    There's not a 0 star. Do NOT waste your money with this company. I just tried to make a claim on my fridge. Do not answer their phones. Left holding for over 10 minutes then hung up on. Person called me in response to email I sent. Hung up on me when I told her I was not happy with my service. Now no one will answer my calls. I wasted $400. Service person they assigned to me. Told me they owed him thousands of dollars in unpaid repairs on claims.

    -0- stars, but I couldn't leave less than 1. I purchased a 6 year warranty with First Premier. In the past 3 years, I have had 3 claims. This company is a total SCAM!! They're customer service representatives (if you can call them that!) are RUDE every time I have called either to make a claim, follow up on a claim or try to resolve a denial. NEVER use the technician they send out as not one of them is qualified for the job, they travel over 50 miles and then try to scam you by paying cash on site because they say the warranty won't cover it. Water heater-denied because they don't cover tanks. What?

    Air conditioner condenser- (with their technician) took over 6 MONTHS of calls and customer rep yelling at me because I wanted explanation of why they were only going to cover $600 of the $1800 invoice. 2 months later, I received a check for $500. When I called saying that the check was suppose to be $600, they said they had to take out two $50 'service fees' to the technician. Which I paid cash upon arrival because tech wouldn't even look at unit until we Venmo'd the service fee.

    Stove- gas oven stopped working. 4 days for their tech to come out because he had to travel 50 miles to walking kitchen, open the door to oven and say 'it's broken'. Took 3 months after claim was made to be offered $300. Complained that 1) the technician didn't even try to repair, as the oven is only 4 years old and cost over $1000. 2) that $300 was not even close to replacing a 'like-kind' appliance. Customer rep argued with me (and I am not an arguing type!) that is what the oven was worth and that is what they pay out. period...and hung up on me.

    Garage Opener- Car was locked inside garage (we have no other door in/out of garage) with broken garage door opener. 2 days to receive a technician. They got open, repaired garage opener and replaced springs because 'they looked old'. Invoice was denied because they don't cover the springs. Ok, then the claim is for just the garage opener. No, they won't cover any of it because it included a 'non-covered' item even though we didn't need the springs they wouldn't believe me that the springs were not the original issue. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM!!

    I regret ever signing up with this company. They took my money but gave me nothing in return. When I decided to cancel, they refused to refund me, even though I’d been a customer for less than a year. Most contractors won’t work with them because they don’t pay their bills. A few contractors came to my home and later told me they would never take another job for this company. That left me stuck without service when I needed it most.

    Customer service is a complete run-around. They stall, make excuses, and promise a manager will call back at a specific time — but no one ever calls back. It’s all games while your issue goes unresolved. I’ve used other home warranty companies and never had these problems. 1st Premier is by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with — dishonest, unreliable, and predatory. ⚠️ Do yourself a favor: stay far away from this company. They will gladly take your money but leave you stranded when you actually need help.

    Company refused to pay their handymen. They were a pain to deal with and the handymen drove an hour one way to the customers and had to make three trips there. Not only are the handymen out their time and effort they had to swallow the cost of the materials too.

    Most of the reviews were not very good but salesman convinced me to try the plan and cancel if I wasn't happy. Verified with salesperson that there were no cancelation fees as many of the complaints had to do with large cancelation charges and took months to get a refund. I paid for the first month which is a 30 day wait period. My my welcome email said to make sure I kept a copy of my contract which they did not send to me. I called that day to ask about the contract but was left on hold for 10 minutes and no one picked up, called the next day and same thing. On fifth day I called to cancel the contract and was told I had to wait up to 90 days to cancel and get a refund and in meanwhile they would continue to charge my card each month.

    At that point there was no mention of a cancellation charge. Then I get an email from them stating that there is a $75.00 cancellation fee and there would be no refund and i must copy a statement that they wrote that says I agree with this policy and send it back to them before they would cancel my month to month policy. No matter what the salesperson tells you they don't stand behind it and all the negative things you read about them are all true. I found out in two days I couldn't trust them imagine if I had to actually use their "service". Subsequent calls to them go directly on hold and the manager and salesperson won't return my calls.

    If I could give less than a star, I would. I purchased a 6-year plan which started 7/24/2025. I filed 1 claim so far and have so many issues with getting it approved.

    Good things about this company - cheaper priced plan, cheaper technician fee, & fast to assign a technician to the claim. Bad things - Horrible customer service and mostly deny claims. Only 1 representative answered the phone with the name of the company. Most don't want to provide their name, they are rude, hang up on you, and/or put you back to the original prompts. I had a bathroom plumbing issue they kept denying. I asked to speak to a manager numerous times and either one was not available to where I would get a call back or I would be disconnected.

    I finally got a manager, Todd, on the phone who talked over me, said I was condescending, threatened to hang up on me, said I don't know more about the policy than him, etc. He finally listened to me go through the invoice. He questioned every line-item charge from the contractor. Finally, he agreed to send it back up to the underwriter for review and hung up on me. I called 48 hours later, and Robert told me it was approved, and I would get a form in the mail to agree to the reimbursement. I asked how much would be reimbursed and he said it doesn't show him that, but it would be on the form. I asked how I could cancel, he said I have to stay for 1 year before I could request a cancellation and there would be a fee of $75. I asked where that is in the policy, and he said under cancellation. I read that section and nowhere did it say I have to stay for 1 year. He kept saying then you must be in the brochure not the policy. He then hung up on me.

    I strongly encourage you to look at other home warranty companies since this one will try to deny every claim, their customer service is extremely unprofessional/rude, you are stuck in the contract after 30 days, etc. I will continue with them by filing claims when needed and fighting for my rights based on their policy coverage since they won't refund my money.

    PLEASE READ! It is my recommendation to stay away from First Premier Home Warranty due to my bad experience with them. I should have read the reviews, as there are so many bad ones about this company before I purchased a home warranty. I’m writing this review hoping to share my nightmare of experience, so others will not have to experience the same issue. Here is my story. I purchased a 1-year Home Warranty policy. They tried to upsell me to a longer term, however, I wanted to try it first. I never received any contract or agreement with terms, so I contacted the company multiple times and still never received it. I did not feel comfortable after my interaction with them so I decided to cancel my policy after a few weeks. This is where my nightmare began. After months of phone calls, emails and certified letters trying to cancel my policy, I was getting the run around.

    I was put on hold for long period of times and given incorrect information, along with no response or delay response. They included a $75 administrator/ service fee to cancel my policy; however, I never was informed of a fee prior. I finally got so frustrated, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. They were able to assist by contacting the company. First Premier Home warranty offer was prorated from the current day, not the day I started my request to cancel. It was only a small fraction of my cost. I paid $544.39, and they offered me $79.39. I refused to accept this and looking into my options to take them to small claim court. Please strongly consider your choices and I wish you good luck.

    First Premier Home Warranty is the biggest rip off that I have experienced. I paid for a year of coverage. I had a claim on my washer and my air conditioner. Both were denied. On my washer, I was given $225 cash in lieu. But my payment to the tech was not returned. They said my AC was not covered. 5 months into my year, I wrote to cancel my coverage. They acknowledged receipt of my cancelation notice.6 months later, I get a call to renew. I tell them about my cancelation and they tell me to resubmit it. I forwarded the same message and get a message that there is a $75 cancelation fee. Not only do I not get my refund for my cancelation before the year ends, but I have to pay. Please do not fall for this SCAM!

    ⭐ 1-Star Review – Extremely Disappointed with First Premier Home Warranty. I am beyond frustrated with the terrible service from First Premier Home Warranty. When my washing machine broke down, I expected a fair replacement or repair under the policy I’ve been paying for. Instead, they offered me a laughable “cash buyout” of only $153 for a washer that costs over $600 to replace. This is insulting. A warranty is supposed to provide peace of mind and actual protection when something breaks—not a lowball payout that doesn’t come close to covering the cost. I pay good money for this coverage, and when I finally needed it, they completely failed me.

    The process was slow, communication was poor, and at the end of the day, they tried to push me off with an amount that doesn’t even cover half of a replacement. This feels like a scam, and I would never recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the stress and frustration—look elsewhere for a warranty provider that actually honors their commitments. First Premier Home Warranty is not worth it.

    This is the worst company we have ever used! The 1st call we made was to have our garbage disposal fixed. 1st company they sent said they don't work in our area, the 2nd one said they don't do warranty work and the 3rd one said they didn't pay their mileage. We called First Premier to let them know what was happening, they told us they would check it out and get back with us. Never heard from them. Now we have a broken Kenmore washing machine under warranty that cannot be repaired and should be replaced; they are only offering me $156.16!! We have decided to cancel with them and use someone else. We would never refer anyone to this company.

    This company is a SCAM.! If you want to suffer long wait times in the call, peanut to unrealistic payback to your claim then please purchase the insurance with this company. They are horrible with the customer service. Always will force you to reimburse channel and will reimburse minuscule amount. Ex: My microwave got broken and the price of the same/similar model was nearly $400 but they paid only $100 after following up for 3 months with multiple call drops, long wait times and complete waste. Please don’t fall in their trap of price lock for multiple years.!! Stay away from this scammers.!

    Technicians were horrible, took the unit apart, and left; they never came back to put it back together. After calling and calling the home warranty, they never did anything, such as return our calls or send new techs out to fix the issue.

    THERE IS NO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. I placed a claim (for an issue we pay EXTRA for), and was provided with technician info and was told they would contact us within 48 hours. 72 hours later I tried to contact them, only to find they had gone out of business. So we had to pay out of pocket to have to issue resolved (to the tune of $3,600).

    Today, I called to place another claim and had to leave voicemail. For starters, the answering machine/recording makes no mention of the company name. Then I tried to submit a claim online, and was unable to submit a claim until the first claim is closed! I would have to say this company is basically a scam. And if they're not? I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE! You don't get much more unprofessional than this company.

    I signed up after receiving a call from Steven ** at First Premier and I listened to his pitch, gave him my credit card info. After hanging up, I realized I already have good coverage and my next door neighbor is my grandson who is in construction. I immediately called back to cancel after finding out that I was charged $399.00. After several calls, I was connected with the cancellation department. That was four months ago. I signed a cancellation form and after waiting a couple of weeks, I was informed that their wait time ranges from 30 to 90 days. I never used the warranty service and last time I called I received an email informing me it might take 190 days because I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Does this sound like a legitimate company? It has been banned several states. Be forewarned.

    This company is a total scam. They use subpar contractors, because most reputable contractors will not work with them. Their customer service center is a joke. It is almost impossible to get in touch with anyone. They will lie in order to not have to service a claim. It is a very unprofessional company and I would highly recommend not using them. They are cheap for a reason. Don't waste your money with this group. If you check out the majority of their reviews, you will see mostly one star reviews. They have earned them!!!!

    I purchased a home warranty in Feb 2025 with 2 free months for $399. I just submitted a claim and they have no technicians in my area so what value does this warranty give me? I submitted a request to cancel my contract and refund the prorated balance due me - keep in mind I've only used 6 of my 14 months.     7/29/25, 4:21pm, Tuesday. Please can anyone reply and or return the call. The messaging service took several messages but no one has reached out. At this point, I wish to cancel my policy and have the remainder of money paid as I paid in full promptly processes & returned to me. Policy **. I tried contacting Roy ** the name on the email but he told me you all are busy. I explained that I was on hold for more than 1 hour at a time but he again states everyone is busy. This is no way to operate a business. I pay for a service but cannot reach anyone at extensions 1-4 and 0 for the operator.

    As I type this now I’ve on hold and have been now for 33 minutes after John in Claims finally answered and could not help me he transferred me to the hold I’m currently on now. I need information as to where to send my cancellation request to. He John, did not know if if was .com or .gov??? He gave me cancellation@firstpremierhonewarranty.gov…. Then cancellation@firstpremierhonewarranty.com. Then info@firstpremier.com. At this point I am not sure that First Premier Home Warranty is a legitimate company. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ANYONE REACH OUT TO ME. Thanks.

    Where do I start with this company.. My washing Machine broke on 6/11. I called them. Put a claim in. The contractor came out. Told me what was wrong. I paid $60, he stated they would order the parts and should be here to fix it in 2 weeks. It’s now 7/25 and I haven’t heard from, the contractor. I called First Premier on 7/9 to follow up and the lady said and I quote “Did we send you a contractor that took your money and never came back out”. I said, "Hold up. If you know you have horrible contractors why do you keep using them." I was told I could hire my own contractor and they would reimburse me.

    I called today 7/25 and was told the parts are not covered in my warranty. Like WTH IKYFL what is the point of having this company. I said I don’t want the service and the rude customer services agent said, "We will send you to collections" unless I send a email to cancel. I completed a BBB complaint simple because they are a huge scam and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do business with this company.

    You have call the technician yourself, they don't call the tech. I should never left the other home company that I was with. I called AC tech and got vm, that was at 8:00am and now it's 12:28pm, no calls from tech nor First Premier. A lesson learned,,,

    My experience with First Premier Home Warranty was deeply disappointing and frustrating. I initially received a phone call from one of their sales representatives who claimed they partnered with USAA and were offering a special discounted rate specifically for military families. Trusting the offer and the apparent affiliation, I made the decision to leave American Home Shield and switch to First Premier, reassured that I would receive the same level of service at a lower cost. For nearly a year, I didn’t need to make a claim. However, when my A/C unit began blowing hot air last month—during an intense heat wave—I submitted a repair claim. I received confirmation that my claim was accepted, and I was told a contractor would reach out within two days. That never happened.

    When I followed up with First Premier, I was shocked to be told that my claim had been closed because my account had supposedly been terminated two months earlier. Confused, I contacted their Billing department, where a representative informed me they had attempted to reach me but received no response. Yet I had never received any notice of a cancellation or missed payment. I explained that my account was set to autopay through my checking account, and no issues had ever occurred. The billing representative apologized but admitted there was nothing they could do to reopen the claim or correct the issue.

    In the end, I had no choice but to reactivate my previous coverage with American Home Shield. Unfortunately, this meant serving a mandatory 30-day waiting period before being eligible to file another repair claim. Meanwhile, my home remained without functioning air conditioning during a stretch of extreme temperatures and ongoing heat advisories in my area. This entire ordeal not only caused unnecessary stress and discomfort, but also revealed a serious lack of transparency, accountability, and customer service within First Premier Home Warranty. Their failure to deliver on promised services and communicate vital account information made the experience nothing short of unacceptable.

    Joined First Premier at a reasonable cost. First repair washer (took 3 visits) to fix, cost $60 plus $100. Next came the oven (on 3rd visit still not fixed) - total cost for the 3 visits was $285. Oven still not working properly. Company just says the service provider is the issue, of course the service providers say it's the company. Changing to AHS immediately. Daughter used for years - great service

    Don’t buy this warranty. The customer service is terrible when calling in to get help with a claim. The contractor are awful. The coverage is terrible. Contractors asked to take a picture of the electrical box. Never came out. Sent in a estimate off 500$. I lets them know no one came out. Told me they would only pay 150$ of it but I had to pay 60$ for a picture. 60$ doesn’t go with the cost of the job. I could go on and on but why bother.

    Received numerous calls (too many). Seemed agent was in a hurry to close the deal. Really do not like that agent has a unusually brusque manner.     They told me to hire my own repair person because none of the companies they offered would come to do the work. The companies told me they never get paid and will not do their service anymore. I had the repair done and sent them the bill. They offered to pay $100 on a $500 bill. I finally agreed to that because there was no other option. It's been 5 months and still no check. The contract says you can cancel the warranty. We asked to do that, and they offered to pay us $560.58 on a 3-year contract that cost us $1619.58. They said $1059.00 was an administrative fee to do the cancellation. We have still received no payment 30 days later. Don't use this company.

    My ac unit stopped working last 2 Fridays ago. Technician came out and did a thorough check on it. It was out of Freon. The compressor stopped working which caused the freon to leak out over time. The technician in his diagnostic says he highly recommend they replace the system because it's about 14 yrs old. My claim was denied bc they don't replace that part and refused to replace my unit. So now I gotta come up with money to replacement for the whole system. Gonna cancel their service soon and go with another company. Because I have a special needs child and I'm disabled myself. We can't be living in a very hot house that gets up to 91° degrees.

    BEWARE!!! SCAM!!! THEY FIX NOTHING!!! I was told a lot of LIES by Michael when he sold me a three year policy. I have had 4 claims and everyone was denied for reasons that are not listed in my contract paperwork. They just tell me you are denied look at your contract, and hang up on you. There is no other person above this operator that you can talk to. Plus, it is also the worst uninformative website to deal with. You can not get any help from anyone! I have to call to get the status of my claim, I have to call to have the claim closed after it was denied. No customer service, just rude operators. Michael told me if I am not satisfied I can get a refund at any time.

    Because of their poor service, I called to cancel my 3 year contract that I had for only 6 months. They wanted to charge me to cancel. They use the cost of the repair service call they claim they paid to the service company above the $45 you pay for the service fee is added to your account. If you cancel you need to pay all that back. So when you want to cancel, they are charging you for what they paid out. If I cancelled I would have owed them! First Premier Warranty is a SCAM!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! We need a class action lawsuit against these people. They should not be able to get away with this scam!

    Not a trustworthy company. I was charged for a plan without consent and I've spent the whole month trying to get my money back, but nobody wants to help me with this issue. Everyone I talk to tells me different information (“It takes 3-5 business days” then the next says “14-90 days”). I am constantly being transferred and having to call the number back. They say money back guarantee, but it takes about the whole month to even get it processed. Not worth my time.

I am writing this as a serious warning to any potential customer considering First Premier Home Warranty. My recent experience with this company, has been deeply disturbing and raises serious red flags about their professionalism, ethics, and internal operations.

    After trying to resolve a claim under my policy, I was subjected to unbelievably inappropriate, unprofessional, and borderline abusive behavior by a representative named Todd **. He made crude, unsettling remarks, shared inappropriate comments about former employees, and even falsely accused me of being discriminatory after he lied and said we had never spoken before when we just did 30 min prior to being hung up on multiple times, he actually gave me a name and said his alter ego Steve got on the phone. Sooooo creepy! I was misled by various representatives, and given false or conflicting information regarding my policy.

    What's worse, as I looked further into the company, I found out they've been named in multiple lawsuits, including a federal class action (Johnson v. First Premier Home Warranty Corp.) and have been the subject of state attorney general actions in Ohio, Washington, and others for deceptive practices. The way I was treated was not just poor customer service -- it was creepy, hostile, and unsettling. I am seriously concerned that a company engaging in this type of behavior has access to my personal and financial information. Please think twice before doing business with First Premier Home Warranty. Their conduct is not only unprofessional, but potentially dangerous and exploitative. I urge others to do their research, read the lawsuits, and protect themselves from what appears to be a deeply flawed and possibly fraudulent operation.

    Save yourself complete aggravation, don’t give them a dime, numerous class action lawsuits in the works. That should tell you everything you need to know. I’ll start with an extremely upsetting and unprofessional experience I had with one of your representatives, Todd **. I strongly urge you to investigate this matter, as his behavior was not only inappropriate but also made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected.

    This began with a previous issue regarding a claim for my TV and refrigerator. I was working with an employee named Jeff, who initially told me I wasn’t eligible to file a claim for my TV due to not having the electronics package. However, after reviewing my documents, I confirmed that I do indeed have the electronics package. I emailed this proof to Jeff, and on that same day, someone was sent to assess an issue with my refrigerator’s ice maker. The technician who came was difficult to communicate with and made me feel uneasy. After quickly stating that the ice maker would be replaced, I never heard back.

    I tried to follow up with Jeff multiple times but received no response. When I called again more recently, I was connected to a man who didn’t initially give me his name but was later identified as Todd **. This individual made highly inappropriate comments, speaking negatively about Jeff, calling him “crazy,” and even making inappropriate jokes about the women in the office. He turned to his colleagues and asked them if Jeff used to prohibit them from singing in the office, making a joke that now they “can sing like birds.” I made it clear that this information was irrelevant and unprofessional, and I was concerned about my personal information being handled by someone described as “crazy.”

    When I tried to get clarity, Todd became condescending and disrespectful. After I requested to speak with someone else due to his behavior, he hung up on me. I called back multiple times and was either disconnected or given the runaround. No one could identify who I had previously spoken with. When I eventually spoke to Todd again and recognized his voice and accent, he denied ever speaking with me and accused me of being racist against people from Brooklyn, which is entirely false and deeply offensive. He even began singing during the call, further showcasing bizarre and unprofessional behavior.

    Eventually, I reached another representative named Josh, who tried to tell me I had spoken with someone named Sahir, which I know is not true. I specifically recall Todd’s voice, accent, and statements, including identifying himself as being from Brooklyn. Josh helped me submit a claim for my TV but failed to provide a claim number. I had to call again and speak with Lisa **, who was helpful, provided me with a claim number, and advised me to formally report this experience.

    Todd **'s behavior was highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and frankly, alarming. He made offensive remarks, was condescending, hung up on me multiple times, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe during our interactions. I believe he is a serious liability to your company and possibly even a risk to others in your workplace.

    I am requesting a formal investigation into this matter and a call from a supervisor or manager. I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, and I am deeply disappointed in how this entire situation was handled. I also want to emphasize that this experience has shaken my trust in your company and its ability to handle customer service appropriately. If I could give zero or negative stars I would in a heartbeat.

    Do not waste your money at First Premier. At this point, I am extremely disappointed and feel misled. I am sharing my experience publicly to caution others against using your service. I expected reliability and support, but what I’ve received instead is confusion, inconvenience, and a lack of accountability. The claim was opened since 6/12/25 and the 2 contractors don't want to take the job because they say that First Premier Home Warranty don't pay them.     I think First Premier is the worst company I have ever dealt with. This is what happened to me. I keep getting text that I had not paid my bill. I got several, all saying that I didn't pay my bill. I called to find out what was going on. The text also said that the card I was using had been declined. I went to their site and checked the card. I had entered the correct information for the card I had been using to pay my bill. I call First Premier to find out what was going on. The representative that told me again I did not a valid card.

    After putting me on hold, the representative came back and told me the card I had file was the right one. And I was update with my payments. It should have been updated, I have autopay. The payment on 5/27/25 was taken out of my card and an additional amount of $68 had also been taken. First Premier told me that the $68 was payment for November and December of 2024. I check my statements and indeed the payments had been taken out of my checking account of my checking account. They told me to send proof that they had taken out of my account, I did that.

    I called a few on 6/9/25 to see when the money would be put back in my checking account. They told me the $68 would be refunded to my that it would be refunded to me at the latest Friday the 14th of June. I check to see if I had gotten the money and I had not receive the money. I called and was told the billing department was closed and someone would call me in 24 hours. I'm still waiting for the call. My advice is don't do business First Premier Home Warranty company. There are several lawsuits filed against them in several state. In my opinion they are not a good company to use as your warranty.

    Do not sign with this company. The repair people they assigned were shady at best. Had to pay out of pocket for evaluation then wait for claim to be approved. Our claim was denied and we were left with the full cost of evaluation. Tried to contact company and was out on hold for extremely long wait times some times. Ultimately phone call would just end after waiting 30 minutes. There is no way to cancel the policy online. When we tried to cancel by phone we were told they would get back to us they never did. We called over and over no one ever got back to us. Not sure how to get through to someone to cancel. Ultimately we ended up canceling our credit card.

    Don't do it, this is the worst home warranty business I've ever dealt with. Rude and lies throughout the company. They are not 24/7, they just hang up on you, to actually make a successful claim is so difficult, they are probably hoping you just give up, and then even if you do make a successful claim, they won't give you your money, I've been waiting 2 months now, and they keep telling me to wait. Also the amount they do reimburse is miniscule, and they say that their underwriter determines the amount, which is next to nothing after the deductible.     First Premier Home Warranty does not deliver on their promises while they continue to take customers' money. I filed a claim for plumbing issues. I had to pay the first technician the $75 call fee he was recommended by First Premier but not contracted to work for them. They referred another tech who came, collected another $75 fee and cannot come out to fix anything because First Premier denies receiving quotes from him the three times he sent it. I have cancelled my policy and will referring this case to the Texas Department of Insurance.

This is The WORST by far the customer service is Horrible you call and get out on endless hold just to have the call drop and to start over.     Do NOT purchase this home warranty! They will give you a repair contact, but you will probably have to reach out first. First Premier requires that company comes onsite to give an estimate, then they have to email the estimate to First Premier, then after a few days you will get a response, if you are lucky. More than likely they will find a way to deny your claim or give you only a fraction of the repair cost. Then you have to schedule for the company to come back out to do the work. By this time several weeks have passed. They are a scam of a company.

I have had several warranty issue that required work and they provide a service provider for me to contact.     I went against my better judgement when I subscribed with First Premier. I read negative reviews prior to signing up with this company but after speaking to the car salesman, I mean the home warranty salesman he made it seem convincing and that the reviews came from dissatisfied customers (that should have turned on the dull light bulb in my head). He made his plan seem awesome and that it was what I needed. Well, the very first claim I submitted was denied!!! The tech came, collected the service fee, and then he left.

    I was later told, after I contacted First Premier, that the part would not be covered and that a $90 payment would be sent to me, reminder I just paid the technician $60 to visit my home. It has been over a month and I am still waiting for the $90 check that is in the mail. There are legitimate, and very reliable companies out there, this one is not one of them! Head on a swivel if you decide to even entertain the notion of hiring FP to be your home warranty solution. :(

    I had taken out a policy with them, I called to have my AC unit checked on which was in my contract. They sent a tech to service my unit. I paid my co pay, and then received a bill from the AC company. I explained to AC company, "I am not responsible to pay this bill." This went on for months. I forwarded the bill to First Premier Home Warranty. They never paid it, I sent the AC company the money. Second claim was for my roof, I was covered up to 500.00 in my contract. I sent them the bill. They never even responded. This company is bogus and I would stay far far away from them. They do not have reps in my area and they are based in New York. I read multiple complaints against them on the BBB website.

    It's a big Scam. They did not settle my claim even after 3 months, followed by 5 calls and multiple Emails for issuing a $184 check instead of a repair for $832. After numerous calls, they did not respond, and I did not receive the amount for 3 months. I finally decided to cancel, as I know how this company works. After cancelling the policy, they told me they would return 30% of what I paid. I thought something is better than nothing, as I know this is a scam and I will not be able to get any claims from this company.     Scam! Scam! Scam! I believe this company is the worst home warranty provider in the USA. They were having a promotion and of course I took the bait and it became one of the worst decisions I've made. Please note that any positive reviews you see on them are from those who have not filed a claim. They deserve zero stars but I had to give one in order to post the review.

    Let me walk you through their process: 1. First you must file a claim and this needs to be done with a phone call between the hours of 9:00 to 5pm - no holidays & no weekend so forget an emergency. 2. Once you finally get your claim submitted, good luck with getting a company to come out and repair your item. I had to go through three companies before someone would finally come out to just look at the problem. 3. If the item can be repaired then that's a good thing but wait a minute.... Now you have to wait for 30 days after the repair to make another claim no matter what breaks down.

    4. If your item cannot be repaired they give you a cash in lieu which of course is never enough to cover the new item. Remember those 30 days? Your check will NOT be PROCESSED until 30 days after the repair person sends them a report that the item is unrepairable and you will NEVER EVER speak with the billing department because you have to wait until they call you. (They never call). 5. After the 30 days your check is finally processed but....you have to wait 30 more days to get it in the mail, and if it does not come, then the 30 day process starts again when you request a new check to be sent. Remember, NO new claims while you're waiting. Guess what? It has been 6 months and I'm still waiting for my cash in lieu check and now my home warranty has expired. Of course I did not renew and that is why I'm still waiting. I call every week for an update and I keep getting a runaround.

    I didn't want to give them one star, they deserve 0, but the system would not allow me to not select anything. I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received from this company. This is the third attempt where they attempted to send me the same technician who previously charged me a service fee and did not come back to complete the job afterwards. Despite my requests for a different technician again, they have now blocked me instead of rectifying the situation.

    Furthermore, I was informed that I am responsible for a service fee for another technician, even though the company made the mistake of sending the wrong type of technician. I clearly stated multiple times that I needed an electrician, yet they repeatedly sent an appliance technician.     Updated on 07/25/2025: Please don’t pay attention to the 5-star reviews! This is a scam! I have fought with this company for 4/5 repairs to get payment. No company around here will do work directly with them, which means I must pay upfront and then do a cash in lieu. It’s been 2 months and still no payment. The operators are taught to be deceptive too. If they say they will transfer you to a supervisor or billing department, they will drop your call. You will NEVER be able to talk to a supervisor or the billing department. I’ve been told they have sent the check multiple times by the female operators, but then if I get a male, they will tell me nothing has been sent.

    I’ve been waiting 2 months for payment on my last job. I’ve reported them to the AL Department of Insurance for the second time. Hoping for some kind of resolution. I will not be canceling. This is their hope. They will refund you very little and come out ahead because they won’t have to pay out any more claims. They hardly pay on claims too! Just don’t buy this policy! It is a great price and they are so nice at first. My first claim went so well, but they are doing this for making money. They are greedy, unprofessional, and unethical. I don’t know how they are allowed to be in business. Several states have denied them license to operate. I’m hoping I can help that be the case for AL.

    Original review: My first claim was great. However, this second claim, which was only for $180, has been a terrible experience. I've been lied to multiple times...All operators I've spoken to have said to give them 30 business days to send the check for the cash in lieu and if it's been after 30 business days, they would expedite payment. This, after they took a week to send the cash in lieu form once the work was completed. I signed cash in lieu on Feb.12 and it is now March 25. There is no change on the website on my personal account page. It still just says, "Cash in lieu received". I got an email stating they had sent payment two weeks ago and would need to cancel the check, but when I talked to an operator later that same day, she said no check had been sent out yet. I was told by that same operator that the 30 business days was in my policy.

    I said I never received anything but a 6 pg flier. She said it was emailed to me on April 19, 2023. I was only emailed a welcome letter on that date. She sent me the policy, but there is no information about any 30 business days to wait for payment. Alabama law says payment must be received within 30 days. So, you can see where this is a problem. Not only that, but they will hang up on calls frequently just as they are connecting. This is upsetting when one has had to wait for a while to finally get a hold of a live person. I would never sign up for this service again. It is more headache than it is worth, and they find a way to make a profit out of you. It's better to just cover expenses as they arise I think.

    I paid $699 for a year. They asked me when I called and said since I was military they would give me the best package…which was 6 years for $3,500. They strenuously recommended and even put me on hold to talk to their boss about offering me such a deal…I was special and he could make it happen. I said let’s do a year and see what happens. He said “you need to get it fixed, right?”…just use the company who quoted you and it will be $400 and with the estimate it will be $340….I asked for a supervisor….he said I was talking to him…. I had 6 months on my policy…and ask to cancel and get my money back….He said sure….with cancelation fees I would get $40 back for the year I prepaid.…He was eager to cancel my policy…sort of mocked me.…He was really smug….He said, “I must have a lot of extra time”…”since I had called him 3 times…’

    Stay away from this company, they don't provide service, they only collect the premium.:

    1- I submitted two service requests, and I received nothing.
    2- Customer service is useless, and they always tell you are not covered.
    3- Since customer service can not help you, they will transfer you to someone who supposedly can help you.
    4- Regardless if you want to discuss your policy, or cancel your policy, or another complaint, they will transfer you to one person, Todd.
    5- This Todd, is a big liar, depends on what you need, he will give you a proper lie.
    6- When I finally received a cancellation form, it was just an image file with so many conditions to prevent you from any complaint about the company.

    7- Note that there is no option to create an account online, they kept telling me an account will be created for me at the end of the month.

    I hope they will have an issue with some lawyer that will be able to get them to court.

I called to cancel my plan with them as their customer service is the worst and I was told, 'if you cancel your plan you will not get paid for the claim you have in'. Have you EVER heard of anything so absurd in all your life, DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM!!!!     This is literally the worst warranty company in the world. Sometimes when I call from my primary phone number no one ever answers or it rings for 10 minutes plus. But when I've tested calling from another number at the same time and that number they answer immediately. The staff is unprofessional and when you ask for a manager they never are able to provide anyone. When they call you they call from auto dialers so it shows up as SPAM and you don't answer. They lied and ripped me off out of additional money on a service charge and then when I called to cancel, after telling me I had to email someone in order to do so, they sent an outrageous cancellation charge and when I called told me "I should be thankful I'm getting any money back."

    In addition they took over 2 months to pay me out for my claim and they hired a service rep they didn't want to pay when he arrived, and then when I paid, they refused to reimburse me for the full amount. I encourage everyone to file as many claims with your state licensing boards, the New York attorney general since thats where they are based at and the better business bureau. Do NOT, I repeat Do NOT sign up to use their service.

    This is by far the worst company I have ever been privilege to have to work with. I have had a case with the BBB for almost 10 months while these guys do the run around.     Total scam! Beware! This company is a fraud company. I have a claim from 23rd November, 2024, still did not get the cash offer I signed to accept. Basically, it pays back very little money of the actual repair cost if you are lucky. That also you have to wait months and months. Instead you can shop your repair options or may be purchasing the whole appliance would be better option. This company made me suffer every way.

    So created the claim for refrigerator issue on 23rd Nov 2024. Now the repair man came the one they selected. I was supposed to pay copay of $45 as per VIP program I enrolled on for $2500 paid upfront. But now this company asked me to pay $85 copay. Okay, paid that. Now repair man game an estimate of $488 to fix the refrigerator. Contacted First Premier Home Warranty many times but finally on 9th Dec 2024, they sent me a cash in lieu of claim form which is the only option they gave me that also for $220 which I am still waiting to get in the mid Feb 2025.

    I have contacted First Premier Home Warranty at least eight times for two claims - of which I have not receive payment. Their process to process a claim was poor on my first call. I subsequently called a few weeks later and they told me they needed to send me a form to sign. Well, after giving them copies of the invoice, and later another call informed me they needed a "diagnosis" for a non-functioning garbage disposal, I finally received the paperwork to sign. Weeks have gone by and no check.

    They only allow you to have one claim at a time. I now have two active claims and can't file my third claim because all the reviews are not complete for one of the claims. I had to pay out of pocket to get the work done. Delay after delay. At this point, I don't know if I will ever see any money for the policy that was purchased when I bought a home.

    PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I purchased a 6 year home warranty with First Premier because they gave me a really good deal with all appliances and electronics covered, service fee of $45 each occurrence and with a promise that the service fee would never increase. Well, I had a washer to go out and the repair tech stated that the part was on back order. It has been 4 weeks now. I called First Premier only to find that they are settling a claim for $236.00 and asked me to sign so that they can process the claim. Luckily, I kept my original receipt for the washer. My washer is valued at $750.00, and First premier is trying to under paid this claim. The washer is only 1 yr old and looks brand new.

    The customer service is horrible. The reps will not let you speak to a manager or supervisor to get things resolved. The staff will say that they are the manager, or a manager is not available from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. They will also put you on hold and them drop the calls after 30 min of holding. This is THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. Go somewhere, where you are treated fairly and you are valued as a customer.

    I have been waiting since November 2024 to get my microwave repaired. After 7 calls and no one coming to look or repair they finally offered a cash payment to replace my microwave, that was in December 2024. It is now February 2025 and after 5 more calls still no check. Every time I called they tell me the check is approved but not signed and they will send a message and I should have it by the end of the week. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone who can remedy my problem I'm told they are the supervisor and there is no one above them. Their customer service has to be the worst I have dealt with in a while. The owners of this company may need more customer service training, as there is no way to elevate complaints up the chain.     This company is spam. I claimed before Thanksgiving for the pipe problem, of course, they accepted a claim and sent me a contractor's contact, but that was all they did. My estimated was over $200, I paid $60 for deductible, and they sent me a cash agreement for only $80 that included my deductible, meant they were only paid $20. The problem was until today 2/7/25, I still didn't receive any payment from them. Every time I called, their customer service said that it was processing, then waiting for approval, then the check approved and I will receive my payment on January 14, 2025. But nothing is truth. I'm never and ever recommend this company to no one.

    I bought coverage for my whole things they say are covered. When called for plumbing not covered. They sold me by the fact they have roof coverage. When called about my roof, all of a sudden they don't cover it. I found someone else who does and called to cancel with them and was charged $99 to cancel and they keep charging $78.39 a month when I canceled the service. I would not use these people, they are shady and thieves.

    I purchased this home warranty plan and I am in Florida. I have had them for over 2 years now thinking it may get better. When I purchased the 5 year plan and on more than one property. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied and have requested a refund for the remainder of the policy term. They have been uncooperative in returning my money, and I am going to file with BBB and a small claim against them if needed. Every time I call to make a claim, it takes nearly a week before anyone is dispatched. Once someone is sent, they can never repair at the time for things as simple as a plumbing stoppage or ac problem. They say they need to submit the claim, not by phone call through some system where the tech leaves and you are in waiting for 12 additional weeks to see if a claim will be approved. I have 6 properties and have used a variety of home warranty companies, and this one is the worst. Don't waste your time or your money!

    I thought this was going to be a good experience but turned out terrible. Our pipes froze and burst causing my house to get flooded, so since plumbing was supposed to be covered under my plan I called First Premier Home Warranty right away. They gave me a contact to have a plumber come out to look at it. The pipes were broke in 3 places. Once the FPHW got the estimate they called and said oh the type of plumbing you need is not covered so we will not be covering it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! They get to pick and choose?! Will NEVER get a Warranty through this place again. Not to mention the guy that call was a complete jerk.

    Worst company ever. Salesperson promises they will fix everything, sad truth is they do nothing but process your payment. I had an open ticket for 6 months, and they stalled and lied about fixing their contractual obligation. We had no heat from October until this January. Their own contractor said they never fix anything and just stall. Get this, my original ticket was for the AC unit, but you can't open a second ticket under any circumstances. SAME unit, ticket is still open 6 months later. lie about sending to "the underwriters", have no process for escalation. Save your money and frustration - you will get cheated!!!!

    I signed up with a home warranty, Was told I had 30 days to review it and if not satisfied I could cancel for a full refund. What they don't tell you is that if you cancel in that 30 day period they will charge you a $150 cancelation fee. It's in their warranty policy but you can't see the warranty until after you sign up. Everything is hearsay until you pay and then you are ripped off. Very bad customer service and a total rip off.

    As you can see, I am a broker with Berkshire Hathaway. I have always had home Warranties on both my properties, the one in Seattle and another in Tucson. Over the years I have been with 210 and American Home Shield. I was talked Into giving First Premier a try for both homes. I have had HORRIBLE experiences with this company and will be reporting to the BBB as well.

    I had an issue a couple years ago with the hot water tank as well as the furnace at the Seattle house. They sent a tech that seemed afraid of everything, told me

    I needed a part that was nowhere in the country so he couldn't fix it. I called around and found one an hour away and drove to get it and had someone else fix the issue. Then in November of this year, my hot water tank actually went out, of course it was not covered but before I found that out I had to pay a service fee over the phone to the company that was going to come out, he did not come out so that fee was a joke.

    During the holidays my touch pad on my oven went out, I waited until last week and submitted a claim. The service company reacted quickly which was encouraging, when he got here, he did not speak much English and had only been in the USA for a couple months from Ukraine. We had to use Google Translate on our phones to communicate. He told me I needed a new sensor board, he would order one through First Premier's process and then come out and install it.

    I had not heard back as of this week so I called in to check out where we were in the process. I was told on the phone that the part was not available and I would be getting an email that same day advising me of the amount for replacing the oven would be. To my surprise I later that day did receive an email with a form attached "Cash In Lieu Of Repair Form" with an amount of $75.00. That is a JOKE. I called in and spoke to a supervisor named Steven. He told me that First Premier said it is "scrap" and only worth $75.00 so it would not be fixed and not be replaced. This is First Premier's final decision. I have my contract and nowhere on it does it say anything about your option to scrap my appliances. Again, I have been dealing with other companies for over 10 years and never come up against something like this. I have used 2-10 and American Home Shield and have never had such a bad experience.

    Both of my A/C units went down recently and I live in Florida. I needed an emergency technician to come out. I could not reach First Premier do to excessively long hold times so I had a HVAC company come out right away. Both of the A/C units were dead and were also 20 years old. After the company I called to replace both units (3 ton and 3.5 ton) and the duct work which (are covered in my platinum plan), sent the diagnosis report to First Premier, they are now refusing to cover the full cost. The reason given is my ductwork is not covered (which is not true) and they say they only replace the "freon" in the units. You cannot put new freon into AC units that are not working due to total breakdown. All of this was verified in the full diagnosis report sent to First Premier.

    Another note here, the customer service that I have received from First Premier during this process has been unpleasant. Long hold times, very little response back and the phone representatives are not very friendly. The gentleman I spoke to today, (12/31/24) kept cutting me off during our conversation and raising his voice at times. I requested a callback to speak to a manager regarding this issue and have yet heard from anyone. This specific experience has been terrible and I would not recommend doing business with First Premier to anyone.

    DO not use this company. Total scammers! Contractor totally unreliable, and flat out was a no show for the 4th appointment. Did not repair icemaker, yet only offered $174 cash in lieu of repair. I had my own Appliance Company come out after their contractor disappeared. They quoted $447 for repair. Should have done more research prior to going with this company. To say they are unprofessional would be way too kind. Somebody there needs fines or jail time! Noticed they do not do business in CA. That says a lot.     Beware of Dishonest Companies. I purchased the platinum package from First Premier Home Warranty in the amount of $609.50 for the year starting MAY 22, 2024. I asked if I was able to pay monthly or quarterly and I was told no. I would have to pay for the year in full and that would give the first two months free. On August about the 16th, 2024 I called and spoke with employee by the name Skip; to cancel my subscription, I was told to send an E-Mail requesting to cancelation. After making two attempts I was finally given the right e-mail address. On September the 3rd I spoke with another employee by the name of Tyson, who gave me the right e-mail address. After making several more phone calls, I received an e-mail from the Pro-rated Balance Acceptance on October 2nd, informing me that I am being charged an administrative/service cost fee, in the amount $395.00 and $214.50 will be my credit.

    I spoke with another employee by the name Josh, on November 21rst.. I explained to him how I been getting a runaround and I have not received any credit. He look up my policy number and stated "I will put a request in to have a check mailed out to you." I called again asking to have a copy of the company's cancelation policy and I was told "don't have one right here." I called again as a new customer and asked what the cancelation policy. I was told there would be only a $75.00 cancelation charge. On December 3rd, I called and spoke with employee the name of Lisa, I asked to get a name of the supervisor. Lisa gave me the name of Todd **. I asked to speak with a supervisor. When she put the call through the employee refused and got very rude with me. Any help you can gave would be appreciated.     Total scam. Agent convinced me to purchase 3 years, telling me that had the option to file claims online and that if I was unsatisfied for any reason, I would be able to cancel and be refunded at a prorated rate, with NO penalties. Their "online claims" is literally just a contact us form, and they refused to replace something broken without 3 years of service records (I've only lived in my house for 2, and was never informed of this requirement prior to making a claim). I looked into canceling, and was told I would have to pay penalties along with proration, amounting to nearly the entire fee I paid. They will lie and tell you anything to get your money.     My 2 year old over the range microwave died. My husband contacted Premier and they sent someone from Bgh Electronics to look at it. Bgh determined the motherboard was fried and it couldn't be fixed. The cost to replace it is $479 plus installation. After paying $60 for someone to come out they want to give us $50 to replace it. My husband called and requested to speak with a manager since they were telling him Bgh determined the $50 replacement cost. Premier put him on hold for over half an hour, and after they realized he wasn't hanging up they hung up the call. What a scam.

    My frig broke in early July. Company did not respond until late July by contracting with a company from Mobile Al to do repair. No one was manning the phones the day of repair so I had to pay for repair in cash and file for reimbursement. First Premier refuses to pay finally offering me less than half in payment and have since refused to disburse the funds, My contract was from April 24 thru Jun 25 and when I asked for cancelation in Oct 24 that said they didn't owe me any pro rated refund as their website promotes.     I was contacted multiple times by First Premier Home Warranty before deciding to give them my business, paying $39/month for a home warranty that covers appliances and more. However, my experience with their service has been nothing short of frustrating. The real test came when my over-the-range microwave broke. After calling First Premier three times, I was finally given the contact information for a technician — only to find that the number was disconnected. The second technician came, didn’t even try to troubleshoot properly, and simply agreed with my diagnosis, charging me a $75 fee without doing any real work.

    The technician submitted his report, but I heard nothing for a week. After I followed up, they told me it was "under review," and it wasn’t until three more days passed that I was informed my claim was approved. I was promised an email with reimbursement details, but 11 days later, nothing came. Only when I requested to cancel my policy did they send the email, saying I’d be reimbursed $50 — after I spent $117 over three months, plus $75 for a technician who did nothing. Now, they’ve told me there’s a $75 cancellation fee, meaning I can’t even cancel without paying more. This service only benefits you if you never actually have to use it, and I’m thoroughly disappointed with their lack of professionalism and transparency. Would not recommend to anyone looking for reliable service.

    This First Premier Home warranty have horrible customer service and care less about customer. I’ve had a claim with them it took more than 4 weeks in a hot summer time when my air conditioner went bad due to normal wear and tear and still we have not resolved the matter until now. Now I have a furnace problem they don’t even pick up the phone and me and my family, small kids are freezing and these guys don’t even care. “THEY ARE A SCAM IN A NUTSHELL”

    I will NEVER use them again!!! I was alerted by my utility company that I had a leak. I found the leak and filed a claim. They emailed me the name of the plumbing company that's supposed to take care of the leak. However, the plumbing company complained to me that they've told my warranty company multiple times that they won't do business with them!! First Premier company has had me on hold over 30 minutes and won't respond to my email either!!! I've paid every month on time and don't receive help in a timely manner!

    Every aspect of their service is terrible. The reps constantly lie; the information they give and even what they say is required by the policy changes depending on what they feel is favorable to them. They don't respond to requests without multiple calls/emails and they reimburse their service providers so poorly that it is hard to get anyone to agree to come out to address a problem. The only time I could get anyone to help me with any problems was by threatening to cancel my policy.

    Once I was beyond trying to work with them and told them I wanted to cancel regardless of any solutions they proposed, they refused to allow me to cancel despite an easy cancelations being one of their key selling points. If it weren't for my credit card company finding in my favor when I opened a dispute, I never would've received any money back. The attention my complaints brought to the matter alerted insurance regulators to the fact that First Premier Home Warranty has been illegally operating without a license in my state. Several states across the nation are already suing First Premier Home Warranty for fraudulent practices and now my state is joining in.

    Do not use this company for any reason. If it's already too late for you, do not let them bully you into accepting a refusal to cancel or a pittance of a refund. You have a right to file complaints with your state agencies: attorney general, division of insurance, consumer protection. You can also file a dispute through your credit card company.

    I had a terrible experience with First Premier Home Warranty. I signed up under the impression, promised by their sales rep, that they would handle canceling my previous policy with HSA Home Warranty. Instead, they did nothing, and I was charged twice by HSA, totaling $130.30. Now, on top of that, they want to charge me a $75 cancellation fee—when they’re the reason I’m in this mess to begin with! Completely unprofessional and misleading. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable service.

    This company is a scam. They will not pay for your service. They will play games on the phone, hanging up multiple times. They have you pay a deductible for a company to come out. Then they make you pay the company for whatever is needed. They claim they will reimburse you which is bullcrap. You will never receive a dime. I'm trying to cancel service and they are giving the runaround. They gave me an email and it says blocked when I sent a cancelation request. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, FIRST PREMIER HOME WARRANTY IS A SCAM.

    Buyer BEWARE - BEWARE – BEWARE! They are scammers! DO NOT use this company. You are setting yourself up for failure. My HVAC stopped working and I called and put in a claim. They emailed me, and it said for me to set an appointment with some HVAC company. I called that company, and the owner of that company said that he would never work for this home warranty company because they do not pay. I called again and they emailed another company. So I called them, and that number would not go through. I called them again and they told me to call a local HVAC company, and they would pay for it. I had a company come and check it out, and they said that the blower motor was not working from the unit inside the house. I had the HVAC company order the motor and paid for it.

    I emailed and called them about the paid invoice for the motor and their response was “we are going to review the info” and “we will get back to you in 24-48 hours” which never happens. You have to call them to find out what happened. Now First Premier Home Warranty is telling me that they will not pay for it. Their excuse is that they want 3 years of maintenance records.

    If the ability to rate no star was available. We entered into contract with this company May 20th of 2024. They had a cease and desist order in the state I live in that they were not legally allowed to sell contracts. Our State AG is useless in this regards. We filed a claim, and they stated "smell" is not covered. If we can't rely on our senses to know something is wrong how can this claim be denied. We never received a contract or any piece of paper, as this was all done during closing. I have screamed several times for a booklet for what's covered and not covered, and to this day (October 2024) I have yet to receive this elusive piece of material. Request and messages go unanswered. And I'm pretty sure more than 75% of their "5 star" reviews are people who work for this company.

    First Premier is a scam, they take your money and when you have a claim it takes 20 phone calls to get a answer to your claim, we have been with them almost 2 years. Never had a claim. The air conditioner went out. I put in a claim. They assigned me a tech 2 hours away. Ended up calling a local hvac company. They came out and found the motor had burned out on furnace and the main board was bad. After 3 weeks back and forth getting them to cover or give answer to replace. They came back and said they want 3 years of maintenance records or they can not ok the repair. I have canceled the policy and got a attorney out of new york to look into this matter. Do not use them. I'm sure they deny more than they approve. That is just my thought. Have no proof or am accusing them of that. What a horrible company to work with. Sit on hold 15 min then it hangs up on you.

    I purchased the First Premier warranty along with my sister thinking it was legit. After the storm Helena my air and heater went out. I have had the policy for about 4 months, they sent my policy agreement to the wrong emails as he was telling me how and what the policy states and I informed him that they send it to the wrong email. He telling me that it states in the policy that I have to show upkeep for the past 36 months, how can you show that if you haven't been in that home that long, PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS WARRANTY. I am giving you heads up and I am fine to report them to BBB as they want me to pay the $75 cancelation fee where I have paid them up for the year 2024 thru March 2025.

    I was promised that my home inspection would suffice to show that thing were working properly. After entering the home and something was amiss I called for service check, made a claim and was flat out denied. After they assured me all I need was the home inspection report. They request 36 months of service documents. Which I wasn’t told until after they took my money and denied my claim. Do not use this company.     In April 2024 I signed up for the Platinum warranty with agent Tony **. First Premier Home Warranty. Toll Free: (800)388-1918. Direct: **. In June my dishwasher went out. I filed a claim, paid the $75 and it was fixed. The claim was not closed out but First Premier. In September the dishwasher went out again. I went to file a claim and the First Premier agent said the dishwasher claim was still open so just call the same repair company. I did that. They charged another $75, inspected the dishwasher, said it was dead and would contact First Premier for a replacement. First Premier is now saying they will offer me $75 for scrap but won't replace the dishwasher. Adding to that, the current agent I spoke with said he would escalate it to his manager and has let me on hold for 30 minutes. I expect a call back. **

    They are the WORST. They will do anything to not pay or cover what they should. Out of 3 claims submitted, they denied 2. 1st one was not a fixture but the wiring they claimed was a short. The 2nd one was a dishwasher they claimed was poor maintenance. They sent their own service contractor Allstar Appliance & Repair, which claimed it was a roach infestation, when the unit was a sealed unit and I was there when he opened it. This was totally a LIE. He refused to send me his assessment copy after repeated calls and text. He would never answer his phone. First Premier refused to send me a copy of the assessment from what they received. They said, "Get it from Allstar Appliance." Allstar only accepted cash for the service claim. He never provided a receipt when he said would email me one. That should have raised a red flag.

    F rating with BBB, being sued by multiple states, they are a scam and doing business with them is a bad idea. Stay far away. Long hold times, rude and unhelpful customer service. And getting claims approved and handled correctly is impossible. You as the homeowner have to call multiple times to get any progress on claims. And typically the response is “we need more info” or “we will get back to you in 24-48 hours” which never happens. Or they just blame the service tech. Zero proactive communication, they just hope you forget about the claim or give up. Or they just hang up on you and not document your call.

    This company is a scam. They talk to their customers so rudely and take forever to pay claims. They do not pay the full claim amount they promised. They tried to charge me 75 to cancel but never was that mentioned when setting up the policy. I also see now that their reviews are so bad. So many other customers are experiencing the same thing. They shorted me $60 on my claim stating that I never provided a receipt that my deductible was paid.     I purchased a three-year warranty. Mistake. Couple months later my over stove microwave quit. Tech came out. Said had to be replaced. After phone calls - over a week later, finally emailed form to sign. Then waited over 40+ days, when promised I would get money in 30 days. Called to talk to supervisor. Was told, "You knew about microwave then you bought warranty. Just go out and buy a microwave." I wanted the contract with them to end. Cancel. Keep money for microwave. "That IS not going to happen.     When we first signed up for First Premier Home Warranty in February of 2023, we were very pleased. The first time we made a service call about our stovetop, they came out and fixed it in a timely manner. We have not needed their services until now, as we were having an issue with our spa. In June 2024, we contacted First Premier to get service scheduled for our spa. We were told that there were no service contractors in our area to make the repairs. They told us if we wanted to order our own parts and repair the spa ourselves, they would reimburse a certain percentage back to us…totaling $250.00. We contacted our spa company and we were able to order the parts. My husband after researching how to repair the broken part, was able to fix the spa. In June 2024, we advised First Premier that we did, in fact, fix the spa ourselves and were told they would mail us a check for the $250.00.

    Weeks turned into months with no reimbursement. Upon trying to contact the Department that handles the refund, all you would get was a recording to leave a message and told someone would return your call. To this date, that never happened! If by chance, you did get a live body on the line, we started using the "new" customer service prompt, they would tell you it can take weeks for a refund! On August 17, 2024, while doing my banking on-line, I saw three deposits from First Premier to our account totaling $175.00, not the $250.00 as promised!

    Today, August 28, 2024, we were finally able to reach someone to see why we did not receive a full refund. The gentleman that answered was named Todd, by far the rudest person we have ever spoken to. We asked for a Manager, and we were told that he is the Manager! We asked why we were not given the full amount, as promised, and we were told that we had to pay the $75.00 deductible! We explained that we did all the work! Every bit of it! From ordering the part to replacing the part, so why are we being penalized the $75.00 deductible! First Premier did nothing for us! How this whole situation was handled this time, was horrible! They went from being an “A” company to “F”! We cancelled our contract with them starting immediately! The hassle and the way we were spoken to was completely unacceptable! The gentleman we spoke with, Todd, should be fired instantly! Not sure what has happened with First Premier, but be warned, it is not like it seems on their commercials!

    I purchased a 3 year policy for $1,170 on my home on Friday, Aug 23rd, after being told it came with a free 30 day money back guarantee. I called them back the same day and told them I changed my mind and I wanted to cancel it. After being given the run around for several days I finally receive an email from them on Aug 27th. The email is a cancelation letter/acceptance form trying to get me to agree to pay $175 pro-rated balance. I called the same day and everyday after excluding Sunday to make sure it was canceled. On top of that how could a 3 year plan be pro-rated to $175 when it hasn't even been 5 days??? You can't be serious....Keep in mind the service doesn't even start until after your first 30 days supposedly. This company is definitely trying to rip people off so heed my warning and please don't waste your time. I will be contacting my lawyer tomorrow to see what steps I need to take to be reimbursed all of my money..

    So I paid for 6 years of coverage in 2022. I had a dishwasher problem and submitted a claim...Never got a call from the assigned plumber and he wouldn't return my messages. I ended up having to call a friend and fixed it myself. This year I had water shooting out of a pipe in the wall in my main bathroom. I turned the water off in the bathroom and called it in. When I was finally able to get someone on the phone (which was a long ordeal) they gave me the name of the assigned plumber. He did not contact me but when I called, he said he was busy until the following week.

    When I tried to contact him the next week (via email and phone) I got no response. I later resubmitted the claim and this time and they assigned a different plumber. No one contacted me and I could get no response from the new assigned plumber. I have now contacted Premier for the third time on this issue and (after more incredibly long hold time on the phone) the representative says he doesn't think they cover that.

    Bottom line: Don't fall for their extended plan promises. So far I have filed a request for service four times with absolutely no service. If you email they just tell you to call the phone line but be prepared for dropped calls and super long wait times if the call actually does go through. Over $2,000 spent on coverage for zero coverage. They get one star only because zero doesn't get accepted in a review. Find a different company. I'm going to have my attorney send a letter to get a complete refund.

    I inquired about your coverage as I was shopping for best plan for my needs. When you emailed me your covered items I told you I did not want your plan as I needed swimming pool equipment coverage. I found out that you had already charged me $36. I requested that be returned. I found insurance with another company that provided service I needed. You then told me you don’t return that charge and you also charge $75 cancellation fee. You never advised me of that on either charge. If you do not return the $36 I am reported you to the Insurance Agency overseeing your activity.

    I have had several Home Warranty Companies and this BY FAR THE WORST! Todd, the so called manager, lies to your face and then states he never had a conversation with me. Yes I cursed him out for being a lying, cheat. They failed to send me a policy until 9 months after I signed the contract. The worthless 4 page document they did provide that stated EVERYTHING is covered was a bold face lie.

    When I tried to reach the owner, Vince Walker, I was told he didn't take phone calls from customers. I asked for an email address and was told none existed. I have tried to get reimbursed for covered work on a home policy and was told that a claim was never filed, so no reimbursement. I tried to cancel another home policy and was told there were no funds left to reimburse even though I was only paid $500 on a $3000 policy. SAVE YOUR MONEY and find another reliable Home Warranty Company. Amazon was much better even though the policy was higher.

    I Checked out the trial period, For the home warranty. And After 29 days I canceled it. After 3 months I looked at my bank statements and realized I was still being charged and they never canceled it. So I called to talk to them about It. And they refuse to, And said if I have a claim put it in because then it would be the only way I get anything done, and they're not canceling it. And besides there's $75 cancelation fee. And so I put it in a claim, for my air conditioner, as in the house as there was no air coming into the house. So now, the person they sent out,, said It was the ducts. And I was refused any repairs. They said the parts were not covered. But I have the copy of my warranty, and the extra that I had paid extra for, And it's it says it is covered But they tell me it wasn't. So they totally lied. It's just not to have to pay the money out. So they told me I could not cancel when I called them back And I had to pay $75 charge too even begin trying to cancel it.

    So I called my bank and had it canceled. This is 1 of the worst companies I've ever had. And a few of my neighbors say the same thing. Beware if It seems too good to be true, And it most likely is. Now Chase home warranty I had them years ago, and A lot of people I know had them. And they're very good. They fix what they can, and if they can't they purchase them new for you, they live up to their contracts.

    We bought a First Premier Platinum Plan about 1.5 years ago, and have called them 3 times for services. Last fall we our dishwasher broke and had to be replaced, and they paid a few hundred dollars towards the cost. A few months ago our AC went out, and we had to call them many times to get a technician to come out. We finally had to find our own AC technician to come out since they could not get us service within 5 days.

    We recently had a home inspection which found dangerous carbon monoxide leakage from our furnace heat exchanger. First Premier sent a HVAC tech who confirmed the leak over two weeks ago, but First Premier will not share the report or their claim coverage with us after many phone calls and emails. We are so frustrated trying to get this company to communicate with us.     I am extremely disappointed with First Premier Home Insurance. My experience with their service has been nothing short of frustrating. Firstly, I had an issue with my refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser. The technician who was sent out charged me out of pocket but did not fix the problem. He promised to report back to the company and return, but after waiting for several weeks and making numerous follow-up calls, I was informed that the issue was not covered by my policy. This was surprising because it should have been covered.

    The situation worsened with a second issue involving a toilet leak. The technician who came to assess the problem quoted $300 for the repair and said he would check with the company regarding coverage. Unfortunately, he never followed up or contacted me again. Despite my repeated attempts to reach out via phone and email, I received no response from First Premier Home Insurance. Based on my experience, I find the service to be unresponsive and unreliable. I would strongly advise against purchasing insurance from this company. It has been a complete waste of time and money.

    The company called a plethora of times to earn my business including holidays (). But limited to no followup afterwards. I filed a complaint and received very similar messages about their cs. I put everything in the email... It is a package. So the company is picking out one item to avoid their error. They never sent proof, in over 2 months, nor had the senior person reach out. They did not provide proof of findings nor refund my money.

    The answering desk for claims is ridiculously ill equipped--it is clear they are not based in the USA. We're unable to achieve any progress on a claim we're trying to file on a failed hot water heater. Our contract says the company will not pay for the hot water heater tank but will pay $ 500 for "access, diagnosis, repair and/or replacement" (i.e. labor). We sourced, bought and hauled in the tank ourselves. We tried to submit the labor invoice for reimbursement (it is under $500) but they are giving us the run-around. Whoever we get on the phone says they'll get back to us and then nothing happens. One guy even gave us a wrong phone number to call him back for follow up. We're not dealing with honest people.

    June 7, 2024: We purchased a premier plan, 4 months after purchase our AC system stopped working. We called in for service. Three days later we got a email referring us to a technician. He did come out the same day and saild we needed a. New capacitor and fan and that he would turn the info into the office. We waited two days and heard nothing. I called the technician and he said he turned the repair request in for approval. I called First Premier and they said they did not have it. I called him back and suddenly it was sent in. They also requested more information for the repair.

    The tech got approval and said he would be out after 5 PM. It is now 6:40 and no word from him. We called him (Jack of All Trades) multiple times and he did not answer the phone. We called First Premier and they said they could open a new ticket and 48 hours later someone would contact us. This is horrible service compared to the home warranty I had before moving to Virginia a couple of months ago. I bought a premier plan and paid for 4 years in advance. There is no one to go to, to get this straightened out. We are extremely unhappy!

Initially, the sales representative was pleasant and persuasive, using all the typical sales tactics to get me to sign up. However, once I needed to make a claim, it became nearly impossible to get a hold of them. When I finally did, they asked me to email them, and the process dragged on forever. I had a central air issue at my property in Arizona, and despite numerous attempts, I could not get it fixed through First Premier. Frustrated, I decided to cancel both of my policies. The cancellation process was just as painful, taking several months of back-and-forth communication. When I finally managed to cancel, I was only refunded $50 for the combined 10-year policy I had purchased.

    This company operates with unethical business practices from start to finish. From misleading sales tactics to abysmal claims handling and terrible customer service, every interaction was disappointing. Even reaching out to their corporate executives yielded no satisfactory results. They responded with slow claims processing, rude customer service, and unintelligent responses, ultimately breaching their fiduciary responsibilities to their customers. I would never recommend First Premier Home Warranty to anyone and will avoid any future engagement with them. I have given them ample opportunity to correct their wrongs, but they failed to do so. I will be filing complaints with all relevant agencies to expose their business practices. Avoid this company at all costs.

    It started on 5/13/24. I called in a service claim on our Samsung dryer wasn't working, no heat at all. The guy I talk to never gave me his name however he got me a claim #. Once I got the email from them I called the guy who was to fix our dryer. Of course he never showed up all 3 days he said he would. This is not the first time this has happened to us. So I called First Premier back on 5/17. Explained to them what happened, I asked the lady if I could get my own tech. She said I would have to wait till Monday however I called back on the 18th and they said I could chose my own tech. So I call Sears Home Service. They came on 5/20, gave me an estimate of 698.88, however we had to pay sears Home Service their service fee of 128.00 dollars.

    So I called first premier back. They told me I would have to wait 24 hours to get this approved. So I called late Tue afternoon. First premier however only offered us 205.00 dollars to replace our dryer which was the first time our dryer ever broke down in 14 years we've had it. It cost us 622.87 to replace it which is very unfair. Now I have to try and get reimbursed for 128.00 that we paid Sears Home Service. So buyer beware using first premier home warranty for your home.
