Just starting. So not much more to share. The sign up process was good. The representative was friendly and a good salesman. I have referred First Premier Home warranty to a co-worker that reside in South Carolina. He will contacting the sales rep shortly. It appear that they will support all of my home issues go forward. That is good news to me.

The company called a plethora of times to earn my business including holidays (). But limited to no followup afterwards. I filed a complaint and received very similar messages about their cs. The last reply focus was: 1. "A Senior Director has been assigned to this case. Once again, we offer you our sincerest apologies, and are looking forward to settling this complaint." However, no one has contacted me. 2. "In reviewing your account the diagnosis came back as an issue with the wall button sensor which doesn't fall under coverage in your service agreement. Please contact our claims department with any future questions."
The repair person, Mr. M. ** was chosen by the company. It was very clear that the issue was Not the wall button sensor BUT GARAGE DOOR OPENER. It was in warranty as noted by the company's employee. Montreal ** stated. I told them the garage door opener has to be replaced, along with new remotes, wall button and safety sensors.. I put everything in the email... It is a package. So the company is picking out one item to avoid their error. They never sent proof, in over 2 months, nor had the senior person reach out. They did not provide proof of findings nor refund my money.

My encounter with the representative that sold me the policy was very positive. He was very upbeat, positive, professional and informative. The experience was A1. I would truly recommend the company at this point if the total experience with them moving forward will be as positive as my initial experience. I am very excited about my future dealings with this company.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made a claim on my central air unit. Was turned down. I called to see why. They told this was a manufacturer defect. My unit is way past warranty time period. Was told on the phone they would give me $300.00 to help pay to get it fixed. But they sent me a letter to sign off on and it read $30.00. I have been calling but getting nowhere with them. Please be careful. I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else.

The answering desk for claims is ridiculously ill equipped--it is clear they are not based in the USA. We're unable to achieve any progress on a claim we're trying to file on a failed hot water heater. Our contract says the company will not pay for the hot water heater tank but will pay $ 500 for "access, diagnosis, repair and/or replacement" (i.e. labor). We sourced, bought and hauled in the tank ourselves. We tried to submit the labor invoice for reimbursement (it is under $500) but they are giving us the run-around. Whoever we get on the phone says they'll get back to us and then nothing happens. One guy even gave us a wrong phone number to call him back for follow up. We're not dealing with honest people.

We've use First Premier for over a year now and they have provided great customer service. They have reimbursed me for claims I paid for in a timely manner. I especially appreciate being able to select my own repair company. Their payment ceiling is one of the highest in the industry and the service call fee is one of the lowest. I highly recommend them.

Great customer service from Michael, he always double checks to ensure he can provide us with the best possible rates! Always an easy process and goes above and beyond to ensure I have all my questions answered. He even reaches out prior to our plan expiring to ensure we are covered and that our plan doesn't expire so we can stay covered!

June 7, 2024: We purchased a premier plan, 4 months after purchase our AC system stopped working. We called in for service. Three days later we got a email referring us to a technician. He did come out the same day and saild we needed a. New capacitor and fan and that he would turn the info into the office. We waited two days and heard nothing. I called the technician and he said he turned the repair request in for approval. I called First Premier and they said they did not have it. I called him back and suddenly it was sent in. They also requested more information for the repair.
The tech got approval and said he would be out after 5 PM. It is now 6:40 and no word from him. We called him (Jack of All Trades) multiple times and he did not answer the phone. We called First Premier and they said they could open a new ticket and 48 hours later someone would contact us. This is horrible service compared to the home warranty I had before moving to Virginia a couple of months ago. I bought a premier plan and paid for 4 years in advance. There is no one to go to, to get this straightened out. We are extremely unhappy!

I had a great initial engagement with the sales representative and received the service description including the pricing information very clearly. First Premier offers great services covering all the options that I was looking for specifically kitchen, bathroom plumbing, and also services for garbage disposal and air conditioners. I am glad to be part of the First Premier Home Warranty now.

Steven explained the process of the home warranty very well and answered all My questions. He took the time to Find the best rate for me and provided multiple options that was affordable to Me. He also gave me examples of what a timeline would look like if our refrigerator would stop working and explained what would be needed, including how long I would have to wait for the new part. He also explained how my home is in the geeen zone, indicating that there are many different service providers in the area to contact when needed.

We have been searching for a home warranty plan and were not happy with many plans and the pushiness of making a right now decision. Progressive Insurance recommended 1st Premier. We called and spoke with Michael **. He was extremely courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and offered us several options that would fit our budget and needs. We have whole home coverage with one flat service fee, 2 months free and a great rate! And they are Veteran friendly (discount) company.

Easy sign-up with friendly and informative information. Haven’t had to use the actual service yet, but so far so good. I signed via email and text message so I never had to talk on the phone and got everything I needed done within just a few minutes. This is the only company I have found so far that was not a scam. Will write another review once I have used the warranty.

I had searched for several home warranties in addition to using the top-rated companies. Home warranties have strict limitations on what they will cover and, if covered, how much they will reimburse. Most of the top-rated home warranty companies are so expensive to have that the monthly fee or service fee could potentially hinder calls to fix problems in the home. But First Premier has reasonable monthly and service fees in the industry. It's reasonable enough that if you used another home warranty at exorbitant prices, it's worth it to try First Premier to gain the same quality of service as the big-named brand companies that can pay for the advertisement to get you there, First Premier will be your knight in shining armor to bail you out. Try First Premier, and you'll be pleased.

We have just had a telephone conversation and put the charges on a credit card. We really wish we would have seen the policy, coverage, etc. before we charged so much to our card. Right now, we are not sure what we have paid for and do not have anything in writing.

Thankful to have protection for my new home and look forward to many years of safety. I'm very happy with the ones who helped us get things set up and how easy the process was for us. I so glad that even though it was a holiday and we needed time to think about the warranty our salesman was patient and understanding. I felt like I was talking to someone I had know a long time. They exclude pretty much everything. They say something is covered, but then they don’t want to pay for it. Customer service doesn’t follow up with claims, even after multiple phone calls. Supervisor talked to me like to a child and with sarcasm. Very unprofessional behavior. When I pointed that out, he said he didn’t appreciate my frustrated tone. Horrible. Stay away. They are a scam, taking your money but not providing anything in return.

I purchased a 5-year policy on two properties from First Premier Home Warranty, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, the sales representative was pleasant and persuasive, using all the typical sales tactics to get me to sign up. However, once I needed to make a claim, it became nearly impossible to get a hold of them. When I finally did, they asked me to email them, and the process dragged on forever. I had a central air issue at my property in Arizona, and despite numerous attempts, I could not get it fixed through First Premier. Frustrated, I decided to cancel both of my policies. The cancellation process was just as painful, taking several months of back-and-forth communication. When I finally managed to cancel, I was only refunded $50 for the combined 10-year policy I had purchased.
This company operates with unethical business practices from start to finish. From misleading sales tactics to abysmal claims handling and terrible customer service, every interaction was disappointing. Even reaching out to their corporate executives yielded no satisfactory results. They responded with slow claims processing, rude customer service, and unintelligent responses, ultimately breaching their fiduciary responsibilities to their customers. I would never recommend First Premier Home Warranty to anyone and will avoid any future engagement with them. I have given them ample opportunity to correct their wrongs, but they failed to do so. I will be filing complaints with all relevant agencies to expose their business practices. Avoid this company at all costs.

It started on 5/13/24. I called in a service claim on our Samsung dryer wasn't working, no heat at all. The guy I talk to never gave me his name however he got me a claim #. Once I got the email from them I called the guy who was to fix our dryer. Of course he never showed up all 3 days he said he would. This is not the first time this has happened to us. So I called First Premier back on 5/17. Explained to them what happened, I asked the lady if I could get my own tech. She said I would have to wait till Monday however I called back on the 18th and they said I could chose my own tech. So I call Sears Home Service. They came on 5/20, gave me an estimate of 698.88, however we had to pay sears Home Service their service fee of 128.00 dollars.
So I called first premier back. They told me I would have to wait 24 hours to get this approved. So I called late Tue afternoon. First premier however only offered us 205.00 dollars to replace our dryer which was the first time our dryer ever broke down in 14 years we've had it. It cost us 622.87 to replace it which is very unfair. Now I have to try and get reimbursed for 128.00 that we paid Sears Home Service. So buyer beware using first premier home warranty for your home.

It's being worst experience of my life. I was looking for home appliances warranty so filled online info. Received a call from one of executive, he explained me and asking me for card info for billing. I refused to give and told him to send email with quote. After his email I feel his call somewhat fishy so decided not to buy. When he called again, I told we dropped idea. Don't want to buy. He gave me multiple calls that day from different numbers. Even using abusing language and saying, "Why are you not buying. You have to take this else bla bla...." This is the only worst sales representative I ever talked. I would never recommend anyone to go with these kind of people.

This company is a complete rip-off. I have been trying to cancel my policy for 2 weeks. Now it is past the 30 days and they want to charge me to cancel the policy. I tried to file a claim and was told it would not be covered but they would file it and charge me the deductible anyway. Take your money and run and don't waste it on this company.

My washing machine had stopped working. I contacted this company right away after being with them for three months. I had emailed and called them in regards to my situation. I got a reply three days later. A week after they had emailed me that a tech was going to inspect the washing machine. The tech never showed up, I emailed them advising the tech never showed up, they sent another tech that inspected the washing machine. He stated that my washing machine wasn’t fixable. I contacted the company again, they stated that my washing machine is worth $50. I am making payments to this company and they won’t replace my washing machine or try to fix it. I advised the representative that I wanted to cancel this account, I was advised that I have to pay $75 to cancel. I am very disappointed.

I had two claims this year. One was for a garbage disposal. The company got it working again but told me it was cracked and needed to be replaced. It was denied. The second was for the central air and heat unit. The thermostat was bad and the emergency heat unit wasn’t working. The total to repair this problems was 750.00. First Premier gave me a cash offer for $129. They denied paying for the repair of the unit. The AC quit working again and I called them. I was told that they would not send anyone out to repair the AC until I accept the $129 cash offer, so I am stuck with no AC and no money to pay for its repair.
I bought the coverage so I wouldn’t have to pay for repair of things that break in my home. Silly me! I guess I thought that’s what warranty insurance was for. Now I’m screwed and so is the repair technician who came out to service my unit. Don’t buy this coverage unless you are able to pay for repairs out of your own pocket. You can’t trust them to pay the service bill.

The worst company ever. They say they cover one thing on their website, but when technician comes in he charged me $60, sent in the wrong report and my claim my denied. I bought platinum. Now I tried talking to the manager who hung up on me, now he's telling me to get another plumber on my own where I'd have to pay more money. I lost my service charge. My issue is not repaired and now I have to start all over again. What is the point of paying for home warranty if they lie without shame? They do false advertising, they put one thing on their website but when it comes to actually covering anything, they just lie and say it's not covered and when I asked for a manager, he hung up on me. They are worst liars!

If I could give this company 0 starts I would. Please do your due diligence when looking for a home warranty. I went with this company because all the reviews said it was the best. First time I needed them was when the coils in my AC unit failed, so I called them and guess what...coils are not covered by them so I was out about 2 grand. When asking around, coils are one of the parts of an A/C unit that fail the most.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and a couple of months later my washer dies, it was not an old washer (2016), it was a fairly high end and when new it is about $900. Repairman came and saw that it was not repairable, so he lets the warranty company know about this and they start processing the refund. We knew it was not going to be a full refund, but we were expecting around half, but guess what.... they only offered us $100 dollar check because they said it was an old washer. Finally I decided to cancel my contract with them and after weeks of waiting to hear back from them they say they will cancel it, but they will not do any refunds on the fee I already paid (my contract ends in 6months) because of a cancellation fee and because of the number of times I already use them. So please avoid them.

Choices of home warranty can be quite daunting but Jake made my experience easier with taking time to explain coverage, cost etc. Ultimately this helped me make my decision to choose First Premier for my home warranty needs. Reading other very positive reviews also increased my comfort level in making this important decision. Happy to refer family and friends as their needs arise.

Sign up process was super easy and smooth. Only thing was I didn’t receive my welcome email so I had to call in order to get one but other than that it was smooth sailing signing up with Premier Home Warranty super easy. Also have people to text you directly and help you out on the side if there is anything personal that you will need

They don't provide service they promised. Did an ac repair warranty, and would only pay 200 of 400 bill. I agreed to settlement. Now, after several attempts to get money, they are not sending it. Will never use them again. Their words are cheap. Actions, which are null, speak volumes.

I was in need of a new home service provider. I was very impressed with the quick and professional response. Fred answered all my questions and explained the coverage in detail. They include much more than I expected and was very pleased with the price. The flexibility to pay monthly is also offered. This is a great option for seniors on a fixed budget. If this is any indication, I can look forward to excellent and quick service.

Read some of the reviews on First Premier Home Warranty. I have to say, these review do NOT match the experiences I've had with the company. I've had a policy for a little over 3 years now, purchased because I bought a home built in 1906 and that had older HVAC systems and appliances. The first year of policy everything worked "as it should", the company was slow to respond and difficult to engage with (mostly due to poor customer service) but at least my appliances got mostly fixed. However, every time I've gone to try and get something covered the company is rude, highly unprofessional, slow to respond (even to contractors), and doesn't communicate with the consumer at all. I've got a lot of friends in the contracting business, and every single people I've engaged with (from contractors to consumers), everyone has had roughly the same experience of terrible customer service and being lied to.
Currently, I'm in a dispute with them over coverage of an A/C unit. When I contacted them, the individuals I spoke with had no actual knowledge of home repairs. The underwriters lied about what their contracted vendor told them in order to find a reason to not cover the A/C unit. The customer service reps offered absolutely no information or way to appeal, they just said "this is what you purchased". I had to call the vendor they sent out and speak to him directly in order to even find out what was actually wrong with the A/C unit.
First Premier did not even bother to call the vendor to tell him that the claim is being denied - he found out from me. He's got an invoice in to them and has never received additional communication. But the trouble doesn't stop there, because the only reason I knew the claim was being denied in the first place is I had to call in. First Premier claims to have a web portal, but when you call and talk to them, I was told that it isn't functional so they can't set up an account for me. So had I not called to check in on the claim (9 days after the service was provided), I'd not know the claim was being denied.
When I called, the individual claiming to be the operations manager actually yelled at me on the phone for not understanding my policy, berated me, and told me that there was no escalation process or appeals process. I told him he was being very rude, to which he said "if you don't like it, then you can talk to someone else". I asked to talk to his manager, which he repeatedly stated he didn't have one (which is concerning), then said he was the operations manager who reported directly to the owner, but the owner "never gets on calls". So I don't even have a place to complain about the customer service received, let alone have an actual discussion with someone about the claim.
The entire purpose of the conversation was to get me off the phone and not pay out (at least that's what I perceived). All of this is highly, highly unprofessional. When I asked about cancelling my policy because why pay for something I can't actually use, I was told that can't be done over the phone, that I need to email in the request to cancel and it will be considered at that time. At this point, I'm escalating to the only resource I have - the internet - and the BBB to file formal complaints against this company. (An important note: I've repeatedly tried emailing both info@firstpremierhomewarranty.com and claims@firstpremierhomewarranty.com and have never received a reply.)
First Premier is honestly one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. They are shady (which is why their premiums are so low), do not provide the consumer remedies for concerns, do not reply to their emails, can often not be reached by phone, and even the contractors hate them. My review is not about my personal beef with First Premier, the review is about people being lied to in order to avoid paying claims and knowing that, if you choose First Premier, you will experience customer service issues, you will experience delays in getting your claims completed, and the company will look for any reason not to pay your claim. Just stay away.

Very easy sign up! Very few questions. Got a low rate! Love this company is in America so they are easy to call and to talk to! Very patient with me as I was comparing companies to one another. Will be referring my neighbors. Hopefully they will see the importance of having a whole home warranty. This is an easy thing for seniors to do.

I paid for $499.99 online and there's no account in their system and no refund and the Capital One credit card can't dispute. I received receipt only and no one respond my email and phone calls. I hope this can get their attention. Google search and get into a fake website.

I bought the policy, as it listed that it would cover the AC system. However when my AC system needed repair, this company didn't pay anything. I called and emailed many times, they didn't answer to resolve it. And then, I requested cancellation on my policy, and they charged an administrative and service fee that was 70% of the policy premium.

They will steal your money and never even respond to your calls. After having a worse experience with them, I finally decided to terminate the contract that I have with FPHW. After making me wait for 44 mins on a call, they finally denied to give me back my remaining pro-rated amount. I would never recommend this company to anyone who is looking to buy home warranty.

I started a claim for my refrigerator January 12th when the repair company came to my house. They submitted their claim info to First Premier within the next 3 or 4 days and then I received a cash in lieu form from FP for a settlement of 175$ which is about half of the actual repair cost. I signed the paperwork figuring that something is better than nothing if February and here at the end of March I have yet to receive any payment and that is after several calls to the company...some of which I was hung up on. I can't imagine if I had a major claim with this company. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere and if I could give no stars I would.

Real easy to deal with, very happy, can not complain about the service in acquiring this service. Would recommend this company to friends and relatives. Must have for protection and requirement for lien holder. I can not imagine going with out this service as the cost of repairs is high.

If the company performs as stated if and when I need them, then I'll be happy with them. Ted and Joe were very pleasant to speak with and did what they said they'd do. Only time will tell if they deserve my business or not. I had been with American Home Shield since 1985 and had been relatively happy with them up until April 2023 when I experienced a 9 month delay in having an appliance replaced. I initially thought that it could have been a supply chain issue but soon discovered that GE was selling the appliance that AHS promised to provide me with.
AHS did finally resolve the issue but 9 months was too much to take. I also didn't like the fact that they use an overseas call center where people don't speak English well, nor really understand the issues that US Citizens have with their homes. Enough was enough so I decided to try this company out. We shall see. First Premier offered me an additional month of warranty at no charge for writing a review, which I have honestly done. I can't be bought for a month's worth of service, so I didn't mind writing this honest review of my interchange with them today.

My dishwasher is leaking and it needs a seal, which they don't make for my dishwasher anymore. The serviceman wrote, "Parts are not available for this dishwasher. They have been discontinued, needs to be replaced." The warranty company said they will only pay for the seal. This is the dumbest thing. I still won't be able to use the dishwasher seeing the seal is unavailable. They need to replace the dishwasher as their contract states. It is breach of contract if they won't replace it. I told them I wanted to cancel my contract if they won't abide by it, and I am told they will prorate the amount and charge me a cancel fee. This is outrageous, seeing they are breaching their contract.

Be mindful of First Premier Home Warranty's cancellation policies. They will sell you on their warranty, but your contract will contradict what any sales rep tells you. First Premier Home Warranty are scammers. They will take your money and not follow through on their end of the warranty contract. The service reps they contract are bottom of the barrel and do not fix appliances properly. I paid to have my ice maker fixed three times, and it is still broken. Do not use them. I have been trying to cancel my warranty, and it has taken months for them to provide a breakdown of the amount of the refund amount. I paid $4,000 for the warranty less than 2 years ago, and they offered to refund me $600. They inflate their calculations, so they can provide a lower refund. How is that not robbery?

As a realtor I tried to get my client a good warranty with this company. Client was denied coverage and told they had to wait 30 days after the payment was received from the title company for the warranty to begin. We cancelled it right away before it went into effect and put a new warranty on it with another upstanding warranty company. Then called First Premier numerous times waiting for the refund. Was told it would be returned to the title company that missed the payment originally and after numerous calls and waiting 5 months I was then told the funds were returned to the client. The refund was to go towards the new warranty and not be returned to the client/buyer. Each time I called them in the 5 months I received a different answer on the status of the warranty and refund. I had never used them before and would never recommend them.

Truthfully, I've owned many homes over the years. All warranty companies have pros/cons. By far (not just by a little) have I ever experienced such poor customer service. I have tried to file three claims and it was as if this company was working overtime to come up with a way to deny them. They were not friendly and trying to help. It was specifically to explain that they were denying the claim. To make matters worse, I had to call them each time to determine the status of my claim. They went radio silent once I filed a claim.

Purchased a 3 year policy due to the 6 page policy we viewed when a FHPW rep sent us a copy of their policy. After purchase, FPHW changes the terms and conditions of the policy and sends you a 19 page poilicy which covers NOTHING. We made 2 claims in 11 months. Did not get either claim resolved to our satisfaction. We paid the contractors $60/fee on each. Because FHPW does not bother to call the contractor back after the contractor has been to your house, your item will not get fixed that day, and you will be left to find another contractor to fix your problem. FHPW claims their contractor did not contact them, but we saw the email where the contract DID.
When we decided to cancel our policy and get some of our money back, FHPW stated they had paid the contractor the $60 and attempted to deduct that from the pro rata sum owed to us. We got a letter from the contractor which states FHPW did not ever communicate with the contractor or pay him. No matter how much evidence you gather to prove the reps at FPHW are LIARS, SCAM ARTISTS, BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUDSTERS, they will attempt to lie and lie their way out of it. The form they require you to sign in order to get the paltry amount they say they owe you is attached. Read it! It even threatens to ruin your credit score. The FPHW Jokers have been trained by the devil himself. Stay away from this company. The 5 star reviews they have are solicited from potential contractors and their friends and family. I doubt one 5 star review is legit. Read the 1 star reviews. ALL of the 1 star reviews are the REAL truth behind this awful company.

Updated on 02/09/2024: BEWARE: I BELIEVE FIRST PREMIER HOME WARRANTY PRACTICES DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING First Premier Home Warranty (FPHW) has 2 different versions of their warranty policy - a 12 pages version they provide to potential customers before you make payment and a lengthy version - 19 pages - they provide in a 'welcome package' after they receive payment. The 19 page policy is full of exclusions to the 12 page policy items covered. Most customers do not examine the 2nd policy (19 pages) because they believe it is the same as the 1st policy sent. This appears to be illegal, deceitful advertising by not disclosing to the customer that the 1st policy provided was altered by the 2nd policy.
In addition, we have heard FPHW requires their potential contractors who may want to work with FPHW to write a FIVE star review before they hire will hire the contractor. That is why you see so many 5 star reviews from reviewers with only 1 review to their name. After a lengthy investigation, we demanded a full refund of our money paid for 4 policies. A 'Todd' at FHPW told me (when I disclosed my unhappiness about the 2 different policies and demanded a refund) that the welcome letter stated I had 30 days to cancel. The welcome letter does not disclose that the policy originally sent to me was amended or changed.
EXAMINE the pdf Policy in your Welcome Letter and realize it is NOT THE SAME POLICY you signed up for. I would suggest staying away from First Premier Home Warranty with a 20' pole. When you question FPHW they threaten you with court costs and attorney fees if you complain or disclose their deceitful methods.
Original Review: First Premier Home Warranty (FPHW) is a SCAM. Before you pay for a home warranty, ask FPHW for a copy of the contract/warranty. The copy FPHW sends you prior to payment is not what they give you or what you pay for. The REAL contract is over 19 pages long and contains more exclusions of what they don't pay for than what they do pay for. It is NOT the contract they send you when you ask to see a copy of the contract prior to payment. They are a PONZI scheme just to get your money. FPHW lies to you on the phone during the claims process. They send out contractors who get frustrated because the contractor cannot get in touch with FPHW, but FPHW lies and says the contractor (FPHW's own contractor) never called them. We had a plumbing leak. Bathtub valve was leaking.
FPHW sent out a contractor. Contractor told us that FPHW did not approve the repair of the leak. FPHW contractor did not fix the problem. The contract provided to us BEFORE we paid FPHW said bathtub valves were covered. The contract FPHW provided to us the day after we paid them, says bathtub valves are EXCLUDED. Since we had already viewed the contract prior to payment, we didn't check the contract they sent upon payment. They said we should have viewed the contract sent w/ payment as we had only 30 days to approve or deny that altered contract w/ many exclusions. This is a huge scam First Premier plays on unsuspecting customers. Stay away from them. They are horrible. They post fraudulent good reviews. You will regret you ever signed up with them.

This company is a fraud. They sold me one policy on the phone and I kept requesting a copy of the policy from Robert the sales agent. It never arrived, but he received my 3 Year policy amount in full on the phone in March 2023. I continued to call and finally reached Jack from FP and he sent out a welcome letter and copy of my policy April 4, 2023. I didn't receive a copy of the policy from Robert (which he sent to the wrong email...my sisters) until July 2023. The two policies are completely different.
My first claim for pool was denied in July 2023. It was covered on the policy. Robert said he would get a form to me to submit my receipt as I went out of pocket to prevent further pool damage. I am still waiting on this.... 2nd claim January 24 for leaking shower handles and valve. They are CLEARLY covered on the first policy I received from FP but conveniently denied when 2nd policy sent 4 months after sign up is presented by FP. Lesson...DO NOT GIVE THEM $1 without their personal guarantee by notary on signed contract you receive and read in full before purchase. Sales agents provide a lot of hot air which is not on their 2nd contract they send months after purchase. There are many reviews on many sites regarding this same issue.

First Premier Home Warranty was the service I chose when I bought the new house; regretfully this company will avoid to take any ownership or resolve any issues that you may encounter in your property. I called them a couple of time first to request a plumbing for a minor issue and they said, I can't raise any claim within the first 03 months of contract as that was a blackout period, then a pool pump broke and after they provided a company to look at it that never replied to emails or phone calls, they accepted me to bring my company and the tech determined the pump was damage and this company asked for maintenance records for the last 03 years, and asked me to contact the previous owner to obtain those records, as I've been in the property for 08 month. Stay away from fraudulent and misleading home warranty services. Those guys are not professional and won't honor the contract signed.

The only time the phone is picked up is when you to sign up with this bogus company. Claim was denied that should have been covered. No explanation given. When I called to speak to a manager the phone was picked up and hung up 10 times while waiting for 40 minutes on the line. The company that picked up the job to do the work had no explanation as to why the claim was not covered and they also said no one answers the phone. After calling three more times as if I was buying a new policy and I asked to speak with the manager no one ever answered the phone. This is an absolute disgrace and rip off. I paid for the Premier policy upfront then paid for the service call and nothing. If you are looking for a home warranty company this is not the one. Save yourself the aggravation. I rate them minus 10.

I turned in my 1st and only claim for a broken microwave. I was referred to a company to call for the repair. This company answered the phone "hello" in a bothered tone. Not instilling any confidence. They went to the house to confirm the microwave needed to be replaced. Great. After asking what the plan for replacement would be, I was ghosted. I reached out to 1st Premier for help. Customer service was horrible. I was hung up on, placed on hold in the middle of conversations and talked over while asking questions. I had to initiate follow up calls to find out how/when my microwave would be replaced. I was told I would have calls back in a day...hours...all of which did not happen.
On my last call to 1st Premier, I was told that underwriting deemed my repair/replacement to be too expensive and that they'd email me to fill out a form for a cash settlement. All this has taken 1 month. If I would have done the replacement myself, this would have been handled in a day. And, I don't anticipate having my "cash settlement" anytime soon. Which I doubt will cover the cost of a new microwave. So, I would advise to anyone, seek out a more reputable company to get a warranty with. Saving a few bucks is obviously costing me more in the long run. I will not be renewing my contract with this company.

I was due $137.00 for my claim # **. My policy # **, in the month of September. I was lied to repeatedly about when I would receive the funds. I was later told I would have to wait a month. I paid $60 to have my fridge checked out and I paid another $360 to the repairman that you all requested. Therefore, I was out of $412.00. October you took out my monthly payment. A month had passed and I still had not received any funds. I called to cancel my warranty plan. I was threatened that I would not receive my fund from my claim. I was then lied again about the funds arriving soon. I then went to my bank and I was advised by my bank advisor to cancel payments.
I called you all several times to cancel. After several calls to you all I was told that an underwriter will get back with me in seven days, still waiting. I still informed that I was canceling. No one have called but I'm constantly receiving emails and texts about payment. I cancelled two months ago. I have repeatedly made calls over the past months and have not been able to speak with anyone directly. I'm tired of you all trying to steal my money. You all still have not giving me my claim money. First Premier Home Warranty did not honored the warranty agreement.

I would NOT suggest signing on with this company. My advice to you is RUN as quickly as you can and DO NOT LOOK BACK! Stay away from First Premier Home Warranty! I would NOT recommend that anyone sign on to work with this very shady company. 1st, I was charged taxes when my state does not tax ins. The documentation did not show price of policy + Taxes; it was all lumped together showing total cost as what was paid for policy. That was reimbursed when I called about it. When I really looked thru reviews, I noticed that the good reviews were about customer service on the front end and the great deals that people were given. However, when I found reviews about the experience people had when they actually filed a claim, those were the very bad reviews.
Next, I was told that within the first 30 days (the waiting period), if I cancelled, I would get 100% full refund. I then cancelled later on the same day that I signed on with First Premier. This was on a Friday, and I had to wait until Monday for handling. Then I was told I had to sign a form to cancel the policy. I received via email a Release saying AFC would keep $50 admin fee, with a very strong worded paragraph at the bottom of the release. That was their “form that needed signing” so that they could cancel the policy. I just signed it to get this over with and wrote that this was not what was promised. I also asked for a response confirming the receipt of my email and that the refund would be coming soon. I had to call to follow-up with them, as no one responded as requested.
I was told that the required admin fee was clearly stated in the Warranty, but you do not see that document until AFTER they take the money and then they email it to you. After further review, I found in the Warranty under cancellation section, that if you cancel within the first 30 days, you do get a full refund as I was initially promised. I mentioned that to First Premier Employee in Accounting, and he said to email that into him. I did, he got it and said he would escalate it for review, and that it would only hold up my getting my reimbursement by one day. He said he would call the next day with an update on this, and he did not.
I called the next day asking for that employee and was left on an extended hold. I could not get him on the phone. Finally, after calling back a few times, I spoke with someone else who asked if I signed the release. I confirmed that I did, so he said nothing could be done and the reimbursement less the $50 admin fee was being put thru that evening.
I was then reimbursed. I saw pending transactions the very next morning. The full $1960 was reimbursed to my card (and they also charged me again for that $50 admin fee). They covered their butts. They gave it all back because legally they knew they had to, and then they charged the $50 because they had the signed Release on file. The Release that NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT TO ME IN THE FIRST PLACE.
This is a shady company. Any company with any integrity at all, would have apologized and simply made the full refund that I truly was due. I hope this explains why I would NEVER EVER work with First Premier Home Warranty or recommend them to anyone else. They pretty much stole $50 but it was worth that loss, to find out who and what they were before getting in any deeper with them.
If I had stayed on past that first 30 day waiting period, even though they say you can cancel at any time for a full prorated refund, they do not talk about the $50 Admin Fee charged for each and every month you cancel for and the fact that IF you did file a claim prior to cancelling, they will also be taking back any and all monies they spent on that claim. While you would not have to pay anything more to them, it is likely that most, if not all, of your prorated refund will be eaten up by their fees.
In fairness, I will say that some of what I just stated about cancellation seems to be normal practice within the industry, but not the $50 admin fee charged for each and every month (there is normally a single admin fee) and no other company did not honor the full refund policy for the first 30-day-waiting period. Please do NOT work with First Premier Home Warranty, and if you have begun looking into their services, as initially stated above, run as fast as you can and never look back. I sincerely hope that this review/warning saves some of you some unnecessary grief and expense.

Very bad service and communication... No protection help, taking monthly fee, and deductible for the claim but nothing is covered. No specific description of coverage protection. No benefits to have this home warranty. It waste time and money for this business FIRST PREMIER HOME WARRANTY. I bought a home warranty for $399 from this scam company in August. I called them today for an A/C repair service. They told me it would take 24 to 48 hours for dispatch to email me to schedule service??? It's 83 degrees in my house RN... There's no way I'm waiting 24 to 48 hours. I filed a BBB complaint and have disputed the $399 with my bank. And I had to call an A/C company and pay $175 for repairs!!!! This company is a joke!! I NEED MY MONEY BACK NOW!!!!

I have been with this company for two years and this was the first time I called in a claim. It was for one of my AC units where a problem was discovered during regular maintenance. I sent them the quote and after trying to get help and not successful 3 times, finally got a person to pick up and help. Sent in pictures, quotes, etc. Basically I did all the pre-work for them. Their response was to pay for less than 1/10 the quoted part cost based on some mysterious blue book (that they cannot produce). In calling to try and talk to someone, and finally reaching a person to pick up, the response was both condescending and rude and followed with being hung up on - three times! Then they started with emails and said I had to sign the document that I still needed to talk about cost. After several emails (5) to try and get a response their only response is to call back the general number again and they will not talk about the cost.
I asked them to send a person out that could install it for the low cost they provided, they refused (rudely saying this was not their problem). They refused to send their own person out to evaluate if the part they quoted would even fit. They stopped emailing me almost a month ago and have told me to just call the general number instead of having a manager call me, which I have now requested 6 times. If you want bad customer service, repairs for 1/10 the cost, being talked down to, being ghosted, this is the company for you. For me, one star is generous.

The salesman called Joe ** sold me the platinum plan with all parts coverage last December. But when I filed a claim for AC not cooling down this June, they denied all parts requested by it contractor and only wanted to pay $30 for 3 pounds Freon. After I complained about it, they sent me the basis document which was different from what I received last December. Even by now I didn't receive any penny from the claim. Fraudulent policy!

Well you buy their plan but when you need them they ignore you and they send someone to fix the problem but is cost them a new item. They offer you a low amount of cash to close the issue and if you don't accept it they don't answer emails phone calls and when you call for a new problem forget about it. They hang up the phone and they don't even reimburse you for fixing it or what you pay them. Just hire a lawyer for this.

Contracted with this company 7/3/23. I was quoted a rate of $434.41 for the year, with monthly billing. I was charged the full amount and when I inquired why, I was told I lost the monthly billing option because of the "Senior discount" they gave me. I made a claim 8/2/23; after being referred to two different contractors I still did not get repairs. The first reference was invalid email and no answer to phone message: the second one made an appointment but was a no show.
After I notified First Premier that the 2nd referral was a no show, they advised me to find a contractor and they would see if they could work something out. I was very dissatisfied with their inability to secure a contractor, and advised them I wanted to cancel the account. I was told they could only refund 1/2 of the amount I had paid, but I insisted I wanted to cancel anyway. I have not had contact with them since. It seems they have blocked my phone number so I cannot call them, and they do not respond to my emails. Once they got my money, I was dumped!

My Jenn-Air range top element went out. After finally locating a repair person (I had to do that), he advised me that parts were no longer available, and it could not be repaired. I was offered $200 to replace a range that costs more than 10X that amount - completely unsatisfactory. I worked 35 years in real estate and I never heard of such an offer. I would appreciate your help on this matter.

Warning; This is the worst Warranty Company. They have horrible customer service. They don't bank their product & you can't even review them on BBB. Things have gotten so Toxic that I've had to file a complaint with the Attorney General. Stay Far Away. (P.S. They treated my mom just as poorly with a different situation. She was so angry that she filed a complaint 1st. I really regret recommending them to her).
I bought a Home Warranty Policy "Special Promo" to get an extra year free & $15 discount on my Service Fees. I was promised Cancellation at any time without any problems because I'm disabled & on a fixed income. When I called to file a Claim for a leak & cancel the remaining years, I was told the "Years" couldn't be separated, & I'd had have any amount paid for my "Claims" deducted from my refund. All Legal & Marketing Documents ONLY address! 1 Year Policies, therefore, if the Merchant failed to Excluded mine from this Rule under the "Special Promotion" I purchased, then they were in breach of their contract.
My Credit Card Company agreed & refunded the money, but weeks after the dispute was closed the Merchant's Lawyer sent a letter with an email sent their Sales Manager emailed me with the contact info of a Plumber. Very disappointed with this company. After placing a claim for my air conditioning I was assigned a technician to come out. When I contacted the company that was assigned, I was told that their technician was in the hospital. I contacted Premier and was told that I could use my own technician and to email the invoice if they were unavailable to be reached by phone. Well New York is on Eastern time, 3 hours ahead of Az, (they are not available 24 hrs, only answering service) and I followed procedure, paid the invoice, emailed the invoice and now am told the repair was not authorized or covered. Unfortunately it was 115 degrees that day and could not wait. Communication is poor at best.

I gave them a try based on the reviews I saw and it was totally false. They won't fix anything as their brochure describes, I had a washer issue and they made me pay and wait on a partial reimbursement for the repair. I paid extra for A/C coverage and they won't fix my A/C at all. Don't do what I did, don't try them.

WARNING STAY AWAY! They accused me of one small part of my dishwasher broke on the 14th so they accuse me of it happening before the 30 days was that but it happened right after the 30-day waiting period, right after and it doesn't matter if it happened right after or have been happening six months later. I still waited the 30 days but they denied me because this woman who I was talking to for about 10 minutes contacted them.
She contacted them and then she goes, "Well you're even denied." This is 10 minutes later and she saw that the date was the 14th so that she made it up in her own mind that I was denied but I was never denied prior to that. It depends on who you get on the phone but the thing is prior to that the company that they gave me a name and number they were scammers too. They kept on lying to me also and then when I called back about this you know and they reinstated mine and then they to get more information they were not sending the company the plans company for approval but they were.
The appliance company sent them a letter First premiere and they refuse to send it back. They didn't want to send it back! I wasn't denied at first and I was asking about this place that they recommended who were foreigners who don't even have a record of anything and they were based in Brooklyn like this first premier is and then all of a sudden I'm denied. But I would never was denied because they gave me an address and a phone number, why give me an address and phone number if I was denied. I'm glad I did not have to pay the $60 only because the technician couldn't get his thing working because I had a credit card and so I didn't pay the 60 bucks for that reason otherwise that would have been another thing I would have disputed.
But First premiere refuse to do anything. Then they after it was the same woman which I didn't realize until afterwards after I got off the phone she goes I'm approved for cash and lui, now they don't want to give me the cash and lui so they lied even about that also. But the cash and Lui would have been so small so small and they are liars liars liars. And then they put you on hold, they transfer you then they put you on hold and they keep you on hold and nobody wants to come on the phone. Nobody takes the call, nobody does, so they also lied about the cash and lui which would have been like about a hundred bucks and they lied about that too. They lied about all these other things.
Anytime I would talk to somebody they just embarrassed themselves and lie lie lie. Every time they lied they embarrass themselves! DO NOT and I repeat to DO NOT go with this company. You're going to be very very very sorry! Sales will tell you one thing, the claims department a totally different. Do not go with this company, do not and I'm telling you do not go with this company! I waited after the 30 days and because I did two days after the 30 days this woman says, "Oh you're denied," after I was speaking to her for 10 minutes and she purposely put it in there that I was denied purposely and then I could tell you all whole bunch of other lies that everybody else was telling me too. They would make up all these things. They're such a bunch of liars. I'm telling you do not go with this company. Do not go with this company. You are going to be very very sorry if you do!
I wasn't denied when I first put the claim in otherwise why would they give me an address of the phone number to call and then I would be lied to with that place. The appliance place that the part was ordered three times I was told that the part is ordered, the part is ordered, the part is ordered. I actually had a technician supposed to be coming out today but with an invisible part because the part was never ordered, the third time I'm being told that the part was ordered and it was never ordered and the technician never even send any of the paperwork in. The appliance place put me on for today to have the technician come here to fix my dishwasher but the part was never ordered. What I found out they're all a joke. They're such a scam, they're a scam scam scam. First premiere is the biggest scam and there's appliance place telling me three different times at the part was ordered. The part was ordered and the technician is going to come out and fix it on this day but the part was not ordered. What a joke! They are a scammer a scammer a scammer and a couple of the sales people said they both told me that they came from Choice Warranty. Well choice warranty is another scammer and they said they don't like their policies that's why they quit. But this place, first premier I had for the long term and I canceled choice warranty after 5 days but I read the bad reviews on choice warranty and after I signed up there was a lot more bad reviews after I signed up for first premier.
They were bad reviews prior but more of them a lot more of them came in after I signed up and this first premier, I did sign up with them and I stayed with them. I experienced very bad service lying after lying after line after lying after lying and the appliance place kept on saying to me the part was ordered. The part was ordered yes they said the part was ordered and it was NEVER ordered but why tell me that unless it was true. But they lied. I think that place is affiliated with this first premiere because they're both based in Brooklyn... I'm in New York state!
Before I signed up it was shortly before I signed up with first premier they accused somebody else of putting a claim in after right after the 30-day period so I guess if you are full of fool enough to go with this company you have to wait like 6 months so you're not denied of putting a claim in right after the 30-day waiting period and my advice to you all if you're a foolish to go with them pay monthly, pay monthly do a test on them to see what they do because I'm telling you right now if they don't do it the first time they will scam you. Scam you. They will do that. I'm telling you right now. The cheaters and liars they're cheaters and liars. They will do it and they'll screw you. They will screw you. they're a scammer scammer scammer company!
I'm going to call them today and I guarantee they won't answer the phone. They'll just because of caller ID, they will be there continual unprofessional selves and just keep me on hold and hold keep me on hold. They are such embarrassing fools, they make total embarrassing fools out of themselves. Don't trust them. They are liars and cheaters and scammers, they are cowards. They're very much cowards. The people that work at first premier are lying cowards! Stay away! WARNING, STAY AWAY from First Premiere the biggest scam home warranty company that you could ever go with! The company that you could ever go with!

They are providing all below services: air conditioning system, heating system, refrigerator, clothes washer, clothes dryer, plumbing system, plumbing stoppage, water heater, Whirlpool bathtub, electrical system, oven/range/stove, cooktop, built-in microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, trash compactor, ductwork, garage door opener, ceiling and exhaust fans, sump pump (permanently installed), septic system, septic pumping, any kind of roof leak.

I had purchase this plan in order to get warranty on my home. I called in 6/7 to get my plumbing done. The plumber came and stated waiting on 1st premier to cover. They denied on 6/30. Tell me to fill out cash lien. In that if any plumbing goes wrong. I cannot call in. I told them I want cancel this plan. Stated I need to pay them 50 for cancelation or they will put a lien on my house. They are crooks. They already take out 45 to get started which I paid $45 for a month. Nothing get started. They called that the waiting period. Then you pay another $45 technically to get your plan get started. Since it wasn't active. Plus I had to pay service call of $60 to tell they will not cover it. All my plumbing needed was a snake. Which it took them only 20 mins to fix. Why having this plan if I have to get someone else to do it.

I was deciding between three home warranty providers. I'd ultimately decided to go with First Premier and purchased one year of service at what seemed to be a great value compared to the other choices. What is even better is that a First Premiere representative call me and offered even better service, at a lower price, and offer the chance to lock that low rate in for six years! Of course, I glad accepted, and he was able to void out the earlier payment I made and signed me up for the six year rate lock. I'm glad I considered First Premier and I look forward to having their coverage.

I had gotten a few different quotes for my home. All of them were confusing and when I was done with one I didn't feel comfortable about the protection or pricing and even didn't understand if certain items were covered or not. Until through Comsumer Affairs helped me get involved with Priemer Home Warranty. They immediately made me feel like family. All my questions were answered and I was so relieved, Their prices were great and they threw in an extra 2 months service free. Their service call fee was 60.00. The others that wanted 85.00 and or 125.00.

I have had a home warranty program for over 5 years with American Home Shield and Fidelity Home Warranty. When I called First Premier, I spoke with Jack **. He spent more time with me than the other companies ever did! I truly felt like he cared about my concerns. He helped me to feel confident that if and when an issue occurs, that First Premier is fair and honest! Hello, I recently joined First Premier home warranty after speaking with a sales rep advising of the many great things this company offers, such as, covering appliances if they are unable to fix them and having customer service reps available that are friendly and easy to speak with. I recently had my a/c unit stop working. First Premier was quick to get service out however I am unfortunately without A/C still in Tucson AZ. I was not contacted by First Premier after the a/c company sent them the repairs needed. I called them asking what was next and was then told the coil to my ac unit was not covered and this would be out of pocket ($2500). I asked for details as I never received my contract once I signed up.
In this contract it advises coils are not covered that are rusted or corroded. This is not the case with my coil. The ac tech that looked at my equipment advised normal wear and tear and stated it is a 10yr old coil- ac units are replaced 10-15yrs. I attempted to discuss this with First Premier and was told I would not “get any other answer speaking to anyone else” once I asked for a supervisor that may be able to help me.
The rep I spoke to was very rude and condescending. We ended the call in hopes I could speak with someone else. I called back and got the same person. This woman advised “like I told you, there’s no one you can speak to until Monday” and stated “here you want to talk to someone”- asked someone for their ext and cold transferred me to a never ending line that no one answered. I am not someone who would go on here just to complain however I don't believe the way I was treated through this entire situation was right. The lack of professional skills was very evident.

I signed up for a new policy and spoke to Tony **, and he explained all the different policies and what they offer. We found the best policy to fit my needs and my budget. I’m excited to start my new policy in September with First Premier Home Warranty. I am glad that they are much more reasonable and provide the same service as one of their competitors.

I am a brand new customer. Had not heard of First Premier before but the representative, Steven **, was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was willing to go the extra mile to ensure I had a great experience. I'm praying I don't need anything major but it's a peace of mind knowing you are covered. The only thing I wasn't too pleased about is the 30-day wait but I love that they have a full refund in that 30 days if you want to cancel for whatever reason. I like that the company appreciates their vets and they have a friends and family program as well as a second property discount. They also price match. Love it!!!

Login link doesn't work, so you cannot even look at your contract online. They do not send you the contract. I've been on hold for 43 minutes. When I purchased this, I was told I had to pay, upfront, for 3 years, now I'm out $1143.18, because I cannot even reach the company! I've received 2 emails, neither of which has any login information, and the phone number just puts you on hold, (didn't give you the option to enter an extension number). They don't even have automated that breaks in occasionally to let you know you haven't been forgotten. I want a refund. I'm going to contact my credit card company, to inform them of these issues.

Salesman was knowledgeable and accommodating and thouroughly listed the available options. He then gave me a much better deal than had been available online. I have not used the insurance yet but am relieved to know that I am completely covered at home for any unforeseen breakdowns of my systems.

I have NO idea how this company has 4 stars? Literally the worst home warranty company I have encountered. They even make their contractors sign a NDA and they can not send you a copy of their service report?! Contractor told us our control panel on our microwave/oven combo wall unit was not working and that it would be about $1k to repair. The unit brand new is over $3k. The home warranty covers this type of repair but it also says they have the right to offer "cash in lieu of repairs". Typical home warranties will give you a decent cash value to replace your unit minus depreciation, if they deem the repairs are too costly. First Premier refused to do the repairs and offered us "cash in lieu of repairs" in the amount of $179.99!! I understand depreciation but the unit is only 3.5 years old. When I called to try and plead my case, I was treated with such disrespect by the agent. I was in shock!! Please learn from me and STAY AWAY from this company. There are far too many other reputable companies to choose from.

I purchased a First Premier extended warranty and it has been a complete disaster. My air conditioner broke down shortly after buying it, but First Premier denied my claim and provided a minimal compensation that didn't even cover the repair costs. They even deducted it from the hefty amount I paid upfront. Stay away from First Premier! They are a fraudulent company.

After searching and even going with another provider, I was impressed with Rep Jason **'s knowledge and response to every question that I had. He answered questions based on his personal experience with other providers as well as his knowledge about the better services First Premier has to offer. I verified all his correct answers. Even the answers that other home warranty providers didn't share with me, the fine print, would have resulted in bad services for me since I'm a single parent on a budget. Once they found out I was a veteran the team continued to search for saving that would benefit me over the life of the policy. What I appreciate the most was there were no pressure tactics or games.

I found them to be friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions that were necessary. Was willing to work with me because of certain things that I did not own. I found pricing to be reasonable. I do belong with another company that I was with for quite a few years but always seem to have been getting a hassle with anything so hopefully they will be hassle free. If not then I'll have to move on and I would rather go without insurance than to have to go through hassles but I do have confidence that they will be good for me.

Calling Jack ** to find status of the refund from my other home warranty provider (was told getting the refund part of the contract.) Also need clarification on when my coverage begins. Left 3 messages. No return call. Beginning to think you're not a very good company to deal with. Will search for a replacement ASAP.

After doing some research, I decided on First Premier. The overall experience was fine, but I wish there was better communication between me and the agent I spoke to on the phone. Given my work schedule, I'd rather communicate through email, but he required that I called which was a little inconvenient at times. Also, when he did respond with an email, his responses were short and not fully helpful. Not getting the information I needed, I offered to continue shopping around for a home warranty company. In the end, he was able to communicate with me and my real estate agent, but I was not impressed with the level of communication.

Tried to give me all kinds of discounts because we were senior and vet home but I could not afford the large amount so I had to go with making my payments on a monthly basis. But I'm okay.
