Have used this cookware for many years. From the first time I purchase my set in the early 2000s and as to this day I am still using them and they have not proved me wrong. The cookware last longer than I expect it to, I always buy Farberware as a gift for family and friends. Very satisfied with my set.

Don't usually need oil. They need to find a cleaner for the outside, no matter what you use- it takes off the paint or whatever the colored part of it is. Price was very good with my Kohls coupons but the company didn't make good on the $10 rebate they promised me.

We used to swear by Farberware, until about 1999, when we noticed anything stainless, was getting stains all over them, and then they began to actually break, though prior to that time, we never had a thing rust or break, I am sure they are being made in foreign country now, where they are using substandard materials to manufacture them. I would stay away from this brand, because it manufactures inferior products now.

I bought a Farberware stockpot four months ago. I used it every night for approximately three hours each night, with 20 minutes of "high" stovetop heat and then the remainder of the time on "low." I washed it every morning. One evening, inexplicably, the handle to the lid popper right off. The metal holding together the plastic handle and the glass lid appeared to have just corroded away. The inexpensive price attracted me to the piece in the first place but caveat emptor.

We bought a set of copper lined, stainless pots and pans from Farberware. We were very impressed with the glass lids and the weight of the pans themselves. Often people try to cook in stainless steel on high temperatures. This causes the foods to stick to the pan and sometimes burn. If used correctly, these pans work very well. They clean easily, heat very evenly and come up to temperatures quickly. I would buy the company's pans when these are used up, but from the look of things, it won't be for quite a while. Good quality, good price!

I asked if she could unpack and wash them. She laughed and said "do you want me to cook in them too?" I said, "Yes, because they really are for you!" She was so thrilled. Well, she passed away in 1985 and my dad gave me those pots. I still use them today. They are great pots and have many memories attached to them. I have purchased a good bit of cookware over my years (57 y/o) and I just hate cheap pots and pans. Before I retired at 43 I traveled a lot, in fact too much but I always seemed to have to give my wares away but I always purchased “good stuff”. Farberware failed me terribly, it’s for the most part made from low grade aluminum and formed in what’s called a punch press giving it its particular shapes. Drop one and you have a pot or pan now out of round and will not set level on the stove. The nonstick Teflon coating is just as bad, I found that after about ten or twelve hand or dish washings the coating begins to peel away now making it perfect for the trash, I don’t know about you but I’m not eating Teflon or anything else not naturally produced or grown for the human body. I typically spend about $500. For a good set but this time was a quick move and I per se, paid for it by spending down. I’ve since trashed them.

She thought the Farberware utensils looked most durable for our new T-Fal cooking pans. Well, after a few times using the Farberware TURNER, I began to notice the beveled edge of the TURNER was deforming (melting). Leery that the melted portion may become ingrained in the food, I stopped using it. That's all I need is for some foreign material entering my wife's body with her immune system already compromised.

I purchased this Farberware Professional can opener specifically because it looked sturdy, was relatively inexpensive and had a "lifetime limited warranty". Initially it worked well but after about 8 months it became difficult to open and close. It has never been put in the dishwasher and is washed and dried after each use. Then, a few months after that it started slipping a little when being cranked around the rim of the can but with some coaxing it would still open a can. The slipping got worse and then the cogs that drive the cutting wheel and the gripping wheel got jammed.

So, I called Lifetime Brands, Inc. at (800) 999-2811 and was told I would have to return the can opener to the warehouse in New Jersey (I pay for the return postage) and they would send a replacement in 4 to 6 weeks. First, that is a long time to be without a can opener. Second, the shipping costs almost as much as the can opener. I offered to take photos showing the damage but the rep rudely cut me off and told me my only option was to return the defective can opener. DON'T BUY FARBERWARE PRODUCTS! Their warranty stinks.

I told her I wasn't yelling and would be happy to show her yelling if she would prefer, at which time she told me she was ending the conversation. Even if I was yelling this is completely unacceptable customer service. While the customer may not always be right, we always pay her salary. So, my new microwave broke after about 5 weeks. Called Farberware. Actually, they use a call agency so it is not part of Farberware. These breaking must be common because all they asked me for was proof of purchased and said they would send a new one out - "Just dispose of the old one please". No questions asked. It would take "3-4 weeks". Now, this is a problem, who can go 3-4 weeks without a microwave with kids? Nevertheless, I emailed in my receipt to the "supervisor" on 11.19.2017. I have still never received a response from that email (today is 1.9.18). I have called back 3-4 times and they keep telling me. It is coming and they will email me a tracking number.

I actually called on 12.26.17 and they literally put me on hold for 10 minutes while they allegedly "contact(ed) the warehouse". I was then told they were sitting in the warehouse as we spoke, they were just waiting on FedEx. Now... 2 weeks later, I guess FedEx never came, lol. The customer service is SO bad I have to laugh. I talked to someone today who told me she would have her supervisor call me. I heard that one on 11.22.17 and on 12.26.17. No calls. I told her not to bother. NEVER ever, ever will I purchased anything from this company again. It was junk and broke in 5 weeks and why bother will the runaround "warranty". I had to go out and buy a new microwave in the end anyway. Maybe I will eventually get a replacement and I can sell it to a sucker on Craigs. Wait, I am not that mean.

And yes, I did in fact check the cord before plugging it in as I always do, and there were no signs of fraying or that anything was wrong. Thank god my man got input from tech at work and told him what to try. Thank god it worked. I was so mad he got me the pot and pan set because mine were all old and bad to find out my old worn out junk was better than the new. Got a hold of Farberware, all they are doing is giving me new pans that are the same. All I wanted was the money we paid for them and for them to tell me how to fix my stove or fix it. They said, "Sorry you boiled the pan dry or cooked it dry." So I asked, "You're telling me I can't preheat with these pans on my glass top?" They never answered me on that question.

All I know is as for now I'm cooking without preheating and on a lower setting until I can go buy a new set that will not be Farberware or any brand they make. They make also Paula Deen and Rachael Ray. If you own a glass top don't buy these cheap junk. They will fuse to your glass top burners. No warning on the box. Just says in their papers that come with them that says if cooked dry can fuse to your stove top. Is that ok? Right, if you let it there for a longer than normal use. No not. All I did was to heat the pan for like 2 mins. How else do you make a good steak but by preheating the pan and it messed up my glass top. All I know is they are the worst junk I have ever in my life seen and their lifetime warranty is also so garbage. It says with normal wear and use what I was doing was normal to all us people but to them it was not normal to preheat. It was a waste of my time to even try and get them to fix the problem.

I know my grinder is not sold anymore but I called the company and got a runaround. I thought they would want to know how dangerous the blade is since the blade broke, pieces of it in the coffee grinds or spices if that was what I was doing when this happened. It is not big pieces, it was via sound that made me look to see why it "whirred" different. I could have or someone swallowed sharp pieces of metal. I called over five times between two numbers since one said "Not us you need to speak to" and other number same comment. I am surprised at their lack of concern, no one, not even supervisor cared. I explained Cuisinart replaced their blade no matter how old the item (they replaced mine).

I did not want a replacement/discounted one since I went out and bought a different brand since Farberware was inconsiderate of me as a customer, I felt they just wanted money, doesn't matter if someone could get hurt. That was all they would offer or do, discount on new one. What I explained to the Supervisor was my concern. There was no one to speak to or a way to get my situation to the right party/department, that this is a very dangerous matter, someone could ingest broken pieces of the blade. So bottom line, Farberware does not care about a defective product of theirs. And as I read other people's comments on other products, it isn't just my product but many other types of items too. Sad way to run a business and not fair to us consumers who spend money on shoddy products, it is like no one cares anymore, sad...

But... I didn't have fresh batteries at first, so I attributed its lousy performance on that. Then I got fresh batteries and it was STILL a piece of junk. It had to go around a can MULTIPLE TIMES just to get it open. At least once, my mother just ended up using our old manual can opener, had spun around the top with seemingly no effect. I started to dread canned food. Tonight I needed another can opened. *sigh* I got the stupid thing out again and let spin around a few times, hoping for the best. The first time I noticed the slivers of metal was when I picked it up to see if JUST MAYBE it had managed to do its job. Felt one jabbing into my finger. Then I looked around on the counter and saw a whole bunch of metal slivers lying on the counter.

I looked at the opener, and sure enough, there were slivers stuck to the magnet and the alleged cutting part of it. Well, now I can't use the food in the can, because A#1) THE CAN REMAINED UNOPENED, and B#2) how am supposed to know whether or not if ever actually got the can open, it would be free of metal slivers? These are about the diameter of a coarse hair! My mother and I very well may have already unwittingly ingested slivers of metal the times we actually got it to work. I will attach pics of the metal slivers below. NOT JUST A PIECE OF CRAP; ALSO A DANGEROUS PRODUCT! I mean, what if a mother used one of those things to open a can of whatever for her child? My office is very chilly and because of this, many of my coworkers have personal space heaters in their individual rooms. I purchased this fan heater last night so that I could warm up my own room. I took it out of the box, brand new, and plugged it into the wall far away from anything that could possibly be hazardous. At first the fan wouldn't run but it seemed to be warming up a little. So I figured maybe since it was brand new, it needed to warm up first or something. I set it down on the ground safely and turned my back to it to start up my laptop. It smelled a little warm but it was brand new so I figured that was normal and would wear off soon. I turned back around and THERE WERE FLAMES COMING OUT OF THE CENTER OF THE HEATER. FLAMES. IN MY OFFICE.

Luckily I'm not one to panic so I blew it out quickly and unplugged it, opened the window, let the smoky air out of the room before the alarms were set off. But what if I had left it to "warm up" and went to use the restroom? This piece of trash would have actually started a real fire in the office. People could have been hurt all because Farberware wants to sell a horrible piece of garbage. Completely irresponsible, Farberware. You should be utterly ashamed of your company and your product.

It's because his experience has been with "Made in the U.S.A." Farberware, whereas the other folks have been experiencing "Made in China" Farberware.

I heard from them, naturally I am disappointed in quality of the knob and the response I received from the noted company. By the way, I live in Canada, however the percolators were purchased at target store in Hazel Park, Michigan.

Again and again as stated by many others. Unfortunately this is a small purchase and like many other small purchases we don't look into the products. We just assumed the name brand at a higher price must be of good quality. Unfortunately with Farberware this isn't the case. The teeth in the gears have gone after only 4 cans. I really expected to have a good quality product that would last for years. Oh well never again. Goodbye Farberware you've not only lost a longtime customer but I will also be alerting many people to stay away.

I too was very excited about the set of red Faberware knives I received as a gift. The red was really beautiful. I used one knife, hand washed and dried it and noticed rust spots. I was very upset. I have other knives that I paid much less for and used for years without any problem and paying more and getting less does not work for me. I was shocked and offended. I trust the name of this product and what I got was a slap. Now, after reading some of the other reviews I am almost afraid to use the bigger knives since they have a possibility of splitting in mid chop. I did not ask for these knives so I could just have something red to set on my counter. I want useful tools.

Today is 2/27/2014. I was slicing and chopping a medium size white onion with my farberware chef knife, the smaller one. I was doing it the same way I have been doing onions for the past 40 years, slow, gentle, to slice, and mild to moderate pressure when I did the chopping of my onion. While chopping, the handle of the knife gave way, in my hand! As if it had suddenly bent, and I could not believe it. I was fortunate that I did not get wounded! I will recommend to everyone I know NOT to purchase that cheap set of Farberware knives, and make sure if you do buy their knives: purchase the knives where the blade metal goes through the entire body of the knife and is riveted in the handle! Scared the Heavens out of me.

I was annoyed by the first one, the second one, and really annoyed by the third one. The can opener looks sturdy but only works a few times. I looked at the return policy, and there is a "lifetime warranty" and realized I needed to pay for the return. I understand it is just as expensive to return your item as it is to buy a new one. I will be returning your last can opener to the store and making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general. I will also be blogging online about your company as well as letting everyone on Facebook know.

I was sitting next to my friend who was cutting the meat and all of a sudden, the handle separated from the blade, leaving the blade to go flying through the air! This knife did not break! It was as though there was nothing holding the handle and the blade together. The blade landed in my lap and put a minor cut on my leg which I attended to. The saucepan size that we use the most frequently has almost no gray paint left on the handle and looks better now that it is almost completely black. I'm tempted to scrape the paint off the other handles because they look terrible! It's a shame because the quality of the saucepan is great. They are durable.
