Our Frigidaire refrigerator thawed out before Christmas. It is under warranty. We called Electrolux to get warranty repair only to find that their warranty repair people in our area would not come out to look at our refrigerator. They told us that it sounded like the compressor was gone and Electrolux would not pay them if they came out to look at it, as none of the repair centers by me works on compressors. We spent many hours on the phone woith Eletrolux and calling around to try to find someone that would do the repair.

It is now January 3rd and Eletrolux failed to provide warranty repair as promised when we purchased this unit. We finally found a warranty center that would come here to look at our refrigerator. We found out the name of this company through our local repair centers and not Electrolux. We called Electrolux and mentioned A@E to them and asked if they would call them for us, as A@E told us when we called that we had to be home between 8am and 5 pm. We told them we worked and needed them to come anytime after 3 pm. An appointment was scheduled and I had to miss work to be home for them. They called me at 11:00 am and told me they would not be sending a service man as promised. They told me that I would have to miss another day of work and they would reschedule me. After seeing all of the complaints about frigidaire on the internet, I started to worry that A@E would come here and not have the parts needed to fix our refrigerator.

I was left no other choice after many days gone by, but to go out and purchase a new refrigerator. Frigidaire did not stand behind their warranty. My refrigerator was under warranty. What good is a warranty if the comapny does not stand behind it? I think they sit back hoping that you will just go out and buy another refrigerator so they don't have to pay anything out to repair the one that carries their name. Do not buy Frigidaire.

I purchased a 1.5 T WAC model Electrolux Air Conditioner in July 2006. The second service on the unit was done 2-07. When we used the AC in May, it started giving some noise. The noise problems have continued since this last servicing. We lodged several complaints and requests to the customer care number. The technician visited two/three times in response. The adjustments were made by the technicians but the problem re-emerges after 1-2 days, always. Due to this we are not been able to enjoy the services of the AC and are forced to undergo sleepless nights. We have also talked to service head on 23-08-07 about our problems. He visited our home on 25-08-07 along with the technician, waited for 10-15 minutes and declared that the AC was working OK and left. They knew that the AC was in warranty they didn't bother to change any part or components. They simply tried to fix the problem temporarily which lasted only for 2-3 days and tried to extend the period so the warranty would not be valid. It is very sad to say that with no fault of mine, I am not getting the proper services of the AC. I now think the decision to purchase an Electrolux AC was one of my biggest mistakes. You are kindly requested to solve our grievance. I will be waiting for your guidance by email.

Purchased Frigidaire Professional Series double-oven stove in May of last year. Soon after, the back right burner would come on by itself.

We purchased Electrolux Icon appliances for our dream kitchen in the summer of 2004.

We love the gas cooktop but the refrigerator, dishwasher and oven have been problematic.

The dishwasher has functioned OK, but the interior so small that moderately tall glassware cannot be washed, and a regular dinner plate blocks the mid-section whirling spray arm. Since you have to lay the plates over at an extreme angle, neither the mid-section nor the lower spray appear to be able to spray the surfaces sufficiently to actually clean the plates.

The fridge icemaker has been repaired three times, with new parts sent each time. After these three repairs and part replacements, it has worked steadily for about four months, but the icemaker bin must be VERY carefully jiggled into place in order for ice to be made. We rarely dump the bin, but each time we do, it is with great trepidation as bin removal has seemed to somehow trigger the need for new parts.

The oven appears to be the coolest thing on earth, with beautiful blue controls, wonderful racks on rollers, etc. Unfortunately, the interior glass exploded thirty minutes into the first cleaning cycle after we had used the oven for about six months. Luckily, I happened to be in the next room and hear the explosion, which resulted in a cascade of hot glass pouring out the bottom of the oven door and melting the hardwood floor finish. It took two weeks to get a part sent. The person who assisted me with the part said they had had one similar complaint.

The person who repaired the oven said many new products are being rushed to market and that he is seeing numerous problems never experienced before.

I have an Electrolux vacuum which is leaving white marks all over my furniture. I have tried to ask for help and they basically say I am misusing my vacuum. There are marks on my big-screen TV, fireplace and TV stand. MY walls are white, so I cover them with paint and you can't see the marks.

Lorraine should stick to vacuuming the floors.
