My sister-in-law had her bathroom done about 5 years ago, and when Bath Fitter sent me a little flyer in the paper I decided to give them a call to have my bathroom done by them as well. I was fully impressed with the salesman coz of the way he presented himself and jokingly asked him to send me the best one they had and I think he did. The installer was very professional. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

We had a real problem with the shower. We couldn't get it clean and we needed to have some work done on it, so instead of tearing out the tile, we decided to look at some other alternatives. The reviews that we’ve seen locally for Bath Fitter were good, and after meeting with the sales rep we decided to let them do the work on our shower.

The sales representative was good. He was professional, he knew his products and helped us make some good choices... we did a full shower, three-shelves and some custom work job on our glass doors. Amazingly they had one person do the installation and he was very good. After the job was over, they brought out a nice little gift basket with some supplies, as far as squeegees and those kinds of things for cleaning glass, etc. They did some follow-up from their office, which was real nice that they called and touched base with us a few times and made sure everything was good.

Great experience from time sales to install. Our tub was 56 years old and walls were uneven and all grout/caulk was bad and starting to leak. I was told install would be 8-10 weeks, it was 4!! They will work with you on the time if they can, in our case someone canceled. Very pleased with job and best part, everything they touched is under lifetime warranty! A little pricey but well worth the money (very high quality). I would recommend. Worth every penny.

We were excited about the new bathtub Reno. The staff was very friendly. It was an expensive tub so we expect the work to be great! However, that was not the case! We were told to wait until the next morn to use the shower, which we waited until the evening to use it instead. Oh goodness. After the first shower, we noticed instantly water dripping sounds. Thought we were just paranoid. The next morning, there came the water dripping to our living room from the ceiling!! We are very upset!!! We called the office and will need to wait until tomorrow to "possibly" get it looked at. I think this kind of service and product we got was unacceptable considering the amount it cost! I hope there is some kind of compensation or else those company will never be recommended to our friends or people we know!!!!

I've used Bath Fitter twice and it's both been fine. Both times our tubs were just too old so we decided to have them work on them. Because they did such a good job the first time seven years ago, we decided to choose them again in our other house that we bought. We purchased the bath tub, the walls, all the hardware, and the closets. The first time, we also got shower doors. We also got shelves and a soap dish. Bath Fitter was great. I'd use them again if I need to. And I did talk about using them again 'cause I have a second bathroom in the house that they just did a couple of months ago. Eventually, when I save some pennies, I may do the second bathroom as well.

Their salesman was good, very to the point and not pushy. The one who installed was very, very good too. He went about his business and let us know what he was doing. We left him alone for the better part of the day, and he was done. He was out the same night. We're happy with the whole deal and have already recommended Bath Fitter.

We noticed that the grout in the bathroom was starting to deteriorate and thought about remodeling it. But we didn’t want to go through a mess of carrying it out. Then, we saw Bath Fitter’s little kiosk at Treasure Coast Mall and got interested in a type of design that is one complete piece on the walls, which would eliminate future grout problems. Also, it looked like tile so that it wasn’t just a sheet of plastic.

The sales representative came and gave a good presentation and we signed. The installer did a good job of installing. He measured and measured before he actually did any cutting or installing. It gave us a good feeling that he was being careful. Let me make one point though: The salesman kept saying that they clean everything and he knew that we were reusing shower doors. The installer didn’t clean up the bit of mold where the track originally was. Later, we found out that was not part of his job; they should have told us ahead of time. We thought he had better cleaning products than we do for elbow grease. I’m very pleased though that he left a list of cleaning materials that we could use. We took the time to remove the bit of mold ourselves and it did come out.

Over all, I’m very pleased with Bath Fitter. It’s a much neater way of getting your bathroom redone without the mess of carrying out tile, which would cause dust throughout your whole place.

Hi, While I'm angry with what transpired, I am satisfied with the manner in which the situation was finally resolved. I'd like to add that it was not just miscommunication and delays that caused the problems but ineptness. I have been told that even after measuring for the blind three times and seeing it over a half dozen times, the wrong blind was ordered!! This is a person who should be not be a supervisor or quite frankly, should have a job.

    Original Review: Aug. 13, 2014

I had the most horrific experience with Bath Fitter of Keyport. (OGorman Brothers) The salesman, Mr. ** of Wall assured me that the product would be non-slip for my husband, former police chief Dan **, who has ALS, and it would be installed in 1 1/2 days. The installation took 3 days (beginning June 13, 2014) instead of the 1 1/2 that was promised and a layer of cement dust was all over the bathroom, adjacent room and closet because the installer didn't tape the door opening properly. The installer was late each of the 3 day installation and left early two of those days. This room is the living space of my husband, who has ALS. The floor of the shower that they installed was very slippery which put my husband in a precarious and unbelievably stressful situation. Also the base was crooked and had to be reinstalled. By day 16, they finally gave me a non-slip coating but almost two months later did not replace the curtain that was coated with cement dust, pay the cleaning bill or replace the defective and cheap shower head despite numerous phone calls about these items. The drain was clogged with cement and $240.00 later it is fixed.

Supervisor Mr. **, does not return most calls, texts, emails or acknowledge them. He is rude, interrupts, is insensitive to the situation, lies (even in the American Express documentation!!) and constantly says he understands and is taking care of a problem but doesn't, which puts me in a situation where I'm spending my valuable time calling and complaining. The stress that they caused myself and my husband is unbelievable. The installation and clean up time as well as the time that I have spend on phone call and emails, including this and several reviews and the American Express dispute, took valuable time that my husband and I could have spent together or with friends and family. The stress that they have caused a handicapped and dying person is unconscionable. They have robbed us of valuable time that we will never get back, not to mention they put him in a hazardous situation with the slippery floor then acted like they were doing us a favor by not charging us for the non-stick coating. The product was quite expensive but it is cheap.

The supervisor (Mr. **) and the installers were unprofessional and should not be in the business of installing bathrooms to elderly and handicapped folks. Do not use this company....you will regret it!!! Almost two months later I'm still waiting for the curtain, which Mr. ** has come to our home and measured for three times. He came here with a stock Home Depot curtain yesterday to cover for his failure to order a blind and acted like it was the correct size and type (fabric ribboned wood blind) nor were we reimbursed for the cleaning!!!

Each act of incompetence is costing us valuable time and costing Bath Fitters money. I have been yessed to death by the staff and finally called the owner yesterday who did not return my call. I only wish I had the time to detail this more clearly but I'm too busy caring for my husband. They have insinuated that the damage was caused by the volunteer workers that were at our home helping with construction and that we are under stress but I am a retired township clerk and my husband is a retired police chief and know how to handle very difficult situations. They have pushed us to our limit and legal action may be the only recourse. I have not had the time to hire an attorney to go after them civilly because I am the primary caregiver for my ill husband and we are trying to spend time together, but believe me, I will.

April of 2014 we had Bath Fitter of Albuquerque come and check out our 2 bathrooms we wanted remodeled. Set everything up and at the time some prep work was needed to be done, when the installer showed up (June 2014) I expected that the additional work was going to be done that day, guess what. We were told the other work should have been scheduled earlier and done before the installer showed (strike one). Even if the prep work had been done, the wrong tub and wrong shower pan had been ordered, plus there was damage to one of the walls that had not been found until that morning (strike two).

So, after reordering the material and I will say that some of the prep work has been done, the work was rescheduled for this week (August 11). The installer showed and began to do the work and found that the shower pan was not the right one again (strike three). FOUR months later and NOTHING to show for it except irritation!!!! Needless to say that we have had enough with this company and immediately cancelled EVERYTHING. Will not ever use again and highly DO NOT recommend Bath Fitter at any level!!

I have an older home and the tub was starting to look a little aged, so that's what made me decide to remodel through Bath Fitter. I chose them because I know that it's a well-known company. I just knew I wanted to get it done. I got the tub and the shower from them back in April. Their sales representative was very pleasant and smooth. They did measure incorrectly though; that was one of the issues and so I did end up getting a new ceiling. And it was quite a job for the poor kid who did the remodeling because it's an older home, so it was quite messy.

I would like to have known that it was gonna be that messy and dusty coz I would have prepared a little bit better, closed rooms off or put things away. I had to throw a lot of my toiletries away because it was so dusty after they did the demo. Anyway, the person who handled the installation has been very pleasant, always on time and kept me abreast of what was happening, so it's real positive. It was pretty smooth, they're very courteous, and I'm very pleased with the overall job that they did. And the tub, I'm really enjoying it.

I used Magic Eraser which is not on the list of products that seems to clean it some but not 100%. I'll be honest. If I had the money, I would rip this all out and go back to my old tub. I remodeled the front bathroom, a two-fold bath, which is the common bathroom. I put in new commode, new sink. I had shower doors in the front bathroom but I took them out and I filled them, all the little holes, and went back to the shower curtain assembly and just repainted everything. The wife, she came in and remodeled a lot of things, redecorated, so that was like a million bucks. When we came to the master bath, same thing. It was a shower-tub one-piece enclosure and the shower doors and everything else. But we decided, “Look, if we’re gonna do anything, let’s get it done right and shop around."

Well, I knew that any quality or better is gonna be 5, 6 grand or higher, but now the next question is, and the biggest concern right here, we wanted to go vinyl, we didn’t want to go stone because eventually that has a tendency to leak, and then what do you have? You have wood problems, you have floor, you have walls and every kind of problem. Other vinyl systems were multiple pieces 2,3,5,6... Now you got to deal with... the caulking or the silicone -- yes, it’s flexible. I know what the qualities of caulking is and of this and that. But we did not want to have the hassle of dealing with other joints. And Bath Fitters came up with the one-wall-piece system. What they did is plywood systems, and I love that.

I wasn’t in there all the time, but when I did pop in, these guys were impressive and the maintenance staff is bar none some of the best I’ve seen. They did an outstanding job. And they did everything that I asked. The professionalism that these guys handled it, I thought, “Oh, wow, these guys, they’re serious.” I’ve been in the building trade for over 30 years, so it was just an overwhelming job for me to do by myself, but to come in in two days and do what these fellows did was just phenomenal!

The experience with Bath Fitter was the best - from the time that we met the sales rep to the time that we met the installer and the follow-up. We went with them because of the fact that they didn't have to do any more caulking, the ease of cleaning the surfaces, and everything as detailed at the interview with the sales rep was the very thing that he said it would be. I had it done in January and had no complaints and no holes. It's awesome. It was an install over the bathtub. We did get wainscot for the bathroom too, so that was part of the whole installation. We had a great conversation going back and forth with the sales representative, something that not a lot of people like to do, but we both could trust each other and contact each other without harassing each other. The installer was very polite and from the time that he walked in the door to the time that he left, it was everything that they had described at the outset of the signing of the contract. He laid things out on the floor, cleaned up before he left and let you know what was going to happen before the next day. He was done in two days, which amazed us. I was very satisfied with the outcome.

I heard about Bath Fitter through commercials and decided to try them. I got the wall liners and had them sealed to the tub. Dealing with the sales representative went very well and my experience with the installation team as far as I know was good.

My only concern is the cost, but considering the work he did, the time it took him to do it, and the warranty, it is a great investment in our 46 year old home.

Our bathrooms were becoming awful so we decided to remodel. We had a tub and shower downstairs and a shower upstairs done by Bath Fitter. There was someone in the house who needed a sit-down bath because they were sick, and they passed away, and after that, I redid the bathroom and had Bath Fitter come out again and put the tub in. All that took place within a year or two. The sales representative was very good ant the installation team was very, very efficient. They knew what they were doing. They were here a day and maybe half a day and that was it. Bath Fitter was efficient, professional, and fairly economical.

About 7 years ago, I had Bath Fitter put in a tub. They replaced a walk-in shower with one of their tubs. When they were done, everything looked nice until we went to remodel the floor. We tore up the tile that was there and found termite damage. The installers had installed the tub of boards that had termite damage to the point that they needed replaced. They did not say one word about this - just put tub in anyway. They had to come out and remove tub so that we could get floors fixed. Now we have had problems with shower rod coming loose all the time. We have fixed it back several time ourselves but would not stay - just had them out to house and they replaced it but we are still have problems with the tub and walls.

There are scratches and chips in the tub that will not come clean. There is a dark ring around the tub. No matter how many times you clean, it will not come off and we use the cleaning products they told us to even though I hate the smell of them. There are places on the wall that won't come clean also. The pull bar on the wall always looks nasty - has black stuff that runs from it. We paid over $7000.00 to have the bathroom of our dreams. What we got is the bathroom of our nightmares. There is also a chip in the silver part around the drain. That looks very bad. I'm going to be calling the BBB. I'm not happy!!!! Buyer beware.

The tub has been in there for a long time and it had glass doors on it which I hated. They kept coming off the track and it was a three piece surround and there's mold around the surround and stuff. So I thought it was time to remodel my bathroom. I went with Bath Fitter because of their lifetime warranty and if there's any problems with any part of the tub including the spigot and the plumbing, it's guaranteed for life.

My interaction with the Bath Fitter sales representative was very good. We looked through numerous things and I wanted something that was just going to be plain without crevices or indentations or something for mold to collect and he picked one out and said, "What do you think of this?" I said, "That's just what I'm looking for." So that's what we went with.

The installation team that came to our home was great. It was only one guy and he had it done in no time. He was good. I had some questions about mounting some hand rails and stuff in there and he suggested different locations and they're working out fine. I would absolutely recommend Bath Fitter. I've seen the Bath Fitter commercials on TV. Also they had a little setup at one of our festivals here, in a town that I live in, and that's where we really got to talking to somebody about the company and we finally decided to let them remodel our bathroom. The sales representative came and explained to us what they would do, and then told us how much it was going to cost and everything. We ended up purchasing the wall surround, the tub covering and fixtures. I was not here on the day of the installation. My husband was, but from what I heard, the experience was fairly good.

We knew that this was a fairly old house that we're living in and we needed to think about the fact that we have older parents that come visit us all the time. They need a way to be able to get in and out of the bathtub easier, so a bathroom remodel was pretty much a good option for us. Plus, my husband has got some physical disabilities as well.

My only question is that no sealant was placed around the faucet where it comes out of the tub and no sealant around the water control fixture where it comes out of the wall. I don't know if that might lead to water leaking into the wall at that point or is there something behind those fixtures that I can't see that seals out water?

My kids had some issues with the ceramic tile in the wall section of my pre-existing tub. The pre-existing tub was probably 40 years old. So it was either have it redone in the manner in which they offered or have it reglazed. I expected the price to be more than it was. It was still a substantial amount, but for the quality and the warranty, overall, it was worth investing in. The only thing was, when I asked about the cost to have an additional panel made up to do the sealing of the shower area, if the price was more reasonable, I'd probably would have opted to have that done also. But it wasn't really necessary because the tile and grout in that area worked just fine. It was $700 or something for an additional panel and I felt that it was too expensive - it wasn't worth adding to the job.

The sales rep came with his literature and he answered all the questions that I had. He showed me all my options for the different styles, colors, textures of material. And the different plumbing option for the shower head, handles and such. I got the top-end shower enclosure with the glass sliding doors replacement. I got the walls. I got the cover that would fit like a glove over the tub. And then there was a couple little cosmetic things on the outside of the tub with the immediate walls that they also included in the price. The installation was done by just one man. He did it all. And he was there as long as it took to do the job - until 9 o'clock at night. They were prompt, courteous and clean and everything was good.

Overall, as far as everything involved in doing the job from the demo to the total installation, everything was fine. I went with Bath Fitter because I knew and liked the way their product worked.

I had one minor issue and they showed up the next day and rectified it right away. They were very responsive. After it was all done, they also checked in to make sure we were happy with everything and if everything was satisfactory.

I just have a question: If we sold the house, can the warranty be passed? Because that's why we got it -- there's lifetime warranty on everything, the plumbing, the tub, liner... so if anything goes wrong, that's their problem, not mine?? (We did the tub liner and the full tub surround and the shower head. We also put an adjustable shower bar in with a separate shower head on a flex hose.)

We were in the mall looking to put a new insert and a new tub insert and my wife said, "Why don't we go up and take a look at Bath Fitter." They had this little thing out there that had a bathtub and a bath wall. I said, "Gee, it looks pretty good." We were going to have somebody from Home Depot come out and give us a quote on doing it, and I had to wait over a week for that. So I called Bath Fitter and they said, "How about Thursday at about 2:00?" At 2:00 on Thursday, the guy was here. The young fellow really, really, really knew his stuff, as far as being able to sell the product. One of the things that really got me is that it's a lifetime warranty - that's everything: the faucets, any of the caulk... Lifetime, they'd come out and fix it and it wouldn't cost me another dime. And they said they would get it done in one day. I said, "Okay. How many people you got doing it?" They said, "One." I said, "Well, I'll believe that when I see it."

Anyhow, I signed up for it. The young fellow came out, threw down all kinds of tarps on the floor and took everything out of the bathroom, took it outside, put it in their truck, and when he left, that went with him. They already had the insert made for my size; it was actually measured for my particular house. The young fellow came in and it was a long day for him because he had to start out at the factory first and he didn't get here until 9:30. And it was 7:00 at night when he got done, and he did it all himself. The young fellow that put it in was fabulous and he knew his trade. Whenever somebody comes out and does a good job, maybe price is not really the best thing but the quality of the material and the work that goes in, then it's worth the price.

That was many years ago. Since then we've used them five times. They came in and did one. Then we did the downstairs. That's two. Then they put in the tank of water here for us that was three. Then they did the upstairs bathroom, that was four and we just redid the upstairs bathroom. So that's five.

All of the their sales representatives were very good but the last one was very knowledgeable. He knew his stuff and he answered all our questions. He made the sales pitch, the promotion and the proposal and it was fine. We signed up on the spot... There were five different installers in five different times, of course. They all did what appeared to be a standard procedure like protecting the floors and putting plastic over the windows. They all did their jobs and I don't think we have had anyone come back for anything other than re-caulking at some point but we were happy with the whole process.

They were very good. They are very capable, knowledgeable and neat. The only downside I must say is I find their pricing to be just a little too high. It's a great product and we can't say enough about it, but I think they are a little on the pricey side but other than that, that's the only negative I could say.

The Bath Fitter product was good and everything worked. There haven't been any issues with the water leaking. However, I was frustrated with their sales rep. My dad had a stroke and we initially talked to the salesman about a year ago. He came back in January for us to talk about it but Mom and Dad were not ready to do anything then and my dad was at a rehab facility. When it got closer to the time for him to be home, we called the salesman back and he was about an hour and a half away. I actually just spoke to a person who made appointments and he said that he could be there in about an hour or so. I leave my work to go meet the salesman and he has none of the paperwork from the previous measurements. We had to do everything again. Had he had called me before he came, I would have known to go to my house to get the paperwork and meet him at my parents’ home. It was very frustrating and he was not apologetic at all. It took him almost 2 hours to do it wasting my time.

When we got it all done and signed the papers, it took another 2 weeks and I had to follow up for them to make the appointment for the install. The person that came and installed the tub was very kind. My mom was there and he was very polite to her. It took him more than a day which was fine. We knew that it was a possibility and didn't have a problem with that. He was very clean. He cleaned up all the tools and supplies and put them in the shower so that they were out of the way of the toilet and the sink and my mom could use the bathroom. He was great. The tub is great and good for my dad. He can't walk and so he's able to transfer into the shower thing and get a bath.

He was friendly, efficient and got it on and got it done. It amazes me how much was done in a day and he basically did it all himself and it was to our satisfaction and we're now using it.

Bath Fitter is an excellent company with the product and their installers are very professional. The product itself is good, is excellent, but the installers are really

carrying that all the way through with what they do when they put it in.

We decided that it was time to remodel our bathroom because the home is old. It was built in the 70s and the bathtub was in sad shape. It was starting to rust and it was either replace the bathtub, which is quite expensive, or modernize the whole bathtub, the walls and so forth and so on. We got special doors, sliders. The tile lookalike goes higher than the normal tiles. They did it in a couple of different forms and it looks very nice. It's got a handle in the far right hand corner. It's got a place for shampoo and soap and so forth.

The sales representative initially called me when the job was done and I said it looks very nice. And then about three or four weeks later, I noticed that I was getting some mildew around the drain. So I used some bleach with that and it went away. And I took a close look at it and it was actually cracked in the fiberglass that they used, where the drain is. So we called them at least three or four times to schedule someone to come out and look at it. I had my brother-in-law look at it and he's very familiar. He's a contractor and he says, "Yeah, it looks like either they used too small of a drain or they tightened it too tight, and that caused the cracking." Right where the water drops out of the spout, that's where it happens.

It happened again where I got mildew and called them again. I said, "You're going to have to look at this because I'm not happy with it." Finally, I got a guy out here. The branch manager came and he looked at it last week and he agreed that it's got these small cracks on the one particular side of the spout, the drain. So he felt that the only fix other than tearing it all up again would be to make a bigger fitting that would sort of hide the cracks and they will put some caulking underneath there so they won't get any works. I got a call from them today and they were scheduling a guy to come here on Monday in the afternoon to repair it.

As far as the installation, the workmanship is good, the caulking is very good, the doors are a little heavy and high, and the appearance is very nice. So if you were a five-foot tall woman, you would never be able to touch the top. You'd have to stand on a stool of some sort to clean the top of the chrome where the sliders are. You got to remember it's the slider on top of an existing tub. So you've got that height from the tub plus the sliders. The glass for the sliders is quite high, not the old, normal type, probably another 6 to 8 inches taller than the old-fashioned type of sliders that you would buy at Home Depot. I wouldn't even recognize the cracks hadn't it gotten mildew on it.

Our bathroom wasn't looking very nice so we needed to change it. We didn't want to tear the bathroom apart so we thought Bath Fitter was the best way to go. It was my wife that had found out about them. The conversations with the sales reps were good. They were very informative and answered all our questions. The installer came and went right to work. I was present. I asked him if he needed any water or anything. He was fine and continued working and completed the job. It was great. If I had to, which I don't think I have to, I would go back to them again. We're satisfied with the service and everything worked out fine.

We had used Bath Fitter before in our master bathroom and so we called them again for a job that needed to be done - a bathtub and the wall wrap. When I called to set up the appointment, they of course had all our information in their computer and the person on the phone said, "Oh, well, the salesman that came to your house is still with us. We can have him come again." So he did come. The salesman that came to the house was the same one that came to our house several years ago.

We had a great experience the first time. That's why we chose them over others. However, this time we had a concern with their installation guy. The sales rep told us that there would be no problem about us wanting to rehang our shower curtains but when the gentleman was finishing up and we had mentioned to him about the shower rod he didn't have the tools to put it up. We were also surprised that he left a terrible mess in the bathroom and had set something on my granite countertop. Luckily for him, the ring did go away in a couple of days. Overall, I like the bathtub. I like the way it looks and everything. It’s an overall improvement to the value of the home and everything.

Bath Fitter was not a good experience for me. The job was done properly and all that but with what you pay for, it looks very cheap. I'm not thrilled with it but I got to live with it now because I put the money into it. My experience with the sales representative was very bad. He promised all kinds of things that he couldn't provide. And when the little guy got here to install it, he said, "Oh, no, you don't get that, Oh, no, that doesn't happen." I was not a real happy camper. I had to have glass put around the top part of it and the glass door. She said she wanted to build a relationship with a new glass company so I had made an appointment with them.

They were supposed to come the same day Bath Fitters was here for the installation to measure and then come three days later or within a week to complete it. That company called me that day like an hour before they were supposed to show up and canceled the appointment. They asked me to reschedule. I said, "Not on your life." So I had to call another glass company that Bath Fitter uses on a regular basis and get them to come out but I couldn't get them to come out for a month and a half. I didn't use my new shower for a month and a half. It was a hassle. It was a nightmare I didn't need.

We had the tub, the walls and the ceiling done by Bath Fitter. They were recommended to us by a friend who was in the plumbing industry. The sales representative came to our house just once. It definitely felt like it was a step-by-step selling process but he was a nice guy. He was doing his job. The installer was nice as well, and quick. There was some stuff on like the wooden floor outside of the bathroom I noticed, like little particles but nothing like overwhelmingly bad. However, we definitely are walking away with it feeling like it maybe overpriced even though we talked the price down. Maybe we should have shopped around for better prices because it was just very expensive. Our water makes a whistling noise when it comes out.

My husband had called and scheduled someone to come out and fix it. He came and he supposedly fixed it but then it still whistled. And then when he came out again, my husband didn't tell me when he was going to come so he came and no one was home. So we still haven't resolved the issue. It's like a high-pitched whistle.

We went to a home show in Charlotte and Bath Fitter had a display there. They explained what they did and it looked good so we went with it. We had one of them big garden tubs and we went with just a deeper, soaking tub that took up a lot less room. And they took out the tile in the shower and put the shower things up that they do, and we got glass doors. The sales representative's name was Sam. He was really good and thorough. He gave us an estimate and the final tally was about that. There wasn't any more money. He explained it quite well. Two guys came to do the install and they were pretty good. They worked well together. It took them two days and it worked out quite well too. They did the plumbing and the valves.

There was one problem. They subcontract out for the glass doors. It took three tries before we got the glass doors correct. The doors were big and heavy, and it kept falling off. And one time it started ripping the paneling or the shower stall. But Bath Fitter did come back and they fixed that so that they could put the doors back on. Everything came out in the wash, but it wasn't their fault. It was who they subcontract. It was a good experience.

I have to say this is a CONTRITE company! I have received more sincere apologies than I expected. Best of all, our installer was here bright and early and is doing an amazing job, especially considering he's dealing with an old house with zero even angles. His supervisor came by to see how things were going and give me a lovely gift. Totally unnecessary, but very much appreciated. All is looking good and I'm anticipating a wonderful final project. These are nice people to deal with, even when having to deal with an angry lady! If there are any problems with the new tub, I'm sure I can get them resolved with no issues.

Just an FYI, ask your salesman to book an alternative date just in case.

I have made two calls to my salesperson and have, as yet, received a call back. While I understand issues occur, it bothers me that there are no substitute installers and my schedule is disrupted because of it. I was told their installers are booked solid, but that should not be my problem. I'm hoping some sort of consideration will be made because of this complete disruption.

I had talked and gotten to know several people in Bath Fitter. I was a contractor myself for several years and we used to do home shows and Bath Fitter would also be in those home shows. Also, I had read good things about them on the Internet from Angie’s List and the Better Business Bureau and other reviews that were online. So we decided to get Bath Fitter for our bathroom remodel.

The sales rep was a very personable and knowledgeable guy who’s actually a contractor himself. He came and did the estimates for us, and we had a nice discussion about our projects and other things we could do in the house. I had less interaction with the installation team because they were busy doing the work, but they explained everything that they were gonna do and how long it was gonna take. They did what they said they were gonna do.

The only thing is we had three bathrooms to be done and they had a different person come and do each one. The first guy that came that did the bathroom didn’t quite get finished - a couple of trims still had to be done. He said the next guy who would do the second bathroom would take care of that. The second guy didn’t really know that he was supposed to do that, so it got dropped until the third bathroom got done. I had to pick up the pieces for the first one. I just thought if you do a job, it should be one crew or one team that does the whole thing, rather than three different people. But other than that, we’re happy. Everything turned out fine and it wasn’t a big thing.

I'm very pleased overall, except with the ongoing mold that I keep getting all around the caulking. I always have cleaned my shower or tub after use, and with the proper products. When contacting my local Bath Fitter, they said to fix the problem would be a charge to me of $100 to replace the caulking. I was quite put off by this, as they are suppose to have a lifetime guarantee. NOWHERE ON THE PAPER WORK I RECEIVED OR ON THE BATH FITTER WEBSITE IS THERE ANY REFERENCE TO AN EXCEPTION TO THE LIFETIME GUARANTEE OF THE WARRANTY COVERING THE "MATERIAL, LABOR, AND INSTALLATION."

I had used Bath Fitter a couple of years ago actually. And initially when I had used them a few years ago, I had seen them at one of the home shows. They came out and they were very pleasant, gave me an estimate and it was fitting my budget, it was reasonable. They did what they said they were going to do. When I needed them to do more work, I didn't even consider anybody else. I just called them.

The sales rep measured up stuff and he showed me pictures in his books and different things that he’d done for different customers and quoted me a price and they stood by it. When the installation team came to work here the first time, it was just one guy that did the work, and he did a great job. I've actually had two different tubs done on two different occasions. So one guy did the one tub by himself, and then the second tub, two guys came. And I mean, they take it apart and clean up and they’re done. They were great.

I purchased a Bath Fitter complete shower from a tub over shower. It looked very nice and seemed ok at first. After a while it started to have problems. The worst was when one of the shower doors exploded for no apparent reason. Bath Fitters had no explanation for what happened. No one was in the shower at the time but I was standing at the bathroom sink area and believe me, I was scared to death. They replaced the door. I have had cracks at the joint areas. I have had the grab bar replaced because the "gold" color faded to dull steel. That is still not fixed right because they used some kind of chemical to stick the new grab bar on the wall and it corroded the metal and I had some kind of blue material running down the wall for weeks. The doors have become stuck twice. The handheld shower wand cracked open and sprayed water all over my bathroom. They take at least a week to repair anything. And why should there be so many repairs in the first place?? I have a warranty otherwise I would have hired a lawyer by now. Even so if things continue in this manner I am going to hire an attorney and sue them.

Hi Barbara, thank you for writing to us regarding the issues with your bathtub. We’ve reached out to your local office and have been informed the "Proxi" cleaner used to clean your tub is not an approved cleaner of Bath Fitter and may be the source of the fading color on the grab bar. We've also learned your local office will be installing another safety bar & brass handle for your shower door, but will be testing the material first to find out if there are any other factors that may be causing the corrosion. We appreciate your patience, if you have any other questions or concerns, please write to our customer service team at customercare@bathfitter.com, thank you.

He put mats down on the floors. He was very pleasant. The experience was awesome. I would definitely do it again. In fact, when I do my bathroom downstairs, I would probably give them a call.

My tub upstairs had a crack and I had seen Bath Fitter on TV. I went to a couple of other providers and my wife was more satisfied with the appearance of their tub and the walls. And in discussing what they were going to do, it seemed like a pretty good deal. Our old tub was ripped out, the new tub put in, and we had them redo the walls all the way up to the ceiling. I had a faucet put in an upstairs bathroom and a faucet put in a downstairs bathroom. The sales representative was very knowledgeable, very friendly, no pressure. And we made our decision that day.

The only negative thing I have to say is that they had said five weeks and it ended up being closer to eight weeks. And I only got that because I made a phone call to them. And then they said, "Oh, we were just going to call you. We have an opening next Tuesday." Well, I don't believe that but okay. It's done and I'm very happy. The installers were fine. They went right to work down here at 7:30 or quarter to 8:00. And my wife was amazed. They were out of here by noontime.

I only have a shower in my basement and I wanted to be proactive as I age to have it upstairs (I was fortunate enough to have some money that I could use for that purpose). And then I wanted to make sure I had two bars installed so that, again, being proactive for my later years, and also figuring that that would help the value of the house should I ever have to put it up for sale. So I contacted Bath Fitter. It was one of the wise decisions that I made for my future.

It was a WONDERFUL experience. It was just great from start to finish, starting from the very first person who showed me all of my options and explained everything and told me how it was going to happen -- that was very good. Then the next person who came in to do all of the measurements was very, very good too. This is just a little thing, but it meant a lot to me. When he came in (he came in through my front door and had to walk through the house) he took his shoes off so that he wouldn’t trail any dirt, that little thing really said a lot to me. And then, the two gentlemen who did the actual work were polite, friendly, professional, neat as could be and efficient.

I’m not being gushy, I am being very sincere. I was very, very pleased, and I’ve already talked to people about my experience with Bath Fitter, praising and positively...

So, I purchased the overlay tub and had that done January this year. The sales representative was very informative. The man who did the installation was professional. The only problem I had is after he left and I really went in there and looked at it, the caulking was a little bit too high up. It didn’t look as professional as I was expecting it to be. So we did it, so I’m happy with it now.

There’s only one thing that they did not tell me. My daughter and I were at home when he installed the overlay tub and we didn’t realize that the smell was gonna give us a headache. We probably would’ve opened the windows. We didn’t realize until after he left, and we were having such a headache. Overall, I’m happy with my experience with Bath Fitter.

It delayed completion on the rental side, but I was kept informed of the problems, progress and expected completion date. The bathroom on our side of the property is absolutely beautiful. The crew arrived when they said they would, protected our carpets, cleaned up everything when they were done and made sure I was happy with the outcome before they left the site. They aren't the least expensive, but the insert will obviously last longer than a DIY fiberglass unit and looks 100 times better than anything I've seen. I can recommend Bath Fitter with a completely clear conscience.

My experience dealing with Bath Fitter was terrible and I would strongly recommend anyone wanting a quality experience to look elsewhere. Our sales rep was completely unprofessional and our dealings with him were like something you would expect from a shady used car salesman. (Not to mention the fact that after leaving our house, he went dumpster-diving in our neighborhood! LOL) The product he sold us was not the product we received. When the installer came to do the work, he realized AFTER he ripped out what we had, that our replacement was much smaller and had to build out our walls with 2x4s to get it to fit. We ended up with a downgrade from what we had originally! I made multiple phone calls to both the corporate and local offices to complain, and over the course of about 3 weeks spoke with a total of 6 different people (including one of the VPs) - who promised he would get back to me within 3 days. Of course, that never happened either. The only thing they managed to do quickly and accurately was send us our bill. HA! This company is a joke.

I had some loose tiles in the bathroom and had one estimate but didn't do it then because it was so expensive. That was before my tile went bad, a year or two before. Then, I decided it was time to remodel. I purchased the whole installation from Bath Fitter, the one-piece wall-- it’s not one piece but it appears that way, with the bathtub that sits over the other bathtub.

The sales rep was fine. We went in to see what we could get. A couple of things he wasn't positive what they could do. But I did tell him I wanted it out a little farther where it could come out on the wall past the bathtub. I asked him, “Can it come out this far?” And he said, “yes.” Then when the guy came to do it, he did go over things with me but we didn't actually bring that specific thing up and I didn't think about it until after he was cutting it and he couldn't bring it out that far because he was already cutting it. I took it for granted that the salesman would write down that, and apparently, he didn't relay that to the installation team. I think the salesmen want to make a sale so bad, they don’t write things down that could help with the installation or when they are verifying with them. It’s not a big deal, but I guess, with salesmen, their main thing is to sell.

The installation guys were friendly. They were pretty busy but they were professional and I felt like they’d done a good job. I've been happy with the Bath Fitter remodel and the installers.

I’m displeased with the way things went down with them. The installing team did a beautiful job, but during the installment my commode was loosened from the base and there was a whole puncture in the wall behind the door. I called and I filed a complaint. I was displeased with the representative that they sent out. He was kind, but I explained to him what happened. It was my intention to buy a new commode, but at that particular time, I was not going to purchase one. But after the base was broken on it to the extent that it was getting one-sided, I called and I didn’t get any answer from Bath Fitter so I went ahead and purchased it. When the rep came out and he observed it, he said he could not understand how this could happen. I said, I was going to purchase me a commode. I explained to him, I didn’t take pictures to let them see what was the outcome of the result of the installation.

When I tried reaching Bath Fitter to explain to them what happened, they could have come out when it first happened so they could have seen it. I wasn’t satisfied with the explanation. I was very displeased, but he did patch the hole in the wall and he said to give him a call and he would come back and send it. I have been out of the house so I had not given him a call to come back in order to send it, but I’m not even going to bother him about sending it. I’m not trying to get anything out of Bath Fitter. I’m paying for what I’m getting. And then, knowing that if I was going to purchase my commode, I’d have purchased it anyway. I was dissatisfied with the explanation the rep gave me. And that’s water under the bridge, but if I have to refer them to someone else, it got a bitter taste in my mouth.

I had a terrible experience from the beginning with Bath Fitter in Roseville, MN. I made arrangements to do a simple thing as to receive a bid for the bathroom modification I needed to make it wheelchair accessible. I was scheduled with someone who called and asked for clarification on what his instructions were for, how to get into my building which were clear to begin with. It was "come to the main doors (either of them), use the security box, enter the code provided, and it would ring to my cell phone." I would then come and let "Marc" in. I agreed though since he seemed to need extra help to wait in the parking lot with my dog.

He didn't show up in 15 minutes as indicated, so I took my dog in so she could run around. He called from his cell phone (not the security box as was indicated) and said he was at the door. I came out to the door (both actually running between) he was not at either door. An HOUR later, he calls and says he is in the lot and "what did I want to do". I wanted someone there on time and someone who was not going to lie to me. He was nowhere to be seen. He was not where he said he would be. Bath Fitters didn't even return an email sent about this experience last evening. Horrible experience with such disregard for others.... If a contractor can't do a simple thing like find a door, how on earth was a bathroom going to be modified in a timely manner.

I'm happy with Bath Fitters. So far, I haven't had any real issues. Just some questions, which they took care of. But I'm really happy with the product. One thing I'd like to say, a lot of times the questions about quality in that is a little bit too soon. Sometimes, I think it takes a little longer to see how things work out and what happens, adjustments and things happen. But they call you right after it's finished to get a lot of things, questions answered about how well things were done when it was just put in. So I'm a little reluctant to really just sign off on everything right away. Sometime it takes 90 days or something, and then call me back and see if I'm having issues and you need to come out for something, but all that's done within the first two or three weeks. And of course everything is still drying up and it's still fresh.

The guy came out last week and did some caulking issues and some other things they informed me about. The rings around the full bar, they'd come loose, but we handled that right over the phone. Other than that, I'm very happy with the product and I'm looking to have another bathroom done. They provided a very good service for me. It was great.

They put down tarps that were very heavy and there was absolutely no mess when they left. They took everything with them that they didn't need, and left it in great order. We purchased from Bath Fitter the acrylic, whole pack: bathtub, shower, roof, tops and everything. My daughter picked out everything herself with dates and sales rep. All I did was pay. My 13 year old daughter is very happy with Bath Fitter. Dave, the sales rep, was very good considering he was dealing with a 13 year old. They went through the book to look and check the different options and came up with what my daughter wanted. My daughter had a perfect interaction with their sales rep. The guys who installed them were also excellent. There were two of them, and they did a perfect job. It was a more complicated job than our upstairs that Bath Fitter also worked on before.

We wanted another encapsulated model, so they had to remove part of the ceiling and they had to frame in a new ceiling and not a complaint, no problem, no hassles, a nice neat job, and real gentlemen. When my daughter got home from school, they asked her where she wanted her bars put and where she wanted the shelves to be put, and what she thought of how everything was looking. They spent a lot of time with her too to make sure everything was perfect. They were really good guys and did a nice job cleaning up. We've recommended them to lots of people.

We had a new shower installed a little more than a week ago and had two problems. When installing the shower the installer made two holes in opposite wall. Also the trim on the wall opposite shower wall from door is buckled. Called the day after work was done because I get home after hours and wife set an appointment for the next Wednesday for the installer to return. He didn't show and we were told it for some reason didn't get on his calendar. He came the next day. When repairing the wall the hole was bigger than we hoped and the patch was taking a while to dry.

I understand this so I told him I would finish sanding and painting. The only thing he did for the trim was fill the gaps with caulk. Still has an apparent gap. I blame install and myself for not staying and watching. No one from customer service or the salesman has contacted us to check and see if everything is ok. The actual product looks to be good quality just not good installation.

However, I'm disappointed on one thing about it. They told me they were going to have a higher toilet for my father and they didn't. Their tallest toilet was 17 inches high, which doesn't help him because he's old. He's 91 and feeble. Also, it seemed a little pricey. We got a shower and a toilet for $6,800. But other than that, the job was fine. It's done, it's good. I can't complain. The sales representatives were all very good. They were very polite and got back to me in a timely fashion. It was just the toilet height. I’m disappointed, it was big. And now we have to buy another toilet.

The guy really did a wonderful job. He did a perfect job of the bathtub, and the grab bars and towel bars. We have a really nice bathroom that we put in about 5 years ago down stairs on our ground floor with all new fixtures, all new floors, all new tile, all new everything. It's just amazing to us. And when we show it to everybody they just think it's great.

We do have to have Bath Fitters come back because we had a new floor put down. We had some tiles put in. So probably sometime in the next two weeks, I'd give them a call to come back and just seal the outside of the bathtub on the floor next to the new floor and just run a sort of a gel type thing around the edge of the wall by the bathtub.

So far we have no complaints. We were more than pleased. We even wrote a letter and passed it in to Bath Fitter about how pleased we were. We would recommend them a hundred percent.

I decided to go with them mainly because they covered everything. The price was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I needed a sink replaced and the bathroom too and they did everything.

I had several things done - a surround, tub cover or insert, a shower faucet, shower head, and the corner pieces with the shelves. I made my purchase about a month ago and this was the first time I remodelled with them. When the sales rep first came to the house, he was very courteous. He showed us everything, gave us little tips as far as what’s high-end and what’s not high-end. He was very thorough. He showed us samples of what, in fact, his group had done and he was just quite informative. He seemed very down to earth and honest. The installation team was one guy and I was amazed. It took eight hours but there was a lot of work to do, and he did everything. He cleaned up very well. Everything was really good with it. Overall, they were very good! I'd do it again.

I sent e-mails and left several voicemail messages with the local Bath Fitter to inform them of the shower leak and water damage. It's unfortunate that I had to write a public review to get Bath Fitter to respond to my situation. But immediately after posting this review, their local office contacted me. It still took several months to get my issue resolved, so I can't give Bath Fitter a higher rating. But they eventually replaced the shower (hopefully no more leaks) and I am now putting my bathroom back together.

    Original Review: May 16, 2014

Bath Fitter completed installation of a shower pan and shower liner about one year ago. I noticed shortly after installation that the caulking had separated. I contacted Bath Fitter and they re-caulked the shower. I contacted Bath Fitter a couple more times because the caulking kept separating. In March, I noticed a leak from the bathroom into the next room. Bath Fitter did not come out right away, so I contacted a leak detection company. The leak detection company determined that the caulking failed and would continue to fail because "the shower surround walls and shower pan flex when in use which has caused the caulking at the shower pan and walls to separate. Water is leaking at the failed caulking/transition point of the shower pan and surround of the shower".

A restoration company dried out the bathroom to prevent mold with dehumidifiers and blowers running around the clock for several days. The restoration company had to remove and discard the stone tile floor I had just installed one year ago and remove my toilet, and baseboards. The insurance adjuster estimated that the cost to replace my floor and baseboards, drywall and paint, and install the toilet is over $1,600.00. Of course faulty installation is not covered by my insurance and this estimate does not include the cost to fix the shower leak! I am beside myself because I paid over $6,000 for this shower that leaks and now my bathroom is ruined. Bath Fitter did NOT respond to the complaint I filed with the corporate office, nor has the company responded to my voicemail messages or e-mails. Bath Fitter has not even responded to the complaint I filed with the BBB two weeks ago. The BBB is sending a second letter requesting a response from the company. Buyer Beware!

I've had my first Bath Fitter remodel a year ago for an investment property I own. With tenants in there, I didn't want it to take more than one day so the one day was a big selling point for me. I had them install a tub because I was told by their salesperson that that would solve the problem of water leaking upstairs onto the downstairs on the tenant's bedroom. So one year ago, we did that but that did not solve the problem. One year later, they put in the tub surround and that did solve the problem. While I was quite happy with the tub surround installation and procedure, I think it was a hit and miss experience because I spent twice as much as I had originally planned to spend when I thought that the tub was going to solve the problem as indicated by the original sales professional.

He was very helpful and went through every avenue as far as styles, etc. Scott had an installation appointment set to our surprise for only two weeks. When Brandon showed up, he did a magnificent job tearing out the old bathtub which was a complete unit, so it was not easy.

He was very meticulous, every line had to match and the bars and shower heads, etc had to line up perfectly to the lines on the walls. Brandon was very friendly and did not mind us watching a lot of the work. He is a very impressive young man, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to install anyone's units. When they took out my whole bath tub, put the shower, the walk-in the shower with the doors, I had a space between my towel and my new bath tub. I’m so impressed with my bathroom. My husband had remodeled it in 1989 and had used enamel board. The enamel was starting to peel off and it just looked ugly. And my husband had since passed away and I knew I couldn't do that kind of thing myself and I went to who I thought I could really trust and that would be this company. I've been aware of Bath Fitter for years through advertisements in magazines and newspaper and so on. And I've heard good things about them as well. My experience was bang on. They've been in business for 25 years. A tried and true sort of thing.

I purchased the whole enclosure from them a good five weeks ago. New walls, new ceiling, new doors, new faucets and controls. They left the existing bathtub there and put the formed tub around into it. The young man that was here for 11 hours that day, very professional. He really didn't take any time to visit which he wasn't here for and I admired that. But we had a nice chat afterwards when he was packing stuff up and leaving and he did a beautiful, beautiful job. I would try making a few comments while he was working. He really would just answer but I tried not to get in his way. He did a really professional job. I am really impressed with Bath Fitter and I can't recommend them enough.

I didn't like the stains caused from the iron deposit, so we put an overlay over the tub that was in there last summer. We didn't check out a different company because I felt like Bath Fitter was very reputable. That was our first purchase with them. The gentleman that I worked with was very nice. I happen to like the way they handled things. I like the way it looks. Everything is fine.

My wife heard about Bath Fitter through her coworker. My wife was the one who got it going about a year ago, in August, when we needed to replace our tub and shower area. We thought Bath Fitter was the best thing going so we went into their shop. Everything went smoothly with their sales representative... everything was good... everything went well. The installers were quick and efficient. It was done right the first time.

I got the surround walls in the bathroom March last year and they did a fantastic job! I had a tile in my bathroom that I absolutely hated so I talked to some people but they were dragging their feet, that they didn't really want to do it and that they didn't know anything about the product that would work. Bath Fitter on the other hand was here on time and they said they would do it in a timely manner and they did. It was my first time to remodel with them. The sales representative was very good. He explained everything and he was very nice to work with. This was the same thing with the installation team. They did a very good job and they cleaned up very well.

It’s been 19 years so a year ago we decided it was time to remodel our bathroom. I had nothing but a shower, so I got the tub and insert around the walls. Their sales representative was great and was very explicit. He explained everything and everything was exactly the way he said it was going to be. As for the installation team, he kept everything nice and clean and was in and out in a day. It was a very good experience. We were very happy with everything. They also took our Wells Fargo home project card which helped out a lot.

I had Bath Fitter install a walk-in shower last year. I like their lifetime warranty, single installation, no seams to worry about, and the colors. Everything was professional and everyone was courteous. The sales rep came at the appointed time and showed me what the products were. It was our choice. The installers were very professional. They were on time, did a good job, cleaned up after themselves, and left with a working product. It's a good product.

The summer of 2013 the paint blistered on the bottom door rail. We paid over four thousand for this. Were told it had lifetime warranty on work that was done and the material was covered also. Started calling in the late summer of 2013. We talked to a Lady and was told, she would set up time for the repair person to call and come and do the repair. No one ever called. Started calling again the first of 04/14 when we returned to the coast. Was told, "your rep would come 5/2/14." Waited all day and no one showed up. Called Bath Fitters again 5/2 and again on 5/3. No one called me back. Still getting the same run around. I hope whoever reads this thinks twice before going with this Bath Fitter out of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Somebody died in the bathtub and so we wanted to replace it with a fresh one. We went with Bath Fitter because they were the easiest people who just came looking and said, “Yeah, we can do that because we custom make it.” Their sales reps came by twice, once to look at it and explain the cost, once to do final measurements, showed me the whole package, asked me what I wanted. Very professional, well explained and went very smooth.

The installation team came by and explained that the original plan wasn't quite going to work because the plumbing was different than expected and then they explained what the work ground was going to be and got my approval to do it slightly different than originally planned. They did a good job of making it look good in the end and looking after details and explaining any concerns they had of how it might affect the drywall. Bath Fitter is very good. It was an easy experience.

The tub was old and had stains on it. We had Bath Fitter redo the bathtub. The sales rep came to the house. He was very good and gave me good information. Whatever he told me seemed to be true and I followed through with it and it was fine. I had no issues with the installers. It was relatively smooth and easy. It was a very good experience.

The experience with Bath Fitter was outstanding. We were in BJs when they had a display so we went and talked to the lady up there. I was getting ready to remodel. I saw what they had and felt they could do a better job than I could and I liked it. We had a garden tub in that had a full shower. So we wanted the biggest shower stand they have. And in the other bathroom, we decided to halfway match up the walls with the tub cover and get a closure on it also. Everything was straightforward with the sales representative and I knew exactly what we were getting and how it was going to go about. The installers were professional and did a good job. I wasn't here but I didn't have any mess or anything when I got home. So I was tickled.
