I bought 4 gallery products in June 2019 (Fridge, Cooker, Dishwasher, and Microwave oven), so it's just about 3 months. The dishwasher came up with an "ER" error code at the end of August 2019 and I called Electrolux and they sent in a Tech who came and reset a board. Just about 2 weeks after the first incidence same happened again and it is over two weeks now since I complained and am unable to use to product I bought. The Agent I spoke with two weeks ago said they'd order a new board to replace the faulty one and yesterday when I called for a follow-up he said it might take months (up to 6 months)!!!! I will seek some legal protection if I need to because I feel really being taken advantage of here; even with my extended warranty. Customer service is horrible. Tunde

I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. This is past the point of any repair. I have proof of this refrigerator is a lemon since the beginning but after spending thousands on the refrigerator and in repairs. This should be deemed a lemon.

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to "high" with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.
I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electrolux's website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.
I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldn't you be? I am contacting the AG's office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

There was an issue with the ice maker... it wouldn't make ice. It was finally fixed after 3 years. The water from the refrigerator also is not cold. This is a design problem. The price of this refrigerator ($4000) should not have any problems.

We purchased a new home from a builder and moved in January of 2015. The home had new stainless steel Electrolux kitchen appliances, including the 30" built-in microwave (EW30SO60QSA). The appliances came with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Later that year we noticed the handle on the door was becoming unstable & loose. I called the 800 warranty number & a local repair technician came to repair the handle. After an hour or more of trying to find a way to access the handle screws he gave up and just ordered a new door. In a few days the new door was delivered & he installed it. I don't have exact dates because it was done under warranty & I didn't get a bill.
Now the 2nd door has the same problem & can't be repaired. I paid a technician who tried to repair the handle & he couldn't. He said the only option is to pay $460 plus shipping & installation for a new door. I called the Electrolux customer service number to see if they could make some sort of allowance for the what seems to a product design defect. I was told by a supervisor that they don't acknowledge the problem & I should have bought the extended warranty for the microwave. So,I don't recommend Electrolux or their appliances.

Bought an Electrolux because we wanted a great product. $2500 later we have a great looking fridge that has more issues than an old used car. Electrolux has no customer service that is helpful. I’ve spoke with “managers” and wrote letters. Still nothing but frustration. Every time I call they find a reason why they can’t help me. Came with a 10 year warranty they won’t honor!! We’ve sent our info to them multiple times per their request and still no help. They have told me to stop putting negative comments on their FB. I told them honor my warranty and I will stop. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE WASTE MONEY ON ANY ELECTROLUX PRODUCT!!!

The Electrolux appliances are the worst I have ever had. The ice maker is faulty and has lead to numerous repairs. The oven has roll out shelves that don’t work and burners that have been replaced. The dishwasher had to be replaced within 5 years. The Microwave has been repaired twice. Nothing good about any of these appliances. Wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their money on these Electrolux Brand.

My fridge was defective, it became evident 1.5 years into using it, but when I called I was told it was cosmetic and I had to pay for it myself. Then 5 years into it right after the extended warranty ended there was rust discovered in the back due to a hole because it was a defective product, the tech they sent made it worse by just covering it up. Now a 7 year old fridge... the entire back is rusted and now $3200 is gone. Knowing they made a mistake I am offered a 20% discount on another fridge. Customer service is nonexistent. Terrible product terrible service just awful! DO NOT BUY!

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. When I called inquiring about it, they told me I have to replace the entire drawer that would cost me over $700. The front of the refrigerator is rusting. The inside door panel is rusting and leaving yellow stains. Terrible company to deal with.

The main problem is the ice maker. The waterline frequently is clogged, necessitating service repair. The design of the ice receptacle is backwards, so every time you open the freezer, ice falls to the floor of the freezer, making you reach back to remove the ice from the floor of the freezer and the kitchen floor.

We first bought an Electrolux Icon French style (2 doors, bottom freezer) 6 years ago as part of a kitchen reno, along with matching wall ovens. From day one the ice maker had nothing but problems - service calls every few months. They did do 1 repair after the warranty expired. The next time I called they offered to replace the fridge "at cost", and we agreed as we wanted to maintain the look of the kitchen.
The ice maker on this unit worked, but after about a year the unit appeared to lose its mind and would randomly give high temp warnings, and then be OK for a day or two. Service tech "diagnosed" ice build up in the freezer and evaporator and recommended a full defrost. We did that and it was OK for few months, then happened again. This repeated 6 months later, and now again for the 3rd time. This time I pulled out the usin and noticed a huge patch of rust on the stainless steel back plate right behind the ice maker. So, looks like the ice maker has an internal leak, which builds up as ice inside the unit and eventually screws with the temp sensors. The door gasket is also now disintegrating. Bottom line - these people do not know how to design or build reliable refrigerators. They are quite literally junk. The ovens have been great though :).

We bought a Frigidaire self cleaning ceramic glass cooktop range in June of 2018, one month after the warranty period my wife turned on oven to preheat it. After about 3 min, she heard a loud popping sound and the breaker in the house tripped! She opened the oven and after the smoke cleared she saw a quarter sized melted hole in bottom of the oven. We knew the warranty was over so we called an appliance repairman to look at the stove. He found that the bottom element shorted and burned a hole in bottom pan and the convection fan was burned out! All the parts that needed to be replaced could not be located in Canada! These are very dangerous appliances! Stay away! The model number of the stove is CGEF3037TFC.

I bought the big expensive Electrolux washer and dyer. The big stand up kind with the doors on the side, with the window in the door. I love the washer but the dryer does not dry well and the wrinkle release is useless. To make matters worse some moron designed the filter inside the door to be flat so clothes just sit on the ledge and wrinkle terribly. It is a really stupid design!!! IT should at least be at an angle so some of the clothes do not just sit on the ledge, there should obviously be no ledge there!!!

Stay away from buying this brand. I purchased a Microwave/oven wall combination that I custom made my kitchen cabinets around. Literally after 2 uses, the interior "blue" coating started flaking off. After about 10 uses the whole bottom of the oven is completed raw. This makes cleaning the oven impossible as it's now a very rough texture. After many calls and emails and complaints about the blue enamel flaking off and flying around the oven when operating, they stated "there is nothing we can do because it's a cosmetic issue". Electrolux told me to contact a appliance repairman which I did.
After inspection he told me, "There is absolutely nothing I can do with this. It cannot be recoated." Perfect!!!! Now what! I have a brand new oven that is ruined after 2 uses and there is nothing I can do. Buy any other brand but this one. It's a joke, and the only thing I can pray for is not getting cancer from the enamel landing on the food that is cooking in the oven. Don't buy ELECTROLUX, there should be a warning label on this brand.

Contacted Electrolux over a week ago when my ice maker on the fridge quit working. They called me back in 3 days and stated I would be getting a call from a service tech within the next couple of days to schedule an appt. Never received a call. I called Electrolux to advise and they stated they again would contact the service tech. I received a call from the service tech stating they do not service Electrolux contracts, and they have no idea why Electrolux would contact them as they only service Frigidaire contracts.
I called Electrolux and advised of my conversation with the service tech. An Electrolux mgr. stated he would elevate my service request and I should hear from someone in 2-3 days. I asked, then how many days before I would be able to get service. He basically gave me the impression I should be glad that he elevated my request. I gave it some thought, looked in my yellow pages and noted tons of refrigerator repairmen. Called Electrolux back and asked if I should find someone to service my refrigerator would they reimburse? They said I would need to pay the service tech, submit the bill to Electrolux and they would determine if they would reimburse, because the repairmen in the area were not designated Frigidaire repairmen. So, here I sit, just thinking what an absolute nightmare and waste of time and money dealing with what appears to be a worthless Electrolux warranty.

We purchased 4 Electrolux kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range 10 years ago. Wanted all my appliances to match. The range worked except the oven panel on the bottom started to bubble. I called to get it replaced and they told me it wasn't made anymore so I had to live with it. After 2 years the microwave broke and had to replace it, 3 years later the microwave broke again and had to buy another. Then 4 years went by, and the refrigerator broke down completely! Of course, I kept saying - I want them to all match so we bought a new refrigerator. Well about 6 months later, you guessed it, the microwave broke. That was our third one.
When I called to see if it could be fixed or replace the panel found out it was so expensive had to buy another. When speaking to customer support I happen to mention about my oven panel. Said yes, they did have a replacement so I ordered it in February. About a month ago it started to bubble just like the last one. Last week I called them and said had to pay for another. Which I will not do. Have not mentioned my dishwasher because I don't use it!! Sure it would break if I did. Hope you were able to read this long experience. In 10 years I have had 3 microwaves, 2 refrigerators and a oven panel that looks terrible. All Electrolux!!! Terrible!!!

They are now on the second service person and he can't look at it for 20 days. I expect to be without a refrigerator for at least 3 months, this is just not fair. They should have just replaced it. Let's see. A 12 month warranty but the unit doesn't work for at least 3 months and I have renters that have no refrigerator. I will now not buy from Home Depot either because they won't exchange and they don't repair. I will next time buy from a company that sells and repairs what they sell.

The part could not be replaced but Electrolux has it down that it's rust and corrosion (which there isn't a speck on the unit). They denied the claim and refuse to pay for replacement of the unit saying it's our fault-I would like to know how a module that is required to fix the fan speed (only high didn't work) has anything to do with rust and corrosion! Well, the RR Appliance Service man was here today. He was just spinning wheels, nothing accomplished. I contacted the manager (Cory) of the Jetsons store that I purchased the stove from. Cory said I need to send an e-mail to Electrolux explaining the issue: Only one issue! Here goes.... The control panel has an Oven Side of lights and a Burner side of lights. With no activity for 2 minutes, the Oven side of lights go to sleep and then a physical separation of time that can be seen, the Burner side lights go to sleep. This is all and well, except when a burner was used for a period of time heating up the glass such that when the burner is turned off and the pot removed, the glass is too hot to touch. An "HE" for Hot Element" is displayed for that burner location and all "ON/OFF white lights are on.
After 2 minutes, the oven right side of the panel lights go to sleep, AND DO NOT PULL THE BURNER LIGHTS TO SLEEP, because one of the burners has an "HE" hot glass. After a period of time, the "HE" goes away, and 2 minutes later the 4 burner lights should go to sleep. THEY DO NOT! Hours later, the only lights on the panel are the clock and the 4 "ON/OFF" white burner lights. To get the burner lights to go to sleep, you have to cycle the control panel, touch anywhere, wake up the lights, wait 2 minutes and the Oven side goes to sleep followed by the Burner side. Your service tech on the phone and documented in your system said this is how the product should work. I find this hard to believe, and Cory the Store manager also finds this hard to believe. Cory suggested that a firmware fix should be applied to resolve this LOGIC Control issue. Electrolux, did you really design the product to work like this?

ELECTROLUX SERVICE WARRANTY PROCESS IS LONG AND BROKEN: 5 WEEKS WITH A DRYER THAT HAS NEVER POWERED UP. Appalling service and approach to customer service. Electrolux service warranty process is long and Broken: 5 weeks with a dryer that never powered-up. I'm now in possession of a dryer for approx. 5 weeks that has never powered-up. It's been 5 weeks of endless hours of phone calls and emails with Canadian Appliance Source, the retailer; Electrolux Warranty Dept; and Home Appliance Care Ottawa, authorized service technicians.
Following the first warranty service call, the tech diagnosed the problem to be the motherboard related to power fluctuations in the dryer electrical outlet. The builder's electrician confirmed the power readings were normal and within acceptable limits. A replacement board was ordered and installed. Guess what?! The dryer still did not power-up and tech remains convinced it is due to a power issue. I requested a second assessment of the power situation from the provincial (equivalent to a US state) power provider, and it was determined again that all was working as it should. This information was relayed to Electrolux, who now wants to schedule a third warranty service call, as a second opinion to its first 2 assessments.
When asked why a second opinion was necessary given that more highly educated and experienced professionals have already determined that there are no issues with power supplied to the dryer, I was essentially told it was because Electrolux was more trusting of the assessment provided by their authorized service technician. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HOW DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? Does the CEO/PRESIDENT or any other member of Electrolux's senior management team have any idea of how customers are being handled? This is a waste of time by all the parties involved, and hugely inconvenient for me, the customer. I'm presently drying my clothes on a $50 drying rack instead of the $800 dryer I purchased.
WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ANY OF THIS? Common sense to this situation in not being applied by Electrolux. Why doesn't Electrolux retain its political capital and just admit the productive is defective. It will be a very, very sad day if Electrolux maintains its position of only accepting their authorized technician's assessment about the power situation. What a disgusting way to treat a customer who is in possession of product for almost 5 weeks that has never worked out-of-the-box.

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk.
After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.
Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours 'cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

We purchased a washer and gas dryer in June 2017. The washer is ok but the dryer seemed to take longer and longer to dry. The lint screen turns out to be the problem as it does not seal and lets lint get by into the blower. The blower blades get packed full and the safety heat circuits shut the gas off. Appears Electrolux also figured that the lint screen filter was a faulty design and on the new model did a complete redesign!! I will not use the dryer since Electrolux has not designed or manufactured a parts correction and will not sell it to anyone else as it appears to be a fire hazard!

I moved from New Jersey to California in March 2017 and had always had high quality washers and dryers in the basement of my 3-bedroom house in NJ. From the time I bought the house in 1988 I used the same Sears Kenmore washer & dryer until the washer broke down in 2013 (aged 28; replaced it with another Kenmore) and in selling the house in 2017 replaced the dryer with a G.E. Never paid for a service contract because the original Kenmore appliances were well made in the U.S.A. and lasted forever.
In Southern California I downsized to a condo and discovered both washer & dryer malfunctioned, were rusty and from 1969, but barely fit into the tiny space, as there were public laundries in the adult community with a few blocks. Instead I researched small washer/dryer combos, but was too cheap to spring for a top of the line pair by Bosch or Miele. Big mistake! Instead, Home Depot was advertising an Electrolux pair at significant discount, so I bought both for a total of about $2200 including tax in August 2017. I live alone, so only ever do one moderate sized load per week, and read and followed all instructions carefully (cleaned lint filter after each use and cleaned condenser unit every 3 months even though the indicator never told me to).
Suddenly, almost exactly 18 months after purchase (actual delivery was Aug. 30th, so it was 2 weeks less than 18 mos.) the dryer stops working, gives error message E50 and I called customer service number 800-944-9044 listed in manual after discovering this model was already discontinued(!) to learn that the error code meant there was a problem with the temperature sensor. I turned off the machine, turned it on and this time the motor sounded awful as it tried to start up, made a revolution or 2 clockwise, then stopped and tried a revolution or 2 counterclockwise, and then stopped and gave the E50 message.
The customer service person did nothing but confirm I had not opted for the $350 yearly service contract when the 1-year warranty expired in August 2018 and offered only to give me the names of 3 authorized Electrolux repair companies, all at least 10 to 15 miles away, and I would have to pay in full for all repairs. I'll probably get an estimate or two, but my guess is the repairs will cost half the original cost of the dryer and it will break down again soon thereafter, so I may just break down and buy a Bosch or Miele dryer instead, as both brands have excellent reputations and I don't trust Electrolux at all.

I want everyone to know that these folks do not stand by their product even when you have paid extended warranty since 2011. They are telling me I have to live with ice buildup in the top front of the freezer and across the top and left side of the door. WHY. They have set me up with 2 service companies (GURU from Bonifay, FL). Tried 2 weeks and they were a no show. The last one was JC Appliance Dothan, AL Called twice and text them twice and they confirmed the appt Electrolux was suppose to have made nor did they answer the call when they tried to call them themselves.
So they set me up with AL POWER in between those two starting first part of December, came back end of December and 2 weeks later came back and I still I have. Company says, "There is nothing we can do. It is due to heat and humidity". BUT I have had this freezer since 2011 and have had 8 years of all SEASON and it just started building up last year. AND if that is it why is only in those spots and not the entire freezer. I have contacted BBB and they have contacted the company but all Electrolux had to do was let them know they contacted me NOT helping to fix the issue.
I have been dealing with this since Nov 11, 2018. I pay them to have good service companies that know what they are doing and show up. Why do I have to accept an unacceptable results. They can't prove its humidity and I can't prove it isn't EXCEPT LAST YEAR WAS NOT THE FIRST YEAR WE HAVE HAD HUMIDITY. We are in the south, we always have humidity. I pray the good Lord with help me find someone that can point me into the direction where I can get help. Built new home in 2014, and bought what we thought was a quality cooktop. June 2017, cooktop powered itself up to full power, until overheating, and shutting down. We were lucky that my wife was home, and I was able to get there in a few minutes. Closed breaker and called Frigidaire, and they said, you should have bought an extended warranty. It is as they know their appliances are poor quality. We called an appliance technician, and he arrived to tell us that it could have been moisture that caused the failure. Moisture, it is a cooktop, perhaps Electrolux should have sealed the control unit from this. Tech ordered the part to be replaced, it took 14 WEEKS! That is 3 1/2 months without a working kitchen.
Cooktop worked fine for @ 15 months, then started smoking from underneath, as the control box/board was catching fire. 911 alerted, as I was away, firetrucks, police cars, family, contractor, another red seal electrician, and a very excited four year old. Phone tag once again, as website number does not work. Electrolux representative flat out said he wanted nothing to do with it at all. Finally received a response from them, because they are sweethearts, they may be willing to offer a small discount on replacement parts. I asked the lady, if your cooktop failed twice, almost causing a fire both times, would you install it back in your home? Cooktop is in my bother's shed, as my wife will not have it on our property.
These cooktops are really just toasters, with more power, simple on/off with gradient controls from 1-10, extended warranties should not even be offered, as they should work for twenty years without issues. Our biggest concern is that the units should be recalled, and it is certainly defective design (moisture invasion) and faulty parts. If you have this unit, maybe install a breaker for when you are away from the unit, as I would not trust the appliance. Does anyone know of a quality, safe cooktop? Electrolux customer service was horrendous from the start, and really don't care about customers, or the safety of their products. Be safe!

We have had an Electrolux dishwasher for two years. It worked great until last week and started leaking. I called Electrolux and they stated it was not under warranty, which I knew, and they could send out a repairman. There would be an $89.95 upfront charge which would go against the labor. It was a minor repair on the drain line that took about 10 minutes. However, I had to pay another $87.02 for labor and "parts". The $89.95, according to the technician, was a trip charge only. That was not how it was represented by customer service. I called back and talked to a manager that said maybe the rep I had talked to had stated it incorrectly, duh, and that they would educate them to be more specific. It was an intentional misrepresentation in my opinion and they should have know better. I could have called a local company and gotten it done much cheaper.

My 15 year old machine packed up just before Christmas. Given that my son's family of 5 were to stay with me for 2 weeks of the holidays, I decided to buy a new machine rather than have the old one fixed. Nowadays it's difficult to check machines out in showrooms, so looking online, I ordered an Electrolux front loader from Home Depot. Free installation and they'd remove the old machine at no cost. Great. I'd get it taken care of before the family arrived.
The machine worked for the first couple of times, but after a few days, stopped spinning. By this time, Home Depot had washed their hands of me because it was beyond their 48 hour return policy. I contacted Electrolux to request either a new machine, or my money back. They insisted on sending out a technician, who, called the support department to be informed the office was closed for the holidays.
I contacted Electrolux again who said they'd send out another technician. I explained that I didn't want a 2 week old machine repaired, I either wanted a new one or my money back. Of course, this won't happen and I have to have another technician review the machine. I have now been waiting for this to happen, and calls to the support department go unanswered.
In the meantime, I am becoming very familiar with my local laundromat, and so far have spent at least $100 on using their machines. Now my family has left, I have 6 lots of bedding waiting to be laundered. I cannot believe I'm in this situation. I don't know where to turn to next. I think I have been treated despicably and don't feel very good about it.

Update on 01/14/2019: Because we were provided with an additional year parts and labor by Electrolux, a service person came in today, January 14, and replaced the door seal. Within one hour the new door seal was leaking again. Being extremely frustrated with Electrolux and the continued issue with their washer I phoned their customer service, again, and asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. I was informed they have no program to allow for each to return their defective washer, I will have to talk to the dealer (Recker & Boerger).
I informed the supervisor I did not accept her response and wanted to talk to her manager. I was informed the manager would contact me in 1-2 days. I’m furious about their defective product and the manager won’t talk to me... I have to wait. Great customer service. Out of sheer frustration I called Recker & Boerger, talk to a store manager who told me they “chose” not to take back products that have been in a home over 30 days... My advice... Stay away from any Electrolux products and Recker & Boerger in the Cincinnati area. Both have no concept of how to provide customer service. Amazing.
Original: In July, 2017 my wife and I allowed a salesperson to talk us into a front loading Electrolux washer, we had always had top loaders. Also bought matching dryer and the risers for each. Nothing but trouble with both, numerous service calls on washer and dryer. The washer is loud, sometimes much awful noises, doesn’t fill immediately while making those noises, but the most recent “joy in owning an Electrolux” is the door is leaking. The door seal was replaced approximately 6-8 months ago and we just started noticing streams of water running down the front of the washer. And, because we have it on a riser, water runs into the drawer on the riser.
I’ll be calling Electrolux on Monday, we’ll have another service call, might get repaired properly, and wait for the next surprise. If you live in the Cincinnati area, stay away from Recker & Boerger. Once they make a delivery...you’re on your own, talk to Electrolux. So much for customer satisfaction. Best advice I can give is stay away from Electrolux!

We have a lab and he said we need to shake out everything before washing as the dog's hair will clog the machine. This repair is not for the amateur and if it wasn’t under warranty it would have been about $240. Can’t believe the poor design and difficult accessibility to do routine cleaning. On the day of the appointment he shows up looks at the appliance and within 5 minutes tells he would need to order the part and come back and that it would take about a week or so.
So I'll be without a washer until then, so I called the warranty company back and explain to the corporate supervisor that a week or so is way too long so she reassures me that this will be priority and that she will put a rush on things. It is now 3 weeks later and I've not heard back from either party, so I call the tech to ask for an update, he tells me the company took him off my case and knows nothing about the situation. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again.
I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldn't send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasn't without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadn't received the second door panel yet so I told them we weren't ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label.
Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they can't refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

Safety alert! Purchased this dryer from Sears in December 2017, and have experienced lint clogging problems in the fan assembly since then. Spoke with Rita ** at corporate, November 20, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. central standard time. She first asked what she could do to and I told her to pay for the parts I ordered or replace the dryer. I reviewed my original email message to her (Rita **) as she appeared to not have read it thoroughly. She stated that my installing the filter assembly lint clamshell (530451374) and the grill assembly lint with moisture sensor (5304515376) would void my manufacturer's warranty. Even though the parts are newer models (for EFME627U) released after discontinuing my dryer model and would work by using longer mounting screws and transferring the original moisture sensor wire assembly, Electrolux would dismiss the unit and no longer honor the warranty.
I stated that the engineers would be very happy to learn about the problem and the repair to correct using the newer design parts. I also asked Rita if she would like grandmothers or other elderly people to have to deal with the "felt producing" lint buildup in the fan assembly. I expressed concern regarding the high number of bad reviews of this dryer because of the lint problem. Rita promptly tried to tell me that the majority of the Internet reviews are negative at which point I cut her off and explained that I understand how the Internet works as I am an IT professional. People typically post detailed negative reviews when extremely frustrated or disappointed. Rita said something about posting good reviews and I told her that I do not post reviews for every service and item that delivers as expected. It is only the problems that need to be shared or those services or items that deliver in a much better than expected manner.
Rita stated a minimum of three times that it was at my discretion to post negative reviews - even when I explained that they would be detailed. With all that said, are you certain that this direction is the one endorsed by Electrolux corporate? It is a great disappointment to me and I will need to spend more time to release the reviews as I do NOT want elderly people or others (think of your family and friends) to purchase such a problematic dryer. This dryer is the FIRST to exhibit these problems - even with washing and drying laundry containing MORE fur and lint with my previously owned, other branded, units.
In all cases I am a fanatic about cleaning the lint screen and in the situation of the current Electrolux, stopping the cycle midway to perform an additional cleaning if I am drying whites (cotton based). Note that I also sent email messages to Alan Shaw and Jonas Samuelson receiving NO response or bounce messages (their email addresses are good). Will never purchase Electrolux products again.

After using my dryer for a couple of years now, I've been having problems. The lint filter no longer fits smoothly. The edge sits up higher than the rest of the area in the front of the dryer and this causes clothing to get hung on the edge, thus, wrapping around other garments until a knot of twisted, knotted clothing exists. This twisting and heating of the garments actually causes wrinkling and stretching which is very difficult to get out, even no-iron clothing requires either wetting and re-drying or ironing.

If it were possible to rate Electrolux with zero stars I would have done that. I have had a nightmare of an experience with my Electrolux front loader washing machine and this was a VERY expensive machine. The first machine that was delivered to me didn't work at all so that had to be removed and another new machine brought it.
That second machine worked for about 10 washes and it went out. Not only was this completely inconvenient to be without a washing machine again, and realizing that this incredible expensive machine was completely unreliable, Working with Electrolux with the warranty to have it serviced was a total nightmare. The local company they used under the warranty to come out and service the machine took almost 2 weeks to get me on their calendar so I was without a washing machine for that amount of time and I just had to wait it out, per Electrolux (that's even after going to their customer service management). When the company came to service it, they determined that it needed FOUR MAJOR PARTS REPLACED, which included a new water sensor, a new motor, new motherboard, etc. I had this SECOND new machine for less than 45 days. Not only that, but 3 of the 4 parts that needed replacing were on backorder.
Electrolux was AWFUL to deal with, their customer service kept hanging up on me or passing me around when I was trying to find a solution to this problem and eventually they told me that I had to wait it out and they would get someone to service it when the parts came in. I was the one inconvenienced by their unreliable product and they had zero sympathy for my situation (including the fact that I'm extremely pregnant and about to have a baby any day). I regret buying an Electrolux appliance and hope this review reaches a lot of people so others don't go through the same nightmare I've been through with this company.

Each person I spoke with, were not solution oriented or the slightest bit empathetic to the issue(s) at hand.
I emailed the head of appliances in North America (Alan Shaw) in hopes he could have an individual or team to assist with the issue. I was contacted by a horrendously rude woman (Rita **) who was curt and not once apologized for the inconvenience. She offered a 20% discount on an extended warranty. Our newly laid carpets were flooded and our insurer was there on the Saturday commencing the drying process. We sustained $2k damage and had to pay $500 excess. All the other information was identical. They state that I was notified via email but never received anything regarding it. Electrolux refused to resend the $100 gift card when I contacted customer support. I got the Electrolux dishwasher as a package from our home builder. We had problems from the start. Within the first year, while it was still under warranty, we had to get it serviced three times. It would not dry the dishes, the pump failed so it would discharge the water. Right now the touch controls are unusable. I have to open-close the door ~10 times before I can simply press start. Forget about selecting any custom wash cycle. Every so often even that does not work and I have to cycle the power to the unit at the fuse box. We are waiting for the unit to die to replace it. To all my family, friends and shipmates: Please forward this on to as many people as possible in order to get the widest amount of coverage as possible! My wife and I purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator (Model Number EW23BC70IS) on 25 May 2009 at a cost of $3699.00 for our new home. In less than a year were so many problems with the refrigerator; ice maker not working and freezer drawer cracked (which were covered under warranty), that Electrolux finally replaced it with another one (Model Number EW23BC71IS) on 29 April 2011.
On 9 August 2013 there was a service call to replace electronic board and ice maker. On 5 September 2016 another service call to install Rear Insulation Kit. Finally, on 16 May 2018, a service call to install Air Handler. Then less than month later, on 13 June 2018, a service call to Beach Appliance Service, LLC., regarding frozen water line, no ice or water, and large mold patch on wall next to the back of refrigerator in addition to water dripping from back of refrigerator.
The bottom line is that even though Electrolux was contacted both by Beach Appliance Service, who provided a total of 18 pictures (including mold), and myself (at least 5 phone calls) regarding this issue, Electrolux’s bottom line was that the refrigerator was out of warranty and that they would be happy to give me 10% off a new refrigerator. Please tell everyone you know what a lousy product Electrolux makes and that no one should buy anything from them or go through what we did. Since I didn't any resolution from Electrolux, I am now taking them to small claims court.

When I called Electrolux the customer service representative asked me what the problem was after I explained the whole situation, he didn't think the water leaking from the machine was an issue for them to deal with. Not to mention waiting 3 weeks for my washer to be fix the amount of mold that grew inside by the motor and pump was ridiculous, especially when I asked the technician on his original visit to please open the machine to remove broken pump and that I could clean it all out.
Instead today when the machine was open water came pouring out that had been sitting in there for 3 weeks! If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food.
This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are "MAN MADE" and that's what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised it'll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently there's only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. We built our dream house in late 2013. We purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, double oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher and an under counter ice maker. All ELECTROLUX. The washer is full of mold, the oven cooks unevenly, my refrigerator ice maker is unreliable - having its own mind and only sporadically makes ice. At one point after several months of use it dispensed pieces of styrofoam along with ice cubes. Have already replaced the dishwasher due to excessive service calls and mold. The latest slap in the face was my under counter ice maker just stopped working. Called Electrolux. They sent a repair person out - the service call was $145.00 - it was a crack in the propeller on the circulation pump. To replace, the estimate was about $800. It was only used a handful of times, mostly during the holidays. It will be on the curb for trash day. Electrolux products are horrible and so is their customer service department.

Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs.
The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really don't want a new one, but don't want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I don't know that I can find one of the same size. We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be "the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world". Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children.
Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Let's just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

J&M Appliances have been to my house 10 times to fix different things but it went wrong with the unit and four times to diagnose it. They called Electrolux for me trying to get me a new unit being it was only a few months old. Electrolux denied the new unit so, I’ve sent emails to the CEO jonas.samuelson@electrolux.com and I believe it was the Vice President jan.brockmann@electrolux.com. Neither of them have responded back to me.
Here’s the kicker. I spoke with a RITA **. She’s some kind of an executive assistant pretty high up. I told her I wanted a new unit. That this was ridiculous having to leave work and meet the service rep 14 times. So she told me she was not going to replace the unit. I was out of luck. Mind you it’s still under the one-year warranty. I have proof with the receipt. She didn’t care.
Also Rita ** put a block on my Electrolux account so nobody else can help me with the problem anymore. I’ve called them numerous times asking to speak or two different managers and the managers tell me that she put a lock on it and only she can get into my account now. Be warned about this company. Do not purchase any of their appliances. The one year manufacturer warranty or any other warranties do not matter to this company. Do your research. Called this morning and had to pay 250.00 to get five knobs. Was told that the "next time" I would get them for free. How nice of them. They should fix the knobs for free since its their design flaw that makes them break. Plastic housings for a metal pin- and when it breaks sometimes you think you have the gas off and then realize that it's not off and leaking out. It could burn someones house down. And Electrolux would be responsible. Make a new knob guys! Why rely on a cheap plastic housing for a metal pin. Especially one that controls gas. I waited a couple of days and received an email letting me know I need to contact the delivery company and pay an additional $169 to have the defective product removed and deliver a new unit. Electrolux sells you junk and wants more money to replace it. I called the delivery company and they are telling me, "your unit is here, but it's on hold". So I call and the person tells me he wants to contact the original customer service person I spoke to and figure out what's going on. He asked if I paid the $169 and I told him no. He confirmed my number and said he would call me back. 3 hours later no call, so I decide to call Electrolux back to see what's going on. I wait on hold for 15 minutes because of the heavy volume of calls. The customer service rep answers and I explain to her what's going on and her response is, they must have gone home for the day is why I never heard back. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I call back to the delivery company and tell them what I just did and now they are telling me, "No, we do not take payment" and I need to call Electrolux! I told her this doesn't make any sense and the woman said she will send Electrolux non-customer service department an email to figure out what's going on. Every single appliance has had problems, too many to outline. Some of the problems Electrolux has no fix for other than expensive parts to fix parts that they knew did not work. More problems are on the way, as our microwave has stopped rotating and our freezer is making a funny noise as well as the fan in the convection oven is making sounds that it did not make before. These are all top of the line appliances that should last more than a couple of years of use. However Electrolux does not agree or care. I am going to start a class action lawsuit in Canada against them, my email is **. Write me if you would like to join in.

We recently purchased an Electrolux Oven. The unit came highly recommend on several sites online. The unit arrived with damage, including a defective control panel. Electrolux was initially very friendly and professed a desire to do whatever was needed to fix the unit. In the end, they admitted that they had no parts for the oven and would have to manufacture some. It would take at least a month. They then discussed replacing the oven, but decided it needed to be repaired at least once. Of course there were no parts to repair it. In the end, they did nothing. So we bought another oven. Customer service gets an F.

Thought Electrolux made a good washing machine and I was wrong! This machine was purchased in 2015 and hardly used for the first year. Started using it in 2016, and last year. Now, just found out the bearings are broken (they are plastic), and the machine needs to be junked. Junked! I had a much cheaper Maytag that was around for like ten years. After speaking to the repair guy, I was told that this is common with this machine. That is why I felt compelled to go here and write this review. I know I won't get any result or credit, the thing only has a 1-year warranty. But if I can help one person not buy this POS. Then I would feel better. Companies should not get rewarded for poorly designed products.

I bought a new home last July of 2017 and had a allowance for the range. I wanted a dual oven so they let me upgrade to one. I paid the builder the difference from the allowance I was already paying. The oven has not worked since I got it. Electrolux (Frigidaire) made me go through 7 visits from repair companies (2) and neither could resolve the issue. Electrolux does not make the same model to replace it so I asked for my money back. They will not pay me the full amount but only the addition to my allowance which is only HALF what I paid for it!!! I sent in the paperwork to prove I paid that much and they still refuse. I have lost wages and gas from all the repair visits. I cannot replace my oven for what they will give me. Terrible, terrible company and customer service!!! They said in writing that they would refund the full purchase price.

Unfortunately this last time when the brand new replacement came, it worked for a few hours and then quit, leaving me with ruined food and no refrigerator at all for more than two weeks!! Yes, we have had Electrolux replace their poor quality French door refrigerator but it takes months of calls and repair people visits to come to that. Imagine doing this FOUR times in Seven Years. I am so over. I wake up every day and pray the brand new one is still running!!

When I first bought the side by side Frigidaire Fridge, upon delivery the delivery guys dropped it, and broke the leveler. I called Home Depot, I wanted a replacement so that I wouldn't have problems later on, they would not replace it because I didn't call within 48 hrs, I missed it by 2 hrs. They did repair it. 11 months later it stopped cooling. I called HD, they scheduled a tech from a local company to come out to service it, two weeks go by and have not heard anything. I call HD and ask when they were going to come out, HD gives me the number to call the service co. I call, they said they cant get out for another week, OK fine. On the night before they were to come, they call me said it would be another week. They said they were really busy and couldn't come out to even see what was wrong with it and didn't know when they could.
My guess is that warranty work is not a priority. I called HD, and asked if there was someone else who could service, they set up another company. Another week goes by, I hear nothing, I call HD, they give me the company's phone number and told me to call, they tell me I should be getting a call by the end of the day. However they will give me the number in case they don't.
I asked if they had all the information or if I need a reference number for them? They said, "No, I spoke to them and it is all set, they know all about it and they assured me they will take care of you." They didn't call, I call them the next day. I said to the owner, "You should have been contacted by HD, they said that they gave you all the information about what needs to be done," he says, "About what?" I said, "My fridge," "Yeah I got a call but I'm not doing it, I won't do any warranty work for Electrolux, they owe me money," he went on cursing, cursing and cursing at Electrolux that I had to cut him off and hang up.
I call HD again, I say, "I thought this was all set up with this company," also why they would Electrolux use a company who won't do warranty work and bad mouths them? They really need to find dealers who will support them. I would be embarrassed to send a customer to a company like that. HD looks up another company, another company and asked me to call them, I say, "Wait a minute, first of all you wouldn't even know that the fridge is getting repaired, you call the service companies however you don't follow-up to see if it was actually fixed and that I'm satisfied, I don't get that? I'm the one that has to call you to tell you that I'm having issues, you are relying on your customers to tell you." They said they would call the 3rd company.
A week later, I call HD, no one has contacted me, they call the service company, and call me back, they tell me I should be getting a call by the end of the day. However they will give me their number in case they don't. I call them the next day, they said they would come out in two days, and they do. They determine it is a line leak, they said they don't do leak repairs. I'm now 2 months into this with no fridge and $450.00 of spoiled food. I call HD, they said they would call Electrolux. Another week goes by, I call HD, they tell me that they are trying to get it replaced but Electrolux has to approve it. Another week goes by, HD calls me, Electrolux approved replacement because they couldn't get it fixed, we have to wait for the paperwork.
Another week goes by, I get a call from Electrolux, they asked where I bought it, I ask why they needed that and said Home Depot, he said, "Because we go back to the same company who you bought it from." I'm thinking, you should have already known this, you have been talking to them and approved it. 2 more weeks go by, I don't hear anything, I call HD to see when it is going to be delivered, they have nothing in their system, they have to call me back, two days later I call HD, still can't find me in their system, HD conference calls Electrolux, Electrolux said they ordered it through Lowe's because HD doesn't keep them in stock. Electrolux said I should have received a call by now from Lowes, I'm sure they will call you in the next day. Another week goes by, I get a voicemail from Lowe's, they want me to provide a receipt, they don't have it in stock it has to be special ordered.
I call the Electrolux Corporate Supervisor who I had been talking to up until this time. Her voice mail kicks in, she is on vacation and leaves a phone number and message and to ask for a supervisor at that number. I'm 3 months into this. I call the number and I told the Electrolux Rep on the phone I wanted to talk to the supervisor, she said, "Ok, but first I need to update our system then I will transfer you," she ask me if it was a side by side, I said yes, she then said that, "Lowe's should be in contact with you, have they contacted you," I said, "I wanted to talk to a supervisor, she went on and told me I need to call Lowe's and that they will get it delivered." I asked for her supervisor again, she said, "Sir I'm telling you what you need to do," (Isn't it great when they TELL you what you need to do, instead of doing it for you).
I said, "You don't know the story, I already made contact with Lowe's and it has all changed, that's why I want to talk to your supervisor, in fact I was told to talk to your supervisor, get me your supervisor," she said that it might take a minute, I said, "I have been waiting for 3 months, what's another minute to me, let me talk to your supervisor," "Ok sir one minute," she transfers me, the supervisor comes on, I tell her the story, (It is also noted in their system). She could care less, I said, "I have been without a refrigerator for 3 months, how much time should a person have to wait?" She immediately replied, in a condescending tone, "Well I had to wait for things too," I asked her, "What does that have to do with me?" She said, "Well sir, I'm just saying..." I respond, "I could care less. I need a fridge." I said, "Lowe's wants a receipt before replacing the fridge," she said "Yes, they need that."
I said, "They want a HD receipt?" "Yes they can request that," I explain that I bought it online and I didn't have it, she said, "You have to have it to get a replacement." I said, "You guys (Electrolux) already approved a replacement, you called Lowe's and gave them a PO?" She said it was out of her hands and that it was up to Lowe's, "You need to call Lowe's." Throughout the call her tone was very condescending, as if she didn't want to help. I then asked for her supervisor, she said O.K. However if I wanted her to she would call Lowe's while I was on the phone, I said, "What is that going to do if you are telling me I have to have a receipt for them to have them order it through you?" I asked for her supervisor again, she transfers me to a supervisor who I had already been working with, the one on vacation whose message said to call her.
Why transfer a person when the person isn't in? This is just a small, very small account of what it takes before you get a replacement or even an answer. I still don't have a replacement, I have made numerous calls, promises broken, my father has even called. I'm not even sure if proper training would be beneficial? Based on the fridge being a special order, best estimate to receive the replacement is 4 months. That's if they don't need a receipt. And keep in mind, HD and Electrolux both have in their systems the broken fridge's serial, model number and the date which it was purchased. Furthermore Electrolux Corporate has already approved a replacement and has given Lowe's a P.O. number. One last thing, they want to charge me to Haul their broken refrigerator away.
UPDATE 4/18:Another week goes by, Lowes tells me they are having a difficult time getting the correct information from Electrolux. I call Electrolux and talk to a different Corp. supervisor, someone in their “Escalation” department, she states that they should not have set this up with Lowes since I didn’t buy it from Lowes and now must go back to Home Depot. However they are also trying to find another retail store to take care of it? She said that my original supervisor I had worked with will call me the following Monday to update me. I get the call on Monday afternoon, the original Corp supervisor tells me that the replacement should never have been processed through Lowes, and that she has idea why it was given to Lowes. I told her that she new I bought it from HD and that I even questioned her on why they would use Lowes? She didn’t know, she said that replacement will be coming from a third party, A third party I asked, so its not coming from HD? She said it looks like its coming from one of our warehouses and we just need to find a delivery company? She said she would contact me once they have it ready to be delivered. Very close to 4 months now from when I first called. My question to Electrolux is this? How long should their customers have to wait to be taken care of, 10 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 8months and 1year? Please tell your customers, do you keep benchmark numbers, goals, do you track, do you care? Why do you not give apologies or be sympathetic? Also, since returns, damages, replacements, warranty work is part of doing business, why would you not use it to gain customer loyalty? This is what you do for a living. One last question to Electrolux, it’s not my job to do yours, or is it? My best guess to have a replacement is now 5 months.
Update to follow.

I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a President's Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot.
Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, "Well, we try and contact our customers but we don't always get to everyone." Needless to say, I'm fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

Unfortunately, we purchased the washer/dryer set while the home was under renovations and were unable to use the appliances for several months. By the time we used the appliances, the horrible rattling started, but warranty ended. My former GE clothes dryer worked perfectly and quietly for 10 years, never requiring service. I'll never purchase from Electrolux again and will tell post as many reviews as possible about their poorly made and overpriced clothes dryer.

Purchased Electrolux fridge model EI123BC361IS in 2010. Yesterday noticed not cooling. After troubleshooting it was determined light switch not functioning which resulted with bulbs (4) staying actively lit after doors closed. The bulbs super heated fridge causing internal temp to read 99 degrees. The heat from the bulbs melted a hole in internal plastic wall exposing styrofoam insulation. Partially melted another hole over another light. Lower bulbs turned sockets dark brown and also began to melt plastic there as well. Contacted customer service said machine not under warranty. No kidding, I told them not really interested in warranty, I wanted to let them know it poses a fire threat. Their response was to advise me to call a technician and examine it. I suggested to them they should send out a representative at their own expense and forwarded photos to them. Did not get the impression they really care and were not very helpful.

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old.
Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. All my Electrolux appliances broke down. The dryer quit and had to replace the motherboard. The microwave broke and replaced it with another over the range microwave and the handle broke within few months. Then last week my Electrolux dishwasher caught fire. It was the motor that caught fire and spread to the insulation. The fire department came and put out the fire and whole house was damaged with smoke. Insurance is handling the claim and I had to pay the $1000 deductible and the dishwasher is not covered by the insurance. It was a loss close to 10 grand. Electrolux wasn't even ready to pay someone to come and do an inspection and I had to pay an authorized repairman to come and submit the report to Electrolux. He is coming tomorrow to do the inspection. I am really frustrated with Electrolux appliances and their accountability.

When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1/13/16 through 1/3/17 - a period of less than 1 year. During this period, service technicians were at our house 13 times! In addition to that time, we also spent HUNDREDS of hours on the phone with Electrolux, Frigidaire and appliance repair companies.
We purchased from Sears a Frigidaire standalone freezer. The freezer was less than 1 year old when problems started which didn't bode well for the future so we purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Electrolux which handles the warranties for Frigidaire. The freezer continually developed icicles inside the door, the drain continued to freeze and condensation had nowhere to go, so thick sheets of ice then formed and built up on the bottom of the freezer to the extent that the slide-out drawer was frozen solid and could not be utilized until the frost-free freezer was defrosted to release the drawer. This required that we find a place for all of the food that was in the freezer while it defrosted.
At one point the freezer stopped (while we were out of town) and we came home to more than $1,000 of food loss and a smell that still is not completely gone. Of course, that loss was not covered by Electrolux or Frigidaire. The extended warranty covers replacement of the appliance as a "lemon" if a part fails at least 3 times AND a repair tech says it can't be fixed. Electrolux was able to string us along for more than a year because each time a tech came out for the SAME PROBLEM, they tried to fix it by replacing a different PART and the "lemon" protection only applies if the SAME PART fails 3 times. (Several parts were replaced 2 times.) So they kept replacing different parts to fix the same problem and none of it worked.
The first repair company finally told Electrolux, they couldn't correct the problem and were not going to keep coming out, so Electrolux assigned another company to pursue the problem. That was equally unsuccessful so they tried a third repair company. That third company also told Electrolux the freezer was not able to be fixed. Most service calls required multiple visits because the tech would come out, decide what part needed to be replaced but NEVER had the part in their vehicle so they had to go back and the part had to be ordered requiring another visit for the same service call. The parts almost never came in when expected and the repair companies rarely called to say the parts were in - so we always had to do the follow-up.
Several times a single service call required 3, 4 and once even 5 trips to our house because the tech needed a different part, or there were supposed to be 2 parts but the tech showed up with only one, etc. Each trip required us to be at home and therefore we had to arrange our schedules to accommodate the technician. And we had to be available for a minimum of 4 hours because they only give you a "window" during which a tech will arrive and it was not unusual that the tech was running behind and wouldn't make it during the 4 hour window. On one occasion, the appointment was supposed to be between 8:00 and 12:00 and the tech finally showed up at 7:30 pm - almost 12 hours after the start of the 4-hour window.
We eventually contacted state agencies, which then contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire on our behalf. Electrolux made the following offer: For a delivery/removal charge of $150, they would replace the "lemon" freezer with the EXACT SAME MODEL and, OUR WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE NEW FREEZER even though there were still 2 years on the warranty we had already purchased. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM SEARS. We will never purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance. Choose your appliance carefully!

After 6 months, my Electrolux gas dryer stopped working. Relieved it was still under warranty, I contacted Electrolux. That was a week ago and my dryer is still not repaired. The hold up is that the 2 lb part that the repairman determined was needed is in North Carolina and I live in California. Electrolux has refused to expedite delivery and has sent it via UPS SurePost which will take 8 days. This costs about $10 vs the $37 2-day UPS services costs. More disturbingly, after much insistence on my part, Electrolux agreed to send it via 2-day UPS service but then did not do it.
I have wasted so much time and energy trying to get through to Electrolux customer service agents and then trying to get information out of them. They have gone back and forth telling me stories about the shipping details. Escalating to supervisors has been useless, they, too, make general statements such as, "I understand how frustrating this must be to not have your dryer for a long period of time". The lack of real interest in customer service is shocking and I will never be purchasing Electrolux again. Just wanted to warn other consumers.

Model # E130BM6CPSA. Purchased this Electrolux OTR Microwave with the convection and grill in the hopes that I could get rid of my Breville convection toaster oven from our kitchen counter. Unfortunately no luck in doing that. Purchased Aug.31, 2017 and because the kitchen cupboards had to be modified to accommodate the microwave it sat in the box until Jan. 5, 2018 when it got installed by professional cabinet installers who have done this many times. The microwave works well, however when I went to use the convection cooking function I ended up using it 2X as long as the toaster oven and then had to put it in the toaster oven to actually get past just being warm. Next day I tried to use the grill function to cook 6 small breakfast sausages and they also took 2X as long so I put them in the fry pan to finish.
I call Electrolux customer service and they gave me 3 service companies to contact. We had one of them come and check out the unit and it never got to the temperature he entered on the unit and call Electrolux and the customer service rep he reached said the convection function takes about 40 min to reached the desired temp. (So I can only guess the preheat function is not working, but 40 minutes really.) The service tech then tried again to preheat the convection function and redid it for a 1/2 hour with no luck and call Electrolux a 2nd time that day. The customer service rep said that my expectation for this microwave were too high. Also the customer service rep pointed out to me that the manufacture date on the unit is 2015 and I purchased it in August 2017 so he suggested that I contact Electrolux again and tell them that I am not satisfied with the microwave which I did.
The customer service rep did confirm to me that there was a note on file of my issue and said she would contact someone about my dissatisfaction with the microwave and get back to me the next day. No one called me back and I patiently waited and then finally called them back 2 weeks later and was basically told there is nothing wrong with the microwave and there is nothing they can do. I will never purchase another Electrolux convection/grill microwave and will purchase a Panasonic next time.

We have a defective Electrolux refrigerator. According to the repairman, our ice maker was not insulated sufficiently from the back panel of the refrigerator. It has caused condensate to form on the back of the appliance. We discovered a large (about 6" in diameter) rust spot there with a trailing one of about 18" or so. There is condensate on the back that drips continually and the metal is actually flaking off. We have no idea how long this has been going on. We only discovered it because of a kitchen remodel.
Meanwhile, it has been dripping down to a wood floor. We could be dealing with mold inside the back panel or eventually on the back of the refrigerator and wall (which I am highly allergic to). We have contacted Electrolux and all that was offered was us contacting another repairman (at our expense). They are not honoring their warranty. I also have an Electrolux stove. A one star rating is drastically too high for a company which I would consider the epitome of 'Worst Customer Service' ever! When we purchased our new home, our builder offered a suite of Electrolux appliances, which appeared to be a good compliment to our home. Fast forward 30 days into our new home and we are already contacting Electrolux to have our new double oven serviced. 1) Temperature settings are not accurate as things cook at different rates every time we use it (Burns one time and then the next it will take twice as long as prescribed). 2) The fan on the top "quiet" oven sounds more like a jet engine spooling up for operation. Both issues were addressed with Electrolux.
First service call - One repair technician shows up and then proceeds to inform us that it is a two person job, thus the service call has to be rescheduled. Next call, technician diagnoses the issues and orders parts. Parts arrive about a week later...another week goes by when I find out from my wife that they did not set up a follow-on appointment, nor have they called to set one up since the parts have arrived. That was the first time that I learned that Electrolux does not even attempt to go the extra mile for their customers. I called Electrolux and set my follow-on appointment...being spoiled by other companies with exceptional customer service cost me weeks in turn around repair time. Follow-on appointment happens and the parts are replaced and supposedly repaired. Oven still spooled up as if the generators were getting ready to come online and bring the aircraft to life and the temperatures settings were still unreliable.
Over the course of my first 10 months, we dealt with this issue multiple times until we hit our breaking point as each time of dealing with the oven repair was mentally and emotionally exhausting with Electrolux. (The process is not smooth...I would say broken, but I don't think it has ever been a well established process.) After the last unsuccessful repair, I contacted Electrolux customer service number to request a replacement oven...the customer service agent pushed back stating that the part would have to be serviced again before replacing. We then had a heart to heart discussion about how we were not going to be inconvenienced for another repair attempt when all of the previous attempts failed. Our request was sent to the "Back Office People" for review for replacement for which he stated we would receive a determination via email in a few days.
Fast forward again a few weeks...I get an email from some random delivery company stating that they were shipping an Electrolux oven to my address. Yes, that is how I found out that Electrolux had decided to replace my oven...in case you are not aware by now, never expect Electrolux North America to ever go the extra mile - aka email you to let you know they are replacing your busted oven. In November 2017, a delivery driver just appeared at our house without a pre-notification and proceeded to deliver our replacement oven. He then proceeded to let our new oven come crashing down on our driveway in front of my wife, who was luckily outside watering our grass at the time. My wife was astonished that the delivery driver continued to deliver the oven...and when approached, he stated that "had she not been out there, he would have dropped it in the garage and left without ever saying a word."
The questionable ethics of the deliver driver spooked my wife into fear that denying the delivery would only mean that shady driver takes oven away only for same company to bring same oven back a few days later. Since November 22nd, 2017 - we have been dealing with Electrolux North America to come to an acceptable solution to have a one for one swap completed. As sadly as it may sound, I have truly learned that Electrolux North America (especially North American Liaison Rita **) could not care less about the customer and their overall experience. All attempts to have the situation addressed with a means that would put their customer at ease...have fallen on deaf ears.
Electrolux customer service, as well as Rita **, will only address a rigid black and white approach of how situations are to be addressed according to a policy and will never apply the "Reasonable Person Theory," which would require them to listen to their customers and understand their concerns with at least the slightest bit of compassion. Recommendation - Do not buy Electrolux appliances or appliances of any of their sister companies. If you need any repairs, you will surely regret ever making that purchase...that I can guarantee.

I contacted Electrolux who stated that they no longer manufacture the part. I contacted the dealer who states that I have recourse but to purchase another oven. There was no help available from Electrolux. Even some price reduction for purchasing a new oven. Disappointed with the entire process.

We bought our current washer and dryer set around 3 years ago. After the first few months the washer EIFLS60LT1 completely failed and needed a new drum, bearing belt and pulley. It was replaced for us. After another few months the exact same problem came up and got fixed under warranty. Now a couple years later the same problem is starting again with failing bearings and also the LCD screen quit working shortly after it was fixed under warranty.

I have had a new $950 dryer that the blower is out on. I have only had the machine for 2 months. They won’t replace the machine. After town ninths, the machine should be replaced and not "worked on". If I had wanted a refurbished machine which this will be once they start replacing parts, I would have bought one and saved the money… NO help from Electrolux except parroting the warranty. DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX! I bought my friend a GE set for half the price–worked just as well with NO problems.

BUYER BEWARE!!! When my boyfriend and I bought our house, we purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer set. Since we purchased them, the washer has leaked into the drawer randomly and the dryer has burned our clothes multiple times. They have replaced the back grate 3 times already and it keeps turning black and burning our clothes. Now it’s been fixed since yesterday and the grate is black again. Upon further research, I’ve found multiple people with the same complaint. Please do not buy anything from Electrolux. Their products suck. Their service sucks. Their accountability sucks. I want a new friggin dryer!!!

We purchased a new washer and dryer and was promised a $200 rebate from Electrolux. The products were purchase late October of 2017 and were delivered early Nov. 2017. We filed for the rebate online as it was supposed to be a “lot quicker”. Several days later, on November 21, we received an email stating that our request was received and that it would take approximately 7 business days to review the claim. The email lists a link to check on the status of the claim. However when you go to the website it is a non-secure website and we get a warning that it is not recommended to open the link. On Dec. 20th we received an email that said the prepaid Citibank MasterCard for $200 was mailed to us and we should receive it within 3 weeks. (Not sure what planet it was mailed from that takes 3 weeks).
The email stated a number to call if we did not receive within the 3 weeks. As of today, 1/15/2018 we have not received the rebate card so my wife, called that number. She was told it was processed on the 11th. When questioned about that he said it was “requested by Electrolux on Jan. 11th. When questioned further he said we should receive it by the 25th of this month. "However if we do not have it by then call back". It is rather obvious that the scam is to not mail the rebate unless the customer complains that they have not received it in the hope that the customer will forget about it. Also obvious is that we are not going to forget about it so hopefully it will actually be sent soon. Of course if and when we get the rebate it is prepaid credit card which I am sure they hope we will lose and not use. We will probably never purchase anything from this company again as they are not trustworthy and we are not comfortable with their sales tactics.

In January, 2017 we purchased the top of the line Electrolux Washer and Gas Dryer. Shortly after the washing machine was installed, water started to leak from under the unit. It flooded our laundry room. A week later a "tech" showed up and diagnosed that a pump was installed incorrectly at the factory. Two weeks later it was replaced. Guess what? It continued to leak. This time I asked for a different tech to come out to ensure he knew what he was doing. He determined it was a different pump that was cracked so another part had to be ordered. By this time I was so upset that I demanded a new machine.
After much negotiation, Electrolux agreed to replace the washer. Now last week, our dryer stopped working. We started to notice about a month ago that it was taking longer to dry clothes. Finally on Jan. 5th exactly one year from when we took delivery, the machine stopped working. I called Electrolux Jan. 8th and they said the one year warranty is up so I have to pay for a service call. The customer service at this company is terrible and they forget who is paying their salaries. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and I urge others to avoid them like the plague!

I purchased my new Electrolux slide in range with the three year warranty including thermal breakage of the glass top. I had the range for just over a month and was simmering vegetables when the glass made a "pop" & then a "crackle" sound. The glass had shattered into flakes and then cracked. Customer service asked me to send pictures which I did. They immediately blamed me and said that I must have dropped something on it. Three months later and after being runaround they now claim that my pot was dirty and stuck to the glass so is not covered by the warranty.

I have a high end Electrolux refrigerator that is only 5 years old. The ice maker rusted through the back of the refrigerator and a softball size lump of ice was sticking out of the rusted area. The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. A refrigerator life expectancy is 14-17 years, making the average 15.5 years. My refrigerator lasted less than 1/3 of the average expectancy and I expected Electrolux to give me 2/3 off my next purchase.
They stated my refrigerator was past warranty. Well Electrolux, this was a KNOWN manufacturer’s defect and you allowed the warranty to expire without informing your consumers. I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldn't be more wrong. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.

I was assisting my sister who had an Electrolux refrigerator that was leaking water at the bottom, in the front. After following the common troubleshooting for this kind of problem, I found that the drain trough was clogged with ice, preventing water from going through the drain tube into the drain pan. To get to the drain trough, I had to take most of the freezer apart-removing the ice maker, removing the housing containing the auger motor and dispenser solenoid, and removing two long metal covers held together by several screws.
Whoever designed this flunked out of engineering school. Just to get to the light bulb, you have to remove the ice maker and the housing with the auger motor. What happened to just placing the light bulb socket on the ceiling, as is done with other refrigerator models? I'm fairly handy with mechanical work, I've built my own computers. This model is set up to make the average user have to call a service tech for the simplest repairs. Stay away from Electrolux, the design is just terrible.

I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!
Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

Terrible customer service, I purchased double electrical range on April 22 2017, for almost 2,00.00, and my issues started. In beginning of September I notice that cooktop of range is starting melt, I called Electrolux, I was asked to send them a pictures, on September 24, 2017 so I did, once get a message that their side is not working, then second time, third time, all the same their site did not worked. Ok something wrong with email or their site. So on October 4, 2017 I decided to sent a pictures again, the same story try few times, the same reply site is not working. I contacted the local technician as per Frigidaire representative advise. Technician came in, made a picture and assure me within few days that he sent it to Frigidaire. Nothing happening. On October 24 again spoke to Frigidaire representative Quintavia and again sent the pictures, as she said that nothing is on my file. Nothing happening.
Again on November 22 I spoke to Mona and again I heard that nothing is on my file, so again I resend the pictures, this time Mona called me back and confirm that she received the pictures and finally I got a case number. I was informed that the technician will have all the information from now. I spoke to technician and he told me that the new cooktop has been order and he is just waiting for its exchange, this was November 26, 2017. On December 5, technician has been still waiting for the part, on December 28 I called the Frigidaire with question when I can expect the repair to happened, and surprise I heard that nothing has been approved or ordered, and the Corporate supervisor told me that nothing can be done until January 3 2018. No apologies, no explanation, they did all properly and it seems to be my fault that I bought that range and that it is faulty.
This is the worst customer service in my long life. It cost me two thousand and hours on the phone, a lot of stress. Frigidaire products are going down with quality, I am not sure, as I have a old fridge and this is one of the best, but for sure their customer service is the worst that happened to me, no one care, I felt like I was intrusion for staff and how dare I complain. If you can avoid please save yourself a lot of stress and time, spend a money with different company and have a less stress.

I bought a new Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot online in November of 2017. The dryer has not worked correctly since it was installed. After contacting Electrolux, they sent a repairman out twice to fix the problem with no resolution. The second time, after taking the dryer completely apart and replacing the motherboard and wiring harness, the dryer won't even run. Electrolux will not replace the dryer and wants more repairs done before even considering a replacement. I bought a new dryer and now it's a used dryer!

I would avoid buying Electrolux refrigerators. They are overpriced and under engineered. My ice maker has never worked since day 1 causing a class action lawsuit against Electrolux. Poor quality caused the display to fail and one of the compressors to fail. This should not happen on a $5000 refrigerator.

Electrolux is the worst appliances I have ever owned. Do not buy these appliances. The refrigerator had a recall and because we did not know about it we did not act on the issue. 18 months later the ice maker went bad on our refrigerator and they said they could not honor the claim. We have spent about $500 for the repairs on this refrigerator and it is only 3 years old. Bad quality, bad service. Nothing good about Electrolux.

We have been in our home for two years and both the Electrolux microwave and dishwasher don’t work. The dishwasher was only used a few times. I would never recommend these products. The repairman came out which we had to pay and he said these products are cheaply made. It’s unbelievable that we have two products only 2 years old and they are trash!
