I had 20 sensors. The rep said to just put them all on and that if they beep, they are working. He also told me to call him and he will set it all up at the end. It was cool but I don’t fully know all the features of the system because I have no time to sit and learn. I wanna know how to turn the sound of the alarm up but to call, I have my priority list and there’s not enough online help about that system. I have looked everywhere and they have sent me every PDF that exists, but those were their basic features, even the way we used it. I wish to have a user handbook with more of the features that are available on it.

When I was talking to one sales rep during our set-up call, I told him what I wanted to do and I asked how I would do it. He had to find out if we could do what we wanted to and he said that I gotta do it by doing those buttons. More online help would be nice, like a better user guide and videos. They teach us on the phone how to bypass the sensor if we wanna bypass, but we won't remember what they told us after a month and we can’t go online and find it. We have to call again.

ADT was one of the people we got, but things ended up on a cold trail. My friend used them and she said that their system was such a delay. One time, their alarm went off and their neighbor called them before ADT did. But when our alarm goes off, we got 30 seconds to turn it off, but Frontpoint calls before 30 seconds every time. I tried to stop it, but they called me too fast. I literally called to cancel it. So, the 3rd time I did it, I right away called to cancel even though I stopped the alarm thing, and it was silly they called me before I got through to cancel. The response time is super-fast and anytime I’ve had an issue, they have been super helpful.

When I had to set up the system, their reps were super helpful and patient. They were awesome. I've never really lived in a big city before and I feel safe since having the system.

Quality-wise it's also great. I haven't gone through a Canadian winter with them yet, but the thermostat control has been fine in the summer so far. The heat stays up in the cold, even though I put them on myself. The price is also extremely reasonable. The other places that I called that were listed on that list were super expensive compared to them for the same service. They've been really easy to deal with and they've been really reliable. I've had people ask me what security company I use and I said to use Frontpoint because they are so easy to use.

Frontpoint had a very high customer satisfaction rating on the internet and it was more of the type of system that I was looking for so I went with them. Installation was very easy to do and if I had questions, their reps were able to direct me through it quite easily. The instructions that they provided were very good. They were very good at walking me through the system.

I’ve had problems with my fire alarm. It got hot and fell off the ceiling because we were not there. And then, we just sat it up high in the home because I don’t trust that Velcro. It makes it hard because my son has to run over when I have a problem like that. And it did it again but I didn’t send the fire department over that time. We knew it didn’t fall down and we believe it just got too hot in there. So we’ve been running the air conditioner since and we haven’t had a problem. We just set it at 80 and that seemed to cure that problem. Frontpoint has good features. I'd tell friends that Frontpoint would make them a good system.

We already had a home security system which wasn’t satisfying to our needs so we switched. My husband did the research and liked Frontpoint. I called them once when I first started setting the system up and they were very helpful, nice, cooperative and patient because a lot of it required taking a picture and sending it to them. We also got all of the extra, like sticky tape which we thought might help with the installation.

However, we never got to install the system because it is a self-install. There’s a big gap between where the actual door frame is and where the door closes so we didn’t have enough foam to be able to stick it outward. We worked on a project to get more foam from Lowe’s. It's laying somewhere around the house but we never got around to it. My husband travels for work, I work from home and we have a two year old so the little project is very difficult. Although I haven't had a dissatisfying experience with the company or their customer service, I still wouldn’t recommend Frontpoint to a friend because of the difficulty to install. I don’t know if my friends would be up for that type of challenge. Also, I wish they had satellite installers. That would be something I would be willing to pay for.

A co-worker recommended Frontpoint and the person we talked to during the initial set up was super helpful. Then we did the installation ourselves and it was super easy. Frontpoint is also a lot cheaper that the other alarm companies and we probably don’t even use the features to their full advantage but what we use, we like. So for the value and the customer care that we’d gotten, we've liked Frontpoint.

I’m a single parent and my child is about to be driving age and I needed to purchase a security system to catch him if he’s trying to sneak out of the house. I did an internet search for the best quality for the price by consumers and Frontpoint was rated the highest. Their rep was amazing and he answered all questions. The sale was easy and there was no pressure. The setup was super easy too and we were able to do it by ourselves. There was one door that we screwed up and it wouldn’t connect and the customer service rep told us exactly what to do.

The system was laid out really well. They sent it in boxes that were clearly labeled and the instructions were very straightforward saying “Go through the house” in a specific order. So I knew where each number is located and it also identifies the security of Frontpoint, which door and number matched up with what. It was very easy to follow and it was very clear. Also, the little sticky things are easy to put on and because my windows and door jambs are white, it blends right in and I don’t see them at all.

The system has wifi capability and any window and door chimes as soon as it's opened and closed. It’s great to be able to set or monitor it while I’m out or unset it right before I drive up. We’ve been notified when my handyman has come by and I’ve given him the code that he forgot and he walked in. It’s nice to get the phone calls and it’s great to be monitored via the telephone because a cellphone is something almost everybody has with them 24/7. So far, Frontpoint has been wonderful and it definitely achieved what I wanted it to do.

I wasn't happiest about the installation of the system and part of that was due to my window construction, but some of the sensors took a while to link up no matter how close I got them to each other. And then, I found one sensor that has an issue in which if the sliding glass door's a little bit not closed, it won’t have an alarm. I've reached out to Frontpoint just to silence the alarm or tell them that it was a false alarm. Other than that, the control panel is basic so it's acceptable for the price. Also, Frontpoint's smartphone features are easy to use to set and disarm the system. Overall, Frontpoint is reasonably priced for a decent security system.

It is also cellular-based and not Wi-Fi-based. My whole house is a smart home and so the system works well in my house.

The interaction with the reps of Frontpoint was great. Their customer service was one of the reasons I chose them. The installation was easy as well. Although the biggest complaint that I have is having to prep the doors and windows twice to go to sleep to sometimes accidentally just press the doors and windows or motions. Another complaint is that sometimes if I'm on the other side of my house and I accidentally set the alarm, I don’t hear it for a while because it's a little bit soft. Even so, I like the quality of the system of Frontpoint. It is one of the better home security systems on the line right now with the price point that it's at and it has the mobility that you can take it wherever you want.

It may be a special webpage but it’s not on the card and it doesn’t seem to be accessible from their main webpage.

The system was easy to install and it should have worked but I got sidetracked. I’m still working so I’m residing in New Jersey and my wife was down in Florida where the system is installed. I never got a chance to test and arm it. When my wife tried to do it, it didn’t arm correctly. The Frontpoint reps tried to walk my wife through it but every time we arm the system, it goes off although it doesn’t show anything tripped. My wife has made four calls for this but that's understandable because she’s not very technical. And unfortunately, I'm not in a position to solve it. The system is still not activated and the unfortunate part is my wife is also up here right now. But the problem may well be our fault. The next time I get down there, I will see if I can straighten it out.

If you lose your phone and you're logged in, someone could get straight into your alarm. I think you should have to sign in every time you go into the app. I have one other suggestion. With our old system, when you put the code in, if you put the code in backwards, it signaled to the monitoring station that you are under duress.

During the installation, there were some issues with some of the sensors but that was just because our doors didn't align properly. I've had the system since February and Frontpoint has handled my business really well. If there's something wrong with the system and I call them, they can fix it. And if there's one of the home security boxes that aren't working, they'll tell me, "Yes, we can give you another one." Their reps have been really helpful and they know what they're doing. I was also with them on the phone the whole time that I was doing the installation. They told me to put this on this door and then put it on this so I can get the whole room. The installation was pretty easy except when I got stuck because it wasn’t recognizing some of the window sensors when they would open and close during the test. I called and I didn't have to go through a bunch of qualms or wait on hold for a long time to get in contact with someone to help me troubleshoot my equipment during setup and we got it ironed out.

The quality of the equipment is good but I wish their magnets were a little secure so that I could place the sensor and the magnet on two sides of the door a little further apart. I have big molding around my doors so it's not as easy to get the magnet close to the sensor when the door jamb opens and shuts. Also, once I go over my allotment of how many times the doorbell camera captures motion and stored the 30-second video on their Cloud, it doesn't save any more 30-second videos. If you don't buy a package that has enough space and if somebody breaks in your house, you can't see those 30-second logs so you're screwed and that's crappy.

I like their app. It's really nice but I wish that I used their security system just for the features of if someone broke in the door or windows. If somebody asks me about Frontpoint, I would tell them to get the lowest price and not get their doorbell camera. Buy the cameras on your own or do a DIY and just do your own security system. There's a cheaper version for better interface with the police and fire department. Once I get out of the contract, I'll probably go that route.

Also, the equipment's quality is good but the motion sensors aren’t that great. It's disappointing since the sensors will only pick you up if you’re trying to set them off like standing in front of it and waving your hands in the air like a crazy person. Outside of that, everything else seems to work okay. I’m happy with Frontpoint's cost. I received a Black Friday deal on the system which was cost effective for me.

I just called and they gave me a good package then I was on my way. They asked exactly what I wanted and what I had in my home then they gave me a customized offer. They offered me some sensors and the doorbell camera, and I was able to get all those.

They sent me a box and I got the system all set up. I had a couple of questions and they sent me some videos. In fact, every time I have a question, the reps at Frontpoint are there to answer. I also got an upgrade on my service so it was good. The installation with the adhesive stick was a bit difficult because I could only mess up once and I don't do it everyday. I had to buy an adhesive stick to put on the little sensors. But everything else was easy and the security system is very reliable. I've set the alarm off a couple of times. So far, the quality of the equipment is good and I like that the features offered in the system are super easy to use on the mobile app. I'm having a good time with Frontpoint and I'm only paying about $37 so it's not too bad. I'd definitely recommend them. I even got my parents the same system that I'm paying for.

We used Checkpoint in the past and we let that contract expire. Then we switched to Frontpoint since the price point was where we wanted it. We’ve also been broken into a couple of times so we needed the security system. Their reps were fantastic and any time we'd call with any kind of question, they'd walk us through whatever process we were in the middle of, whether it was the installation or trying to set up numbers. So, it was a really easy process for us. Now, we have a better idea about who’s coming and going, and how often the front door is being opened for a guest or if somebody is coming to the back door. And if somebody gets too close to the door, the alarm goes off.

I love the features of our Frontpoint system. I love the fact that it has a glass break and the motion sensors. Just in case I get past one of that, the other one is there to protect the house. We installed the equipment ourselves and we followed the instructions on the internet. It took us 30 minutes total to complete the installation and once we signed in to the app, it was as easy as it could be.

I like the simplicity and the price of Frontpoint. They did a good job, and they explained everything pretty thoroughly. I was then happy with my experience based on what they told me so it was accurate. The installation was very easy, too. I, however, have one complaint, which was related to the security cameras. They have to be on a wireless network that I needed to buy, but that was something that I was not made aware of. I thought that it could be used with cellphone towers as well. Nevertheless, I'd recommend them.

Frontpoint had good reviews and I liked the idea of wireless. I didn’t want to have people come in and have to get into the walls. Their sales person was very pleasant, knowledgeable, informative and I didn’t feel schmoozed with sales talk. I started to install the system and I needed so many repair people to come in and out that I thought it was a bad idea to do it. And then I had family come in and out. So that’s gonna be something I get to in July. But as far as the control panel is concerned the installation was easy.

I had a new home and I wasn’t familiar with the area. It's a gated community but I wanted to feel a little bit more secured. My father-in-law had gone through Frontpoint for two of his homes and he suggested and I just went with it. When I was setting up my motion detectors it went through sensor one, sensor two, sensor three and then for whatever reason my motion detector didn’t go from motion detector one, two, and three. It started of at four and went to five and six. There was no way that I can fix that in the app and I still don’t know how to fix that so it was kind of weird. I haven't had any time to tell them about it. But otherwise, Frontpoint was detailed enough when I installed it and the entire thing took 10 minutes to set up. The equipment is great and the system is straightforward and easy to use.

Frontpoint's customer service representatives have been good. When I went through the initial set-up and got the things worked out initially, my experiences were all good and positive. The installation was also very good. Everything was straightforward and clean. I ran into one little issue but I called them up and easily walked through. But I feel like their standard technology is old and outdated, and the cost is high, relative to the quality of the system. And I’ll probably do something when this contract runs out because I have had trouble with the camera. The volume works about half the time in one of them and they’re not always online. They seem to have to reboot quite a bit. So the camera operation is not the best.

The main control panel is also not up to today’s standards. It’s old and it doesn’t give you the impression of it being the latest and greatest. They have an upgrade but that costs additional money. The panels are also not attached and I don't necessarily care for it. But other than that, it works similarly to others. Their smartphone features are very similar to something I had before with another company though and that's pretty standard. There are things I don't like about Frontpoint but there some things that I do.

I'm a military man so I'm not home a lot. But my wife is at home so having a home security system is a peace of mind for me. I looked up online the Top 10 home security systems, and Frontpoint was number one on the list. I also talked to ADT and Frontpoint was a little bit cheaper. Plus, I like the fact that somebody from Frontpoint didn't have to come into my home to survey or set up the system. Because with ADT, they have to come in and drill. Then the overall installation was fairly simple and the instructions were clear. The only thing that I had an issue with was the motion sensor. It wouldn't really go off if one walked in front of it so I swapped that out for a glass break sensor. And the quality seemed just fine for what it needed to do.

The Frontpoint people were very helpful too. For a while, we were getting weird notifications like power line fail, but we didn't have any of those issues. So I talked to a technical guy and he seemed to fix it and we haven't had any issues since. Moreover, the cost of service is fair. Obviously, everybody wants everything cheaper. But for the ability to set and arm with my phone and monitor with my phone, it's a reasonable price. I would recommend Frontpoint.

They sent me the system that I asked for and then I installed it. It was very easy for me to do. There were a couple of times when putting on the door sensors that we had to make sure it was working. But otherwise, it was intuitive. They also called a few times to see how the installment was going and then they've had to call a couple of times when the alarm went off.

The system is very sensitive and it works very quickly. I definitely feel safer especially if I'm home alone. It's just me and my son and it's nice to know that if anything happens, there's a motion detector. Sometimes my cats would activate it but it won't stay activated. It would just beep because the cats walked across but hearing how sensitive it is makes me know that if anyone tries to get into the house or open the window, it would be picked up. The system is also very easy to use. I liked the fact that you can disable or enable it from the app or the key fob. The cost is fair too and the features I have are what I wanted. We purchased the Frontpoint system for security. We live in the city where it's a little wooded and there are not too many houses. My husband installed the system himself and he had no issues with it. Frontpoint's customer service was always prompt and they have resolved most of my issues as well. There was one time that the motion sensor was triggered off by the wind. I had been called where I was away from the house and said there was a burglary alarm. We had the police over and made sure everything was okay and I just found out to be a false alarm. The motion sensor didn't come labeled so it was tough trying to figure out what triggered it. Also, the rep didn't know better because he wasn't there with me, trying to figure it out with us. Eventually, we figured it out.

The quality of the system is okay but I wish Frontpoint could give us a lower deal. Even so, everything is great. We still do everything that we do, make sure all the doors are locked and all the windows are closed when we're out and when we're sleeping. We're still very security-conscious. We haven't become lax because of Frontpoint, but we're a little bit more at ease that we have something in there.

Frontpoint was more reasonably priced versus other home security providers, especially with the amount of experiment I was looking for. But there were quite a few times that their sales guys were not very friendly. Some of them were quite arrogant and I sometimes had to fight to get discounts commonly available on the internet. They would say they couldn’t do it and would check with their supervisor, and they would come back and give exactly what I asked for, which was a waste of time. It is annoying. Then the installation was a complete pain on the backside. It’s not really as easy as they make it out to be. I kept calling them as I kept installing stuff and I also had to change panels.

I’ve had the Frontpoint system for almost eight months now and I still have some sensors that are not working. They keep going offline every three hours and coming back online and sometimes the sensors are just simply not working. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with it, especially at night. I just bypass the sensors and go to sleep. Also, if you leave it connected, there's no gap when the door is closed and the sensors are essentially touching each other, and it stills shows open. So I have to rejigger it all the time to make sure it’s closed before I turn on the system. The equipment lacks some of the modern types of sensors like shock sensors, which others have started to do already. And the look of the sensor is old, funky and not aesthetically-pleasing, and I've had to deal with so many issues. It has not been the best experience. And if I were to do it again, I would not go with them.

The rep we dealt with was very informative and helpful, and they gave us a discount because we had a burglary or a theft. We were also trying to get a system quickly. The installation was easy and it came in a mail. I had a couple of questions, but I was able to call the 800 number. Also, the customer service representative was able to walk me through the issues that we were having.

Right now, however, we need some more batteries. We have small issues with it. And because the device is not mounted, sometimes that can be an issue because it has to be plugged into the wall. And since we have a toddler, he wants the cool things out of the wall. It's not toddler-friendly. The smartphone feature, on the other hand, works well, so I'm able to set it when I'm not home or disarm to let someone enter the home. I know our painter came once and it was armed. I was able to disarm it from my location, so I like that part.

We have a dog also, so he's our first defense. He's always barking. But I felt like Frontpoint was something good to have just because it keeps us abreast of things that may be going on in the basement, and we're not always down in the basement to know that something may be unlocked or ajar. So, I appreciate that part too. Also, mainly our door is unlocked, and we will be gone and will not know that the door is open, so that part makes me feel a little secure.

Compared to my previous home security provider, Frontpoint has been very good price-wise. I've never had cameras with the other company and that's the difference. Frontpoint wanted to offer me a camera to sign up at a cheaper rate. I called my previous provider six times about it and gave them a chance to lower their price but they couldn't do that anymore. Conversely, Frontpoint called me more than a hundred times to switch and they went down as low as $14. Also, Frontpoint impressed me as their reps always worked me through the procedure on whatever issues I had. I had an issue one time with the internet which was not strong enough. I had AT&T at the time and it was full strength to the outside camera. With the change to the other company, I didn't have that problem anymore.

Still, I wish Frontpoint had somebody who would come out to do the installation. The process is not easy steps as instructed. It is technical and we're not professional. That is a database job and I wish there was somebody to do that. With the other security system provider, I could always call and they send somebody out to do the technical part of it. With Frontpoint, they do everything on the phone and I don't even know what I'm looking at. But then, I have to do everything for myself.

Despite these issues, I like my Frontpoint system because it's unique. I have a camera and the system and I'm using the phone to work on all of that. With my phone, I can lock, unlock and see what's going on in my house. I've never had that with other carriers. However, now Frontpoint is going to change the price and I don't want it to go any higher than where I am now. Nevertheless, I've told other people about the system.

We're fairly new into the house that we're in and I was looking at various home security systems. I work in the security industry for the government at this point so I wanna make sure that the family is taken care of when I'm not home, especially when we're here at night. I got on the phone and talked to some of the representatives for some of the other companies and I didn’t like them as far as contracts go and how their systems operate if somebody wants to cut the power. I looked at Frontpont reviews and I liked what the reviews had to say. I also liked the idea of being able to set it up myself since I've set up systems before versus having to have somebody come over to the house to set it up for me, which is something I already knew. So, I ended up going with them.

When I got on the phone with the individual from Frontpoint, they explained what would be available, but I had already known because I've done some research online. The difference between the representatives from Frontpoint versus some of the other places was they weren't necessarily trying to push some of the equipment down my throat. They were looking to what my needs were and then taking into account that I do have expertise in it as a security professional. So we were working hand in hand versus someone trying to contradict just about everything I was saying, which I did experience in some other companies.

I had one issue though. One of the glass break sensors was not wired into a landline and every once in a while in the app, I'd get a malfunction notification, but that was resolved. The quality seems to be very good. We have a couple sliding doors so if it was left open to let the air in, I'd get the notifications, which is good for my peace mind when I'm at work and family is at home. It gives me an idea of what's going on and their response is quick. It's a very good equipment and the cost is able to stay low primarily because you can install it yourself if you are so inclined to do so with very minimal assistance. I also like the fact that there's not a lot of unsightly wiring involved. At some point in time, I'd like to go with cameras on the outside when the pricing is right.

So far, I've already recommended Frontpoint to several individuals that I work with and they also like the idea that you can install something yourself. I would definitely tell others the ease of installing the system if they really want to try it on their own or they have somebody on the other line that could run them through the process. Also, if you wanna get something, there's certainly somebody there to help you out and recommend pieces for you. And if the code doesn’t get put in in a period of time, there's definitely someone who'd get in touch with you and that definitely adds peace of mind.

We love our Frontpoint security system. I travel some, so I wanted to make sure that when I was on the road, there was an additional level of protection for my family at the house. Also, when all of us are out of the house, I wanted to have an additional local protection for our assets. We had iSmartAlarm in our previous house where it was a do-it-yourself system and no online monitoring. It was nice since I had a one-time charge for purchasing the equipment and no monthly fees after that. The downside was that it relied on me to monitor and get any notifications if something was wrong. The house that we moved into had ADT and when I called them, their cost was a little bit higher. I knew I wanted to go to something else that is professionally monitored.

I contacted Frontpoint and I expressed an interest in the system. They were very prompt in replying back and they provided quotations, but we weren't ready to make a decision on it. The sales individual sent me a follow-up email every day or two for the next week and a half or so after that. Also, when I've called their customer service with minor questions about how to do something on the system, they've been quick on the turnaround times, I wasn't on hold for extended periods of time and I've been able to get the questions resolved. So, I've been satisfied with the customer service. In addition, I liked the number of different pieces of equipment that I could get from them and have them professionally monitored. Plus, the cost was a little bit better than ADT.

I've got a number of Frontpoint's devices like the contact sensors for doors and windows, the cameras, and the doorbell sensor as well. All of them were easy to install, the installation was straightforward and it didn't take long at all. I've got some smart outlets too that I can use to plug lights or other things into and then, I can control the timings from the app. But there was one device that I could only set up and make changes through a web browser on a computer and not through the app. It wasn't difficult to do that, but it was odd that 90% of it could be done through the app which was a breeze. In addition, there was one specific thing I could only do on the browser, so there was a lot of time digging around the app trying to find it and then when I called them, they said I gotta do it on a web browser.

After I registered with them, I got a notification saying I needed to check with my local city and make sure that any registrations are permanent that are required by the city need to be taken care of. That wasn't something that I had expected on the front end, but it turned out to not be a very big deal. It's a $25 per year fee from the city.

Cost-wise, the monitoring side of things is not a cheap service, but it's not the most expensive either, so the cost is on the higher-end of reasonable. Other than that, everything that I got met my expectations. I wanted something that monitored the entryway and the doorbell because we order a lot of packages. I also wanted that we'd be able to see who knocks at the door late at night or what was going out there without having to go to the front door. I wanted some cameras that could look around the main spaces in the house, contact sensors on some of the main entryways and smart outlet things. Everything I've purchased has performed as expected.

I have enjoyed the security system when we were out. It tells me that the front doorbell has rung and I can check and see who's leaving the packages. I feel better when we're out knowing that it's on. If you are looking for a security system, you need to start by evaluating what level of system that you're looking for. Are you looking for something that has professional monitoring? Are you looking for something that you're installing the equipment yourself? And then based on narrowing that down, then you've maybe got three or four companies that will offer what it is that you're looking for. And then, from there, if you're in that middle category of wanting a blend of professional monitoring and do-it-yourself installation, I'd recommend Frontpoint. Overall, I've been very pleased with them.

I’m home alone a lot at night and we live in a secluded area. I saw really good reviews of Frontpoint online. I called them and I’ve made all my decisions and purchases in one phone call. The installation took an hour or two to put the motion detectors and the sensors up. And my fiancé didn’t seem to have any trouble with it. The equipment works sometimes and I think other times it’s not as sensitive as it should be. I’ve walked down my whole house with the motion detectors, with the alarms without realizing it and it didn’t go off until I walked in front of two motion detectors. And it had gone off in the middle of the night once and then early one morning, so we thought somebody was in the garage but there was nothing there. They just went off.

A couple of times that we’ve set it off I’ve gotten a phone call but other times I assume we just turned off the alarm too quickly to actually get a call. But their response was good. There's always somebody there that keeps calling and checking on us. We’re pretty satisfied with Frontpoint. I had the option to get more of the window sensors. I probably should’ve done that, but I think we can make do with what we have.

I was in the market for a home security system and Frontpoint was one of the not-too-pricey systems around. They have good reviews. During the sales, somebody went through the options with me and helped me see what I wanted. It was great. Then, during the installation, I got a lot of help. They walked me through it. I got the wrong panel so the guy that I spoke with was able to help me fix the problem. However I wish the price could be lower for the equipment. I wanted to get more sensors for my windows because I have a ton of them but the price wouldn't let me. But I'd recommend Frontpoint.

I like the fact there was certainty with Frontpoint and I didn't have to do anything. The rep that I talked to initially gave me some good advice, as far as which sensors I should or should not get or what most people typically do. That way, I didn't have to spend a fortune, like, "Oh, I gotta get 20 sensors for every single window and whatever." Then, they sent me a package and I was able to do it on my own time.

The installation was easy. I saw where it told me to go online to set it up and that was pretty intuitive. But I didn't understand, even though it's self-explanatory, the 'no delay entry'. So on the app, one day, I went and opened the door and it just started screaming at me and I had no idea. But that was the only time we've ever tried it. I could've just Google searched it, which I've done. Besides that, I like the overall system and I like the fact that I can build on it. Also, I have an Arlo camera outside, one on each entrance. So I feel safe with my wife and baby.

We got a home security system for our business to make sure it's secured. We had a security alarm but it was old-school, like ADT style, and were very expensive. On the other hand, Frontpoint's cost was pretty good. They also had the best reviews and their reps were all positive and weren't pushy. The installation went good as well. It took me less than an hour to install the motion and a couple of door senors because I'd rather do it myself than spend a gang of money on having a technician to do it. Their smartphone features are fine but I don't do too much on it besides checking the status and turning the system off or on. Most of the time, I do it manually through the console. But overall, everything's working out as I need or want it to be.

We just a bought a brand new house and my wife feels safer with a home security system. I did a google search and Frontpoint came out number one in several of the websites that I looked at. I did the installation myself and the instructions were was detailed to the T. Their team is there 24/7 to answer any questions and guide you through it, but you don’t even need it. All the things that they provide are so accurate and easy to understand that anyone can do it. Also, Frontpoint's team is very professional and quick. As soon as the alarm goes off, if it takes more than 30 seconds they’ll give you a call right away. They’re very pleasant and very good with feedback.

The doorbell is hooked up with an app on the phone so you can actually track it away from the house. They also have some other things like a door lock that works with the Wi-Fi so they can lock the door of your house. I don’t have that feature, but they do offer that if you want to. We have a doorbell camera and at first, the equipment was not capturing the Wi-Fi correctly because of the distance. I did purchase a Wi-Fi extender, but still it’s not operating as it should be. Frontpoint said they’ll go ahead and pass it along to their technical team. I told them yesterday that I was gonna buy a ring doorbell camera and the Arlo Pro 2 for the outside of the house. And hopefully in the future they’ll be able to do something with the equipment so they can be compatible. It’s compatible with a few equipments out but there’s so many that it will be crazy to try to be compatible with every single thing out there. But that would be nice.

I wish it would be a little more updated with regards to their hard drive. They only use the 2.4-gig and they should be able to pick more than 5-gig nowadays. But I’m happy that it works. I have a pretty big house so it’s still sustainable. Frontpoint should keep up the good work and hopefully they’ll continue to listen to the customers and make the system more up-to-date.

Their customer service walked me through the process and answered any questions I had. I installed the system myself and it was straightforward. Although I had a couple of unique doors that I got them all different hardware. The standard sensors do not mount to the type of door I have so I sent a couple back and got a couple of different ones. It was pretty cool. Also, I have a home security system in my second home and I got it for my peace of mind. I like Frontpoint’s system. The system’s features that I have met what I need and what I was looking for. But it would be neat if it has a driveway sensor where it alerts if somebody is down the driveway. Also, a camera that would have less outdoor limitations. Everything is good with Frontpoint. I have a rental property and I wanted to be able to monitor it from afar. And it was Frontpoint's monthly cost which attracted me, as well as the upfront cost as far as getting extra sensors. Installing it myself was another big point too. In fact, it was very simple to install. It took me an hour to do it. And, if I needed anything, I'd reach out to the guy on the phone and he walks me through parts. It was good. So far, I love its features. The biggest thing is being able to monitor it, as well as alarm it and un-alarm it from afar. I have cleaners that go in on a Sunday afternoon to clean. I just leave the alarm off during the weekend and when the cleaners are done, I turn the alarm on using the app until the next guest comes.

Other than that, I had a couple of false alarms with some birds flying by a window with the motion detector. And if the system goes off, within minutes, a rep calls me. I also have a camera set up there and I can look around and make sure no one entered the door or the driveway. Overall, Frontpoint's quality is the best by far and I would recommend it highly without a doubt. I just monitor the main doors. And then, I got motions in two floors and another main room. So, if someone comes through a window, they're gonna click a motion. It worked out well.

When we go on vacations, it feels better and safer to have a security system in place so we purchased one. I called a few security system providers and I was comparing them online. Then, I called Frontpoint and got information about their system and what they offer. They had really good reviews, their pricing was right, and they had an app that made everything easier. Also, I didn't feel that they were too pushy. They let me call them back when I felt I had done insufficient research, kind of "If you wanted, you can call us back. That’s absolutely fine.”

The installation of the system was easy and pretty simple. We did it ourselves. I just followed the directions in the box and I didn't have to call anybody. I'm happy about that. And the features are good. We didn't get several options of different tiers and we didn't feel like we needed a three-camera so, it felt that the tier we went with was kind of in between. We got the app which is really helpful and if we forget to take care of our system now, I can just do it from anywhere. And I like that you can check on it, including the history and if you have a sensor on the door, you can see when it has been opened, closed, and when it was last active. Also, the cost is pretty good and it's comparable to the other places I researched with $5 for the app which was worth it. Having Frontpoint gives a more relaxed feeling. At night when we're sleeping, we don't have to worry about someone sneaking in.

We’re a small company and Rebecca, our IT person, has Frontpoint in her house so she decided to do it for the business. I interacted with Frontpoint's sales team when I was signing up for the second location. We got set up within a few hours. And the sales rep was organized, sent me tracking information and walked me through what to expect through the process of getting the equipment, and then told me what to do once I got the equipment. I installed the system, and I struggled a little bit with the security camera which was the last step, but I called the customer service and they were able to walk me through it. Everything else was really easy.

The equipment's quality is high. And it seems to work really well. Sometimes, we’ll find that the system got locked at 6:30. And then my co-worker, Rebecca, will get a message notification so she can lock it remotely which is nice. I need to set the smartphone features up on my phone but for the other location, I’m able to manually lock and unlock for my phone which is neat. We’ve had a few glitches but their customer service is phenomenal. The wait times are really short which is huge considering that we’re a small business so we all wear many hats. And also, Frontpoint has friendly staff. There was one-time where we had to reset the security system hub and they were gonna send us a new one if it was defective immediately. But they were able to walk me through the issue. I would recommend Frontpoint. The price is reasonable and customer service is really solid.

However, there was a little issue initially. The smoke sensor was also needed but was not provided at first. I had a call and their reps understood my problem and it was taken into care. Still, they should provide more sensors.

Also, I wanted to see if someone is actually doing monitoring or not, so we did a couple of tests and the call came in within a couple of seconds. I tried the trial version of the smartphone features and I liked it, but since it adds $10 to what I’m paying them now, I opted not. But still, the feature was good. However, the cost of my package is $24 and it’s the same kind of package provided by other vendors who are charging $19 per month. So, Frontpoint should do something to stretch down the cost.

We are able to use the app a bit more and the system is not at all dependent on a hardline phone. The installation was all pretty straightforward and the Frontpoint’s customer service reps were really helpful with it and any follow-up questions. They'll also do tests to make sure that all the door and window alerts are all registered.

If it didn't work through the wireless network though, everything would drop and then automatically re-affiliated with the wireless network which was a bit disappointing. Also the system’s features are fine but I would like to have the option of adding more cameras outside and inside and not have it be a closed system so that I can decide if I wanted to have another brand. There should be a similar standard that can be used whether with a Frontpoint camera or something else. Besides that, everything has been really good. The system does what it does. I always do a lot of research on anything that I buy. I did an Internet search and saw what other consumers were saying about Frontpoint. I looked at the different lists of one of the many things that Frontpoint does, the top 10 of anything and this company comes up either number one, two or three. I saw the ease of the products that they offer and that I could see what I was getting. They were very upfront whereas everybody else was hiding what comes in their package. Also, the other companies wanted me to talk to a person before I could select what it was that I was pretty much looking for and I didn't like that.

After selecting Frontpoint, interacting with their reps was pleasurable. Their people seemed well informed and have a general concern about what's going on with my stuff. Additionally, instead of selling through the company, the representative told me that I don't have to buy specific pieces of equipment from them. For instance, if I wanted an extra camera they referred me to a cheaper option. A lot of people won't do that and would insist that I buy through their company. Still, they said they would help set up any equipment I get through Frontpoint.

The only thing I ran into that I wasn't offered was the premium version of the alarm system. I feel it should have been offered though I don't feel like I can afford it. I was thinking I was getting the premium panel but then I got a big ugly, chunky, useless panel in. It was a deal breaker because my wife and I weren't happy with the way it looked inside our home. So, I called Frontpoint and they gave me an extra two months to try the system out. Still, when I talked to their reps, they weren't pushy with it. They told me they could send the premium panel out and I could just pay the difference. They went above and beyond and I got exactly what I wanted.

Also, I liked how quickly the stuff shipped and how easy it was to set up. Installation of the equipment was also very simple. I'm pretty technical and I had no problem with it. But then, when I first put the sensors, I didn't mount it just right. I went to try and tape the thing off but then it pulled the paint off of my door. Fortunately, the sensor had some extra strips that came with it which I could put on another part of the sensor. Since, then, the sensors have been holding up and there have been few malfunctions other than whenever my mother comes in and forgets to hold the button down. I also liked how seamlessly it integrates into my cell phone and how easy it is to control the system.

However, the key fob needs to be improved because I can't tell if it sends out a signal or not. When I come up to the door, and press and hold it, I can't tell if there's a signal because I can't hear inside of my home. I can't tell whether the alarm is disarmed or not until I open the door. If it's on, that means that all the sensors and alarms would go off right away especially if I have it set with no delay. Sometimes, I have to be really close and it would work depending on the wall or network congestion or if there's a lot of WiFi or Bluetooth. So, I get a lot of false alarms. Still, the key fob with my wife seems to work because she pulls into the garage. Despite these issues, I like where I can control and then go and open the door, and then I have a little alarm and a little geo-fence which is pretty cool.

Another thing I didn't like at first was the three-year commitment. At the end of it all, I didn't feel so bad about it since I'm committed to something good versus something that I got pushed into. I liked how Frontpoint let me select and see how good their product is and now I know I've made a sound decision. Since getting the system, it has been good for me and I use it daily. My wife and I work all the time and we don't have any children in our home. She lives home alone at times and when she's there by herself, I wanted to give her a better sense of security. I'm ex-military and I provide my own security but then if people are going to take something, they will take it. Still, if I have have some video footage of a person who comes into my home then it makes the police's job a whole lot easier. It's cool to be able to look through my house and make sure everything's okay.

Additionally, I've automated my whole house. I bought all of these Nest equipment, such as a thermostat that's integrated into the system. I like how there's a snowball effect with my product that allows me how to maximize the expandability of it. It's good that Frontpoint works well with other companies like Nest, Ecobee and other things that I can integrate into their system. I'm a straight shooter and anybody would know that I don't just give out recommendations. Still, I want to give Frontpoint the accolades it deserves from my customer experience. I've gone to Best Buy and they have some of the little displays that are flimsy and don't seem very well built. Conversely, the sensors and stuff I have are rock solid and I can tell something of quality. I've been recommending this system to all of my friends. I've been more than pleased.

We had moved into our home and a friend of mine who got Frontpoint recommended it. I've used multiple companies before and the other companies were a little better as far as the quality of the equipment and the process in addressing issues and being able to have somebody come in and fix something when something goes wrong. I've had a couple of issues and the first one was around the sensor picking up our dog. We picked a specific set of equipment because Frontpoint told us it will not be impacted by the dog and when we first called to ask about the system, the rep asked what size my dog is. I walked the rep through how he's only 16 pounds and the rep said that as long as he's under 40 pounds, he won't impact the system. And so, I installed everything the way I was supposed to.

On the third or fourth week that we had it, my dog set the alarm off. And when I called them back, I had to go back home to my house and sit there for a couple of hours and have them troubleshoot everything. Eventually, what the rep told me was that my dog was setting the system off and it's not guaranteed that he's not gonna set it off. It was a bit deceptive for them to tell me that in order to make a sale and lock me into a contract, and then tell me now that it doesn't work the same way. It was aggravating.

Also in the past, I've had the equipment malfunction, where they can't figure it out. It required me to go home and sit there for an hour on the phone and troubleshoot things with them as opposed to sending somebody over to fix it. One of the door sensors stopped working and they couldn't figure out what was going on. So, they eventually sent me new ones, but I had to reset them. But at the end of the day, they could not tell me what was wrong with that sensor, so it was a little concerning because it made it look like a door was open when it was not. I've never had the equipment not work the way that Frontpoint has not worked with the other companies that I've had. Now, I don't have a lot of faith that if we're out on vacation that the equipment's gonna work the way it should.

I got a security system because of the option available and the ability to be able to pay on my own and with the way I wanted. I found Frontpoint's customer support very nice, especially the initial person I spoke with. She actually contributed to my decision to buy Frontpoint's system. She was very informative and patient. Frontpoint has also been helpful whenever I had questions, whether it be about the items or the technical stuff. I have three different equipment. And I started installing the first one on my own. However, somewhere along the way, my sensors were mixed up. I called the customer service and they were able to sort that one out for me. They took me through the installation of the rest of the sensors one by one. Then, for the second one, I did almost everything on my own. But I had a little issue with the third one because it has a lock switch. I could not add on to the system. But then they let me know that.

After doing all the tests, they told me my panel was probably wrong. They fixed that out and now I'm waiting for it. With Frontpoint, I like the ability to be able to go into the system and manage the stuff I need online such as the camera recording and the activity monitoring. I've used ADT before and they felt very rigid. Everything had to be done by the technician and I did not have online access to the system. So I feel that I fit more into Frontpoint and they are better because of that online ability. However, I don't like that I don't have the ability to record videos on my own device. They have a little bit of recording that can be done online, but I wish I could be able to do that on my own device.

The cost of the equipment was fair. I sometimes look up these items in the retail stores and realized that a lot of them are way below the retail value, which is highly appreciated. But then the service itself feels a little bit costly to me. I pay roughly 50 bucks for monitoring. I really felt like it should be about 50 percent of that. But I'm satisfied with my experience.

I just bought my first home. Since I grew up having ADT at my parent's house and was familiar with it, I felt more comfortable in getting a home security system from Frontpoint. They were also priced more competitively but are equal in quality to the other companies that I looked at. I also had a very positive experience with their reps. The installation of the system was very easy and the instructions were very clear. And I like their smartphone feature a lot. It's very practical. I usually arm and disarm the system that way most of the time. I feel more comfortable having Frontpoint's system. I lived a couple of months without it and I definitely find it worth the money.

However, I would have liked to have the ability to create my own custom instead of "stay or away", so that I could have specific sensors turned on and specific ones turned off. I have a two-storey home and so during night time I would like to be able to turn on my motion sensors for the first floor, but leave them turned off for the second floor. That way, if somebody were to break in through a window and it happens to be one that doesn’t have a sensor yet, because I have 40 windows in my house, then they would trip the motion sensor.

I went with Frontpoint for the features that it had and the overall functionality is pretty good. The base station is rather large and bulky. The mobile app could also be smoother and a little easier to use. It was almost like whoever designed it wasn't really using it on a regular basis. But there are no real major issues. I had some setup issue but I was able to get a quick help and resolve that as well.

I was promised a certain amount of contracts as well as a few other things. Never thought I would need to read in detail every word of the contract seeing how we had just discussed it and agreed on everything. When my equipment arrived at our home there was items missing. When I called to discuss it the rep with the company was no help and could have cared less. Take your hard earned money elsewhere...and you would think one would get a little info on equipment but, NO, none.

We've always had a security system and we moved into a new house and wanted to do something that had the whole house protection. I looked at several different companies and got quotes from several different ones, and overall, the mixture of the package flexibility of Frontpoint and being able to go through it and customize exactly what I needed helped keep the cost in line for the upfront equipment cost. Their monthly was also on par with their competition. I used SimpliSafe before and Frontpoint is good compared to it.

Some other companies don’t offer a trial period and we'd be signing up blind for three years. I liked that Frontpoint offered that and it made me feel more comfortable trying it out, dealing with the customer service, making sure there weren't any problems and ironing the ones that came up out before I was fully committed to three years. Frontpoint's sales and customer service have been great. I was a little confused at first with the instructions during the installation process, but when I talked to a customer service person and started running through them, it was simple. I had a usual number of problems with my system to start out with, but they ended up replacing and upgrading my panel to a different type and as soon as they did that, it fixed all the issues.

The features offered in my system are really good and I use the app a lot. A big one for me is that Frontpoint has the fire monitoring and when added that in, it was included in the same cost as to whether or not I had the fire monitoring. That’s a feature that several of their competitors tried to charge $5 extra a month. Compared to SimpliSafe, Frontpoint is a different level of equipment in terms of its quality and manufacturing and for what I pay, it's good. Once they upgraded me to the touch screen panel, it clearly put it a step above what I would be getting with other people.

One thing that Frontpoint and no other company has is a guaranteed response time. All they have is an average response time, but it doesn’t tell you how much it's gonna be every time something goes wrong. So far, when I have tested it, the response time has been longer than 45 seconds. Frontpoint could set something to reduce the response time when an alarm’s triggered and, if possible, put something in the contract that guarantees us that we'll get a call within one minute or whatever it is after the signal. We had some earlier hiccups and equipment issues but overall, I'd recommend Frontpoint to people. I've only had it now for less than six months and I'm wishing for continued reliability of the system and not having any failures and having everything work great.

There were constant emails and calls. By the time I reached back out to make the decision, she had moved to a different department, which was funny. The installation was very easy, but I had to call about something I was confused on. With the style of my door, it wasn't completely flush with where the sensor had to go. I did a lot of research on a reliable security system. I had a very bad experience with ADT, so that was out of the question. After seeing the reviews through different websites, even Google and calling, the experience was unbelievable. Frontpoint provides world-class customer service and consistency across the border. They explained to me every detail, how everything worked in terms of the system itself. I originally signed up with Frontpoint for my parents. My parents have been with them for about six years and I ended up signing for Frontpoint last December for my own residential home.

We dealt with different sales agents and customer service reps but they're very well-trained and all about customer satisfaction. It was satisfying that they take their time to explain details, even if it's a troubleshoot and there're many questions. I was a little concerned the first time I had to deal with the process of installing the system, but this time around, the experience was very user-friendly. I had some concerns and questions and every time I called, the reps are not rushing it through the call. The quality of the system is great and I love the features in my package. The system is very convenient and reliable.

There was a very minimum time that I might experience an issue and it was taken care of within a reasonable time. The system is for my residential needs and with the layout of my door, I was only able to put a sensor there, but Frontpoint found an alternative solution and it worked out very well. They're also good in sending the parts right away in a timely fashion. I like that Frontpoint has been steady for the past four or five years which seems reasonable. The amount I'm paying for the service is very affordable and they do different offers for the equipment. The more equipment needed, the more people end up paying. Sometimes, they have very reasonable and affordable offers, so I have always taken advantage of any sales promotion, either Christmas or Black Friday.

The experience with Frontpoint is reliable and the system is very easy to operate. The setup is very simple and I like the features. If they need to call you, they'll call you right away. They're 110% customer service oriented. I sincerely believe that the company deserves the recognition and that should not go unnoticed. Frontpoint is doing well and I referred two other friends. My brother also got involved with it and right now, I have a sister-in-law who was asking me.

The company I used before required something that I didn’t agree with and I switched to Frontpoint for the terms of their contract. I was a little bit apprehensive about the installation in the beginning because I had never done that myself. But it was fine after I got it all in place. The equipment's quality is also appropriate for what it does since I’ve not had any breakage at this point or malfunction. When there was a fire in the house, the smoke alarm went off immediately. On the other hand, I had spoken with another Frontpoint customer and he said that he had an experience where he’s had problems with his WiFi and when it went off, it triggered Frontpoint's system. He had gone home a couple of times and found the police waiting in front of his house. If it’s a technical problem or a programming issue with the system, I hope it’s been resolved because I’d hate to have that happen to me.

Nonetheless, I feel safe having the Frontpoint system in my house. I use the smartphone app a lot and I love it. I also had an interaction with their rep and it was efficient. I purchased a home security system for peace of mind. I looked at the other options and I wanted to have a cellular system, not a Wi-Fi system. I had a friend that had installed Frontpoint and had a good experience and so we went with them. While sales was good, their customer service was a bit lacking. I live in a zip code that crosses city limits and Frontpoint had it set up for the wrong city. I called and tried to get it switched and no one ever got back to me to let me know that it happened. The first time when I called back, it hadn’t been done yet. I called back again and it finally happened but, again, I wasn’t notified as promised. I was told that I would have a phone call to confirm, but that didn’t happen.

If I hadn’t been locked in a contract at that point, they were trying to charge me per service that I wasn’t able to even receive, and I was disappointed with that. They made a small credit, but I wanted to get out of the contract. If I got a security system again, I would probably not choose Frontpoint because of the contract. They make it easy on the frontend, but it’s like all these other companies. They got me and then the customer service is out the window. It’s not awful, and it’s not the worst I’ve had. I would probably consider a ‘no contract’ option at least. I recognized it might be a little more expensive but for some of us, once you’re in it, you don’t know in 30 days if it really works for you or not, and that’s usually the time. They also gotta get the zip code right because if they would’ve called the wrong city, they’re not gonna come. It made no sense to try to activate the system because it wasn’t gonna work.

I found that every time I get into a contract there’s no customer service which was my disappointment. While Frontpoint eventually got it right and gave me a credit for the time period that I wasn’t able to use the system properly, they never really acknowledged that they didn’t initiate the communication to verify. I said that we were gonna test it and that I wanted to make sure they were gonna read the number back to me because I had no way of knowing who it was gonna call without triggering it, and I didn’t wanna do that.

Nevertheless, the installation of the system was okay, although the mounting was a little too MacGyver for me. They sent me those little sticky pads and they looked ridiculous. It looked sloppy and the way the stuff sits on the wall especially with the doors. It doesn’t give me the ability to maneuver them exactly where I want them. Some of those pieces were fine and worked out okay, but some of them could do a little more fine-tuning on the install, although it’s hard to have one-size-fits-all when you’re doing it yourself. That was a little challenging and I had to rig a couple of things up by going to the hardware store to fix it myself.

The features offered in my system and the equipment that I have are fine. It’s not the fancy touchpad version that I have but it does the job. I used the smartphone features to monitor when people were going in and out and if they locked the door when they left. I was able to see the activity. The price per month is not terrible. They’re advertising out the upfront cost of the equipment package and if I’m making it really cheap on the frontend. It’s reasonable compared to other systems out there. Since having Frontpoint in our home, it has given us that peace of mind when we’re not here. And even if we are, it’s gonna trigger something and somebody might notice. The service and the product are ultimately good, but it’s better than average. However, it’s not the best in class because of the service.

The security company that we had at Mobile had cameras on it. And so we had a break-in behind us in the next neighborhood. My daughter called, wanted to know if we got a recording. I called that company and they said that the cameras don’t record and that was when I decided to go to Frontpoint.

The people at Frontpoint said that they will surely try to make the cameras work with the system there at Mobile. The only problem we had was that the doorbell camera in Mobile worked fine, but then it quit and my son-in-law is down there, so I asked him to call the support and he said that they went through everything and he disconnected, then everything else wouldn’t work. But other than that, my experience with Frontpoint has been great and the features offered on their system are fine and I could also operate the system from my iPhone. She gave me time to think about what I want so, it was a good experience talking to their customer service. They gave me a 100 days free trial. After that, I decided and used their service for three years.

The system was a self-install so they mailed me the whole kit and it was very easy and straightforward. I simply had to put some sensors around the house wherever I want it and then call them to activate the service. So far, we haven’t had any issues and it was good because there were several times that we forgot to disarm and they called us and was very prompt. They verified if someone tried to break in to the house and that it was just a false alarm. So, I have no complaint about the quality of service. Every time, it’s very accurate. Whenever we accidentally enter the door or enter the house, its alarm would trigger and they would give us a call. The response time was also very quick.

I asked them before if they had a security camera because that was also part of our security system. We had to purchase separately from another retailer. Frontpoint installed it and I asked them if they have one that can embed into the same system. They said that they do but I have to purchase it separately and it’s a separate package. It will be convenient if they all include it in one package and I don’t have to do it separately. We ended up purchasing our own and it’s not integrated into their system. But their smartphone feature is the best and the app is easy. Whenever we leave the house and we’ve forgotten to arm the security, we always use our phone. You just have to open the app and with one button, you can arm and disarm.

I am thankful to Frontpoint for their very easy to follow instructions and reliable service. I’m looking forward to more of their upgrades. The app is good to use but it might be that in the future, there may be a different look. So far, so good but there's always room for improvement. However, their service agreement is too complex and it's sixteen pages. But their reps did their best and the installation was easy. Still, I would have liked to add more motion sensors. Also, the cost of the equipment was a little high but that's okay.

I just bought a new house and I needed to frequently travel outside of the country. The ease of setup and the tool support made me go with Frontpoint. Also, I read really good reviews about the app. Then signing up with the program was quick. And the rep gave me a really good overview about what I would need and what I wouldn’t. The system was a self-installation and the online instructions were really helpful. I took around 30 to 60 minutes to get the installation done. I would rate it 2 out of 5, 1 being the easiest. I mostly only use the app to control the features, most of which are standard. The cost, however, is a bit on the higher side compared to the other systems. But Frontpoint gave me a starter discount of $200 on the equipment and its overall quality is really great.

We have a new baby and we were concerned about break-ins in the area that we live in. We read the reviews and the packages that Frontpoint offered and then all our interactions with their representatives have been great. We talked to them to set up the account or to purchase the system. The installation was good and my husband didn't have any issues. We customized the features where we put sensors on our windows and doors and a motion sensor in the living room. We also love the option of using the smartphone features. Also, the cost of service is appropriate and the quality is good. Now, I definitely feel more secure and safe. We're up in the mountains and we were really scared when our alarm went off but it ended up being nothing. We thought maybe a big fly landed on the motion and set it off. But it was nice that they called right away and they were able to put it on hold while waiting for somebody to check on it.

I moved into a new area that's not necessarily the best of places but also not the worst. I got a home security system as a deterrent and I chose Frontpoint because of the price and customer reviews. I'm an engineer and the installation was easy. While the features are good, my only concern is the fact that the range of the proximity sensors is really small. I could put them in a much more optimum position if their range was a bit further. Still, I really like the idea that I can buy the sensors individually and then pay a flat monthly cost. The safety for my family is number one, so it's good, and I would suggest Frontpoint to other people.

We moved into a ranch. I have three young kids and I didn't feel comfortable with them sleeping on the first floor without security. This house has many windows and a lot of doors. Frontpoint had really good reviews online and I like that I could do the installation myself. Also, it seems modern and up with the time because we moved in an old house with an old set up. I wanted something more modern so I chose Frontpoint. I felt like it was a good value and comparable to other systems. And then to purchase the system, I felt it was a good deal versus if I had to go to somebody else. It's expensive to put monitors on each window and door since I have a lot.

I moved into a new home and I wanted a home security system. In the past, I had a wired system that was installed in the 1980s, and I had a local central system monitoring company that was $200 a year. There wasn't anything more I needed to do other than pay them, and they would occasionally come out and check the system. Frontpoint’s sales and customer service were great. Although the installation was a little frustrating at first. There was a magnet that was missing, and I had to call for help to have somebody walk me through it. Also, the features of the system could be better and the system should come with either an internal or external horn that’s part of the system that’s not signaling from the touchpad. There should be a separate horn, so if I'm not around and the alarm goes off, my neighbors will know what's going on.

We were looking in security systems and Frontpoint was recommended by my home builder and it was comparable to other companies. Their customer service reps have been incredibly helpful and I've been very surprised with their level of service. We went with their standard package and the installation was, more or less, as advertised. It wasn’t easy but everything has its hiccups. It was a bit of trouble getting the magnets from the door sensors to communicate with each other since my dual frames are highly set over the actual threshold of the door. The sensor could have been a bit better designed to account for an issue like that. Still, I got it to work and the customer service helped. I use the smartphone features all the time. It’s the only way that I interface with the security system.

The cost is overpriced given that there are some other systems available. However, it wasn’t too overpriced to force me out of them as a service or product. But I’m also a little worried as to the three-year contract that I’m walking into. Nevertheless, using Frontpoint partly makes my fiancée feel more secure. Overall, their equipment is good and I would recommend them to others.

I was looking online for a security system and it was said that Frontpoint is one of the best security systems. The lady that was assigned to me checked up on me making sure when I was gonna purchase the house and when I was going to get a system. She was calling all the time and it wasn’t like she was harassing me. I did like that. Plus I liked the explanation about the system and why it is good.

I had to call technical support to get some more details on how to install the system but it was pretty easy. Furthermore, I had to call customer service a couple of times. A lot of information was sent to me but there were some things that I haven't heard from before like if something was wrong with the window sensor, the alarm will consistently let me know if something is wrong with it.

The cost was very good and within 30 days, I was gonna be able to cancel which we were gonna do but they took a percentage off which allowed me to make it affordable so I decided to keep it. I’m enjoying the system. The only thing is the problem I have with the camera. When I talk through it, sometimes I can’t hear anything from it.

I did some shopping around and overall, I like Frontpoint. Part of why I went with them had to do with how the alarms were triggered and being hard for someone else to disable the security. Customer service was fantastic and I was impressed with how knowledgeable they were. Whoever I talked to, they answered any questions that I had. However, I have a glass break sensor and it fell off the wall one time and it broke. So I got another one sent out and I put that up, and that one fell too. I don’t know if it’s an issue with my wall or those pads aren’t that sticky in general. The cost is about $10 too much because there are other cheaper options out there, but Frontpoint is worth it.

I looked at the other systems out there and Frontpoint seemed to be the most reputable and the salesperson I worked with seemed really genuine and helpful. Their product seemed like a good balance of modern features. We were using XFINITY Home through Comcast and I hated them. Their system was super buggy and overpriced. I compared the number of different factors and it led me to Frontpoint. Their sales rep was super relatable, friendly and I didn't feel pressured. She was attentive. She got me the best deal she could and didn't seem like she was faking me. She also seemed to have a really good product knowledge.

I did a self-install and as a techie, it was easy. But they proactively called several times to walk me through the install. So, even if someone like my mom who's the opposite in technical knowledge may have to do it, she probably would have had the assistance she needed to do it properly. So I was impressed with that. I talked to multiple different reps and they were all really helpful and seemed to know their stuff.

However, there were two things I was really disappointed by. I like the panel overall, but it has a bug. Apparently, they changed models right before I bought it. Bug works as communications failure which can be really disconcerting because it sounds like the alarm’s not communicating. It's like a glitch, so that was really frustrating. The manufacturer of the alarm should have tested it better before they sold it to the masses. Months later, they still hadn't fixed that bug. The other thing is that the motion sensors are horrible. I spent hours trying to find the other third-party motion sensors that would work with their system because the motion sensors they gave me was willfully inadequate. They had a very, very limited vertical and horizontal window. And even like 10 feet away from it, if you move away it wouldn't detect the motion.

It sucks because the camera's awesome. The software, the website, the alarm.com where you can control your sensors and camera triggers, all that's awesome. Then the door sensors are even great and the glass break sensors seem fine. It was just the motion sensor and the panel itself were buggy. I just moved into the old system, it’s in the old house in another state now. I'm gonna have to buy an alarm system again and I'd probably buy a Frontpoint again because I like all the things. But I'm still gonna work out the motion sensor thing because an alarm system isn't good without the motion sensors. So that's a point of contention.

Frontpoint's price is good. Compared to others, they're right in the middle, right about the same as everyone else. If you can get over the bug in the alarm panel, then it's okay because it's not breaking the functionality supposedly. It just says that there's something wrong even though there's not. However, the motion sensor's a crap.

We purchased a home security system as a necessity. My wife is oftentimes in the home alone and I just thought it was a good idea. I did a lot of research on the web and the customer satisfaction ratings with Frontpoint were above the competition so I went with them. It was a piece of cake to install. However, I did have an issue with a couple of the sensors. Some of my doors were more recessed than what the normal installation was. So, the spacers to mount the sensors weren't adequate on two of my doors. Frankly, I haven't resolved it on both doors. I need a machine, a couple spacers to put the sensors on so that they can't come in contact with the other sensors all within three quarters of an inch of the other sensor or it will not work. So consequently, two of my doors are not being alarmed at this point. And it's not a good thing.

So far, I'm happy with the system features. I've got a couple of issues though. One, the yard signs are junk in comparison to other brands. Quality wise, they're flimsy. They don't stay together well. They've got this little cheesy "Leave It" that holds the sign to the post. They're just not of high quality. And when you're competing with large companies, you need to step it up. A Ring has very nice signs in comparison to the ones we have at Frontpoint. The other issue is the alarm sound. If I accidentally set off my alarm, it's not very loud. In fact, if the doors are closed on, I'm not even sure if my neighbors would hear it going. The police are gonna come but the first deterrent if someone hears an alarm go off, they just get the heck out of it. But it's really not very loud.

We described specifically what we needed the system for, which is for our small business commercial space. We went over with the salesperson how many doors we had, how many entrances and exits, how many people worked here, and what our day-to-day is like. And he recommended the system. He said that we needed two door sensors and three cameras. He sent what we needed based on the description of the space.

We did the installation ourselves and it was okay. There were little hiccups and issues here and there so we were on the phone quite a bit with customer service. Then a few months into it we found out that we were using up our storage way too quickly. So I called back and spoke with a customer service person about that. They told me that the system was not meant for a commercial space but rather for a residential. They said that we have a lot of traffic so our clips are gonna be used up fast. And that their salespeople aren't techie so they wouldn't have known to tell me that.

I'm not a techie person that's why I'm counting on them to supply what I need. It’s frustrating to be told that the salespeople aren't techie so they didn't really understand what they were selling me. They should educate their salespeople better. I felt like I was in good hands with the salesperson and that they were understanding what I needed. And then, to find out that that wasn't true when I had already signed the contract felt very deceiving. I felt like the salesperson was really eager to make the sale and wasn't listening to my needs at all. They also need more transparency about their services and their product.

It's hard on our small business to be paying almost $70 a month for a product that isn't doing anything. It's basically just a camera on the wall now because their clip storage has been used up. And there are comparable cameras for half the price. I'm overpaying for the equipment and it has been a bummer. I'd tell others not to use Frontpoint.

The Frontpoint system is very affordable and more reliable and gives me more comfort in knowing that I can always use the app and see who has been coming and going. It's convenient and easy to use. Features are good. I like them especially the app. Maybe in the future I’ll look into a camera for the outside of the house. The sales representative was pretty knowledgeable too, and the first transaction was quick and painless. The installation was self-explanatory and easy as well.

But Frontpoint has an app that I can use on my phone which I like a little better. I called Frontpoint one day and talked to a gentleman that explained all features and sold me the product. He was good and he was thorough and he understood what he was doing. The installation was fairly simple to do and I was done within a couple of hours. But I had to call back when I couldn’t get one of the door sensors to work and they helped walk me through that. With the smartphone feature of Frontpoint, I can turn the alarm on and off and I like that I can set it when I’m away. Their system is great and it's worth the money.

My wife got a little concerned with a rumored activity in the neighborhood. A person she knows had gotten Frontpoint so she called me one day and said, "Why don’t you see about Fronpoint". I checked the pricing and it was comparable or better so I selected them. Initially, the rep talked me through the whole system. I explained my house to him and we designed the system, no windows but four doors.

The installation was very easy and simple. I put the sensors on the four doors, then went back to the control panel and followed the instructions. The system recognized that I put the sensor on the front door. We did that for all four doors. It reads the four sensors and if a door is open, the control panel identifies the open door if I haven't disarmed it. They have good customer service. Every time I call they were easy to talk to, easy to get a hold of, answered all my questions and solved any other problem.

We have the control panel by our backdoor so every time we come and go, we just turn it on. It has a silent button, so there is no sense having the thing beeping when I'm at home. The last time I called with an issue, the guy explained to me that hitting the silent button gives me two minutes to exit the house which is helpful. When you put the system on or you turn it off, somewhere out there Frontpoint is monitoring it. At $49 a month, it costs a little more than we thought it was gonna be. I just wish they could lower it. Nonetheless, we feel comfortable with it. I'm satisfied with Frontpoint and I'd recommend them.

I purchased a home security system to keep the house secure. I used a different home security system in the past and it had the same gear as Frontpoint. The main difference is with Frontpoint, when my alarm got tripped while I was out of town, they called me, but they didn’t leave a message or anything and they never called me back. It turned out my house sitter was coming in to feed the fish and she tripped the alarm. I was disappointed that no one from Frontpoint followed through on that. About 20 or 30 minutes later, I got an email saying it was tripped, but that was not sufficient. It could’ve been a burglar.

The only person I've talked to was the guy who sold me the system and our interaction was okay. However, he got my information wrong, so someone else had to call me because they had the wrong address and the wrong city. It was also annoying. The installation was easy and the overall features that are offered with our system are okay. However, I wouldn't recommend Frontpoint because the other service had greater follow-through and more intensive monitoring. When we had alarms tripped in the past by our dog walker, they were vigilant about contacting us until it was resolved. Frontpoint's lawn sign is also very flimsy and it doesn’t hold up whereas I had a Brink’s lawn sign and it was really sturdy.
