I called to make an appointment for a technician to come to my house to give me a price for a stall shower replacement. The call center person would not even make an appointment unless my husband was present! I explained that I was paying for the repairs and my husband was not needed. He replied that my husband was needed in case there was a question on financing inferring that I couldn't possibly understand financing! After asking for a supervisor, I was told the same thing! Outrageous! I told them it was discriminatory and insulting to think I couldn't handle this on my own, but they wouldn't budge. I would advise all the ladies out there to boycott Bath Fitters unless you have a husband who can handle it for you. They obviously think women can't handle repairs and will only deal with men.

I ordered a tub insert and tile surround, and we got the tile finish (Italian marble) from Bath Fitter. I had my bathroom remodeled back in 2009 because my tile wall was falling apart. When the guy from Bath Fitter came, they removed the tiles and found that the wall behind it was soaked and moldy. While waiting for them to get the parts that they needed, which was approximately a 3-week wait, I tried to dry the wet wall by putting a fan in front of it. I also placed some plastic sheets on the wall so that we wouldn't add any more water to it whenever we take a shower. I actually like the guy they sent over to do the installation. I had no problems interacting with them and they answered all my questions. I even asked the guy if I could watch him repair the walls since I couldn't imagine how they were going to fix it. I watched almost the entire day. They installed the Italian marble tiles I ordered and it was beautiful; it still looks like brand new today.

I can't say a negative thing about them, I really can't. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I actually recommended Bath Fitter to my sister-in-law who also had a problem with her bathroom that was falling apart. Prior to Bath Fitter, she hired a tile contractor, actually a plumber in the area. When I found out how much they were going to charge her, I talked her into cancelling it and consider going with Bath Fitter. I showed her Bath Fitter online and taught her how to build her own set-up on the computer, even up to the point of putting in faucets and soap dispensers. She called them and they came over. They had the color and the kind of tile she wanted, and they even convinced her to put up a shower stall. She got all of this for approximately $4,500 cheaper than what the tile contractor was going to charge her.

Bath Fitter can do everything in one day - they come in the morning and they're done in the late afternoon or early evening. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience with Bath Fitter. I love them.

I am an old lady, and I need something to hang on to when I get out of the bath tub. So, I ordered a tub liner and a grab bar from Bath Fitter about a month ago. Ordering the service was fairly easy and I was able to pick out the materials I needed. I didn't think of calling any other company other than Bath Fitter since I hear about them all the time and even see them on magazines. The guy that came to install them came and did his work real good and real fast. He was out and gone in just a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend them to a friend because of the very good service and experience I received from them.

We had signed a contract with the expectation of 30-day install and 1-day convenience. Due to change in the contract, salesman needed new contract signed before install. We ended up having to wait over 3 months for installation. Finally, on the 3rd month, salesman decided to mail the new contract to be signed and within a week was able to get it installed but after 3 months of waiting and putting down 30% at signing.

Also, a big draw/sale for us was convenience of 1 day install. We had confirmed this 2 times and at the time of scheduling install again with salesman. On the day of install, installer had to tell us it would be 2 days. We're satisfied with the finished product but it's not worth the money, 3 months of hassle/going back and forth with the salesman.

I just hated my tub and didn't want to reach the entire bathroom so I just decided to remodel. I thought that was a good way to go. I got the shower and tub-like combo. I chose Bath Fitter because I have done research on other things and just felt it was the right way to go. I liked the feedback. I've looked at the Home Depot, and Bath Fitter just seemed like they had more options. My tub isn't previously painted. So I didn't want to go through that scenario again, because it obviously didn't hold up.

The installer was outstanding. He was polite and did an incredible job. I have done some research online and people have talked about the 'glue came off' and this and that; but so far mine has held up beautifully. It has maintained its color, everything, and is easy to clean. I haven't had to deal with any dissatisfaction. I do think that their prices are expensive. I will say this, he did forget to block out my credit card information when they sought my building permit. That was a little worrisome. It came up at the time and the city was kind of alarmed to see it. That was just the thing so far. But I thought overall it was a very, very positive experience and one that I would recommend.

Thanks for charging me an extra $1,500. When they had a concern my bathroom floor should be replaced, I stated I would replace it before the tub is replaced. The salesman said his workmen would take care of it for an extra $1,500 including an upgrade of the tub. The salesman only meant under the tub but did not say it only included under the tub. Now, I have to spend $1,000 to replace the floor. The guy who will do the work says he could have done my whole bathroom for the amount they charged me for the tub if only the salesman would have let me replace the floor myself instead of upping the price.

We didn't really get any other estimates. I asked around, talked to some people, and I had several friends who had used them in the past, and they were very happy with them. So, I decided to go that route. We got the bathtub from Bath Fitter and had it installed back in October or November if I remember. The installer's work was very good. He cleaned up and I didn't have to do a thing. The sales person was very good and their office was excellent. Nothing actually stood out, but I have no complaints whatsoever. And I did it the second time. Tomorrow they're installing a shower. The first one was cosmetic and this one now has a crack on the floor of the shower installed so we had to change it. Great work. I am very satisfied more than any other.

I just happen to see Bath Fitter in an advertisement and called. They had a salesperson come out and explain things fresh, showed us what they had and so I decided to go with them. We got the shower. We had the old one painted about 5 years ago, and it was starting to chip and crack so we figured we put in something more permanent.

From start to finish, including the person who answered the phone from the first call, everyone made us feel comfortable. I felt they were being honest, offered good price, negotiated a little bit and came in when they said they were going to do it. I thought it was pretty professional and we were very satisfied. Obviously, we would have freaked at a little less money, but you know, that's the way things are nowadays. We're happy with it. They finished the job and we've had no problem since. So a very, very positive experience in overall.

Our old shower had a problem with the drain and it has been there for 15 years so we decided to get a new one a month ago. We added an extra shelf and a bar, something to hold on to. There was no particular reason why we chose Bath Fitter; I came up over an ad on the internet. There aren't a whole lot of companies that specialize in items like that. So it was just a matter of finding one that was local instead of a contractor.

The ordering process for Bath Fitter seemed pretty simple. I requested via the internet, phone call, and someone stopped over and showed us all the various products and did the measuring. My wife liked it, and after that it was just a matter of scheduling an appointment. It was all done in 1 day. I spoke to the installer, Phil - he was very pleasant and cleaned up after himself. Overall, I would say that Bath Fitter was very easy and very fast.

I liked their choices. I liked that they were close by to where we live. And I felt that their pricing was definitely within the budget that we had. On the day of the installation, we were very impressed with how quickly it was done. I also had a positive experience dealing with the salesman who came out to the house - and then we also were able to interact with him again in the showroom. He's very patient. We just had it installed a short time ago. I had a shower put in. We bought the pole (or what did you call it?), some shelves and all that. We had that put in as well. This was all that we got. I mean it was just from the picture in the magazine. It had that shower part, and we had the seat part put in, but that was the whole idea in the picture.

We'd known it was time to remodel. We just hadn't been able to do it. But then we went to the home and garden show and we saw it and we liked what we saw. I feel it was at the Cabarrus Arena. I believe that's where it was, at which we sent their card. Then Bath Fitter called us. They called us back and at that time we said, 'Ok, you can come out now, but it'll probably take a year before we can do it.' And when the guy came out, before I knew it, I was sold. I said, 'I want it right now.'

We really could not have been more pleased in everything that they did. We we're very, very pleased. Everything went great. We we're so pleased with the people and how it's done and about what they put in. And they were so neat. It's really, really nice. I'm proud of it. Very, very, very good. I would highly recommend Bath Fitter. And if we wanted anything else done, I would certainly call them. We're just very happy.

What Bath Fitter did was they converted my garden tub to a 7-ft. shower less than a month ago. In the corner I had shelves put in, with the bottom shelf being so you could pick up a foot and shave your leg, and two grab bars. I thought it would be much safer for me to do this because of my age and it was too hard to get up on the step and get up over into the bathtub I had to take a shower; and I had press on in holds, but they don't really work very good; and I got a coupon in the mail that said, 'Oh, you're getting so much.'' I know people who have used them before and they were very happy, and it was at the time I guess I was thinking about doing it and I happened to get a coupon in the mail. So I thought why procrastinate, why not call them before I slide in my tub? So I called them and they came within a day.

The sales team - he was very, very good. He came and we sat down. He showed us all kind of products that he had and what we could get, to pick some; and the approximate course that it would be until I decided what I wanted. Then he called afterwards and asked if everything was all right, and besides that, he even sent a thank you note to me. Then they came the following week.

We were gonna do one thing and I really didn't want to rip off the tile in the rest of my bathroom, so the installers said, 'Well, how about this?' And right in the middle of it, he was able to make a change for me and it worked out really fine. I think it was fantastic. They said they're gonna be done in a day and a half, and they were. I was very, very happy with it. They were in, they cleaned up all the mess, and they were out of here. I just had to wait 24 hours for all the caulking to dry and I could get into my shower and it was wonderful. I would recommend Bath Fitter.

The house was falling down. We had planned on selling it and going travelling and stuff, but we had a problem with the foundation. And the insurance wouldn't cover it... We had to start over again. We were able to get a home line of equity credit and basically just started over. We did a shower stall and had a seat put in about two months ago. It was finished within a day, like they said it would be. They did excellent work. The people that came out were extremely nice. We're so happy with the bathroom, we're like, ''Why didn't we do this 30 years ago?'' It was expensive, but it seems to be worth every penny.

One of the factors we chose Bath Fitter was the fact that it would be done in a day. The other factors were we liked what we saw. We came out and they explained to us what was available. We made our choices and looked at the materials. It's easy and perfectly acceptable.

The reason why we went with Bath Fitter was because they were very easy to clean and maintain. My wife says she absolutely loves them, actually. I usually see them on TV or got an ad in the mail, one of the two. We were here when the installers were here. Everything was professional; everything was done on time. They made sure that nothing else got damaged and didn't track anything through the house and all that kinda good stuff. They also did the demolition of the old showers. It's a great product. Everything was very satisfactory. My experience is exactly as they advertised it; good and positive experience with a good and positive product.

My wife made an appointment for Bath Fitter to meet her at a condo she rents out in order to get an estimate on a tub. (The present one is cast iron and she wants it fitted with a covering because it's been painted and looks awful but replacement is not practical.) The day before the appointment, Bath Fitter called (my wife wasn't home) to say both of us needed to be there. I had other obligations and said I couldn't be there, and they said we couldn't get the estimate without both of us present. I explained that she is the one who makes all of the decisions about the rental property, but that didn't matter to them.

I agreed to be there so as to not cancel the appointment, knowing how important this was to my wife. I was already getting really bad vibes about these people, since they were using all sorts of excuses for why we both had to be there (they even went so far as to say it wasn't really up to the company), and my wife said she didn't want me to waste my time. So I called them back to say we couldn't both be there. After reading some of the posts on here about the way women had been treated, I decided to tell them that I could be there but not my wife. The guy on the phone said we both had to be there.

So in their defense, I have to say they were just as unreasonable when it was a matter of the wife not being there as it was in the case of the husband not being present; they are equal-opportunity time-wasters. In fact, they are clearly focused on their sales pitch more than anything. It was as if they were going to sell us a timeshare rather than a bathtub makeover. Anyway, when I said we couldn't both be there, the guy asked when would be more convenient, and I responded that it never would be, that we weren't trying to set up an appointment for both of us. That's when the guy lost all interest and said good-bye. I'm glad we don't have to deal with them again, but I still feel dirty having spent so much time arguing with them over the phone. We will look for a contractor who respects us and who takes pride in his or her ability to address our remodeling needs. Good riddance, Bath Fitter!

It was the original bathtub and I had this rust occurring and could never get it out. And I know when we go to resell the house, we would remodel anyway. From the get go, the salesman that came to give us a free estimate was exceptional and the guy that installed it was. However, after about a month after they installed it, the drain started filling up, like it was clogged up. I just thought it was time to get the hair out so I had somebody come out. There was a bunch of silicone stuff stuck in there. They pulled that out, showed me the correct way to do the drain and stuff like that. They gave me a paper on cleaning products to use and not use, and I like that. So, it went really well. When I had the trouble, I called Bath Fitter and they came out. And then the sales guy that came for the first visit came like it was in a couple of months and he asked how everything was and took pictures in the bathroom and such.

I saw their big ad with a coupon in our Reach Magazine and I just thought, well okay, we'll get a couple of estimates. He came out. My husband and I sat with him at the kitchen table and he showed us the estimate. And I guess, we just thought, okay, that's lower than what we thought it would be, and we decided not to go with another estimate. So, we went with Bath Fitter simply because that's all they do. They're exceptional. There's nothing negative really.

We're getting ready to sell the house in about three or four or five years, but bathrooms are the one thing people want to have updated, looking good and it's so nice this way. So, we hired Bath Fitter to install a bathtub, and the wall is going around three sides and on up to the ceiling. We also added a grab bar and shelves for soap and stuff. It's sort of a complete unit and boy, it looks so much better. They're the only ones that do this type of thing. I did check on people who do home repair and stuff and that type and they say, 'It will cost you about $10,000 because we have to take out the entire old bathtub, rip it out and then we got to re-do the surfacing and then we got to go in and get a new one put in.' This comes in and this was for maybe I think $4,000 in all. Way less and much better and easier to do and it will last nicely. We didn't have to tear out anything.

The installation was 3 months ago. They came over and they measured everything, the size of the tub that would fit there and the width and the length and all the other dimensions. They took lots and lots of measurements. And then we have to wait for I'd say about two or three months because everything is custom done. And then when they brought the unit, they had two guys come and the bathtub was sort of one unit and the rest was the other one. Then they had a plumber come in and that was nice. The plumber knew what to do to take the existing plumbing and just adjust a little bit so that it came out what it's supposed to. Everything was finished within the one day, a long day but they were done by about 5-5:30 in the afternoon. Then another guy, he was doing everything. Once I saw it, it was seamless. It looked as though it had just all been one complete unit and the molding. Nicely done. Highly favorable.

I weigh 300 lbs and I couldn't lift up my leg over the tub anymore. I had a shoulder surgery replacement on November 3rd 2011. And there's no way that I could do the tub anymore and even the shower rather, because I had to reach way up to my shower head. I said forget it. It was a big health reason. So, I purchased the walk-in shower with the glass door from Bath Fitter, and you only have to step up maybe an inch. I had it done 3 years ago. I love it. The only thing I didn't like is I had to wait a long, long time for the correct seat to be attached to the wall. Because of my weight, they couldn't take any chances on a not wide enough seats. But they never told me that. Then I got a little upset at that because I had waited, waited, waited and wait. The shower was all done, but I couldn't use it because there was no seat. And that's fine. They finally got the seat in from I think Great Britain or something. And I'm like well, at least they found one. I've had many, many wonderful days knowing that I could take a shower and not go in the tub anymore.

The corner has four little shelves that goes with that shower. I had a grab bar put on right underneath my window so when I sit in the chair against the wall, I can get up by holding that bar to the left of me. And I had a shelf put under there to hold my shampoo and my soap. I also had a very long hose, because I don't use the shower head. I use the hose and they clipped on a little bracket to hold the hose and it's great. So all I got to do is get up and turn the hot water on and wait until it gets hot.

The man that sold me the shower, I was so happy that he did that I called him four times and he never called me back. I just got it. I wanted to tell him how nice it was, but he never called me back and I wondered why. But the guy that did my installation was the best (his name was Joe). He's a little energetic, knows-what-he's-doing guy. But he didn't want to be told what to do and I wasn't telling him what to do. But I did have one thing to tell him that my son came up and inspected it. He inspected and he was supposed to put like the glue around the window, the glass block window that was already there. But those aren't big complaints; those are just salesman things, like the guy should have called me back and Joe was like getting all excited.

It was a recommendation from a friend that I chose Bath Fitter, and then I did get some money off when they got here. Then because I had to wait for my chair to come forever, I demanded money off because I thought that was false advertisement. They said 'We're in and out two days.' It didn't happen with me. It was more like four weeks. But overall, it's been more convenient. I give them five stars, as long as they get the right guy to install it.

My first experience with Bath Fitter and I could not be more impressed!

I applied online on my lunch hour at work requesting a consultation, and by the time I returned home, Jen had already tried to contact me to set up an appointment. Great response time!

Mike ** arrived, as scheduled and on time, and the fact he had previously done installations was such a bonus in his sales representative capacity as he was able to answer every question I had and with such confidence there was really no decision to make other than to go ahead with the shower surround and to give Bath Fitters my business. Mike represents your company so well and speaks very highly of the entire team. Nice to hear that and quite rare these days. I really appreciated that he took his time while I made my decision on what I wanted. I did not feel any pressure, and yet when I asked for his advice, he gave me some very good suggestions of things to consider that I might not have thought of otherwise. It was thanks to Mike pointing out that my tub had a slight tilt to the left that suggesting going with large tiles would be preferable to going with small tiles and he was absolutely right!

I was not in the house when Brandon did the work (I had someone house sit for me), but they told me he arrived right on time, worked very quietly, and the only noise they heard was him vacuuming (they thought) when the job was done. I had the pleasure of returning from work that afternoon to a completed job and could not tell anyone had even been there; he left the bathroom in such good shape. I also appreciated Jen’s phone call the day before to re-confirm that Brandon would be there by 9:00 (and he was).

My overall impression of Bath Fitters is just so positive! You certainly know how to run a business and excellent customer service is not so easy to find these days. I had been referred to you by two separate friends who have used Bath Fitter services in the past and had the same accolades about your company. I am now talking up Bath Fitters with everyone I can at work and beyond.

I love my new bath surround and I thank you, Mike, Brandon and Jen for truly providing the wow factor.

We had purchased a condo for a family member and there was an issue with the plumbing in the tub, and so that means we have to remove the tile. And a friend of mine had just had BathFitter put in for her family; she told me they were fabulous and clean but a little more expensive than some other people that did the same thing. When she said that, I called Bath Fitter and I had them come out and give me an estimate. It was between doing tile or doing that. And I like the idea that it was one day. So, I had them install a bathtub and a liner and one shelf. Actually, next week it will be a year.

I could have gone to Home Depot and then I have to wait for somebody to come out or look around. That's what made me think they have their product the way he was describing their product. It's also a lifetime guarantee. If we sold the condo, it's still covered. And the other thing is, it's comparable because I did talk to someone between the time that I came and between when the salesman came the next day. It's probably neck and neck if you did tile because of the labor.

The sales guy was great. He gave me a price and he wasn't pushy. I was fine with everything. I said I just have to think about it overnight and I called him the next day. He was great. He knew his product. He knew what I was trying to do. And I was three quarters on the way there because of my friend. The person who came out, he was excellent. He knew what he was doing. He was clean, neat. He was there just about 12 hours. They were excellent to work with and efficient and time effective - that was very important to me.

I had been looking at this ugly tiled shower for about 23 years. I did everything I could around it and then hid it with a shower curtain, but it just wasn't going away. So, it was time. I decided I was going to treat myself after all these years to a shower that I would enjoy looking at. And that's what I did - I purchased a shower from Bath Fitter. I purchased the unit that looks like it's been tiled so it has a nice texture to it with the shower doors, the two shower doors and then I had a corner shelf and then a longer shelf on the other hand that's used for shampoos. I love it. I absolutely love it. They were the most professional organization that I have dealt with in a long time. The fellow who came here did an excellent job. He was neat and clean and just worked all day. It looks beautiful. He did a beautiful job. Everything is seamless and straight and it just looks great. I just had it done last February.

They were great. They were very knowledgeable. I can't remember the name of the gentleman who came out to work with me, but he just seemed very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what he was talking about. His measurements are excellent. Everything they told me they were going to do, they did. It's nice to have a contractor and organization that does what they say they're going to do on time, within the budget you chose and it looks absolutely great. I'm going to use it at my other house. I got a little house down the shore. I'm going to use them again. Rewarding and excellent.

I've seen Bath Fitter's advertisements on television and I had a couple of friends in Arlington and Fremont who had had them and had put them in. I was impressed with the workmanship and the product itself and the price too, so I went with them. All I had there before was a big shower with two molded seats because about 15 years ago right after we sold our business, my husband had a massive stroke. We had to sell our house in Arlington because it wasn't handicap-accessible. We had this house over here we were building anyway, so we just put in a huge shower with two molded seats and everything where I could get in there and get him in there and give him a shower and take him out well. Then after, he passed away about four years ago. I didn't have a tub in the house because I can only spend so much money on building the home and that would have meant another bathroom and another plumbing. But this worked perfectly because Bath Fitter, they came and they just took the shower out and they could use the existing tile above it, and all the plumbing and everything was right there and put me in this beautiful tub shower and wall surround and everything. Oh, I just love it. I was so pleased and so amazed. I enjoy the tub, setting and soaking. It's awesome.

I come from a family who are plumbers, electricians, who build homes and who are general contractors so I kind of know about all those things. They were so professional. They came in the morning. They were very careful about my woodwork and all the surrounding areas and the tile on the floor. They tore everything out and recycled it and took it with them and put everything back in a day and cleaned up after themselves. I was so pleased and so impressed.

My bathroom was ugly, just ugly, so I decided to purchase a tub-shower and shelf from Bath Fitter six months ago. The guy was very friendly, and he didn't try to sell us anything that we really didn't need or want. And as far as the installation, he came in the morning and then he was done. I kept going in there, checking in and I was taking pictures. I chose Bath Fitter because of the convenience and because of the 'one day.' Awesome and worth it.

Bath Fitter redid my shower and placed some wainscoting on the wall for me. They replaced the valve and put a little thing in the corner for soaps and shampoos and things like that. I guess it's been 3 to 4 weeks now since I had it installed. We've been here 35 years; it was time to remodel. It's more of aesthetics than everything else. I talked to a few people who had used them and I've read some of their advertising and things like that - seeing what they did and reading about it, looking at at least two other jobs that they had done. And then a friend of ours, they got a place down the beach and he had Bath Fitter come in down there and do a little job for him; I had looked at that and kinda liked what they had done.

If I hadn't already made my mind up that this is what I wanted, I probably would have not done it. If it was pending on the salesperson to make the sale, he wouldn't have made the sale. He seemed like he was in a hurry. He kept saying that he had another appointment. And then to top it all, he tried to sell me a flooring product for another contractor that Bath Fitter has nothing to do with. In fact, he had four samples and he had the whole thing that was set up. He actually said at one point 'Now, this will be through another contractor but here are the samples for the floor and blah, blah.' And then he told me that one thing that I wanted done in the bathroom he said I couldn't do. They don't do that as far as shape that I wanted.

The installer, a little young boy that actually did the work, he's great. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give him a solid 9. When the installer came, he said he can do it with no problem. It was just night and day difference. I told my wife if the installer comes with the same attitude as the salesman, they're out of here. But he was a great kid. He's done a great job. We were tickled with the work that he'd done. But as far as the salesman, if I had to do anything else, I will tell them don't send the same salesman. But again, the installer was great. We really like him - good personality, laid the mats down, kept the house clean the whole nine yards. He was super.

I'm selling a house because I'm the executor of an estate and my relative passed away last year, and I was fixing the house to get ready for a sale. It's actually not my house. I had Bath Fitter put in a tub and a shower there - it was all in one. There was a soap holder thing in the corner. Also, there was a shower curtain rod. It was probably in the fall when I had it done. The sales people were really nice. I could tell my sales person was really new, which was fine. I wasn't there during the installation. I had people there working that could let them in, so I don't know how that went. But it looks fantastic. It's amazing. I actually emailed the before pictures to my salesperson so she could use it on her Facebook page. There was tremendous transformation because it was just a disgusting mess in there. It was just awful. Now it's beautiful. Now it's brand new. It looks great. I have no complaints. The caulking looks fantastic. It looks like a brand new bathroom now. I mean, it was the most disgusting room in the house before. Now, it looks really wonderful.

I bought a shower, tub, and the liner (I'm guessing maybe 2 or 3 years ago). This is a replacement over an existing one, which was of cheaper quality. It wasn't that good. I thought it needed remodeling. It needed to have something done. In addition, I bought a 4-shelf corner shelf from them. The reason I chose Bath Fitter was because somebody else we'd met recommended them to me and I can't remember who it was. It was either that or the fact that I felt they were reputable, for some reason. I just wouldn't go ahead and look up in the phonebook and say, 'Oh, I'm getting this guy.' I had to have a reason to have faith in them.

What really stood out to me is their accuracy. One guy came and he did the measuring. He measured it all up. As you can imagine, there's no room for any amount of error and it wouldn't be great otherwise. The guy who came and did the measurement was the same guy that came and did the install. He was a real nice guy, good guy. The day he came here, I talked to him on the phone and he was banged up with all these measurements. And he just did a top-notched job - he did a beautiful job.

As a matter of fact, in my application, I have a toilet between the tub and the sink; where the toilet is, the installer put a backsplash behind the toilet, underneath, from the floor up, under the foot, which I wanted him to do. It was beautiful. And the other guy, he was in and out. Beautiful, clean job when he left. They're just professional as anybody could be. I have got nothing but good to say about this company.

I'm not saying I didn't get good satisfaction from other companies, but it was the one company that I have no problem whatsoever recommending to anyone. As a matter of fact, somebody else I knew needed an overhaul and I recommended Bath Fitter and the installer. The same guy went to their place and they had the same results. They had the same feeling about the individual who came. This guy was able to please the customer.

I'm 100% satisfied and have nothing but respect for the company.

Someone in our building had Bath Fitter and we looked at theirs and it's really nice. We couldn't stand our bathroom; we could never get it cleaned, so we thought it was about time to remodel. It says it's very easy, so we decided to get the tub and the shower from them and purchased soap racks and grab bars on top of that. It was like not a big deal. We didn't even compare prices and everything. If we should have, I don't know. So we didn't.

On the day of the installation, people saw what they were doing; they were very efficient. No one likes disruption in their routine. And this was the least amount of disruption. It was very... benign. Also, the installer was very, very nice. He even asked since he wanted a cold drink or something like that. And he is very laid back. He didn't dirty up the place or anything like that, if you don't like to mess your stuff. They'd also cleaned up when they left.

They're really good (lots of experience). I sent them a note saying how Bath Fitter is a modern company with old-fashioned values. And by old-fashioned values I mean more modern obviously - it's a modern company but with old-fashioned values. They came on time. They came when they were supposed to. They were polite and all other things you'd associate with good old olden days. I would definitely recommend it.

The guy that came and actually did the 'presell' was fantastic. He was a hell of a nice guy. He came in and he was very obliging and told us everything we needed to know. And we picked what we wanted and that was it. Then, we made a day for him to come to put it in. It went along really good. It was a one-day install, which was fantastic. The guy that did it, you could tell that he did this work in the past. He had the tools to do it; he had the tools to fix the plumbing and the whole nine yards. That's one of the reasons why we went there in the first place. Clean, neat and tidy. Professional. Everything went really well.

You do your research from local people that you know had Bath Fitter in previously. I myself spoke to other people that had it done. I spoke to other people that had Bath Bitter put it in and they really loved it. They got along good and they had the product in their house for years and they never had any problem with it.

Up here, the house is over 50 years old. And the tiles fell down in the shower. So I figured I'm gonna see what to do here. (How much longer can you wait?) And then I said, 'Let me see what the television keeps on saying. Let me see what the Better Business Bureau has to say about this.' And they told me they'd put a very good report about the Bath Fitter. (One place that I called - I forgot about them right away, because I didn't like it at all.)

And then down the street here, a house had a Bath Fitter, and I stopped and I said to him, 'Do you work all year round on this?' He said yes. This was summertime that I saw them. I said, 'Well, I don't know. I'm thinking here and there about it.' And before I could think any longer, I had this problem with the tiles. He gave me a card (where to call). And when this happened, I just called up and he came down. He came to see me about the bathtub, to install it and all. He measured this and that. He gave me the price and we set up a date. As I remember, I think this was right before Thanksgiving that I had them here. I think his name was Ray. The last name was **.

They said it's lifetime guarantee as long as you use Clean Shower and so forth and so on. I only use Clean Shower in the bathtub area. (However, at this stage that I'm in - I'm over 70, I'm not gonna worry whether it lasts to be over 50 years or not because I'm not gonna be around that long.) With the old one, every time we took shower, there were mildew spots on the tiles. I was cleaning mildew everyday on the ceiling of the tiles in the bathtub. We took Clean Shower, sprayed it on, and then with the showerhead sprayed it off to take off the mildew on the tiles constantly. I mean, who wants to be cleaning like this all the time? Not me. You got to do things. It's enough that the Passover is coming at the end of the month. I don't do this all the time, but I was doing it for almost, I would say, about 2 or 3 years already. It's a good cleaning almost every day. Who wants to be cleaning like this every day? Even if you don't work - I don't work anymore, of course - but still who wants to be doing that? You'd like to be doing other things.

I tell you it's less care than the old one to be honest with you. I don't have a drop. I mean, you see a couple of splashes, but I mean there's no mildew whatsoever. I haven't had any problem with it at all. And I'm really very pleased. In fact, I called up Mr. ** from Bath Fitter. He wasn't in. He wasn't answering his telephone, so I just left him a message: 'There's no need to call me, but I just want to let you know that I'm very pleased with the job that was done.' I'm very pleased with the job that they did.

I can't speak more highly of the gentleman that came initially to see exactly what I wanted and take measurements and that sort of thing. I felt like he didn't come to sell me something but rather that he came to make sure I got what I wanted. I don't think I can speak more highly of that guy in his position doing his job that way. So I'm very satisfied with him. I think his name is John.

The actual installation took all day. It was done by a young man. He's very polite and courteous, very quiet. When he said he was done, which was gosh, it was getting dark I think he got here at 8 in the morning. He must have put in a good 10-hour day. Sometime out for lunch, I saw him eating but don't know how long. He just constantly kept working at what he's doing. When I first went up and looked at what he's done, I was moved by the perfection and beauty of it. I couldn't have been happier with what I saw.

I came across an article where it showed pretty much what I wanted and it said $500 off so I thought I'll give them a call. That's how I got involved. I called that number and everything worked out. Fantastic for a business situation. It couldn't have been better.

We hadn't remodeled our bathroom for 37 years, so I had Bath Fitter put in a tub plus finishing touches, such as grab bars, shelves, shower curtain bar (maybe that comes with it automatically) last June. I chose Bath Fitter because it was just so easy and so well presented. We've gone into hardware stores. We've been in and out when we remodeled the other bedrooms, the hallway and the porch. We were in and out looking for the best buy. At no time were we under the impression that we could've done better financially than we did. It is cheaper to do it yourself, right? But if you're not able to carry your tub or work over, it was better to have it professionally done like that. We just kind of thought along the way that if we had to hire different people to come in and deliver, it would have been just as expensive.

I found out about them through a home show. They said, ''Did you want a free quote?'' So I wrote them yes, so then they telephoned to set up a convenient time. Everything was very professional. A very young man came out and showed me what was available. I said we didn't want to take the cheapest one because I like the pattern on the next one out, because that's what I saw on the home show. They were not pushy. I felt like it was a two way conversation.

The young man who did the measuring was very personable. The man who came to install was extremely knowledgeable. Ours is an older home and there were some damage in the hind. After he got that out, I decided to go with the ceiling thing too - with the plastic ceiling on it. I'm really glad I did. The top where the whole thing was, we felt so good about it. We felt how good the bathroom that we continued the rest of summer to do the hallway, two small bedrooms and the downstairs porch. It's just that the old house hadn't had anything down to it for so long. And then everything was looking so good we decided just to keep on going.

I am very, very impressed with Bath Fitter. The young man who did the work would talk to me about it as he went along and for just a minute or two then he went back to work. He was just all very friendly as well as professional. My experience was very positive and I trust them. I trusted that I was making a decision that they went along. He recommended to put the roof on the tub ceiling because our old house doesn't have very good ventilation. That was something I was thinking about and wanted it. But then when he said that that would only be his recommendation, of course I jumped because I wanted it anyway.

I had a replacement tub, siding and shower installed by Bath Fitter plus one grab bar and one rack that you could put soap and shampoo on. This was done a year and a half ago. First of all, everything went like clockwork. We saw them at a demonstration with their ad set up. We just happened to be walking by and there was somebody out there with a Bath Fitter. My wife had been nagging so I said, 'Hey, go talk to them.' She did. Probably within the week the salesperson came by and measured and took numbers and showed us some book of what flavors we could get and so forth. We picked and we had them look at a couple of other things around the house. We picked the bath tub surround that they did. Probably within a week or two, they basically set the schedule. We did two tub units in two days. Yes, they came in one day, knocked out one and I don't think we did them back to back because that's a work-related thing. But it was I could be off this day and I could be off this day. And that was all good and they did it.

My first worry is obviously 'How do you get a fiber glass tub out in and not make a big, dusty mess?' And they did - they got a big fiber glass tub out and did not make a big, dusty mess. They did all that cuts right there behind their truck in my driveway and brought the pieces in and assembled. So I had no complaints about them. What was cool was the guy showed me the wall behind, because there were kinds of things you don't know if you have rot or anything. They showed us, 'Hey, I got the wall out. Take a look.' Everything was good back there, so I was kind of happy and they closed everything up.

I definitely am not angry with the experience, and my only concern about recommending to anybody is it was expensive. That was probably the only thing, but it was quick. So had I hired a contractor to do that, I probably could have saved (I don't know) two or three thousand dollars; but I couldn't get it done in a day. I think it's one of those I would tell friends to look at it, but I will also tell them that it's going to be more expensive.

My wife is somewhat impulsive when she nags. She would be nagging about 'I don't like the bathroom' for I don't know how long. It's been fine with me because I'm a guy, but she didn't like them. I showed her something, she picked it and they came by. When I was told what the price would be, I was kind of 'No, I don't think so.' But she wanted to do it, so I said, 'Knock it out.' It's over with, but that's the only concern that I thought - that it was expensive. I would say everything was great. I had no problem with Bath Fitter. We had two bathrooms in the house that they've done, so I'm not planning on having them come back. If my wife wasn't as impulsive and wanted to do it then, we would have researched a couple of places. But the options were then yeah, you could save a couple of thousand dollars because you might not be able to use your bathroom for a week. And that really wasn't an option, because also I couldn't stay at home for a week and watch all of them work. So when we put all of those together, this was probably the best fit for me.

I think everything worked well. That's what you get when you get a special big company. When you get a special company to do one thing that they do well, it's going to be more expensive than a a couple of persons coming by and taking three or four days to do it.

We had a walk-in shower and a tub done in two separate bathrooms last year. We added glass sliding doors and some designs in the patterns. Our house is over 40 years old. We remodeled to make our bathrooms more attractive. The work was done well and on time. They came when they promised to come. The installer was very friendly. They finished it all within two days. We're very pleased with the results. We chose Bath Fitter because we thought they were the best in the field from the research we did.

Bath Fitter installed our shower with seats and grab bars last year around March. We're kind of getting old and we need help; the tub was too high. Everything was great. We had this fellow Jason who was wonderful, very courteous and very neat. They were friendly and answered my questions. They were very nice. We chose Bath Fitter as we had a few neighbors upstairs had them put in and I saw them and I kind of like it. I already recommended Bath Fitter to a friend and they're getting it too. We had no problems with them. It was quick, fast and we're enjoying it now.

I scheduled an appointment for an in-home estimate/consultation 2 weeks ago. I confirmed the appointment both via the internet and thereafter via phone. I took time out of work to meet the consultant at my home and no one showed up. I called the office who connected me to the consultant who indicated he had trouble finding my home and tried calling me several times which is absolutely untrue. I asked if he had GPS and he confirmed he did but said we'd have to reschedule. I asked if he was in my area and he fumbled with his response and asked what city I lived in! Well, I declined to reschedule and the office manager called me back within 2 minutes. He was completely unprofessional and even upset with me that I wouldn't reschedule. They're not the kind of company I want to do business with.

They're beautiful. They put their tub inside my tub; they did that for me and then all around with the shelves. The walls, a couple of years ago, boy, it's beautiful and it's so easy for me to take care of. My mom and dad bought the house and they tried to do a lot, but they both passed away before they got it done, and I knew what they wanted to do. So, I just went ahead and did it. There's nothing bad about Bath Fitter. They were so cooperative. They listened to me in comparison with other people I dealt with. They were so helpful. I couldn't thank them enough really, because I know one of the ladies that works there. And I got the two grab bars Oh, what a God send. I'm not afraid to get in and out like I was before.

The fellow was quiet to begin with, and then I said I don't want to converse with him. Well, every once in a while I add my two cents and he was so nice. In fact, I found out he doesn't live too far away from here. He's very nice. He did what he had to do and that was it. They get it done so fast. It's true when you know they tell you it doesn't take all day. I never had a problem. I thought I don't want my house torn up for two or three days. Oh my gosh, they come in the morning early and before you know it, they're gone. I just appreciated what Bath Fitter has done. You can't imagine what it's done to my little bathroom. No stress, great, cooperative.

We got the tub and the shower surround in one bathroom three years ago. We have one grab bar and a towel rack and corner shelf too. Our whole bathroom was ceramic tile, and we had my dad here. He was ill, and right around the tub, we got to keep growling and growling. And friends of ours had gotten one and I said, 'Oh, maybe that's the way to go.' From day 1, everybody was really nice, really helpful. We went to the showroom and picked out what we wanted. And when it came, the guy who came was very nice, very polite and friendly. They were only here a day. In fact, I made him sit down, and we ate lunch together. He did a great job. We love it. We should have done it years ago but you know how that goes. And it looks great. It cleans great. We made a good choice.

A good friend of ours works for Bath Fitter and they have come and given us estimate before but financially, we just couldn't do it. Then in the meantime, we have looked at different things, but we didn't like the quality as much as Bath Fitter. Since then, our son had a complete bathroom done by Bath Fitter and a friend of ours had his bathroom tub done. We have no problems with the labor. Our experience has been great and enjoyable. Our problems are gone. That's one thing we don't have to worry about anymore.

He was there for like an hour or so, doing what he had to do. And then the next day, they came in and they did the entire thing and they were gone in a day. The installer is wicked. He was awesome. He was absolutely fabulous. I chose Bath Fitter for two reasons: My brother suggested them, number one; Number two, I only have one bathroom, so I couldn't have it go on for too long - I had to get it done and over with. We've purchased a couple of things from Bath Fitter, so this is our second time around. The first product several years ago, we did a bath tub, shower, and now we just did a shower most recently. The second one was just a couple of months ago (we had it done around Christmas time), and the first one probably was about maybe 5 years ago. If you would have seen the way the bathroom looked, you would have been remodelling also - it was time to fix it up.

Their customer service is phenomenal, and I'm a real critic. I'm a vice president of the Chamber of Commerce here, and so I deal with businesses from a whole another perspective because of the work I do. So I am one of those very difficult people. If it's not right, I'm going to the president, all the managers and proprietor, and if it's not right, you guys will be called in the process and any and everybody else. But on the other hand, if I have exceptional service, normally I would write a letter to corporate or whatever. So for us to have used them a second time, trust and believe, they did exceptional work. And then, also based on the fact that the initial work we had done, that the product can look really good when it's finished, but over time, how does the product sustain itself - and it has. For me to call a company back, that means they've done exceptional work to begin with.

I think initially when we had the first work completed, it was something in the mail we've gotten. We called them in. It wasn't through a personal referral or anything of that nature or it wasn't that I've seen their actual work. But I remember the first consultation we had, the gentleman is very personable, very knowledgeable, very informative, answered all the questions and we have them come to do the work. They were very good.

When we had the second bathroom done, prior to calling Bath Fitter, we had the other company, Bryan's, I think it was. We actually went to the consultation with them, but their fee was so high. I couldn't even believe the difference between them and Bath Fitter - the numbers were like ridiculous. I sat here and the guy is very personal, he's very nice, very informative, but when he gave us the numbers, I was like I pulled out my old contract from Bath Fitter even though it was 5 years ago and of course maybe, you know things have gone up, maybe possibly but I'm like, 'Oh no, we need to go back to Bath Fitter.' So, I told him, 'You know, you're a nice guy. I like what you've given me and my husband. We both agree that's it, but you know things are really high for the work. We already have Bath Fitter come in, and we've had the bathroom 5 years and we have not had one problem with it. It's top line. We're happy with it. You know what, we'd stop wasting your time, cause if I'd known your numbers are this high, I would have never even bother to call you in, to even have a consult with you.' But we had called them in, maybe they could beat Bath Fitter and that's what we were thinking initially, but we immediately called Bath Fitter and asked them to come in.

So, all the way around Bath Fitter got my vote. I told them if they need somebody to poster child, I'll be on the poster for them. They're top notch. Great product, great service, good customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We have 2 bathrooms done by Bath Fitter. It was an upstairs bathroom that we turned the tub into a shower and the downstairs bathroom that we just redid the tub. On the one upstairs, we had one of the handles added to it, and we had shelves on both, and then of course the pole where the curtain racks go. I have been in this house for a while and I've just been wanting to remodel and change the bathroom.

I went to the state fair and got to talk to the actual people and they gave us the appointment or the phone number and then we called. Then I found out from their list that there were other people that we knew that had used them and were happy with them and stuff. And then we went from there, and the lady came and had the meeting and gave us information on the choices and then we scheduled everything. They were very nice and worked very hard, did everything we asked them to do. And it was in good time, the time they said they would be done before the holidays and stuff. Those were 2 different days when they installed the shower and the tub. They cleaned up after themselves and were friendly.

It was just a very good experience with Bath Fitter. Timely done and done as promised. So far, we haven't had any other problems, and it's already been a year.

Bath Fitter did my entire bathroom three years ago. They took the tub out completely and put a shower in. They put the shower stall, the over wall, the ceiling, the lining, everything, including the windows. We had wanted to remodel when we first bought the house, but we had to wait till it was appropriate cash flow wise. And we researched what we wanted, and Bath Fitter was the perfect fit.

The gentleman came by, made all the measurements; we explained to him what we were looking for. He made his recommendations. Two days later, there was a team there to take everything out, the tub, and redo the wall behind the shower, because it had been kind of shady, kind of rocky, and he replaced all that. He put the plasterboard up and put the bonnets over it in the tub area. He took the tub out and put the shower stall in.

We wanted the product itself; we liked what they looked like. When we went to the show room, we liked the textures, we like the color assortment, and we just like the convenience and the quick and easy way to clean it. Bath Fitter has been perfect, including coming and retouching up some of the caulking a year or so later. They came back and they cleaned up a little bit of the caulking. They redid it because it started to separate a little bit. They were perfect. They came right in and they did everything they needed to do. They were out in an hour after they came to do the redo. They were extremely pleasant and efficient. The people who did the work both times were right on the mark. They really made sure that it fit and it was done quickly, clean. That was the most important thing too, because everything was spotless after they left.

It was a shower that I purchased from Bath Fitter. Well, it covers the bath tub and the shower wall - it's a one-piece thing. We also had safety bars installed. This was done September last year. Our house is an older home, and it was showing its signs of age. We thought that we'd better make some improvements and down the road we'd like to sell the house at some point, and we thought that would be a good selling feature.

The salesperson was very thorough, right from the start, when we had the initial visit to go over what I wanted and that kind of thing. There was no pressure. He explained all the products and details. A lot of my questions were about quality, because I wanted a product that would last, and he said from his personal experience what he would choose. Again, there was no pressure on his part. He didn't rush me in any way. He gave me time to think about the project and whatnot. He asked me if I want to change my mind about any of the different colors that I chose, that kind of thing. And when the installers did come that day, there was hardly any mess. The technician that came worked straight through. There were times I said, 'Why don't you come down and have a cup of coffee?' No, he really wanted to get the project done. Once he was finished, I was able to walk and have a look at it myself and make any comments or whatever. It was just a really good experience, right from start to finish.

I don't think I would go with a similar company. I'd go with Bath Fitter. We've been to several home shows, and that's where we found them to begin with. Also, I had two friends that had them in the area, and they were pleased with the work, so that's probably why I would go back with them. Excellent quality. Great service.

Bath Fitter installed my tub, the whole thing, the enclosure and a sealant for that. I had a corner shelf, four little things for holding bottles of soap and that and two handles. They installed it a little over a month ago. We had the tiles for a long time. The tiles were kind of dirty and we'd have to scrape them, and when you scrape them, you take the grout out. The day the installer did it, I was amazed at what he'd done in the day. They put a tub inside of my tub. Everything was cut to perfection. And he came off the side and he was hitting a window and he just cut around the molding for the window and all this. He did a super job.

They came before Christmas. We ordered it on the fourth or fifth of December. They were trying to squeeze it in for Christmas, and I said, ''No, don't squeeze it in. I don't want a rush job.'' And then my brother would come home from the west and he was going to do the crack filling for me and he made a mess of it. So, we contacted a good dry waller and he got that all done. We could've done away with the sealant inside the tub. That was worth three hundred bucks for that and it was a beautiful job.

The big thing we chose Bath Fitter was 'no mess and one day', and my wife's brother, he had it done and he voices us up to see it. His was different; his was done maybe three or four years ago. He was saying that it was like a rubber tub and it rolls over onto your tub. That's what I was expecting; I was expecting a rubber thing to roll over my tub and everything. But here, a tub came just like when you go to a hardware store and buy a tub but it had to be cut. Oh, what a beautiful tub and everything was beautiful on this. And the guy that had done it was pleasant. We told him to take some time off and he said, ''No sir, need to clean up before I leave!'' Super Job! They were a little more expensive but I mean, it's one day and no shortcuts. They don't take any shortcuts and they appreciate your home. He was super.

We're very well satisfied. I mean they were a little expensive. We could've cut corners, did away with the shelves and handles, but we're getting older and we need those handles. And the sealant thing, it was around three hundred dollars but it's really, really nice. It stands about three inches from your ceiling and it's all plastic, like vinyl. And we got the round bar for the shower.

I had a whole new bathroom installed. Where I live (it's coop housing), I have 20 units up here. I was the head of maintenance up here. We had a lot of bathroom issues, so we designed a five-year plan to replace four bathrooms a year for the next five years. That way, all twenty bathrooms would be getting all new updates, right? And we looked at local plumbing companies around here, we looked at one or two in Halifax, and Bath Fitter was one of them. So we had them come in. And I worked all of them, giving quotes, and doing interviews, just to get a feel for it. And Bath Fitter sounded really appealing to us. Their prices were good. And they answered all our questions, no matter how small or minimal they seemed. So, we decided to go with Bath Fitters.

Now, last year, we had our first four bathrooms put in. And out of the four bathrooms, I only had one little glitch. And I came to find out that it was the faucet, it was a faulty one from the factory itself. I called them and the next day, they were up here and replaced it. Now, when we had the installation they put in, we got new tubs, new tub surround, new sink, new vanity, new toilet, new floor, new medicine cabinet, the whole nine yards - Bath Fitter did it all. They completely got it and redid the bathroom. So, they told us, where we were doing four bathrooms a year at a time, he said two-three days. And I was thinking, 'Yeah, right.' You know what, three days later, Stan (one of the guys that comes up and does it, he is one of the head workers) and I were looking at a finished product. I could not believe it. It was phenomenal. The workmanship, the workers themselves, you couldn't ask for better workers. I was in contact with Bath Fitter quite frequently, and what might have sounded like a stupid little question, to them, if it was a question I had, it wasn't stupid. They treated us with nothing but the best respect of all the companies I've ever dealt with in the twelve years I've been doing this. They were phenomenal.

Well, Bath Fitter, they are number 1. And if you go anywhere else, you're foolish. They guarantee their product. The workmanship is impeccable. This is our second year, and I've already been in contact with Bath Fitter. They've ordered up the supplies. They've already been up here taking measurements. We're having our next four bathrooms done here in about two weeks' time. And I just didn't even think twice of looking anywhere else. You cannot surpass the quality, the commitment, and the personality of each and every one down there. It's just phenomenal. And I'd recommend them to anybody. I can't find a thing wrong with any of the details or anything with them. I've got nothing but the best respect for those people; Stephanel ** and his wife, they were the ones that came up the first year. And Chris ** has taken over for Stephanel, and I am getting the same respect and diligence from Chris as what I get from Stephanel. Bath Fitter is number 1 in my book. You cannot top it. I'd highly recommend them to anybody.

I wasn't here part of the day anyway, but I don't know how he got the whole tub out and did it all by himself. And he stayed until 8 o'clock, I guess. The second one was a different guy. I bought two different products at different times. I started with a shower first, and then I ended up buying the bath - that would be a following year later when I had more money. I got the shower in last year in April. We were just very simple - we took the Delta shower head with the shower handle, which was okay. I didn't like that one as much. I ended up buying another Delta faucet that worked out better for me. That would be the only thing. But obviously, I'm happy and that's worth it.

The ordering and installation process is really, really fast. I'm the kind of person who does research beforehand, check out couple of places and look at the Business Bureau, whatnot. And then basically, what happened was they came in and they had the best warranty. For me that was the best warranty. And since they have a history of being very, very reliable, I loved the fact that when I called, there's actually someone on the line that I come in contact with; they have a physical address. So, it was great. I think I called and they can have someone come over within one week. That time, they were able to squeeze me in.

It would be 2011, April - we purchased this house and it really needed a lot of renovation. For example, the shower was one of those old kind, and basically it's all scrubbed away. And the sink was mildew-y and moldy. And when the surface is gone, you know, it was just a matter of time. No matter how much you scrub, it's never going to be clean. I have two kids. It was not sanitary, no matter what my husband said - it needs to be done. But I knew if I have to get it done, I need to get it done - fast. And it was crazy. The first week, we had the carpet done, we had the water heater, we had one of the toilets replaced (because he said he could live with it. It didn't work.) I said, 'Well, I'll use the new toilet. You can use the old one.' We did all that, the furniture, whatever. It was just crazy because the mover, I thought they were coming on Thursday; they ended up coming on Wednesday, which was perfect, because the carpet was already done on Tuesday. So I basically needed someone to be able to hit the ground running. And they did. I think I've come in contact with them; they came in, in all that craziness, and were able to give me an evaluation. And I just wanted clean, chic, possible basic.

They recommended Delta, which was great because that's what my plumber recommended too, so we decided to go for that. They gave me a certain time frame and I thought it was reasonable, like basically a month or so. But what they told me is because I'm ordering a very, very basic color (white), they may have it in store. I think they called me back about a week later and said, 'We can get it installed.' So they came over and they installed it. They cleaned up after themselves. They hauled that big hunk of acrylic, really, those thick old kind, hold it out. And by the end of the evening, we had a working shower.

What did happen, the washer got twisted somewhere like within a month or so, and my husband said it shouldn't work like that. It was working fine before, so I want to do something. I didn't know what it was, so I called Bath Fitter. They said okay, 'We're going to send someone over,' because we have a warranty. And they came over the next day, checked the washer, they replaced the washer or repositioned the washer, and then the problem was solved - gone. It was within a day or two of the initial phone call. Very, very clean.

Then, I had the issue... I really wanted to have the bath tub done. And I knew the bath tub is always more expensive than the shower. This is not tiled (I prefer the smooth finish thing). This bath was the all acrylic kind - they call it the C or whatever it is (it's like a letter C, they have a top and stuff like that). My son is growing so he could touch the top, I could touch the top; if he grew any taller, it would have been very problematic. But they said, look, since this is an acrylic thing, they could move it. One, it's not going to be as fixed, so you gain height. And they could do all that. And he was also very nice about it. He said, 'Look, any time you move the top, you don't know what's above that, so maybe you don't want to extend the height.' He really did try to cut the size down. Also because I was a previous client, he said he gave me as much discount as he possibly can. And I was able to afford it. Once again, I asked for a very basic design. It was something really, really, amazingly quick.

I called Bath Fitter on Nov. 16th. They came on the 17th in the morning. On Monday they gave me a call and said they can come over, because I ordered a very fundamental basic thing in stock. I said I couldn't do it that day, so we scheduled something. In less than a week I got a new bath tub, from the time that I made the phone call to getting a whole, entire new bath tub. And we're very happy with it.

The second installer, the one for the bath tub, I like so much more than the first one, even though the first one was good. The second one was very hard working, and it was a hard job. Obviously, it was much harder than just the shower. It was bigger, it was clunkier, and it was a C thing so it has to go up on the top. I mean, it wasn't easy work. He really did - he put all those things. He also told me, 'Look, I can't do much. I can't put the insulation, because it's the kind of insulation that when you're down, you're not supposed to do it.' He was very well-versed in all that, and he actually did me a favor. Because after he removed that, I can see there was actually no piping above that. I said, 'I'll pay you extra, can you just please move that? At least move that thing on the top so my son can actually stand up.' And he did do that for me. The only thing is, I don't know how thick the wall is because the size is limited. And it turned out that, luckily for me, it was fine. It would've been okay. So he did all that for me, and cleaned up. He even borrowed my vacuum cleaner and vacuumed. He was just absolutely fantastic. I did give him a big tip, but you know, he totally deserved it.

The only thing that I have to do in the Bath Fitter outside of the warranty is that if the insulation thing comes down, I'm the one who's going to have to buy some insulation and put it on top. But all things considering, for it to be all done in one day, it's great. Also, another thing, I said, 'Look, I'll leave it up to your judgment. You can put where the soap dish is, because you're the professional, you know where to put all those dispensers.' By the way, I got the basic package, and it comes with the soap dish, it comes with the shower thing - it was all ready to go. So what happened is, I had the shower head that I like. That's the only thing I like about it. I said, 'Look, I don't want you to give me anything; just re-install my shower head.' They did that for me, but they were so professional. They said, 'Look, here is the shower head that you would've gotten.' It was really, really nice. They were really professional, they sat down, explained why this versus that, why this was a better choice than the other choice. And if you basically order a basic stuff, there's a really, really high likelihood that they have it in stock. And for me, it was that fast. I mean, I actually think it was less than a week.

I have recommended Bath Fitter to a friend if they wanted something quick. For the price and the time, it can't be beat. I may be able to get it cheaper through some contractor, but they don't give me the warranty over time, and they could be gone. And then also, it would take it much longer to do tile work and all that. They ''warranty'' everything. And they got it all done in a day. Another thing, the shower thing, part of the caulk came off. I said, 'Look, you can see that.' The guy who did the evaluation of the bath tub said, 'Okay, I can see that. And don't worry about it. I'll mark it down there and he will come in and the guy who will install the bath tub will fix it.' And they did. It was just all very nice. They're very, very courteous and fast. If you watch HGTV by Love It Or List It, I looked at it very carefully and some of the bathrooms, they use Bath Fitter. I'm convinced to use Bath Fitter. It's not going to be ultra-fancy tile or whatever it is, but it's clean, clean, clean. And I'm very happy with mine, obviously happy enough to want to use them again.

The installer was very knowledgeable and was able to complete the job and in less than a day. So we're just very satisfied. I had a very good experience with Bath Fitter.

I had a shower installed by Bath Fitter a year and a half ago. We got tired to look at the darn thing we had. That was ceramic tile and we just weren't satisfied with it. My wife thought of doing it. We'd been offered about it a good while and then we decided, 'Let's go for it,' so we did. My wife's the one that handled the ordering process. We called and got an appointment, and then the lady came out. She showed us our options, different products, and so we chose what's in there. The lady kept trying to get us to change some things, but we told her this is what my wife wanted. And then they got out here, and in about three fourths of a day, they had that thing in.

I thought the installers were pretty sharp. They were so well versed in what they were doing. I guess they're good. My experience with Bath Fitter was all right. They told us, 'Do not do anything yourself to it' because of the warranty. The warranty is lifetime. And they finally came back. The walls did not adhere. They were spongy all the way around. And they told us that they'd come back out. And they told us that they'd give it a heat treatment - it bonded a little better, but it wasn't long and it was becoming spongy again. It was just coming loose. The third time, they came out twice and did that. And they came out and installed the toilet's tissue roll and stuff like that - they did all that. And then last year, recently, the wall became so spongy. We told them all about it. The gentleman that came out to install it had been coming out here twice and he said, 'I'm gonna have to just take everything down and redo it.' Well, they did. So far, so good.

I had the tub taken out and the shower put in a year ago. We also had the shower doors put in and grab bars. We have a house that's quite old and this is the original bathroom that was in it that was starting to leak through the tiles. And there's another reason - my wife couldn't get into the bathtub (she couldn't climb over to get in). We figured a shower was the best thing to do. The installers were wonderful. When they came in, they installed the thing. They had a professional man who did it, who knew his stuff and did a wonderful job. They answered all of my questions. I have no complaints at all.

I had a different company that did something before and they were in the same business but they moved. Bath Fitter was local. They were in driving distance. We went down to see what products they had - what they had to offer - and we decided on them. I would definitely recommend Bath Fitter to a friend. And I even told them that if they have anyone who would want to come in to see it, they could have them come over and see it. It's the best there is. Very happy. Very pleased.

I told them I never make a $5K decision on only one estimate. They pressured me, and once the salesman realized I was not changing my mind, he turned on me like a cornered snake. Rude and unprofessional doesn't even describe his attitude. After reading these reviews, I am so glad I am going in another direction. In my opinion, the discount of only today should be illegal.

Bath Fitter installed my shower. I have to be honest... They did a great job. They really did. Because I'm handicapped, they put in a special handle for me in a good spot so it really worked out very well. The installation was done about 2 years ago. They left no mess whatsoever. They finished in one day. I have no complaints about that. I really think they did a great job.

I chose Bath Fitter because there were no seams. I have called somebody else to check it out and there were no seams, so I was thrilled with that. I didn't want any kind of seam or anything. That was that very well. I didn't like the other one with the seam because I was afraid it could leak through to the other parts wherever it would be. It was done very, very well. I had actually both bathrooms done. I don't think they did it the same day, but they came back the next day or so and they did them and it worked out very well. It was two showers and it worked out very well. They're easy to clean. Really, they do work out because they have enough bars, and the glass is fine. I didn't get the clear glass because it leaves spots, water spots, so I do have other kind of glasses; it's all glass, thank God for that, but it's more like a bubbly type of thing - it's not clear. They can't see into it, so it works out very well. I was very pleased with it. The job was done perfectly. I had no problem with it whatsoever.

The thing about ReBath, there's one on East Rochester, and this place is just around the corner from me almost; and they responded a lot quicker from my phone call than ReBath did. It's great and I had no problems. I had a couple of things come on like the shower head cracked and come off, and they're there at no time at all. Next day, they were there. We had a tub and surround installed by Bath Fitter, also faucet, shelf, handles and flush. It's been almost three years now. Our existing bathtub was very outdated and needed repair so we decided we needed a remodel job. I had a water leak in the bathroom and I turned that into the insurance company. It just made sense at that time to just go through the whole thing and do it over. Bath Fitter was the nicest company we had to deal with. I got Bath Fitter and I got another company - I got estimates from them. Then I had Bath Fitter come back and I had a different guy than the first one come back and give me another estimate because they had offered me a better deal. From that point on, they were very great. I can't say enough good things about them.

There were fairly lightly projects that did take until like 7 at night. They started at 8 in the morning. But they had run in to unseen problems which they stood right by, and they really did a remarkable job. I got talking to Bath Fitter, and the other company tried to tell me that they're pertaining to the surround part of the tub, that Bath Fitter products are superior to the other companies and they proved that to me. And I'm so glad that I landed with Bath Fitter because this is all in one piece where they said the other company wasn't all in one piece. They came right here and they made the piece out in the driveway. How they did that, I don't know. Excellent service.

We purchased both (tub and shower), one each. That was two separate bathrooms in the same house. Well, it was in the last year. The house was built in '65 and the grout was very old and we were ready for an update. I had originally called when I owned the home a couple of years prior to that, and we were looking to trying kind of do that same stuccos, adding a blue Bath Fitter section into our tub. And we decided there was really a lot of money to put into the house that we had already had, so when we moved, we went back and said we were looking into this a while ago and they said 'Oh yeah, we remember you.' And it was just like they remembered us. They went through the whole initial consultation again and said, 'Well, we won't go over what we've already talked about with you because you already know this.' But they gave us some new of ideas and different costs about our top and shower. And then what was really great is that the installer was awesome, thorough and very professional. He cleaned up everything and when he finished one job, he kind of started another; after this, if it was okay, if he could kind of go in the next day and start the process a little bit in advance. He was done, and everything was neat and clean.

I think when we had originally thought about it, we tried either ReBath or Bath Fitter and then we went to Home Depot and looked around and just the prices. Bath Fitter was able to work with us more than anybody else. And we felt that their quality was better. I definitely would recommend the company to anybody. They are very thorough and take care of their customers, and I'm very happy with what I've got so far.

We really appreciated it. Bath Fitter did a wonderful job. We're very happy with the shower. It was kind of fancy. We had the door enclosure. We had the large showerhead. We had the rain shower, the hand held, and the set in like the cabinet (I don't know what to call it). They actually built the wall too for us between the shower and the toilet area. We had the job done two and a half months ago. Our shower was pretty small. It was more of a corner type shower that we've put in because we have a separate bathtub here. So, we just thought it's really time to get something bigger, better and increase the value of the house too.

Our experience with Bath Fitter was great from beginning to end. Everybody was very knowledgeable. When we went to the showroom, people were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And then we talked to Steve and Paul, and they were great. The guys who came to install were amazing. They went right in there. In one day, it was cleaned - it was great. I couldn't believe what they have accomplished when they were there. So I think we had a great experience from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Bath Fitter.

We did check out ReBath and we checked out of course Bath Fitter. And we had a friend who had Bath Fitter work on two of her bathrooms, and she was very pleased and recommended Bath Fitter to other people. And you always like a recommendation from someone that you know and someone who has had a great experience. Bath Fitter is terrific. Exceptional. We're thrilled. It's been great. I love how easy it is to take care of the shower - it's amazing, the way it's so easy to clean. Oh, there was another nice thing - they gave us a whole list of different products that we could use and basically you just spray and wipe. It was so easy. It's wonderful.

My experience was just short of **. I purchased a tub from Bath Fitter. I remodeled because my bathroom was coming through my family room. It was like you were Samantha the witch - you wiggled your nose and it was done. There was not a strap of mess, nothing. And they were extremely courteous even to the point of taking time to pet my dog. They didn't wear shoes. They came in and took off their shoes and worked in their socks so they wouldn't damage the tub. I mean it was beyond what I expected. And they said that they would be there at 8 am and it was something like 7:58 right there. They said they would leave by 3 and it was like minutes before 3 and they said, 'Goodbye and thank you, ma'am.' If anybody wants to have a good experience having a tub installed, call Bath Fitter. I wouldn't call anybody else, but I doubt that I'll ever need another one.

It was from an advertisement that I found out about Bath Fitter. That was the only ad that I had left in my hand and I looked at it. And I'm looking at the hole in the family room and I thought, 'What the heck? Can't hurt to ask.' They sent out a real nice man. His name was Leo and he saw and said, 'Yeah, we could handle that.' And I think up, 'Yeah, right.' Well, talk about true to your word, they did everything above and beyond. It's a great experience. I just wish that they also install toilets and sinks. That's the only drawback as far I'm concerned so I could have the whole thing done. My experience with Bath Fitter is the best building experience I've ever been through.

In November we had the bathtub fitted over and we put the wall around the sides of it. And in my shower, I had one of those one-piece fiber glass showers from 30 years ago. They pulled that out and extended my shower back. I had a shower door on mine - that's what we put. I didn't have one on the other one, but other than that, it was basically the same. They put the new fixtures and all. And we're well pleased with both of them. Well, the reason we remodeled is my wife had Harvest Gold bathtub and it needed to be remodeled and we looked at pulling it out. She had just redone her bathroom with the tiles and all on the bottom. We didn't want to go through all that and redo the tile around and everything else, so that's why we chose Bath Fitter. With mine, it was like a whole reconstruction because they got the old one out and they just extended my showers and they made it bigger.

We saw Bath Fitter at home patio show and I gave them a call. A guy came out and measured and then they gave us a price and they said we'd wait. And then they're running a sale on certain things and all like this and on fixtures and stuff like that. We actually got them for nothing with it, so we saved a couple of thousand dollars with discounts and everything. And we decided to do them both. We had the discounts from home patio show too, so we just decided to do them both at the same time. They did one and then they came back and did the other one.

The installers were very friendly and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job. We tried to stay out of their way to get it done. There were really no big questions to ask of it and how to clean it. They told us how to clean it and everything else and if we had any problems to give them a call. They did have to come back one time. My shower door was not working right; it had to be readjusted and they came out to do that, and then they came out and put a towel bar which we did not order originally but we ordered later on and put the towel bar in my wife's bathroom. Because we didn't do that to begin with and we realized that she needed it, so we had them come back for that. Other than that, we had no issues.

I didn't know of any other companies that did it. Bath Fitter said they would do it in one day. And another thing we wanted is the lifetime guarantee which we got with Bath Fitter, which the other ones may or may not depending on how they stay in business and all. If we did it for reconstruction, it would probably take a week or so to do stuff like that. We just didn't have the time and price wise, it would probably run close the same anyway. I'll recommend Bath Fitter. In fact, I've told several people about them already because they've looked at our bathrooms. I was very pleased with Bath Fitter and so is my wife. My experience has been great. I'm very satisfied with it. I have no complaints whatsoever, other than that one little issue where they came out and fixed it the next week - it just needed a readjustment. We've had no problems whatsoever.

The guy that came out and took the estimates and stuff, he wrote one type of skirt for the tub on my paper and wrote another type on their paper, so they put the wrong tub in that I ordered but I kept it. I wouldn't let them pull it out. It was supposed to be done in one day and the guy messed up my base of the shower, so he had to come back the next month and put my shower in. And I called the company myself about a month or two after they did it because they did a super installation. The gentleman said that he would see if he could use our door (our shower door from the existing shower stall), but he said it depends if it would fit or not, and it did. It saved us some money. It was just a super job. And it's the cleanup that stood out to me. It was as if the shower was there all the time. They did an excellent job cleaning up. I forget the gentleman's name. Well, to me, I can't judge them by anybody else, but the way that they do work for me, I am well pleased with it.

I purchased a tub and a surround that goes around the tub a month ago from Bath Fitter - it looked pretty. We had a cast iron tub and the finish was all off and it just looked bad. We had heard of Bath Fitter and we really didn't know anybody that used it. We just heard of it and we had looked at their information over the years and we just decided to call.

The man who came and looked at it initially was just very nice, very friendly. I was very comfortable with him in our house. And there were two other men who came. We have hot water, gas heat in our house, and the register thing ran up too close to the tub, so that had to be moved. There was a man that came and did that, but the guy that did most of the work, as far as the tub and the surround, just this pleasant, nice young Christian man that I have ever had working in my house. He covered everything, cleaned up after his own mess. In fact, it took him two days to get it done because of moving the heat thing and that type of thing. Not two whole days, but two days were involved in the whole process.

I chose Bath Fitter because of advertisement and having lived in the autumn gathering festival type things and they might have somebody there. We really have never talked to anybody, just looked at their stuff. It just seemed like they could do what we needed to do. It actually was probably more expensive than we were expecting, when the initial stuff was done, but then my husband and I both are in our seventies and he's always been a do-it-yourself person, but by the time he was finished, he was glad he didn't have to.

Very pleasant. I am extremely pleased with how the job was done. It's nice to walk in there. We just went with simple - we did not go with the most expensive of anything. We've lived in our house for 47 years, so they covered the original tub that was in this house before we bought it, and just to go in there and see how good it looks. It's a small bathroom - the way everything was done, it just makes it look larger. I have a shower in my bathroom and they asked if I was interested in having that done. And when I said no, that was fine. You know, just ''Ma'am you might want to think about that. It'll be cheaper now than if you wanted to do it later...'' You know, that kind of thing, nothing pushy about them. Yes, I would recommend them. In fact, I do know somebody that would be interested. And it's a family member so they know how to get back in touch, but they said right now they just cannot afford it.

Bath Fitter did a tub/shower insert for us six years ago. The prior shower was difficult to keep clean and it always looked dirty. I believed that it would be a good improvement to make. And my parents had had a Bath Fitter insert done a few years prior and were very happy with theirs. I enjoyed the representative that came out and explained the process to us. We purchased the service and the product, and the installer was exceptionally polite, courteous and very personable. Everything was fine on the day of the installation.

We got referred to Bath Fitter by my parents. My parents had had a prior bathroom remodeled; their tub and shower were very poor. And so this was the second time for them. I think the fact that it was a one-piece insert, there wasn't any leakage that could possibly occur, was very appealing to us. We're extremely pleased.

It was $6400 for a bathtub and wall makeover, $99 chrome shower rod ($12 on Amazon). That's ridiculous pricing for plastic. Salesman went from best buddy to surly when we wouldn't sign on the line, then into used car salesman mode: "If you sign today, you get 10% off". He made some rude comment about "having cake and eating it too". What an **. Stay far, far away. Don't even bother with the estimate.

I mean, price was up a little bit, but it's kind of close to most of the other ones. The installers were really friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. I think we've just seen Bath Fitter at a show or an exhibition, and that's why we just chose to do it. Everything was pretty good. I think they had a little lack of communication on what was supposed to have been done on one of them. Other than that, they just have to make a phone call to make sure that was right.

I purchased the tub fitting and the flooring and the sink and the wall. This coming July it would be a year. Our tub was just like old looking; it had some scratches in the tub, and the floor was weak from water damage, so we decided to do it. I think the only thing we had added was just a shelf and the shower curtain around. Everything was fine. In fact, there's some caulking around one of the walls that had to be fixed, and they came and they redid it and that was it.

The head guy came down to the house and we picked everything else that we wanted. We set up financing and then we set up a time for them to come and start. And then they had a separate contractor, of course, do the bathroom part of it. Basically, we replaced everything in the bathroom. Well, we did use their contractor, which there was no problem with, and that was it. In fact, if I remember right, we wrote them a letter how satisfied we were.

The installation didn't take long at all - I remember it was very quick. It was actually just like they said. I didn't know if I could believe it, because I never did anything like that before. I had a bathroom done the traditional way and that was a whole... wow. But this is like really fast. And they cleaned up everything and they're very friendly.

One reason we chose Bath Fitter was the unbelievable mess that you can't really avoid. Because the other way (the traditional way), you're taking down walls, you're retiling, and then all the dirt it drags throughout the house. I mean, it's no one's fault - you can't help it. This is the bathroom upstairs. I mean, what are you gonna do? The other reason we chose them was when my house was built originally, there's a gap between the tub and the wall - that was the builder's crew. They really should have redone that whole thing. But once you're in the house, they're not redoing anything. So we've always had to constantly be re-caulking. My husband and I both saw that there's no seam in the middle there - it's all one piece. So in that regard, there we go.

I would say, overall, Bath Fitter is a good organization. I'd definitely deal with them again if the need came up.

I've been happy with the quality. Bath Fitter is a wonderful company. They just did everything and they cleaned up everything. And they did a few other repairs that needed to be done, like they installed my shower stall. And it wasn't draining properly, so they went and put a whole new drain pipe in and stuff like that. They finished the job and they did the job wonderfully.

I saw Bath Fitter advertise on TV. And then we went out to look at their model that they had in Wexford. My daughter took me out there and we looked at the model, and that's when we decided to go ahead and do it. It was fantastic.

Well, they came back to fix a leak in the faucet, which damaged the walls and paint, which is underneath the bathroom. Then the wall that you see when you look in was poorly installed. It was cut too long and it was bowed. They came back and fixed that. Now to be fair, this was installed in 2008. Now the rear wall is coming loose and bowing and there is a crack in the wall. I was told I would have to pay them to come out, and needless to say, I wasn’t happy and told him I would call back. I called back and was told he would call me back first thing Monday morning. I had my bathtub and a surround with Bath Fitter last April. My old tiles were falling off the wall, and the bathtub was peach. They were very good. They gave me different things with my house. We went through that. They were good, very cordial. The installation took all day. There was a plumber and a guy that did the install. And they actually went above and beyond. They cleaned up after themselves, totally everything.

The main selling point for me is that the process took only one day. Otherwise, I would have had a real bathtub. They did a great job. I still would rather have a real tub instead of the plastic one. It's not as solid and you have to be more careful about it when cleaning. The caulking kind of turns yellow and everything else is white. I did recommend them to other people who actually used them. I think they did a quality job, above and beyond in some cases and where it was needed. I had an issue with my water and the plumber stayed and worked at the water department.

The installation took most of the day and the only thing I didn't like about it was lack of communication. It was a rainy day and he had to go in my basement and do some work down there, and I didn't realize what he was doing and why he was doing it. He didn't really tell me and I didn't know what was going on, so I was a little bit annoyed with that. But everything turned out all right. There was just one installer and that was about it. Actually, when he was moving my treadmill, he kind of broke the handle on it, but they made it right and fixed it so that was okay.

In October (4 months ago) I purchased the tub, the shower, the filling, covering, the walls, and the sprayer on the side from Bath Fitter. I've been in the house for 52 years and I'm a widow and I'm getting older and I'm retired. And I thought I'd like to have some handles and bars on the side there as I age, and older people tend to fall and stuff. Plus, the fact, when I was a new bride a number of years ago, we had a well water and it stained the tub and I scrubbed it so much that I couldn't get the stain out. And then we went to town water after two or three years, because it went by our house on the street. I did the best I could to keep the white tub itself. It was always clean but it always had that stain. My daughter looked at it and said it's disgusting, and I suppose it's clean. I had a little money set aside and you know that bumper sticker 'I'm spending my children's inheritance,' so I went ahead.

And the other thing that prompted me to do Bath Fitter was there was a circular that came out that said $500 off if you book them. And I thought well, $500 in my pocket is better than nothing and I'm a coupon person anyway. So my daughter and I we went over; we looked at what was there and they came over. The project manager came over. He said, 'What is it you're looking for?' And then he just made a couple of suggestions and he said, 'So far, you don't have to have the handheld sprayer over head. You can have it on the side,' which I decided to do because that way, I don't have to reach up. I have a little arthritis so it can hurt your shoulders. And then I decided the inside has a soapdish rail in the middle along with the walls and one on either end of the walls. Then the fella wrapped the tile around toward the vanity area, and I kept my regular blue tile because there's nothing wrong with it. Then that's about it.

I had a good experience, three different people. And I did get what they used to call handicap toilets that I called comfort toilets. The man told me that the word handicap seemed to put a stigma on the toilet, and they couldn't sell them so they've named them comfort toilets and they can't keep them in stock. I have a knee replacement so it's so much easier to sit down on a toilet that's a little bit higher, plus it's the water favor. My toilet was a 52-year old one that uses more water. I mean all in all, it was a good experience. I had no complaints.

The tile bar at the back, the way it was put on, it's on the back wall of the tub - it came loose on one side but no problem. I called them right away. That was after a month or so. Apparently, there wasn't quite enough grout to hold it but it wasn't the problem, because the fellow was there within an hour or two and fixed it all up and didn't make any kind of mess or anything. Everything was cleaned up. I'm very happy with it. So far so good. I'm into it four months and no complaints. It was an excellent experience. In fact, my girl friend down the street, when I told her I was having Bath Fitter, she said, 'Oh we have them last year. You'll like it.' I said it was an excellent experience with the office staff and the people they hired to come.

I talked to another company on the phone and I went ahead and made up my mind at that point. But basically when I saw the ad and had the recommendation of my friend and the $500 coupon, that kind of filled me. And I went over to the place and saw the different set ups and what they had and I knew how much money I wanted to spend and it worked. That's why I picked Bath Fitter. No problems. I'm very satisfied.

I purchased a full tub and wall enclosure with Bath Fitter about two months ago. The last one got pretty disgusting. It was old. It was an older house. The whole thing was very positive. The sales process was very honest. He came fully prepared with pictures to show me what it would look like and options. He seemed like a very straightforward guy. And in terms of the process, it was just as they said it was going to be. They were on time. It required two visits the first couple of days before the installation. I guess they contracted the plumber, and the plumber comes and puts roughs in the plumbing. And then two days later, the actual installation took place and it was very well done.

The installers left the place just fine. He obviously knew what he was doing. He had experience doing this. The material looked exactly as it did in the pictures and as it was described, and it's exactly what we were looking for. I actually had called a bath remodeler, but bath remodelers don't necessarily do this kind of work. They basically will put a new fixtures and things like this, but this is basically putting an entire enclosure over your existing bathtub and the tile walls. It's kind of putting a shell over everything that you've got, so you don't have to remove anything. So there's only two companies that do this in this area anyway, Bath Fitter and ReBath. I called Bath Fitter because that was the place the guy told me about. It was high quality work done on time and all their promises were kept.

We converted the tub to a large shower stall before Thanksgiving. I'm kind of short and I'm getting older and it was getting too hard to get into the bathtub. I kept stubbing my toes on the edge of the shower door and I'm diabetic, so I was worried and I said, 'Well, you know, it's time to change.' They put a shower enclosure. So they took out the old bathtub and they had to reinforce the floor and changed the shower head. I think that's all they did. Pretty expensive but I guess it beats moving a foot.

I know the guys were pretty knowledgeable and quick. There's one guy that came in. The second guy was late coming in but the first guy that came in, he was very knowledgeable. The only thing they did that I didn't care for is they had to break the bathtub apart and they used like a sledge hammer. And when he broke the bathtub, it really made a big contact with the wall and some of my dishes in the kitchen came out. That worries me that I wondered if they might have cracked a beam or something because I was not expecting that. I just did have a better way of doing it than what they did, but so far, so good. I do love my shower. I am glad we did it. They were in and gone by early afternoon. The installers answered every question we had and even the ones we couldn't think of. They gave us a lot of information. I was very pleased with them.

We saw display at one of the fairs and I fell in love with the size of the shower and how nice it was. I've been wanting just a shower stall in my house for so many years. And this is an easy way of having one installed without having to take the whole bathroom apart. I mean I like the product. I saw it. I saw the advertisement. My sister-in-law had a bathtub re-finish or something by them years ago, and I liked what they did at their house. Like I said, when I saw it at the fair, I was impressed by the products that they had. So that's why we went with them.

I have recommended Bath Fitter to a lot of people. They were just great, the best.

We had a tub removed and then had a handicap-accessible shower unit installed and a high rise toilet installed as well two years ago. I actually did it at my dad's home. He's 97 and it was difficult for him to get in and out of the standard bathtub, and so we decided to go with the shower unit which serves his needs very well. Also, my husband and I live in a 55 and over community and we selected the high rise toilets when we moved in, and that is a great asset for anybody who has any form of arthritis or difficulty getting up and down. So we wanted to put that in for him.

I had really researched the available companies and Bath Fitter did great advertising at the time, and I always liked kind of the look of what I saw. My daughter, who lives in Philadelphia (she was renting), her landlady gave one of the tub insert type things and I thought they did a beautiful job on that. She was in a very old building and they had done something really nice with the tile and the tub. So I was familiar with the company itself and confident in the work that they did.

I do have to say that the two people that came to do the installation were outstanding. I don't have their names. They did it all in one day. They said that they will complete the whole thing in one day, which was like there's no way they're going to do it in one day - they did and they were very polite. I mean they were wonderful to my father. They told him ahead of time when the water was going to have to be shut off so if he needed to use the facility. They were very courteous and compassionate. They cleaned up after themselves amazingly well. I mean they took all the stuff out that had to be taken out. And the two of them, the plumber and the guy that did the installation, just were very, very good.

I've seen some of Bath Fitter's work previously and the way they advertised it. They stood behind their product. I just felt very confident. When I called them, they were prompt in setting up their first appointment. The fellow that comes out to do the estimate is different from the guy that does the installation. And the only difficulty we ran into was the guy that did the estimate and showed me the kind of things that we could put in there was planning that we could put in the glass shower doors. And when the day of installation came (we ordered it as part of the package), the shower doors for an elderly person would have been way too close to the toilet. This is a very small bathroom and we came to an agreement that instead of doing the shower doors, we were going to arrange to do the pole with the shower curtains, that it would be safer. And Bath Fitter took the full cost of the shower doors off of what the cost was they have estimated. There's no questions asked and I mean they were very good about that. I mean I felt that that was really very good customer service.

I would definitely recommend them and if I ever was in a position where I needed to have any work like this done or my family did, I would definitely go with Bath Fitter.

It was a shower surround that I have installed from Bath Fitter. I've had a couple of them done. The last one is probably 8 months ago/ 9 months ago. I have rental properties. It's just a surface thing. All of my tenants like them. The ordering and installation processes were very easy. They did a good job and they cleaned up after themselves and it was very, very professional.

We had a good experience with them. I'm enjoying my bathtub. It was this past summer when I had that put in. My husband died in September and I had talked him into having it done not too long before that. Every time I'd mention we need a new bathtub, he'd say no. And then I had made the appointment. I said, 'I've made an appointment!' And he said okay. The guy came. I said, 'Now, how much is this gonna cost me?' before he even came in. He said that would be about two or three thousand dollars or something like that. My husband said, 'No way.' He said, 'Well, what did you have in mind?' I said, 'I just need the tub. I don't need anything else.' And he said, 'Let me make a phone call,' and he did. And they came in and they told me what it would be. And before my husband could say anything, I said, 'Good. We'll have it done.'

The installer just put the tub over the original tub. I think the guy was only here for a couple of hours. They did a beautiful job and I thoroughly enjoy it. I didn't need anything else. My ceramic tile was fine. Everything was fine, but the tub was atrocious. It was a pink tub evidently, originally. Somebody has evidently had it painted before we bought the house eight years ago. And then it slowly started getting pink spots. He was excellent. The installer did a beautiful job. Everything was just fine. He did a super job. I highly recommend them.

Every noon we'd sit down to lunch and Bath Fitter would come - their advertising came on. And I'd say, 'I'm going to call them.' And my husband would say, 'No, you're not.' I'm very pleased with it. It was excellent. The salesman was wonderful and the guy that came to install was equally as good. It was a good experience.

I had Bath Fitter do my upstairs bathroom and it was fine. They took out an old bathtub and they put in a shower stall. They did the whole wall - the thing that covered the walls and the floor. Before they did that, they kinda leveled the floor. I guess one of my pipes was leaking - they fixed that. They kinda filled in the back wall that was kinda faulty. And then they put in the plastic piece (the thing - I don't know what it's made of exactly), the walls and the shower floor. I bought one that had a built-in seat, and I had them put grab bars (because it's my mother's bathroom) and then sliding doors and nice, big shower stall. It was in the summer, a year and a half, I think.

It was a mess. There was an old bathtub in there that had stains on the bottom that wouldn't come out and the wall was peeling (the paint). I already had a bathtub and another bath in the house, so I just wanted to replace it with a shower stall (something easier for my mother to get in and out of). They had a big selection. They had all kinds of variations or what they could do with the space I had. It was very smooth. They came out here, they showed me what they had, I picked what I wanted, and it just went. The installation took one day. They came out here to look at the space and do it. And they were able to do the whole thing in one day. They came early. They came at like 7 in the morning and they were done by 5 or 6.

We love the quality. It's been great. I talked to someone else who had it done actually that's why I chose Bath Fitter. And I wanted something just quick and compact and that's it. It was quick and easy. I would just say 'were efficient and a good value'.

It was quick and easy. It was what I was looking for. And I guess my tenants are happy with them, so I'm happy. It's a tub and shower combination. I did have one tenant tell me that she really liked it. The house I live in now, my actual house is a Bath Fitter. I worked with them a year ago for my rental unit. The tub surround and tub were probably 30 years old. And I didn't have a lot of time to rip out the bathroom and all that. And I figured it'd be a quick fix and it was and it came out nice. I had the soap, the shelving in the corner. That was it.

The guy comes out, takes the measurement, bam, bam, he sends it off, but it was just days before they got right to it. It might have been a little longer than that because I know the same crew was doing a bunch of places down. He was real good. He pretty much explained what he was doing and why and stuff. I like the guy. He was pretty informative.

If you wanted a full restoration, then obviously you're not gonna be interested in Bath Fitter. But if someone asked me, as I did (I asked questions and got some positive responses from people that had Bath Fitter come in), I would do it yeah. If someone wanted a quick and easy fix that was durable and well done, I would definitely say go to Bath Fitter. It was a nice experience. I didn't have to worry about anything. The guy came in, showed me the samples, and took measurements. I didn't have to do anything. He's doing all the work. It was a really nice experience.

I recently had a bathtub replacement done by Bath Fitter of west of Detroit. We were led to believe that we would get the best quality, wider sized bathtub. It turns out that we only got a same sized basic tub. Also, the color was in a different shade, obviously not the color we ordered. We specifically requested one-day installation. We waited four weeks for the tub and surround installation and another three weeks for the shower door installation. For the premium price we paid, we’re supposed to get a good customer service. But this company obviously follows the one rule: “We got your money. If you’re unhappy about the product and service, be unhappy.” What a crap! We could have hired any other number of contractors/companies to do the job a lot cheaper. I will never recommend this company or product.

After posting on this website and receiving calls from the company's customer service managers we worked together to come to a reasonable agreement. Bath Saver/Bath Fitter refunded $1,139 to me and kept $1,000 since the cancellation was made after the installation measurements were done. I told the customer service manager that I was angry after talking to the sales manager when I had to cancel the job.

The sale manager who had come out with another salesman to make the sale had left me feeling very unhappy because he came across as so unyielding when I requested to receive some portion of the 35% down payment I made and not giving me any other option of some one else to talk to. The customer service manager admitted they dropped the ball and said he would be willing to make the deal I stated above. I am raising their star rating now because of the resolution.

    Original Review: Jan. 17, 2013

This company has no regard for good customer relationships. Because of unexpected financial hardship, we had to cancel our order and were treated like a widget or sales number instead of people. It appears that they are more about marketing and sales than caring about the needs and concerns of the customer and listening to reasonable requests. What happened to good customer relations in business dealings? This company is more concerned with selfish greed than providing a service to a customer base wanting a good quality service at a reasonable cost.

After talking about our dilemma with some other people, I learned the hard way that I should have done my homework first before calling Bath Fitter. They are charging at least twice what other contractors charge for replacing an old shower stall. They charged $6,139 just to replace a shower stall and fixtures, not even to mold over an existing one. The markup is ridiculous and goes for the slick marketing and sales they use to lure the customer. Buyer beware because I was taken and lost $2,139 for getting nothing in return except the cold shoulder.

I would like to retract my original review of Bath Fitter. It appears that after my salesman left, I talked to a person that was unaware of how long I had had the liner and surround. They also didn't know that I had called the day after installation. After I wrote the review in anger, I was contacted by the manager and he was very understanding and a "problem solver". He sent his installer to replace two pieces of trim that was not even their fault. (I had tile cut and removed from walls after the surround was installed. This left their end pieces cut for the tile and I needed pieces not cut to tile, but fitted to drywall.)

He and I, neither one could determine why the caulk turned yellow. I have since researched it on internet and several people have had this happen to their caulk but none were Bath Fitter customers. I never found an answer to the "why" though. He also said to call him after my contractor was finished with the bathroom and they would come by and replace the caulking around the tub. The caulking on shelf and around the trim did not turn yellow. It just appears that I talked to the wrong people and wrote a review in anger. Sorry for the bad review since it seems that the Nashville Bath Fitter does do what they promise.

I spoke with the wrong person after my salesman left the company. After speaking with the correct person, almost all my issues have been resolved. I am to call when my contractor is finished and they will replace the caulking around the tub.

None of the other caulking turned yellow so I'm at a loss as to what caused it. Checked on the internet and several people had same problem but they were not Bath Fitter customers and nobody had any idea what caused it.The end pieces of the surround has been replaced and that was not their fault but mine. I had the surround installed before taking the tile down so their pieces were cut to meet tile. Had to be replaced to meet drywall and they came and replaced it. Bath Fitters of Nashville, Tennessee, does correct problems and I would recommend them. They went far above what I expected and I do appreciate that.

    Original Review: Dec. 5, 2012

After only 4 months, the surround started discoloring, and I was told it was caused by smoking. Nobody smokes in the bathroom or near it! Also, they were going to cover the walls too, but I decided to have the tile removed, and that was a very good idea since the contractor discovered that water had leaked under the tile and the support wood was rotten. (You could not see this in the bathroom - tile looked great!) If we had spent all that money on the rest of the bathroom, the floor would probably have fallen in within six months or so. I called BathFitter to ask them if I could get the trim for the surround so that my contractor could replace the piece they installed (which was cut to fit around the tile that is no longer there). I was informed that only they could install it for $75 an hour. It's a piece of plastic! What a rip-off this company is! I'm just so glad that I hired a contractor instead of letting them do the whole bathroom. I'm sorry to say that we wasted our money on the surround and bathtub liner. Get a contractor! Mess or no mess, it's worth it!

Bath Fitter is a scam and terrible investment for your home. Although the product itself is not that bad, it is the installation and sale that make this company a joke. The prices are marked up beyond belief. A tub only cost the company around $400 and the simple white wall is only $200. If you buy a valve and trim kit, they charge over $900. It only costs around $150 from any supply house. Seriously, they charge $250 for a $40-grab bar. And anchoring it into studs, yeah right. They use those cheap plastic anchors. The walls are held up with spray glue and a little special stuff they called butyl. Good product but wrong application. They all eventually come loose, and they might come back and pump a bunch of adhesive behind the wall and try to restick it.

The more you pay, the more the salesman makes. They will sell you a $4000 bathroom and turn around the next day and sell the exact same thing for $2800. If you do not sign a contract the day of the sales pitch, they say you won't get this "great deal" again. Not true, if you don't sign, they will keep calling and eventually give you almost $2000 off. They call it a rehash. They constantly call people at the end of the year to get more money on their books. The installers are paid a percentage of the job. So the more expensive the job and the faster they do it, the more money they make. Although some of them are good craftsman, it all boils down to how fast I can get this done. If you are lucky enough to get a rehash price, I feel sorry for you. The installers hate these because they are low cost = low pay. I guarantee every job has something wrong or the prep work installed incorrectly. What's behind the wall is the most important thing and it is always where the shortcuts are made.

I know for a fact that they cover up so many things that they should remove and fix - Tile falling off, mold, ants - the less they remove, the faster the job gets done. If you are not constantly looking over their shoulder, I guarantee they are doing shortcuts. They "stick" the new wall right over old damaged, wet tile and don't even think twice. The reason I am expressing my feelings is because I just watched Holmes Inspections Episode 69 Steamed, and it made me realize how much I hated working for Bath Fitter. This episode is perfect showcase of the job you will get from Bath Fitter. That's right. I hate to say it, but I was an installer; and it is a terrible job knowing how horrible the management expected us to perform work. I have ethics and had to put them aside in order to maintain my employment in order to be able to provide for my family. I would never recommend using Bath Fitter, even if it's a lot cheaper than another system. It is crap. Management is crap.

    Response from Bath Fitter

Bath Fitter of St Louis has been delighting customers since 2005; We have several thousand happy customers in Metro St Louis alone, who are thrilled with the product, and workmanship. Good, bad, or indifferent, this site is not about that, so these experiences are not typically shared here. We find it unfortunate that a former employee would offer clearly biased (and incorrect) opinions that would unfairly shed a negative light on the integrity of our many employees, and our company, but then again we must consider the bias of the source and simply move on as our focus is on our customers, and employees who understand the importance of Team Accountability, Personal Responsibility, and operating within guidelines that are in keeping with our Company's Mission Statement. One objective fact: Our St Louis (and company-wide) Customer Satisfaction scores are in keeping with some of the world’s most successful, and recognizable brands, and organizations, and that is achieved as a result of our employees’ continued dedication.

To suggest that EVERY single project any specialized home renovator has undertaken over their lifetime has gone flawlessly, however admirable, would be unrealistic, and untrue. These are custom-made applications, and there are always many, many variables, and humans involved.

Consumers rate the brands that they purchase from not only based on whether or not every transaction has been perfect every time; On the odd occasion where something may not go as expected, consumers rate a brand on how expeditiously, and professionally the situation was solved. We take great pride in our proven track record in all of these areas. Although our St Louis office opened in 2005, Bath Fitter has been in existence since 1984, and we have over 200 locations across North America. We simply cannot think of a company that would be foolish enough to offer a lifetime warranty on its products and services if they felt that their application were a quick fix, or would not last. Until there is a site that allows a company to legally, publicly disclose reasons for employment terminations, we cannot say more about the events surrounding the nature of this complaint. We are very proud of our dedicated teams of employees, and of our Company’s track record across North America!

Last year, they had done a full bath with three walls, a bathtub and shower faucet for the same price. When I asked why it cost the same for half the material and half the labor, they said it's the same for both. They must believe we're all idiots to buy that. Well, I found another company who will not only replace the shower, but for $2400. Buyer, beware. This company is a ripoff. By the way, the job they did for me last year was poor at best.

May I also say that dad was working with VA on this, and out of a list of 27 contractors, we only had one other who even came out. They told us that it may be 4 weeks before they could get to us, as they receive most of the VA contracts in our area (didn't have to tell us that after we had contacted the others). In 3 weeks, they came and started on our bathroom. In two days, they have completely torn out the old bathroom with rotting floors and moldy walls and have built a new wall, base and install of 4x4 shower. And Mr. Ron ** (our man) was wonderful.

About 4 years ago, we had Bath Fitter come out and replace our tub and surrounding walls. Salesman was a joke as he kept trying to sell us more than what we wanted. Bottom line, they came when they said they would, installers were professional, and everything went well except we did not receive the tub we ordered but settled for a standard tub and they reimbursed us the difference between the tub we picked and the standard tub. No problem!

Four years later, we noticed that our tub seemed rough on the bottom and wasn't cleaning well. I cleaned and cleaned (with authorized recommended cleaners that Bath Fitter said we should use); I even used bleach. Tub still seemed dirty. I called Bath Fitter's customer service, and they sent a technician to look at my tub. After he scrubbed and looked at the tub, he said that it appeared pitted from a chemical reaction. He asked what type of cleaner I used, and I showed it to him. I advised him that I would never use a cleaner that would damage the tub (they gave me a list), because I knew it would void the warranty and damage the tub. He said it appeared to be chemical damage and knew that Bath Fitter would not warrant the tub, but he would talk to his manager and see if they would replace it.

The manager was on vacation but called me today. He said that it wasn't covered, that it was a chemical reaction. I told him we had not used anything in the tub other than the cleaners they recommend and oil that I put in my bath. The manager then said, “Well, it was a chemical reaction to an unauthorized cleaner.” I again told him what I used, and he basically called me a liar. Then, he said, "Well, we can test the tub and see if you used something that wasn't authorized." Why didn't he just say, “Ma’am, you are a liar!”?

I have not used anything to clean my tub that wasn't on their list. I would never recommend their product as long as I live, and I think their Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired! Be Careful! Buyer beware. So, if I could afford to have it replaced once, I can do it again, except this time, I will replace it with a superior product - good old porcelain! We could have hired any other number of contractors/companies to do the job cheaper. I thought I was leaving my parents in capable hands. We paid $5,800.00 some odd dollars. No financing. The installer came around 10AM, left at 7:30PM and the job was not done. His torch was broke. He also had a family emergency. The estimator who took our order did not order the ceiling portion of the shower. So to "make up" for the problems of the previous day, the manager from Knoxville, TN said he would give us the ceiling for free.

We still paid $5,800.00. The only discount we got was the initial 10% off. Now approximately two weeks later, Bath Fitter have to come back and reinstall the floor of the shower because the original installer did not level it correctly and the shower does not drain out the water. The water sits in the base. Bath Fitter has not offered to reduce our cost. They are making my parents wait for some unknown reason to me. They have not contacted me, I am the main contact person. We do not know what caused the stain but it etched the acrylic finish right off the tub. A manager came out to look at it and said it was probably the result of hair dye or some other chemical. We have no knowledge of any hair dye or chemical spill on the tub. Furthermore, Bath Fitters does not say anything about not using hair dye on their website. Even if they did, what kind of material won't stand up to hair dye?

When I told the owner about the bump in the tub, he said that the bump would not be covered under warranty even though they created the bump when they did the first repair. He stated that it could not be returned to the factory because of the stain! He offered to re-glue the wall surround and that's it. The company has been a nightmare to work with and I would never recommend them to anyone. The material does not hold up and the workmanship is shoddy. They charged $800 to install Moen Brantford tub and faucet fixtures. They retail at $290 maximum. That mark is ridiculous especially for a shower head that has poor water pressure. The workmanship of the entire liner is poor. It is very easy to feel soft spots in the wall. It is just a matter of time before the caulk sealer gives way. Given the amount of movement the wall does, I will be surprised if it lasts the summer.

I was a customer of Bath Fitter in July of 2002. In March of this year (2012), I wanted to replace the window in my bathtub. When I had someone come to look at it, they noticed the workmanship around the window and could see areas where the vinyl was lifting and not fitted properly. I called Bath Fitter to have someone come out to see it; they sent out branch manager Mike **. He said hew would send someone out to take everything out. When it was done (with them forgetting to remove the tub), you could see where the bottom of the window was rotted, as well as the wood underneath it and the mold around it. Now, Mike doesn't remember saying he'd take everything out. I think Bath Fitter should pay for everything since it wasn't properly sealed and water was dripping in it for 10 years. Also, what about the lifetime warranty? I will be posting pictures online as well as contacting the BBB and the attorney general.

Last week, I took a loan 7 to 8 thousand dollars and signed on for a shower in bathroom. They came out. It was installed. It looks beautiful. After waiting the required time, I got into the shower and my bathroom flooded. I'm upset now! I called. The installer came back out very quickly. Still pleased with them. Then, he called his boss and said, ''I found pinhole leak.'' His boss said, "cut his ceiling, fix his leak, and then fix his ceiling."

That info was relayed to me by the installer. The installer cut the living room ceiling, fixed leak very quickly, said he would be back after he found ceiling tiles to match. Still very happy with them. Today, however, I called them and I am getting a song and dance about how they are not going to find the tiles. I just did my whole living room and dining room walls and ceiling, etc. All fresh paint, etc., and they are going to desert me after they cut my ceiling up? I can't do this myself! No! I paid a lot of money for this! I need a finished job. I can't borrow more money for this! I am a retired man on fixed income. I trusted them to finish this! This is not the end of this!

All I had done was just a floor for my master bath. I was having trouble keeping grout in the tile and since it is an upstairs bath, I wanted a solid floor to make sure I had no leaks. The first floor they installed, bubbled up and came loose and popped and cracked when you walked on it, so I complained. They came out, took up all the floor and put down another floor. I waited 2 days to use to make sure it dried good. When I looked in the shower, there was another big bubble. They were due back out today, 05/23/2012, for a 10:00 appointment. They did not show or call. This is truly unbelievable. I would be very careful in doing anything with Bath Fitters. I was interested in remodeling our 1950s bathroom, which has an old cast iron tub that is scratched and stained. Due to the configuration of the bathroom, it would be better for us to refinish the existing bathtub rather than try to remove it and replace it. I want to keep the tile walls. I have a friend, who had their bath done by Bath Fitters, and was extremely happy with it. But I also have another friend, who had a bad experience with Bath Fitters. So I thought I would give them a try and get a free estimate.

I ran into Bath Fitters at a local RV show and spoke with the representative. She was very nice and talked me into giving my phone number. The products looked wonderful, and I thought this would be a nice solution to redo the tub without a major bathroom overhaul. I just wanted the tub covering, not the walls, etc. I explained this to her.

Someone called from Bath Fitters several days later, and I explained to her again that I was just interested in the tub covering, not any other products. She said that would be fine and that they would schedule an appointment. She asked what time I and my husband could be home. I explained to her that this is my project, and my husband has nothing to do with it. He works shift work and overtime, and there is no way I know his schedule ahead of time. I also work two jobs and have limited free time. I practically begged her to send someone out to give me a "free estimate," but she said she could not send someone unless my husband was present. She would have to speak with her supervisor and get back to me.

Since then (This was in January.), no one has called from Bath Fitters. After reading some of the complaints on this website, I am glad I did not follow through with this. It is very insulting to be a working woman and told you cannot make a decision without your husband present. If my husband called, would they have cared if I was present? We have spent over $100k on renovations to this house, and I am the one who has dealt with the numerous contractors and subcontractors, not my husband. I also work for a contractor full-time, and I know how the business works.

Bath Fitters seems like nothing but a sales pitch to try to get you to spend on products you do not want. Thanks goodness, I did not schedule the appointment. I will now have someone come and refinish the porcelain coating instead. Bath Fitters lost a potential customer because of their sexist and archaic business practices.

In 2006, BF installed a tub liner and walls in my bathroom. I since then have called them on a few occasions to come out and drain the tub between the liner and the original tub. They sent out a gentleman the first time who drained it and caulked around the tub enclosure. When I called the second time to complain about the same instance happening, they asked me if I had walls installed and that maybe that was the problem. They also asked how far the water was to the drain and said to call them back when the water reached the drain area. So when I called, they sent the same gentleman again and he drained the tub again and re-caulked again. This year, I called BF to have someone come out for the same problem again: retaining water between the insert and the tub.

The first person I spoke to was very arrogant and told me that there had to be a reason for it happening and said that he would leave a message for the office to call me for an appointment. I received a call from Diane and explained the situation and told her that this had happened before. She said that she would speak to the owner and ask him what action he would take in this situation and that she would need to look up all the paperwork on this job. After not hearing from her for several weeks, I called the office and left a message on their answering machine that I would call Channel 12 News and expose their business.

I finally got a call back from the office to set an appointment for someone to come out and take care of the problem. When the gentleman arrived, he was there for about an hour. When he was done, he explained what he had done. He said that he had to re-caulk the tub and that the mechanism that is behind the water handle was a little loose and that the water may have gotten in through there. Then he proceeded to tell me that the water could have come in through a crack on the caulking. I don't really think he knew what really the problem was. He even told me that once I had re-caulked the tub myself, the contract becomes void. Really! I just think that they use every excuse as to what the real problem is. He even was going to charge me for it. Please! I will never, ever recommend this company to anyone. If anyone does get a job done from them, good luck.

Bath Fitters at 2023 S. Nicklas Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73128; 405-378-0378; Donna - owner: I hired Bath Fitters to install a bathtub/wall surround/ceiling unit as well as a vanity counter top in my master bath. I was assured that the job would be completed in a day and a half and that the quality would be exactly as it appears in their showroom. I was further advised that of the $6,000.00 cost, half was due at the time of order and the other half was due at the time of completion. I paid $5,000 of the bill prior to them beginning the work. This left $1,006 still due to them upon completion of the job. Bath Fitters sent a plumber on day one and then sent a different person to install the tub/wall/ceiling portion the next day, then sent another person to install the counter top on a completely different day.

The tub installation was absolutely shoddy. They took out the old shower unit and were bringing in the new wall portions to install. They had taken out old insulation from the walls that was damaged or wet, but had no intention of replacing any insulation. I had to ask them if they were going to replace insulation in the wall when I noticed that they were preparing to install the walls without it. I had to go buy the insulation myself, and put it in. They were not going to deal with any of that. I should have been advised of this during their sales pitch.

When the installer put up the wall portions, the walls were cut too short and he tried to hide the half inch gap in the middle of the wall by placing a piece of rubber trim right in the middle of the wall. Yes, that's right. Not at the bottom of the wall or the top, right in the middle. The wall is supposed to be one piece, not cut and pieced together like a puzzle. Not only that, but the piece of rubber trim was cut too short and didn't cover the open space between the seams. The caulking was terrible and had bubbles, gaps, and some areas were completely void of any caulking at all. The floor portion of the new install is about 6 inches shorter than the original so I now have 6" of bare concrete between the tub and floor of the bathroom.

Of course, the installer left my home without even letting me know he was finished. I expected him to do a visual inspection with me when he finished. I thought he was coming back the next morning to install the counter top so I was going to deal with these issues with him then. He never came back. A different installer was sent to install the vanity counter top. When this installer was finished installing the counter top, he also left without letting me know and without looking it over with me.

The counter top was cut completely uneven, did not match up with the back splash and the corners of the back splash did not match up either. The counter top itself was cut 1/2 inch short and none of the gaps were even filled. The back splash ledges were 1/2 off in height of each other where they meet in the corners. The back bottom corner of the back splash, where it meets up with the counter top, had a 1/2 inch gap between there as well and was cut crooked. They had also apparently measured the height of the back splash incorrectly, as there is now one inch of bare wall space where the walls used to meet the back splash. This only matters because the walls are textured, and now that one inch space all around the back splash is not.

I was told by Bath Fitters that I would have to paint the bare space on the walls before they could come back and caulk the counter top. Apparently, they measured incorrectly and didn't want to replace the back splash. Isn't that part of this job? The installer also left silicone sealant all over the top of the counter top, all over the back splash, and all over the walls above the back splash. Pathetic workmanship. I could not paint the wall, as the silicone that the installer had gotten all over the walls would not come off and the paint would not stick. Bath Fitters has come back twice to fix these issues and still the job is not done. The franchise owner of this location does not care enough about their customer service to come out and look at this instead they sent out a 4th person to take photographs. Photographs do not depict the problems correctly.

This process began in November, 2011 and it is now March 2012. The problems still are not resolved. I received my credit card statement a couple of days ago and lo and behold, on 02-23-2012 Bath Fitter charged my credit card the remaining $1,006. They did this without my knowledge, without my consent or authorization and without completing this job. I did not receive a letter advising me they were going to do this or a phone call either. I find this to be fraudulent and unethical. I called Donna with Bath Fitters who refuses to remove the charge. I have filed a dispute claim with my credit card holder but that doesn't fix the shoddy workmanship of Bath Fitters. I am completely disgusted with this company and their complete lack of customer care and workmanship. So much for one and a half days professional job.

The first problem arose in our master bathroom when Bath Fitters installed the wrong tub insert. The excessive space between the original steel tub and the acrylic insert was so pronounced that the seal around the outlet flange was compromised and water filled the void between the two units. This caused the tub insert to completely separate from the old tub. Just stepping in it sounded like walking trough a muddy marsh. Eventually the incorrect insert was replaced with one that fit correctly, but the tub facade is just plain ugly.

Next, we decided to have BF re-do a tiled stall shower in our second full bath off the master bedroom. The first problem that we noticed was that the aluminum strip that is supposed to interact with the flexible seal under the shower door was installed backwards, so I corrected this botched job myself. The next issue I noticed was that the drain hole that was cut in the acrylic base was way off center from where the waste line pipe was located under the floor. Rather than fabricating a new base, the installer decided to fill the misaligned holes with gobs of silicone caulk so as to direct the water in the base of the shower to where the waste pipe was located. In addition to the off-center hole, there was no pitch in the base toward the drain hole so water would just stand in the bottom of the shower for days until it eventually evaporated.

We called BF about the problem and they sent yet another guy out who tried to fabricate another base with a pitch over the prior one. Instead of removing the previously installed base with the off-center drain hole, this guy cuts still another off-center hole and attempts to create a pitch in flat sheet stock by building up the outer edges with excess adhesive strips. Guess what? Flat sheet material is resistant to compound curves and bends. That didn't stop this guy from trying, though. We even had Kevin (president and so-called master plumber of BF) come and inspect the job and I don't think he ever had a clue as to any of the things that were done wrong.

A few days ago we discovered that the Moen flow control valve was not delivering hot water, so we paid a visit to our local BF office to have one of their installers take a look at it. We were told to expect someone between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 pm. Six o'clock rolls around and still no knock on the door. We called BF to find out where this guy is. We were told that he was running late and wouldn't be available until 7:00 pm. At this point, I reached my limit with BF and told the woman on the phone to cancel the appointment and that I would never let another BF employee step into my home again. I have decided to avoid further disappointment and fix the problem myself.

In 2006, I had a water leak from the kitchen ceiling from upstairs shower enclosure. I had Bath Fitters of Warren, MI redo the shower enclosure to fix the problem. They redid it and from outward appearance, we were satisfied. I did not replace the ceiling section downstairs, only repaired and repainted it. Periodically, I re-caulked the caulking around the inside shower perimeter base when it appeared to need doing so and things seemed okay. Around June 2011, water started dripping from the ceiling again. I did not know how long it had been accumulating before it deteriorated its way through the repaired spot.

On July 2011, Bath Fitter of Warren, MI sent out a very nice salesman. I have been told that my enclosure is not of standard size so the standard tubs that are installed to prevent leaking do not fit. It appears Bath Fitter's only barrier against water leaking into my kitchen ceiling is the caulking. I contend that caulking along is not adequate protection. The salesman gets back to me and tells me that he has no solution and has been told a higher authority would get back to me. They sent out a repairman who said he was here to re-caulk. I told him he could but that was not a permanent fix. He was very nice and caulked it very well.

Then, a "higher authority" person came out. He seemed very genuine and seemed to want to help, but then, he later said he lacked authority and the decision had passed to Brian Conroy, I believe the owner. I set up an appointment with Brian. In morning of the appointment, he called and had to reschedule. Morning of this next appointment, he called to say he was too sick and I surely did not want him in my house in the condition he was in. He would call me the next week to reschedule. He never called.

End of following week, I called him. He is still too sick and would call first of next week to reschedule. He never called, so I called and he says that he has been too busy catching up but would surely call first of next week (week of October 24, 2011). He never called. I called this morning October 26, 2011 and he is not in the office, I am told. I left messages. I am also calling I believe a cell number he used to call me and have left messages with no response so far. My goal has been to meet with him, explain and show the problem, and get from him what kind of solution he proposes as a fair solution for his customer.

I am a retired automotive Senior and Plant Buyer and had a lot of experience with suppliers. I know it is not easy running and surviving as a business. I know all companies make mistakes and have problems. I contend it is not so much that you occasionally have them but how you respond to and handle them is what matters most. It may look pretty, but beware of what is behind the walls! We had a double sized shower stall installed in 2005 to replace a bathtub. The shower looks beautiful. About three months ago, water started to drip from our kitchen ceiling under the shower. Then one day, a chunk of the ceiling fell down along with chunks of old tiles and debris.

An inspection of the drain showed that the shower drain was lower than the old tub drain (water doesn't run uphill) and was pieced into the old drain with a rubber collar and hose clamps. The collar was dripping and eventually destroyed the ceiling. I had the plumbing repaired by my own plumber as it was an emergency situation.

When Bath Fitters came out, they ruled that they would not pay for the plumbing repairs since I did not use their plumbers. They also refused to pay for the ceiling because they said that it was damaged at the time of installation. Of course, it was! That's why we had the tub replaced in the first place! We have receipts for the ceiling repair done immediately after the shower was installed.

Bath Fitter is a completely unreliable company. I contracted with them to renovate a tile shower in our home and have had nothing but trouble and excuses from them. The salesman was great, but I think he was mislead as to what the company could do and how they would do it. The biggest complaint that I have is that they do not follow-through on what they promised.

They told me that they would be out to install our shower and then never showed up or called. When I finally called them, they gave me some lame excuses and barely apologized for my loss time at work. Bath Fitter rescheduled for another day the following week. And guess what, they never showed up for a 2nd time! I called again and my calls went unanswered. I could only get in touch with Brancen who genuinely seemed surprised at what I told him. He said he was not told there were any problems with the install and would go to the office and find out what the problem was. Then, they did finally install our shower.

I want everyone to know that Bath Fitter does not use a licensed plumber to do the work! Yes, that is correct. When I asked the installer how long he had been a plumber, he honestly told me he was not a plumber, but that he had been doing this type of work for almost 4 years! Wow! I paid over $6k for a bathroom remodel and they aren't even using a licensed plumber. The installer was great (and honest) and told me the company only uses a licensed plumber on big or complicated jobs. It saves them money. Well, they have not finished my job. The one day installation has turned into 4 weeks and counting!

Please do yourself a favor and avoid Bath Fitter at all costs. They over-charge for their services and are not even licensed to do the work they are selling! Listen carefully to their sales pitch. They use "factory trained and certified" installers.. What a nice use of words to make you feel good. And I must also warn everyone that they will try to pressure you into signing a contract that night by offering you a discount because it saves them money and they want to pass along the savings to you.

Don't fall for it. It doesn't save them any money because the sales guy is on 100% commission, uses his own vehicle, and pays for his own gas. Thanks for being honest with us, Brancen. They will offer to take 10% off if you place your order that night.. Don't be sucked in. We didn't place the order that night because we needed to go to our own bank and within a week, the lady in their office was already calling us to offer even more money off to earn our business!

The are a complete scam. They installed a similar Bath Fitter for a neighbor of ours and they only paid $4k. Brancen tried to tell us that there was a price increase due to oil prices. Really? It's $2k more in less than a year.

    Beware! Beware! Beware!

They charged us over $800 to install a faucet, and then did not even use a licensed plumber for the work!

I had a new tub installed in my rental suite. It was an unusual job and a difficult one so paying $4500 dollars to install it, I thought, I would take no chances and do it right. The tub had to be ordered in 4-6 weeks delivery.

Day 1: Once the tub was removed, the installer said the drain tap was too high for their tub and he needed to get a plumber to come and drill concrete to get it lower. Day 2: I got a plumber and he said no drilling needed and he was unsure why it had not been installed right away. After calling multiple times, I finally got Bath Fitter to come back to finish the job. I was not a priority, they originally gave me a date for two weeks later! I complained and complained saying, "If you were a tenant, how many days would you not take a shower for?". They eventually got a cancellation and came Friday of that week.

Day 5: The wrong tub arrives, too big for the enclosure. I ripped out the wall to get it to fit as the salesman measured wrong in the first place. The worker almost walked on the job right then. Don't blame him (apparently, workers hate working for them. Awesome!). The faucets are on backwards. Hot is cold, cold is hot (which they said they would fix). Finally when it was all done, it does looks great and I thanked my installer for all his hard work because I know he's getting more screwed than I am.

But read all the FINE PRINT. They are not plumbers and if they find any reason not to do it in one day, they won't. Write down everything the salesman guarantees! Yes, I'm just a dumb consumer who fell for all your marketing and didn't read the back of my contract thoroughly. Unlike McDonald's, if I ordered something and it's not right, I'll get a new one at every location.

I've worked in a customer service. I understand that I'm not going to get my tub for free and I'm not asking for that but a "Hey, here's a free bar of soap" or "Hey, we're SORRY for the inconvenience". ANYTHING! The manager here in Vancouver, BC had no sympathy. For the price and headache, it was not worth it in my situation.

We contacted Bathfitters in May and a representative came out. After the presentation we were verbally quoted between $2500 - $3000 per bathroom. (Total of $5000-$6000 as we have 2 bathrooms) We inquired about financing and the rep said he would call us back that night with an answer. We did not hear from him that night or the next day, so I had to track him down because he did not leave a business card or an estimate. Upon reaching him he informed me that we would need $2000 down, and he specifically told me that they needed 90% based on our credit. Well, we didn't have $2000 so we waited. We now have $3000 so I called Bathfitters back thinking that we will move forward with at least 1 bathroom.

The same representative came out, wrote up the paperwork and just informed us that the cost is $6400-$3000 down = $3400 due upon completion of the bathroom. When we questioned him on the difference he started packing up his materials, refused to leave any paperwork and while my husband and I were staring at each other in confusion, the representative simply walked out of our house! He didn't say anything - he didn't even close the front door. (we have the A/C on) He just walked out! It is so bizarre. At this point it is apparent that we are not valued as a potential customer since we are not able to finance and apparently $3000 is not enough to make us important. At this point I would not do business with this company regardless if they would do the work for free.

I have never written a review before on something I have done to my home. But I felt this needed to be seen by others.

My wife and I were looking to remodel our bathroom as it had a pink tub and old tile walls. The house built in the 70s. Like most homeowners, we started asking friends and family if they new anyone. I come to find out three of my family members used bath fitter and they all loved it. We only have one full bath and my wife was panicking that we will not have the use of it for a week or more based on some of our friends that had regular contractors to theirs. So my wife went to the mall and checked out their display—and, boy, was she impressed! The person working there went over all the benefits of the one day installation and how she can clean it with just Windex.

She filled out a card so some one could contact us. Within two days, a very nice lady called to set up a time that my wife and I could be there together as there are lots of colors and options to pick. I know I could not do this without her as we have been married a long time and if I picked the wrong thing I would never hear the end of it! Anyway we did set up a time we would be together for the appointment. Appointment was for 6:30. Well, at 6:30 the Bath Fitter guys knocked on the door right on time. Boy, that's a first. Most of the time we have someone to our home, they are late or don't show up. He introduced himself as Mark—sorry, I don't remember his last name.

Talk about someone who love their job, Mark went over all of our options to have our bath redone and even went over what other ways we could do this not using Bath Fitter. I got to tell you: he made a lot of sense. Why anyone would tear out the tub and tiles and put the same thing back is nuts! He showed us the benefits of the acrylic tub and the seamless one-piece wall with no more caulking.

Mark went over how it is a fixed-price no matter were you live. There was no 50% discount or you have to make a call to someone to get a lower price! We had that happen to us when we bought windows that were a nightmare! I think what impressed us the most was Mark showed us a reference book with 40,000 names of Bath Fitter customers in our area and told me to call anyone I wanted to. So I called three and they were all very pleased. One of the questions I did ask all of them is that if they had to do it all over again, would they go with Bath Fitter and they all said yes! So my wife and I said, “Yes.”

Within a week, we received a call for the measure tech to come out and remeasure.

I like that measure-twice-cut-once mentality. After a few weeks, they called to set an install date. On the day of installation, Dave the installer goes over everything we ordered to make sure it's right. Man, what a hard worker. He didn't even take lunch. And the thing I like was that he was a Bath Fitter employee and not a sub-contractor. When they tell you one day, they mean it. In about 9 hours, Dave was done! It looked great and my wife loved it! If she's happy, then I'm good. Again, we’ve been married a long time, guys, and you all know what I mean. Bottom line: if you are going to redo the bath, call Bath Fitter. You won't be disappointed.

There was a complaint logged on this website that involved myself and the company that I work for which is Bath Fitters. Jeff of Sod WV left a complaint about us doing his one bathroom instead of the two in his new house. I remember this case very well. This job was on hold because I had put it on hold myself. Jeff's deal with purchasing his new home was on one day then off the next and this kept going on for a month. Then he informed us that the deal with his new house had fell through. His wife also told as that she had wanted it installed in the house they were in. So we proceeded to install it in the house they were in, as the wife wanted. Jeff was also told that before we ordered the product that we would refund his deposit and after he had purchased the property he could come back and see us. In actual fact it was 91 acres and he was going to build a house on the property which possibly would have taken a year before he was ready for us. What it comes down to the customer has a choice on whether to purchase or not.

But let's put all that aside. My complaint is about Consumer Affairs. There is always two sides to a complaint and Consumer Affairs offers no opportunity for a company to put forward their side of the story. If this was the case, then maybe readers could read both stories and come to their own conclusions.

To sum up, Consumer Affairs is very much a one-sided company. If you are willing to let people write up complaints on your website and even let people use people's full names and not let those have a chance to defend themselves, then to me this makes you a worse company than all those that are listed on your website and have genuine complaints against them.

My wife and I are going to remodel our bathroom sometime this summer. We not only heard great things about Bath Fitter but we have also seen and felt the product. It is by far "cheap plastic" like some have mentioned. Everyone we talked to about their product was very satisfied and recommended for us to use them. Sure some have stated they had a problem here and there but they had a lifetime warranty, and they came right out and fixed the problem. I flipped houses for 4 years and used several different contractors to do each bathroom (before I knew about Bath Fitter), and I felt I got ripped off 50% of the time. The final bill they gave me was always higher than the initial estimate they started off with, on top of that, they put in crap and did not guarantee their work (they said they would, that is until I called them to come back out to fix a problem I had. You guessed it, they never showed up).

Everyone I talked to said the price Bath Fitter gave them when the salesman came out, was the exact price, no hidden fees. After much and careful consideration, my wife and I will use Bath Fitter to do our bathroom. I am not questioning the validity of any of the complaints and I do feel that Bath Fitter was wrong in some cases on here, but this is a very big company and for every one complaint there are hundreds of satisfied customers. How do I know? I did my homework on the company, as you should do if you are considering such a big remodeling project. In 2009 bath Fitter was ranked #4 in the Qualified Remodeler magazine (a magazine which lists the top 500 remodeling companies in the U.S.). I also checked them out on the BBB and seen that they had an A- rating. They have also been around for 27 years. Do you think a company would be around that long if all they did was screw people out of their hard earned money?

The best way I can some up Bath Fitter is this, Mcdonalds is the biggest fast food chain in America (Bath Fitter is the biggest bathroom remodeling company in America). Mcdonalds is the corporation, but has thousands of individual chains owned by different franchises. You may go to one and have superior service but go to another and swear you will never eat Mcdonalds again. Why is that, if it is owned by Mcdonalds. Shouldn't they all have superior service? Yes, but since different locations are owned by different franchises you get different service. Same is true for Bath Fitter having several locations and each location having different managers, sales reps, installers etc.., Bath Fitter has a product that is bar none to anything else. Do not let these stories make your decision whether or not to use Bath Fitter, do your own homework, talk to people who have the product and ask to see it up close. You will be surprised by how many people have them and love them and would use them all over again.

I had Bath Fitters come to my house to give me an estimate on my bathroom. I told the salesman that I wanted the bathroom remodeled but if I sold my house, I would like to have my new house done instead. It was okay with him. I wrote him a check for $2,000.00 as a deposit because I was paying for the bathroom outright; I did not need to use payments.

The following week, I sold my house and asked Thomas, the Charleston, WV representative, to put my order on hold until I got my new house built. He told me that he could not do that because he needed to get the job done. I then told him that I had sold my house and he already had my $2,000.00 down payment so why could he not wait for me to build my new house. It was going to have at least two baths that he would be able to install. He still refused to put my order on hold so I asked for my money back. He told me that I only had three days to ask for my money back.

The installer was very professional as was the installation manager, who agreed that they should have waited on me to get my new house started so they would have two or more bathrooms to do. Bath Fitters is a company who puts their needs first instead of trying to satisfy the costumer, who, in return, can give them other clients. I have told several of my friends who wanted to remodel their bathrooms not to use Bath Fitters because of the way they treated me over money that they were guaranteed to receive.

Mike ** applied extreme pressure on me and when I wouldn't do it, he called some guy, he said was his boss, George. This guy was so unprofessional, I'm surprised he represents this company. They said I had to use the 10% discount or I would lose the savings. I didn't do it. They called me 2 days later to offer me their special which is an extra 10% off. They were getting desperate and I declined.

I was thinking of the whole 1-piece concept vs 3-piece, you never really have mold up the corners of your bath walls. It's usually where the tub meets the walls. A 1-piece still has seams on the bottom just like a 3-piece but Bath Fitter charges you way more. I had a friend who worked for them and said that it costs them less than $1000 to make it but they charge you $4500 - $9000.

They say it's easier to clean the tiles but consider this, have you ever tried cleaning a sliding glass door? You never seem to get it right and if you do, its dirty immediately. Don't be fooled by these crooks. I bought a 3-piece and it's beautiful. If you do buy from Bath Fitter never do it on the first call because they will offer you more soon after. What a swell company. They will give you 20% off if you decline on first call and still make tons of profit.

Buyer, beware. The resulting damage was that they tried to pull a fast one on me. They threatened that if I didn't jump at the savings that they are offering, I would regret it. There was extreme pressure.

We had Bath Fitters of Michigan come out and give us an estimate for a tub/shower liner. We decided to go with them as they were recommended from a friend. They provided me with an article stating Gleen Hagee endorsed them, and told me that they prided themselves with no BBB complaints. The first time they came out, they had ordered the wrong color of the tub (we wanted white and they brought gray) and they missed the measure by 2 inches. The tub would not fit.

The rep guaranteed us that the installer would install a shower head we wanted, but he refused, and left our bathroom torn up. No problem.

The second time they came out, we have the following complaints: 1) the installer left a 3 feet long x 5 inch wide hole in our wall; 2) there is gouge out of the lining where they had cut the lining on the wrong side of the panel; and 3) they still refused to install our shower head. The installer's attitude towards the damaged wall was, "oh well, guess you have to have that repaired."

I then called Bath Fitters of Michigan the next morning. Brian returned my call with an unprofessional attitude. Brian said that the installer said there were no holes in my wall, that there was a stress crack in the closet. I don't appreciate being called a liar! I also have photographs of the damages as well as paid them $5k to install a perfect job. Brian then went on to argue with me that the wall damage would not cost me $1000 to fix.

Instead of asking me how to make me happy, he fixated on how I came up with the $1000 figure. I also told him that the panel was damaged as it looked like they cut the panel on the wrong side. Again, instead of saying, we will fix it, Brian went on to badger me on just how would the installer cut it backwards. He was very condescending to me as well as spoke to me like I was an idiot. This is all after I paid them $5000 cash the day before for a better bathroom, not a worse-looking bathroom.

Brian asked when I was available so that he could come over and look at the bathroom, because I am a liar, and I gave him two times; However, he told me that they were not good for him. He then subsequently called my husband to verify my story as well as apologize to him profusely, but he was a unprofessional, chauvinistic **** to me. My father is 86 and suffering from advanced congestive heart failure. His mental capacities are, sadly to say, also in decline. His weakened condition made getting into and out of the bath tube increasingly difficult and physically risky. After noticing an ad on TV for Bath Fitter, he called the firm and within days a representative was sent out to call on him. After a presentation, my dad signed a contract for $5,796.00. Bath Fitter was to replace his existing bath tub with a shower stall constructed with a much lower entrance threshold, thereby reducing the risk of his falling.

While the installed shower stall seems to be functioning properly (no apparent leaks) and looks okay, I can not help but wonder if Bath Fitter has not taken advantage of or gouged my father. With a bit of investigation, I noticed that Lowe's was asking $350-400 for a shower enclosure similar if not identical to the unit Bath Fitter installed. Adding $100-150 for ancillary supplies and fittings, I arrived at a total total materials cost of approximately $550.00-600.00. Subtracting materials from the $5,596.00 contract price leaves a balance of $4,996.00. For what? Labor? The installer only took two half days to complete his work. Labor then would be $4,996.00/8 hours or $630.75 per hour! Outrageous! I'd be very surprised if brain surgeons or rocket scientists made this much. I am extremely dissatisfied with this situation. I wonder how many $-thousands of their advertising I can negate by accurate, yet negative word-of-mouth.

My tub was installed in a day as promised. When I went to sign the papers I inspected the tub and found a scratch; also the silicone was not really done well. They came out a couple of days later to buff this out and supposedly fix the silicone (which still looks like an amateur did it). The hardware I ordered was brushed nickel. The faucets were brushed nickel, but the tub was chrome. I called the manager and he talked me into changing them all to chrome. This was okay as I'm not a decorator and he assured me that they were easier to keep clean. They changed the faucets so that everything was chrome. The only thing that they don't tell you is that the high end hardware they are installing is chrome colored plastic.

I was more than disappointed when I discovered this. They are coming back again to let me pick out different hardware and they are also going to be bringing me a tube of silicone so that I can fix the silicone myself. The manager came up and looked at the silicone and tried to fix it himself, but it still looks terrible (all bumpy and spread all over the place). The manager is trying to get it right, but this has been a horrible experience for me. Next time I will stick to local companies.

My parents are 80 yrs old. They live in a 3 bdrm 1.5 bath ranch. The night of the installation, my father noticed an irritation in his throat and started coughing a lot. The next morning he woke up with a fever, and a severe rash that covered his upper & lower torso, including both hands and head! My father went to the doctor, was given a prescription to treat the rash.

I contacted the company & spoke with the manager, Mark. The first thing he said was that he has "never" heard of this type of reaction. I always get suspicious when someone says "never", and I was right to heed my intuition! He said "we only use silicone & blue tape" it couldn't have been caused by the installation. He gave me every ridiculous excise for what could've been the cause, (such as saying it could've been from an open jar of peanut butter! Ugh!) insisting they only use silicon & this tape. He gave me the number of the installer on call that weekend, Joe. The install was on Wednesday, my father went to the doctor Thursday, and on Friday he was still suffering.

On Friday, Mark said he called two other managers & they also said they had "never" heard of such a reaction. I thought he was hoping I'd just accept that lame comment & go away! Thursday night my brother went to the house & noticed the strong smell of chemical in the bathroom - he shut the door after turning on the fan. Mark said the silicone cures after 24 hrs., when I told him of this strong chemical odor very apparent 48 hrs later.

I called Joe, the installer on-call Saturday morning, when I asked about the odor & that I just want to trace the cause of my father's reaction, he said they use a very toxic spray glue! He read the warnings on the label to me - can cause respiratory ailments, if inhaled can affect certain organs! Keep area well ventilated! There was no warning stating this anywhere in the contract, the guy doing the install never warned my parents, he didn't ask them to remove any toiletries on the bathroom counter, never covered anything - he just sprayed this adhesive & left!

On Monday, I called Mark again & said I wanted a list of all the products used in the installation. He sent me an MSDS user's guide. Nowhere does it even mention this spray adhesive called Adspray which is what the installer said they use. When I asked the manager about using a spray glue in installations he said "who told you that?" Thankfully the installer was forthcoming with the name of the product, the ingredients & warnings. The manager gave me nothing! Makes me think he's hiding something!

I googled Adspray & spent hours trying to track down the specific product used in this install. Exasperated, I call Joe the installer saying I shouldn't have to work this hard and am considering calling a local TV station & an attorney for help. He said let me call Mark, he may take it more seriously if it comes from me. Well, Joe called me back saying Mark will send you a label from the can. Two days later, I got a 2"X2" square of the label with just the ingredients! This guy is a piece of work! Every owner's nightmare!

I have contacted an attorney, am calling the TV station today and I found the number of the company that manufactures this product. I will have my father go through tests to see what ingredient(s) caused the reaction, and then proceed with a vengeance. Ultimately, my family wants a warning in writing on the contract, especially for the elderly, anyone with respiratory illness, autism, etc; the installers educated on proper installs i.e. remove everything from room, cover sink, toilet, floor before spraying adhesive, provide proper ventilation for at least 24 hrs., the installers have to wear masks, (they don't - I'm sure OSHA will be interested to know that!) (Major health issue for employees!)

It has been an uphill battle with this manager & thankfully, the installer was decent enough to give me the info I needed for my father's health! If it weren't for him, I'd be even more frustrated trying to get this manager to be honest & forthcoming to make sure the customer who paid $6000 was happy and taken care of! Beware! Beware! Beware! I am telling everyone to avoid this company! My father is the sole caregiver for my mother. She is housebound. My father only leaves the house to shop for groceries, medical & dental appointments. He lost sleep because of the discomfort, for 5 days! Thankfully, I was able to come in & help my father by doing his duties for my mother. Now he will have to see an allergist & go through testing. I also have pictures of his body covered in this rash.

I wish somebody had warned me about Bath Fitter. I have never been more disappointed in my life and have never had a bigger regret. They are deceitful, dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, and all they want is your money.

Bill ** (manager) has a spiteful, hateful, attitude. I wrote him a letter expressing my dissatisfaction; he didn't have the courtesy to respond. I complained over and over to the office staff so they scheduled the installer to come back. During one of the calls, they put him (the manager) on the phone and he started to argue with me. He complained about how many times I called them, and he never apologized for destroying and stripping me of my entire plumbing system which was high performance and superb quality.

The only change I wanted was the appearance of my tub and wall, not the functionality! I never asked them to rip out or change my plumbing fixtures. They never clarified, openly told me or discussed with me that they were going to strip me of the functionality of my showering system, which I loved and was so happy with for over 16 years. I'm emotionally distraught over this loss and traumatized.

They just take it for granted that's what customers want. Well not me, I told them I didn't want or liked what they did and I wanted my system back. They said it was illegal and besides they installed what I had selected.

How could it be illegal if I had my system over 16 years, just a day ago? I realized then, I had been had and there was no way they were going to return what they took away from me. Besides taking away my plumbing fixtures which they threw away without my consent and had no right to trash, they didn't even ask me if I wanted to keep them. The professional procedure would of been for them to leave the parts with me.

My plumbing fixtures consisted of a temperature mixing valve, a pressure balancing valve and my shower head was priceless. I had full control of my showering system and I used to look forward to my ultimate daily showers with a passion, fulfillment and joy. I no longer feel that same joy.

I feel my bathroom was devalued because I had an expensive wall made out of tile and a jacuzzi style Greek bathtub. Now all I have is an inferior cheap plastic wall and a cheap plastic tub. I don't even care for the tub and the wall they installed because I hate and resent the monstrosity it represents.

I wish something could be done to these criminals that take advantage and violate innocent victims like me.

Back in December 2000, I ordered a bathroom tub and wall unit. Now when the men come down, they said I need a new ceiling before they can do so i said okay. But I couldn't get it done right away because I was getting new windows also and was waiting on them. I contracted and said I had three days. I can cancel without being penalized. Well, my windows came about almost a month after I ordered bathroom. I called to cancel and yes I knew I was going to be be penalized. They would take no for an answer.

I had the guy come down and took bathroom ceiling off my contract. So a new contract was made. I only did it because they would not listen to me that I want my money back. So before three days, I canceled. All they gave me back was $500$ for ceiling. They kept $4000 of my money. I had no services done. They still have all material. I can't afford a lawyer. I was laid off and barely making ends meet. Now, I can see keeping some at least $1000 but not the whole thing. I don't have a phone because it was shut off at the moment so I can't contact anyone.

I had a tub enclosure installed 3 years ago. The installer did not do a good job sealing around the tub. Now I have water going between the original tub and the "skin." I called bath fitters and they told me 1) that this work is not under warranty because I did not get an entire enclosure just a tub and that if a repairman has to come out, it will cost additional money. I said that the tub was not sealed properly to begin with, why do I have to pay for faulty work. But they insisted that since I did not get the entire enclosure then they are not at fault. Does this make sense to you. I had another bath completely redone 10 years ago and never had to re-caulk in those 10 years. What kind of caulking are you using Bath Fitters? There is mold growing between the old tub and the "skin." Also it accumulates so much water that it feels like the "skin" will burst at any time. Water is also leaking to the basement from the tub.

Apparently, if you are a married woman without your husband Bath Fitters feels you are not capable of making decisions. After researching possible bath liners for one of our five investment properties, my husband and I decided to get information on their product from one of the booths set up in a local mall. My husband got all the information he needed from the rep and we decided to take the next step of getting a quote for their product and service. The day and time was set up through my husband. Please note my husband and I work different shifts and it is difficult for us to be at a scheduled appointment together, so it was decided that I would go to the appointment. Also note, I had to have my tenant rearrange her schedule because we try not to bring outside parties into their home.

Clifford, the sales rep was on time and greeted me with a smile. His next question was, "Where is your husband? " I said, "He is at work. " Clifford said, "Will your husband be joining us at all? " I started wondering why he was so concerned about my husband's presence because all of the other contractors, workers, etc., that I have dealt with in the past for other jobs never had this concern.

We proceed to the bathroom and I get a song and dance about their products and the lifetime guarantee and a lot of other bs and in between almost every other sentence from Clifford was, "Gee, I wish your husband was here." I asked Clifford, "Would the price/quote be different if he were here because that's all we are interested in at this time?" Another song & dance about how great the product is and if we wanted cheap they could give us cheap.

By this time, 15 minutes into the meeting I was very insulted and frustrated. So, I asked Clifford, "Are you going to measure and give me a quote for a bath liner?" He said that he really needs my husband present and could we reschedule when he is available." I walked away wasting my time and my tenant's time because he refused to give me a quote. I called the office and told them I wanted to know what kind of company is Bath Fitter by not giving a woman a quote. Are they prejudiced against women? The supervisor stated, "We need all decision makers present." I didn't buy that because when they thought the appointment was with my husband, they never told him I had to be present.

After reading the comments here, I have an idea how much they would try to charge whether my husband was present or not and it is not worth it. After seeing all the problems and complaints on their service and product, I am not interested in their company.

I do thank Donna of Norfolk, VA who had a similar complaint as me on 2/5/2008. She stated she felt she was "teleported back to the 1950s the way they treated her because her husband (of 6 mos) was not present. " I hope Bath Fitters realizes that Ozzie and Harriet both work outside of the home now and that women are capable of handling business without their husband. Sometimes, better than the husband!

I was thinking of using Bath Fitter and I hesitated and didn’t go through with it. They said I had to use the 10% discount or I would lose the savings. I didn’t do it. They called me 2 days later to offer me an extra 10% off that they had a special they were getting desperate. I declined. I was thinking of the whole one-piece concept vs. 3-piece. You never really have mold up the corners of your bath walls. It’s usually where the tub meets the walls. A one-piece still has seems on the bottom just like a 3-piece but Bath Fitter charges you way more.

I had a friend work for them and it costs them less than a $1000 to make it and charge you $4500- $9000. They say it’s easier to clean than tiles but consider this: have you ever tried to clean a sliding glass door? You never seem to get it right and if you do it’s dirty immediately. Don’t be fooled by these crooks. I bought a 3-piece and it’s beautiful. If you do buy from Bath Fitter never do it on the first call because they will offer you more off soon after. What a swell company. They will give you 20% off if you say no on first call and still make tons of profit. Buyer, beware. They tried to pull a fast one on me. Threatened that if I didn’t jump at saving I would regret it. Extreme pressure.

I feel your product is extremely overpriced for what it is. The salesperson was a bit pushy and unable or unwilling to negotiate any price reduction. I believe we were misled. This product is not worth the $5,500 plus finance charges we will have to pay. If I had to do over again I would not have gone with your product. The installer placed the shower rod too far into the enclosure. During my first shower, I had no elbow room and was unable to turn around in the tub without hitting the shower curtain and this was never a problem before the installation of your product.

When I called to try to remedy the problem two days after initial installation, I was not given any date nor time when the installer would be back to try to resolve my problem. I was only told that "they would get to it when they were back in my area again, maybe next week". I also was told that the shower rod is screwed into the walls of the shower and that because of this they would be unable to repair the holes left behind, but only cover them. I think that for the $5,500 I spent on this system that I should get prompt service with a date and time when they would be back and that they should fix this problem as soon as possible. The installer who called me back, Joe ** agreed with me that the shower rod should not be screwed into the walls because of the high price of the system and that an ordinary shower rod would do the job of holding up the shower curtain without making any more unneeded holes. It became apparent to me that this was simply how he was told and trained to install these systems.

So after spending $5,500, I will to go out to my local home improvement store this weekend and spend more money on a new shower curtain rod that will not need to be screwed into the walls of my brand new, highly expense tub and walls. I would also like to add the fact that the clear plastic shower curtain rings that were given to us by the installer are very cheap and something you can get at any dollar store.

For the amount of money I spent on your product, I 'm very disillusioned with the experience I have had thus far, and cannot in my good conscious ever recommend your product or services to anyone ever. I was told that Bath Fitter was the Mercedes Benz of the bath renovation world by the salesman. I vehemently disagree. I would recommend that in future installation the owner of the home be allowed to make a choice between the screwed in shower rod and an ordinary shower rod that will not add holes to the walls of the shower enclosure. I also would like to recommend that Bath Fitter give the customer some decent looking metal shower curtain rings to match the chrome faucets or whichever color faucet that they chosen. I think these small, inexpensive changes would increase customer's satisfaction greatly with your product in the future. If you have any questions or need me to clarify anything I have written please do not hesitate to contact me.

I will not use any kind of "Bath Fitters". Why pay for a product that only conceals the old, dingy, damaged bath. If you have mold, they only cover it up. If you have rot, they again cover it up. What do you pay for all of this? You’re buying a whole remodel and only getting a fiberglass surround and fiberglass tub!

I paid around $4,500 and had my 5x8 bathroom completely remodeled. I kept my cast iron tub, had the surround tiled, new fixtures, tiled floor and new vanity. Why re-bath when you can remodel?

My mother-in-law had Bath Fitters do a job for her. I can not believe the type of work they did. This poor old woman was definitely taken advantage of. She was charged $4,955.00 just to have her tub removed, and a shower base installed, with wall surround. To make matters worse, they didn't change the plumbing at all, except to remove the drain trap (probably because that was easier than doing a proper installation), so now she hears water flowing every time her neighbors in the condominium use their bathrooms for showers, or toilet flushes. She also was left with the tub spout and tub faucets in the original place, so she has to bend over to turn on and regulate the water. This company, or this particular factory rep should be ashamed of themselves, for taking advantage of old people. How many other old people have been ** by him?

I responded to a Bath Fitters advertisement displayed in The Walt Whitman Mall. The salesman Joe M came to my house on January 29, 2009. We discussed installation of a vinyl covering for the bath area and partial wall covering. I was shocked at the price he quoted, $4,800. I said I couldn't afford it. He said if I gave him a down payment of $250.00, he could get it financed with a company Bath Fitters dealt with and he would let me know in a few weeks. I never heard from Joe M again because he never returned my calls.

I caught up with him by phone months later. He said he couldn't get it financed, I ask why didn't he get back to me? He stalled for an answer and then said he was dealing with another finance company that might be able to finance the job. I had to call the office a number of times before Joe returned my call. I told him I want my $250.00 returned. Joe said to me I have to talk to Lauren, she handles the money. This, of course, began a cycle of telephone tag.

Lauren was always at lunch, not in or off until next week. When track her down, she told me she could not return my deposit because I had to cancel the job within 72hrs. I became angry and explained the job was supposed to be financed and I had to wait for Joe to get back to me and he never did. Then she went on to say, Bath Fitters measured and cut material for the job. I told her that was impossible because the tub had to be leveled. The tub was on a 10” tilt. The under-floor has to be reconstructed, (the floor was water rot) and I have to install a security bath window much smaller in size than the standard contractor’s window in place now. And a single faucet plumbing before any work could be measured. Sheetrock and wall board were not completed.

Finally, I was told, by Lauren, "I'll get back to you. I have to discuss this with my supervisor/owner." Three weeks passed and I called a number of times. No one has returned my calls or refunded my $250.00. I spoke to another female in the office last month, February 2010. I told her the whole story and I said, "What are you people rip off artists? Her response was, "We’re not that kind of company. Someone will get back to you.” I'm still waiting, today is March 30, 2010.

This company needs to be shut down and denied a license to re-open under another name. I can see that this is a pattern with them. I will report them to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs for further action. They didn’t do anything to deserve $250.00. They advertised, "FREE ESTIMATES". My advice to consumers, stay away from Bath Fitters.

Home Depot, Shears and Lowell’s may be expensive, but their reputable and if you’re not satisfied, they will return and get it right. I am 71 y/o retired living on a fixed income. This company Bath Fitters should be shut down.

She said she kept calling, because there wasn't no other number. Well, if were at work, why would we give her another number.

She was very rude so I got off the phone, and after thinking of all the hassle they gave us, I called back and told her we would reschedule at another time, and she wasn't happy, and was rather mean on the phone. Whatever happened to customer service? And when a business answers the phone, they should address who they are, and their name is not customer service, and I would say from where? After receiving a solicitation in January 2009, salesman Joe arrived at my home on January 29, 2009. I was only seeking an estimate for remodeling part of my bathroom. Whick, at the time was under construction (new wall and ceiling, sheet rack, floor tile, and toilet and bath plumbing). I explained to the salesman that I could not afford the price he stated. He said if I gave him a down payment of $250.00, he could arrange financing. I explained I still had a number of months to go before my chapter 13 would be discharged. He said "no problem" and that he would get back to me in a week or two. He never did. Bath Fitter office called me for a date to take the measurements and start the work. I explained to them, I was waiting for the salesman to get my loan approved. She said OK. I tried for months to get in touch with salesman Joe.

I complained to the office about the job, and they said I would have to get in touch with him. He called me in August or September 2009. I asked him what happened, why he did not return my calls, and what happened to the financing? He replied, "we don't do business with that finance company anymore". Why didn't you get back to me as you promised. I said I can't have the work done unless he financed it, as he had promised. He replied "we have another finance company that we deal with". I asked him to call me when he gets it financed, or return my deposit. After waiting for a decision, I called him in January 2010. He said he can't get it financed. I said return my $250.00. He said the office handles that, and I should speak to Loureen. I called the office several times before Loureen returned my call from stage 2 Alexander (631 9560634 at 3:15pm 02/02/10).

I explained the problem and asked that they return my $250.00. She said at first, If I wanted to cancel the contract, I had 3 days from the date the contract was signed to do so. When I said the job was contingent on approved financing by Bath Fitter. She then switched her rational for not refunding my deposit to, "we order parts for the job". I said how could you order parts when the bath area was under construction. The window still had to be removed, the tub was sitting on a 10* list, and in need of being leveled, and reinforced floor beams installed.

The tub faucet and triple knobs have to be converted to a single control etc. The bath walls, vanity and med cabinet space have to be measured, before you can accurately measure how much material is needed, and the cost. She said Bath Fitter salesman measured all the areas, and that material was custom measured for my job. We got into a heated dispute. I threaten to report them to Suffolk County Dept. of Consumer Affairs. Loreen said she'd get back to me. That was Tuesday, February 2, 1010. As of today, and the time of this complaint, Bath Fitter, nor sales, mam Joe, have returned my call.

Bath Fitters installed an acrylic liner over the tub in my main bath around 1991. While the caulked seams were narrow at the ends of the tub, the seam along the long side was too wide and required a caulk line of over 1/2 inch wide. It is the result of a poor trim job when the fit up was made.

Over time, say 10 years, the caulk along the long wall began to leak and filled the space between the liner and original tub with water and the glue on the bottom let go. I removed the drain and squeezed out a few gallons of water. I then re-caulked the long seam with silicone and the leak stopped. The seam is too wide and unsightly. My beef is this seam should have been 1/4" wide at most, but poor fit up and craftsmanship is to blame. Also, these liners should have a lip on the long side to slip up under the bottom edge of the wall tile. Caulk is the only water barrier. I recommend one get references and go see for yourself the quality or lack thereof before signing a contract with Bath Fitters. I will not use them again.

We had some glowing recommendations from people in our complex about this company so we decided to have them replace a tub surround for us. The quote was expensive ($1400) but we were assured that we would be getting a quality product with a lifetime guarantee. The installation took longer than what we were told. After the installer left, we noticed that he had scratched our acrylic tub, left some adhesive stuck to the tub and toilet and there were bows in the surround wall. It took several phone calls to get them to send someone out. When another installer came to 'inspect' the installation he agreed that it didn't look very good.

He brought some kind of solvent to remove the adhesive but was unable to do anything about the scratch in the acrylic tub other than recommend a polish. He said he would have their office call us back. Well that was over 2 months ago and we haven't heard back. Our calls go to voice mail with no response. I truly wished I researched them a little more and, certainly, would have reconsidered giving them any business had I discovered this site. So after 5 months, the caulking is starting to peel and mold. Guess what? I'll do the repair myself. For any perspective Bath Fitter customers, please, please deal them with extreme caution. Better yet, don't deal with them at all.

In summary: The deed is done. We did receive installation and product as quoted but the quality of workmanship is very poor. However, getting after sales service is next to impossible. Buyer beware!

My husband and I agreed to have our shower stall replaced in our master bedroom for one. We just thought that perhaps it would be warranted after so many years, and I wanted the color changed from blue tile to white. Someone from Bath Fitter came out, sized up the job, quoted us a price in excess of $6,000, then claimed to be in the position to reduce that to $5,700. It's steep, but we looked at it as an investment in our home.

What was supposed to be a one-day installation turned into 2 1/2 days. Beginning at 9 a.m. and finishing up on the last day at approximately 8 p.m., they held us up from going to dinner with friends, who were patiently waiting. The only complaint clear to the naked eye at a quick glance was the shower doors were not the correct size and they needed to be switched for easier access into the shower.

The installation took place on October 21, 2008. While we continued to wait on the replacement doors, my husband pointed out that the walls were not "plumbed." I never heard this term before, but my husband explained it. We found too that there was a lot of play in the doors and too much space on the floor around the drain.

On November 3, Glenn (manager) came to our home and inspected the work. He supported the need to have the correct doors put in, and he also agreed that installation was poorly done and that the walls had to be torn down and replaced. I have proof of this in writing. On November 8, I sent a certified letter to the company addressing these concerns and pointed out that had I been a single woman, I would have been taken advantage of not knowing what the finished product should look like.

I received a call from Glen in July of this year asking to meet with me at my home. I agreed. I again expressed that I did not want anyone from Bath Fitter to do any work whatsoever in my home ever again, not even to replace the doors. I made it clear too that this work should have been done right the first time. I had hoped that the purpose of his visit was to agree to reduce this cost that we pay directly at their finance company. I expressed that I would be willing to pay half and chalk this off as a bad experience. He said he had to get back to me on that and would call me again in a few days. I heard from him again about two weeks later, and the response was no but that they would be willing to redo the work as previously discussed.

I then obtained a lawyer, and in the absence of having been given a copy of the original contract we signed, we had a day in court in Philadelphia County to learn at that time that any complaints, claims, etc. against Bath Fitter should be filed in Dauphin County. I then made arrangements and paid to have a conference call with an attorney in Dauphin County who gave me good sound legal advice. He informed me of the positive and negative sides of such a case.

The only thing holding me back is my inability to pay legal fees for another attorney to represent me. I'm already out $600 in legal fees. I sent another certified letter to a Martin, who is the president/owner of Bath Fitter on October 9. That was returned to me by the Postal Service, which stated "return to sender" and forward time had expired. I then called to verify the mailing address, which happened to be correct. I decided then to just fax my correspondence to him on November 3.

To date, I've heard nothing whatsoever, which angers me even more. I'm giving thought to contacting the Better Business Bureau. I am quite surprised that Bath Fitter has not been put out of business! How could they operate for so long with all the complaints you hear about, let alone the countless ones who have not complained? I heard there is a class action suit somewhere against them. I would certainly like to be put on the list. And I would testify in court. Just tell me when and where. Lastly, my regret is that there was absolutely nothing physically or mechanically wrong with our old shower. Our mistake is not being able to get it back.

Andrew said someone would look at it on 10/13/09 and told me how many people love it and do not slip. I then ran my hand over the floor and called to tell him the floor is slippery. He told me that a slip resistant coating could be installed, but I could put a bath mat in there. Andrew said he or Sherri would call back today to let me know when it could be installed. There was no call. On 10/14, I called and left a message to call me on the 15th. There was no call. On 10/16, the installer showed up with no prior arrangements to install a slip-proof coating.

Then he went into the bathroom and applied the coating using a respirator. I have a 4-year-old in my house! My house was overcome with toxic fumes. All the doors and windows were opened. Upon leaving, the installer said the smell will last a couple of hours. After a couple of hours, we took the child out of the house. We had stinging eyes, sore throats, chest pains, and pain in my ears. What is happening to the 4-year-old? I called Bath Fitters on 10/19 and told Sherri I needed a list of the toxic ingredients and side effects. Plus, a copy of what I signed when the guy was leaving. She was all bubbly and said yes. Nothing ever came. This place does not have any concern for the customers once the bill is paid. There is no customer service. I still have a smell in my house 8 days later. What did this cause in the 4-year-old? What can I tell a doctor what we were exposed to?
