Door handle of Bosch Washing Machine broken... tried to get a technician for the past 24hrs. Appointment was confirmed for today and nobody showed up, Customer Service Officer not capable to reach the Technician as they are in UK - I am in Singapore! What a useless company - not to recommend at all! You pay luxury prices for their appliances and the service simply sucks!

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didn't live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher.
About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks.
I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said she'd call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didn't call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone.
I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You don't want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely don't want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesn't either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

Purchased a dishwasher and oven in 2007. The DW was rated #1 and environmentally friendly... It's not ... It requires expensive rinse agents and it doesn't clean the dishes. The heating elemental either never worked or broke just outside of the 1-year-warranty. We had purchased the extended warranty so at least they fixed it.... But it still cost that added $150 bucks. The convection oven was also $1000 and doesn't cook several trays of cookies perfectly as advertised...not worth the money. Two years ago the main computer module fell off the back... The glue dried out that held it in place. Thankfully we "jerry-rigged" it back. Now the oven door won't close properly, so the oven turns itself off. We called for service and they said the part is $240 plus $150 for labor. I called customer service to see if they could help out... Nope... They blame me... I must have set something too heavy on the door.

Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. If you want a product that a manufacturer will stand behind do not by Bosch. I spend almost $1000.00 on this junk - it is going back.

My 4-year-old dishwasher has not given me clean dishes or silverware from day one. I always need to recheck each item and then rewash almost 3/4 of everything. Also I need to play with the start button many, many times before it starts the wash cycle. Two neighbors with Bosch machines (one about 900 dollars) are very dissatisfied. The next time I need a appliance, I hope to be smart and read the reviews first then do the shopping.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher Model SHP65T55US thru Appliance Connections online. The item arrived with no dings, dents to the box - nor on the outside of the dishwasher. It was installed. We were able to use it for approx two weeks and the door all of a sudden wouldn't seal. Called Bosch & they gave us service repair places none of which wanted to repair the dishwasher as according to every single one of them - Bosch does not pay them enough for warranty work. This process took about a month - where Bosch ended up making a deal with one of the repair places to have them come out and repair the door. In the meantime, I took out the top rack & could not get it back in again. So I thought I would let the repairman do it. He came & fixed the door but could not get the rack in. He told us that it is a warranty issue as the top of the dishwasher was bowed.
Bosch refuses to admit it is a warranty issue - they said that it is inspected before going out. This was missed by Bosch, by Appliance Connections and by us - until a Bosch's Certified repairman informed us that it was a warranty issue. Bosch insists it is a shipping issue - how can that possibly be when it was bowed on the INSIDE... with no dings, dents, scratches, anything on the outside of the dishwasher. Must be a miracle that shipping caused a indentation on the inside. WOW... Really.

New home purchase with Bosch dishwasher and I have always heard good things about them....Wrong! The rack does not connect to the door and falls out all the time...breaking dishes! I can't believe Bosch would allow this, as it is a major problem! I get angry every time I load and unload the darn thing and would never purchase another no matter how well it would clean! It does a decent job cleaning but if the dishes break, what's the point?

WFMC3200UC Washer NEXXT series - I believe this must be the first front loader Bosch made. If I'd known at the time of purchase I NEVER would've paid the major bucks I paid. I think it's 7 years old. My Mother has a top loader for 22 years. Beautiful, I think we replaced one part on the thing all these years. Anyway, I despise this washer. It's too small, takes almost 2 hours to cycle AND smells like mold. I have the top & back panels off to remove the out take drain tube which is visibly covered (inside) in black mold. Problem is the way it's put together is like no other Bosch washer.
Two weeks ago I found a video online which showed how to remove the thing and today I go to my bookmarks and NO VIDEO. I'm about to throw myself on the floor and have a complete meltdown. WTF happened to the video? I've looked for thirty minutes all over internet to no avail! It's a servicing video I know that and those are hard to come by. Help me lawd! Thought I might feel better writing this however I feel like upchucking. Thanks anyway. P.S. NEVER OWN ANOTHER BOSCH appliance EVER. Unless they paid me BIG bucks. **.

I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit in my kitchen closet. June 2014, started to have problems with it making noises while spinning and then it got louder and finally stopped spinning. I contacted Bosch Customer Service who referred me to service repair but did not offer me a good explanation or offer to refund anything for the unit to be broken after approximately 6 years of use and I am the only person using it.
The stackable unit cost me over $2,000 and now the washer needs to be replaced because the repair costs are over $900.00. This is disgraceful! Now, I have to figure out how to find a new 24-inch washer that will fit my Bosch dryer on top because I will never buy another Bosch anything! It is a piece of garbage.

I have purchased BOSCH food processor month ago (because according to my knowledge it's a good company everything made in Germany which is not right, all made in china) then after month my wife noticed a brown spots on the STAINLESS STEEL blade which we thought it's a dirt of reaming food. After I checked it, it was a brown RUST spots. Then I rang them and I have got case number after sending photos to prove that. I was waiting more than 3 weeks until finally I had call from after sales department saying we send your case and photos to technical department and you have to wait their result (it's food processor which means something you use it everyday anyway!).
They sent me email saying it's CLEANING ISSUE!!! and I have to buy a new blade which I refused (pls don't go with them when they sell a spare part with a discount price to solve your problem you don't have to pay even one cent. It's their problem) and I am going to open a case with consumer affair. It's not matter of money (the blade will cost me around $40), it's matter of customer respect. I am really disappointed from this company, it used to be one of the best companies. But I will insist to have my right

The plastic end of our dishwasher handle cracked, but I caught it before the handle became loose and broke off completely. It was still under extended warranty and I'm happy to say Bosch sent out a repair person with the $5 part (2 replacement ends) and fixed it without cost to me. The repair guy told me it is a known problem and gave me the extra end to use if it happened again. I love everything else about the dishwasher and have had no problems with it after 8 years... yet.

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher 4 years ago from Lowe's. 2 Months ago, the Dishwasher front panel 4 buttons popped off and noticed that the front handle is cracked on both sides which caused the buttons to come off. It is made of lightweight plastic. Dishwasher has never gotten things clean for a $720 dishwasher. The lower rack has the utensil bin in the back of the dishwasher (poor Design). We tried to get a replacement and were told by BOSCH that they did not make a replacement model. I would think that for this money the front would be more durable and not made of a lightweight plastic.
I contacted Bosch to find out about what they could do to replace the handle, which was an obvious flaw in their dishwasher. I was told that they created a file number and to send in my purchase receipt and the problem(s) with the dishwasher. I emailed this to Bosch on June 18th. I sent a follow up email on June 30th to acknowledge and find out a status, with no reply. I finally called them on July 7th to get a status and they looked up the file number and said, "Oh yeah, the part is $80 but we will give it to you for $40 plus shipping." I asked them to waive the shipping and she stated Bosch does not do that. I went ahead and paid for the part Plus shipping. Hopefully I will receive the part. Not only is the Bosch Dishwasher flawed a bad product, their customer service and follow-up is horrible.

We purchased this Bosch model brand new about 2.5 years ago. We noticed intermittent cooling problems even during the first summer of use when it was hot outside but they were intermittent and therefore impossible to diagnose. At the end of this June the freezer compartment went up to 40 degs (it was 12 hours before we noticed it because the system did not alarm as it was supposedly designed to do). A repairman diagnosed the problem as a slow "low side leak" requiring $1200 to repair (not including the diagnosis which was another $250).
Considering its short life span, it seems to be highly likely that this was a defective refrigerator at purchase time. Technically it is 6 months out of mechanical warranty by calendar days if you compute time from purchase to complete failure. However, anyone taking an honest look at this situation would conclude that the problem causing this failure started during the warranty period and Bosch should take responsibility for repairing it. As this problem seems to be posted fairly frequently I think it should be the subject of a legal action against Bosch. At the very least I advise anyone reading it to do a frequency search for this complaint and re-think the BOSCH purchase in lieu of a more reliable product.

Second employee from Wick ford appliance came the follow day. His diagnostic was "has a sealed system leak, it is a Manufacturer issued and will cost you around 1500 dollars just to fix it." After we paid 89.95 just for the diagnostic they recommend to call Bosch directly. Since may 29-2014, I been calling them to be responsible for the defective item and his response was to pay an extra 1013 more and will get the same that we have right now. Because of good reviews we purchased our first Bosch. We were told how durable and outstanding they were. A one year warranty was given with the purchase. After 3 months we had problems with the control panel. Then the pump malfunctioned and a new pump was installed. Within this year we have had more water in the bottom and not pumping out. Called Bosch and they had their certified tech....hmmmm who made three appointments and never showed up. Then when he came it was for a whole five minutes to say we needed a new pump. Three weeks later he came and installed a new pump and was there a few minutes, never checking the complete cycle. It still doesn't drain out, so we called our own tech and he informs us that it is now a complete computer board. Oh we also have had to have our racks replaced as they rusted. Then the new racks don't match and don't have a track to stop the dishes from rolling out. We are through and have made a whole family pledge, never again a Bosch… dump Bosch from our lives and buy American who treats their customers with respect.

Bosch front load washer - Bought Bosch because of the name brand and believed it to be reputable company. First issue was that the front panel door started to rust just under the soap dispenser. Had it replaced and within a month the new panel did the same thing in the same place. The repair person said it was because we use bleach and it was the cause. If you are not to use bleach, then why is there a bleach dispenser. I can't get the company to recall the product or determine the real problem. My husband feels that it is in the preparation process when making the door (no coating or priming of the steel or metals). This is a Huge disappointment. I plan on reporting this to the attorney general because of the cost to consumers.

We have spoken with the distributor, and they cannot get any answer on just how long we will be without an AC. My husband has respiratory problems, so this is serious for us! The distributor told us that it could be six weeks before we get this warranty part, because they have experienced it before. We bought the Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer and Dryer about 5 years ago from Lowe's. For the last 4 years we have had nothing but problems. First the washer. I kept ending up with "cut" marks in things. Almost like someone was murdering my sheets and clothes with a knife. They had perfect cut marks. Bosch offered no advice on what the issue was.
Second the dryer. The dryer has been by far the BIGGEST headache! The first issue was that it would work but wouldn't heat up. Bosch told me to remove the back panel and the 20+ screws, shove my hand in there and find a TINY reset button. Ok, fine. FOUND IT! Reset! But then I kept having to reset it every week. Then a couple days ago I tossed in a small load of laundry and almost instantly started smelling something burning. So I open the dryer and I have flames between the back of the dryer drum and back panel. Not the most ideal place to have a FIRE! Not easy to tip a dryer backwards with a pitcher of water in hand trying to throw enough into small holes to put out a fire. BOSCH tells me "Lint makes its way to the back of the drum, down the back and into the box where the heating element is. Clean it out, put it back together, plug it back in and resume normal use. Make sure to clean it out every few months." Can we say NO?
Needless to say, I will NOT buy another BOSCH appliance. When I go to buy a new dryer I will also be buying a new washer. The only thing these appliances are good for is taking out back with a sledgehammer in hand and releasing some build up frustration!

When I called Support, they said they never heard of it damaging the door and there was no recall. BUT they didn't want pictures. A second call got a rep who said they are working on the "flying wheels" issue. The Internet shows it's been a BOSCH issue since 2009. We are now displaced temporarily from our apartment for at least 2-3 weeks during clean-up and without a kitchen for 3-4 months.
If one more minute had passed, I would not have been able to reach the extinguisher on the counter and would have lost everything. If my daughter had not been so alert or there, I/we would have died. What makes me angry is that Bosch KNOWS these dishwashers may catch on fire. There is a "voluntary" recall posted deep in their site for models from 1999-2005 for a "very rare" ability to inflame. That cost me $99.00 for the service call. Five days later, the glass plate would not stop turning and light would not turn off. Right now we have it unplugged. When we called their customer service department, they said that this is considered a new work order and that I would have to pay for all service charges and parts which could cost us up to $500.00. We paid $1,100 for the appliance and $250 to have our cabinet adjusted to fit the unit in the wall. In 2010, we also bought a Bosch wall oven and dishwasher and have had no problems with these appliances. This has been very frustrating, highly inconvenient, and very expensive. At this point, we are still trying to figure out what to do next. We either will have to pay to get it fixed or buy a new Bosch!

My Bosch Front load Axxis was delivered with a broken drum, there was no evidence of shipping damage. Upon starting the first load water leaked onto the floor and damaged a new floor. The drum was replaced by a Bosch authorized repairman. After attempting to start for the second time, the front panel showed an error code that indicated a faulty control panel. At this point I had the machine for 1.5 months and have never done even one load. I asked Bosch for a replacement and I have a case file, but the service center keeps losing information or telling me that I need to provide more info. All I did was try to buy what I thought would be a good washer. All I have gotten for $900 is a hassle, more cleaning bills, a damaged floor and a worthless piece of junk. DO NOT BUY BOSCH.

I really like the new Bosch dishwasher we purchased. The problem is that the bottom rack flies off the grooves provided for it in the interior door frame when open for loading or unloading. No matter how we try, the rack seems to disengage from the grooves provided. There are no tracking mechanisms, just gravity holding the rack in place, so we're wondering what we're doing wrong. Has anyone else had this issue and if so... how you've dealt with it. Thanks.

I spoke to Bosch customer services, who were not in the slightest bit interested, said they had no technical people I could speak to and I should take the product back to the shop. When I explained this was a 40+ mile journey they offered a prepaid label to send it back to them. I had to pack the iron and take it 8 miles to my local post office so I asked for compensation of 15 for time wasted on phone calls, travel etc. Incidentally when you phone them they charge a high rate plus a connection cost, ridiculous. They say they will send the money back for the iron, it hasn't arrived yet, but nothing more. They don't seem at all interested that they provided a faulty product and inconvenienced a customer. They have just lost this one. In future I will buy cheap irons and throw them when they are faulty. I can get a lot of irons for what I paid Bosch for one.

We bought a washer dryer for £599 just a little over 2 years ago. It broke down in the 1st year, and it has been repaired by a Bosch engineer, as it was still under the manufacturer warranty. 1 month after the 2 years warranty has expired, it broke down again. Each time the problem was a broken drum. I called Bosch customer service complaining about the fact that an appliance I paid that amount of money for, has only lasted for 2 years. I was told that since the washing machine is out of the warranty, there's nothing they can do. I would have to pick up the fee for repairs. I'd rather buy a new washing machine, instead of paying for the repair of one which obviously is very low quality. That is not something I was expecting from a brand like Bosch, but certainly they don't care about their reputation. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH BRAND AGAIN as their products are really bad and their customer service is even worse. I do not recommend Bosch. Stay well away from the Bosch brand, as their products are not worth the money you have to pay for it.

One repairman spent 20 minutes vacuuming the suds out. I am a disabled senior citizen and a dishwasher is important to me. I can't hand rinse everything every time the the cycle is done! Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right, rough to turn and if you put it to the wrong spot (nice light simmer), it would go out, but the gas would still run. New Year's Eve 2007, the oven burner quit at about 3:00 in the afternoon, part way thru cooking a massive prime rib roast. The electric starter came on and glowed, the gas valve opened but the oven burner wouldn't light. Phoned the dealer (Midland Appliances) and asked them for help, they told me that they could have someone out in about two weeks.
Since I was in the middle of preparing a dinner for 10, I finished the roast on the BBQ. It didn't turn out that well, since it's hard to cook outside at -20C. Took it all apart the next day and determined that the orifice was plugged/blocked so I cleaned it out with a needle file. About once or twice per year, ever since, same problem. Orifice fouled, and the gas doesn't flow. Eventually the electric starter failed, so I replaced it. Had to order from an outside vendor, as per manufacturer website. Part was delivered, oven back in operation, regular orifice cleanings (and failed meals) continued.
In 2011, the main range burner finally failed. It was on and when I tried to turn it down, something broke internally on the shaft. Had to shut the gas off to the entire unit, because the valve wouldn't close. So we are without oven or range. No parts available in our city, again, so I had to order from the outside vendor and have shipped. Five days total without an oven or range top. Many meals outside of the home and many take out meals delivered. New valve installed and the same rough feeling as the original valve. I am probably going to have to replace it again in a few years.
November 29, 2013 my wife calls me at work, oven not coming on again. Okay, have to pull the oven out again and clean the orifice, I guess?? Well not this time, now the valve for the baking half of the oven has failed. Electric starter comes on, voltage changes to the valve, but the valve doesn't open. Order the valve ($161) from the outside vendor, four days later it arrives, two hours to install and the oven is back in operation.
December 21, 2013 (yesterday) and we're having family for early Christmas dinner. About 1:00PM, I turned the oven on to start our turkey and the electric starter glows but the gas valve doesn't open. I hear the solenoid for the starter click and it glows and about a minute later I should hear the valve for the gas open but I don't. Turkey is back in fridge, called the local Chinese take out place for ($185) worth of food. I will pull it apart again on Wednesday (Christmas day) but I suspect that the (new) valve is defective. And on, and on, it goes.
Other observations: Well the fit and finish on the visible parts of the oven are quite nice, the guts of it are a mess. Screws don't line up with hole, many are stripped or over tightened. The sheet metal is of the lightest gauge possible and often wires are installed and poorly secured. The adjustable legs don't secure very well and as a result every-time you move the unit, it has to be re-leveled. The unit appears to be made in Mexico, and the range valve was also Mexican made, so I guess it's goodbye to "German quality."
Long and short, this range has been very problematic and I will NEVER buy another Bosch appliance, small or large. And since I am a vengeful sort, I will probably not buy/install Bosch vehicle (starters, alternators) parts either.

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago I've had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch "Customer Service" (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off.
What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol' W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya' know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(

I bought a Bosch washing machine - maxx7 - less than three months ago because my previous one which I had for 9 years presented a problem. Since day one I noticed that some sheets were rotten like someone ripped them with a knife. My cleaning lady said that was because they were too old. Maybe but since then more items suffered either by that or by holes! This problem had never happened with my old machine - Ariston brand - or with the neighbor's AEG one, never! The technician came the other day he found no fault and said that I was loading too much the machine. He operated the quick cycle 15min and no problem appeared! He instructed me on how many clothes to load and I did as he said in front of him.
Just after part of those clothes were ripped off again! In anger I called the company. They spoke to me angrily and agreed, in goodwill, as they said to send again the technician another day and to wash some shirts of the company as a test. I proposed to try with my own clothes that we would examine before and after. They did not agree. Same technician came, performed the quick cycle, instructed me again not to spin at 1000 cycles but to prefer the 600 cycles - there is no less! No problem, left. Since then many more clothes are destroyed. Children's Benetton clothes, sheets by Cocomat I bought 2008 and 2009 and some other brands as well.
In more than half the cases I use the sensitive cycle! For even cotton clothes and I ALWAYS spin at 600 or sometimes I choose the without spinning option! No visible difference! My husband says we should throw this away but really we don't have money to throw away. Of course I say this now before my whole wardrobe is destroyed! I also never have the time for internet as I am always busy with the house and young children but I am so angry I have no other means to protest and I am writing this now in expense of my little private time! I am posting a small sample from my clothes in the "after" condition! They were washed at the sensitive cycle, 600 spinning, 30 degrees, the skirt and the barbie shirt are brand new, other 2-3 years old!

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my "foot print" in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowe's, although they've had trouble getting the "right" part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.
Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didn't speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO.
Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I can't see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often don't smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels don't come clean in the most used areas.
About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I can't tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be "raised", set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my "start" button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says "GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough." And the Lowe's warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

We got a real nice deal from Lowe's on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldn't have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didn't break.
Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Haven't done that yet just because I'm sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on.
All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone "sanitize." It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, that's me.
Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

I called their customer service, had a technician come and his response: The MW is working properly... please refer to page X in the user manual where it says to stop the heating midway through and mix the liquid for optimal heating. Really? I think a cheapo MW does better.
That is plain wrong! I had never had issues with any other MW... and this is what they say? This is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY BOSCH period. I thought I was making a good decision, but I regret it every day. Having odor issues with an 800 series dishwasher. Stick to GE! We always found that the oven took a long time to cook things, but didn't really give it a second thought. There was also a mystery screw that magically appeared in the warming drawer one day. 9 days ago, the glass on the door spontaneously exploded into thousands of pieces while baking at a relatively low heat. We called Bosch and scheduled service for last Wednesday. Needless to say, they refused to accept responsibility as we are beyond our warranty period.
As I took apart the glass, I discovered that the missing screw was one of the three holding the glass panel in place. This should never have just fallen out. I also noticed that the door closes much better than before. We are now 9 days without our oven and there is no sign of a Bosch technician! When I spoke to the Bosch rep, I asked how to register a complaint. He referred me to their web-site - but it only allows for 250 characters. Clearly, they don't want to hear about any problems. I just had my second child who is now one month old child, my mother and father in-law are visiting as well as my brother and sister in-law with their two kids.
Bosch only allows for factory service people to inspect the machine. On the list of 4 in my area, Palo Alto 3 don't deal with refrigeration units. I was able to get someone to come out in two days to look at this. Keep in mind when you have a 1 month old child, milk and formula must be kept cold and they need to be fed every 3 hrs. The factory tech said the problem was a leak in the coolant. He can't guarantee the fix because they can't fix all leaks, but since the fridge is out of warranty the repair will cost $900. Keep in mind I went to Home Depot and bought a fridge out of necessity for my garage, GE, $400.
I asked Bosch if they could work with me on the repair or discount a new fridge. If they would I'd buy Bosch and be a loyal customer. They said you're out of warranty so we won't do anything for you. Huge inconvenience factor and they just don't care about the customer.

But he cannot help me since a Bosch repair man has to diagnose the problem (and will charge me a service fee since the machine is not under warranty!). I told him two repair men looked at the machine and one called Bosch and confirmed that it is the motor control unit and I saw the part, it looks fried!! He informed me once again he cannot help me since they weren't certified!! I should have bought a Whirlpool machine; at least with Whirlpool, the parts are cheaper and my husband has repaired my Whirlpool washer with the help of YOUTUBE! There are no YOUTUBE videos on how to replace a Bosch motor control unit. I would not purchase a Bosch appliance again!!

Our Bosch fridge/freezer is less than four years old, yet the handles both top and bottom developed cracks and then sheared off. Bosch was not interested as they said out of guarantee. Their resolution was to purchase replacements. I thought that one should expect a decent amount of time using an appliance before it broke like a cheap toy. Bosch appliances are not cheap to buy. I have never had this happen before as we keep our white goods for a very long time and they wear out mechanically. One expects an item to be fit for use and this does not come under that category. The people I spoke to said a manager would phone me back within 3 hours. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. If they care so little for their customers, I would suggest not buying a Bosch item.

Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasn't turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didn't advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didn't.
The second event has been disastrous. There's a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We won't know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We won't know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that there's thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover there's mold.
I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, I'm surprised that Bosch didn't contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.

The Bosch repairman showed up with wrong parts and told me it's my fault that I did not provide an accurate model number. There was no dash in the number I provided, he states. And pray, why did the Bosch operator not tell me a dash was needed somewhere in the number I was providing?
So it's not only junk, it's my fault. I have missed half a day of work, and I will have to miss another half, and the stupid crappy machine is still not working, but according to BOSCH, IT IS ALL MY FAULT. I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. It's been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works.
I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isn't it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesn't Bosch come here and take a look themselves? I'd appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

We bought the machine in April 2008. Last year, we had to spend $200 to replace a control panel. Today, we couldn't get the machine to work. A repairman from the appliance store where we purchased the machine came to our house. "The motor is dead," he said, "It'll cost you $450-$550." We called Bosch - the 1-800 number he gave us - and the attendant told us that Bosch would go out of business if they repaired all the machines whose motors stopped working.
We're disgusted. We expected this company to offer assistance when the motor fails in such a short period of time. Kenmore, for example, warranties their motors for 10 years. Bosch doesn't. That tells the world something right there. Had we known that, we would never have considered this mediocre machine. World, don't even THINK about a Bosch. They apparently don't stand behind their appliances. If they did, they would replace our defective motor.

Bosch Energy Star tankless hot water heater refused to start. 45-minute wait for tech help. Every fix they told me to try failed. Average time on the phone each time 1 hr 45 min. I went through the same dog and pony show each time. I was told to purchase a $50.00 part at their authorized parts house. Part out of stock. It took 15 days with express shipping. The part did not cure the problem. By this time we have gone one month without hot water (in the winter in Idaho). They stonewalled us at every turn. I finally talked to a female in sales who told me I didn't know what I was doing. In frustration I ripped out the Bosch and replaced it with a Rinnai tankless. What a nice unit - problem-free.
And when you call, there is no wait, and their techs listen and answer each point. Not the negative attitude you get from Bosch. My best friend had similar experience with his Bosch dishwasher. Neither of us will ever purchase anything from BOSCH. As a note, yesterday I went to the auto parts to get an in-tank fuel pump for my Corvette. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the Bosch. After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

Customer service was nice and sent me a technician, who said that the refrigerator had a computer failure. He did order the parts and the parts came the next day. The technician came after two days and said that the parts are wrong and ordered one more time. The parts arrived and the technician changed them; nothing was working. He ordered the left door. The door arrived, the technician came and installed the door and still, nothing worked. After several calls and a lot of aggravation, Bosch sent me another door (don't know why). They are charging $99 only because the technician will show up at your door. After that, they charge $12 every six minutes! I should've done better research first. Now I did, and I don't understand why I don't see any recalls on cooling system failure. It looks like it is the biggest problem in Bosch refrigerators. I'm so upset at this point. We bought a Bosch dishwasher for about $700 shortly after the 2009 recall (dishwashers bursting into flames due to electronics issue). We thought that the quality issues were limited to a single electronic component, and previously the company had a good reputation.
The dishwasher cleans dishes, so we should be happy, right? In the past year, the control buttons and the plastic "countdown" window have popped out one by one. Today is my second round of DIY repair. The reason for repeated button loss is now very clear - the front fascia panel is made of a thin panel of ABS. This is not just a decorative panel - the stress of door opening with every use is applied to the panel, which is now cracked. Because of a design flaw, the cracks propagate right into the button area - so I no longer have a way to keep those buttons from falling out.
Parts are available on the Bosch web site - "only" $86 plus shipping for the fascia and the missing button. The replacement panel will have the same design issue as the original, so this may buy me a year, 2 years or three of intact dishwasher. For environmental and financial reasons, I expect a dishwasher to last about 15 years. I am very disappointed by the substantial repair time and cost caused by an under designed appliance part.
The model number is she45m02UC/53 and the part of doom is panel-fascia 478810.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasn't really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset.
Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasn't willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldn't dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. So I called again; this time using a different service company. They came out and said there was nothing wrong, and to use the Quantum detergent (which I was already doing, but Bosh customer service told me to use the powder). So needless to say, they left and did nothing.
I called Bosh yet again and they told me to have it serviced. I called the same company (that was just there and said nothing was wrong) to come out yet again. This time they found the heat sensor was bad. So they came out to replace it, only to tell me they could not get this dishwasher out. I would have to call the installer. I called the installer to come out. They had no problem getting it out and charging me $170.00 to do so. My concern is that this heating element is not the real issue and I will have to have it reinstalled, pay more money and still have the horrific odor coming from the dishwasher.
When I called Bosh and explained my plight, and all the time I missed from work, they said, "You need to have at least 3 services done on it before we do anything." I truly don't think the heating element is going to solve the issue. Two separate components went bad and the dishwasher isn't even a year old. Isn't there some lemon law? Also, the dishes sometimes are still dirty in places. I think that being an Energy Star appliance, quality and efficiency have been compromised for the sake of conserving water and electricity.
In addition it probably costs me more money to pre-wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! I also find that the silverware rack is in the wrong place. I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier.
The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling.
Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? The first dishwasher had burnt up the wires inside washer as well as outside connections. It took a lot of calls for them to agree to replace the first unit. I had read on line that it had happened to others.
After second dishwasher was installed on 1/9/09, my wife and I saw that our model number was a recall to possible electrical fires. For about two years, we received letters in the mail of this recall. Fast forward to late August up to early September, the second dishwasher is not working right. Bosch agreed to pay for a tech to diagnose and concluded that the heater assy shut as well as the main PCB, whatever that is. Repair is estimated at $450 to $500 on an almost four year old dishwasher. Bosch said that I am out of luck because warranty is over and that the second dishwasher was a goodwill case, even though the first dishwasher was a recall as a fire hazard. Oh and by the way, it is just my wife and I, so we don't use our dishwasher like a big family does.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in April 2012 and have had nothing but trouble with it, even having the repairman out. Thank heavens I purchased the extended warranty. It doesn't dry at all. When the repairman came, he said that I had to open the door to let out the steam so that it would dry. What? You want me to get up in the middle of the night to open the door? I use the dishwasher soap that was supplied with the washer, so that's not it. It has the rinse agent in. I have to wash my silverware by hand as I would never let anyone eat off them like they are when I take them out of the washer. They are good stainless steel.
When you pull out the bottom rack, it falls off the track. Silverware container takes up too much space. My other one was in the door, it was a less expensive washer and I had it for 13 years and was still working, but I thought that I would get new appliances. We ran our first real dishwasher load on the 27th and it kept showing an E-15 error, the dishwasher did not ever finish the first real job.
We called Appliances Connection, they told us this is a Bosch problem and they must do the repair work per the warranty. We have had two repair dates with the authorized Bosch repair technician. On March 6th, the Bosch repair tech said that it must be the pump that needs to be replaced. He also confirmed our plumber had made all the correct water connections. On March 14th, another Bosch repair tech came and worked over 2 hours on the dishwasher and could not get it fixed.
We contacted Bosch and discussed the problem with their associate. We requested a replacement of our new dishwasher immediately. They made it clear this was not going to happen, as it is new and they will continue to repair until corrected. This is not right! This dishwasher is a lemon. We paid $866 for this machine and almost a month later, we still have only a broken down, unusable dishwasher. (For us that is an incredible amount of money as we are both senior citizens.) Even the repair technicians were frustrated with the way they were communicated to by the Bosch technologist who was giving them instructions on how to fix the machine (they do not have a repair booklet even for their authorized repair techs).
I am totally unhappy and disgusted with their service. They should not be allowed to let their customers be held hostage to a brand new, broken dishwasher. What is our recourse now? Please help me in any way to make this right. I see your box below, we cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.

I called again on Monday, Feb. 20, and was told by someone at your support line that all he could do was email the service company who did the repairs. I called the Bosch help line again on February 22, 28, and 29. I was eventually told that a service manager would review my request to replace the machine and I would be informed once a determination was made. I called the help line again March 12th. We had the machine for 9 months and the part on the front of the machine leaked and ruined my hardwood floors and damaged my family room ceiling. This machine cost a fortune, plus we had to pay a plumber to install it, and now we are dealing with water damage. The machine is not worth the hassle or the money. It’s a bad machine, don't buy it.

We bought a set of Bosch washer and dryer that was rated "top of the line". We have had nothing but problems for 2 years. Of course we paid top dollar expecting top performance. We have had servicemen out too many times to count. Each time the problem was "fixed" it really never was. We called repairmen approved by Bosch, called the Bosch hotline, etc. The washer does not clean the clothes properly. They still stink no matter what kind of detergent or fabric softener we use (we have tried them all). In addition, the dryer does not dry. It takes 3 hours to dry one load. We have to start the dryer and then let it cool down and repeat. With a family of four, this does not work. We will be "junking" these and getting good old Maytag.

I found that some micro and macro cracks have appeared in the top front plate of the set. As I am a specialist and a lecturer in the university, I found that these cracks are a result of humidity and low quality of the top plate of the set. We purchased a Bosch Nexxt washer and dryer in late 2005 for $2600.00 from Trail Appliances in Calgary. A lot of money was spent for this horrible washer and we should have kept our top loader Maytag. I cannot even use the recommended amount of 'HE' detergent as the washer errors and stops because of suds. The washer does not have a separate rinse cycle, so I have to rewash the clothes without soap to get rid of the suds and to spin out. No saving of water there. With using less detergent and poor washing ability, the clothes are not clean and my white towels, washed only with whites, are very grey.
I always left the washer door slightly ajar as in the manual: "Leave the loading door ajar to allow the inside of the washing machine to dry". I live in a very dry climate and this was not enough as there is horrible mold everywhere on the grey door seal. When this first developed, I called Trail Appliances and was told that I must leave the door completely open. They also told me that even under extended warranty, the seal is not covered and that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars to replace it. The opened door of the washer now blocks the doorway into my laundry room.
I also told by the Trail Appliance person that leaving the door open like that is a serious safety concern for my cats and my toddler grandson. If one of them crawls into the washer, another cat or person could bump the door closed while going through the doorway and trap them inside. Of note, the washer door has to be seriously pulled to open and a baby or cat would not have the ability to push it open from the inside of the washer.
Has no one thought of that? There are laws that are in effect for safe disposal/storage of unused refrigerators and freezers because of the dangers of trapped children. How about the washers in our homes?

I moved into a brand new building with a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer that had never been used. I am the apartment's first occupant. I have always had some issue with these appliances, but what I have dealt with in the past week has taken the cake. My first issues were similar to most people's on this site: the washer does not fully dry out after use and is left with a mildew smell which then gets on the clothes and the dryer does not fully dry unless run for hours and, again, leaves the clothes with a mildew smell and leaves you with an expensive electric bill. This was hardly energy saving.
My most intense grievance is with the cheap latch design on the washer and the customer service I received in response to this issue. I closed the washer after loading it up with clothes and the latch on the washer (not the door) fell into the machine making it not possible to close the washer and therefore not possible to run it. I called my maintenance man in my building who directed me to the Bosch customer service line. We relayed what happened and said we needed a new latch or something needed to be fixed on the latch. Someone came to "fix" the issue the next day. By fixing the issue, I mean the man just pulled the latch out and put it where it was, leaving it to be able to fall back into the machine, which is what it did immediately when we tried to use it.
When we called the service man who came from Bosch, he said no one told him he needed to put a new latch so he basically did not do anything. We called to make a new appointment and they said they could come 1 month later. That is just unacceptable. They finally said a third party person could come in 4 days. I am waiting to see if this third party person will actually fix the latch. This all occurred 4 months after moving in. So 4 months of use on the washer. That's all. The "funniest" part is that the service man even admitted he did nothing to fix the issue. These products are cheap and the service is awful. Do not buy from this company.

Bosch Axxis Electric Dryer- For the first 2 years the dryer worked very well. I cleaned the lint filter after every use. Apparently there is a design flaw where the lint can blow inside the machine & build up next to the heating element. The first time, the safety shutoff tripped & when I checked why the machine wasn't on anymore, discovered a burning smell. For $120 the nice service man cleaned it out & showed me the burned lint. One year later the same thing happened but the lint hadn't started burning yet. I had it cleaned out & the service guy said it would need to be cleaned every year. At $120 for 15 minutes of work, this is not tenable.
One year later (today) I smelled an acrid odor. I turned off the dryer; the safety shutoff did not work this time. The smoke coming out of the dryer set off the building's fire alarm. I'm not spending another penny on this poorly designed machine, only to have it burn down my building and putting several families on the street. Bosch admits it's not a good thing that the lint can easily reach the heating element, but won't admit it is a "design flaw". They advise yearly servicing. Every 30-60 days I had authorized repair technicians here, sometimes with supervisors, and each time they assure me that they found the root of the problems and fixed it. A month later, either the same thing breaks down or a new problem starts.
I was told by a phone service representative that if it couldn't be fixed after three tries, I'd get a new unit although it's no longer made--no surprise! Nonetheless, on the 4th or 5th call, I was told nothing could be resolved until diagnosis was made. This took place on September 16th when the technician told me that he'd have to order all new parts, and rebuild the whole unit, including a back plate that was cracked by the previous repairman, causing water to leak and ice to form all over the freezer.
In spite of three calls to the service center and one message left directly for the technician, no one has gotten back to me. I have a $2,000 plus useless appliance, and I had a freezer full of spoiled food more than once. I know Thermador (owned by Bosch or vice-versa) still makes a unit, which looks the same. We bought a Bosch gas range four years ago. I did the research and consumer reports said it was the best. Within the year, the front door wouldn't close completely. We had the company we bought it from come and fix it; it was still under the one-year warranty that time. Life was wonderful, except that the front knobs were a little loose from the heat that had been escaping with the door not closed.
When the new hinges failed (again, less than a year after being installed), I called the store again, and had them come back and do it again. They gave me a hefty bill for it, which I disputed, since it was only a matter of months since it had been fixed. The one-year warranty was "only from the date of purchase," so I paid it.
Last summer, the door started its migration from the frame once again so, being the clever ** that I am, I propped the door shut with a kitchen chair. We really struggled to shut it enough for Thanksgiving dinner, and hadn't used it since. Our Vermont Castings gas grill was our primary cooking device--everything from apple pie to ziti--ever since.
I bit the bullet last month and had them come again. They did half the work as they had to order a door repair kit (obviously, we are not the first to experience this). Now, with the new door kit and replacement knobs, we are looking forward to another 10 months (hopefully) of having an oven. Our broiler hasn't worked since it was fixed, but I haven't complained about it because I can't afford to.

They ordered parts, which Bosch was out of. Our problem was so rare according to the wonderfully inept anti-customer service rep that I spoke to, that actually drew out a long sigh on the phone like I was interrupting a wonderful game of spider solitaire. I sent them 8 pages of documentation with the time line of our torture and heard nothing from them. Fast forward, several e-mails and placed calls to Pam, the Manager. I am starting to think that Pam is paid a piece rate by LG or Whirlpool to see how many customers she can send away from Bosch. Pam never returned my e-mails, or phone calls. Mind you, in her defense the one area she has trained her wonderful, rude, and inept staff in is to avoid forwarding anything to her. Then, just the guy making $8.00 per hour can get blamed. Was told that my particular model was not on the list and I could safely continue to use it. The smoke was still coming out of the dishwasher, and the stench of the burning wires and plastic was still in the air. The Bosch representative said she had no advice to offer. I asked that she make a note that this model might have a problem. She didn't know how to do that. End of conversation.

We had our last two Bosch coffee makers fail each within a year. We went to BB and B and in each case an unknown employee said to just bring them in. We did and in both cases, they cheerfully traded them out for new ones. We did have the receipts.
I am not impressed with Bosch coffee makers but thrilled with BB and B. That's the beauty of it. There is no consequence for buying an inferior product.

I bought a Bosch dishwasher with model number 630SHE44CO in October 2010. The dishwasher has worked on and off for the past five months. I can document over 10 service calls, most of them beginning in October 2010, right about the time the dishwasher goes out of warranty. Melissa was a CSA who was helpful and got many calls covered and parts. Julie was beyond rude and said they (Bosch) helped more than they ever should.
The Customer Service liaison was helpful-sounding on the phone, but I only ever heard from her once in December 2010. It is now March 2011, and my dishwasher is not working again. I am frustrated and irritated at Bosch's unwillingness to stand behind its product. For as much money as we paid for this dishwasher, it should work! I don't believe it is reasonable to have my dishwasher repaired every four to five weeks. I don't care if the parts are available and it works, but having it repaired every four weeks is disruptive and ridiculous. I want it replaced or I want my money back.... Neither of which has happened so far.
I have spoken to the repair people (I have used four in our area.), and they do not like to work with Bosch. They said the Tech Line is difficult, and Bosch does not stand behind the product. I agree. I don't know what else to do. One repair company suggested I had to get "mean" with Bosch and threaten them with the BBB or litigation. Why do I have to do that? Why must I raise my blood pressure to get something that seems so simple?
My advice, don't buy Bosch Products. If anyone has any way they can suggest to help me, I would appreciate it. We also bought a Bosch washing machine. Sears had to repair it in the first thirty days. We returned it. We are much happier with our Maytag.

From reviewing your site, I see I am not alone. My Bosh Dishwasher was the most expensive appliance and the worst I ever purchased. It simply doesn't clean dishes. A trip from the repairman cost $20 and it still doesn't work.

I wrote to them complaining about the mold building up around the opening of the door. I have followed all the instructions; keeping the door open after washing and putting a cloth at the opening to absorb any moisture, but the mold continues to grow. In addition, the spin cycle does not spin enough water from the clothes. After speaking with other owners of this particular front load washer, I found out that they are all having the same complaint. In addition, I have been told that if you over load the machine, it may tip over (it did in one instance). An overload damages the shaft. It has to be replaced at the consumer's expense. I believe that this machine should be recalled because of all its hazards.

Purchased a Bosch Nexxt washer model wfmc3301uc 1/06/07 from PC Richards with a 5 yr extended warranty.
The machine stopped working 12/26/2010. PC Richards was contacted and they sent authorized repair person from Danmarc Appliance Repair which took place on 1/3/11 to look. I waited a week. The person came back with wrong part, ordered correct part, returned the following week to install part and shorted out 2 other parts. He used Bosch tech line at all times.
A new repairman from Danmarc came with replacement parts, installed using Bosch tech line as per their protocol. The machine is still not fixed. Then the same repairman returned with more parts as per Bosch instructions. He left with machine working (so he said). Still, the machine did not work. Repairman returned the same day and the machine did not work.
The same repairman returned, now up to 7th visit! In total, three motor boards have been replaced, one control panel, 2 wire harnesses and 1 motor.Total time without washer: 8 weeks as of 2/22/11.
PC Richards supervisor insists that BOSCH technician must come out to evaluate machine and attempt to repair it before agreeing to replace machine. Next available date is MARCH 8, 2011, 2 weeks from now so that's 10 weeks in total with no washing machine, causing me to go to the laundromat repeatedly during the snowiest winter ever recorded in the northeast.
Without question, I should be given a new washing machine with a 5 year warranty, reimbursed for $180 in laundromat expenses and given a letter of apology from Bosch. Now!

I purchased a Bosch washer (Model: WFMC8440UC/15 / SN: 8901900304) in April 2009. Almost immediately, mold formed on the boot seal. I treated it with vinegar, dried the seal and left the door open after each use. I couldn't get rid of the mold and after almost a year of dealing with the problem, I called and requested a replacement boot seal.
Now, almost a year later, the boot seal has mold and worse, has torn. Now that I am no longer under warranty for labor, I have to pay almost $250 for a replacement boot seal. The seal is defective. It doesn't resist mold and seems to last only for a year. I was told by a Bosh customer rep that I have to treat the seal with "delicacy." What does that mean? I hate this machine. I paid over $1,000 for it and will probably be paying each year for boot seals. You're better off with a top loading machine. Oh yeah, and to add insult to injury, it doesn't clean that well.

We just had a stain from a small food spill that ran all the way down the inside of the outermost of the three panes of glass of the door.
The door is open on the top, which is how the food got in there, but the catch is that you can only clean the glass if you unscrew the door. So I unscrewed two screws and the whole door fell into ten pieces and I almost got hurt by the glass and sharp edges of metal in there. So I called the service number written on the glass and they said that it would be a minimum of $200 for the technician to come out and fix the door because the manual does not tell me to unscrew the door to clean the glass (my guess is that they can't and I will just have to pay for a whole new door). I asked how else I could have cleaned the glass and they told me that I should have called a technician to come out and clean it.
Do not buy this. I thought we spend the extra money for quality - what a mess!

Bosch is by far the worst washer and dryer that I have ever used in my life. The washer has a moldy smell since it was purchased one week ago, mold grows on trays and inside the rubber casing of door, even if cleaned every load. Do not use bleach or it will ruin your clothes with uneven bleach spots. The clothes are not very clean and they smell. The dispensers are very confusing and they drip detergent down the front. The dryer--my clothes are so much more wrinkled than any other dryer I have used. I have owned these for one year and am so frustrated that I can't tolerate it any longer so I am junking them.

In 2005, after moving into our new home, we purchased a Bosch washing machine and dryer. Washing machine Model #WFMC3200UC/01 FD8409 900640. After two years, I started noticing cracks where the top panel that holds the dials was located. These cracks came from where the screws were inserted into the plastic housing. I contacted Bosch several times and they kept telling me that it was out of warranty and so they would do nothing about it, even though it is a factory problem.
My authorized Bosch repairman, who was here again this morning, told me that Bosch has sent the part to some complainants with no charge. This would only seems like a good business practice since the problem stems from their factory. I have been reading some of the complaints about this company and, you can rest assured, I will never purchase another Bosch product. Appliances will always have problems but a company who will not stand behind their product is not to be recommended. Contacting someone via telephone is next to impossible. Bah humbug to Bosch!

We purchased a Bosch dual fuel range and microwave 2 1/2 years ago. The doors on both appliances had to be replaced within the first year. Now, the oven's self clean feature is not working and I was told to contact an authorized repair service. The CS person could not tell me what "error41" meant. Love the looks of the ovens, but would never buy them again.

On July 4, I bought a Bosch dishwasher. It was delivered July 8, installed and first operation stopped with an error code for leaking water into the bottom. I called Bosch at their Huntington Beach, CA location and arranged for a tech. Tech came looked it over, thought he had the issue resolved and departed. Thirty minutes later, same error code. I called Sears and arranged for a tech to come over, he verified it was leaking, gave me the option of easter egging the parts or arranging for a swap out with a new dishwasher. I opted for the swap.
Approximately 4 weeks later, after several false starts, an installer arrived with the replacement and called me out to the driveway to show me a damaged control panel. I refused the dishwasher and had him remove the original and replacement dishwasher. I am still waiting for my dishwasher. Call me stupid for putting up with Sears and the delays. But it is now a matter of principle. Every attempt by the Brea store to resolve the issue has been hampered by a "pending" status on the account. I'm still paying for the dishwasher and the extended warranty.
