Once he understood our situation, he transferred us on to Jason who explained all of the coverage and discounts available for us senior citizens. (Guess it's almost worth getting older!     I placed a gas stove starter claim on 4/28. A contractor was assigned to my claim, and I contacted them 4/28. They advised me that they do not do business with First Premier, as they've not had good experiences. I called First Premier same day, and they reassigned a new contractor 5/4. I contacted the new contractor 5/4, they came out 5/4 and I paid them my $75 service fee for their diagnosis.

    They sent over their estimate to First Premier and didn't hear anything back for 3 days. I contacted first premier 5/7 and they advised that I would only get a cash in lieu offer because THEIR assigned contractor's estimate was "more than authorized". It was "authorized" for $67 less than what the contractor could do it for. I'm not sure why I'm being held responsible for THEIR contractor's prices. I signed the cash in lieu offer on May 10, the day I received it, and sent an email following up 5/18 about when we would be getting the funds. First Premier claims email rep said 14-30 days.

    I asked if we could cancel the policy while we wait, since this whole thing is completely unsatisfactory and I've switched to another company. They advised we must keep our policy active while waiting for reimbursement. I then asked if we could backdate our cancelation, since we no longer want this policy and have coverage elsewhere and it doesn't make any sense that we have to pay them again 6/1 just because we are waiting on a reimbursement THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN SIGNED while the policy is active. This company has been nothing less than horrible, and I can't NOT recommend them enough. I hope they see this and offer to make things right.

    Dishonest & unresponsive. This was my worst ever experience with what was supposed to be a home warranty. More than once this company given me the go ahead for using my own tech and then refuses to refund my money or say oh that's not covered. On another occasion even the technician that they've recommended refused to complete the work unless I pay out of pocket because he claims they're terrible at paying for service rendered. The so called supervisor always sounds disgruntled and yesterday he hung up on me because I told him this company is conducting shady business.

    I purchased a 6 yr contract. I filed a claim after 2 months and it was denied. After many phone calls, it was approved for a small portion of the actual cost of repair. I contacted them to cancel my policy after 6 months and they wanted to refund less than half the amount of the contract. The contract and website do not mention cancelation fees.     In Jan of 2022 I paid 446.78 for a home warranty. On May the 10th my ac went out in 90 degree heat and I called to make a claim and I was told it would take 3 or 4 days to process it. So I called my own tech and they came out and replaced a part that was under warranty and I paid 268.00 out of my pocket for the labor and service call. The claim was approved to be fixed. I have sent this company over 200 emails and mailed them over 4 letters with all my documents and a year later they still refuse to send me my refund. I paid for a service that I never received. They keep all of my money. I was told over 3 times that my check was in the mail but it never came. They refused to work with any agency to work out any resolution with me. They lied to the TN att. gen office telling them that my check was put in the mail but it never came.

    They failed to respond to the NY dept of insurance. They refused to work with the NY BBB. They would not work with the ny att.gen office on a resolution. This was a very minor ac repair and this is the way I was treated by this company for no reason. They stole 446.78 from me for a service that I never got to use and I had to pay for my own ac repairs costing me more money out of my pocket. I have emails and voice mails saying that I was going to get my check but it never comes. In October I signed a cash in lieu of form saying that I was going to get my money but it did not work at all. I have never had another home warranty company treat me in this manner.

    I switched to First Premier Home Warranty because the last one would take a week or longer to get somebody out when I had issues. First Premier promised that they have a 24-hour turn around that if there's an emergency it's within 6 to 8 hours. I got all of this in an email and so I did switch. Within 30 days of having First Premier Home Warranty my hot water heater stopped producing hot water. I called them and they said they would get back to me. They did send me an email that went to my spam. Apparently I was required to call the plumber and they don't put the message out to the plumber nor does the plumber get a hold of you so if you're not careful and you don't see the email in your spam it might appear that they didn't even get a hold of you.

    I called the plumber the following day. The plumber asked me to take photos of the hot water heater and talk with him on the phone to give him a description. I paid $60 service fee and plumber required it be either Zelle or Cashapp. I thought it was kind of odd that he does not accept credit cards. Because the hot water heater is a little bit older he said that the hot plate is not replaceable. And that the hot water tank would have to be replaced. It took him 4 days to get the report to First Premier. I had to text him, and called First Premier to get this done.

    First Premier rudely told me it would take 24 to 48 hours. Three days later, I called the warranty company on as I did not hear from them. This is now 7 days without hot water. When I called the warranty company, a male voice immediately the person picked up and said please hold, and placed me on hold. It rang to after 5 minutes of hold music, again, a male voice picked up said please hold and it went back to music, then the call was hung up on. The call went back to him picked up against it please hold and then it was hung up.

    I called back again a second time and again person picked up so please hold then 5 minutes later it rang back to them somebody else picked up the phone who was relatively grumpy and I asked about the request and he was very rude and he specified well the plumber said that there is a incredible amount of rust and corrosion and we do not pay to have hot water tanks replaced we only pay to have the hot plate replace, but we do not cover rust or corrosion. Your claim is denied. I asked about what rust and corrosion. He claimed the plumber said there was rust and corrosion. He was extremely rude.

    There was no rust or corrosion it just simply was a heating element that no longer worked but was was not replaceable according to the plumber. I called the plumber back to ask him what was in his report and he said that he did not specify there was any rusting corrosion because there wasn't any. He told me I could fight this with an attorney as his report does not state that and he was sorry that this company was doing me like this. He specified the heating element is not replaceable due to the age of the hot water tank and that he requested a replacement.

    He quoted me $1600 to replace the hot water tank. Even if First Premier did replace the hot water heater, their service contract states they only pay up to $500. They have extremely unrealistic low limits for replacement of all major appliances. And they have a huge list of what's not covered. So it would only cover a quarter maybe a half at most depending on what the item is. First Premier lied in regards to what they claim was in the report, the people are rude and the salespeople will say anything to get you to buy. That is simply bad business.

    I have officially requested that my contract be cancelled and have requested this within 30 days of the contract. The contract states that you have to request this full refund within 30 days or else they're going to charge you a service fee plus the $75 refund fee. I'm not sure if I'll actually get a full refund they may claim that because they're not open on Saturday they didn't get it in time. I'm including a picture of the actual start date and it also has a snapshot of me sending an email to them asking them to cancel my account. I'm sending this review just in case anybody else actually wants to look into this company. Definitely will not ever use this company again.

    I would not recommend First Premier Home Warranty company to anyone. Firstly, they have denied every repair claim on my home appliances. Secondly, they never communicated with me that claim was denied or why. I had no heat for weeks and they never returned my calls when I asked for follow up. Thirdly, they are not following up with the technicians who were sent to the house and dragging their feet with paying them.

    And most importantly their contracts are written in such way that no repair could ever be completed. I pointed out a part needing repair as not being excluded from the contract, but they still denied repair stating that this part belongs to another part. In that case no repair will ever be covered so what's the point of this warranty? Very shady practices. I'm stuck with newly purchased home with no heat, broken pipes and now broken fridge. Prior to purchasing this warranty the seller assured me with great coverage and now when I need it, it's really disappointing and helpless being left without any help and so many broken appliances.

    First Premier Home Warranty is a scam and fraudulent. They promise to repair or replace the item in your home. However, they have a clause that states they can offer a cash payout for the broken item. This gives them the opportunity to walk away from any claim for Pennies on the dollar. Example: I need to have my dishwasher fixed. Instead of repairing the dishwasher, which is a $500 repair, they said it wasn’t worth the repair and offered me $126 to go away. They can choose to do this with any item in any home. This group is a scam. Don’t pay the money for a policy no matter how great of a deal they promise.

    The First Premier Warranty company is the worst company that I have ever used. First they are hard to get a hold of on the phone to report the claim. I have had to claims and they use every reason not to pay the claim. Pick another company. Their communications is poor at best.

    I have had a few different home warranty companies over the years. Never have I had any problems until this company. First they do not proactively contact you with the results of your service request. I opened an order on 12/16/22. On 12/22/22 I had not heard from anyone so I called them and they gave me the name and number of the service provider. I had to call them. The service provider came out quickly and they completed and sent their findings to First Premier. Again, radio silence. I called them on 12/29/22 and they said it was declined.

    When I asked why they produced a document I had never seen with all kinds of excluded coverages. I asked for a supervisor and was told they were all busy, but someone would call me. Never received a call. I called them again about a week later and spoke with a supervisor. He gave me completely different reasons for it being declined. I asked for a full refund so we could go on our separate ways. He said I had to email. I did on 1/6/23 and again on 1/15/23, still no word from them.

    This company is absolutely the worst. Do not do business with them.

    We enrolled in full coverage for our appliances back in 2/2021. On 12/25 our Refrigerator stopped working and the Tech who came out on 12/28 verified is was a broken condenser A MECHANICAL FAILURE. Due to the Christmas holiday it wasn't surprising that a tech wasn't available to work on the Fridge right away. The Tech told us that his findings will be communicated with First Premier then they will contact us to let us know if they will repair the condenser or elect to get us a new Fridge. First Premier NEVER tried to contact us with an update to the claim and they made us do 100% of the reaching out. Multiple times when we did they told us we were "in the queue" and should have an answer shortly. This happened 3 different times, each time they made a promise that we would be contacted...WE NEVER WERE... I asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor and I was never connected to one.

    They told me they would transfer me but they just put me on hold and then the same employee resumed the conversation. Why would they not transfer me to a supervisor? That should not be a problem. Even if the denial is legitimate (which I can't see how) at least it would give me an opportunity to let someone know how we were mistreated. We ended up without a fridge from 12/25 to 1/4....10 DAYS!!!! How crazy is that. Finally on 1/3 someone from the Claim dept told me to call back at 5:30 for an answer. We called back multiple times and no one picked up the phone. So I called back on 1/4 and First Premier finally confirmed the denial....the reason I was told was they do not cover "SEALED" appliances. As you can see here....from 12/28 -1/4...we were kept waiting for a DENIAL... We wound up purchasing the new Fridge which will arrive next week.

    Updated on 01/06/2023: I’ve filed complaints with the NY State Attorney General’s office and the Better Business Bureau. The company lied to the NYAG’s office and said they’d resolve the claim but when I call they demand that I remove all negative reviews and sign a consent form that bars me from posting any other reviews. They representatives sound like thugs who talk over me, boast about their ‘Harvard Lawyers’, and yell that they feel threatened when I make demands for a refund. Obviously this scam is predicated on good reviews to keep the cash coming in. They get people to post 5 star reviews lauding the nice people who sell the policies, but read the 1 star reviews: the company doesn’t pay money out, they only take it in. The address they list appears to be fake. According to Google Maps, it’s a small store that as of July 2022 was the White Velvet Spa. Run away from this company!

    Original Review: I purchased a home warranty from 1st Premier this summer. When I tried to request service for a broken garage door opener in November I discovered what a huge and costly mistake I'd made. After extreme difficulty in reaching them, no service representative called me. Another call resulted in delays reaching a representative and a promise of a call from a service representative which never came. Somi posted a negative review honestly summarizing my experience on Google. I quickly received a call from a First Premier 'supervisor' who demanded I remove the negative review before they would address my service request. I refused and they have defaulted on their contract. This is a totally unethical company.

    First Premier Home Warranty denied our appeal due to "short to ground" for the second time even though the service tech said it was due to normal wear and tear. When I told him I followed up on the warranty company's phone call to the tech and called him out on his lie he immediately told me I needed 36 months of records for an air conditioner that came with a home I just bought. There are multiple reviews of this kind of activity from this company on multiple social media sites. Todd was rude and condescending once he was caught in his lie. And he would not provide the denial in writing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY WARRANTY COMPANIES, especially First Premier.

    Switch home warranty. They said they would cancel previous home warranty called back a few days later I got another bill for my previous home warranty. They told me they would waive the 30 day activation. I called to make a claim. They cannot wait that I sent them proof of coverage still nothing the suppose supervisor, Todd was rude to me and then tried to accuse me of pre-existing claims. The other person, David ** lied to me, told me that he would waive my 30 day fee.

After reading the exclusions I found that my property had as many exclusions as inclusions and I tried to cancel the policy, ha ha that request went unheeded and only a lot of double talk ensued, they had no intention of canceling the policy. They had no intention of notifying the credit card company and now more double talk.

    I signed up for the plan and paid $42 on 7/20/22. I was also charged on 8/20/22 for $42. I had to wait 30 days to file a claim, which I did on 8/22/22 for a plumbing concern. I filed claim #700 and was assigned a plumber on 8/23/22. However, the plumber never returned my call or came to my home. I called First Premier and they assigned another plumber, who also never returned my call or made an appointment. He even said the warranty company contacted him but didn't state they were a home warranty company.

    They seem to select contractors that are not professional, licensed, or highly rated. I called to cancel my warranty and was told to pay a $50 cancellation fee or face collections (even though they don't have my SSN). I told them I already paid $84 dollars and did not receive any service. All they did was waste my time. I paid the $50 to get rid of them for good. I also made them aware I will be complaining about their horrible service and warning others about them.

He was really good about giving me all the information that I needed in a quick and straightforward fashion and he made the 5 Year Plan offer really hard to turn down, although normally I would turn down those kind of offers.     Please don’t buy a home warranty. They want your money BUT they really look for ways to avoid paying your claim at all costs. This one, First Premier Home Warranty is the 2nd most deceptive company I’ve ever done business with, and they truly seem of the criminal mindset. I’ve only filed two claims with this company but because they are impossible to work with I voluntarily ended the contract just so I don’t have to ever talk to them again. Harassment is the best word to describe. On record are over 100 emails, two claims not fully paid, lies, lies, and more lies. I’ve also filed two reports with police, & will have a website up soon when they forced me to change my number after turning my personal information over to several marketing companies (owned by Walker I’m going to find out?).

    Yes! First Premier Home Warranty Horror. This company is Unethical, cheating, dishonest - and good luck getting them to honor their contract (why so many “positive” reviews** up about them but the bad reviews ALL talk about scams). Attached is a photo of the part they shipped without installing. The website is going up because they refused to pay the install fee on two claims.

    **Regarding fake reviews most of us are aware that very deceitful companies pay for fake reviews right?

    After reviewing this case we see that this claim has been Fully approved both. The company that was assigned to install the part, stated that the customer was threatening the technician that came to the home. Customer stated to ship part to her home and she will install it on her behalf.
