    I'm an architect and did this Bath Fitter remodel for my sister-in-law where she needed to have the biggest bang for the buck and that certainly was the cheapest way of getting it remodeled. We did a shower surround and a tub surround. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and very thorough, a real salesman. He wanted to upsell us but we were looking to get it warm and dry and keeping it from leaking. It was only used 3 weeks a year so we didn't want to put big money into it. I let the installers in in the house in the morning and locked it up after they left.

    We are enjoying our shower very much. We've had it for about three months now. We purchased a new shower, corner caddy, the shower head, etc. from Bath Fitter as we've been wanting to get rid of our old bathtub for a long time. We had a good experience with them.     I first heard about the Bath Fitter through the radio. Our tile was coming off, so it was time to remodel the bathroom.     I never had problems with the Bath Fitter. I purchased a shower conversion with the 3- or 4-inch lift from them about a year ago because I didn't like what I had. The sales representative answered everything but was pushy. I was a general contractor for 13 years. I didn't treat people that way and really didn't appreciate him doing it but just let it slide. Other than that, the Bath Fitter did well. They did everything they said they would do.

    We needed a shower really bad because our old bath tub was about ready to conk out and getting rusty - it's steel. We made our purchase with Bath Fitter in August and they put it in in September. I got no complaints with the sales representative and the guy who did it was polite and kind. He explained everything and didn't rush the job. The only problem is that the warranty is awfully high. We've never seen any warranty so high on a shower, $4,000 and we can't understand why. I wish they could take it down because you never know how long you're going to live.

    I purchased the walk-in shower about 4 or 5 months ago. The sales rep was absolutely professional. Just 1-2-3 in the way he laid the stuff on me. They're honest and forthright. There was only one guy who installed it and he came at exactly the time that he said he was going to be here. He was pleasant and professional.     We got an estimate a year or two before we had the actual work done. We had them come out and give us the estimate. The sales rep was awesome. But we couldn't afford to do it so we waited until we had money where we felt like we needed to move forward with it. Last February we finally got our new bathtub with the surround. I love the product. And I was happy with the initial experience with them and from that standpoint I would recommend them. However, what I purchased was supposed to be that if it needed re-caulking I could call and have that done. I was not happy with the follow-up while trying to get somebody back out here to do that.

    Bath Fitter was great. I chose them because my brother had his bathroom done by them and it looked great. It was also time to remodel the bathroom because it's 22 years and I had won the shed tubs and I didn't like it anymore. The workers, the sales representative, are very polite, very informative, very nice, very clean. They are very good people. The ones who made the installation were great guys. I'm glad they cleaned up and did everything. My only issue with it is when the tub clogged up a month and a half ago, I called Bath Fitter because I didn't want to call regular plumber because of the tub.     I did research online and chose Bath Fitter because they had a 24 hour turnaround. This was December. We had one bathroom in our house and needed a quick turnaround for this remodel. The rep was here almost two hours showing me the different samples and talking about their product and what they could do in my bathroom. We were real impressed with what they can do. However, in my walk-in shower, the little center track that holds the glass doors and lets the glass doors slide back and forth, didn’t stick for some reason. Unfortunately, I was taking a shower and that whole panel of glass when I was sliding it jumped down, and I was able to catch it. Otherwise I could have been cut severely. So I called the company and told them. They were out within two days and fixed that and couldn’t apologize enough over that.

    I went with another remodeling company originally nine years ago and it was never done correctly so we had a major mold problem and decided to do it for a second time with Bath Fitter. This is our first Bath Fitter remodel. The sales rep was good. But the interactions I had with the installation team were not so good. They tried to tell us that we had to fix the wall, that was never discussed prior and they tried to do some things to get us to pay for them. I ended up calling the salesman and told him to come to my house and he did, and remedied the problem. But I didn’t appreciate the installers at all. Another thing that the installer did that I was unhappy about is that I have my daughter’s bedroom right next to the bathroom and when he started to use some standing, he didn’t shut the bedroom doors. That would have been a very easy thing to shut the door so that the sun wouldn’t get into the room and I had to tell him to do that and he got annoyed with me. He was less than what I would have wanted.

    I first heard about Bath Fitter through a state fair exhibit or the Illinois State Fair. This is my first Bath Fitter remodel. It was an old surround tub shower. It was a shower that was in an oblong type do. It's very small and quaint and we needed to have it enlarged. We made it in September. It was in middle August and then delivered in September. Sales rep was very good. He told me what all they do and he answered all the questions I asked him and told us how long it takes for the guy to do it, roughly 5 to 6 hours which exactly what happened. One did all the installation. The guy told me he'd be here between 10 and 10:30. He was here at 8:30, done by 1:15, out the door by 1:30. He was very clean. There was no dust, no nothing. He was very efficient. Overall, I’d recommend Bath Fitter.

    We went to a home show and that was the first time I had been introduced to Bath Fitter. I was really impressed with the looks of their product and because my 88 yo mother lives with me and I needed something that I could actually rely on with the handicap bars, etc. I chose to go with them for our bathroom remodel.

    We completely redid two bathrooms. We had a bathroom that had a bath tub and we turned that into a shower. And then we like it so well we completely redid a shower too. We went from two bathrooms that I really didn’t care too much for to absolutely fantastic! brand new, easy to clean, easy to use, I love everything about them!! Also, the gentleman that installed them was very nice. He had been doing it for several years and he had some really good ideas for us. I wanted the chair (that was in the actual tub) in the shower but one that didn’t fold down and that wouldn’t have worked for my mother. He changed it for us and that was fantastic because what we have now is perfect for my mom.

    We decided to purchase a complete shower install from Bath Fitter because it was less money. We wanted our shower done but didn’t want the whole bathroom torn apart. The guy that installed it did a really good job although it took longer than what we were thinking because when they first made it in Tennessee, after the initial salesman came and took the measurements, it was done incorrectly. So it got pushed back quite a while because they had to send it back to Tennessee and have them redo it.

    Bath Fitter did a tremendous job. Someone on the internet recommended me to call Bath Fitter. Their head salesman came out and showed me some samples. They did a tremendous job but our contractor that put in the shower totally messed up. So they had to rip out all the old stuff and they put in all the way down to almost the bottom. Then they had rebuild it. The guy that made a presentation said, "Russel, this is on me." The last technician came out to put in the seat and he did an excellent job. We were really impressed by him.

    I had a sales rep out from Bath fitters on Nov 14th. They could see the water damage on the walls in the bathroom and down to the main level. I was advised they will work on the bathroom only fine. After a bit of worry on my part due to low income finances. I parted with a $500.00 deposit. I was told I had 5 days to review and or change my mind. Two days later Nov 16th I get a call to advise that they could come the next day (17th) to install. I said no as I had to work and I had it planned as per my work order that I needed the week of Nov 25th as I was on vacation.

    I was then told the 27th would be my install date and they would call back as a reminder. On Nov 21st I get a voice mail to call them. As it was after hours I did not call. On the Nov 22nd I get another call while I am at work with a voice mail to call them as they were only there till 2 pm that day. When I call back at 12:50pm I speak to a lady and she states that she has to change my dates (with no explanation) to either the 26th or the 28th. Since I had plans on the 26th I stated I have no choice but the 28th. I also mentioned the part on the work order of number 7 wall repair. $125.00 per wall. I had stated that it was evident that some wall work was needed. BUT for some reason it is not mentioned in the work order by the sales rep. She then asked me to hold but as I was at work I asked her to call me back. As of today Nov25th I have not had any call back to confirm this. Guess I am not that important to them.

    NOW as I had stated they would not do my main level wall work which is fine BUT I was fortunate enough to get a handy man that now owns his own business and is an ex bath fitter installer. Without me saying how much I paid he then told me that I should only be paying half of what bath fitters is charging me. Not making me feel as confident about Bath fitters as I have been. As I have no choice but to get my bathroom fixed. It would be nice to know what my money is really going to, and what is included. Since no one has the decency to let me know.

    I had Bath Fitters come out to handle an estimate a few years back and was not interested in their product or prices. Since then I have received numerous calls a month and at all times of the day. I finally answered today and the rep was very rude and pushy. He would not allow me to speak nor did he appreciate me stating I was not interested. He continued to state that a rep was going to my house and it would not take long. After going in circles with him and him getting even more rude, I told him I was not interested and have a good day. He basically got snippy with me and hung up.     I had a Bath Fitter over my porcelain tub and later used a drain cleaner chemical which melted and yellowed it around the drain. Now the tub looks dirty all the time and there is nothing I can do. Lifetime warranty doesn't help as apparently it was in the fine print not to use drain cleaner. It would be a better investment to get a new tub.

    I'm getting older and wasn't using the tub. I was climbing over to get into the shower and have one bad leg, so it was time to have a walk-in shower. I purchased the walk-in shower with the sliding doors from Bath Fitter. The sales representative was very thorough and did a great job. However, I had somebody come back two days later and say, "Well, he told you that you could have a shower curtain, and you can't." So we had to add the doors. That was a little disconcerting but it was a necessary change as the curtains would have been in the toilet. It wouldn't stay up on the wall because it would slide down. I could handle that.

    The installer seemed very nice. He actually liked my dog and that makes it even better. He told me about one place that he had gouged in the wall when he took the bathtub out. He fixed that, but I am noticing that apparently he must have hit the door frame and the wall where I have a paneling on the side, because there are indentations there. It's nothing horrible and the woodwork does need to be redone, so it's not that bad. Other than that, I'm very pleased with Bath Fitter. It came at the right time because right after that my left knee decided that it was going to need replacement surgery, which is coming out in 3 weeks. I would have had a very difficult time getting in and out of the tub, so I bought it at exactly the right time. It was a great experience.

    Well I got an estimate about October 10th, decided it was a good idea and my small bathroom really needed something. After almost a month of waiting they came on November 6th for the install. Install took all day and didn't get completed because the tub liner and tub was off balance. So it ended up needing a custom door runner which was fine, it just could take a week or more. Well it's been a week and still no door, and also I'm experiencing a small leak with the plumbing they did which is creating damage if ran. Called about both topics today and was told I'll need to wait 24 hours for an answer with my shower door. And up to 72 hours for a technician to come out and fix the leak. I was referred to Bath Fitter for my home, but honestly I'm not very satisfied. It was very costly for the size of my bath and took more than 1 day.

    I decided to remodel my bathroom because it was old and dingy and disgusting, and I had to do something. I wanted to get rid of the tile and the grout. Now, I not only have the tub unit from Bath Fitter but I have the wainscoting as well. We chose them because the value for what they were giving us was good, and also there are no seams in it and there’s no grout - it’s like a one unit, both in the tub and on the wall. I knew I was never going to worry about grout again. Their sales rep was great. He explained everything and why Bath Fitter was a better value although it is pricey too. They offered a lifetime warranty so I could call someone to service me. That’s another thing: service after the sale, you don't get that with a regular contractor.

    The first installation guy was very good and answered questions. The second guy was really funny; he talked to me while he was installing, explaining things to me, so I really appreciated that extra explanation so I could understand. All in all, it was good experience. We only had one issue. After the wainscoting, we had a little bit of a leak on the sink because the sink had to be put back on. We called and they serviced us right away and it was fine. Overall, it was excellent, professional, and instructional.

    I met with Eric ** from the South NJ Bath Fitter Franchise and signed papers for a renovation on my 91 year old mother's 1906 home to do a bathtub to shower conversion. Her health deteriorated significantly after the contract was signed and past the 3 day right to cancel time period. I attempted to work with Eric, who was easy to contact but did nothing to help me and **, the regional sales manager to cancel this project. The project was stopped but the 10% deposit I placed was kept by the company. They stated the costs they incurred in dealing with me were significant and they were not willing to do a partial refund or transfer the deposit in any amount to a project I will be doing in the San Francisco area.

    I jumped too quickly in making this decision and am disappointed in myself but also disappointed that the company was not willing to work with me in any constructive manner to resolve the situation where both of us came out with some degree of satisfaction. It will certainly make me really re-evaluate my plans for the project in California. At no time in the negotiation with Eric ** was it mentioned that this franchise had NOTHING to do with the organization in California and the money could not be transferred. I understand they had costs in working with me but the customer no service aspect of this is very disturbing.

I wanted to have it so the doors could open out, but the guy at Bath Fitter said it wouldn't be the best idea. Everything turned out great. I like my shower. There's just one thing. When the guy came to install it, he did a great job but left silicon on my floor in my bathroom, and I have tiles.     Bath Fitter did a fabulous job. I'd give them an A+. I had heard of them but also saw a kiosk in the mall. I also did some investigating and what they did and their products and their good customer service just seemed to be a good fit. We didn't like the way the builder had done the shower area and one bathroom area in our 4 bathroom house and just wanted to re-do it. We were considering selling the house in maybe three years and retiring elsewhere but we thought it would perk up the bathroom.     On 9/2/2014 we had our bathtub and shower refitted by Bath Fitter at cost of around $5200. The installer did an outstanding job, performed professionally and cleaned up completely. We informed him of our satisfaction with him. However, there has been no opportunity to express this to his company - we have heard from no one. No - "how does it look? ", "are you pleased? " - nothing. I have an additional shower that needs updating and live in a older condo community that has probably 50 bathrooms that could use work, but I can't suggest Bath Fitter based on your consumer concern. I guess business is fine.

    Additionally, my wife understood that the individual that referred Bath Fitter would receive $100 and that was done, but her understanding was that we were to receive the same as some promotional gift. I would appreciate a clarification on this, as that was our expectation. I am unable to find an order number, but the sales rep was Brian ** from the Sharonville, Ohio office.     Shower installed without pressure or cold water... only tepid on the cold knob. This was fine before install and now told that it was likely our "plumbing line" and would need to pay for a plumber to do the fix. Ripped out vanity/sink, medicine cabinet and light bar and then come to find the medicine cabinet and light bar was not made with same color wood so without this for an additional 4 weeks. Once they came to put up last pieces, found the light bar to be antique brass and all other fixtures were brushed nickel. I was told this was the only way the light bar came. Customer service was deplorable and no one wanted to admit fault.... simple human error. Yes, the error on Bath Fitter who continued to lay blame with customer. Will never, ever recommend to anyone even though the actual product is nice. What a scam...... a bathroom next day. Ha.

    My experience with Bath Fitter was okay. It's too expensive but a good product. We had a leak and converted to a shower. I'm a better salesperson than their sales rep. This lady was not a salesperson. We wanted to finalize the deal and it was like pulling teeth when she found out that we couldn't meet her at 5 o'clock. It was like she doesn't work after 5. When you're a salesperson, you go any time of the day to make a deal, it doesn't matter. She was so focused on being taught this is what you do, this is how you do it - you go by the book. We have to go to this next thing before we can do this. It doesn't work that way.

    You don't talk, you listen. When somebody's ready to buy, you sit there and see the buying signs. We were ready to get some things rolling, and she was told try to get her presentation. But when she was reluctant to come to our house late afternoon. It's like, "No, you come to our house. We're gonna spend $5,000 with you, you come to our house. If we want you to come at 9 o'clock at night, you come at 9 o'clock at night or we'll call somebody else." I would not call for her again. I would refuse to have her again. If I were to do it, I'd just do it myself. I'd just phone call and tell them what I want.

    The installer was excellent. If I would ever to do it again, I would want him to come and do the job. It was perfect. We have no complaints whatsoever on anything that he did. He was very informative and very, very knowledgeable. The tools, any materials he needed, there was no improvising. He had everything he needed. I would recommend Bath Fitter but it just depends on the people you deal with.

    Bath Fitter was fine. I was happy with the work that was done. I’m happy with the shower. But I was not happy with was the salesman. He was fine as far as the sales has been, but at the end of the sale he kind of blew it. He made a statement, and I wrote this up, that when I handed him the check for the deposit he said, “This check’s not gonna bounce, is it?” I kinda found that was insulting. You just don’t give out those kind of negative comments to people when they’re ready to sign a six thousand plus contract.

    The other thing, I guess I probably wasn’t paying attention on this when I signed the contract for the financing, I didn’t realize that the bill was coming from something other than Bath Fitter. I was looking for a Bath Fitter bill and I think I trashed the first bill because I thought it was junk mail. Once I called Bath Fitter and said “hey, I’m not getting a bill” they explained it to me. So then I opened the mail to find out I owed this... where I'm supposed to pay the money there. That could have been explained a little more clearer. But other than that, I’m pretty happy.

    The salesman was very thorough, presented what the options were, explained why it was so expensive, and gave us a pretty good estimate of when the fellow would be coming in to finalize the measurements (and he showed up when the salesman said he would). Our bathroom was not only out of date but the condition of the tub and the surrounding walls was pretty bad. So we got a new tub and the wall coverings to go around the tub area, all the way up to the ceiling. No grab bars, but there is a corner deal that can hold soap bars and bottle of shampoos. The gentleman who did it was very workmanlike and pretty thorough. It took him a long time, he was here most of the day.     We had Bath Fitters in Mount Lake Terrace, WA (425 712-8286) install a walk in shower for us during a remodel. After their completion we did additional work (texture, paint, paneling, molding, trim, etc.). When we installed the shower curtain we realized Bath Fitters had installed the shower curtain rod too high and it would not contain the water inside of the shower when in use. Additionally, Bath Fitters promises a referral gift of $50 to anyone who refers a client to them but never followed up on this.

    I contacted them several times concerning these problems and their representative stated that they always install the shower rods at this standard height. However, they could lower the rod for me and "plug" the holes for me if I would like them to. They also used a large portion of non-paintable caulk which looks terrible. Having been in the construction business I know that one does not install something improperly and tell the customer that “That’s the way we always do it.” We paid them over $5000 expecting a first rate job (as advertised) and do not want them to "plug" holes in our shower walls. Months later, our friends have still not received the $50 referral gift.

    We decided to have our bathroom remodel by Bath Fitter because my husband had an accident at work - he had a really bad fall, flat on his back, he was so hot and dirty and in pain.     I purchased a new home. It is about 15 years old and the stall shower was very, very tired looking and I didn't like it, so I wanted to get something better looking. So I ended up settling on Bath Fitter. I purchased the stall shower kit from Bath Fitter and have them installed it. The sales representative was knowledgeable and answered my questions, and I was very pleased. He was able to show me options and so forth so he knew his product. The installation team kept me informed of what was going on and one thing I was concerned about was whether he might find any damage under the existing stall shower because of maybe water leakage over time or anything. So when he got the old one out, he went over it with me and showed me that everything was good. It didn't have any damage that would have to be addressed. He also made sure to clean up after himself. So overall, that was a good experience.

    The only slight nit I might have is that it did take quite a while to get all the parts. They were having an issue with the supplier of their glass doors. And that held up the installation for at least three weeks. To me, it sounded like it was out of their control because they buy the glass doors. They apparently don't make them themselves. As I say, it was kind of a very small nit but then again, it’s just me and it didn't bother me particularly. Overall, they're competent and professional. I have already recommended them to a friend and neighbor.

    We were very pleased with our first Bath Fitter remodel. We needed some improvement on our bathroom and so we had them install a tub and a surround. We also had some finishing touches done including the grab bar and the corner soap or shampoo holder. The rep was very thorough, showed us all our options of what we could pick, the texture, or the different features of all the items, and he explained everything very well. The install guy got it all done in a day. He was very pleasant and we were very impressed with his work. When he installed the tub lining, we had had like a small crack in our tile floor. It was just an individual piece of tile. However he did it and improved the look of the floor against the tub and he was very meticulous and very thorough in all his work.

    I had my bathroom remodeled because the tub and the shower were old and it was dangerous for me. I had vertigo issues and I needed something modern with handles and stuff. I spoke with Bath Fitter and one other company but I didn't like the attitude of the other company. When I called Bath Fitter, they just talked about their own product and they didn't try and denigrate any other company. They said, “It’s all basically similar, we basically all do the same thing. We just stand behind our products.” I liked the integrity of the way Bath Fitter represented themselves. So I purchased a walk-in shower with safety rails and a seat. Bath Fitter did an excellent job. They sold me the best products they had, they didn't push me to do anything beyond what I wanted and made good recommendations to save me money. It was very professional all the way around. It was a really good experience and it didn't take a lot of time and it was neat and didn't leave my house a wreck.

    Everyone had the skills to do whatever they needed to do while they were here. If it was a floor repair, they could do it; if it was a plumbing issue, they could do it. They didn't have to stop and go and get a subcontractor. And the sales rep was excellent. He's good, very professional. The installer was fantastic. He left the place neat and clean and presentable.     We did two bathrooms with Bath Fitter. We did the tub and the shower in the other bathroom and we had the shower grab bar on both bathrooms. Their sales rep was very, very friendly and during the conversation, there were several coincidences about him and my husband. They were both in the navy, they worked for the same company back in the early 80s at the same time, things like that. So it was a nice experience.

    For the installation, the person that put the tub in did an absolutely perfect job. Everything was absolutely perfect. Whereas for the other installer, he did a very, very good job but it didn't have the perfect finishing touches as what the other one did. We're so pleased with it, but yet, it's better when someone goes that little bit extra and does the perfect job because this is a very expensive investment that we did.

    This is the third time I have submitted a review/complaint about my bath fitters experience - I have called on my other problems - - now I will show the problem - I have had problems with the walls or inserts flexing and seam splitting - the remedy was to put silicon on it and leave - now I will complain about the original issue and the new ones with photos to show the problems and the sad repair of the problems - I had debated contacting my attorney but have held off...     I’m 80 years old and I wanted to take out the bath and put in a shower in my bathroom. I heard about Bath Fitter from a friend. I got about five references from them. I called each person, and I got a very good answer from each of them. All the people I spoke with are more than satisfied. I decided to purchase the shower from them in June.

    The Bath Fitter salesperson was a very pleasant man. He knew his job. He told me what to expect and what he told me was just what happened. He told me in the beginning that there would be a delay because they have to pull a permit, but as soon as the city granted the permit, their worker would come. He also advised me of financing and I took his advice and got it done. Then, a plumbing company came and changed the plumbing. When the plumbing was finished, the city inspector came and inspected it. The day after that, their installation person came and put up the walls, covered it up, and put in the shower. Bath Fitter did a very good job.

    We bought an apartment that had two tubs. I can't get into a tub because I am 88 and partly disabled so I needed something that I could get into without help. So I did a bath to shower conversion with Bath Fitter. When I called them, the sales representative was very nice and explained everything. And the technicians were also very helpful and very efficient. Although, their office isn't so efficient. We never got a bill from them and then we got a phone call from a finance company that we owed the money. They had an inexact address and so the bills kept coming back to them but instead of calling me to tell me that, they turned it over to an agency which did not make me happy.

    If the office had been as efficient as the technical and sales department, I'd recommend them because it really came out looking very nice and I'm happy with it. I don't like receiving calls from finance companies to tell me I owe them money when I never got a bill. I just don't pay blindly, I want to get a bill and then I'll take care of it. Incidentally, I still have not gotten a single statement, invoice or bill from them. I was just really surprised that there was such a discrepancy between that part of their organization and their office.

    I had a bath fitter tub installed 3 years ago. I still love my tub, however, we are away 5 months out of the year and this year when we came back, we started having problems with the hot water. When you start the shower, you have hot water for about one minute, then it gets cold and we have to wait for the furnace to kick on before we start getting hot water again. This never happens with the kitchen or bath sinks, only the shower. Is this a bath fitter problem?

    Our shower stall was poorly installed by a DIY'er before we moved into the house. The floor of the shower didn't slope down to the drain, so the water didn't drain properly and eventually the shower floor leaked into the basement. We called a remodeling company that we trusted and had used before, but they did not seem interested in the job. After coming out to look at the shower they never called back with an estimate, even after we contacted them again - perhaps they had "bigger fish to fry". We saw an ad for Bath Fitters and gave them a call. They came out quickly and gave us an estimate.

    The salesman explained the procedure and all the options. He was very relaxed and we felt no pressure to sign, although the 10% discount if we signed before he left did give us an incentive to make a quick decision (a lot of contractors are doing that now). So we signed, and it took about 3 weeks for them to start the job, but when they came out they did it in one day, as advertised. Workers were very professional and did a very nice job, and cleaned up well. The shower is beautiful and we're glad to be able to use it again. Cost was $4500, which we thought was a bit pricey for a small shower stall, but we're glad to have a useable shower again. I'm sure it took a lot of material to correct the structural problems of the shower floor. Overall, we're very happy with the work they did, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends, if I had any.

    We contracted for a walk in shower as well as a new toilet and new water shut off valve. The shower was done and is absolutely fabulous. We LOVE it. The rep who measured for the new toilet made an error and the plumber was unable to do the work the day he was scheduled here. He attempted to contact his supervisor and the supervisor didn't answer the call and didn't return the call. The supervisor still has not attempted to contact us to complete the work that was begun one week ago today. We gave a deposit for more than 50% of the work when we signed the contract in July and will happily pay the outstanding balance as soon as the work is done. Coworkers, relatives and Facebook friends all knew we were working with Bath Fitters. Everyone has asked how we like our new bathroom and we have had to tell everyone the shower is great, the workers were professional. But the job is not done and no one seems to want to call to finish it.

    At a fair, I filled out a consumer interest in Bath Fitters - I am interested in remodeling at some time. BF followed up, and the hard sell from this salesman was disgusting. The conversation was as follows: "Why couldn't I see them tomorrow?" Coming out next week is inconvenient for them because they will be in my neighborhood tomorrow. I told the guy he was turning me off with his pushiness, but he kept on plowing through. I WILL NEVER USE THIS OUTFIT. I can only imagine what I would have to go through had I let them in my house. They would not have left without a signed contract. Beware dealing with them. This is an old school hard sell, disregarding the customers needs.

    I don't think Bath Fitter is as durable as what we thought it was going to be. It’s tantamount to a Hollywood set. Maybe in the long run it will be better than the fiberglass that we had or the ceramic that we probably would have installed. They put up these tub surround walls and everything else using like a glue pack in order to make everything level - they use a level and they'll shorten it up a little bit more. It’s probably not as durable. It might be in the long run, but probably not as durable as ceramic tile. But they gave us what we wanted. We wanted in and out fast, and it was two days installation each. But for that you pay probably twice as much as you would pay otherwise. They'll keep coming back and they'll keep fixing whatever problem you have, and that’s all covered by the double amount that is charged.

    Every time you take a shower, do you wipe down the walls? I don't think most people do but if you want to keep on top of this stuff, you will do that. You either use vinegar and water to scrub it down, 50-50. Or you wipe it down each time. There’s no grouting. So that’s probably a better idea. But you better keep after it. Their installation people are wonderful. They really, truly know what they're doing. They do rely a lot on silicone caulk. And I guess when you're buying the product, you don't realize that as much. Overall, it’s something that we're still getting used to yet. And in the long run maybe it’s a smart idea.

    After owning our home for 20 years and hating the 2nd upstairs bathroom with a hideous pink scalloped tub from the beginning, we had a Bath Fitter salesperson come in to give us a quote to remove the tub and create a walk-in shower.     I had a shower pan and wall surround installed 3 years ago by Bath Fitters. There is now a leak and I called for service under the no charge warranty which is supposed to last as long as I own the house. I was informed that there is a $95 charge for them to come out to look at it. This charge applies whether the problem ends up being with their unit and installation or whether it is another issue. I could understand the charge if it turns out to be other than their unit, but feel that it is very deceiving if it is an issue with their unit. Would not do business with them again.

    Tub/drain leaking water on bathroom floor. In August I met with Salesman Jerrod. I explained problem and he sold me a tub for $2,500+, but I would have to have a Plumber fix the drain and he never mentioned that they would leave me with no tile above the tub. The Plumber said he needed to remove the tub to fix the drain. Bath Fitter's price to remove the tub was less than the Plumber so when Samantha, a coordinator from B F, called me I asked her if they could remove the tub one day and install on another so I could have the Plumber work on the drain. She said yes and would called me the next day. She never called me, so I waited one more day and called her. She was too busy to call me is what she said. She finally got a man to come out and remove the tub and that's when he told me that he would be leaving me without any tile for 1 to 1 1/2 feet above the tub. He said he was afraid that the salesman didn't mention the tile problem and that he thought they could fix the drain and give us a nice wall around the tub too. He left without removing the tub.

    Jerrod came back and he was in a hurry, so he quickly wrote up a new contract for a wall w/ trim also. Now in the middle of September they called and said they would be out on Monday morning between 8-10 am. At 10:45 am I emailed Samantha because I had hear nothing from anyone or seen a person come to my door. She calls a while later to say that their installer took the wrong order and had already removed someone else's tub. They might be able to make it on Thursday. My husband had stayed home from work for the installation.

Great installation except for a gash by the drain. Sent the Long Island outfit of BF photos and they assessed that the liner had to be replaced. Three weeks later, last Monday, a tech with the new liner arrived. He was about half hour late passed the two hour window. Started working. Was quite sloppy. He not only didn't install the liner properly, it is not leveled, there is silicone all over, bended the wall liner molding and fill it with so much silicone that looks like a cream puff, and the drain is at an angle and not centered.

    To make things even better, the sides of the tub have a give. Yes. You can feel the tub giving in to your weight when you stand by the borders and close to the drain. Talking about the drain, it flows slower than before, making your shower experience not so good when you have water to your ankles. The silicone seams are about an inch wide. The tech used his finger to even out the material and left huge seams instead of the usual quarter inch. This is cosmetic but still needs to be resolved. The tech was in such a hurry that he had me sign the paperwork before he was done. He used WD40 on the tiles; also, he broke one of the tiles as well, am talking the real tiles not the liner. And wd40 on the floor, I almost broke a leg by skidding on it. He was disrespectful to me, to you and to his work. He ruined my bathroom. He did a substandard installation.

    BF Long Island office, specifically a woman named **, rejects my calls, does not return calls or emails and has no respect for urgency or peoples schedule. Told her I needed someone before the 15th, but I guess because this installation is on the house because the first and second techs did not do their jobs the way they should, she feels I can wait for them to send someone for an assessment. Bear in mind that she has pictures of the liner already. I told her that the 15th is not good. She ignores my request. I really need a tech to come over Friday or Saturday, if nothing can be done, Monday, but with a specific time, not a window.

    This has to be resolved before something severe happens. I did mention this rep ** that BathFitter will be made responsible for any leaks resulting of the current installation. She really does not seem to care about the customer or the firm. In short, what I need from BF is to promptly: assess what is wrong with the angled drain, not leveled liner, liner that gives in when bearing weight on it, ruined molding and sloppy silicone application.

    The bathroom we had needed to be revamped. I was having trouble trying to keep the tub looking good and we had wallpaper that was peeling and there were some mold on the wallpaper. I live in South Carolina. It stays humid here all the time. I constantly have problems with mold and the grout. So early this year we decided to have Bath Fitter remove the tub for us and put in a walk-in, two-door shower.

    My husband was there on the day of installation. Excellent installation except we had chosen a particular wall pattern, a style of the wall, and they brought the wrong kind that day. So my husband called to ask me about it. I was really upset and I was like, "Oh God, we're going to be delayed because we're going to have to reorder this!" But they actually had someone drive right from the factory and the crew went and met them, and they went ahead and got it done that day. They made arrangements and some people went out of their way to make sure they got the right product.

    So far, I love it. It's a great product and it has made my life easier. I don't get stressed as much about cleaning my bathroom now when I have guests over. It's really easy to keep clean without having those grout lines. I find it real easy to just take a little extra shampoo and squirt the shampoo on the wall or the floor, and just scrub it down using a sponge. I almost never had to get an industrial or heavy duty cleaner in there if I just keep up with it.

    We had a really good experience with Bath Fitter and everything turned out just as what we expect or even better. What they worked on was not really a bathroom to begin with. It was supposed to be a bathroom when the house was built but it was being used as a closet, and had been for some time. It had no plumbing but it had a window and you don't have windows in closets. And we had another bath which is fully functional. But what we decided was we may need a walk-in shower. So I had them come out and measure to see if this closet would work. And they did.

    They had several choices and they would make it fit in the room I had. And now, I have a nice-sized shower and that's what I needed. They even extended the door that went in there to a size that would fit a walker if necessary. Besides the shower, they had to run the plumbing. I live in a house with a basement. And they were able to do that fairly easy since it was above the basement. They run all the appliance and everything to hook it up. And then I wanted to put a toilet and a small lavatory, pedestal, and they were able to that. It was a little questionable about the space but it worked out just fine so it's really nice. They were very professional. They did everything they said they would.

    When the salesman came to our house, we were told that a tub put over our old steel tub would fit like a glove because they had at least 2,000 plus molds. It did not fit because it moves all around the sides of the tub when you are standing in the shower. The manager told us it was normal for it to move??? No, the salesman did not say that, he said it would fit perfect. The material we were shown that the tub and surround would be like was not the same material that was used and it is very thin and low quality material. The shelves that they installed were even worse. You can take your fingers and push them and feel them move. We were very upset with the whole experience and we wanted the whole thing taken out of the house as it is a disgrace and lowers the value of it. They would not do anything about it. The salesman tried to bribe us by offering a lower price if we kept it. Please do not get this company to do anything!! There are better quality tubs and surrounds at well known home improvement centers for an eight of the cost.
