I purchased a home approx. 2 years ago and the seller had recently had Bath Fitter come in and install a new bath in the home. I rented the home to a nice couple and everything was going well. I received a call from them and they explained that the tub caulking had broken down and water was seeping into the old tub. We contacted Bath Fitter and to my surprise they said there was no warranty! They then informed me that it would cost $450.00 to remove the tub and empty the water from the old tub and re-install the tub! The fact is if the caulking was done properly it should have lasted a lot longer than just 2 years! I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Hi Robert, we can appreciate your frustration. According to our team, the cause of the leak was a silicone issue however this silicone job was not completed by Bath Fitter. We understand our branch had been able to resolve this issue. Should you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you.

The sales rep I worked with at Bath Fitter was very friendly and informative. He was also easy to get a hold of. I had them replace the surround thing in the tub and in the shower head. The plumber came about 7:30, and the other guy came about 9:00 and he was gone by 4:00. Bath Fitter was very good. My bathroom is very nice now and I like it.

A gentleman from Bath Fitter came down and he majored in everything and shot me a price. Then, I invited the installation crew into my home and showed them where I wanted the shower. They went in and out and cleaned up their mess when they were done. They were nice and polite. They did what they were supposed to do and I am happy with the finished product. They put in one shower in the bathroom but they did not have the stuff to finish the other bathroom. There were some bad pipes so they made arrangements to come back a second time.
They had to beat the bathtub up because it was cast iron. They packed it out and redid the floor where the bathtub sat. It took them about five hours and the job was well done. When they finished, it is a bathtub-sized shower and it is awesome. We also got one grab bar that was the bigger ones and we went with a curtain as they were not able to put sliding doors to where it was situated. Bath Fitter was a little on the expensive side at $11,000 but we like them. They are efficient and are really grandly. They are nice, big and it is a little more than we expected.

I notified Bath Fitter out at the mall and they called me, then we set up an appointment. I thought that going with them would be a good way to go because it was all gonna be guaranteed for life and it was all sealed. Their sales representative explained everything really well to be able to tune exactly where we were coming from. The guys that came out to do the install were on time and cleaned up very well afterward. The finished product is beautiful. Bath Fitter has been the fastest ones so far. I just wish they did more than just the bathtub and showers I wish they expanded to do more things because the quality of the work they put in was excellent.

A friend of mine recommended Bath Fitter and that was why I went with them. The sales rep we dealt with was very good. He explained everything and answered the questions we asked. Then two weeks ago, Bath Fitter did the installation and they did a great job. The plumber came on the first day and all that took a couple hours. Then the installer came and it took about six and a half hours. And so far, the quality is good.

I had the tub surround with the walls installed with Bath Fitter and their salesman was terrible. He needed to get his game together. He didn't do anything that he set about, so they had to have somebody else step in. The installers told me that they were gonna do one thing, but whenever the guy showed up to do it, he left because what I was told and what was on the work order were two different things, and he wasn’t gonna do something that wasn’t right. So, the manager of the installer was the one that took care of it. When the guys came out the second time to do the install, it went fine.
Hi Scott, thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that ultimately our branch was able to install your bathtub to your satisfaction. Thank you for your review.

They do not stand by their lifetime warranty. Shower head was leaking, they made me call Delta. Then they wanted $75.00 to put in. We paid almost 4000.00 for this. $500 was for shower head, we were told at time of purchase that we would not be covered if we used our shower head. Money down the drain with Bath Fitter.
Hi Joan, we apologize for your frustrations. Our warranty covers all our acrylic products, the Delta shower heads are covered by their own manufacturer's warranty. We would be happy to do the work at a cost should you reconsider. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance. Thank you.

The consultant told me I should expect 2 teams, one for each bathroom. He said they should complete the tubs and shower walls in about 6 hours. He said it’ll be sealed up so nothing could breathe under the wall and create mold. I was told they would clean up before they left. All false promises! I had 2 people, one for each room. They arrived close to 9 am and the first bathroom was done by around 5:45. The other man left at 8:45 pm with an unfinished room. As a single mother of 2 girls, I had to finally tell him he had 15 minutes before he had to leave. His reply was that the other man didn’t leave the Teflon tape so he couldn’t finish the job anyway. He gathered garbage and the supplies to finish the job (my shower head and soap dish), apologized, and left.
I inspected the showers and tubs and was utterly disappointed. The caulking was sloppy and even missing for both rooms. There is a finger-width gap between the installed shower wall and my bathroom wall in bathroom “completed” early. No caulking along either top seams where the shower meets the wall or the border meets the installed shower wall in the first bathroom. They are not sealed and will allow mold to live. The showers were not wiped and the inexperienced guy left behind a large white board and a screw on the floor besides the dust. The faucets aren’t touching the walls or caulked.
The unfinished bathroom’s overflow is too high, not placed right, and there is a black chip/scratch/damage from when it was installed wrong. I took pictures, left comments on the website, and even called while the guy was still here at 8:30 pm and was told to call back in the morning to complain. I expected a much better product and service for close to $10K.

In early December we had Bath Fitter in to replace a tub with a walk-in shower and have been very pleased with the results. Chino worked quickly and efficiently and seemed ready to cope with any and all inconveniences that might have arisen. All floors and stairs were covered as much as possible and his after work cleanup was much appreciated. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
The only downside to our experience with your company was regarding the unfortunate interaction and lack of cooperation with the office staff who refused to return our phone calls or even take calls from us during several delays leading up to the installation. Our thanks go also to Mr. ** who did pay attention to our situation and informed us (as much as he could) prior to the installation. Again kudos to Chino and congratulations to Bath Fitter for the quality of their workforce. Sorry Chino if your name is misspelled in this.

I went through the process of having someone come out to my home. The paperwork was completed and my appointment was set up. One gentleman came out and left because of the (rain) weather. I do not understand why the company does not have equipment or supplies for this situation. When trying to contact the sales gentleman and the "general manager ", I received no responses. But I guess that's how business is done when the company has received the money. Does one only schedule appointments on sunny days. The gentleman who came out did not seem to want to talk about prices until the end in which I was presented with the grand total. I would not and could not recommend this company. My first impression and first experience is the company is very unprofessional. My only option with the star rating is 1 star which is highly rated.

Was told materials are covered but there would be a $75 service charge. Really? The only thing I see in the warranty states there is a minimum $75 service charge if silicone becomes yellow due to smoking/negligence of cleaning or misuse.

I took Bath Fitter's bid and acted on it. Their reps treated me well and all was exceptional. Also, the crew that did the installation was very good. They put in a small, individual, personal shower. Their work is good, but the materials are not as high quality as what I picked out. The whole thing was a little bit overpriced, but I wanted it done, so I bit that apple. They did what they said they would do. People can count on good service from Bath Fitter but they might need to negotiate the price more.

Let me preface this review by saying that we were prior very satisfied Bath Fitter customers (so this is how they treat returning customers). On Jan. 11, 2019, Sales Consultant Mandy ** attended our home for a free home consultation. After a few hours she left our home having provided an "estimate" for either a tub or shower package and after taking an $1,800 good faith deposit. On Jan. 30, 2019, we notified the company that we would not be consummating the purchase "at this time", not never. That same day, Ms. ** advised us that we would be forfeiting our deposit since 19 days had elapsed.
NOTE: that the estimate states in bold "ESTIMATE IS VAID FOR 30 DAYS". Also noted is a reference to the reverse side for "Buyer's Right to Cancel" which states that the customer has 10 days to cancel after receiving the copy of the contract. The issue at bar is whether an estimate (that is valid for 30 days) is actually a purchase contract.
Ms. ** no fewer than 3 times assured both my wife and I that our deposit was fully refundable. She was also very aware that consummation of the contract was entirely dependent on the cost for floor renos/repairs funded through a settlement from an insurance claim. If there was any excess then we would likely go forward with the bathroom installation -- if not, then we would not be as we had suffered several catastrophic events in Nov/Dec (both main floor toilets backing up -- hence the floors repairs, and our furnace died while we were in hotel for the emergency remediation going on in the house). This was all clearly shared with Ms. ** who assured us that we had no obligation to execute on this "Estimate". In fact, she also noted on the Estimate that they would be booking 8-10 weeks out allowing for the bathroom floor repairs to be concluded. Finally, we were not even approved for financing at this point either.
YET, WE SOMEHOW ENTERED INTO A FINAL PURCHASE & SALE AGREEMENT (to which we have not received a final copy... Well, because we didn't finalize the purchase -- i.e. bath or shower, go or no go?) Now, I have received a voicemail from the VP of the company asking me to call him back so that we can resolve whatever differences that we have. I have not yet done so as I have been perfectly clear in two emails that I've sent that we want our $1,800 good faith deposit back!!! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Service Alberta, and I have prepared a Statement of Claim to serve on the company. Folks, times must be so tough in Alberta that this is how Bath Fitter has chosen to treat returning customers (by stealing their deposit). It's shameful and it's illegal.

We had two companies come out and give us an estimate and we were happy with Bath Fitter's presentation. They gave us what we wanted to hear. Their price was more expensive than the other place but they explained everything to us and were very thorough, like if there could be mold back there. We wanted a seat in the shower. The other company said that they would save us money and that we don’t need that seat, but I didn't want that. I wanted a good quality job and feel more reassured. Also, the Bath Fitter plumber went down the basement and checked. The other company didn’t check anything.
We got a shower but no tub. It's round with a thing in it. It works good and it doesn’t leak. There are shelves in there and we put in a grab bar. The person who installed the shower was excellent. It was snowing that time and I called up Bath Fitter's office to ask if the installer would come 'cause it was miserable. The lady told me not to worry about him as he'd come at 8 o’clock. At 8 o’clock, he was in my house already doing the work. He took out our tub ‘cause we didn’t it anymore and he sealed it all up. It’s what we wanted so we were happy. If I need any work done, I would hire him. He worked all day plus we talked all day. I’m a big Green Bay Packers fan and so was he so we got along just excellently.

Bath Fitter did a remodel on our tub/shower surround 4 years ago. About 2 years in, we felt water "squishing" in between the tub and the liner. We called the local branch who did the install, and they came out right away and fixed the problem by removing the drain, forcing the water out and resealing the drain. I was very impressed with how quick and courteous they were in dealing with the issue.
The exact same issue has started again recently and when we contacted the company this time, they said it is not covered under their warranty and that it will cost approximately $500 to fix. Bath Fitter claims that the "lifetime warranty" only covers cracking or damage to the liners, not installation. We are very disappointed that this is the solution that they have offered us. With this in mind, there is no way we could ever recommend someone use their service.
Hi Brandon, we apologize for your frustrations. Our warranty covers all our acrylic products however there is a service charge for the labor. We would be happy to do the work should you reconsider. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance. Thank you.

A friend of mine had something done by Bath Fitter and he was very pleased. I called and they made an appointment. They showed up on time, was very pleasant, and helpful. They were also very competent. Then they set up the appointment for the installation. The installer's professionalism and quality of work were excellent. Apparently, this is a one-person job. But someone was free, so both of them came and did it much faster. It was incredible. There was an upstairs unit, and they had to haul everything up and down the stairs. They put everything in garbage bags. It was so clean, I couldn’t believe they could have done it like that, but they did. We were very pleased with that.
However, I had one little problem with the mixer. Where water was supposed to be hot, it was cold and vice-versa. I was just living with it because I knew hot was cold and cold was hot. But someone called me from their customer relations to see how everything was so I mentioned it. We set up an appointment and they came. They fixed it quickly. It's still not perfect, but it's okay. There are also a few things that I might have done differently. I'm not totally thrilled with the shower itself and I should have made some other choices. Still, I had a very good experience with Bath Fitter.

Gary, the sales consultant from Bath Fitter who came down told me that their company was the right one for me with the way he presented himself and what he said. He told me what they had to offer and what they could do to our bathroom. We went with them and the installation went pretty well. They were at my place pretty early and got to it. They were here almost until 6:30 at night because they had to do a bit more than they normally would have to do as my tile was in bad shape and I had a window that had to be covered up. Still, the installer closed the bathroom door to keep out any noise or dirt. They wiped the tiles, vacuumed and took everything with them. They did a very professional job.
They put up the surround, new fixtures and a new bath over my old one in my bathroom. The new batch has a built-in, skid-resistant floor and it's kinda curved. That made the showerhead a little higher whereas my old one was a little bit too low. I also like that what they did is maintenance free. I don't have to worry about keeping it too clean as long as I keep it up. It makes my bathroom look so much better. I was very satisfied with the product and service of Bath Fitter.

With the installation gentleman, there were some difficulties encountered with things that were not visible, so he wouldn't necessarily know about it during the installation. We had a salesman out and he talked to us about it. The interaction we had with the salesman was absolutely wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the product and he was willing to work with us on pretty much about every aspect of everything. He left with, “If you need absolutely anything at all, please don't hesitate to call me and I'll be more than happy to work with you or answer any questions that you have.” We liked the deal, so we went with them.
In January of last year, they had my wife's bathroom completely done. They had to tear hers out from scratch and got hers all fixed up. Then, in December when they did mine, they went over the existing tub and so far, both of the bathrooms have turned out wonderful, although hers had a couple minor issues. I hired them and they replaced the tub and shower in the bathroom.
My sales rep was a great guy and he explained everything well. I used to be in sales, so I do my research and I make my decision. If I like the product, then I go ahead and buy it. We had our tub and shower liner installed about 4 years ago. We were very happy with the installation and appearance. However, we have experienced a problem keeping the tub clean. I use only the approved products on the list supplied at the time of installation. I dry and shine the tub with a soft cloth after every use. First, we noticed a blue stain around the drain area. A service representative came to our home and removed it with isopropyl alcohol. We were told the stain was caused by dye in shampoo or soap. Since that time, we have not used anything coloured products for cleaning. We are now noticing a ring around the tub just at the water level. Bath Fitter in Winnipeg suggested a 50% solution of either bleach or ammonia. Neither of these have solved the problem. Bath Fitter require a $100.00 service call fee to look at it. This was not specified in the lifetime warranty.

We made a trip to Green Bay and we happened to see Bath Fitter at a mall where they were demonstrating. I liked the idea. I had a nice deep tub and I wanted to keep it that way. The sales rep did a beautiful job. He explained everything to me. My wife and I were both satisfied. The installation was fine and it was done in a day. Although the smell was bad for a while, that wasn't too bad. So far, I love the way everything fits. Everybody that had seen it loved it too. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m 87 years old now, so I ain’t gonna enjoy it too much anymore. But I wish I would’ve done it many, many years ago. I would recommend it.

Recently had Bath Fitter come as I asked for a drain repair. Usually all they want to do is re-silicone despite the leaks probably causing mold behind all of this. However, a contractor thought it must be a drain problem but did not want to touch a Bath Fitter tub. Well the Bath Fitter guy saw nothing really. Said leaks were from my using a plunger and just get the drain cleaned. Had a drain guy come and he found the story of the plunger causing leaking to my ceiling below strange at best. He took a further look and found lo and behold the overflow cover put on by Bath Fitter had covered a dial incorrectly and that the overflow washer had cracked. So explain why the Bath Fitter people could not see this?
Hi Ellen, we spoke with our brand and according to their inspection, they found no leaks coming from the drain and the seal around the bathtub was sound. If there is anything more we can do for you do not hesitate to reach out! Thank you.

Our large shower was difficult to clean because it was all tile and grout and the grout was getting bad and leaky. We had a Bath Fitter rep come out. We looked over and talk about it. He gave me a price, which I think was high, but we were interested in what we saw, so I accepted his price. They told us that the installation would take a day and a half but it didn’t. It was a day and a half for the part that Bath Fitter did but there was a glass wall on one side and that took a week. I have been using the shower for a week and I see the value in having another towel bar inside. Also, the floor is slippery but Bed & Bath had a special shower mat that drains very well and that solved the slipping problem.

Bath Fitter was a quick option for an old, peeing tub. No refinishing or dust/chemicals so I did it. The guy finished in 1 day, looked very nice. They drop a new tub right over your old one and seal it. The overlay is a sort of rubbery acrylic material... Nothing like porcelain. Big problem: They didn't seal it. 6-12 mos. later I'd step in the tub/shower and could feel and hear water squishing under my feet between the new Bath Fitter tub and the old one under it. Sort of like when you stand on one of those slip-proof mats in a watery tub. I thought gross... How much mold and mildew are growing in between the new tub on top and the old one underneath? At that time I was too busy and overwhelmed with "life stuff" to call Bath Fitter and haggle, or complain and get them to come back out. I just dealt with it, then sold the house 2 years later. Perhaps a "too good to be true" option I won't go with again.
Hi Madison, it is possible that some of the silicone had given way, allowing water to leak underneath the tub liner. We would have been happy to have scheduled a service call to address this issue if given the opportunity.

Updated on 01/24/2019: Paid over $8,500 for a step-in shower install with old tub removal. Workers left a mess after install and I had to have them back because the fittings were leaking. Time will tell if the quality of work and product holds up and if the outrageous price was worth it. UPDATE: I found an overcharge mistake on my Bath Fitter billing invoice and reported it to their customer service rep. William. I asked for the Manager "Orlando" to please call me back, but he never calls. Someone representing Bath Fitter finally calls today and said that they didn't make a mistake on their invoice calculations and they owe me nothing. Wow, try using a calculator!
Here's my Bath Fitter invoice below, you add it up. The subtotal they charged me for of $8,097.00 is WRONG! Add up the unit prices from my bill below (it's a copy and paste from the actual document). It actually adds up to $8,067.00. An overcharge in their favour of $30.00. Plus add a 5% GST overcharge of $1.50. Bath Fitter owes me a refund of $31.50. Pretty simple right?, WRONG!
Was told today by a Bath Fitter rep., "No we've added it up many times and our billing is correct." Seriously?! What the hell, do I have to take this to Court to get my money? Just give me my $31.50 and it's done. Thanks for making me smile today Bath Fitter! (If you aren't aware, I'm referring to the phrase they use when answering the phone, "how can I make you smile today?") ...Not likely, considering the way you treat your customers.

Original Review: $8,500.00 for an install of a step-in shower and old tub removal! Installers left a mess after install, fittings were leaking and they "goofed" on their invoice and "accidentally" overcharged me. I had to bring it to their attention for refund. Plus, they added significant charges for things that I didn't even receive. Beware of this company, very dishonest, very expensive for what you get, and customer service is terrible (Heads up William).

I’d been knowing about Bath Fitter for a while. One of my close friends had used Bath Fitter, and it was years ago. And when I ran into problems with my bathroom, I thought about them. Their rep was very nice and handled it very well. He came in, sat down and gave me all my options. Everything was done very quickly and very professionally. I called them in the early part of the month and we sat down and made a decision. Then they gave me a date when they were coming out and everything was finished. In a month’s time, everything was done.
They did the wall in the shower. They did over the wall, covered that over, and gave me new fixtures in the shower, shower head, and handle. I had a leak going through the grout on the wall and they did that too. It’s been about six months now and everything's been nice and holding up very well. Others should give them a try and have them to come in. And they probably will meet everything that they probably would want in a bathroom. If they wanted the whole bathroom remodeled, or just a shower, or the shower and the tub, Bath Fitter could cover everything.

Bath Fitter installed my tub. I like their pricing. I was able to save $100. The sales rep was good and friendly. His knowledge for the Bath Fitter product was good. The installer was also fine. But on one side, we had the molding on the floor and I told him I want to rip that molding off. It would have taken two seconds for me to do it. But then, he sat there and actually trims around the molding on the floor. So now, if I have to change the molding, which I would like to do, I can’t due to what he did. The molding went to the tub. I just looked to see if he's gonna rip it out. He said I should not worry about it and then he cut around the molding besides the floor and caulked it in. The board comes in there on the molding going around the floorboard. And instead, he just left that in there. He just left that baseboard in there and I'd have to fix it myself.

Short Version: 1. Quoted a fast turnaround for the project. Now, 4+ weeks later, and still waiting. We were quoted that our project would be started and completed on 12/14/18 - and if there was a delay, the project would be completed on or around 12/28/18. Today is 1/16/19 and we are being told our project will not be done until MAYBE the last week of January (7 weeks after the original estimate), but no official date has even been communicated with us.
2. Spout leaks, water pressure diminished, water faucet only turns in a half circle and then shuts off, no hot water. Our old tub: The hot water worked, spout did not leak, and the water faucet turned all the way in a circle to get the hot/cold water. Our new tub: Has been installed and now the spout leaks, the water faucet does not turn all the way as it once did..it turns in a half circle and then shuts the water off, the water pressure has diminished, and the hot water does not work.
3. We are paying interest on a product we can't even use. We are being treated very rudely. Now that our local Bath Fitter has our security deposit, and cash in the bank, it appears that all that was promised does not matter. I called our local office about our concerns, but they were quickly diminished and not taken care of.
I was rudely spoken to on the phone saying that 'technically, my family can still use the tub.' - (Who is going to take a cold water bath?) The local Bath Fitter office manager said since we can technically still use the tub, they've fulfilled their duties, and we're still responsible for interest on the product (that we can't use), and she'll have a technician take a look at it (in 3+ weeks)... But she suggests that we purchase a new valve from them, and can give us a small discount off it. No one has been to our house to evaluate what is wrong - how can you sell a valve if you don’t even know if that’s the issue?
--- Long Version: A sales representative from Bath Fitter, Claudine, came to our home on 11/21/18 to give us an estimate on a tub we needed replaced. She took measurements of our tub, and the shower doors. Our tub that needed replacing, had shower doors next to it - one of the walls sat on the edge of the tub. We were told in order to have a Bath Fitter tub installed, we would need to have new shower doors put in also. She mentioned the entire project (tub and shower doors) would likely be done all in one day, on 12/14/18. She said sometimes there was a delay in the shower doors, but it was unlikely for that to be the case. And she took the measurements of the tub and shower doors, and had them sent over to the local-home office so they would be ready for installation day.
We were quoted over $6,000 for the project which seemed high since we had received lesser quotes from local contractors, and other local repair places such as Home Depot. Some of the other contractors even said they would be able to put our old shower doors back on to save cost. We wanted to get the oil-rubbed bronze hardware to match our existing bronze finishes throughout the bathroom, but were told it would be $4,000+ extra just to have the color we wanted. We decided just to go with the standard chrome 'drain kit,' and kept our original fixtures.
We ended up signing up with Bath Fitter for the following reasons: 1. Word of Mouth: We had heard their reputation of being such a great company. 2. Quality of Product: The quality of products was said to be superior to other brands. 3. Time: We were quoted that the project would be done all on the same day, & if there was a delay it would be 2 weeks. 4. Safety/Peace of Mind: Our sales rep initially made us feel comfortable, and said if we had any issues or concerns we could always contact her. She talked about the lifetime warranty of the product, which was very important to us. She said the price quoted is the price we would pay, and there wouldn't be other bills.
A few days later we missed a call from our sales rep. She left a message saying that the contractor looked over the measurements, and would need to build a small pony wall, but not to worry we would not be charged. A few days later, I answered a call from our sales rep, and she said that we needed to sign papers for the authorization of a $150 charge to build the pony wall. I mentioned that our original discussion on pricing was that we wouldn't need to purchase anything else. She said I'd have to talk with the manager. I then listened to the previous phone message saying that we wouldn't have to worry about the extra charges. I left her a message asking why we were told not to worry about it, but now are being charged for it. I was later emailed a bill for $0 for the pony wall. It was nice of them not to charge us, but very confusing as to why we were told two conflicting things by the same person.
Glenn came and installed our tub on Friday, 12/14/18. He took measurements for the shower doors, and submitted them that day. This set up a red flag to us - since our sales-rep took the measurements twice back in November, and assured us that if there was a delay, it would only be 2 weeks. All of this has led us to question the following: 1. Why so many measurements? 2. Why such an extended delay with no explanation as to why? 3. The validity of the Bath Fitter product(s) we received and 4. Wanting to sell us items, when no one examined the cause of the issue.
Glenn said we should wait a few days before using the tub, to let everything dry/settle. He said he noticed that when putting our spout back on, that it now leaks. He said it would only leak onto the acrylic tub, and not behind the wall so it should be safe to use. He said he would see what he could do to fix that when he came back. We decided just to wait to use the tub at all until he came back. He mentioned it would be a week or two until the doors were ready, and he would provide an update on when he would come back to install them. This Friday will be five weeks since our anticipated install date. I've text and called Glenn numerous times in the past few weeks, to see what his anticipated date to be back would be, with no answer. I’ve written an email of our concerns to our sales rep, also with no response.
Since we had been waiting weeks at this point, with no idea or time in sight of when he would be back to put the shower doors on - I decided to use the tub one night, after-all Glenn mentioned it would just leak on the acrylic tub. I turned the nozzle, and saw that it now only turned in a semi-circle, with both ends turning the water off. I noticed the water pressure was extremely diminished, and there was no hot water. I ran it for 15 minutes to try and get hot water, but still no hot water came out.
I called our local Bath Fitter office the next morning, on 1/7/19. While on the phone with the local Bath Fitter office manager, Brenda, I expressed my concerns of: 1. Our sales rep and technician not responding to any of my calls or texts. She told me there must have been a ‘miscommunication,’ and if I have any issues or concerns, I am not supposed to call my sales rep or the technician, and instead direct all of my concerns to the 1-800 number for Bath Fitter. (Which seems really strange, since I was told by both the sales rep and the technician I could call/text with any questions or concerns.
Who calls the 1-800 number, when they already have an established contract with the company, and associates?) If Claudine or Glenn had responded to me by saying 'we're sorry we're not allowed/authorized to speak with customers,' I would have known to contact someone else. She also said it may take 3+ more weeks, and another 5 additional days before our technician could come back to finish the project.
2. The tub not being functional due to the leaking spout, faucet turning in a half circle, diminished water pressure, and no hot water. I know that Brenda is the messenger, and she's not the one who promised us a certain time, or even the one who installed our product. Still I needed to express what was happening to someone who could help.
Her response was ‘this is the first we have heard of the problem.’ She could have the tech come and take a look at it whenever he comes to put the shower doors on. (In 3+ weeks.) She said she suggests we buy a new valve, and they could give a small discount to us off of the valve. How does she know that is the problem, when no one has even come to look at it? Why wasn’t this tested before our tech left our home the day of install? Our valve and hot water worked just fine before.
3. Paying interest on a product we can’t even use. Her response was ‘technically we can still use our tub,’ so their duties had been fulfilled. They can not do anything about us paying on interest, since they gave us a tub. I said ‘We can not use the tub, because it does not produce hot water. Who is going to take a cold water bath?’ No answer to that, just more ‘sorry, there’s nothing we can do.’
We are very dissatisfied with the service, the insulting responses we have received when trying to resolve these issues. We expected truth, honesty, respect, communication, a great product, done in a timely manner. Those four reasons I listed previously, for the reason we chose Bath Fitter over all of the other companies who wanted our business - none of those qualities were met in our experience. This is NOT what we expected by using such a ‘reputable’ company - Bath Fitter, we expected much better service, quality, and treatment.
Update: 2/21/2019
Short Version:
Over two months later we still do not have a working tub. Bath Fitter promised they would take good care of us, and ease all of our concerns, and make sure the job was done right.
The previous homeowners sold us the home by covering up a crack in our tub. We did not know of the crack until we took a bath, and the crack was revealed. It ended up flooding our laundry room, the floor below the tub. We had our insurance adjuster and licensed plumbers come in to inspect the pipes - everything was working properly, our hot water was working, the water pressure was great. The issue was a crack in the tub - so we called BathFitter to replace our tub.
Bath Fitter ensured us that all would be taken care of. They would replace the tub and make sure everything was working. They had a very convincing sales representative that made us feel safe and heard with our concerns.
That all quickly changed as soon as we gave them our money. Concerns of promptness, communication, or even making sure that our tub worked was quickly thrown out the window. Emails and calls ignored.
When I told our local Bath Fitter office that the hot water now suddenly is not working after the Bath Fitter install, I was told that they had delivered on their end, and that "the tub was installed as promised, and technically I could still use the tub". Installed to me means being able to take a hot/warm bath rather than a cold bath that was inferred.
We feel insulted, taken advantage of, and just outright disappointed and frustrated with this whole ordeal.
Long Version:
Our Bath Fitter installer finally came to complete our install on 2/6/19. Almost 8 weeks from our original date we were quoted. We now have our tub and shower doors, but our hot water still is not working in our tub. There was nothing wrong with our hot water before this install, we had an insurance adjustor and licensed plumbers verify that everything was working correctly before Bath Fitter installed our tub.
Our bath fitter installer installed our tub on 12/14/18. Bath Fitter knew that after this install the hot water was now not working, and the valve didn't turn like it previously did, etc. They couldn't get our technician back to check on it until 2/6/19. Brenda told me they could offer us a discounted valve, of $150. I told her I wanted to wait and have someone see if that was actually the issue before purchasing a new valve. I thought it seemed strange to buy a valve right away when no one had been by to even look to see if that was the issue - I wanted to have the technician inspect it before we agreed to pay another $150 for something. I did not refuse to buy the valve, I only wanted someone to come and look at it to ensure this was really the problem.
We also thought it seemed high for just a valve, so we were wondering what was going on. Later I find out that the valve actually included three pieces? This was never explained or relayed to us. We would have clearly gone with this option had we known there really was a problem with our valve.
Over two months later on 2/6/19, our Bath Fitter installer finally checked the valve and said it might be that the valve needs to be replaced or cleaned, or needed a cartridge. He was not sure, but he said maybe it was either or. This did not make us feel very confident, as we do not want to experience another flooded room as we did from the cracked bathtub - Bath Fitter was well aware of this major concern of ours - and we feel they're doing nothing to ensure our confidence, that we won't experience the horror that we did have. He left saying we'd have to call the office for him to come back and fix it. I called our local Bath Fitter office. I was told: "As for the offer of the new valve, that offer is no longer available since you chose the free of charge tub spout, but you are more than welcomed to purchase a new one at retail price with a 10% discount."
The valve - we were not aware that we were choosing between a spout and the deal they offered. At no point did anyone tell us we had to choose either or. Our installer, Glenn, said the spout was leaking, and he'd just switch it out for a new one since ours was not leaking before.
I've expressed my concerns multiple times to our local Bath Fitter office - they do not seem to care at all. We feel this is extremely rude. The last email that I sent a week ago still has not been responded to. They have their money for the product, and could care less about the customer service portion.
When Glen was finished with the install, I signed paperwork to sign off on the completed job. The other owner of our home did not sign/was not in the room. Brenda from the office called immediately the next morning asking us to send over the signed form within the hour. I did not see the email until two days later, as I was very busy at work and didn't get to my personal emails in time. Bath Fitter sent someone personally over to get the signature within 24 hours of the email I received.
If only they were so prompt at other things, like caring for their clients - making sure the job was completed correctly and on time.
---------------------------
Closing:
We are so frustrated with all of this. We feel as though Bath Fitter only cares about getting their paycheck and not actually delivering a quality product or kind and caring service. We paid over six thousand dollars to your company - and still can not use our bathtub. What was supposed to be a one day job turned into two+ months and an unworking product.
We are paying customers who spent a lot of money with this company. We should be treated with respect. All we are wanting, all we have ever wanted from Bath Fitter was for them to provide the product we purchased, in working order, in a timely manner, with caring service.
(To add insult to injury - they are now saying that the valve would cost us almost $500, and that the $150 offer was off the table - not letting us know there was some kind of time limit - and even now, they have not presented us with an expert analysis on the reasoning for our hot water no longer working!)

The installers were very efficient. They came on December 10th and finished it on the same day. It was a cold day and I was worried about how they were going to pull this off. I felt bad for them since they were outside doing the measurements. Then, they brought it in the house and put it together. People see it and they want it so that's one thing to have. I have recommended Bath Fitter to two people

Had Bath Fitter install in 2003 and have been told several times I don't have a lifetime guarantee either. The original product was pleasing (although the install took 2-3 days to correct the mistakes). Started seeing water under the liner after about 3 years and STILL have that problem along with some cracks and small holes. I had Bath Fitter come out in 2018 and the technician was 2 1/2 hours late without calling and he was totally wrong in his cursory assessment! It turned out I had a plumbing problem behind the wall that was my responsibility. I called his supervisor about his poor performance. Anyway, the shower enclosure is still good and leak proof but have no idea how to get a replacement tub. Very disappointed!

We had an associate from Bath Fitter to come out in Aug. 2018 to give estimate. In Oct. 2018, tub was finally installed. They called saying "wrong tub" had been ordered but would put in a "better tub" at no additional charge. The tub installed was not a "better tub" and no one told me that until it had already been installed. After talking with "management" in Nov. 2018, it was agreed we would receive a 750.00 discount and this was supposedly to be sent directly to us. The process would take up to 2-3 weeks. I have called and was told "corporate" in Canada had been contacted and that if we have not received the check in "2 weeks" to contact them again. VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE WHOLE PROCESS! MY HUSBAND WANTS TO TELL THEM JUST TO COME BACK AND GET THE TUB.

It would’ve cost me over 10.000 dollars. Call Bath Fitter next day. Salesman Larry came over the house and sat down with me and wife. He was very helpful. We saw what we like. Waited 5 weeks. Installed yesterday. The installer was John. Very very well skilled. Unbelievable what he did. Made my bathroom beautiful. He cleaned the mess, explain how to clean it, what to use and not to use on the walls. In the long run I save a lot of money and looks great? Thanks Bath Fitter.

Originally installed in 2014 which at that time it was a franchise business. Work took longer than expected and quality of work was sub-standard in my opinion. The person that had the franchise had too many excuses for length of time it took to complete the job, job parts and the quality of the work. I started having some problems with flooring, caulking and door parts. I called Bath Fitter to see if something could be done to repair the items I thought were bad.
Long story short, Bath Fitter which is a company store now, came out, looked over my concerns and scheduled a time to fix problems. My shower looks great now, quality of work is very high and I will recommend this company and their product. A major difference between original install, the franchise operation, and the repairs done to correct the problems under the company store, difference between night and day. Thanks Robert for your quality of work and thanks Bath Fitter for backing your product and service.

I ordered a tub. I received the wrong tub. The salesman said the tub installed was the one I ordered. I examined the contract. I had chosen the Quartz tub from the pictures on the website. It was hard to read the salesman's handwriting. But it was clear that the first 2 characters were QU. There were only 6 models to choose from. Quartz was the only model beginning with QU. The salesman said Model on the contract meant size of the old model they were removing, not the new model I was buying. I asked why I needed to sign off on the old model they were removing. They had no good reply for that. They said there was a 1 character code on the order form indicating what model I bought. That wasn't explained to me. They said they could replace the installed wrong model with the one I wanted for an extra $1000. I was furious and asked to talk to a manager.
After some discussion he agreed they would replace the wrong tub at no cost. I waited a month. They came with another wrong tub. Luckily we caught it before the install. I waited another month. They came again with another wrong tub. I gave up and kept the wrong tub they first installed. They refunded me some $. Not as much as I hoped. I should also say during the install one of the workers swore the F word at the top of his lungs since his coworker didn't hear him yell turn off the water main, and water overflowed the tub, and ran across the floor, and went down the heat duct into my house heater. My wife was in the next room, and clearly heard it. Plus, many cigarette butts were left on the driveway. We don't smoke. I will never buy anything from Bath Fitter again. It was the worst experience I ever had with a contractor. I have used many in the 38 years I have owned homes.

That was the main thing in my choosing them for my bathroom remodeling. The salesman was very knowledgeable and everything went very smoothly. I got the payment planned and put the $2,000 down payment. The payments are coming out now and I have the same as cash payment. One man came out for the installation. I saw Bath Fitter on a TV advertisement, and I’ve heard some good things and read reviews. We wanted to replace our tub with a shower so we did it. The sales rep was fine, personable and very informative. We got a walk-in shower last summer and I liked the shower head. It’s aesthetically pretty for what it is and it might be a little different but it was just like what we had before. We had grab bars put in as well. One guy did the installation and it only took him a day and a half. We were pleased. He cleaned up afterwards and everything was good. We haven’t had any issues with the product and I would recommend Bath Fitter.

I liked the product of Bath Fitter. I was dealing with messy men and I figured that their product would be easier to clean. I had them install a tub and the wall around it. In addition, I had them do one grab bar and a shelf. I had a contract with Bath Fitter which said that the work would be done within a certain a time frame, but it was not even close to that time frame by the time that the installers finally came to do it. They explained to me that the holdup was because they didn't have enough personnel to install their product. There was lack of personnel on all ends, even at the office. I got excited about doing something, but it was almost five weeks after the contract was over when the installers finally came in. That was a concern for me because I put a deposit down, then I didn't even hear from them.
When the installers finally came in, they were fine. They explained everything and they were here when they said they would be. I made the wrong decision though. If I have to do another bathroom remodel, I would get a wall that has some texture to it. Mine is just flat so you can see the soap scum that gets on it. But the product itself is fantastic.

Since we weren’t familiar with what they would and wouldn’t do and what was and wasn’t included, the salesman that came out could’ve given us more information which would have been helpful. Nonetheless, the main installer did really good. The workmanship was very neat. He had custom wood and he was very exact. The flunky he was with wasn’t too swift but he did all right for what he was supposed to do.

Bath Fitter's rep was good. He showed us all the product lines and we relied on him to guide us through the project because we weren’t too familiar with all that had to be done in redoing our bathroom. We had Bath Fitter do a shower conversion. They did the walls, the shower base, and the ceiling. We also had the walls in our small bathroom done in the subway tile pattern, which turned out nice. The work they did was excellent. They moved along quickly and took about two days to complete the project. They also let me do some of the work. I removed the tub and they gave me a credit for what I did because I had to put windows in. I put in a glass block window and they framed everything around it. The window sill was put in and sealed it off, but it needed a little more slope to make sure the water didn’t pond on it. We wanted it to flow back into the shower itself. A gentleman came back and he corrected that.

Filed against: Southern Bath Solutions, LLC. 5811 McCann Drive, Baton Rouge LA 70809. Complaint Description: Job is incomplete, yet they charged my Discover Card (unauthorized!) and I have to get local contractor to finish the job. They stopped communications On Sept 26, 2018, I put down a deposit of $2312.00 (Discover Card) for contract to convert tub to shower. In mid November, installer came out to do job, but had wrong measurements for job, so they had to re-order materials. In mid December, installer came out again to do job. He removed old tub, prepped site for new shower, and started installing. He could not complete install as once again he had wrong measurements for the shower. He left job site, and now I have to get a local contractor to finish the job and special order shower doors.
I spoke to Bath Fitter sales lady (Johauna **) and she told me they would give me a $1000 discount to offset my costs for local contractor. I told her I would not pay them until the job was complete and I was able to cover the costs with the $1000 discount. Now they have charged my Discover Card (unauthorized!) $4393.00, and I still don't know what the local contractor cost will be to finish the job. They have ceased communications with me. Your Desired Resolution: I seek a large enough discount to cover my local contractors cost and reimbursement for time and energy spent on this fraud case.

We own an older duplex in Milwaukee, WI which needed remodeling of the bathrooms in both units. The quoted prices we had received for removal and replacement of the existing ceramic tile and cast iron bathtubs induced us to investigate more affordable solutions. My initial skepticism over the sturdiness of an acrylic "tub liner" disappeared when I was shown a miniature model made of the same, thick and sturdy material as the final product. The fact that the installation could be completed in as little as one day, minimizing any inconvenience to our tenants was a valuable factor.
I couldn't be more impressed with all of the Bath Fitter professionals involved in our project, nor in the appearance and suitability of the finished bathrooms. An unexpected endorsement came from the City of Milwaukee plumbing inspector on the day the installations were being performed. When he arrived to check the shower valve hook-up, the inspector commented, "These people usually do a really good job, I don't expect any problems."

I had Bath Fitter replace my tub and shower enclosure and now the frame has some paint peeling. I have been very careful to clean with only products listed by Bath Fitter. I called the local Bath Fitter franchise which said it would replace the defective frame but would charge $80 per hour for labor because the installation was more than 5 years old. THAT labor charge is not indicated on the warranty card given me at time of purchase. The language there is “We warrant that each Bath Fitter bathtub, bathtub liner, shower base, bath wall, shower wall and ceiling will be free of defects for as long as you own your home. We will repair or replace any defective unit at our discretion at no charge.” This is an example of bait and switch. Bath Fitter was happy to take my money promising lifetime warranty but in actuality "no charge" is a lie.

We had an install of our Bathtub/shower on 11/16/18. The technician was awesome. He did it all in 1 day. We then found the shower head was cheap, and was installed too high for us to reach easily. It can't be adjusted to be of use to us. Upon telling the company this and the fact we weren't happy with it. I was postponed 3 days for a manager and then by same person I spoke to during complaint called back today, was told it really wasn't their issue - it came with the install we bought. We did not have a sample or demo during the buy process.
Expensive install price, this is likely the cheapest part on the whole job. To add insult to this they politely stated they would give me $200 towards a new part and the $150 service visit if I gave them a "lead" that pans out. I am thinking the satisfaction guarantee also isn't worth the paper it is printed on. I would not recommend them to my friends or anyone else. I am happy that this is just a cheap part, imagine their response had the tub cracked or something.

We've had Bath Fitter do other work for us over the years and the entire experience has been very positive. They have a good reputation and because of the quality of the work that was done and the people that we dealt with, we thought we should stay with the sure thing. We had them do a whole bathway and some work recently and they also did a shower installation for us. They let us pick the type of tile or whatever the backdrop is and the different fixtures and the quality of the work was excellent.
The reps would come to the house, looked at the job that we were requesting and gave us an estimate. They explained things thoroughly, answered our questions and got back to us if we had other questions. It was a professional and well-presented experience. Although the installer did a great job, he could use an extra pair of hands. It would have been a day job but they underestimated the type of shower installation it was which was an unusual one at least from our understanding of what they do. It took him a second day to come back and complete the installation. Still, we give Bath Fitter a good recommendation.

I did not cancel within 3 days. Well I didn’t know they couldn’t do this until an hour before asking for my deposit back! Maybe 1/2 back? Oh no you don’t. They then sent a supervisor to look. He changes design and it’s a go for following week. Tech show up. They start. They apologize but no shower curtain rod til next week! Handicap shower. Needed husband. No shower curtain! Install finished. Shower curtain in. Hardly any water pressure?
We are installing new floor. Pull up old floor. Find awful mold situation. Although you did not cause this, you failed to tell me I had 3” water under my bathroom and then you proceeded to throw all debris from the job UNDER MY HOUSE! After removing all wet insulation and debris and drying up water, we discover a slight leak under new shower. Bath Fitter come next day. 1 hr later than stated. Fix leak. Find plastic Filament in shower head slowing water release? Really!! You leave debris everywhere! I did not expect you to clean up water mess. Unless of course you caused it in removing our tub? A common courtesy would be to show me the water under my house and NOT THROW YOUR TRASH UNDER MY HOUSE. This was severely overpriced and nothing but aggravation. I demand some kind of restitution.

We had Bath Fitters install a tub liner April 18. Everything looked great! The reveal was just as expected and I truly thought the job was done very well. Nov 18 while walking in an adjacent bedroom we noticed that the hardwood floors were cupped as if they have been wet. We proceeded to investigate reasons why and noticed that the tub liner had separated from the back of the wall. When you stood in the rear of the tub the gap actually expanded. Water was getting in the crack and running down the back of the tub, along the floor and under the wood floor. No visible water damage on the walls or ceilings below. Because this was our son's shower we did not notice the caulking issue till we noticed the damage. We cut out peepholes in the sheetrock to see what is going on. Sure enough, after a brief period of the shower being on the water started coming around the tub on the floor.
We called Bath Fitters to come out and take a look. The technician showed up earlier than expected (good and bad) at the door with a tube of caulk. He investigated the situation and agreed there was an issue. He made a call to his office and the answer was "caulk it" we are sorry. That is not the best way to handle this. They are unable to take the liner out and redo it. The tub will have to come out. Just a bad situation. So while I agree the finished product looked and performed well, but you better make sure that these situations are addressed and hold them accountable. Not to mention that in the warranty it notes that caulking is not included.

Bath Fitter has been around for a long time and I’ve known about them for years. I suggested to my friend that he might wanna get a walk-in shower, so he did. Then I also decided to go ahead and purchase a new tub and shower unit. I had wanted to do it for years, and I’ve decided to go ahead and do it this year. The first salesman that came to see my friend wasn’t very impressive and the guy who came to see me was fine. The installation process was good and the team did a really good job. They were very clean and didn't make a mess. They were literally there from maybe 7:30 to 2:30, and they got it all done in 7 hours, which is really great. The whole project was really very well done. I like it and I’m very happy with it. Bath Fitter is very expensive but I like the fact that they took care of everything, including the plumbing. I didn’t have to have any other contractors involved as well, which was good.

I bought a remodel from Bath Fitter where they cover up the bathtub with a new product. I also got a little shelving unit where one can put shampoo and stuff in. The sales guy was good, knew what we needed, and seemed to do a good job. He presented the information and then they followed up with phone calls. We had two installations where one was in our rental property. When they came out and installed it, we had some troubles with the drain and we had found out that the stuff was backing up. The guy tried his best to clean it out but he was not able to. So, we had to get a drain guy come in and he took care of it. Bath Fitter said they would pay for fixing the drain but did not. Other than that, we did not have problems in the other installation.

Called Kent, Washington franchise about replacing caulking around tub that is breaking down in places and also splitting. Was told it would cost 95.00 dollars because original project was done back in 2006. I agreed on price. Was told she would call back same day for appointment to have somebody come. It has been three days and still no callback. I guess the project wasn't worth anything because the money wasn't enough. But at least have enough courtesy to take a couple of minutes to call a person back and say you aren't interested in doing job. If that's the way they handle their would be customers then I myself and everybody I know will be told not to do business with that franchise or Bath Fitter company as a whole.

I would like to say that Bath Fitter installed our new shower which we were very pleased with until the handles started leaking as the wrong screws were put in and it was rusted out so he had to come back and change them which he did. Then the other handle kept falling down which he did not come back to fix. Then we had noticed that the toilet was leaking and had to do a claim for water damage only to find out that the vanity that he installed for us was also leaking.
Thank God for BELFOR restoration in Nanaimo has come to our rescue being elderly people and paying 7000 to Bath Fitter for the new shower that leaked and our brand new vanity that we bought got ruined from water damage due to wrong installation. When I called Bath Fitter and told them about the water leak he was here in no time to see the damage but he couldn't come to fix the handles. Anyways I'm not impressed with this company and their morals and shady work that was done. Do your homework first before hiring anyone in Nanaimo.

Bath Fitter installed a walk-in bath for our next door neighbor and they were very real pleased with it. I gave Bath Fitter a call to see what they had to offer and the seamless shower is a very good program. The sales rep was wonderful and had a little bit to do with me deciding to go with it. He was such a knowledgeable individual that presented himself well. He didn’t push or encourage it so much. He displayed what he had and left the decision up to us.
I had my first Bath Fitter remodel 3 months ago and the installation team was great too. They were very neat, respectable, and thorough. They kept it clean and so it was very clean when they left. If we had a couple of small issues, we did not pay anything at all, and it was taken care of immediately. They removed a tub and shower then installed a walk-in shower. They also put three safety bars, a larger shelf, and upgraded the walls on it. There was a textured wall on it, and it was a special cover, and glass doors. The shower turned out real nice and I enjoy it so much. I’m very well pleased with Bath Fitter.

From my first call to Bath Fitter in May of 2018 to the day that the job was done on November 14, 2018, my experience has been top notch! My measurement/estimate appointment was scheduled for July 6, 2018 and Dan arrived to my home bright and early (as scheduled). He was professional, courteous and very helpful. Once we made up our mind to go ahead and get this job done I went ahead and called them back to set-up the appointment. I spoke with Nick **, who was amazing to work with. He was so helpful, kind and professional and made this process so unbelievably easy.
The installer arrived the morning of 11/14/18 and completed the job in one day as promised. We went from a stand up/walk in shower to a bath tub-shower combo and it looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out and would definitely use Bath Fitter again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their current shower stall or bathtub. I've now had my new tub for just about two weeks and am extremely happy! I will add another update after about a year or two to let you know how the tub is holding up to normal wear & tear!

I liked Bath Fitter's one-day service. I liked the idea of them just going in over the existing tub because the only way of getting it out was to break it. I also liked the idea of them coming in and putting the line over it. My house is what they call a story and a half, with a bathroom wall that isn't straight. It slopes with the roof. It wasn’t something you run into every day so I knew it was gonna be a rough one. Chris, the man that installed it, said it was the roughest one he had been on in 14 years. Nonetheless, he did a great job. He was very conscientious and customer-minded. He wanted things right. He put the tub and shower in and they looked great. I'm very happy with it.
I have a very small bathroom with a vanity that was too big and Chris didn't put the corner piece on the tub because if he had put it on, I wouldn't have been able to open the door at all. Yesterday, I finally got a small vanity. I went ahead and pulled the big vanity out and gave them a call. I told them that I'd be fine whenever they could schedule me to put that corner on, and they're coming here today. The only problem we had was they ordered the tub three times because the wrong tub was sent in twice. Still, I'm very happy about the whole job. The sales rep who sold me the tub was a good fellow and everybody I talked to was very polite.

We had the bathtub removed and the shower stall put in by Bath Fitter. The installation team was very thorough and very fast, although there was one point where the guy that was installing the shower stall had asked if we could help hold something because it was a little hard for one person to do it but we had no problem with that. We love the shower. Also, we had the non-slip flooring installed, but it was very slippery without the over-coating, so we called them back and they came out and put the coating on. Now, it works really well. We had a good experience. Go ahead and use Bath Fitter.

We had a tub that never got used so we decided that that would be an option for installing our shower. I knew Bath Fitter from a television ad, then when I was at a trade show, I stopped by a booth and asked the people there if they were the company that had the ad, and they said yes. A salesperson who was fine and positive then came and talked to us. Then, the person who measured was efficient, pleasant and got in and out quickly. The installer was also great and super fast. Our shower was installed this summer with no pain for us. It was very nice and very little mess. The whole setup is on the expensive order, but it is a decent value for what we wanted. We paid for efficiency and us not having to do anything. So, I have already been telling people, especially for those non-DIYers like me, that they should call Bath Fitter if they want an updated tub or shower.

He knew what he was talking about and answered every question we had for him. As a matter of fact, I told him I was gonna give him an "attaboy" and he goes, “No, that’s all right. You don’t really have to.” But I did anyhow. Then, I was surprised to see only one guy for the installation. He was on time though and got right to it. He came up at the stairs from outside and carried all the stuff up. I told him that if he wanted to leave his tools up, he could. It was a long haul from bringing all the stuff up but he never complained about it. He knew exactly what he had to do and did really well. I was impressed with him the whole operation which took two days. Although Bath Fitter's prices are a little high, I’m still happy with the whole project.

I really like the idea of the bathtub liner and acrylic surround. The product is very good. My problems were with the installer. After the installer left I realized that there was a lot of debris left inside of the wall where he broke tile and plaster from the old wall to place the new shower control. I only knew about the debris because it all fell into the closet that backs on the bathtub wall where there is an access panel. I thought that would be the end of my problems. We were told not to use the shower for several days.
When we used the shower for the first time we ended up with a flooded basement because the installer broke the pipe going to the shower head inside of the wall. I had to cut a hole in the wall of a closet to give the installer access to make the repairs. Several weeks later I had a problem of water getting between the bathtub liner and the tub. Each time I called to complain about the problems they made it seem like it was my fault. The product is very good but the installer was a trainwreck.

When I moved first bought my house and moved in, the shower downstairs was so old and cheap. The floor at the bottom of the shower was cracking, too, and I figured it was time to have a new shower put in. So, I contacted Bath Fitter. Their price was more reasonable and less expensive than other companies. I also liked that it took them quicker to do it. With Bath Fitter, my bathroom was only closed down for one day versus another estimate I received that said it was gonna be closed down for three to five days.
The installation also went great. The guy that came was very professional then the plumber that they contracted with was really good and pointed out some things to me. One of them was my toilet and I got that redone by a different plumber because he didn’t do that type of work. Other than that, I had a great experience with Bath Fitter. They’re a good, professional, and reputable company. Plus, I love the stand up shower that I got from them and I will use them again for my upstairs bathroom whenever I’m ready.

We had a situation of black mold coming through the tile, so we needed to do something. And without talking to anybody else, I went right to Bath Fitter. Their reps were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their people reviewed the area and determined the best measurements to do what needed to be done. They measured three times and even on the third time, they still had to go back and recut the tub because it was still a little too big for one spot.
So, instead of just doing a one-day install, it took two days. But we were really impressed because they were able to lay-over the original cast-iron tub and put in the stall without taking down my dad’s original ornamental framework on the area. And it really tied in with the color, so it all worked out. Bath Fitter even came back later to see the end result. And we love the finished product. Then since I didn’t have the credit, I had to pay upfront for it, and they worked with me on that. I’d recommend Bath Fitter in a heartbeat.

We had a three-feet-deep garden tub put in. But it was not working for us, so I had to get rid of it. It was a nice tub if we had been in our 20s or 30s. I put the work that I needed in Angie’s List, but everybody that called me back said that they could not do the job. Bath Fitter was the only one available. The salesman was really nice and he knew everything. But the lady that does the finance part needs some customer service correction. She talked to old people in a demeaning way.
It was just one person who took the garden tub and put in a roll-in shower in two days. He also put the bars and the shelving in, and a shower rod. And then he put in a handheld showerhead that has a little click thing to stop the water for a few minutes instead of turning the knob. Bath Fitter did a beautiful job and the overall performance was good. I have no regrets. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them.

Other companies come and go, but Bath Fitter has been around for a long time. They had a display at an RV Show in Columbus, which reminded me that I should really call them. My shower was starting to look pretty ratty and I had been wondering what I was gonna do. They installed the shower with the grab bars in May. And I have no complaints about the installation.
The Bath Fitter rep was a good guy, but the stuff that he showed me misrepresented what they actually had. He showed me the clear-like material that would be used as a wall on the shower. It was a really sturdy piece of acrylic and you couldn’t bend it in any way. But when they came in and installed it, it seemed to be a little bit more flimsy than the model they showed. I also picked the more expensive design with the marbling effect on the sample. But when installed, it was so light that you can barely see it. I paid $1,000 extra for that when I could have gotten just a plain old white one, which would've looked just about the same.

We bought the house six years ago and the shower tiles were all original. But there was some mold in the tiles because they were cracked. My bathroom was disgusting and I have kids, so I wanted to invest in doing the remodel. Plus, you get a return on your investment when you go to sell your property. So, I figured we'd start with the bathroom then we’ll go to the kitchen next time. My mom and grandma saw Bath Fitter on TV and told me about them. When I talked to their salesperson, Jane, she was personable and cool. She was motivating and she made sure that it was right for me. I did a couple of revisions to the order after I had originally placed it, so I called her back. I originally ordered the cheapest flat tiles but I ended up wanting the subway tiles. So, I revised that and I upgraded to a curved rod versus a straight rod. Jane was always super cool about it and we did a lot of emailing back and forth.
Then the install guy, Gerry, came to do the sizing and he was extremely kind. Zach, the dude that did the job, was super kind, too. I only had two walls in my bathroom and there's a two-wall glass door in it but he built a third wall at the end of the shower. Then he did the surround as well. I thought that it was gonna be a lot longer of a process than it was because they had to build that wall but Zach got done before he was even supposed to be done. It took him from 8:00 to 5:00 to finish the installation and it didn't even take a day.
All in all, Bath Fitter was outstanding and I had a really good experience from them. Their prices are obviously a little bit higher, but it is what it is. I live in the state of Nebraska, so I had to finance through some other finance company that they didn’t normally use. The interest rate was really high and I have good credit. So, I ended up getting a personal loan and paying off that company in full. Other than that, I like to live in my bathroom now. Bat Fitter's guarantee for life is awesome, too.

On the day before my scheduled installation I called to confirm the installation. I was told that for some reason I wasn't on the schedule. This was after arranging for both myself and my tenant to be available for the install for 2 days. The new schedule was a month later when both my tenant and I could be available again. Then during the installation the installer damaged the ceiling outside the shower area. He also built a wall that wasn't anywhere close to square, looked horrible.
On the good side the company was very fast to come out to look at it and schedule a repair date, however that was another week before it was repaired. A week that the tenant could use that bathroom. When the tech came out to repair it he had no knowledge of the crown moulding repair that was discussed with the supervisor who evaluated it so he had to piece together 2 pieces of moulding leaving a seam in the middle of the wall. He also didn't think about the repair thoroughly before doing it. He repaired the wall first and then repaired the damaged ceiling with wood filler. Unfortunately that left no time for the filler to dry. He said that he was going to have to come back another day to finish it. At that point I just told him I would finish it myself since I was leaving on vacation a couple days later. Had he put the filler on first it would have been dry by the time he finished rebuilding the wall.
And now one of the shower trim pieces near the ceiling repair is coming loose. Unfortunately I can't keep intruding on my tenant since she is a day sleeper because of her work schedule. Unfortunately companies like this give no thought to how much time the customer has to take off work in situations like this. I've missed a total of 4 days for a two day install. As much as we pay for this service they really ought to compensate the customer and tenant when situations like this happen. This was my third shower install from this company. I probably won't use them again.

There's tiles on the wall that are regular tile size around my tub and then I have a corner unit, and glass shower doors put on. The only thing I don't like about the glass shower doors is that the handlebars hit against the glass when you close the door. It should have rubber stoppers over the handles. The glass door hits the towel bar when you close the door. If you close it real fast, it smashes up against the other door, and I'm always afraid. It's not gonna break because it's tempered glass, but still it's a weird way they made it.

The installation went well and the bathtub/shower area looks great! A few things though. I wasn't aware they would remove both of the soap shelves and not replace them. The salesman had asked me if I wanted a new shelf installed but I declined. Had it been made clearer that the shelves would be taken away I would have definitely ordered a new one. Secondly, I wanted a new shower head which the salesman told me could be done. However one of the installers said on his paperwork it stated, "Customer would supply shower head." This was wrong. I never agreed to that. They came up with a shower head which was nice but it's terrible.
I have to get a new one on my own anyway. Then the first time I went to use the shower only the cold water worked and the handle that changes from bath faucet to shower was so tight I couldn't budge it. I called the next day and was told they could have someone come and look at it between 3pm-5pm. I waited 6 hours for someone to come. Then be told the hot water handle was stripped and needed to be replaced. They did fix the tub to shower handle though. So after they left I had to go to Home Depot (fortunately there's one in walking distance) at 9:30 at night and get a new one. Some of my complaints may sound petty but for the money I laid out a little more attention could have been paid to smaller details.

One thing that I liked about their product was that everything was gonna be in one piece, the walls, the tub that fit into it and the shower, so there were no seams. It also helped sway me that the shower-end in the tub had little dimples so it wasn’t slick. When you stood on it, it was like little suction cup. I tried one out there and it was good. And then, one man worked on the installation, he got everything ready on the first day then came back the next, and put the shower in and hooked it all up. Bath Fitter are good people and we were happy with the work, except, they sent my paperwork to the wrong place.
Given it’s a VA grant, I need to have those papers in order to turn them in to the VA to get the final payment. The whole thing cost me almost $9,000 and the VA is supposed to pay me $6,800 towards my bathroom. I gave all my papers to Helen, who then sent it to their main office, and that’s why I haven't got a check yet. I’m still $3,400 behind from the government, and still trying to get the paperwork back from the Bath Fitter home office. So, that's one thing to make sure of when working with a grant, that you follow your paper through and not let them send it in for you. But overall, I’m happy with my Bath Fitter experience.

Mid-September 2018, we had Bath Fitter to the house for a quote. Although it was pricey, we felt the job would be done quickly and we could continue with the rest of our home upgrades. It took almost 3 weeks to hear from anyone with how and when the install would be scheduled. Because they don't work weekends, we had to take a day off work which needed to be pre-approved. First frustration. The installation happened on October 19th. Randall was our installer and my husband was with him all day. Randall had him assist with several tasks, which he was very happy to do. When it came time to install the tub drain it was found that it wasn't deep enough. Randall only had one size in his work van. We live very close to their warehouse so we asked if he could get the right part. Randall called the office a few times and then went to get the part.
He then found it was too long so tried to cut it down becoming increasingly frustrated and damaged it so that it would not thread. In the process he cracked the tub liner so much that should we be able to install the drain ourselves, the crack would still be exposed. We took pictures to document this as well. We then notified the office and they called back asking us to text message the manager with our photo, which we did. We have not heard back from this manager to date. Of NOTE: when Randall was cleaning up, my husband had left to find a proper fitting tub drain, he told me in casual conversation that if he was able to get the drain to fit that he would have charged us $250 for the work to get the tub drain to fit. I was appalled as the work contract clearly states that if there were any charges above what was agreed upon, Bath Fitter was to tell us before doing the work.
Consequently we would not have paid had this been the case. It is moot at this point because our tub liner is cracked. Both my husband and myself have been calling Bath Fitter 2 to 5 times each week since then (today is November 7th). We have only received one callback last week after 6 pm, unfortunately the call was missed. We were asked to call back to schedule their plumber. We immediately called back leaving a message to then call us back. I am beyond frustrated at this point.
Last evening I called the salesman we originally met with as I found his number in our call history thinking that he may be able to help get the ball rolling. My husband also called the main number last eve as well... again. If we do not hear from someone directly (no messages) to schedule by this coming Friday, we will not recommend this company. I also add that I work as a home health nurse, seeing people who often need bathroom fixes to make it easier and safer to bathe... so I will steer them away from Bath Fitter.

I purchased a tub, surrounds, and glass doors for two bathrooms. The Bath Fitter reps came out, looked at everything and gave me a price that I couldn't believe. I said yes and once everything was done, they came out and installed everything. Everything was done well. We’ve been using the bathrooms for about five months and they work great. They’re easy to clean and Bath Fitter did a great job.

My experience with Bath Fitter had been excellent. We have a small bathroom with a huge tub in it and we had them cover the tub and do the wall. It was amazing how doing that changed the whole bathroom. The people from Bath Fitter told us that it would be an excellent way for us. We were excited to know that we would be able to do that and it would look great instead of having to redo the whole thing. We also had a grab bar put in. Everybody was very nice and they helped us with everything. I felt like I knew them forever. The lady who came here to do the sales presentation was amazing and she knew everything. The installer was great as well. We loved that when he came in, the first thing he did was lay runners so when he was going in and out, there was not a speck of anything anywhere. He had to go through the living room to get to the bathroom.

Bath Fitter promised one-day installation and they offered a lifetime guarantee. The sales representative was great. He was really knowledgeable and very friendly. We converted a bath into a shower, and we liked the quick turnaround time. We were a little surprised they only had one person doing the entire install, but he seemed to know what he was doing. And they had told us it might take more than a day, but he got it done in about five hours. We really like our shower.
The only thing is we had some difficulty scheduling. We signed the contract back in May, but it was installed in September. When we first signed the contract, we got an estimated installation date and we hadn't heard anything. And when I called, they said they had changed the installation date and they were gonna call me soon and let me know. And they rescheduled it for another day. Then they called the day before the rescheduled day to confirm the appointment. And then a half hour later, they called back to cancel it because they couldn't make it. And then we tried to reschedule again. So, it took about four times before we actually got a date that we could both work with. It was our torment for several weeks. Still, Bath Fitter is a good company but make sure you have someone available at any time for the installation.

My wife liked Bath Fitter and their one-day installation guarantee. The salesperson was good and helpful, too. Bath Fitter did a complete tear out of the old tub and installed a new tub in September. The installation was great and it was done in one day -- not even a whole day. The installer was a nice guy. We called them with some other questions even after we set up the tub and did a couple of add-on things, and there were no issues. We are very satisfied with our decision to remodel with Bath Fitter. The Bath Fitter salesman was good except for not explaining this water flow issue on the shower. I spent $5,000 for a new shower and bathtub but I'm not very satisfied with the shower. Bath Fitter put in a shower head that controls the flow of the water for energy/water-saving purposes and I'm unhappy with that. The water is so weak that you feel like you're not getting rinsed off. It was never explained to me that that would be the case when they installed it. The installer told me that I can go in there and take something out to open the flow up. But they should tell you about that water flow upfront. The company needs to really stress that.
The shower surround material is also very thin and cheap. It's not that easy to clean either. There are no scratches on it whatsoever but yesterday, I used the exact cleaner they told me to use. And I actually had to clean it three times to get the spots off it. There's also one little problem right now. The caulking that they put in between the back wall and the tub is getting a little crack in it. It's been more than four weeks since the installation but they need to come back and fix that. Nonetheless, I like the bathtub and the installation had gone very well. The guy was great too. He answered all my questions and explained things ahead.

After the work was done I asked when the wall would be mudded and taped, the builder he couldn't understand English then. I have called Garth the salesman 3 times, the Orlando office and talked to Tammy once and Angie twice, now I'm told that was not in the contract. When I agreed to 6500.00 it was not for a job not completed. I see the owners thank pp. for their 5 star rating. But I do not see anywhere they are helping get the job done correctly for the others. Now after a week the shower head is leaking. Will I hear back after the check has been cashed?

We love the install we did with Bath Fitter. We redid a whole bath upstairs, which involved a tub and enclosure. It's a major operation and everything went great. In fact, we loved it so much that we've ordered a second install. There's a standalone shower area in the master bathroom and we're redoing that with Bath Fitter. Then we're finishing the basement and we're gonna go with the Bath Fitter product as well. Bath Fitter is really the way to go.
We had never done a bathroom remodeling before this and when we went to the Expo, three others came and gave us estimates. Bath Fitter wasn't necessarily the least expensive option. But the other ones seemed to want to go with tile and we just weren't crazy about tiles. So I liked the option given by Bath Fitter. Also, one of the things that were mentioned was that Bath Fitter had won a major national contract with a major hotel chain. They weren't allowed to name it but we stay at the Hilton properties regularly. It just happened that shortly after that, we stayed at a property that I was pretty sure was redone in Bath Fitters, and it was awesome.
After we signed and agreed to the contract, it took us a while to schedule the installation because we had to fit it in with a bunch of things that were going on in our lives. Then after we scheduled it, there was an issue with the install. They found that the joist was exactly where the drain needed to be. It had nothing to do with Bath Fitter though. It's just that once you start taking things apart, you find things. But they had to figure out a workaround and they were able to make it happen. They made it work and fit it within a one-day install.

Part of the problem of reviewing/researching a company that runs on a franchise system is that one franchise can be very different from another. We found this to be evident in our dealings with Bath Fitter. A little more than 10 years ago we had Bath Fitter, Stoney Creek install a unit in our upstairs shower. They were professional, courteous and the product was, and continues to be, fantastic.
In the fall of 2017, we had a full shower installed by Bath Fitter, Hamilton. When we ordered it, we were told that they would call us when the product arrived. We waited and waited and finally we phoned to asked we should expect it. We were told that it had arrived 2 or 3 weeks ago. We booked a time for the installation which should have been a 1-day job but they had forgotten a part for our other shower and had to come back the next day.
A few months later we developed a problem with the door of our new shower. The door would hit a sticking point and would jump off the track. I went in to ask about it and was told that it was not covered. It turned out that they thought that I was referring to the other shower which was installed more than 10 years prior and it was no longer covered. Once we established that it was the new shower that I was talking about they sent out a technician who made a few adjustments, which didn’t work.
The long and short of it is that they had to come out about 4 times. One time the technician explained to my wife that it was because it was not opening the door properly, although I seemed to have no problem opening the other door. Finally, they decided that we needed a new roller on the shower door and they ordered it. It took a long time, so I called them, and they told me that it had arrived the previous week, so I booked a time for the technician to come. A couple of days later I got a phone call and was told that the part had not come in and they cancelled the call. Finally, it did come, and it was repaired after 4 months. This second franchise is incredibly disorganized. The technicians were all very pleasant, but the office seems completely disorganized. If you wish to use Bath Fitter, I would recommend you avoid this franchise.

He turned on his radio very quietly, and I only realized that he had it when he invited us up to see the bathroom when it was finished. He was very efficient. The work was done very quickly. I thought it would be mostly the whole day, and it was not. All the sealing that he did so water can’t get in was very, very neatly done. There was no residue of any kind. It looked brand spanking new. We're very happy and very satisfied with Bath Fitter. We showed them to friends and have spoken to people who have the same situation as we did with an old bathroom.

Bath Fitter brought the right combination of quality, technical capability, and customer service altogether. They gotta be a hard sell and they’re very expensive. The way that the sales team provided the presentation and led me into the various choices and reasons for doing it was really good. The follow-up was there as well with the technical people. They, too, have the right quality and tools and expertise to do the job.
They did a bathtub shower remodel and it was the first one I paid for. I’ve done a couple myself, so I knew what was involved. I’ve never seen a bathtub destroyed with a sledgehammer before, and I must say that the technical expertise and being that they did this in two days, I was amazed that they could do it quickly. Everything was done right and very well put together. There was nothing sloppy. The guy really knew what he was doing. It’s an old house that I have, which means sizes aren’t quite the same as modern houses, and he took all that into consideration. And being how I’ve done some of that work on homes that I’ve owned in the past, I was impressed with the way that he did it and how he did it. I would not hesitate to recommend Bath Fitter and I sing their praises.

We decided to go with Bath Fitter nine years ago. We had our tub and surround covered. We were happy with how it looked. I see that a lot of the positive reviews are for reason installations. We would've given it a similar rating. Now, however, things are very different. The caulking gave out. Water got behind the wall and tub. We have a big bubble in the floor and water stains on the ceiling of the room below. Apparently, the site states that the existing area is made secure before the liner is put on. This doesn't seem to be the case. In addition to this, the moulding that runs vertically on the corners is coming off. No adhesive underneath. Of course, the lifetime warranty they lure you in with does not apply to any of this. They are telling me it is over two hundred dollars to drain and re-caulk.
I will never use them again. Would've been better off re-glazing and tiling. No money saved in the long run and no lifetime warranty to back it. In addition to all of this, I have had terrible communication with our local Bath Fitter franchise. Didn't come out when they said they would, then showed up when I wasn't home so I couldn't show them exactly what I was talking about. Followed up with the national number but still not happy with the results. Not the great long term solution they talk about.

6 days ago, the entire bathroom flooded and we saw water stains in the dining room below. It turns out, the previous owners had used Bath Fitter in 2006. I found out only because it appeared to be a liner, and I thought who better to fix it. The liner had pulled away from the tub/silicone had loosened, and the space between the tub and liner had filled, then overfilled with water. As it turns out, it was a Bath Fitter product. Although they had a lifetime warranty, as new owners, we are not eligible for it. That's unfortunate, but we were not expecting the services to be covered to begin with, so no big deal.
I am only giving 4 stars SOLELY due to the customer service staff. The first young woman I spoke to couldn't wait to get me off the phone. She neglected to do as she promised, which was put us down as an urgent call, to receive a call back first thing Monday morning (I called on a Saturday). I carried my phone with me the entire day Monday - no call. Finally at 4 pm, I called again. Frustrated. Spoke to a different representative and explained my frustration and that I was to receive a call to schedule someone to at least come and look at our tub on Monday morning.
Fast forward to my family showering at whatever friends place we could get to, now 4 days after the flooding, and me having to take time off work to wait. Even though I had scheduled the time off for this, the Scheduler came back and wanted to do it a different day than I was told would work. It was very, very frustrating, but in the end, she was able to have the technician, Jared, come to my home on the day I was scheduled to be there. Aside from the frustration of dealing with the customer service folks, Jared did a fantastic and very fast job of getting rid of all of the water and resealing my liner to my tub. When I asked him how we work the payment for the work and how much it would be, he informed me that even though I am not eligible for the lifetime warranty, they were doing the repairs for me at no charge.
I admit, I was embarrassed, as I started to cry. My family has been hit with multiple tragedies and things have not been easy. It was probably the first time in over a year that someone had done something nice for us. It was such a huge weight off my shoulders, that I couldn't hide my overwhelming sense of relief. I have not yet used the shower - giving the silicone as long as possible to cure, even though Jared said I could use it this morning. I don't want to risk any issues and I am extremely grateful that Bath Fitter, and Jared took care of us, even though they really didn't have to do that. Thank you very much.

Bath Fitter was the only one that has a one whole unit. The units have seamless walls, so that was a better deal because we don't have time to be re-caulking things. All the plumbing in our bathroom was included. They gave the shower bars, a shower rod, and all the fixtures too. The bottom of the shower is wonderful, so I won't slip. I have problems and the installer put the bars in a good location.
The gentleman who did the installation was very nice and clean. Everything was cleaned up. He was very good and more knowledgeable. While he was here, I did a few calls with different companies who were hem-hawing saying, "This wasn't included, and you had to pay extra for that." So, it was not a good experience with the other company. The other gentleman that was going to do the remodel wanted to do only a 32-inch wide tub. I would have to go shopping for a whole new floor even though there's nothing wrong with my bathroom floor. They were not willing to expand the shower.
With Bath Fitter, it was a lot less aggravation, and I didn't have to go to Lowe's and pick out a fixture. The plumber was very good with the plumbing, too. He would tell me what he was doing and how he did the flooring. He put a new subfloor in, and he did new Sheetrock on the walls for the surround. So, it all went well. I told the people who live here that if they have tubs they wanna replace, they should call Bath Fitter. They were great.

The sales rep was a really nice guy and he made me feel really comfortable and secure in what he was doing. He was knowledgeable and informed me what I needed to know. Then, the installer did an excellent job. They provided me with a beautiful shower and a tub. It really looks nice. Also, I have a shelf and two of the handrails. It looks excellent and it's great to get in the shower. I am extremely satisfied. Call Bath Fitter. You would be very pleased.

I saw a Bath Fitter van in the neighborhood and it piqued my interest. I looked them up online and I knew they could go behind walls. If there was any kind of other conditions they had found, they'd be able to remediate it. A lot of people would start charging a whole bunch of stuff 'cause the condo is not super old, but it looked like they had gone back and then the piping had changed so I didn't know what we would be dealing with. The person who came out to the house was the manager. He was knowledgeable and was able to do the entire spiel. He was able to answer all the questions and there was no pressure to commit.
Everyone at the phone service was very communicative, however, it went silent after a while ‘cause the supplies hadn't come in so it was kind of a guessing game. But eventually, once everything came in, the installation was very quick. My parents were here and they said everyone was very professional. They didn't damage any walls bringing stuff in. We got the complete bathtub and wall cover and it looks great, I haven't had a problem with it. It's easy to clean and the materials are great just like what they talked about in the installation preview, so the product is exactly what was promised. I would definitely recommend going with the subway tile option ‘cause it looks nice. Everyone should go for Bath Fitter, they're not gonna regret it.

The sales team never disclosed to me that a deposit would be non-refundable. The back side of the contract is not signed by me or by the salesperson. I was rushed through when I asked questions like these. When we changed our minds about working with Bath Fitter, we were told our deposit was not refundable. Not even a portion of the deposit will be refunded. Absolutely zero work was done in our home but they will not return our $800. It has been an awful experience.

A neighbor down the street had some work done by Bath Fitter. I also noticed their company on TV and seen the options that I had as far as getting my own bathroom done, so I went with them. Their reps came in and did what they were supposed to do. The plumber raised the shower up higher and it made a big difference. It was much better than when it was kinda low from the jump. But the guy who came here had to leave twice to retrieve certain items. It was no big deal though and he caused no convenience. He explained to me that the truck he usually drives had a flat to it and at the time, he was driving somebody else’s truck. So, it was all agreeable that I could see why he had to go back if he didn’t have a certain piece that he needed to complete the job.
They did the whole bathroom and a third of the wall and the family's pleased with their work. They did that a month ago and so far, everything is A-OK and doing what it should be doing. And I would tell others to go along with Bath Fitter because what they did to the bathroom makes our house look like a totally different house. It changed it up everything and made the house look much better.

Remodeling with Bath Fitter was gonna be a quick process and we wanted someone who could really focus on the shower area, which was exactly what we needed. Also, their rep came to our home and talked to us about some of the options. We also talked price then my husband and I decided that that was the direction we wanted to go. We got a walk-in shower enclosure and when it was installed, the rep let us know what he'd be doing and what time it'd be done approximately. He stayed right on track, so the installation was very good. I would totally recommend Bath Fitter. They seemed like a great company and their reps were friendly. It also seemed like if we had any problems, it wouldn't be too difficult to get in touch with somebody to get the problem resolved.

I requested an in home estimate from Bath Fitter. My direct contact was always the office person Lori. On 10/2/18, a representative, Lisa came by, completed measurements and provided an estimate. The estimate was for 5,000.00 to install a tub & surround. At the time, I wasn't aware that the price was outrageously high for my very small bathroom. Lisa advised that I would need to pay $1,000.00 deposit. She stated that, If I changed my mind, I would have three days to cancel. We agreed that she would wait to hear from me before anything was ordered, because I was going to look into financing.
Later the same day, I spoke with my daughter, who resides in another state as well as a couple of other people who stated that, this was too much to pay for a bathtub shell & surround. They felt that, I was being taken advantage of. On the same day at 7:54pm, I called Bath Fitter and left a message, same as I had been doing for over a month, when Lori & I was missing each other. Never any issues with Lori receiving my messages. I left a message advising that, I had changed my mind and requested that my check be returned and not deposited. This was well within the 3 day deadline. Well the following day, I had a medical procedure and didn't remember to call again because, Lori always received my messages. I didn't stop payment because, I trusted that since I conformed well within the deadline, Bath Fitter would be fair. Was I wrong.
On 10/15/18, I received a message from Charlie, asking to set up installation. I called back and explained that I had cancelled this order on the same day it was made. Lisa called and informed me that they did not get my message and that I was going to lose my deposit. I know they got the message because, they have gotten every other message I have left. According to my bank, my check was deposited on 10/12/18. If they didn't get my message, why did they hold my check from 10/2 to 10/12. I have read other complaints about Bath Fitter refusing to return deposits. I have my phone records for that day, that documents that, I made a call and the duration of the call to the Pensacola office.
I am 65 and cripple and feel that, they took advantage and did not want to return my money. Lisa was not suppose to do any ordering without hearing from me. I complied with the three day cancellation policy and they are pretending they never received a call. My phone records prove I called. Now I feel I am getting the runaround with Charlie saying, he can't make the decision to refund my $1,000.00, he has to contact other management. I am providing the phone record of the call. I had no other reason to call the office on the same day the order was placed. See attached. I can provide a copy, could not get scanned. I will be filing a complaint through the state of Florida also.

My mother recommended Bath Fitter. They got a flier in the mail and passed it along to me. I looked at other possibilities, but there aren't a whole lot of them and I recognized Bath Fitter's name. The rep did a standard salesman thing where he started in the middle, then went up high and then he let the customer make the decision, but there was no pushing or shoving. I made it clear from the outset that I was going to be making the decisions and we started out talking about doing the whole floor-walls, but settled on getting just a tub liner and a soap dish to cover up the hole that was in the wall.
The salesman was, by far, the least obnoxious, but there was a point where I had reservations. Our bathtub was refitted from 1960s plumbing and he said that to put up an enclosure wall, there was something we had to get rid of, but because I know a bit of stuff, I saw that it meant having a hole behind the enclosure, which is fine if it’s a permanent solution. If I asked him about taking it down later, he would have given me a straight answer and let me decide from there. When I said I didn’t want to go with the whole enclosure, he provided another option and he didn’t suggest that it would be worse to go with the cheaper option, so I appreciate that.
After the installer came in and introduced himself, we talked about what he was going to do and then he did it. I just sat in the room and occasionally, I’d hear a sound, turn around, take a look and ask questions. He was forthright and told me what he was doing, but I wish my whole bathroom was re-grouted for me, which is not really within the scope of the work. I was really happy with the work and remain so far. I tested it out the other day and it seemed sound. Bath Fitter has a good reputation and I’d recommend them.

Bath Fitter has a good reputation and I had them put a shower in over a bad shower. When I met with Gary, their sales rep, he described the whole remodel which was a great idea. He was very clear. He showed all the benefits then set me up and got me the financing. However, I saw white stuff coming in the drain and it seemed really strange to me. I had concerns afterward about that white stuff and I thought I would see a pipe when I look down the drain. I took pictures and sent it to Gary and he had somebody come out.
The installers took out the first putty job and explained to me that because of the type of pipe I had, they had to put putty in it. They told me it was the only type they could do there and they could not put just the pipe fitting without the putty so it was the way it has to be. Still, the installers did a neater job and I was definitely appreciative of it. I recommend Bath Fitter.

We chose to work with Bath Fitter after seeing online that they had a good reputation and because of their guarantee. We went from a tub to a shower with them. I also liked the idea that they could be in and out in a day or two. We dealt with a very good sales rep. We had lots of questions for him at the time and he was forthcoming about them. Also, we had Cedric, the installer, who is an amazing guy. I was concerned because they weren’t done after one day. They also had the wrong base which was a left instead of a right. It took them overnight to get that. Cedric was here till 7:30 that night and he finished it up. Bless his heart! He's got the heart of a carpenter and that was really appreciated. So overall, it was a good experience. Everybody along the line followed through with what they said they were gonna do and that's always encouraging. Not everybody does that.

The only thing that worried me was the cost. The price was just high. We could really remodel the whole bathroom for what we paid for a shower. The installer did well though. He was constantly moving. So he got it done quickly and professionally as he could. He also cleaned up after himself. I couldn't even tell he was here because everything was back like it was. Even outside, he cleaned all that up too. The quality of work was good as well.

So I just saw the Bath Fitter commercial on tv and how it says that the Bath Fitters are guaranteed for life. But that’s not true, Bath Fitter only guarantees it for the original owner. I bought my house last year in April and the Bath Fitter that is in the bathroom had water underneath it and basically falling apart and Bath Fitters wouldn’t help us or fix it because we aren’t the original owners and I believe they also said something about 6 months of warranty on it or something. That’s pretty unfair and due to this, I wouldn’t use your company for any other bathroom and wouldn’t recommend the company to anyone.

We thought about redoing our bathroom and when we went to our mall, there was a little home show and it got us going with Bath Fitter. We heard good things about them and we had a good interaction with their sales rep. We purchased two of the corner pieces to put stuff on and I did not realize they were so small and narrow. I told the salesman when he called that we wish they were wider corner pieces so we could get more things in them as we usually have a lot of stuff to put in our bathtub. We also got the handlebar and slate look surround but our suction cups won’t stick for our loofas.
The installation team did a really good job and our interaction went very well. However, the sales rep told us that no mold and rust sticks to the tub and we shouldn’t have much of a ring around the tub but we did. We had a hard time finding a cleaner for acrylic and my husband has to scrub it a little better. I got a bunch off, but there is still some at the bottom of the tub. We had the tub not even two months when we noticed that. Nevertheless, we recommend Bath Fitter.

Bath Fitter is the only company that I ever knew that does the over-the-tub. My neighbor had their bathroom done and they were happy with it. It was really nice and I liked it. We got the over-the-tub and the surround from Bath Fitter and Travis, the rep, was absolutely wonderful. He was a really good kid and he helped me. When he came to my house, the first thing he did was, he took his shoes off and put on slipper things. I thought that was cool and I was impressed. He was very nice and he looked clean-cut. He introduced himself and he explained everything. I felt like I knew him and I felt really comfortable with him. The installation team was great. The first guy that came in the morning was the plumbing guy and he was in and out in about an hour and then the other guy came in.
I kept my own showerhead because we like the way it came out. However, it was dangling so we tightened it. When my husband went to take a shower, the water just went everywhere. Apparently, the guy that put it on cracked it and he siliconed it a bit and he didn’t tighten it. I had to call Travis back and he was really upset that the guy had done that. Their team came out the next day and put a brand new shower thing in. It wasn't the same one but it was the best that they could do. Overall, it was an awesome experience.

I talked to the Bath Fitter guy at the State Fair and I told him that I wanted to get my bathroom remodeled. After I talked to him, one of my buddies who was also at the fair said that he redid his bathroom a couple of years ago and he was happy with them. I should have had my bathroom done years ago but I didn’t have the money then and now I’m retired. Bath Fitter did the tub-over-tub and the surround for me. I'm really happy with the sales rep. He was very good and easy to work with overall. He explained everything and he did everything that they said they were gonna do. I’m really happy with the installation as well. One guy did the installation and he had a plumber who was great. The installer worked in the bathroom, but I didn’t even know that he was in there half of the time. He also went out and worked in the driveway bending the stuff. I would definitely recommend Bath Fitter to anybody that needed their bathroom done.

The Bath Fitter sales rep came to my house and gave me the quote. He knew what he was talking about. I got the surround bath tub from them and the quality is good. The installer worked hard and long at it. The water is nicer than it was before they did this.

My husband and I had a 1940's bathroom, you know the one with the "pink" tile from floor to ceiling. We pondered many options and Bath Fitter (even though were the more expensive route) just made more sense. The Salesman was very accommodating. In fact came over and thoroughly covered everything from about 5 pm and he finally left around 10 pm, but we had no secrets and he was on target with everything. Represented the company very well. We had to wait a bit for the installation but it was worth it. We ordered and paid for a little extra so our installation actually took two days instead of 1, but again all worth it.
The installation technician explained everything step by step and gave us several options to choose from before he finalized anything. Again very professional and again, represented the company very well. We had decided to wait on several extra pieces until after the sink and toilet were installed (we bought new) so we were told to call back and they would send someone out to help us choose and then installation would be scheduled. Everything went downhill from that point. Once the sink and toilet was installed I tried calling back to have someone come out and talk with us about the towel rings and toilet paper holder and we were going to add additional shelving inside the bathtub. The administrator could not seem to find the time to work for us.
Now, again, keep in mind, there was no issue in finding the time when we wanted the bathroom remodeled, and they wanted the business, but once they grabbed the final payment it was like they could not be bothered to accommodate us on the times that worked for us. This was such an issue and back and forth on the phone that we ended canceling the remainder of the job and went a different route. The sad thing was we have another bathroom that we were looking forward to them working and remodeling. Well they lost that business, so my suggestion to anyone that uses Bath Fitter, make all of your decisions up front and have them install on the original installation date, you won't get them back out.
Hi Pamela, we apologize for your negative exerience and we would like the opportunity to look into this matter further. We will be sending you a private message in order to gather more information. Thank you.

I have friends who had used Bath Fitter and I've heard that they put out a good product. We went on the reputation and purchased a tub from them. We were a little bit limited because we were only doing the tub and there was a window in the way. So we needed to have a specific type and the representatives were always very helpful. For the installation, one person came out and his attitude was good but it didn't go as smoothly. He chipped the grab bar then the top of the tub had a tiny chip in it too. But the company rectified it all. The tub is also a very good product and it looks good. You can tell it's a new tub, but you can barely tell that it wasn't just there. I would recommend Bath Fitter.

The first place I heard of Bath Fitter was down at Fort Myers, Florida. An older lady down there had them to do one of her tubs and then I talked to another person that's in the St. Louis area this spring and they liked Bath Fitter. The company was advertising on television and I had picked up their number and called them. I've had good results remodeling with them. I purchased the bathtub and the smooth wall rather than the brick-looking wall. The installation was excellent. It's very well-organized. The plumber let a little water drip down to come down from the ceiling tile, but I had KILZ on that and that took care of that so it wasn't any big deal.

I approached Bath Fitter seeking a new bathtub and shower. In every way, Bath Fitter surpassed my expectations. From the beginning of the process to the end, the people I dealt with were professional competent and knowledgeable. From the original consultation through the process of doing the exact measurements to the installation, Bath Fitter met the need. The quality of the product I purchased is excellent. Although I do admit, the final cost was a bit higher than expected I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. It is apparent to me that quality does cost a bit more but quality also last longer and looks better. Again, I could not be more satisfied with Bath Fitter. I recommend this company to anyone seeking a new bathroom.

I got something in the mail from Bath Fitter and I called them. I also called Re-Bath but I was more impressed with Bath Fitter. The price was a little bit better but the customer service was way better. Whoever owned the house before me had painted the tub. The paint was peeling and it was atrocious, so I had the new tub fit over it, the liner, and then I also had the walls around it done. The lady on the phone had to reschedule an appointment one time and she was super nice. The guy who came to the house to give me the prices was very good and the guy who did the work was fabulous. I’m very happy with the quality and I would recommend Bath Fitter. It’s not cheap but it’s worth the money and it’s a good investment.

Bath Fitter was more local, so I tried them. They took out the old bathtub and the plumbing, and they also replaced the showerheads. We talked to the sales rep and he was very nice and helpful. I asked him questions and he told us everything. The installer also did a good job. He wasn't sloppy and he cleaned up his mess. I love the finished product.

I was researching on the internet on a fast way of bathroom remodeling where the older-house bathtub wouldn’t have to be torn out and I found Bath Fitter. The salesman was awesome. When he came out, he gave me the options and the prices of the expensive stuff and the least expensive one, and he told me what I could and couldn’t do. I looked up the reviews and although Bath Fitter is very expensive compared to other bathroom remodeling companies, their reviews were better and they had a very good system where the job could be done in a day.
In the bathroom remodeling that Bath Fitter did, they covered the bathtub which is an extra-large bathtub in an old, two-story house. They also did the walls up to where the old shower was and they replaced the showerhead and the faucet. The plumber was amazing. The installer was newer at the job and it took him a lot longer to do it than we thought, but he finished it. The poor guy worked his little tail off until 7:00 o’ clock at night but he did a good job. I live in the house with my best friend and he is very happy with the job that was done. The tub is great and easy to clean, and we love it. I’ve recommended Bath Fitter to other people and the daughter of my co-worker, to whom I mentioned Bath Fitter, used them. She has an older condo, so an overlay for her bathtub was a perfect fit.

I needed something done quickly and Bath Fitter said they could do it fast so I chose them. The sales rep that I dealt with before the installation was very informative. He knew what he was talking about and he helped answer all my questions. Then my mom, who was there for the installation, said that the installer was wonderful. She mentioned several times that I had to call to let the company know that and I did. Bath Fitter did the shell of the tub, the walls, and the ceiling. I’m very satisfied with the finished product. When I used Bath Fitter, it was a very easy process and it worked out well.

I got a couple of quotes and I had three different companies come out including Bath Fitter. I also ask people around work and someone actually had Bath Fitter. I ended up going with Bath Fitter and I got a new tub liner and then the backing on the wall to the ceiling. The sales rep was very personable and knowledgeable. I asked some questions about his competitors. He knew the answers and he was honest. The installer was wonderful. He did a great job, but he did leave quite a mess with the caulks on the floor, the carpeting and in the walls. They only had one person come out and it was a full 10-hour day where he didn’t even get to go to lunch. It’s a lot of work for one person. I suggest they have a second person as part of the installation in case there are issues and to put a little more emphasis on clean-up. Nevertheless, their prices are good. I would tell my friends that Bath Fitter is a good quality product.

I went with Bath Fitter to put in a new bathtub. Their sales rep was tough on what he wanted to do with the price, but he was all right. The guy that put the tub in did an above-average job. He was easy-going and he worked with me. But after I had it done with them, I would've probably been better off going with the other company because I would’ve gotten a lot more for my money. Aside from a new bathtub, I could have also gotten a new vanity replaced and the plumbing done for $300 more. Also, I didn't like the caulking deal which they would have to come back and do it every six months so I gotta always call them back to re-caulk.
If someone would ask me about Bath Fitter, I would tell them that they are way overpriced. If they shop around, they should get a better deal on a remodel especially if they do it in wintertime because those guys wanna stay working so they come down in price in the wintertime. My son had his redone for $500 more, but he had the flooring repainted, a new fan, and vanity with the new tub and shower. Everything was included for that which was a good deal.

I had Bath Fitter two times. 10 years ago, we bought a bathtub and just about a year ago, we had a walk-in shower put in for my husband. They did an excellent job. Our interactions with their reps were excellent. They were very nice people and they were not pushy. They came to the house, went over everything with me and made sure I was satisfied. The installation team was very nice and very efficient. They did a beautiful work and they backed their work up, too. If you have anything wrong, you can call them and they’ll come right back out. Price wise, it was good. I was happy with Bath Fitter and I’d recommend them to anybody. It is the best and you can’t go wrong with it.

We had a large shower base and the three sides done by Bath Fitter. It was done about three weeks ago and we're very satisfied. Their salesman was very straightforward and yet it wasn't like trying to push anything on us. He just presented the information in a very informative way and gave us all our options and then left the decision up to us. We liked that. Then it was just one man who came and did the installation. He was very personable, quick, and tidy. The only thing that we were unaware of is we had thought that the three little shelves in the corner was gonna go up near the shower head, and it ended up being in the end of the shower. We just assumed that was the way that the product would end up as what was shown to us. Nevertheless, we've already shown to a number of people the results and we are very pleased with it.

We used Bath Fitter for a remodel and got our tub, the tub surround and all the fixtures from them. Dealing with their sales reps was awesome as they were really down-to-earth normal people. Our rep tried to make sure that I got what I wanted. The guy who did the installation was awesome too. He got everything done super-quick. I'm very satisfied with my Bath Fitter products. Working with Bath Fitter was pricey but it was worth not having to do it myself. This was one of the first things where we had somebody do start to finish for us and it was worth every penny.

I liked Bath FItter's product and how it worked so I asked them to come out and give me an estimate. The sales agent who came here and gave me the estimate was thorough. He was right to the point and I enjoyed speaking with him. I was satisfied with their estimate and we had them do the remodel. A young man did all the installation all by himself. He was a fantastic craftsman. Everything was absolutely perfect when he was finished. We were extremely satisfied with what was done. They have put in a new bathtub and the surrounding thing on it. We also had new fixtures and a new shower. It's better than I ever thought it would be. My wife and I loves it. If anyone's gonna have their bathroom done, I would tell them to check Bath Fitter because they are that good.
