Love the upper rack that holds silverware. It can hold a lot and the way it position the knives, upward, so it does not dig into the plastic coating. Common sense will tell you when washing hot, plastic gets warm and knives get hot and start to dig in and then the metal start to rust and break off. Then the middle rack can be adjusted up or down as needed. Damn thing is so quiet, and the only way to tell it is running, the red LED at the bottom is on.

After extensive research on the best dishwasher on the market we found that it was Bosch. We purchased one on 1/30/16 from Sears. Upon delivery they told us that the fact that we were told and there was a sign on the dishwasher we bought that we would get a supply of Finish dishwasher tablets that it was a mistake. I was told to call and deal with Bosch on it did not get anywhere with it. Sears had to come back because it was not hooked up properly before I could actually use it.

After getting it hooked up it worked good for the few months we used it. We are only in the property it was installed in a maximum of 5 months. The dishwasher began giving us an E20 code and when we looked it up online it said pump or motor problem. I called for service first at Sears and was told it would be 2 weeks at least before service. Called Bosch and they gave us a number and was told the same thing 2 weeks at least. Went online to chat with Sears and was told that the pump and motor had at least a 2 year warranty.

Today repairman came said the pump is bad and that the warranty would not cover. They told us to call Bosch directly to talk to them and have been trying all day but cannot get anyone to answer. I am put on hold saying I will be helped by next available person and stay on hold but eventually I am cut off. Frustrating. This dishwasher cost way more than others but we were willing to do it thinking it would be the last one we buy. After hardly using it we are told repair will be between $400 and $500. It is not acceptable. Hopefully eventually someone at Bosch will answer and take care of us but cannot continue calling week after week. It is already going on 3 weeks without the dishwasher we only use a few months anyway.

I recently purchased a home that came with a 2015 Bosch dishwasher. I had Miele dishwashers for the past 20 years and a always extremely satisfied. Always cleaned well and never had any bad odor. I assumed Bosch would be similar quality. I was sadly MISTAKEN! From day 1 I noticed it did not clean nearly as well. First we started making sure all dishware was put in perfectly aligned. Never overlapping, then we began rinsing the dishes more than we ever had in the past, then we tried changing detergent, then we put the machine to the heavy and sanitize settings, still every time we unload... I have to scrub, rinse or polish the dishes, glassware or cutlery. What a pain. My sister in law complained a few years ago that she found her Bosch appliances awful, I figured she wasn’t “treating“ them properly. Now I understands what she means. In the end it is not a good product and can never be compared to Miele.

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one.

Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management.

I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option.

He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. I learned Bosch does not stand behind their products. We purchased a house this summer that has a Bosch dishwasher less than one year old. When the appliance failed, Bosch customer service (Shawn ** specifically) informed me that Bosch will not honor the manufacturer's one year warranty because I was not the original purchaser. I am not talking about an extended warranty that could have been purchased separately, I am talking about the standard one year manufacturer's warranty. A car comes with a standard power train warranty that is transferable, for example. INVESTIGATE: BOSCH's @YOUR SERVICE (AT-YOUR-SVC) (KIRKLAND, WA) PROVIDER FOR FRAUD. FILE NO. **. My BOSCH microwave stopped working on 11/27/2017, I contacted BOSCH customer support and was recommended to schedule an appointment with BOSCH authorized @Your Service (Kirkland, WA) local service provider. The owner/technician showed-up on 11/29/2017, ran microwave for 30 seconds and created an invoice stating that Magnetron, PC board w/ inverter and Control board membrane have stopped working. I requested the technician to at least open up the microwave to check but he declined stating that he has enough (30+ years) experience to know what's going on. I paid $120 for 5 mins diagnostics and was assured that this amount will be used towards the appliance repair.

@Your Service asked me to order parts directly from BOSCH. I paid $300 for all parts and received it last weekend. @Your Service was scheduled to come on 12/14/2017 for the repairs but they declined stating that they don't have time to fix it and were upset that the parts were sent directly to my home instead of their service location. They now refuse to fix the microwave. I have now scheduled BOSCH to repair the microwave on 01/02/2018. I want BOSCH to investigate the following:

    1) How can a BOSCH authorized service provider do the diagnosis to identify broken parts & charge customer without even opening the appliance? Is BOSCH really trying to sell & push more spare parts to customers via these 3rd party providers? 2) What are guidelines for BOSCH to authorize a local service provider? Based on my experience @Your Service (AT-YOUR-SVC) (KIRKLAND, WA) is a FRAUD company, using BOSCH's brand name for business and cheating customers. 3) How can I file a formal complaint to BOSCH management to investigate this and exclude @YOUR SERVICE from being an authorized BOSCH service provider? Happy to engage with a manager/executive to discuss this in detail.

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowe's. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. It's frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, "Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the "fat wheels"." The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher.

So - if you're going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

My BOSCH DISHWASHER is a lemon. The customer service department is incompetent and their repairman broke the bracket on our handle and said to call and get a new bracket to fix it and left. When we called to get replacement piece we were told we would've to pay to fix it because they had no record of it being broken by their repairman. We mailed them our proof with a letter and they offered to pay for the bracket but not the repairman! We purchased a high end Bosch Dishwasher for our new home. Since then we have made over 6 complaints to their inept customer service department. There was also was a recall on this unit after we paid to replace the cord that was defective. On each call they create a new claim number and they act ignorant to the prior complaints. They are masters at avoidance and running the warranty on their appliances.

When you do get them to agree to send a repair crew they send incompetent repair personnel. As to the dishwasher it doesn't clean the dishes. The glasses are always spotted and it's not the water. If you want your plates clean you must rinse and wipe them before they go into the DW. The utensils have to be washed again after they come out as they have food particles on them. We have a family of 7 and the DW is run all the time. We did not have ours for a month when we called for the first service as it would not drain and the dishes were dirty. This continued to happen and they would always walk you through a series of "fixes" before they agree to send out the repairman. Their defect product caused a recall on the part that was causing this issue but they did not tell us until we complained after the second service call.

During the 3rd or fourth service call the repairman snapped the bracket on the door handle. He said we would need to call and order the part and could not fix it after he broke it. Since then we have made complaints and sent letters to BOSCH about the bracket and the failure of the DW to clean the dishes, glasses and utensils. Their customer service department puts you thru the ringer. After requesting supervisors and no calls back when promised several times it escalated up the ladder only to be told that they would pay for the new bracket - but we had to pay for the repairman time!!! THEY BROKE IT!!! It is unbelievable to me the amount of wasted time (and money) that has been spent. They do not stand by their product... they are awful. BTW, we have owned many Bosch DWs and always recommended them - this is the first time with an issues, and it's been awful!!! I will never buy Bosch again due to this!

Bosch sent out a technician every Wednesday for months (requiring that I take time off from work every Wednesday). Monday, November 06, 2017, I received by mail the Bosch "Important Safety Recall Notice - Bosch Dishwashers" letter regarding potential fire hazard. The dishwasher power cord can overheat and it was suggested to STOP using the appliance immediately if you have one of the affected models. I located my model and serial number and found that my dishwasher is affected by the 2017 recall expansion! I immediately went to the Bosch dishwasher recall registration Web page. Based on the information provided and my address, I received a list (only one agency name was listed) of authorized service agents that would inspect and repair my dishwasher at no charge, along with a reference number. So far, so good!

On that very same day, I contacted the repair agency, gave them the information requested and was told they will order the part, and when the part is received they will call to schedule the repair appointment, and told me that it would probably be by the end of the week. By the end of the business week, Friday, November 10, 2017, they never called. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent to ask for update on repair request. I was told the power cord is now expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2017, and the repair will be scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017, between 8AM - 5PM. I was also told the repairman will call me the day before, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, to narrow down the time within a two hour window for Friday's repair.

On Friday, November 17, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent since their repairman was a No Call, No Show. I was told that the repair has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and that the part is still not in "but should be in today or Monday the 20th." And, the repairman will call me on Monday, November, 20, 2017 with the time window for the Tuesday, November 21, 2017 repair. Maelynn, the service agent apologized for not calling to inform me and was not sure who even changed the repair schedule from November 16th to the 21st. Well, it is now Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and I still have NO dishwasher repaired, NO date for a repair, UNABLE to use the dishwasher, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and all the dirty dinner dishes will have to be washed the old fashioned way...by hand. Thanks Bosch for a less than stellar customer service response from your authorized service agency technicians.

When you call expect extended waiting and transferring etc but no one can make a decision, I expect to be taking legal action for their stupidity, I suggest doing your homework before purchasing any of their products.

I registered my Bosch dishwasher on January 24, 2014, the day after it was installed. I have checked my registration online and it is there! The registration form specifically states: "Safety - in the unlikely event of a recall or safety notice, we'll be able to contact you." NEVER HAPPENED! I only found out on the local news on 11/09/17 that a family with a Bosch dishwasher had their home burned down as their Bosch dishwasher started the fire! I immediately called the recall number and they gave me an ID number, but could not book the repair.

They told me to call Bosch, which I immediately did. Bosch gave me the number of the local company that would do the repair. Called them today, 11/10/17 and was told that they only get 1-2 cords every few days and I am #52 on the list! This is not acceptable! Bosch should be making mass amounts of this replacement cord. Seems to me they have are not taking this serious and have dropped the ball. FED UP!

I purchased a Bosch stove from the builder of my new home. Apparently there is a problem with the controls that turn the burners on. I was told by the Bosch rep that this is a safety problem that needs to be addressed. After weeks of trying to get this resolved and hours of waiting on hold and for a repairman I just keep getting the runaround and am living with a product that I was told by Bosch and the repairman that has a safety problem. This is the fifth Bosch product I have purchased and will never purchase another. I purchased this product new from the builder in 2017 and was told by Bosch that by checking the serial # it was produced in 2015. Why was I sold a unit that was over 2 years old?

We bought a Bosch dishwasher SHX series 3 years ago that needed the recall fix. After an hour on the phone trying to get a service call, the repairman was slated for 7am to 5 pm window. When he got here he switched the power cord but the dishwasher did not fit back in slot due to the special new cord. He said I should call an electrician to fix this issue and left. Now I am waiting to pay electrician to fix what the Bosch repairman left me with. BTW the fire and overheating claims started years ago, before we bought the dishwasher, it was not released on the internet that there were serious issues with these devices. I guess Bosch wanted to see how many claims came in before they issued a recall.

A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed by a licensed contractor in a kitchen remodel project malfunctioned just outside the regular warranty period from Bosch. Bosch solicited me through email and regular mail of an extended warranty which I accepted. Prior to signing up, I actually spoke directly to a real person/sales representative of the company about the eligibility for repairs under the extended warranty. I was told "yes" very affirmatively. They took my money and then advised that I could not call in my first repair service for the first month. So I waited patiently and finally called in for repairs. They denied the warranty service by citing "pre-existing" condition.

I'm mad. I tried to explain that it is a condition which had deteriorated over time (washing cycle not completing in different stages) which I had explained to the sales rep from the beginning. Bosch misled me, took my money and made me wait a month to make the first claim only to deny it. I'm so disgusted with the whole process that I just want my money back and take my business elsewhere or buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. They are not giving my money back so I'm venting my frustration. I'm so upset that I have to deal with dirty dishes for a month when I could have just go out and buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher is an expensive model: SHP65TL5UC. I regretted that I also purchased other major kitchen appliances from this company. Don't buy Bosch!!!

Worst customer service! I had an appointment yesterday for my washer and the technician was supposed to call me the night before or morning of the appointment to give me a two hour window. My appointment was in the window of 8-12. I have taken a half day off to be there. No one called. I then called customer service at Bosch and was on hold for 25 minutes just to get disconnected. I called again and was on hold for another 25 minutes. The representative said the technician had an emergency. She put me on with her supervisor who said she was sorry and scheduled me for the next day for a window of 8-5. She said Bosch should have notified me and stated she understood my frustration and admitted over and over that this was their fault. She then states the technician would call me with a two hour window that night or the next morning. She promised I would get a call this time.

Next morning arrives, yes I had to take the day off, and technician did not call the night before or morning of. I called customer service and was on hold for 30 minutes. She calls the technician, on hold for another 15 minutes, to give me the two hour window from 12-2 pm. I waiting and waiting... I then get a call close to 1:30 that he showed up and left because my building wanted to see his ID and he refused to give it to them. Ok, I get that, but why did he leave without calling me directly. Why have a call center call me?

I told the call center I can let him up if he had called me directly. She said no he is not coming and won't come back. She gives me another company she has looked into that can come and fix my washing machine. I called them and they say they do not service Chicago and they are 2 1/2 hours away and they get calls from Bosch all the time and they tell them over and over that they do not service Chicago. I go down to my building to ask why they didn't call me and both the front desk and security said no one from Bosch has been there. The desk always calls if there is an issue. They cannot lie!

I call customer service again on hold for 25 minutes and got disconnected. Called again and on hold for 25 minutes and finally someone gets on the phone. She says she is calling the technician right then. I'm on hold for 15 minutes and then I get disconnected. I call again and on hold for 25 minutes and the rep says he has to put me on hold... on hold for another 20 minutes for him to say the technician didn't want to show his ID, so left. All this has been explained and in the notes... I said I want to speak with a supervisor, because the day prior the supervisor was very apologetic. Supervisor Ray gets on the phone. He says there is nothing he can do. Only reschedule me for November 10th-- two weeks from today or give me a third party number, which didn't work before. He was very rude and would not help in any way. He did care about all I went through and how I already took 1 1/2 days off from work.

Again, the technician lied about coming, but Ray did not care. Why didn't he have someone else service my machine or yet, make him come back? He refused to do anything about. He never apologized until I said you are not even sorry. He tone of voice was awful. I asked to speak with his manager and he said there was no one above him. Hard to believe... I cannot believe how unprofessional he was. It was truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ray the supervisor and the technician should not be employed by Bosch.

When I phoned them the past couple of times for warranty work, they required a diagnosis from a repair tech, to the tune of 195.00 per visit, they would cover parts but no labour. I have decided that it would be in my best interest to replace the defective unit instead of forking out yet another 195.00 for repair costs. They do not stand behind their product as they should.

So I did and went through the videos of many, many other Bosch owners but in the end, none of their YouTube video solutions worked for my dishwasher. So, I bit the bullet and called an appliance repairman who came and fixed the problem after tearing apart most of the dishwasher. I'm sure it indicates this in the book so Bosch is off the hook for a $250 tray. The salesman at Mahlander’s in Sioux Falls was a complete jerk about it. No more Bosch appliances for this family.

April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldn't come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out.

That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadn't heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it.

Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they don't stand behind their product and they definitely don't care about their consumers.

The one star is for the quiet dishwasher purchased. It is quiet probably because it does not work. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because it was supposed to be top of the line in dishwashers. Unfortunately, I was swayed to the quietness and not the cleanliness. The racks are designed for the number of dishes it can wash. Unfortunately, I need to wash frying pans, bowl, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Considering that it holds so many dishes, nowhere is there a China or crystal setting. Worse yet, my load is not complete clean, even on the heavy cycle, even though I am using the recommended Finish products. There is no room for bowls, large dishes. Plastic items have a film remaining behind and pots or fry pans still have food in them and a greasy feel to them. Unless you plan to buy the most expensive Bosch model you would be better off with a less expensive model with generic racks that fit the items you cook with as well as just dishes.

I purchased my first Bosch appliance (dishwasher) on 6/1/17 after making note of an Installation Rebate offer from Bosch via a Bosch Visa Prepaid Card. The stated purchase date was required to be between 5/17/17 and 6/7/17, which it was. I immediately completed the rebate form even though the latest required postmark must be by 7/7/17 (over a month away). They promised reimbursement within 8 weeks and gave a website and phone number to check its status. After 4 1/2 weeks I received a typed response from Bosch saying that they were unable to process the request because it did not meet the cash register receipt requirement (not dated within the time period designated for this offer). I immediately contacted Lowe's, where I purchased the dishwasher. I spoke with the manager on duty and showed him the copies of the rebated offer, register receipt, response from Bosch, etc.

The manager on duty phoned Bosch rebates directly and verified that the date on the receipt "was" within the required date range. He told me that Bosch claimed that the month of "6" looked like a "5". We found this to be strange because it was obvious to both of us that it was a "6" for June. It was/could also be verified by the date on my charge card. If one person was in doubt, due to poor eyesight, they could of easily asked someone else or used a magnifying glass; which shouldn't of been necessary. Anyway, the Lowe's manager spoke with Bosch that it was the correct date, and that they would immediately process the rebate. The Lowe's manager said I should receive it within 2 weeks. After 2 1/2 weeks I checked their website for my rebate status. It recognized my information and gave me a tracking number; plus stated I had to allow more time.

Two more weeks later, I had still not received it (4 1/2 weeks after the Lowe's manager's phone call, and 9 weeks after purchase). I checked the website again for status. This time it never recognized my name/address (even though I had also completed warranty information on 6/20/17 after 6/18/17 installation). It never recognized my tracking number that it gave me 2 weeks earlier; and when I called their phone number, it never recognized my phone number. They had now lost all of my information (or so they claimed). I (we) both thought their first excuse was inexcusable, but possibly a mistake; but after the 2nd 4 1/2 week period it gives every appearance of being a "scam" (intentional). I no longer believe they intend to honor their rebate offers, and just expect most consumers to forget about it, not care about it, neglect to make copies before sent in, etc.; and just pocket the savings (this time for $145).

New house, new DW: this one died within 11 months of purchase and installation. And I am a super-neat-freak "the dishes are almost clean when they go in" dishwasher user. But still, this new Bosch died 11 months in, and 5 weeks after reporting the problem we're still being given the run-around.

And suddenly (lo, presto!) we now, 2 days later, have a leak under our sink, which is adjacent to the DW, from where they pulled the fill/drain hoses and did god knows what. Next time I will camp over their shoulders, video camera on. So: 5 weeks after reporting the Bosch unit's failure, we have no dishwasher, and are unable to use our kitchen sink. I am disgusted.

Have an expensive 8 yr old Bosch refrigerator. Already replaced water pump (about $400.) now door handle broke off at bottom. Bosch CS is worthless. Most repair services don't handle bosch - can't readily get parts. Those that do won't give prices - they want $100 service call to diagnose prob and then order parts for 2nd visit. And can't get price of new handle without a costly visit -- some scam they've got going. It also never produces enough ice. Supposed to be stainless steel - aside from not being stainless it's not magnetic - so what kind of SS is it really. My opinion is to never buy bosch anything.

I have been an advocate for Bosch for over a decade. We purchased our first dishwasher in 2008 and it was awesome. I can't tell you how many people I referred to purchase Bosch products. We recently purchased a new dishwasher in mid 2015 (SHX68T55UC 24" 800 series built in) and it is built super flimsy and has given us problems on multiple occasions. I was getting tired of troubleshooting and recently it just stopped working altogether. I contacted Bosch customer service and basically they said "sorry not on warranty anymore. It will cost you $125 for a service call + $30 for every 15 minutes of labor + parts". This is just wrong. I could not be more disappointed with the quality and service of Bosch. A $1,000.00 dishwasher should last more than 2 years wouldn't you agree?

When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the 'box' which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required 'fix'. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didn't solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasn't fixed.

I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received.

About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasn't a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these "Reviews" but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldn't be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.

We bought this Bosch Dishwasher less than a year ago to replace a previous Bosch Dishwasher which lasted 11 years! Our experience with the last dishwasher was excellent, dishes, cutlery, cleaned impeccably. Not so with the latest one bought from Lowes, a Bosch 300 Series 46-Decibel Built-In Dishwasher (Stainless Steel) (Common: 24-in; Actual: 23.625-in). Cleaning of all dishes and cutlery is inconsistent, with some not properly cleaned, lingering odor at times but livable. We've had the unit serviced twice, first time the technician replaced the water pump, the second time he basically said there was nothing wrong with the machine.

We called Bosch and initially they were empathetic and indicated they would escalate our situation and possibly replace the unit. But after they received the technician service orders, they advised us that Bosch would not replace the unit. So basically we are stuck with a lemon dishwasher that doesn't perform well with no recourse. Needless to say we are very disappointed with this type of service and indifference. We were Bosch Dishwasher fans, not anymore!

It worked for about 4 months. Then it stopped. Waited 10 days and Bosch repairman found small pieces of food in dishwasher and cleaned it - not warranty (owner fault). Said it worked fine and left. Tried to start it and found it didn't work. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned; found more tiny bits of debris and blamed it on that. Surreptitiously replaced power source. Gave me second lecture about how no debris of any sort can ever go into machine. Machine worked for 2 washings and then broke. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned and found more "debris" (2 tiny pieces of tea leaves, 1/10 of small fingernail and one small plastic filament about the same size). Same lecture. Replaced replacement power source. and left. Has worked fine once.

I am left with the definite impression that the Bosch dishwasher is too delicate to be used as a dishwasher - that all items being dish-washed must first be washed by hand. So the dishwasher turns out to be an odd cabinet for storage. I am elderly and the bits found by the repairman would not be seen by me in any event. I am also left with the possible impression that the power source was broken at every step and the dance I was put through was designed to have me pay a $189 charge upfront, although it should have been covered by warranty all along.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a "a service tech" to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained.

I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didn't. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

I bought an entire Bosch kitchen last summer. I was cleaning last month and noticed rust and pitting on the door of the fridge. I called Bosch and they asked me to send in pictures to file a claim, so I did my best to show the pitting in the pictures but the surface glare made it difficult. About 2 weeks after I sent in my official claim email I get a response (the initial receipt of the email said I would hear back within 5 business days).

Bosch informs me that rust is a surface cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty so I call to ask if they saw that there were holes in the stainless door. They said it all looked like surface rust and could be cleaned off. But they were willing to give me 25% off if I want to replace the door. I spent about 10 minutes talking before asking for a supervisor. Talking with the supervisor I was able to get them to send a technician to diagnose if there are actually holes. May 17th: technician confirms that there is uncleanable pitting in the stainless steel door.

Today: May 31st (2weeks since diagnosis) I get a call that they will pay for the parts of the door as a "goodwill gesture" but not for the labor of the replacement. So they admit that their product is bad but won't actually pay to replace it, instead trying to frame it as they are doing me a favor. Absolutely horrendous service, to admit that the door is flawed and provide a new door but make me pay for the labor to replace it (~200$). This has officially been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. The representatives were defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for their faulty product. For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher.

I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting "friends" for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour.

I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into people's homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

I have this Bosch wall oven, model # HBLP451LUC and it has problems with the control panel failing within a few months of using the oven, and according to many other customer reviews I have read online, even after it's been repaired or replaced by Bosch, it fails again. AND Bosch is trying to charge me 200.00 to have the wall oven repaired even though it's still under warranty, using the excuse "you have to pay for us to take it out of the wall and reinstall it".

First of all it's a WALL OVEN and advertised by Bosch as such, meaning it's designed and meant to be installed "in a wall". It is therefore reasonable for BOSCH to assume that if/when repairs are needed, the oven would have to be removed from the wall. At no time during my purchase, or anytime thereafter was I told by Bosch or the retailer that I would have to pay for access to the oven if repairs are needed. It's reasonable for me to assume that it's in Bosch's best interest to make defective ovens, since they'll be able to make 200.00 off every repair (citing access was needed). Some consumers online have stated they've had the control panel on their oven repaired or replaced multiple times while under warranty. Can you imagine how much money Bosch is making off the removal and reinstallation fees.

If you have had repairs done on this oven please contact me asap. Bosch is aware of the problem with the control panel failures on these oven and continues to sell them anyway without disclosure to customers. If you are thinking about purchasing this oven (or any Bosch appliances) please do your online research and reconsider your decision. Do you want to be without an oven for weeks at a time every time Bosch needs to do repairs? Do you want to have to pay 200.00 every time the control panel fails and they have to repair it? Do you want to have multiple Bosch appliances failing in your kitchen on a regular basis?

In my opinion, Bosch is not a company who practices integrity and does not meet it's legal obligations to its customers. The quality of Bosch appliances falls far below acceptable standards. If you are in the market for new appliances I would strongly advise to stay away from anything BOSCH. You will regret purchasing their products. I have. I also have the speed oven and it too has had nothing but problems and design flaws....and according to online reviews I'm also not the only one with problems with that oven as well. My husband initially contacted Bosch about the problem & he was told they would send an Australian charger free of charge but it would take 2 to 3 weeks to receive it. So I waited 2 weeks had heard nothing. So I contacted them when they brought the file up they turned around & said that it had been written down on my file that they could not send me the charger free as they had to order one from Germany & it would have to be paid for which would cost me $67. But they had not contacted to me to tell me this. So anyway I agreed to buy the charger as I could not use the vacuum without it.Again I was told 2 to 3 weeks for me to receive it.

Another 2 weeks passed nothing as yet. So I decided to ring them again. That was Monday 20/2/ 2017. I was told it wasn't 3 weeks until Friday the 24/2/2017 & to ring back then if I had not received the charger. So I rang again Friday as I still did not have the Charger. Spoke with the same women & she said the order had been completed & could not find the tracking for the charger. So she said she would try & find where it was & get back to me which she did about 20 min later & I was told it was leaving their warehouse on Monday. I specifically asked the women by the name of Tracy if it was definitely a Australian Charger I was getting sent to me & her reply was yes.

Monday morning 27/2/2017 the charger was delivered to my doorstep. I opened the box & it was another UK Charger. I immediately contacted Bosch & was quite cross with them. The man I spoke with said he would pass on the what had happened & Bosch would be in contact with me to give me details to send the charger back & get a refund.

I contacted Bosch again today 2/3/2017 due to not hearing anything. I gave the women my order number so she could bring my file up to see what had been going on. I asked her why no one had contacted me about the return & refund. She put me on hold for a couple of minutes then when she came back I could hear her superior in the background asking her to ask me if I had opened the charger because if I had they could not take it back or refund my money. My reply was of course I have opened it how else was I going to know that you had sent me the wrong charger again. So the women told me they could not take it back or refund my money.

I told her the plastic & the tie was still on charger & I wanted may money back as this was their mistake or I was going to take it further. The women said she would see what she could do & get back to me but I have heard nothing. So I am at my wit's end I have a brand new $440 Vacuum that I am unable to use with no charger to fit it & no refund on the UK charger.

Bosch told us if the technician says it's safe to use your oven it's safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if there's a future problem. They'll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

We had a long power cut yesterday. My washing machine was working at the time of the power cut. When the power came back on again the machine showed a warning light that indicated there was a problem with the motor. I tried the Bosch website and found a section about self-help and put in the model number - it was not recognised so I contacted Bosch customer service. I explained the problem. They were supremely UNHELPFUL; said I needed an engineer and offered to book one with a £95 call out. I searched online 'how to reset my Bosch washing machine after a power cut'. The instructions were simple and took about 20 seconds to complete. SHAME ON YOU YET AGAIN BOSCH. Previously I had tried to buy new baskets for my Bosch dishwasher but at £126 EACH I did not!!! I bought a Bosch WDT55 condensing clothes dryer in July 2016. It has never worked consistently. Sometimes it dries the clothes, other times it leaves me with a load of wet laundry. I tried to return it to the shop after one day but they refused. The 'engineer' came out and said that nowadays dryers are not supposed to dry clothes completely. I explained that it is an intermittent problem. When it works I have no problem with it. It's about twice each month when it leaves the clothes wet that I am inconvenienced. The engineer said he would ask Bosch and call me back but now says they have never got back to him. I called Bosch customer service and got a man who did not believe me when I said the clothes were wet, as in toes of socks can be wrung out. He said if that is so, I need an engineer to come out. But this is an intermittent problem. I cannot make the machine produce the wet clothes the moment the engineer gets to the house.

Bosch customer liaison have this spiel about EU regulations and not being good to dry clothes completely. I get that but they refuse to believe that my machine has a problem. They said maybe I am drying the wrong mixture of clothes!! They are the most condescending bunch who have learned this 'lecture' about 'modern efficient dryers' that I could give in my sleep now. I am in my 60s, have lived in several countries and have never had this particular problem before. Is there some way to get through to Bosch?

DON'T BUY A BOSCH DISHWASHER. I purchased my dishwasher April 2016. I am very dissatisfied with it. I always have an odor, dishes don't dry and I have tried every one of the suggestions to have dry dishes and none of them do the job. I rinse my dishes first and I don't wash them everyday since I am alone. Lately I have been getting black mold on mostly the plastic containers.

I've had several different dishwashers over 40 years and this is the first time I'm having this problem. It is very quiet. Today I spoke with customer service and was told I should do a rinse everyday because it is very air tight and there is no heating coil. I've tried the Extra Shine feature which raises the temp to further enhance drying results. Well, it doesn't work. If I have a dinner party and need to wash more than one load, I have to dry the dishes. The best dishwasher I had was the KitchenAid which I want again. I have a service man coming out to have him smell the odor. I had to throw away wooden spoons, covered with black mold, washed and stayed black. The only thing about this dishwasher is it's quietness. I would gladly have a noisy one that works fine. Another thing, it takes 2 hours or more to complete a cycle.

We had a new kitchen last March and decided after much research we would buy Bosch appliances, supposedly they are very reliable. Unfortunately we found them not to be! We purchased 6 appliances at a cost of around 5k. After 1 week the extractor decided to not work. I informed Bosch and they came out and repaired it although it took 2 visits, though I must say it is not easy getting them out when it suits and I ended up taking a day off work.

Whilst he was there on his 2 visit I reported the fridge/freezer was not getting cold. The engineer advised switching it off and then switching it back on at the lowest level to see if that sorted it, it didn't. Another call to Bosch and another visit from an engineer. He advised that the fridge/freezer needed re-gassing. I advised him it was a brand new fridge only a month old and I wasn't prepared to accept a repair and insisted on a new one. Bosch agreed and duly delivered a new one, this meant getting my kitchen fitter back in as it was integrated, again more time off.

Now 9 months in and the main oven has a problem, after putting it on the self-clean setting when it had finished we opened the door and the glass cover clip had broken. Again another call to Bosch and another day off to accommodate the arrival of the engineer. I must say I am very disappointed in first the products and secondly Bosch's customer service. They are very slow in coming back to you and not very cooperative either. They have agreed to cover all the appliances for an extra year on top of their 2 year guarantee but it is the inconvenience of it that really annoys me. Let's hope the remaining 50% of the appliances stand the test of time! Great appliances though when working!

So... I'm standing in the kitchen around 11 pm, watching a soccer game, getting ready to take the dog out. The bottom oven was on Proof at 95 making yogurt. I hear pop! pop!, look over at the 6-year old Bosch double oven. Flame is coming out of the vent at the top left of the oven. I walk over & blow on the flame. It goes out but is still smoking so I get the fire extinguisher & spray the vent a couple times. I spend the next hour or so cleaning up white powder that spread a lot further than I would have expected.

Next day I call the local Bosch Certified Technician. We pull the ovens out so we can see the control boards behind the control panel at the top. Main control board has four melted relays as well as a bundle of burnt wires. Tech says he is going to recommend the oven be replaced instead of repaired, that there is probably more damage that will show up later and we will never trust this oven again. Tech takes a picture to send to the Bosch regional rep along with his report & says to call Bosch customer service. CSR says they need a copy of the original sale receipt. Of course, we cannot find it. I send the original packing sheet and call again. Different CSR says she will see if they can find it in their system & gives me the File #.

Call again & CSR says they have enough info so it has been submitted to upper management, should have response in a couple days. The response: Bosch will replace the oven with the current equivalent model prorated. That means if we pay them $1649.50 (half the MSRP) they will remove the burnt oven, ship & install a new oven. I say My oven should not start on fire! Bosch should replace it with an oven that won't burn up without cost. CSR says he will submit my request. 2nd response is the same. The oven was part of a Bosch package including stove top, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer, refrigerator & tankless hot water heater. The control board burst into flame & apparently Bosch has no interest in finding out why. We rejected Bosch's offer & purchased a different brand.

He chipped my counter which I had to fix, he had to break the door hinge because it was fine before he came, but after coming twice to repair it, the squeal is still here. Said it was the drain pump, so they replaced it, but it still squeals. They admit they are not familiar with working on Bosch but Lowe's picked them to work on it. Not sure why. So Lowe's will replace as under extended warranty, but I hope to pick a kitchen aid instead. Stupidly we believed the hype about Bosch products. Dishwasher was too small for regular size dishes, who knew, Bosch dishwashers were built for the smaller European dishes. Washing cycles were hours in length, no such thing as a quick wash! Had to be replaced after 5 years with a Kitchen Aid which works fine.

Front loading washer (supposedly top of the line) needs to be wiped down after each use, and propped open to prevent mold. Can't run spin cycle only when necessary. Would sure like that feature since the washer doesn't always get all the water out of the load. Plastic window cracked and came off the frame almost to the day after the warranty expired. The scotch tape looks so attractive holding the plastic window in place.

And the dryer WOW what a poorly engineered appliance. The door fell off! Thank goodness for "YouTube" where my husband found instructions to order the door part and to repair the door. And, I just love cleaning the entire length of the filter after 2 or 3 loads because the "filter" and I use that term loosely doesn't filter. Lint, etc. gets stuck at entrance to the filter and also on the other side of the filter and BTW the filter needs to be washed about once a month because the filter screen gets covered with something.

When we had the repairman out to repair the heating element I mentioned the filter problem and he said he heard that complaint a lot. Fix it! And thank you very much I'll decide when the clothes are dry not the dryer which 9 times out of 10 cases, the clothes aren't dry and I'll decide if I want to use the wrinkle free function not the dryer which again is trying to prevent wrinkles in damp clothes. Hello, Bosch, you get wrinkles in damp clothes! Never again will we buy a Bosch product, they are the worse.

We had a Kitchenaid that did not clean the dishes as well as the Bosch (I found this out when I got the Bosch). The Bosch has a better rating for reliability. The KitchenAid I replaced was top of the line and it died at 8yrs old. My wife says the Bosch holds more dishes and is easier to load. One tip, whom ever installs it should read the directions carefully (some plumbers are over confident they know how to install these. End up not getting the drain hose placed properly and the power cord) as these two exit the back of the dishwasher and when pushed into the cabinet they could have a chance to get crushes or tangled up or under the machine.

The hose and cord need to pulled to take up the slack as the machine is pushed back in place. The drain hose needs to be 20" higher than where it exits the machine before going to the sink drain. Some folks complain of a foul smell from these machines and I feel the plumbers did not install them right. My sister in law has a Bosch and the cabinet inside stinks awful, mine has No Smell after a month of use. That's why I feel the install by the plumber is faulty. I always bought KitchenAid but felt the quality has gone downhill and am very pleased with this Bosch... Cleans super well.

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner they're turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing.

I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1" shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyone's kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.)

The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Bosch's engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I don't blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad "board", I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front.

The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

When the tech came it took him 10mins to say it probably needed a new control panel but he wasn't sure that would fix the problem. New part costs $750 ($250 for 1hr of labor!!!). When I asked him if we got a "lemon", he said no, this is normal. WTF. Never buying Bosch again!!!

Long story short, I bought a 500 series Bosch and after 2 months it started malfunctioning. I must say Bosch Customer Services did try to fix it by replacing two computers and a pump, but it still malfunctioned. They finally replaced it after numerous calls, service calls and emails. I bought a different brand. Bosch did call me back unprompted by a call from me to see how things were going and even after it was replaced, I got a call from one of the managers about problems with a dealer refund. I found them to at least care about their customer to go out of the way to assist me. As for the product and I have had Bosch's before, it was a lemon. Previous bosch dishwashers were great and my niece even has the same one I had but hers worked beautifully. After an 8 month ordeal, I don't think I would buy one again, but it's only because I don't want to ever experience this amount of hassle again over anything.

Checked on his laptop to discover the wrong part had been ordered anyway & was not booked out to any engineer. Proceeded to contact Bosch & was told a repair could not be arranged for another week. Does NOT dry the dishes, even when using the sanitize feature and rinse aid. Have to spend extra time drying dishes at end of cycle! This dishwasher is a bust and a ripoff so far as I'm concerned since they charge above average price for below average performance.

I was also dismayed by the extremely small amount of dishes that could be loaded due to the small spaces between the tines and the direction of them. I could not get anywhere near the same load in as my great whirlpool prior to this. I usually do one load a week or less. I filled the washer to try as the manual says the product comes with a smell!! Really! Could the installer or salesman explain this or say what to do about it? Then after the load it was still wet inside and still stinks. I've had it and it's only been 5 days.

We got our Bosch dishwasher 2 weeks ago. It was very labor intensive to set up. Too many bells and whistles. Also we did have a problem with water accumulation. We were told to use the extra shine button. This works. However we have to make sure we are here when the dishwasher is done so we can open it right away to let out the steam. So we have to take the extra step of setting the timer. Also it takes a very long time- 2 1/2 hours for the cycle to get done with the auto button and the extra shine button.

Also the amount of dishes you can put in seems small. The plus here is that the dishwasher is very quiet. We got the Bosch hoping for an energy efficient machine. We do have to rinse the dishes first so that also takes up extra water. Perhaps this is a good model if you are a caterer, but cumbersome for general household use. My old broken down dishwasher did a better job of cleaning and drying in half the time. It's actually easier for me to wash my dishes by hand unless we have company.

Installed new "factory fresh" Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.

Based on the other reviews I've read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem I've read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).

Why didn't the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporation's bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors.

It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

I recently moved into a new construction townhome with a Bosch Dishwasher. I immediately noticed the dishwasher had some issues and a pump ran for about 3-4 days after the cycle was finished. I called Bosch customer service and they said if they sent someone out and there was an installation vice a mechanical error I would be charged for the trip despite the dishwasher still being under warranty. I can understand that if they didn't do the installation they would not be responsible for installation issues, but charging for the trip (I can't remember the price, but it wasn't insignificant) is ridiculous when it's a brand new dishwasher.

How am I expected to know what the problem is? I didn't know what the source of the problem was, so I decided to wait and contact the installer. I finally got an appointment made through the installer about a month later (the repairman was actually a Bosch employee anyways). He determined the tub was cracked and not repairable. I will admit it took me about a week to send them my closing documentation from the house (proof of date of purchase), although I feel like they should have a record of sale to the builders someplace. The appointment was in mid June. It is now end of August and I still don't have my dishwasher.

Bosch called me once by accident and said they would be in touch within 24 hours to confirm I was eligible to have my dishwasher replaced. I called them multiple times to see what the hold up was, they never had a good excuse (kept saying it would be 5-7 business days to verify that I was eligible for replacement). I don't know how long it takes to verify that a dishwasher is less than a year old, but apparently it takes Bosch over 2 months. What finally broke my cool and had me write this interview was my final few calls with Bosch and the installer. I called the installer and they said they were only waiting on the approval paperwork from Bosch and said they would call Bosch again to have it sent. I called Bosch again the next day and they said they would send the paperwork within 30 min.

I called the installer for the, hopefully, final time today and discovered they finally have the paperwork, but they don't actually have a dishwasher for me yet and won't have one for another 3 weeks! This is absolutely ridiculous. I can put up with a lot, but the level of incompetence and amount of blame passed back and forth between the installer and Bosch is intolerable. They obviously do not stand by their product and are incapable of processing the simplest paperwork. This is actually the first review I've ever written, I know that makes some people disregard it, but it's because of their complete incompetence I feel infuriated and obligated to get this experience in writing. I didn't even use any swear words. Their product isn't bad from what I can tell, but they need to fix their customer service.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for two years now. Last October (after having it for 14 months) I finally figured out what was on my dishes when I removed them from the dishwasher after running them through the cycle. IT WAS MOLD. I called Bosch, I wrote to Bosch - finally they agreed to send someone out to check out my dishwasher for which I would be responsible for paying the service fee. At first I agreed and then phoned them back and said I would not pay it as I felt the dishwasher was still considered new.

They did eventually send someone out - a 19 year old boy who walked into the house 'knowing what my problem was'. He said this happens a lot because people don't bother to clean out the food trap at the bottom of the dishwasher and the accumulating food is causing the mold. Hmmm. Well, he took my dishwasher apart and surprise! There was nothing in the trap. I did not bother to tell him that I thoroughly rinse all the dishes/silver before placing it in the dishwasher. He did not know what to say so he just said he would get back in touch with Bosch. He said possible it needed a new control board.

Well after going back and forth with Bosch - and tossing out ALL my dishes, silver and glassware due to it being infected with the black mold - I was told to run it through a clean cycle using a solution. I did this and was afraid to use my dishwasher in case it came back... Well, this morning when I unloaded the dishwasher - IT'S BACK! I'm not even going to try again - I will go out this weekend and buy a different brand. Now my microwave that I bought at the same time - has gotten steam under the glass on the front door for the longest time. Noticed a few months ago that the plastic around the outside of the window is cracked in two places. Will I ever purchase another Bosch appliance? NEVER!

DO NOT BUY BOSCH APPLIANCES. Lousy quality, terrible, unethical and helpless customer service, supervision and management policies. I currently own several thousand dollars of expensive Bosch appliances that are in my judgement and based on experience, poorly designed, poorly engineered, poorly fabricated with deficient materials & components and assembled with lousy craftsmanship Poorly made products indeed, contrary to other high quality Bosch tools, equipment and electronic components used in German made cars. The microwave oven [HMB5050/01] is sitting there for more than six months waiting for Bosch to authorize me to take it to a local dealer at no charge for their required service inspection. It is unacceptable, unreasonable and unethical that the microwave oven is totally useless after only a year+ and should have to be replaced under warranty even if it had expired a few months prior.

Now, for whatever reason the SS refrigerator doors are rusting!!! badly [B26FT70SNS/04]. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for any 300 series quality ASME SS to rust in this day and age, it is terrible that your customer service rep argued on the 10 yr warranty first that it was the cleaning product we use [none-my wife will not use any chemicals] and then that warranty only covers rusted perforations!!! I understand manufacturing quality problems that escape inspection or lousy purchasing specifications for defective austenitic steels [industry wide problem] but expect for the manufacturer as reputable as Bosch [was] to back its products ethically and accordingly to the nameplate they carry. The ice maker doesn't work, the shelving pops out, and it cracks easily.

The dishwasher’s [800 SERIES SHE68R55UC] text by the buttons has faded away and sometimes it doesn’t dry completely and to top it all, I did not get my full $1500 rebate from Bosch when I purchased all the appliances under a ridiculous excuse on some of the appliances [“we don’t recognize the serial numbers”]. Reading throughout the enormous quantity of negative internet posts it looks like this should be a recall issue. I was hopeful that Bosch would come through as you all have with other customers but they didn’t. Their policies are not applied in a consistent manner; A reviewer at Amazon said "I was very pleased that Bosh arranged to have my microwave fixed, even though it was 3 years out of warranty. I encourage anyone with similar problems to contact them rather than rant and rave about the problem, give them a chance to make it right.” Well, not to me regrettably.

Now, the dryer stopped working so I call a repair service. $450.00 later, the unit still does not work. I called directly to Bosch to see what they could do about my problem. They sent a tech to review the problem and he diagnosed it as a failed control module. Bosch wanted me to pay for the service and the part which would have been another $300.00 or so. To total this cost so far ($750) if I replaced the part is not a good idea because I could get a new dryer for about $800.00.

I feel that Bosch product is inferior and service is "zero". As a small business owner, I think this is disgraceful. I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??

Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water.

How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.

I use the dishwasher another month and the same things started happening. I called customer service and talk to the same woman that I had spoken to last summer. She is very nice and very helpful and tried her damnedest to get me a replacement dishwasher.

The company told her since there had only been one repair they could not replace the dishwasher that I would have to have a second repair done on it. So that is scheduled for next week but I also had her note in my account that this is the second repair on the same dishwasher for the same problem as I am now out of warranty. There are only two of us in the house so the dishwasher does not get run that often. When it does work it cleans the dishes nicely and it is very quiet. I agree the racks are not the greatest and they do fall off the track and you have to look them up to try to get them back on but that I can deal with. The bottom line is that this is a 5-month old appliance that is bad and Bosch continues to play games to avoid honoring their own warranty. Why did we fill out the warranty cards in the first place if they can't use them. I will never recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. Not because we have a problem with their product. Worst dishwasher we've ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are tiny. Forget about putting bowls in the lower rack, if you do you can't add plates as they bump up against each other. The lower rack falls off the track if the bottom rack is fully loaded and then you have to pick it up and try to get it back on track. The SMELL - OMG, since day one we have removed the strainer in the bottom, rinsed it and allowed it to dry in between washings - noticed an inch of water in the well at the bottom - which adds to the smell. Called repair and they simply state, "That's the design." Well let me tell you the design sucks!

Never in my many, many years of owning dishwashers have I EVER dealt with a smell like this. It is embarrassing when you have company and open it as the entire kitchen ends up smelling like a TRASH HEAP! So now we buy deodorizers to keep the smell at bay, and rinse agent to help the dishwasher do its job, and detergent, and dishwasher cleaner, 4 products - unreal. Who knows maybe they are in cahoots with the manufacturers of these products (or who knows maybe they are the ones who make them - because their dishwasher SUCKS! Did I say that already?).

Bought floor model from Lowe's. As a Lowe's employee I am well aware of Lowe's deficiencies and should have expected that they would sell a returned item without the parts needed for installation. Bosch's do not direct wire; they need a custom connector for the electrical connection. But I called Bosch and told them the parts were missing. Their rep took all my information and promised to send them. Then they emailed back to me (which I failed to notice) and stated their "supervisor" (super ** or super **) stated since it was a "floor model" I would have to take back their promise and I would have to pay for the parts. Did not include part numbers, how much, etc. to make it even harder for me to order. This is causing a 10 day delay in installation, etc.

Just know Bosch which wants $800-2000 for a dishwasher is willing to sell their reputation for some parts revenue. Thought these Germans were smarter than that but obviously the South was the wrong place to locate their plant. Obviously I am very pissed off about this.

I am a plumber in Sydney. I always recommended Bosch or Smeg dishwashers to customers when doing kitchen renovations I used to have a Smeg dishwasher which was very user friendly then I changed to Bosch which is my biggest downfall in appliance selection & recommendations, since having it I have found: #1. It not washes soap off properly & we were told not to use the finish tablets. #2. Racking system bottom rack loses wheels all the time & top & bottom racks folds & doesn't hold dishes properly. #3. Faults with drainage system always happening & I always need to reset system holding start button down 10 sec #4. Now it has a fault E15 flashing & drain continues to drain - I even payed for extended warranty which doesn't cover much not happy. I thought Bosch had a much much much better quality dishwasher than this.

My Bosch dishwasher smells. Bought at Best Buy. I see another review June 2016 a few days ago has the exact same issue. It smells no matter what I do. I wish I had not bought it. The Bosch company was kind and offered to send a technician for free, but I see other reviewers have the same issue with no solution. It just plain stinks after each wash, even after cleaning the filter after every wash, using the recommended brand of detergent pods, and paying more for cleaning fluid every couple weeks. My dishes stink, especially the glasses. When I drink, it smells like dead fish in my water glasses.

From the first day of unwrapping the dishwasher it had an awkward smell. After initiating use the smell worsened which led me to calling Bosch since it was under warranty, I explained that there was a really bad smell and while cleaning the filter notice that a small amount of water remained after each use. I assumed there was a drainage problem hence keeping water which would cause the smell.

The customer rep was rude from the beginning and initially told me there was nothing they could do, after hashing it out she confirmed it was under warranty and scheduled a technician to come out. The tech checked it said it was running perfectly and that it is normal for a small amount of water to remain at the bottom. He told me to use liquid instead of powder or the small pacs. I have bought dishwasher cleaner, rinsed it with vinegar, Clorox and still it smells awful. I have another home and many friends with dishwashers and despite any reason they do not smell as much as mine... I am so unhappy. I hate using it, secondly it does not clean well. I am going to try to inquire about a refund. I will never buy a Bosch product of any kind for any of my homes. My Bosch dishwasher was purchased from Best Buy.

Purchased 2 dishwashers from Sears. One went to daughter. Hers broke down in first month of having it. Customer service gave us two repair companies to call. Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way.

I had to call again because now a second or third part I didn't know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. I talked to so many customer service people and they didn't know what was going on. Talked to a manager and she was condescending and no help. No thanks, Bosch is worthless.

We bought a $800 Bosch washing machine. Not cheap. After 2 months one day we opened and it looked like some clothes had got stuck in the door. This shouldn't happen as the door should need a vacuum seal to close. We had to call Bosch who failed to organise a repair - we had to book them ourselves. Apparently as there is a tiny break in the seal of the door that's not covered by warranty and will cost us over $200 to fix. Their repair company not easy to deal with and drawn out. We would have been better to have bought from another company. My wife 8 months pregnant and not happy, Bosch. :(

I had a repairman come out while it was still under warranty and he just said I needed to use different detergent. Tried that and still doesn't clean properly and continues to get worse. Their customer service says there is nothing they can do. Have given up and am buying another brand. Would never buy a Bosch again.

We looked long and hard for a new range and decided on this based upon the reviews we saw and reputation on Bosch. We use it a lot, especially for stews, pasta and other sauces etc. Unfortunately, this range cannot simmer... I wrote to Bosch and it was suggested that we buy one of their woks. Not interested in cooking pasta sauce in a wok. We bought an outdoor cast iron replacement grill and have been using that on top of the range, but we invested a lot of money for a 'great' range and have to pile up outdoor grills so our dinner doesn't burn? Also – beware of the broil, for garlic cheese bread and most fish we've always kept the door cracked open a bit. Can't do that anymore. Open the door the broiler shuts off. This stinks. We are so disappointed.

I wish I had something good to say about my Bosch kitchen appliances. I redid my kitchen oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, and dishwasher with Bosch products. I lasted about a month with the dishwasher and told my husband I wasn't going to live the next five years with it. I replaced it with a Kenmore and couldn't be happier.

The Bosch racks were terribly, inefficiently configured - that was my worst complaint. It smelled sour. The microwave is OK as far as doing the job, but it's not handy in any way and is impossible to clean because for one thing I can't reach the back of it without a step stool. You have to put in the number of minutes and seconds every time you use it. The convection oven doesn't thrill me at all. My cookies turn out pasty and it doesn't seem to do anything any faster at any temperature.

Same old oven as far as I'm concerned. I bang my head on the exhaust fan whenever I try to see what is on the back burner. The burners on the cooktop are too big for the pots, except for the smallest ones. The knobs on the cooktop get very hot and are hard to adjust with a pot on them. Let's see if there is anything good I have to say. They look pretty, but the engineers who designed them have never even boiled water much less cooked a meal, and they have certainly never cleaned them or even used them.

Bought both a Bosch Hedge trimmer and a Pressure washer with some money I had been given as a present. I, like many other people, had been brainwashed into thinking that German products were the best and that by buying Bosch, I'd be buying a good product. Firstly, the Hedge trimmer seemed ok, used it once or twice until the third time it seized up and refused to work. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and was given a new one. That one too, seized up and blew the RCD in the house. The internals had fallen to pieces (cheap plastic). I took that back and got a Black and Decker instead. Worked brilliantly, and still does ten years on! Pressure washer next. Used once. Seemed ok. Not brilliant but average. Used a second time and the lance fell to bit spraying me in the face!!! Cheap and nasty plastics! Took it back and was given another one. Motor failed on that one after 2 months of average usage! Bosch? CRAP!

I had purchased Bosch washing machine (Model No. WAK24168IN/03) on 18/01/2016. On 03-02-2016, I found the washing machine throwing E-18 and stopped working. It was also giving electric shock on touching. Immediately, I called the customer care and registered complaint and they provided technician within 2 days. Technician informed us that drain pump got damaged and needs to be replaced with a new pump which will be fixed on 08-02-2016. From that day to till date, we had no information on the status from Service Center. We kept calling several times and asking the update on the status. They simply gave some stupid reasons and kept ignoring our calls. Finally, they gave us the number ** of senior authority from Bosch Services who had kept awaiting us by telling that he will call and update on the status, and kept postponing the dates without giving any info on the status.

I have lost my patience following up the poor and reckless customer service, as it wasted my time as well as money on the name of the brand just for a spare part. If this is the situation of service in the warranty period, then I just can't imagine what will it be after that period. I also pity on customer service who cannot give any information on the address of their Service Center. Washing machine is a very important home appliance in a daily life and we cannot waste any more time on following up people from one side with no response on the opposite side which delayed and disturbed routine planned schedule. Hence, I request you to refund the money or to do the service as quick as possible since it is already one month with no update on the status from the Service Center either through mail/phone.

We bought a high-end Bosch dishwasher from a big box store three years ago and have recommended it to everyone we know. We always loved how quiet it worked, how clean our dishes were, and the cool features Bosch has like the third rack for silverware. However, last week it just quit working out of the blue. Upon further inspection, the Bosch-supplied junction box had MELTED, along with the wiring. A quick Google search indicated that Bosch dishwashers develop mysterious and dangerous problems after three years... when they are out of warranty. As a matter of fact, check their recall record: my dishwasher SHOULD be part of the massive recall since the power box melted (the very problem they were seeking to remedy with the recall), but Bosch Customer Service says it is not.

They (falsely) told me they would cover the problem anyway, but then the day the repairman came out, told me they would not only not cover it, they would not even ORDER the part I needed until I could provide proof of ownership. When I did, then they said they would not order the part until a written diagnosis was provided by the tech (who has other house calls to make?). I shudder to think how many more hoops I will have to jump through JUST TO GET THE PART, let alone who is going to pay for it. I've worked my way up the Bosch customer service personnel list just to get to the same dead end. Bottom line: They have a neat product, when it works. But I wish I had known at the time that it's not well-made, it will not last, and they will not stand by it. Oh, and it just might burn your house down as it almost did mine. BEWARE!!!

Our SilencePlus 42 dishwasher worked well for 11 months. Then the control selection panel at the top of the door failed. This is a big disappointment for a high end product such as this machine. Love it in all other ways, but now I am concerned with overall quality for the years to come. This is a fairly standard feature on nearly all other dishwashers including the 10 year old machine we replaced. Never had an issue in the past.

Bosch 1000 rpm 6kg 15 Prog Classixx. I like Bosch products because they last well. They're expensive to buy, compared with other brands, but cheaper in the long run (and therefore also better environmentally). The reviews for this product were good as well, which is always a big factor for me. I wanted a general purpose model, which is why I chose this one. I didn't need anything special as I don't do any specialist washing (very dirty or extra large items, for example). I've had this washing machine since October 2004. I don't know whether or not this model of the Bosch washing machine range still exists, but I would recommend it simply because the machine has always performed well and washed satisfactorily, it's about average cost to run (slightly better than that, actually) and it's never broken down in the eleven plus years I've had it.

Bosch washing machine. Plenty of washing programmes. Good value for money. Quick wash is excellent. I have had the machine over ten years and would buy the same make again. Energy efficiency, brand reputation and price. Dryer would be a different purchase. I would look around and see the best one on the market so do not dry as well as others. A product that does not start to rust within the first twelve months, and no paint chipping and find out cost of spares. Some makes are expensive to repair.

Very pleased with Bosch washing machine. I always get a clean wash. The one thing that does annoy me is the powder tray. This gets so black and over the years I have found weak bleach solution will clean the tray (when removed), but even this fails to stop the holes above the dispenser, becoming blocked with the black slime (caused by washing powder and plastic). I have had the unit replaced twice. I would like all manufacturers to try and resolve this problem. Rather expensive over ten years, but so far no other problems.
