In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isn't working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge!

When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Life's too short for that!

Shortly after moving, we decided to "upgrade" to an Electrolux French Door refrigerator and their newest and best dishwasher. The retailer that I had purchased it from closed their doors a week later after 50+ years in business and left us with only the manufacturer's warranty since they never paid the company for the extended protection. After several attempts to get the refrigerator repaired, within the original manufacturer warranty, from the time it was delivered in October of 2014 with the dishwasher, until December we had over 5 service calls, 30+ phone calls and emails, and over 2 hours of video documenting the problems they refused to replace it, insisting they have the right to exhaust all efforts to fix it, at my inconvenience and expense apparently.

I even offered to pay any difference in model to try to expedite a return if that was a holdup. I gave them one more opportunity to pick it up, I had already purchased another refrigerator. I suggested that since they keep insisting it still could be repairable although no one can come up with any solutions, that they pick it up, fix it, and donate it to a shelter of their choosing. "We don't do that" is all I heard. I refused to go into another holiday with this incessant noise issue. I scrapped the fridge (yes actually) and replaced it with a Samsung that has required no service.

Now the dishwasher, that has already had 2 service calls in just under 16 months is not functioning again and again I am without the appliance I paid over $800 for and am waiting on a repair and will see just how long parts will take this time. We did not opt to extend the warranty since it only continues to feed the beast that really could care less about its end users. If this becomes an issue, I know that I will be replacing it within the month.

The moral of the story is, if you do not have the time to have non functioning appliances or the money to replace them when you have no alternative since the Electrolux Company really doesn't care if they lose customers, DO not buy this brand. I cannot stress enough how much I regret these purchases and the amount of energy expended. As I tried to get them to understand, these are appliances, I should not have to think about them or expend energy on them, they should just work until they don't and then they get replaced. If we are happy with the performance we are more likely to keep in the same brand. I repeat, Electrolux - they just do not care!

We purchased an Electrolux French Door refrigerator, Dual In-Wall Oven, Overhead Microwave, and Dishwasher. The first to fail was the refrigerator, which could not make ice. Then the dual in-wall oven board failed, then the Microwave display, and finally the dishwasher which wouldn't clean dishes properly or dry them. The refrigerator ice maker failed twice more, the microwave a second time (we replaced it with GE), and the dishwasher won't clean and dry today despite using the highest clean and heated dry settings. Some of these were fixed under warranty, others under an extended warranty.

I will never buy another Electrolux or Frigidaire product, and every friend, relative, neighbor, and coworker has heard my story. If I'm in the appliance department of a store that carries Electrolux or Frigidaire, I watch for anyone seeming interested in the brand and warn them, urging them to look at reviews and complaints online. I will continue to do this anytime and anywhere I find anyone considering new appliances. I've had good luck all my life with products and am typically a fairly positive person, but this was the most egregious experience. I guess I've become a reverse evangelist for the brand.

We bought Electrolux products in 2008 -- Electrolux Icon dishwasher, oven and stove. In the first year, we had to have the oven fixed twice and the dishwasher fixed as well. The stove never did work right, but the gas company said that they did not know what was wrong with it. 2 burners blow up at you with a poof of fire when turning it on. The store we bought the appliances from were no help. Now 7 years later and our dishwasher rack has rusted out. Of course, Electrolux service is terrible. They don't have any replacement parts for the rack. Now we will have to buy a new dishwasher because our plates don't stay standing. I will NEVER buy Electrolux again. Terrible products, terrible service.

We have an entire kitchen outfitted with their top line appliances since May 2010. The cooktop hybrid no longer works and requires a $800.00 repair, the wall oven is missing screws, the dishwasher was replaced in the first 6 months and has had 3 repairs since. Today it is Jan 2016 and my dishwasher is broken. Angry yes. I will never buy another Frigidaire owned company product. I owned GE previously and never has an issue. Electrolux avoids their repairs by allowing third parties fix things they are not trained for.

Third party repairs do not remove a broken cooktop. The homeowner must do it in order for them to repair. It is insane to think the repairman will charge you money just to write notes, not touch the cooktop and expect you to pay $200.00 for walking in your door. I am so disgusted with Electrolux. I now must shop for a new cooktop. I paid $2500.00 in 2010. I am going back to a gas stove because It is more reliable than any fancy oven that has a digital electric panel that malfunctions.

I remodeled my kitchen and purchased both an Electrolux double oven and refrigerator in Sept 2014. We started using the oven in Dec of 2014 due to remodeling timeline. After the first oven cleaning, we had to have it repaired as one of the oven's stopped working. A common problem according to the repairman. They actually had a kit to fix it. Needed to put some kind of washer on the thermostat so it would not happen again. My oven even today runs hotter than set. We need to place a cookie sheet on the lower rack to prevent burning. Now just slightly over the 12 month warranty the welding on one of the glide oven racks did not hold and has now separated. I was very disappointed with customer service and Electrolux that they do not stand behind the oven rack and will not replace. According to the supervisor at Electrolux, an oven rack is not a functioning part and therefore is not replaceable.

What is worse the refrigerator or the 800 number customer service? New refrigerator came, got set up and the control panel didn't work. Two weeks later the tech came with the second one that also didn't work. One month on a new refrigerator and no ice. Since then, an ice maker service call repair every six months. Company takes no ownership of their product's performance and customer service and their supervisor spend their time trying to sell a $300 per year service contract. I have 5 Viking and 2 Samsung appliances in the kitchen purchased at the same time. One problem with exhaust fan, repaired promptly. Electrolux is an awful company, making awful products, and treating their customers badly.

When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesn't maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wife's first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. I bought Electrolux Fridge for a small condo. The Fridge is tall and slick, perfect from my condo that is used only 3 months a year. Problem: makes a snoring sound, water in the back of the back of the fridge, drips all the time. Sometimes it freezes. I called Electrolux from the store, they told me I have to talk to the manufacturer. They send someone but the problem remains the same.

I called them again. They told me since a year has passed I have to pay one of their authorized technician to look at it, so I called a technician and paid him. He came while I was away. I assumed problem is fixed. When back in Toronto the problem is worse. Fridge has more water on the back. I called the manufacturer they said they never received a report from their technician and since a year has passed it is not their problem. Basically Electrolux does not and does not stand behind their product. They will have a reason not deal with you. I tell everyone please, please do not buy Electrolux Fridge. It is a problem. Do not judge a book by its cover. It looks good but it is the worst quality you will ever get.

It is infuriating that a company does not stand behind their product. The interior of my Electrolux refrigerator is falling apart. The plastic supports are cracked and broken, making the drawers sit askew. Freshness of food? I have spoken to customer service twice... no help. When requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was kept on hold for lengthy amount of time only to be told that no supervisor would come to the phone. No supervisor will come to the phone? Customer service?

I have been told by numerous appliance retailers that Electrolux appliances are plagued with quality issues. I purchased $10,000 in Electrolux appliances in 2012. Yes, the warranty has expired. But this is NOT acceptable. The interior portion of my refrigerator should be replaced... no questions asked. That is brand support and customer service. Own the fact that there have been ongoing issues, and work to maintain a loyal customer base. That is good business. I am a business owner. I would expect my employees to take better care of my customers. ELECTROLUX should be ashamed! I feel a responsibility to share my feeling with whomever will listen. It's infuriating. I purchased a $2700.00 Electrolux French Door refrigerator. The computer board broke weeks after the warranty expired. It cost almost $550.00 to repair. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. After almost 6 months without ice, they finally provided the kit and paid for the repairs. Two weeks later the same problem. Electrolux poor design causes the water reservoir to freeze. The customer service representative offered to sell me another repair kit at a 20% discount. She stated that my warranty expired so they no longer have an obligation to stand by their product. I purchased an expensive fridge from Electrolux. The ice maker never worked. The repair people came out countless times. Repair people told me the ice maker is unfixable. I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company.

The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. Nothing compared to the aggravation or the cost of a new fridge.

I'm from Malaysia and am a user of Electrolux Washing Machine and dryer. I'm very happy with both the machines until I encounter problem with my Dryer. It was making a loud sound and I quickly called Electrolux dealer "AB First Trading" in Shah Alam. The technician came and inspected my dryer. It took him merely 2 minutes of inspection and he told me that the motor is faulty and needed to change the entire motor system. On top of that, he told some belts are balding and needed to change as well. It will cost around RM800-RM1000 to have it changed. I was shocked. I didn't trust him so I asked another technician (not Electrolux dealer) to inspect my dryer. He opened the machine, and showed me a pile of dusts. After removing the pile of dusts, the loud sound disappeared! I was utterly shocked that the problem was only removal of dusts; not drum faulty, not motor, not belt!

I felt cheated by "AB First Trading" but also relieved that I did not engage their service. However, Their sales staff kept harassing me and easily called me 20 times a day (at least) to ask for their labour charges. I was so mad as they cheated on me first and I refused to pay the labour charges. After all, the AB First Trading technician did not even open up the machine. he was just here listening to the sound. I wish Electrolux headquarter can do something about this as the experience are tormenting and the harassment is getting worse. Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014. Purchased matching dryer 6/1/14. Dryer control panel dies after three months. Repaired under warranty. Just short of 22 months of delivery washer does not spin out clothes. $100 for repairman to come out. Says, "Broken belt." Comes back a week later with belt. But NO, not the belt, the pulley, and the pulley ate into the drum, destroying that as well. 22 months old and washer is considered "totaled" by repairman. However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899.

Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the "stackable set" I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Don't buy is our recommendation!

They won't even tell me what the part costs without sending a tech out to the house to diagnose it - I would think that they would know which part needs to be replaced if they are settling out of court on the issue. We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems.

In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why can't we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didn't scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator.

By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. I moved into my new home last year. It was furnished with various Electrolux appliances, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave. We decided to utilize the self-cleaning feature of our Electrolux oven model #EW30DS65GS. Well the self-cleaning feature worked fine but then the upper oven wouldn't work. It only stayed at 100 degrees. So I researched the issue and found that it's a problem common to your dual ovens, they overheat and blow a fuse, blow the thermal control and may only need the reset the button. The button I understand is located in the back of the oven and we're unable to get to it since it's built-in and glided onto our Kitchen counters. This has been so frustrating!

The manual doesn't warn you that there would be a problem with the oven when the self-cleaning feature is utilized. Had we known, we would have never used the self-cleaning feature. Now I have a nice Electrolux dual oven but the upper oven doesn't work. I think that Electrolux should provide concessions to people that have these products and cover the cost of the repair. It doesn't seem right that a common feature as self-cleaning would result in disastrous consequences when used. It appears that this is a manufacturing defect with the oven. I implored the company to assist me with this repair so I can take full advantage of my oven. It really is a nice oven and it's a shame that it can't be fully utilized as intended. I spoke to customer assistance several times and emailed them with no avail.

We purchased 6 appliances all Electrolux. We had 2 issues with the microwave door repaired under warranty. The fridge however is a completely different story that never ends. It has been 3 years of repairs and replacement parts but the worst of it all was when one day I dispensed water and ice from the fridge door and while drinking I choked on something. Fortunately for me my husband was here to assist me in dislodging it, and it turned out to be a piece of styrofoam dispensed from the ice maker.

I was able to spit it into the sink in bewilderment. We inspected the bin and were perplexed as to where it had come from. After that 3 more pieces of styrofoam were dispensed at different times. We kept inspecting the bin and found a large plastic piece and some wires wrapped around the auger. Many dollars have gone into this ice/water dispenser, mother board, display board and now this styrofoam and choking. Stay very clear from Electrolux. I'm sorry we chose this brand just for the induction. The freezer in the bottom we cannot turn off, and the seal around the freezer door does not meet up with the frame leaving the cold air to escape leaving me without a frost FREE freezer and fluctuating temperatures.

At times the warm alarm will sound alerting us that the freezer has gone warm and then we need to cut the power on then off to reset it and throw food out that thawed. Now we throw good money after bad, and to add a serious choking incident into the mix is unthinkable. This complaint could be a whole lot different if my husband wasn't at home to help me with a piece of styrofoam. To think a refrigerator is a danger in your home!!!

Electrolux is not living up to the "no lemon clause" of their service contract which states that if the same part on an appliance is replaced three times the customer is entitled to a cash settlement or another comparable appliance. This contract is not followed by Electrolux for my washer because they do not maintain the records. I have an email from them which states this. Furthermore, the local service companies they use also have no accurate records. They reuse the same service tickets and do not record the part numbers so it is impossible for the customer to make a claim. I have proof of this as well. My transmission was replaced at least four times. They lie about fixing the machine which is still broken. According to them the washer moving away from the wall and damaging components is normal and operating according to factory specifications. Is this case a candidate for a class action law suit or other action?

Purchased a pair of top of model laundry machine (EWFLS70JSS and EWMGD70JSS for 2900). Gasket was lumpy, color between the two unit was not matching. Dealer told me to contact manufacturer as the issue is caused during manufacturing process. Indeed, it's obvious that something went wrong in the factory as model numbers were correct. Contacted Electrolux multiple times and they only agreed to exchange the rubber gasket. The color issue is cosmetic and they're not responsible for it. Neither dealer nor manufacturer took ownership and each time I get the "pass the buck" response. Electrolux does not stand behind its defective products, only because it wasn't a functional issue. I'm at a substantial loss right now, I paid full price to get lemons.

Electrolux offers no help or support to customers. Because of this issue I had to waste numerous hours with customer service and issue still unresolved. The company is not even inclined to assist. What's even more disappointing is that Electrolux has incomplete record of services. A technician came to diagnose the problems and agreed with the issues with the gasket and color differences. Now the gasket problem is related to the washer, but the service record stated that the repairer came in for the dryer. I will need to take another few days off from work for another diagnostic visit and then subsequent repairs. Electrolux doesn't recognize that the issue started with their manufacturing and had the laundry pair that I got been perfect I couldn't have saved many hours of time on the phone with them and I didn't have to forgo my income to stay home for their repair.

It's very obvious that Electrolux doesn't care about us consumers as long as they make the sales. Avoid this brand, you don't get what you paid for. I completely lost confidence in this brand. I know it sounds ridiculous what happened to me, but I want to share my experience with other consumers and hopefully help them make an informed purchase decision.

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying "I'm sorry." I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.

At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasn't the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers aren't happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowe's in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowe's to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love.

The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.

Yesterday, we got "Error 01" on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

I really have no complaints regarding my front load Electrolux washer but I do have a complaint about the extended warranty! The clip which locks the front load door of the washer broke in half. I called Electrolux on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. They said they could not get a repair person until Friday, Sept. 11th. They gave me the name and phone number of the repair service who would be coming to repair the washer. I called them three days prior to the service call and told them what was wrong with the washer as I did not want to wait another week for them to tell me they had to order the part and to give them my cell phone number since I would be at work when they called to confirm. I got home late Thursday nite and there was a message confirming the service call for Friday. I called, left a message with my cell phone number and asked that they give me a "time frame" for the service call and again explained what was wrong with the washer.

She said she would have to call me back and let me know if they could get the part. She called back and, of course, they did not have and could not get the part! I was very annoyed since I purposely called them to let them know the problem, as that was the only problem with the washer. I admit that I was irritated, and did raise my voice somewhat, and was told they would not come at all since I was already aggravated! I called Electrolux, they told me that there was nothing that I could do or they could do and that I will have to wait for another repairman (another week). And that if they did not want to order the part in advance that was their choice. That they could come look at the machine, decide what is wrong and I would have to wait if they do not have the part.

Shortly after installation, the ice maker stopped working. Service call in Nov 2010, replaced several parts on it, working again. Believe the ice maker was replaced. In June 2012, again the ice maker is not working. Aug 2012, ice maker not working AGAIN!! Jan 2013, again ice maker not working. May 2015, the ice maker stopped working. Again the auth tech repair comes, and tells us that there is nothing else they can do. They replaced every part they could and STILL NO ICE!!!

We did purchase the extended warranty, but now the warranty is expired and the service company will not even answer our phone calls or come anymore. They know what the problem is, but can't get parts from Electrolux to fix it. They have other owners who have the same problems, and they can't fix their ice maker problems either. CONSUMER BEWARE!! About 3.5 years ago we totally remodeled our kitchen. We purchased a double oven, warmer, stove top, and two dishwashers. One dishwasher needed a pump replaced after six months. After the warranty expired both dishwashers started to develop problems. They would not totally drain. I had both serviced at different times and the same problem continues. The service mechanic called customer service to see if there was a recall and was told no and that they weren't aware of a major problem. When running they are very silent but are not worth the problems or repair costs. I would not repurchase an Electrolux product again. Strongly considering returning dishwashers to front of store where purchased, calling the news media to watch me take a hammer to the items to show my dissatisfaction, costly but very gratifying.

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal).

We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldn't a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!!

Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didn't fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! The problem is Electrolux. I have made numerous calls to Electrolux to ask for assistance, request diagnosis of problems, and to try to locate repairmen. Nothing. I finally found a local repairman who has beaten a path to my house from his shop. The latest problem is a circuit board that controls the small oven. That oven inadvertently switches to broil during baking and needless to say, I burns food to a crisp.

The repairman has called Electrolux, Electrolux acknowledges the problem because it has happened numerous other times to other people. It is an Electrolux problem, and Electrolux still will not warrant that part which is costly. I have never been offered an extended warranty on my range, but if I were, I would certainly collect all the costs associated with this piece of equipment and get rid of it. Viking or Wolf would certainly be better than the inefficient products Electrolux puts out. Buy Electrolux at your own risk.

We will not buy Electrolux appliances any longer and I encourage others to beware of them. They will not stand behind their product. Back in 2010 we paid around $3,000 for a new Electrolux Refrigerator thinking that it would last a long time. Within one year, I had to make service calls because the ice maker wouldn't work right. Finally after a year they did give us a new refrigerator. Well, of course the ice maker on the second one has never worked right. Come to find out from the repairman after spending $500 on a service call is that the first two years Electrolux made the refrigerator, the freezer was not made right. We had a new kit put on for $500 at our own expense and according to the repairman there is nothing else he can do.

Not only did I spend $3,000 for a new refrigerator but $500 for a service call when in fact this never fixed anything. I contacted the Customer Service area in Georgia and they refuse to do anything. They claim the service company should make it right. Well the problem is that they can't own up to the fact that the first two years these refrigerators were made the ice maker in them never worked right and is made so that once they quit working, nothing can be done to repair them. How outrageous is that?

We also bought Electrolux dishwasher and stove from Electrolux. Well, they have lost a customer for life. Talk about dishonesty -- Why didn't they recall these refrigerators in the first two years they made them and supply people with one where the ice maker actually worked and could be repaired. I have two pages of notes about service calls to people. Beware of Electrolux. They will not stand behind their product and when you call their service center they just pass the buck to call the repair people and pay to fix it when nothing fixes it.

Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An "upgrade" we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiance's parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it.

And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our "upgrade."

And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if they'll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!

Hey Electrolux, here's a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and you'll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. First the icemaker, then cooling/freezing, then the ice maker again. The unit was determined to be a lemon. Electrolux agreed to replace the refrigerator, and assist with repair cost. They replaced the refrigerator, and took the old one. When we asked for assistance with the cost of repair they demanded the serial/model number sticker and the original bill of sale. They were given both for the replacement. A year later the replacement refrigerator developed a pinhole in the back and began leaking water. We have now been dealing with getting a replacement for six months.

At first they said they could find a replacement in our area. The appliance store that replaced the first one has a new one in their showroom. Then they said they would refund the money spent but demanded the invoice/bill of sale. We did not purchase the second refrigerator they replaced it. We do not have a bill of sale. Now they are requesting letter stating the problem, and that I take the serial/model plate from the inside of the refrigerator. When I said it is unlikely that I will be able to get it off in one piece, the representative said she knows that. The microwave and stove have a confection oven in them! I own rental properties and have bought a lot of appliances and I must say, I had a lot better luck out of a lot cheaper ones! So I will never buy Electrolux again! I was very disappointed! I'm glad I didn't buy a refrigerator!!

Please do not purchase Electrolux appliances. I unfortunately did not do my research before and deeply regret it as I am now in the hole about as much as I paid for it originally in repairs and it still does not work. I have spent numerous calls and hours with customer service and to no avail. They simply don't care if you ever purchase from them again and I definitely will not. The interface board on ours was faulty from the beginning and after being replaced still did not work. The ice maker would freeze over and after even repairing it broke again.

We have been using ice trays for two years due to not being able to afford to pay the repair cost and another part since it was out of warranty at that point. I have filed a complaint with the State Dept. of Consumer Affairs and to file suit to replace a defective design. We are contacting their legal department due to the fact they knew it was a defective design and will not fix it or replace it. Electrolux used to be a great company and unfortunately like many today just don't care about the consumers who purchase with their hard earned money from them. The only recourse is to just not give them the money in the future so I highly recommend you do your research before throwing your money away with them.

Over a month ago my cooktop went out. I had to pay $400+ for an extended warranty. Parts were ordered by their recommended service technician immediately. After a month of pleading, they decided the part wasn't going to get there in time (a month later???) and said they would replace the unit. Now, they're telling me it will take at least a week - 10 days to process the replacement and that I would have to pay for the shipping/return fees. Every single person I have spoken with has either transferred me to another department where I waited on hold for hours or they've flat out told me "that's just the way it is. I can't do anything for you." Even calling the corporate office got me nowhere. I just need someone to make an attempt to do something more than what their script tells them to do.

Electrolux quite possibly has THE worst customer service I have ever dealt with. For whatever reason the original company we purchased this product(Front Load Washer Model #EIFLS60LT) from, and had provided service previously, no longer services our area. We are pushed into using another company for our warranty service for a washing machine less than 18 months old that suddenly the door will not open on it took over a week for an appointment. The repairman finally came out and got the door open. That was it... They did not check to see if it would cycle... Did not look for additional error codes, etc. Well, of course, as soon as we try a load it craps out with a totally different error code and naturally this is on a holiday weekend. The earliest we can get a repairman out to look is another 8 days out!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I plan on posting every negative review that I can and will never purchase an Electrolux product ever again.

Didn't want front side ice and water because I felt it unnecessary and potentially problem-ridden. I saw some reports of ice maker being problematic. Embarrassed to report, they were right. Thing knocks, sticks, I fought with it with a steak knife, and have changed the expensive water filter per instruction several times. It's actually mocking me right now (kid you not) with a nice tempo of knocks. Called support previously and they responded twice with average butt crack service. Ready to throw a hatchet at this thing. Mostly to cut the top half from the bottom. Have worked over the freezer trays so much they are no wobbly.

Side by Side Fridge control panel on front replaced, segments of temperature went out. Poor Temperature distribution in fridge, get 42 degrees on top shelf while bottom shelf is 37. Set it any colder and back of both drawers freeze things. So far vent fan hood, gas cooktop, and washer and dryer are OK. Thankfully I have a great dealer with great repair people, ** in Florence. This time it is the refrigerator purchased 5 years ago. I replaced the front panel since it no longer would show temperature properly, some of the LED digits became very faint, that was 2 years ago. This time, it could have been a disaster. Sitting in a different room, I heard water suddenly running. Running to the kitchen, I see the water dispenser had turned on by itself. Frantically pressing controls, I got it to spew ice. I ran to my breaker box, and turned off the circuit. After cleaning up the mess, I turned on breaker, same thing. I have now turned off the ice maker, and found that if I press control lock, nothing is now wrong. Turning control back on, everything is fine. Will talk to repair Monday, but with this design fault, I'm considering junking this thing. Temperature uniformity in the Refrigerator section is terrible, the top shelf is 42 degrees, the bottom is 37.

I purchased an Electrolux Wave Touch Standard Depth model EW28BS85KS5 a little over two years ago. After less than a year, the Temp Perfect Drawer seized up and could not be opened. I worked with Electrolux rep to get the repair and all was covered under warranty. Either while I was waiting for repair or shortly after the repair was completed, I was contacted by and ESA representative and offered, for a price of course, an extended warranty. The representative was fully aware of the issues I had with the drawer. Since my confidence level in product quality was now low and believing the extended warranty was as comprehensive as the one year warranty, I purchased the extension. It has been a little more than a year and the drawer has the exact same issue.

I contacted ESA to advise them of the recurrence. They advised me that the warranty does not cover the drawer. Only functioning parts of the refrigerator that maintain the cool temperature, the ice maker and the water dispenser. I have tried working with them, but to no success. I do not appreciate a product attribute that is designed to last only a year. I hesitate to spend the money to have it repaired again because I fear next year I will have to have it repaired again. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didn't mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesn't make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, it's a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and it's empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. It's just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. Worked for 1 week! Only! Started squeaking then leaking! Called the company and since it is under warranty they said will send someone down! Waited a full week! Finally the technician says gotta replace 5 parts! Had to wait 2 weeks for parts!

You can imagine I'm schlepping garbage bags and bags with kids in tow to Laundromat! Aggravation! Finally parts arrive, the technician comes back after a few days- installs back tub, front tub, basket, rubber by door! Every single part in this new machine! And disappears before he even has a chance to check it out properly! Besides for he scratched up my wall, and left all the old parts and garbage by my front door! Heavy parts!!

I breathe a sigh of relief though somewhat! Great let’s do laundry! Throw in much needed load, and whoa when it comes to spinning it starts squeaking and bam! Stops spinning totally!!! This was Friday afternoon, can’t reach technician till Monday! Finally reach them Monday after suffering through Laundromat again. Guy comes back, opens the insides, says “oh the rubber slid off”! Puts it back on! And out the door he is! Call me if you have any problem!

I had towels that were smelling already, threw in the load and in no time the squeaking started!!! Before I had a chance to do anything smoke started bellowing out of the machine. I pressed cancel and quickly called and ran for all the kids! I grabbed the infant and toddler ran outside! Luckily phone was in hand I called fire dept! Thank God I caught it early and stopped the machine! But I cannot use it now!

I called Electrolux and they say they will send other repair company!! I begged, demanded and threatened for a new machine!! Can you believe that!?? They refused!! I need a new machine! I got a total lemon! I have 5 little kids! I cannot afford all the aggravation to wait for them to come figure out that they cannot fix or how.

Just about 3 years after purchasing. That service call cost me $158.00, the water line was frozen.

Now one year later another service call for the same reason. 4/15/15 service call was $125.00 a little less expensive. At that time, the certified electrolux repair person noticed a large area in the back of my unit that was rusting out. They told me that they had never seen anything like that before and said that that was a manufacturers defect. They also took pictures for their report. I have not been able to resolve this problem yet to see if Electrolux truly believes and stands by their product. Not covered by warranty as acc. to Electrolux this is not a functional part. Strange - how is an oven with open door fit to purpose? We replaced it by a usual rack. After 7 years of operation the ceramic top "separated" itself from the frame - the silicon layer around the ceramic top sticks on the ceramic top but not anymore to the frame.

Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on can't do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.

I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!

Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasn't an electrical fire.

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturer's warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part.

Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she can't get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.

Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. You'll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

It either says the racks are still in, so the clean mode won't work, or it cleans and gets too hot and shuts the oven down so it will not heat up upon next use. This requires repairman to change the fan and replace some switch. This has happened four times. Repair guy says not to use the clean mode anymore. I'm disabled and to clean it myself is not an option. Also it seems everything splatters so much that it will have to be cleaned. I was so happy with it at first, it was so out of my price range, but I always thought you get what you pay for, but not in this case.

Also on my Electrolux side by side fridge had to have it repaired twice - a computer malfunction, four hundred once and three hundred another time. Remodeled a kitchen with all Electrolux appliances (cooktop, double oven, French door/ bottom freezer). Started having problems with the fridge shortly after purchase. After several repairs to the ice maker, the appliance store replaced the entire refrigerator. Continued to have probs with the ice maker = more repairs and thank goodness under warranty. We then moved to another state and brought that fridge with us (it had cost us > $3000). Bought the extended warranty because we had had so many problems with it (aka more money spent). Had to have further repairs done and the "motherboard" was replaced under the extended warranty.

Remodeled our new kitchen with more Electrolux appliances minus a fridge. Over the past 5-6 years we have spent $15-20000 on Electrolux appliances. Wanted nice looking and (we thought) reliable, high quality and dependable apps for our $$$ spent. Have continued to have probs with the refrigerator ice maker - a very "moody" part/worked when it "wanted" to!!!

Several days ago I took ice cream out of the freezer compartment and it was almost melted. Thought maybe I hadn't properly closed the door (although a signal should sound if this were so). I rearranged a few things in the freezer and made sure the door was solidly closed. No change. The temp gauges on the front panel were still registering 0* for the freezer and 37* for the fridge. A thermometer showed 10*/freezer and 45*/fridge and these numbers worsened over a couple hours. I was lucky enough to have some freezer and fridge space in an older refrigerator to store food products.

Today the appliance repair guy told me that there was a freon leak in the ice machine and could be repaired for ~$1000. But being an honest guy he said the best thing to do was "to take it out back and shoot it" and forget about putting more money into it. The prob would probably happen again and again. We are going to purchase a new refrigerator- NOT ELECTROLUX- NOT EVER AGAIN!!!! The Electrolux Customer Service Dept was going to give us a "great"deal of 30% off of parts - ordered from them of course!! Thanks but no thanks. After spending so much money on Electrolux already I am angry. Does anyone know about any pending legal action against Electrolux? After reading reviews, I am certainly not an isolated case.

They sent the owner's son out who claimed that the dishwasher buttons were malfunctioning and he replaced them (he did it so quick that I am not sure he actually did). However, he reported to Electrolux that he replaced the buttons on my microwave!!! He did not do any repairs on my microwave!!!!!

Well a few months later, same problem and Electrolux sent Premier appliance out twice because Callahan refused to come out to my house since I called them out on the fake microwave repair. After that in December 2014, just before the warranty was up Electrolux started doing their own repairs and sent an Electrolux tech out. He indicated that the control panel was faulty. He ordered the part and replaced it out and Electrolux extended my repair warranty (parts and labor) till June 2015. However, since he replaced that out, the control panel cover will not fit right and there is space between the control panel and cover due to the heat/steam from the dishwashing cycle.

The Electrolux tech has come out and replaced the control panel cover but the problem still is not fixed. It keeps separating from the control board. They have now deemed it not repairable and are willing to replace my dishwasher for me but expect me to pay the cost of the delivery and installation. I think that since it is still under a parts and LABOR warranty it should be replaced at no cost to me. They refuse to fix it now!! I feel that they are not standing by their warranty (Labor included). I have always had Whirlpool appliances and will NEVER buy ELECTROLUX appliances!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! A GOOD COMPANY STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! WHIRLPOOL DOES! I do not have a receipt for the purchase because I bought a new construction home.

Our nightmare with our Electrolux appliances is similar to the others on this site. We purchased a fridge and had issues the first year. Husband bought the matching dishwasher before the first issue occurred with the fridge. After at least a dozen service calls between the two appliances and 2 different repair companies, Electrolux did replace the DW with the newer redesigned model. Well that was approx. 2 years ago and we are now on our 3rd issue with the new improved model.

The first issue was in the first few months and a typical error code, parts replaced. We since went through a kitchen remodel last year and now the 3rd issue with this new improved DW - possible heating element out? DW doesn't seem hot and there's mold on spray arms, soap dispenser, and racks - smell is horrid. We were offered 50% off another DW after the last issue but I would never buy another Electrolux appliance. We did not buy the Electrolux matching cook top or double oven when we remodeled.

The company we purchased from went out of business and the storeowner himself did the installation. When he carted our 20+ yr old Whirlpool DW away, he said it was a good model - just the baskets were old (we should have kept it)! The Electrolux manager who handled our replacement DW had verbally told me if this 2nd DW had ANY issue, they would refund the $ paid for our 1st DW. My mistake, I never got it in writing, so when the 2nd issue surfaced, I had no proof of the offer. The frustration, time spent sitting home waiting for the repair co., waiting for parts to be Fed Ex'd, nothing was worth the frustration and I could have written a book on my experience. I would never buy another Electrolux product.

This complaint concerns the mold that was created in this washer seal. Even had the recommended maintenance and although is within the warranty period the Electrolux company refuses to replace the seal claiming that this is just something "cosmetic."

I purchased a new Electrolux slide in range with a self cleaning oven in 2010. At the time I also purchased an extended warranty and am so glad that I did. Since then every time I clean the oven using the self cleaning feature, the oven comes out spotless and then refuses to work. Each time it has been repaired it has needed a new motherboard. The technicians say it is a common problem that they encounter with this model range. I love the range, it is a ceramic top...easy to clean... easy to use. I simply would like the oven to work as it is meant to. This was a $3000 range and I have been very disappointed in the design flaw of the self clean feature.

I bought the best gas range at Sears...the cooktop peeled off almost. It looks like someone hacked it up but just heat made it crumble, and every time I put on the convection oven it makes a sound like it is scraping on something. I hate this expensive stove but it is too late for a warranty. It is a very expensive piece of crap.

Purchased a Frigidaire Gallery side by side in December and had it delivered to a new house. We purchased January 23rd and the fridge was delivered the next day. On February 4th I came home from work and found my kitchen and dining room flooded and the hardwood floors in the dining room are warped and water-stained. The reason for the water damage was that the water in the door of the fridge came on by itself and ran for hours. A couple of days later, I got a call from Wendy of Electrolux in the claims department, letting me know that I should claim with my home owners insurance because if I file one with Electrolux, I will have to get to estimates and they will only pay a prorated amount on my wood floor because the house was built in 2005. TWO WEEK OLD, SIDE BY SIDE FLOORS HOME AND I SPENT 3 HOURS CLEANING UP THE WATER, AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY ELECTROLUX.

Our Electrolux washer and dryer live a pampered 2nd floor laundry life. They are 2.5 yrs old. The dryer had an element failure when it was about 1.5. Now the washer has a bad water pump and there is burning smell coming from it. Thinking it was all related to the pump, our Electrolux repairman advises that it also needs an electrical control circuit box replaced for the burning smell. My wife is now terrified of these units. After spending over $4,000 and having them less than 3 years, we are thinking about replacing them with anything BUT Electrolux/Frigidaires.

I purchased a Frigidaire freezer in 2007 and, three years later, I purchased an Electrolux Extended Warranty (service contract). During the life of the Extended Warranty I called for service because my freezer was not getting as cold as it should and it was accumulating a lot of frost (not a frost free model). Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician who looked at it and told me that there was too much food in it and freezers should not be loaded over 50% of their capacity. I found other accommodations for the excess food, ensuring that the freezer was not loaded more than 50% but this did not fix the problem. I called for service again and Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician from the same company who had a different story this time, telling me that the drawers at the bottom of the freezer were not going all of the way back, impeding the sealing of the door.

I couldn't see that the drawers were impeding the closing and sealing of the door but I defrosted the freezer anyway and discovered that the door seal was still not sealing and I could feel the cold air escaping from the bottom door seal when the door was closed. I called for service again and requested another appliance repair company to do the inspection/repairs because all I was getting from the company that they were sending was a lot of busy work for me which was not fixing the problem. They did send another inspector who took several pictures of the door and bottom seal and left with the comment that the door was misaligned.

Several days later I received a call from Electrolux stating that their findings were that the misalignment was the result of "consumer abuse" of the door and they would not repair the door. I informed them that was absurd and an examination of the pictures that the technician took would show that the door was not damaged and there was no consumer abuse. They informed me that there were NO pictures accompanying the report and Electrolux was standing by their decision NOT to cover the repair of the door.

How very convenient that the pictures that were taken which would make my case and refute their claim had just vanished into thin air!?!? I have filed a complaint with the BBB but Electrolux is sticking by their decision NOT to perform on its contractual obligations and they are doing it through deceit. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the results of that one are pending. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Electrolux Extended Service Warranties! Like me, you might pay perfectly good money for a perfectly worthless piece of paper.

The light went out in my Electrolux oven, so I called the Sears repairman and he came and said it needed an entire new panel that would cost $1400.00 to fix. So he took out the one good light bulb and charged me $113.00 fee for nothing. Now I can't see anything in my oven and my husband can't work the controls very well. We had purchased a 3 year warranty, but this happened after the warranty expired. We hate the stove. It was and still is very expensive and a piece of junk.

My fridge is not cooling food or drinks, I have had milk, cheese and dips go sour before the expiry date. Tech has been out twice and replaced the temp sensor with no change in the temp. I set the fridge to 33 and I'm lucky to get 37 with doors closed for 12hrs, Electrolux's response was well if you set to 33 and get 36.5 it is fine. NO I paid over $3000 for this unit and I expect my fridge to preform, I have emailed and contacted them 6 times and they have ignored each complaint.

The unit is 3 months old and I need something to be done immediately, should I pursue this legally or are there any other ways to be heard?

In 2012 we completed a kitchen renovation and outfitted it with 5 new Electrolux Icon Series appliances... all but 1 has been serviced multiple times. The dishwasher was replace twice, we are currently working with our 3rd dishwasher. They upgraded the pump on this generation of dishwasher and it finally works well. Before each replacement we had to endure no less than 5 service calls for each unit!

Next item to fail was the fridge. The first part to fail was the ice maker, a service technician replaced it and it worked fine for a few weeks until a crack in the ice tray caused a block of ice to form in the bin. When the auger turned to dispense ice, the block of ice reached up and grabbed a sensor that proceeded to wind itself around the auger. This in turn caused an electrical short that burned out a control board... the fridge went dead, repairs took approximately 2 weeks. Today, January 23, 2015 the sound of a failing compressor in the fridge woke us up several times through the night. I'm waiting for the appliance centre to open up so that I can speed dial them and call for a repair.

Next in line was the convection wall oven. The control board failed and the display went black... it was repaired but some of the display is not visible. We've decided to live with it! Right out of the box, the microwave/convection oven would only work in the micro-wave mode. The convection oven would not reach temperature. The service man found a loose connection and for a while it worked well but has recently failed again! When I called for service under the extended warranty program we were told parts for this model are no longer available... The warranty program refunded the purchase price. We now have to choose between living with an partially functioning oven that matches the other appliances or replace it with a new unit that does not match.

Fortunately we bought the extended warranty for these appliances and we purchased them through a very supportive appliance company so there was no financial burden to us throughout this whole process but there was a mind-blowing amount of inconvenience! In my opinion this line of appliances is nothing more than an attractive pile of overpriced garbage... Electrolux should have stuck to making vacuum cleaners.

Immediately call the Customer Service Line from the number on the package. They take all my info and tell me that they would send me a new one. But now 4 months have gone by and I still haven't received it. So I call the same number today, only to be told that they don't handle these items or complaints, can't order me a new trim kit, and that I should go make to the retailer to have replaced.

I wanted a plain basic stainless fridge but a friend was getting rid of this Electrolux so I bought it. The red "high temp" light is on continuously, the woman at customer service, who was very nice, told me to turn breaker off to "hard reset" it. Now I have the power failure light on also! Especially now after reading all this feedback, I wish I would have settled on the Whirlpool I originally intended to buy.
