Bruno was the only company I knew of in Champaign. The stairlift goes straight up one flight of stairs. It was rather expensive, but I like it.

I have *arthritis in my legs, and going up and down between the two stair floors of my house was very hard. We got a stairlift from Bruno. My son searched it for me, and he found out that Bruno was supposed to be the best. The installers were very professional. They came at a good time and got everything done in one day, which surprised me. The stairlift works fine. It's sturdy and it helps me because I have 11 stairs to go up to my bedroom, and I would have had to change one of my downstairs rooms into a bedroom if I didn't get something to help me go upstairs.

I had a friend in Sacramento whose husband was ill. She put a stairlift in, and she was satisfied. The communication with Bruno was fine, especially the young man who installed the lift. It's sturdy but I wish it was smaller. I talked to the repairman and I told him that it wasn't responsive at the top of the stairs and I would have to jiggle it to get it to check in. He told me I could use it for a while and it would work better. He also told me that it’s covered into the warranty.

I got my Bruno stairlift primarily because I'm going to have surgery in March for my knee*. So, I got it ahead of time. But I really haven't used it, other than a couple of times just to try it out. It's good quality and I would recommend it.

Several years ago when I was thinking about purchasing a stairlift. I contacted a few places. Westchester Stairlift responded, gave me a thorough review, and I held it for several years until I actually needed the first stairlift, and that was when I contacted them and they honored their first outdated proposal with a new installation. I got a Bruno stairlift and it is fine and accurate. As far as I know, it's about as limited, which I need for relatively narrow staircases. I have only one real problem with it. There is a paddle shifter on the arm to go up and down with. It constantly breaks. I finally had to order what seems to be a very expensive plastic part myself to make it a little more usable. In other words, it isn't a good design. It breaks very easily. Other than that, I have no real complaints with Bruno at all. It performs as well as I expected a stairlift to perform.
I can't compare Bruno to anybody else. I can manage stairs, but since my main staircase is used constantly, I wouldn't be able to use it without the Bruno stairlift. I couldn't spend the whole day laboring up and down the stairs without the stairlift. If somebody I know needs a stairlift, I'd tell them to use Bruno. It's one of the best as far as I know. I've looked here and there, and it was the one that I liked. Plus, Westchester came immediately and convinced me to continue with Bruno.

The Bruno agent was very good. She was really a beautiful person. She gave us a lot of information. She gave us confidence to order the chairlift. My husband said the stairlift is nice. But I found a little piece of metal on the stairs one day. It obviously came apart from the machine. Also, the machine thuds on the floor. It's a little snug on my husband's legs, so he has to move them so that they're not bumping into the top of the stairs on the right side. We have it connected to the wall. There's not enough room for the legs.

We had a stairlift at our old house, but we moved and had to get a new one. The company we bought the stairlift from worked with Bruno, so that’s what we got. It was the only one they were selling. I called numerous companies, and most of them all just dealt with Bruno, so I didn’t have a whole lot of options. The installers came out and put in the stairlift and the total installation took about seven hours. They were very good, but the project manager wasn’t great.
We got a straight stairlift and there are a couple of features that weren’t standard that we had on our last stairlift, which is making it tough for my mother-in-law. We had to pay extra for the motorized swivel. Also, the footrest on the old one is motorized. You could push a button and it would come up and get out of the way. On this one, she has to bend over and lift it, and she’s not able to do that. So there are a couple of things we wish were different. But otherwise, it works. We’ve only had it for about three weeks, but it’s doing what it’s supposed to.

Bruno Independent Living Aids' lift is the safest, quietest, best option you could go with, and the least expensive. It's much easier for someone who doesn't have sensation or feeling, and I don't have to worry about them. My husband is mobile, but he doesn't have a lot of feeling in his hands. He just has to touch the little lever, which is easy for him to do. He doesn't have to grip it. The chair pivots, and he doesn't have to wiggle around on it. He's safer getting onto and off of it.
Our house had seven stairs coming up from the garage. My husband can't even do one. We had to have a chairlift put in. We had a different chairlift but it broke within a year. Chattanooga Mobility does my husband's scooters through the VA. We called the other company six times, and they said someone would come out, but they never did. My husband was trapped in the house.
Chattanooga Mobility kept fixing the lift to try and get through and said it's not gonna last. They strongly recommended Bruno Independent Living Aids. Chattanooga Mobility went through step by step why Bruno's was superior and why they liked working with it, and how they could get replacement parts if needed. I was amazed at how quickly Bruno got the lift to them. They installed it. Narrow clearance on the stairs so that anybody can go up and down the stairs, and it's not out in there. It doesn't reach over the landing near the door, so I don't kick it with my shins when I go through the door. Also, it adjusted to my husband's height. At the bottom, his feet touch the ground perfectly, and he's able to get up easier. We love it.

It was a process to have to put the Bruno lift together. There was a team of three guys, and they did a good job. It was a reasonable time. I have a problem with my back and my knees. The lift has helped me to be able to get up and down my stairs. You should get one.

I love our Bruno stairlift. I didn't think I would like it. I'm somebody who doesn't want to just give up. Then all this year, I wanna get back on my feet with a walker and then back to my own gradual. Now, all the times I've made extra trips up and down the stairs to get things, I didn't have the massive pain shooting through my sciatica and my nerves, it's been awesome. One time, the stairlift had an issue with the motherboard. But they fixed it. It took a little while, but they had to get the parts from back east. But they called and they let us know what was going on. They did a great job. The stairlift changed my life. I'm very happy and thankful that I was blessed with this chair.

My stairs are a little narrow, but the Bruno stairlift works. It's doing what it's supposed to do. However, it doesn't work for my family member. She's kind of shorter. That's the only downfall. Maybe if it were adjustable for height, that would be great. But it's not adjustable. It makes it a little difficult for her. The footrest doesn't help her at all. But the stairlift is a game-changer, definitely. She needs it.

My sister has had the Bruno stairlift since 2012, and she's very satisfied with it, which was why I didn't go to Acorn. The salesman and the fellows who put in the stairlift were very good. I have one from the main floor going upstairs and another one from the main floor to the basement. Both are straight stairlifts and it’s convenient to have them. I was happy with Bruno, and the product seems to be working. We've only had it since December, and it's doing what it's supposed to do.

The Bruno stairlift is working. I thought that it was going to have a cover over the going up and going down buttons, but it doesn't. A couple of times, I have been trying to hold on. And at the same time, I would accidentally touch the going up and going down button. I wasn't intending to do either one. I was intending to get out of the stairlift, but I was not able to because it was moving. So I thought that the button was covered. I didn't realize it was so exposed to you. But it's certainly made my life more convenient. I'm able to go up and down the steps now without the fear that I had before.

Just over a month ago my husband and I made the wisest decision, both from a handicap equipment and personal financial business perspective. Though we're both physically challenged, and recently developed a most urgent need for a stair lift. Immediately I began researching online, basing assessment not only on thorough company information provided, but very important customer reviews. Thankfully due to the many found, the fact that the Bruno Independent Living Aids product is made in the USA, and is Veteran-founded (I myself am a U.S. Navy Veteran), we made the decision right then to call and arrange for an initial consultation.
On 12/01/25, Jonathan ** (Sales Rep) meet us at our home at 5p to assess our needs. He displayed the utmost professionalism and product knowledge so as we could be well-informed to make the best decision possible. Upon making our decision, Johnathan was able to accommodate processing our down-payment right then, so we could get the process going ASAP as our need was that immediate.
Johnathan was able to accommodate our needs successfully. He's also stupendous in team cooperation and coordination. Johnathan raved about Manny ** (Installer), and his praises were well-founded to be certain. Initially the next available install we were looking at would have been the end of the next week; however with a few phone calls and bring put on a cancelation wait list, we were able to get that scheduled for exactly one week later on 12/08/25 at 1p.
Manny ** (Installer) politely called to let us know he would be arriving shortly. Upon his prompt arrival, his thoroughness, knowledge and professionalism were beyond impressive. His enthusiastic yet profound demeanor of excellence left us enthralled at the fact we'd contracted with a company who brings such joy to its associates.
Manny's precision is unmatched, his technical knowledge so very vast and intricate. He has a way of explaining the stair lift functions so that you're left with no worries, and provides a way to reach out if any questions arise. He doubled-checked his work then showed us all functions until we were completely comfortable with the system. His attention to detail is unsurpassed.
Both Johnathan and Manny are empathetic, genuine, intelligent, kind, extremely professional and are excellent representatives of the Bruno Independent Living Aids Company. It is my sincere hope that both Johnathan and Manny are recognized, honored and rewarded by the company for their excellence, as their hearts are truly dedicated. Without a doubt, I can unequivocally state that this by far is the absolute best handicap accessibility aid company I've ever encountered. I Highly Recommend consulting Bruno Independent Living Aids!

The installation was very clean, swift and easy. It took an hour and a half max. I like the quality of the Bruno stairlift. Very smooth, minimally invasive. I was surprised because I thought it would have been much longer. I went with Bruno for many things. First is the quality of the product. Second is the availability of local service. I live in a town in Pennsylvania and I was very fortunate that they have a local service partner called Paramount.

So far, the performance of the Bruno stairlift has been good. It fits the stairwell and when it's not being used, it folds up and stores well so the stairwell can be used with ease. My father also likes that it provides him access to the second floor. He feels some independence.

I called Bruno and the offer sounded good. I got a straight stairlift and I absolutely love it. My only complaint is it's slow. It comes up the stairs a little faster than it goes down. If they had a second gear in it, I would love it. But I understand why it would be slow. It's a safety reason. They were a little bit more than a couple thousand dollars, but they were not out of line with the other ones. It has been worth every penny. I also have recommended it to a number of people.

I read articles on stairlifts and Bruno seemed to be the best one out there. We had them come in and install the system, and it went up real easy. It works good and seems a real nice unit. Bruno did a good job and I like the stairlift. I have stuff upstairs that are heavy such as antique clocks. I can't bring them down the stairs and walk down. I'm too old. If I have to bring them down, I'm gonna bring them down on the stairlift.

The stairlift was booked through a company that my sister used. Recently, I had my uncle move in who cannot also walk up steps. The reps from Bruno were very nice. We had two chairlifts since we have a split level.
The guy sells brand-new and used ones. We got two brand-new ones but the motor in one of them sounds like a boat. It gets up and down but it's a loud kind of a clanky noise. I have to call the guy again but it's been busy ever since my uncle moved in. Other than that, we have the remotes and we can still use them. It was very impactful for my uncle in a positive way. We're having good luck with it. The lifts has a guarantee for the life.

Our stairlift goes from the first floor to the second floor. Bruno’s made it easier and safer however we were surprised that the railing was so large because we always see those ads on TV with the little rails. But we're happy with it. The only thing is when I get to the second floor of my home, it's a little tight getting from the chair to the bedroom floor but it's no big deal. I wouldn't send it back because of that. I can get out real easy without even turning the chair to face the bedroom.

When I walk up the stairs, I get out of breath. The Allegany Office on Aging purchased the Bruno stairlift for me. It fits fine. There's a very narrow place for someone to walk up the stairs if they want to, and it holds up to 300 pounds. Sometimes, the bottom part of the chair, when I turn it a little bit to get off of it at the top of the stairs, it squeaks a little bit. But it performs very well. It's made life easier for me, because I now can go up to the bathroom. I only have one and that's upstairs, and so is my bedroom and the room I have my computer in. Overall, it’s very good and I love it.

I have a townhome and it has a straight staircase with about 17 stairs and a stairlift is something I need help for my family to climb for regular use especially for my wife. I was only in need of some basic model stairlift and don't need more features. I got quotes from different providers and they gave different prices. Finally, I was good to go with the quotation I got from Lifeway Mobility.
Anita gave me a quotation honestly. She told me what the expense is and I can go with the finance options. I decided to go whatever Lifeway Mobility suggested which was a Bruno stairlift. The project manager was Katie and the person who came to do the installation was Eric. Everybody did a really wonderful job right. I was stuck with my identity verification for the financing and they helped me to sort out those problems.
The stairlift only occupies about 6 inches from the wall side. In the first floor, there is the folding method we need because the ramp 15 inches on the floor. I hit my leg a couple of times when I walk over there, as well as my daughter, but we are good. I hope the bottom section can be foldable in the future. Bruno Stairlifts is extremely good. It is most suggestible for houses to occupy the less space and solving the purpose.

She came out, did all the measurements, and it was installed the very next day, no problem. I've never had anything done that fast, and the stairlift is great and easy to operate. My sister needed two, so we got a brand new one on the upper tier and there’s an older one on the lower tier. The rep seemed to know what he was talking about. We finally did get it registered after they got it completely installed. Our stairs are kind of narrow but it's not bad. We can make it work. We play cards at our house every night on Wednesday and eat pizza. There are four couples and no problems. We use it for laundry and groceries. We had a man here from another brand, but then I realized that I didn't want to get involved with them because they weren't local at all. The more I talked to him about it, the more I realized I didn't think I wanted them. I was looking online on Alick's and found Bruno. I knew they were local because they had a place in Elkhart, which was closer to us. My wife's getting to where she's having trouble with stairs. So, we decided to put one in.
I like the salesman from Alick's Home Medical. The product looked very good and safe, and it was what we wanted. The installer did a very good job, and installation was done very professionally. The stairlift takes up quite a bit of the stairs, though, but you can fold it up and get through. My biggest concern is if I were to move some furniture up or down the stairs.
We don't use it as much as a lot of people would because we don't sleep upstairs, but we got stuff upstairs and the stairlift has made quite a difference for my wife. The installation was fantastic. They were like a bunch of ants on an anthill. They came in, introduced themselves, brought all their stuff, and it was there. It was just absolute efficiency.

I've recommended Bruno to other family members who asked about it and were looking for something for their family. It has made it easier for my sister and her caregivers to go up and down. The caregivers are very happy that they don't have to walk up and down the steps holding her up. We got the straight one that took about two hours to install. We scheduled a time, the guy came and he seemed to know what he was doing.
When it's working, it's great. It's broken twice. The first time, we called the company and they came four days later and fixed it. But this last time, I went to the site when the guy got there and explained to him that I'm not happy with the fact that the wire keeps popping out. He seemed more responsive than the first guy. They weren't really responsive with getting there right away because they service the whole Maryland site. If they could improve anything, it would be turnaround time for service. It's a godsend for me. It’s going to be a struggle to stay in this house as time passes by, but this will change that as we go forward. It has made everything easier. And from what I am seeing, it should never wear out. I'd recommend it to anybody.

The stairlift certainly makes it easier for me to go from our upper level down to our lower level. We have two of them because we're in a split-level. Bruno has got to come back and do another adjustment on one of the arms because it won't stay up but, in general, the stairlift is fine and I'm glad we bought it. I like Bruno. There’s just one little glitch. Sometimes when I’m doing the remote and it’s coming down and brings a little lifting down, it hesitates and you have to have the remote directly on the chair before it will move. Other than that, it’s great. It has a little bar that goes down to the bottom of the stairs. It’s nice and even, but it’s not always a smooth ride because it’s in three different sections and it has to adjust itself. Our Bruno stairlift was purchased through a Medicaid program and they appointed the person. Bruno's reps were very helpful. They told us exactly what they were doing, how the stairlift should be set up, and they were pleasant. They were very good and professional. They did a great job. My house is old, so when the stairlift moves around, it creaks. Other than that, it's perfect. My husband loves it. It's easier for us to get him up and down the stairs. It does well. I'm so thankful. Before, he was just in the dining room. We're thinking about taking the dining room back and putting him in one of the rooms upstairs because he can come up and down the stairs. That gives him more privacy.
The stairlift takes up some space in my living room, but that's par for the course. It had to be put where it was. It comes straight down around and down. It is convenient. I'm thinking about what we could do with the chair for Thanksgiving. I'll take it up to the top three steps, and it's a landing. Everything was all organized from the insurance company. Bruno came out, measured once, gave a quote to the insurance company, and then it was approved. Then they came out and measured again. About a month later, they came to install the stairlift. They brought in everything and installed the stairlift, and made sure that it works. Bruno was very professional. They were very responsive. They called us, so it was very good.
The stairlift is an eyesore, but it is what it is. There's not really a way around it because it's for my father's mobility. It's not the prettiest thing, but it's well-constructed. My father is much more comfortable going up and down the stairs. Before, we would have to hold him. He didn't feel comfortable or confident, so he wouldn't go downstairs. Sometimes, he wouldn't eat because the kitchen is downstairs and we had to bring food up to him. So it's a much better situation right now. I'm happy that he's happy.

We needed a stairlift. I talked to different health aides and people helping us with things. They mentioned the Bruno brand so I contacted the person out on the Cape. I felt very comfortable with the salesperson who came to the house and the product seemed very good. Bruno has very good customer service. The stairlift is a nice and compact size. My wife is a large woman and she fits comfortably within it. There was no complexity to what needed to be done. It was all obvious when you pushed the lever. If you wanted to go down, you were pushing down towards the downstairs portion. Or if you're going up, you push towards the upstairs.
We check everything before going up and down. But her feet rest comfortably on this platform. We go up and it has a lever that you can have two different positions when you get up to the upstairs portion so that you can twist it partway around or all the way around. So that kept it comfortable. I liked it because when you're getting off the chair at the upstairs position, there was no fear of falling down the stairs because the chair was in a position that wouldn't allow the person to do that.
Also, the chair isn't intruding into our home. We have a split-level home. So we have two chair lifts, one for the upper section and one for the lower section. We pivot around on the platform connecting the two stairs midway, and it hasn't been in the way at all going up the stairs. We've adapted to it. It works fine. My wife knows all the different levers and there are not many of them at all.

Before I had the stair lift, I was in great pain going up and down the steps. I was afraid I was gonna fall. I used to hold the banisters very tightly. Now, I don't have to worry about that anymore. I also get in the chair easily. When I'm in the chair, I just press a button, and it goes up. Plus, the stairlift manages the curved steps at my home beautifully.

I use it every day a lot of times, and it's holding up, even though it's new. Bruno has some kind of warranty thing where I paid extra so they'll come out next year and tune it up.
Anybody can go up and down the stairs walking even with the stairlift installed. There's plenty of room. The installers used that side of the staircase railing. If I want to, I can fold up the stairlift. So it doesn't bother me at all. The mobility now is really helpful because I don't have to worry about the stairs. I can put something on my lap when I go down or up. If I've got laundry, I can put it on my lap and go down the stairs and not have to worry.

I love the inside stairlift except the seat is a little wobbly on it and I'm always a little concerned. The dealer came down and worked on it, but it didn't help that much. It has a battery backup. If the electricity goes off, it switches over to battery.
The outside one is five steps for me to get into the house. We had to rebuild the deck, which is another deal. But after they installed it and you get on it and you ride up and down, you are fine, except that if electricity goes off and you're on the lift, you're stuck. They came down today and put a handle on the top of the outside lift. It has a little round, softer like steering wheel, that's about the size of a coffee can.
You turn that can and it moves one-sixteenth per revolution. To put this handle on, if electricity goes off, you have to manually take four bolts out of the top of the machine and insert this handle and then your lift will go up and down.I'm 84 years old. I have to have an Allen wrench on the chairlift and take the top of the machine and install the handle, if the electricity goes off or if the thing malfunctions.
I have mentioned this to the VA. They tell me that my dealer should have recommended a Bruno that had a battery backup. But my dealer recommended the wrong one. And the VA will not change my lift for the outside. So, if I get trapped inside the house, power off or fire or the thing malfunctions, I'm just stuck.

We replaced our old Bruno which lasted for over 20 years with a new one. Bruno has always been good. The only problem is, obviously, that the spare parts were no longer available for the old chair, and we knew that we needed to eventually replace it. We have a man in our church that's pretty handy and he was able to swap out parts and keep the upper lift going as long as possible. But we knew we needed to replace it, so we went ahead and stuck with the same people.
The communication between the dealer and Bruno might be lacking. We had a special situation, We had a big question that needed to be answered, and no one really seemed to get a solid answer on it. The chairlift had serial numbers on it that were not registered with fire department. Now, in this area, it is require that you remove, condemn, and then replace. They need paperwork for that for a permit in the city where we are located.
There was some confusion on the permitting process, and a delay because of that. We never got a clear answer, and in fact, right down to the day of installation the two guys were asking to go through the paperwork with me and clarifying what their haul-off is. They suggested keeping the old one for parts, for itself which is better than them hauling off something that we might need. They weren't aware of any necessity for that, so we're all still assuming that a permit was not required, or at least haul-off was not required in the first place. I went ahead and completed it and sent it in to the project manager at Lifeway. They probably never heard back or found out if there's any condemning of a chair necessary.
So, we're good. I don't think the city even sent anybody out to look at it. And if they do, I'll just tell them what happened.
The installers were really good. They knew what they were doing and did a excellent job. They totally changed everything. The rail has different brackets, and so they had to remove the old rail and its brackets and install new ones, but they were really careful to try to cover up where they could on the carpet. They were gonna make new holes. They tried to make it as clean a removal as possible so that the carpet wasn't torn up. It looks good. You would really have to look close to notice that there was anything there.

The pricing for Bruno's service appeared relatively competitive, closely aligning with other options we evaluated. Installation was smooth and efficient, completed within approximately 2.5 hours as our stairway didn't require any advanced customizations—no unexpected issues arose. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of installation; despite some scheduling issues, Bruno accommodated us promptly, installing it just before my mother needed it after her rehab.
Their overall customer service exceeded my expectations, providing a smooth experience from start to finish. Recommended by both professionals and salespeople, Bruno's offering matched our budget and crucially aligned with our timeline—unlike competitors who offered later installation dates which we simply couldn't afford to wait due to my mother's needs.
I recommend Bruno to others facing similar situations, having had no issues throughout the process and truly benefiting from their offerings.

I needed a reliable stair lift for my home. My local installer recommended Bruno, which they carry, making it a convenient option for me. The salesperson was punctual and well-prepared, answering my questions thoroughly. The stair lift fits quite well in my narrow staircase. While it did take some getting used to, as long as it's folded up at the bottom, it doesn't interfere with movement around the house. In terms of quality and sturdiness, I've had it for about a month without any issues. The stair lift has greatly improved my mobility, allowing me to access my entire home again, turning what was once compromised quality of life into something much more normal. I believe choosing Bruno was the right decision, especially since my installer could quickly install it within a few days.

The stairwell in my house is quite narrow, and although you need to be careful while passing by, the stairlift fits in without obstructing the space excessively. I invested in a stairlift from Bruno, and I'm genuinely pleased with my choice. Considering my health challenges, the stairlift has significantly eased my daily routine by making it easy for me to manage the stairs - especially since my home has narrow steps that are difficult to navigate at my age of 70.
I learned about Bruno through James Medical in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We trusted them from past experiences when purchasing helpful items for my mother. It just made sense to go with Bruno as they were what James Medical offered, and living in the same town meant easy access to support if needed.
The whole installation process was smooth, with the personnel being professional and informative, which made me comfortable using the stairlift.
My experience with Bruno has been excellent. It's reliable, easy to operate, and a tremendous relief. My children are delighted with the added convenience and safety it provides, knowing I can move more freely and independently around the house.
I would absolutely recommend Bruno stairlifts to others and give my experience a full endorsement. It's been a blessing, and I'm thankful to have it.

I read about Bruno in an advertisement and I didn’t have a choice in the beginning, but I’m quite satisfied with how things turned out. The customer service I received during the installation was excellent, and I felt well taken care of. One issue I've encountered is that the stairlift squeaks whenever the seat is turned, indicating some adjustments are needed. Unfortunately, I’m unsure how to resolve this. However, beyond this noise issue, I'm content with their product. Bruno met my expectations, and there’s nothing significant I'd change about my experience with them.

I got a second Bruno chairlift as I needed to replace the previous one. The installation process went smoothly, which was appreciated.
However, I'm a bit disappointed with this new model compared to my old one. The seat cuts into my thighs, making it uncomfortable. Thankfully, my son was able to replace the new seat with the old one, which has improved the comfort significantly. I also noticed that the padding on the arms is minimal, making them rather uncomfortable.
In terms of sturdiness, the stairlift feels solid, so I don't have complaints about that aspect. However, I find the controls difficult to reach, and the footrest mechanism is not user-friendly. My old chair had a lever for the footrest, which was much more convenient than the current design, where I have to adjust it by hand.
I initially rated this experience a 3 out of 5 due to the comfort issues, even though my old chair would have easily been a 5. Overall, while the Bruno stairlift helps me enormously by allowing access to my upstairs bedroom, I believe that improvements could be made to enhance user comfort and ease of use.

My primary need for a stairlift was to accommodate my mother-in-law, who, unfortunately, has dementia but hadn't used the stairlift much due to fear. But, it delighted my life unexpectedly by alleviating my knee pain, which began to subside after just a week of use. I was so pleased that I decided to install a second unit leading to the basement.
The installation experience of our starlift was seamless. The team from James Medical conducted themselves professionally, completing the setup swiftly. They even offered a generous discount for my second stairlift. The stairlift has reliability and ease of use that my dogs enjoy riding up with me as well.
However, I noticed that the foot pad seemed somewhat flimsy. It's in two pieces, and while functional, a sturdier design would alleviate my concerns when I'm adjusting it with my foot.

The lift system curves around and extends three additional steps beyond the mid-landing, with a pivoting function making the dismount straightforward and comfortable.
Even though the initial survey and measurement day was very professional, the entire installation took around 60 to 90 days, due to VA approval processes. But once approved, the installation team delivered excellent service, explaining the operations in detail and leaving all necessary documentation for reference. They were a top-notch crew, doing an incredible job.

Seeing firsthand how the new Bruno stairlift significantly enhances our day-to-day lives is a joy. It allows my father to navigate down to the shower on a different level of the house effortlessly—something that was challenging before.
Despite the tight schedule, managing the installation process with Bruno was a relatively quick affair. Due to our dealings through the VA, we skipped the typical presentation. While the stairlift was a new addition, it was an essential upgrade that fit perfectly into our home's setup—a split-level that once served my father-in-law's needs, too.
We appreciated that the installation was handled smoothly by another veteran—a testament to how well Bruno manages to bundle ease-of-use with quality service. Our old setup didn't need replacement, meaning this one catered mainly to providing access to the lower-level bathroom, benefiting my father's comfort significantly. Though there have been occasional technical quirks, like unsettling beeps, these haven't warranted a formal complaint, and Bruno's swift service is commendable.

I called her back and the rest of the day, she wouldn't answer the phone, their emergency line. Called back the next day for the emergency line. Got a hold of Bruno. They sent a message over. It's a good chair. But I would never recommend their product to anybody after they pulled that with their emergency line. They also have the best warranty and they’ve got a 5-star reputation.
I'm not quite sure how to work the railing, though. It’s motorized, and it comes all the way down to the ground and it could stay there as opposed to going up and down every time you go. Every time you go up, the rail goes up and it sounds like a piece of construction is beeping loudly. Every time you go down, it makes the same noise. There's a way to keep it in position and not have it move but it gets in the way so people want to move it out from the floor. When you want to leave it stationary because no one's coming over for a while and you don't wanna hear the beeping sound, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. That is very annoying. If they could get rid of beeping sound, then it would be perfect. I don't know a way to soften it and they didn't tell us that it was gonna be like that when we bought this. The other thing is they told us that if we wanna leave it in one position so we're not dealing with the stairlift going up and down all the time, to click this red button. It doesn't work, though. The VA purchased a stair lift from Bruno Independent Living Aids for my father-in-law. Both technicians who came for the installation were absolutely fantastic. Mike, the older gentleman, did the initial measurements, and explained to me exactly what he was doing from start to finish. He was the most thorough and super informative.
The quality of the lift is great. However, it does come out a little bit wide, and we figured it out when the technicians were here because they were even questioning how wide it was coming out. Since it's a curved stairlift, and one of the posts at the 90-degree angle is larger, the stairlift sticks out further into the walking path going up and down the stairs to leave room for clearance. Also, we can't fold the chair up so we have to squeeze through to get past it at the top. But that's just a design flaw in the house, not a design flaw with the chair itself. It's just the top of the staircase is a little bit narrow.
With the Bruno stair lift, my father-in-law is able to get up and down the stairs without the risk of falling. He's still struggling to learn how to use it properly, but it's working. It's just a learning curve for him.

Because we were loading him in a car from upstairs, and we were pulling up in our yard with the car, and it was all muddy. This way, we go out through the sliding doors when we get downstairs and onto the concrete and then to the car. So, it’s really been a convenient source of getting into the car when we have to take him to the doctors or church or wherever.
So, it's been a great stairlift. It is easy to use and convenient. It’s a lifesaver. And it gives you more freedom.

I am 91 years old and one of our difficulties at this age is bringing the groceries in the house. We had to bring the groceries in the front door, put them on the floor, walk up the steps, take a couple of bags with us, go back down and get some more. The VA said I should have the stair lift. They chose from the three bids, and they are the ones that got in touch with these people. I got to choose only the electrician, and I had to call one. An electrician came out here, worked on the electrical wiring, and gave me a bill for it. Bruno Independent Living Aids continued the work from there, and did a great job installing the stair lift. The stair lift is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. It has excellent quality, and helps us in a lot more ways than one. I can get in the chair, my wife can hand me the bags, and we can take them to the upper level. It helps tremendously.
We didn’t have anything to do with the price of it except paying $450 out of pocket for the electrician, which I shouldn’t have had. It should have been the VA. Now, I took that bill from the electrician that we paid to the VA and told them what was going on so I could be reimbursed. But nothing ever came of it. Good thing we didn’t have to pay for the chair. So that was a blessing.

I love Bruno. The technicians were great. The first one came and did most of the work. Then the second one was done with his job, and he came and helped finish it up. We had two stairlifts put in, one upstairs and one down. And one of them, when it would be at the top of my stairs, it was beeping. So, he had to come and replace them. And he did.
They were so polite. They were great. They told us all about them. Because I’ve never used a stairlift before. And this is a 1980 house, and it’s got narrow stairs. There’s about a foot between. But they just showed us how to use the stairlift correctly. And they told us that we should have it serviced every year to 18 months. And they were wonderful. I couldn’t ask for two nicer people.

Someone from Bruno did the demonstration, was patient and explained everything in detail. His conduct was wonderful. My father actually got on the stairlift, went up the stairs, and came back down the stairs. Everybody's excited about that because it gives him his own independent part. Everyone else was helping him up the stairs–my sister, my mom, and me. It was taxing. Now instead of us helping him upstairs to go to the bathroom and having to use the commode downstairs, he can go upstairs to the bathroom himself, which is fantastic.
When he goes up, my mother may occasionally walk up alongside of it. But the quality is very good. I've looked at it and it seems to be very stable. It was wonderfully installed. I can't say enough about it. I'm just happy that my dad has wanted to maintain his level of independence. I talked to him the other day and he said, “I'm beginning to feel independent. I can do things for myself.” That's fantastic!

Bruno's representatives were very good. We have a few minor issues with the stairlift but it's nothing major. My mother in law has a real problem with her one arm. So occasionally, she'll hit the button improperly, and sometimes it pops off. So, that's a little inconvenient for us. Also, it doesn't always swing out when she swings it out and swings it back. Then when she gets into the chair, she has to jiggle it to catch so that it goes up and down properly. It's not any issue with Bruno itself. It's just the model of the chair, and it's something we can live with. It's helped tremendously. My mother-in-law wouldn't be able to get up into the kitchen without it.

The installation was smooth and efficient, taking only about an hour and a half. I was very happy. The stairlift fits wonderfully in my older home’s wider stairwell, allowing people to pass easily even when in use. I also have trouble going up and down the steps and walking, and the stairlift's functionality makes a significant difference in my daily life. I use it all the time and it makes my life very much easier.
In terms of performance, the Bruno stairlift has been exceptional, fulfilling exactly what I need given my difficulties with mobility. While cost considerations can always vary, I truly believe the price was reasonable. I really like the product. Thus, it’s no surprise that I rate Bruno highly. I'm very pleased.

Seeing how I walk up and down the stairs to and from the second floor, my daughter decided it was time to look into stairlifts for my home. She called somebody from Alabama that she knows installs stairlifts. There were two different brands and they said that, "Bruno's one of the highest ones we install." We ended up choosing Bruno Independent Living Aids because of what the person said about the quality of the chairlift. During the sales visit, they assessed our wide staircase and took a few measurements, and then installation went smoothly. Facing the staircase going up, the chairlift was installed on the right-hand side. It is up in the start position and down in the start position.
The stairlift works excellently, and there's plenty of room for people to go up and down. It's straightforward to use, drastically improving my daily life by making stair navigation considerably easier—just sit and ride smoothly up and back down.
The quality of the chair is quite impressive. My comfort level with the brand is high, as I'd readily recommend it to friends. In terms of overall satisfaction, I'd rate the experience highly.

The installation process was notably smooth, and any minor issues, like needing a slightly tighter fit post-shipping, were promptly addressed. The stairlift has significantly impacted our lives for the better. My 88-year-old husband relies on it, and it's functioning excellently.
Bruno felt like the right choice because of their straightforward and professional approach. I couldn't be happier with their service and have since called them back to provide an estimate for installing a shower. The installation process went smoothly, and my husband and I are very pleased with how well the Bruno stairlift fits our home. Importantly, it supports up to 400 pounds, which is more than sufficient for us.
We had some concerns about safety when getting off at the top, so we're planning to install an additional bar to steady ourselves better. However, the company's craftsmanship and attention to detail, like how the plug seemed to just blend with the interior, were impressive. The stairlift even matched our wall painting, which was a nice touch.
It's proven to be a true blessing. When our grandchildren visit, my husband can easily escape the noise by going upstairs, again showing how practical it is not just as accessibility equipment but as part of our daily life design.
To sum it up, we are grateful for the excellent job that Bruno did. I wish we'd done it years ago.

I had a stairlift from Bruno installed and it's been a bit cumbersome. The stairlift actually gets in the way when I'm trying to get up and down the stairs, which is frustrating, especially since I handle most of the household chores, like laundry.
When it comes to the stairlift’s intended purpose, it does function well. My husband and brother-in-law use it, and it helps them greatly, which is a positive aspect. However, I was initially assured by the installation team that it wouldn't obstruct regular stair use, so I'm quite disappointed by this unexpected inconvenience.
If I were to rate the overall experience, I'd give it a middle-of-the-road score. Their customer service was satisfactory—they completed the installation as expected, so I'd rate them well in that aspect.

I had the task of dealing with setting up a stairlift for a loved one, and we ended up with Bruno Independent Living Aids due to the arrangement made with UPMC. They handled everything from purchase to installation, so we didn’t explore other options. The stairlift has really been impactful, providing Bailey with much-needed dignity, even though a couple of design aspects impede her independence.
The major issue is with her ability to operate the stairlift alone. A design adjustment like adding a button on the handles for easier maneuvering could really help. The current button on the side tends to fall off easily. I've had to attach one of the remotes to the handle for easier access. Additionally, a rotating button on the control panel could completely change her experience. Right now, she needs assistance to rotate the chair at the top of the stairs for getting off. An integrated, easy-to-use feature to turn the chair would make a significant difference to her independence.
Despite these limitations, the overall stairlift quality from Bruno is good, but these adaptations could really help optimize usage for those with specific mobility challenges. Given the experience thus far, I'd rate the product a 9 out of 10, mainly to highlight these improvements. As far as the installation and overall management by Bruno, they’ve been excellent, deserving a high recommendation, definitely a 5-star for their handling processes.

The installation was quite efficient too, taking only about 2 to 3 hours. In terms of function, the stairlift works smoothly, with a slight beep at both the top and bottom of the staircase. Although I need to sit sideways because of a narrow hallway, this doesn't cause any inconvenience to me. Overall, I find the stairlift to be reliable and efficient.

A family member moved in and needed access to their upstairs room. Last year, we had searched extensively among various models and makes, but ultimately, Bruno stood out. Their reputation for reliability and easy access to repairs were convincing factors.
Their sales representative did a great job—though I don't recall the names, we had several companies come by to present their options. Bruno's offer, combined with good service availability and competitive pricing, meant we felt confident in our choice.
However, after some time, we experienced significant noise issues with the stairlift. Fortunately, it was under warranty, and Bruno replaced the entire bottom section—a process taking a week or two. After the repairs, it ran quieter than ever before and has been functioning perfectly since then.
In terms of the impact, the Bruno stairlift made it possible for us to accommodate our family member. Without it, having her live with us would be impractical. The price-quality ratio of Bruno seemed unmatched in the market compared to others we evaluated—they offered quality that matched their pricing well. With no complicated curves or demanding modifications needed, just a straightforward installation on our wide stairwell, Bruno was suitable in both fit and form.
I'd rate my overall satisfaction with the Bruno stairlift a solid 5 out of 5 and recommending to friends, but on a broader scale, perhaps a 7 or 8, mainly due to the unexpected repairs. That said, the stairlift fits well in our stairwell alongside the benefit of the unit folding up, ensuring space is not compromised—a key consideration in our decision-making.
While there were other brands considered, Bruno's performance stood stronger in areas significant to us and is worth recommending.

The installation went smoothly, and the craftsmanship of the stairlift is impressive. The robust design and the use of hydroformed aluminum or steel rails convinced us of its superior engineering over other quotes we received. The stairlift performs as expected, and we haven't encountered any issues on that front. However, I am still waiting on the permit approval process, which has been delayed by city inspectors.

I settled on the Bruno stairlift due to the impressive knowledge demonstrated by their representatives, especially since I have a curved staircase. Although it was the priciest option compared to companies like Acorn, Bruno left a positive impression on me. The stairlift has been immensely helpful for us; not just for transporting our family member who struggles with stairs but also for moving items up and down. I love it, but we did encounter a small issue when the power went out for several hours. During that time, the chair persistently beeped and announced that it needed charging. This was a bit concerning.
I initially connected with Lifeway Mobility, who facilitated the purchase but later needed to reach out directly to questions at Bruno in Wisconsin. Both were responsive and supportive. While my experience with the technicians during installation was straightforward, I think providing an instructional manual detailing the stairlift's operations would be beneficial. My husband and I didn’t realize initially that the chair could swivel, and clear instructions would have been helpful.
Overall, if we're talking about satisfaction, I’d probably rate my experience a 4. There's certainly value in having others considering a stairlift to be aware of both the positives and areas for improvement like providing that user-friendly pamphlet.

This installation process was straightforward and expeditious, indicating efficiency on their part.
The stairlift quality is impressive, with its safety and functional features working just as I expected. I appreciate the reliable safety mechanisms, particularly the locking system that ensures security when the chair isn't moving. The only minor inconvenience is the seatbelt, which requires a bit of extra effort to secure, but since I don't always use it, it isn't a significant issue for me. I liked that it operates quietly and smoothly with its straight-up and-down design, accommodating 13 steps.
Before making my choice, I researched various stairlifts, yet eventually stuck with Bruno. One reason was their nearby manufacturing in Wisconsin, just a short hop from my location in Illinois. This proximity added to my confidence in their services. I found their customer service commendable. The representative was thorough with the product information and warranty details, reinforcing my decision. The lifetime warranty on the structure, a five-year warranty on batteries, and a one-year labor warranty offer considerable peace of mind. Even when I faced a minor issue with the stairlift not starting due to a locking oversight, the response was immediate and helpful. Their pricing felt fair within the range I'd researched, and for me, at $3,950, it seemed just right among options ranging from $3,500 to $4,500 for a simple straight stairlift.
