    My wife and I bought a place and we have never had any security service in the past. And so she was interested in me looking into them, so I started looking into a whole bunch of different options and then I eventually settled on Frontpoint. However, setting up their device was not as easy as I was expecting it to be. They’re little battery powered things that we stick around the house but they’re quite sensitive to how they’re positioned. And because people like door frames or walls, it just might not always be laid out in a way that’s easy. It was very hard for me to find spots where these things fit properly. I’ve had many interactions with their reps on the phone and they're always very friendly, not always super knowledgeable though.

    Unexpectedly, the thing that I liked about it was we had a whole bunch of renovations done on our place over the summer and it was cool to use the system to know when the guys arrived, when they were on the second floor and when they were leaving. It was nice to keep an eye on our house without being there. So that was fun and that’s outside of the security function which I like. It’s nice to have. On the other hand, I’ve experienced numerous problems with the system and it’s very hard for me to reach anybody who doesn’t just want to troubleshoot the problems with me. However, to their credit, I like that they’re trying to fix it, but some things are not fixable. There are things I’d like them to change and it’s very hard to relay that feedback to them.

    I had a panel go bad and the new one doesn’t do well in my area going through the cell towers. I might have to switch to Comcast just because they can keep it going. I go on seasonal and whenever I do, I don’t have internet. If I go with Comcast, they’ll keep the internet on so the system can still work. The only thing I use with Frontpoint is their thermostats. The interactive feature is good when it works but it's giving me a problem. Customer service got my issue all squared away for now because the internet’s back on right now.

    Frontpoint's security system was something that we could put together ourselves and we didn't need to have somebody come out to install it. Setting it up was real simple.     It was pretty easy to install my Frontpoint system, except that I don't have flat door frames or a window frame, so putting on those little sticker things don't apply if I have groove or neat door jambs. Right now I have a $0.26 sticker that keeps falling off because I can't just glue it to a flat surface next to the door, so I have to get a new one and call them.

    I like the price-point, equipment, and ease of installation of Frontpoint. Their team was quick to call us the other day when our alarm went off. We didn't realize that there was a door ajar when we set the alarm. The device gives me more peace of mind.     Frontpoint's price was decent and I could set their system myself. Installation was easy-peasy. Everybody I've talked to with the company has been wonderful. Anytime I've needed something, somebody has always taken care of me and helped me. And I really appreciate everybody's kindness and hard work. My only complaint is their response time. When the alarm goes off, I don't like how long somebody waits before they call the department. I'm not a big fan of the delay in between the time the alarm is tripped and the time it gets called to somebody. I understand it's there to try and get rid of false alarms but in the heat of the moment and something going on, there needs to be a faster response. Apart from that, everything's good to go with Frontpoint. I've been satisfied and it's been excellent though they may wanna lower that bill somehow. But I've recommended it to my co-workers.

    I went with Frontpoint Home Automation because I saw online that it was rated top amongst everybody. Also, I liked the idea that I could do the install myself. Installing it was easy to do. I feel easy knowing that there's an alarm on the house for when I'm away. There was a time when our credit cards were caught up in some fraud number so we had to get new ones, and their customer service reps were courteous and kind calling to ask for our new credit card numbers.

    It would be great for somebody that kicks in the door and they hear an alarm. They'd go, “Oh, God. I better get out of here.” But it doesn’t sound the alarm to anybody more than somebody from the first floor. It's not very loud. I quite like it if I stand next to the device, but in the middle of the night, I want something that’s gonna wake me up too. Like one day, I was doing some work on the door jamb in the house. I popped the molding off. After we set the alarm, the molding again fell off and we're in our bedroom and were like, “What is that sound?” We could hear something but it wasn’t very loud.

    I did some research online and Frontpoint was one of the top rated companies so I looked into it a little bit more and I liked everything that they had to offer. I've been using them since summer and their people have been really nice and helpful every time I talk to them. Every call has been really great and they were really professional and always helped me to feel like I was important. My spouse installed the system and he said it was fairly easy but he had a little bit of a hard time trying to mount the magnetic pieces on the door frame because there was some unevenness there. Then on July 4th, somebody broke into my home and it was nice to have the system because it scared the burglar off. I appreciated that because I didn't have money to pay my bill that month but they kept it running. I would recommend Fronpoint.

    Frontpoint got consistently high ratings from every source I could find and none of the other security providers were anywhere near as good. I've had them for almost a year at one place and less than a year at the other. I'm very satisfied with them so I repeated. One error that I remember making during my first installation was my own. I stuck my little magnet things up in the corner diagonally because that’s the only way they would fit on the molding in my door. Frontpoint sent me some replacements, so I put the replacements up.

    The other minor glitch that I've had is so minor, I haven't even fixed it at my end. I had trouble with one of my receivers at an entry point not getting its signal to the central control unit, so Frontpoint sent me a long range transponder and I still haven't put it up. I just moved the whole unit to a more potential spot and I’m fine with that. They're vastly superior to anyone else I've ever dealt with in both technological and service respects and I've recommended them repeatedly to other people.

    I feel more secure since setting up the Frontpoint security device. However, the contacts don't want to stick. I called them about it and they sent us some new strips and told us to use some glue. So, if we ever move, I don't know how we'll get them off. We also have the system sitting in our kitchen so if someone comes through our back door, I don't know what would happen when they unplug or take the batteries out. I'm also not happy with the monthly cost because we are seniors.

    A friend of mine told me about Frontpoint and I've been using them for about a year and a half now on my second home. I feel secure because I’m not there very much. I’ve had a couple alarms go off and it’s because the batteries were low. The only thing is that I would like some type of notification once the police are sent out and let me know that there was no incident or issue or that they caught somebody. I had an alarm over the weekend and it was really early in the morning. They sent the police but there was no follow up so I couldn’t fall back to sleep and I was worried to death. Other than that, I’m satisfied with it.

    I've been with Frontpoint for a year. The Frontpoint team helped me get everything set up, and then helped me when I was having some issues with the door sensors that are not recognizing that the door was shut. It would say it was open when it was shut. We got that resolved. They sent some new sensors. And then, I’ve had to have my system rebooted a few times. When I called them, they helped me go through it.

    I check the system a lot with the app on the phone. Since having the system installed, I feel safer for my kids when I’m not at home and they are. Overall, my experience has been very good. The only negative is that the hardware isn’t the greatest. I’ve had to reboot it, and the last time I rebooted it, two wires came unattached and I can’t get them back together. I’m very sure it’s the glass breakage sensor but it seems like everything else is working.

    We used Monitronics then later switched to Frontpoint because they had newer equipment. Every time I call them they're great and setting up has been okay so far. However I'm not too happy with the equipment. Being that it's Android based, it's pretty slow and locks up a lot. I don't have all the admin functions when using the admin account. I have to use their built-in PIN, and I'm not a fan of that because I don't remember what it is. Now that we have a dog, I can't use the motion sensor inside the house. But I can't turn it off because I don't remember what the PIN is. I have to call the company now to get the PIN information again.

I feel like if somebody comes in while we're away, we will know about it because someone from Frontpoint is going to call us immediately. But it could be a problem with my iPhone too especially that we live in an area where we don’t have a great reception.

    I wanted a wireless security service so I got Frontpoint. Some of the doors were easy to set up but I had a couple of steel doors that meant extra cushion between the door and the device, but they sent that to me and I haven't had any problem. In this whole process, I left a door out because I was getting a new door. So, when the new door came, that's when it wasn't showing that it was connecting correctly and they had to send me sticker cushion. It all happened very quickly and they were always friendly and able to walk me through anything I needed to have done.

    I like that there's a phone app that notifies me if something isn't right or that I can check, and that if I'm away from the setup box and I had forgotten to set it at night that I can just use my phone to set it up. I called them once to ask if I could paint our white devices and they said I could and that's been great because now I don't see those white things on the brown woodwork. The whole process and setup has been easy, their customer service has been wonderful, and everything functions the way it's supposed to.

    We've had Frontpoint as our home security service provider for a year and we had alarms going off, whether it be a door opening or one of the kids not knowing how to turn the alarm off or on. And the Frontpoint team contacted us immediately, so that was good. Also, at first, we had a keypad that was very analog-ish, old then they gave me a digital touchscreen keypad with no charge and it’s better than the first one. I would recommend Frontpoint to other people as far as with my interaction with them and them helping me with the equipment. But they should try to work something out to where I could get two to four cameras set up around my perimeter of my home, to help better secure my place, and maybe even have it interacting with the cellphones and tablets, where we could access the cameras from wherever we are. I'm interested in that pricing and what we could come up with that.

    We had a home security provider a few years ago and I wasn’t crazy about it. Then we went a few years without any security before having Frontpoint and we've had them close to a year to date. The old system doesn’t compare very well to Frontpoint. My husband set up the system and he didn't scream and cuss so it wasn't too bad. We have our own camera security and we paid $600 for the entire system. We had looked into getting wireless cameras but the price was ridiculous and made no sense, so we went and got our own system. The technical support team is wonderful. They’ve always resolved any of the technical issues I’ve had. I’ve never had to have anybody come out, but they’ve always been very pleasant and knowledgeable. We really like Frontpoint.

    I searched for home alarm systems and I looked for reviews online and found out about Frontpoint. I've been using them for a year and a half now and there wasn't a big installation process. I didn't need to have somebody come in there to install it. I did it myself. I have the monthly contract and their equipment is like a simple cell. The rep that sold it to me was a super nice girl. Though there wasn't enough explanation surrounding the size of the property and how the initial monthly fees only covers 10 different segments of the property as opposed to more. So I got a lot more that I need to monitor, but I haven't done it because of the additional cost. But other than that, I did not have any problems with the installation and I've never called them back.

    I got a lot of cameras around the house, but I use Nest in the kids rooms so I can interact with them in another room. Then I use a link hub for the automation on my lights which I can connect through Frontpoint if I want it to. Their response time is great whenever we trip it ourselves and the alarm goes off. It's also nice to know if you hear a bump through the night, you can throw in all the cameras on your phone and see whats going on. Overall, it's a good service and I always recommend it to people who are looking for alarm systems. They'd just go online and talk to one of their sales reps. The whole process is straightforward and they got to do the installation themselves.

    I had ADT before and they use a phone line and the internet. When we were fixing our kitchen one time and the phone line got disconnected. Technically it went out a month and we didn’t even know they weren’t getting a signal and they never checked back. That’s what made me change security system because if they’re robbing the house and they cut the phone lines, their security system won’t even sound so it’s no good if one lives in the country like we do.     The house came with a system, but I never really interacted with the company that installed it 30 years ago. Once I began searching, Frontpoint was a new vendor for me, and a new experience with a security system. My experience with them was good. They were responsive, and they deal almost strictly by the telephone. There wasn't anybody coming into our house, but they were very good in terms of customer support. The system was easy technically to do, but to really think out the system on my own, I need to do some reading and thinking. That's the case with almost any of these. They have standard configurations, and some of these configurations aren't really very good solutions, per se.

    For example, I buy it for a double-sized window. Unless I buy two for the window, I'm not really protected. Or I can put one on the window, but I know if I put one in the middle, it's visible. Somebody actually sees it, and that could be a deterrent. So that means if I put one on, I got to have a second kind of detector to back it up. I need to have a glass break or a motion detector inside the house. The whole industry does that, and it was much the same way.

    One of their pieces of equipment is to budget and other people offer better. Their motion detector is not what you call a look down detector, which means to be effective it has to be mounted at chest height as opposed to in a corner of a room, and good quality commercial systems, or so many of the other private vendors offer one with two sensors; one that looks out and one that looks down. The result is if you use a Frontpoint motion detector, unless you stick it in a bookcase, it's going to stand out like a sore thumb. The smart home feature is good, but that's not unusual. I don't know if there's a vendor that doesn't provide that. I use Frontpoint's app for very simple things, like checking on the status of the system and arming it occasionally. I don't use it a lot, but I do use it when I'm on vacation.

    I’m very pleased with Frontpoint. We were looking at an internet-based type system, did our research, and decided to try Frontpoint. My previous security provider doesn’t compare with Frontpoint at all. I was real disappointed with them at the end because they were not doing monitoring for two months and didn’t even know it. They would run tests but never notified me that they weren’t getting that signal back.

    Installing Frontpoint was not difficult and my son who's better at it helped me. I need to do some more work on it and readjust. I haven’t permanently attached any to a wall, but I like the convenience of it. I love being able to turn it off and on and that it will notify me if I forget to set it. Sometimes if my wife goes to work a little later than normal and hasn’t set it, it’ll notify me that it hasn’t been set by a certain time. I’m sure there’s a lot of other things it’ll do that I haven’t discovered yet. I’ve even recommended Frontpoint to friends and family. I told them that I love the idea that I can take it with me when I go. If I wanted to, I can even take it with me on a trip and monitor my bedroom or hotel room.

    I was looking for different security providers online and I like the system that Frontpoint has. It's wireless so no one can disconnect the cables and if I lose power, I'm still gonna have protection. I use it for my business and setting up the system was easy. However, the sensors are not of good quality and I have to replace them a few times. I also think that they are overpriced. If I want to have access through my phone, they will charge me extra for that - $10 a month but it's good because sometimes I cannot be physically in the store to put the alarm on, so it’s convenient for me. However the app on the cellphone freezes often but it does their work. Also their service is also horrible. Sometimes when I call and I have issues they would say, “Oh, but we just got back with you and we were with you too often on the phone and we’ve told you a bunch of stuff.” So they have a concern where you have to stick to. If not, you have to pay a big penalty.

    My friend referred me to Frontpoint. It was relatively easy to set up my Frontpoint device, except that I haven't had great success with the pet detection. My cat has set off the alarm quite a few times. They keep telling me to move the device, but every time I move it I've had to repaint, so that's been quite a problem. Also, my interactions with the team at Frontpoint have been very mixed and strange: Some reps were very helpful and seem to be very much into technology, while some were a bit dismissive. I have been messing with the sensors because I've had the alarm go off almost 10 times and the police were at my house while I was traveling, but every time I've called Tech Support, I've gotten a different answer to how the product is designed and how it works, and things like that, so that's been frustrating.

    Setting up the security device was easy to do. Probably the most complicated part of it is making sure that you get the sensors set up so that they continue to work properly. Because you can flip pieces around and get them installed incorrectly and they appear to work initially but overtime they'll quit working. I've experienced it with two devices.     We were sort of courted by ADT but after being turned off by their sales pitch and investigating their track record and what to expect from them, I went the opposite direction and got Frontpoint. What I liked about Frontpoint was the fact that I wasn't locked into purchasing proprietary equipment and I could source it on my own and install it myself. So the flexibility was the biggest selling point. The second selling point was the reviews that I read online about their customer service. It's a completely under-appreciated aspect and one of those things that you don't realize how good it is until you have a provider that doesn't have good customer service. So it's nice to not have to worry about it. When I call, I get a person who answers my questions and solves the problem.

    I have the Z-Wave outlet controllers for a couple of the lights. It's a novel idea but in practice, it's not very practical. The technology needs to be improved before it would be anything worthwhile. It doesn't communicate well with the base station and I'm not sure exactly why that is. But it's certainly not because there is anything impeding. It's not like it's upstairs behind two walls or hiding in a corner. It's got a direct line of sight to the base station, only about 10 to 15 feet away, so there should be no reason for it to not connect. It can sometimes disconnect or not respond so there's always some level of delay and a lot of times, it's a pretty significant delay. But I recommended Frontpoint to a lot of people. There's a fair bit of crime in our neighborhood so having nothing would put us on edge.

    We had ADT before but the price and the fact that Frontpoint wasn't a phone-based system led us to get their security system. Frontpoint was more free-standing. However, their customer service is mediocre. It’s not terrible but not the best customer service I’ve experienced. We had an issue where one of our sensors was acting up, and the communication between the customer service, the technical support and us is not fluid enough. There were a lot of things that were dropped. Getting a second sensor was also a headache. It seems that their technical support is better than their customer service. There are other companies that provide more for the same price but now we’re locked in a three-year contract, so we feel stuck.

    I used ADT for my home security in the past but got Frontpoint for my business. I've had them for about a year now and have cellphone access with it which I didn't have before. Moreover, compared to ADT, there are a lot more features with this one so it's better. But during installation, I almost dropped the service. It was so bad. It wasn't necessarily the physical setup but the guy who sold me the equipment and the service entered all my information incorrectly. Everything except my cellphone was wrong.     We've had another home security before and it was terrible. Every time we try to test, the windows and the door weren’t working, and there's no follow-through. It went downhill from the first time we had it so we decided to use Frontpoint. My husband took 15 minutes in setting up the device and it was very easy. Everything was fine and convenient. Frontpoint is 100% better.

    I called them the other day because the alarm went off and nobody called me back. When I called and press the button, none of it worked for my question. I wanted to know if they registered my alarm going off. They really need to change that recording. So then I got the customer service and they said that they didn't see ours going off and sent us to service. But then the service showed the alarm going off at 7:41 in the morning and it only lasted not even a half of a second. It was shut off right away. It has to be more than 30 seconds for them to call us back.

    But then we could lock the house and put the alarm on anywhere using our telephone and we also have the transponder on key, and that’s very convenient. The best is the monthly payments - it's not one big lump sum of money and that’s extremely convenient as well. We found everyone to be very helpful and polite on the phone.     We had ADT before but it was a subscription service, which was where we're trying to get away from. One of their own devices and the hardware was what we really wanted to do, and they didn’t have that option.     Our experience with Frontpoint has been great. We had ADT at our old house, and had to leave it there when we moved to a new house since we need to have a phone line connected to their system. I then researched online on wireless home security systems and found Frontpoint. The installation was pretty straightforward - just put batteries in there, put the device where you need it, and then activate it.

    Frontpoint has done everything I wanted it to do, and I know it works. It went off before when we had the dog sitters come by, and the police got up there. Everything is working well like it's supposed to. The last time it went off was the only issue, however, I don’t fault Frontpoint for that. My wife and I forgot the passcode, and I was in a meeting that I couldn’t get out from. My wife couldn’t get them to turn it off because she wasn’t on the account, but I'm glad it's secure like that. I just need to get her added to the account. Other than that, everything's great.

    We were getting older and weren't quite so nonchalant about our safety. We live in Baltimore, so it became a bigger concern and that’s how we ended up getting Frontpoint. The rep on the initial sales call taking on a few questions was great, and the instructions when the package arrived were complete. Installation was remarkably simple and took about 10 minutes altogether. Installing the door sensors and the motion sensor gave me a little bit of pause because I couldn’t quite find a spot in a corner that saw the whole room without something getting in the way. We thought about getting a breaking glass sensor because we have skylights in our roof, but were told that the rooms were too small and that the sensor would not operate in that small space. There was some confusion about how to register it with our local PD, but it got straightened out. Everything has been working fine.

    Our daughter in Minnesota has Frontpoint, and then we also got one for ourselves. We've had it for over a year now. We have a previous home security provider before but we like Frontpoint better since we have more coverage. The system installation was a little tricky because we didn't exactly read what we should have been doing, thus we had a couple of the sensors in the wrong place. My husband talked to somebody there and they sent him some more sensors, so everything has worked fine since then.     We upgraded our system with Frontpoint. I like the fact that we can take it with us since our old system didn't have that option. I also like that I have access to the system through my phone. It was super easy setting the system up, although we did have to call them because one door wasn’t working. Turns out we had the sensors reversed so that was a quick fix. With Frontpoint, I feel more comfortable when I leave my house. I wish, though, that I had the option to make anything alarm when I’m upstairs even though the box is downstairs. But other than that, I’m relatively happy with Frontpoint.

    Setting up the Frontpoint security device was easy. I do like the smart home features and the ease of the set up and monitoring of my home (i.e., whether the door is locked or remotely opening a door because I have a smart lock). They’ve got great customer service too and were always nice if I ever had to contact them for tech support. I was setting up a door lock and I accidentally triggered the alarm twice and I've talked to them. My only concern is the cost-effectiveness of the $50 a month that I'm spending right now because it’s a little expensive for other options that are out there and I'm a little bit tech savvy so I'm aware of the UA stuff where I can get my own smart home hub for about 100 bucks. I can get a lot of those same door and window sensors and I can buy the cameras third-party. And if I wanted to, I can sign up for a cheaper service like a cell service modem. So I can have a redundant backup in case I know phone lines are cut.

    We have Frontpoint at home, I love it. The service in a residential environment is super easy but it’s a little harder in a commercial environment because it’s just people in and out slamming doors. The shop that we have is very old and there’s a sensor that goes on a roll-up door, but it’s not right and I thought it would work. I have to reorder a sensor. It's been maybe a week and a half, so we’re still getting all the bugs worked out with the sensors. The service isn’t working for us, but it's not Frontpoint. It's us and they are always wonderful.

    I googled the best security system and Frontpoint came in a high rating than most companies. I also liked what their consumers had said in the reviews. When I purchased the system, the guy there was extremely courteous and helpful. He probably was the biggest seller for me to buy the system when I originally called them. And I just really like the system.

    One day when I needed to get something at the garage, I set the system off and heard the alarm go off. I have been so impressed with the questions the Frontpoint people asked because they absolutely made sure that I was okay since I live here alone. They asked questions in such a way if someone was here and I was being held hostage, my answers would not be known to the intruder. The guy that I date is also on my list and they did not let him off the phone until they were sure he was safe. He was impressed as well.

    The reason I have Frontpoint is because something's been happening in my neighborhood every weekend where cars are broken into and things are stolen. With Frontpoint, I have no worries when I come in my house. I’ve not had one night or one day I’ve been away that I’ve had any concern because I would get a message on my phone if I don't arm the system by 8:15. I can walk in the house at 1:00 in the morning or I can check it during the day and I feel absolutely 100% safe. If the doors have been opened, I’ll be notified. The ease of setting the system is unbelievable. I use my smartphone to arm and disarm the system because I forget to arm it sometimes when I leave in the morning. I don’t use the keypad on my keychain since I find it isn’t accurate. I try to disarm it with the keypad and I go in thinking it’s been disarmed, but it’s not.

    I have not been living here for about two weeks because I had my thumb reconstructed and so I just got back last night about 9:30. But every day, I get to check and make sure my house is undisturbed. I can’t tell enough how much relieved I am because I’ve had an ex-husband now for over 10 years that up until I set this alarm system in would come in, sit, and drink beer on my back porch while I was asleep and leave his beer cans. I can safely say, since I put those signs up, he’s not been around and there’s not been one thing happened since then.

    I got a new front door so I need to call in and set that system back up on it. I have recommended Frontpoint to anybody who wanted the system over any other local systems. I couldn’t be happier with the system and my sons are now at peace with me being here by myself. I tell them to let me know if they're going to visit so I could turn off the alarm from school for them to enter. A good thing about Frontpoint is that they keyed me into the fact that I have to have a permit from the police department to have an alarm system. I did not know that. My neighbors that have other alarm systems have never been told that they’ll be fined $200 for not having a permit. But after 65, I don’t have to have a permit and I turned 65 in May.

    I also like the way Frontpoint fixed their smartphone app now. The first time I used it, it would show red that my house was alarmed and then the app went to some kind of crazy update that all three (disarmed, armed and stay, and armed and away) were green so I couldn’t automatically identify that my house was alarmed. I had to read. So I guess they got a bunch of feedback on it because I got a call to redo it. In the last month, they’ve gone back to the way the app used to be. So, it’s great and they do listen to the consumers.

    Setting up the Frontpoint device was pretty easy. There were a couple of false alarms, so I had some interactions with their team and they were pretty friendly. However, the three-year contract was something which I didn’t want to sign up for. It’s also pretty pricey, and at the same time, we did not get any offers on things like camera surveillance. Plus, I'm paying an extra price and all that they are covering is only part of the house. I was reading all these reviews on ADT, which had everything included with a lesser monthly cost. And they were giving away their equipment like cameras and all the sensors. But I didn’t have time to go over it and choose ADT or others ‘cause I’ve already put in a lot of time on Frontpoint.

    I was very disappointed by the whole contract. I mentioned this to sales, and although they’re pretty knowledgeable, they did not give me any good offer that I would be pleased with. I’ll stay on it for a couple more years and then I’ll start to look around. I won’t recommend it. I would tell friends to look at other options and see what suits them best. Other options are going to be pretty competitive as well. Frontpoint is okay, but not great, but at least I feel secure. A lot could be done with the whole pricing as well as the whole contract and with what we are getting out of that price.

    Frontpoint has been my security provider for about a year now. They're a little bit more expensive than the others in the industry. They charge $35 while the competitor charges $15 a month. Also, I had an issue about one smoke detector in which I had the same issue several times. But when I exchanged it, I had no more issues and it’s working fine right now. They were helpful to respond to that. However, once I finish my two-year contract, I’m thinking of switching to somebody else if I don’t get a discount. So far, they’re doing just fine. They’re good and they’re friendly, but they’re a bit pricey. Other customers will probably be looking for other competitors than staying with Frontpoint. Nonetheless, it’s easy to set up.

    When I put the system in, I started researching companies and I went with one of the top-rated ones that was a good value, and it works for us. I like Frontpoint's Internet feature where I can activate it from my iPad, and it fits my needs. I feel very secure with the system. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I contacted them again to try and get a security system for my recreational vehicle, to see if they had anything with that, and they don’t deal with it. I was trying to find something to work on my RV because it had been broken into previously and I wanted to find a mobile security system for it as well.

    My roommate was researching for security systems and Frontpoint seemed like a good company to go through so I got them and I’ve had them at two different locations. They've been my provider for at least four years now. They seem easy to work with and it doesn’t seem like a hassle.     I’m very satisfied with Frontpoint as far as the response and service is concerned. It was easy setting it up. We have to replace two panels though. The first panel that we got was not really sufficient to do the job. The second was defective. The third was working. Some of the things that I have problems with are the small door sensors. It seems to go offline on occasion. We’ve been working on that to try and resolve it. Their people have been very helpful in that process. They’ve all been good, cooperative and friendly. They're doing their job. We tried one of the remote cameras but the problem with that is it took a picture only every hour and it really wasn’t suitable for monitoring so we sent it back. But, all in all, it’s been a very good and quite acceptable experience.

    I did some research online and Frontpoint came out as the top group consumer rated. I have them for a little over a year now. They mailed the device to me when I had ordered the system. I put it in, experimented with it probably two or three hours calling back and forth. Their staff asked if I was ready to activate and I said, "Not yet." He said, "I see you're really playing with it." They were very helpful and always answered the questions if I have them.     Frontpoint service was great but as far as the expense of the components, it’s astronomical. I have 14 windows and they want $90 a mechanism, which is just not feasible. I’m actually looking at when my contract is up and switching because of that. ADT’s been around and it’s all wireless now, which has changed. They do all the windows for the same amount that Frontpoint charged me. The friend that I was staying with in Ranson as my house was being built had Frontpoint saying it was a good system. He got a promotional deal at that point where he was able to get more windows done for a cheaper price. But when I called on it, they wanted $90 a mechanism. And for the chance that someone opens a window, I’m going to spend all that money which I couldn’t do. I might as well just board up my windows from the outside. It’d be cheaper.

    Their reps were all fine on the phone as far as getting the system set up. Being as expensive as it is just to wire our house up, it seems like it might be something I need to switch into when my contract is up. Unless there’s something that they can do about bringing down the cost of those mechanisms because that’s really expensive. I talked to customer service about it and they said no - they were $90 for any extras that I wanted to purchase. Honestly, anyone that’s putting in a home security system in my Spring Mills Farm Subdivision right now is either using ITG or ADT. No one’s using Frontpoint.

    It’s not from me telling them not to use it. It’s because they see my sign on my mailbox showing who I’m using but when they call them to ask about having all their windows done, they were told about the $90 extra a sensor, and no one can afford it. So far, any instances where I’ve had any type of alarm going off, Frontpoint has fast access, whether it would be calling me or calling my wife, and/or both if I’m out of town. The service has been good so far. The cost per month is the same though as ADT with all the sensors. So they have some stuff to do on that or else they'll lose a lot of business over here at least.

    The people at Frontpoint have been very good, helpful, responsive and I haven't had any issues at all. With our Frontpoint system, we have more convenience and fewer worries. It is good being able to set it using my iOS device, to turn it on and off remotely, and to hear a chime when the front door opens. In addition, they're working on more garage door openers, and they have a sensor, but it would be nice if they have something that could be integrated with the opening and closure of the garage door.     I've had ADT before but Frontpoint is much more convenient for us and cheaper. When setting the device, we had a great experience. They shipped us everything that we needed with instructions and my husband put it all together. Their customer service, when we first set it up was fine. It was convenient. They told us exactly what we were going to get, how much it was and that everything was going to be shipped to us.

    We have had a situation where the alarm went off. My husband triggered the alarm. He didn’t realize I had left and put the alarm on and he came in through the back door and started up the lawn mower and he couldn’t hear the alarm because the lawn mower was running. I got a call from Frontpoint telling me that the alarm had gone off and asked me if I want the police dispatched. I said no, that it’s probably either my husband or my kids. I said I’m around the block and I will be at my house in two seconds and if I don’t see their vehicles, I will call the police myself. It was very responsive and we’re really happy with the service. Also, we can set it from our phone if we’re within two miles after we leave the house. It’s working out much better than ADT.

    We've been using Frontpoint at our business for almost a year. I didn't run into any issues when installing the device. I had to call them because our salesperson said they could get an extension on the default of 10 monitors, and they did something from inside the program to get it done. We tried the wireless camera, which is okay for homes, but for businesses, due to the setup of the wireless camera and the remote monitoring, we have to open up our firewall in a certain way that is pretty insecure. So we had to return the cameras, which we can only use one at a time. It would be much more popular if they did a closed circuit, multi-camera kind of thing without the firewall issue.

    Everything continues to work without a problem. Most things you get nowadays always have an issue that pops up eventually, but this worked smoothly. I’ve recommended Frontpoint to a couple of different people who got the free month service.

    When we called Frontpoint, they answered all of my questions and concerns. They tried to tell me how they were different than other services. Then once we did get the box, it took us a little bit to start it up at the house. We had a difficult time installing the central alarm system. We wanted to mount in on my wall and it requires a plug-in. We had to figure out a spot and it was awkward the way I did the work. So, making the homeowner mount it themselves might be awkward for some people. That was a little different from the other security companies who all will come and put in everything. I was approached by another security company after I had the box but I hadn’t installed it yet. It really made me do a double take since I have a 30 days money back. But as far as the experience with Frontpoint, it was good overall.

It's also simpler to manage because you can do it all from your cell phone.     Frontpoint's system is not only hardwired but it has constant contact with the security centers that's dispatched to the officers, wherein some companies only had that ability as a back-up. With other systems, an intruder could come in, smash the security panel, lose power and then the system would start up. The delay could be the difference between getting in time or not.     I’ve had Frontpoint for a year and a half. My interactions with their team members are good. Everyone tries to really help out. That’s part of the reason I chose them. Response is great and the help is always there so it’s always been positive and I enjoy that. It’s self-installation, and I get it and do it. However, the problem is stickies keep falling off. Every two months I have to order new stickies. One of them at one time broke and another time the sensors broke and that has an impact. That just affects the overall positivity of the experience because they should figure out a way to keep it on permanently.

    I had to keep calling and calling to get the same service that should have been there from the get-go. I would have to reorder after they break and they resend it and I have to reinstall. I hate getting emails saying that my system is off. That’s the annoying part, but everything else is fine. Since setting up the device, I feel good and I like it. The only thing is it doesn’t have any cameras so I’m thinking I’ll change plan.

    I did research and went to several sites that evaluated home security systems, and Frontpoint seemed to be fairly highly rated amongst some of the sites that I saw. Then I noticed a neighbor had the system. I talked to him and he was pleased with it so that made my decision. One of the things that people had commented on some of the online review places was their customer service being good, and it indeed is. When we signed up and ordered the equipment, they were very helpful. When the system was installed, they have someone who specifically helps to make sure the system is working right and all of the equipment is working properly. We’ve had no problem since and everything seems to be working. Once in a while I had to call them to clarify something and how the system works because it wasn’t clear to me, and they have been very helpful.

    We use the system for intrusion protection. We also have the smoke alarm and window breakage. When we leave home and if we're gone for several days, we feel more secure. It’s been a good experience with Frontpoint and I'd certainly recommend them.

    I like the whole Frontpoint setup, even though it's a little more expensive. I like that I can use it on my phone and get the alerts. It was real comfortable especially when my wife would be there. I can actually see what she's doing. From the app, I know whatever door opens so it was very cool and exciting. We would get a text message with any activity. Setting it up was real simple. I put the things on the door. I was also gonna try the camera to see it but I ended up moving. Everything was good the whole time with their team members.

    I was moving to an apartment and they got all that in the new apartment. I didn't like that I had to pay the month. They ended up working something out with me, so I wouldn't have to pay the whole thing and I paid my last payment just last week. They really broke it down to a small fee so they really helped me.

    Frontpoint was rated the best, their prices were more reasonable, and I wasn't locked into a contract. They're also much better than the one I had before. Though some parts of the set-up were not so easy because I was trying to re-use some of my equipment, my experience with Frontpoint has been good. I feel confident that it offers the security for the items I use. I love the automated lights feature because I can control the lights from anywhere I am and make it appear that people are home and I would also love to be able to control televisions for the same reason. The only thing that I wished was more affordable was the camera feature. I'm retired and more seniors are in need of security more than anybody else. I would like to see Frontpoint offer some special deal and a home automation that was more affordable for seniors because we're on a fixed income and can't afford what most people can.

    I have Frontpoint for almost a year now and have an excellent experience with them. I was on Facebook and saw their advertisement. I inquired about the product and found it was very easy to talk to them. They assisted me and told me what I needed and didn't need. They also didn't try to push any extra stuff on me. The security device is easy to install and I got the whole house covered. Once or twice, we didn't get to the panel fast enough and they called the house. I had also inquired about getting into their beta test program to test the lights and door locks, but my system wasn't up to their standard.     The Frontpoint security device was easy enough to set up, though I’ve had some challenges in keeping the sensors in place - just wear and tear, people walking near them and dogs scratching things. Once I have asked their people to set the alarm off and they were friendly. They took a couple of calls to finally get to my system to get turned off. I had called a couple of times and had been transferred to a couple of people. I did not realize what code I needed to prove that I was who I was and to have the system checked out. I also had been looking for some type of a garage door controller and I haven’t seen one as yet. We’re not necessarily what one consider a high risk area, but a lot of this was my wife’s sense of security and I think she’s been okay with it.

    My husband was being deployed for about twelve months and I needed a home security system with just the kids and I. Several companies won't come in and they wanted an exuberant and ridiculous amount of money that I was not going to pay for. I'm not giving them $2,800 to install plus $125 a month. It's not reasonable and it's not going to happen. Then there were two companies that are very similar in price. The other company couldn't do wireless in my area so I ended up seeing Frontpoint which I've never seen or heard before.

    I did some research, went on consumer reviews, and I got on stellar reviews about Frontpoint. They were wonderful. So we okayed on that and we could set up the security system ourselves to the doors and windows which I'm a little worried of because we're not experts. I was weary because I've never had to install anything before. Of course I wanted to make sure it was done right but it turned out their security system was super simple to set up than we thought. Frontpoint gave us a call to make sure that everything is working and it's connecting to the motherboard and to our data system. Then they went ahead and set it off to let me know that everything was responsive on their end. They can read the motherboard as well as sensor systems in my home.

    When I call, their staff were super informative and spoke English. I could understand them. They are also knowledgeable about the product and were very upfront with me about everything which was good. They told me what was going to happen what I should expect and they were right on. There were no hidden surprises which I don't like. Then I had an issue with the main motherboard of one of the security systems. They were quick and replaced it ASAP. No questions asked, no problem. It was awesome and I'm happy with everything.

    I primarily preferred the wireless connectivity and I wanted to install the security system myself without the clutter of wires. So Frontpoint really fits the bill because everything is wireless in one of the systems they provided. The installation was easy and the instructions sent were self-explanatory. I was able to set up the system for an hour. When I had a few questions, their reps were knowledgeable and explained what was required to fix and to install the device properly. Controlling the system remotely is one of the better aspects of the security system. If I leave my home and I forget to arm or disarm my system, I could do it from my mobile phone. I also get real-time security updates. When my garage door gets opened or any of my sensors is getting tipped, I get an email or a text message immediately. So I know what’s happening at my home even if I’m not there.

    Frontpoint is great! We do a lot of travelling, we lock up the house and we put the system on. It works well because I came back one day and I didn't have my glasses on. I was punching in the wrong code and their staff immediately picked it up and gave us a call saying something was going on. I am going to call them because we will be needing another device added on to the system for another door I'm putting in. Installing it was simple as a pie.     I liked Frontpoint's features and price, and everything has been pretty easy to set up. One time, I had to do a call to Frontpoint because the smoke alarm was going off and we were unable to get it to stop. We had to escalate the call but the people that we needed to escalate it to don’t work all the time. And so we had to sit there and wait for their staff to get in or to get a phone call from somebody. Meanwhile, I had a blaring alarm going off for 30 minutes so that was a little bit problematic. My opinion is it should be 24/7 service and somebody should be on-call all the time.

    Everything we have is covered by Cox when we were in Gainesville about a year ago. But, we moved to Jacksonville and Cox is not servicing the area and getting their equipment would not have served us anything. So, we started searching the internet for the best home security provider and Frontpoint turned out to be the number one at that time. I checked out the other top two but Frontpoint offered a little more than what the others did.

    We’ve now had Frontpoint for close to a year. Installation was comfortable and we didn't have any issues but I may have called them to walk me through things because at that particular time, we did not have the cable where the system could be linked with. But, they walked me through installation in a matter of moments and the system was operational with everything I got. I also added a couple cameras within 30 days and their reps helped me again. Every time I've dealt with them, my wife and I both remark that it's a sheer pleasure dealing with somebody that knows what they're doing and is willing to help right from the beginning until the end, no matter how long it takes to satisfy. They are great.

    I've also got the lights set up to where they come on at different times. When we've been on vacation several times, I've had the system automatically operational with the cameras. We've been out as far as England and I'm still able to sign-on and take a look at the cameras. During that time, we had one of our children who lives in Jacksonville as the contact for Frontpoint so that if something happens, someone's here close enough to respond within an hour. I do this mobile control through our Mac and when I wanted to, I go through the app on my iPhone to turn the lights on or to unlock a door if I'm coming and going.

    I've used Frontpoint since the early part of 2015 and I feel more secure since having it. We've had another home security provider before which was wired, but Frontpoint is much more user-friendly since it's wireless. I set up the Frontpoint system with help from their support team who were very helpful and knowledgeable of all the equipment.     We've been using Frontpoint since February 28th of last year, but we haven’t had to use any kind of alarm monitoring, which is a good thing. In the essence of getting started, getting all the information, the callback and support from their technical center, they were very helpful and up to this point, we don't have any issues. I had some issues with the main console, but I talked to them and we’ve got it resolved. It was also pretty easy to install the device - it’s peel and stick. The instructions were pretty clear and the whole wireless system was pretty straightforward. It's nice to know that I have the security of putting an alarm system on.

    The system is simple and it goes a long way when you talk about Apple and products like that. The packaging was very neat, clean, and organized when they ship it. First impressions are always a good impression. When you open up their boxes for their computers, you can tell they’ve taken a lot of time and effort in the design to make that part of the customer experience. That doesn’t seem like much but it goes a long way if the packaging is done properly.

    I was looking for a wireless service on the internet because we moved in Illinois and we didn't have a landline. We had used a landline service before but I like Frontpoint's system because I can access it through my cell phone, and I don't need a landline for it. My wife also feels a lot more secure with it, especially since we leave our two girls here sometimes. We've been with Frontpoint for 11 months now and so far, the system has worked very well and has been very reliable. We have had the fire alarm go off once. It was a mistake, but they responded right away. Also, when I first got the system, I called Frontpoint because I couldn't get the speaker for the doors, and they've helped me set that up.

    I found Frontpoint via Google and compared it online with other systems available such as ADT and Brinks. I made my choice based on the user reviews. According to other users, Frontpoint offered better customer service, longer hours if one needed to call for any technical assistance, easy installation as well as process for ordering more sensors and parts. Everyone seems to agree that for the price, Frontpoint the best bang for your buck.

    Indeed, the system is user-friendly and very easy to install. Their representatives have also been very helpful with support and technical assistance. I've downloaded their app for use as well and now do the arming and disarming interactively.     Over the phone on the selling process, Frontpoint showed some extra features that the others did not. They were also willing to match other prices. However, I had a number of failures in the system for almost the entire first year. There were conflicts in what I got for technical support. They’ve replaced multiple components of the system. Part of this is that the system works on cellular technology, and they wanted to change the receiving phone system from Verizon to AT&T. I told them that that would not work because I have both Verizon and AT&T in my home - two different carriers because I have a business phone and a personal phone. But they insisted on trying the AT&T system even though I told them that we get worse reception than the Verizon one that’s already in there.

    Then Frontpoint had to replace the base unit. The unit through the camera system for surveillance monitoring of the main entry point that we were concerned about was something built in. That failed a number of times, and it turned out that they did not get the cellular to re-link together after a power interruption. So they did it no charge providing me with something that would allow me to cycle on and off the power supply to the camera. But with the first, I had to talk to various people. I was almost to the point of removing the system. It’s supposed to be a self-install system. They didn’t want to send a technician out after I had multiple issues with it. Also, the garage door sensors didn’t work. I had to replace those four or five times. So it was not a good experience, to the point where I threatened to cancel the contract to move on. We finally got the things that could work, but as soon as my contract is up, I fully intend to change providers.

    Frontpoint is preferable over ADT which we previously had even though we've had more issues with the hardware, especially the panel which has been awful. It has been a big issue since we started using it. It was replaced just last week and the new one is working. So far, our experience has been good.     Frontpoint is much better than the other providers we've used. The installation was real easy and direct, and they helped out whenever we had questions. We’ve got the wireless cameras and we’ve heard about the outdoor cameras as well as the locking device, but we’re still researching. It’s in the back of our minds but we’ve considered it. There's plenty to be worried about where we live, but we have more peace of mind because of Frontpoint. Their team is very professional and helpful.     I no longer have Frontpoint as my home security provider. I felt that it was more expensive than home monitored systems should be whenever you're doing everything yourself. Every time there was an equipment malfunction there was an additional charge to get it. Everything was charged. I've clearly put it out on their Facebook page and I've spoken with multiple people at Frontpoint regarding this. I basically had to go through my credit card to get them to stop charging me monthly fees. There's a litany of issues that I've had with them. I paid for services whenever I didn’t have it. My service was cut off but yet I was still charged for it and I’ve never received that money.

    I wanted to know if Frontpoint was the best security system that money can buy for homes. I looked it up on a website and they were at the top. I’ve had it now for 8 months. I used to have Xfinity and I hated it. They use cameras that were very slow. I couldn’t access everything at the same time and I didn’t like that. Setting up the Frontpoint device was relatively easy. The only problem I got with them sometimes is that the HUD that I press for my code in sometimes freezes. It keeps me up. This is the second HUD I had and I have to send this one back again. I've been pretty much running it from my phone. Lately, it hasn’t been freezing so I'm okay right now. Overall, I'm good with Frontpoint and I've recommended them to people.

    We've been with Frontpoint since July and it's our first time to have a home security system. Setting up the device was easy. We spoke with their CSRs when we were getting started and everybody was fine. We were told that if we had motion sensors in the house, they would not be triggered by small pets. We had one false alarm but there was no break-in and the only thing that could have happened was these cats. But it depends on where they are as they play a lot and bump against it.

    I’ve being using Frontpoint for six months and my father gave it as a gift. However I have one small problem that I don’t know how to remedy that’s keeping me from using my alarm system. I live in a condo complex. When I turn it on to leave, it beeps incessantly for long periods of time. So having an alarm beeping for five minutes and dogs barking just as long does not do well with my neighbors. Other than that, ever since using the system, I definitely feel more secure and more confident.

    Sandra, your system has a 1 minute exit delay which is why you are hearing those beeps. You can silent those beeps by arming your system and then pressing the silent button on the Control Panel immediately afterwards.     I'm happy with the product. But I was not too happy to find out after my front door got kicked in that there was something that fell through the cracks as far as the monitoring. They weren't actually sending the police, even though I had filled out the paperwork and sent it to them. Something happened and it didn't get processed on their end. Unfortunately it didn't get discovered until my house got broke into and the only reason the police showed up is because I got it on my phone and I called the police. And later I went to follow up to see how many calls they got and the only call they got was me.

    It was an oversight and Frontpoint said they corrected it. But I won't know if they corrected it until somebody sets off my alarm.

    We started using Frontpoint six months ago and setting it up was easy. The only problem I had was when we got the camera, I tried to install it but for some reason, it doesn’t work. So, I sent it back. They sent a new one but until now I wasn’t able to install it because I have been busy and I didn’t have time to take a look inside. I have the camera for about two months without it set up in a new place. Also, I have an Apple router and when I talk to the people, they ask me to do something but this is really a hard part. I will try to put it in and it probably will work. Other than that, the other two cameras we have are working well.

    During the installation of Frontpoint, activating it took hours because I was speaking to someone that wasn't really sure what he was doing. There were also problems with too many calls coming in. I spoke to someone else because I've recommended this system to a number of people, and they had that issue as well. However, my interactions with their customer service are generally positive.

    I've played with the system's smart home features, but I prefer to do it differently. I like the option of everything being gathered, but I don't like the security implications of it. So, I split some things out, like lights. I have lights running off of different devices and the same with my cameras. I haven't used the new app yet, I didn't know there was one, but I will try that.

    Also, Frontpoint does a really good job with their instructional videos and PDFs that are available for download. I've used security systems since ADT started, so I have a lot of experience with different companies. I would like to see them maybe integrate the system with more options. But all things considered, for the price, they're awesome.
