My husband bought me this 'luxury' brand washer from Electrolux for Christmas. In the 7 months we have owned it, it has stopped working 3 times for the same reason. It needed a new drain pump. Out of the 7 months we have owned it, it has been out of commission for 2months. This last time the customer service rep stated they would replace the unit but when we then spoke with the manager they said absolutely not. They will keep replacing the broken parts and only when they can no longer replace the parts will they consider replacing the unit. They were unconcerned with the fact that we have had to go to a laundry mat for 2 out of the 7 months we owned it. Stay away from this company and their products!!!!

On May 9, 2025, my warrantied wine cooler was declared unrepairable by Electrolux. I have spoken with CSR 10 times to get confirmation of the replacement steps. CSR assures me someone from the Back Office will get back to me in 3-4 working days. It has NEVER happened! DO NOT BUY from Electrolux as they do not honor their warranties.

I bought and paid in full for a new 2025 mobile home. When I came in for my walkthrough I saw the Frigidaire refrigerator had several visible dents and scratches. After reporting it and sending in pictures, I was told they would bring a replacement. Well they did and delivery guy checked the new one and stated to me that it had dents also, so they took it back. This is bad business. If I spent this kind of money I expect everything to be right.

The Frigidaire microwave model FPBM3077RF controls was inoperable. The problem was reported and Electrolux assigned a service ticket (ticket # **). On June 4, 2025 a technician was dispatched and he ordered a new door. On June 11, we received the part ordered and another technician was dispatched on June 26th. When the technician opened the package for the part, it was broken during shipping. He said that he had to reorder the part again and left. The next appointment was setup on July 15th when the technician showed up but the part ordered was still not received. So, he reordered the part and asked to wait 10 days. The part was finally received on July 21st and another tech appointment was setup for July 26th.
On July 26th the tech called at 7:50AM and spoke to me indicating that he was on his way.. An hour later at 8:40am, I got an email from Electrolux that the appointment has been cancelled as the tech tried calling without response. While I was waiting at the apartment, my phone never rang, nor was there any notification of missed call or any voicemail left by the technician. I messaged the technician at the number he called from at 7:50 that morning when I spoke with him and confirmed my presence at the house waiting for his arrival. There was no response.
When I called customer service, they indicated that they don't know why the technician cancelled the appointment. The call log from my phone where it does not show any missed call or voice mail. It is over 45 days since the initial issue and the unit is still not serviced. Now Electrolux has scheduled another appointment on Aug 4th and I am not sure if I would have the same issue of tech cancelling on that day without any warning. This has been the worst experience I have had with Electrolux.

We purchased a washer/dryer through home depot with a warranty through Electrolux. We have had an awful experience with their customer support and warranty. The product arrived with a hole in the drain hose. When someone came to repair it, he said he didn’t have a hose because he wasn’t told that’s where the issue was. We then had to wait for the hose to arrive to our house, which didn’t happen until we called two weeks later to find out it hadn’t even been sent yet. When it did arrive, three weeks later, customer support didn’t schedule our service appointment until the following week. The morning of our appointment, we received a text that the appointment was canceled and rescheduled for the next week.
When we called to ask why, they told us the technician was sick. We asked them to send a different technician as we had been without a washer for almost a month. Customer support was absolutely useless and said there was no other technician and left the appointment for the next week. We ended up fixing it ourselves just to be done with dealing with this awful company.

Two, yes two, Electrolux branded refrigerators went out at two of our properties within a few years of each other costing us many thousands of dollars. I called Electrolux and started a claim (claim# 1003149490). They promised time and time again that "management would look into it and call me". They never did. I called and messaged with them half a dozen times to get the same answer every time. Obviously this is their business tactic. I look forward to NOT buying anything that they make (Electrolux, AEG, Frigidaire, Westinghouse, and Zanussi) in the future knowing this is how they treat customers.

THE worst customer service! They do not honor extended warranty and it’s impossible to speak with a U.S. representative. We had an issue with a dehumidifier; had purchased an extended warranty on it. Supplied all the required documents more than once. Was notified they would send us a gift card to cover cost of replacement; still waiting months later. Even a complaint to the Better Business Bureau didn’t motivate them. I would Never purchase another Frigidaire/Electrolux product again.

I paid Electrolux/Frigidaire for an out-of-warranty cooktop repair and was given order #** and spent over a month without a working cooktop due to their disorganized, slow, and dismissive customer service. I was repeatedly promised that the replacement part was on its way, but it never arrived, and no one contacted me with updates unless I called myself. Then, without notice, they issued a partial refund while keeping part of my payment, despite never completing the repair.
I had to file a BBB complaint and dispute the remaining charge with my credit card company to protect myself. I never received a direct apology or acknowledgment of the stress and inconvenience their broken system caused. Electrolux/Frigidaire needs to improve their repair services and customer communication. Customers deserve better than this. ⸻

Stove is 3 months old, front right knob is loose and stove top not heating. 1 yr warranty confirmed online prior to making an appointment. Technician arrived and gave an estimate of around $200. This stove is under warranty and registered. He didn’t even open the panel to see if it’s internal element issues. He just wanted to get paid extra. So what’s the point of a manufacture warranty for the first year?? Techs are crooks and lazy. The tech that came today in Va Beach tried to take advantage of my 73-year-old father who is a 20-yr Navy vet. Had my husband been there I’m sure he would have fixed the stove instead of looking and trying to swindle money to fix. I regret purchasing a Frigidaire appliance because of their scamming technicians. They don’t honor the warranty.

I have never in my many years of owning multiple fridges and freezers due to a small pet food/treat business I run from my basement, dealt with such negligence in terms of the repair technician sent to repair an appliance. I'm in West Jordan, Utah, and I'm writing this review for the headquarters location since there is nothing showing for Utah, even though the van that showed up was not only scheduled directly through Electrolux, but also has all of the Electrolux business badging.
My freezer started running warm, so I contacted Electrolux and was thrilled to learn about their Fixed Price Repair. It was comforting to know that I would pay a set price and could rest assured that my appliance would be repaired for that price - no surprises... Or so I thought. When the technician was done with the repair, I later went downstairs to start moving tables and other various furniture back to the original location since it all had to be moved to provide enough space for the tech to safely and comfortably work. When I started moving things, I quickly realized that there was an oily soot ash fallout covering literally every surface throughout the ENTIRE basement space of main entry, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and two bedrooms. I spent over 5 hours cleaning everything so I could safely resume my business the next morning. My packing/bagging table is permanently stained from all the soot, and looks absolutely terrible.
I reached out on Facebook, just to be told I could receive 20% off parts for the repair! Clearly a copy and paste response without taking the time to review all of the information I provided, along with photos. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I have dealt with enough freezer repairs to know that the soot was due to improper torch technique and should never have happened.
I would expect some fair compensation to help offset the damage to my table and many hours of time, but instead I get offered 20% off something I've already paid for. Then when I respond asking them to please not waste my time and actually read my message that clearly states what happened and that I've already paid for and had the service done, I get a response saying that they will report the technician, the soot can easily be cleaned, and the damages were unintentional. Intentional or not, my table is permanently stained and won't come clean. It's a standard folding table - nothing expensive or fancy, but was damaged by a company that I paid to come to my home to help me with a repair. Asking for them to cover the cost to replace the table is more than reasonable.

I purchased a top freezer refrigerator on 11/13/24 with a one-year warranty. On June 25, it shut down in less than 8 months. My earliest appt for service (Goodman Home Solution) is not until July 14. Tried to get an earlier appt, but to no avail. In the interim, all of my food is being kept in several coolers. I'm buying ice every day! There is nothing in place with Electrolux where I can get a temporary replacement until my service date of July 14. (The customer service rep did mention that with the "Extended Warranty", I would be compensated for food loss. She pushed so hard for this warranty that I became very irritated). I should not be inconvenienced because of a defective refrigerator that's still under warranty. I feel like I bought a lemon! Also contacted Frigidaire.

I bought this Electrolux Vacuum on April 23,2025. I received and was very happy it was delivered on time, after using for a few days I noticed it wouldn’t hold the charge, not even finish vacuuming my bedroom.. I started getting very frustrated so I called Electrolux before the 30 days policy and explained to the lady the issue with this vacuum, she responded: "So are you putting the vacuum on low, medium, or high speed?" I responded on High Speed because I bought since it advertise it was very good to vacuum dog hair! And the customer service lady responds: "Oh I see why you’re having problems with your battery not holding charge, it’s because you’re not suppose to put it on high speed because the battery won’t hold on high speed!"
I responded her didn’t seem right because in that case they should not even put high speed on the vacuum or at least they should include that issue in their advertisement so customers can read that big issue and decide if they want to buy this piece of shit worthless vacuum, because not to mention low & medium speed don’t pickup dust or hairs like the high speed does but will only last you no more than 3 minutes! So I asked for refund or exchange for another one.. they told me to take the model # tag of it and throw it away and I had to this via video chat online so they could make sure I took it off and disposed the tag.
They then gave a ticket number and I would get another one soon. Which was a big fat lie! I have not received another vacuum which I doubt is so hard to send a good working (that works on high speed) nor have I received my refund back!! I’m kind of concern about they wanting me to take the model & serial number of the vacuum and making sure it didn’t have it on?? Are they selling us some other junk that is not Electrolux!??
Also I’ve been calling to check why they haven’t sent my the vacuum or my refund what I paid and every time whoever answers tells me: "Ok let me put you to the right dep't." After asking for my ‘ticket # then phone rings, say your call will be answer in less then 1 min. Well I’ve waited over 1 hour and no one picks up and if they do, once I explain I want to know the status of my order and give my tel # as they ask whomever answers will say: "Hold on. Let me check," and phone hangs up!!
Also I’ve sent many emails and they don’t respond! I will take further action with so called Electrolux and also Frigidaire Co. Because something seems not right. Not to mention while I’m writing this review I was on the phone with them, finally a male answer, ask me for my account phone #. He said hold on, he came back, ask for my address and full name again. He said, "Thank you. Please hold so I can check," and phone hung up. 2 hours waiting for this!! SMH.

None of the dishes are ever dry. Not a single one. Please do not expect it to actually dry your dishes because it will not. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!! All the “overseas” rep could do is refer my ticket to a locator rep within their company to find a “partner” to do the repair. Was told it would take 3-5 days. I called back over 20 times and even gave them all the contact information for the service tech at the appliance store where it was purchased, but still no response! Told me they could not refer me to the locator tech or to corporate headquarters as they could only assign the ticket to the rep within their system. We set up a service call for our dishwasher and washer due to the control panel on the dishwasher needing to be replaced and our washer machine leaking water from the bottom of the unit. The first service call was set up for 5/20 (WO# **). The technician arrived and advised that he would need to order parts for the dishwasher but that the washer parts should be available. The technician then sent us an email to schedule the follow-up appointment for WO#**/ ** which got scheduled for 6/4. The service technician arrived, and we only had 1 replacement part for the washer and was apparently still pending 3 other pieces. So that service call was a complete waste of my husband’s time and mine. My husband works 3rd shift and needs to sleep during the day. My husband then called once we received the last piece for the washer to set up both units and the CSR advised that both units were on schedule for 6/12.
The technician called today to say that he was on his way, and I asked to confirm that both the dishwasher and washer were being completed today and he advised that only the dishwasher was on the schedule. Again, your team of customer service representatives have let us down. We called again to find out what was going on with the service call and the breakdown in communication and my husband was told again by your service CSR, that the service for both units would be guaranteed for tomorrow 6/13. Now after calling 2 different phone numbers, speaking with 4 different people, being hung up on, lied to and given the run around, we are now told that the soonest appointment is 6/17. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! We have been without our washer machine for almost 1 month. Each time that the appointment failed, it was due to your company’s inability to provide good customer service to your customer.
It is pathetic that it should take 3 services call to get our appliances fixed and all of them failed. All wastes of our time. Now I have called twice to speak with a manager to get this resolved, and I have waited a collective hour on hold for a manager to take my call. Now I’m on the wait list for a manager to call me back about the poor service experience I have had. Let’s see if they really call me. I wouldn’t hold my breath. I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received through Frigidaire/Electrolux’s extended warranty. I own a rental property in Virginia (I live in California), and when my tenant, a mother with a young child, reported that the Frigidaire refrigerator (Model #FFHS2622MS) had stopped cooling, I expected a timely and professional response. Instead, what followed was nearly three weeks of poor communication, missed appointments, and a complete lack of urgency or accountability.
Despite giving clear instructions to contact the tenant directly, the technician called me instead, couldn’t access the property, and left. A second appointment was confirmed but never honored, apparently “scheduled by mistake.” The third visit finally happened a week later, only to be told parts were needed, with no clear timeline.
With no alternative solution offered (like a loaner fridge), I was forced to purchase a new refrigerator myself just to ensure my tenant had a livable situation. The service experience was frustrating, impersonal, and far below the standard expected from a company like Frigidaire/Electrolux. I’m requesting a refund for the warranty and will be reconsidering this brand for any future appliance purchases. This entire process was unnecessarily stressful and completely mishandled. — Cynta L.

I strongly suggest if you are buying a refrigerator, you buy from a local company who can provide local service. Electrolux is not that company. I made many calls to Electrolux for service on a Frigidaire freezer. The companies used by Electrolux would not provide service for two days. On the day of my first appointment, I was texted to say the technician had vehicle trouble. I made many more calls. Finally talked to one Electrolux representative who called several local service companies and located one that would come the next day. I received an email from that company saying I needed to confirm my appointment. When I did that, they told me my appointment was cancelled. The experience has been frustrating and disappointing, with poor product quality and ineffective service which is unacceptable. I advise considering other brands with better quality and support. Electrolux needs significant improvements to maintain consumer trust. Their product is expensive and lacks quality and their service is a joke. Buying Electrolux is like wasting your money, you get low quality product, low-quality customer service, poor satisfaction while paying a lot. Next he turns on my oven, barely lets it heat up and says -- a part is broken. I ask him how he knows that since he didn't even pull the oven out of the wall, look at the electrical panel or anything. He orders a part and tells me it will arrive in 1 week.
A second guy comes out a week later with an 8-12 pm window and arrives at 2 pm and tells me that part isn't broken and tells me to hire an electrician that there is something wrong with the wiring. I bring an electrician out and nothing is wrong with the wiring. They have now wasted so much of my time with two horribly scheduled appointments. I ask Electrolux for my money back. If I could give Electrolux zero stars, I would. After owning this fridge for just 2.5 years, the freezer failed the day before Christmas Eve—at the worst possible time. Electrolux's response? The earliest they could send a technician was December 31st. Things went from bad to worse when the fridge also failed on Boxing Day, forcing us to throw away over $400 worth of food. When the tech finally arrived on the 31st, they replaced the control panel, shrugged, and left, saying to call back if it didn’t work after six hours. Surprise, surprise—it didn’t. But Electrolux was conveniently closed until the new year, leaving us stranded without a functioning fridge for days.
Thankfully, Harvey Norman (where we purchased the fridge) stepped in to handle the mess Electrolux created. Their service was stellar—unlike Electrolux’s. The same tech came back, only to reveal the compressor had failed. Why this wasn’t diagnosed on the first visit is beyond me. Electrolux’s negligence left us without a fridge for nine days, and their “customer service” was an exercise in frustration. I requested a store credit instead of a replacement fridge, they claimed it would take another two business days to process—on a Friday, no less. Fed up, I turned back to Harvey Norman, who sorted it out and arranged for a new fridge (NOT Electrolux) to be delivered the next day.
Electrolux’s customer service is abysmal, their products are unreliable, and their wait times for technicians are unacceptable. A fridge that costs this much shouldn’t fail after 2.5 years. I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product and would strongly advise anyone reading this to steer clear. They don’t deserve your money—or your patience.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we've received from your company. We purchased a washer and dryer for our tenants, who have two young children under 20 months old. The washer malfunctioned four months ago, and despite numerous attempts, it remains unfixed. Three different technicians have visited, each providing different diagnoses. Each time, appointments have been scheduled and subsequently canceled on the day of service, causing significant disruption.
Today, after finally acquiring the necessary parts, our appointment was again canceled at the last minute. This repeated inconvenience forces my tenants and myself to take time off work, only to be let down. Additionally, my tenants, who have to manage two young children, are burdened with the cost and effort of using a laundromat. As a parent, you can imagine the difficulty of transporting two children under 20 months and laundry to a laundromat. I request an immediate resolution, whether it be a new washer or a prompt repair. Additionally, I am seeking reimbursement for the multiple missed workdays, laundromat fees, and time spent. I have posted this online after numerous calls to your service number, which resulted in only speaking to representatives with no real authority to resolve the issue. I operate a small business and would never give my clients poor service.

I had to call multiple time to get status on my order and when it was finally ready to be delivered, their delivery company cancelled the delivery stating that the order was cancelled by me, the customer! Literally a nightmare for service, do not buy anything from this company. We got E11 error code on our Washing Machine. We got online and followed Electrolux's web page instructions - paid $99 in advance, and set an appointment for a Wed (9am to 5 pm) - the tech did not show up, but did try to call us at around 8 pm (did not leave message). We called him on Thursday, Tech never gave an excuse why he did not show up after we paid $99 in advance, or offer an apology - nothing. Because we just wanted our washing machine fixed, we just overlooked it.
After he "fix" our washing machine, and we paid an additional $495 for the call (did not include the $99 pre call fee), he left and my wife loaded some laundry, the machine leaked so much water it flooded our floor. We had to use the dirty clothes to mop up the floor. We call Electrolux help line, they were WORTHLESS and very unprofessional- mitigation might be the lady, who FINALY took our call (after we had to play AI forwarding game) had a heavy accent and seem to have difficulty with English.
Luckily, we had the tech phone number, called him directly. Said he would come back sometime today (something the Lady representing Electrolux help desk stated firmly that the tech would not be allowed to do) to fix his $594 screwup. It has been over 5 hours since our call to the tech, and his promise to come back and fix it – he has not shown up, and he is no longer answering his phone.

In just over a month, the washer door cannot lock to close. Electrolux had an appliance service company to repair my brand-new Electrolux washer under the manufacture's warranty. The company scheduled a technician’s visit to my house.
Two days later, a technician came to do the work. After spending about 10 minutes on inspecting the door issue, the technician told me the door lock needs to be replaced. However, it will take about 2 weeks to order the part. Once the part arrives, then they will call me to schedule a time for them to come to replace the malfunctional door lock. I recently purchased an Electrolux ELFE7637AT dryer and ELFE7537AT washer after reading very positive online reviews. My experience has thus far been poor with both appliance performance and Electrolux customer service. The dryer wasn't drying clothes on first use, leaving them either damp allover or having isolated wet spots. I called for service. A combo of terrible phone clarity combined with the accents of the service reps makes for a lot of confusion and errors in scheduling and communication. The tech that showed up broke my dryer.
Electrolux scheduled a second visit with another company (a Sears affiliate) that was even worse from a call clarity and communication perspective. They scheduled a tech to come by without telling me, so needless to say I missed that service call because no one was home. For the second tech visit, I got a call from the tech at 9am saying he was on his way, but 2 hours and a couple of calls later, and he's still a no show. Customer service said keep waiting. The washing machine seemed ok at first, but doesn't wash or rinse clothes out well. Clothes still smell and have marks where detergent wasn't rinsed out, despite washing a second time immediately after the first. Laundry is also very stiff on air drying (which I had to do because the dryer is down), to the point where everything seems starched. I'm hesitant to call for service on the washer, given my experience with the dryer.
I also recently realized that Frigidaire and Electrolux are the same company. I bought a portable heater/air conditioner last year that was having performance problems. Every replacement they send me (we're up to 4 now) has come in damaged or doesn't work as expected. The customer service is slightly better on the Frigidaire side, but still not great. It is very difficult to get ahold of someone to address the issues or provide a satisfactory resolution to the issues. I regret my purchases, and seem to be stuck with these subpar appliances. Google the model numbers and you'll see they are priced on the high end. I expect a significantly superior product based on the price and reviews, but that's not at all what you get. Shame on those trusted sources who gave these items good reviews.

A week after our warranty expired, the drum blew off the hinges and broke many parts inside (we did not know at this time that multiple parts broke). The drum is a lifetime warranty, not for labor. No problem. It took 3 weeks to get the part, so the team was nice enough to cover labor after I had to beg for it. The tech came out to install the drum and found that many parts were broken from the drum breaking off. It took over 4 hours of my time, I was hung up on twice (THE RUDEST AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER DEALT WITH), and lied to through the chat.
They promised to cover the additional parts as long as I paid for labor, no problem. When my appliance repair team called, they lied and told them that I need to pay for them. I only used the unit continuously for three or four weeks and the coils start to freeze which has to be a new record for dehumidifiers. Electrolux refused to refund my money but offered to send a replacement unit that would pick up with the same warranty I had when I purchased the original unit which means with the replacement the warranty will run out 03/06/2025. I sent Electrolux all the required paperwork for the replacement unit on 07/07/2024 and the email said I should receive the new replacement unit within 10 days.

I knew at this point I was being told nothing but a lie and Electrolux had no intention of sending me a replacement unit. Electrolux has gone past any time frame that they set to get me the replacement unit and to get any information from their pathetic customer service is a joke. Electrolux is just trying to run out the clock on my warranty so that they can say the warranty is legitimately out of date or give me no time to see if the replacement unit is an absolute piece of trash like the initial dehumidifier I got. My experience purchasing appliances (dishwasher and electric range) from Electrolux store front has been nothing but a worst nightmare. I placed my order back in December (**). My delivery was scheduled for 1/12 and my electric range came in damaged so the installer/delivery service took it back to get a replacement. They took my old range (that was part of a haul-away that I also paid for) on 1/12. Now, I have no range at my house for over 2 weeks now. I’ve called multiple times to the customer service and no one is giving me any updates on my order. Lisa (customer service manager) never got back to me after calling numerous times. This is the most awful experience I ever had as a customer.

I purchased a new build home with an Electrolux Refrigerator FPRU19F8RFF in March 2020. 3 years later, I have a problem with the fridge and called customer service. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem is with the control board. He ordered the part and said when it's delivered, they will come back to install it. 1 month later, the part had not arrived yet. I first time I called Customer Support for an update on the part, they informed me that it's still on back order with no ETA posted. They instructed me to call back in about a week for another update. The second time I called, I got the same response as the first. However, this time, they told me if parts aren't available by the next time I call, they would send me a new replacement fridge.
The third time I called, they tell me the parts is no longer available and that they would only be able to issue me a rebate ($ off towards the purchase of another fridge). Upset and unwilling to settle, I asked to speak to a supervisor. The customer rep while transferring me somehow got disconnected. Upset, I called back and having to go through the whole ordeal again with a new representative. This time, I asked them to call me back if we were to get disconnected. That representative apologized and assured me that they will call me if they're disconnected while transferring me to a supervisor. I got disconnected another 2 more times.
Only during the 4th all that morning did I finally speak with a supervisor. At first she tried to push me to taking a 20% then 40% rebate towards purchasing a new fridge. I told her about the 2nd representative who informed me that if the part's not available, Electrolux will send me a new refrigerator. After a long conversation, the supervisor finally conceded to issuing a new refrigerator because parts are no longer available for my 3 year old fridge. A brand new high end refrigerator without available parts is unacceptable. It seems like they're scheming consumers to purchasing a new model every few years.

10 days before our Electrolux clothes dryer turned 2 years old, the main power module failed. The service technician informed me that the module and entire wiring harness needed to be replaced so he ordered and installed one. Electrolux are now refusing to honor the 2 years parts warranty and pay for this $350 part because we did not contact them first. Very poor customer support. I will also mention that this dryer has had minimal use as we hang our laundry outside to dry from May to October and then for the remainder of the year only use the dryer 2-3 times per week. I'll never buy another Electrolux product again.

Bought a new range in 4/2023. In 10/2023 range caught fire in my house. Spent hours on phone and finally got someone to send a technician out 1 week later to determine what we already. Range is unrepairable. Now the games have begun. Electrolux is claiming the technician deleted the case so it was resubmitted but still no documentation. I have spent around 8 hours on the phone (mostly on hold). This is by far the worst customer service in the history of customer service, despite the fact that there’s an obvious language barrier, no one seems to do anything regarding my issue until I actually get to speak with someone and most of the time they put me on hold so long that the survey comes on, which I honestly answer and the call gets disconnected.
The overwhelming response from them is, "We will call you back in 24 hours," which never happens. I struggle to wonder if I wasn’t a firefighter and home at the time how this really could’ve turned out. I’m only asking for them to honor their end of warranty for a 6 month old range that was determined defective not only by their technician but by the fire department as well. I’m not at all concerned about their inability to get documentation from their own contractor or what “back office “ needs to review. This is a clear cut case of a defective product and my only course of action is legal action. Caveat Emptor.

Bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and got it delivered 09/2022. Early 10/2023, we get a high-temperature alert on our freezer and call a service tech out. Exactly 12 months and 18 days past the date of delivery, he confirms a refrigerant leak. A tiny, tiny pinhole that has been leaking refrigerant well within the 1-year warranty, most likely a defect during the manufacturing process. Tech says it will be about $1,500 to fix (half the cost of the fridge new) IF we’re lucky. If the leak is in the wall, we’re best off just buying a new fridge. Call Frigidaire/Electrolux who claims “so sorry” because we didn’t catch the leak during the 12-month window. Hours of arguing with customer service, we finally get a concession for them to pay for the labor to get it fixed. They put in a rush and someone will call in 1-2 business days.
(Side note: English is not the first language of anyone we speak to which shouldn’t matter…but kind of does. Not in a xenophobic/American superiority way but it just feels like customer service matters a little more when it’s your neighbor and not someone a full ocean away. If I lived in India, I would prefer to speak to an Indian customer service rep. But I digress.)
3 business days go by and, because our freezer is beeping for 5 minutes every ½ hour or so, we call again. Another hour on the phone and we get another rush request. Someone will call in 2-3 business days. We go through this process one more time. Now two weeks out from our original call, I try chatting with Frigidaire/Electrolux. I’m told at this time that their concession for labor expires in a month from the original call…despite them burning up half that time not getting us in touch with a tech 3 separate times. Only after threatening legal action and complaints to various regulatory bodies do I get the number for a service tech in our area.
Call the service tech who very nicely says “We don’t service your area. We’ve told that to Electrolux every time they’ve tried to schedule with us.”. Get back in touch with Frigidaire/Electrolux who basically says “So sorry. That’s the only tech we have”. They insist that they’ve done their part by providing us with a labor concession with a service provider (who cannot provide us service). They end the discussion before saying “Anything else I can help you with today?”. Customer service is dead and it’s a rotting, bloated corpse.

We ordered an Electrolux dishwasher recently. We paid a $120 surcharge for installation and removal of the old unit. I had carefully measured the space and was sure the new unit would fit. The installers arrived, said the unit would not fit, said they couldn't even take the old unit out without cutting it up which they were unwilling to do. They left the new unit sitting in our dining room, left our kitchen a mess, and just plain left. The Electrolux customer service rep, having been told all this, replied with "Do you want a refund of the installation fee." Yes, very helpful. Thanks. We called our plumber who removed the old unit (but had to leave it in the alley as he doesn't have disposal facilities) and installed the new one. Everything fit fine. No cutting up of anything was required and the new unit is working rather nicely.
We're out the $400 we had to pay our plumber to do the job Electrolux was supposed to do. We can't actually seem to get the original installation fee refunded and my wife has spent hours on the phone getting a run around and being told they will call back, which they never do, and we yet have to pay to dispose of the old unit, all of which was supposed to be done by Electrolux. I think they should pay our plumber and for the disposal as it is not our fault they didn't send competent installers. At the very least I want our installation fee back. I don't know how to repay my wife for the hours spent on the phone with them getting nowhere. Bottom line: Electrolux customer service is a nightmare.

The second installers (2) supposedly installed the dishwasher, but did not test it. There was not even any power to the appliance, and they left our home making racist comments about the prior installers. The third time we had technicians in our home was to remove the dishwasher because we were DONE! Honestly, I’m not totally sure how to review this product. We had this installed in our new-build home 17 months ago. First, it is beautiful. I love the space, the drawers, two ice makers… love. BUT my stress comes in now because we had someone in to check on some noises heard a couple months in. We asked some questions about food freezing in the back of the fridge part. We asked about our lower ice maker being sooooo slow and sometimes stopping for a while. We were told it was all just how the fridge works.
We were frustrated but assumed the guy knew what he was talking about. And now here we are, 17 months in so, of course, the warranty is up, and we have to replace the thermistor, the lower ice maker and a whole tower that helps regulate the temperature. So we have to put half the cost of the fridge back into it already and that seems ridiculous. So while we love(d) the fridge, we are SO frustrated by this situation. It feels like this is not a quality product… as much as it looks like one. It’s disappointing.

We bought an Electrolux wall oven 5 years ago. At 4.5 years the element and fan needed to be changed. At 5 years the control panel completely died. For almost a month I chased customer service to fix our oven. I wrote 2 complaints on their website with no response. I rang the customer line over 8 times. I spent hours and hours on hold. I received two callbacks that came at a time I was unable to answer so I had to wait on line for ages again just to get through. After waiting a week for a technician to come out, we were told the part needed to be ordered and would be another week. A week later, we were called 20 mins before his arrival to tell us it would be over $650 to fix including the call out. I refused to pay this amount. The oven is only 5 years old.
I was told by customer service that because it was 5 years old then parts would breakdown and that I was not obligated to get them to fix it and could find help elsewhere! What a joke! Who buys an oven to last just 5 years!! I told them that after 2.5 weeks without an oven and multiple calls and complaints and emails I would not pay this amount. They agreed to a staff discount amount, however, the part needed to be ordered AGAIN (despite the fact the technician had it in his van ready to install that day), and then once the part arrived we would need to arrange an appointment for a technician again, so another week would go by with no oven.
At 3.5 weeks we finally had the technician fix the oven. After my first couple of calls, I insisted on speaking to a manager about this matter, however, despite my complaint being "escalated" not once was I referred to a manager. I was told at one point to go out on the weekend and buy a new oven and they would give us a $600 discount! Not only would I NEVER buy Electrolux again, I also did not have an easy $2000- $3000 laying around to buy a new oven this weekend and pay for installation! What a complete joke! Not once did Electrolux care about the customer. Not once did they make it convenient of us. Not once did they escalate my matter to a manager.
This company needs a serious look at their practices and a huge overhaul of their customer service line. I told they could not transfer me to the manager because they do not have the phone facility to do so! I was also told that even if that first technician installed the new control panel he had in his van, that I would have to pay full price. Why, should I the customer, chase all of this up because they do not have the correct technology or facilities to do what is convenient and right by their customer? They are a HUGE company selling electrical goods but do not have the most basic facilities to transfer phone calls or arrange for a reduced price with their technicians. NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX.

He tested and replaced the inverter. Turns out the distributor, who Electrolux licenses had the wrong part. They said it was Electrolux who gave them the info on it. Electrolux refuses blame. They were going to send a tech, I booked a day off work and they didn't show up. They then passed me off to an "approved" service company and I'm still waiting - going on two weeks. Be prepared to pay $135 with tax. :( They booked a service provider that was not covering my area, so I had to call again and when I told the customer support about this, he pretended he can't hear me and hung up on me. So I had to call again. I am very frustrated with the customer service as well as with the payment I have to make even if the appliance is in warranty. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times.
At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now he's trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. After several weeks (the freezer had now stopped working) the door and gasket where delivered. The service man never returned or answered my calls. I called electrolux. After several weeks, 3 or 4 I called the service company and they told me that one of the parts was on back order. After 6 months the part came in. A month before I plugged in the freezer and it started working. Still frosted up and no light. The service man returned and after about 30 minutes he said it needed another part. He was not using the part we had waited over 6 months to get. A week later he returned, put some shims in the original door and everything worked right. Not end of story. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. It's a good thing we didn't do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.
Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product don't get together and go after them. We purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in April of 2019 because our plumber installed the washer connection on the right side of our laundry room. Electrolux was the only system that offered a reversible door on the washer. We have owned an LG washer and dryer since 2005 and like that brand, but were stuck with the situation. The dryer is a stunning example of lousy engineering and lousy quality control. The door ledge is deep, so the spinning motion of the dryer dumps lighter-weight clothes like socks and T-shirts onto the ledge, which covers the lint filter opening which causes poor air circulation. To fix that, the company installed a larger vane that apparently tries to fix the problem by scooping the clothes off the filter. It works with larger items, not with smaller.
The second failure is the moisture sensor, which sits near the lint filter, facing up. It is fairly large. Since the clothes do not properly circulate in the dryer and end up on top of the lint filter, they end up on top of the moisture sensor. The wet clothes stay in circulation because they are heavier. The lighter clothes that dry faster end up falling on the lint filter and sensor, so the dryer thinks the load is dry and signals the end of cycle. We often have to run three or more cycles to dry the clothes.
The electronic control board failed within a few months of the dryer being installed. The touch sensors would not work. When the service tech came out to replace it, he said that it was a common problem with the machines, and demonstrated sliding a finger across the button we wanted to active when the panel stopped responding. He also suggested using the timed drying feature rather than the sensor options because of the poor design of the sensor. He replace the panel, which then failed again about 6 months later. This time, the timed option stopped working; it's stuck on 30 minutes. A few weeks ago, the washer decided to join in the fray. It will not dispense fabric softener. Apparently the control that turns on the water spray over the dispenser is not working, so we have a cup full of softener sitting there.
In 15 years of owning LG appliances (the first set from 2005 to 2016, the second set from 2106 to now - both are in our primary home) we have had more service calls on the Electrolux garbage in 18 months of service than 15 years for LG. We begged Electrolux to take the appliances back, but they refused. It appears that their primary profit comes from selling extended warranty service, which costs a significant percentage of the original purchase price. Bottom line: Electrolux products should stay in the showroom, not in your laundry room.

Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT can't find the information and can't help me that I need to call another dept.
I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they don't know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues "today". Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. It's time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who don't care to provide care.

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.
The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not.
The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times.
You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we don't replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

The handle on our Microwave/hood broke one year ago and was replaced under an extended warranty. It broke again, same exact place as the first one less than a year in use by a household of two. No warranty coverage this time. When I contacted C/S their response was “I’ll be happy to schedule a service call, however it will be at your expense. I push back and the best I could do was a 50% discount on the part." When done I will spend approx 225.00 for parts and labor. When I questioned the possibility of a design problem, I was told that if there was they would have heard of it... Terrible design, terrible C/S answer, terrible Corp approach to a problem. This microwave was not inexpensive but the parts may well be of poor quality. I can’t not recommend Electrolux at this time.

I purchased a brand new built-in style Electrolux refrigerator and it arrived dead. A repair company sent by Electrolux identified the problem being there was no refrigerant, he then told me that my compressor will fail most likely within a year because it was run for a short time without the refrigerant and contaminated. Electrolux is fine to deliver dead products to their customers and will only offer to do repairs - not replace the fridge for a new one. Unfortunately, my compressor may fail outside of the warranty period and despite this being part of the refrigerant problem I will be forced to pay. I will never buy Electrolux products ever again.

In a year and a half we have had every single part replaced in our fridge and actually have had the entire fridge replaced. The fridge freezes your food - period. They customer service have stated that the fridge is operating as it was designed. You must strategically place your food in the fridge. It cannot be near the back part of the fridge - that is by design. That was not in the brochure. That being said you loose about 3" of space in your fridge, otherwise your food freezes. And yes if you place a glass of water near the back - it freezes. I have plenty of pictures to show. Poor design, poor customer experience. If you want a freezer I guess buy from this company but don't buy a fridge. Thank goodness I have a real fridge in my garage.

I have been offered a goodwill warranty service but in David's interpretation, it is a charity job for him. This is not the first time he made this comment, he said it before on his second visit, mentioning that I get the service for free and so I should spent some money to do rest of the job or do it by myself! So he walked off without testing the product. So the dishwasher still doesn't work. He was very abrupt, rude, not listening to me, and talked on top of me which was really depressing. He said it would take 5 days to come in. 16 days later they called and scheduled the appointment for the following week. I said, "I scheduled for it and you are a place of business. I have plans for the afternoon and now we will have to reschedule again." I was so upset. He just said ok and hung up on me.
I called Electrolux, and spoke with Monique, whose voice was "I just don't care, nothing we can do. So sorry about your bad luck", short and uncaring. I asked to speak to her supervisor Bracey. She told me she will get back to me in 2 business days. I told her I wanted to know what they are going to do about this. This is poor customer service. She didn't care. We will send it to the complaint department. I asked to speak to the complaint department and she said, "Well we don't allow people to talk to them. We purchased our refrigerator 4.5 years ago for $925. Though everything still looks and sounds ok, it has stopped cooling and the compressor at the bottom rear gets really hot. There is apparently a 5 year warranty on the sealed unit. After several phone calls, these are the hoops we would be expected to jump through: Not just any licensed refrigeration technician will do (since we already had one look at it). We would need an authorized servicer to come and verify if it is the sealed unit that has failed. The authorized servicer would charge us and it would not be covered by Electrolux (they say they cover materials only, not labor).
That said, if the authorized servicer determined that the sealed unit had failed, the compressor and the evaporator are both obsolete items not available from Electrolux, so they don't actually cover the materials. Instead, Electrolux would offer us a 10% rebate toward a new refrigerator (presumably once we purchased it from them?) So the warranty is useless and we won't be doing any of this.

This appliance was a replacement for the first one I had purchased that failed and I was lucky enough to have paid for an extended warranty. I was told that the freezer problem mine was experiencing was addressed in the newer model and was no longer an issue. Now, 5 years later, the same thing has happened again: leaking seals into the freezer from the fridge compartment, causing the ice to turn to blocks in the motor which continues to grind, extreme leaking and rust on the outside back of the fridge, and, as told to me by my repair person, the entire refrigerator will eventually fail due to the motor issue.
In speaking to Electrolux, they do not stand behind this. My appliance is 5 years old (I would expect for this very expensive appliance to last at least 3 times as long) and I did not buy the expensive additional warranty, so they will do nothing for me except offer a 20% discount on yet another refrigerator of the same make. Why would I ever want this product from them again?
I do not advise anyone to fall for their fancy chrome exterior (which of course does not wrap around to the back to provide rust proofing). I was told that they no longer sell this exact appliance because due to this major defect. This acknowledges that they did sell faulty products but choose not to be responsible to their unfortunate customers. In my experience they market as a high-end brand but the performance does not stand up to their reputation, and they do not stand behind what they are selling.

My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to "high" with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.
I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electrolux's website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.
I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldn't you be? I am contacting the AG's office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

We first bought an Electrolux Icon French style (2 doors, bottom freezer) 6 years ago as part of a kitchen reno, along with matching wall ovens. From day one the ice maker had nothing but problems - service calls every few months. They did do 1 repair after the warranty expired. The next time I called they offered to replace the fridge "at cost", and we agreed as we wanted to maintain the look of the kitchen.
The ice maker on this unit worked, but after about a year the unit appeared to lose its mind and would randomly give high temp warnings, and then be OK for a day or two. Service tech "diagnosed" ice build up in the freezer and evaporator and recommended a full defrost. We did that and it was OK for few months, then happened again. This repeated 6 months later, and now again for the 3rd time. This time I pulled out the usin and noticed a huge patch of rust on the stainless steel back plate right behind the ice maker. So, looks like the ice maker has an internal leak, which builds up as ice inside the unit and eventually screws with the temp sensors. The door gasket is also now disintegrating. Bottom line - these people do not know how to design or build reliable refrigerators. They are quite literally junk. The ovens have been great though :).

I asked, then how many days before I would be able to get service. He basically gave me the impression I should be glad that he elevated my request. I gave it some thought, looked in my yellow pages and noted tons of refrigerator repairmen. Called Electrolux back and asked if I should find someone to service my refrigerator would they reimburse? They said I would need to pay the service tech, submit the bill to Electrolux and they would determine if they would reimburse, because the repairmen in the area were not designated Frigidaire repairmen. So, here I sit, just thinking what an absolute nightmare and waste of time and money dealing with what appears to be a worthless Electrolux warranty.

SOL on Electrolux products...replaced circuit board 3 times, each time it goes out in less time at 154.00 dollars per board. No help from customer service...before purchasing a new appliance do your due diligence before the purchase!!!

We purchased 4 Electrolux kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range 10 years ago. Wanted all my appliances to match. The range worked except the oven panel on the bottom started to bubble. I called to get it replaced and they told me it wasn't made anymore so I had to live with it. After 2 years the microwave broke and had to replace it, 3 years later the microwave broke again and had to buy another. Then 4 years went by, and the refrigerator broke down completely! Of course, I kept saying - I want them to all match so we bought a new refrigerator. Well about 6 months later, you guessed it, the microwave broke. That was our third one.
When I called to see if it could be fixed or replace the panel found out it was so expensive had to buy another. When speaking to customer support I happen to mention about my oven panel. Said yes, they did have a replacement so I ordered it in February. About a month ago it started to bubble just like the last one. Last week I called them and said had to pay for another. Which I will not do. Have not mentioned my dishwasher because I don't use it!! Sure it would break if I did. Hope you were able to read this long experience. In 10 years I have had 3 microwaves, 2 refrigerators and a oven panel that looks terrible. All Electrolux!!! Terrible!!!
