My parents had used Bath Fitter to get their own bathtub and recommended them to us. We purchased the tub from them in December 2014. The sales representative was really nice, very professional, really specifying so I could make sure we knew what we wanted and what we were looking at in prices, and he came over to see if we had done the walls as well. Financially we weren't able to do it at the time, but he was really nice about making sure we knew what all of our options were and then scheduling the appointment to have it done, and telling us exactly what it entails. He's very detailed and thorough, so we really felt like we understood everything that's going to happen. My husband was home when their installation team came. He said they came pretty much within the window that they gave us and were pretty quick about doing everything. They were good.

We chose Bath Fitter because they seemed reliable because they weren't Johnny-come-lately and were established. We purchased a tub and enclosure from them. The salesman had a lot of experience and did all the measuring. He had this special, little digital zing zing where the rays come and go. My son was here and told me this is the way professionals do things now. Another thing is that the installation team comprises of just one man and he did the whole thing himself. And he was able to do it. It was amazing. We've had it done in December of 2014, and I've had neighbors and friends come look at it.

I needed my shower looked at. Door was coming off. After many calls I was told they were coming today to fix. I even got a call yesterday to confirm. They called this morning and said they could not come and they would call back with new appointment. I never got a call back.

I love the new shower and bathtub enclosure. It is exactly what I had hoped for. The look is very high-end and classic. I won't need to worry that the materials I picked today will be out-of-date in a year or two. It is timeless. The workmanship was also professionally done and the installer courteous and considerate. I did not give it a 5 star rating because of problems I encountered getting the shower doors. Some of the issues I had with the door were understandable. I was told the doors were on a FedEx truck stuck in a snow storm. Then I was told the doors were lost and had to be located.
Finally, the doors were found. However they were delivered to someone else in another state. Bath Fitter chose to try and locate the missing doors, which took over 2 weeks, instead of issuing new replacement doors from the factory which could have eliminated the long down time. I would still recommend Bath Fitter to friends and family because the end result is a beautiful bath and shower that I enjoy very much.

The subway tile was good and I didn't notice any blemishes when they first put it up. Now it looks like some of the black tiles have streaks in them and some are plain. I don't know if that's because of the way they spread that particular glue on the back before they put it up and then it started chemically infusing with whatever material is used to make the thing, and this is causing that discoloration. And it's the same thing with the tub. It's got a good look but now I'm noticing a line showing up that wasn't there before. And I didn't do anything out of order -- I don't use harsh chemicals because they said don't use these, no chemicals forming bubbles and stuff like that.
They gave me a list of things to do so I've been following that. My wife said that was supposed to happen but I don't think that's what's supposed to happen because all subway tiles are just plain white tiles, with no lines going through. Some of the blacks on the tile were clear and some had streaks, so that's what I'm not pleased about, the coloration. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. The tile looks a whole lot better on the brochure. Bath Fitter's work was good, but the product isn't all that good. They didn't deliver for me.

This is the second bathroom that you have done for us. It required removal of an existing porcelain bath tub replacing it with a shower stall and safety bars; also replacing the toilet with a high seat one. As we knew from before, the job would be done right, timely and the bathroom left cleaned up. Absolutely, and I LOVE my new room.

Our bathroom was last remodeled in the early 70s and the surround and everything were falling apart. It was definitely time for a remodel. The Bath Fitter sales rep who came to our house was wonderful. We had a lot of questions and he answered them. He never rushed us. We asked him to repeat things and he did gladly. He was great. So we had a tub to shower conversion done. The man who came to do the work was just one gentleman who tried to get it done in one day. They had warned us it may take more than one day, he was here for two. But he showed up on time. My husband watched him probably through the whole process, and he was very nice about it. My husband asked questions, he answered them. He did a good job and left the place immaculate. So I've recommended them to some people who are thinking about remodeling.

I bought a full round tub from Bath Fitter last October. Honestly I was not impressed with the representative that handled our sale. We knew we wanted it but the main factor was going to be the price and he would not get there. We asked him like four different times for the price and he kept going back to his reference book, explaining the product. We tried to tell him, “Get to the price or we’re going to ask you to leave,” and he dragged it out for around four hours.
My husband was very impressed by their installation team though since their work got done quickly. It took a little longer than we were told it would but that's understandable. Our bathroom was quite awful but he did very well. He cleaned everything up, made it nice and pretty and explained everything to us and was very good. So most of that experience had been good apart from the salesman.

Reviewed March 27, 2015
I was not satisfied with Bath Fitter regarding the installation of my shower. There were many problems that arose during the installation of my shower that I would like to share.
First of all, do not believe all the information provided by the salesman. The Bath Fitter salesperson makes claims of installations in 1 day, when in my case it took 2 days. Also, the amount of time from order to installation was quoted as 4-6 weeks. It was actually closer to 10 weeks before they began to perform the work. The installation was not smooth. Like most people that are having this installation done, the days of installation coincide with a normal work week schedule of Monday thru Friday. I was not told ahead of time that I would need to take 2 days off of work. This caused problems at my job.
It was explained to me by the salesperson that there would be a plumber that would first come in and re-route the piping as necessary. There was no plumber. The installer was the plumber. He appeared to fumble around with the plumbing, taking more than a half of a day on this work before he could even start the Bath Fitter installation. In my opinion, he was not qualified to do this work, which began leaking after installation and needed to be repaired first thing the second day. If the plumber had come in first, gotten this work done quickly, the Bath Fitter installation could have occurred sooner. It was also explained to me by the salesperson that there would be two installers to perform the work. There was only one installer, thus causing the installation to take longer.
The shower sprayer that we ordered has a separate attachment that can be used to wash down the inside of the shower. In order to switch from the shower head to the separate wand, you need a diverter to change the water flow from one to the other. The installer said that we didnt pay for a diverter so we would need to buy our own. After we raised a big enough stink, Bath Fitter's representative said that they would provide us with the diverter. I left several messages and sent several emails, and did not get a diverter. I told them to mail it, drop it off at the house, etc. Finally someone delivered the diverter. The shower sprayer installed was brushed chrome. The diverter provided was stainless steel. I ended up purchasing for $20 my own diverter and installing it myself.
The removal of the existing shower doors did not go very smooth. One of the panels was leaned up outside my house along the driveway after it was removed. The panel slipped and broke into a thousand pieces all over the front part of my house. The glass was swept into the marble decorative rocks in front of the house. At my request, the installer came back out the next week to clean up, but still did not do a very good job. Still there are large chunks of glass mixed within the marble decorative rocks.
It was also explained to me that upon completion of the Bath Fitter installation, a shower door installer would be at the house to take the measurements of the doors and glass panels for the shower enclosure. Of course this was not scheduled, and I had to make my own arrangements with the shower door installer. So more time was missed from work since he could not accommodate my schedule after normal work hours. After the shower door installer took his measurements, I found out about a week later that there was an error in the original measurements taken by the salesman. We were not charged enough originally because an additional glass panel needed to be ordered. This would cost an additional $450. The salesman called and repeatedly said that he took full responsibility for this error, but told me that we still had to pay the additional $450. So I'm not sure how he took responsibility.
We ended up hiring another company to complete the installation. Their quote was less than our original estimate, before the additional $450 was requested. To date we are still awaiting installation of the panels, and we are currently at over 1 months without the use of our master bathroom shower. This is the single worst installation that I have ever encountered. I feel that the customer service provided by Bath Fitter was extremely poor. They did not act like a professional company when it came to providing me with a service. I would not recommend Bath Fitter to any of my friends or family members.

I decided to get Bath Fitter's services because of the way they could guarantee everything they did. And when they gave me a price, it was fair so I took advantage of it. The sales guy did a great job. He represented himself and explained everything they were going to do and got it done right. The installation team was one guy and he worked his butt off to get it done in two days. I have two problems though. One, the water does not always shut off when you turn the handle down which I assume is just the washer in the handle, but I don't want to take it apart. And the other one is the L bar that we use for support to pull us out of the tub... it has a mark in it where there's no paint on it. Still, I'd recommend them.

The salesman visited on Jan 28. We had a lengthy conversation about what and why I wanted what I did. We were getting rid of a small shower stall and garden tub and replacing the garden tub with a large shower stall. Based on our conversation, I was sure he understood what we wanted. When the installers showed up, they had instructions to only replace the small shower stall with a new one the same size. They had no instructions for the tub. The manager was helpful and promised me that they would get me the correct order for the same money. The same salesman came back and took new measurements. He didn't say anything about why he screwed up the first time.
A week later, the installers came back, however, due to inspector arriving too early and installer getting pulled off job, they couldn't finish that day. They came back a week later and finished. The installers were all VERY competent and helpful. Another problem I had involves how long it takes to get the doors. After the salesperson had finished our order, he said that there would be a 5 day wait for our shower doors. It ended up taking 2 weeks. We were lucky that we had another shower to use.
I feel that he should have been upfront about the timing and process before I signed the order. The doors were finally installed on March 24. And we still couldn't use the shower for another 2 days. The door installation was quick and efficient. However I spent $150 on a corner shelf unit that is almost useless. Don't bother with it. Only 2 shampoo bottles fit on a shelf. One shelf is for soap, which we don't use and is too short for shampoo. The bottom shelf is slanted down. I don't even know what it would be for. It's useless. We will have to buy another shelf for the shower. I would not use Bath Fitter again. I never got any sort of explanation for how the order got screwed up to begin with. And the "one day installation" motto is a joke.
Hi Mary- Thank you for providing feedback on your experience. We're sorry that the timeline for the installation was delayed and that it was not completed sooner. To answer your question about the slanted shelf, it acts as "foot block" for when a person is washing or shaving their legs. While we always strive to complete installations as quickly as possible, it is important that we achieve the quality that customers expect. Unfortunately, delays in shipments can arise that prevent one-day install. Thanks again for reaching out. If you have any other questions or concerns, please email customercare@bathfitter.com.

We found them and we called them to do the job. And they did and it's just as lovely now as the first one they did for me, and the first one is still perfect.
Their sales representatives were very polite, nice, and pleasant gentlemen. For the recent work they did for us, the installers were very quiet, nice, and professional. We went to Bath Fitter on a friend's recommendation based on her experience when she had her bathroom done by them. Needless to say our experience has been anything but pleasant, which did not start out that way. We first visited the showroom in our city and was met with a very nice gentleman who showed us the products and options. We then scheduled an appointment for the Sales Rep to come to our home. The Sales Rep was pleasant and walked us through the process. We made the purchase and a few days later the scheduled installation date was made. Because of my sensitivity to adhesives and I am a home based employee, we scheduled the installation for a Friday when I could take time from work and be away from home.
Unfortunately bad weather did not allow our installer to arrive on the scheduled date and it was then rescheduled for the following Monday. Our installer arrived late stating there was an accident. I left the home and my husband was there for the entire day. I understand the Plumber showed up around noon and left around 2pm. The installer did not finish until 8:30pm. I was not able to give a full inspection due to the smell, but with a mask on, I was able to look in the bathroom to see the transformation. As the installer was getting ready to leave I asked where is the tub spigot. The installer said I would have to fill the tub with the shower head and left quickly.
Due to the overwhelming smell, which gave both myself and my son a headache, we had to make last minute arrangements with friends to spend the night. Upon further inspection the next morning, we discovered items that were not caulked, space between the front tub liner and the wall where water could get into, the corners curved and not squared, damage to our ceiling, no tub spigot as previously discovered the night before, etc. Spoke with the store operator that morning and was asked to send pictures via email, which I did. The resolution was for the plumber to come back out to put the tub spigot in, the walls would be redone and a ceiling tile would be added to cover the damage.
I felt that monetary compensation was in order, but both the store operator and the Sales Rep stated that was not an option. I reached out to Customer Service in Tennessee for assistance and provided the email along with pictures that was sent to our local store. The local store operator called to say a small amount would be provided to us to be used towards a hotel room on the night the re-installation was scheduled for and for dinner. Re-install was scheduled which I requested a Saturday so I did not have to take additional time from work. However, due to bad weather the product did not arrive, so rescheduled for a week later.
That morning, I receive a call from the installer stating he was sick. I spoke with our Sales Rep to find out what our options were and our Sales Rep was rude. I was finally able to speak with someone at a different store when they opened, which happened to be the gentleman I had been working with from our store and he said the original installer was coming back and he was the one sick, the other installer was just saying he was sick. I said, "you never prepared us for the original installer to come back and in fact we were not comfortable with him coming back." Back and forth over the next several days to make alternate arrangements, with again empty promises being fulfilled. Also, the Customer Service representative in Tennessee was no longer returning my calls or emails. Finally, an installer came this past Thursday.
Today, the tool bar was at the bottom of the tub as he did not use caulking around it. The tub is too short in one corner, so the attempt to fix this was the installer used a lot of caulking, but you can still feel the edge of the tub and eventually the caulking will give way. The front left of the tub rolls inward and does not meet the wall properly, again lots of caulking that still shows areas where water can seep in. On the plus side, we now have the tub spigot. Today, I have sent another email to our local office and the Customer Service Rep in Tennessee along with pictures. In all this time, no one from Management has come to our home to review and discuss our experience. We are beyond frustrated!!!

The buying process is the fun part and I think it was enjoyable for my family. We purchased a new tub and tile and it was finished by one man who worked tirelessly throughout the day. So I don't want to argue anything about the product. I had a problem with the installer tightening the drain system so much that we can't get it open to clean. What we discovered is that the service is only as good as the number of installers in the area. In the halton region, there are only a few and head office had no suggestions for us. We can pay for him to unscrew it or we can risk stripping the screw with a large flat head (which we bought just for this). Hopefully this gets fixed soon because it’s our main bathroom and we've had to figure out who will shower in the morning vs night, so that we don't overflow the tub, for 8 days now.

I was trying to rent the apartment and needed to remodel. I didn't know of any other company that does that so I went with Bath Fitter. It was my first remodeling experience and it was very good but I think the product is a little pricey. Another thing the bathtub is very fragile. I didn't really expect it to be as fragile as it is. You have to be very careful with what you put and what you do in it especially when you have tenants. Even though I went over with them on what to do and what not to do, they still ended up putting Drano in the bathtub.

We had friends that had recently used Bath Fitter and were satisfied with the work. We had issues with some leaks and we just wanted to clear up that area, and not really redo the whole bathroom. So that's why we gravitated towards Bath Fitter. We purchased the shower and the tub right before the Christmas holidays. The sales rep came one night to give us a demonstration. He was great and had all his information. He answered all the questions, demonstrated what the material was, how it was used, how it was applied, and what we expected. So there were no surprises come the day of the install.
When the installation team came in, they knew what they had to do. They went up, did their work, had us there once it was done, made sure we were satisfied, cleaned up, and were off. Everything went exactly as they indicated and we had no issues. I'm sure that people may have had some other experiences, but our experience was very good.

I called Bath Fitter and inquired. They came around, gave me an estimate, and let me know more about them. They’re very nice people. The job was done well. I called them back to get some work done in my apartment, and that was very good as well though I had a few minor things go wrong. They had to take the tub out again because it was cracked around the drain the second day that I saw it. I called them right away and they came over and made an appointment to fix the problem.
One suggestion I have is every now and then, the men they send should be given a little brush up course on the final look of the product. The men who came in were good but I had to call them back for minor adjustments of the way it looked, the finishing touch, and I said, “You know men, women are more particular.” These were minor things and were taken care of within a half hour where they had to come back twice. Other than that, they’re very accommodating and no matter when I called, they’re very nice and always would set up an appointment and come over. No problems. I recommend them to all of my friends. I’m very, very satisfied with the company. They stand by their product.

We purchased the bathtub 4 months ago. Their sales representative was very nice and we had no problems with him. The gentleman that put it in was also very nice. He went in early in the morning, worked through the day, and got it finished. Then some other man came out and approved what he had done. We're very pleased with it. The only problem I had with the bathtub is that I did find it a little slippery when you're showering or washing your hair. But we have the grab bars, so I hold on closely to these. Bath Fitter needs to know that when somebody is badly disabled, they need to work with them, not put in a product that would work for somebody who only had a slight arthritis where they can’t stand that long and they had to sit every once in a while (it just was not doable for me). That way they may be able to better help the next person that comes along who has my same challenges. I wanted to put in a wheelchair shower in my bathroom, just like what I had where I previously lived. The sales rep at Bath Fitter was really good, very nice and helpful, but what they said they were going to do and what they actually did are not exactly the same thing.
I couldn't use the finished product. I have to get a commode type chair and have someone put that in - still do every time I use it - and it was not at all what I had before (even though I showed them pictures of what I had in my previous home). What I had before had the controls right beside me so they’re handheld. And they didn’t have a shower at the other end for somebody who was able bodied with the same side except I could control everything from the bench. They said they could come back and remodel it but it would cost me couple of thousand dollars more, which I do not have. I'm angry over this experience.

Other contractors we have talked to a couple of years before said that it was going to take a week to do our bathroom because the house was a little bit older and it was an older bathroom, and it would take probably two weeks that we would be without a bathroom. A guy from Bath Fitter told me he could do it in two days’ time, and having it done so quickly helped us decide to go with them.
We had an old ceramic bathtub that we had them take out, and put in a shower with window seats, and a handheld shower. They put in a vanity which we purchased from Lowe's, and it wasn't their fault but there was a leak, so they came back and worked until it was fixed. They put the towel bar a little bit too high, and I wanted it down, so I asked them, if they were in our area, to swing by and move it down. I had surgery and told them to hold off, and then the week after that they were here fixing it for us.

He's a nice guy and he knew what he was talking about, he's a straight shooter. Dealing with him was a good experience, and he sold me the product. I had two other companies come and look, and because of him I went with Bath Fitter.
The installers were good for the most part. I had Bath Fitter put a cover over my tub and the tub walls. The installers were about four hours late and pushed the schedule towards the end of the day. Since I have my own company and other obligations, I had to leave them there. They were neat and cleaned up but when I came back later on that night there was a big problem with the tub part of the installation. It's still an on-going issue and I think I'm having to replace the tub.
I've spoken with them already about this but there was a little miscommunication, a couple missed appointments, and then they had a supervisor come and meet me to look at it. The supervisor told me how terrible it looked and they want to make it right. But the problem is I'm trying to move into the house, and the bathroom was tiled since then because of their lack of response in the beginning. The experience went a little downhill after the install. I'm a contractor myself. I'm an electrician and I work multimillion-dollar homes every day, and the finished product was below standard. They offered me a couple hundred dollars to forget about it, but that's not going to happen. To be honest, for the amount of money, I wasn't happy with the product and it would be tough for me to recommend them to anybody.

We had Bath Fitter come to do all shower stalls in three bathrooms in our house. We had a tub done with the walls as well. I have a two-family home, so on the other side we had the same thing done. In total, there were four bathrooms that haven't been touched since 1970 remodeled by Bath Fitter.
The last time they were here, we had some problems with the newly installed tub. Another guy came to fix it. He was nice, kind, friendly, and incredible -- got the job done well. The initial issue was that we had a hairline crack on the bottom of our tub. The woman on the phone was a nightmare! She asked if we dropped anything on it, of which I answered no. It was just a tiny crack but I was afraid that water might leak underneath. While waiting for a response, I put a duct tape over the crack - of which you can feel when you are cleaning the tub with your hands. They took a month to get back to us before making a decision if it was our fault or not - this made me upset.
Then they said that we must have caused the problem. I insisted that someone needs to come before I rip out every single one of them. We specified that the person who installed the problematic tub not to be sent back. That person was nice, kind and fast. It's just that he seemed a little confused and not sure on how to get the work done. The second guy who came, on the other hand, took the tub out and redid it. Had a scratch on the panel which was visible so he talked to his boss and he told me that they will provide column that would cover the damage. I agreed and he followed this through. Now guest bathroom. I had ordered removal of bath tub and installed tray. After it got shipped to him he called and schedule - that was done too. After the curing time I used that bathroom and found out that tray is not inclined correctly and water puddles in the center area and don't drain as it should.
Then third visit was for shower door in master bath. I informed the installer and he measured and confirmed the issue. Now called the office and I have been promised removal and reinstall of the same by next week. Also for the shower door that I ordered during initial consultation was with PIVOT door, thick frosted frameless glass door. But I got installed with cheap gauge clear glass and after calling the office couple of time my sales rep called me saying something about its getting looked into.
I am not sure of what is going on? Am I gonna get what I have paid for? Also during initial consultation sales rep looked at my existing door and told me that our door with not shake when you open up. Its thick frameless design - instead I got installed with same type of door that I had, just taller with clear thin glass that rattles same like my old door. I am happy with everything but the shower door and poorly molded shower tray which needs to be replaced.

I needed to have something done with my bathroom and ran into Bath Fitter at State Fair in Iowa where they had a display. I talked to them and liked what I saw. I had a representative come out to my house, and we talked some more. After that I went ahead with it. They came out and did a couple of different things. I was very impressed. They installed it in one day. I’m happy with the way it turned out and I have recommended it to a friend of mine right here in the same city I live in and she’s having it done also. I was very pleased with the whole job. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves.

I’m getting older, and I've had a Jacuzzi tub that I could no longer get in and out of, so I needed to make a change. Because Bath Fitter are the ones who’s known for putting in new bathrooms, I figured I’d go with the name and the experience, and I am glad that I did. The salesperson was very pleasant and knowledgeable, any questions I asked, he had the answers to them. He knew exactly what he was doing and what he was talking about. The person who installed the bath tub with shower that I bought was a gentleman. He was very neat, very clean. Nice guy, respectful and friendly.
I have no serious complaints; for me the biggest thing was just the wait. It felt like a long time from the moment that I saw the representative, then put down my down payment. I had to call to see when they would install and if they could push it up a little bit, it was a couple of weeks. Other than that, it was a great and smooth experience. I am owner of a very small, seasonal cottage near Erie, Pa. and have been going there for weekends and vacation time all my life (62 years). In my time there, the cottage has never had a shower or bath facility, just a sink and commode, very primitive and rustic. It has always been my dream to have a shower there, somehow, for us and for guests, though not sure how or where that install should go. Well last season, the folks at Bath Fitter of Erie made that dream happen! Their sales rep, Ryan **, came out on Sat. of a holiday weekend, mind you, to review the site and explore options.
After giving these folks the "green light" for the project, the owner, Tim, who actually worked on-site, and his assistant, Tyler, completed this acrylic stall shower installation with fantastic results, especially considering the unique demands of the site. Reeves Plumbing of Erie (Ray **) was part of the project as well, doing the drain work for the shower and installation of a new, larger electric water heater in the loft above the bathroom, much needed to replace the old 20 gal. unit.
Reeves had to drill through the 4" thick concrete slab floor to install the shower drain and their worker had to crawl, on his back, beneath the cottage to do the hook-up. Amazing. All those involved were most pleasant to deal with through the entire process, including Holly at the office. Very professional, easy to contact, quick to respond, I highly recommend these folks to anyone needing their services. Fantastic results. We are very pleased.

Another was for safety reasons since I was dealing with cancer treatments at the time, and I didn't want to mess with a torn up bathroom for a week or more.
The sales representative came to the house and went over everything in detail and then the next time I saw and talked to him was just to set up the appointment. I really appreciate the inclusiveness of the remodel. It wasn't just someone coming in and throwing in another insert. They took away my old insert and I didn't have to worry about it. We were looking for companies when we ran into the booth of Bath Fitter at the state fair. We got interested because of the quality and what we saw. We talked to them first and then we saw the one-piece tub liner and some of the other things offered there. We know their reputation so we decided to go with them.
The sales representatives came over and went through explaining the whole thing from quality of the product to how they did the job with one person. They're in and out in a relatively short amount of time and was pretty thorough about the whole process. It wasn't a too high-pressured sale. The first thing we wanted to do was to change the tub over to a one-piece shower type thing and get rid of the tub. And in the end, that turned out to be fairly expensive, out of our price range, so we decided to think about it. When we contacted them back we asked them to provide a quote around just redoing our existing area and see if it was more in our price range. Fortunately it was. They adjusted the quote a little bit to fit our budget more. The installer who came was good. He was really careful to put things down and not stain the carpet or ding the doors. I was really happy and satisfied. Everything was good with the experience.

We ordered our tub and wall package in what we were advised as Pearl. The day came today that the installer was here and lo and behold, when I came home from work, the installer was putting up Pearl. I immediately asked them to stop as that is not what we ordered. Well look at your contract, that's what it says. Unfortunately, I do not work for Bath Fitter and only know what the salesman showed us and what we wanted. It was what we assumed was Pearl. The Pearl is actually called Ivory M which we would never had known. The communication between the company, the salesman and us went awry after that.
The installer was very professional. He understood our concern. I must however state the the manager at the Bath Fitter was rude and assumed we knew the difference between the two. He stayed even if it was a bad weather day. When he left, and I had this beautiful tub and bath walls. The only thing that was maybe slightly wrong was my tub comes around and where the shower part is that wall comes out, and then there's just a five-inch piece of wall and then it goes back but the tiles on that fell off. The installation guy's personality was 'come in and do the job, and not talk and answer questions.' My bathroom was upstairs. I do have a knee problem, so I was not running up there and asking him a bunch of questions. But when I did have a question, he did answer. We had Bath Fitters do a bath/shower conversion in our home and the problem is when you stand in the shower and re-position yourself, the floor gives and you feel unsteady. This when you’re showering and have your eyes closed makes you dizzy. We have almost fallen 2 times because of this. The rep came out and of course he could not feel any give in the floor. I feel it and my husband feels it. It's not in our minds. He said he would check into it and never called back. I called them and he called me again. He said he would have his boss come out and look into it. I haven't heard anything from them. Again. I'm so disappointed with this purchase.
I regret ever dealing with Bath Fitters. Not happy with product at all and not happy with customer service. But most of all so sad that we paid $7500.00 for this thin piece of material and shower liner for the floor. Disgusting. I could have had a whole new bathroom done for that price. My problems came with the individual on the second time - the one who sold us the project.
I told him of the timeline that I was under, and he assured me that they would be met. But after I waited to hear from them, I had to call back and talk to the individual who did the scheduling of the measurements and so forth, and my stuff was not forwarded to them. By the time I got to them, two weeks had passed before we got anybody out here. I had people waiting on the door until they're finished. So it put my whole project back two weeks. The second sales representative wanted a sale, and he got the sale, but failed to follow through. But as far as the product goes, I don't have a problem with it, and the workmanship that they did was all good. I just wouldn't deal with that salesman again.

We spent $15000 for 2 baths to be remodeled. The installation was great but when chrome starting peeling within 2 months of installation on the shower enclosure and the glass doors came off the rollers, the company was contacted and arrangements were made to repair the issues. We waited 2 weeks for the parts and the scheduling. I took a day off and the installer never showed. After multiple calls to the office we were rewarded with yet another date for repair. This time the installer didn't show and we were again left in the lurch. The excuse was a "fender bender". We were promised at that point another reschedule for 3 days later and again no call, no show. Again we call the office and were unable to speak to anyone in charge as they are all at corporate meetings this week.
It is not only frustrating but unethical and bad business. I would not recommend this privately owned franchise for any reason. They give poor customer service and appear to be only interested in the sale despite all the assurances that their materials are guaranteed for as long as you own the home. The latest re-schedule will make this a month long process with yet another day off from work.

We had Bath Fitter do our bathroom downstairs prior to this latest remodel. Our bathrooms have lots of tiles and we wanted to have them re-grouted. Our most recent remodel was done last November. Bill, the sales representative, was really nice. He came down for a second time and talked with us, and told us all that we needed to know. He was very helpful. I would recommend them.

There’s a gentleman that I met at the flea market-type thing in a barn sale. He had a booth, and I saw and took the information of Bath Fitter from there. So when my tub cracked and was not repairable, I decided to go with Bath Fitter. They were all very professional. They answered my questions very thoroughly. The people that installed it made sure we understand. They knew their stuff.

We had two toilets put in a while back and the people that installed the toilets did some damage to the tub. We thought it was time to maybe get it sprayed. So we got a hold of Bath Fitter, got a new bath liner and all new hardware and shower. We purchased it on September 1 and they didn't install it until the middle of October, so I had to wait two months and a half. The salesman did pretty well, though he was kind of busy. We spent most of the time with the person who did the measuring and the actual person who did the installation. They did an excellent job. I had a good experience with Bath Fitter.

We decided to purchase the shower around October. The sales representative was very pleasant and answered all the questions. I couldn't believe how one guy installed it, but he did. We had an old cast iron tub that he had to break up. He was so clean it was ridiculous. It took two days to put it in, and when he left on the first night, he had all his tools lined up so beautifully. The whole experience was very good.

I remodeled my bathroom because I needed something safer for me. I've heard of Bath Fitter before and liked the products during a fair back in the summer. We looked at them and then they showed us what they have available. We chose and waited on the products to be designed for our bathroom. They came out in October and installed everything for us. The sales representative was nice and knowledgeable with what he does. He showed us everything and recommended some things. I told him what I needed and he made the recommendation, and we decided what we were gonna do and everything. He helped with all the paperwork. I'm satisfied with everything.

I decided to remodel my bathroom since it's very old and outdated - it hasn't been updated in 20 years. I purchased a tub and surround. So far, I'm very satisfied. I had a very good experience with Bath Fitter. From the salesman to the people who came to measure and do the installation, they were all wonderful, personable, easy to talk to, and made sure that I understood everything that was going to happen and then did happen. The quality of work, the timeliness of the installation, the installer himself who showed me how to clean and maintain everything and who to call if I had any issues were all good. I have recommended Bath Fitter to my friends.

I’ve been remodeling the house gradually since I’ve owned it, and the bathroom was the next room. I chose Bath Fitter because of the guarantee. Seemed like a good quality product and the one day installation was important to me. I purchased a tub and a shower. The two sales representatives I dealt with were both very cordial and personable people. When I found out what the price was during the visit with the first salesperson, and I had to think about it, he was visibly disappointed and it temporarily changed his whole attitude towards the sales process to a negative way. He quickly overcame that but I didn’t feel that was the way to approach it when you throw a number in the thousands at somebody and they have no idea what it’s going to cost.
The second fellow that was here to salvage the job was fine. Very well organized in the follow-up and everything’s great. The fellows had to make three trips to try to get the right line, or it wasn’t identified correctly in the beginning. That’s pretty minor and wasn’t a big deal, just a little bit more of my time. I enjoy it, it looks good and installation was done as they said it would.

I knew my bathroom needed a new look and I plan on selling the house in a couple years anyway so it was time to remodel my bathroom. I chose Bath Fitter because a couple of my co-workers had used Bath Fitter six years ago, and I went to their house and it still looked beautiful. So I said, "Well, maybe this is something I need to do." I got the shower install and bath and everything worked out fine. The sales rep was very nice and explained everything in detail. Even when I told him that I was just gonna think about it, he didn't get upset or mad. The people who did the installation were really nice, too. They answered any questions that I had and explained everything that they were gonna do, and how long they would be there. It was just really smooth the whole time that they were here. Bath Fitter was just great. I would use them again if I ever I needed them.

We had a wonderful experience with Bath Fitter. We had a very small bathroom and it had some issues that we had to work out. The person that put it in for us did a really good job, went over and above trying to work out those issues. Also, we had to change our mind several times from what we started with. We changed our mind three times because we picked out the wrong things to work, and we were just overwhelmed. But every time, they worked right along with us and allowed us to change. And we are really happy with the finished product. It was a good experience. The company was very business-like and their main focus was to make sure we were happy.

My bathroom was disgusting, so I had to get it done. I went with Bath Fitter because I found out that they would take care of any problems. Like if there was any plumbing problems, they would have taken care of that before they put the unit on top of it. And that if there's any problems for a lifetime they would take care of it. I didn't want to just get somebody to cover up my tile or cover up the tub. In that case, you could have just had somebody spray it to make it look nice or go to Home Depot and get stuff. You wanted somebody to make sure that if there was any problems, that somebody would be able to have the knowledge to take care of it then instead of just patching it. I got from them a shower stall, a complete tub and the walls and all that, so it's two separate bathrooms.
Everybody that we talked to from Bath Fitter was great, especially the guy that put in the unit. He was great. We did have a little mishap as far as communication with the person who does the scheduling, because she had scheduled two people and only one person showed up. Which is fine except for we just wanted to make sure who was gonna be in the house. But that was rectified and other than that, everybody was very courteous, answered every question that we had, from the person who came to the house to do the initial paperwork and do the measurements, all the way to the installer. We've told friends about Bath Fitter.

I've already recommended Bath Fitter to a couple that needed it. Her husband has Parkinson's disease and their daughters wanted them to go into an assisted living cause it's hard for them to take showers. I called Bath Fitter to get an estimate. I've already gotten two other estimates to redo my bathrooms and they were in the $40,000 range. Bath Fitter’s came in under 10 and I have two functioning bathrooms, so it was a no-brainer that I went with them. So far, I'm very, very happy with everything. It was probably a quarter of the price that would have caused me to redo my whole bathroom. And my other appliances, and the actual tiles on the walls were all in good shape. It’s just that the bathtubs and the showers had seen better days because we've had them for years and years. So remodeling was the perfect option for us because our actual bathrooms were good and just needed to replace the showers and the tubs in both bathrooms.
The gentleman who came in was very efficient, very nice, did a very good job. He was awesome. He was punctual. He stayed and he worked. On the first day he worked until 7pm. He was very friendly. I expected the house to be somewhat of a mess but everything he did, he cleaned up. There was never a mess even in the bathroom while he was working on it. If he did anything, he took it outside and got rid of it. He was great and very personable too.

Bath Fitter installed 2 shower stalls at my private residence. Nine months later during a bathroom remodel by myself a water leak was discovered resulting from an installer error. After an entire month of dealing with a Branch Manager, an outside contractor has successfully dried the flooring that was soaked as a result of the installer error. My complaint is that the area Branch Manager failed to return calls as promised by him on several occasions. Without my insistence to follow thru with the repairs we would still be months away from resolving the issue. And at this time we are at least 2 weeks away from replacing the floor that had to be torn up in order to dry the subfloor. HELP! I only asked the Branch Manager to keep me in the loop so I could follow the progress. Draw your own conclusions from my experience.

Our remodeling project after paying deposit of 50% the total cost instead of starting Monday December 15, 2014 with delays started for plumbing work on Thursday December 18, 2014 and the following day Friday December 19 for acrylic wall installation. On Friday at 9:00 O'clock AM the two technicians started the acrylic wall installation. At 4:00 O'clock one of technicians left and the other tried to finish the job up to 7:30 PM. They scratched the bath shower ceiling recently painted by manipulating the acrylic wall. The one who was left alone was exhausted and we noticed one of his eyes was red because of inhaling and fatigue for rushing to finish at late the work. We were waiting all day for finishing the shower and since was late and we had to prepare for Christmas day, we did not bother him with finishing his work.
After a long day, trusting Bath Fitter, we signed and we paid the balance without seeing all the details. The next day we noticed many scratches on the bath ceiling, a hole, which was filled by cocking next to security bar, and difference of cocking color. We demand from Bath Fitter Deerfield for prompt correction of the errors since we could not reach the office after working hours late Friday.

I had a walk in tub removed. The installer was careful when he removed it because I was giving the tub to someone else. I was very satisfied with the installation & so far I am happy with my new stall shower. My reason for writing this is only for a suggestion. I had a seat installed in the shower but when I sit on the seat, it is very slippery. A person could easily slip off it. I called the office I was dealing with & she said she would forward the suggestion. She suggested I put a wash cloth on the seat, which does work. I just feel you should redesign the seat so it's not so slick when wet. I also found the floor of the shower also to be slippery when wet. I would appreciate it if you would look into this matter. Thank you.
