    I had this system installed before 2005 (apparently after 2005 it is lifetime guaranteed). Maybe 6 mos after I had to call them back out because the wall surround pulled away from the walls causing a bulge in the material. The guy put these "glue blocks" behind it but it never really adhered. A guest in my home that was using that bathroom just said to me... "Your wall is bowed." Since I do not use that bathroom much I had not noticed. So I called and wanted them to come out to fix the issue that I had already had to have them fix. Well, it will cost me 125.00 for labor for them to come out and fix their poor workmanship. I am disgusted. I will never suggest anyone go to these people.

    We got a tub with walls from Bath Fitter. The installation man was excellent. He was very thorough and explained everything to my husband and I.     I'm happy with Bath Fitter. I have 10 houses and like my bathrooms to look nice. I've used them three times and there could be another one. I like that they finish the work on the same day or a little bit the second day, depending on how big the project is. Most of my properties have two bathrooms and it's nice to get it done and over with and no one's coming in. They did a good job selling it and they did what they said they were gonna do.

    But I had an issue in one bathroom. There was a pocket where mildew sits in. They were gonna fix it and do it right. I love the dome that I ordered but I didn't realize they're $1,000. I also know what a dome looks like and I know what a flat covering is and there's a two-inch lip around it. The installer tried to sell me something that is flatter and less likely to hold moisture but I didn't buy it. It's cheaper and easier to make but I really don't like the look of it. It was a little on the pricey side too. That is the only thing that stuck in my craw a little bit and I'm glad I didn't swallow it. Also, they came out for a caddy hanging over the showerhead. It was pulling in some way or another and they took care of it.

    I can't get them to quit calling me. Have called them to remove me from their potential customers list. They have called 48 times in 2 months. Was told it was the policy to call 3x daily. Don't call them unless you are sure you are doing business with them.

    I moved my dad and I had to take care of him, and he needed a shower that's safer. I went with Bath Fitter since I had the bathroom done a couple of times and I didn't wanna go through a routine clean-up. There's also the lifetime warranty on mold. I got a huge walk-in shower with a glass door and a bench, and I had a grab bar put on. It's clean and it's easier to clean than tiles. The sales agent was a really good guy. Price is a little high though, as I could've had the whole bathroom done for that price. But the installation only took two days. There was one guy and he did it nice, quick and clean.

    Bath Fitter could custom-fit my shower without having to knock down a wall. And it was put in in a day. I don’t have another shower or tub, so that was convenient and worth it. The installer was here at 9 o’clock in the morning and done by 5 o’clock. They were very professional. I like the shelf that I purchased and the shaving little step. I wish I would’ve gotten a different shower head, but that’s okay. It’s very easy to clean.

    My father-in-law had a regular bathroom with a tub. It was a climb-in tub which he can’t do anymore. So, we needed a walk-in kinda thing. So that’s what Bath Fitter put in, They also put in a set and rails, so he can hold on in different places because he can’t lift his arms very high. Now, they have the doors, instead of the curtain to fall in and out of. We’re very satisfied with it. From the sales fella right on through to the installation team doing it, they got it done in ample time, and they were very accommodating.

    Explained to Bath Fitter that I wanted to get a bathtub resealed, refitted and have a bathroom surround system installed as a Christmas gift for my wife. I explained that I wanted it to be a surprise for my wife, but Bath Fitter refused to give a free estimate unless both my wife and myself were present for their hard sales pitch. I had a marketing class in college and this is a sales method deployed by unscrupulous contractors. Whatever happened to the customer comes first?

    Updated on 02/21/2020: I spoke with Anne at the Bath Fitter office in Pelham on Jan. 24 AGAIN to request information promised me in Nov. 2019. Again, she was very (overly) courteous and stated that since I had "contacted corporate", she thought the issue was settled. I informed her that I still had not received the material she had promised to send me on several occasions. She stated that she would send them to me that day and asked if I wanted them by email or regular mail. I told her that either way was fine by me and to do what was easiest for her. She again stated that she would get that info out to me that day. As of today, Feb.21, I STILL have not heard from Bath Fitter re: this issue! I feel that my request is not particularly burdensome and have been told numerous times that it would be no problem, apparently IT IS! I would really like some assistance with this matter as it is apparent that Anne is NOT going to keep her word!

    Original Review: We have had 2 showers replaced by Bath Fitter in Pelham, Al. We have been very pleased with the promptness and quality of work. Fairly recently, past 6 months or so, we have had to have some warranty work done. All of the installers sent to our house have been very professional and their work has been very good. Our problems have been from the office staff's patronizing, placating and lying behavior! On two occasions we have scheduled warranty repairs only to have no one show up at the assigned time! When we called the office to inquire about this, We were told that the installer could not be reached by phone and we would need to reschedule our appointment, which we did. We understand that these things happen sometimes, but TWICE in a row??

    I spoke with Ann, the person at the office to express my concern about the first incident, only to be told that nothing could be done. I have asked her for information regarding our warranty and another service they provide on at least three occasions and was told that she would email that information "right now". After 2-3 months, I still haven't received this information. I spoke with Ann about this as recently as last week, when scheduling our most recent warranty repair work which resulted in the second no show and resultant second rescheduling, still no email of requested information!!

    We have been pleased with Bath Fitter's work and have recommended them to several friends and relatives who have contracted with them as well. However, the difficulty we've had with Ann and the office staff is, we feel, totally unacceptable. Bath Fitter has a good reputation that is being tarnished by extremely difficult office personnel. We don't think honesty and following up on promises is asking too much from a service business such as Bath Fitter and would like management to look at this situation.

    We looked at several and Bath Fitter came in and they shot us a price. The guy that did the evaluation for us was very good. So we made an on-the-spot decisions to go with Bath Fitter. There was a little bit of sticker shock, but we also knew that there was a sticker shock with the others. WE got a walk-in shower with a low entry. There were also shelves, seat, two grab bars, the showerhead and a handheld showerhead. It's a bigger area for showering and it's deeper. I like the accessibility. We got a white color, and so it's quite light. It's what we wanted. The installation went very well. It was all done by one guy in two days, but that was expected because there was a tear-out. It was a remodel for the install. We're extremely happy with the whole thing and the product.

    It was pretty seamless and painless for us. Each and every individual that we had contact with was extremely polite and accommodating. The kid that installed was very good. During the install, he asked us specifically where we would like the grab bar placed. So we showed him exactly where we thought that we wanted them. Also the showerhead was put up at a standard height. We're kinda short people, so it wasn’t too high. Everything was very good. And after he was done, there was no mess. Everything was cleaned up.

    I went to a wellness fair and the person there from Bath Fitter was very nice. He explained everything and that Bath Fitter was very professional, and the price was affordable. And then, it didn't take long for someone to call me. The salesman that came over to my house was very nice and very informative. He showed me pictures of everything. I hope everything that he was showing me was true. But it took a long time to get the tub because it didn't come in right. It was cracked or the right color didn't come in. That was the only downfall. But when the serviceman came out to put it in, he was really good. He told me what he was doing and I didn't realize that my shower and tub was that bad. It took him a day and a half to install it.

    We've had the new tub in September and I love it. It makes my bathroom look like it’s brand-new. Prior to making the purchase, people should investigate a little more. It’s better to be hands-on when you go to these fairs because I wouldn’t have known who to call. And for a long time, I had been trying to get a new shower tub. I just didn't know where to start. So, I started there at the health fair.

    We were at a home show here in Beckley and we saw Bath Fitter. When they called us after the home show, we weren't ready to consider, financially, and I asked them to call back in June. And they called and came on out, and given the company's reputation we felt it was the right choice. Everybody from the first visit to the follow-up phone calls we received, to the installer, were absolutely spectacular.

    I met with the installer and showed him the easiest way to get into the bathroom. We had a special way to get in that's easier for him. And he looked at everything and was very professional, and worked away. It took him a day and a half which was perfect. We got a walk-in shower, and I had a rail added, so I could hang onto it and don't fall. I like the fact that it's a walk-in shower because I have bad hips. It is a comfort to go in and turn the hot water on and just stand there. It is also easy to clean, so we like everything about it. I encourage people, if they're looking for a replacement, to call Bath Fitter. I love the company. It's US-based and we have so much Christian interaction. Everybody was so caring and really making sure that it was done right, and they did.

    We got a bathtub installed and we had two grab bars put in. The sales representative was great. She was very professional but friendly. The installer started at 11 AM and he didn't get done until almost 10 that night. He had a lot to do. He put in a bathtub, he covered the old bathtub, and then he had to put up the walls and the plumbing, the spicket and the shower. He sang while he worked, and he had a beautiful voice. And every now and then, he would ask if anybody needed to use the bathroom because I don't have my one bathroom. It was awesome. I love that my bathroom is clean. Before, my bathroom was disgusting. But now, when you walk in there, it looks inviting. The whole experience was great.

    We already had one of their units, and we worked with the same big, older gentleman when we purchased again from them. He was really great to work with. But we had some issues with the installation process and getting the correct parts. It took three weeks to get the stuff in, which we knew it was gonna take a while. When it came in, it was another couple of weeks before they got us scheduled to do the install. On the day they went to come do the install, they realized that it was the wrong stuff. It was the wrong color. But they didn’t call us to tell us that that was what happened. It was just nobody showed up. So there was a lack of communication on that part from their end. But once we realized what happened, they were really good. We had to reorder and reschedule again. And it was another three to four weeks. So the installation took over two months.

    I liked how Bath Fitter had a good reputation for quality work. They were a little more expensive but I felt comfortable with the work that I was gonna receive. I purchased a shower from them and the rep whom I worked with was a really straightforward, stand-up kind of guy. He was very amicable and very easy to talk to about the project.

    Their installer showed up an hour early. My iPhone is set so that before 8 o’clock it doesn't ring. He apparently tried to call several times because he wanted to get the job started.     It’s been going on for a while, my shower sprung a leak upstairs. Had them out to see the damage. Floors bubbled up, walls are open black mold and I can’t even get them to do anything. The general manager come out. He tried to come with stories about how it could have happened offered to have a leak detection company come out on his dime. 3 months later still nothing.     I put Bath Fitter in another house I had about eight years ago. I purchased from them again and I had a very good interaction with their rep. And in both places, I did a full shower. The installation was excellent. This one went all the way to the ceiling and I mentioned to the gentleman that I wish I’d have done that at the others. And he called his boss, and they came down and extended my shower surround without charging me. I’d recommend them to anybody I can think of. I find it an excellent deal. A lot of people tell me, “Well, it’s awful expensive.” And I say, “Wait till you have to make eight trips to the hardware store looking for something.”

    I always heard Bath Fitter's advertisements of, "Oh, we put a bathtub right over." I didn't really think that I was going to have the option to get it because I didn't have a tub. I only had a shower. So, as I was passing through a flea market in New Jersey, I was admiring a tub that was on display. I said, "I don't have a tub." The person said, "They could do the other work too." I would've never known that because the commercials always say put a tub on a tub. So, this guy gave me a card and I gave him my cellphone number just to say, "Okay. Let's see if they would call." And they did. And then, I had a representative come to my home and I liked her. She was extremely thorough, so we signed up.

    The installers put a tub and a shower in. They removed a closet as well as the existing shower I had in there to put in the tub. I had tile in there, so they removed part of tiling that was gonna go around the tub. They even spackled the walls where they removed the closet and they did good. I was shocked. We made the purchase in August and it was completed in September. I love the quality of the tub. It's even more beautiful with the floor and paint job and new cabinetry. Everything went great.

    I intended to do a lot of the work on my bathroom myself, but once I had a consultation with Bath Fitter, I thought that going with them is a more economical way. I wasn’t up to it, the demo and then tiling, whereas Bath Fitter’s was done in a day. The rep that I did the consultation with was very professional and thorough. We did two bathrooms, and I got tubs put in and showers redone. I had one bathroom done one week, and then two weeks later, the same guy came out and did the other one. I purchased the tub and shower insert thing, and I like it really well. The installation was surprisingly quick and we were pleased with it. However, the little cup that holds the curved shower rod into the wall came loose and was hard to get back on. But it’s okay right now. It just needed to be pushed on and we did it ourselves. But if it falls off completely, of course I will call Bath Fitter. Because when my son and his wife's tub was buckling, they did come and fix that.

    We bought a house to fix up and rent in Ocean View, Delaware, which is close to the ocean. The water here is 90% iron and 10% water. So, the tub looked like a dinosaur's teeth. It was yellow and brown. We had to replace it, so we had a contractor come and look and gave us a price, and it was good. And then we said, "Let's do what Bath Fitter says." So, we called Bath Fitter and they gave us a price that was a bit higher, but they promised us that they'd fix any walls behind that were bad that they couldn't see. And the contractor didn't promise that. He said it would be more if there was problems. The Bath Fitter salesman came and he had a bit of a pitch, but he did a good job.

    When we signed the contract, their reps said they would be there on a certain day, and they were there. A guy came first to make sure that the salesman measured everything right. And then he said, "Everything's right. This is what it's gonna be." And they had a bit of a problem because the size we needed for some reason wasn't in stock. But it came two days later than they said it would. So, they got in there and took it apart. They found some problems that they needed to fix and they got everything fixed in a timely manner. Everything was good.

    When they pulled up the floor, I saw that the dryer for the washer and dryer was on the other side of the wall from the bathroom because the water's right there. Whoever hooked up the dryer just took the pipe that comes out of the box out of the bottom and stuck it down under the floor. I got another piece of the dryer vent pipe and they hooked it up for me. They didn't even charge me anymore. They were under there and just did it, and I was happy with it. The whole thing took three months. Shortly after it was done, we had renters move in. But I have been in there a couple of times because they had another problem. The hose came off the washing machine that dumps the water out. So I had to go there and I looked and saw that it looked good. Everything was still clean. The guy guaranteed absolutely that it would not stain.

    We did have a little problem with our water system that we had put in to stop the iron. And there has been no marks at all from the iron water. So we got that fixed too. Everything has been great. It would've been better if it was less money, but it was worth what we got. The guys came when they said they would be, they called, they were courteous, and they put down paper on the floor when they walk in and out. They did a great job and they were totally professional. I've already recommended Bath Fitter and I would continue to recommend them. I had a wonderful experience with them.

    We had done a bathroom remodel on our main bathroom but it didn’t work out. We didn’t get it finished properly and didn’t get our money returned.     When we decided to have tub to shower conversion, we didn’t know who we were gonna get. So, we went to a home show in Voorhees. There were six or seven companies that do shower work and tub work, and we did go to two of them. We knew the representative who works for one them, but we felt that the money that we would pay for Bath Fitter, based on their reputation and guarantees, would be worth it for us in the long run. We did not wanna spend a lesser amount of money, have the work done, and then have to worry about it. We wanted a quality product that we wouldn’t have to worry about so we decided to go with Bath Fitter.

    We filled up the card and they called us, and their sales rep came to our home. We showed him the bathroom, how the tub was there, and he was very observant. He noted how many shampoo bottles and things we had around the tub. So, he knew right away how big of a shelving unit we were gonna need. He did preliminary measurements and he went over the different options thoroughly so we understood it. Our interaction was very nice and relaxed, we didn’t feel rushed, which we really liked. He called the next day to double check with us if we had any further questions. And I like that they did that because sometimes, you don’t think of something when the person’s there. But he was so thorough and gave us such good information that we didn’t have any more questions. We got a coupon at this home show that he was able to put towards our price so that was a nice little added bonus.

    Another person came out on our agreed time and double checked the measurements. I wanted to wait a little bit to have the work done, because I was having work done in my kitchen and other work done in my bathroom such as such as new flooring and new walls by a separate contractor that we had. Both Bath Fitters and my contractor agreed that Bath Fitter should do their work last. So, I had to wait to get the work done first. The Bath Fitter rep said, “Bath Fitter is gonna call you and try to set up your appointment, but every month, you just say you wanna wait a month. I wanna wait a month.’” I thought I was gonna wait until September to have it done, but we ended up moving some money around and being able to afford to do it sooner, and the work was done in our bathroom end of July, beginning of August.

    I thought there would be a few people, but my bathroom is small so a few people wouldn’t really fit in there to do it. But the one that came the first day did hard work. He was pounding to get everything out of there. And then, the second day, he actually had a helper who came and helped them put in some things. So, it was a two-day work and everything went fine. I really like how they protected my carpeting between the front door and where the bathroom is. They laid the tarp cloth down and made sure that we wouldn’t trip on them. Throughout the whole process, the installers, the salesman and the measurement guy made the appointment and showed up when they were supposed to show up. They worked hard and it was all done.

    They have in writing that we can only use certain products on the surface and they were very explicit to make sure of that, otherwise, we might ruin the surface. So, I read through it and I picked one of the products. But it has bleach in it and it bothers me with my lungs to use that product. They’re fine, but I don’t like using that stuff. I’m gonna have to go back to the literature and look at the other products on the list. That was my only issue but that’s my fault. It’s just awful, that bleach smell even with the windows open. Bath Fitter is an expensive product, but I figured we deserved it.

    I got a walk-in shower and a shower tub combination from Bath Fitter. I got referred to them through a friend who was really pleased with the install. The sales rep told me everything I needed to know and the installation was fine. I asked what would happen if I've got a major leak and the installer said they would be there hopefully that day or the next day, no later. I trust the installer. He did an excellent work and he did all the install on both bathrooms in four days. But when my commodes wasn't working properly, it took them longer than I thought than usual for them to get out to take care of it. That was a little over a week getting them out here to get this fixed. The first time, it was almost three weeks. But I had one working toilet and I'm the only one here, so I could give them some slack on that.

    And what's happening is they've got so much business that if they have a minor problem, it takes them a little bit longer to get to it. They don't have enough people to cover things. But they come out and fix the problem. With the commode, the problem was the valve that was on it. A lot of the issue had to do with my water itself 'cause I've got well water. I don't have city water, and there were stuff that had built up. They were here yesterday and replaced the valves on both of them. That was the second time that they replaced the valve on one in the bathroom. They're all done with it. They put a different valve on it because the flush valve for my water condition wasn't appropriate. I'm pleased with the Bath Fitter product. It was expensive but the product is guaranteed for life.

    We used Bath Fitter's product to upgrade our shower wall and floor tiles. They lay an acrylic plastic sheets over the existing tiles, without demolitions, and mold it into shape to fit the spaces. All the openings are sealed tight between acrylic plastic sheet and the tiles. Well after a few years, our shower floor becomes detached from the floor tiles, and is trapping water in between. The seal must have been broken and water has leaked inside the void space. We are concerned with potential mold issues in the near future. Their product is supposed to have a lifetime warranty, however, when We called to inform them of our problem, no one has returned my phone call. It's been a while now. We have also texted the Sales Representative - Lisa, but she did not respond either.

    I’ve had some remodeling done before and I didn’t wanna have to do it again. I’d like to have it done right so I went to Bath Fitter. I got the double door shower. The project got completed in August. I was comfortable with the sales rep There was no pressure and he explained the product. And then he just came out and had somebody do a first measurement. Everybody else did what they were supposed to do.

    The installation team came in and I showed him what I wanted done, to reiterate what needed to be covered. I didn’t have any problem. I had a closed in box area over top of my shower that had been closed in for whatever reason. It wasn’t up to the rafters, and they took that out and went back up to the rafters and install. So, it actually made my shower bigger and taller. I told them I was gonna get a new floor and there they were caulking. The guy said, “When the new floor comes in, it’s up to you, but we’ll come back and caulk the floor against the tub and shower again.” So, I told the guy that installed the floor not to do it. And the guy from Bath Fitter came back within a week after I called them, and re-caulked around the tub shower.

    Mark from Bath Fitter came and explained things to us. After hearing him, we then thought a Bath Fitter remodel would probably be the best and we purchased a surround shower. Then on the first time that the installation team came, they had brought the wrong color, so they had to go back. I was hopeful that it wouldn't take another 4 weeks and fortunately, they had one like it in Peoria, which is about an hour and 20 minutes from our place. So, the installation guy left here, went back to the factory, and someone from Peoria had brought it to him, and they recut or did whatever they had to do with it. While he was able to install it that day, what supposedly was a 3 or 4 hours work turned into an all-day event. I had other plans for that day and so I had to cancel them because of the time and the delay. Still, we actually got the work done in that same day so it worked out. And they did a great job too.

    I would like to share my story about Bath Fitter in the hopes that it will discourage any more homeowners from trusting this company in their home. My tub surround needed replacement warranty work for cracks in the corner and silicone patched screw holes, which were from the original install and were peeling off. I arranged for someone to be at my home for the install appointment because I work full time, and could not be home during the day. The first installer called me to verify the placement of the shower curtain rod (which was installed in the wrong place originally a few years ago).

    When I came home after work, I was in complete disbelief! There were stains on my carpet in the bedroom leading to the ensuite bathroom, I had scratches in the finish of my sink, and the rod was in the wrong place again! The new surround was not straight (it varied by ½” from side to side), the silicone work was extremely messy, especially at the joints and where the surround met the floor. My worst discovery was finding a huge open gap between the surround and the wall along the back. I could fit my hand in the gap and reach down against raw drywall. This is a huge water and moisture concern, as there was nothing preventing water from going into this gap and causing mold/moisture damage as it falls to the floor and pools. I contacted Bathfitter and they arranged to have a different installer come out to reinstall a surround and fix the deficiencies.

    Again, I arranged to have someone to be at my house for the second install. Unfortunately, this experience was not much better. Upon looking at the new surround, it was visually noticeable that the surround was not straight. The left hand side tilted upwards, and there was a difference of ½” between the door jam to the surround from the floor up. The right hand side of the surround had been jammed in very tight against a cabinet beside the surround. The molding on the cabinet had so much pressure against it that it shifted over and damaged the seams. There was now an unsightly gob of silicone where the surround molding ran into the cabinet. There is also an exposed edge between the surround and the bathtub. The seam around the tub had some silicone, however it was not consistent and I can feel the sharp edge of the surround.

    To summarize, after three attempts to install a surround, and many appointments to ‘fix’ the numerous deficiencies and errors, I was left with a product that has done permanent damage to my bathroom, is uneven and messy and concerns that install errors could cause moisture issues in the future. I do not have confidence in this product or the quality of the installation. What else is wrong that I have not yet discovered? This has been the worst experience I have ever had with anyone who has done work in my home. I have to look at this catastrophe (surround, cabinet and sink) every day, and it is a constant reminder that I will share my story with as many people as possible in the hopes that I can prevent other homeowners from hiring Bath Fitter to do anything in their home.

    I went to a home show here in Sioux City and Bath Fitter was there. I got a card from them and I filled it out, then they came out for a visit in my home and talked to me. The salesperson was very good, nice, respectable, and informative, and he did a marvelous job. I purchased the shower stall or the shower walls around my existing tub. 'Cause my tub is still good, I didn't need to replace it. So, they just did the walls for me and around my bathroom window without having to remove my bathroom window, and I like that idea. Then, they did an excellent job as far as installation and cleanup. The guy went ahead and put everything down, cleaned up after himself, and then finished within that same day. I'm most impressed with the professionalism in working with Bath Fitter. Even more, I'm totally satisfied and I love the overall product.

    Bath Fitter has a display in a mall, which I looked at, and my sister had them put a work in, too. A fellow did a sales visit for me and he went over how they would do the work and the products they would use. He also had samples of what they use. It was convincing and so I went with them for a shower enclosure. It had taken 2 days to do the job and the fellows did a good job of what they had to work with. They talked to us and they were very friendly and relatively knowledgeable. The job was done on the 1st of September and I’m well pleased with it. We liked the finished product very well. It’s very nice and easy to clean. And if someone is really interested, we would show them the finished product and see what they thought.

    This was the worst experience. The first tub installed was off level by 2". They cut through the wall into the bedroom and cut wires in the wall. Leaving the cut wires in the wall. Then they came to remove all the work done previously, while installing it they broke three floor tiles and ripped a towel bar off the wall leaving a gaping hole. When finished the shower head was 1-1/2" off center and not in line with the rest of the fixtures on the wall. Now they want to come back a third time to try and remedy the situation meaning taking out the tub again and putting in a bigger tub to try and cover the broken tiles and fix the plumbing. I told them I cannot give them a third chance to do something which should have been correctly done the first time. They now refuse to pay for the damages or refund our deposit.

    I was at a mall and Bath Fitter had a booth at the mall, and I was thinking about doing something so I went over there and talked to the guy that was over there and then he set me up an appointment. Bath Fitter's reps are all nice, and they came fairly quick. We sat and talked for a long time, and decided what we were gonna do and went ahead and did it. Everything's wonderful. We took our tub out and got just a stand-alone shower and some grab bar. We're getting older. The quality of our new shower is fine. I liked my other shower head better though. So, I probably will be switching that up because the other one has a bigger shower head. Other than that, we really like it.

    I was walking through Peddler's Village, and then they had the setup there for Bath Fitter. I heard about Bath Fitter for a long time, so I said let me hear what this lady has to say about it. She said so many people like Bath Fitter, and told me all the good qualities about it, which they do have a lot of good qualities. She also gave me a 10% and said it was up to me but since I was interested in redoing my bathroom, why wouldn't I give it shot. So I called and their rep came out and told me all about it and I went from there.

    The installation was wonderful. I can't complain about any of that. When they said they were gonna call in so many days, they did exactly that. They were here exactly on time when they said they were gonna be. And the installers couldn't be nicer. I am enjoying Bath Fitter. At first, everything was just perfect. But as time went on, I noticed a few minor problems. One is the little soap dish is slightly crooked. And I was wondering why, around the top, there was no molding and just a strip. So I don't know whether that's usual or normal or they do that. I just thought it would've been better finished off with the molding going around the top. I also noticed that there were two scratches in the door. I first thought it was a smudge. But overall I liked everything about Bath Fitter, and certainly the fact that it has a lifetime warranty.     Bath Fitter installed a new shower in our master bathroom over 4 years ago and it has stood the test of time. In one long day they replaced the original, clunky fiberglass shower stall that had come with our house when it was built 27 years before. We were 100% satisfied with the quality of materials and workmanship at the time of the Bath Fitter installation, and we remain so today.

    Because of the flexibility for building custom sizes with the tile layer flush against the walls, we were able to extend the interior depth of our shower stall about 6 inches and increase the overall cubic volume. It has made a huge difference to have that extra space. We love the corner shelf options and extra grab bars. The groove lines in the tile patterns and the hardware and trim around the door have been easy to keep clean. We have had no issues with the plumbing updates that were done to raise the height of the shower head and to ensure a proper installation of a new faucet. Our shower still looks like new. I did not want to write a review until I was sure our satisfaction would be unwavering, which it continues to be. We would not hesitate to use Bath Fitter in the future for other projects.     Everything went good with Bath Fitter. We got the stand-up shower and I love it. But after I found out the full price of it, I was kinda sorry that we got it. We probably could have gotten two of these for that price. The price is astronomical. And when the rep was here, he did everything about what we were going to get before he gave any kind of price thing. It started out terribly high. It was 10,000 and then, he kept coming down a little bit at a time and it came to 9,000. The installer did pretty good except he gouged the back wall. Apparently, he put a pipe up against it. I went over that and over it, and it never comes off and then, I finally felt it. It's a dig, and it's right where when you're sitting on the toilet, the light shines on it. But I'm sure it was something that just happened. Other than that, I don't have any gripes. But I would not recommend Bath Fitter. If you got money and you want it done fast, Bath Fitter does a beautiful job.

    I've used Bath Fitter for the third time and I purchased a bathtub. When I was there during installation, the guy was very courteous and seem to care about keeping the rest of the house clean. The only problem I had was I could not get a hold of the permitters. I've tried and tried but the bathtub has not been checked. I started calling and leaving messages right after they were done, so it's probably been about four months already. I've even told someone from Bath Fitters and they said that they would get word that it was never checked for permit.     Everything was better than anticipated in our Bath Fitter experience. In the very beginning, the sales rep who came out was very cordial, easy to talk with, good to explain the entire process, and just a very nice gentleman. He not overpowering nor a pressure type salesman. And the communication between the company and the next gentleman who came out to take the actual measurements was the same as he was also very pleasant. Then, each individual who came to the house called ahead before they got here, so we knew exactly when they were coming and who they were, and showed credentials and verified ID before they came in. They were very professional and not overbearing that, “I am the Bath Fitter and here’s what you're gonna do,” type thing. So, it was a very easy process.

    My wife and I ran ideas of what we wanted and then they accommodated these to the very best of ability, considering the materials and what they had to work with. And when the installation came, the gentleman that did the install was here within 10 minutes of the timeframe he said he was going to be so things went as smooth as possible. Of course, there always was going to be a little bit of a hiccup, but nothing that he couldn’t handle. He also didn’t take any breaks and he worked straight through. We’d offered him a sandwich or a cup of coffee, and he took a bottled water, but he didn’t take any coffee as he wanna keep working. He even treated everything as if it was in his own house. The only issue we had was the sliding glass doors on the shower as they were warped. So, he went ahead and reordered. I thought it was just a door, but he reordered a set of both doors.

    When the doors came in, another gentleman came out and put them in and realigned up the way they were supposed to be. In fact, he double-checked the doors first and one door was a good quarter inch warped and the other one was between a quarter and a half inch warped. So, he went ahead and put the new doors in, double-checked them again, and they were nice and straight and flush and have them aligned. We were extremely pleased with the entire process and we have no complaints as far as Bath Fitter's end goes. We had a little bit of issue with the finance company, but that has been taken care of. Now, we have also referenced Bath Fitter to a couple other people we know who are in the process of bath remodels.

    I had an appointment made for the morning, they were to come between 8-10 am. I get a call at 11 they are running late (no problem), they come around 1 and state they "can knock it out by 4". After they left we noticed the drain area was not built up and very weak if you stepped around the area, we were told it was fine so we had to fix it ourselves. Then chalking came off around the tub within months, we did not follow up immediately, which we should have but since we had a lifetime warranty it wasn't a huge priority and we used tape for the seal. We had them come in today and were told it is not part of their "lifetime warranty" and that they would have to charge us another $150 to fix their job. I called the company and specifically asked, "What is covered under our lifetime warranty?" They laughed and said not much. I am so exasperated with dealing with this company. Essentially we paid over $2k for a $600 enclosure.

    I had a shower liner and tub liner installed. The tech cut the holes too big. A 3" tub spout would not cover the hole. They agreed to come out and fix it. 1 month later they sent 2 techs out. They cut the holes for the hardware perfectly. However, they cut too short below the window and did a botched up patch job. They did not remove original liner from the walls but simply but a 2nd liner on top. The walls are spongy feeling and I've lost a lot of my tub space in the corners. I can't even sit a solo cup in the corner. The end caps they put in place are crooked with a 2" gap that they filled in with caulk. They have avoided all contact as of now. I have filed a dispute and filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau as well. My next step is small claims court. Be very cautious when using this company. I could have hired another contractor and installed tile for what I paid. Horrible installation. I will warn everyone of this company.

    Had two baths (tubs and shower walls replaced) in our home. Great product and the two baths were completed in one day for each. Incurred problems with the master shower wall material and shower curtain bar mounting brackets. Still has not been corrected or replaced since being completed 3 weeks ago. Frustrated with the lack of concern in getting the wall material replaced in a timely manner. Workmanship in the second bath was not as good as the first one we had done. We went with the full tub replacement rather than the tub over tub. We originally ordered tub over tub however the measurements were done incorrectly and the tubs would not fit properly over the existing tubs. Did not want to experience the same problem when reordering so, went with the full tub concept.

    We had our "one time free replacement" installed in Oct. 2019 and had found that the policy of Bath Fitter is to make us responsible for the crack in the liner. When the installer came in after waiting over 5 months for the replacement he shows me a form that I was told to sign or they would not install the replacement. I called the office and the woman (Carol) said that I had to sign this form or they would not do the work. I posted a picture of the form here that basically reads that we are responsible for the defect and the cleaner that we used although it was a recommended cleaner. Another picture I posted has the damaged piece of the liner after it was removed from the tub. So I signed the form in order to get the work done and the man installed the new liner.

    Four hours later the man told me he was finished and asked me to stand in the tub and see what I thought. Well lo and behold there was a soft flexing spot in the same area as the old liner. The installer acknowledge this and told me to fill the tub with hot water and let it sit overnight. There is still a soft spot in the tub. I called the woman at bath fitter who I had previously talked to about the form and reported the problem again. At the end of our conversation she informed me that the first problem was not because of the soft area over which the liner cracked, eluding to my wife and I as the cause of the damage. Very unprofessional! Now I guess we will wait it out until what I suspect will be another crack, exactly as the first.

    We had a claw foot tub insert installed around March of 2018. Within 6-8 months we had noticed a soft spot in the acrylic right under the shower and within a year of installation there was a 2" crack in the insert from the flexing of the soft area. We called for a inspection and had a date of April 26 for this but we could not be there for that date so we had to wait for the next time a person was in our area. June 11 was when they finally arrived to look at the tub and agreed it was defective. We were not told at that time it would be 8-10 weeks for the new insert to be ready as well as being informed on the phone that this was our "one free replacement".

    Now I am writing this on September 17, going on 3 months later and 5 months since notifying Bath Fitter of our problem with no response from Bath Fitter about when this will be repaired. I told the woman on the phone that the water was coming out from under the insert and she said to put silicon on the wet cracked insert. If this is my one free replacement, what will happen if this is installed improperly again. We paid $1800 for just the insert that I thought would be a life time product. The after sale customer service was not what I expected.

    Our problems have been resolved. We had two bathrooms done and two separate installers were involved. Adam did the work on our master bath and Dallas did the guest bathroom. Dallas botched the job in the guest bathroom so we requested for Adam to come help us with the repairs. He had to reinstall another tub surround and fix other plumbing issues discovered afterwards. If I had to rate Adam, I'd give him 5 stars.
    I don't know what could've happened if I had not reported them to Better Business Bureau and post complaints on their website, Facebook, and Tweeter.

    We recently had our two bathrooms (Masters and Guest) redone by your company and unfortunately the job wasn’t done properly. No complaints with plumbing issues but the back and side wall surround on the Guest bathroom is buckling up, and the Masters bathroom has visible scratches. They also installed the straight rod in the Guest bathroom too deep and will need to be replaced with a curved one. We’ve been patiently waiting for them to come back and do repairs for a couple of weeks.

    They finally scheduled a repair today and we waited the entire day, but NO SHOW! I called the local office and spoke of a rep, Ann. She has always been very pleasant and helpful, even tried to track the workers. I spoke to her several times today and our last conversation was around 3:30 pm. I never heard back from her and now the office is closed. This is unacceptable since we’ve already paid them for the work. Ann said they would put a hold on some of the payment until the repairs are done, out of nearly $12K only $2K hasn't cleared.     I like Bath Fitter's guarantee and the way the walk-in shower was built. Iit’s built out that’s gonna last a while, and it’s super easy to clean. It doesn’t get all funky. The sales rep was excellent. He explained everything, and he didn’t leave anything out. I was very happy. A guy came out and measured everything. It took him three months to come, but they have to build it and make it to fit your bathroom, and the right size. Bath Fitter made sure they got everything measured right, so when they bring it in, it fits right in there. They have to trim the edges a little bit, but it goes right in.

    The installation guy was quiet and worked right along. He didn’t have a fit when something didn’t work. I hardly heard a word out of him. He was great. The installation took two days. On the second day, he was here till about 9:00, but that was because he ran into a drain problem, and that wasn’t his fault. But, other than that, things went fine.

    Bath Fitter called the day before the install to remind us that the plumber would be at our house at 7 AM. He was here at 7 AM and got to work removing the old fixtures and installing the new valves assemblies. Just as he finished the upstairs around 8 AM, the tub removal gentlemen showed up and proceeded to remove to bathtub. Just as he finished about 9 AM, so was the plumber, the shower installer showed up along with the plumbing code inspector. The installer got to work installing a new floor base and installed the new shower floor, the plumber finished connecting the shower base. The installer made all the necessary measurements and proceeded to fill in the wall as needed. Once done, he went to make the wall panel. Laid out and cut to size, made the two walls and window cut out. He placed the wall in place and it fit like a glove. He then proceed with the window framing and then the trim.

    Next he installed the door tracks. Cleaned up the remaining mess (can't do this kind of install without making a mess, it's just part of the job) and sealing the trim. Lastly he installed the doors. Finished at 3PM. Eight hours from tub to shower! Each gentlemen that worked on this job showed a very professional attitude and ability. Job well done.     Bath Fitter did our bathroom 10 years ago. I used them again when I wanted my other bathroom done in one day. This time, we ended up having them tear the tub out and we had a full shower put in. Everything was pretty well standard with what we picked out. The sales rep was really good. He showed us all the different colors that we could get the wall in and the designs. I wanted the marble look because I wanted it to go with the counters that we were putting in. We tore out the whole bathroom and we had it all done before they put in the shower. All they did was put in the shower and they caulked all around where the tub met the floor. It came out very nicely and I'm very happy with it. I like that the shower is big.

    I would and have recommended Bath Fitter to people. I was shocked that they got the tub out of there. Only one man did that. I have a two-story house and the guy had no problem making it down my steps. He cleaned up after themselves well and I was just really impressed. They did a nice job which I knew they would because they did a nice job the first time.

    There was another thing that I liked. I had called Bath Fitter to come out and recaulk my other bathroom that they had done. They came back two or three times and recaulked it because it looked bad and it started making it look old. The guy was so nice. I told him about the side peelings on the walls of the glass that they put. I didn't know why the paint started peeling off but it looked terrible. I have slider doors on the bathtub so you still have to step in to get into the bathtub. I asked the guy if there was any way that I could have them replaced. I was gonna pay for it and everything.

    He told me that everything was under warranty and that was a shock to me. I was so impressed that their warranty is a lifetime one. He let me pick stuff out. He said they don't make the doors anymore but they would totally replace them. I got him to match my other bathroom. The brushed nickel is what they both are now. Before, they were white and the paint was peeling off.

    I also told the guy that the paint had all worn off on my faucets and he said that was under my warranty too. He added they would replace my faucets. I got him to match both bathrooms. It was just so nice that they did that. They changed the showerhead and everything. The showerheads and the faucets are all the same, even though I got the full glass doors in the walk-in shower. The guy told me too that if the glass would ping or anything like that, they would replace the glass doors. No questions asked.

    I am very concerned about other people going through what I have with Bathfitter, Burnaby, BC location. Rob from Bathfitter came to my home at the end of April this year. The cost of everything I chose came to just over $5000. I paid a deposit of $769 for my one day install to take place. Eventually it was scheduled for June 3, 2019. They never called to confirm the install date. I had to call myself to make sure they were still coming. Rob had told me the water needed to be shut off all day. Apparently it was only required for the morning. Ada, the employee in the shop, advised she had dropped the ball and was supposed to call me to confirm the install.

    Chino, the installer, was the shining light. He did a great job of getting the walls installed, but the tub overlay did not fit! No matter what he did, it would not fit. The tub was not the right size and would eventually crack if installed as is. His boss, Orlando, wanted him to build up the bottom with foam. In doing that, I would lose space in my tub. Furthermore, the foam would become malleable when I have a bath, making the overlay movable. He was unable to install the tub that day.

    Also, I had paid a premium for fixed brush nickel shower bar, Chino said it wasn't available so he had grabbed me a cheap chrome one that's not fixed, it just sits there with suction, so I could at least put a curtain up. Therefore their 'one day installation claim' is not true. I called Bathfitter and spoke to Orlando to determine what his plans were to make this right. He said I would get a discount between $0-$400 possibly. Rob was booked another day to come to my home. He brought a test overlay which fit better than the one they had brought me on the install day. However, that was just a sample, it was extremely beat up and not suitable for install.

    Chino was booked to come again, which he did. I asked for the refund amount to be in writing. Ada and Orlando were evasive and unwilling to put an amount on paper pending how well the install went. I soon learned why they didn't want to commit to a refund amount. They sent Chino back with the EXACT same tub! Orlando demanding he install it. I measured the tub myself, it was not the right size for my tub at all. I was very disappointed Bathfitter wasted my time again. I explained to Ada via multiple emails that I am a shift worker and I also gave her dates I am available. Since I am a shift worker, I am available a lot during the week. She provided me one date at the beginning of August for the install for 8AM. I finished my night shift at 6AM and I explained that I would be unable to open the door since I would be asleep.

    I have not heard from Ada since August 6, 2019. I have sent her emails to try to get ahold of her. I am coming up on waiting six months for a supposed one day install that Bathfitter advertises. I want to share my story so no one else hires them thinking it is easy. I made a video of me walking on the tub that did not fit that I am happy to share. You can hear 'clomp clomp' as I walk across it. It's very upsetting when you consider how much this is costing me only to have them disappear. Since I haven't heard from them in a month, I don't know what is going on.

    My experience with Bath Fitter was great. Everything went very well. Bath Fitter had their list of references that they update every six months. I recognized a name and called a girl scout friend. Then, I found out from somebody else at church that they really liked Bath Fitter before they sold their house, and it increased the value of their house. We had a bathtub and a shower done. We had two bathrooms done.

    The sales representative, Bill, was an absolute sweetheart. The installer really knew his stuff. My husband and I went out to outback and my husband looked and said, "Oh, whoever did the caulking here didn't know what they were doing."     I was at the Huntington Mall and there was someone there at the booth and I filled out a paper. And Bath Fitter called me the very next day and somebody showed up. There were three people I dealt with. The salesman came, he was fine and then, someone else came and talked to me. And then, the installer was very nice too. I was real pleased. I bought a walk-in shower. I had one-piece bath before, so they took it out and they fixed the walls so they could adhere the acrylic and install it to the walls. I was pleased with it all.

    When the house was built, a scald-proof faucet on the tub was put in. So, you couldn't get the water mixed up to a certain temperature. I had little granddaughters at the time, and it didn't get hot enough for me. And then, I've had two knee replacements, so it was hard to get in and out of the tub. So, that's why I like the walk-in shower. I get a good, hot shower. I have a shower everyday, and sometimes more than that.

    Even before my review made it up here on CA the manager at BF had come out and seen the issue and assigned the work which was done quickly.
    The bathroom looks great and I'm very pleased with the work.

    4/5 is based solely on the price being a bit high, but I did choose that path. Time will tell if it was a good choice, but for now I do recommend their work.

    I chose Bath Fitter based on the very professional presentation and "Lifetime Warranty". This in spite of being just under $3000 more than other bids (though not really for "equivalent materials" - I really like the idea of a form-fit acrylic wall). The installers were polite, on time, and worked hard to get all installed in one day, which they accomplished except for needed a 2nd visit from the plumber due to a mis-matched part. The local manager himself came out to touch up sheet rock, paint and some of the caulking and inspect the job.

    While inspecting it I noticed there was a gap between the top edge (acrylic) and the wall (sheet rock). The gap goes most the way around and is really bad in the corners. It is almost an inch above and right of the shower head and more than an inch at the back corner. I checked my walls with a carpenter's square and they are pretty close to square; much closer than the acrylic. It appears the acrylic was either folded in the wrong place or the plywood they put behind the acrylic is thinner than the sheet rock (the plywood filled in where the old tub insert was, but does not go to the top of the acrylic) which would cause the acrylic to bend out. I am hoping this can be resolved as the bathroom looks great and the plumbing and fixtures are top notch. I have a pretty good video showing the gap but am not sure how to load that to this site.

    I knew that Bath Fitter was fast but I didn't know that it was so expensive. I had a tub and I had that taken out, and put in a stand-up shower. I started in May and they put it in by the end of July. The sales rep was great. He was a good salesman and he really explained everything and he convinced me even though I didn't wanna spend that much money. I felt like he knew everything. He showed me the product and other products like what other companies would use, and I was impressed with it.

    The installer was a nice guy. He cleaned up and he put a cloth down so as not to track in. I’m in a condo in an upstairs unit that doesn’t have an elevator, so he did really well. He worked straight through. I tried to get him to eat some lunch, but he said he wouldn’t wanna stop. The process was fast. You never think you would use the word beautiful for a shower, but it’s beautiful. I’ve had friends come over and they all say that too.

    On 6/15/19, Scott **, a salesman for Bath Fitter, came to my home to sell me a newly installed shower. During that time, I seriously and repeatedly specified how I wanted this work done while my son and I, and our German Shepherd guard dog, were on vacation, and Scott assured me that the shower could be installed in one day.

    He was supposed to schedule the install on the Monday after we had left for vacation, we left on August 2, 2019, and the Monday after was August 5. He told us that we would need to have a custom door installed to fit the shower and that they would have that man and company come in the same day to measure, but he couldn't guarantee that the custom doors would be installed by Friday and assured me that if not it would be completed soon there after. He also kept saying, "But I think we can have it finished by your return, I just can't guarantee it." There was also a damaged part of the wall next to the shower that I wanted repaired at the same time, and Scott assured me that they would fix it as well.

    On Thursday, August 1, where we had to take our guard dog Tara to be boarded with her trainer in Raleigh, we stopped by the Garner Bath Fitter Store to view the chosen design there and make sure everything was okay. I spoke to a lady with dark short bobbed hair, and there was a younger ** girl there also. I looked at the same design as I had picked out with Scott, and the dark haired lady came up to me and began asking me if she could help. I told her who I was and that this one, a beige design was the one I picked out.

    Right away she corrected me and said "No, that's not the one you picked out, it's a white tile." I corrected her immediately and stated "No, it was a beige color, I didn't pick a white tile." Worried, she told me "I'll go and check in your file and off she went to check. She came back and said "You're right, you did pick the Pearl color," and she admitted that I was looking at the right design. I told her, worried, "Can you make sure the installers install the right one please?" The lady stated, "Yes, don't you worry, we'll make it right." I wasn't so sure, but hoped that she would.

    On Friday, August 9, my son and I returned home, and where I was excited to see my new shower and use it for the first time, I was majorly disappointed as it was not nearly finished. The shower was only half done, there was no glass surround, and no doors installed. Not only that, it was not the right design I had chosen with Scott, the salesman, and it was marked a "Pearl" color on the contract, but what they installed was white tile. Even worse, the damaged part of the wall, where it was green in color and looked moldy, was not repaired either.

    I called up to the Garner store and I was hugely upset, and asked why they hadn't finished the shower, after all, they had an entire week to do so. They never did give me any straight answer that I could make sense of, and they hadn't even contacted the installer for the custom doors at that point in time to install them. I was very angry and they said they would get in touch with the installer and get back to me. I was fuming that I tried to complain up the chain of command, I was that upset and angry. See emails back and forth.

    Tracey **, regional manager, sent me an email dated Saturday, August 10, 2019, the day after we came back off of vacation assuring me that she would get all of my issues addressed. She said she would call on Monday. I sent her a reply email back on Sunday, August 11 at 10:39 am, when I came off of my twelve hour night shift taking time not to go to sleep, and responded to her email. I offered to keep the shower they had began to install but not finished, and they could reduce the cost by 50%, which they refused to do. Tracey alleged that I had to pay an extra cost for Pearl, but Scott had clearly checked the "Pearl," color and the total cost was $8996.

    I had put $1000 down for a deposit which left a balance of $7996. I then stated that in the email I would pay, with 50% off no more than $3498 balance. They refused it. At no time was there any indication on the contract, nor did Scott say there was any addition for the Pearl color. I corrected Tracey in her errors, I reminded her of how their advertising was false in that they hadn't met one promise or assurance as indicated by Scott or their advertising, that there was now a question of breach of contract, and fraud, where I was promised something that they didn't deliver and they took money in deposit of those assurances. I also let her know that, as an RN the amount I was losing when I had to take off from work having not been able to sleep during the day in order to continue handling this mess. Where they refused a discount of 50%, I dropped it down to a final offer of 15% which they agreed to.

    At that time it made the remaining balance a total of $6647.0 left to pay. In this same email from Tracey **, dated August 13, 4:28pm, she agreed to the 15% discount, and she asked me what day was good for me to have the custom door installer come and install the doors and the glass. I told her Thursday, August 22, first thing in the morning. I stated I wanted the installer, and the custom door installer to be there no later than 09:00 am.

    On Wednesday, August 14, 9:25 am, Tracey sent me an email stating her contractor Tom would be coming over on Thursday, August 22 to fit in the marble tops to the shower, and she stated that she would confirm that the custom door company will be there on the 23 to install the glass doors and the glass surround. I let her know that was not acceptable, that where I can't sleep during the day, that means I can't go to work at night and they both need to come on Thursday and finish the shower.

    I called, and they got to the point now where they see my number and don't pick up the phone and let it go to voicemail. Even though I had previously left voicemails they either call me back and don't leave a message, then when I call them back upon waking up to get ready to go to work, I either leave them a voicemail or they don't pick up the phone upon seeing my number and send me to voicemail which only infuriated me further than before. I let Tracey know that the shower had to be completed "In its entirety," on Thursday and anything more than that was not acceptable.

    On Thursday, August 22, at 08:06 am, Tracey sent me an email stating I had not stated if Friday would work for me regarding the custom door men coming to install the glass. Obviously, she didn't read my email where she would have determined that I wanted the shower finished on Thursday, and it was at this time that she informed me that the marble, now installed on the half finished shower, had to sit for 24hrs before the glass people could come and install the glass. She stated the sealant had to "Cure," but mentioned nothing of this in her previous email. Tom, installed the final marble, he did a good job, and came early in the morning, but still the shower was not completed, and again, having come off of a night shift, I was tired, and now, again, I was terribly angry and upset.

    I tried to call Tracey on the number she gave me and told her how upset I was, and angry too, she threw Scott under the bus by telling me that he was "Dishonest," that he "Lied," to me and the she had talked to him about these things. I told her it didn't matter, he represented Bath Fitter, and, therefore, that makes Bath Fitter responsible. I called Scott and left a message that she had said this about him and how she threw him under the bus, I also let him know that her acknowledging such a thing to me was totally unprofessional on her part and only served to lower my opinion of her to unfathomable lows realizing how despicable she was and is to have divulged such a thing to me. There was never any apologies worth mentioning anywhere of the mess Bath Fitter had caused, only from Scott.

    On August 22, at 10.19 am I sent an email back to Tracey and told her that, just like government does to contractors that don't hold up their end of the bargain, for every day I don't have a completed shower, I am going to continue to deduct 10% off of whatever the current lowest balance is at that time. I informed her that, where the current balance is $6647. - 10% (664.70) = $5,982.30 balance currently owed as of August 22 for not having the shower completed again. I also told her that, if it's not completed tomorrow, August 23, I will then owe $5,982.30 - 10% (598.23) = $5384.07 remaining balance and that each day the shower is not completed I'm going to take off another 10% until it is either completed or the balance gets down to 0!

    My phone rang a couple of times after that email was sent, but it rang once each time and quit, not giving me enough time to answer it. As far as I'm concerned, I'm done talking and negotiating. On the phone when I first called her, she tried to renounce her responsibilities, as promised by Scott, where they said they would arrange the custom door company to come in and install the door and windows and put it on me, and I put her straight telling her that was a breach of contract and that it was her responsibility to complete that as initially indicated both on the contract and in communication by Scott. She hung up on me at the time where I was so angry and upset at her.

I can just sense the mold growing!!! Didn't properly seal the handle in the shower either. Guys bragging how good they are, and I come to find my garage flooded. The neglect on an install is shameful.

    I've used Bath Fitter before. I own a house in Illinois where they redid a bathtub and unit for me. Recently, I got walls, plumbing & a shower rod from them. I liked their products and I really didn't look at any place else. But their salesman didn't follow up with anything. He made it sound like Bath Fitter was a family-type thing and they care about their customers. That was not really what sold me, but that was his promise. He said he'd stay in touch throughout the process but I didn't hear from him after the sale. I also noticed a couple nicks on the ceiling after the installation. I can touch that up with touch-up paint, though. Other than that, the installer did a great job. The bathroom looks very nice and I'm pretty much pleased with it.

    Do not use this company unless you want to get a cheap product at a premium price that takes MONTHS to get installed. That whole installed in less than a day thing is a gimmick, not at all accurate they might actually get the work done in 8-12 hours but what they don't tell you even when you ask is that it takes them 60-90 days to actually show up. And even after that the product isn't usable. I am over 90 days on my shower remodel, and it's still not usable. I make calls to the company and they never return my calls. I am fairly convinced they got the sale, and then couldn't possibly care less after that. Terrible product, Terrible Service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    Bath Fitter's history made us go with them. Everything they do, they do right. I don’t care how much it costs. We were looking around to see who was gonna do the job, and who could do it right. They know tubs and how to interface them with your existing stuff. And they did a perfect job, too. The sales representative at Bath Fitters was kind, and we had a good and very comfortable interaction.

    We purchased a bathtub and the installer was good. He could interface with us, joke around, and still be able to stay at-task. He was one guy and he did the whole job. And he knew everything!     A gentleman from Bath Fitter came around and talked to us. He went out of his way to help us and show us what he had. He was here for several hours, and he did a good job. We got a tub and a shower in one bathroom, and then we got a different shower in another bathroom. Two installers came and they were great. They were very informative. One of guys took one and a half days, and the other one took pretty much two days. But the handles on my shower door sticks out real far, and the door would only open so far.

    The installer was going to come over and look at our next-door neighbor, and he said he was gonna get us another handle that was shorter. So I thought he said that as soon as they did the installation at our neighbor, he would have a fellow come over our house and put on the handle. But I don't think my neighbor got anything installed yet. Other than that, they were good. Everything went fantastic with Bath Fitter and we're really enjoying it.

    Several years ago I Met a Re-Bath salesman. He came to my home, showed what they could do. Gave me a bid, I gave him a $700 Deposit. He said the crew would be out in 4 days. Nobody showed up. In Feb. 2018 I stopped at the Bath Fitter's showroom, met Rick ** “a great person”. He showed me around the beautiful showroom. I saw and got some great ideas of what I wanted. Rick scheduled a salesperson to come to my home. Steve came and showed some of the styles but was not sure if the hand shower I wanted would work, but I placed the order.

    Two days later I stopped at the showroom again and met Jessica. We went in the showroom and I saw a couple things that Steve hadn’t talked about. Jessica was great, helped me change and add the couple things I liked. Two days later Mark came to remove the old tub, add new sub floor and install a shower, then he cleaned the whole bathroom. He is very friendly and a great guy!! The shower is beautiful. Everything is working great. After a years it still beautiful. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BATH FITTER TO ANYONE!!!

    I give installation and sales 5 stars, but what I did not know beforehand, was that you cannot control the flow of the water. (Cannot make the flow stronger or weaker.) These are water savers, so taking a shower is no longer as invigorating as I had before with a store-bought handheld shower head that was also water saver. So I'm a little disappointed that I cannot get more "force" and that I cannot turn the flow down to 1/2 way to save even more water, which is important when you have a well.

    The installation was clean, well done and very good. Since we are two seniors using this shower when I was asked if I wanted a non-slip floor installed, I happily agreed and paid for it. After about 1 1/2 years of use I noticed a black ring forming on the floor surface. I called and was advised by the lady who answered the phone that it was not unusual and I should try several ways to clean it. None worked. She actually said that she had several kids using the shower and it also happened to her.

    The next call resulted in the answer that it was the coating wearing away and it was usual. It would cost me several hundred dollars to either redo or remove totally. This would also happen again. The coating was a mixture of glue and sand and wears away. My shower now has an even larger black ring and since the project originally cost $7,500 and I was never informed that this would happen. I am not happy and do not think this is a fair practice.

    We went to a home show and we talked to Bath Fitter. They had an impressive looking product so, we went with them. The salesman came to the house and went through and priced everything. We told him what we wanted, he wrote it down, and then we signed a contract. They told us about how many weeks it would be before they would come to install it, which was pretty accurate.

    We purchased a shower surround and the installation people came and had everything on the truck they needed. They originally said it would take a day and a half but it took them one day to do it. They were good at what they were doing and they were clean. They protected everything that was around them. Also, they were willing to answer any questions we had.     Bath Fitter put a whole new shower in and the installation went real good. They got it done in one day. But we got a couple of things we’re not very happy with. We want somebody to come back and talk to us about it. The guy put a safety bar on the side of it and when you take a shower, there’s rusty water that comes out from underneath them. We also don’t like the shower head. I’m 6’7” and my wife's 5’3”. It’s permanently fixed and we can’t turn it. Other than that, we’re loving our new shower. It’s 100% better than what we had. We’ll recommend it. I think it was awfully high-priced but everything is good.

    No one does the wraparound thing but the minimal caulking other than Bath Fitter, and that’s kinda what we wanted so we went with them. The warranty was also there, and I think that’s a good resale value too. The finished product was great. It’s just that it’s really expensive so we had to wait to actually get it on our schedule. We signed the contract and everything and then put a thousand dollars down, and all of a sudden it was an emergency situation.

    We had two trees that were falling on the house and our main water broke. It was terrible. I can’t not do the water. I can’t not take these trees down that are falling on the side of the house and I never knew how much it cost to take down trees. But the flipside of it, Matt in Brookfield really worked with us and put it on the kind of the spring-summer schedule. That gave us enough time. He really bent over backwards. The sales rep, Tony, is great too. Everybody was really good and I was very satisfied. Once we got everything under way, they were very accommodating. I was worried because we have an older house and there was gonna be a plumbing problem. I would go up there and the plumber would say everything was fine, and everything’s been fine. I understand if anything leaks or anything goes wrong with it, we’d call Bath Fitter. That’s their warranty.

    WARNING! Do not do business with Bath Fitter. In our opinion this company is deceptive and unethical. We had a salesman here to sell us a new shower. This is not a big shower and the cost was excessive. The cost was $6800. We cancelled the next morning, but Bath Fitter processed a “loan” anyway. It turned out to be a credit card. It immediately went on our credit report. We got a tiler to do our shower for half the cost and the shower will be retired. We could not get the loan because of Bath Fitters erroneously processing the card on a cancelled order. The salesman was not upfront with any of the things we needed to hear. Bath Fitter did nothing. THEY ARE A SHAM!!!!

    The Bath Fitter sales rep was pretty nice although he kinda pressured a little bit on I had to make the decision that day. But I was ready for it, anyway, and that was the only part I didn't like about him. The installation guys were cool. They ended up with two of them and they were gonna take a day and a half to do it. The two of them showed up and they got it done in one day. I liked both those guys that were here. I have a shower installed and the shower itself is nice but the shower head unit they put in there has knocked my water pressure right down to zip and none. It has some kind of conservative head in it and I'm not sure how to take it apart to get rid of what's making it do that.

    Also, the shower curtain sucks. For $7,000, I would think they could throw in more than a $2 shower curtain. It's one of those real thin, light things and when the water is running, the shower curtain sucks in. I gotta keep knocking it off me. It's kinda like taking a shower in a cheap motel. And the handles they put in there are chrome-plated, but they're not knurled so when you grab onto it, your hand doesn't fly down on it and you can go put your hands. Both of the handles are just as slippery as can be. If I'm washing my hair and I go to grab onto it, I can't hold on to it. My hand just slides right off of it. Then, I have a spot in there that it seems like the water sets for longer than it should. It doesn't drain out in one of those spots and the guy said he's gonna check on that but it has been a month and a half ago and I hadn't heard from him since.

    In May I had a sales consult to replace my old fiberglass tub. Initially I wanted a tub to shower conversion but the salesman indicated that there would be a gap between my floor tile and the tub because the shower base would not be the exact size as the tub. He recommended that I replace the old garden tub with a new garden tub. I agreed since I did not want to replace floor tile.

    Entered into the agreement and was called to set up install date a few days later. On day of install the installer showed up and discovered the new garden wouldn't fit through my bathroom door and it was far, far from a similar design to my old one. As we were discussing the situation I mentioned that my initial idea was to do a tub to shower conversion but was told the sizes didn't match. The installer advised me that they did in fact have the appropriate size in stock and that he wasn't sure what confused the sales guy. Installer attempted to call his local manager to explain that the tub won't fit through the door but manager was not available as it was a Saturday. Next step was to call corporate.

    The corporate person who took the call was stunningly rude, immediately confrontational, and would not shut up long enough for me to talk. She berated both me and the installer and stated that if I wanted to change out the tub for a shower base I would still need to pay for the tub (that wouldn't fit) and that "she's got me" because of a signed contract. Yes, she actually used the words "we got you". After being attacked for several minutes I told her that I was ending the conversation and would address the situation legally if needed and she started a whole new round of insults. Finally ended with, "You know what, you do whatever little thing you think you need to," and hung up on me.

    I spoke to the installer again, who was very professional and seemed knowledgeable, and he recommended that I call the regional office on Monday to work it out. The installer profusely apologized for the treatment I received. On Monday June 10th before I could call the local office I received a call from "corporate" stating that they were refunding my deposit so I could get what I wanted. Keep in mind all I wanted was a shower base and despite the profoundly abusive treatment, I still planned on simply having the local office take the tub back and give me a shower base...you know- that would fit through my door.

    I agreed to the refund, was told I would see a receipt in my email in a few days. June 13th I called back and asked for the status of the refund as was told that as soon as accounts payable/receivable approves the transaction I will get a refund. I called the office again last week, was put on hold, and no-one came back on the line. It has been over a month and Bath Fitter refuses to refund the deposit when the company itself initiated the order cancelation.

    We hired the Wilmington, N.C. branch to replace 1 standard shower (May 28-29) and one shower/tub combo (May 30-31). This has been a horrible experience not only with quality of product, lack of professionalism during installation, but with the Area Development Manager ‘attempting’ to resolve concerns/issues as well. We had just invested major $$$ getting Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring in our house. On both different installations the floor got cut/damaged while the installers were cutting the quarter round/molding. On one of them (shower/tub combo) there was a HUGE one inch long visible cut in the floor. The next major issue was the cut and the scuffs on/in the tub. How did this get shipped this way and make it through all of the checks and inspections that it supposedly goes through? Next, the trim/molding. There was a piece of trim that was obviously damaged/stained and should have never been used.

    Once again, how did such a defective piece of Bath Fitter material make it through all of the quality assurance inspections and checks that you all claim are in place? Caulking. I don't even know what to say here. I keep thinking about all I've heard since starting this adventure with Bath Fitter about professionals and professionalism. The caulking is anything but professional. Nearing the end of the second bathroom (Main Bath, with tub) the installer discovered that he had the wrong Corner Shelf. Again, I go back to all of the supposed checks, inspections, etc. in the whole process. How did NO ONE catch this until it was too late? Now we have an incomplete tub/shower that is partially usable. From May 31, when this bathroom was (in)complete, until July 11, 2019 we have had no shelves in this tub/shower. Major inconvenience. Pics available for all of the above.

    No pictures provided for the following because it required quick action by both the me and the installer. Somehow, one of the THREE faulty cartridges that the installer had installed in the Main Bath did not work properly and when he turned the water main back on...by the time he got to the bathroom it had sprayed water all over the bathroom. When I seen him running out of the house I knew something was wrong and when I discovered what had happened I quickly grabbed bath towels to quickly dry the walls and floor and the bathroom fixtures in general. This was a situation obviously new to the installer so I'm not sure he understood all the ramifications with all of the water. After getting it all dried up as best WE could, we discovered the insulation that was exposed was wet and had to be replaced also.

    In all of the paperwork, recordings while on hold, the Sales Consultant, etc. all we hear and see is "professionals". This whole evolution in MY HOUSE doesn't show as professionals to me. My wife and I paid over $11,000.00 for our bathrooms to have a "professional" shower/shower tub installed by BATH FITTER and I don't think we got anywhere near what we paid for with the lack of professional (scratched/blemished/damaged/defective) materials and unprofessional workmanship shown and the unprofessional manner I have been dealt with by the area development manager.

    After numerous calls to reach a supervisor/manager to get the scratched tub/cut floors/defective material/crappy caulking/etc. resolved I was finally able to speak to the Area Development Manager who was at a working conference in Las Vegas. So we had the time difference to deal with as well, not to mention I was made to feel like I was bothering her because (even though she said she was working and to call any time) I could never get a timely answer or response. I was ASSURED that all of these issues would be resolved quickly; AND I would be compensated fairly for my time and multiple phone calls that I (not Bath Fitter) had to make to coordinate with the flooring company to get the flooring fixed; my time on the phone with Bath Fitter multiple times trying to figure out how all of this was going to be corrected; having to use, and deal with the inconvenience of, an incomplete bath shower (for what ended up being FORTY TWO days).

    My time FOR ME cleaning up the mess when the bathroom was soaked and your installer did not know what to do/how to clean it up; my time, water, and electricity washing and drying the towels used to clean up the mess made when water sprayed all over my bathroom, (after the water mess) my time being on my cell phone whenever the installer would go to the water main and he wanted to be on the phone with me standing in the bathroom so I could tell him if there was another water explosion when he turned the water on; and that the Area Development Manager asked for MY PATIENCE because she wanted to come and see this for herself.

    Well, she NEVER came to see it for herself and when she finally offered compensation it was insulting. It was so insulting that I declined it. I did accept the amount for the flooring replacement labor and material; after all that was literally the LEAST Bath Fitter should have done. Add to this all of the obvious STRESS that all of this caused from a company that, at every opportunity, boasts about the ‘professional’ product, ‘professional’ workmanship, ‘professional’ etc., and yet everything about my experience with Bath Fitter does NOT say professional.

    After SIX WEEKS they really messed up, unprofessional bathroom has finally been fixed…after six weeks of living with it as an incomplete shower/tub. Through my efforts and coordination with the flooring company the floor has been fixed at this time. The workmanship definitely much better this time…materials, still flawed. This is the condensed version; this is not everything. I tried to keep it short in the interest of the reader. Bath Fitter, if you would like more details, I know you have my contact information. For what we paid for this, it was definitely not worth it.

    I had a relic tub/shower removed and a relic shower removed. I was told the crew would be there at 10:00 a.m. however the plumber showed at 7:00 a.m. Later in the week - after the install - I received a voicemail from Patty (I think) stating the crew would arrive increments starting at 7:00 a.m. So, I blame my cell carrier for that.     My dealings with the Buffalo, NY Office were positively dreadful. The installer Rob ** was good and they have a good product but this location appears to be severely mismanaged. The biggest issue is that I paid them in full upon completion on a Wednesday and the following Monday they charged me a second time even though I was told that they don't keep our financial information on file when I called them on Wednesday. Why was this done and to how many people and what are their procedures for storing and protecting customer's sensitive financial information?

    We are a first time and now last time customer. Other highlights: They were going to come to our house on the wrong day, they pulled our installer off of his scheduled 8:00 AM start so that they could help another customer (keep in mind first time customer, $4,000 job). Sales person did not add ceiling to our order so installer was unaware and the fact that they charged me twice. We paid in full July 3rd, Manager returns to work after a Holiday Weekend and the first thing that he does is charge us again? Wow!

    I was pleased from start to finish. The salesman, Tony, was wonderful to work with. He was upfront, knew his stuff and was personable. I don’t like when companies try to hide pricing, which is what he did not do. The installer was courteous and careful, doing a wonderful job. The tub that was given to him was wrong, so he ran to get the correct one, which was a relief. The finished product is well done and couldn’t be happier. One thing I wish they had done was told me to take a before and after photo. That would be a great thing to have when I show people how great it looks from what it did before.

    We called Bath Fitter up to get a price and the salesman who came out explained to us how everything would be set up, how everything would look, how it would be designed and how the warranty worked. We were pretty sold on that. It was very informative. They also told us what to do and what not to do. Then they scheduled an appointment for the installation. They came out and got it done. It was pretty quick and everything was good with them. We got the tub with the surrounding walls and we love it.

    I would like to start by expressing my admiration for the product and the installation. I am however displeased with the space. I admit to having made a misinformed decision opting for this "roll-in" shower replacing our bathtub. Others must take these things into consideration when deciding to install a "Roll-in" shower.

    With a "roll-in" shower there is a flexible barrier across the front of the floor which is placed 7 inches closer to the rear wall do to a roll up ramp. There is not enough space for showering normally much less if in a transport wheelchair. The shower curtain must be managed so there is never a fold over the front barrier or there will be mopping to be done when you finish your shower. The corner shelves are pretty but useless for the most part because they are not tall enough nor wide enough to hold normal sized shampoo or body soap dispensers. Alas, my showers are no longer as comforting as they were with our old Bathtub.

    The house is about 40 years old and everything was wearing out. It needed to be fixed. Bath Fitter was the only remodeling company that I had heard of, other than just absolutely devastating the bathroom and we didn't wanna be six weeks without a bathroom. The sales representative was very informative. He explained our options, what was available and what wasn’t, and he went over it very carefully with us.

    The installation team was very professional and polite too. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They were out of here by 2 o’clock and everything was done. They redid all the plumbing and covered the tub with a new plastic insert. They also did the walls and the sliding glass doors. I was very impressed. It is beautiful. I probably harassed the installers a little bit with my conversation but we got along very well. I enjoyed them. I would recommend Bath Fitter to a friend. I like the lifetime guarantee and it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing everything.

    Although it has been a few years since I had Bath Fitter give me a quote, I feel inclined to write about my experience. They do not tell you in the advertisement that they do not install over fiberglass tubs. They wanted to rip out my entire bath/shower and install a brand new one for over $7,000. Also, because I would not commit on the day they came, they would not honor my coupon. Then, they hassled me by calling back 3 times and wanted to come again and give me another chance for them to say the same thing.

    I first saw Bath Fitter from an ad on television, and then I talked to an individual that was in the finance association that I belong to that they did work for him. After talking to him, I decided to have somebody come out and talk to us about redoing my mother's bathroom and make it easier for her to get in the shower and hoping it would be best that they didn't have a walk-in bathtub, that we figured with her chair, she'd be okay with the route that we took. And the fact that the corners weren't gonna be caulked and everything was gonna be seamless, we thought it'd be a better way to go.

    The salesman had his brochure and he talked to her and went over everything with her also and made suggestions. And everything was very professional with him. He gave us every discount that he could think of giving us and gave us some ideas of his, and then he also took some of our ideas and said, "Yeah, that should work too."

    The plumber got there exactly at exactly 7:00 like he said he was gonna be. He started doing the work and he said the other team would be in. I said, "Okay. I've gotta go to up to the restaurant and get a drink," because I gotta let things dry as far as the soldering before he did a lot of stuff in the basement. He said he'd probably be gone by the time I get back 'cause he had to do a little bit of running.

    The plumber was gone when I got back, but everything was ready to go. And the installer came for the vinyl with the wrapping to put in the tub. I said, "Where's your helper?" He said, "This is it." He started breaking up the tub and tearing it piece by piece. The plumber said he'd probably be there until 3:00 or 3:30, and he was finished by 1:30. He was very professional and it was a very good job.

    My mother is tickled to death. She's 85 years old now and she can't climb up into the tub like she used to be able to, which is a five-inch step. And she said, "I think I'm gonna be in seventh heaven." I even told my wife that if we can afford it, we're gonna look into it for her 'cause she has a form of leukemia and her bones and muscles aren't working real good especially after she gets the chemo shot. As soon as we think we can afford it, I'll be giving Bath Fitter another call.

    I liked Bath Fitter's warranty. I bought a tub and shower, and the quality is good. Everything was all good as long as you were purchasing. But after the purchase, they seemed cold.     We had the shower installed years ago by Bath Fitter and we decided this year to have a glass door put on. They've been excellent when we had the actual shower installed. It was always kind of a spring to the shower floor in our original shower, and normally, they just do it right over top of the existing shower. But when the technician came out and he felt that spring like we did, he recommended taking that out completely and having a whole new one. They also gave us an idea. I have two bars installed and I have a seat. The built-in seat would've taken up a lot of room in the shower. Because the shower was small and I said it looked like the seat was gonna be big, he said they could always put one that they bolt against the wall that we can fold up. It was same price either way. That really opens up the shower and I just put it down when I'm in the shower.

    One of the bolts fell out and apparently there was a problem with the hardware. They came right out and repaired it. They were aware of the defect, but it was after the fact. They didn't know it going into it. They've been very easy to work with and they're doing the best job. It might've cost us a little bit extra, but it was worth it in the long run. Bath Fitter quality is excellent. There's a display in the BJ's we go to and they always come up to us. I say, "I already have one. I love it and I recommend it to anybody."

    Every person I dealt with at Bath Fitter Utah was exceptional. I scheduled the consultation with Shelby (sp?) and she was very helpful. Tyson came to our house and spent over two hours talking to us, gave me the answers to all my questions, educated us on the shower install process and was even willing to breakdown the total estimate so I could see how he came up with the final number. I never felt like he was a salesman, but rather a friend. They were about three months out on installation but then were able to move the install up about three weeks. I wish we would have gotten a new shower 10 years ago (I noticed water under the base coming up through the drain about mid April).

    I received another estimate (just out of curiosity, I'd already committed to Bath Fitter) from a competitor shortly after meeting with Tyson and they were $3500 more and made promises that weren't feasible on the final product. A few days before the install, Stephanie (sp?) called to verify the appt. and go over the information I needed for when the installer arrived. Nathan got to our house right at 8am on July 1 and was ready to go. He worked nonstop from 8am and was done and gone by 3:30pm. He was so fast but thorough. I checked on the progress regularly to see how it was coming along and never once did he act like I was an inconvenience. He never cut corners, tore out EVERYTHING down to the studs and the final product is amazing. Both my husband and I could not be happier with the process and the gorgeous shower we have now.     We had a walk in shower installed to replace an old tub shower. The workman showed up on time and began working right away. He even had to repair something that had gone wrong with the drain pipe into the building. He wouldn't have had to do that, but it guaranteed the finished job would be correct.     We were familiar with Bath Fitter from my mother-in-law and saw some of the job that they did with her and so, we were thinking about going with them. We were a little surprised when we had a three-and-a-half-hour meeting when the sales rep came. He was long-winded but he did good. I bought a bathtub and we didn’t have any issue with anything that the installation team did. We had some stuff in the bathroom and some counters that he put in a box, and he kinda left that but he cleaned up everything else. We have an older bathroom and we didn't remodel the whole thing but we were thinking about eventually doing the floor. They said that we could call them up if we had the floor done, and they would reseal around the tub after the floor had been put in. I have used the tub only once but the rest of my family uses it more and I like it better than what we had, because we had a cracked tub that wasn't good.

    We were ready to do something in our bath and Bath Fitter was the first we called. I liked what I saw in the commercials and I read reviews. I had a good feeling about them, so we went with them. We got a new bathtub, surround, the shower head, and the Moen fixtures. We had a great experience with Bath Fitter. Their sales representative was very informative, not pushy, and answered all of our questions. I had a bunch of them. Then once we had the work done, it was very accurate with everything he said. So, we were very comfortable with him and he was very pleasant to work with.

    Everything went smoothly as well during the installation. I had to work at the time and my daughter had to be here for it but I kept calling to check up on how things were going. My daughter was there to answer any questions they had. It was on a Wednesday that the master plumber was here and on Thursday, the installer was here. By early Thursday afternoon, it was all installed. Everything was clean after they left and you couldn't tell that anybody was here. Also, I was always the one that had to do the caulking and I was so impressed with whoever did the installation of the tub, the surround, and the caulking. It looks so wonderful.

    During a very difficult financial time (toxic mold destroyed our home - had to go through remediation, getting rid of most of our belongings, renovating the entire house, etc...) we were at the mercy of contractors to quickly renovate our home, including the bathroom. Unfortunately, given our situation we did not have time to shop around and wait on numerous quotes and estimates. Because it was during a busy season as well, most contractors were not able to start for a few months, so we had to piece together different companies and contractors to do smaller jobs.

    After talking with the Bath Fitter salesman, we weren't impressed, but needed to move ahead quickly and decided to go with them using the Aqua Source financing. The salesman changed the price numerous times, told us we couldn't use our coupon that we had received in the mail because "that was only valid in a few states" (even though NOTHING was written on the coupon stating that), and told us that was the lowest price he could offer.

    It seems after reading multiple reviews from different sites, they absolutely will call back if you don't accept that first number, and offer you a lower price. It also seems based on the other prices I'm seeing for very similar projects, we were overcharged. I feel like this was done by a sleazy salesman who knew we were in a vulnerable financial situation. I'm not seeing other prices that come close to the $6200 we were charged for having a basic shower installed (one shower replaced, faucets, and one shelf for toiletries, removal of one, cheap, old shower insert that was already falling off). After all of this, nobody even came back to caulk/seal the shower like they said they would.

    It's unfortunate that the two men who did the actual install, measuring, etc... were nice and did a good job. I do not like the sleazy salesman approach that Bath Fitter use at all though, and will never be using this company again or recommending them to anybody. Although convenient and quicker than most local contractors, it's not worth the extra $3000-4000 we paid. We absolutely feel scammed and like they price gouged based on our unfortunate situation at the time.

    We had water trapped between the old tub and the new Bath Fitter tub. This is the second time this has happened in about 10 years. The first time, I called Bath Fitter and had a service technician come out the same day. He repaired the problem within 1 hour. The problem came back again. I called Bath Fitter again and had to make an appointment with a manager to come out and look at the problem before they would send out a repairman. This appointment took over a week.

    When the manager came, he said the repair would take at least 5 hours and would cost approximately $600. He said it was due to a crack in the caulking. The caulking cracked because the bathtub would shift due to the water between the tubs. If there wasn't water between the tubs, the caulking wouldn't have cracked. This exact same situation happened before and I had no problem having a serviceman come out and fix it for free as Bath Fitter is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. They must have changed their policy and now they do not honor their guarantee. I would not recommend going with Bath Fitter.

    I know the name Bath Fitter because it’s popular, and then I came to find out the people that live underneath me got Bath Fitter and they had it confirmed, that it worked out really well for them. So, I just went with it. They had a shower done. It was like fiberglass, so they had to remove the whole thing. It was just a plain wall and the lowest model we could possibly get.

    The sales guy was nice, but it’s just coincidence I ran into another Bath Fitter guy at the bar that I worked at and I could’ve got a better price and didn’t realize that he kinda got me a little bit on the shower doors. So, I didn’t appreciate that very much, but he’s like the son of the owner or something like that. But it’s what it is. He was nice enough though. I would just suggest to negotiate the prices for sure and make sure they’re telling the same prices.

    The guy that installed was great. There was no mess left behind. It was wonderful. But as far as the getting it installed, the ball was dropped with Bath Fitter somewhere. And that was only the frustrating part because I took a day off work and they were supposed to give my condo complex five days’ notice for the water shut off. I guess somebody went on vacation and didn’t relay the message so everybody was there and the water wasn’t shut off. So, I had to take another day off work later in the month. But overall it was a good experience. There was just a couple of hiccups, but it’s a huge job, so it’s kind of to be expected.

    The sales guy that I talked to made a lot of promises and explained how they were gonna keep them. And when the installers came out, it went exactly as he said. They were very professional and they cleaned everything up. We had a stand-up shower, and had it all replaced. We also got new fixtures. It turned out great. We love it.     We had the overlay of the tub from the walls, all the way up to the ceiling done by Bath Fitter. They removed all the tile that was put in back in the 70s, put in a new shower head and some type of valve that controls hot and cold water so when the toilet flushes, it won’t send a rush of cold water to the faucet. The person that did the installation was great. He was in-and-out in a matter of hours. Then the representative came by and went over the general aspect of the contract. We signed it, gave them a certified check for the deposit, and it was done. They did this about a month ago and the timeframe that it took the job was absolutely great. Plus, they said it was a certified lifetime warranty. They kept telling me that I could call them if I'd have issues and they would come back out. And I've had no issues, so far.

    I was working on remodeling an old double wide. All the fixtures were weird sizes and you couldn't just go and buy a 54-inch tub. We had Bath Fitter do the tub with the liner a month ago. It's way too expensive and not everybody can pull that kind of cash out for a tub. But our experience with them was awesome. Their reps were fine and the installer did a good job. I opened the door up to let him in, and I went to work. It was fast.

    I'm getting older. And I wanted to get rid of the bath tub because I didn't wanna have to stop over a tub. So I had Bath Fitter put in a full shower. I've had it for three months now. Everyone, from the people at the home show, right down to the installer and its cleanup, were wonderful. The installation took two days. It was a cast iron tub and it took a while to get it out. But Bath Fitter told me about that upfront. Overall, they did great.

    We went to the home show in Manitowoc and talked to someone. I liked that the Bath Fitter walk-in shower was a one-piece unit that was gonna be going in. I also liked their warranty afterwards which goes to the next person who buys the house. Also, they were gonna come back and do the work for us if something goes wrong. The sales rep was very nice, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He showed us what was going on and what we should expect. I was very happy with him. We purchased the walk-in shower and I was very happy with their time frame. They called us back within a week and then we only had to wait two to three weeks out before they came and installed it. Ralph came to install it and the plumber came in and cleaned everything up and finished the work. Everything was done and we're very happy with them.
