We had leaks behind the wall and the sink drain had broken so we decided to remodel our bathroom. We checked references. After we had the first salesman from Bath Fitter come, we had a list of people here in our hometown. We talked to those people that we know and they had a good experience so we went with them. The sales rep was personable and sounded like a former contractor himself and told us what to expect. He did an overall fine job. The installation team was friendly, took any request that I had and explained what they were going to do. I had some concerns because I tore out the whole bathroom and asked them questions on where I needed to be with what I was doing. They were knowledgeable and answered those questions for me.

Our experience with Bath Fitter was very good. This was our second time using them. Both times we were very pleased with our new bath. The service and technician teams were great to work with. They were very helpful with our questions and concerns and kept us informed of everything that was taking place. We are very pleased and would recommend Bath Fitter to anyone interested in redoing their bath.

My son told me about Bath Fitter because our tub looked ugly, so it was time to get a new one. We had paint on it and some of it applies but some others didn't work. Mark, their sales representative, did lots of illustrations and showed me and my wife lots of stuff. He was great and accurate. He let my wife choose the type of tub she wanted.

My father is 85 and the bathroom that he had in the back had the tiles falling off and we wanted to make it safer for him and put a seat and grips in there, and make the shower come down so he didn't have to stand in the shower. Then, someone had recommended Bath Fitter to us. The first time they were supposed to come and install it, they couldn't because they had to come back and measure something after the initial visit. It took more than one visit for them to do it. Something wasn't tightened and the shower was leaking but they were good about coming back and taking care of the issue. We had a couple of bumps, but they were willing to try to work it out, and they resolved these.

I had a vinyl fiberglass tub before and it was cracking in the middle so it was time to get a new one. I got a new tub and the wall and new fixtures from Bath Fitter. They came back even for extra trim on the side where my bathroom wallpaper was all funny looking. They got some more white stuff and just closed it on there, so it looks finished. I was able to talk to their guys and ask them questions while they were working. I was very pleased with them.

I had purchased an old home and didn't feel comfortable sitting in the tub, so I wanted somebody professional to do the service and happened to come across Bath Fitter. I went to Home Depot to get an estimate, but I wanted to get more than one estimate and the gentleman from Bath Fitter that came out to the house was so nice. He worked with me, explained everything to me, gave me other options and didn't pressure me. I felt like he was an honest, good man. I've been very happy with the tub and sitting on it is my favorite. Bath Fitter worked with me and fitted the deal that I needed in order to purchase, and I'm gonna call them again because I'm gonna get my mother's bathroom redone.

I needed to remodel my bathroom so I contacted one company but I did not like their salesman so I went with Bath Fitter. I butted heads with their salesman a little bit because I have a unique bathroom with tiles around the outside edge of the shower and three rows of tile on the inside of the shower and he wanted to cover all that up, and I said no. He said there was no other way they could do it so I was about ready to go back to the other company. When the guy came out to measure it, I explained the same thing to him. The second guy that was here to measure said, "We don't have to cover up the tile." I wanted them to replace what was already there and didn't want it covered from top to bottom because I’ve seen somebody else's and I didn't like it. I told them that if they couldn't do it, I'd get somebody else. But they were able to accommodate me in the end.

The guy was experienced and we were okay with him. We made the purchase four months ago for a stall-type shower and a regular bathroom shower tub. The installer who came was very good too. He did the two bathrooms in less than four days. Also, he took care of the little bit of molding at the bottom that was coming away from each other at the corner when I pointed it out. So far, we're a 100% satisfied with the remodel and the lifetime warranty is great.

I'm very pleased with Bath Fitter. I had the master bath done with them a couple of years ago, then I decided to do the second bath. I had them put in a new tub. Sales rep came to the house, walked me through what would be needed and all the price work, and gave me the initial paperwork. He left and then the installer came in. We had a simple run through and I pretty much knew what to expect. I asked him a favor to triple check the measurements and cut once to minimize the caulking that gets along the edge. The guy that came on the first installation measured it and when he went to put it in it was unfortunate that he had to have that kind of a gap there. But it's not diminishing from the value of the tub, so I'm not that overly concerned. This guy that did the second installation did so much better than the first one and I'm more satisfied with the result. He did an excellent job. There's hardly a blink of a gap in what he did. I would recommend them.

We had Bath Fitter install our tub a few years back. The tub had remained beautiful since then. However, recently, after bathing, I left "body wash" bubbles sitting in the tub never thinking anything would happen. Now the tub looks dirty (looks like an ingredient in the body wash ate through the finish). The warranty talks about being careful about cleaners (we have a list that I have always adhered to), nothing about body wash... So, I NEVER thought body wash bubbles would discolor the tub. We had someone come out to try and get the color back but to no avail. They will not honor their limited lifetime warranty to change out the tub.

I had a friend that used Bath Fitter and I was trying to get my house up to what I would want it to be when I sell it so I decided to remodel the bathroom. Woody was the sales representative and he was very personable with me and loves my dog. There were some mistakes on the forms a couple of times and he called to tell. The way that Bath Fitter has handled everything was one of the reasons why I went and agreed to getting the remodel done because I felt they were taking care of me and weren’t trying to take advantage of me especially because my fiancé wasn’t there. They weren’t trying to be salespeople at all and were doing a very good job of making sure that my needs were accommodated.
I would recommend Bath Fitter. We can’t say enough great things about them. I ended up having to do a tub and shower. My house is so old that they had to take my whole tub out and give me a new tub. They were very helpful and told us how to make sure that we’re cleaning and keeping up with all the maintenance. The installation team was great. There was one guy who was there for two days and he was very good at what he was doing. My wife did some research and she thought that going with Bath Fitter would be the best and most economical way to do our bathroom remodel. Being the pessimist in the family, I didn’t think my wife should do the remodel with them. But the product and the job they did amazed me. They relined the tub and put a new shower enclosure up around it in one bathroom. I'm an old mechanical craftsman-like guy, so I was amazed that the guy who did the installation got it done so quick and I couldn’t have stayed there as long as he did. Other than their professionalism and courtesy, it was a pleasure to see people who take pride in their work and had it all day. It was professional, quality work at a decent price, and we have recommended them to people.

I have a corner shower unit with the caulking kit coming out and I had to redo it every year. Bath Fitter did a nice job of sealing everything up, caulking it in and eliminating two of the seams. I decided it was time to check what it would cost to get a walk-in shower because my wife and I cannot raise our legs very well over the conventional height of the bathtub edge and neither of us can sit down to take a bath. I also have knee and back pain, and just getting into the shower was such a hassle. I dreaded it as I would cry out in pain when I get in and out. So we did the walk-in bath where we get about a three-inch lift with the one-piece surround. We've had it for four months and now, I can step right in, sit right down, take a good hot shower, and feel like I'm clean when I'm coming out. We love the walk-in bath. I even look forward to taking a shower more than once a month, because that's how it was for me before.
In addition, Bath Fitter's sales representatives and the installation team were very professional and knew what they were doing. The salesman knew exactly what he was selling us, the details, and took accurate measurements. They cut the old tub in half with a steel saw and took it out in two pieces. Then they just put the new tub in. Everything fit and went smooth the first time. If anybody is looking for that product I would do an endorsement even on TV for it.

I don't normally leave negative reviews, and I certainly don't normally get into arguments with customer service representatives over the phone, but my experience with Bath Fitter has been so frustrating that I've ended up doing both. I recently purchased a home that had a bath fitter tub installed in the upstairs bathroom that was done six years ago in 2009. Prior to purchasing the home I had looked into the shower area but hadn't actually gone into the tub. That was a big mistake on my part. Once I signed the mortgage documents, this tub was now my problem and my responsibility, and now I wish I had actually gone in the shower before I bought it. The first thing I noticed was that there was mold growing around all the edges and a slight ring stain around the tub, but I thought that maybe it just hadn't been cleaned in a while.
After reading other reviews here, I now see that is a common complaint of bath fitter tubs. I also noticed that a lot of the caulk around the edges had started to separate from the tub and that there were visible gaps between the edge of the tub and the tile above it, but I'm fairly handy so I figured I could fix that as well. My experience with bath fitter only continued to get worse from there. My first time using the tub, I realized that there were several places that would pop really loudly when you step on them from where the tape they use to adhere the shell to the existing bathtub had started to loosen. The first time it happened it was unexpected and so loud it almost gave me a heart attack. After reading other reviews I now see that that's another common problem with these tubs. I wish I had known that beforehand as well.
On calling bath fitter, I was told that the tub and installation were no longer covered under warranty since I was not the owner of the home at the point that it had been installed. Had I gone into the tub and realized it popped loudly in multiple areas every time you let your foot up prior to buying the house, I could have had the previous owner get it fixed under their warranty. But since I called two days after I bought the house instead of having them call two days before, they basically told me it wasn't their problem anymore. If you're considering purchasing a home with one of these tubs, make sure you actually go IN the tub before you buy it. To be fair, they do state on their website that the warranty applies "as long as you own the home" IF you're the person who chose to have this thing installed, but the minute someone else buys the house that warranty no longer applies.
A few calls and a lot of frustration later, I was told that they could send someone out to look at the tub, for a $75 service call fee. During one of these calls, which due to my frustration turned into more of an argument with the customer service rep than anything else, I was told that no one knows what might have happened in the six years since it had been installed. This is a fair point and not one that Bath fitter can be held responsible for, but they also couldn't guarantee that something hadn't happened during the original installation to compromise it, but that they assume it was done right because "that's why it lasted six years." If being done correctly only gets you six years out of this thing, I don't know why anyone would ever buy one in the first place.
I just wanted the problem resolved, because as it stands now I don't want anyone who visits to use it because it's embarrassing, so I finally agreed to the $75 service fee and scheduled to have someone come out to look at it. The customer service rep told me that she was sending one of their best people, and that he could heat up the shell and try to get it to re-adhere to the one underneath it, although I was told there was no guarantee of it being resolved even after being worked on
The service rep that showed up was really nice, but he walked around in it for a minute and told me that there was nothing he could do, and that if the popping had been closer to the front of the tub rather than all over that he might could have figured something out, but that the only thing they could do was rip out the whole thing and start again with trying to stick it back down, which would cost me $400-500 in labor. If I didn't want to pay the $500, the recommendation was that I try running some hot water and letting it sit for a while to maybe soften up the shell, then walk around on it to try to form it back so that it would stick again. The customer rep made it sound like reheating the tub was a common practice, but the repair rep that came didn't seem to know anything about it and wasn't aware that I'd been told that's what would be done.
So now I'm stuck with this thing, still popping every time you step on it, unless I want to pay $500 to have it ripped out and reapplied, with no guarantee to whether that will fix it either. At this point I wouldn't recommend bath fitter to ANYONE. It's been nothing but a nightmare from day one, and I would expect a quality product and a quality installation on anything to make it longer than six years before it becomes nothing more than an embarrassment in my home that I don't want anyone else to see. The only good thing about this so far is that the repair rep didn't charge me for the service call since he didn't actually do anything to fix it.
If you've made it to the end of this extremely long review, do yourself a favor and save your money before choosing to have one of these installed in your home. And if you're considering purchasing a home that already has one, make sure you walk around in it and have any issues fixed under the original warranty before you buy the house and get stuck with it like I did.

I was pleased with how nice everybody was because sometimes we'll never know if we're going to get somebody that's not so cooperative. The guy who installed it was as nice and friendly as he could be and he was wonderful, too. He had a hard time finding our house at first because we're not easy to find, but then he came and I was absolutely amazed. He was by himself and did it all in one day. I've talked to people about Bath Fitter and to call them if they want to do something like ours.

This is our second experience with Bath Fitter. As with the first, this job was a quality piece of work. A great product, but more importantly, a thoroughly professional installation job. The technician was well versed in his craft, was respectful of our property at all times, and was insistent upon keeping us well informed as to his progress. From the sales presentation, through contract administration and installation, this was one class act.

We've known about Bath Fitter for a while, and we chose them for two points: speed and price. We got our entire shower redone, and there are not enough glowing compliments to give to my new shower. The sales rep and the installation technician were both outstanding. The rep laid everything out. He gave us all sorts of options and worked with us to make sure we could do financing that would fit our budget. On top of that, the tech was absolutely amazing. He even left a small piece of the material so we could match paint for when we repaint our bathroom. They are both wonderful men, they gave great service. The worst company I have ever dealt with. We hired them to install a custom molded overlay to cover our existing bathtub and surround. They did not install what they said they would. The salesmen said it would be custom molded and overlaid on our existing tub and surround, even after coming back to measure a second time he reassured us that the overlay would fit perfectly. After that, we did not hear from them for some time. After calling them weeks later, they would not tell us when the work would be started. They did not tell us about any changes to the estimate nor did we agree to any changes to the estimate.
Then early one morning with no warning, or any kind of contact, they showed up at our door. After I left for work they completely removing the tub and surround. Instead of a custom molded overlay we received a smaller bath tub with a 3/4 inch crack between the tub and our brand new floor. A mismatched curtain rod that was installed crooked, and a corner shelf the was caulked on to the surround. We called multiple times to complain. They keep telling us a manager will call us, but no one ever does. I guess they think if they ignore us we will go away. Our next step is to complain to the Better Business Bureau. We have never been treated so poorly by a business.

We needed to remodel our bathroom and decided to go with Bath Fitter because it sounded like a good deal to me. My only concern is that it's very expensive. I’d taken consideration I could have done it all myself and what would it be worth to me to tear it all apart and do it all myself and be without a bathroom for probably several days. So we decided to pull the trigger on it and let Bath Fitter do it. We had them do the tub, the shower surround and the fixtures. Overall, we're happy. They did a really good job and were really professional. I can say that it's been really nice and so far, so good. We haven't had any issues with it. I'd recommend them all day long. I was glad we went ahead and did it.

It took a lot of patience on my part, but once the local manager became actively involved, the issues were resolved and Bathfitters offered fair compensation for my lost time. Again, we are satisfied with the PRODUCTS purchased and the job done by the installers, we just wish the office personnel could communicate better. Had the office staff offered proactive communications, even of bad or no news, it would have been much easier to be understanding. I should not have assumed the local management was being kept abreast of the situation.

Had sale call scheduled for Dec 12, 2015 at 1pm... 1pm, 1:15, 1:30... no salesman, no call. Called office at 1:45 and they told me "we don't know where he is". Finally got a call back at 2:15 saying he could be here in 30 minutes. Rescheduled. When sales rep got here we were pleased with the process. He worked with us on the budget. Not great pricing, but the timeline (1 day install) more than made up for that in our mind. We were told delivery would be 2-3 weeks (due to Christmas) Dec. 30th, still had not heard back from the office so I called them. They had to "check with the salesman". Never got a call back. I called them again on 1/4 and was told that they had to speak to the sales rep to finalize a couple of questions on the order (another way of saying the order hadn't been placed). But the gave me a scheduled install date... 2 weeks later 1/19.
They wanted to do BOTH bathrooms on the same day but something told me, don't do it, so I scheduled one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. No call backs to confirm the schedule so I call back on Monday the 18th to confirm and was told "all set". Tuesday came and they did the half bath. Took longer than was expected but was completed in a day. Wednesday rolls around and I get a call... "um, sorry, your tub is not in".
It was coming from a different factory and it takes 4-6 weeks so it won't be here until Friday. Rescheduled install for 1/28. On 1/22 I get a call... "sorry, tub didn't ship due to the storm". Get a call on Tuesday, 1/26 - Tub showed up... but it's damaged. Still trying to get another on here by Thursday. Wednesday afternoon comes and still no call back... so again, I call Bath Fitter... It shipped, but we don't know what time it will be here on Thursday.
Thursday comes... get the call... "we still expect the tub, but we're going to send the tech and plumber out to do the valve and the walls... we'll put the tub in van when it gets here and send it over". Well, 1pm comes, and the valves and the walls are done, no tub, so the tech leaves. I wait (im)patiently until 4:30 for the phone call to reschedule (AGAIN) then breakdown and call their office (hours 8:00am to 7:00 pm per the Bath Fitter's website) and get a recording "our office is closed". At this point I could have had a contractor in and done the whole project TWICE by now and we're still not done. VERY UNHAPPY Customer... as if they care!

We made the purchase five months ago and they came in to do it the end of December. We love everything, though the toilet is hard to flush. Everything else is fine and really nice.
The installation guy did a beautiful job. He was fast, wonderful and did it in one day. I'm only disappointed that he didn't caulk around the toilet and sink. He said he is only required to do the bathtub. It would only have taken a few minutes and he had the stuff right there. I would recommend Bath Fitter to people who couldn't do the work themselves. But if they could, I would recommend them to do that because it's way too much money.

He was knowledgeable, answered any questions we had and told us the ins and outs of how things would work so we decided to go with them. The fellow that does all the measuring was a very nice, polite and knew what he was doing. He was here no more than an hour. The initial delivery took about six weeks, which was quite long. I have a balance problem and I asked if it will be possible to pull the delivery up on the schedule and get the bathtub in a little quicker and that was done. The other guy came out and in less than a day and a half, he had the new one in.

Our agent Tim made sure that we had a new bathroom before Christmas. He met all of our requests for certain deadlines. Occasionally, he calls me to talk to potential clients to let them know that our experience with Bath Fitter was wonderful.
The installer was very professional, courteous, and informative. We have a newborn in the house and he would ask me if it's okay to come on a certain time because he knew we had to get the baby out. I really appreciate service like that. It took him 2 days because we had an old cast iron tub that he had to break up and get out. I have recommended Bath Fitter to some of my friends who are trying to do remodeling. I’ve tested my bathroom and sent it to them via e-mail, so that they could see the finished product and know that it’s low maintenance to take care of and it looks so nice. It fits so well. It’s everything Bath Fitter said it is. Transforms your whole bathroom.

We purchased a Bath fitter shower enclosure for a condo we own in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are very dissatisfied with the workmanship on this enclosure. We had to have the enclosure torn out and replaced once because the drain had not been installed correctly, causing a water backup. Recently we learned that the caulking had failed and water was getting behind the enclosure. Even though one item on the written list of what was included in our purchase is "Lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship for as long as you own the home", we are now being told that the warranty on the caulking is for one year, and the cost of a service call by Bath fitter to re-caulk the enclosure would be $75.
So, we had another contractor re-caulk the enclosure at a cost of $30. In this contractor's opinion, the gap where the wall and flooring are supposed to meet is larger than usual, requiring an excessive amount of caulk to fill the gap. He feels the components should fit together better than they do, and the enclosure was poorly installed. We would not recommend this product. It has been a huge disappointment.

Your estimator obviously loves his job and was both extremely helpful and efficient. He did not have to "sell me" -- the samples had done that.
All I wanted to see aside from the samples was a promise of good work, and I sure saw it! Next came an appointment from your office for measuring the baths and the man who came was warm and caring. Your installer did both jobs for us, and he could not have been nicer or more professional -- again, his enthusiasm for the job was abundant. He was detail oriented and explained any question we had. We were having problems with our old tub so we decide to go into a new one. Bath Fitter was a referral and we went with it because of their timeline. We purchased a whole new tub, which was a little bit wider in the back portion, a little bit deeper, and tapered up to where the faucet is. It's expensive compared to other bath installations but it is fast, convenient, and their work seems to be really good. My daughter is using it and seemed to be very pleased.
My only issue was that I would have liked to have had more options. The sales rep had a brochure and was like, "This is the one you want, according to what you’re saying you want.” We had thought about moving the location of the tub, and he thought that it was not an option because of the distance away from the original plumbing. So we ended up going with a different kind of a tub in order to give us a little more room. Also, we were never given a breakdown of what each thing costs. It was just a flat price. I would have liked to have seen what the other options were, as well as the cost, to see where we could have cut something to save a little bit of money, or maybe something that we would have liked better that we could have upgraded. Otherwise, it was a very good experience.

Installer arrived promptly and bathroom looked beautiful upon completion.
Few days later noticed small chip in tub and e-mailed pics to Manatee County office on December 10 at e-mail address she provided. Heard nothing back. December 15 called Manatee and was told she could not locate pics I sent her then stated she found them in her junk mail. She abruptly cut me off stating she would call me the following day after she had a chance to look at the schedule.
The following day she never called back. December 16, called Ft Myers office and complained about customer service, said they would have a manager call me in the morning. The following day I never received a return call. December 18, called Ft Myers again complaining about customer service and was transferred to a "manager". The "manager" told me they would have to reorder and install a new tub and it would probably be the second week in January. On January 11, again called Ft Myers expressing dissatisfaction with customer service and lack of contact. I again requested that someone come to my home to see the problem with the tub before they just show up and start tearing up my bathroom. I was told the "manager" was in a meeting and I left a call back number. Again, I did not receive a return call.
I am very frustrated with Bath fitter's customer service. As stated in some of the other reviews, once they get their money, it appears they do not back their work or their product nor do they bother to return customer's calls. I am losing patience and my next step will be the BBB. Also, the installer did not provide me with a lifetime warranty card so I could register the work I had done.

We liked how Bath Fitter looked and the quality it promised to give us so we chose them and bought a shower-tub combination. Several installers went and every one of them was very good. They were very quick, knew what they were doing, and very gracious. One of the installers, Black, worked extremely hard. We had a very good relationship so we are very pleased with him. We will recommend them and already have.

I had a great experience with Bath Fitter. We'd been talking about remodeling the bathroom for at least a couple of years. Their sales representatives were great. When they came out they explained the process and product and I thought it was good. Also, we like the product that was displayed so we went with them. We did the basement shower, it was an old concrete block shower, and we wanted to dress it down. The installation team was excellent. They were late but within the half-hour so it was fine. I showed them where the work was, what they needed to do and I was able to get out and get back to work so I could get home at a decent hour. Overall, it was great. Everything was almost too easy.

Bath Fitters did an excellent job installing our tub and wall surround. The installer was very professional and worked all day. He was very friendly, too. We like the fact that everyone involved all work for Bath Fitters, they're not subcontractors. We would highly recommend the company. The only things we would tweak: 1) The salesman told us it would be two complete pieces. Maybe that's the case with a standard tub/wall job. Our job included the ceiling and wrap-around corners outside the tub to cover all of the existing tile. So ours was many pieces...not two. The sales people need to be clear on that. I was surprised that he said two pieces and then saw that it was not. I'm still happy with it. But I feel that needs to be changed.
2) The other item is the shelving. The salesman told us we would be able to pick where the 4 individual shelves would be placed during the install. That was also not the case. The installer brought a single, four-shelf unit. Which is fine but, again, that wasn't represented properly during the sale. Thank you for a great experience. It looks GREAT! And we would be happy to recommend your company.

I needed to remodel my bathroom because I couldn't get my bathroom any cleaner, the plumbing was off, the window screen was all ripped off, and the window was broken. I chose Bath Fitter to do it for me because of the quality and lifetime guarantee they offer. It's expensive to get your bathroom done and you never want to have to do it again in your lifetime. I also purchased the entire bathtub from them about a year ago and had them come in twice already, first for the downstairs bathroom and then again for my upstairs bathroom.
I had two different sales reps and they were both very good, personable, easy to talk to and explained everything. Both mechanics from the installation team were also great. The young man who worked downstairs came in at 8:00 in the morning and never stopped working until after 5:00 o'clock. He had a lot of work to do because he had to fix the pipes before he actually did the bathroom. The other guy that came and worked upstairs was another gem because the bathroom there was built very weirdly like the ceiling and everything was all kinds of odd, but he made that whole piece look beautiful and kept me informed all the way. Both of them were phenomenal and deserve recommendations because they were very excellent.

At first, I wasn't really sure whether I was going to go with Bath Fitter or not until they sent someone here to explain their product, and that made the decision for us. We had a tub installed in one bathroom, then a tub and lining in another, and they did it in one day. Their sales rep was very pleasant. He explained a lot of things and was very informative. The installation team was also great and very professional. They answered any questions I had and explained to me what they were doing. I love the way the tub looks now. I was tired of looking at the tile with the mildew because it was so ugly, but it's beautiful now.
The only problem I have with it is that I am handicapped with a bad knee and a bad back. I can no longer get in the Bath Fitter tub even though it has the rails because the tub is so slippery. I had no idea it was going to be that slippery, so I can't get out of it when I got in there one night to take a bath. My granddaughter had to come in and try to get me out. And it took me another 20 minutes to try to get out of the tub because I kept sliding. But still, I enjoy the tub and the bathroom looks really nice.

It was time to remodel because I was disgusted with the tower that was put in by Harold in Maryland 10 years ago. It had deteriorated into crap and I was unhappy with the former restoration that I did of our bathroom. The tower came down from one wall and was over an inch from meeting the bottom and they filled it in with a filler. It was running the wall all the way down. And they mixed brass and silver, brass and chrome, but it was supposed to be all brass. It was a mess. I decided to go with Bath Fitter because I saw the results of Bath Fitter's work at my parents' house. It was very nice and it's still very nice to this day.
The person that I was put in contact with for my initial discussion was a total **. He was, in my estimate, the worst. I teach management in college. He made some smart ** comment, like, "Well, you're probably a guy who wouldn't spend $6,000 to fix a bathroom anyhow," and that turned me off very fast. But I ended up buying anyhow because several months later, a lady manager from Bath Fitter contacted me. She was curious why I had shown so much interest but then I did not follow through with the meeting, so I explained it to her.
She said, "Let me send somebody else out." And they did and the individual was wonderful, explained everything, and I was very pleased with what I heard from him. My purchase came to somewhere between $6,000 and $7,000. They just did it here about a month and a half ago. The fellow who did the installation was 100 percent terrific. He was a worker. He came in and finished the job, and I don't even know when he ate lunch. If he took lunch, he did a 15-minute lunch, then he was back at work. Then in the two days that he was there, I looked at that job and thought if I had to do that, I'd probably be weeks getting that done. He walked in there, was very methodical about what he had to do, and never hesitated with anything that was needed. He was very good. I've been using the product now for about two months and I'm tickled to death with it. I certainly like it and I hope that everything stays as good as it is.

I have nothing but good things to say about Bath Fitter. The previous owners of our house had a bath remodeled with Bath Fitter, but we noticed a problem after moving in. They came out to look at it, said they would back their work and replace the shower. That was very surprising, as so many other companies do not stand by their work or product. We didn't have to wait too long for the install appointment and the gentleman who came out to do the work was great. He was friendly, very professional, and prompt. He also took care to protect all of the floors throughout the house leading to that bathroom. The job did seem rushed, but was finished quickly and beautifully. Josh did a lovely job on the replacement and I could not have asked for better. Very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Bath Fitter for their wonderful customer service, professional attitude, and quality work. Thank you!

Our 32 years old tub cracked in the middle, so we had to replace it. We shopped around and got a hold of Bath Fitter. He showed us all the brochures and options. We discussed cost and financing and how the installation process would work. He was very knowledgeable and polite and I was really happy with him.
We made our purchase in early August but there was a six-week waiting period, so they installed it right after Labor Day. We had them install a whole new tub, the surround and a new flooring underneath it. They told us from the very beginning that it would be a two-day process, that their workers show up on time and they did. They were there at exactly 7:30 a.m. like they said they would. They came in, did their job, and cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional.

In Sept of 2012 we signed a contract to have our shower replaced. It was done in October 2012. Everything was great. About 6-8 months later we called to have a tech come out and redo the sealant because it was pulling away from the shower wall. Shortly thereafter we called regarding the attaching hardware to the door. The hardware as well as the rail that the door glides on has corrosion pits. The tech that came to the house was the same one who installed the shower. He first said the pits were dirty, then he scratched them and said "No that isn't dirty, that is corrosion." I had already told him I knew this because I did the same thing as he did. He got the door replaced. It seems to be every 8 months or so that we have to have the walls or doors resealed. This last time was October 2015. We told the tech about the corrosion of the door hardware and he said he would see about getting them and ordering them if needed.
It is now January 4, 2016 and I just called because my handheld shower sprayer head popped off over the holidays. I have been told the earliest anyone can come to look and possibly fix my show head is January 13, 2016. I realize this is a lifetime warranty shower, but to have called in repairs every 8 months or so is a bit ridiculous considering how much it cost to put this shower in. I do not want to have to call every 8 months to have repairs done to a shower for the rest of my life. If the product that is being used corrodes then buy from another company. Don't expect your clients to constantly call for repairs.

I had a tub installed in mid-December 2015. I used the shower twice before going on Christmas vacation. When I returned in January, I continued to use my shower. Unknown to me, my neighbors downstairs had started to notice water on their walls. When I finally used the tub for a bath and opened the stopper to release the water, the water came through their ceiling. The installer didn't properly seal the drain! This was in February 2015. I immediately contacted Bath Fitter and was told Justin was out of the office, but he would get back to me. He did not. I sent him an email on 2/27/15 (he replied asking if my plumber had fixed the drain, and then nothing) and again in June I sent another email with the original string that he didn't respond to. I had to call the main office 800 number at least 5 times to get Justin to return my calls. I sent him pictures and the bills and he sat on them until August, at which time he submitted this to the insurance company.
I heard from them in August accepting liability. It is now the end of December 2015 -- 10 months later; I have received nothing from Bath Fitter or the insurance company. Pay more and get a reputable company to install your Bath. For what I had to pay in damages and the cost of the tub, I would have saved $1000 getting a bath install and vanity done by 2 other reputable companies in the San Diego area. Don't use them, no follow through. When there are problems, they duck and cover -- or just never pay attention to their emails and phone calls hoping you go away.

The other bathroom needed to have something done with the tub, and so we decided to go ahead and have a line put in for that.
The salesman presented what Bath Fitter had to offer. With the guarantee as far as service, it sounded like we couldn't go wrong and the price was right. Initially, we were doing one bathroom but decided to go ahead and do two bathrooms after talking to him. He couldn't have been nicer and presented what we thought was a good product.
I was totally amazed that the installation team put in a bathtub in a day. They came in, put the first bathroom in, started the second bathroom the same day that morning, and by the next day I had two bathrooms remodeled. They were neat, only cut off our water for about an hour, and otherwise worked through lunch. They did a fabulous job. The walls that they put up on the outside were seamless and very easy to take care of. The tub was fabulous and the shower worked out and has been quite nice also. They had to do a bit more plumbing than I had thought for the shower because of the placement of the outlet for water but they did, again, a very nice job. And they put in all the safety handles and it's a far safer tub and shower stall than we ever had before.

We decided to renovate our bathroom because of our health conditions. We’re getting older and it's turning difficult getting in and out of the bathtub. We made the purchase from Bath Fitter a couple of months ago. We had the existing tub removed and had the shower stall put in with no door. It was over $10,000 which was pretty pricey.
We set it up and paid a thousand down and we had $9,000 more due. The second I got a bill on that, I sent in the $9,000 to pay it off. Three weeks later, I got a bill for more than 60 dollars. I called, and they said, “Don’t you understand? Yes, finance charges.” We paid it off. I know we didn’t have the 90-day same-as-cash but we paid it off within a certain amount of time, the very first time we got a bill and when I got an address to where we could send the money. We got billed for finance charges on money that we didn’t even use.
The person that came in and wrote the contract was a little cocky. We wanted a towel bar because that’s where we normally hang things, and he kind of didn’t like us to put it there. It’s nothing to him, but to us it was important. We ended up getting it, but not without a little snippy remark from him. I’m glad we got the shower, but I'm not happy with the salesman that came in and set up the deal. If he told us that there was 90-day same-as-cash, we would have taken it. We wouldn’t have had to pay additional finance charges to a company that really didn’t do anything.
I’m satisfied with the product, but I’m not satisfied with the way it was done. I would tell people to get another opinion before they go to Bath Fitters. I don’t think we should have dealt with the finance company, and I don’t think we should’ve had to deal with the salesman’s little remark that he thought was cute but it really wasn’t cute to us.

I liked that Bath Fitter redo all the plumbing and it's all covered under warranty so I went ahead with them. I got a shower for my basement, a bathtub upstairs, and glass doors on both. The sales guy was fine and the installers did okay. But unfortunately, I live in a city that the city inspector actually has to come sign-off on the job. The plumber that they arranged to have come out did not give them ample notice. So I was told that they probably wouldn’t be able to complete it. I wasn’t happy because I didn’t want to take extra vacation time.
I called the city inspector and found out that the plumber didn’t even notify them until the morning he showed up at my house. They came out around two o’clock in the afternoon. And the guy installing was like “Well, it’s really gonna put us behind,” and I’m like “That was not my fault.” It was a 100-degree day and I have to sit outside in the heat with my two dogs. They started probably about 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning and didn’t get done till almost 7:30 that night.
It was a nightmare. For Bath Fitter to say it's a one-day procedure is really pushing it for their installers. I feel bad for the installers because they did everything they could in their power to get it done. But other than that, I love the finished product and the guys were very, very nice, trying to be very helpful with the situation.

I had two bathrooms worked on. The primary installers - John ** and Denny ** were fine - very professional. Scheduling was an issue - I was told one thing by one person (I could have them both done over two days with two teams) and then be told by someone else that not only could that not happen but I had to schedule it differently. I wanted them done before the new sliding doors were in but no one called to schedule until I finally kept contacting and probably made a pest of myself. I had issues with one assistant who in moving things in and out of the house pushed a brand new sliding door off the track and then did not bother to inform me - I caught it as Denny was leaving and he assisted in helping me put it on the track but there was some damage to the finish.
I also was just informed by the township that my building permit was going to be unapproved since no follow-up inspection had been done. They are coming today to look at it but no one throughout the process told me anything about needing an inspection - had the township not notified me to have it done, the case would have been closed as unapproved and may have created issues later. I have been very happy with my new shower but think the process and communication should have been better and for that reason I cannot give a good review.

I think I might have got him in trouble at the time. We thank Jeff and Scott and the installer Ron for a professional job from start to finish. Photos included.

Due to an unforeseen plumbing issue, my tub install the day before Thanksgiving was stopped midway. I had guests arriving Thanksgiving Day. I waited all day for someone to call and tell me what was going to happen. I called the branch, I left messages with my salesperson, and finally after 6pm on Thanksgiving Eve was told there was nothing they could do that day, but they would be able to do the entire bathroom in two weeks because the tile was in stock. This left me without a usable bathroom from 11/25 until Bath Fitter would be able to come out to install the tub, repair the walls, and fix plumbing on 12/9. I called the branch on 12/7 to verify the time of my appointment and if anyone was coming out to remeasure the bathroom. No, although I was told by the salesperson that would happen, my bathroom now did not require remeasuring.
So on 12/9, I took a second day off of work to accommodate Bath Fitter. The plumbers showed up and had no scope of work. They were horrified that my bathroom had been left unusable with a hole in the tub for weeks. They eventually got instruction and the gentleman who would be installing the bathtub and walls did his portion. When we was leaving, I asked why the ceiling and the wainscoting were not complete. He explained that was not in his scope of work. So now I have a bathroom where there is new white subway tile and old, ugly cream colored tiles.
I called the salesperson and she said she was sorry for the confusion and she wanted me to be happy. She would send me a quote right away and get it resolved, for $1000+ more of course! Here we are two days later and I have no written quote. Is it this difficult to provide a customer a normal looking bathroom. No response to my emails. I'm sick of chasing people down that I'm paying to do a job. I guarantee they won't have what I need in stock and I'll spend another holiday unhappy. But I guess I can at least shower in my ugly bathroom starting today, so I should be thankful!

Fantastic experience! It was at a home show where I took interest and first talked to Bath Fitter. I have chosen them over a different remodelling company because I liked the fact that their product was seamless, and that they had somebody come in my home to ask me what I was looking for. The representative was very good and she helped me decide because I went in a different direction than I originally thought of. The subway tile design look is what I ended up with.
We used them twice. I did my master bathroom first and converted a walk-in shower I had there to make it more easily maintained and more handicap accessible, with the bar. Then the second time, I did a tub-shower combination in my second bathroom. If it hadn’t been for the interaction with my sales representative, I probably wouldn’t have done the second one. I was so pleased with the first that I chose to do the second and I’ve since given several referrals to them. The only concern I have is that I’ve been told that I have a leak under my house and I don’t know if it’s in the plumbing that they did, but I would recommend them.

After precise measurements were taken for this project and today's date scheduled, the installer arrived on time and began immediately as planned at 9:00 AM. The installer, Chris, took his time to ensure a complete and thorough installation of the new shower walls, tub overlay, sealing and plumbing. All came together in timely manner and the installation was completed at 2:00 PM. I highly recommend this particular company for anyone who is contemplating this type of project. My mother likes new stuff and the bathroom was looking old so it was time to remodel it. The price that Bath Fitter gave her was better than she expected. Also, they have a very professional sales representative. I don’t think my mother and father would have dealt business with them if they weren't. During the installation, I helped the guy and I was impressed on how quick and easy everything was because some people like to drag on the project. A few years ago I went to a friend's house and she showed me her bathroom that was done by Bath Fitter and I really liked it. So I purchased the bathtub and surround board two years ago and I got the shower stall and surrounding last August. I dealt with two different sales representatives and they were both very knowledgeable and very good at making accommodations for me. Jeff, the installer, did both projects and he was spectacular, a great craftsman and hardworking. He worked straight through and didn't even take lunch. He was above and beyond what I imagine someone would be like installing a difficult and complicated project because of what he had to maneuver around. Bath Fitter is well-worth the money and a good experience.

I had the salesman measure and then another person come another day and measure for about an hour. When my tub surround was installed, it covered from the top of the tub to the ceiling. The previous tile was to the floor and a different color and style. The old tile was not covered by the new surround so the installer had to attempt to cut pieces (that you can see the cuts and caulk them) to make them blend in. Was this a measuring mistake? Was this normal? This was never mentioned as being a problem. The newly-hired installer did the best he could, but it's definitely noticeable. Needless to say, very dissatisfied with that look.
The second thing that is truly is disheartening is the choice I made for the oversized soap dish. After about 10-10.5 hours of being here the installer asks me where I want it placed. Unfortunately, I didn't think long enough (because I needed this process to end) and picked a terrible place to put it, that I am now stuck with. Had this installer had more experience or didn't have to work an 11 or 12 hour day without a break, maybe he could have suggested a better place to put the soap dish. As a consumer, I depend on the "experts" to help guide me not to make a mistake. Unfortunately, this didn't happen and I will have to live with the mistake. I believe the company sets up the installer to fail by committing to a one day install for certain jobs. My job was almost 12 hours and my installer had a helper (which they told me was unusual). So all in all, I would NOT recommend this process to anyone.

We heard about Bath Fitter through BBB. There were two other people that came but when I seen Bath Fitter's, I said, "Oh, man. I want that." So we had them for my daughter's special needs. They did three quotes and picked the lowest one. I loved the salesman. He was great and sold his product well. And then the people that put it in were excellent, friendly, and explained things to us.
We also love the shower but I am having a little trouble with this rubber part that I wheel my daughter in. In the corner, there wasn't enough silicone so we've got to put some more because it's leaking out. But it's very hard because it has that little rubber strip for the wheelchair to go over. But otherwise, that's nothing. Put a little stuff and we're fine. Another problem is because there are no doors, I get water all over the place. I stand by my daughter with that little handheld shower and she'll hit my arm and the water's all over the floor. I wish I could've had glass doors. But really, we were very happy and pleased with the company. I've been telling people about it. It's nice because there's not a lot of seams and it's easier to take care of.

In the beginning, we knew there was going to be a narrow opening to get in and out of the shower with the sliding glass doors. Didn't realize it was going to be as narrow as it is -- 15 or 16 inches to get in and out of the shower. They were going to send somebody out to look at it, but we couldnt get together on a Saturday. Overall, I'm happy with the product and with the job they did.

We started thinking about the possibility of redoing our bathrooms three years ago and it was when we went to an open home event at the local state fairgrounds, where there were a bunch of different manufacturers and vendors, that we talked to local representatives of Bath Fitters here in Albuquerque. We discussed it with them and when we were kind of onboard about it, it was just a matter of waiting until the finances and the budget were correct. So in the first of July 2014, we made our purchase. It was our first Bath Fitter remodel for both our bathrooms, the master and the main bathroom.
I also had a lot of opportunities to interact with their installation team because, in the process of doing the master bathroom, they were trying to hook up the shower pan and the standards that are today. The house that I live in was built in '57 and the piping was not in the same position, so they needed to dig down passed the house foundation in order to do an elbow of that. In the process of doing that they came across an existing galvanized piping that had been exposed and created a big hole in it. This was underneath the house that was big enough for a man to stand into. So once that happened, they had to pull back and I had to bring plumbing in to fix the pipe underneath the foundation of the house because the galvanized piping that they used back in '57 is only good as long as it's encased, once air or water moisture gets in, it breaks down.
It took about four weeks for the concrete to cure, so Bath Fitter were able to come back and finish the whole project by the end of July. But during that time frame and what was going on Bath Fitter brought in their plumbers who evaluated the situation. I had a third party come in and evaluate the situation as well so I got two different plumbing experts to give me what they thought was going to happen. We then contacted a local plumbing agency and they did the work.
It's done with now. The work on the plumbing and what Bath Fitter did for us for installing the two new bathrooms have all paid off so I'm happy again. Bath Fitter also did follow ups with me and they were able to take care of little idiosyncrasy that got in with their construction and we have nothing but the best relationship. If anybody would ask me about remodeling, I would turn them on to the local representative here for Bath Fitter.

He was nice, efficient and professional. He showed me everything, including the detailed list of the costs. My person kept getting called away to do other things and fix-it jobs at other places. It seemed like from one-day installation to it took a while to get it completely done. There had been something ordered incorrectly so I didn’t have all my parts, fixtures, etc. in place at the same time. There was another wait for that. They also didn’t do a proper job on the caulking gel that they used so they had to come back out and fix that as well after the installation.
