This was our first Bath Fitter remodel. The salesman was very informative and straight to the point. He was very nice. He told us exactly what we needed to hear. The installer was just one guy. He explained everything that he was doing, he showed us and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He took the bathtub out and put in a walk-in shower because I’m ill and can’t step over a bathtub. He was done in six hours. It was wonderful! I would suggest it to anybody else.

We saw Bath Fitter’s booth in the mall. We bought a foreclosure so we didn’t want to use a pretty nasty looking tub. I’d rather we take the expense of pulling it out instead of just putting something over it. The sales rep was nice. He came to the house, was very professional and he showed us everything. All different styles we could have. The installer was very professional. He came in when they said. He showed us what he was doing. He asked us a few questions. They took a little longer on the mold. It only took about an extra week. Then they had it in a day and I’ve had no issues. It was a couple of months ago. I’d recommend them again. They called us every step of the way.

My wife actually just called in and found the phone book. We looked Bath Fitter up, called them and asked them to come out and give us some estimates. The salesmen were quite helpful and they were very thorough and listened to my wife’s suggestions. They did a fine job. The installation team was only one young man. But he did a fantastic job. He was very articulate about his work. The product turned out well. It’s only been about a month now and we were quite pleased with the result. It was quite helpful dealing with them and they were all pleasant.

I was looking online for a solution to my unsightly tub. Well, my home is 20 years old and probably within the next five or so years, I’d probably plan to sell my home. So I’m trying to take care of things that would be taken care of. I don’t want to have to do everything until the last moment. And now that my children are grown, I felt I could tackle that bathroom. That’s when I saw Bath Fitter. The sales rep came to my home at a time that was convenient so both my husband and I could be here. He answered all our questions. He had his cell phone number if we had any more questions. He was very accessible. The installer was very polite. He answered all our questions and he came on time. He was also very clean and I’m very fussy. I have to also say we had one problem after it was installed. There was unfortunately a leak. But as soon as we called, they came immediately to repair that. I’m very pleased with the way my tub now looks. It solved a big problem for me. And it was done very professionally. It was a very favorable experience.

I saw Bath Fitter in the mall years ago. I had a tub that need repainting of its deck so I got their service. It was just for a tub and was our first Bath Fitter remodel. It was done two months ago. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, knew exactly what we are looking for, explained the process, very good at the pricing, and everything was well laid out. On the installation, the guy did a great job. It was probably one of the hottest days of the year and he was sweating whatever off in that little room even with the air conditioning and the window open. He did a good job all the way through. I forgot how long it took him but it was right around the timeframe that they said it was going to take. And it was clean. When everything was completed, he cleaned up after himself. So nothing but good things to say about the installation. I would recommend them. They said what they were going to do and they did what they said.

A neighbor here had somebody do her bathroom for her and that's how I found out about Bath Fitter. I’m going to be 90 and to get in the shower at my age, I have to step over the damn tub to get in the shower. That’s quite a job to do so I called Bath Fitter. The young man answered all my question. He explained everything to us. We purchased a shower. They took the tub out. Installation was very good. It was very professional and they did it in the time they said they were going to do it. They were here in the afternoon and then they came in the morning the next day and that was it. So it was really like almost one day. They were also very clean. No dirt at all.

We were walking through and saw a display of Bath Fitter at the Stroud Mall in Stroudsburg, PA. My husband wanted to remodel our bathroom for the last year because he wanted all the handles getting in and out. We had a whirlpool tub which was very high and it was difficult for him to get in and out. He wasn’t comfortable anymore and wanted to get rid of that and something that he could just walk right in. So we got our shower in August. We called maybe six weeks before that but it was done around August 8. We didn’t look at any other remodeling company. We saw Bath Fitter and called the representative. He came and showed us the pictures in his catalog and just went with that one.

The sales rep, Frank **, was very knowledgeable and we liked him. He figured out everything and how it would be and assured us that it would be done very cleanly with no mess in one or two days. And he was right. That’s the way it worked out. The installation team was one man. And he did it all by himself. He was very good. He knew exactly what he was doing. He’s been doing it for years apparently and he was terrific. We couldn’t be happier and we’re very thrilled with the shower!

We purchased a shower from Bath Fitter over a month ago, but we really had the install a couple of weeks ago. We really only wanted a shower door. We had this card and I wanted to use it because we hadn’t used it. Where we live, I found out that Bath Fitter was the only one that we could use for that bath problem pretty much.

The sales rep is real knowledgeable. He took his time. He explained everything to us. He took his time to get all the measurements. He was a real professional guy. As a matter of fact, I know him from someone at the store that I work at. So I knew him as a customer. And the installation team was a one-man band and he was wonderful. He was professional. He came on time and he did everything like he was supposed to. Left everything clean just like he was told. Overall it was wonderful!

We have had a shower stall installed in our en-suite a few years ago. The base of the shower cracked along the wall. Bath Fitter replaced it but told us our warranty ran out so we had to pay. Once we paid, we were then told that we now have a lifetime warranty! Well, not too long after, the base cracked again in the same spot. This time Bath Fitter replaced the flooring under the stall as well as putting in a new stall. Not two years into the new stall and it has cracked again in the same spot! We have called into Bath Fitter to come and see the cracks and talk about replacing the stall. It has been 4 months and we have not heard from Bath Fitter. Each time we call we are told that someone will call us back and no one does! Very poor customer service and product quality!!

This company did a good job and delivered as expected until something went wrong. The first time I went to use my new tub, my downstairs neighbor was flooded. So, I had to stop showering altogether. Since it was a Sunday, I left messages with several people at this company stating that it was an emergency and I needed them to fix it first thing Monday. I had to take a vacation day to wait for them and they did not bother to show up until 4:00. They promised to fix it the next day - ANOTHER VACATION DAY to accommodate their poor work. That isn't the worst part. Jim, the "manager", decided in a feat of unbelievable misogyny to offer me "a nice dinner on him" and handed me a business card instead of crediting me for the two days and all of the damage they caused. Do not use this business.

The sales rep and the installation team were great. They were neat and clean, and were here on time and explained throughout the day what was going on. The whole experience with them was great. I wanted to get rid of one of those safety tubs that I had in the bathroom. That was my mother’s and it didn’t benefit us. It just wasn’t practical for us. In order to remove it, I wanted it done within a timely manner without so much restoration. Then I heard about Bath Fitter on the internet. I chose them because they’re advertising that they can do it usually in a day or two, the factor that I was looking for because I wanted a product that is able to be installed in a short length of time. And that’s what I wanted. Because I’ve done remodeling myself and it takes over a week to do it and it costs a lot more money.

I purchased the shower stall. It’s been about 3 weeks and this is my first Bath Fitter remodel. The sales rep did very well. They did a great job with explaining the product. As for the installation team, the guy knew what he was doing. He got in there and did his work and it took him about a day and a half to do it. They just did what they said they were going to do. And that’s the main thing with a lot of contracts, they say something and they don’t deliver.

When I got to your booth, there was an older gentleman named Fred. He was rude, gave me no attention and was eating while I was trying to get info. Also had his wife and another visitor in his booth and his wife kept butting in and interrupting. So I decided to go down and speak to a different bath installer at Fairbanks Construction... They were extremely helpful and I have decided to purchase my shower and sink through them. I have never been treated so rudely as I was by your company and rep. Just thought you should know that this rude man and his wife cost your company an $8,000.00 sale and you want to send him to a class to teach him manners and customer service abilities...

We knew someone who hired BathFitter and he had a very good experience with it so we just went with that. We also saw BathFitter’s advertising somewhere.

We figured it all out in July. We did the thing over the tub and changed the shower and everything. It was a quick process once we decided to do it. They came and installed it three weeks ago. The sales rep came in and took an hour and a half to unload everything and tell us all the options, so it was really good. The installation guy was also good. I wasn’t at home during the day, so when I got home, he explained everything and everything that have been done with it. It was a good experience.

Overall, I definitely give them five stars. I have no complaint. I think it was just really positive.

Once the sales person was back from vacation and reviewed the situation, he took care of everything. The results were better than we could have imagined. I believe had he not been away the situation would have been resolved much sooner. But once he was back he had the problem fixed and the results were better than what we had originally chosen and we were not charged anything more. We could not have been happier. A lesson learned for me was not to gripe too soon. If I had realized I could update my review I would have done it sooner. It was only when Consumer Affairs alerted me that my review was out there that I asked how could I update it. Everything was handled back in September of 2013.

    Original Review: Sept. 13, 2013

Bath Fitter was recommended by the person remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. We first contacted them in late July. The 3rd week in August was the first they could work us in. They quoted us $5,000 that included repairing a leak. They would remove the current acrylic tub and wall at the end of the tub and put up a short wall for the walk in. It is now September 13 and they still have not finished. They pushed back the first date 2 times. Once they arrived, they worked for 3 days. The door was wrong, the shower faucet was wrong finish, the hand held was wrong and was put on upside down. We have cold water for hot and hot water for cold. At the top of the shower, there is a one inch open gap in the ceiling. We were told they had ordered the correct door and the shower head and hand held with bar; however so far, we are still waiting and it has been over 2 weeks.

No one has stopped to fix the upside down handle for the water. We requested the sales person stop by or at least call. Nothing. We would never use this company again. Overpriced and lousy work and totally avoid contact. We have been patient but when there is no contact, it seems something has to be very wrong with this company in Erie, PA. We were told they were aware the door was wrong and that the hand held should have been hand held with the bar and shower head. But no one has been back to fix the ceiling or called. Lack of contact is very poor business in my opinion. On the positive side, the workers did provide a shower curtain so we can use the shower while waiting for the door. They were professional but the job is not complete.

Well, when my husband was still alive, you see Bath Fitter commercials. I also had gone to I think the Home and Flower Show, saw the display and picked up a brochure. My husband’s health was getting bad and we were thinking about possibly doing the walk-in shower. But then, he passed away and so we didn’t do it. But then my mother moved in with me and she’s 88. I was thinking I only have one bathroom and I didn’t know how safe it was. So I was thinking for her safety and I’m getting older, too, I was going to call Bath Fitter. I had gone to a craft show and the guy was there. So I signed up for them to call me.

They were fine. I thought they did an excellent job and I’m very satisfied with what I got. I thought it was good. I asked the guy what would be safe as for my mom because I had shower doors. And he said, “Well, it’s really better not to have shower doors.” I asked about getting a walk-in shower but he said that a good steel tub would be more sturdy. And my mom felt that with the grab bars, she could step over the tub and then it wouldn’t be a problem. So they helped us out that way. I’d say it was everything I expected it to be, so it was great.

The only thing that I didn’t like about Bath Fitter was that I thought it was a little more expensive than it should have been but I needed it done in a rush so I wasn’t trying to shop around too much. The other thing was that the tub liner was white but the toilet and the pedestal sink were not as white as the tub liner so it doesn’t really match. Those are the only two things that I really was not entirely happy with.

We had the bath tub installed in January. Their people were fine. If I would need it done, I’d have them again. I think maybe my husband might recommend it to somebody.

Had a great experience with Bath Fitter. I think it was kind of like in the middle of June when we had the installation done. There was a tub liner put in, I guess splash arts, something like wainscoting that comes up maybe four or five feet, new fixtures like shelves for shampoo and whatnot, conditioner, etc. Nothing too crazy. They came in and they got it done as quickly as they could and it seems like they did an excellent job. So no complaints really. It was good. In fact, just coincidentally, my 9-year-old niece, her friend from school’s dad happened to be the guy who installed it.

We used Bath Fitter to convert our modular tub-shower into a shower. We first checked the store in Knoxville and talked to David ** who was extremely helpful and arranged for a representative to call on us. Sales representative Jim ** called on us the following week. He was very knowledgeable and very precise in his measurements. He was very patient in answering our questions; also, he did not attempt to pressure us into purchasing. He helped us pick out exactly what we wanted. Jim spent about two hours with us. Sixteen days later Randy ** arrived at our home at 8:20 AM for our installation (he left at 6:00 PM). He removed our modular unit and installed our new shower in a fine professional manner. He answered all of our questions and explained the use and care of our new shower. Randy cleaned up so well that one could not tell a complete renovation had taken place.

One week later Jim ** called us to make sure that we were completely satisfied, and said that if we had further questions or possibly have a problem to call him. I would actually rate Bath Fitter of Knoxville at 6 Stars if that were possible. Everyone that we dealt with was outstanding, the price was very fair for the work and quality materials used. If anyone in the Knoxville, TN area wants a reputable firm who will install an excellent product call Jim ** and you will purchase a Bath Fitter conversion and will be glad you did. (My rating is from a person who is very demanding and expects the best for his money).

And while I was doing it, I thought I might as well go ahead and get the tub to match. Once I got the tub and the tile in which I totally love, the toilet didn’t match so I had to get a new toilet too.

As far as the interactions with them, it was very great. The salesman was a sweetheart. And the guys that came, the first guy, he was so neat. He offered to clean up what little bit he had and I said "No, leave it. Go." But he was so, "Where's my sweeper?" And the guy that put the toilet in, I couldn't believe he was done so fast. Very, very nice. That whole crew is wonderful.

The installation was okay but we had problems, meaning I had to have a plumber up the next day because by jarring, they removed everything and the pipes and then, I guess, the drain pipes got clogged. And then I bought a new shower rod, put it up, and it would not stay up. So they came up and I had to buy a shower rod from Bath Fitter, put it up. And I couldn’t get any flow out of the main showerhead. And they took that off and said that it was sediment and things like that. Everything worked fine before Bath Fitter. I don’t know if it was just the jarring of the pipes and everything but I had to have that done. And it was just kind of a pain for a while. I would give them a 3.

To make a long story short. I called 11/12 regarding a crack in my tub. I was not able to locate my original paper work at that time. When the service guy came out he told me that unfortunately the Lifetime Warranty had started shortly after I had gotten my tub. I asked him to please call his Manager and see if there was anything they could do since the time frame was so close. He said that my tub could not be fixed but they would replace it and not charge me the labor. The estimate was $1,500. I said I could not afford, so he did nothing.

Fast forward to June 2013. I was going through boxes and found my Bath Fitter paper work. I in fact did have the Life Time Warranty. I called and asked for the Manager (**) and told him my story. I sent a copy of my Life Time Warranty over to him. It took ** from Monday to Thursday to say he was coming out to look at my tub. ** came to my home that Friday, looked at my tub and said he would arrange to have a person repair it. I asked ** why that was not suggested back in November when I was told the only solution would be to replace? I also pointed out that when you stand in the tub, it is squishy from water getting in. ** told me it was tiny little holes in the caulking. After much arguing back and forth, I finally agreed to have the tub repaired.

Fast forward to 3 weeks later. The repair guy came out and tried (2) different methods to repair the tub with no luck. He told me he was going to let the office know that it could not be repaired. On Monday, ** called me and asked me how I like the repair of my tub. I stated that I did not understand why he asked that because it was not repaired. His reply was "Oh that's right, you were not satisfied."

This company discriminates against women and treats us like we are stupid. ** only cares about the bottom line $ and not about customer service. I was happy with the service guy which was the same one that did the replacement. There are other companies that can do remodel jobs out there. Bath Fitter does not really save you any money at the end of the day. Save yourself some frustration and Don't use them!

I had a regular tub/shower arrangement and I wanted a walk-in shower arrangement. I had heard that they did bathrooms at the rectory and I asked them who they used and someone who found out for me says they had used Bath Fitters. I had just a tub. That was installed in early May. The sales rep was very good. I'm not sure that everything went perfectly with the installation. It's an old house from maybe the 1940s and it doesn't have particularly level floors and straight walls and stuff like that. So I was a little concerned about the meeting places where the tub would meet the floor and so on and I was kind of assured that ''Oh, this uses this wonderful cock and you'll never have anymore leakage.'' Because I have had leaking from the upstairs apartment to the downstairs apartment and that was what I was trying to solve.

I had done another apartment with a plumber where I had him clear out the old tub and put in a new tub and put in a new wall and all. I wasn't satisfied with the quality of that work. It just didn't look very great when they were done. Although I must say it did solve the plumbing issue that I was looking to solve in that bathroom, it was expensive and it didn't end up looking nice. Where I saw the Bath Fitter, it looked really good and so I thought that would be the better way to go. I had plenty of time to do it and this was sort of a quick changeover. I had a week to get those guys in and out. So it seemed like the expedient way of doing it.

But I've just been notified by the guy downstairs that the problem still exists. I'm not angry because I really haven't taken further action on it. He's getting water from above and so I need to solve that problem. To be honest, I didn't get the feeling from the expertise of the guy that installed it that Bath Fitter was going to be in a position to resolve that problem and I thought ''Oh, this is now my problem to solve. I tried Bath Fitter and it didn't work and now I got to go do something else.'' I guess I have not given it a lot of thought although I should be working on it because that's not good thing if he's getting water down dripping down from time to time. So I should be working on it and yet I wasn't sure of my next step.

I mean one thing that was sort of troubling to me was in talking to the installer, I didn't have the feeling that there was much of a group of them. It was like three guys did all the installing and I didn't see where there was a team that would sort of- like if you had a problem to fix later on, who would address that issue. I tell you the jury is still out on that one. I didn't solve the problem that I was trying to solve but I haven't told them that yet so I'm not exactly sure.

We had an original bath shower that came with the house when we bought it like 30 years ago, so it's time for a remodel. And then a friend of ours had something done by Bath Fitter, like a tub surround or something, so that's kind of how I thought about phoning them. So in May, we had our first remodel with Bath Fitter. It was a new shower, like the one that was put on top of the old. It was just a small shower.

The lady that came to talk about it and showed us the supplies and stuff was very good. The installer was very good too. I felt that he respected our house, coming in and out. He also cleaned up after. The only thing now is the floor has come away from the old base. A technician came yesterday and they're going to have to cut it out, I think the bottom of the new floor. Another one is making a squishing sound like there's glue or water that's gotten in there. I wasn't happy with that because he didn't know what happened. He just said that they had the technician come and look at it yesterday. I phoned yesterday morning and they came at 2.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the service quality and I like the lifetime warranty. The guy said they have done this kind of repair before. I was kind of wondering about that because now it's sort of a little higher. I'm just wondering how secure it was going to be.

The sales guy was great. I tried to look for him. I told him I would do a commercial for him if he wanted. He's pretty good. And the people that installed it, they knew what they were doing. I have an odd tub in the house. Something would be off in a few inches, when it shouldn't be, so we had to be sort of creative. They did everything on the same day and even the supervisor came out. It was great.

I chose Bath Fitter because I needed to have the job done quickly. I rent my house out, my lake house, so I didn't agree that a day or 2 days that the windows are open. Plus, I think they offered a reasonable price. It was easy and effortless. It doesn't take long to decide what to do, and with good recommendations, I said yes to them.

It was actually my sister who first used Bath Fitter when she had her bathtub done. She had good things to say about them so when I moved here to my place where I'm at now, I chose them for my first remodel. I wanted to change the bathtub to a shower. That was sometime in January or February. The sales representative was knowledgeable and explained the product to me. The installer was a good guy. He was courteous and cleaned up after. I love the product.

This is the second job Bath Fitter actually did for me - the first one was two years ago. The second one this year, they did a bathroom deal that would go all the way around the wall, placed that on the tub. I also had them put liner over my tub. They did a good job with the cutting and installation. The first installation team, I didn't deal with them because they were there all day and I wasn't.

Both Bath Fitter reps I spoke with during that time were very helpful. I was thinking I had the same one both times but this gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to a friend. They've done both jobs and done it really well. It was a very good experience.

I just needed to do my tub over, but I also did the grab bars and the shelves. I was going to just take the tub out and put in a new tub, but then Bath Fitter started talking about the pipes, what they may run into, and the cost and stuff. So they just went ahead and got somebody to come in and they dealt with it. It's been a little over a month since that was done. He explained everything and was very friendly.

I found out later that he's one of their plumbers and it just hit me, so when I got back to Atlanta, I went on a computer and found Bath Fitters. A guy came out. He was really nice and he gave me a price. He did a great job. And because he's done such a good job, when we went back to North Carolina, I had like a seat put in and it's a full shower. I had a seat put in so it's nice to be able to wash your feet, have a place for them. I like the idea that they form everything right outside and that's AMAZING! Actually, we were at the air show last year in Winston and they had a booth out there. And whatever day it was, my wife was talking to him and picked up a card and told him we were interested in redoing our kids' bathrooms. Then we forgot about it for a while, and then we had a small leak under the house that was connected to the bathtub. So we figured that we need to go ahead and get it done. We still have the business card on the refrigerator and we called them up.

Well, we did talk a little bit about it and some of them (other companies), we didn't like the fact that they fitted over existing pieces. Actually, I was at work the day they came over to measure and do everything. She was really impressed with them coming out, what they knew about it, and from what she had wanted because she went on the computer and did like a drawing of what she actually wanted. And they made it even better. So that was really good. Then we were highly impressed about when he came in to install it, he came in, he cut everything out, and he took it out piece by piece. He just totally took everything out and redid everything for us, and that really made a big difference. It was very good! It worked very well.

Nobody called to confirm installation. I took it upon myself to check since I requested time off from work. On the day of the installation, the installer called at 9am to say that he's picking up the shipment from Canada. I sincerely doubt that. I am sure a company does not sit and wait for a tub to be delivered on the day of the delivery. Since it's a standard size and gets cut around and fit/shaped on the premises. Installer put up some fuss over the old popcorn ceiling I had in the bathroom, but after a quick call to the company and my "take it all back" approach, I was able to clear the old ceiling in 5 mins, since it was nothing but dust anyway and came down with a swipe. In all fairness, the installer and his assistant were courteous after the initial bump and were very apologetic the entire day. They were clean, efficient, respectful of my home and could not be nicer or more professional for which I gave them a very generous gratuity.

Visually, the difference in the bathroom is day and night. I was giddy with happiness looking at the new bathtub and walls. It really is very, very nice. In the morning, I called the company to ask them to send the installer back for some very minor adjustments - the soap dish and some other seams had small gaps in the silicone. The installer called me right away, but I was not able to meet him on the day that it was convenient for him. I have not heard from them since. That was 2 months ago to the day. It's okay, I am sure they would love to see me in small claims Court. In hindsight, I would not do it again. Yes, it' clean and new and it's PLASTIC that behaves like plastic. Two days later, the bathtub is groaning and flexing and " kicks back" when you step out of it.

Don't be fooled that it is easy maintenance. The selling point is that it is one piece and unlike grout does not grow mold. It is most certainly not one piece, the wall, tub and ceiling are connected by silicone the very same way grout does. Unlike grout that lasts for years, silicone turns pink from mildew and requires attention on a daily basis, religiously. It remains soft so in order not to have to scrub it, I have to clean it daily. So here is the truth. And the claim that the NY LI based office is the best in the nation is nothing but hot air. It is a proven fact that there are no crooks on Long Island. Bottom line, if you can afford to be a little patient, get a real bathtub and ceramic tiles!

Well, I had had an experience with another company, and I called them out and they showed me what they had to offer. And then I did a survey with Bath Fitters by way of BJ's. One of the associates down at BJ's had some information for Bath Fitters to come by. So then we engaged in a conversation with Bath Fitters, talked about the various bathrooms, and the most comfortable fit for us for perhaps the next five or six years was the work that we got done.

We did a reline of our existing tub. We didn't make any change in size of the deck and the plumbing to hook everything up. And we bought our own sink and they all took care of the towel holders, vanity desk, caulking, sealing, and putting up the new sides and everything. Beautiful job. Just very out there like it was very expensive, but it's a beautiful job. They did an excellent job of cleaning up, making recommendations for future adjustments that I might want to make to my bathroom and giving me ideas of persons that might take care of the things I need. I am very pleased.

We just had one little problem. The towel holder on the wall, one of them, the sealing needs to be resealed because it is cracking and beginning to come loose on the wall. I have also noticed that, I don't know whether the water is staying in my handheld shower sprayer or what is happening there, but this is something I need to address to them anyway. But as far as their customer service, they were willing and able to come out when I called them about some of that work that I felt like needed to be redone. They did a great job in coming out and showing me that if anything else came up, they'd be glad to take care of it pertaining to their installation work. The installers were extremely courteous and kind, very professional, and dressed in an appropriate manner for doing the type of work that they do - both the helper and the lead installer. Well done!

I would give them a 5+, and I have recommended them to two other people. I don't know whether they contacted them.

He did that and we told him what we wanted. He started doing sales pitch and we told him, 'Don't worry about it. Here's what we want.' And so it took him no time at all when he got a price that we mutually agreed upon. And I mean it took all of maybe an hour at the most. Color (ivory marble) was not the same as the sample brought to house. Actual install of that was much deeper in color (very yellowish) which made me change the color for the last/3rd bathroom (clash problem). The install of the first bathroom at the section by the faucets began to bow out (convex in appearance) shortly after the install. The installer came back promptly to fix (by "bracing") but within 2 days, it bowed out again; He came back yesterday (re-glue and re-brace - I think; I wasn't home, my son was) and we will see how that turns out/works. My initial contact with Bath Fitter was a result of a TV commercial I saw in March of 2008. My existing ceramic tile wall was becoming a nuisance. My wife and I tried everything to seal the grout but still were experiencing leaks and mold. The idea of having a "seamless" wall installed seemed like the most logical solution to this never-ending problem. The sales representative came to our home on time and was extremely helpful in explaining not only the Bath Fitter product, but also other methods for trying to fix our problem. Again, it was the seamless wall along with the lifetime guarantee that sealed the deal for us. After signing us up, I began to inquire about employment opportunities with Bath Fitter. The sales representative was again very helpful in describing what his job encompassed.

After the installation and having time to reflect on my entire experience with Bath Fitter, I discussed with my wife my interest in working for this company. Being employed as a salary employee for the majority of my life made it somewhat "scary", to say the least, taking an all commission position. Entering my sixth year as a sales representative, I realize that I made the best choice of my professional career. I know for a fact that I would not have been able to make close to the money I make now. What a wonderful product and company I'm able to present to potential customers everyday!!!

The salesman that came to our house was fine and pleasant UNTIL we said we were not signing up for it that day. Really, who would on the spot decide to do an expensive replacement right then and there? We don't.

At the moment we said we would have to think about it, the salesman became rude and offensive. They would not be sending anyone out again because it cost too much money and his territory was too big for return visits. He attempted to bully us into it, shame us into it and embarrass us into it. Even though we both thought at a point during the demonstration/sales pitch that we would probably get it, we now will NEVER consider using a company that treat potential customers that way.

I got a tub liner from Bath Fitter because ripping out the tub and replacing it was not an option. I bought my house in 2010, and the prior owner had replaced the bathroom tiles around the tub and the tile floor, so those were (and still are) in great condition. However, he did not replace the cast iron tub that has probably been in this house since the 50’s. The tub started getting rust stains, and then the finish started peeling off. I got the tub refinished (total waste of money because that lasted about a month before chipping away).

I decided that a liner like Bath Fitter would be a permanent solution because of the lifetime guarantee. The salesman came and he was nice but offered me a price only if I signed and put a deposit that day. I generally don't respond well to that type of sales pitch, but I knew I had 3 days to cancel so I signed up. Six weeks later, the installer was here on time and was done in about an hour and a half. He left tiny white flakes all over my floor throughout the bathroom and hallway. Whatever, a small annoyance but not a big deal. He definitely was not the first or last contractor in my house that didn't clean after himself. I thought the tub looked great and was very excited to have a nice new tub.

Well, this tub is not easy to clean, it looked filthy in about 3 days and the non-slip coating is difficult to clean. Then exactly one week after the installation, I noticed water dripping down into the first floor ceiling. The ceiling happened to be open due to some hurricane sandy damage, so the plumping is exposed and I could see the drips. It's not a big leak, but if my downstairs ceiling was not open I would not have noticed it. It would have leaked for who knows how long, building up inside the ceiling and eventually soaking the insulation and Sheetrock. Since I can see through the ceiling up into the plumbing and the bottom of the cast iron tub, I can see it leaking at the corner where the liner is not sealed correctly. This is unacceptable after only one week. They are coming to take a look at what the issue is. Hopefully, I can update this review to say they fixed the problem. Regardless of if they fix it, it should not be leaking after only a week.

Then we just happened to be at a home show and we saw Bath Fitter. My husband was interested in that. We talked to someone and got a catalogue and that's how they came out. They put in a tub that has a shower in it 2 months ago. They were very professional and did a great job... one day!

They cleaned the bathroom themselves. And I just wanted to take a look at it and there was one little space. I wanted them to do something and they did that. There was one little issue - they couldn't put in the shower rod 'cause it's kinda odd the way the ceiling goes. The rod that we wanted we couldn't put in, but it was not a problem. So he came back the next day with the proper one to install, and it was fine.

It was like having nothing done that we just went through. Having a master bathroom completely redone is close to a nightmare, but it's been easy and Bath Fitter did a great job!

Out of all the rooms in my house, I never thought I could include the bathroom as a room I'm proud of, but I do now! Thank you, Bath Fitter!

I met Bath Fitter at a trade show in 2008 and was very impressed with their product. My bathroom surround was really bad and I have no idea what the prior owner tried to do to the ceiling above the tub. Bath Fitter came to my rescue and what a difference, it still looks Brand New. Their customer service representative was very personable, honest and informative. The installer was great. He cleaned up so well, it was hard to tell anyone had been there to do any work. I just had a rep. come out today and I'm now having the tub liner done which will make our bathroom complete. I can't thank you enough for the great product you provide.

We decided to remodel because we had a crack in what used to be the tub and shower (it was all in one). At some point we realized it was so old (it was built in 1977 I think), so we decided to look at Bath Fitter. I ran into a fantastic person representing Bath Fitter and a networking group. Originally I was gonna have a contractor, whom we had used before, come in and also give me an estimate. But after we met with Ruthie, I just didn't want him anymore. We knew that Bath Fitter would be the right way to go. She was great 'cause she answered all our questions, was very positive and just a great listener. And then what she said came true...

When the installation team came in about 8 weeks ago, they were amazing. The put in the shower, and I think they were there less time than they said they would be. Both of us were at home that day so they answered any questions, and they pop out our bathroom just to give us an update or show us what the progress was. Even at the end of the installation, I went in to see the whole thing and I said, ''Okay, there's something I bet you don't even have. I have to know how to get it.'' I know he gave me a list of the cleaners that I could use. He said, ''I have it right here.'' It's in a folder with Bath Fitter's label on it, and I was like ''I love you!''

We already told a couple of people about Bath Fitter. It's just a one day solution. If you're busy, which we all are, it's worth paying a little bit more. It was so worth it! They're in and out in a day. It's just great! The best contracting experience I've ever had!

I love my Bath Fitter system and would and have recommended friends, family, and just about everyone I talk to. The Bath Fitter experience is like no other. You don't find too many companies out there today that do what they say they will do and back it up. The installers are very well trained and professional. I had 2 bathrooms done two years ago and yet have I had to call them back. My units look just like the day they were installed. Cleaning is very simple - just spray and wipe. I wish I had more bathrooms to remodel because Bath Fitter makes it such a fun experience and little disruption to your household while giving you the peace of mind that you will be getting the value of what you paid for. Great job, Bath Fitter. Keep up the great work.

I'm 75 so I was probably 70 at the time. It's a good thing I did because 3 weeks ago I got out of the hospital after a 7 months' stay. It's absolutely been helpful having the shower instead.

Everytime I called, I have got exactly what I wanted, almost exactly when I wanted it within a couple of hours. When Bath Fitter say that it's guaranteed for life, it's guaranteed for life 'cause I've had 3 or 4 minor problems since I bought it, and I call them up, tell them what's the problem, they tell me they're gonna be here at such and such a date and such and such a time... they fix it and say goodbye and they're on their way. We purchased the walk-in shower. It has got a seat in it too. It was back in I think around March. The reason why we put the walk-in shower is because my wife has arthritis real bad and she was having trouble getting in and out of the tub so we decided to tear the tub out for a walk-in shower which she loves. If she does want to sit down, she can.

I've seen advertisements in magazines and even on TV. And actually, we did some looking around. We went to Lowe's and Home Depot and looked at what they had. And the reason why we decided to go with Bath Fitter is because the quality was so much better. Actually, as far as companies are concerned, Bath Fitter is the only actual company we dealt with. We wanted to make sure we got a good product and a job well done and that's the way it turned out. Our experience is very good.

The guy that came out and has done the work was very nice. I mean no mess whatsoever after he was done and we were well pleased with the job that was done. As far as the quality and everything, we're really happy with it. It was very pleasant and very professional.

I wanted it because I was getting older and less capable to navigate a bathtub. I got in touch with Bath Fitter and within the day, they were done here and offered me everything that I needed and it was perfect. Installation was a day. I've had no problems and just enjoyed it tremendously since then.

I looked around quite a bit. There are different contractors, but I found most of them subbed out. Companies like Home Depot and others' products were probably the same quality product but they find out their work; they had subcontractors doing this and then maybe a subcontractor doing minor construction that might be necessary to accommodate. When I looked it over, their prices which were pricey, Bath Fitter said they could do the whole job, and they did the whole job for about $2000 less.

2-3 people on my neighborhood (because of what I told them and just asking me of my opinion) in fact installed Bath Fitter. I'm extremely satisfied!

About three to four weeks ago, we installed a tub and shower enclosure. We just saw Bath Fitter in commercials and stuff like that. My dad had got it done before he passed away, and he was happy that's why we decided to go with Bath Fitter. Actually, they were more expensive than everybody else, but we decided to go with them.

I'm very, very disappointed - not at the product. The product was nice, but I paid to have it done which is why I expected more than I thought it was. When they brought it in, after my bathroom was just painted and everything, they had torn the walls up. Two or actually it was three big gouges. Two on the one wall and one on the other wall right in through the sheetrock. I was going to call up and raise holy hell, but my wife said, ''Don't worry about it.'' I'm like, ''No, we paid a lot of money for this.'' They tore the bathroom up and the job that we were offered or the job that we were promised wasn't done. Then the shower nozzle, when you turn the water on, it was supposed to be raised up but it wasn't. They didn't raise that stuff up so I never called. I was just keeping it to myself and I was hoping that someday somebody would call me and let me know.

The salesman was nice. The installer was nice because I wasn't here for most of the day. I got home when he was finishing up. The product itself is a beautiful product. My wife is happy with it, she loved it, and that's her bathroom. I'm not even allowed in it. I have my separate bathroom now. As per the installation and what I was promised, it wasn't anybody's satisfaction. Anybody else would have called up and probably raised holy Cain especially after they put two holes in my wall.

I would recommend them, but I wouldn't recommend the installer because he didn't even tell us he'd tear the walls up. Thank God that we found it. It would be nice if Bath Fitter calls me and asks me. My wife doesn't want to cause a dead stink basically because we wanted my bathroom done next.

Overall experience, I would rate it about a 6 or a 7 only because the product is a very beautiful product. Other than that, I'd probably give it about a 4 or a 5. I would rate them right in the middle.

He was fine other than the fact that he mismeasured and he ordered the wrong sides enclosure, which put our installation off about a week. But then it all got made right. Bath Fitter did order the right size. They did come back. They did install it and we're happy with the product.

My wife dealt exclusively with the installation person; I did not. I think my wife's experience with the installation guy was perfectly fine. No complaints. We're overall very pleased. But I think because of the little mishaps, I probably couldn't give a five. I would probably go with 4 with them. We were certainly disappointed that the original installation schedule was not able to be met, but in the end it was made right. We're very pleased with the final product.

Bath Fitter converted a tub to a shower about a year or nine months ago. I have heard about them on the TV and stuff. Without going for the contractor or redoing the whole thing, I thought it would be slightly cheaper to do the Bath Fitter. It was still expensive, but I guess just convenience.

I had some problems in that bathroom with the walls. There was a tile that was cracked and there was water getting behind the tiles. I don't want to ever have to worry about water getting behind the wall. That was my major concern. Plus, I had this funky window in there. It's like a half a moon shaped window in the shower. I knew that was going to be difficult to form Bath Fitter's product around that window because typically you don't have windows in showers, but this one does. Anyway yes, a great installation. The guy was great, but we had some problems with the amount of caulk he had to use because of that window and because we thought initially that there was absolutely no caulk in the Bath Fitter. But apparently, when you do a tub to shower conversion, the walls and the thing they put in the bottom of the pan have to be caulked. That's the only dissatisfaction. Overall they are professional.

I had a little bit of a funny experience. I live in an older house and I had a cast iron tub (not one of the clawfooted ones but one of the flatter ones in a 1950/1940 house). So it has seen its better days, not to mention the wall and the tile above it. We went over different options, and that opened my mind up for Bath Fitter. I did three estimates with three different companies, basically the same thing. Lowe's is one of them. Home Depot is one of them. Then there was funny company and then Bath Fitter. Bath Fitter sits in $2,000 less than all these other companies. We're talking about Home Depot and Lowe's, and the product was much better. The salesperson was very knowledgeable, helpful and showed me different options from what I was thinking.

The only problem I had was when the tub got here. It was too large for the small bathroom. The step-in was 8 inches wide at the top and it needed to be 4 inches, so we had to wait an extra week for that tub to come in. We didn't load anything. We just reordered it and it came in a week later. The guy was here in one day. He was super nice - a young guy. I was a little shock that he did it by himself just because of the weight of the cast iron tub. It was probably 450 pounds. He's busted it up in pieces and sections and took it out. The job turned out great. We're extremely happy.

We inherited a home, a newer home, so we're preparing this house to sell. And you can't sell a house with an old bathroom. We're preparing the house now. Everything has been done and the bathroom was the last thing. I'm a pretty smart consumer so I definitely shopped at Bath Fitter and it turned out great. As a matter of fact, I'm in here right now looking at it. I love the Moen shower head. I thought that was the first thing I was going to change, but then my wife and I and the kids used the shower head and we really, really like the shower head that was installed in here.

Also, my mother-in-law just bought a condominium. She's remodelling the master bathroom in the condominium so I went over there to help. I pulled out a couple old toilets for her that were real low that she can't sit down under because she's old. She said, ''Hey listen, I'm going to redo that bathroom in the master bath.'' I said, ''Listen, just call Bath Fitter. Just call them. They're in and out in the day.' Somebody gave me a heads up on, I think it was a $100 if I recommend somebody and then they would get a discount too. I'm not sure of that. I'll call them now. This is not a cast iron tub in this new condo over there. This could be a lot easier job.

They are professional and efficient. I'm just a satisfied customer. If I'm going to recommend Bath Fitter to my mother-in-law, that's pretty high up there.

My mother and stepfather are living with me, and because of aging, they couldn't get their legs over the edge of the bath tub. We've been wanting to take the factory out of our bathroom and put something else in there, but we weren't having any luck with the stuff that was needed to do just that. One time, we just happen to be watching TV and the ad for Bath Fitter. We went to their webpage, went over everything, and sent them an email for consultation. We did that Friday or Saturday night, and by Monday night, we already had an appointment.

Our new shower was installed sometime the first part of April. Everything was great and wonderful. The people that came out were super nice, super informative, and professional. They had a bit of trouble with the commode that was sent out since we had one of the taller commodes put in. The one that was sent didn't fit; it was something about the distance between the wall and where the commode sat. It wouldn't work so a new one was hunted down and brought out before the installer left. It was wonderful to see how fast the entire process went.

We chose Bath Fitter for the simple fact that they had exactly what we wanted and what we needed. We haven't been able to find any other company that does it. Why waste time when they have exactly what we want and need? We've already recommended them to our friends; we've been singing their praises left and right.

We've also seen some ads in the paper. We went to Lutherville location and looked at the display and picked out what we wanted. The salesperson happened to live probably 6 or 8 miles from us. She was very good and so we decided we'd go that route. We made the deal, he came and measured. And the installer (a young man by the name of Brad) came and put in a walk in shower 3 or 4 weeks ago. It took approximately 3 days to do it and we were satisfied with the installation. Everything went according to schedule. The people we dealt with were very good and so far so good. I do have a problem though with the salesperson; he lied to me but I did not make an issue of it. It was supposed to be a seamless assembly and it's not seamless. They had to put a seam all away around the top and the sides. So it really was false advertisement, at least an hour application it was. They were supposed to be the best in the industry that's why we went with them. I'm very disappointed with the sales staff but very happy with the quality of the installation.

We were out Christmas shopping in Hanes mall in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bath Fitter had a tub sitting out there. We talked to the guy and he said, 'I tell you what, we'll call you in January.' Then they called and set up an appointment. The guy's name escaped me but he was very nice, very informative and I was pleased with the presentation and everything.

We set up that we needed them to come out and put it in when we got back from business trip that we had to take. They came in on Thursday and Friday and we're done. It was six months ago and I did a tub/shower combination. The gentleman that came out and installed it was very nice, very patient (because I know that the inspector was driving him crazy) and he was very good. When he left, everything was nice and clean. We did have to have him come out and tighten something up. My granddaughter and a friend of hers were in the bathroom and the spigot was leaking where the water wasn't supposed to be coming out. We had him come up to tighten that up. Other than that, we haven't had any problems at all.

I had thought about putting in a walk-in tub because I have an 86 year-old-woman who lives here with me and I had checked on prices and stuff and that was ridiculous. I had talked to one of the other companies and they were outrageous also. We wanted to do something with the bathroom but hadn't quite decided what we want to do, and we do plan when we have this one paid off to do our other bathroom.

I've already recommended Bath Fitter to people. I think it was very nice. It was so easy, no stress involved. People like me don't need even more stress.

The initial experience was good; however, they installed the wrong molding on the shower door 2 times over the past 2 months whereby the shower still leaks. We have tried several times to contact them to correct this problem with no response. During the second attempt to fix the problem, the installer told us that he mentioned to the salesperson that the molding was not the correct molding to use for our particular shower door. However, they installed it anyway.

Sales/Customer Service is the worst I've seen. Once they get your check, they do not follow-up with any subsequent issues. I highly recommend not using Bath Fitter. We happened to be at BJ's and there was a person there who was standing as you go out. So we stopped to talk to them and they sent a person over who gave us some information and basically offered replacement. It was a very good price. We decided to go with it and had the installation.

The person who did the installation was extremely nice. He was also very efficient and very clean. He cleaned up everything after the installation was done. It was absolutely beautiful and no problems at all. Everything's cleaned very well and everything was on time.

Beware - if it sounds too good to be true, it absolutely is not, good that is! In the past month, we had a reputable plumber and carpenter tear out Bath Fitter’s product that had leaked causing mildew and rot. We found there was no lip on the tub to prevent leaking down all areas of the tub insert. We found that in order to hold the side walls, a thin piece of plywood had been attached to the studs and then double-sided sticky tape was used to adhere the shower walls to this piece of plywood. Consequently, once the tape became damp, it no longer held anything so the walls became loose.

We found that instead of any good caulking being used, everything was stuck on with double-sided black tape, even the shelves at the wall corners. They didn't fall off but the caulking that was used around them became porous and unsightly. Water leaked in between the two tubs and at least once a week had to be drained out. When the tubs were removed, we found more double-sided black tape used to attach the Bath Fitter tub to the original; and again, once it was wet, it no longer held. At a cost of approximately $2,200, we now have a new subfloor, new tub with shower surround that is securely and properly installed.

If you are thinking of using Bath Fitter, don’t believe all the ‘good’ reviews you read. For every good one, there is probably at least one if not more ‘bad’ reviews that you will most likely never see. We absolutely do not recommend this product. Were we to guess, you can most likely have a reliably and properly installed replacement tub and surround (new tub from Home Depot or Lowe’s, paying a plumber and carpenter if necessary) for close to the same amount of money or less than Bath Fitter.

Don’t be fooled by their lifetime warranty. You will most likely need to call them on it and be told it isn't a manufacturing defect so it isn't their fault, and you’re stuck with it or paying more like we had to. We have heard of others who had this same problem with no satisfactory results from Bath Fitter. We did not expect compensation for having Bath Fitter’s product replaced, but the courtesy of a letter of acknowledgement would have been appreciated; but we received no response to our letter thus this review posting.

I have done all the other upgrades in my house and I had already checked into doing different things in the bathroom, but they easily would have taken my bathroom out of commission for a while because I only have one bathroom. I looked into sealing the bathtub and they weren't able to do that because of how close the cabinet was to it. I had a pink tile on there. It was so like 1935. Then I went to a Pet Expo in February. There was a saleswoman there that was very helpful and offered me coupon so I started thinking about it. I had a bid on it before but I thought it was closer to Bath Fitter. I had both of them do a bid probably ten years ago but just because I got the coupons and saw the finished product, it was just time in my life to do it.

That information passed on to the salesman who also lives in my neighborhood. Then I purchased the insert for the bathtub and the wall that covers the tiles from Bath Fitter about a month to a month and a half ago I think. Everybody was very nice and professional and helpful and the guy that installed it, Travis, was neat and tidy and a perfectionist. I'm very happy with the whole thing. It's a nice product.

I've showed it to a number of people in the neighborhood, but no one follows through on it because it's an expensive undertaking so people have to be ready for it. But although it's expensive, I feel like it's worth it because the guarantee comes with it as long as I live in the house. It was positive in every dealing, positive with all the people involved. '

I had a stand up shower done probably last November. We liked that and we decided to do the second one this past week, which was done with a built-in seat because my wife's disabled.

I had no problem on the first one. The second one, the salesman came out and I called the office. Then the man called and said he would check his schedule and check about coming back. After that third week, I hadn't heard from him so I called the collection bill office and told them and they said he'd been in and out of the hospital and they would get someone else call me. Another man called me and he told me he'll get back to me. I never heard so I called and got the manager's name and complained to him about it. He had a salesman come out and said, 'Okay, I'll come out here and do the measurements and everything.' After I finally got it coordinated and had somebody come out, the person who installed the second shower was the same one that did the first one. He took his time. He wanted to check to make sure. He asked us. I would give him a very good rating.

We heard about Bath Fitter when we saw the displays at the Columbia County Fair last November and we asked more details, got the lady's card and everything and we called them and they'd come out and that's the first one. We were just impressed with what we saw at the fair.

We have a mobile home - an old one. My father, who just recently passed in December, had contracted Agent Orange so we had to remodel the bathroom for him to be able to get in and out. And the other bathroom was just getting too small for our household. The bathrooms have been there since we bought the house. My father had been working around and he had to shop around. One of the bathrooms was actually to be done through the VA, and Bath Fitter had the best pricing and the best estimate. They came within what we wanted because the VA would do one bathroom, but nobody would do the second bathroom. They were the first one to say they can do both bathrooms, where the charge for the VA for the one bathroom had to be good. Then Bath Fitter gave my father an excellent deal. He got two bathrooms done for less than $5000.

One bathroom was done right before Christmas. The problems that they had to fix, that was something that I don't think they realized. The thing is, they say they can do them in one day. The guy had to take a little extra time so it actually took him two days. So he wasn't able to finish everything in one day. But as far as our experience, so far we are satisfied. Then the other bathroom was just put in in January. We were satisfied, we were happy. But there was a problem with the caulking. And about a couple of weeks ago, the screw was coming out. Bath Fitter came back to fix the problems. They didn't charge for them to come out and fix it. The problems we don't think that should've happened, but they did take care of it. The guy came out yesterday and fixed everything. I actually talked with the man. Very professional.

He was actually on time. He called because he knows we have dogs and everything. So he called to let us know what time he was coming and the time that he said he would be there, he was actually there. He gave us a 15-minute window and he was there within that 15-minute window. And everything was fixed in a very timely manner. We would still recommend them to a family member or a friend. We'd recommend them for business. They really are honest with the work. The one guy that came out here and did the bathrooms is the guy that did the one bathroom. We asked for the same gentleman to come out and do the work, and they sent the same person. Everything that they promise you, they would do.

We were already having a lot of issues in our bathroom so we decided it was time to remodel. Trying to keep the tiles clean was difficult and there was a leak in between the grouting; the water was leaking to the basement. Last August, we purchased a tub overlay and two shelves from Bath Fitter. We couldn't afford a full-fledged remodel so we decided to go with something that will be easy to clean and help us remove the water from the leak.

We were really impressed with our salesman. He was not pushy, which was something we appreciated. He offered his suggestions, like the time I was trying to decide whether to go with a white or a cream-colored tub. He pointed out that my toilet seat and countertop were all white, and he just didn't want me to be unhappy if it doesn't look right. And since we also had some tiles in the bathroom that were colored yellow and blue, I finally decided that white would probably be a better color.

Another company came out to check on things. And like other companies, they sometimes have negative things to say about other products. So we called our salesman with additional questions, and he was happy to honestly answer them. We were very pleased with him and that's one of the reasons why we chose Bath Fitter, other than the product itself. He was unlike the other salesman who came out to look at things and offered similar products with little difference in price. He was very pushy so we were completely turned off.

My husband was pleased on the day of installation. The installer did a good job. He had a lot to do and even put the green board up because there were some parts/pieces missing from the wall where the water leaked in the past. He worked a full day and probably didn't leave until about 5 or so, and we did not hear him complain. I have already recommended Bath Fitter and some of my friends have already decided to go with them. They're very good and thorough with their work and are even appreciative of the sale they've gotten from us. We got the thank you's and things like that that we wouldn't even think of.

My bathroom had a leak in the shower floor which was ceramic. After many attempts, people coming in trying to fix it, my husband said, 'Forget it, we're going with Bath Fitter because it's one piece and it should alleviate the ceramic tile leakage.' We just saw their ads in the area, made a call, and then got a quote. I had a portion of my bathroom remodelled less than a year ago, and then the rest of it in January. I got a new shower and also a grab bar. It was a really good experience all the way around. The installer was fabulous. He did a really good job.

I was extremely pleased with their work four years ago when I did the whole tub and shower stall, so I decided to purchase a new shower from Bath Fitter again just over a month ago. I also had a corner shelf put in for the soaps and body washes. The age of my current shower made me decide it was time to remodel. The sales team that came to my house was fantastic and the gentleman that came to install it was a complete professional. He answered any questions I had. They were very thorough and easy to work with. Fineliness to everything.

We've been thinking of remodeling for quite some time now. We noticed that a crack was starting on our original tub, which was put in when the house was built back in the 70's. It was also starting to form pits in a couple of places and our walls were also caving in. Apparently, there was water leakage behind it and there was no way of getting in to see what was wrong. Unfortunately, we didn't have a little cubby that leads to the plumbing like most people do. Then we saw Bath Fitter when we were out as a family at Sam's. There was a guy there who had a display up. We talked to him and asked how long it would take and how much it was going to cost. He told us he would come down, take some measurements and give us an estimate. I think what sold us to Bath Fitter were the seamless walls; you don't have to worry about water getting in because it has no seams. Also, the salesman that came to our house was fantastic. He held nothing back. He had the correct answers for any questions we had, and it was a pleasant experience. I give him a lot of credit. I know they do a lot of training.

So a little over 6 months ago, we decided to purchase a tub from Bath Fitter, along with a towel rack and a three-tier corner shelf. The guy that came to install them was great. He showed up on time, and he did what he needed to do. He cleaned up everything that he had done. There was no mess afterwards. There was nothing that we had to do for it, except not to use the shower for a couple of days, but that was fine. I love that the tub is very easy to clean. Sometimes, we use Windex to clean it after every shower.

Overall, everything was really fantastic. We wouldn't trade it in for the world. The only complaint we have would be regarding the unreturned call we made a couple of days after our tub was installed. The installer left something behind, a sweatshirt, and we called Bath Fitter when we noticed it the following day. We never got a return call at least to tell us either to forget about it, it's alright, wash it, have fun with it, or whatever. We don't know if our phone call just got lost in the shuffle thing or whatever. I was trying to get a hold of them, and it's just as if they ignored me. I never really followed through either; maybe part of it is my fault. But other than that, everything else went really great.

I chose Bath Fitter because I thought it was a good way to remodel my old bathroom, which was not looking nice anymore, without having to spend $20,000 for a full remodel. About a year and a half ago, I purchased a shower from them along with a soap dispenser. It was a great experience. I ordered it and it was done in one day. I was very happy with it. I'd give it 100%. Excellent.

I got a Bath Fitter flyer in the mail and thought that they were interesting. They were guaranteeing me a tub that would last more than the years I lived in my home. My own tub had a crack in it since it's pretty old so I figured it needed to be replaced. Bath Fitter explained everything to me, and I thought they were a qualified place to get a good tub from. So about 4 or 5 months ago, just right after Christmas, I purchased a tub and shower combination from them. I didn't get any other finishing touches except the shelves that came built-in with it. The guy that came over to install it was very neat and did the work in the time I was told it would be done - in a day. He had a problem that concerned him a little but he figured it out. He was also telling me what he would do before doing it. It was an excellent experience, and it was good for me. I would recommend them to anybody.

We ordered a shower stall. The rep measured the old one several times before putting in the order. We were told 4-6 weeks before we would have it in. 8 weeks later, we received a call to schedule install. 4 weeks later, the new shower stall was installed. We had completely removed the old stall and the entire bathroom was renovated so the new stall had nothing in the room so that the work people could easily install. We used the new stall and looking at it, you didn't realize that the stall was much smaller than the old one. If you bent over, the door flew open.

When we complained, we were told they would get back to us, and they were looking into it. This started in April 2011 and the larger stall wasn't installed until December 2011. However, we had to accept a different model since the one we wanted was not available in the larger size. The model we had to take was the one I told them I didn't want but was forced to take since they already had my money and my bathroom was not usable with the small shower.

I requested credit for all time they took to resolve even though it wasn't with the right stall and we have no idea if this other stall was a cheaper one than the one we ordered. Their attitude was that they would offer a small credit and we could take it or leave it. They wanted us to sign that we wouldn't tell anyone about this; we refused to sign anything.

How can this company advertise one day install when this is how they operate? I contacted the AG's office but they couldn't do anything. I was told to take them to court. I would have put in this complaint last year but due to family illness, it wasn't possible. This was with the Bath Fitter out of Woburn, MA. I have gone to the Home Show in Salem, NH and thought they were a reputable firm - they're not.

They were professional but personable. Everything was explained clearly, including what to expect. The installation went smoothly, even though we were replacing a very old bath tub, wall tile and drain problems. The installer took extreme care when transporting the material (upstairs) and wasted no time transforming the old outdated bathroom into a convenient and visually pleasing place. I would certainly recommend Bath Fitters. It was worth the cost!

It's been two or three months now since Bath Fitter installed a tub with a shower in it and the surround that goes on the wall, plus a corner shelf unit. My wife said our old bathroom was ugly, and it was. It was very stained no matter what we did (an atomic bomb when you got that thing). Anyway, it was time.

I had heard good things about BathFitter. At the time I was doing some remodeling in other parts of the house, I figured, well, let me talk to my brother because he had his bathroom done by them. He was very satisfied with it. Aside from him, there was one or two other people I had talked to and they said they had done the same thing. Bath Fitter also advertised the most, so they were the best/well known to me. I mean there are other people out there that do that type of work, but when you see Bath Fitter's advertisement, it sticks in your head compared to maybe one of another company.

The installation took two days, but only because it was raining the day that they started. And it wasn't supposed to rain that day, but it did. And the man (I can't remember his name) was very apologetic about it. He told me the reason why he couldn't put the tub liner in (the replacement part) was because it has to sit out for a while and if it shut out when it'd gotten the rain, it would get completely warped and it wouldn't fit and it would be just a terrible thing.

He said to me, 'Would you please mind if I come back tomorrow? When I go back to the shop this afternoon, I will get it formed, get it molded and fitted and everything. Tomorrow when I come back, I'll just have to glue it in.' He said it should be an hour, or an hour and a half. I said, 'No problem. Just do what you need to do and make sure it comes out right.' When he came back, he had the tub and he put it in there and it just makes it look like it's a whole brand new bathroom. I mean it looks like it's 10 hundred thousand percent better!

My wife and I are extremely satisfied / ecstatic with it and already told a couple of people about it. Outstanding.

Bath Fitter canceled the appointment when I said he would not be there. Too bad because it so happens I make 100% of the money and 100% of the financial decisions in the family. I don't need their special financing package and I was ready to get it done! It's clear they are only interested in the sale, not the customer. We moved in this house this year. This house was built in 1960 and it still had the original bathtub. It was never really a shower, so we wanted to convert it to a bathtub/shower combo. Also, it was pink, which my husband hates. So we were thinking of either painting it, but then there was no wall - there was just wallpaper... Then we saw Bath Fitter's demonstration at the Iowa State Fair.

The person demonstrating it didn't do it at my area, so we called someone local. Or, I think we went online and they sent someone locally to do it. We were going to do either BathFitter or ReBath, but Bath Fitter gave us an estimate first. So in November, we ordered a new bathtub plus the tub liner and the walls that go on it and the one shelf that came with the package. The lady came in, told us about it, and did a really good job.

The installation was great. By the time it was done, my husband came home from work, so the installer was able to tell both of us about how to clean it and all that stuff. A few facts that I appreciated, any time they came out, their car would say BathFitter. You knew who it was. I really appreciated the entire thing. It was good. I would definitely do it again or I would definitely recommend it. If we had another bathtub that needed replacing, we would definitely go with Bath Fitter.

So we signed up to have a salesperson come out and give us the old sales pitch; this was in August. He came out and gave us the dog and pony show which was fine. We found that we could replace our 1960s tub that when you used the shower, the tub faucet still poured out water. It was supposed to be a two-day process. On the first day, a plumber came and replaced the old faucets and any piping that needed to be replaced and put up the new wall board which went very well and was done in just a few hours.

On the second day, they showed up and started the process of getting the old tub out and were supposed to put in the new tub and finish the walls and repair some damage they did, in the process, only to find the new tub did not fit. Remember the tubs and wall are built custom by Bath Fitter. Well, the original sales guy measured totally wrong and the tub was not going to fit as the new tub was too big. Okay, I understand mistakes happen. My dad taught me to measure twice, cut once.

I guess Bath Fitter has not heard that yet. So here is where it gets fun. The sales guy was not taking any blame for his mistake and blamed it all on the installer. They were literally screaming and cussing at each other in my house. I thought I was going to have to break up a fight. Bath Fitter or the original sales guy were no help other than making us feel like it was our fault that they screwed up. Lucky for us, though, the installer was a really nice guy and if it were not for him, I think we would still have a half finished tub.

The arguing and bickering lasted until late September/early October when it was finally decided that the installer was to go to Menards and buy the cheapest tub that would fit in its place. "They were sick of us calling trying to find out what was going on," a direct quote from the sales guy, but the company was never in communication with us. We had to call them. From August to late September, we had a half finished tub, a missing part of our wall that they had to tear out and we don't even have a Bath Fitter tub. Yet, they still charged us the same price. We were never given an apology or offered any type of discount from the company. I would never recommend this crummy company to anyone. I laugh when I see them doing their sales pitch at trade shows. Stay away from this company.

About 6 or 7 months ago, we saw Bath Fitter at a local mall and what they offered looked wonderful. The thought of a liner appealed to me since we didn't want to redo the entire bathroom. They were also offering a guarantee on the plumbing behind the wall. I believe it was a lifetime guarantee, which was a huge selling point for me. I talked to the sales guy on the spot and we scheduled something out. I ended up purchasing a tub, a shower and some shelves from them. We decided to remodel because our bathroom is already outdated. We initially had some work done on the shower so all the old tiles were busted open in order to get the fixtures out. There was no way we could have matched the old tiles so it seemed like a great option to fit everything with what Bath Fitter would do for us.

I was thrilled that it only took them a day to complete everything. We had some questions on the day of installation and they were able to accommodate and address our concerns. My handicapped mother uses the shower more frequently than anyone else in the house, and because she has swollen feet, she can't grip and still finds the floor slippery despite the textured bottom. They came out and put in a more gritty finish to ensure that she doesn't run into any accident. They also replaced some crooked cracks with no problems. It was great and it looked really pretty.
